- 0:00Speaker 1: Oh, nothing like starting the episode with a little tea
- 0:03Speaker 1: bag shoot over to Brandon's camera. Now, happy belated birthday.
- 0:11Speaker 1: It's a it's almost a week after, but this is
- 0:14Speaker 1: the last year in the thirties for the old Golden
- 0:17Speaker 1: Vice Brandon, Jay mctaman. Hopefully you had a good little birthday.
- 0:21Speaker 1: I saw someome stuff on the social Media's pretty good stuff, dude.
- 0:25Speaker 2: It was a simple birthday, a lot of fun. And
- 0:27Speaker 2: as you get older, you know, those are the better
- 0:28Speaker 2: ones where you're just like, I'm just gonna hang out
- 0:30Speaker 2: the family. I don't want to leave the house, you know,
- 0:32Speaker 2: is my mic? Okay, by the way, I've got a
- 0:34Speaker 2: new screen and the MIC's in a different place.
- 0:36Speaker 1: I think sounds good.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Cool, Yeah, good, Bud, good good.
- 0:40Speaker 1: I'm looking over at you, Ben, he's looking good. He's
- 0:42Speaker 1: got a little red light going on. I thought he
- 0:44Speaker 1: was at first recording from a chicken coop, but I
- 0:47Speaker 1: was really hoping that he didn't get any more chicken
- 0:48Speaker 1: shit into his lungs or his eyeballs, because we've had
- 0:52Speaker 1: a struggle with that. Allegedly, you still got those chickens.
- 0:56Speaker 3: Yeah, just a few, Only a few survived, but we
- 1:00Speaker 3: had some of those blizzard type wins that Brandon was
- 1:03Speaker 3: going through last week, and it literally blew the chicken
- 1:07Speaker 3: coop over into my above ground pool.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Uh yeah.
- 1:12Speaker 3: I was like, what what what is this? And luckily
- 1:16Speaker 3: didn't puncture it, but a good dent in it.
- 1:18Speaker 1: I'm like, wow, you lucked out. I did. But although
- 1:22Speaker 1: there's gonna be a cannonball from hell that's gonna potentially
- 1:25Speaker 1: either undent it or or gonna, you know, just be
- 1:29Speaker 1: the final straw.
- 1:31Speaker 3: I saw that little spirit fly in front of the
- 1:33Speaker 3: camera again. It's been a while. I don't know what's
- 1:35Speaker 3: going on.
- 1:36Speaker 1: Boy, they must be excited for this this this episode.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Maybe I think it was a dust bunny. I need
- 1:42Speaker 3: to clean in here. It's ridiculous.
- 1:43Speaker 1: But yeah, cleaning, yeah, that's something that we always have
- 1:46Speaker 1: time for. But I thought today, you know, last last week,
- 1:49Speaker 1: we had a.
- 1:50Speaker 3: Little bit of a.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Thing that we did and I had a lot of
- 1:53Speaker 1: fun with it. So I thought, today, you know what,
- 1:56Speaker 1: maybe we maybe we go over some kind of some
- 1:59Speaker 1: of our fire struggle meals, because let's be honest, whether
- 2:02Speaker 1: it's game day stuff or whether it's childhood memories, we've
- 2:06Speaker 1: all gone through some struggle meals and we're gonna probably
- 2:09Speaker 1: remember some of the darkest snack deprivation moments not only
- 2:13Speaker 1: of our life, but of parenthood, because I know I'm
- 2:16Speaker 1: guilty of going through that. Like, hey, we're gonna have
- 2:19Speaker 1: to eat today. Oh well, it turns out that save
- 2:21Speaker 1: all I had mac and cheese on zale for forty
- 2:24Speaker 1: nine cents and hopefully that's somewhat edible, and uh, you
- 2:29Speaker 1: know some stuff. Let's be honest, we all go through
- 2:30Speaker 1: some of our worst days to get through the best days.
- 2:33Speaker 1: And I think it would be pretty interesting.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Well, I think if I don't mind, if you don't
- 2:39Speaker 2: mind me starting and it hop it on in here.
- 2:42Speaker 2: I'm reminded of being about ten to fifteen years old,
- 2:47Speaker 2: and there was this time period in the late nineties
- 2:50Speaker 2: where we would go to a grocery store and the
- 2:53Speaker 2: deli at the grocery store, of course, they had their meats.
- 2:57Speaker 2: You know, if you go there now, it seems like
- 3:00Speaker 2: the store has a deal with a certain brand, so
- 3:03Speaker 2: they carry only that brand's meat kind of a thing,
- 3:05Speaker 2: you know, whether it's Kreschmeire or you know, boris Head whatever. Well,
- 3:12Speaker 2: there was a very low end ham which was like
- 3:17Speaker 2: turned into a slurry and made into a gelatinous thing
- 3:20Speaker 2: that they could slice normal. It's American hot dog, same thing.
- 3:23Speaker 2: It's no different than many things that we've all eaten.
