Latest / Outspoken the Podcast / Tammy Hembrow and Bailey Smith Break the Internet
Transcript
- 0:03Speaker 1: Hello and welcome to Outspoken. It's your dose of the
- 0:06Speaker 1: hottest influencer and pop culture news twice a week. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 1: Amy Torber and coming up on today's show, Matt Sikowsky
- 0:14Speaker 1: claims he's been blindsided as Tammy Hembrough is spotted kissing
- 0:18Speaker 1: AFL star Bailey Smith and a renowned psychic calls out
- 0:22Speaker 1: Georgie Stevenson. But first, Freely the Banana Girl is back
- 0:26Speaker 1: and unlike we've seen her before. The infamous vegan YouTuber
- 0:30Speaker 1: who rose to internet fame in the 2010s has announced
- 0:33Speaker 1: she'll be creating more content for her almost 800,000 subscribers
- 0:37Speaker 1: thanks to the help of AI. When this dropped into
- 0:40Speaker 1: my YouTube feed, I felt really uneasy because it coincided
- 0:44Speaker 1: with our deep dive on Freely. Fortunately, the timing is
- 0:48Speaker 1: just a coincidence because Freely She actually posted the YouTube
- 0:51Speaker 1: video the day before we.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Dropped the first episode.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So I'm glad we're not behind her sudden interest in
- 0:56Speaker 1: posting more consistently on YouTube.
- 0:58Speaker 3: You thought you'd spurred her on almost?
- 1:00Speaker 1: Well, it's funny because after our Sharni Grim and Deep
- 1:03Speaker 1: dive last year, Sharni actually messaged us saying that we
- 1:05Speaker 1: inspired her to post again because it made her feel
- 1:08Speaker 1: really nostalgic and really loved. And that was very cool,
- 1:11Speaker 1: but I definitely don't want to be responsible for freely
- 1:14Speaker 1: returning more consistently to YouTube. Yeah, but I mean, she
- 1:17Speaker 1: really never took a break as such from social. So
- 1:20Speaker 1: since moving to the jungle eight years ago, she's been
- 1:22Speaker 1: sporadically posting on YouTube and Instagram. Yeah, so a couple
- 1:26Speaker 1: of videos here and there. But on the 30th of July,
- 1:29Speaker 1: she unveiled Virtual Freely, who she says will help her
- 1:33Speaker 1: create more content for YouTube.
- 1:35Speaker 2: Let's listen to what she said.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Hey, Frigavore.
- 1:39Speaker 4: Meet Virtual Freely, my digital clone. What you're looking at
- 1:42Speaker 4: right now is still me, just presented in a virtual way.
- 1:46Speaker 4: This video is filmed here in the jungle and the
- 1:48Speaker 4: voice you're hearing is my actual voice. So why am
- 1:51Speaker 4: I doing this? Because life on the fruit farm can
- 1:54Speaker 4: be full on and I want to bring you more
- 1:56Speaker 4: high quality videos and audio without constantly setting up cameras, lights,
- 2:00Speaker 4: mic and studio. And I will still make some real
- 2:04Speaker 4: videos but using this avatar means I can spend less
- 2:07Speaker 4: time on production and more time on what matters. Creating
- 2:10Speaker 4: videos that are sharper, better researched and packed with information
- 2:14Speaker 4: that can help change your life.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Now, Amy, I've just shown you the video about five
- 2:19Speaker 1: minutes ago in prep for this episode. Could you tell
- 2:22Speaker 1: it was AI? Well, to be honest, I had to
- 2:24Speaker 1: put my glasses on and it was only when I
- 2:26Speaker 1: put them on that I realised it was.
- 2:28Speaker 3: In fact AI. It looks pretty bloody good.
- 2:29Speaker 1: Yeah, well, it seems like some of her viewers haven't
- 2:31Speaker 1: even picked up on that it's virtual freely because She
- 2:34Speaker 1: put this video out explaining that she's going to be
- 2:37Speaker 1: using AI 12 days ago. She's now posted three videos
- 2:40Speaker 1: in that space of time, which is a lot for her.
