- 0:00Speaker 1: Welcome one and all. It's Thursday, April 30th, 2026. It's
- 0:04Speaker 1: 49 degrees. How about that rain we had yesterday? Some
- 0:08Speaker 1: more heavy rain. I mean, everything is just so saturated
- 0:11Speaker 1: out there in my neck of the woods, to say
- 0:14Speaker 1: the least. I mean, it's just saturated out there, and
- 0:16Speaker 1: then there's more rain in the forecast. Plenty of April showers.
- 0:19Speaker 1: We should be... Just having a wonderful May flowers, if
- 0:23Speaker 1: you go with the old cliche. But, I mean, we
- 0:25Speaker 1: have just had an excessive amount of rain. Sump pumps
- 0:29Speaker 1: are working hard. Hard to get anything done, to say
- 0:32Speaker 1: the least. And it's... It can be frustrating. Anyway, good afternoon,
- 0:36Speaker 1: one and all. It's chilly, isn't it? Can I bellyache
- 0:39Speaker 1: a little bit about the temperature? Is it possible that
- 0:43Speaker 1: I can? Well, I've got your ear. I think it's
- 0:45Speaker 1: time for me to bellyache maybe a little bit about
- 0:48Speaker 1: this temperature that we've been having. What happens to springtime?
- 0:53Speaker 1: I mean, it's just gone. So you say to yourself,
- 0:57Speaker 1: what are we at, 49 degrees? It's just been some
- 1:01Speaker 1: days you have Decent temperatures and some days you're back
- 1:04Speaker 1: to sweatshirts and winter vests and that kind of stuff.
- 1:09Speaker 1: So let me review the, as we end up April,
- 1:12Speaker 1: let me review the weather for the month of April.
- 1:15Speaker 1: It's rained way too much, way, way too much. It's
- 1:19Speaker 1: rained way too much. And the temperature fluctuation is bizarre.
- 1:23Speaker 1: I mean, it'd be decent one day and almost spring-like.
- 1:27Speaker 1: And then the next day, you're digging out your sweatshirt
- 1:30Speaker 1: and your winter vest and that kind of stuff because
- 1:32Speaker 1: it's just so cold outside. That has been the month
- 1:36Speaker 1: of April. So let's hope for... What better conditions in May?
- 1:41Speaker 1: Although one of the weather guys was saying they think
- 1:44Speaker 1: it'll be cooler in May as well. So there you
- 1:46Speaker 1: have it. Belly aching is officially out of the way.
- 1:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:50Speaker 1: How about... Do you think the people... Here's a question
- 1:53Speaker 1: for you. Do you think the people in Poland feel
- 1:57Speaker 1: betrayed by their own library system? Attention, folks in Poland.
- 2:06Speaker 2: So..
- 2:07Speaker 1: It seemed to me, just from my catbird seat here,
- 2:11Speaker 1: and correct me if I'm wrong, the vast majority of
- 2:13Speaker 1: people in Poland wanted to save their library. They like
- 2:17Speaker 1: where it's at. They like everything about it. Yes, it's sinking.
- 2:23Speaker 1: But the citizens of Poland seem to say, we'd rather
- 2:27Speaker 1: invest money in fixing it than ripping down this beautiful
- 2:32Speaker 1: facility and building a new one. Now, that seemed to
- 2:36Speaker 1: be what I heard overwhelmingly. So if you're listening today
- 2:40Speaker 1: in Poland, don't let the cat get your tongue. Pick
- 2:43Speaker 1: up the phone, give me a call. I'll give you
- 2:44Speaker 1: the number out momentarily. It seemed to me that seemed
- 2:47Speaker 1: to be the consensus, the majority of opinion in Poland
- 2:51Speaker 1: was we want to save our library. And let's see,
- 2:58Speaker 1: last time they had a meeting, they didn't vote. I
- 3:01Speaker 1: think they were like afraid to vote. They didn't vote.
- 3:05Speaker 1: So all the people that made those arguments and spoke
- 3:08Speaker 1: about this were totally ignored. The wishes of the community seemed,
- 3:16Speaker 1: from my perspective, like they were totally ignored. So you
- 3:20Speaker 1: have this library board. They sit down. They say, well,
- 3:23Speaker 1: we're just going to build a new one. End of story.
- 3:26Speaker 1: See you later. Have a good day. Bye, everybody. And
- 3:30Speaker 1: I'm sitting here asking if that upsets the citizens of Poland.
- 3:37Speaker 1: I mean, as a citizen of Poland, do you feel
- 3:39Speaker 1: that you are being ignored and your library system betrayed you?
- 3:45Speaker 1: And believe me when I tell you, the library system
- 3:47Speaker 1: has more money than they know what to do with.
- 3:49Speaker 1: They are that flush with money. I've told you that
- 3:52Speaker 1: time and time again. I do not, I, Ron Verb, admit,
- 3:55Speaker 1: I do not vote for the renewal of the library levy.
- 3:59Speaker 1: I haven't because I know their finances, they just are
- 4:02Speaker 1: collecting way more money than they need. It's out of control.
- 4:06Speaker 1: It's totally out of control. So I don't continue to say, oh,
- 4:11Speaker 1: I'm going to vote for that and continue to give
- 4:13Speaker 1: them all this money that is more than they need.
- 4:15Speaker 1: And their biggest problem is figuring out how to spend it.
- 4:19Speaker 1: That's their biggest problem. So consequently... I guess, what, they're
- 4:26Speaker 1: building a new library in Struthers. Now they're going to
- 4:29Speaker 1: build another new one in Poland. But they got all
- 4:31Speaker 1: kinds of money to do this stuff. Like I say,
- 4:33Speaker 1: their biggest problem is how do we spend all this
- 4:35Speaker 1: money every year that we're taking from the taxpayer? But
- 4:39Speaker 1: it is interesting that the citizens of Poland were ignored.
