Transcript
- 0:06Hello, What's your least favorite scary movie?
- 0:10I'm pretty sure we take a right welcome to watch The Least
- 0:13favorite Scary Movie, The podcast where we talk about the
- 0:16good, the bad, the ugly and the absurd, and all of our favorite
- 0:19scary movies. Because we believe every horror
- 0:21movie rightfully has its fan base.
- 0:23Even if we don't always get it. My name is Travis.
- 0:25My name is Jesse. And welcome back, everybody.
- 0:29We have another special episode for you guys and.
- 0:34Holler. Hooton Holler.
- 0:35Where? Hooton back into the Holler.
- 0:37Those Ding country roads keep taking us back home to West
- 0:41Virginia. And Hicksploitation.
- 0:43And exploitation. We're talking about wrong turn 4
- 0:46today, everybody. Yeah, we like to talk about
- 0:50this, the series on the show and I don't know if everybody else
- 0:55is into it, but God damn it, we love it.
- 0:57Absolutely. We love us some exploitation.
- 0:59We love us some wrong turn. So we're going to keep trucking
- 1:02through this series. Truck, truck, trucking truck,
- 1:05truck. All right, announcements.
- 1:07Do we have any announcements for this week?
- 1:10No. OK, I have an announcement.
- 1:13I forgot to do the poll. All right.
- 1:16Wrong Turn 4. This movie went straight to DVD.
- 1:21Straight to DVD? Nope.
- 1:25It released October 25th, 2011. We watched it on our digital
- 1:31copy. We actually don't know this on
- 1:32DVD, but you can buy the five pack if you want to watch it.
- 1:38Or you can just rent it from one of the following options Apple,
- 1:42Amazon, YouTube or Voodoo. This movie was written by Declan
- 1:47O'Brien. It was also directed by Declan
- 1:51O'Brien and we found out last night while watching this movie.
- 1:55He passed away two years ago, almost to the day.
- 2:00It was actually February 16th, 2022.
- 2:02We watched it February 16th. Yeah, so we ended up actually
- 2:06watching this on the anniversary of him passing, which is
- 2:10unfortunate. He had some good contributions
- 2:13to horror here. He had the wrong turn entries.
- 2:16He did Joyride 3. I can't think of anything else
- 2:20though. Those are the ones that get the
- 2:22most play in our house anyway. Yeah, right.
- 2:25Because we like both of those series.
- 2:26They're both good. Yeah.
- 2:28All right. Music was done by Quad Voici and
- 2:31special effects was done by Dilated Pixels and Cameron
- 2:35Patterson. OK, yeah, downloaded pixels did
- 2:38the special effects like the visual computer effects, if that
- 2:42makes sense with the pixel part. OK, and Cameron Patterson did
- 2:46the actual practical stuff. OK.
- 2:48Yeah. OK.
- 2:49So that's how that breakdown goes.
- 2:51OK cast Starring Victor Zinc Junior as Kyle.
- 2:55Allie Tataran as Warren, Dean Armstrong as Daniel.
- 3:00Tara Unisa No Tara, Vanessa. It's spelled VNESAI.
- 3:06Think Vanessa is how you might pronounce that could be wrong.
- 3:09She plays Jenna Caleb Lieb as Bridget, Tanika Davis as Sarah,
- 3:15Ginny Padovic as Kenya, Sean Skeen as Vincent and Three
- 3:19Finger Dan Skeen Bubby of Sean Skeen as One Eye.
- 3:24So Vincent got two roles. Oh, and I guess we know who the
- 3:29golden brother is in that situation.
- 3:32Yeah. OK.
- 3:34And Scott Johnson is Sawtooth. OK.
- 3:37All right. And these are the older versions
- 3:40of their characters, correct? Yeah, I didn't credit the kid
- 3:43versions because we did have three of them that are 9, eight
- 3:48and ten. I think.
- 3:49Yeah, that's their age in the opening of the movie.
- 3:51But I ran off room. There's a lot of people.
- 3:53This is a big cast as it is. Yeah, and you don't get some of
- 3:57their names until the very end. Exactly.
- 3:59It's hard to keep up with some of them all right, Jesse, time
- 4:02to play our favorite game. Budget.
- 4:04Or button. Definitely Bug Ted.
- 4:11Yeah, so this movie is in fact Bug Ted.
- 4:14This movie had a budget of $2,000,000.
- 4:17Wow. Yep.
- 4:19Did not go to the box office, so we don't have an opening box
- 4:22office, but I do have the worldwide gross for what it made
- 4:26on Blu-ray cells and DVD sales. Digital media sales.
- 4:30Well, yeah, I guess that yeah that was 3.6 million, but it was
- 4:36noted that it also released as cable rentals and on streaming.
- 4:41So that part of the profit is not in the equation.
- 4:45So it did make more than that. Overall IMDb score is 4.5 out of
- 4:5110. You know, it's better than I
- 4:54thought I was gonna get, so. You thought it was gonna be
- 4:56lower than 4.5? Not for me, but.
- 5:00But for other people, yeah. See, I feel like people
- 5:02generally look at this one and they're like, yeah.
- 5:06It's not, it's. Not that bad.
- 5:10You know I think everybody recognizes like wow it did a lot
- 5:13better than it should have and you would think that that would
- 5:16like that would inflate the rating, right.
- 5:20You don't think people would be shitting on this thing?
- 5:22I. Don't know.
- 5:22Some people in IMDb take their role as like a user reviewer
- 5:26really seriously. It's like a yeah, they actually,
- 5:28they think it's like auditions that become an actual movie
- 5:31critic trying to be the next Fuck Roger Ebert.
- 5:35There you go. Yeah, yeah.
- 5:36OK. Notoriously hated horror so.
- 5:39Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. He's got a lot of interesting
- 5:43interactions with directors out there.
- 5:45OK so I have a theme for three movies I put picked for 2011.
- 5:50OK. I don't remember much about
- 5:512011, so I am curious to hear what theme you have.
- 5:55Well, these are all going to be mostly forgettable, except for I
- 5:59think, one you're going to be a fan of.
- 6:00OK, the theme for this is direct to DVD sequels.
- 6:05OK, I do actually really enjoy that theme.
- 6:08First movie Hellraiser Revelations.
- 6:12OK, I've never seen that one. Oh boy.
- 6:15I think that this might be one of the most hated in the entire
- 6:19franchise. So they made this movie purely
- 6:24for the sole reason to retain the rights of the franchise.
- 6:29So it was shout out there real quick, OK, it had a budget of
- 6:33$300,000. It was released October 18th,
- 6:372011. Don't have the gross on it.
- 6:39No money. Reported IMDb score 2.7 out of
- 6:4410. I have a quote from Clive
- 6:48Barker. It's actually a tweet from him.
- 6:50It's on the Wikipedia page. They just took a screenshot of
- 6:53this tweet and it's like, this is what Clive thought of this
- 6:55fucking. Shit, boy.
- 6:56Clive Barker has to say I have nothing to do with this fucking
- 7:00thing. If they claim it's from the mind
- 7:02of Clive Barker, it's a lie. It's not even from my butthole.
- 7:10I'm going to start using that, not.
- 7:12Even from my. Butthole.
- 7:15I love how he's just so pissed off that they continue to make
- 7:18Hellraiser movies. That's like straight up hatred
- 7:23right there. OK, next movie.
- 7:26Hostel Part three. Yeah, you were speaking all
- 7:30kinds of good about this movie last.
- 7:32Week. I loved that movie.
- 7:33Yeah. Well.
- 7:34I am aware that's not a popular opinion.
- 7:37OK. I just OK, I just, I will say it
- 7:41is the highest rated movie out of all of these movies that we
- 7:46are talking about here, including wrong Turn. 40, right?
- 7:52OK, Hostel Part 3 release December. 11.6.
- 7:56It is actually it is 4.6 point one higher than wrong turn four.
- 8:02OK Hostel Part 3 Release. Hostel Hostel Part 3 Release
- 8:06December 11th, 2011. Christmas gift to us all, truly.
- 8:10Yeah, truly. Everybody wanted that one for
- 8:13Christmas. All the children love it.
- 8:15I asked my mom and dad for it. I was like, mommy, daddy.
- 8:17I was in college. Give me hostel Part 3.
- 8:21I'm pretty sure I watched this over Christmas break that year.
- 8:25So did you? Pretty sure.
- 8:27Really. Did you actually watch this back
- 8:29then? Yeah, I thought we watched this
- 8:30for the first time together. No.
- 8:32Really. Wow.
- 8:33So you've just been like a die hard hostile Part 3?
- 8:36From the beginning. Wow, that's impressive.
- 8:39I don't, I wouldn't admit. Ride or die?
- 8:42All right. Had a surprising budget of $6
- 8:45million. Good.
- 8:46For them. They saw the potential.
- 8:49They did. Worldwide.
- 8:50Gross. Don't have it straight to DVD.
- 8:54DVD Yeah, but I didn't even get the like the physical media
- 8:56cells of it. And that's discussed IMDb
- 8:594.6000. So it is the highest
- 9:02technically. This is coming on the show.
- 9:05Y'all it will be happening, don't worry.
- 9:08We're going to have to talk about this one final movie
- 9:10direct to DVD sequel from 2011 is it's one we own, actually.
- 9:16OK, we've never watched. It is it, I guess.
- 9:19Is it one of the puppet masters? Yeah, it is not.
- 9:22Oh, OK. You want.
- 9:25I'll give you one more guess if you want to guess.
- 9:28We hit. It is a it's a killer.
- 9:36Something that we that shouldn't be killing.
- 9:38Something like it's not your typical it's not our person now.
- 9:43Once was a person, but now it is something else.
- 9:49It's a person of some sorts. Oh, is it one of the ginger
- 9:54dead? Man Sequels Is This Ginger Dead
- 9:56Man 3 Ginger Dead Man Three Saturday Night Cleaver.
- 10:00Nice. Yeah, nice.
- 10:02I hope there is so much disco action in that.
- 10:07We got to watch it, man. We do own this one.
- 10:09I I just don't think we've ever actually watched.
- 10:11It isn't that, like with all of our puppet mastery DVD, like,
- 10:14don't that we had like a 16 pack of all of.
- 10:17The We've got all the puppet masters.
- 10:19We got all the Puppet Masters on DVD.
- 10:21This is part of like our weird weird like Blu-ray pack.
- 10:24It has Killjoy 3 on it also. OK.
- 10:28Yeah, it's got a bunch of weird movies, apparently.
- 10:30All full moon I guess, but that released September 13th.
- 10:35Don't have the budget, don't have the gross, but the IMDb
- 10:38score is 3.7 out of 10. OK, all right.
- 10:43Got 3 taglines. OK.
- 10:46No tagline on the poster. So we're just kind of going with
- 10:50the order that IMDb, IMDb, yeah. I don't know movie database.
- 10:54Yeah, yeah. All right, first one.
- 10:57These hillbillies are going crazy.
- 10:59Crazy. That's so lazy, man, these
- 11:03hillbillies are going crazy. It's also kind of like not super
- 11:07sensitive. But granted, none of this movie
- 11:10really was, so it's. About hillbillies.
- 11:12About. About crazy I.
- 11:15Hate that term. I know, I know.
- 11:17You hate it. Yeah.
- 11:19OK, well let's move on to the next one.
- 11:21I kind of like this one. Screaming only makes them
- 11:24hungry. Sorry, all I can think of is Zoe
- 11:30because she screams when she's hungry.
- 11:32She kind of does feed off of the screaming.
- 11:34Maybe he's always a cannibal. Just makes you.
- 11:38You're getting tired. You're working up your hunger by
- 11:40doing that. The final one's actually my
- 11:43favorite, and it's because it's like a fucking mess.
- 11:46I don't think that this is like. I think somebody attempted to
- 11:48type it correctly, but they're wrong.
- 11:50OK. Frost are not the only thing
- 11:53bites. Oh, I think that was When you're
- 11:57trying to translate something, frost is not the only thing that
- 12:00bites. I like that.
- 12:01I get that that is good, yeah. But I also like reading it as
- 12:04frost are not the only thing bites.
- 12:07Well Liz, so I know I'm party pingo, they have a paranormal
- 12:11occur, but there's something we watched last weekend that they
- 12:13had another similar type thing. Yeah, yeah.
- 12:17But I don't think that that's like a translation thing.
- 12:19I think it's just people doing typos, which I think.
- 12:21I think that's what happened here with this one.
- 12:23I think somebody just wrote it wrong.
- 12:25They got too fast, They got excited.
- 12:27Maybe they just pitched their own tagline there and then, like
- 12:29we do maybe fun facts. All right, so this movie was
- 12:35shot in 19 days and an actual abandoned mental facility.
- 12:40Oh, creepy. Yeah, it was Brandon Mental
- 12:42health facility in Manitoba, Canada.
- 12:45All the actors are actual Canadian actors.