- 2:43Speaker 3: I just want one of these AI bots to put
- 2:45Speaker 3: on my Zoom calls.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Yeah, I just thought how great it would be for
- 2:48Speaker 1: podcasting because everyone's putting their podcasts out as a video
- 2:51Speaker 1: and it's a real bitch to actually have to get
- 2:53Speaker 1: dressed up, turn lights on. I can see where Frilly's
- 2:55Speaker 1: coming from. The production does take a long time. What
- 2:58Speaker 1: has the reaction been from her followers?
- 3:00Speaker 2: Well, it's been mixed.
- 3:01Speaker 1: So someone wrote, wow, you're the first creator I've seen
- 3:04Speaker 1: do this. I have no opinion about AI and our future,
- 3:06Speaker 1: but this AI clone is very fascinating in itself, which.
- 3:09Speaker 2: I tend to agree with.
- 3:11Speaker 1: Someone else wrote, so sorry to see this from a
- 3:13Speaker 1: spiritual woman who is supporting transhumanism. Now freely replied to
- 3:17Speaker 1: that message saying, stop trying to make it something more
- 3:19Speaker 1: than it is. I'm not here auditioning for the role
- 3:22Speaker 1: of a guru. I'm here to get a message out.
- 3:24Speaker 1: If using a digital clone helps me post more often,
- 3:26Speaker 1: that's called being efficient, not transhumanist.
- 3:29Speaker 2: It's still me.
- 3:30Speaker 1: You're just seeing the message without me juggling cameras and
- 3:32Speaker 1: tripods in the jungle. I'm using the tools available to
- 3:35Speaker 1: share this message more consistently. Nothing more, nothing less. A
- 3:38Speaker 1: lot of people were also questioning Freely on the environmental
- 3:42Speaker 1: impact of AI, and she defended her actions in a
- 3:45Speaker 1: very lengthy comment. Essentially, she said that common tasks like
- 3:49Speaker 1: scrolling on social media or Watching Netflix, driving and wearing
- 3:52Speaker 1: makeup all use more energy than her AI video and
- 3:55Speaker 1: ultimately it'll save more than it spends. She then of
- 3:58Speaker 1: course turned the message back to push her vegan agenda saying,
- 4:01Speaker 1: so when someone eats cooked food or packet foods wants
- 4:04Speaker 1: to complain about the footprint of AI videos, that's like
- 4:07Speaker 1: a person driving a diesel truck yelling at a cyclist
- 4:09Speaker 1: for polluting.
- 4:10Speaker 3: I can see where people are.
- 4:11Speaker 1: Coming from because it's very mixed messaging and Freely's pushing
- 4:14Speaker 1: this very organic life that she's living off the earth,
- 4:17Speaker 1: but then next minute she's created some fake AI persona. Well,
- 4:21Speaker 1: there isn't a single vegan stance on AI at the moment.
- 4:24Speaker 1: I suppose a lot of discussion has been around the
- 4:27Speaker 1: environmental impact that doesn't really seem to align with Freely's.
- 4:30Speaker 2: Lifestyle, does it?
- 4:31Speaker 1: But even just from the sense of being authentic, it
- 4:33Speaker 1: doesn't seem very authentic to have an AI bot created
- 4:37Speaker 1: on you. Wouldn't it be better that she just went
- 4:40Speaker 1: back to basics with her filming and started using a
- 4:42Speaker 1: basic vlog camera rather than all the lighting and the tripods. Yeah,
- 4:46Speaker 1: and it didn't even seem like she actually voiced it.
- 4:48Speaker 1: She said, oh, you know, this is my real voice.
- 4:50Speaker 1: But I think she's just writing a script into whatever
- 4:53Speaker 1: program that she is using. Next, there's going to be
- 4:55Speaker 1: rumours that she's died. Like, do you remember those Avril
- 4:57Speaker 1: Lavigne rumours that there's a fake I was thinking about
- 5:00Speaker 1: that and the whole Britney Spears clone rumor as well.
- 5:02Speaker 1: I wonder what technology she's using and how much it
- 5:04Speaker 1: actually costs. If I was a fan of Freely, this
- 5:07Speaker 1: would totally put me off from watching her because I
- 5:10Speaker 1: want to see a real person. Yeah, but I think
- 5:12Speaker 1: the people that are still following Freely are the hardcore
- 5:15Speaker 1: vegans that are interested in the research that she is
- 5:17Speaker 1: doing into veganism. So it does make sense for her
- 5:21Speaker 1: to spend her time researching and putting her theories together
- 5:25Speaker 1: rather than looking pretty on the camera. Now, it's interesting
- 5:29Speaker 1: because Freely is the first human influencer I've seen implement this.
