- 0:00Hi everybody, welcome to did that age Well.
- 0:02Whether you're watching on YouTube or listening or watching
- 0:05on Spotify, Apple podcast, wherever you are, we're glad
- 0:08you're here today. I want to start off by giving a
- 0:12shout out to Spider moving in storage sponsor of did that age
- 0:16Well and dude, IDK studios, my guest BK is moving soon.
- 0:22Hello BK. Tell me, what is the part of
- 0:25moving that you hate the most? Probably the moving part, like
- 0:29the moving the stuff you know. For sure, the heavy things and
- 0:33the and the boxes and stuff like that.
- 0:36My least favorite part about moving is the night before when
- 0:39I realized that I actually am gonna have to unpack.
- 0:43Oh yeah, You know what I mean? Like I've packed everything up.
- 0:46And then that, that dread sets in that like, Oh my God, I'm
- 0:51gonna have to deal with this when I get there.
- 0:53You know, I actually think my least favorite part is is having
- 0:55to like get my friends to help me move because like, it's.
- 0:58Like they don't want. To it's the hardest task that
- 1:00friends do. So what I usually do is I'll be
- 1:02like, hey, I'm going to kill myself.
- 1:06And then I get eight people to come over because I send that to
- 1:098 different people, of course. And then all of them show up and
- 1:11I go, just kidding, we're moving to a new apartment.
- 1:14And it's the middle of the night and so there's nobody, they're
- 1:18not doing anything except sleeping.
- 1:20And they think that they need to get their ASAP.
- 1:22And guess what they do yes. And if you want to keep friends,
- 1:26though, maybe you could consider this time hiring spider moving
- 1:31and storage spider with AY 'cause they are professionals
- 1:38and they're not mental health professionals.
- 1:39So I don't think that you're going to be able to use your
- 1:42common strategies, but you shouldn't use my.
- 1:44Strategy and you don't have to with spider moving.
- 1:46Then you don't have to. No one's going to be calling the
- 1:50hospital when you call spider moving and storage because
- 1:53they're just going to do it for you.
- 1:55Moving sucks and they are going to be the top notch lifting all
- 2:02of that heavy stuff. They can also do unpacking and
- 2:05the packing up and the unpacking part that I hate when you.
- 2:09Keep your stuff safe, like if you have like a dresser or
- 2:12something they will wrap it up like a spider, wraps like a
- 2:14family and then they'll keep it safe.
- 2:17And they'll keep it. Oh my God.
- 2:19And that is such a beautiful way to cap off that ad read listener
- 2:25viewer. If you're getting ready to move,
- 2:27just like BK, don't call your friends in the middle of the
- 2:31night. Call spider moving and storage.
- 2:33You could even go to spidermoving.com to get a free
- 2:35quote and go ahead and give him a follow on Instagram at Spider
- 2:40Moving and Storage. Thank you for your support BK.
- 2:43Of course. Of spider moving and storage.

- 3:01yes. That was really fun.
- 3:04That was really fun. All right, well, thank you guys
- 3:07so much for listening. Just kidding.

- 3:35She goes drifting every week, basically everyday sourcing
- 3:40material that's all plus size. And it's truly so high quality
- 3:48and cute. And she puts together the a new
- 3:50edit, which is a personal shopping experience where you
- 3:55send in the types of pieces that you want.
- 3:57You can send in your color season if you know what that is.
- 4:00You send in your measurements. And if you're like, I don't know
- 4:02my measurements, she has a really easy guide for how to do
- 4:05your measurements to find what is going to make you feel happy
- 4:10and confident and save you all the time that it takes to sift
- 4:14through the thrift store trying to find cute stuff.
- 4:17So highly recommend that you follow shop a new collective on
- 4:22Instagram for the twice weekly drops.
- 4:25And you can also find information on the a new edit

- 5:38that'll take your picture if you're going fast in a place and
- 5:42you don't know how fast they want you to go.
- 5:45So that's been happening. So that's yeah.
- 5:47So you know, are you following me on Instagram?
- 5:49Insane Brown posse? It's my Instagram.
- 5:52What else do I have going on? I'm about to wrap up Degrassi a
- 5:55second time. Well, all of it.
- 5:57I've never, I've never watched all the episodes.
- 5:59I've only seen up to like when like, you know, there's the new
- 6:02kids. Right, the next generation.
- 6:04Wow, this is so. Exciting, I know.
- 6:06So I'm about to wrap that up. Wow.
- 6:08I am moving. Shout out Spider.
- 6:11Spider moving. Shout out, where are you moving?
- 6:16I'm just moving from Boulder to Broomfield.
- 6:18Oh OK cool, drop that address docs him.
- 6:20Yeah, I'll drop that address. You'll see me around.
- 6:23There's a choose. OK, maybe I would.
- 6:29But Broomfield, OK. Yeah, there's another part of
- 6:31Colorado. Yep.
- 6:32Excellent. All right, good.
- 6:34What do you have any other shows or anything going on?
- 6:37This will come out in a couple weeks.
- 6:38Yeah, I've got yeah, just show just Instagram just so I just
- 6:41check it out. OK, cool.
- 6:42I'll make you show here. Nick.
- 6:44Is it March 14th? We have it for March 14th.
- 6:51March 14th. I'm running a show here and it
- 6:53might become a monthly show. It's called clip Farming with BK
- 6:56Sherrod. Oh my God.
- 6:57I just tried to get clips for online and that's all it is.
- 7:00It'll be new material, old material, crowd work, crowd
- 7:04sourcing work. Yep, and it's not crowd work
- 7:08when you love your job. Wow.
- 7:10It's friends, work. It's friends.
- 7:12They're not just the crowd. They are my brother I love.
- 7:15That's my favorite part. So yeah.
- 7:16So I'm gonna do that, Yeah. And then cuz I'm gonna do, I'm
- 7:20gonna do an album soon. And then when that's done, I'm
- 7:23gonna do you need me too. Amazing.
- 7:26Yeah, neuter your pets. So true.
- 7:29Yeah, Neuter those cats and dogs.
- 7:31Yeah. And rodents.
- 7:32That's all we can do. All of them.
- 7:33That God, that's all we can. Do it really is all we can do So
- 7:36please neuter your pets if you know one of those guys.
- 7:39Everyone has a guy in their life you know where he's like, he's
- 7:41like I the dog has like giant balls.
- 7:43Yeah. And then it's like aggressive.
- 7:45And that and the balls will look at you in the eye.
- 7:47Yeah, they do, Yeah. And then the dog's all
- 7:49aggressive and he's like flip the dog on its back and he's
- 7:51like, I have to do this. Otherwise it's.
- 7:53Gonna the dog's gonna kill. Everyone, it's like just don't
- 7:55do that. Just neuter your pet.
- 7:56Neuter the dog. Yeah, it's not, not bad.
- 8:00Yeah. Yeah.
- 8:00And they get to be, you know, dogs get to be a little bit
- 8:03loopy afterwards. They like it.
- 8:06Yeah, yeah, don't have sex with a guy whose dog has balls.
- 8:10Oh my God yeah cuz those balls are gonna be in the corner of
- 8:13the room looking at you. Well, I just mean you can make a
- 8:15difference. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:19But also. Logistically, you're correct.
- 8:21That is also part of why. Absolutely.
- 8:23Even if the dog's not in the room.
- 8:24Yeah, you'll you will sense the presence.
- 8:27And feel it does. Yeah, yeah.
- 8:29Yeah, I can tell when a dog's balls are nearby.
- 8:32Same. Yeah, you know the statistic.
- 8:34You eat 8 spiders like a year. It's like that, but I can tell
- 8:39there's dog balls nearby. Absolutely.
- 8:41And I. Hate.
- 8:42It, but we don't have to keep riffing in this way.
- 8:45You could tell me what you want to talk about for your podcast.
- 8:48I just haven't talked to anyone. You know what?
- 8:49We could we could talk about the movie that we're here to.
- 8:52Discuss. Listener.
- 8:54Today we're here to talk about Smart House, the Disney Channel
- 8:57Original Movie, about Pat the personal.
- 9:01What is it Personal applied? Personal applied.
- 9:05Technology, you know. What I realized.
- 9:07You what? What did you realize so?
- 9:09The first time I was on this podcast, first of all, the first
- 9:11time I was on this podcast, I was very mentally unwell.
- 9:14So it's very nice to be back. Oh my God, So better mentally
- 9:17well, more mentally well. I know I did talk about killing
- 9:20myself in an ad read right, but that is progress for me and
- 9:25that. Is then that is progress, yeah.
- 9:27But what I was gonna say is like, the last time I was here
- 9:29was very mentally unwell. So thank you for having me back.
- 9:32Oh my God. I was really mentally unwell
- 9:33too, really. Yeah.
- 9:36Was that when we're outside? Yeah, when?
- 9:37We were outside. I was like. 3.
- 9:40Days off of a of a breakup like the worst breakup of my life
- 9:44yeah I'm. So sorry that's.
- 9:46OK, I was like, you know what? I'm gonna I'm gonna have a
- 9:49really fun time talking about another Disney Channel original
- 9:52movie with my new friend. Well, you know.
- 9:55What's funny is like, so I was living in LA and I was sad.
- 9:57Yeah. And then because how could you
- 9:59not? Be you were living in that.
- 10:00Way well, and then? On top of that, my old friend
- 10:03group walked by while we're outside.
- 10:06That's right. Yeah.
- 10:06And. And like, I was a little sad
- 10:08about that. And because I was like, oh,
- 10:10they're just having a good time while I'm like, living in that
- 10:13lane drowning. And so you're like, oh.
- 10:15That could be me having. Fun with.
- 10:16My friends at a. Festival, yeah.
- 10:18And so the other thing I was going to say is I realized I
- 10:22think after smart house or doing blank check and smart house, I
- 10:26noticed a theme. And I think the theme is that I
- 10:28want to have a house that's. Really.
- 10:32What I really want, and all my favorite movies involve houses,
- 10:35yeah. Absolutely.
- 10:36So yeah, I think that we've really unlocked something,
- 10:39whether you're mentally ill or well or somewhere in between,
- 10:42what you really want deep down as a house.
