- 0:00Speaker 1: Fly from Midtown Manhattan. Here comes the Mark Simone Show
- 0:05Speaker 1: on seven TENR.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Well, hey, thank got it. Friday, we got a lot
- 0:13Speaker 2: to get to Today. It's going to be a beautiful,
- 0:15Speaker 2: a little hot, ninety degree sunny day. Same thing tomorrow.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Although there was a forecast of a lot of thunderstorms
- 0:22Speaker 2: on Sunday, it looks like that's changing a little. It
- 0:25Speaker 2: looks like now it's a passing thunderstorm on Sunday. So
- 0:28Speaker 2: it should be a great weekend. We'll get to crazy
- 0:31Speaker 2: Scott Pelley, We'll get to Pratt Platner, We'll get to
- 0:35Speaker 2: Biden in town. We'll get to a crazy mayor, Mom,
- 0:38Speaker 2: Donnie and the Arch, and a whole lot more. Of course,
- 0:42Speaker 2: the Knicks tonight, big game tonight, that's San Antonio. Then
- 0:46Speaker 2: they come back here and they play in New York
- 0:49Speaker 2: Monday night. It will be a big, big game Monday night.
- 0:54Speaker 2: President Trump will be here, so it'd be a security nightmare.
- 0:57Speaker 2: Traffic wise, it'll be a mess Monday night, Trump, President
- 1:01Speaker 2: Trump coming in for the next game. He'll sit turns
- 1:04Speaker 2: out now in the owner's box, the suite with Jim
- 1:08Speaker 2: Dolan and some others will be there. Bruce Blakeman and
- 1:12Speaker 2: some other people. Mom Donnie is coming to the game.
- 1:15Speaker 2: He makes it clear he will not be in the
- 1:17Speaker 2: owner's suite. He will be somewhere in the stands. He
- 1:20Speaker 2: claims he's paid for the ticket, which means the campaign
- 1:25Speaker 2: paid for the ticket, since he has no income, has
- 1:28Speaker 2: never had a job. But he'll be there. And then
- 1:32Speaker 2: if you go online and try to get a ticket
- 1:34Speaker 2: for this Monday night game at the Garden, I think
- 1:37Speaker 2: the cheapest ticket resale is now like two hundred and
- 1:40Speaker 2: eighty five thousand dollars. Absolutely preposterous. President Trump yesterday, I'm
- 1:46Speaker 2: going to the next game.
- 1:47Speaker 1: I've been a Nick fan for a long time, and
- 1:49Speaker 1: I'm also a Jim Dolan fan.
- 1:51Speaker 2: He's a nice guy.
- 1:52Speaker 1: Okay, He's been a long time wanting to win, and
- 1:55Speaker 1: he's he's a competitive guy, and he's got a team
- 1:57Speaker 1: that's amazing.
- 1:58Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't think Kathy Hope will be there because
- 2:00Speaker 2: it'd be the first time she ever went to a
- 2:01Speaker 2: Knicks game. She tried to imply President Trump was not
- 2:04Speaker 2: a Knicks fan, although people quickly went online and found
- 2:08Speaker 2: many thousands of pictures of him sitting at the front
- 2:12Speaker 2: row of the Knicks through the years, all constantly for
- 2:15Speaker 2: like thirty forty years. He really is a big Knicks fan.
- 2:19Speaker 2: And remember he put them on the Apprentice. He's a
- 2:21Speaker 2: big Knicks fan. So he'll be there Monday night. It'll
- 2:25Speaker 2: be a big, big moment in New York. If you've
- 2:27Speaker 2: been walking around New York, you'll notice there are all
- 2:31Speaker 2: the bagel places now have orange, orange and blue bagels. Donuts,
- 2:37Speaker 2: orange and blue donuts are everywhere. It's Knicks fever everywhere
- 2:41Speaker 2: in New York. Hey, President Trump has he's appointed this guy,
- 2:48Speaker 2: Bruce Poulty as the acting Director of National Intelligence. Now,
- 2:53Speaker 2: as we keep telling you, he's not going to be
- 2:55Speaker 2: the Director of National Intelligence. This is just temporary until
- 2:59Speaker 2: they and he did this last time first term, just
- 3:02Speaker 2: threw somebody in there temporarily till he found who he wanted,
- 3:06Speaker 2: which ended up being John Ratcliffe. So and you know,
- 3:09Speaker 2: this Paulty doesn't look very qualified for Director of National Intelligence.