- 12:48Yeah, well, they're Canadian. Slipped some at certain points.
- 12:51I didn't ever catch it. Especially the little one,
- 12:54Jenna, I think her name is. OK.
- 12:57Yeah. Yeah, those came out a couple of
- 12:58times. So it was abandoned back in
- 13:001999. It opened in like 1890, OK.
- 13:04And inside of it, it included all of the original equipment,
- 13:10250,000 square feet, 4 fours, original shock machines and all.
- 13:16Holy cow. Yeah, like they fucking just
- 13:19straight up and left that place. They did not pack any of it up.
- 13:22That stuff was just out there. That's scary to think about What
- 13:25happened? Yeah, well, apparently it was
- 13:28just like that building. I was reading some of the
- 13:32history on it. It seemed to have like a really
- 13:34troubled history, like a. Lot of those types of places do
- 13:38have like, a trouble history. It completely burned down at one
- 13:41point. And they had to, like, rebuild
- 13:42it. Yeah.
- 13:44So I I don't really know what caused him to abandon it in the
- 13:4790s. But yeah, and it was scary for
- 13:50them there. I was reading an interview with
- 13:52Deccan O'Brien, and he was telling a story of how he got
- 13:55creeped out walking through the hallways there because they all
- 14:00stayed there while they were shooting it.
- 14:02And apparently he had, like, each four, he had like a room
- 14:06set up where he would just work on the movie, you know,
- 14:09throughout the night. And apparently, like, he would,
- 14:11like, have his director headphones on.
- 14:14And he was walking down the hallway by himself with a
- 14:16flashlight. He still had his headphones on.
- 14:18And then he heard somebody like, whisper, I guess through like
- 14:23one of the mics downstairs. He's like, where is he?
- 14:25Is he here? And like, he apparently he
- 14:28jumped up and just like, threw his headphones off.
- 14:30And yeah, like, apparently like it was just as creepy as it
- 14:34looked in the actual movie to be there.
- 14:37I guess that's why it looked so authentic.
- 14:39It's. And that's one of those things
- 14:40too. And I was thinking about this
- 14:41when we were watching video violence last week.
- 14:45That like a home that's cluttered for a movie versus a
- 14:49home that's like actually lived in cluttered is very different.
- 14:53It's hard to replicate. That you?
- 14:55Can't accumulate it. Yeah, and that did look
- 14:58authentic for like an abandoned hospital.
- 15:00See, I think that that's one of the things about this movie that
- 15:03makes it kind of stand out like as surprisingly good as it is
- 15:08because it had that right there. It had an awesome setting right
- 15:13from the get go and. If they're in Canada, that snow
- 15:16was probably real, too. It was real, yeah.
- 15:18They mentioned that. Yeah.
- 15:20OK, so this is actually the 1st century in this series where
- 15:24nobody survives other than the hillbillies.
- 15:27Oh shit. Isn't that weird?
- 15:30And then I tried to think about it.
- 15:31I was like, does it happen in the later ones and five?
- 15:35Everybody kind of dies. One person is like.
- 15:39It's pretty clear what's gonna happen.
- 15:40She's gonna die. Yeah, she's gonna die
- 15:42eventually. Six.
- 15:44I can't even fucking remember. I think no one guy stays there
- 15:48to become a part of them. Yeah, that's how 6 ends.
- 15:52God forbid. With, you know, the incest in
- 15:57the films has always been openly talked about, but never seen one
- 16:01of the few instances in movies where Tell don't Show is a
- 16:05little bit. Better where we actually.
- 16:07Yeah, you wouldn't. But in six, no, they're they're
- 16:11like, hey, this is his sister and he's gonna fuck his sister.
- 16:16Yep, that's pretty. Much, yeah.
- 16:19They they did Halloween 6 but like, didn't show that part.
- 16:24They showed the part that Halloween sex and show.
- 16:27You know what I mean? Yeah, OK.
- 16:30I also wanna know how Michael knew about sex.
- 16:33That's more upsetting to me than the driving anyway.
- 16:37I don't even wanna go into the details of how that might have
- 16:40happened. I don't wanna think about that.
- 16:43Skills and special effects on here were mostly practical.
- 16:46OK, yeah, they had some touch ups.
- 16:48Like, you know, you could see fake blood.
- 16:50Like I could see CGI blood. Pretty well.
- 16:52And like we had a lot of beheadings and those heads were
- 16:56definitely like, those are practical heads.
- 16:58They were practical heads with like you could see whenever like
- 17:01that girl gets decapitated with the noose, the barbed wire noose
- 17:05that like they use a lot of digital effects to kind of
- 17:08pretty it up, which I think it kind of hurts in my personal
- 17:12opinion, just like go full practical.
- 17:14It always looks better that computer graphics stuff doesn't
- 17:18normally age too well. And this already seems dated
- 17:22like over 10 years later. All right.
- 17:24And the final thing is in that scene where he had her get
- 17:30decapitated by the barbed wire news, he describes that scene as
- 17:35carry times 10 because of the amount of blood that they had to
- 17:38use in that scene. Apparently with Kyle that I
- 17:42guess that was the guy that like, is trying to pour down and
- 17:45gets all that blood on her. They were trying to figure out
- 17:47how to, like, keep like, how much blood to put on him to keep
- 17:51it with like, continuity whenever they're doing multiple
- 17:55shots. And he just sold him pour an
- 17:56entire bucket of blood all over him, just like, keep doing it,
- 18:00soak him in it that way. It's easy to do.
- 18:02So in that shot, he's just completely covered in red the
- 18:04entire time. OK, So yeah, those are my fun
- 18:07facts. OK.
- 18:09Are you ready to talk about? It I'm ready to talk about it.
- 18:11All right, well, it's your turn to kick it off.
- 18:13Jesse, what did you like about Wrong Turn 4?
- 18:16As far as prequels go, which I mean, of course they had to.
- 18:19We had to figure something out. We obviously weren't gonna be
- 18:22picking up where we left off unless we wanted to leave Three
- 18:25Finger, one eye on Sawtooth in the past 'cause they all died at
- 18:30the end of three. Actually, they all died in one.
- 18:36Two is a new family. Three is just three finger in.
- 18:39Yeah, yeah, 3. Toe and then three finger.
- 18:41Toe. Yeah, three fingers, actually.
- 18:43Alive in three, yeah. Yeah, yeah.
- 18:44OK. Yeah.
- 18:46So anyway, obviously if we were gonna have the the original
- 18:49bubbies back together, we're gonna have to go back in time.
- 18:51Yeah. And so I thought that that's a,
- 18:54you know, a way to do it. Like, it kinda helps you, like
- 18:59avoid having to worry about, like continuity issues depending
- 19:01on how far back you decide to go.
- 19:04And I thought, I like really having like the single location
- 19:09setting, obviously, I really love that we have groups of
- 19:13horny teens and we have plenty of lesbian representation and I
- 19:17think that's interesting. It's definitely borderlines
- 19:21fetishy at times. They're just very.
- 19:26But it's an exploitation film, yeah.
- 19:28So I kind of go back and forth with it, cuz I'm like, well,
- 19:30they're college students and they're all second and fucking
- 19:33if you will. And so I like that the lesbians
- 19:36got to do that too. And then I also, I felt like
- 19:40there were some interesting nods to other movies here.
- 19:43It was funny when you mentioned Carrie for that beheading scene
- 19:47because we get that shot of Kyle afterwards where he's covered in
- 19:50blood and something about his face just being pure red, the
- 19:54way his hair is all stringy and that, like wide eyed.
- 20:00Yeah, Mania. Of what's happening to him in
- 20:02that moment is reads very Ash Williams.
- 20:05You see? Oh yeah, it does.
- 20:07Yeah, you're right. Yeah.
- 20:08Yeah. Wow, That's, like, almost
- 20:09exactly like that shot. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:12And it's like if you go to the IMDb page, it's like one of
- 20:14those that's like at the top in the header.
- 20:16So if you haven't, if you aren't able to recall the image I'm
- 20:19talking about, definitely go check that out on IMDb, because
- 20:22it's that's. Probably the best shot in the
- 20:23entire movie. Honestly, I love that so much.
- 20:26Yeah, so I don't know, I just and I also just, I have a lot of
- 20:30fun with it. It's it knows not to take itself
- 20:33too seriously. I think this is the lane that
- 20:35Declan O'Brien O'Connor lives in.
- 20:38Very well. Declan O'Brien?
- 20:41No, that's his joyride. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 20:45I think this is the lane that he lives in.
- 20:46Very well, well, but he looked in.
- 20:50Yeah, he he did a great. Job.
- 20:51Yeah. And you know, like I said, there
- 20:54are so many characters and you don't learn all of their names,
- 20:57but that's these movies are meant to just kill people off
- 21:00and being nasty and yeah, over the top.
- 21:03And you just need a bunch of horny teens and young adults to
- 21:07do that with. So that's that's what you get
- 21:10with this movie. OK.
- 21:12I I like all the things that you said there too.
- 21:16I'll, I appreciate. I appreciate his attempt at like
- 21:18keeping it going fresh like you know, prequel, it's not exactly
- 21:22the most original idea, but he mentioned in one of his
- 21:25interviews that he was trying to like every single one of them
- 21:28has been different. They've all been in a different
- 21:30setting. They've all been around
- 21:32different characters, So like having them in a snowy
- 21:36environment and like a giant, like abandoned hospital is
- 21:40actually really interesting. Yeah.
- 21:44Although they are going back to the original 3, but I think that
- 21:47that's cool because I feel like we didn't really get a lot of
- 21:49time to explore the other two. We've had plenty of time to
- 21:53explore Three Finger and this because he's the most popular.
- 21:56Obviously, yeah, But I liked, you know, getting to see the
- 21:59other two. And I guess it's interesting
- 22:03that they're like introducing their unique abilities in this
- 22:06one, 'cause we don't really, no, no, no, no, really had unique
- 22:09abilities before, but this time like, they like actually, like
- 22:12listed off. It's almost like we're watching
- 22:13like a like a superhero movie where like we're like going to
- 22:17be following the villains like Suicide Squad, like well.
- 22:19It's kind of like at the beginning of Funhouse massacre
- 22:21when he's going through all of the different people in the
- 22:24jail. Thought a lot about.
- 22:26I know that's That's not even a jail either.
- 22:28That's also a. Yeah, it really is.
- 22:33Yeah, it's almost the exact same opening except and this one they
- 22:38bust out themselves. Another thing I really liked
- 22:42about this one is I feel like they stepped up the camera work
- 22:45a lot and this one they had like a lot of fun with it, which I
- 22:50think it's kind of cool. I guess it's because like the
- 22:52environment that they were into, but like I think a lot of that
- 22:56one shot where he we already talked about where he like pulls
- 23:00her down. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 23:02Like, her head's right here and then the camera like all in one
- 23:05take flips all the way over and then you see his face and he
- 23:09just screams. And then I think of the opening
- 23:12when all of the patients escaped and they're all just kind of
- 23:16like running around the hospital doing their own thing.
- 23:19I like the way that the camera moves around and follows the
- 23:22different people, especially that shot with one of them
- 23:26taking the girl in the wheelchair and Willinger into
- 23:29the room and just like banging it up against something.
- 23:32It's really well done. I liked it a lot.
- 23:35But yeah, other than what you said, like, you know, those are
- 23:37the things I really liked about this one.
- 23:39I really like it, honestly. I guess it's a pretty solid
- 23:42entry and I feel like people overlook this one sometimes
- 23:47because, you know, everybody's like 02/2's the best sequel and
- 23:51then they kind of write off the rest.
- 23:52But like, I don't know. Like we'll get 4-4's pretty
- 23:55solid, honestly. If I am being honest, in my
- 23:57heart of hearts, this is my favorite of the franchise.
- 24:01This is my favorite sequel of the franchise.
- 24:04I kinda thought you would go with #2 for your favorite.
- 24:06That's what everybody has. 421 for me.
- 24:10Wow. Yeah, mine is.
- 24:11Three. I always forget what it's
- 24:13actually about. I like 5.
- 24:17Has Doug Bradley 6:00. I could have done without ever
- 24:21seeing 6. Is terrible.
- 24:22Five is awful. 5 is pretty bad, but like, it's a it's an
- 24:26enjoyable watch, bad Doug Bradley trying to do a country
- 24:30accent and then his British like sucks out all the fucking time.
- 24:36It's one of the darkest endings too.
- 24:39It's so fucked up it. Really is.
- 24:41It's a fucked up movie. It's the The thing that really
- 24:45pisses me off about that one is you can tell it's too low a
- 24:47budget for the premise they set up for themselves.
- 24:49Because we could have had so much fun with the festival
- 24:52setting. I know, but it's that it's it's
- 24:55all in a jail cell. It's it's a ploy to get an
- 24:58entire town out of the town. That way you can have a town
- 25:01built on a stage set. Yeah, and.