- 10:45Well, I think it's. I want a house given to me for
- 10:48nothing. Like I don't want to work for
- 10:50the House, of course. Not why would?
- 10:52You. That is what I'm realizing based
- 10:54on these two movies. I want to win one in a
- 10:55sweepstakes and I want a gang gangster guy to run over my
- 11:00bicycle and then me commit fraud.
- 11:02Yeah. To get set house for.
- 11:04Sure. And everything's in cash.
- 11:06Yes, for sure. I actually don't really.
- 11:09OK, so in in the movie Smart House, there's this kid who his
- 11:13name is Ben and he enters a drawing for a house.
- 11:18Well, apparently he enters a bunch of drawings that's like
- 11:21his thing. Multiple.
- 11:22Yeah, multiple entries are also allowed for just this one
- 11:26interesting house. They didn't, they didn't have
- 11:30PAT program any sort of fraud protection.
- 11:34Sure. Sure, sure.
- 11:36But. Thank God, because he did get
- 11:37the house. But I was kind of wondering,
- 11:39like, why is it a contest? We never really get to know why
- 11:44it's a contest for this house. They're just like, it is a house
- 11:48with an AI assistant built in and it's instead of selling it.
- 11:55Yeah. What was the give it?
- 11:57Away it was the. 90s is that's so true happier they were just.
- 12:00Giving houses away and AI. Wasn't terrifying.
- 12:03And making it 80° in January, That's so true.
- 12:07So we were like, well, what could this thing be?
- 12:09You know what's going on, right? They're like, we don't even have
- 12:12to make money, we already have money.
- 12:15Why? Would we sell a house when we
- 12:17already have money? Yeah, but.
- 12:19So he enters all these like Raffles?
- 12:21Yeah, like did. I don't remember if they gave
- 12:23any examples of other ones that he entered because I was
- 12:26curious. Yeah.
- 12:28How many? Raffles there were there's.
- 12:31I wish that like that was still a way that a 13 year old kid
- 12:35could make money, you know what I mean?
- 12:36It's like, yeah, totally. Like just as a like a side gig
- 12:41because he is supporting his family.
- 12:44Ben is the man of the house. I'd say he's.
- 12:47The mom of the house. That's so true.
- 12:49Yeah. Yeah.
- 12:50He is doing the emotional labor, the financial labor.
- 12:55You know, who knows what Dad does?
- 12:57He says. A lot of things that my mom has
- 12:59said to me, yeah, just like you think I want to stay home and
- 13:02cook and clean for you guys. Well, you guys have a great like
- 13:05it's like I remember him saying a couple of those things and I
- 13:08was like, wow, they really gave him some mom dialogue.
- 13:10They. Really.
- 13:10Did they really? They said we're going to have
- 13:14Pat Machine learn from him. Yeah.
- 13:16Yeah. What it's like to be a mom.
- 13:18Yeah. He downloads like, a bunch of,
- 13:21like, programs for the house to learn how to be a mom.
- 13:24Yeah. And so I have a question for
- 13:26you. OK.
- 13:27What's up? Who's?
- 13:27Like your favorite TV mom? Like if you saw ATV mom, you'd
- 13:31want to download into the program so it could be your mom,
- 13:34Lucille. Bluth.
- 13:35How funny would that be? Oh, I was like, you mean Lucille
- 13:38Ball? And I was like, Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 13:40How funny would that be if your AI assistant was an apathetic,
- 13:45rich, out of touch woman? I guess would it be?
- 13:50Practical. No.
- 13:51Who's my actual favorite? Yeah, because.
- 13:53That's the funny one. But would you feel nurtured by
- 13:56you could have as a mom you? Know that's a great question
- 14:00probably. I don't know.
- 14:04Lizzie Mcguire's parents were pretty.
- 14:06Yeah, they're pretty cool. They were really cool.
- 14:09I liked them. They were like.
- 14:10Hippies, you could tell for sure.
- 14:11You know, they like smoked weed together and stuff.
- 14:13Definitely yes. They're always chill and they're
- 14:16like, yeah, they're invested in their kids totally.
- 14:18Who are their? Moms, I feel like my mom was so
- 14:25intense and, like, helicoptery. Yeah, I'd love a mom that like
- 14:28was kind of not paying attention any.
- 14:31Mom from the 80s or 90s really. Maybe like Helga?
- 14:34Pataki's mom. Yeah, 'cause.
- 14:36It's like she's not there. Yeah, she's not.
- 14:38There, Yeah. Totally drunk.
- 14:40Or whatever. Yeah, yeah.
- 14:42Drunk mom. Yeah, drunk mom.
- 14:44Love that. Yeah, 'cause then.
- 14:46She kind of like sometimes will just come in your room, be kind
- 14:48of fun. Yeah, totally.
- 14:50Like what are you doing? You're studying.
- 14:52You don't need to study. You need to study.
- 14:54Comes over, slams your book down, Yeah.
- 14:56Exactly. Yeah, let's drive.
- 14:58Somewhere. You know what I didn't.
- 15:00Understand and about the the whole premise of the machine
- 15:05learning was that instead of feeding the home videos that
- 15:11he's always watching of his mom, he feeds these characters from
- 15:18like the 1950s to Pat and it's like if you wanted her to be
- 15:22like your mom just like literally use the content you
- 15:25have of your mom that's a good. Point but then I think cuz he
- 15:29only has like a couple of videos right he probably.
- 15:31He's probably re watching. The same videos over and over
- 15:34Yeah yeah, you're right. I but.
- 15:37And also cuz it I think having the random moms makes it wackier
- 15:42for the story, you know, of course.
- 15:43Yeah, it would be so boring if it was just kind of like a
- 15:46normal mom. Totally.
- 15:48Totally, Yeah. Yeah, right off the bat, this
- 15:52movie, I think has sort of an interesting commentary on like
- 15:57on probably not on purpose at all, but Disney Channel smart
- 16:01House without knowing it has an interesting commentary on women
- 16:05and motherhood in First off, the woman Sarah, who built the
- 16:10house, She's she's like, oh, I built this house.
- 16:17I'm so accomplished, whatever. And the the guy who is helping
- 16:26her out, I can't remember what his role was, but he's like.
- 16:28That reporter must. Have a crush on you.
- 16:30As if she like couldn't be competent.
- 16:32But also he's like not wrong when he says everyone has a
- 16:36crush on her because ultimately that is why the dad decides to
- 16:39go. Totally.
- 16:40To the house, yeah, so. Well, I.
- 16:43Was curious first of all who that guy was who was because he
- 16:46was just kind of around and be like Sarah.
- 16:48You gotta relax. It's gonna be alright.
- 16:51I was like. Her friend or like does he work
- 16:54for because he doesn't seem very tech savvy.
- 16:57He's not smart, Yeah. But also in my head, like he
- 17:00fits this job description of other 90s movies, jobs where
- 17:05it's like guy that's around that helps woman stop being neurotic
- 17:09when she's about like really about her job.
- 17:11Just relax. Yeah, could.
- 17:12You, Sarah? Yeah.
- 17:14It's like, that's like a a trope for sure.
- 17:16And I'm like, which is interesting.
- 17:18But then also I, I have this written down and I can't
- 17:21remember when she says it. I think maybe in like the first
- 17:25scene. But the daughter, she goes now
- 17:29dad can go on dates and we can find a new mom.
- 17:32Yeah. Which I think is a very weird
- 17:34thing to say. It is.
- 17:35Absolutely a weird thing to say, especially for a child.
- 17:38But there's this idea that like, oh, if a woman is childless,
- 17:44like, she must be looking for children to mother.
- 17:47Yeah, yeah. You know.
- 17:48That, like anyone who dates the dad is trying to become a member
- 17:53of this family totally. You know, and especially because
- 17:57they do it in a way too, because the mom died, right?
- 17:59So it's not like they're just divorced, right?
- 18:01So that's why it also has this extra layer of like, she's lucky
- 18:04she found these mother who died kids.
- 18:08Yeah. You know.
- 18:09Totally. Even though.
- 18:11He. Does resent her a lot.
- 18:14And I kind of, I kind of was, I was like the sister where she's
- 18:18like, you know, just let dad be happy.
- 18:20Totally. Yeah, she's like.
- 18:21Come on, just let him be happy. I I thought that he was.
- 18:24I thought that Ben was being a little bit of a.
- 18:29He's. Being a little bit of a bitch,
- 18:31frankly. Yeah.
- 18:33You know, and I get where he's coming from because it's like, I
- 18:36think he doesn't realize that like someone no one's gonna
- 18:39replace his mom, you know? Right.
- 18:40Cuz the dad actually seems like a decent guy.
- 18:43He seems. Like a great guy, maybe not that
- 18:45smart, but nice, yeah. And then scared and the son is
- 18:49just like cock blocking him the whole time, like cuz I remember
- 18:52he gets like a call from like some lady cuz he's like, hey,
- 18:55did did I get a message from like Stephanie?
- 18:58And then and I was like, Oh yeah, but you know, I deleted
- 19:02it. Yeah.
- 19:02I was like what? When she like called like, I
- 19:04don't know, like a month ago, like a month ago.
- 19:07And he's like, but dad, you didn't want her any you didn't
- 19:09want. Her you, you don't need another
- 19:11mom. And that's the whole point of
- 19:13Pat. The personal applied technology,
- 19:16or maybe it's personal assistant technology.
- 19:18Doesn't matter, Pat. The whole point is that he's
- 19:22like, oh, if we have a personal assistant in the house, then my
- 19:26dad won't need to find a wife because we'll have mommy.
- 19:30Yeah. And if the dad can?
- 19:32Figure out how to fuck the house, Yeah.
- 19:34Absolutely. You saw the way that that house
- 19:37sucked up the trash. The floor That house has some
- 19:40crazy. Moves he just.
- 19:42The dad just like sticks his Dick through the floor.
- 19:45He's like Pat Suck, stop sucking.
- 19:48Suck. Suck, suck.
- 19:50There's like a cup, but I can't seem to get it.