- 3:13Speaker 2: President asked about that yesterday. It's an acting position, it's
- 3:16Speaker 2: not apartment. He's not going to be permanent, because you know,
- 3:19Speaker 2: I don't think he'd want to be permanent.
- 3:20Speaker 3: But he's a very smart guy and he may find
- 3:22Speaker 3: as some things about the rigged elections, et cetera.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Et cetera. Yeah, he's a very smart guy. He's one
- 3:28Speaker 2: run Fanny and Freddie and all sorts of He's very
- 3:31Speaker 2: good at going into one of these big systems and
- 3:34Speaker 2: finding some flaws or some things that shouldn't be there.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So that's one reason he wants to go They want
- 3:41Speaker 2: he Trump wants him to go in. He's like sending
- 3:43Speaker 2: an auditor in the check things. He's gonna check out
- 3:48Speaker 2: the intelligence community, what they're hiding, what they're not doing,
- 3:50Speaker 2: what they should be doing, what they're doing, that they
- 3:52Speaker 2: shouldn't be doing, that kind of stuff. Although it's it's
- 3:55Speaker 2: the CIA, it's the intelligence people imagine they're pretty good
- 3:58Speaker 2: at covering stuff up, but he's pretty good at finding it.
- 4:01Speaker 2: So that's why he's there till they appoint somebody. President
- 4:04Speaker 2: wants better stuff coming from the intelligence community. You can't
- 4:09Speaker 2: trust them, as many presidents from Kennedy to Bush learned,
- 4:14Speaker 2: you can't trust him on everything. John Bolton will pay
- 4:19Speaker 2: a two and a two point two five million dollars fine,
- 4:24Speaker 2: he's agreed to that. You know, Bolton, if you go
- 4:27Speaker 2: back to last year, all you heard about was this
- 4:29Speaker 2: is a weaponization of the Justice Department retribution. He's been
- 4:34Speaker 2: targeted for being a critic of the president. Well, it
- 4:36Speaker 2: turns out he's absolutely one thousand percent guilty. He's admitted
- 4:42Speaker 2: that he's totally guilty. One of the reasons he pled guilty.
- 4:45Speaker 2: He's facing like eight eight counts that could send him
- 4:49Speaker 2: to jail for a long time. So to get rid
- 4:52Speaker 2: of that, he agreed to plead guilty till one count,
- 4:56Speaker 2: where the maximum prison term would be five years. He's
- 4:58Speaker 2: agreed one count, he'll pay the big fine. Still, a
- 5:03Speaker 2: judge could still send him to prison. But if you
- 5:06Speaker 2: go back to last year, you'll see everybody, including him,
- 5:10Speaker 2: all over television saying these are false charges. They're just
- 5:13Speaker 2: weaponizing the Justice Department. They're just out to get them.
- 5:16Speaker 2: And then if you go back to when Trump mar
- 5:20Speaker 2: a Lago was rated the document's case, you'll see video
- 5:25Speaker 2: of Bolton all over television saying President Trump, Donald Trump
- 5:29Speaker 2: must go to jail for having those documents. He must
- 5:33Speaker 2: go to jail. So Bolton obviously regretting those videos. In fact,
- 5:38Speaker 2: the prosecutor could play that for the judge where Bolton
- 5:41Speaker 2: on television says you've got to go to jail for
- 5:43Speaker 2: having classified documents. You got to give the guy credit
- 5:47Speaker 2: for Hutzbud Oliver Television saying that when he knows at
- 5:51Speaker 2: home on his computer, he's got tons of classified documents
- 5:55Speaker 2: sitting there. Not only that, but he shared him with
- 5:57Speaker 2: his family. Obviously they have no clearance to look at
- 6:01Speaker 2: this stuff. He was a hundred percent guilty. Hey, and
- 6:04Speaker 2: a lot of people pointing out that what he's gonna
- 6:07Speaker 2: get convicted of and possibly go to jail for and
- 6:11Speaker 2: definitely pay a huge fine is exactly what Hillary Clinton
- 6:16Speaker 2: got caught doing, storing classified documents on her home computers.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Totally illegal. This is what Hillary Clinton did. This is
- 6:25Speaker 2: what she should have been convicted of. But the dirty
- 6:29Speaker 2: cop James Komby, remember he held that fake press conference
- 6:32Speaker 2: where he said no reasonable prosecutor would bring such a charge. Well,
- 6:37Speaker 2: there was never any truth to that. It was a
- 6:38Speaker 2: total lie. It was Komy at his dirtiest, you know,
- 6:44Speaker 2: letting Hillary off the hook. Now, it's definitely a crime.