- 5:32Speaker 2: Type of AI strategy.
- 5:34Speaker 1: But AI is already really infiltrating the influencer world in
- 5:38Speaker 1: an unexpected way. I mean, last month, Amy, we spoke
- 5:40Speaker 1: on our subscription channel, Outspoken Plus, about influencer Mia Zulu.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So she has 167,000 followers and went viral last month
- 5:49Speaker 1: after posting photos at Wimbledon.
- 5:51Speaker 2: However, it was not all that it seemed. Many people
- 5:54Speaker 2: were shocked.
- 5:54Speaker 1: To discover that the very aesthetically pleasing photos of the
- 5:57Speaker 1: stunning woman were actually AI generated. Yeah, she popped up
- 6:00Speaker 1: on my Facebook feed and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 6:02Speaker 1: that woman is stunning. I was thinking the tennis players
- 6:05Speaker 1: must be all trying to date her because all shots
- 6:07Speaker 1: were at Wimbledon.
- 6:08Speaker 2: When I read the headline, I was like, oh my gosh,
- 6:09Speaker 2: she's not even real.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Well, it seems like she has actually tricked a few sportsmen.
- 6:14Speaker 1: There's a few famous cricketers that have been commenting on
- 6:17Speaker 1: her posts. If you go on Mia's Instagram account, in
- 6:20Speaker 1: the bio, it clearly states that she is an AI
- 6:22Speaker 1: influencer and.
- 6:23Speaker 2: A digital storyteller.
- 6:24Speaker 1: But really, when you're scrolling your feed and you see
- 6:27Speaker 1: a photo pop up, you're not really going to go
- 6:28Speaker 1: check to see if the woman's real or AI are you.
- 6:31Speaker 2: So a lot of people are getting tricked.
- 6:33Speaker 1: The crazy thing is that most of Mia's feed posts
- 6:36Speaker 1: are photos of herself. But she's actually started posting videos
- 6:40Speaker 1: as well that are just really freaky.
- 6:42Speaker 2: I haven't seen the videos yet. They're very realistic.
- 6:45Speaker 3: They would trick some people.
- 6:46Speaker 1: Well, she's also got a sister called Anna Zulu and
- 6:49Speaker 1: her virtual sister's Instagram account is actually more popular than
- 6:52Speaker 1: her own. It has 266,000 followers. She's a brunette. She's
- 6:56Speaker 1: also very stunning. The real person behind these accounts though
- 7:00Speaker 1: remains anonymous. Interestingly, they provide an email address for collaboration.
- 7:04Speaker 1: So I don't know if they're actually branded collaborations or
- 7:07Speaker 1: collaborations for the AI technology that they're using.
- 7:10Speaker 3: What's the bet? It's some guy behind it.
- 7:12Speaker 2: Oh, definitely.
- 7:13Speaker 1: The person that is behind this could not look any
- 7:16Speaker 1: more dissimilar to Mia Zulu, I bet.
- 7:18Speaker 3: This is the bullshit thing.
- 7:19Speaker 1: We've got these men now stealing away female influencers' earning capacity,
- 7:25Speaker 1: like creating these fake people. I mean, this just says
- 7:27Speaker 1: a lot about where our society is at. The fact
- 7:30Speaker 1: that people have mistaken Mia Zulu just proves– how much
- 7:34Speaker 1: our eyes are conditioned to see these very hyper polished
- 7:37Speaker 1: people on social media, all the filters. We can't actually
- 7:40Speaker 1: determine whether the person is real or not. And this
- 7:43Speaker 1: new existence of AI influencers is sparking a lot of
- 7:46Speaker 1: conversations about authenticity, emotional influence, and how we interact with
- 7:51Speaker 1: digital personas online. And it shows that we very much
- 7:54Speaker 1: need clear labeling for AI generated content because people don't
- 7:57Speaker 1: know the difference.
- 8:00Speaker 2: I'm your mom and.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Before you were conceived, I was absolutely sure that you
- 8:07Speaker 1: were a boy.
- 8:08Speaker 4: And then we conceived, and since I've been pregnant, I
- 8:12Speaker 4: think it's a girl.
- 8:15Speaker 1: Before we get into the next topic, we want to
- 8:17Speaker 1: issue a trigger warning as we do talk about traumatic births.