- 4:44Speaker 1: And I would like to hear from some of them. Attention,
- 4:46Speaker 1: citizens of Poland, I'd like to hear from some of
- 4:48Speaker 1: you today about it. Because... That was just my consensus
- 4:54Speaker 1: of it. All right, gas prices. Gas prices. Five bucks
- 5:01Speaker 1: a gallon. Yes, I see some stations there like at 470.
- 5:06Speaker 1: It can get confusing because some of the signs that
- 5:08Speaker 1: are posted aren't what the average person pays for 87 octane.
- 5:12Speaker 1: You got to be a member of whatever the Advantage
- 5:14Speaker 1: Club or whatever it is to get the price that's
- 5:17Speaker 1: posted there. But I thought, well, is a $ 5 gas
- 5:21Speaker 1: station a freak in our area or is it common?
- 5:24Speaker 1: So when I'm driving, I see Speedway's at $ 5. I
- 5:26Speaker 1: see Shell's at $ 5. So I see most of them
- 5:29Speaker 1: as I'm coming down here is at $ 5 a gallon.
- 5:34Speaker 1: And then, of course, well, you just got to bear
- 5:36Speaker 1: with it for a little bit. Just got to hang
- 5:38Speaker 1: in there. And we shall see what's a little bit
- 5:42Speaker 1: is what I like to define. Because, I mean, it's
- 5:48Speaker 1: shocking to fill up your vehicle. It's just shocking to
- 5:53Speaker 1: fill up your vehicle. And then take a look at
- 5:55Speaker 1: what the price of diesel is as a result of it. Now,
- 5:59Speaker 1: all those people that say to me, well, you know,
- 6:01Speaker 1: you just give it some time, would be the first
- 6:03Speaker 1: one bitching if it was Biden as president. So, okay,
- 6:09Speaker 1: let's give it some time. How much time? Comments, please.
- 6:17Speaker 1: We shall see.
- 6:17Speaker 2: 330-729-9977.
- 6:18Speaker 1: 330-729-9977 is my top secret unlisted number if you want
- 6:20Speaker 1: to get on the air. 330-729-9977. We'll get you through.
- 6:23Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Hello?
- 6:24Speaker 4: Hey, Ron.
- 6:24Speaker 1: How you doing today? I'm well. Thank you for calling.
- 6:27Speaker 1: As far as the weather, springtime in Ohio, right? It's just.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Seen it like that for years off and on.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Well, I've been around a long time, too, but I
- 6:49Speaker 1: can't recall it being as much rain as we've... It's
- 6:53Speaker 1: not a typical springtime with this amount of rain, in
- 6:55Speaker 1: my memory.
- 6:59Speaker 4: Yeah, but we were so dry in the fall, so
- 7:01Speaker 4: it's kind of a good thing, in my opinion.
- 7:04Speaker 1: All right.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Especially what we didn't get. But I wanted to bring up,
- 7:09Speaker 4: there was a news article in a local paper that Latonia,
- 7:13Speaker 4: they're wanting to do a tax increase by half percent
- 7:17Speaker 4: down there. And the article was in there that the
- 7:21Speaker 4: town was like, well, we kind of need it and
- 7:24Speaker 4: that because if we don't get it, we might have
- 7:26Speaker 4: to do some layoffs. But at the same time, that
- 7:29Speaker 4: half percent increase, the mayor's telling people, I'll take away
- 7:32Speaker 4: the 11% that you paid a village, just pay the
- 7:35Speaker 4: half percent, but you end up actually paying $ 50 more
- 7:39Speaker 4: and than you did on the 11%.
- 7:44Speaker 1: What is this, an income tax?
- 7:46Speaker 4: Yeah, it's an income tax.
- 7:48Speaker 1: In Latonia, because I confess I'm not familiar with it.
- 7:52Speaker 1: So they want to put a new income tax on?
- 7:56Speaker 4: Yes, by a half percent they want to raise the
- 7:59Speaker 4: income tax, but to 2%. And then the mayor's telling people,
- 8:05Speaker 4: and he's going to retirees and go... Well, I'm taking
- 8:09Speaker 4: away the 11% of your property tax that the Village
- 8:12Speaker 4: Connect collects, and you won't have to pay for it anyways.
- 8:17Speaker 4: But when the working class looks at the half percent increase,
- 8:21Speaker 4: all right, that half percent increase is actually the average
- 8:25Speaker 4: person would pay $ 50 more than the 11%. So he's
- 8:32Speaker 4: not really taking it away, dividing his community between retirees
- 8:37Speaker 4: and and the working class.
- 8:39Speaker 5: Right.
- 8:40Speaker 4: And then they're turning around, they spend $ 258, 000 on a
- 8:44Speaker 4: bathroom for the splash pad, and they had to take
- 8:49Speaker 4: out a $ 150, 000 loan to cover the rest. Then they
- 8:54Speaker 4: want to build a dog park on railroad property and
- 8:58Speaker 4: pay rent every year on that property, plus the maintenance
- 9:02Speaker 4: and to maintain it, let alone to build it. They
- 9:05Speaker 4: have a park on top of the hill that they
- 9:07Speaker 4: could go and look at using part of it and
- 9:11Speaker 4: not have to pay any rent yearly for a dog park.
- 9:15Speaker 4: So it sounds to me it's more like a tax
- 9:18Speaker 4: and spend issue with the village. But they want to
- 9:22Speaker 4: put it on the backs of the working class that
- 9:25Speaker 4: are struggling. And I don't think that's fair.