- 25:04And it's not weird, like you don't have to hire all the
- 25:07extras. Yeah, exactly.
- 25:08These people can run hooting and hollering down the streets and
- 25:11nobody's going to bad night. Yeah, yeah, OK, What are the bad
- 25:15things about this movie? OK.
- 25:17So the opening takes place in 1974 and then 19434 1974.
- 25:26And then we cut ahead 29 years to 2003 because that's when the
- 25:29first movie takes place. So that that time jump makes
- 25:32sense. That's 29 years.
- 25:34Which means that three Finger was the the child three finger
- 25:41is credited as being 8 years old and IMDb.
- 25:44So that means that at this point he is 37 years old.
- 25:49You cannot tell me that 57 year old like a man is 37 years old.
- 25:53They all look way too old for what their actual age is, and I
- 25:56wish they had just like, let them be older.
- 25:59Just let them be older. In the flashback or set the
- 26:02flashback farther. Yeah, I guess I don't really
- 26:04understand why they had to be kids.
- 26:07Yeah, like also their facial hair is very their.
- 26:10Their body hair in general is very inconsistent because the
- 26:12oldest one Sawtooth. He's got an appropriate mountain
- 26:17men beard, but three finger is bald on top, which happens to 37
- 26:23year olds. I'm not saying that that can't
- 26:25happen, but I am saying he's got plenty of other hair sprouting
- 26:29out the sides. It's all white, yeah.
- 26:31But Steve Martin? He was white in his early 30s,
- 26:34That's true. He still has a very full head of
- 26:36hair though. Hey, man, you can't.
- 26:38Sometimes you lose. You know.
- 26:40You lose your hair and you have. Wife, I'm just saying he's got
- 26:42no facial hair whatsoever. So that implies that.
- 26:45Yeah. I was going to say that implies
- 26:47that either he can't grow facial hair, he can only grow like head
- 26:52hair, but not over his entire head, or he shaves, I don't
- 26:55know. There's a lot of questions I
- 26:57have. And this, like this is the whole
- 26:59like the Friday 13th part two thing where I'm like did he why
- 27:03does he have a broken toilet in his house that he built out in
- 27:05the woods? He only can grow a facial hair,
- 27:08but he wants actual hair, so he shaves off his facial hair and
- 27:12puts that on his head. I just this it's all and then
- 27:16cuz so then that means he's making the choice to have the
- 27:20Three Stooges curly look. Well, he saw Three Stooges back
- 27:24at the sanitarium and he's like, I want to be that man.
- 27:27So yeah, anyway, that's bad, mostly because I have to start
- 27:32doing math in my head and then I start wondering about things,
- 27:34and it leads me to wondering about other things.
- 27:36And I guess it's not really necessarily a fault of the
- 27:40movie. It's just I think maybe math
- 27:41wasn't done when they wrote back how far the the flashback scene
- 27:46was and how young the kids was meant to.
- 27:49Because also, I wouldn't have thought that they were 8-9 and
- 27:5110 at first. I was like, OK, well, maybe like
- 27:5515/16/17 like in my head 'cause I did refer to them as kids and
- 27:58I was like, OK, maybe, you know, that's a little bit more reason
- 28:00anyway. But they're the only children
- 28:02there, too. Everybody else is adults.
- 28:05Yeah, which is also not how those types of facilities tend
- 28:07to work. So anyway, that's that's what
- 28:11was happening in in my head, yeah.
- 28:15And it distracted from the movie.
- 28:16So that's the entire. Time, you're thinking.
- 28:19About I really was 'cause I like when we see Three Finger.
- 28:23And I was like, well, he looks as old as he ever has.
- 28:25And I'm not saying that like 50 something is old.
- 28:30I'm just saying it's a lot older than 37, which is what the movie
- 28:34is now canonically saying he was right.
- 28:38And also here's the other thing that means they are at least
- 28:41trimming their hair some. So how are they doing that?
- 28:44I want to see like a Day in the Life, you know, like MTV Crib
- 28:48style of them in this prequel setting.
- 28:52That would be no, I'm thinking like that, right?
- 28:55There would be a groundbreaking documentary that would be played
- 28:59at the festivals, right? Be a hit.
- 29:02Yes. Following the hillbillies from
- 29:04West Virginia and watching them eat people.
- 29:07Yeah, I just like. I want to see.
- 29:09I want to see it. I want to see how they're like
- 29:12because clearly they are doing some form of grooming, you know
- 29:16what I mean? Dream sequel.
- 29:18That yeah, no, that's my dream sequel is I want, I want MTV
- 29:22Cribs. I wanted to be like a
- 29:25monumentary, like a fountain. Like a Leslie Vernon type thing.
- 29:27Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 29:28I wanted to be something like that, where they actually are
- 29:31interviewing the hillbillies and they can't.
- 29:33No, I don't even care. Like, I we've seen enough of
- 29:36their cannibalism. I get how that works.
- 29:38We've seen their their traps that they set up.
- 29:40We know about truck, truck, like, we've got all of that.
- 29:44I, I dude, I just want to know, like the minutiae of their daily
- 29:48life. You just reminded me of
- 29:50something just the same. Like, I know how cannibalism.
- 29:54No, I know how cannibalism works because I forgot from one of my
- 29:59fun facts. Apparently they, like, released
- 30:01with us as a promotional material, like a cannibal
- 30:05cookbook. Oh yeah, I guess mostly because
- 30:08of that scene where they're doing like, the fondue.
- 30:11Fondunial. Fondunial, as Jesse calls it.
- 30:16And that was my other thing that I thought, like, feels like a
- 30:18weird kind of a wink and a nod because they're cannibals and
- 30:22they kill Daniel by pulling out his liver.
- 30:25And I'm like, you can't tell me that's not a handful.
- 30:28Lecter. Like a wink and a nod.
- 30:29I didn't. Even think about.
- 30:31It I wish that like in the background we'd seen like an
- 30:34industrial sized can of like fava beans or something.
- 30:37You. Know that would be great.
- 30:38Yeah, Apparently that was like his, one of his favorite parts
- 30:42of the movie. He thought it was hilarious,
- 30:43actually, like to him, He thought it was funny because
- 30:46they're making fondue out of him and people are outside taking a
- 30:50vote of whether or not to save. Yeah, like he's not dead yet.
- 30:54Yeah. And they're like, he's a donner.
- 30:56And he's like, no, I'm, I'm still.
- 30:58I'm still alive. And apparently that's how
- 31:00Daniel's actor see what was his name?
- 31:03Daniel, Where are you? Dean Armstrong?
- 31:06That's how he got his part as they needed a good screamer.
- 31:08He was a good screamer. I referred to him as my in my
- 31:11notes as Beck Ben Knott. Beck Ben.
- 31:13Not He is not Beck Ben. OK, more bad.
- 31:18I thought that three fingers looked pretty fucking terrible
- 31:24makeup applied wise. You know what I mean?
- 31:26Well, it's oh God, what is the original actor's name?
- 31:30He's in a lot of stuff. Yeah, I know what you're talking
- 31:33about. Yeah, he's the guy in urban
- 31:34legend. Yeah, fuck, I can't remember
- 31:36his. Name, and he's also in a quick
- 31:38throwaway scene in the software. Oh dude.
- 31:41And not Ben. Not that Dean Armstrong here.
- 31:47He's gonna be in next week's movie.
- 31:49He's in Saw 3D. He is in Saw three.
- 31:54DI know. I had no idea either.
- 31:55Is he one of the ones in the front in the beginning with the
- 31:58seesaw? No, I don't think so.
- 32:03He might. Be I think he could look good in
- 32:04a little wooden Dutch Boy cover all.
- 32:08I think set up fantastic in that, but The thing is I think
- 32:13that that point of that is that it was supposed to be high
- 32:15scores and I was reading an interview from him and
- 32:18apparently he is like older. Oh, his age is just as
- 32:22questionable as three fingers in this movie.
- 32:24Well, he even admitted it. He was like, yeah, like I I.
- 32:27I said, who is this chaperone coming with him on their weekend
- 32:31ski trip? He got into acting a little bit
- 32:33late. I'm not mad at him for that.
- 32:35It is just the unfortunate reality that with a lot of
- 32:37horror movies they went like. They couldn't.
- 32:40Look, man, it takes age and experience to get a scream.
- 32:44Somebody that is being turned into fondue.
- 32:46That is believable, yeah. OK, we need to get back on
- 32:49track. What is your dad?
- 32:51Well, three fingers looks like shit.
- 32:53It looks like he was wearing a mask half the time.
- 32:55I think that I think him and. Well, no, I I looked a little
- 32:58bit out of him. No, I I I saw some of the behind
- 33:02the scenes footage and it looked like it was actually stuff that
- 33:04was applied. I just think that having him
- 33:08play one of the kids there too, like one of the students, kind
- 33:13of spread them a little bit too thin of having to get him in
- 33:16costume for that and then also three finger.
- 33:18That makes sense. Yeah, the other two looked fine.
- 33:21I thought. The only other bad thing I have
- 33:23for this is that we don't have any arrows, and this is the only
- 33:27movie in the entire franchise apparently that has no arrows.
- 33:30Even the remake has arrows. It has no Hooten and Holler and
- 33:33which I think is more egregious, but.
- 33:35Yeah, if I if you're going to remove one, remove the arrows.
- 33:38I'm more OK with that. Hooten Holler is just part of
- 33:40the DNA of the series. Yeah, but yeah, I wanted at
- 33:44least some arrow action. Like, you know, when they're out
- 33:46there on the snowmobiles chasing.
- 33:48Travis is from Appalachia. He can confirm that Hooton and
- 33:52hollering is a part of the culture.
- 33:53It's just kind of how we do. It's kind of how we speak.
- 33:57OK, ugly. What is ugly about this movie?
- 33:59Oh, definitely. The way they talk about people
- 34:02that need mental health facilities.
- 34:05Yeah. There's a lot of like,
- 34:07derogatory language thrown around, which I understand once
- 34:10they start murdering their friends, 'cause you just start
- 34:12insulting people at that point. That's fair.
- 34:15It's more like when they're like reading through the files and
- 34:17they're like you a freak, freak, freak.
- 34:20And I just, I don't. Sometimes people are sick and
- 34:26sometimes you're sick in your head instead of in your body.
- 34:28And I don't like it that it's it's such a thing that our
- 34:34society really needs to it. It feels like it's getting
- 34:37better in some ways, but we still have a long way to go in
- 34:42terms of like being open minded about like mental health and
- 34:49yeah. It is kind of nice though,
- 34:51thinking like this was as recent as 2011 and 2011 is becoming
- 34:55further and further away like it's been 13 years ago, which is
- 34:58really. Fucking weird.
- 34:59Yeah, this movie has just entered puberty.
- 35:01Yeah, this movie is spending 45 minutes in the shower.
- 35:06His voice is starting to crack a little bit, just a tad.
- 35:11But I think the progress from how people handle it compared to
- 35:15this movie to now is pretty solid, honestly.
- 35:18For a decade. Yeah.
- 35:20Yeah, I guess I got to agree with you.
- 35:22I can't really think of anything else.
- 35:24I mean, we've talked plenty about, like the exploitation of
- 35:26it all in the past three movies, so I don't feel like we really
- 35:29need to talk about it in this one so much.
- 35:30It's not as egregious in this one, I don't think.
- 35:32Like, sometimes I like how it's kind of, like, understood by
- 35:37everybody. Like, how are they so powerful?
- 35:40How are they so strong? Well, they were.
- 35:42They're inbreds and they're hillbillies.
- 35:44Oh, OK Yeah. Oh, yeah.
- 35:46That makes sense in the West Virginia.
- 35:48Yeah, yeah, West Virginia. Yeah, yeah.
- 35:53No, it's definitely one of those that, like, they've just kind of
- 35:55leaned really hard into it after the first one or the first one
- 35:58was meant to be like, Oh my God, people like those are really out
- 36:00there. And then after that, it was
- 36:02like, no, this isn't real. So we're just going to be as
- 36:04stupid as fucking possible with it.
- 36:06And I think that's how you get a good, dumb, fun movie like this.
- 36:09I agree. Yeah, OK, Absurd.
- 36:14I'm going to say the party scene when they first get there,
- 36:18'cause it takes them a little bit to get going.
- 36:20And I think Declan O'Brien O'Connor was definitely like
- 36:23trying to get them, like, loosened up.
- 36:25I wouldn't be surprised if he gave them like actual Scotch,
- 36:28because by the end, when they're racing each other in the
- 36:31wheelchairs, I think that was. Legit, yeah.
- 36:33I I do think he was having them improv.
- 36:36That whole scene though, also them just like sucking and
- 36:43fucking in the dorm room together like you.
- 36:46Think that's absurd or real? That's absurd.
- 36:48OK, that's my second absurd. Sorry.
- 36:50When I said also, that's what I meant.