- 3:26Speaker 2: But there would always be this translucent ham that would
- 3:29Speaker 2: always be on sale for either ninety nine cents a
- 3:32Speaker 2: pound or a dollar ninety nine cents a pound, and
- 3:35Speaker 2: my mom would get five pounds of this shaved like
- 3:38Speaker 2: just this tall like and this big container, and she
- 3:41Speaker 2: would get a whole like thing this big of just
- 3:45Speaker 2: American cheese sliced and we would have trans translucent ham
- 3:50Speaker 2: and cheese hot. We'd have it cold, we'd have it melted,
- 3:54Speaker 2: and it would go along with ramen and ramen and
- 3:57Speaker 2: ham and cheese. What I remember eating that, along with
- 4:00Speaker 2: ramen and peanut butter and jelly. I haven't treated myself
- 4:05Speaker 2: to this just because I don't think you can buy
- 4:06Speaker 2: this like low end meat that we were consuming in
- 4:09Speaker 2: the nineties like anymore unless you going to like get
- 4:12Speaker 2: the car and like even Carl Butding felt like it's
- 4:15Speaker 2: just like a step above it. You know.
- 4:17Speaker 3: Oh, I love me some Carl Butting. That's what I
- 4:19Speaker 3: was gonna be. That's I love the his back. It
- 4:22Speaker 3: was like two for a dollar. I was like, Oh,
- 4:24Speaker 3: you just can't be. I would eat that shit just
- 4:26Speaker 3: right out the package. People are like, oh no, that's
- 4:28Speaker 3: a struggle of me, and I'm like, oh, then why
- 4:30Speaker 3: is it so delicious? I don't know. I'm also a
- 4:33Speaker 3: guy that those Vienna sausages, you know, I still got
- 4:37Speaker 3: I got a canon the Lazy Susan, I got a
- 4:39Speaker 3: can of that roast beef hash, the Horrmel that stuff.
- 4:43Speaker 1: Snow like you fancy boy dude.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Well, some of the save brand kind, I don't know
- 4:50Speaker 3: what it is. If it's a twenty cents difference between
- 4:53Speaker 3: the Hormel, why not spend the extra twenty cents now?
- 4:56Speaker 3: If it is a dollar difference, I'm going the safe
- 5:00Speaker 3: stuff always, absolutely.
- 5:01Speaker 2: So I'm not judging you on any of the stuff.
- 5:04Speaker 2: You just damned Vienna Sausage for being so particular with
- 5:12Speaker 2: some foods mac and cheese. You won't eat like you are.
- 5:14Speaker 2: You go off on a deep end on other sides.
- 5:16Speaker 2: So it's like, it's hard to like really put peg you,
- 5:18Speaker 2: no pun intended.
- 5:21Speaker 3: It's always hard to peg me. I'm a feisty one.
- 5:23Speaker 3: Eventually I give in. Eventually I give him. Yeah, I
- 5:26Speaker 3: don't know, like so definitely that once I see the
- 5:30Speaker 3: slime from the Vienna sauce, I can't do that. So
- 5:32Speaker 3: I just barely open the lid right and then just
- 5:36Speaker 3: pour out all the juice. Then I open up all
- 5:38Speaker 3: the lid and then I open or I get the
- 5:41Speaker 3: uh to the sink rints out those bad boys because
- 5:44Speaker 3: I want any that slime on them. And then I
- 5:47Speaker 3: practically look like I'm going down on a small person
- 5:49Speaker 3: because I'm just just sucking on them things and getting
- 5:52Speaker 3: them good. Honestly, I could probably film it and make
- 5:54Speaker 3: some money.
- 5:55Speaker 1: You should, I mean, I'm I I could do. There's
- 5:58Speaker 1: a kink out there for everything.
- 6:01Speaker 2: I once saw somebody take Vienna sausages on an Internet
- 6:04Speaker 2: video and they like started shaving them like in a
- 6:10Speaker 2: circle to where it was like super thin like paper.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Like the whole Vienna sausage was shaved into like this
- 6:15Speaker 2: like paper that they then like put cream, cheese and
- 6:19Speaker 2: other stuff in there and rolled it up and had
- 6:20Speaker 2: like little Vienna sausage rolls. Disgusting.
- 6:23Speaker 3: That's a lot of it, yea, Honestly. So when I
- 6:26Speaker 3: was a kid, they had the six packs, and so
- 6:29Speaker 3: my friends and I thought it would be a good
- 6:30Speaker 3: idea to see how many we could eat and then
- 6:34Speaker 3: chug a one liter of mountain dew. Maybe I don't
- 6:38Speaker 3: think it's a two leader. I think it was yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 3: one leer and uh that was the worst puke I've
- 6:42Speaker 3: ever had in my life. And so I was off
- 6:44Speaker 3: of them for a long time.
- 6:45Speaker 1: That's not a good one.
- 6:47Speaker 3: They hit about five years. I still wouldn't do the
- 6:50Speaker 3: thin rolls either.
- 6:51Speaker 2: Can't do it.