- 9:27Speaker 1: Well, it sounds to me like you're on the fence
- 9:30Speaker 1: that you don't know how you're going to vote. Well,
- 9:33Speaker 1: I don't. It sounds to me like you just haven't
- 9:37Speaker 1: made up your mind, and you just haven't done enough research. Well, okay,
- 9:41Speaker 1: so I would think, based on what you said, that
- 9:46Speaker 1: many of your constituents might agree with you on that.
- 9:49Speaker 1: It's a hefty increase, so you're saying you're already paying, what,
- 9:51Speaker 1: a 1.5% income tax?
- 9:53Speaker 4: Yes, it would take it to 2%. Yeah. And what's
- 9:57Speaker 4: that going to do for growth for the villages? And that's...
- 9:59Speaker 4: one of my other points. Is it really going to
- 10:01Speaker 4: encourage people to move there or business?
- 10:05Speaker 1: You remember this. They're not going to be happy until
- 10:08Speaker 1: they have all of your money. Just remember that, all right?
- 10:12Speaker 4: Well, here's the other thing. They want the tax increase,
- 10:15Speaker 4: but they want to put all the money into the
- 10:16Speaker 4: general fund under control of the council and the mayor. So,
- 10:23Speaker 4: I mean, it's really kind of a weird situation, but
- 10:28Speaker 4: it's not. How do you divide your community between retirees
- 10:33Speaker 4: and the working class? And you tell one group, just
- 10:36Speaker 4: pay more. But you're kind of, you know.
- 10:40Speaker 1: I get you.
- 10:40Speaker 4: You need things for your village.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Right.
- 10:43Speaker 4: You know what I mean?
- 10:43Speaker 1: But you're saying, do we really need to... some of
- 10:47Speaker 1: the stuff that they want to spend it on. All right,
- 10:48Speaker 1: I'll put it out there and see what people say.
- 10:50Speaker 4: One last thing, and it's a small village. They're paying
- 10:54Speaker 4: two administrators right now. But thank you.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Thank you. You're on the air.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Ryan, today at Mobile Gas Station, the price was $ 4. 79
- 11:09Speaker 3: a gallon.
- 11:09Speaker 1: In Fort Lauderdale?
- 11:11Speaker 3: Yeah, for cash customers only.
- 11:15Speaker 1: Oh, fine. $ 4. 80 if you paid cash.
- 11:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So you're at basically $ 5 a gallon down there.
- 11:22Speaker 3: Yeah, we are, but gas prices have come down a bit,
- 11:25Speaker 3: and I'm guessing because all the snowbirds have gone home
- 11:29Speaker 3: and less demand for gas. Now, I'm calling to repute
- 11:38Speaker 3: everything Rich said yesterday. But first, I want to commend
- 11:41Speaker 3: the boss lady. for knowing more about Lexner than I do.
- 11:48Speaker 3: Lex Rexner.
- 11:49Speaker 1: That wasn't the boss lady. That was Denise.
- 11:52Speaker 3: Oh, Denise?
- 11:53Speaker 1: Okay.
- 11:54Speaker 3: We should be listening to her, not she, too. She's
- 11:57Speaker 3: far more informed on who's pulling the strings on Donald
- 12:02Speaker 3: Trump and members of Congress. And she's a very intelligent woman.
- 12:07Speaker 3: I give her a lot of credit.
- 12:09Speaker 1: Are you talking about the person who was... Called about,
- 12:12Speaker 1: is it called APAC or whatever?
- 12:15Speaker 3: I believe that was the one, yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't think that was a, I think that
- 12:19Speaker 1: was a different guy. That wasn't a woman, that was
- 12:21Speaker 1: a guy that called me. Very smart.
- 12:23Speaker 3: No, no, this was a woman.
- 12:25Speaker 1: Well, I had a guy that called me yesterday that
- 12:28Speaker 1: was talking about the Tucker Carlson interview with Marjorie Taylor Greene.
- 12:33Speaker 1: And he was basically talking about... I think it's called AIPAC.
- 12:37Speaker 1: It's the lobbyist arm for Israel and how influential they
- 12:41Speaker 1: are as far as people that are in the Senate
- 12:45Speaker 1: and Congress and how that if you don't go along
- 12:49Speaker 1: with them, they kind of target you. There was a
- 12:51Speaker 1: caller that was talking about that yesterday and the influence
- 12:55Speaker 1: they have. And he was talking about Marjorie Taylor Greene's
- 12:57Speaker 1: interview with Tucker Carlson.
- 13:00Speaker 3: Now, this is the woman that follows Whitney Webb like
- 13:03Speaker 3: I do.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, that was Denise, yeah. Yeah.
- 13:07Speaker 3: Now, Rich, the pharmacist, thinks that gas prices will decrease
- 13:13Speaker 3: substantially if Washington passes a law outlawing the exportation of oil. But, Ron,
- 13:21Speaker 3: then the drug cartels will bribe government officials to let
- 13:25Speaker 3: them steal oil and sell it at substantial profits on
- 13:30Speaker 3: the dark market. You know, in the War of 1812,
- 13:33Speaker 3: the majority of Americans opposed the conquest of Canada, which
- 13:39Speaker 3: was not a threat. And some Americans turned to smuggling food, clothing, guns,
- 13:45Speaker 3: and ammunition to the British Army, despite the fact that
- 13:48Speaker 3: it was a capital crime. And Rich thinks the problem
- 13:52Speaker 3: is that we don't have enough laws and bureaucratic regulations.
- 13:57Speaker 3: That's why we have high gas prices. And he thinks
- 14:01Speaker 3: free market capitalism is the problem. He doesn't think executives
- 14:07Speaker 3: at oil companies should decide how much oil should be
- 14:10Speaker 3: exported and how much should be refined for domestic demand.
