- 0:05Speaker 1: Time now to catch up with Country Weekly, where we
- 0:08check out news and gossip from the world of country music.
- 0:12I'm your host, Ken Dawkins, and I will be reading
- 0:15from various sources found online. As a reminder, RADIOI is
- 0:19a reading service intended for people who are blind or
- 0:22have other disabilities that make it difficult to read printed material.
- 0:26We'll begin with the first article, dated March eleventh, from
- 0:30countrynow dot com. Kelsey Ballerini's Las Vegas show canceled without explanation.
- 0:37Fans seek answers. Kelsey Ballerini's fans are buzzing with concern
- 0:43after her March twenty eighth Las Vegas concert was unexpectedly
- 0:47canceled without any explanation. The five time Grammy nominee was
- 0:51originally scheduled to bring her twenty twenty five headlining tour
- 0:54Kelsey Ballerini Live to t Mobile Arena in Sin City
- 0:58on March twenty eighth. However, over the past twenty four hours,
- 1:01several TikTok users have made videos on the platform sharing
- 1:05their confusion after receiving an email from the venue informing
- 1:09them of the show's cancelation. One disappointed fan made a
- 1:12video directed at Ballerini, revealing that she is going through
- 1:16the five Stages of grief after seeing the disheartening news
- 1:19come across her inbox. This video is for Kelsey and
- 1:23Kelsey Ballerini only, girl. Please say like right now, Please
- 1:27say please. I'm supposed to see you in Vegas in
- 1:29two weeks. I don't know if you know this, but
- 1:32you just dropped some bangers. First of all, the users shared,
- 1:35I've been daydreaming about this concert for I don't know
- 1:37how long. I don't know why it's canceled. Please reschedule it.
- 1:40I'm stressed out. It was the only thing I was
- 1:43looking forward to this year. The user isn't alone and
- 1:46her frustration. Many fans shared her upset, especially those who
- 1:50had already booked non refundable flights and hotel stays for
- 1:53the event. Additionally, seeing as she just unveiled the deluxe
- 1:57edition of her Patterns album, her Sin City listeners were
- 2:00eager to celebrate the new tracks during her live show.
- 2:04No because I literally just got the same email and
- 2:06I'm freaking out. Another user shared, I'm so upset about this,
- 2:09said another, adding to the confusion. The March twenty eighth
- 2:13show no longer appears on Kelsey Ballerini's official website nor
- 2:17the T Mobile Arena calendar. However, tickets are still available
- 2:21for purchase on Ticketmaster, further fueling the speculation about the
- 2:25reason for this sudden cancelation. Some fans are hoping the
- 2:28concert might be moved to a different venue instead of
- 2:31being completely canceled or rescheduled to a later date. So far,
- 2:36Ballerini has remained silent on the matter, leaving fans anxiously
- 2:39awaiting an answer. Her silence is deafening and ghosting the
- 2:42Las Vegas ticket holders is odd, a user wrote. Ballerini
- 2:47was forced to cut one show short and reschedule two
- 2:50others last month after falling ill. While she tried her
- 2:53best to make it through every show in an attempt
- 2:55to not disappoint her fans, she ultimately realized she needed
- 2:59to take the time off to rest and recover. Once
- 3:02the new plans were made, she took a social media
- 3:04to give fans the update and promise to come back
- 3:07bigger and better. So we are rescheduling tonight Buffalo tomorrow,
- 3:11Pittsburgh in the next day, Toronto to the end of
- 3:13the tour April eleventh, twelfth, and thirteenth, Ballerini shared, I
- 3:17will make them the best shows I've ever played in
- 3:19my whole life. The pattern singer has had a major
- 3:22start to the year as Kelsey Ballerini Live on Tour
- 3:25twenty five marks a very first arena tour. Whether going
- 3:29through a breakup, celebrating a new love, or simply honoring
- 3:31their friendship, this show has become a place for fans
- 3:34to come together and find solace in her vulnerable tunes.