- 36:52Yeah, they were just having a full blown orgy in there.
- 36:55Well, and if that's the case, it's kind of a lame orgy,
- 36:58because they should just be. I'm gonna use a term from
- 37:01another podcast, They should just be full ball of snakes at
- 37:04that point, You know what I mean?
- 37:05Yeah, that's there's limbs and organs and yeah, exactly like
- 37:11that's. If we're gonna do an orgy, go
- 37:13all the way. You know what I mean?
- 37:15Just. Fucking describe them as organs.
- 37:17That was the least hot way to describe I'm an orgy.
- 37:22Yeah, well. Bring your organs over here.
- 37:25Yeah, yeah, let. Me let me.
- 37:28Let me get off on that organ. Listen, I think there's worse
- 37:33ways to describe genitals, such as the word genital.
- 37:39That's just too clinical, you know what I mean?
- 37:42Organs is even further in that direction.
- 37:44Yeah, but it's just weird enough that it can maybe almost be
- 37:46kinky. No, no.
- 37:49For like the cannibals, maybe. I think that that's when it gets
- 37:53kind of cool with them. OK, my absurd is that they
- 37:57officially establish Hoot and Holler as a language in this
- 38:01movie. Oh, it's in the opening is like,
- 38:03they just grunt and they hoot and holler and that's just how
- 38:06they communicate. Yeah, not just them
- 38:08communicating with each other is how they communicate with the
- 38:11other patients. That's.
- 38:12How they speak. That's how they all speak.
- 38:14I feel like they brought that language and introduced it to
- 38:17that patients there. Everybody's like, wow, this is
- 38:19fucking. Groundbreaking.
- 38:20And you're like, you know what? Hooting and hollering.
- 38:22This is way more. This is the most fun I've had
- 38:24talking in a long time. God, I don't have to think of
- 38:26words anymore. It's amazing.
- 38:28You just express how you feel and it just kind of, it's kind
- 38:32of how Talia talks. So that's all the time.
- 38:34Like she'll go, That's like, oh, that's very serious.
- 38:38Or like the other night when Talia got mad at Zoe and we said
- 38:41Talia be nice to Zoe and Zoe went.
- 38:44Yeah, exactly. Yeah, that was a hauler.
- 38:46Yeah. OK, OK, So what do you rate this
- 38:50thing? Oh, let's see.
- 38:52I'm going to pitchforks ready, folks.
- 38:55I'm going to give this an 875. I love this.
- 38:59Movie. I think it's so much fun.
- 39:01Thank you. I'm glad that you went there
- 39:02too. I'm going to give it, dude.
- 39:06I'll. I'll match you.
- 39:08Let's fucking go there. I didn't give my order of the
- 39:13movies before. Are we going to do like a recap
- 39:16of this one when we talk about all these like we have our
- 39:18franchises? I don't know.
- 39:21We'll figure that out in two or three years when I finally
- 39:24relent to talking about Wrong Turn 6 on air.
- 39:26OK, I'll leave those out my in order.
- 39:30In this order wrong turn 1423. So very similar to mine, yeah.
- 39:37OK. And then I think we have to rank
- 39:405-6 and 2021 separately 'cause they're almost.
- 39:44Five is below 3:00 and 6:00 and then seven cause 7 is just
- 39:50fucking. Awful.
- 39:51I don't even know what I call it.
- 39:52Seven 'cause it's like it's a full remake.
- 39:54It's just it's so it's such a shift.
- 39:56OK. Anyway, are we ready to talk
- 39:57about this? She is.
- 39:58Yeah, yeah, yeah. Let's, let's talk about it, OK?
- 40:01So we start off at Glanville in West Virginia 1974.
- 40:07We've got Doctor Ryan and he's bringing in somebody.
- 40:12A woman. And I was like doctor, intern,
- 40:17therapist at one point. He makes some sort of a comment
- 40:20about like your type of therapy. So I think maybe she's like a
- 40:22music or therapist or something that.
- 40:24'D be interesting if they were introducing that here.
- 40:26Wasn't there some movie where we want where they brought in?
- 40:30Is Orphan the Orphan prequel? Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, you're
- 40:34right. Yeah.
- 40:35Music therapist? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 40:37So here's the thing, I love Doctor Ryan.
- 40:42The way the actor is portraying him it, and I told Travis this.
- 40:46While you're watching it, it feels very much like the opening
- 40:49of malignant where the Doctor is very serious and he's like time
- 40:52to cut out. And that's the way this guy like
- 40:55talks and he like over acts everything.
- 40:58This guy knows what fucking movie he's in and I am here for
- 41:01it. Maybe he was the one that
- 41:03pitched like, no, this is their language.
- 41:05I bet he did. And they holler at each other.
- 41:08This is how they communicate. And Declan O'Brien O'Connor was
- 41:11like, you're a doctor, so I believe you.
- 41:14And the actor was the actor was like, I'm not really a doctor.
- 41:17And he goes, you are now OK Anyway, he's explaining how the
- 41:22doors are like on a lock system and only one can be open at a
- 41:26time. And it's safety.
- 41:27It's for patient safety. The ultimate goal is to rehab
- 41:30them and get them, you know, back in public interactions.
- 41:34And then as soon as he says that, one of the patients grabs
- 41:37her by the hair and actually steals her hairpin.
- 41:41So yeah, they this is when he warns her she's like, all right,
- 41:45these are the Hillocker brothers.
- 41:48They got that name because Hilker found them in the woods
- 41:51eating what we assume was their parents and then right next to
- 41:54that I have ridden in all caps smart, and I was trying to
- 41:59figure out why. Because, he said, they're
- 42:01probably the smartest patient in.
- 42:02Hospital. They are smart.
- 42:04He was like, so busy, sick about.
- 42:08It I like that you were looking over your notes and being like,
- 42:11oh, that is a smart way to name them, yeah.
- 42:15OK, so one of them, we get three fingers.
- 42:17He ate two of his fingers. He got hungry one day.
- 42:19I guess next one is one eye. I like how.
- 42:23They got a last name, but they don't get first names much.
- 42:26Like, Yeah. Much like Vindy's Baby and Fade
- 42:30of The Furious. No names, yeah.
- 42:32Name. No name, baby.
- 42:33Well, it's not even their last name, Hilker.
- 42:35It's just the name of the person that found.
- 42:36Them, Yeah. Yeah, so, OK, one eye.
- 42:38He ate his own eye. He got hungry too.
- 42:40Yeah, well, he stabbed it out first.
- 42:42With a fork, yeah. And then saw Tooth was actually
- 42:45sawing his teeth up against the wall because he's got extra
- 42:49large teeth. I wish we'd seen some more of
- 42:51this extra large teeth action. Don't really get much.
- 42:53Of it, yeah. I thought it was funny that.
- 42:54Mostly all they did was give him a hair lip.
- 42:57Yeah, that's what they gave him. It was kind of funny.
- 42:59Is like this guy, two fingers in this guy, his eye, this guy.
- 43:03It's got big teeth. Yeah, like cool.
- 43:06Just got big bug teeth. Yeah, and apparently they've got
- 43:09congenital analgesia, which is often a resort of a homogeneous
- 43:14gene pool, AKA inbreeding. And then I like how she's like
- 43:18West Virginia. Yeah.
- 43:20Country roads, if you will. So let's see the brothers demand
- 43:27the pin from the other patient once Doctor Ryan and the
- 43:30therapist walk past. I'm just going to start calling
- 43:32her Harley Quinn. Pretty much, yeah.
- 43:35And eventually they can't, cuz he can't figure out how to
- 43:39unlock it. So they get the pin from him and
- 43:41they are able to unlock it. And I can't watch people picking
- 43:45locks without thinking of playing God.
- 43:49It was one of the Tom Clancy video games.
- 43:51Rama 6. No.
- 43:54Splinter Cell. Yes, Splinter Cell and there was
- 43:56like all of the lock picking and you actually like saw the inner
- 43:59mechanism. So that's what I picture anytime
- 44:01I see lock picking. In movies that.
- 44:03Is cool, Yeah. And they figured out they get
- 44:06out, they kill one of the orderlies E is nose, and then
- 44:10they unleash everybody. And of course we get a chaos
- 44:13montage set to Buddha noob. Oh.
- 44:15My God, I love the music for this.
- 44:18It is such a great way to like, have the chaos and then this
- 44:21classical music over top of it. And then I also feel like this
- 44:24is one of those where Declan O'Brien O'Connor was like, all
- 44:28right, chaos. And everybody's like, what?
- 44:33So, like. And it's very much like in a mob
- 44:34scene, like what we talked about last week with many people not
- 44:38sure what to do. Yeah, so we get like some people
- 44:41are just having fun together. And then some people are just
- 44:45kind of, like twirling around, swirling around.
- 44:48The brothers take this doctor, who's actually the doctor,
- 44:52Quinn. They take her and they've
- 44:55decided that they hate her despite all she said was that
- 44:58she wanted to work with them after doctor, Ryan said don't
- 45:01bother dealing with them. She goes, no, I want to try and
- 45:03work with them. And they're like, yeah, they
- 45:08hated that. Yeah, they carted her into a
- 45:10room in a wheelchair and they strap her into an electrical
- 45:13machine. We see later there's footage
- 45:15that these that they were shocked.
- 45:18You know who is the person that's shocking them in that
- 45:19footage? Who?
- 45:21Declan O'Brien O'Connor himself. Oh wow.
- 45:23Yeah, he's the one shocking them.
- 45:25But here's the other thing is that why are they so mad about
- 45:27it if they don't feel pain? Yeah, I feel like they would
- 45:31probably enjoy it, you know what I mean?
- 45:32Like if you don't, maybe IT folks with like their actual
- 45:35like. Like for a minute, it does, Like
- 45:38make them feel pain. They like.
- 45:39It brings them back into a different reality.
- 45:42Oh man, that would be interesting.
- 45:44So yeah, they they fry her to death.
- 45:47Yeah, that's why I was calling her Harley Quinn.
- 45:49He's a very similar. Yeah, yeah.
- 45:52And next we have the other doctor, he.
- 45:56Is Doctor Ryan? Yeah, he is strapped up.
- 45:58They have him tied up in barbed wire.
- 46:00Where did the fuck did they get the barbed wire?
- 46:02I don't know, But they've got him tied.
- 46:04UP hospitals maintain a supply of barbed.
- 46:06Apparently they must have only available.
- 46:08Must have been left over there from when it was abandoned,
- 46:10apparently. And these boys would get along
- 46:12with one John Kramer very well, because they set up this feat of
- 46:18engineering very quickly. I don't know why, but I thought
- 46:21you were gonna say 1 John Cena and I was gonna be like, wow.
- 46:26Because we saw you watching for 9:00 last.
- 46:28Night. Yeah, that's right.
- 46:31Yeah, I would like to see John Cena in a past or No, no, he
- 46:36isn't. Like, I wanna see him in a Wrong
- 46:37Turn movie. OK, so I see him.
- 46:41I did see him. We'll we'll watch it, because
- 46:43you can't. See him?
- 46:45No, God, that went over my head, OK?
- 46:48Like how I completely missed him and Barbie, I literally didn't
- 46:51see. Him.
- 46:51I can't believe you didn't see him.
- 46:54OK, so he is tied up. All of his limbs, barbed wire.
- 46:58They pull him apart. He gets.
- 46:59Dismembered. Yeah, he is drawn and quartered.
- 47:01Yeah, and he did. And this guy, he ends up his
- 47:04death too. Like he goes like full cross
- 47:07eyed as he's screaming. I love him.
- 47:09I need more of this guy in my life.
- 47:12He did a great job. Yeah.
- 47:13All right, Weston University, 2003.
- 47:17There is a fuck session going on.
- 47:20We get God, who is this? This is Vincent and.
- 47:24Vincent and Jenna. Jenna.
- 47:26And Sarah and Bridget. Like the Honestly, this is
- 47:32pornographic. Like dude, it's there's.
- 47:34Basically Softcore porn here. Yeah, there's.
- 47:38I honestly don't know how Vincent isn't penetrating Jenna
- 47:42with the way, like how naked they are and how they're
- 47:45positioned. Well, I think in some cases when
- 47:48they simulate sex like that, they actually have like pieces
- 47:51over there to like block it. I hope they were, cuz she was
- 47:53like grinding on him and she was full nakes.
- 47:57Yeah, she was full nakes. I think he probably would too,
- 48:00right? I mean.
- 48:00Yeah, I mean, there's a very carefully draped blanket and
- 48:03that's the only thing I can think of.
- 48:04But I mean, and then we got, we got Bridget and Sarah over
- 48:08there. You, you.
- 48:10I can tell that they were fully simulating because like she was
- 48:13pretending like she was going down on her, but her head was
- 48:17like nowhere near, far down enough.
- 48:19I guess off they're on their knees.