- 14:15Speaker 3: He thinks people like Donald Trump and Chuck Schumer should
- 14:19Speaker 3: be making these decisions. And you know what, Rich? How
- 14:24Speaker 3: about this? How about making it illegal for for Americans
- 14:28Speaker 3: to travel or vacation overseas. Just think of all that
- 14:32Speaker 3: money that Americans would spend here at home. And, you know,
- 14:36Speaker 3: many drugs are illegal, but does that stop the flow
- 14:39Speaker 3: of drugs? Now, Rich, Iran's strategy, Ron, is to cripple
- 14:46Speaker 3: us economically, and it is working. High gas prices are
- 14:50Speaker 3: one piece of evidence, and rising unemployment is another. and
- 14:55Speaker 3: the national debt is now $ 40 trillion. You know, Ron,
- 15:03Speaker 3: your Chinese government bond is only paying 1.7%.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Hold on a second. Frank from Fort Lauderdale. And more
- 15:12Speaker 1: calls straight ahead.
- 15:13Speaker 3: 330-729-9977.
- 15:13Speaker 1: I'll be right back. 570-WKBN. All right, let me cut
- 15:20Speaker 1: to the chase with Fort Lauderdale. Frank, as I bring
- 15:22Speaker 1: up my CNBC ticker here, buddy.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Everything way up today, Ron.
- 15:27Speaker 1: Yeah, 869 to Dow. S & P' s up 80. NASDAQ's
- 15:31Speaker 1: up 250. The Russell's up 55. It says Dow rallies
- 15:36Speaker 1: 700 points. S & P 500 hits new high. A
- 15:39Speaker 1: strong alphabet. Caterpillar earnings overshadow probably the controversy in the
- 15:45Speaker 1: Middle East. So what do you make of that as
- 15:47Speaker 1: far as the earnings and the stocks going up today?
- 15:51Speaker 3: Well, I want to explain to Rich that investment markets
- 15:55Speaker 3: are forward-looking, not backwards-looking. When I do stock analysis, if
- 16:00Speaker 3: I see an historical P multiple, I ignore it. I
- 16:04Speaker 3: only use four P multiples. Now, Ron, the stock market
- 16:09Speaker 3: is highly overvalued. That's because all the inflation trumps money
- 16:14Speaker 3: creation spree goes into the stock market, the bond market,
- 16:18Speaker 3: and the money markets. If Trump stopped cranking up digital
- 16:23Speaker 3: money creation, the markets would be much lower and reflect
- 16:27Speaker 3: more reasonable valuations. And the feds..
- 16:31Speaker 1: Wait a minute. It says Google Cloud growth tops Microsoft
- 16:35Speaker 1: and Amazon as all three beat estimates on AI demand.
- 16:39Speaker 1: I mean, economically, I mean... I read some of this
- 16:43Speaker 1: kind of stuff and make no mistake about it, about it.
- 16:46Speaker 1: I mean, and I see the stock market going up,
- 16:48Speaker 1: but you can't have $ 5 a gallon gas and the
- 16:52Speaker 1: inflation that comes from it and the cost of everything
- 16:55Speaker 1: going up and tell everybody everything is great. I mean,
- 17:01Speaker 1: I mean, it just, it just doesn't, it doesn't add
- 17:04Speaker 1: up to me. I mean, I would be a hypocrite.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I was I was bitching during that going on during Biden,
- 17:10Speaker 1: but I'm supposed to ignore it during Trump because Trump
- 17:13Speaker 1: is the president. Well, I can't do that. I'm supposed
- 17:15Speaker 1: to say, OK, this is only temporary. Remember in Biden,
- 17:18Speaker 1: they said it was transitory. Now they're saying, well, this
- 17:22Speaker 1: is all temporary till we can get through this situation
- 17:25Speaker 1: in Iran. OK, define temporary to me. When do you
- 17:29Speaker 1: think that's going to be? Is that going to be
- 17:31Speaker 1: a week from now, a month from now, two months
- 17:34Speaker 1: from now? What is temporary? Because at $ 5 a gallon,
- 17:40Speaker 1: you are really hurting everyone who's listening out there. And
- 17:45Speaker 1: inflation will rear back. It'll be unbelievable what's going to
- 17:49Speaker 1: happen with inflation and with the economy. I mean, that's
- 17:55Speaker 1: my take, even as I look at an up market today.
- 17:57Speaker 1: I mean, I'm looking at a market that's good for
- 18:00Speaker 1: your 401k and all that kind of jazz. There's nothing
- 18:03Speaker 1: wrong with that. By the way, did you hear where
- 18:06Speaker 1: they say AI could take away 50% of the white-collar jobs, Frank?
- 18:10Speaker 1: Have you seen that? They say AI, within three years,
- 18:13Speaker 1: could take away 50% of white-collar jobs.
- 18:17Speaker 3: Yeah, you better send your kids to homeschool your kids
- 18:21Speaker 3: to learn how to do complicated math because only people
- 18:26Speaker 3: with high school levels will have jobs and everybody else won't.
- 18:30Speaker 3: like McDonald workers will be replaced by robots.
- 18:34Speaker 1: I think you better train them to be plumbers and
- 18:36Speaker 1: carpenters and drywall people, people that actually do something for
- 18:41Speaker 1: a living because they're not talking about blue-collar workers, although
- 18:43Speaker 1: I'm sure they'll be affected by automation. But can you
- 18:46Speaker 1: imagine 50% of white-collar workers in a short period of time,
- 18:50Speaker 1: I'm not talking far out there, losing their jobs with
- 18:53Speaker 1: AI at the same time that we're letting all these
- 18:56Speaker 1: people into our country? It makes zero sense to.
- 19:00Speaker 3: Me Plus HB1 visas, Ron.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Yeah, so we're letting exactly right.