- 3:38Ballerini's next schedule to take the stage at the Climate
- 3:40Pledge Arena in Seattle on March thirteenth. Next, Lone Star
- 3:46Jam announces hiatus for twenty twenty five after seventeen years.
- 3:52Lone Star Jam, known for being the biggest Texas country
- 3:55and red Dirt festival in Central Texas, will not offer
- 3:58its usual Memorial Day weekend event in twenty twenty five.
- 4:02The festival announced the news across their social media, stating
- 4:05that due to a series of new challenges that have
- 4:07arose this year, they have decided to take a temporary pause.
- 4:12The heartfelt statement was dedicated to the incredible Lone Star
- 4:15Jam family, who have shown unwavering support for the two
- 4:18day event since its inaugural year in two thousand and eight.
- 4:21Year after year, thousands of music lovers continue to take
- 4:24part in the tradition of uniting and enjoying performances by
- 4:28some of Texas best country artists. The Post indicated that
- 4:32despite all their efforts in seventeen amazing years, their best
- 4:35option at the moment is to take a break for
- 4:37the year and hopefully come back even better next year.
- 4:41We've made a difficult decision to pause Lone Star Jam
- 4:44in twenty twenty five. Rising production costs, logistical challenges, and
- 4:49the changing landscape of live music events have made it
- 4:52increasingly difficult to produce a festival at the level you deserve.
- 4:57We've worked tirelessly this year to curate a lineup that
- 4:59we were proud of, and we didn't think the options
- 5:01were good enough for our fans. Because you deserve the best,
- 5:05we felt pausing in twenty twenty five was the right decision.
- 5:09The festival may be on pause, but organizers tease the
- 5:11potential of other opportunities for fans to come together and
- 5:15celebrate their love for the Texas country music scene throughout
- 5:18the year. This is not goodbye. While Lone Star Jam
- 5:21is on pause, this year, we still plan to offer
- 5:24our fans unique opportunities to enjoy more live Texas country music.
- 5:28Stay tuned for more details as we work on keeping
- 5:31the spirit of l SJ alive this year. While the
- 5:34twenty twenty five Lone Star Jam lineup was never announced,
- 5:38last year's event was a memorable one as it was
- 5:40headlined by Lee Brice, Eli Young Band, Robert Earl Keene,
- 5:43and Casey Donahue. Over the years, the festival has welcome
- 5:47to stellar lineup of acts including Randy Rogers Band, Josh
- 5:50Abbott Band, Wade Bowen, Shane Smith, and many more. Next,
- 5:55Ashley McBride celebrates major milestone one thousand days sober. Ashley
- 6:02McBride is celebrating a huge personal milestone. Over the weekend,
- 6:05the Grammy Award winner revealed that she has officially been
- 6:07sober for one thousand days. McBride previously opened up about
- 6:12her journey to sobriety with people and reveal that she
- 6:15quit drinking alcohol in June of twenty twenty two. She
- 6:18kept things tight lipped about her decisions for about a year,
- 6:21and then on November twenty eighth of last year, the
- 6:23Grand Old Opry member celebrated being nine hundred days sober
- 6:27in her vulnerable Instagram post. At the time, McBride explained
- 6:31she'd come to the conclusion that she had two options,
- 6:34continue and die or stop and learn to live. Reflecting
- 6:38on the pain she'd caused herself and others, she knew
- 6:40it was time to take action, and it turned out
- 6:42to be the best decision she's ever made. Her commitment
- 6:45to sobriety has clearly had a profound impact on her life,
- 6:49and while it hasn't been an easy journey, every step
- 6:51was worth it to reach this incredible thousand day milestone.