- 6:54Speaker 1: I know what, I'm surprised that they never tried to
- 6:55Speaker 1: do well, maybe not surprised because I guess it's probably
- 6:59Speaker 1: not very marketable, but like a a spaghettio Vienna sausage mix,
- 7:06Speaker 1: I mean, you could do that on your own, but
- 7:07Speaker 1: you know, in the world of collabing, I'm surprised that
- 7:10Speaker 1: you know, they never took some Vienna sausages and either
- 7:12Speaker 1: have them or just left them home put them in
- 7:14Speaker 1: the thing as spaghettios.
- 7:16Speaker 2: So those spaghettios with meatballs, those meatballs are first of all,
- 7:20Speaker 2: have you guys eaten respectfully eaten spaghettios or or anything
- 7:25Speaker 2: like canned like chef warried shit in the last fifteen.
- 7:29Speaker 1: Years, Yeah, I could didn't the less, so I stopped.
- 7:33Speaker 2: I stopped eating that shit when I was a kid.
- 7:36Speaker 2: I stopped eating that ship when I was a kid.
- 7:37Speaker 2: And like, I've had it like one time, and it
- 7:40Speaker 2: is either our palettes were like just stupid and like
- 7:45Speaker 2: we're like, oh, this is good, or something changed and
- 7:47Speaker 2: it's just awful.
- 7:48Speaker 3: Now.
- 7:49Speaker 2: I don't know what it is, but it's just the
- 7:50Speaker 2: heat and slop and there's no flavor to it. You
- 7:54Speaker 2: have to add a bunch of garlic and season ings
- 7:56Speaker 2: and shit just to make it palatable.
- 7:58Speaker 3: I like it. Even we had kind of the same
- 8:02Speaker 3: gestures at the same time. I saw that, So I'm wondering.
- 8:06Speaker 1: So i'ven't had them in fifteen years. I'm like, I'm
- 8:08Speaker 1: thinking I've had at least two or three kims the
- 8:11Speaker 1: last fifteen days.
- 8:12Speaker 2: You boys, we deserve better.
- 8:16Speaker 4: That's so I'm I like it. You're saying that I
- 8:20Speaker 4: don't even add anything to it. Maybe I'm grazy, but
- 8:22Speaker 4: I look for it. When they have the spaghettios and
- 8:26Speaker 4: the meatballs, that's like a We're like, ooh, eating a
- 8:29Speaker 4: little fancy tonight.
- 8:30Speaker 3: But I don't know. You give me a can of
- 8:33Speaker 3: that and a nice grilled cheese bro I'm dunking that
- 8:37Speaker 3: bad boy in there, just like you're just like my
- 8:41Speaker 3: toasted peanut butter sandwiches and milk. Baby, you saw that picture,
- 8:44Speaker 3: did you like it?
- 8:45Speaker 1: I like it. So I get that and I heat
- 8:49Speaker 1: it up, and then I take the meatballs, and then
- 8:51Speaker 1: I put that thing on a little bit of some
- 8:53Speaker 1: bread and butter. Got a little meatball sub spaghettio, dip
- 8:56Speaker 1: that as well. But the grilled cheese spaghettio combo, Oh baby,
- 9:01Speaker 1: is it good? I do not that I need to,
- 9:04Speaker 1: but every once in a while I might take some,
- 9:05Speaker 1: you know, if I got a good seasoning at home.
- 9:08Speaker 1: We've come a long ways from just having to put garlic,
- 9:10Speaker 1: salt and onion powder on everything. Where you know, they
- 9:13Speaker 1: got some good stuff. I'll dabble in that, maybe a little,
- 9:17Speaker 1: you know, put some crush red in there, you know.
- 9:20Speaker 1: But yeah, we messed with us. You get the ten
- 9:22Speaker 1: for ten, get ten meals for ten bucks. Gotta love it, baby.
- 9:26Speaker 3: That's what Every time I see that ten for ten,
- 9:29Speaker 3: I'm like, all right, we want the ones with the meatballs.
- 9:31Speaker 3: We want low calcium might as well. There's a few
- 9:34Speaker 3: of those left.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Let's go.
- 9:35Speaker 3: We're mixing it up. But I will go ahead and
- 9:37Speaker 3: say that it feels like the chef boy or d
- 9:40Speaker 3: Ravioli has changed. I tried it recently, not as big
- 9:46Speaker 3: on it. Can you guys, hear this rooster trying to
- 9:48Speaker 3: chin up? Okay, sorry, okay, he's just right outside the window.
- 9:53Speaker 1: Just apparently, Hey, chef boy or d time, you know,
- 9:56Speaker 1: getting in the chicken the leftover. He's like, I'm getting
- 9:58Speaker 1: some ravioli, bitches.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Becomes over here again. Hold on.
- 10:03Speaker 1: I agree though, that the ravioli not is good. The
- 10:08Speaker 1: one of my hidden gens and one of my favorite
- 10:10Speaker 1: as a kid that I still mess with. I love
- 10:13Speaker 1: and still do beeferoni. I don't know what it is, so.
- 10:17Speaker 2: So that's the only one I think that I will
- 10:19Speaker 2: still eat is the beeferoni because the beef kind of
- 10:21Speaker 2: still feels like hard and not crunchy. But you know
- 10:23Speaker 2: what I mean, beefish, I'm with you.