- 19:06Speaker 3: See, he's talking about importing cheap labor.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, Frank's talking about these visas. We're letting all these
- 19:13Speaker 1: people in with these degrees out of India to cut
- 19:16Speaker 1: the throat of standby. I'm going to talk some more
- 19:19Speaker 1: to Frank here. Actually, we can make some interesting points
- 19:22Speaker 1: if you stay tuned. And cause this is an interesting topic.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I want you to hear it. We'll be right back
- 19:27Speaker 1: after news radio, five 70 WKV. Welcome boys and girls,
- 19:31Speaker 1: three 35 news radio, five 70 WKVN. You know, there's
- 19:36Speaker 1: a Fort Lauderdale, Frank fans and foes. I mean, either
- 19:39Speaker 1: love them or you hate them, but, but he's making
- 19:41Speaker 1: a legitimate point. So you have all of these visas
- 19:45Speaker 1: that they want to let into this country. The people
- 19:47Speaker 1: from india and stuff that are uh what do you
- 19:51Speaker 1: call them uh high highly educated highly skilled in the
- 19:54Speaker 1: computer industry and that kind of stuff they they bring
- 19:57Speaker 1: them in and then they lower the wages for the
- 20:02Speaker 1: americans that are schooled in that am i so far
- 20:05Speaker 1: so good frank they they lower the wages for the
- 20:08Speaker 1: americans that are skilled in that At a time when
- 20:13Speaker 1: we let all of these people, any people into our country,
- 20:18Speaker 1: I don't care if it's legal or illegal immigration, when
- 20:20Speaker 1: they're talking about AI eliminating 50% of white-collar jobs. So
- 20:26Speaker 1: you're going to ask yourself, what are we going to
- 20:28Speaker 1: do with all of these people? 50% of white-collar jobs.
- 20:32Speaker 2: Right.
- 20:34Speaker 1: Just mull that over for a second. The dramatic change
- 20:36Speaker 1: that they say is coming in a very short period
- 20:39Speaker 1: of time. We're talking from now to three years from now.
- 20:44Speaker 1: So it's going to be very quickly here. So these
- 20:47Speaker 1: people that are educated and highly skilled, many of them
- 20:50Speaker 1: are going to lose their jobs to AI because they
- 20:53Speaker 1: won't be necessary. So now, am I on target, Frank?
- 20:59Speaker 3: 100%, Ron. I read an article about... some of the
- 21:04Speaker 3: best certified financial planners in New York City that were
- 21:10Speaker 3: making an average of $ 2 million a year.
- 21:13Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:13Speaker 3: They got fired by certified financial planners from India willing
- 21:19Speaker 3: to work for $ 500, 000 a year. $ 500, 000, they'd probably be happy.
- 21:21Speaker 5: For $ 100, 000.
- 21:21Speaker 1: But there's also conversation on how AI is going to
- 21:24Speaker 1: change that whole industry as well from the... for financial
- 21:35Speaker 1: planners and stuff. AI is..
- 21:37Speaker 3: It's the wrong way to go on that, Ron. They've
- 21:40Speaker 3: already tried that, and it continues to fail and fail.
- 21:44Speaker 3: You need a human being to do financial planning. Maybe
- 21:48Speaker 3: that day will come someday, but that's far into the
- 21:51Speaker 3: future at this point. But, you know, I wanted to
- 21:56Speaker 3: quote you an article. Here's the problem the U.S. faces
- 22:00Speaker 3: trying to impose a blockade... If U.S. stops an Iranian
- 22:04Speaker 3: vessel and takes control of it, the U.S. Navy must
- 22:08Speaker 3: assign one ship to accompany it to the location the U.S. controls.
- 22:13Speaker 3: But the U.S. does not have enough Navy ships to
- 22:17Speaker 3: carry out such a mission on a broad scale. All
- 22:21Speaker 3: Iran needs to do is load up 20 tankers and
- 22:25Speaker 3: send them to sea simultaneously. The U.S. may be able
- 22:29Speaker 3: to stop two or three but the rest will penetrate
- 22:33Speaker 3: the blockade and arrive at their destinations.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Listen, just from my catbird seat, it seems to me
- 22:40Speaker 1: that things are going pretty well. I mean, as far
- 22:43Speaker 1: as taking out a lot of the military structures, it
- 22:48Speaker 1: seems to me the bombing campaign has gone really well,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and it seems to me the blockade has been going
- 22:55Speaker 1: really well. And it seems to me that Iran has
- 22:59Speaker 1: got some serious issues financially going on there. And, I mean,
- 23:05Speaker 1: so if you look at the mission, I mean, if
- 23:07Speaker 1: you objectively look at the mission, set all your Trump
- 23:10Speaker 1: hatred aside and all that kind of stuff, it's been
- 23:13Speaker 1: executed fairly well so far. I mean, it's– and the
- 23:18Speaker 1: people that are in the know are saying– It's just
- 23:21Speaker 1: a short, short matter of time that they're finished because
- 23:24Speaker 1: they cannot go on like this with this blockade. Now,
- 23:30Speaker 1: are they right? I hope they are. I hope it's successful.
- 23:35Speaker 1: And I hope things can be rectified. If they're wrong...
- 23:41Speaker 1: then we have to look at what damage it will
- 23:43Speaker 1: be to the American economy. I mean, I don't know
- 23:46Speaker 1: how else to describe it. I don't think things are
- 23:49Speaker 1: going bad. I think what they're executing has gone extremely well.
- 23:53Speaker 1: I'm hoping that these people that know way more than
- 23:56Speaker 1: I do are smart enough to say this is a strategy,
- 24:01Speaker 1: and it seems to be tightening the noose, I should say,
- 24:06Speaker 1: on them. So... Maybe, just maybe it'll work out.