- 6:56McBride's latest post featured a photo of her holding up
- 6:58a poster that read one thousand days Sober in bold
- 7:01black letters. The caption went on to list all the
- 7:04great things that have happened over the last thousand days
- 7:07as a result of her sobriety. Getting to this point
- 7:10has given McBride a new found appreciation and pride for
- 7:13anyone else who might be on a similar path and
- 7:15struggling to reach their goals. She made sure to encourage
- 7:18others to be proud of themselves and to keep moving forward,
- 7:21no matter how many steps backwards they may have to
- 7:23take along the way wherever you are in your journey,
- 7:27day one, day zero, day four hundred. It's worth it
- 7:30every day as a milestone. Every version of you is
- 7:32necessary to be who you are. You have to love them,
- 7:36she added in conclusion. The comment section of the post
- 7:40was filled with supportive messages, of course, from both fans
- 7:42and fellow country stars, commending her on the incredible achievement.
- 7:47Ashley McBride has a few dates left serving as special
- 7:50guest for Cody Johnson's twenty twenty five Leather Deluxe to her.
- 7:53In addition to these performances, she will also make a
- 7:56variety of festival appearances at Stagecoach, Country thid Under Arizona,
- 8:01Country Thunder Florida, and Country Thunder Wisconsin. Moving on, Bailey
- 8:06Zimmerman reflects on Houston Rodeo debut in front of sixty
- 8:10nine thousand fans. Bailey Zimmerman is on cloud nine after
- 8:15playing the biggest show of his career at the Houston
- 8:17Livestock Show and Rodeo on Saturday. The chart topping country
- 8:21star reflected on the magical night by sharing his iconic
- 8:24entrance into NRG Stadium with photos and his next level
- 8:27performance on social media, it was a milestone moment, and
- 8:31Zimmerman couldn't help but share the excitement with his fans.
- 8:35Reflecting on the night, Zimmerman shared, I played the biggest
- 8:37show of my life last night. He admitted to being
- 8:41insanely nervous as anybody would be before stepping on to
- 8:44the stage in front of seventy thousand people, but the
- 8:46show went on and Zimmerman couldn't be happier. Sixty nine
- 8:49thou one hundred and twenty four exactly showed up to
- 8:52scream my songs with me, and I wish I could
- 8:55say thank you to every one of you all. It
- 8:57was truly a dream come true and I'll remember it
- 8:59for the rest of my life life, he wrote alongside
- 9:01a crying face emoji. For his epic entrance, Zimmerman rolled
- 9:05in on the bed of massive jacked up pickup truck,
- 9:07shouting Houston makes some noise. As the truck neared the stage,
- 9:11the singer songwriter jumped up and down, pumping his hands
- 9:14in the air, which got the crowd even more excited
- 9:16for his performance. Dressed in a cowboy hat, a cut
- 9:19off shirt with IHA on the back, and cowprint pants.
- 9:22He made his way to the stage in style my instruments.
- 9:26My entrance to the Houston Rodeo felt like a movie,
- 9:28he captured in a video of the unforgettable moment. In closing,
- 9:32Zimmerman wrote, I love you Rodeo, Houston, can't wait to
- 9:35come back, and went on to encourage fans to chase
- 9:38your freaking dreams. Bailey Zimmerman's performance at the Houston Livestock
- 9:42Show and Rodeo comes just ahead of his twenty twenty
- 9:44five headlining tour, the New Country Tour, where he's set
- 9:48to headline some of the biggest venues of his career
- 9:50so far. Multiple stops sold out within minutes of the
- 9:53on sale, leaving the Holy Smoke singer almost at a
- 9:57loss for words. Reflecting on the sold out show, Zimmermann
- 10:00recently told us it gives you a lot of confidence.
- 10:03It was a really good feeling. Twenty twenty five is
- 10:06slated to be another massive year for the rising superstar,
- 10:08who also teased that new music is on the way.
