- 0:00Speaker 1: Let's dive in to Russia versus cryptoday and we'll break
- 0:02Speaker 1: it all down for you. It's going to be an
- 0:03Speaker 1: interesting one, so stick around. My name is Paul Barrel,
- 0:05Speaker 1: Welcome back into the show. I do want to thank
- 0:08Speaker 1: her sponsor, and that is tangent This is where you,
- 0:09Speaker 1: guys can get into self custody, and believe me, self
- 0:13Speaker 1: custody is one of the tools that you should be
- 0:15Speaker 1: using in your crypto journey. All you have to do
- 0:16Speaker 1: is visit tangentum dot com and use our link down below.
- 0:19Speaker 1: It's going to give you a little bit of a discount.
- 0:21Speaker 1: It's like three minutes literally to get this thing going,
- 0:24Speaker 1: and there's a lot of security features that are quite
- 0:27Speaker 1: a bit different than most wallets out there. It's like
- 0:29Speaker 1: a credit card works with your phone in an app,
- 0:32Speaker 1: and this will make your life easy when it comes
- 0:35Speaker 1: to self custody. So if you want to get your
- 0:36Speaker 1: tons off of exchanges, jump over and get the tangent
- 0:40Speaker 1: card using our link down below. All right, guys, let's
- 0:43Speaker 1: get into a couple of points that is going on
- 0:45Speaker 1: right now within what's happening within Russia, and this is
- 0:49Speaker 1: where Russia is kind of repositioning their thought around crypto
- 0:54Speaker 1: or remember they have been very anti crypto over the years.
- 0:57Speaker 1: This guy right here is the advisor to the pro
- 1:00Speaker 1: as them and his name is kobeakov Anton. That's a
- 1:04Speaker 1: little scary, but this is the guy that's advising Putin
- 1:09Speaker 1: on his policy. Now, I want to go to a
- 1:11Speaker 1: clip real quick that will break down a little bit
- 1:13Speaker 1: of where they think the crypto market is going.
- 1:16Speaker 2: Take a look America priama ce chass but it's a
- 1:20Speaker 2: perminade preval and rinkula e crypto valute this provlini shortly
- 1:27Speaker 2: what demonstern is glowner americanski zada i which in hgiatary

- 1:41Speaker 2: kulda scrypta violutna obloka so remi ca che goes dog's
- 1:48Speaker 2: mission of stable coiner Sha is saying it to dog
- 1:53Speaker 2: sure as prasta mislove when you seechest valutni treats it
- 1:57Speaker 2: pet triluni dog. And he was going to at crypt
- 2:01Speaker 2: war Blocker at atletch to watchin lubit z niumatsa cryptoi.
- 2:06Speaker 1: One of the things you got to pay attention to
- 2:08Speaker 1: is this right here, now this is what their current
- 2:11Speaker 1: status is for crypto. Any private individuals who pay with crypto,
- 2:15Speaker 1: they're going to face fines. So this is like twenty
- 2:18Speaker 1: five hundred bucks and for a business, it's like thirteen
- 2:20Speaker 1: grand in terms of fines. All of that, and that
- 2:24Speaker 1: of course is still in act today, but all of
- 2:27Speaker 1: that is about to shift. The only difference is it's
- 2:30Speaker 1: shifting for a select few. If you go over here
- 2:33Speaker 1: on the crypto shift, a strategic move in to redefine
- 2:37Speaker 1: global finance. What they're doing now is they're preparing a
- 2:40Speaker 1: significant overhaul and cryptocurrency regulations. This is going to allow
- 2:43Speaker 1: retail investors kind of into the game, and they're only
- 2:47Speaker 1: going to permit high networth individuals with annual income exceeding
- 2:51Speaker 1: fifty million rubles that's about six hundred k, and who
- 2:55Speaker 1: invest at least one hundred million rubles one point two
- 2:57Speaker 1: million so to engage in crypto activities under this new
- 3:00Speaker 1: experimental concept. Now, that is basically the oligarchs that are
- 3:05Speaker 1: going to be able to do this, So they're clamping
- 3:07Speaker 1: down in that model. This is still in a situation
- 3:10Speaker 1: where it is very selective but also very governed. If
- 3:14Speaker 1: you look at just the crypto exchanges in Russia right now,
- 3:18Speaker 1: all these are KYC, so it's likely that most people
- 3:22Speaker 1: that are in Russia underneath that are still using DEXes
- 3:26Speaker 1: as their primary tool for trading within crypto. I don't
- 3:29Speaker 1: anticipate that this is happening much over there, and nor
- 3:32Speaker 1: do I think it will happen much. Now, let's go
- 3:35Speaker 1: back in time a little bit, because this is where
- 3:38Speaker 1: it gets interesting. Metallic right there, butterin Eth he met
- 3:42Speaker 1: Vladimir in twenty eighteen, and at that point I think
- 3:46Speaker 1: they were still open to crypto. But of course the
- 3:49Speaker 1: lockdown did not occur until what we've seen right now.