- 6:49Speaker 2: Hillary should have been charged with it. Any reasonable prosecutor
- 6:54Speaker 2: would bring the charge. And here's the real point. These
- 6:58Speaker 2: charges against Bolton began under the Biden Justice Department. It
- 7:03Speaker 2: was the Biden Justice Department that opened up this case.
- 7:06Speaker 2: It was the Biden Justice Department that began this process,
- 7:10Speaker 2: So it's a Biden case originally. Hey, speaking of Crazy Joe.
- 7:15Speaker 2: He and Jill are in town for the book tour
- 7:18Speaker 2: of this horrible book. It's the if you read the book,
- 7:21Speaker 2: it's just boring, shallow, empty, dull. In other words, it
- 7:29Speaker 2: captures her perfectly. It's really hering. There's nothing in the book.
- 7:34Speaker 2: You know, when anybody's on a book tour and they're
- 7:36Speaker 2: doing all these TV shows, all these interviews about the book,
- 7:40Speaker 2: what they do is in the interviews they give you
- 7:42Speaker 2: some juicy tidbits from the book or wow, and they
- 7:45Speaker 2: tell you a story in the book and the host is,
- 7:47Speaker 2: oh my, wow. You notice there hasn't been one of
- 7:51Speaker 2: those from Jill Biden because there aren't any. There's no highlights,
- 7:54Speaker 2: there's no juicy things in the book. Nothing. So in
- 7:57Speaker 2: four hundred interviews, she has yet to reveal anything of interest.
- 8:01Speaker 2: Even the publisher, you know, usually the publisher puts out
- 8:03Speaker 2: some stuff. You know, hey, here's what's in the book.
- 8:06Speaker 2: There's nothing, absolutely nothing. So they run around New York
- 8:11Speaker 2: doing interviews with a caravan of SUVs seven eight big
- 8:17Speaker 2: you had, you know, these big big those black secret
- 8:21Speaker 2: service kind of cars pull up and the bidens that
- 8:26Speaker 2: travel all over the place in New York. They did
- 8:27Speaker 2: go to dinner last night. They were supposed to go.
- 8:32Speaker 2: The word was they were going to Elios. Now on
- 8:34Speaker 2: the Upper East Side, there's a little circuit of the
- 8:37Speaker 2: top Italian restaurants. There's Elos, there's Promola, and there's Nicola's.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Nicola's is the best of the bunch, especially food wise,
- 8:46Speaker 2: it's the best, one of the best Italian restaurants in
- 8:49Speaker 2: New York. Elio's very popular, but with the wrong people,
- 8:52Speaker 2: you know, Nicolas. You go in there, you get the
- 8:54Speaker 2: top CEOs, the tough business people. Elos is Donny Deutsch
- 8:59Speaker 2: and that sort of It's like a lot of media.
- 9:03Speaker 2: There's a lot of Donny Deutsch's in there. So the
- 9:05Speaker 2: word was Biden was going to go to Elio's last night.
- 9:08Speaker 2: So a lot of people showed up. Donny Deutsch, Martha Stewart,
- 9:13Speaker 2: all these celebrities are sitting there waiting for Joe Biden.
- 9:17Speaker 2: He fooled everybody and he went to the restaurant FuMO,
- 9:21Speaker 2: which nothing wrong with it, but it's kind of a
- 9:23Speaker 2: nothing place. It's a little tiny, it doesn't look like much.
- 9:26Speaker 2: It's not Nicolas, it's not ELO's or Promola. Doesn't look
- 9:30Speaker 2: like that Fumos. If you walk by, you just kind
- 9:32Speaker 2: of look at it and not even think about going.