- 10:25Speaker 1: I'm with you. You're gonna eat some chef boyardy beeferoni
- 10:29Speaker 1: this week.
- 10:30Speaker 2: That's not the same, man. It's not like here's my thing,
- 10:33Speaker 2: here's my thing. I'm a fat and I eat a
- 10:35Speaker 2: lot of terrible shit. But go the extra mile and
- 10:38Speaker 2: spend an extra two dollars and get something else other
- 10:40Speaker 2: than a can of Party Boys.
- 10:42Speaker 1: So that's a good question. So if you had the
- 10:44Speaker 1: extra two bucks in your in your in your budget,
- 10:46Speaker 1: you're going through there, what are you buying? Insteatus and spaghettios.
- 10:50Speaker 2: I'm buying a big old and it's all right, man.
- 10:52Speaker 2: You know, sometimes there's loud cocks in your life. Uh,
- 10:56Speaker 2: what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go and I'm
- 10:58Speaker 2: going to the freezer section and I'm buying one of
- 10:59Speaker 2: the those big, big man meals. You know what I'm
- 11:02Speaker 2: talking about. Okay, see, now those aren't great. They're not great,
- 11:07Speaker 2: But you want to talk about food that you have
- 11:09Speaker 2: to heat up and it'll be ready. I'm gonna throw
- 11:11Speaker 2: one of those big old fried chicken ones in the
- 11:13Speaker 2: thing or burrito or something.
- 11:15Speaker 1: I don't think you can get those for three bucks.
- 11:18Speaker 2: You can't get it for three bucks, but that's what
- 11:19Speaker 2: I'm saying, dude, They're worth six bucks. Like if I'm
- 11:22Speaker 2: if I'm gonna shit myself, I'm gonna enjoy shitting myself
- 11:26Speaker 2: on the way in, you.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Know, Like I want to take this moment right now.
- 11:30Speaker 1: Today is the at the time of the recording. It's
- 11:33Speaker 1: the it's like the end of March, and we're gonna
- 11:38Speaker 1: fast forward to about ten years in Brandon's life when
- 11:42Speaker 1: his kids are, you know, busy doing this and that
- 11:44Speaker 1: we're gonna see you know, then you gotta buy prom
- 11:47Speaker 1: dresses and you gotta buy cars and insurance and all
- 11:50Speaker 1: that fun stuff, and I want to see I'm gonna
- 11:52Speaker 1: be like, I'm gonna remember that moment when it was
- 11:54Speaker 1: like episode two eighty three or four or five or
- 11:57Speaker 1: something like that, when you were like, I'm gonna spend
- 11:58Speaker 1: the extra the extra six bucks on that one meal,
- 12:01Speaker 1: and we're gonna go, how's that? How's that spaghettios and
- 12:03Speaker 1: be Ferroni Today, Bud, we're gonna mark this down. You know, obviously,
- 12:08Speaker 1: you and myself our kids are much older. We're on
- 12:10Speaker 1: the road around the go, and we're gonna mark this
- 12:12Speaker 1: episode and in ten years, when you're living the life
- 12:15Speaker 1: that we are, I'm just gonna look at you and
- 12:17Speaker 1: be like, hey, Bud, how's the spaghettios tonight for dinner?
- 12:21Speaker 2: Well, listen, I'm not I'm not. I don't doubt you,
- 12:26Speaker 2: but I will say this. I'm already knee deep in
- 12:28Speaker 2: mac and cheese and chicken nuggies like that's all they eat.
- 12:32Speaker 1: So like I've already ever grew out of that.
- 12:34Speaker 2: But I won't. I just, I just I won't buy
- 12:36Speaker 2: chef Boyerdy. My wife will let me either, because it's
- 12:38Speaker 2: just just anyway. But you were talking about like kansa hash.
- 12:43Speaker 2: Give me some hash. That's some good stuff right.
- 12:45Speaker 1: There, actually Grisby baby, Oh, I love it.
- 12:48Speaker 3: I you know what. I even like it soft sometimes too.
- 12:51Speaker 3: If it's just almost just just barely little Grisbee, we're
- 12:54Speaker 3: still just a little stuff. I don't know the smell
- 12:57Speaker 3: of it, that smell like cat food, but I'm I
- 13:00Speaker 3: love it, uh, I don't know, man like And it's
- 13:03Speaker 3: like a nice grilled cheese. I don't know. I'm a
- 13:06Speaker 3: slut for a good grilled cheese sandwich. And you're talking
- 13:09Speaker 3: about how these cans are unhealthy. Of all these canned
- 13:12Speaker 3: foods are unhealthy, dude, I went to the doctor now.
- 13:16Speaker 3: I mentioned it on the Body Wrong episode. They practically said,
- 13:19Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm an Olympic athlete, like my my results
- 13:23Speaker 3: were so damn good. People are envious, Like my blood
- 13:27Speaker 3: people are gonna try to steal it because magic Johnson
- 13:29Speaker 3: I heard is like looking around trying to take my blood.