- 10:11Fans can visit his official website for a full list
- 10:14of upcoming tour dates, which include stops at Country Thunder,
- 10:18Arizona and sand in My Boots Festival along with others
- 10:22whilst the season of festival announcements, so as we move
- 10:25over to Saving Country Music for news and commentary. First
- 10:30articles dated March eleventh, Born and Raised Festival on Vale's
- 10:33big line up for twenty twenty five. It will be
- 10:37a big time in Prior, Oklahoma for the twenty twenty
- 10:40five installment of the Born and Raised Festival September tenth
- 10:43and thirteenth headliners Cody Jinks, Parker McCollum and Treaty Oak
- 10:48Revival will make sure there's a rock edge to this
- 10:50country Red Dirt Festival with Jamie Johnson, BlackBerry Smoke, Randy
- 10:54Rogers Band forty nine, Winchester Old sixty and Gavin Adcock
- 10:59rounding out the top of the roster. Other big names
- 11:02in the lineup include Silverada, who should be headliners, says
- 11:06Saving Country Music. Braxton Keith and Hudson Westbrook are along
- 11:09with Wade Bowen and Jason Boland at a bunch of others.
- 11:13You have to go five lines down to find the
- 11:15first women on the line up, but there's actually quite
- 11:18a few of them, and good ones at that. Taylor Honeycutt,
- 11:21the Castellos Courtney Patton, Jamie Lynn Wilson, Maggie Antone, Gabriella Rose,
- 11:26Ashland Kraft, and Shelby Stone all make the list. Born
- 11:31and Raised is held on the Rock and Red Dirt
- 11:33ranch that's also famous for hosting the massive Rock Klahoma
- 11:36Festival each year. The festival was previously co owned by
- 11:40ae G before being bought by Danny Wimmer Presents in
- 11:43early twenty twenty four and then sold back to the
- 11:46original owners prior Creek Music Festivals in December of last year.
- 11:51Born and Raised is held on a very busy weekend
- 11:53for festivals. According to SABY Country Music's Festival Guide, Americana
- 11:57Fest and Bourbon and Beyond both also have and on
- 12:00that same weekend. Pre sale for Born and Ray starts
- 12:03at ten am Central on March twelfth. Next, Clay Walker
- 12:09to star and biopic film on the life of Randy Travis.
- 12:14What's for certain is that Randy Travis has lived one
- 12:16of the most wild, intriguing, entertaining, inspiring and heartbreaking lives
- 12:20in country music. The ups and downs, the twists and turns,
- 12:24from superstardom to virtual destitution thanks to his health and
- 12:28manipulations of his former wife manager Lib Hatcher. It's certainly
- 12:32fit for a movie. Now one is coming together and
- 12:35with the help of another country star. Announced this week,
- 12:38a biopic film on the life of Randy Travis as
- 12:40being developed, with Clay Walker on board as an executive
- 12:44producer and as the guy cast to play Randy Travis
- 12:47later in life. To be called Forever and Ever Amen.
- 12:51Like Randy's twenty nineteen memoir, it will follow Randy's life
- 12:55over many decades. Andrew Hyatt wrote the script for the
- 12:58film and will also direct it. Randy and his wife,
- 13:01Mary Travis will also be executive producers. Randy Travis is
- 13:05the voice of a generation and one of the greatest
- 13:07country singers of all time. I am truly honored to
- 13:10be part of this project and cannot believe I get
- 13:12to play one of my heroes, says Clay Walker, who
- 13:15will play Travis in his forties and fifties. They are
- 13:18currently casting the rest of the film, including looking for
- 13:21actors to play Travis around nine to twelve years of
- 13:23age and another at twenty to thirty years of age.
- 13:27The film production was announced on Wednesday, March fifth, at
- 13:29a special event at the Grand Old Opry House. In
- 13:32an event celebrating Randy. Travis, Sacred Art House and Trad
- 13:37Lively are also on board as producers. Since the production
- 13:40is still early on, there is no estimated time of
- 13:42release at this point. Despite Randy's health setbacks that have
- 13:47left him unable to perform, he continues to remain active
- 13:50in music, recently announcing new dates on his More Life tour,
- 13:54where performer James Duprie sings with members of Randy's original
- 13:57backing band. Travis is also now two AI assisted singles.