- 48:20It was very Tommy Wiseau like. Yeah, yeah.
- 48:23Like, what's the anatomy of? This.
- 48:24Yeah, yeah, yeah. So.
- 48:27Because that was even because how do you get your face that
- 48:30close to hers? I think we probably know because
- 48:33we get a side shot of her. I was going to say I feel like
- 48:35Tiger Rose actress could have had on unders, but no, she
- 48:39didn't. She didn't.
- 48:40You see her boots? Yeah, we see her butt later.
- 48:42So anyway, all right, we got lots of friendship, sex bonding.
- 48:47Yeah, Kenya. And then Kenya comes in and
- 48:50calls them slut monkeys and rabbits and says that they need
- 48:54to be in her car in 5 minutes, naked or not.
- 48:57She doesn't say that part, but it's kind of implied.
- 48:59That's why she gives them such a short deadline, so you don't
- 49:01have time to get dressed. They try and get her to join.
- 49:03Yeah, why don't you join? And she's like, oh, I think
- 49:06Bridget, we're like that And Bridget's like, I don't mind.
- 49:09Boy, that could have got even more hot.
- 49:11I think Deco O'Brien was like, we're on a 19 day schedule.
- 49:14I wanna go there, but. We can't go there, but we don't
- 49:17have time to go there. Yeah, all right.
- 49:19So we cut to them at some snowy area.
- 49:24They have all arrived there. At the They just don't know.
- 49:26They parks their cars and then chaperone, Daniel says.
- 49:30Can we just leave our cars here? Yeah, wasn't there a sign saying
- 49:33no parking? I don't know.
- 49:35There was so much, so much nothing was happening.
- 49:39It was just chaos. And I was trying to make take
- 49:42notes that made sense 'cause that's the 1st 20 minutes of
- 49:44this movie. He is just vaguely organized
- 49:47chaos. I agree with him though I worry
- 49:49about that shit all the time too.
- 49:50Like, can I park here? I was worried about that last
- 49:52night whenever we were parked up against the other building when
- 49:54we went for dinner. So this is one of my funny thing
- 49:59that happened. So they all snowmobile away, but
- 50:01one of them is on a a snowboard and I didn't see him holding on
- 50:05to the snowmobile. So I thought he was just going
- 50:07up a hill. Yeah, just on his own.
- 50:11Like not going down the hill he was.
- 50:12Doing a real life Tony Hawk pro skater.
- 50:14Yeah, I wrote down in this like I know what you're thinking.
- 50:20Looks like a Noxzema commercial or something, cuz it's just a
- 50:24bunch of just a bunch of attractive teenagers.
- 50:27And Daniel, he's he's attractive, he's just also very
- 50:31clearly not teenager. And yeah, and they're just like
- 50:37hanging out in the snow having fun, beautiful skin, beautiful
- 50:40hair. Their hair is gonna remain
- 50:42perfect for the rest of the movie, by the way, despite what
- 50:45they go through, They're gonna be chased, they're gonna be
- 50:48bloody. The only person whose hair gets
- 50:50messed up from that is Kyle, and honestly I think it's an
- 50:53improvement on his style. Kyle.
- 50:55He was true to the era, though. He was.
- 50:57I actually think I had that same hairstyle whenever I was that
- 51:01age. It was not that age, but back in
- 51:03that time. It was, yeah.
- 51:05It was. It was, yeah, very swoopy, not
- 51:08quite emo, but like close to it. And he is the one who says he's
- 51:14been to Porter's cabin plenty of times.
- 51:16And it's definitely a right here and everybody else, like, pretty
- 51:19sure we're supposed to go left. He goes, no, it's a right.
- 51:21And then don't worry, somebody just say it.
- 51:23I feel like we're taking a wrong.
- 51:26Turn. Yeah, but I forgot to mention
- 51:28that the Porter and one of the guys that they're hanging with
- 51:31apparently went ahead to the cabin to warm it up for them.
- 51:34And you cannot convince me that they didn't name him Porter, so
- 51:36that way they couldn't make a joke about Porterhouse leader.
- 51:40Oh, damn. That's that is really.
- 51:43There's no way that Declan O'Brien O'Connor wasn't writing
- 51:46his script and going what's a good name?
- 51:48I have to come up with 25 names because I've put so much cannon
- 51:51fodder in this movie. What's a good name for one of
- 51:53them? Oh, Porter, So I can say
- 51:55Porterhouse. There we go.
- 51:57Do you think they can? That sounds like a rich kid
- 51:58asshole name, and it also sounds like a steak.
- 52:02Yeah, you're probably right, honestly.
- 52:04OK, so they are lost, Temperatures are dropping, it's
- 52:08getting late, but they find a big old building.
- 52:11So they're like, OK, we found shelter.
- 52:13They're like, I feel like I see something over there.
- 52:15It's just like a giant ass filter.
- 52:18Yeah, I know. It's just this big ass
- 52:20sanitarium. Isn't it also funny that they're
- 52:23like, oh cool, let's just go hang out there?
- 52:24And they're not worried at all about Porter, who's just.
- 52:28Like think Porter's at his cabin 'cause he supposedly went ahead
- 52:31to get everything set up. OK.
- 52:33And they OK, Yeah, Yeah. And they get in there.
- 52:37And we do see somebody being dragged in by the Hillacor Rose
- 52:41afterwards. It is Porter.
- 52:42And it is Porter we later find out, which we also assume in
- 52:45this moment. But yeah, so they get in there
- 52:49and they're surprised to see that the water's running.
- 52:51And they're like, they must have a maintenance crew to come out
- 52:54and run the water so the pipes don't freeze and everybody's
- 52:56like, this place is a disaster. There is no maintenance crew
- 52:59coming here. Oh well, and that's pretty much
- 53:02it. That's pretty.
- 53:04So they started exploring around, just checking the place
- 53:06out. And to be fair, they were
- 53:08concerned about Porter. They wanted to call them that.
- 53:10They don't have signal because it's 2003 and that's a
- 53:13reasonable expectation. Yeah.
- 53:16OK, that's fair. All right, so they go exploring
- 53:21around Matt Daniel weeds off the rest follow.
- 53:24They find Doctor Brennan Ryan's office, and he left behind a
- 53:27mess. They find a bunch of patient.
- 53:29Files. And they also find a bottle of
- 53:32Scotch that was 30 years old thirty years ago.
- 53:34Whoa. So it's extra age.
- 53:36Yeah, and these kids do not appreciate it for what it is.
- 53:40They are like just straight up chugging, like waterfalling with
- 53:43a bottle. Also, that's not gonna last very
- 53:46long around that many kids. No, it's not.
- 53:48It's absolutely not. So.
- 53:51They go looking through rooms. Yeah, Vincent disappears at one
- 53:55point and he scares Kenya and Jenna and Kenya's like, this is
- 53:59the thing with your pranks, Vincent, is that they you don't
- 54:03consider how it hurts other people's feelings and they just
- 54:06wanted to establish that quick and hard.
- 54:08So that way when he disappeared later, nobody takes it
- 54:12seriously. But that ends up being a fucking
- 54:13nothing of a plot point because Daniel's the one that gets
- 54:16fondue yield. So.
- 54:17You're right. Oh dude, that would have been
- 54:19way better if it was him. Yeah, 'cause they're like, oh,
- 54:21is he fucking with us? Yes, exactly.
- 54:24But that's not what ends up happening.
- 54:26Damn it, they fucked that up. We got some casual stalking,
- 54:29yeah. Socking.
- 54:30Yeah, the boys are socking around.
- 54:32Vincent is like, OK, I feel like this place has to have a
- 54:35generator, so he offers to go find us since everybody's kind
- 54:38of pissed at him. Yeah, and he goes downstairs and
- 54:40he starts it up. It's incredibly easy to start
- 54:42up. A generator for a 2500 square
- 54:45foot building apparently isn't. It interesting that the
- 54:48hillbillies have been staying at this place for so long and they
- 54:51just have never turned on the power apparently.
- 54:54Well, if they don't feel pain, I assume that also don't feel.
- 54:58Yeah, yeah. How do they know when they're
- 55:00hungry? Did they just eat?
- 55:02Oh yeah, I think it's definitely an eat out of boredom kind of
- 55:05thing, OK? And I'm sure they do feel like a
- 55:07need to survive, like they need the fuel to keep moving at some
- 55:10point. Yeah.
- 55:11OK. Fair enough.
- 55:13OK, So they got the power on that means parties on you?
- 55:16Don't do human fondue for survival purposes, Travis.
- 55:21No, that's when you're bored. Just because they were snowed
- 55:24in, It was a snowstorm, so they had to.
- 55:25Who taught? Them about fondue.
- 55:27Dude, they're not uncivilized, you know what I mean?
- 55:30Well, they've been in this hospital since they were 8-9 and
- 55:33ten years old. But they've been to the city.
- 55:38They've they had like that one. They're like Amish people, like
- 55:41they like had rum Springer. They partied for like a minute
- 55:44and they're like, OK, I I the cannibal life is.
- 55:46More yeah, that's yeah, I'm going to go back to my roots.
- 55:48It's it's not much, but it's honest.
- 55:51Exactly. Yeah.
- 55:52So OK, power's on, party's on. They are all having a good time.
- 55:56Mm hmm. Boys are watching through a two
- 55:59way mirror though. Yep.
- 56:01And then this all leads up to them all wheelchairing into the
- 56:05auditorium doing like a wheelchair race.
- 56:07That thing Daniel has found a movie reel.
- 56:11Or not. Daniel.
- 56:12One of the girls. I can't remember which one.
- 56:14Bridget. Let's just say Bridget I.
- 56:16Didn't write down who it was. So she found one of the like a
- 56:19movie reel. So they go to a projector
- 56:21because apparently they have a giantess projector.
- 56:23Then they start pointing. At the auditorium and the screen
- 56:25so. That's true.
- 56:27So they start playing the movie. It is footage of experimental
- 56:32testing that was going on back in the day.
- 56:34It's black and white footage. Decco and O'Brien.
- 56:36O'Connor is over there. Shocking.
- 56:38Is it the boys? I think, yeah, I think it's one
- 56:41eye, OK? And then Lauren says she
- 56:44remembers the stories from up here and how her brother used to
- 56:47scare her. Talking about the cannibals in
- 56:49this area and how they were at this hospital and they escaped
- 56:52and that they were going to come get me every time we drove past.
- 56:56Yeah, so that's when Daniel's like, all right, it's time to go
- 56:59to bed. Yeah, he's like, I am horny.
- 57:02Let's go fuck in some beds that haven't been cleaned in almost
- 57:06half a century. Dusty old day, yeah.
- 57:08Boy, are my allergies going to be going.
- 57:11Yeah, now these kids are going to be absolutely perfect when
- 57:14they wake up the next morning. Not a hair out of place for
- 57:18them. Nope.
- 57:19We get Vincent wakes up and he's like, sleep, I'm going to go
- 57:25explore and his girlfriend's like, OK, like.
- 57:28She's like, whatever. That's like a such a weird thing
- 57:30to do, like, I'm just going to go explore.
- 57:33I mean, I guess like if you can't sleep, you know.
- 57:37I guess so. They can't go anywhere else.
- 57:39I think that's probably unrealistic.
- 57:41I think mostly he had been like, I can't sleep.
- 57:43Can you please, like give me a handy or something that'll so
- 57:47relax me? Babe, that is just.
- 57:49That would be what he would say, yeah, yeah, for sure.
- 57:51And she would say no. Really, what's happening?
- 57:54Is that Shawn Skis? Is that his name?
- 57:56Yeah, no, that's Kyle. That's who.
- 57:59That is, Kyle is. No, you're right.
- 58:00No, it is Vince. Yeah, yeah.
- 58:02OK. Yeah, so Shawn Skis was like,
- 58:04hey, I can't sleep, wink wink. I gotta go explore, make a put
- 58:10on my prosthetics. Yeah, exactly.
- 58:13I gotta get removed from the movie because I gotta turn into
- 58:153 fingernails. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 58:17Yeah, so on his way to exploring, he stumbles upon
- 58:20Sarah and Bridget who are fucking.
- 58:23And you know, that's just like a thing that's happened.
- 58:26Yeah, this is the one that's on it.
- 58:28Somehow it's more fetishy than the group sex in the beginning.
- 58:31I. Think it's because he's perven
- 58:32on him? Yeah.
- 58:33And she's into it. Like she sees him do that and
- 58:35she wings out him. Yeah.
- 58:37So yeah, there's like a whole thing going on there.
- 58:39I feel like Declan O'Brien O'Connor hasn't heard of
- 58:41scissoring though, because he just keeps having them go down
- 58:43on each other. They just like Worrel,
- 58:45apparently, You know, that's their jam.
- 58:46Saying so, he keeps walking and he stumbles upon a body in an
- 58:52office and he figures out it's Porter.
- 58:54So he walks up to him and turns around.