- 8:21Speaker 1: A renowned psychic has called out Georgie Stevenson, claiming the
- 8:24Speaker 1: wellness entrepreneur hasn't delivered on a contra deal. Psychic Fontini
- 8:29Speaker 1: performed a fertility cleansing on Georgie right before her successful
- 8:32Speaker 1: embryo transfer late last year. Followers were shocked by the
- 8:36Speaker 1: timing of the call-out, with Georgie only just giving birth
- 8:39Speaker 1: to her daughter Lacey a month ago after a traumatic birth.
- 8:43Speaker 1: Lacey was born six weeks early via an emergency C-section
- 8:47Speaker 1: after Georgie's placenta hemorrhaged. Now, before we get into it, Kate,
- 8:50Speaker 1: who is Psychic Fontini? Well, she's made a name for
- 8:53Speaker 1: herself as being a bit of a psychic to the influencers,
- 8:56Speaker 1: so she has over 60,000 Instagram followers. and has worked
- 9:00Speaker 1: with countless Australian influencers. In fact, the work she does
- 9:03Speaker 1: with influencers is a big part of her marketing strategy.
- 9:07Speaker 1: So she promotes her success stories with influencers across her
- 9:10Speaker 1: Instagram feed and also in her Instagram highlights. Her clients
- 9:14Speaker 1: have included Bec Judd, Martha Califatidis, Kira Rumble, Kayla and
- 9:19Speaker 1: Leah Acenas, Sharon Orville, Ellie Gonzalez's, Brooke Blurton and Olivia Mesquite,
- 9:24Speaker 1: just to name a few. Is there anyone she hasn't
- 9:27Speaker 1: dealt with in the Australian influencer world?
- 9:28Speaker 2: I couldn't believe all of them.
- 9:30Speaker 1: So back in 2020, both Bec Judd and Martha Kalafatidis
- 9:34Speaker 1: shared that Fontini had cleansed their homes.
- 9:36Speaker 2: Of negative energy.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Oh gosh, I'll be hearing from Tammy Hembrough next.
- 9:39Speaker 1: I know. Well, Martha revealed that she would no longer
- 9:41Speaker 1: be filming a planned house tour because Fontini.
- 9:44Speaker 2: Told her that it was bad luck to let people's eyes.
- 9:46Speaker 1: And energy into her home. And more recently, Fontini has
- 9:50Speaker 1: made a name for herself as the Instagram queen of
- 9:52Speaker 1: pregnancy cleansers and predictions. So in 2024, she announced that
- 9:56Speaker 1: she helped Wiggle star Katerina Metti fall pregnant with twins.
- 10:00Speaker 1: So the 43-year-old Wiggle had a fertility cleansing with Fontini
- 10:04Speaker 1: before undergoing a successful embryo transfer. This is just reminding
- 10:08Speaker 1: me of my wedding celebrant who said that she had,
- 10:11Speaker 1: I think it was a 70% success rate with her
- 10:13Speaker 1: couples having twins. Yeah, well, you didn't have them, so
- 10:16Speaker 1: you've kind of lowered her stats there.
- 10:19Speaker 3: No, I know.
- 10:19Speaker 1: Well, it seems like Fontini's marketing clearly works because her
- 10:23Speaker 1: psychic card readings are booked up until January, 2027. She
- 10:27Speaker 1: currently though has cleansing spots available. I think the fertility
- 10:31Speaker 1: cleansers are a lot less time consuming for Fontini because
- 10:35Speaker 1: basically all the communication is done via SMS. So you
- 10:38Speaker 1: text her and say, hey, I want a fertility cleansing.
- 10:41Speaker 1: And she writes your name down on a piece of
- 10:43Speaker 1: paper and the date. And then she gets this thing
- 10:46Speaker 1: that kind of looks like.
- 10:47Speaker 2: A genie lamp.
- 10:48Speaker 1: That you can light up and she burns that. I mean,
- 10:51Speaker 1: I'm sure there's a lot more to it.
- 10:53Speaker 3: It sounds like she needs her own AI bot like freely.
- 10:55Speaker 2: What to handle all the SMSes.
- 10:57Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I don't know.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Just send a little video of her doing it at least.