- 14:03More information will come through Saving Country Music when it
- 14:06becomes available next. Tyler Childers ghosted Ernest's and post Malone
- 14:13over Morgan Wallen affiliation. Tyler Childers apparently wanted to have
- 14:18nothing to do with Ernest and post Malone while they
- 14:20were hanging with Morgan Wallen, according to recent revelations by Ernest.
- 14:25According to Ernest, on the night that massive hit I
- 14:28Had Some Help was recorded that paired Morgan Wallen and
- 14:30post Malone together in the studio, Tyler Childers happened to
- 14:34be in Nashville as well and texted post Malone to
- 14:37see if he wanted to hang out. Tyler Childs was
- 14:39at a currently undisclosed bar in East Nashville at the time,
- 14:43but when it wasn't just Post Malone who showed up,
- 14:46but an entire entourage of pop country names childres fled as.
- 14:51Ernest tells the story on an Instagram video. The night
- 14:54we wrote I had some help. We were all in
- 14:56the studio, Post, Morgan, Me, Charlie Hansom, Ashley Gorley, Chandler Walters,
- 15:01and Tyler texted Post come meet us at a bar
- 15:03and he was like, all right, bring in the fellas.
- 15:06So we get to this bar, which was in East Nashville.
- 15:09I was already skeptical. We get to the bar. I
- 15:11walk in first, Post and Morgan are outside of the
- 15:14bar talking to fans. I walk in, tap Taylor on
- 15:16the shoulder. Hey, how's it going. I'm Ernest. Hey, Ernest,
- 15:20good to meet you. Hey, the boys are right behind me.
- 15:22They're coming in. He looks oversees them and then he
- 15:25leans over to his friend and says something. He goes, Hey, Ernest,
- 15:28you want to have a seat. I was like, yeah, sure.
- 15:31He gets up, gives me a seat, and then I
- 15:33turn around and he walks out the other side of
- 15:34the bar, not to be heard from or seen again,
- 15:37didn't text post back, none of that, just when am
- 15:40I A I get it politics. The caption Ernest included
- 15:44with the video said still love you Timmy ty Chylers,
- 15:47and he said later, let's be clear, I respect it.
- 15:50So clearly Ernest carries no bad blood. Where things stand
- 15:53between Tyler Childers and post Malone is undetermined. Especially over
- 15:57the last few years. Tyler has been a very private person,
- 16:01avoiding social media and not really meeting with fans or
- 16:03anyone else. He also got sober in twenty twenty, so
- 16:07even though he might have been hanging out in a
- 16:08bar in East Nashville, was unlikely he was drinking or
- 16:11wanting to socialize in a larger crowd. Childers and post
- 16:15Malone might know each other through Sturgel Simpson. Many people
- 16:18around Tyler Childers have confirmed he's taken a very from
- 16:21the bus to the stage stance in the last few
- 16:23years due to trying to remain sober and in a
- 16:26good state of mental health. That is why his openness
- 16:30with members of the Black Free Tribe in Montana at
- 16:32a benefit he headlined in twenty twenty four was so exceptional.
- 16:36Ernest decided to tell the story after first alluding to
- 16:39it on a Bustin with the Boys podcast episode that
- 16:43earlier in the week with Jelly Roll. It led to
- 16:46much speculation to what had happened, which inspired Ernest to
- 16:49tell the full story. Moving along, it's official. There are
- 16:54now four generations of Scruggs musicians. It's been proven time
- 16:59and time again country music that pedigree can be a
- 17:01real thing. That's most certainly the case when it comes
- 17:04to the House of Scruggs. The family's grand patriarch is,
- 17:08of course, Earl Scruggs himself, one of the most important
- 17:11banjo players of all time, so much so that he
- 17:14has his own banjo technique called Shrug Style named after him.
- 17:18Of course, and his time has gone on, the apples
- 17:20havn't fallen too far from the proverbial tree. Earl's two sons,
- 17:24Randy and Gary, were also big players in country music.