- 3:52Speaker 1: And then of course from that point on what we
- 3:55Speaker 1: saw was you know what's happening now, which is a
- 3:58Speaker 1: war began. This essentially is when Russia invaded Ukraine, the
- 4:02Speaker 1: market of course tanked. Let's not forget that Vitalic also
- 4:06Speaker 1: was very anti on this position, and he simply says, hey,
- 4:10Speaker 1: this was the famous statement of a theoremy is not virtual,
- 4:13Speaker 1: but I'm not. And he's talking about this issue with
- 4:16Speaker 1: Ukraine and Russia. And I want to go to a
- 4:18Speaker 1: clip real quick because this will get into a little
- 4:20Speaker 1: bit more detail on how Vitalic's master plan might be
- 4:24Speaker 1: playing out.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Take a look telling their master propagandists to go fuck themselves.
- 4:30Speaker 3: I was disreceived by by your fans and peers in general.
- 4:34Speaker 3: There's definitely yeah people who you know, like of the
- 4:38Speaker 3: yeah mindset that like, oh, you know, like I should
- 4:41Speaker 3: like not be getting involved in politics and like I
- 4:44Speaker 3: should be neutral, and basically I think people do kind
- 4:47Speaker 3: of forget the principles right, you know, like things like
- 4:50Speaker 3: openness and decentralization. They're not just slogans, they're like words
- 4:54Speaker 3: that actually mean things, right, and you know, like not
- 4:56Speaker 3: get like censored by a dictator and all of these
- 4:59Speaker 3: things like that. That's all actually part of that, right.
- 5:02Speaker 3: One of the yeah applications that I thought is really
- 5:05Speaker 3: interesting is technology that was developed by this company front
- 5:09Speaker 3: based in Kief called Ramo. It's called Freedom Tool. If
- 5:12Speaker 3: you're a Russian, then you can prove that you are
- 5:15Speaker 3: Russian and then you can vote. Right. The point is
- 5:17Speaker 3: to basically say, yeah, you know, like if we have
- 5:19Speaker 3: this digital election that's like completely independent of you know,
- 5:23Speaker 3: like Vladimir Impruten's ability to like you'll like fully manipulate
- 5:27Speaker 3: the results, which he's been doing, since like at least
- 5:29Speaker 3: I'm in e LIKECT twenty eleven, then like let's see
- 5:32Speaker 3: what the results actually are, right, and that ensures that
- 5:34Speaker 3: whoever's running the vote can't censor the votes. Then you
- 5:37Speaker 3: have zero knowledge proofs to protect the voter's privacy. But
- 5:39Speaker 3: then at the same time prove that the voter, I know,
- 5:42Speaker 3: like actually is like basically like one vote per citizen.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Like it's basically all done without the permission of the
- 5:47Speaker 3: Russian government obviously, right, if you want to ask a
- 5:49Speaker 3: question of like how do we, yeah, you know, like
- 5:52Speaker 3: help Soviet countries that are unfortunately, yeah, I'm like stuck
- 5:55Speaker 3: under the dictator, Like, how do we actually help them
- 5:58Speaker 3: get out? At some point? Like that stuff is really early,
- 6:00Speaker 3: but I think this is one of those things that
- 6:03Speaker 3: needs to be tried. When can we use it? It's coming, right,
- 6:06Speaker 3: and I think it's coming very soon. Scalability was very limited,
- 6:10Speaker 3: and like transaction fees were super high.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Right that clip was about a year ago. They're up
- 6:14Speaker 1: to one hundred thousand real users right now. I want
- 6:16Speaker 1: to go to a clip real quick that will kind
- 6:18Speaker 1: of say whether or not this could be used in
- 6:20Speaker 1: other countries.
- 6:21Speaker 4: Take a look Freedom to solve the long standing problem
- 6:23Speaker 4: and digital democracy, and it was instantly picked up by
- 6:26Speaker 4: dissidents in Russia. He used it to protest Putin. It
- 6:29Speaker 4: was then picked up by dissidents in Iran who used
- 6:32Speaker 4: it to protest the Islamic Republic. And we recently had
- 6:35Speaker 4: our first use case with elected officials we Opposition and
- 6:38Speaker 4: Peace and Georgia used it to host Tampa Proof poline
- 6:40Speaker 4: in the Georgian presidential elections.