- 11:00Speaker 2: That would take a lot out of the experience, I think.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:03Speaker 1: Now, last week, Fontini shared a screenshot of a private
- 11:06Speaker 1: message thread between her and Georgie. So on the 4th
- 11:09Speaker 1: of September, Georgie messaged Fontini saying she wanted to book
- 11:12Speaker 1: in a reading. There was no response from Fontini, but
- 11:15Speaker 1: a follow-up message from Georgie on the 22nd of October.
- 11:19Speaker 1: asking if her clearings were done. Now, Fontini replied saying
- 11:22Speaker 1: she would call Georgie. Now, Fontini went on to share
- 11:25Speaker 1: a follow-up conversation between her and Georgie, but the dates
- 11:28Speaker 1: weren't visible. In those messages, the pair discussed whether the
- 11:31Speaker 1: exchange would be contra or paid. And Georgie wrote, I'm
- 11:35Speaker 1: happy with either. What feels best for you? I would
- 11:37Speaker 1: happily post and even love to have you on my
- 11:39Speaker 1: podcast if you're interested.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Dream guest on my podcast?
- 11:43Speaker 1: Now, Georgie added that she would also like a womb
- 11:45Speaker 1: clearing if possible. Fontini then went on to share proof
- 11:49Speaker 1: of her doing the cleansing. So in the photos, there's
- 11:52Speaker 1: a piece of notepaper with Georgie's name and the date,
- 11:55Speaker 1: which read the 18th of October, along with that genie
- 11:57Speaker 1: lamp I was talking about.
- 11:59Speaker 3: I'm sure it's got a much more professional name. Yeah.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Fontini then went on to share screenshots from Georgie's Instagram
- 12:05Speaker 1: stories that she had posted that day. One of the
- 12:08Speaker 1: photos was of Georgie crying, holding her newborn with the caption,
- 12:11Speaker 1: not me crying, thinking how insanely blessed I am with
- 12:14Speaker 1: this little cherub.
- 12:15Speaker 2: And another was just.
- 12:16Speaker 1: A photo of Georgie's daughter stretching out on her changing
- 12:18Speaker 1: table with Georgie providing an update about her weight. Now,
- 12:22Speaker 1: Fontini captioned this carousel of posts, Hi, let me teach
- 12:25Speaker 1: you something about taking your power back, especially with the
- 12:28Speaker 1: Lionsgate malarkey. It's one thing to help and get the result.
- 12:31Speaker 1: And it's one thing to say you will do something
- 12:33Speaker 1: when you don't. My final words on this fertility cleansing
- 12:36Speaker 1: that I did is don't mess with this lion, especially
- 12:39Speaker 1: a Greek one. She then wrote in Greek kisses from
- 12:42Speaker 1: the homeland. It's interesting because Martha Kalafatidis liked the post.
- 12:46Speaker 1: And when you look at the comments, there was a
- 12:48Speaker 1: lot of support for Fontini, but there were messages in
- 12:51Speaker 1: our Facebook group about this saying that they were writing
- 12:54Speaker 1: supportive messages for Georgie, which were getting deleted. I actually
- 12:57Speaker 1: saw a few of them removed as well. When I
- 12:59Speaker 1: first saw this, I thought, is this woman actually for real?
- 13:02Speaker 1: Georgie Stevenson has just gone through an extremely traumatic birth.
- 13:07Speaker 1: She only just recently got her daughter home from hospital.
- 13:11Speaker 1: And we're posting this shit basically because you're having a
- 13:14Speaker 1: hissy fit that you haven't been endorsed as this natural cleanser. Obviously,
- 13:18Speaker 1: she wanted to get some publicity around the fact that
- 13:21Speaker 1: Georgie had fallen pregnant after her fertility struggles. Yeah, I
- 13:23Speaker 1: was pretty shocked by the timing of this call out,
- 13:26Speaker 1: particularly because Georgie has been very open about the fact
- 13:30Speaker 1: that she's had a tough journey to conceive her second child.
- 13:33Speaker 1: So after announcing her pregnancy news, she shared this very
- 13:37Speaker 1: raw YouTube video, which was a compilation of video updates
- 13:40Speaker 1: from her last 12 months of trying to conceive.