- 58:58Porter's dead, so he turns around and.
- 59:01He gets stabbed right through the head is.
- 59:03It sawtooth. Yeah, yeah, he's there.
- 59:05He says right in the hedge. Shishka bobs him.
- 59:07Yeah. All right.
- 59:09So the next morning they can't find Vincent.
- 59:13You know what's ridiculous about this?
- 59:15They're all like, where's Vincent?
- 59:16And everybody's like, I don't know.
- 59:17And then Sarah comes in and she's like, I'm sorry I've been
- 59:20running. Where the fuck's she been
- 59:21running? She said the night before that
- 59:23she was gonna do stairs in the morning and everybody else had
- 59:25been smoking and drinking and they're like, no, absolutely
- 59:27we're not. Gonna.
- 59:28She said she was doing stairs. Yeah, OK, I missed that
- 59:30completely. All right, That makes a lot more
- 59:32sense. And she is in really good shape.
- 59:34She's in very good shape, but I I just thought it was funny.
- 59:37She's like, yeah, I'm gonna go for a run.
- 59:38Yeah. So yeah, they are like, well,
- 59:42let's just go find him. All of their stuff is gone,
- 59:45which, listen, cannibals aside, people really do just like chill
- 59:52and abandoned buildings. We watch a lot of videos about
- 59:55this kind of stuff. That would be an actual real
- 59:58concern is that your shit can be stolen by somebody who's
- 1:00:01squatting in this giant building and assuming you know that they
- 1:00:04can think of it as their home, and then a bunch of horny fucks
- 1:00:07come in and destroy things for a little bit.
- 1:00:10It's a big ass building, man. There's a lot of room for
- 1:00:12people. Like, and what if the squatter
- 1:00:14was in there? I was like, I don't know how to
- 1:00:15operate a generator. What do I do to keep this
- 1:00:18responsibly running? When you guys leave, you have
- 1:00:21left me with so much, so much ownership that I now have to to
- 1:00:25have to take care of. That's why I stole the stuff.
- 1:00:29Yeah. I'm going to stole the stuff.
- 1:00:30That way they can't go anywhere, yeah.
- 1:00:32So yeah, they like. I need you guys to teach me how
- 1:00:34to use the generator. Yeah, so he doesn't, like
- 1:00:38communicate that because he just hoots.
- 1:00:40And hollers, yeah, because he only knows the Hoot and holler
- 1:00:41language. So UPS the group, they split up
- 1:00:45and they're like, we're going to meet in the auditorium in 30
- 1:00:47minutes. So the basement group finds
- 1:00:50tools in a cage and like 50 clocks.
- 1:00:53Yeah, there's so many clocks here.
- 1:00:55What the fuck is up with that? And it's like, and at first when
- 1:00:58he's like, whoa guys, look at this.
- 1:00:59I was like, I know it's a lot of clocks, but he's actually
- 1:01:02referring to all the. Two clocks.
- 1:01:04It took me an embarrassing amount of time to figure out
- 1:01:06what was happening and the. Other crew are up there and they
- 1:01:10find Porter's where Porter's body was.
- 1:01:13They see the blood. Yeah, and because they don't
- 1:01:15know Porter's spent there, they say it's Vincent, so they're a
- 1:01:17little bit concerned. Vince.
- 1:01:20Oh, vinces girlfriend Jenna. I don't know her name at this
- 1:01:22point. She sees Porter being prepped to
- 1:01:27be eaten, and so she tries to run back to the rest of the
- 1:01:29group. Everybody else is convened in
- 1:01:31the auditorium and she is trying to tell everybody that they're
- 1:01:34in danger when all of a sudden Porters jacket is bundled up and
- 1:01:38tossed in the middle of the group.
- 1:01:40And when they undo the jacket, they discover his head inside.
- 1:01:43And that's when, like, everything's happening.
- 1:01:46Yeah, and then? Suddenly a noose comes out of
- 1:01:48nowhere and gets one of them. I can't remember which one it
- 1:01:50was. I don't think we did we.
- 1:01:52Ever, ever got. Her name?
- 1:01:53Ever got her name? She's a short haired blonde
- 1:01:56woman. Let's see.
- 1:01:56It must have been Dude, I don't even know if I wrote her down
- 1:02:01here. Right.
- 1:02:02Honestly, I don't think I did. I literally don't think we ever
- 1:02:04got our name for her. But she she's Kyle's girlfriend.
- 1:02:08Yeah. She gets the barbed wire news
- 1:02:10that we were talking about earlier.
- 1:02:11He's like trying to stop her. And at a certain point it's like
- 1:02:15just give up, man. Just get.
- 1:02:16Yeah, like you're literally just killing her.
- 1:02:18But also it's probably better than her being eaten alive.
- 1:02:20So yeah, 6 1/2 dozen the other so.
- 1:02:23Yeah, he he pulls on the legs trying for year and decapitates
- 1:02:27her blood everywhere so they run off.
- 1:02:31So where am I at with bloody boyfriend?
- 1:02:36OK, they run out to the snowmobiles because they are
- 1:02:40trying to go and get away. Oh, I was making a note about
- 1:02:42the Evil Deadshot. Oh, OK.
- 1:02:44That's what that notion is, OK. So OK, they run outside.
- 1:02:47Yeah, they're trying to get into the snowmobiles, but one of them
- 1:02:50has the spark plugs missing. Actually, they all.
- 1:02:52Do. It's not the spark plugs, which
- 1:02:54is what they say in this later. It's the spark plug wires.
- 1:02:57Oh. The spark plug wires.
- 1:02:58Here I don't know the difference between the two and I don't know
- 1:03:00if it matters, but it does change from here till later in
- 1:03:04the movie. I don't think that they actually
- 1:03:05know. I think that they're just.
- 1:03:07Yeah. Things They don't know how this
- 1:03:09shit works. They don't know how to repair a
- 1:03:11snowmobile. Yeah, it.
- 1:03:12Must be the spark plugs. Yeah, they're like, clearly any
- 1:03:15type of thing doesn't work. It's because of the spark plugs.
- 1:03:17Also, there was a point last night where I was trying to
- 1:03:19write down Snowmobile. Couldn't think of the word.
- 1:03:21And I looked at Travis and I said, what are those called?
- 1:03:23And he said they're not Jet skis, which is kind of scary
- 1:03:25because I was gonna write snow Jet Skis.
- 1:03:27He had no way of knowing that I was gonna write that.
- 1:03:30Yeah, there's snow jet skis. So yeah, they point out that
- 1:03:34they don't have jackets either, so it's not like they can really
- 1:03:36continue on the foot. They decide they're going to run
- 1:03:38inside and hole up in that office they were in before.
- 1:03:40But one of them, there is one jacket and Lauren takes it and
- 1:03:44she's like, OK, I'm not staying here, I'm going to go get.
- 1:03:47Help. She's like, I'm the strongest
- 1:03:48skier. I will get down the hill and I
- 1:03:50will go for help. Yeah, so they don't fight her on
- 1:03:53it. So she goes and then yeah,
- 1:03:55that's when Daniel's like, OK, we got to go back in there and
- 1:03:59fight. We got to go find things to
- 1:04:01fight back with them. Yeah.
- 1:04:02So Kyle, Sarah and Daniel decide that they're going to go to the
- 1:04:05basement for those tools. That way they've got something
- 1:04:07to protect themselves with. Well, Bridget, Kenya and Sarah
- 1:04:14No, Sarah went downstairs. Jenna.
- 1:04:16Jenna. They stay upstairs.
- 1:04:19Then we get what I think is a slumber party massacre to
- 1:04:22reference with the drill through the door.
- 1:04:24Yeah, for sure. Yeah, right.
- 1:04:26I got Big Slumber Party Massacre just like the first one too with
- 1:04:29Just with the giant. Yeah.
- 1:04:31Because, I mean, what if he had an actual guitar drill?
- 1:04:34I would love that, but then it just it makes me think of like
- 1:04:37that scene where he's singing Let's Buzz.
- 1:04:40Yeah, yeah. That's what it means, yeah.
- 1:04:42Right down to the, like, clearly cardboard door and everything.
- 1:04:47Don't even give me the guitar. Just give me like a little like.
- 1:04:50Shitty. Like a a little jig down the
- 1:04:52hallway while he's like got the little drill, you know?
- 1:04:55He is. I was going.
- 1:04:56To try. I was going to try and holler to
- 1:04:59Let's buzz, but I I don't have that in me right now.
- 1:05:02Oh. It's OK.
- 1:05:04OK, so as the other three are going down to get the tools,
- 1:05:08three fingers chasing them with an axe.
- 1:05:11And Daniel gets grabbed as they get back upstairs.
- 1:05:16And they don't realize until Sarah and Kyle have gotten back
- 1:05:19up there that he's not behind them.
- 1:05:22So he is being tied to a table. That's what we see.
- 1:05:25And then we cut to the office where they realize that he's not
- 1:05:28back, he's not coming, and they argue about what the plan is and
- 1:05:31Bridge is like. We need to leave.
- 1:05:34They're using him as bait. He's clearly already dead.
- 1:05:38I love how she immediately jumps like, well he is dead so we do
- 1:05:41not need to go after him and the other's like, well, he might not
- 1:05:45be dead, he's like no. And then they hear screaming and
- 1:05:47he's like help, help me please friends friends help me please.
- 1:05:52Please help me friends. And so she's like, I think we
- 1:05:56should vote because I still think he's almost dead.
- 1:05:58And if you're my. Friend help me.
- 1:06:00And she says all in favor of staying here, and it's just her
- 1:06:05hand. And all in favor of rescuing
- 1:06:07Daniel And Ariel's hands go up and they look at him.
- 1:06:10And then Martin from My Bloody Valentine 3D just comes up from
- 1:06:13the shadows and he just looks at her disappointingly.
- 1:06:17Must be Axel, Sister, I I love the thought that they even
- 1:06:22entertained the idea of taking a vote, right?
- 1:06:25Like they did it just to make her feel as shitty as possible.
- 1:06:28Honestly, if she didn't die near the end of this movie, I think
- 1:06:31Sarah would have broken up during.
- 1:06:33She was like, you have no loyalty, yeah.
- 1:06:35She showed her true. College.
- 1:06:36Yeah. She's getting very, like, very
- 1:06:38disgusted with her as this goes on, Yeah.
- 1:06:41So OK, the boys are cutting up Daniel hard.
- 1:06:44Yeah, they are taking out chunks of skin.
- 1:06:47Yeah, they're taking some titties, some thigh.
- 1:06:50Some. Liver.
- 1:06:51Some liver. Well, they save the liver for
- 1:06:53last. Because, like, once it becomes
- 1:06:55clear that the friends are not going to help him, he's like,
- 1:06:57please just kill me. Please just just kill me.
- 1:06:59You can eat me after I'm dead. I don't even care.
- 1:07:02Just kill me. So they rip open his rib cage
- 1:07:07and then they yank out his liver, which apparently is
- 1:07:10deadly immediately. I think that combined with.
- 1:07:14The shocks and yeah. Honestly, this whole scene is
- 1:07:18very upsetting, though. It is terrifying just seeing
- 1:07:22this shit. Yeah, I was putting myself in
- 1:07:24his shoes there, like what would like, my friends abandoned me.
- 1:07:27They don't. They're not my friends anymore.
- 1:07:29They obviously don't give a shit.
- 1:07:30He's like and I bet our cars were towed.
- 1:07:32Yeah, I bet the spark plugs actually did work, but, and I
- 1:07:38love how they make it downstairs and they're like, they don't
- 1:07:40even rush in. Kyle's like, all right, I'm
- 1:07:43going to go get some Recon. So they all voted that they're
- 1:07:47going to go help him. And Kyle's like, wait, let me go
- 1:07:49see what's happening. And Kyle goes in there, sees
- 1:07:52them like fondunuling him, but he doesn't see the Hannibal
- 1:07:56lecturing of it. So he goes back and they're
- 1:07:58like, all right, we're going to go in there.
- 1:07:59So after Daniel's already dead, they come in, they get the jump
- 1:08:03on the. But not even sin.
- 1:08:04They're like, like, they have to formulate a plan first.
- 1:08:06So she's like, all right, we're not going to go in there, but
- 1:08:08without having a plan, we're going to die.
- 1:08:10Thankfully, I have a plan. Yeah, so they get the jump on
- 1:08:15them, they chase, they run, and they end up locking the brothers
- 1:08:19in their old cell. I like that it was the exact
- 1:08:22same. Cell.
- 1:08:22Yeah. Well, and it ends up becoming
- 1:08:24important later. So one of oh, before that.
- 1:08:30Before that, one of the brothers chokes on one of Daniel's
- 1:08:36fingers. Oh yeah, and.
- 1:08:38The other brothers do not know basic Heinlich, and they just
- 1:08:42kind of swat at him. Yeah, that's a little
- 1:08:47swapsicker. It's so.