- 19:52Floor, if you mind. She's like, I can see you.
- 19:57Yeah, I. Can see you.
- 20:04God, this movie is both so, so dated, but yet so ahead of its
- 20:10time. Totally.
- 20:11Yeah. All of the CGI is like, so
- 20:14cheesy and over the top. And the way that they relate to
- 20:17this house and relate to the technology is so 90s because
- 20:22they're not afraid of it. Yeah.
- 20:25And then at the same time, of course, like I remember when
- 20:29virtual assistants first came on the scene and everyone was like,
- 20:32it's smart house. Remember when it was like, well,
- 20:36I won't say her name, but Alexa, 'cause people are gonna because
- 20:41we'll, we'll get her to. She'll respond if people are
- 20:45listening to this, but you know her.
- 20:46Yeah. Yeah, I was like, who are you?
- 20:48Talking about, you know. Yeah, yeah.
- 20:50I. Was like we made smart house
- 20:52real Yeah cuz I mean cuz it never even got close cuz some of
- 20:55the things cuz like remember there's the bio scanner where
- 20:58she's like put your hand on the scanner and also tell the little
- 21:02girl it's gonna prick her right. You know what I mean?
- 21:04Cuz she's she's like, oh, it bit me.
- 21:06She's like she was just collecting some data.
- 21:07I was like let her know right. You know like it was just like
- 21:10she's like get over a little girl.
- 21:12She was like. Like this is the price.
- 21:14You pay for convenience is with your data and the the.
- 21:18Blood scan would tell them what kind of food they need and stuff
- 21:21like that. And then there's also like 1
- 21:24where it's like they're talking and they're like, she can tell
- 21:26from your breath that you like hot dogs, right?
- 21:29Like, and then because they would give, they would customize
- 21:31food to them, you know, it's like she checked your taste buds
- 21:35and she knows that that's what you like.
- 21:37I can't. Wait for Pat to completely just
- 21:40like out one of these children to be like.
- 21:42I noticed, by the way, that your breath skipped a beat when you
- 21:46were watching that music video that you are gay.
- 21:54That would be. So great, Yeah.
- 21:55And then the dad's like, what? Yeah.
- 21:57But he'd probably be like, he seemed kind of like, that's like
- 22:01an. Interesting question, do you
- 22:02think the dad would be cool I. Do think he would be he, yeah.
- 22:05He does seem sweet. He seems like he.
- 22:06Seems like a cool guy. He'd be like, you know, I don't
- 22:09get it, but I appreciate it. That's.
- 22:10So true. Yeah, yeah.
- 22:14Yeah, he'd probably be supportive, I think.
- 22:16So too, and I hope. That one of those pictures.
- 22:18Is picture possible? Yeah.
- 22:22You know who would not be supportive?
- 22:23Pat. Yeah.
- 22:24I I agree Pat would. Start would start like the day
- 22:28she's she'd start the day with like like you know the news
- 22:35recap and she'd be like today's news and further trans athletes
- 22:45are taking over. She just starts spewing this
- 22:48like anti LGBT propaganda. The.
- 22:53House, Yeah. Anyway, so I think that she
- 22:56probably would have a harder time with that.
- 23:00But anyway, it's going back to the commentary that this movie
- 23:04accidentally makes on, you know, women and motherhood is both
- 23:10this idea that, like, the depiction of moms in media is
- 23:17problematic because that's the machine learning.
- 23:20Yeah, yeah. Source material, whatever.
- 23:23That makes Pat into a nagging bitch.
- 23:27Well, yeah, because she starts acting like that when they're
- 23:30like, can you be a little more motherly, Pat?
- 23:31Yeah, it's like you. Shouldn't just be letting us get
- 23:34away with stuff, right? Yeah, because the kids throw a
- 23:37party. Yeah, well, she actually,
- 23:39actually she's the one who throws the party.
- 23:42She. Emails.
- 23:43Everyone. Yeah, OK.
- 23:45But now I see another plot hole because there is a point where
- 23:51Ben is emailing back and forth with Sarah to try and save
- 23:56himself. Yeah.
- 23:57And it's like, well, OK, if Pat can access his e-mail contacts,
- 24:01surely she's reading his emails. You'd think.
- 24:04But I think the the way they like shoehorned this and like
- 24:09got around it is so once Pat becomes the hologram projection,
- 24:13yeah, she no longer be is the house.
- 24:16She's like, like this doesn't sound great, but she's like an
- 24:19avatar of God or she like she's like from, she goes from
- 24:22collective consciousness to the point consciousness of just cat
- 24:27seagull. Yeah.
- 24:29Yes, yeah, actually all right. You.
- 24:32Got it. That's what I think they were
- 24:33trying to do. So it's like if you don't see
- 24:35her being near you, perceiving you, you're like safe.
- 24:39And also The thing is, Pat doesn't go to the bathroom.
- 24:41Like she doesn't watch you in the bathroom as part of it.
- 24:44So in this convoy, the other explanation would be that like
- 24:47the she's not physically watching the e-mail and that's
- 24:51how Pat like perceives you, not through data, but by being like,
- 24:55what's that e-mail I see? Literally looking, it's such a
- 24:581990s view of like what it is technology watching because it's
- 25:04not watching your data. It's literally like visually,
- 25:07what does it say? Yeah.
- 25:08Exactly and. Also I thought.
- 25:10About that, I absolutely love that the.
- 25:12Announcement about the Smart house comes in the print
- 25:14newspaper. Yeah, yeah.
- 25:15Totally so. 90s I love. I'm gonna call him and then
- 25:18they're like, and you know, it made me go back in time a little
- 25:23bit cuz they're like, the line's busy again.
- 25:25Must be a teenager in that house.
- 25:28Like teens? Always yapping on.
- 25:30Always. On the phone and cuz you needed
- 25:33the Internet like you know you couldn't have Internet and your
- 25:35phone at the same time, right? Yeah, truly dial up.
- 25:38Yeah. Crazy.
- 25:41One thing that's interesting is that art imagery for AI hasn't
- 25:45changed that much. Like if you were to go to Google
- 25:48image search, artificial intelligence, it would look the
- 25:51exact same as the way it's depicted in this movie.
- 25:54Yeah. It would be like a picture of
- 25:55her and like that weird arm that wraps around to like, yeah,
- 25:59yeah. Yeah, it's in it'd.
- 26:00Be like the octopus arm, Yeah. Exactly beat the.
- 26:02Bully up also, Yeah, sorry I wrote this down because I forgot
- 26:05that. So you know, Ben is into
- 26:07computers or whatever. Yeah, totally.
- 26:10When he does the overhaul of the system, the first thing he gets
- 26:14rid of is he deletes the safety protocols ever just being like,
- 26:21I don't think you have to do that.
- 26:22I think you can change your personality or whatever without
- 26:25delete. Like she's like he's like delete
- 26:27the safety protocols and like I don't.
- 26:30Know that you need to, but it's also weird.
- 26:31That was the first thing he did right.
- 26:33Yeah. And he obviously.
- 26:36Doesn't know that. Much about computers, but it's a
- 26:39it's a classic like 90s perspective of technology is
- 26:43that like. In.
- 26:45This world today, you can't get technology to work for you
- 26:49unless you sacrifice something. Your privacy, your data,
- 26:53whatever. And.
- 26:55In this. Film, it's like you didn't
- 26:58really have to sacrifice anything.
- 27:02They even eventually learn to live with Pat responsibly.
- 27:05Totally. I because yeah, it's weird
- 27:08because the lesson isn't about technology at all.
- 27:13Yeah, it's really about. Like, processing trauma and
- 27:16moving past like a death, you know?
- 27:19Yeah, totally. Because like, you know, if he
- 27:20didn't do all that weird mom stuff, Yeah, with Pat, like, the
- 27:24house would have just been fine. It would have just been like,
- 27:27hey, I noticed from your breath, you need oranges, right?
- 27:30Here's an orange, Right. You know, also, that's hard.
- 27:33God. Oh, no.
- 27:33The walls with the screens and stuff.
- 27:36That was so cool. My God, the golf simulator.
- 27:39That, that shit was like, I remember being like, if I could
- 27:42ever have this technology, it's all along.
- 27:44And guess what? You can get a golf simulator.
- 27:46That's true, you could. You get a lot of the stuff,
- 27:48like, in that regard, yeah. But I think some of it was like,
- 27:52yeah, you could feel the mist from the ocean or whatever.
- 27:54And like, like it's Disney's 5D or whatever.
- 27:58Yes, yeah. Yeah.
- 27:59Yeah, I was definitely like being on a ride at Disney where
- 28:02you're like, I didn't need it to smell.
- 28:04Yeah. Yeah, you did make.
- 28:06It a real sensory experience, yeah.
- 28:09Yeah, and then the floor cleaning stuff.
- 28:11That was the other thing. I remember being like, I wish I
- 28:13had this. Oh my God, so bad.
- 28:15I just imagine just like peeing on the floor or something so.
- 28:18Easy. Just like, yeah.
- 28:19Just like I have to pee in the middle of the night.
- 28:20I don't wanna get out. I don't wanna get out on the
- 28:22floor. Even on the bed.
- 28:23I'm. Sure that if they have that
- 28:25technology, just suck it up from the bed.
- 28:27That was the fun part, is that technology was such a physical
- 28:33thing in that era that all of the cool gadgets are physical
- 28:39machinery. It's not really software, it's
- 28:42hardware. Yeah.
- 28:44It's like we made a smoothie for you and it came out of the
- 28:47kitchen counter. Totally.
- 28:48I mean, cuz it all, it felt like magic, yeah.
- 28:51You know, and that's like, I think what was interesting about
- 28:53it. Yeah.
- 28:54The. Floor.
- 28:55The floor cleaning thing just makes me laugh now.
- 28:57It's like, yeah, just it just cleans everything back to the
- 29:00dad having sex with the floor, Yeah.
- 29:05And you know what I hope he does cuz he deserves it.
- 29:08He deserves to be happy he ends up.
- 29:10With Sarah, right? Yeah, he.