- 13:33Speaker 2: It's true.
- 13:33Speaker 1: He hit me up at H on the Instagram and
- 13:36Speaker 1: I was like, just slide into his DMS. It's okay.
- 13:38Speaker 1: He's like, yo, bude, I can't. His name's you've been
- 13:41Speaker 1: whacking off. That's not good for you know, the press
- 13:43Speaker 1: and the media. I'm like, it'll be all right.
- 13:45Speaker 2: I don't think you want Magic Johnson sliding into anywhere.
- 13:49Speaker 3: Yeah. He's like, hey, I heard you were in Branson.
- 13:51Speaker 3: I'm like, h He's like, I don't think I'm gonna
- 13:54Speaker 3: survive around there. It's like probably not, you know, so
- 13:58Speaker 3: he's gonna be around probably next week. But he's like
- 14:00Speaker 3: a hire. I'm go to sleep with one eye opened.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Now. You know, obviously we're all parents, and you mentioned
- 14:08Speaker 1: the mac and Cheese and the Dino Nuggies. Do you
- 14:11Speaker 1: find that kids are a little more pickier and maybe
- 14:14Speaker 1: not pickier than you been than they were, because let's
- 14:17Speaker 1: be honest, we've we've we've talked about we we've ate
- 14:20Speaker 1: the Vianna sausage, the Spaghettios, TV dinners. I remember growing
- 14:25Speaker 1: up eating some TV dinners, maybe watching the Simpsons, and
- 14:29Speaker 1: uh what was another state, like powdered donuts cheap, and
- 14:33Speaker 1: we ate a lot of those those boxed donuts for
- 14:37Speaker 1: breakfast and pop tarts, you know, I mean, I mean,
- 14:41Speaker 1: do you guys have picky kids that only eat certain things?
- 14:43Speaker 1: We definitely have one more than the other.
- 14:47Speaker 2: So for me it was yes, But for me it
- 14:49Speaker 2: was I'm sure it'll get different as we get older,
- 14:51Speaker 2: but as they get older, But for me, it was
- 14:53Speaker 2: a they really ate anything up until a little bit before,
- 14:59Speaker 2: right after two years old. I could put pineapple and
- 15:02Speaker 2: green beans and carrots and everything in front of this
- 15:05Speaker 2: kid and she would just Now you put it from her, Yeah, well,
- 15:09Speaker 2: like you're two, what are you fake throwing up for?
- 15:11Speaker 2: What are you talking about that? Bite a lasagna? You know,
- 15:15Speaker 2: like it's cheese and meat and sauce. Eat it, you know.
- 15:18Speaker 3: M m. That's exactly how my kids were, like they
- 15:23Speaker 3: My daughter used to eat just absolutely everything. Pears was
- 15:27Speaker 3: her favorite. Now she's like, what is a pear? She's
- 15:31Speaker 3: like that sounds disgusting, and I'm like that that's squash.
- 15:34Speaker 1: She used to tear up where partridges are? Why is that?
- 15:39Speaker 3: Why?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Why does there is it? Is it because the palettes
- 15:42Speaker 1: evolve or change or do they just grow older and
- 15:46Speaker 1: realize that they can play the game and it's a
- 15:48Speaker 1: way to get attention where they're just like, I ain't
- 15:50Speaker 1: et this, goddamn paar. I know Dad's gonna cave in
- 15:53Speaker 1: and I'm gonna get peanut butter toast or or you know,
- 15:56Speaker 1: Spaghettio's or something else that they like more.
- 15:59Speaker 3: I think, so oh, because it's but like my daughter
- 16:03Speaker 3: she goes to Taco Bell now and gets at Dorito's
- 16:05Speaker 3: Locos taco without lettuce, and I'm like, dude, that's that's
- 16:10Speaker 3: not gonna be much, and literally, on her way back
- 16:13Speaker 3: home last night, that's what she ordered and there was
- 16:16Speaker 3: this much beef into it and she's like, what what
- 16:19Speaker 3: is this? And I'm like, exactly what you ordered. I'm like,
- 16:22Speaker 3: you know, Taco Bell is scampy with those beef portions
- 16:26Speaker 3: on those tacos.
- 16:27Speaker 2: I want you both to know that this show is
- 16:29Speaker 2: bad for my health because every time I'm on the show.
- 16:33Speaker 2: You just said Taco Bell, and I'm just thinking about
- 16:34Speaker 2: going to Taco Bell now like I'm going to talk
- 16:36Speaker 2: about for the show.
- 16:37Speaker 3: You guys, you should go to Arby's instead, because that's
- 16:39Speaker 3: where I went. She wanted taco bell. I went to
- 16:42Speaker 3: Arby's because they had a four for ten classic roast
- 16:45Speaker 3: beef deal. Oh my Linda, Yes, sir, yes, on app No,
- 16:52Speaker 3: it was just a regular deal. So you can get
- 16:54Speaker 3: that deal and get something on the I treat yourself.
- 16:58Speaker 3: Tweat yourself.