- 17:28Both were renowned session musicians, touring musicians, songwriters and producers
- 17:33who won Cmas, Grammy Awards, and accrude thousands of studio
- 17:37and songwriter credits between them. They also performed with their
- 17:41father and the Earl Scruggs Review. After their father left
- 17:44flattened Scrugs, and they played in their own band as well.
- 17:47Both also were considered instrumental to the Will the Circle
- 17:51Be Unbroken sessions with the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. The
- 17:54Scrug's name has been kept alive in today's country music
- 17:57thanks to the multi instrumentalist Chris Scruggs, who is the
- 18:00grandson of Earl and the youngest son of Gary. Chris's
- 18:04mother is also Gail Davies, the third generation Scrugs to
- 18:07come to prominence during the revitalization of Lower Broadway in Nashville,
- 18:11performing in the throwback country band b R five four nine.
- 18:15Chris has since become one of the most revered musicians
- 18:18and producers in Nashville, and is also a permanent member
- 18:21of Marty Stewart's Fabulous Superlatives. For a while, the young
- 18:25son of Chris Suggs Scruggs, has been seen on stage
- 18:28as well. Ben Scruggs, has been a fun feature as
- 18:31a cute kid who comes up on stage and says
- 18:33precocious things. Similar to his father and grandfather. He's grown
- 18:37up around the music, but now that Ben is ten
- 18:39years old, things are starting to get much more serious
- 18:42for the young man. Similar to Randy Gary and Chris,
- 18:45Ben Scruggs is finding his way in more vintage sounding music,
- 18:49but for Ben that comes in the form of rockabilly,
- 18:52though only available on CD at the moment, He's recorded
- 18:55a selection of Sun Records classics that he's been passing
- 18:58around and by all accounts, the young man has something.
- 19:01That's what Marty Stewart thought, and so did the Grand
- 19:04Old Opry who invited him to perform. So on Saturday,
- 19:08March first, Ben Scruggs officially made his Grand Old Opry debut,
- 19:11was a guest of Marty Stewart and the Fabulous Superlatives
- 19:15performing selections from his Rockabilly album and received not one,
- 19:18not two, but three standing ovations from the Opry audience.
- 19:22The fourth generation Scrug says he now wants to start
- 19:25recording more original material, hoping to make his way into
- 19:28a historic RCA studio B and make a serious career
- 19:32of making music. It appears the Scrug's name won't be
- 19:35fading from memory anytime soon. And speaking of Marty Stewart,
- 19:40his surf Guitar album is finally on the way. For
- 19:43years now, the indomitable Marty Stewart has been teasing us
- 19:46mercilessly about a surf guitar album or some sort of
- 19:50instrumental work that he's had in the can, but divulging
- 19:53only scant details and never giving a solid answer about
- 19:56when it would finally be released as a certified twanger.
- 20:00Among his many attributes, we couldn't wait to get more
- 20:03info on this elusive project as saving country music. Well,
- 20:07ladies and gents, here it is. Finally. Let's get the
- 20:09somewhat bad news out first, which is you won't be
- 20:11able to sit online waiting for midnight Eastern for this
- 20:14thing to populate on the release day. It's being released
- 20:18exclusively as part of Record Store Day on April twelfth
- 20:21via Snake Farm Records. At least initially, that means you'll
- 20:25have to change out of your pajamas, hoof it down
- 20:28to whatever passes for your Sam Goodie these days, and
- 20:31push past someone looking for Gloria's Stepan Live in eighty
- 20:34five or whatever other silly rs the exclusive to score
- 20:37your copy. The good news is that all indications are
- 20:41that Marty Stewart's double instrumental LP, officially titled Space Junk,
- 20:45will be completely badass. Instrumentals have always been a part
- 20:49of a fabulous superlatives repertoire, but this is the first
- 20:52completely instrumental album we've done. Largely inspired by two of
- 20:56my favorite bands from the sixties, The Ventures and Herb
- 21:00Albert and the Tijajana Brass, Stuart says they did some
- 21:04dangerously cool instrumental records. We've done bluegrass, gospel and country records.