- 13:43Speaker 2: And during those.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Video updates, Georgie spoke about the shock when she was
- 13:47Speaker 1: told by a doctor after her first round of IVF,
- 13:50Speaker 1: just before they were about to transfer the embryos, that
- 13:53Speaker 1: due to human error, all the embryos had died. This
- 13:57Speaker 1: was just so difficult to watch. Yeah, so she's been
- 13:59Speaker 1: through a really rough time conceiving. I mean, Fontini has
- 14:02Speaker 1: already been using Georgie for promotion across her own page.
- 14:06Speaker 1: So she's posted grid posts claiming that Georgie's pregnancy is
- 14:10Speaker 1: down to her. She also posted photos from her baby announcement,
- 14:14Speaker 1: her gender reveal, and also Georgie's baby shower. And I mean,
- 14:17Speaker 1: if the whole big deal is that Georgie hasn't had
- 14:19Speaker 1: her on a podcast yet, give the woman a break.
- 14:21Speaker 1: She's literally just given birth to a premature baby and
- 14:24Speaker 1: been at the hospital all day, all night. Well, here's
- 14:27Speaker 1: one way not to get on her podcast. Yeah.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I was also.
- 14:30Speaker 1: Surprised considering that Fontini has so many influencer clients that
- 14:34Speaker 1: she would want to call someone out like this, because
- 14:36Speaker 1: if I was an influencer, I'd be like, oh, I
- 14:38Speaker 1: don't know if I'd want to do a deal with her. Bailey, mate,
- 14:42Speaker 1: how does it feel being a thirst trap for every
- 14:44Speaker 1: young woman in Australia?
- 14:46Speaker 3: Next question.
- 14:47Speaker 1: Tammy Hembrough has been spotted kissing AFL star Bailey Smith
- 14:52Speaker 1: seven weeks after announcing her divorce from Matt Sikowski. The
- 14:56Speaker 1: new couple were papped leaving a restaurant on the Gold
- 14:58Speaker 1: Coast together on Saturday night. It's also been reported they
- 15:01Speaker 1: were seen out together a week earlier, holding hands.
- 15:04Speaker 3: And kissing for hours.
- 15:06Speaker 1: Now, influencer watchdog account Influencer Updates AU was first to
- 15:10Speaker 1: break the news of the potential coupling over the weekend.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They shared screenshots from anonymous sources revealing they'd spotted the
- 15:17Speaker 1: couple out and mainstream media.
- 15:19Speaker 2: Jumped on board this story on Monday.
- 15:21Speaker 1: So the combination of an AFL star and Australia's biggest
- 15:25Speaker 1: influencer means this jostling of mainstream media and.
- 15:28Speaker 3: Gossip sites trying to get the scoop.
- 15:30Speaker 1: So we saw the Daily Mail run pap shots while
- 15:33Speaker 1: the Herald Sun managed to get a quote from Matt Sikowsky. Now,
- 15:37Speaker 1: Matt Sikowsky claims he was blindsided by the news. He
- 15:40Speaker 1: told the Herald Sun,' We only broke up eight weeks ago.
- 15:43Speaker 1: I just don't understand how someone can move on so quickly.
- 15:46Speaker 1: It's been 48 days and I'm still trying to work
- 15:49Speaker 1: out how I feel as a person after committing in
- 15:51Speaker 1: marriage to someone. I'm trying to focus on myself and heal.'
- 15:55Speaker 1: It's pretty ironic that Matt spoke to media about this
- 15:57Speaker 1: because just last week on his podcast, he did an
- 16:00Speaker 1: episode about the 30 things he's learned since turning 30.
- 16:04Speaker 1: And one of the lessons he made a really big
- 16:06Speaker 1: point about was that there is power in staying silent.
- 16:10Speaker 1: It's also pretty ironic that Matt's saying that Tammy is
- 16:13Speaker 1: the one that's moved on quickly because he was spotted
- 16:15Speaker 1: out drinking with sports journalist Taylor Little a day before
- 16:19Speaker 1: Tammy announced the divorce. I mean, Not to mention, he
- 16:21Speaker 1: was also caught out texting a woman while they were
- 16:24Speaker 1: still together.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 16:25Speaker 1: And also that he's claiming they've only been broken up
- 16:27Speaker 1: for 48 days. I mean, they've been living in different
- 16:29Speaker 1: states for months now. So it's clear that this breakup
- 16:32Speaker 1: happened a long time before the announcement. And I think
- 16:35Speaker 1: he's really trying to center himself as the victim in
- 16:38Speaker 1: this whole thing. And giving quotes to the media, it's like,
- 16:41Speaker 1: are you just trying to get more and more attention
- 16:43Speaker 1: from this and ride on her coattails? The whole thing
- 16:45Speaker 1: is you could read it two different ways. You could go, oh, wow,
- 16:47Speaker 1: that's really rough of Tammy to move on so quickly
- 16:49Speaker 1: after this marriage? Or you could go, is she moving
- 16:52Speaker 1: on so quickly because she was fucked over by Matt?