- 1:08:48Funny because they're just like. See, I feel like that's maybe
- 1:08:53they did watch 3 Stooges growing up, because that felt like a
- 1:08:56Three Stooges moment right there.
- 1:08:57That's. Yeah, so one eye actually took
- 1:09:00out his eye, 'cause? He was.
- 1:09:02Holy shit. Yeah.
- 1:09:04Damn. Wow.
- 1:09:06We're, We're building the. Wall here.
- 1:09:08It's got, I'm telling you, it's going to be in their MTV Crews
- 1:09:11episode. Yeah 'cause we're going to make
- 1:09:12it. We're making the next strong
- 1:09:14turn, OK? So they're all locked in.
- 1:09:17Kyle is going to keep watch while they all try and find the
- 1:09:20spark plugs. 1st we have a quick cut to Lauren in the woods and I
- 1:09:24need to talk about because this fucking dummy took off her
- 1:09:28gloves. Oh yeah, that was a bad call.
- 1:09:31Well, she had to make a fire. She makes a tiny, modest little
- 1:09:34fire. And then she doesn't put her
- 1:09:36gloves back on and she's holding her hands over this fire.
- 1:09:39And then snow falls on top of her, on top of the fire and on
- 1:09:43top of her hands. And now she's definitely gonna
- 1:09:45get frostbite. And then she just started crying
- 1:09:47and kind of keels over in the snow.
- 1:09:48And that's where she we find her dad later.
- 1:09:50Is that where she does? I'm pretty sure, I thought.
- 1:09:53She made it a little bit further.
- 1:09:54'Cause she was no 'cause, the irony was that she was so close
- 1:09:57to the road. Yeah, OK.
- 1:09:58Yeah. I think this is where she just
- 1:10:00gave up. OK, I love how like the movie
- 1:10:03just kind of forgets about her. Like.
- 1:10:04Everybody was like, Oh yeah, and I guess we.
- 1:10:06Should update on Warren. So Kyle says he wants to light
- 1:10:10the brothers on fire, and they're he's getting ready to do
- 1:10:14it, and they talk him out of it. They're like, listen, that's not
- 1:10:16a thing that you can undo. Like as a human, you can't undo
- 1:10:20murder. And so he's like, all right,
- 1:10:22fine, we'll just take turns watching them self.
- 1:10:24Defense, man, I think it's called for.
- 1:10:26I think it's justified in this sense.
- 1:10:28So the others decide that they're going to go look for the
- 1:10:30spark plug wires and they'll leave in the morning.
- 1:10:33No matter what. Kyle's going to stay on guard
- 1:10:36first while they search and he tells the brothers as soon as
- 1:10:40the women are out of earshot that he is going to murdered
- 1:10:43them. He's going to say that he forgot
- 1:10:45something, he's going to come back in, he's going to light
- 1:10:47them on fire and so they're dying.
- 1:10:48And then he doesn't pay any attention to three finger
- 1:10:51reaching into the toilet and I'm pulling out there but.
- 1:10:54Sure. Just fucking one of them on fire
- 1:10:55right there. Just fucking do it, dude.
- 1:10:57We're going to do it. He falls asleep.
- 1:10:59They all fall asleep looking for the spark plug wires.
- 1:11:02Like, whatever. Let's just fall asleep and try
- 1:11:03again in the morning. And yeah, while he is asleep,
- 1:11:06they. Unlock the.
- 1:11:09Yeah, again from the toilet, they.
- 1:11:10Splinter Cell it No, it's their toilet.
- 1:11:13It's the toilet. Yeah and yeah, they pick the
- 1:11:15walk and then they grab him. They punch him first.
- 1:11:18They wake him up with punch, face punch.
- 1:11:23Okay. So the girls are in the room and
- 1:11:27they hear somebody running down the hall and they peek through
- 1:11:30the drill hole. What an insult to Kyle, because
- 1:11:34they're like it's the small one. Yeah, I know he they were doing
- 1:11:38back at Jason with him. They even changed his clothes.
- 1:11:41I thought like he had like a flannel on.
- 1:11:43Yeah, it was a yeah, they swapped him out.
- 1:11:45Yeah, it's. And yeah, that's what I'm
- 1:11:47saying. I really feel like I wish we
- 1:11:49could have seen more from Declan O'Brien O'Connor because it
- 1:11:52feels like he's got a a lot of love for this side of the genre,
- 1:11:55you know what I mean? And you know what?
- 1:11:57I bet he would have loved my whole relating this to Friday
- 1:12:00the 13th Part 2 and wondering how Jason knows how to do
- 1:12:04toilets in a wood shack, because, you know, you feel like
- 1:12:08he would appreciate that, yeah? How?
- 1:12:10How do? How do they.
- 1:12:11So they the guy's not talking, he's just making grunts, which I
- 1:12:15understand, though, you know, it's kind of hooting and
- 1:12:17hollering innocence. He's been inducted.
- 1:12:19He's been initiated, yeah. What?
- 1:12:21What would they call him? He's got his tongue missing like
- 1:12:23no tongue. Was that his hillbilly name?
- 1:12:25I don't know. I just finished rereading
- 1:12:29concrete games, so I'm just like a boxes.
- 1:12:31OK, OK, so they're like, OK, let's just go out there.
- 1:12:35Like there's three of us. One of them, he's a small and we
- 1:12:38can fucking take him. So they all.
- 1:12:40They don't question how easy it is to stab him.
- 1:12:42He's. Running away.
- 1:12:43Man, And they just keep stabbing him.
- 1:12:45Stabs, stabs, stabs. So many stabs.
- 1:12:48Like his body becomes liquid. Yeah, at a certain point they
- 1:12:52pulverize him into a fucking juice.
- 1:12:54Yeah. And they take the bag off and
- 1:12:56they realize it's Kyle. Yeah, And then they're chased by
- 1:12:59the brothers who were hiding out and waiting with the drill.
- 1:13:02The front door has been chained up because, in addition to
- 1:13:05barbed wire, hospitals keep chains and padlocks ready at all
- 1:13:08times, of course. So they go to find their way
- 1:13:13out, they head to the attic and they find the brothers like base
- 1:13:16camp. I guess this is where they
- 1:13:17prefer to stay and there's a pile of coats suggesting that
- 1:13:22they are not the first people that have wound up here, lost in
- 1:13:25this now. Yeah, so they put on the coats
- 1:13:28and they bust out a window before, not before locking the
- 1:13:31door with a piece of wood. Yeah, that's what you do in a
- 1:13:34horror movie. Use a small piece of plywood.
- 1:13:38Yeah, it's like a 2 by 4, yeah, yeah.
- 1:13:40So they passed out a window and they started digging through the
- 1:13:43snow to drying it out to the top.
- 1:13:44Sarah goes through first. I love it.
- 1:13:46She stabs the snow a few times and then realizes that's too
- 1:13:49slow. And then she's digging through.
- 1:13:52Yeah, and she gets through. And then Bridget comes through.
- 1:13:56And then Kenya, Jenna is attacked as she's coming through
- 1:13:59and she's being pulled and she gets drilled through.
- 1:14:02Kenya, I'm sorry, Kenya. Kenya is an anteam contestant.
- 1:14:08So Kenya sees this happen. If she gets pulled out and she's
- 1:14:12all bloody, so they go running. The brothers obviously chase
- 1:14:15them. They have had the spark plug
- 1:14:18wire tube things this whole time, 'cause they're able to
- 1:14:24work the snow jet skis. So Sarah drops her weapon at
- 1:14:27some point. So she's like, I'm gonna go get
- 1:14:29it. The brothers come sneak up on
- 1:14:31Bridget and Kenya and they grab Bridget and stab Kenya.
- 1:14:36And when Sarah comes back, she's like, let me tie a tourniquet to
- 1:14:38your arm and then I'm gonna go look for Bridget.
- 1:14:41And Bridget is just being sanded to death by the belts under the
- 1:14:45snowmobile. It's gnarly.
- 1:14:48It is a pretty good kill, yeah, so it's just.
- 1:14:51So much blood. So much blood.
- 1:14:53So just Sarah and Kenya. I don't know how much time has
- 1:14:57passed but like sometime has passed.
- 1:14:58It looks like it's probably the next morning.
- 1:15:00Yeah, we've apparently made a plan.
- 1:15:03Yes. So we see Lauren has frozen to
- 1:15:05death, ironically close to the road.
- 1:15:07Yeah. And that's why I think she died
- 1:15:09the night before because she is like fully frozen over.
- 1:15:12OK, Very like Jack Torrance. OK.
- 1:15:17Yeah, you're right. Kenya is like running through
- 1:15:19the snow. And it seems like she's alone.
- 1:15:21And she's like saying, somebody help, please help.
- 1:15:24Sarah, where are you? A snowmobile approaches.
- 1:15:27And guess what? Sarah was in hiding.
- 1:15:29And she hits the driver, knocks him off the snowmobile.
- 1:15:31And they take the snowmobile. And we've got this beautiful,
- 1:15:34like, slow, victorious music as the sun is rising and these
- 1:15:38friends are riding through the snow.
- 1:15:39And it's a nice, beautiful moment and you feel very
- 1:15:42hopeful. And then Kenny goes no.
- 1:15:44And then they are both beheaded. Yeah, it's like, it's so abrupt.
- 1:15:48Yeah, it's shocking, honestly. It's it's crazy how it just so
- 1:15:53yeah, the snowmobile keeps driving and we see the truck,
- 1:15:57truck, truck, truck pulls up. He's the tow truck.
- 1:16:01Yeah, three finger grabs their heads.
- 1:16:04Yep. Grabs their heads, puts them in
- 1:16:06the truck, Truck on a stays. Work.
- 1:16:08He's got the bodies. They're about to make some heads
- 1:16:10do. And a song called Wrong Turn.
- 1:16:13Yeah, the credits. They lean full into the wrong
- 1:16:17turn, yeah. That's what you got to do with
- 1:16:19this franchise, yeah. You got you got to lean into it.
- 1:16:22Fuck it, man. I love this movie.
- 1:16:24I'm fucking 9 fucking 9. Nine.
- 1:16:27OK, fuck yeah. Let's do nine series. 9.
- 1:16:30Series. So, Talia.
- 1:16:33Oh boy, Talia. We were getting ready to watch
- 1:16:35the movie. Talia was getting very hyped.
- 1:16:38She was playing with toys and Travis said Are you ready to
- 1:16:41watch? Wrong Turn 4.
- 1:16:42Except the problem was that she was mid yon when he said that
- 1:16:44and she smashed her mouth shut. No, it was very slow, actually.
- 1:16:49It was like she was getting ready to do the yon.
- 1:16:51She's like, and then she like right before she got to the peak
- 1:16:55of it, it just kind of died and she just slowly.
- 1:16:57No, She swallowed it back in because you were like, Are you
- 1:17:01ready to watch some fucking wrong Turn 4?
- 1:17:02And you know she did watch it. She is.
- 1:17:05Because there's a lot of snow. She loves snow.
- 1:17:07Not before going out to. Our actual snow.
- 1:17:10Yeah, like, many times. It was very, We forgot to
- 1:17:12mention, we watched this as it was snowing outside.
- 1:17:14Yeah, it was very immersive. Yeah.
- 1:17:16I felt like Declan did that for us.
- 1:17:17Yeah, Like, yeah. To have this as an immersive
- 1:17:20experience. Yeah, that was a way to honor
- 1:17:22him on the anniversary of his death.
- 1:17:24Yeah, we did toast to him, so. Yeah, man.
- 1:17:28So I think Taya gives it a nine. Taya likes.
- 1:17:30It, yeah. And Zoe watched.
- 1:17:33She was in and out. It was kind of weird.
- 1:17:35I'd say she was almost half and half.
- 1:17:37So like it was just, yeah, it's a little bit weird for her.
- 1:17:41She was in weird, weird place with it, with everything last
- 1:17:44night. All right.
- 1:17:46So who did you relate to? Hmm.
- 1:17:50Who did I relate to? I guess I probably related to
- 1:18:00Lauren because I also sleep with my hair braided.
- 1:18:04And you freeze to death all the time.
- 1:18:06All the time. I'm not the strongest skier, and
- 1:18:10I also can't light a fire on my own, but I do braid my hair, so
- 1:18:14that's who I'm gonna relate to. She's.
- 1:18:16The one that had pigtails, right?
- 1:18:17Yeah, those pigtails look nice. It was nice on you, too.
- 1:18:21I related to Daniel because I would be stressed out about my
- 1:18:26car getting towed just like he was at the beginning of the
- 1:18:28movie. All right, Dream sequel.
- 1:18:33So we've already set it up. So we're gonna do a mockumentary
- 1:18:37of Wrong Turn. It's going to follow the
- 1:18:40hillbillies. I don't want it to be about the
- 1:18:42cannibalism, I just want the rest of their everyday life.