- 9:34Speaker 2: And somehow Biden ended up there some speculation that Biden
- 9:40Speaker 2: just got lost and mistaken and thought he was in
- 9:42Speaker 2: Ilios Ilio's saying they really didn't ever think he was coming.
- 9:47Speaker 2: But hopefully this is it and the Bidens will leave
- 9:50Speaker 2: town today and get the hell out of here. Hey,
- 9:54Speaker 2: you know about the arch, This is going to be
- 9:56Speaker 2: the next big thing. The ballroom fight and all that,
- 10:00Speaker 2: and then the Democrats and the liberals, the media have
- 10:03Speaker 2: been fighting about the reflecting pool. They don't like what
- 10:06Speaker 2: Trump did to it. He fixed it. It was a
- 10:08Speaker 2: total disaster, leaking a mess. He fixed it. It's now
- 10:13Speaker 2: working perfectly. But they don't like the color heat the
- 10:15Speaker 2: blue that he used. So that was a big fight,
- 10:18Speaker 2: but it didn't catch on. Public couldn't care less about this.
- 10:22Speaker 2: So the next big fight will be the arch. He
- 10:25Speaker 2: wants to put in a massive arch in Washington, DC,
- 10:29Speaker 2: you know, like the Arcta triumphan in Paris, that beautiful
- 10:33Speaker 2: arch where all the big boulevards come together, that circle,
- 10:36Speaker 2: and then Washington Square Park you got a little version
- 10:40Speaker 2: of it. You got that arch. So Trump wants to
- 10:42Speaker 2: build one of those in Washington, d C. As you
- 10:45Speaker 2: head towards the Potomac, and it looks beautiful. I mean,
- 10:50Speaker 2: maybe a little too much gold on it, but it
- 10:52Speaker 2: looks beautiful. It looks spectacular. He's the greatest builder in America,
- 10:57Speaker 2: so he'll get it done. So if you're on only
- 10:59Speaker 2: those left wing sites, the Blue Sky, the left wing
- 11:03Speaker 2: Facebook people, they are all yelling and screaming about the arch.
- 11:06Speaker 2: It blocks the view of Arlington. I don't know, but
- 11:11Speaker 2: it stops there to look at Arlington, and actually with
- 11:13Speaker 2: the arch, people will most likely get out and walk
- 11:16Speaker 2: around that circle and they'll have the view. Doug Bergham testifying,
- 11:21Speaker 2: had to defend the arch.
- 11:22Speaker 1: There's a very large circle. It was designed to hold
- 11:24Speaker 1: a monument. The arc that would go there is a
- 11:29Speaker 1: fantastic compliment and completion of this plan that's over one
- 11:32Speaker 1: hundred and twenty years ago.
- 11:34Speaker 2: Yeah. No, it looks beautiful. Maybe a little touch cold,
- 11:37Speaker 2: but it looks beautiful.
- 11:39Speaker 1: People come from around the world. They don't know that
- 11:41Speaker 1: one hundred yards away is the beautiful Potomac River, which
- 11:44Speaker 1: was part of the original plan. And now they didn't
- 11:46Speaker 1: be able to walk around the Lincoln Memorial, walk on
- 11:48Speaker 1: a pedestrian bridge, over the first highway, walk over the
- 11:51Speaker 1: next one, and right down to the water.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it'll be beautiful. But Democrats love to yell and
- 11:58Speaker 2: scream about any thing they ken, So had that crazy
- 12:02Speaker 2: Scott Pelley, he put out this letter to everybody. I
- 12:07Speaker 2: still think CBS should sue him. He really should get
- 12:10Speaker 2: sued over this. He accuses him of all kinds of nonsense.
- 12:13Speaker 2: He claims he was ordered he was told to put
- 12:16Speaker 2: fake things into stories. He was told to put false
- 12:20Speaker 2: assertations into stories, put false information into stories. Now the
- 12:25Speaker 2: real truth. That's why the should sueme to have this
- 12:27Speaker 2: all come out. All he was told to do was
- 12:30Speaker 2: when he was doing one of those hit pieces. When
- 12:32Speaker 2: he was doing one of those hatchet jobs, he was told, hey,
- 12:35Speaker 2: you got to put in a response from the other side.