- 16:54Speaker 1: I think it's a very bold statement from Tammy. And
- 16:57Speaker 1: it is off the back of a series of very
- 16:59Speaker 1: calculated moves from her because Last week we were discussing
- 17:03Speaker 1: how she baited her followers with a Rhys Hawkins reunion
- 17:06Speaker 1: and now she's been papped on a date with Australia's
- 17:08Speaker 1: most eligible bachelor.
- 17:09Speaker 3: It's just honestly the story that keeps giving and giving.
- 17:11Speaker 1: It is. I mean, funnily enough, Bailey Smith is Tinder's
- 17:13Speaker 1: latest ambassador. I wonder how they're feeling about this match because,
- 17:17Speaker 1: let's face it, they did not meet on Tinder. Potentially, Raya,
- 17:19Speaker 1: but I'm thinking it's another sneaky DM slide. Well, Tinder
- 17:22Speaker 1: got Bailey Smith on board because he is a big
- 17:25Speaker 1: Gen Z heartthrob. I wonder if this means that they're
- 17:27Speaker 1: all now going to turn on Tammy because everyone's going
- 17:29Speaker 1: to be jealous. I mean, I think there'll be a
- 17:31Speaker 1: level of jealousy, but then there's also a lot of
- 17:33Speaker 1: people going, oh, I get it.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Like, I get why you've moved on so quickly. Like
- 17:37Speaker 2: he's hot.
- 17:38Speaker 1: It's funny.
- 17:38Speaker 2: So many people are saying they look like brother and sister.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I can't unsee it now.
- 17:42Speaker 2: They look very similar.
- 17:43Speaker 1: People are also discussing the age gap. So Bailey is
- 17:46Speaker 1: 24 and Tammy is 31. I personally see nothing wrong
- 17:50Speaker 1: with this. I mean, it's clearly a rebound and what
- 17:53Speaker 1: a hot rebound. Yeah, but everyone thought Matt Sikowsky was
- 17:55Speaker 1: a rebound as well.
- 17:56Speaker 2: So I think people don't really care about the age.
- 17:59Speaker 1: I think it's more the fact that Tammy has three
- 18:01Speaker 1: kids and seems to be moving on quite quickly because
- 18:03Speaker 1: she does fall in love very quickly as we saw
- 18:07Speaker 1: with Matt Sikowsky. But from what I know about Bailey Smith,
- 18:11Speaker 1: I'm surprised we haven't thought about this pairing before because
- 18:13Speaker 1: they actually seem quite well connected.
- 18:16Speaker 3: Oh, Amy, come on.
- 18:17Speaker 1: This latest publicity stunt just proves to me that Tummy
- 18:20Speaker 1: is out for revenge on Matt Sikorski.
- 18:21Speaker 3: She's not over Matt.
- 18:22Speaker 1: She wants to hit him where it hurts, particularly because
- 18:25Speaker 1: Matt is a Melbourne boy and he's a big AFL fan.
- 18:28Speaker 1: He's actually the one that introduced Tummy to AFL. So
- 18:30Speaker 1: when they were together, they went to a lot of
- 18:32Speaker 1: the Gold Coast Suns games. And what makes this all
- 18:35Speaker 1: even juicier is the fact that Matt posted at Friday
- 18:38Speaker 1: night's games So Bailey Smith's team Geelong took on Matt's
- 18:42Speaker 1: favourite team Essendon. And to add insult to injury, Geelong
- 18:47Speaker 1: whipped Essendon Matt posted a photo of him in his
- 18:50Speaker 1: Essendon gear at the game and wrote, Essendon lost, but
- 18:52Speaker 1: I'm still smiling because happiness is a choice, not a destination.