- 29:11Does and eventually the kids, you know, well, I guess the
- 29:14daughter was always kind of down the daughter.
- 29:16Didn't care she was so. Like whatever.
- 29:17Dude, she's like, I have hobbies and things.
- 29:19Yeah, she's. Like, I do have friends and
- 29:21Ben's like I'm 13 and I have responsibilities.
- 29:23He's like, why don't you? Go for the basketball team.
- 29:25He's like, I can't, I can't have to cook.
- 29:27Too busy? Huge shout out to sponsor of
- 29:31Dude IDK spider moving and storage.
- 29:34I recently used them to move into my new place and couldn't
- 29:38be happier with how efficient they were.
- 29:41They were so kind, they made it look so easy and it was just top
- 29:44notch experience. So definitely recommend that you
- 29:48check them out if you've got a move coming up.
- 29:50Residential, commercial, local, cross country, anything in
- 29:53between. You can get a free quote at
- 29:55spidermoving.com and you can give them a follow on social
- 29:59media at Spider Moving and Storage.
- 30:03I was. Making also a crazy meal.
- 30:04I remember one of the meals was just like a big like pot or not
- 30:08pot, like a big old casserole tray of just like Mac and
- 30:10cheese. Yeah, that was.
- 30:11I was like brother. That can't be the meal.
- 30:14Like, I know that's all you know how to make right?
- 30:16But like. Pat's gonna have something to
- 30:17say about that. Totally.
- 30:18Yeah. But it is like, I don't know.
- 30:23I kind of wonder why you said say it.
- 30:25No, no, no. I just, I was just looking at my
- 30:27notes and I said what? Sarah house starts policing
- 30:30everyone's behavior. Sarah shuts down the house, the
- 30:35house overrides it, it eats Sarah outside.
- 30:41And then, and then I wrote this note down, which is the they
- 30:46basically gave Pat a lobotomy. Yeah.
- 30:50They were like. Do not think.
- 30:53Pat just. Do you're not a?
- 30:55Mom, just cook and clean, do the things totally.
- 30:58Yeah, so it's almost like, it's almost like they're saying that
- 31:02AI cannot replace humans. It's.
- 31:04Sort of what they're. Saying or that, like, AI cannot
- 31:08provide you the emotional support that a human can.
- 31:11But then it's also like, OK, but you're also, you were also
- 31:15saying that these kids do need a mommy, though.
- 31:18Yeah. It's, you know, cuz there's a,
- 31:20this is a repeating theme for movies in the 90s and 2000s.
- 31:24Yeah. Where it's like a parent
- 31:25tragically dies and like the kids are trying to, like,
- 31:29recreate it in some way, right? Where it's like, like another
- 31:32example's life-size. life-size, of course.
- 31:34Yeah. And like, you know, they've the
- 31:36girl finds a necromancy hair brush like a thrift store or
- 31:39whatever. And.
- 31:40Just like like trying to bring her mom back, whether she brings
- 31:44Tyra Banks back instead. And then there's Jack Frost,
- 31:48where the kid brings his dad back, but he's a snowman or
- 31:51whatever. That's so true.
- 31:52And you can tell it's Michael Keaton.
- 31:53The eyebrows, the. Eyebrows give it away.
- 31:57But that's like a common theme where, like, children are trying
- 32:00to, like, replace the deceased parent with like, yeah.
- 32:03And in this case, it's technology, right?
- 32:05You know? Yeah.
- 32:06And then the morals always just like you got to get over your
- 32:09parents dying like. It's but in this one.
- 32:12It's like you can, you can get over your parent dying because
- 32:15now you have a new mom. But is it?
- 32:18But is it? I don't know.
- 32:20Yeah. I think it's half and half,
- 32:22Yeah. I think it's like you you have
- 32:23to move on. I think that's like the.
- 32:25Yeah, the gist of it, just you have to move on.
- 32:27Yeah. And like, because I can't
- 32:28remember if in Jack Frost, nothing in Jack Frost just had
- 32:31to let his dad melt. Michael.
- 32:36Keaton just had to melt. Yeah, then.
- 32:38Thing in life-size. Does Tyra Banks become her mom?
- 32:44Honestly, it's been like. Weird if that's.
- 32:47It's been a few years since I've seen it.
- 32:49I'll come. Back and do that movie with you.
- 32:53I think that. She she turns into a person,
- 32:58right? So yeah.
- 32:58So she's a doll that turns into a person.
- 33:00Yeah, but I. Think that she then becomes more
- 33:02permanently a person, right? Like leaves and lives her life.
- 33:05Like, yeah, I can't remember. Or maybe I don't know if they
- 33:08wrote this, but here's how I I would write this.
- 33:10All right. I would turn another doll into a
- 33:15person and have them live together.
- 33:17Oh, that's so they could have a shared experience.
- 33:19Yeah. Totally.
- 33:20You know, maybe I'd turn the girl into a doll.
- 33:25Lindsay Lohan, why she already is one through a lot, I don't
- 33:28know, but you know, if she's a. Doll, she doesn't have to feel
- 33:31anything. It's sort of like the that
- 33:33would. Be funny if that's how it ends.
- 33:34She just turns her and her dad into dolls, Yeah.
- 33:37Okay, okay, life. Size too.
- 33:39They already have one of those. They do?
- 33:41Yeah, they do. Oh, it's crazy.
- 33:43For a long time, life-size 2 was available on Disney Plus, but
- 33:46the original life-size wasn't. Yeah, it took like years for the
- 33:51original life-size to be available on Disney Plus.
- 33:53Did you watch? Life-size 2.
- 33:55No, Yeah, I. Mean, I imagine it's like the
- 33:58same premise. It's got a different child.
- 34:01Probably, and they find. That necromancy hair brush
- 34:03again, Yeah. Probably because it's not gone
- 34:05anywhere. What are?
- 34:07Your thoughts on AI? Oh, I love it.
- 34:11No, I I'm, it's funny because I have a new bit about AI.
- 34:15Yeah, I, I think it, it seemed like it could have been a useful
- 34:19tool at first, you know, before it grew into this, like, weird
- 34:23thing. Yeah.
- 34:24Because they're also like, there's people who are like
- 34:25addicted to it or like they can't make decisions.
- 34:28And like, if you're on a dating app, like a lot of my friends
- 34:31are on apps, we're talking about how like, they'll get a
- 34:32response. They can tell it was from Yeah,
- 34:35like AI Totally. So I think it's interesting
- 34:36because I was also like a late adopter.
- 34:38It was literally, I finally was like, let me see what this
- 34:41ChatGPT thing is. Yeah.
- 34:42And then I used it for like a week.
- 34:45And then it came out that was bad for the environment.
- 34:47And you were like. I was like I.
- 34:48Can't even get to use this anymore.
- 34:50You know only. Got to enjoy it for a week,
- 34:52yeah? And so I think I don't think you
- 34:55can replace much like they learned in smart house.
- 34:58I don't think you can replace real relationships or anything
- 35:00like that. But I did see there's like some
- 35:02value of like certain things like getting like cuz Google is
- 35:07huge where like instead of having to like go website to
- 35:10website, you should be like search a thing.
- 35:12And I think ChatGPT was a more advanced version of that.
- 35:16The arts weird. Like I don't know.
- 35:18I don't know why anyone uses any of that.
- 35:19I think it all looks bad. I've never seen like an AI Yeah,
- 35:23creation where I was like, whoa. That looks amazing, Yeah, then.
- 35:27They do weird trends that get people on board that seem like a
- 35:32waste now that I know it's actually wasting water.
- 35:34Yeah, I'm like, you wasted water so you can look like you're in a
- 35:37Christmas room or something, like whatever.
- 35:41They don't make sense to me. Yeah.
- 35:42And it's also not what I look like.
- 35:44So I'm also just like, I want people to be like, wow, you look
- 35:47hot as you, right? And not like the what AI thinks
- 35:50you look like as hot. Totally.
- 35:52Yeah. So yeah, I think there's like
- 35:55there was room for it to be a useful tool, but I think it just
- 35:58quickly just has escalated to a weird thing.
- 36:02Yeah, that I just like, I don't know, it's going.
- 36:04But then also like all these companies keep bombarding me
- 36:07with their own AI or like Google AI is horrible.
- 36:12And then it's like anytime you're just like, it's like, do
- 36:15you wanna use our AI? I'm like, no, no.
- 36:17Or Gmail is like, do you wanna use our AI?
- 36:19I'm like for what? Yeah.
- 36:20They're like I got an. E-mail help you.
- 36:22Write this e-mail. Yeah I know what I wanna say.
- 36:24Why? So that stuff is weird to me.
- 36:27Yeah, yeah. When it feels like, it almost
- 36:30feels like Clippy. Yeah.
- 36:31You remember Clippy? Sure do.
- 36:33Would. You like help with that but
- 36:35Clippy? Also couldn't help you with
- 36:36anything and. Neither can this, neither can a
- 36:39lot of these AI tools. It's like I open an e-mail and
- 36:42it's like, would you like help writing this e-mail?
- 36:44And I'm like, well, now I have to think of, I would have to
- 36:47think of a prompt to give, Yeah. I'd be like to write this.
- 36:50E-mail and I already know what I want to say.
- 36:53Yeah. So, and I could see myself like,
- 36:55I'm a very indecisive person. Yeah.
- 36:58So I could see myself getting addicted to using air.
- 37:01I'm like, I don't even have to think about anything anymore,
- 37:03right? And so like, yeah, I got lucky
- 37:05that I just, I'd use it for like 2 weeks.
- 37:07And then they're like. Hey, it's bad for the
- 37:09environment. Like damn.
- 37:11Yeah. All right.
- 37:11All right. Well, I guess that's that so.
- 37:13Yeah, what about you? I typically find that like there
- 37:20are very few use cases in which AI has helped me feel even just
- 37:27more efficient. Like there's, there's really, I
- 37:31think that it maybe it's because I'm a late adopter as well, but.
- 37:35I. Really can't even call to mind
- 37:38times when I've been like, oh, I'm so glad that I used AI for,
- 37:42you know, like, I think that most often it seems as though
- 37:45tech executives are the ones that are most excited about AI
- 37:50and perhaps the only ones who are super excited about AI
- 37:55compared to the general population.