- 21:09Our hearts just led us to this one. The fabulous
- 21:12superlatives of Marty Stewart's legendary backing band, of course, consisting
- 21:16mostly or most recently of cousin Kenny Vaughan on guitar,
- 21:20Harry Stinson on the skins, and Chris Scruggs on bass,
- 21:24Space Junk turned us back into kids with our first guitars.
- 21:28We thought the world needed a fresh instrumental album by
- 21:30a pretty good band, so we composed twenty instrumentals and
- 21:33took them to the microphones. Just like Marty Stewart's last
- 21:37two releases, twenty seventeen's Way Out West as well as
- 21:40twenty twenty three's Altitude, Space Junk is very much inspired
- 21:44by country music from the West Coast. The creative atmosphere
- 21:49of California always gives me the feeling that the sky
- 21:51is a limit, Stuart said. Space Junk is California music.
- 21:55If you want a specific sound, you go to certain
- 21:57places in the world for the California so it's capital.
- 22:01You've got the blue Skies, the legacy, the romance, and
- 22:04a lot of friendly ghosts. The atmosphere makes you do
- 22:07a little better. True to his word, Marty Stewart and
- 22:10its Fabulous superlatives recorded the album at Capitol Recording Studios
- 22:13in Hollywood. Other tracks were recorded in Nashville at the
- 22:16House of Blues Studio, which rests near the Woodlawn Cemetery
- 22:20where George Jones, Marty Robbins and others are buried. Specifically,
- 22:24that's where the song Graveyard from the new album was recorded.
- 22:28And of course, Marty Stewart spent much of the time
- 22:30playing legendary West Coast country picker Clarence White's famous nineteen
- 22:35fifty four b Bender guitar. It's the same guitar Stuart
- 22:38played on his twenty ten song Hummingbird that went on
- 22:42to win a Grammy for Best Country Instrumental. So yeah,
- 22:45Stuart knows how to entertain folks without singing. I hope
- 22:49Space Junk takes the listeners for a ride. Stuart says,
- 22:52it makes me forget my problems and remember why I
- 22:55play guitar and get to dress up in cowboy clothes.
- 22:58It reminds me I'm okay. I wanted to do the
- 23:00same for you. Mainly, I want to inspire some kid
- 23:03to go to the store, buy an instrument and make
- 23:05a difference. This concept was passed down to us from
- 23:08the old heroes. If we can serve the same role,
- 23:11mission accomplished. Only seventeen hundred of these puppies will be
- 23:15made according to Record Store Day and peppered around at
- 23:19local record stores, hopefully some in Kentucky. Happy Hunting. The
- 23:23track list, Graveyard, All the Pretty Horses, Catalina, Over the Moon, Slipnote, Serenade,
- 23:29Space Junk, el Joro, Coastline, The Ballot of Lonely Surfer,
- 23:33bat Patrol Till We Meet Again, Waiting on Sundown, La

- 23:52to the boot dot Com with the first article dated
- 23:54March eleventh, Reba McIntyre gave the voice coach Michael Willblay
- 23:59the Country present Ever, Michael Bublay is leaning into his
- 24:04country side thanks to Reba MacIntyre showing off a new
- 24:07pair of custom piano boots gifted to him by the
- 24:10red headed Queen of Country herself. Bublay put on quite
- 24:13a show in Hawaiian board shorts and new kicks, his
- 24:16bare legs exposed in a video on social media. When
- 24:20Rebas sent me a pair of custom boots, I knew
- 24:22I had to up my game. Booblay writes. The boots
- 24:25show piano keys that are famously played by Bublay, and
- 24:28the boot brand Justin Boots commented to confirm that they
- 24:32made the now famous custom boots. Fans are having a
- 24:35lot of fun in the comments section, it's the shorts
- 24:38with the boots for me. One writes, you are too funny.