- 18:57Speaker 2: Kind of reminds me.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Of when Andy Lee and Megan Gale were dating about
- 19:01Speaker 1: 10 years ago and his favorite team were Carlton. And
- 19:03Speaker 1: then she ended up dating one of Carlton's really good
- 19:05Speaker 1: looking players. It's a great power move. It's pretty funny
- 19:08Speaker 1: because media were waiting at the airport for Bailey Smith
- 19:11Speaker 1: to return from the Gold Coast. And he flew back
- 19:13Speaker 1: home on Sunday and a pap did their job. They
- 19:16Speaker 1: managed to really annoy Bailey Smith. Let's throw to that
- 19:19Speaker 1: exchange at the airport.
- 19:22Speaker 3: So what's the story with you and Tammy Hembrough?
- 19:25Speaker 2: Can you tell us?
- 19:26Speaker 3: It's Hembrough, not Hembrough.
- 19:28Speaker 1: Hembrough?
- 19:29Speaker 4: Hembrough?
- 19:29Speaker 1: Hembrough?
- 19:30Speaker 4: You guys an item or what? An item or what?
- 19:41Speaker 1: We saw you over the weekend kissing and canoodling at
- 19:44Speaker 1: a restaurant on the Gold Coast and then leaving arm
- 19:47Speaker 1: in arm.
- 19:48Speaker 4: Hand in hand. What can you tell us? You're a
- 19:52Speaker 4: grown man.
- 19:53Speaker 2: There's nothing you want to tell us?
- 19:57Speaker 1: Nothing you want to.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Tell us, Bailey?
- 20:02Speaker 1: You guys serious? Or is this a long-term thing?
- 20:04Speaker 3: What do you think? You can tell us.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I wish you guys all the best, eh?
- 20:12Speaker 1: I actually love that this was Bailey Smith's response because
- 20:15Speaker 1: I can't stand when people say Hembrough either. Yeah, and
- 20:18Speaker 1: at least he knows how to say Tammy's name properly.
- 20:20Speaker 1: It reminds me of when Bailey gave the finger to
- 20:23Speaker 1: some Crows supporters during Gather Round and all the journos
- 20:26Speaker 1: were chasing him around trying to get comment about that. Well,
- 20:29Speaker 1: he gave the bird to the paparazzi on the date
- 20:31Speaker 1: with Tammy Hembrough as well, so it seems to be
- 20:33Speaker 1: his signature move. He's known in the media for being
- 20:36Speaker 1: very open because normally all of the footballers are very
- 20:39Speaker 1: media trained, but he has been giving all these really
- 20:42Speaker 1: great funny one-liners he's actually been praised for bringing a
- 20:45Speaker 1: bit of personality back to the sport well he gave
- 20:47Speaker 1: a lot of personality to that pap on sunday calling
- 20:49Speaker 1: him an effing c think about all these poor gen
- 20:51Speaker 1: z's though that have signed up to tinder with the
- 20:54Speaker 1: hope of actually just having him come across their feed
- 20:57Speaker 1: and now this tinder probably in crisis talks at the
- 20:59Speaker 1: moment like for fuck's sake and ray is probably like
- 21:01Speaker 1: oh maybe we should poach him if i was tinder
- 21:03Speaker 1: i'd just be pushing the narrative that that's where they
- 21:05Speaker 1: met that tammy hembro is also on tinder i.
- 21:08Speaker 2: Well, that is where we're going to leave things today.
- 21:10Speaker 1: I'm very excited because on Friday, we're back with our
- 21:13Speaker 1: regular episode.
- 21:14Speaker 2: And I think there's probably going to be a lot
- 21:15Speaker 2: to talk about.
- 21:16Speaker 3: Yeah, well, Tammy Hembrough keeps delivering.
- 21:18Speaker 1: And if you want to hear more from us, we
- 21:19Speaker 1: also release a subs episode every week. And it's only $ 4. 99.
- 21:23Speaker 1: A month to sign up. You sound like such a salesperson.
- 21:26Speaker 1: So that episode is basically an extension of our regular shows.
- 21:29Speaker 1: We just talk more about influences on there. Well, thank
- 21:32Speaker 1: you again for listening. And if you do enjoy the show,
- 21:34Speaker 1: we would love it if you could leave us a
- 21:35Speaker 1: five-star review. This podcast was recorded on the traditional land
- 21:39Speaker 1: of the Kaurna people of the Adelaide Plains.
- 21:41Speaker 2: We pay respect to elders past and present.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Thank you.