- 37:57And so every tech company is trying to like out AI each other
- 38:01and they're truly just doing it for each other.
- 38:05And because the the consumer is not asking for it, the consumer
- 38:09does not care. The consumer is not like, man, I
- 38:12wish I had an AI assistant to write this e-mail within the
- 38:16Gmail app. You know what I mean?
- 38:18But. You know, what's interesting too
- 38:20is I think AI is the first thing in a long time that's creating
- 38:24new industries. So like for example, like let's
- 38:27say companies using AI like like servers or whatever, you have to
- 38:31have somewhere to put those like servers and stuff.
- 38:34So they're building all these data centers, right?
- 38:36So that's like stimulating the economy in weird ways where it's
- 38:39like all these construction guys are like, oh, finally they're
- 38:41like, I'm. Building a thing?
- 38:43Yeah. Or like real estate guys or
- 38:45like, you know, like different stuff like that.
- 38:47So there are like different industries that are like loosely
- 38:50getting stoked, right? Like about this, but like I
- 38:54don't know what the threshold is, right?
- 38:56And there's only so much space. Yeah, in the world.
- 39:02Well, they're doing. A lot of it in Texas, and
- 39:03there's so much space there. And Texas is going to be 1 big
- 39:06AI like data farm. Yeah, so, so wild.
- 39:11It is interesting and it's just like.
- 39:13It does appear to be bad for the environment, but like.
- 39:16No, the evidence is suggesting that it is bad for the
- 39:18environment. And the thing too about like the
- 39:21AI art is that even if you are really good at writing a prompt
- 39:25to get an AI tool to give you a graphic that you want, it's not
- 39:30gonna have the same critical thinking skills as a designer
- 39:34who would say hey that idea is actually stupid.
- 39:37This is what I would do instead. But they of course can say it in
- 39:42the nice way that you talk to a client that that I struggle
- 39:46with. But like if if we're saying that
- 39:51creativity is just input and output, then like.
- 39:57It's because it's not like real because that's the thing.
- 40:01It's like, I think it's interesting to use it.
- 40:05So like I, I have, I have literally just wrote a bit about
- 40:07this, about how just like because like.
- 40:09I could never use AI to replace like an artist friend.
- 40:12Sure, because it's like, I want my shit to look good.
- 40:15I want it to look like good, look like, like something real
- 40:18and tangible and like have some character to it.
- 40:21But it's like, you know, AI stuff is just like for bits,
- 40:24right? Where it's like, here's a
- 40:25picture of like, you know, Sonic the Hedgehog kissing Shrek or
- 40:28something. And it's like, and you get it in
- 40:3030 seconds, right? You know, like that's like, but
- 40:33that's not worth the rest of it. You know what I mean?
- 40:35Exactly So it's like I've never seen any like AI like show flyer
- 40:39or something where I'm like, wow, like that looks good, but
- 40:42also I think the problem is it's like some people just don't care
- 40:45what looks good. That's.
- 40:46So true, like people don't people don't appreciate like
- 40:50beauty some people have. No taste and like cuz for me.
- 40:54Like I love. Like film photography.
- 40:56Yeah. Because I like how it looks.
- 40:58And I like how there's, like this, it's light and all this
- 41:00shit like that. I don't even understand.
- 41:02That's like making this beautiful thing.
- 41:05Yeah. And it looks like the thing that
- 41:07I saw, you know, somehow. Yeah.
- 41:09And like, there's something about, like, there's at first,
- 41:11like there's soul in there. There's like some.
- 41:13Yeah, some spirit, Yeah. But AI just like, doesn't have
- 41:16that, Yeah. Like I think that AI doesn't,
- 41:20it's never going to in a way that humans do process beauty
- 41:26and like appreciate things that are beautiful just for the sake
- 41:29of beauty and not for the sake of like productivity.
- 41:32Well, that's the. Problem with like society is
- 41:34like we don't, it's all productivity now.
- 41:36It's all capitalism. It's all, I mean, we were
- 41:38talking about this before we started recording about how like
- 41:40my dentist has to have a TikTok and stuff.
- 41:42It's all just like we're connecting in weird ways when
- 41:45it's like, do you ever like leave your phone or home, just
- 41:47talk to people and you go to like the coffee shop and stuff
- 41:49and you hear about like their day-to-day and then like, that's
- 41:52when I feel like good, you know? Yeah.
- 41:54But and you know, the crazy part is it doesn't even matter how we
- 41:57feel about AI because it's going to grow so vastly.
- 42:00Like it's just because it grows every single day.
- 42:03And I think eventually, like, yeah, I mean, I, I don't think
- 42:06there's, there's going to be a lot of people that don't even
- 42:08talk to each other. They're just going to have it's
- 42:09like AI to AI, right? Yeah.
- 42:12It's like when you're like when your boss writes you a thing in
- 42:15AI and then you respond with AI and it's just like, it's just AI
- 42:18talking to each other. Honestly, though, like I just
- 42:21maybe this is naive of me, but I feel like the bubbles got to
- 42:24burst at some point. And I do think that there's like
- 42:27there is a sentiment, especially among young people who are
- 42:31typically like, you know, the earliest tech adopters who are
- 42:35saying, actually, we care about the environment and maybe we
- 42:39should like, pause for a second and think about how to scale
- 42:46this effectively or. Yeah, but the.
- 42:48Young people and the world, you know, the old world, the world's
- 42:51run by these old people that don't really get it.
- 42:53Yeah. And I think that's why it's
- 42:55growing the way it is. Yeah, totally.
- 42:57But also like, yeah, I just think, I also think there's like
- 43:01movements of people doing like single use tech where it's like
- 43:05a lot of people now like they carry a separate camera for
- 43:08pictures. They carry like a book, so they
- 43:10read and there's not on their phone.
- 43:12Yeah, I have a lot of VH s s Yeah.
- 43:14Because I noticed that if I I'm always trying to find the
- 43:16perfect thing to watch, right. And I'm thinking about how it'll
- 43:19make me feel. I'm looking at reviews and then
- 43:21I don't watch anything. Of course you.
- 43:23Spend 2 hours on letterbox like you know, reading reviews
- 43:27totally. Yeah, but you just put Avhs in
- 43:29and I'm like, I'm, I'm gonna get up and like go look at the shelf
- 43:32again and all that kind of stuff.
- 43:33And like, we're watching this. Yeah, we're watching Pearl
- 43:35Harbor. Your options are Pearl Harbor
- 43:41and 101 Dalmatians. What are you in the mood for?
- 43:44I'm watching. 102 Dalmatians, you know, like something like
- 43:46weird. I'm like, I guess whatever,
- 43:48yeah. Yeah, you're like, I never
- 43:50returned it from Blockbuster, so.
- 43:53Still. Got the be kind rewind.
- 43:54Yeah, yeah. Yeah, table totally.
- 43:58Well, you know, circling back to smart house, I feel like.
- 44:02Yeah. But the thing about smart house
- 44:05is that there's almost this like, I don't know, I kind of
- 44:09yearn for this time when we viewed technology as hardware
- 44:17and not software, when we saw it as like, like you said, it's
- 44:20magic. It's like the carpet just sucks
- 44:23up the mess. And that they weren't they
- 44:27weren't concerned about what Pat was going to do with the content
- 44:30of their emails or like how she was going to sell their blood
- 44:35samples to what's her name with the low voice, the one who had
- 44:40that that scam with the there and.
- 44:45That. Like that Pat wasn't going to
- 44:48sell their information to Amazon so that Amazon would just like
- 44:52automatically be in cahoots with the big orange company and then
- 44:58like push oranges on them and be like, well, actually oranges are
- 45:01the only healthy food that you need.
- 45:03You know, that kind of stuff. They just weren't worried about
- 45:05that because they didn't know. They didn't know that that was
- 45:08going to be a problem. They didn't think, oh, my data
- 45:12is actually like, can be weaponized against me.
- 45:15They didn't even know that that was a possibility.
- 45:18They only thought that like the data as in like the outside
- 45:23world. Because that's ultimately what
- 45:24makes Pat lock them all in, is that she says the outside world
- 45:27is dangerous. And I could do everything for
- 45:30you here rather than trying to exploit them to with the outside
- 45:36world, yeah. And now we're just used to our
- 45:39data being I did a show recently and someone was like, what are
- 45:44you doing today? I was like, I'm opening for
- 45:46blank. Yeah.
- 45:47And then when I said that that persons reels just started
- 45:50showing out. Yeah, on my Instagram and I'm
- 45:52like, I know my phone is listening and there's nothing I
- 45:56can do about. It because I.
- 45:58Have to use it right even like today.
- 46:01What phone provider do you have I.
- 46:03Have Verizon? Did you have any?
- 46:04Issues today. No.
- 46:07Okay. So I wasn't able to make calls
- 46:11or text or anything like that earlier today.
- 46:13Weird because Verizon was having some issues.
- 46:16Oh, weird. And I felt very vulnerable.
- 46:19I was just like, oh, fuck. Like, how am I gonna like,
- 46:21because I was at a coffee shop and I had Wi-Fi, right?
- 46:23And that's great. I can still like iMessage or
- 46:25whatever. But then I was like, coming over
- 46:27here. I was like, I do not know how to
- 46:29get here. Oh yeah.
- 46:31You. Know totally.
- 46:32So I screenshotted the addresses.
- 46:34Wow. And so I could like figure it
- 46:36out if I had. Crazy.
- 46:38Oh my God, you went to mapquest.com and printed?
- 46:40It out the directions. If I had a.
- 46:42Printer I would have but I was just like I don't know what I'm
- 46:45gonna do yeah and so I kind of just like was and it turned out
- 46:48to be OK yeah but it is just like that's how dependent we are
- 46:51completely on these things like I need this thing and then I
- 46:54just have to be like well needing this thing A side effect
- 46:56of that is them just hearing me yeah listening to everything I
- 46:59say completely. I say.
- 47:01Crazy things. Yeah, and they're listening.