- 1:18:45Just a day-to-day, like they're the cannibalism is happening as
- 1:18:50they're there, but it's not the focus.
- 1:18:51I want to see them like making repairs to their home and like
- 1:18:56studying automobile mechanics and.
- 1:18:59Maybe one of us is going to trade school.
- 1:19:01I want to see three fingers shaving his face with like, I
- 1:19:05don't know, like his own fingernail shaving or some of
- 1:19:08those extra sharp. It's like the dudes tooth.
- 1:19:11Yeah, that's how he shaved. That's why Sawtooth is the only
- 1:19:14one with a beard. Yeah.
- 1:19:16My God, it's coming together. Yeah.
- 1:19:18Honestly, yeah. This would be like a great
- 1:19:21mockumentary slasher right there.
- 1:19:23You gotta get some killing in the.
- 1:19:24Yeah, but just in a very non consequential kind of way.
- 1:19:29Like it's just the thing that happens.
- 1:19:31Yeah, we gotta eat. I feel like they make pelts out
- 1:19:35of the people and they sell it at a flea market.
- 1:19:38Yes, dude. Yeah, I wanna see them at the
- 1:19:41farmer's market. It's gonna happen, Yeah.
- 1:19:44We gotta make this thing. And they interview some random
- 1:19:47person who always comes to the farmer's market and they're
- 1:19:49like, yeah, everybody kinda you don't make eye contact at the
- 1:19:52booth because if you do, you have to buy something and we
- 1:19:55don't know what their jackets are made of.
- 1:19:57It is a weird leather. I've tried haggling with those
- 1:20:01guys, but they don't even like speak.
- 1:20:05They just kind of like giggle and yell at me and like, I just
- 1:20:08kind of like give them some money and they're generally
- 1:20:11happy with that experience. Yes, yeah.
- 1:20:14Yeah, all right. So we need to haggling.
- 1:20:18He came up with one last night but I can't remember what it
- 1:20:20was. I can't remember what it was
- 1:20:22either. Oh, fight and fright and freeze.
- 1:20:27Fight and fright and. Freeze no fight and flight and
- 1:20:29freeze. Fight and flight and freeze.
- 1:20:31Because they did all of those. They did, yeah.
- 1:20:33And they. Were confronted with an
- 1:20:34emergency. They fought.
- 1:20:35They froze. They fled.
- 1:20:38I'm. Gonna do a check box.
- 1:20:40Yeah, all of those. Flight freeze, yes.
- 1:20:43All right, cool. OK, so time for reviews.
- 1:20:47OK. So I went with AI, went a
- 1:20:52different route this time. I went with the blu-ray.com
- 1:20:55review 'cause they actually give the actual movie reviews for all
- 1:20:59their Blu rays. OK, OK, so this is what they
- 1:21:02say. Wrong.
- 1:21:03Turn 4 is so mechanically prescribed, worthless, and
- 1:21:06devoid of originality that it makes the Sorority Row remake
- 1:21:10look like Roman Polanski repulsion in comparison.
- 1:21:13Love the sorority row. Remake I do, too.
- 1:21:16Part of the audience for this type of shit, apparently.
- 1:21:18At least wrong. Turn Three had a plot.
- 1:21:20An extraordinarily stupid one, but a plot nonetheless.
- 1:21:24Various bloody beginnings is just another excuse to see horny
- 1:21:27young adults mutilated and murdered in increasingly
- 1:21:29creative ways. That's why.
- 1:21:31You come to these. Movies.
- 1:21:32I know. It gets better.
- 1:21:36I'm all I'm almost surprised these kinds of films haven't
- 1:21:39gone the porn route, dispensing with a story altogether and
- 1:21:43getting straight to the good stuff.
- 1:21:45Granted, there are some pretty gruesome kills here, if that's
- 1:21:47your thing. Drill impalements?
- 1:21:49Barbed wire decapitations? A flesh fondue party, but good
- 1:21:53gore does not a good movie make. Dude, I wanna watch the 2V
- 1:21:57original movie Flesh Fondue Party.
- 1:22:00Continue another movie. We gotta make that movie too,
- 1:22:04All right? And to cap off the whole, that
- 1:22:07was just part of the movie. But to cap off like the Blu-ray
- 1:22:09everything extras, they say. How and why are more Wrong Turn
- 1:22:15films being made? I have no idea, but hopefully
- 1:22:17the franchise ends here. Although Bloody Beginnings
- 1:22:20probably isn't the worst entry in the series, that honor goes
- 1:22:23to Part 3. It's hardly worth recommending
- 1:22:25to any besides the most undiscriminating horror fans,
- 1:22:29you can certainly do better for pre Halloween entertainment
- 1:22:31unless you're some kind of Wrong turn apologist, and a few of
- 1:22:35those do exist in the wild, Avoid this one at all costs.
- 1:22:40I feel called out, but I also feel a strange kinship because
- 1:22:43he also doesn't like Part 3. I I'm the apologist.
- 1:22:47I'm the person I felt called out by that right there, 'cause I'm
- 1:22:49the one that's like, you know what?
- 1:22:50Wrong turn. All good.
- 1:22:52Like they're all entertaining in their own right, except for,
- 1:22:54like, the waiter few ones. But he gave the overall rating
- 1:22:59for the Blu-ray, the movie and video sound, everything.
- 1:23:03Two out of five, but the video and sound was good.
- 1:23:07That's. A four out of 10.
- 1:23:08Yeah, the the extras kind of wack in there.
- 1:23:11And he just hated the movie. So yeah, OK, two out of five.
- 1:23:15Not too bad. That makes me feel better that
- 1:23:17we just have a digital copy instead of the actual DVD, since
- 1:23:22it sounds like they weren't a lot of fit.
- 1:23:23No, it's about the same. That's on our DVDs.
- 1:23:26I I looked at what he had. I think this guy just kind of
- 1:23:28hates the fucking movie, honestly.
- 1:23:30It's unfortunate. It is unfortunate because those
- 1:23:32are the things I do like you said, like that's the things
- 1:23:35that I enjoy, like. I honestly like watching this.
- 1:23:38I've always loved this one. Watching it for the show made me
- 1:23:41love it even more and it made me have like it.
- 1:23:45This is how we discovered Declan O'Brien had passed.
- 1:23:48Because I was like, I want to learn more about who this man is
- 1:23:53after. Like taking all these notes.
- 1:23:54I was like, I feel like he definitely is a horror nerd.
- 1:23:58And I also wondered if maybe he was like LGBT in some way.
- 1:24:05Yeah, just I he kept all women at the end and he had lesbians
- 1:24:11in a way that wasn't more fetishes than the rest of the
- 1:24:14sex scenes in this movie. And he was just like, I don't
- 1:24:16know, maybe he just is. And so I went to look it up and
- 1:24:18that's when we discovered he had passed and.
- 1:24:21Yeah, he seemed like a good dude.
- 1:24:24Yeah. So it's yeah, I yeah, we're
- 1:24:27just. I guess we're just wrong.
- 1:24:29Turn apologists. We are that's.
- 1:24:30Us some of it, anyway. OK.
- 1:24:32Well, let's see if we got any more out there.
- 1:24:34I was going somewhere else with that, I can't remember where.
- 1:24:37It's all good. All right, let's go to the
- 1:24:39listener reviews. OK, so First off, we have Tyler
- 1:24:42over on Twitter. Tyler says this movie was so
- 1:24:45stupid and fun. Lots of dumb characters in it
- 1:24:47who make questionable choices, but I love that.
- 1:24:50Love the lesbian representation as well, even though it was over
- 1:24:54sexual at times, they were a real couple.
- 1:24:56We'll have a winter slash or two.
- 1:24:57The ending was evil. So yeah, he's like, straight up.
- 1:25:01Everything. All of my points.
- 1:25:03We've got winter. We've got a bummer ending.
- 1:25:06We've got lesbians. I love all of those.
- 1:25:09Things. It was all fantastic.
- 1:25:10I like all of those things, too. All right, over on Instagram we
- 1:25:15have JW Crump of Pod Weedom. I bet he loves this movie.
- 1:25:21JW says there are some surprisingly interesting shots
- 1:25:25in this. That's all I said there, that's
- 1:25:26all you said. OK, there's more, I replied,
- 1:25:29saying I definitely noticed that during our watch, too.
- 1:25:31It's. I said it's pretty well put
- 1:25:33together, all the things considered.
- 1:25:36And then he said, like, it's bad, but it's Hey, we tried bad.
- 1:25:41OK. Well, yeah.
- 1:25:43I see. I can see JW enjoying this one
- 1:25:45just from like our experiences with.
- 1:25:47Him. Yeah.
- 1:25:47And like things I've heard him say on their show and
- 1:25:50everything. It sounds like he generally
- 1:25:52likes the same vein of movies. Yeah, so.
- 1:25:55And final review is Cube saves. Who says we need more?
- 1:25:59We need more good snowy horror movies?
- 1:26:01This one gets a pass. I do think that this one's a
- 1:26:04good one, cuz it's like it doesn't feel contrived to be
- 1:26:10like we want to set this in snow, so how do we set it in
- 1:26:13snow? Even though it is kind of what
- 1:26:15they're going for with it? It just feels very like this is
- 1:26:18an element that we're dealing with on top of all the rest of
- 1:26:20the shit, which is a it's a big thing with the wrong turn
- 1:26:24movies. It's that you've got some other
- 1:26:26element of survival happening and also cannibals.
- 1:26:32Yeah, exactly. Yeah.
- 1:26:33Like it's it's the reason why they're stuck there mostly.
- 1:26:36But you know, Yeah, like it plays a big part.
- 1:26:38Yeah, it's part of the atmosphere.
- 1:26:39It's nice movie, has a great atmosphere all around.
- 1:26:42Yes. OK, so that's it for the
- 1:26:45reviews, which means that is it for this week's episode.
- 1:26:47OK, so next week we are Saw 3D. Part of the original end of the
- 1:26:53series. And for a budget tier patrons
- 1:26:56scream Queens 2 Review. That's right.
- 1:26:58Yeah. Not sure exactly when that'll be
- 1:26:59out. Some point next week, yeah.
- 1:27:01We'll get it. Yeah, and oh, to watch Saw 3D
- 1:27:06once again, I'm implore you just buy the whole fucking 52 pack at
- 1:27:11Walmart for $6 and a penny. Just they're selling them now
- 1:27:14with Saw X in them now too, so you can get all of them out
- 1:27:18there. But if you don't want to do that
- 1:27:20for whatever reason, we have a really cool case once again from
- 1:27:24the closure of blockbusters. But it is a really cool case.
- 1:27:30You can currently watch it by renting it.
- 1:27:34So you're gonna pay for this movie one way or the other?
- 1:27:36Yeah, No. No, it's for free on some
- 1:27:38places. I just have YouTube, Google
- 1:27:40Play, Voodoo and Prime all rentals.
- 1:27:42It's on the Roku channel. Oh, OK.
- 1:27:44So if you have a Roku, you can watch it on the Roku channel.
- 1:27:46I don't know if Roku channel is available on non Roku devices.
- 1:27:50I would assume not. DIRECTV is also one and stars on
- 1:27:53Apple TV. OK, so things that you have to
- 1:27:57pay extra money for. Yeah, unless you have a Roku,
- 1:28:00you know, then that's or DIRECTV, which I don't know many
- 1:28:04people that actually have DIRECTV anymore.
- 1:28:06All right, So watch it there, catch up with us.
- 1:28:09We will be having a good time talking about that.
- 1:28:12Yes. And if you think that we're
- 1:28:15going to apologize for Saw 3D, you are absolutely correct.
- 1:28:19Got another thing in common? We we either love the shit that
- 1:28:23we love or. Crazy.
- 1:28:25Crazy. Crazy.
- 1:28:28Yeah, it's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 1:28:30I can't wait for it. Yeah.
- 1:28:32So. All right, we got that.
- 1:28:34Yeah. All right.
- 1:28:35Thanks. For our patrons, we've got Joe
- 1:28:38Freakatron, as is his name. See you tomorrow, bud.
- 1:28:40Yeah. Amber and Michael, thank you
- 1:28:43guys so much for supporting the show financially.
- 1:28:45It helps us get equipment, helps us keep the lights on.

- 1:29:47occasionally. If you're thinking of starting
- 1:29:49your own podcast, choose a fucking shorter name.
- 1:29:51Yeah, that is the advice I give everybody.
- 1:29:55Yeah, choose a fucking short name.
- 1:29:56We're too far into it at this point to change it.
- 1:29:59We branded hard early on. Take our wisdom.
- 1:30:02Yeah. Yep.
- 1:30:03OK, cool. All right.
- 1:30:04We'll we'll see you guys next week.
- 1:30:06Yep. All right.
- 1:30:06Bye. Sorry, that was just a yawn.
- 1:30:21No, I know you're good.
