My favorite verse in the Bible is Jeremiah 1:5. This is what God said to Jeremiah when He called him to be a prophet: I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations. Just like with Jeremiah, God knew me before I was born, and He had a plan for my life while I was still in the womb. Life becomes meaningful when I know that I am not just an accident on planet earth. In the book of Jeremiah, we see God calling Jeremiah into ministry as a prophet to the people of Judah.