- 24:12Speaker 3: Have been telling us, oh, the war's going to end
- 24:14Speaker 3: in a couple weeks. We're collapsing the Iranian economy. And
- 24:19Speaker 3: then two weeks later, all the Iranian economy's on verge
- 24:23Speaker 3: of collapse. You know that the Pakistanians, Pakistan has opened
- 24:31Speaker 3: six corridors with Iran to bypass the U.S. blockade. more
- 24:37Speaker 3: than three thousand containers bound for iran or be intransited
- 24:42Speaker 3: over land now ron i i i don't i'm not
- 24:45Speaker 3: a military expert but it doesn't sound to me that
- 24:49Speaker 3: this war might be over in the near future we
- 24:52Speaker 3: may be in a quagmire and i don't think washington
- 24:56Speaker 3: is telling us the truth i don't think anybody really
- 24:59Speaker 3: knows how long this war is going to continue that is.
- 25:02Speaker 1: Correct And here's the reality, Jimmy P., that says, Florida
- 25:09Speaker 1: boy is getting old. Can we please move on? See,
- 25:12Speaker 1: if people don't agree with you as a Trump cheerleader
- 25:14Speaker 1: all of a sudden, oh, he's got to go, he's
- 25:16Speaker 1: got to go. But instead of listening, because no one
- 25:19Speaker 1: can really– I got a lot of this yesterday. It's like, oh,
- 25:23Speaker 1: you can't– there's this contingent of people that if you
- 25:27Speaker 1: even bitch the littlest bit about anything Trump does, they
- 25:32Speaker 1: are like the Biden supporters. The Biden supporters had blinders on.
- 25:36Speaker 1: It didn't matter anything that Biden did, how the economy
- 25:39Speaker 1: was going, or anything. They supported Biden. Follow me? They
- 25:43Speaker 1: supported him 100%. And you have that same thing when
- 25:47Speaker 1: it comes to Trump. You have people with blinders on.
- 25:50Speaker 1: No matter what he does, I support him 100%. As
- 25:53Speaker 1: I've said a million times, I'm not going to sit
- 25:54Speaker 1: here as a cheerleader for any one of these people.
- 25:57Speaker 1: I hope he's right. I hope this comes to an end.
- 26:01Speaker 1: And I hope prices come down. Because what happened to
- 26:04Speaker 1: the America First agenda? What happened to the affordability crisis?
- 26:09Speaker 1: We have $ 5 a gallon gasoline. We have inflation coming
- 26:12Speaker 1: back at a rapid pace. And we have people that
- 26:15Speaker 1: are suffering as a result of it. You know, I
- 26:17Speaker 1: sit back here for all of the people who hate
- 26:19Speaker 1: to hear anything bad about Trump. We have our electric
- 26:22Speaker 1: prices have doubled. So people are paying more for their electricity.
- 26:26Speaker 1: People are paying more for their natural gas. People's property
- 26:29Speaker 1: taxes have gone up. Their gasoline is $ 5 a gallon.
- 26:33Speaker 1: Their food prices are going to go back up. How
- 26:37Speaker 1: long do you expect these people to say, this is
- 26:40Speaker 1: all okay. We're going to ride it out for the
- 26:43Speaker 1: short term. Because what is the short term? Is that
- 26:46Speaker 1: a month? Is that six months? And how many of
- 26:49Speaker 1: them can ride it out because you're smothering them economically?
- 26:55Speaker 1: So I say get back to the American first agenda,
- 26:58Speaker 1: get back to the affordability issue, and start doing that
- 27:03Speaker 1: as well, and we shall see. I hope that he's
- 27:06Speaker 1: done with this Iran thing tomorrow or a week from now,
- 27:10Speaker 1: and it all works out fine. But if this drags
- 27:12Speaker 1: on six months, that's– I mean, we shall see. I mean–
- 27:19Speaker 1: And you are correct. I mean, I remind everybody, Iran
- 27:22Speaker 1: did say that they can destroy our economy, too. And
- 27:26Speaker 1: you're 100 percent correct. And if you look at where
- 27:28Speaker 1: things are going, we're taking some hits as well. So
- 27:32Speaker 1: we shall see. All right, Frank. Appreciate it. They love him.
- 27:36Speaker 1: They hate him. But listen, I'm going to just tell
- 27:39Speaker 1: you straightforward. I voted for Trump three times and I'll
- 27:43Speaker 1: never be a cheerleader. There are things that he does
- 27:47Speaker 1: that if you don't agree with him, don't become blindsided
- 27:51Speaker 1: and say, it's only the Republican Party. I can't disagree
- 27:54Speaker 1: with anything. Everything he does is terrific. I said this
- 28:00Speaker 1: yesterday and I'll say it to you again. I did
- 28:02Speaker 1: not support how he treated Tucker Carlson, how he treated
- 28:06Speaker 1: Marjorie Taylor Greene. And I don't applaud that at all.
- 28:11Speaker 1: People that were there for him when he was trying
- 28:13Speaker 1: to get reelected, on stage, championing him, Marjorie Taylor Greene
- 28:17Speaker 1: all along, and simply because they disagreed with him on
- 28:20Speaker 1: Epstein and releasing those files, which was a legitimate complaint
- 28:26Speaker 1: that those people have, and many people have. It was
- 28:29Speaker 1: a gigantic— it was bizarre. When they were talking about the
- 28:33Speaker 1: Epstein situation, releasing the files, then all of a sudden it's, ah,
- 28:36Speaker 1: that again. That's old news. No, we're just talking about it.
- 28:41Speaker 1: You were talking about releasing all the files and all
- 28:42Speaker 1: the information, and all of a sudden everything changed with you, Donald.