- 12:37Speaker 2: You have to get the other So when he went
- 12:40Speaker 2: vicious attack on the Trump administration, he had to let
- 12:43Speaker 2: them respond and put that in the piece, which is
- 12:45Speaker 2: standard journalism for one hundred years, but to him, that
- 12:49Speaker 2: was putting false assertations in there. Now, look at this,
- 12:52Speaker 2: Katie Kuric all of a sudden jumps into this. Katie
- 12:56Speaker 2: Kuric comes out and says, CBS was absolutely right. Barry
- 13:00Speaker 2: Weiss had no choice, no choice but to fire him.
- 13:05Speaker 2: It was classic definitive insubordination. You had to fire him. Now,
- 13:11Speaker 2: she's a real left winger. Why would she jump in
- 13:14Speaker 2: on this, Well, obviously she'd like to go back to CBS.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Obviously she knows there's going to be a lot of
- 13:20Speaker 2: openings at sixty minutes for correspondence anchors. She'd like to
- 13:24Speaker 2: be one of them. So that's why she's jumping back
- 13:27Speaker 2: in there now. Of course, she was once the anchor
- 13:30Speaker 2: of the CBS Evening News paid her of fortune to
- 13:33Speaker 2: get her away from NBC. It didn't do well, it
- 13:36Speaker 2: wasn't great. Now, the one reason she could be hired
- 13:40Speaker 2: there is she was always known, you know the Today
- 13:43Speaker 2: Show years as kind of a neutral, non political kind
- 13:47Speaker 2: of a person. However, in the last year she's gone
- 13:51Speaker 2: very left wing and really lashed out at Trump and
- 13:55Speaker 2: that kind of stuff all over podcasts in every place.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So now maybe that was the Curry favored with the
- 14:01Speaker 2: left and didn't work. They left, didn't have much interest.
- 14:04Speaker 2: And now maybe she's trying to go back the other way.
- 14:06Speaker 2: But you left a paper trail of comments that might
- 14:11Speaker 2: make them think you're not so objective. Hey, if you're
- 14:14Speaker 2: a Democrat or a liberal, you might want to cover
- 14:16Speaker 2: your ears from it. It's very bad news for you.
- 14:19Speaker 2: And it was a very sad day for CNBC. They
- 14:22Speaker 2: had to report the new jobs numbers job's numbers coming
- 14:25Speaker 2: out this morning. They were not only good, they were spectacular.
- 14:29Speaker 2: They were double double what was expected one hundred and
- 14:33Speaker 2: seventy two thousand new jobs in the month. Not twenty
- 14:37Speaker 2: percent better than expected, one hundred percent better. Literally double.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Unemployment rate remains four point three. That is considered full employment,
- 14:47Speaker 2: very good news for the economy. Don't tell Elizabeth Warren
- 14:51Speaker 2: about that, you know, whenever she's asked about Platner, she
- 14:55Speaker 2: changes the subject about how bad everything Everything is bad.
- 14:57Speaker 2: To Elizabeth Warren, I do.
- 14:59Speaker 3: You worry about war coming out about his past?
- 15:01Speaker 2: That could damage his chances.
- 15:02Speaker 3: What I'm worried about is another day of war in iranizations.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Are these accusations disturbing to you?
- 15:10Speaker 3: What is disturbing to me is what's happening in this
- 15:14Speaker 3: economy and how right now the Republicans just sign off
- 15:18Speaker 3: on it.
- 15:18Speaker 2: Yeah, what is happening in this disastrous economy? This is
- 15:21Speaker 2: all over, these sort of things all over CNN, MSNBC,
- 15:25Speaker 2: the disastrous economy, and the Liberals have all convinced themselves
- 15:29Speaker 2: there's problems in the economy. Every economic number, every economic
- 15:33Speaker 2: metric is great right now, except for gas prices. They're
- 15:36Speaker 2: a little higher, nowhere near the Biden levels, but they're
- 15:40Speaker 2: a little higher, and that'll come down. But otherwise the
- 15:42Speaker 2: economy is doing very very well. Don't tell her that though. Hey,
- 15:47Speaker 2: we'll take some calls in a moment. Eight hundred three
- 15:49Speaker 2: to two one zero seven ten is the number. Eight
- 15:52Speaker 2: hundred three two one zero seven ten.