- 17:00Speaker 1: That would be cool to be able to travel to
- 17:01Speaker 1: places that have said places, because we were in the
- 17:04Speaker 1: middle of nowhere, I mean middle of nowhere, hour and
- 17:08Speaker 1: twenty minute drive and probably forty to fifty minutes of
- 17:13Speaker 1: that drive no cell service where we are, and we
- 17:18Speaker 1: ended up. And I think we've talked about this before,
- 17:21Speaker 1: but I'm a big fan of trying to find a
- 17:23Speaker 1: local business. Yes you pay a little bit more, but
- 17:25Speaker 1: maybe not with the drive through, you know kind of
- 17:28Speaker 1: mentality we had some time. I said, you know, let's
- 17:31Speaker 1: go out, and I was pumped. There was this like
- 17:34Speaker 1: very highly rated Italian place with some pizza that looked
- 17:38Speaker 1: out of this world, like right from Italy style stuff.
- 17:41Speaker 1: They're going, They're going, They're going. Then the wife goes
- 17:44Speaker 1: or did we want to try the place that's Mexican
- 17:46Speaker 1: slash Italian? I said, what did you just do? The
- 17:49Speaker 1: kids are like yeah, like, son of a bitch. So
- 17:52Speaker 1: we go to this mom Pa Mexican slash Italian place,
- 17:56Speaker 1: all right, and you get in there and they're swamped.
- 18:00Speaker 1: It seems like there's two people in the kitchen, one
- 18:02Speaker 1: person doing the whole entire room is the waitress and
- 18:04Speaker 1: stuff like that. She's like, give me five minutes, like
- 18:07Speaker 1: oh yeah, So we sit there, We sit down. You know,
- 18:10Speaker 1: it smells good, looks good, cool, clean place. They hand
- 18:12Speaker 1: us the menu, and I'm not telling I was so
- 18:17Speaker 1: overwhelmed with the size of this goddamn menu. I'm not
- 18:21Speaker 1: shitting you. They had fifteen to twenty different pages full
- 18:26Speaker 1: of different things. Some of it was most of it
- 18:29Speaker 1: was in Spanish with like some English next to it,
- 18:32Speaker 1: but I I've not and maybe it's because where I live.
- 18:35Speaker 1: But looking at your guys's faces, I feel like that's
- 18:38Speaker 1: too much.
- 18:39Speaker 2: Right, well, it's too much. I've never worked in food service,
- 18:42Speaker 2: but it's too much because trying to get a consistently
- 18:45Speaker 2: good food when you have that many items, and how
- 18:48Speaker 2: are they storing it? Is it just being microwaved? Lots
- 18:51Speaker 2: of questions.
- 18:52Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean they had anything from Mexican food that
- 18:55Speaker 1: I've never even heard of. Granted I live on the
- 18:58Speaker 1: Canadian border, so Mexican food is and you know, something
- 19:00Speaker 1: I'm well versed and cultured in. But of course me
- 19:04Speaker 1: my brain went, where's the best deal, where's the best buy?
- 19:06Speaker 1: You know, it's like burrito fourteen bucks, you know, with
- 19:09Speaker 1: a side of rice and beans. Hey, not bad. But
- 19:11Speaker 1: then they have combinationiones. I don't know how to It's
- 19:14Speaker 1: probably not how you say it in Spanish, but that's
- 19:16Speaker 1: how it was spelled. And they had like twelve to
- 19:18Speaker 1: fifteen different combos where you know, so I ended up
- 19:21Speaker 1: getting a kind of paniced order. It was an enchilada
- 19:24Speaker 1: smothered in sauce, a burrito in sauce, and a crispy
- 19:28Speaker 1: taco for twelve bucks.
- 19:31Speaker 3: Thought that was a goodbye, big fan of a good taco.
- 19:37Speaker 1: This was a good taco. It was like a and
- 19:39Speaker 1: they had like homemade shells. Of course, the middle kid
- 19:44Speaker 1: just kind of went through, not like very well versed
- 19:47Speaker 1: in you know food like that loves Taco Bell. Legit
- 19:50Speaker 1: would eat Taco Bell three days, three times a day,
- 19:52Speaker 1: if you if you let her. And the first why
- 19:56Speaker 1: are there so many pages? I'm like, I don't know, kid,
- 19:58Speaker 1: it seems like a lot. She goes, I'm not reading
- 20:00Speaker 1: through it. I'm going with the taco cell. It's the
- 20:02Speaker 1: first thing I saw that e'lite and it was one
- 20:04Speaker 1: of those like homemade deep fried taco bowls with all
- 20:08Speaker 1: the stuff in it. And of course she's so used
- 20:10Speaker 1: to taco bell She's like, the shell's good, but it
- 20:12Speaker 1: tastes different. I go, it's it's homemade, That's why it
- 20:16Speaker 1: tastes different. But it was a it was a good
- 20:20Speaker 1: place on a trip. Everybody left. And what I was
- 20:22Speaker 1: surprised at, like a couple of other Mexican places that
- 20:25Speaker 1: I've that I've eaten it throughout the travels, they seem
- 20:28Speaker 1: like huge portions because, let's be honest, most of stuff rice, ground, beef,
- 20:32Speaker 1: stuff like that, and they do it. It was like the
- 20:34Speaker 1: perfect sized portion. We didn't go home with any to
- 20:36Speaker 1: go boxes, and nobody felt like super full from overeating.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Like like I said, I'm sure you picture a burrito
- 20:43Speaker 1: like huge. This was just a nice little rolled up.