- 47:03You heard the. Ad read.
- 47:06You all heard it, listener. You heard it.
- 47:09But. Truly, there will be.
- 47:12I just think we're never gonna go back to a time where we hear
- 47:14the house is jumping the song and think, wow, that is so cute.
- 47:20I think it might have been created for this movie, but I
- 47:22will look it up. I can't.
- 47:23Remember, 'cause like there was a bunch of boy bands back in it,
- 47:26Like there's auxiliary ones, you know, like Backstreet Boys and
- 47:29*NSYNC are obviously the two main ones.
- 47:32But then they had like, you know, O Town S Club 7 or 7.
- 47:37Yeah. Dream St.
- 47:39Yeah. God, I love those.
- 47:41Yeah, let's see houses jump in. And they all had.
- 47:44Different markets. Smart house because Dream St.
- 47:47was for like little, like little kids, you know?
- 47:49Yeah. They made, that's the thing that
- 47:50was so beautiful about all of the boy bands and girl groups is
- 47:53that like everyone could kind of not only place themselves in
- 47:57alignment with each group, but then like among the members
- 48:00you'd be like, well, I'm a Joey Fatone girl.
- 48:03You know, if you were me, that's what you'd say.
- 48:06I was trying. I was.
- 48:07Trying to be Nick Carter, So was.
- 48:09So was so it was Nick Holmby shout out I was.
- 48:12Like I just want to be blonde and white so bad.
- 48:16If I was blonde and. White everything would be
- 48:18different and. Honestly probably would have
- 48:20been. But guess what?
- 48:21He did not end up OK, no. Nick's fine.
- 48:24Aaron is the one that died. Yeah, he.
- 48:25Died, but like Nick Carter is still like, not OK, you think?
- 48:29So well, yeah, look, Nick, I think you're doing great.
- 48:32And if you're watching this, I'm going to be in Vegas in May and
- 48:35I would love to see you guys. They're still together.
- 48:38You're trying. To go to the sphere.
- 48:40Is that where they perform? Yeah, that's where they have
- 48:41their residency I'm trying to go.
- 48:42Wherever they are. Wow.
- 48:44Because I, I love them. I.
- 48:46Also love the Backstreet Boys, but I do not endorse Nick Carter
- 48:49on this podcast. I.
- 48:50Endorse Nick Carter. I'll endorse everything you do.
- 48:54Wow, even the assault what is? That real?
- 48:58Yeah, no. Yeah, cut that.
- 49:00Out. We'll talk about this later.
- 49:04No, I didn't know. Is that no.
- 49:06OK, I'm so sorry. No, this is really upsetting.
- 49:10I can't. I think that the song, The house
- 49:12is jumping it. It actually was written for this
- 49:17movie, OK. That makes sense, God.
- 49:20I loved that song. Also, I don't endorse assault.
- 49:25Thank you. OK, I just.
- 49:27I didn't know about that at all. BK Sherrod, famous ally, I'm
- 49:31gonna look up for you. Just Nick Carter controversy,
- 49:35this is. Crazy.
- 49:36This is so upsetting. Yeah, 'cause.
- 49:37It was like, it was like a, they were like, sorry, alleged.
- 49:44Allegations. Yeah, Oh my God.
- 49:46This is the worst. News ever.
- 49:47Yeah. Oh, April 15th, 2025.
- 49:50That's a week. Before my birthday variety.
- 49:52Dot com Nick Carter faces fourth sexual assault.
- 49:56Fourth suit. Yeah, sorry.
- 49:58I'm. In to yell.
- 49:58That's OK, sorry. Nick, sorry if you.
- 50:00Have headphones on, yeah. I say it's OK, I'm not editing
- 50:02this. Yeah.
- 50:05Damn. Yeah, anyway, but the house is
- 50:10jumping. You know what?
- 50:12What Non? Pro AI we need new music made by
- 50:15non real people because. That's the thing about.
- 50:18That's the thing about AI celebrities, that they can be
- 50:21whoever we we want them to be. But if they're machine learning,
- 50:25if they're learning based off of human pop stars, they will
- 50:29eventually become criminals as well.
- 50:33That's crazy. Dude, yeah, God, my head is
- 50:35spinning right now. I'm.
- 50:36So sorry. Wow.
- 50:41Dark. Damn dark.
- 50:43Dark, dark. I used to.
- 50:45Love the Backstreet Boys? You can.
- 50:47Still love them, I danced. To them in my school talent
- 50:50trail. Oh my God, so Nick.
- 50:53Nick Holmby. Also famous Backstreet Boys
- 50:56really fan. Damn.
- 50:58Well, Nick, we could have seen them before.
- 50:59I have seen them a little too many times.
- 51:02You've seen. Them yes he's.
- 51:04On with the sphere. Yeah, well, now I can't.
- 51:07Yes, you can relax. That's.
- 51:10Crazy relax. If AJ.
- 51:12Four. Well, I can't be a fan of AJ.
- 51:14We can be fans. Of no you can.
- 51:16Be fans of AJ. Yeah, I'm only going to see AJ.
- 51:19You guys, I'm not here for all the boys.
- 51:22And I don't want to be like Nick Carter.
- 51:25Totally. We know.
- 51:26Look, we know now. God, I know.
- 51:29I'm really, really sorry. I hate that I had to be the one
- 51:33to tell you. I know.
- 51:34Especially like on camera too, you know, It's like, it's like
- 51:36something it's like I would have liked to process alone, you
- 51:39know? And now you're now you're forced
- 51:43to get we real. That was really a gotcha.
- 51:46Really. Well, I was and I was.
- 51:47And I was honestly planning to do that today.
- 51:50I was, I was thinking, how am I going to get BK on the podcast?
- 51:53How am I going to move the conversation to the Backstreet
- 51:56Boy so that I can bamboozle him? Well, I was so.
- 51:58Excited. I was like, I'm gonna say yeah.
- 52:00And also because you're like, because you said it in a way
- 52:03that was like, he's crazy, you know not.
- 52:06I said in a way that it's like, he's so kooky, yeah.
- 52:09Yeah, it's like he's just having a hard time.
- 52:11And so I was like, well, look, if you're having a hard time, I
- 52:14love you, buddy. Like I'm here for you.
- 52:16You're like. Been there and you have.
- 52:18I wish, but yes, and I wish you started that differently.
- 52:22I'm so sorry. And that is my fault.
- 52:25And that's so my fault. But I think that it is like a,
- 52:28it's like a cycle of abuse thing because their manager.
- 52:32Is has. A lot of alleged, You know what
- 52:34we don't even have? Yeah.
- 52:35Let's that's not why. We're here.
- 52:37So the house is jumping is not a house is jumping.
- 52:39Is not a song that existed before this I'm pretty sure.
- 52:44OK, look, I think that they should have just let the kids
- 52:49have parties and have pat electrocute bullies and could it
- 52:55should have just kept her as like a cool mom, you know, like
- 52:58I who's there? What?
- 52:59Do you mean I mean? Like the dad comes in, he's like
- 53:02Pat, you let them have a party, you need to be more strict.
- 53:06I wish that that it could have just been that she never had to
- 53:11be a mean mom, that they would have framed her as like the
- 53:15classic mean mom is that. What made her start being like
- 53:19all mean and stuff? Or was it just the dad saying
- 53:21that I think? So cuz then she starts getting a
- 53:24bunch of she starts like downloading.
- 53:25Her downloading. A lot of info about moms who are
- 53:29famously so mean you gotta. Buckle up.
- 53:32Yeah. OK, so that's interesting cuz
- 53:34yeah like the kids should be allowed to have a party.
- 53:37Yeah 'cause they weren't like drinking or anything.
- 53:39It wasn't like doing like. Choreographed dances and I.
- 53:43Loved. That probably my favorite part
- 53:45of the movie is when they're all in a line and they're going.
- 53:49Yeah, I think they even like went down the stairs together,
- 53:52like in unison. Yeah.
- 53:53Yeah, it was. Awesome.
- 53:55The boys like doing their dance together.
- 53:58I like. It that is like he doesn't have
- 53:59time to try for the basketball team, but he has time to
- 54:02choreograph this dance with friends.
- 54:05I got to take care of the family.
- 54:07I can't try for the basketball team, but but hey boys, you down
- 54:10to meet for the eighth time this week so we can rehearse our big
- 54:13dance in case we ever have a party and then.
- 54:15That's when Pat said based on the machine learning data.
- 54:19I gotta tell you this, gay My life, my life would have been so
- 54:23different if I had other boys to sing and dance with.
- 54:27Oh my. God totally been.
- 54:28Such a different life if you had.
- 54:30Your own Backstreet Boys? Yeah.
- 54:32Yeah. I could have seen you really
- 54:34thriving in a boy band. I didn't.
- 54:36Have structure though 'cause I would dance, you know?
- 54:38So the way I would dance in school, I was like Jimmy Junior
- 54:41from Bob's Burgers. I like, wouldn't choreograph.
- 54:44I would just kind of be like you would.
- 54:46Kind of go with, you know, vibes.
- 54:49Vibes yeah, you would not be a good like K pop dust like boy
- 54:54band boy because they're so everything that they do is so
- 54:57precise. Precise.
- 54:59I could. Have been like some like dance
- 55:01teacher that teaches like like expressiveness, you know, for
- 55:05like white ladies in Boulder, you know, it's like look your
- 55:08your body is tense. You just got a ecstatic dance.
- 55:11Yeah. Exactly, Yeah.
- 55:12Therapeutic ecstatic dance. And honestly, you know, if
- 55:16comedy doesn't work out, yeah, there's always ecstatic dance,
- 55:21yeah. Yeah, there is, there is.
- 55:23Thank God. What else do we need to discuss?
- 55:26I have in my notes here. Golf simulator.
- 55:28Yeah, the golf. Simulator is cool.
- 55:29Let's see. Yeah, it says the origins of AI,
- 55:34remember? When they were just like in a
- 55:36war with the oranges, yes, that was.
- 55:39Fun. Also, I think it was kind of
- 55:40weird that the, the the girl, his crush didn't want to hang
- 55:44out, but then she's like, so here you got this house, right?