- 28:48Speaker 1: So because that upsets Marjorie Taylor Greene or that upsets
- 28:52Speaker 1: Tucker Carlson, these people, because they say that's not right.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Or because those people also say they don't agree with
- 29:00Speaker 1: the situation in Iran, they weren't an imminent threat, and
- 29:03Speaker 1: they think that this was influenced by Israel and that
- 29:08Speaker 1: it wasn't in America's best interest. All of a sudden,
- 29:12Speaker 1: you attack those people? The people that helped you get elected,
- 29:16Speaker 1: all of a sudden you say they're low IQ, they're
- 29:18Speaker 1: like scum? Marjorie Taylor Greene, who You got on stage
- 29:25Speaker 1: with you when you first ran, was one of your
- 29:27Speaker 1: earliest supporters. And then when you ran every time and
- 29:30Speaker 1: all of a sudden she disagrees with you on Epstein.
- 29:33Speaker 1: And now you just insult her, call her a traitor
- 29:37Speaker 1: and all that kind of stuff. That's not a trait
- 29:38Speaker 1: I find admirable. it's okay in the United States of
- 29:43Speaker 1: America to say I like 80% or 90% of what
- 29:47Speaker 1: this guy's doing but this stuff bothers me and that's
- 29:51Speaker 1: what Tucker did that's what Marjorie Taylor Greene did and
- 29:56Speaker 1: then to attack him like he did I think that's
- 29:58Speaker 1: bizarre There's nothing about it I like. And I sit
- 30:08Speaker 1: there and say, what's going on here? Now, you got
- 30:16Speaker 1: the other camp that's a bunch of cheerleaders that just
- 30:23Speaker 1: are oblivious to everything and whatever it is, everything's okay,
- 30:26Speaker 1: whatever he does. And sometimes I don't think people really
- 30:31Speaker 1: understand what Fort Lauderdale Frank says at times, what he's
- 30:34Speaker 1: talking about with the visas that he's talking about, about
- 30:38Speaker 1: letting all these people into our country from India that
- 30:41Speaker 1: are highly skilled in these computer areas that cut the
- 30:45Speaker 1: throat of American kids that are schooled in it, bring
- 30:47Speaker 1: the wages down in it. But the argument now is
- 30:51Speaker 1: with AI taking this stuff over, What are all these
- 30:59Speaker 1: people going to do? Why are we letting anybody into
- 31:00Speaker 1: our country? We're going to have a serious problem with
- 31:05Speaker 1: jobs for people. And these people are saying this, aren't
- 31:09Speaker 1: talking 10 years from now, they're talking from now, the
- 31:13Speaker 1: next year and year after that, relatively quickly here. So
- 31:20Speaker 1: let's take a look at some of this stuff. Listen,
- 31:23Speaker 1: I want Trump to get back to the American first agenda.
- 31:29Speaker 1: Let's deal with affordability. Let's get prices down. Let's get
- 31:32Speaker 1: inflation down. Let's get the golden age going. I realize
- 31:41Speaker 1: you can't put a timeline on the end of this
- 31:43Speaker 1: situation in Iran. And once again, it seems everything's going
- 31:48Speaker 1: good and I hope that it can conclude quickly. But
- 31:53Speaker 1: it takes two to do that. And if Iran rides
- 31:55Speaker 1: it out and says, well, we're not doing any of
- 31:58Speaker 1: this or we're not going to go along with it.
- 32:01Speaker 1: And I don't know what, what the situation is there.
- 32:07Speaker 1: So we shall see. There's many people that don't feel
- 32:12Speaker 1: we should have got involved in this at all, that
- 32:15Speaker 1: it wasn't our best interest from the, from the very beginning.
- 32:17Speaker 1: So we shall see. I mean, I hope, but then again,
- 32:22Speaker 1: they all know more than we do because they're in,
- 32:24Speaker 1: they're on top of this stuff. You're on here. Good.
- 32:28Speaker 6: Good.
- 32:33Speaker 1: Go ahead. It's JJ, the liberal.
- 32:36Speaker 2: No, I just, I was just listening to your comments
- 32:38Speaker 2: there and, and, uh, I've never been a, uh, you know,
- 32:42Speaker 2: just likewise, I was never a, uh, a cheerleader for Biden.
- 32:46Speaker 2: You know, I thought the doors times that he had
- 32:48Speaker 2: made some, some positive moves, um, despite, you know, in
- 32:51Speaker 2: spite of what you, you know, other people say, but
- 32:54Speaker 2: it was also a lot of mistakes you made. And
- 32:56Speaker 2: if you, if you don't call anybody out, on something,
- 33:00Speaker 2: then that just shows two things. If somebody's always agreeing
- 33:04Speaker 2: with you, Ron, either they want something or they're just
- 33:10Speaker 2: kissing your rear end. That shows some character to be
- 33:16Speaker 2: able to say, no, I don't agree with you. Again,
- 33:20Speaker 2: that was one thing that I've seen a change in you. Again,
- 33:25Speaker 2: you were never a cheerleader, but I've noticed that and
- 33:27Speaker 2: you've You know, again, you're telling some of the people,
- 33:30Speaker 2: and I don't like these people calling. You know, they
- 33:32Speaker 2: always say about they don't like us calling in Frank
- 33:34Speaker 2: or me or Emmanuel.
- 33:36Speaker 1: That's America.
- 33:37Speaker 2: And jumping all over you. And you handled it quite,
- 33:40Speaker 2: you know, quite.
- 33:41Speaker 1: Listen, I don't mind at all. I just like to
- 33:43Speaker 1: put the parameters out there. It seems things are going well.