- 20:46Speaker 1: It was good. It was good, dude.
- 20:48Speaker 3: Yeah, that you definitely explore better options than I do,
- 20:52Speaker 3: because there's not a lot of non chain restaurants unfortunately.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Where we were at but uh, we have you guys been.
- 21:01Speaker 1: To ooh, that's said Taco Saling for anybody just looking here.
- 21:05Speaker 1: The wife got a what are they chimney changas like
- 21:10Speaker 1: the deep fried in there? But I think that by
- 21:13Speaker 1: the day. That's a smothered burrito and sauce with beans
- 21:17Speaker 1: and rice. And that smothered burrito was chicken and it
- 21:20Speaker 1: was some of the best seasoned chicken that I've had.
- 21:23Speaker 1: It was good. Sorry I cut you off there.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Oh no, you're fine. Smothered me in that cheese sauce.
- 21:27Speaker 3: That looks delicious. Uh, that looked like a penis at first.
- 21:31Speaker 3: I'm not going that.
- 21:33Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 21:34Speaker 2: You see a lot of a lot of penises you
- 21:36Speaker 2: see have sauce on them.
- 21:38Speaker 3: Yeah, pervertly, Yeah, very close view because I do good work. Uh,
- 21:42Speaker 3: the I forgot where? Oh uh we went to cracker barrel?
- 21:48Speaker 3: Was the last time you guys been to a cracker barrel?
- 21:50Speaker 1: Wow? I mean I've been to a cracker barrel probably once,
- 21:54Speaker 1: maybe twice in my entire life. Dude, they find it offensive,
- 22:00Speaker 1: Just kidding.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I want. Their gift shop is hands down one of
- 22:06Speaker 3: the best shopping areas there is. They have candy they have.
- 22:12Speaker 3: My daughter got a Fleetwood mac Rumor sweatshirt for like
- 22:17Speaker 3: fifteen bucks or whatever. So she was just like, this
- 22:20Speaker 3: is awesome, and it's it was a six sweat a sweatshirt.
- 22:23Speaker 3: It was it was awesome.
- 22:24Speaker 1: But I say six sweatshirt five times sweast sick sweatshirt.
- 22:29Speaker 3: Sick sweatshirt. That was especially whenever you're elevated, that's difficult.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I say it like Mike Tyson thick.
- 22:37Speaker 3: But no, they have everything. They have some candy that
- 22:40Speaker 3: you usually don't see, it's like and they have some
- 22:42Speaker 3: like antique type of it, just you know, toys for
- 22:45Speaker 3: the kids. Unfortunately, so they're always run over there. And
- 22:48Speaker 3: and it was awesome because it was my daughter's birthday.
- 22:51Speaker 3: Was the only reason why she got that sweatshirt. But
- 22:53Speaker 3: the other kids didn't even ask to even look wow,
- 22:56Speaker 3: or they didn't even like they went to the toy aisle,
- 22:58Speaker 3: but normally they're there for like five times. There's like, dude,
- 23:01Speaker 3: or we're exhausted, let's get to the pool at the
- 23:04Speaker 3: hotel and then let's let's get some sleep. And right
- 23:08Speaker 3: by the pool there's an ice cream vending machine, which
- 23:12Speaker 3: I was like, I was like okay. I was like,
- 23:14Speaker 3: we're not going to get that. And then I look
- 23:16Speaker 3: and last he son like the hedgehog with the gumball eyes,
- 23:20Speaker 3: and I'm like, okay, we got time. We got time.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Let's look at this ice cream issue.
- 23:24Speaker 1: What a dangerous move to give kids and stuff a
- 23:26Speaker 1: bunch of ice cream and then have them try not
- 23:29Speaker 1: to shit in the pool.
- 23:31Speaker 3: I'm not confident that somebody didn't piss in the hot
- 23:34Speaker 3: tap because.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Was that me?
- 23:42Speaker 3: Did anybody else hear that?
- 23:43Speaker 2: Oh?
- 23:44Speaker 1: We heard that?
- 23:45Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 23:45Speaker 3: What the was that?
- 23:46Speaker 1: I think I think the ghost is getting a little
- 23:49Speaker 1: more aggressive and it was just doing some burpees or
- 23:52Speaker 1: something in there.
- 23:53Speaker 3: I think it's r Kelly. Did he die or something
- 23:55Speaker 3: like that? Is this George Forman trying to break through?
- 23:57Speaker 1: Hell, you did talk about piss.