- 6:43Speaker 1: Of course, if you go to Tovitalics blog, he made
- 6:46Speaker 1: a statement not too long ago that he'd be better
- 6:49Speaker 1: off for his safety not to be able to go
- 6:51Speaker 1: back to Russia again. So you know, it's interesting because
- 6:55Speaker 1: we're now starting to see a transition, and it's very
- 6:57Speaker 1: possible we could see this transition starting to take place.
- 7:01Speaker 1: Mass implementation of the digital ruble is now going live.
- 7:04Speaker 1: This will again on September first, so they're not necessarily
- 7:07Speaker 1: quitting on this. This is something they're really trying to push.
- 7:10Speaker 1: They're getting into the whole concept of pushing banks that
- 7:12Speaker 1: would be required to provide a lot of the clients
- 7:15Speaker 1: with the option to conduct transactions on the ruble. This
- 7:18Speaker 1: is all digital rubles starting September first. The other thing,
- 7:21Speaker 1: if you look at the milestones right here, you can
- 7:24Speaker 1: kind of see, you know, they started looking at crypto,
- 7:27Speaker 1: they faded away from it, and now they've started to
- 7:30Speaker 1: move into the pilot launched, which was in twenty twenty three.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It was thirteen banks and then now here we are
- 7:37Speaker 1: with another fifteen banks in twenty twenty four. Further in
- 7:40Speaker 1: the document is they're talking about how long this is
- 7:43Speaker 1: going to take, and really what it boils down to
- 7:46Speaker 1: is the key areas. This is going to take a
- 7:47Speaker 1: lot longer, about seven years to be able to implement this,
- 7:51Speaker 1: and the project itself is going to be slow, as
- 7:54Speaker 1: you can kind of see on that roadmap. So the
- 7:56Speaker 1: real question is is what is going to happen in
- 7:58Speaker 1: the meantime. Most likely that's where the limitation of stable
- 8:00Speaker 1: coins will start to play into this, and of course
- 8:03Speaker 1: that gets into all of the different banks that are
- 8:06Speaker 1: going to be involved. This is the largest companies in
- 8:08Speaker 1: Russia by market cap. Most likely we are going to
- 8:11Speaker 1: see more movement in this space. Spare Bank, which was
- 8:15Speaker 1: on the top there. They want you to hold your
- 8:17Speaker 1: crypto like a regular bank account. So this is already
- 8:19Speaker 1: starting to move in the direction of where crypto is
- 8:23Speaker 1: going and they don't necessarily have an alternative to it,
- 8:25Speaker 1: so it is going to be a US stable coin
- 8:27Speaker 1: of some sort. Will the Russians actually use it these banks?
- 8:31Speaker 1: I think not. What you're going to deal with is
- 8:33Speaker 1: most likely self custode, DEXes, et cetera. This will only
- 8:36Speaker 1: strengthen the potential use of stable coins that of course
- 8:40Speaker 1: all leans in on ethereum as a whole. So all
- 8:43Speaker 1: of this is still positive I think for the idea
- 8:47Speaker 1: of stable coins starting to hit the backstop of US
- 8:49Speaker 1: treasuries globally, and I think the Russian might be on
- 8:53Speaker 1: something here. The question is is what does this do
- 8:55Speaker 1: on ethereum. Well, right now Eth is still holding it
- 8:58Speaker 1: around forty two to eighty two, So we'll see how
- 9:00Speaker 1: it plays out in the coming few weeks. As we
- 9:03Speaker 1: start to move in with all the bullish things that
- 9:05Speaker 1: have been happening around in Eth, you would anticipate that
- 9:08Speaker 1: we're going to see a little bit of this. The
- 9:09Speaker 1: key here is fatigue. I think eventually there's going to
- 9:12Speaker 1: be less sellers and that's when I think we start
- 9:14Speaker 1: to see a run on Eth. All right, guys, if
- 9:16Speaker 1: you're not in the diamond Circle Mixture and get in
- 9:18Speaker 1: on that. It's our own group that is absolutely free
- 9:22Speaker 1: to use, and of course I drop an email every
- 9:24Speaker 1: week that kind of gives you guys an update on
- 9:26Speaker 1: additional research, my thoughts on where the market is heading.