- 33:46Speaker 1: But the reality is you better get focused back on
- 33:50Speaker 1: what's going on in this country with our citizens. And
- 33:54Speaker 1: economics are a major factor going on right now with
- 33:57Speaker 1: every family in this country.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Yeah, and every time I went to get gas today, and,
- 34:05Speaker 2: you know, I had to take a loan out. So
- 34:08Speaker 2: I have to, I owe PNC a handful of money.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I have to make payments every month on that. Anyway,
- 34:13Speaker 2: people were just, you could just tell in their faces
- 34:15Speaker 2: as they were going in, and it was almost like
- 34:17Speaker 2: they were handing the money over to the cashier, and
- 34:19Speaker 2: they were, you know, holding on to it like a
- 34:21Speaker 2: death grip.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Oh, the thing is, think about this. Four gallons is
- 34:25Speaker 1: 20 bucks. Yep. Four gallons.
- 34:28Speaker 2: Four gallons isn't too, you know, I mean, I've got
- 34:30Speaker 2: a four-door that's, you know, it's 2008, but it's, you know,
- 34:35Speaker 2: that's 20 bucks. That four gallons isn't, you know, it
- 34:38Speaker 2: puts a couple little notches in the tank. That's about it.
- 34:40Speaker 2: So it's, again, I don't know. I can understand that
- 34:44Speaker 2: people are still supporting him.
- 34:46Speaker 1: Well, listen, all I'm trying to say is at five
- 34:48Speaker 1: bucks and diesel at six bucks a gallon, you don't
- 34:50Speaker 1: think that's going to raise your trash bill? You don't
- 34:53Speaker 1: think it costs a lot more for them to fill
- 34:55Speaker 1: up the garbage truck than that comes around your streets
- 34:59Speaker 1: once a week and picks up your trash? You think
- 35:00Speaker 1: they're just going to absorb that? They're either going to
- 35:06Speaker 1: put a fuel charge on or they're going to up
- 35:09Speaker 1: the price because that's just one of many things that
- 35:12Speaker 1: is going up. So the reality is you think it's
- 35:16Speaker 1: not going to affect your groceries getting delivered? The same
- 35:19Speaker 1: arguments I made against Biden with high energy prices from
- 35:22Speaker 1: the farmer needing diesel to the truck getting your food
- 35:25Speaker 1: to the store to the garbage truck to you driving around,
- 35:28Speaker 1: the same arguments apply today as they did then. It
- 35:32Speaker 1: is inflation driven. We're an oil based economy. And this
- 35:37Speaker 1: idea of, well, just hang on a little bit of time. Well,
- 35:39Speaker 1: what's a little bit of time?
- 35:42Speaker 2: Exactly. A little bit of time could be, it depends
- 35:44Speaker 2: on your perception of what a little bit of time is.
- 35:47Speaker 2: It could be an hour or two, or it could
- 35:49Speaker 2: be a month and a half. So again, that's kind
- 35:52Speaker 2: of a vague thing. And I don't want to..
- 35:55Speaker 1: And take a look at the airlines and what's happening
- 35:59Speaker 1: to them. They're canceling flights. You want to buy a ticket,
- 36:01Speaker 1: stand by. I'll come back to JJ the Liberal in
- 36:03Speaker 1: more of your calls. I mean, you've got to deal
- 36:05Speaker 1: with reality. NewsRadio 570 WKBN. I'll be right back.
- 36:08Speaker 2: 570 WKBN.
- 36:16Speaker 1: All righty. News Radio 570 to ODKBN 356. I think
- 36:20Speaker 1: you made your point, didn't you, buddy? Yeah.
- 36:22Speaker 2: I just want to make that just give me 15 seconds.
- 36:25Speaker 2: One thing I wanted to let you guys know is
- 36:27Speaker 2: that when anybody calls anybody a name like, you know,
- 36:31Speaker 2: he's a dictator or he's a fascist or whatever it
- 36:33Speaker 2: might be, that is not hate speech. Hate speech is
- 36:36Speaker 2: in reference to religion, race.
- 36:39Speaker 1: Well, but I don't agree with that. I mean, I'm
- 36:44Speaker 1: tired of the Hitlers and the fascists and all this
- 36:46Speaker 1: kind of stuff.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. It's not good speech. I understand that.
- 36:49Speaker 1: Right.
- 36:49Speaker 2: People got to understand that one guy called the other
- 36:51Speaker 2: day was saying that it's not.
- 36:54Speaker 1: All right.
- 36:54Speaker 2: But anyway, I appreciate again what you're doing.
- 36:56Speaker 1: And thanks.
- 36:57Speaker 2: All right.
- 36:57Speaker 1: Because it keeps all I'm saying is I keep hearing
- 37:01Speaker 1: every day. Iran wants to make a deal. Iran wants
- 37:03Speaker 1: to make a deal. Well, where is it? I mean,
- 37:07Speaker 1: I've been hearing this every day. Iran wants to make
- 37:10Speaker 1: a deal. Iran wants to make a deal. He's saying
- 37:13Speaker 1: it again today. Well, where is the deal, Lynn? You're
- 37:17Speaker 1: on the air.
- 37:18Speaker 6: Hi.
- 37:19Speaker 5: Poland Library. We are just sick about it. Oh, I
- 37:23Speaker 5: can't even express it. You would think they knew that
- 37:27Speaker 5: there was something wrong with the foundation. Wouldn't you bring
- 37:30Speaker 5: in the architect, the engineers, and try to make them
- 37:34Speaker 5: fix it right years ago? You know, I'm sorry, we're
- 37:37Speaker 5: all just sick about it.
- 37:39Speaker 1: Well, and you should be. You were totally ignored. It
- 37:41Speaker 1: didn't matter what the community thought or what your opinion was.
- 37:44Speaker 5: Exactly, exactly. I just, all I wanted to say is
- 37:49Speaker 5: I back you. I'm glad you brought the subject up.
- 37:51Speaker 5: Maybe somehow we could, you know how you have an