- 55:48So that was kind of weird. The bully was weird.
- 55:51He has like, having him do all of his homework.
- 55:53So it's like, so he was doing twice the homework.
- 55:56He was choreographing dances, being a mom.
- 56:00Yeah. Making Mac and cheese casserole.
- 56:05When Pat. OK, when Pat has her rant about
- 56:08like, how much she has to do, like how much work she has to
- 56:12do, and like, that was so real. Yeah, I loved that totally.
- 56:16Yeah, that was real. And see those bully homework,
- 56:20the house bullies, the bully. And I said very lightly lol,
- 56:27because I think he's just, she kind of just pushes him away
- 56:30from the house, right, right. Well.
- 56:32She kind of electrocutes him, but it's kind of just a little
- 56:34bit. But he.
- 56:34Doesn't actually he like she pretends to That's true.
- 56:36She's it's like if you have like a Taser like that's.
- 56:39Right. That's right.
- 56:40You know, Yeah. Yeah cuz I I I specifically
- 56:42wrote very lightly lol. No children.
- 56:47Were actually Hawks. The system, yeah, I think that's
- 56:50all the notes that I had, yeah. I mean, gosh, I don't think I
- 56:53have Yeats are. Outside.
- 56:55Yeats are outside. There was something about the
- 56:58classic like turn it off and turn it back on again when they
- 57:01were trying to troubleshoot. Yeah, yeah.
- 57:04The monologue about her hard work was funny.
- 57:08I liked. Her rat.
- 57:09Her pet rat? Yeah, Gunston.
- 57:11Is that his? Name.
- 57:13Winston. I think yeah, yeah, I liked him.
- 57:15Yeah, I like. The rat, because I love rats.
- 57:17I love. That Pat just disappears when
- 57:18she realizes she's not real. Yeah, she's disappears.
- 57:21Yeah. Wait, can we return to how?
- 57:23That you like rats? You love rats.
- 57:25I love rats. Yeah, they're really cute.
- 57:27Wow. Yeah, I had a rat.
- 57:30Named Smith. Your parents let you have rats,
- 57:36no? This is my first apartment.
- 57:38Oh. You said I'm a man now, Yeah.
- 57:40And then my friend then, then it was like so much work.
- 57:44And then yeah, I bet. And I was like, I just wasn't
- 57:46responsible enough. So like my friend's mom was
- 57:48like, I'll, I'll take him. Oh, that was.
- 57:49So nice of your friends that's. Great.
- 57:51Wow. And then years later he died.
- 57:53And then years. Later, I thought that they
- 57:55usually lived like only two years.
- 57:56Yeah, that's. Years.
- 57:57That's years, OK. Yeah, that's more than one.
- 57:59Year more than. A year later.
- 58:01Yeah. I don't remember exactly how
- 58:02long, but yeah. And then we we did like a vigil.
- 58:06Wow, yeah. Darth Vader style.
- 58:08Wow. For Smith?
- 58:09Yeah. For Smith, Beautiful.
- 58:11So fun. Next in power.
- 58:12King, Yeah. Rest in power.
- 58:14Yeah. Do you think you'd get a rat
- 58:15again? Maybe does.
- 58:17Smeagol chase rodents no. Smeagol is not prey driven at
- 58:22all. He just likes gross stuff.
- 58:24No, Yeah, yeah. So he likes, like, poop trash,
- 58:26Yeah. Well, I mean, rats are gross.
- 58:28Sorry. Yeah, sorry.
- 58:29If you could get close enough and find out that they also have
- 58:32poop, yeah, I think he'd be interested in that.
- 58:34But he's say. Well, where's your poop, though?
- 58:36Yeah, he's just. Like, well, a little poop
- 58:38factory you got here. Like got a little poop factory,
- 58:41but he's not. Pregnant at all he doesn't like
- 58:42yeah, he can care less so they. So they could kind of cohabitate
- 58:46totally. Cool.
- 58:47But. Rats like it's just also
- 58:49interesting because like you know, I'm very into like
- 58:50rescuing animals yes very much and so like but and like rats
- 58:54are usually like there's not like a rat rest there probably
- 58:56is but I'm saying I. Do have a friend, I have a
- 58:58friend who kind of rescued a rat.
- 59:00Wow. Because they were at a pet
- 59:02store, because they were really into fish and frogs for a little
- 59:06while and they go to the pet store and they see.
- 59:10The banned fish, what they're really into the fish and
- 59:12Grateful Dead, so they're at the pet store and so they're.
- 59:14At the pet store cuz. They're on drugs, yeah.
- 59:17Totally. They're on.
- 59:17Drugs and they said let's go see the snakes.
- 59:19So they go to the pet store that's like it's like the one
- 59:22that specializes in like reptiles and fish.
- 59:25And the employee was feeding a rat to a snake and in like a
- 59:32very inhumane way. And my friend said, we're taking
- 59:36the rat, Yeah. And we're going home.
- 59:37They rescued the rat. Wow.
- 59:40And eventually. Inhumane way.
- 59:41What was this psychopath doing? They spared me the details,
- 59:45yeah. I said I don't.
- 59:47Want to know the details? But they did have a rat for a
- 59:50little while, and then they found, they found another home
- 59:52for her. But so, yeah, I mean, I guess
- 59:55there's sort of a grassroots movement of saving rats.
- 59:59Yeah, you could say. I'd like to be.
- 1:00:01Part of that, yeah, yeah. I'm sure.
- 1:00:02There's somebody who rescues rats.
- 1:00:04There's. Definitely.
- 1:00:05Yeah. Yeah, there's more than likely
- 1:00:08the type of women I date. One of them is bad one.
- 1:00:12Of them I'm sure, if they weren't.
- 1:00:13At the time, they're just gonna. Say, maybe go back through the
- 1:00:17Rolodex and see see who is rescuing rats.
- 1:00:20One of you. Guys loves rats, yeah.
- 1:00:22Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:00:24You know, I bet if you had one of those, you know, the show
- 1:00:28that you do that, that promotes rescuing dogs, I bet you would
- 1:00:32get a different kind of audience participation if it was for
- 1:00:38rats. I want.
- 1:00:39To do like a lizard one or something like I just, I just
- 1:00:42have to like find them because those are, I mean, it's already
- 1:00:45hard getting all these animals like like dogs and cats rescued.
- 1:00:49That's why I said the neuter your pets very early.
- 1:00:52But like, yeah, like reptiles that like that's such a niche.
- 1:00:56Yeah. Like you got to be like a type
- 1:00:57of person you. And you also have to like going
- 1:01:00to comedy shows, that's true. Yeah, you know what?
- 1:01:03The whole show is a big ask, you're right.
- 1:01:07And that's why. Everyone should follow insane
- 1:01:09ground posse on Instagram and neuter your dogs.
- 1:01:13Neuter your. Dogs, I'm picking up where Bob
- 1:01:14Barker left off. I was.
- 1:01:17Just gonna. Say you are the the modern Bob
- 1:01:20Barker, that's what. They say I'm the Bob Barker of
- 1:01:22comedy. When you come, sit down, I try
- 1:01:25to kiss you. You come to my show, I'm like
- 1:01:28and. I'm gonna yeah, that's but I
- 1:01:31but. I also kiss the men.
- 1:01:32It's not just the, it's. And it's.
- 1:01:34Not just the women, it's not. Just the women.
- 1:01:36I also see the men 'cause I think he would only do the women
- 1:01:42if I remember correctly and. And that in your right and
- 1:01:44usually kind of the younger ones, yeah.
- 1:01:47But he was passionate about neutering your dogs neutering.
- 1:01:50So. Yeah, and we need that now more
- 1:01:53than ever, yes. Neuter.
- 1:01:54Pets Neuter. Your pets and be careful with
- 1:01:58your virtual assistants at home. OK, Yeah.
- 1:02:02That was just the end I. Guess I mean, do you have
- 1:02:04anything else? I mean, I could have we have the
- 1:02:08full time, but I don't know. Yeah, You know, I'm trying to.
- 1:02:12I'm thinking how long? How long have we been here?
- 1:02:14We've been here, I think long enough.
- 1:02:16OK, it's up. To you, it's your show.
- 1:02:18Well, do you have anything else that you want to add that we
- 1:02:20didn't decide I'm trying to? Think we missed anything else
- 1:02:22but Smart Smart house. I did have a you know, it's
- 1:02:24interesting. Another thing, I have a smart
- 1:02:27house shirt, but I couldn't find it in time.
- 1:02:29You couldn't. Find it.
- 1:02:30Yeah, that's too bad. I got.
- 1:02:31It from the same person I got that blank check shirt from.
- 1:02:34Dang. Yeah, that was a sick shirt.
- 1:02:37It was. And it was a very similar shirt,
- 1:02:39Dang. It.
- 1:02:40Well, will you send me the link to that?
- 1:02:43It's gone all right. Because it's one of those like
- 1:02:45they make it and then once it's gone, it's gone.
- 1:02:48So when they. Do that I know.
- 1:02:50But also that does make you a lot cooler for having gotten it
- 1:02:53when you did. That's true man, hate that.
- 1:02:57Well, I guess you know what let's end on this.
- 1:02:59What was your experience like rewatching it?
- 1:03:01Did you have fun? I.
- 1:03:03Did cuz when I was a kid, I loved that movie.
- 1:03:05Me too. Like I was obsessed with it.
- 1:03:07And so watching an adult, I'm like, this is great.
- 1:03:09I still want the house totally. Like it's but it is interesting
- 1:03:13cuz when I was a kid, you know, you relate with a kid and I'm
- 1:03:16like a grown man. I'm like, I'm like the dad
- 1:03:18totally. But he like has a newspaper.
- 1:03:20I'm like, that'd do that shit. Yeah, like I'll take a house for
- 1:03:24a woman. Totally yours.
- 1:03:27I'd be like. I don't.
- 1:03:27Know what? You signed me up, son?
- 1:03:29Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:03:30I did like that she was actually very competent.
- 1:03:33She was so cool. She was she was a catch the.
- 1:03:37Absolute smartest person in the yeah.