- 24:40O m G. You know once you break those in,
- 24:43you won't want to take em off cause they feel
- 24:45like wearing slippers and they're black, so they look good
- 24:48with a suit. Riba knows her boots, says another, be careful,
- 24:51Michael chokes some one else. Bublay is one of the
- 24:54current judges on The Voice, along with John Legend, Adam Levine,
- 24:58and Kelsey Ballerini. McIntyre stepped down from her The Voice post,
- 25:02she was a coach alongside Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg.
- 25:06Her gift to Boublet is more than likely to congratulate
- 25:08him on his continued role on the show. McIntyre left
- 25:11to continue working on her new sitcom, Happy's Plays and
- 25:16the Boot has a new list this week, fourteen country
- 25:19one hit wonders that deserved a second chance. If there's
- 25:23one thing to be learned from examining country music's one
- 25:25hit wonders, it's that the term isn't quite as simple
- 25:28as it seems. When people think one hit wonder, they
- 25:31think of an artist that came out of nowhere at
- 25:33least one big hit and were never heard from again.
- 25:36In reality, that's rarely the case. Most of the artists
- 25:39on this list of country music's one hit wonders or
- 25:41singers who had one big hit on country radio then
- 25:44veered off toward other musical styles or pursued more indie
- 25:48leaning fan bases. A couple of these one hit wonders
- 25:51did formally quit making music. After failing to follow up
- 25:53their big hit with another successful song. But without exception,
- 25:57those artists at least tried to mount a comeback in
- 26:00their careers. So this is a list of the boot's
- 26:03favorite one hit wonders in country music. Billy Ray Cyrus
- 26:07Achy Breaky Heart, perhaps one of country music's most famous
- 26:11one hit wonders. Billy Ray Cyrus scored a number one
- 26:13hit with that in nineteen ninety two, and he never
- 26:16again achieved that spot as a solo artist. James Otto
- 26:20Just Got Started Loving You a promising country newcomer in
- 26:23the late two thousands with a debut album co produced
- 26:26by Rascal Flats, Jay DeMarcus and Big and Rich's John Ridge.
- 26:31Burning House from Cam Cam took country radio by storm
- 26:35with Burning House in twenty sixteen, marking the only top
- 26:38ten country radio hit of her career. Jessica Andrews Who
- 26:43Am I I'm Sorry? Who I Am? Jessica Andrews Who
- 26:47I Am was her only single to crack the top twenty.
- 26:50You're the Best Break this Old Heart Ever had from
- 26:54Ed Bruce, who only saw mainstream recognition once as an artist,
- 26:58and You're the best break this Old hard ever had.
- 27:01But his legacy will be that of a songwriter Smoke
- 27:05from a Thousand Horses. They hit country radio pay dirt
- 27:08with Smoke, but they never again replicated the enormous level
- 27:11of commercial acclaim more one hit Wonders, Chuck Wicks Stealing Cinderella.
- 27:17Wick's debut singles Stealing Cinderella earned him number five slot
- 27:20on the country radio chart, but his next single's fizzled.
- 27:25What I Really Meant to Say from Cindy Thompson topped
- 27:27the charts in two thousand and one Heartland I Loved
- 27:31Her First. Their debut single was a hit at country radio.
- 27:34In two thousand and six, Bob Carlyle Butterfly Kisses. Contemporary
- 27:40Christian singer Bob Carlyle had a surprise breakout country hit
- 27:43with that song in Color from Jamie Johnson. Jamie Johnson
- 27:47is often referred to as a singers singer. Julia Roberts
- 27:52That's Julie Roberts break Down Here. Best known hit, Breakdown
- 27:56Here only reached number eighteen on the country charts, but
- 27:58it's still remembers as a hit and gem of country radio.
- 28:02Red Atkins Don't Get Me Started was technically his only
- 28:05number one hit, although In hindsight, he's probably best remembered
- 28:08for his other top five singles and Tucker Bethard rock on,
- 28:13the son of famed songwriter Casey Bethard. Tucker Betherert was
- 28:16one of country music's most promising young acts in the
- 28:19mid twenty tens. Well, this concludes the reading of Country