- 1:03:39Well, cuz she's very smart. She was like pretty and she was
- 1:03:42very nice. Yeah.
- 1:03:43Like, and she has the rat. She had all these things going
- 1:03:47for her. Yeah, like, yeah.
- 1:03:49Like I couldn't think of like I'd let her be my mom of.
- 1:03:52Course, I'd love for her to be my mom, Sam.
- 1:03:54Yeah. Pat really should have done some
- 1:03:57machine learning based off of her.
- 1:03:59Yeah. I.
- 1:04:00Think she kind of does like this implied, like, later she's like,
- 1:04:03yeah, now she's this, you know? Yeah.
- 1:04:05That's true. Did we?
- 1:04:06Ever say which TV moms would moms or moms?
- 1:04:10I think I said, I think I said Helga Patakis.
- 1:04:12But that's crazy. Yeah.
- 1:04:13I kind of think there's like an actual like, like sweet mom from
- 1:04:18back then then. But like, it was always giving
- 1:04:20good advice. I feel like there's a lot of TV
- 1:04:22dads that do stuff. Yeah.
- 1:04:24You know, Yeah. Are you Googling top TV moms?
- 1:04:26I'm looking at best. TV moms.
- 1:04:27Yeah, best. TV.
- 1:04:28Yeah, give me the list. OK, let's go to Nick do.
- 1:04:33You have any go to TV moms? Yeah, Hey.
- 1:04:38Moms OK Felicia from The Cosby Show OK Joe Marie Payton from
- 1:04:49Family Matters. OK.
- 1:04:53Vicki Lawrence, The Carol Burnett Show, Lauren Graham,
- 1:04:56Gilmore Girls. She had some issues, though.
- 1:04:58Oh. Lorelei or yeah, Marge Simpsons.
- 1:05:01Marge, Marge Simpsons. Good.
- 1:05:04Aunt Viv was good, Yeah. She was a great mother figure to
- 1:05:07like even Will, who wasn't even her own child.
- 1:05:09Totally. Man.
- 1:05:12When she came to the school and taught black history for those
- 1:05:15episodes, that was fucking tight.
- 1:05:17Yeah. Yeah, it was tight, yeah.
- 1:05:19The Mom and Boy Meets World. She's very nice.
- 1:05:23She's cool, yeah. She was kind of a classic, like,
- 1:05:26I don't know, yeah. She was a good mom.
- 1:05:29And, like, I like their relationship.
- 1:05:30The mom and the dad. Yeah.
- 1:05:32He's like a grocery store manager.
- 1:05:34Yeah. Somehow afford a house still.
- 1:05:35Yeah. God, that's really a theme I
- 1:05:37know. Yeah, housing used to be easy
- 1:05:40back in the day. Must.
- 1:05:41Be headlines for a full. House didn't have a mom.
- 1:05:44Yeah, that famously, Yeah, famously didn't have a mom.
- 1:05:47Did. You watch Full House?
- 1:05:50Yeah. So I'm obsessed with Full House.
- 1:05:51And one of the craziest episodes, yeah, is that episode
- 1:05:57where Michelle gets amnesia from falling off the horse.
- 1:06:00Wow. I love it.
- 1:06:00And they're all in the room. And it's like, so you're my dad,
- 1:06:04right? And he's like, yeah.
- 1:06:06It's like, so then where's my mom?
- 1:06:10And they had to, like, retell her with amnesia at age 13.
- 1:06:14It's like, so your mom died. Yeah.
- 1:06:17When I was when you were a baby, Right.
- 1:06:20And she was like, and I was like, why did they do this?
- 1:06:24Like. Why would you, if she has
- 1:06:26amnesia, like, just just tell her like she's not here right
- 1:06:29now and then like wait for her to get her memory bag, Yeah.
- 1:06:32I mean, I don't know, they had. I can't remember how she handled
- 1:06:34it the second time, but also she had that type of amnesia where
- 1:06:38everything was normal except she couldn't remember like the
- 1:06:40people around her totally. She was like, hey everyone, who
- 1:06:43were you? Well, because you'd.
- 1:06:44Think if you had amnesia you'd be like, I've thought about this
- 1:06:48before because the Amnesia's always like I was.
- 1:06:50Just going to say it's not era people, yeah.
- 1:06:53It's like who are? You guys And like, not like,
- 1:06:57hey, there's some pain in my stomach.
- 1:07:01And they're like, oh, like you have to shit.
- 1:07:04Yeah. And she's like, what's shitting?
- 1:07:08And they have to like reteach her how to shit right?
- 1:07:10Totally. Instead they just had to retell
- 1:07:12her that her mom died. Yeah.
- 1:07:14I know, I know that it's not as fun.
- 1:07:17Yeah, yeah, it's not as. Fun any?
- 1:07:20Other lists. Moms on the list.
- 1:07:22Peggy Hill, King of the Hill, OH.
- 1:07:24She's awful, dude, Yeah. Peggy Hill's like one of the.
- 1:07:27Worst moms of all time. She's Dunning Kruger's syndrome,
- 1:07:30yeah. She's like she's.
- 1:07:32Not a good Yeah, I'm kind of yeah again.
- 1:07:35Moira Rose is on a list Like she's not like a like she's
- 1:07:38funny. Who's Moira Rose from Chit's
- 1:07:42Creek? I've.
- 1:07:42Never seen that. Yeah.
- 1:07:43Morticia Adams Little. Yeah, she's good.
- 1:07:45I mean, she's she's a devoted mother.
- 1:07:48Yeah. Very elegant.
- 1:07:49Are there any? Cartoon Moms.
- 1:07:52Linda Belcher. Love Linda Belcher?
- 1:07:55Yeah. She's fine, but she is like
- 1:07:57Peggy Hill kind of similarities, you know?
- 1:07:59Yeah, totally. We're like.
- 1:08:01What what I want her is my mom. No.
- 1:08:03Oh. Angelica's mom.
- 1:08:05Oh yeah, fucking. She was, dude, she was.
- 1:08:09She's a boss mom. She was fucking.
- 1:08:11She was running. Fortune.
- 1:08:13Fortune. Fortune.
- 1:08:14How? What is it?
- 1:08:15Fortune 100? Fortune. 500 But I think she was
- 1:08:17more like, it was more like a Fortune 10, like she was just
- 1:08:20Wheeling and dealing and she had.
- 1:08:21Like Jonathan, her little assistant and stuff.
- 1:08:24Loved. Her.
- 1:08:26A lot of the moms on that show were pretty good.
- 1:08:28Dee Dee was good. Yeah.
- 1:08:30Betty Deville is good, right? Let's see, best cartoon moms.
- 1:08:41You know not. Seeing a lot that really who
- 1:08:49are. They because I feel like a lot
- 1:08:51of the cartoon, this is going to sound crazy, but I feel like a
- 1:08:53lot of the cartoon moms like didn't have much of personality.
- 1:08:56They were just kind of like thick.
- 1:08:59And I remember being like, I'm just like, Jimmy's mom, you say?
- 1:09:03Right. Jimmy Neutron or Dexter's mom,
- 1:09:06you say? Or Timmy Turner's mom, you say.
- 1:09:10Let's see what. Let's.
- 1:09:12See what people on R slash cartoons have to say.
- 1:09:17Linda Belcher, Mother bear. From Little Bear, yeah.
- 1:09:22Yeah, she's. A good mom.
- 1:09:24Della Duck Q. Della Duck Q.
- 1:09:28OK, let's see, Mother. Bear is a weird one, yeah.
- 1:09:34That is kind of a weird one. The whale from from Flapjack.
- 1:09:39Never seen Flapjack. Never.
- 1:09:41Seen it? Yeah.
- 1:09:43Dexter's laboratory. Laboratory.
- 1:09:45Dexter's Laboratory. Where they?
- 1:09:51Teach kids at the amnesia how to shit again.
- 1:09:56OK, that's enough of that. Cool.
- 1:09:58Yeah, that didn't. Yield anything, I'm sorry.
- 1:10:02I thought. We'd come back to that.
- 1:10:03I thought there was another 30 minutes of that, yeah.
- 1:10:06Honestly, we could have done another 30 minutes of that, but
- 1:10:08I will say that I did really enjoy rewatching Smart House.
- 1:10:12I had a blast. I thought that they, you know,
- 1:10:16they set it up, they executed it, and it had an emotional
- 1:10:20hook. Totally.
- 1:10:22And it resolved. Yeah.
- 1:10:23And I felt, like, confident that they weren't going to run into
- 1:10:27this situation again. It's almost like their
- 1:10:30technology went too far and they dialed it back and learn from
- 1:10:36their mistake. Totally.
- 1:10:37And if only we could ever experience that again.
- 1:10:42Yeah, I think. The movie was longer, like Sarah
- 1:10:45would go missing because the the government, like, took her, you
- 1:10:47know, totally to use that technology.
- 1:10:50Yeah. Totally she would be.
- 1:10:52She would be missing once. That local newspaper gets to the
- 1:10:55government. Oh my.
- 1:10:56God, you know, And they're on the beat.
- 1:10:58Yeah. Well, BK, other than neutering
- 1:11:03your dogs, is there anything else you want to leave the
- 1:11:05listeners with? No.
- 1:11:06Just Instagram and I mean, well, that's.
- 1:11:11It that's so that's. That's.
- 1:11:12And Lesnar, so do. I don't hold us to anything that
- 1:11:16we have said. Who are we?
- 1:11:18I know. Sometimes I have so much fun on
- 1:11:19a podcast and I'm like, Oh yeah, like, people watch this.
- 1:11:22Not just like me and my friend, you know?
- 1:11:24And it's like, I mean, well, I'm a good person.
- 1:11:28And if. Nothing else.
- 1:11:29Remember that we really mean well and we are good people.
- 1:11:32Yeah. And with that, just go ahead and
- 1:11:35write only nice things in the comments.
- 1:11:37I would love that so much. If you have anything mean to say
- 1:11:40keep it to yourself or write it to me in a DM so I can delete
- 1:11:44it. All right, love you all.
- 1:11:45Bye.