- 24:01Speaker 3: I get That's what I was saying that because I
- 24:04Speaker 3: mentioned piss and then some okay, Uh, that hot tub
- 24:07Speaker 3: looked like a genuine I was waiting to see if I
- 24:10Speaker 3: was gonna trigger it again. Uh, just souper bowl of
- 24:14Speaker 3: piss like it was. Everyone's like, hey, get in it,
- 24:17Speaker 3: and it's just frothy soaping.
- 24:20Speaker 1: It and You're like, nope, nope, I'm not getting in
- 24:23Speaker 1: that well. Burley sent us a video of him in
- 24:25Speaker 1: the hot tub the other morning. Guarantee he was pissing
- 24:27Speaker 1: in it.
- 24:29Speaker 3: Guarantee it, and somebody looked like they were jigt or
- 24:32Speaker 3: pissing at it. I think something's happening real quick. I
- 24:35Speaker 3: think it's gets me. For like ten.
- 24:36Speaker 1: Seconds, you've been so, you've been, just got. He's got
- 24:40Speaker 1: some things happening in his house. He's not really sure.
- 24:42Speaker 1: There could be an animal, there could be a rodent,
- 24:44Speaker 1: there could be a ghost. He could finally, potentially just
- 24:48Speaker 1: have whatever elevation just hitting and peeking at the right time.
- 24:51Speaker 1: But I don't know what's going on, you good mouse, raccoon. Possible,
- 24:56Speaker 1: he's like slamming against the fall. I don't know what
- 24:58Speaker 1: it is, Chicken.
- 25:01Speaker 3: If that coop fell over again, I'm gonna be severely
- 25:04Speaker 3: pissed off. I don't know what. This thing has fallen
- 25:06Speaker 3: over twice with the amount of winds that we have,
- 25:09Speaker 3: and it's like a four hundred pound like utility shed
- 25:13Speaker 3: that we turned into a coop or whatever. So not
- 25:18Speaker 3: only it's it's already heavy, but it has like these
- 25:22Speaker 3: heads like it's betting in and everything else. So then
- 25:25Speaker 3: the runs that's in it, so it has some additional weight,
- 25:29Speaker 3: but it the wind knocked it over like it was
- 25:32Speaker 3: nothing like and even blew it fifteen feet like it's
- 25:37Speaker 3: And I had to lift this thing up by myself
- 25:38Speaker 3: because everyone else in my house is a face.
- 25:42Speaker 1: I'm over the wrestler in the house. Get them out there.
- 25:45Speaker 3: I was like, hey, what the hell? And so I
- 25:47Speaker 3: get over there and I'm trying to struggle and I'm like,
- 25:49Speaker 3: I'm definitely gonna get a hernia, Like I can't wait
- 25:51Speaker 3: to see what this doctor is all about. I was like,
- 25:53Speaker 3: I'm gonna get fundled. But I get this thing like
- 25:58Speaker 3: halfway up finally, like just zar it all the way
- 26:01Speaker 3: and I was able to lift it up with these
- 26:03Speaker 3: I'm like, hey, look at this, Look at this. Nobody
- 26:05Speaker 3: was around to see it. And then my wife comes
- 26:07Speaker 3: around the corner. She's like, hey, how did you get
- 26:10Speaker 3: that up? And I was like yeah. I was like, man,
- 26:12Speaker 3: if you want to see me and lift this thing,
- 26:13Speaker 3: I was like, here's so over now.
- 26:15Speaker 2: And she's like You're disgusting.
- 26:17Speaker 3: She's like, you just can't do anything just without thinking
- 26:19Speaker 3: about that. I was like, this is my only goal.
- 26:22Speaker 3: I was Honestly, if I was single and that would
- 26:25Speaker 3: have blown over, it would have still been there, honestly,
- 26:27Speaker 3: for I probably a mouth. Those chickens can still being
- 26:29Speaker 3: that coop with that thing sideways. I don't care. And
- 26:32Speaker 3: she's like, you're so stupid, and I was like, I
- 26:35Speaker 3: have one goal in life and one ambition. I was like,
- 26:38Speaker 3: that is you and your booty.
- 26:39Speaker 1: Oh.
- 26:39Speaker 3: I was like, let me see it. Let me see
- 26:41Speaker 3: that chocolate starfish.
- 26:47Speaker 2: What strange is this? My friend?
- 26:50Speaker 1: I was gonna say, that's a pretty good one.
- 26:52Speaker 2: Did you see earlier? Respectfully? You see I could tell
- 26:54Speaker 2: when you've been was like looking at his computer because
- 26:56Speaker 2: he was just like this.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it's me Like listening to it, I'm like,
- 27:03Speaker 3: if this chickens around or something, these chickens are with me,
- 27:07Speaker 3: I probably a'm getting sick again. But this new strain,
- 27:10Speaker 3: I forgot what the hell was called a blueberry muffet
- 27:12Speaker 3: or something something generic.
- 27:14Speaker 1: You know, it's good when you forget what it's called.
- 27:16Speaker 3: Yeah, and it's just I get it so often. Also,
- 27:20Speaker 3: the names just all blend together anymore.
- 27:23Speaker 1: Yeah, they got to really, you know, come up with
- 27:25Speaker 1: some names that really stand out, and you know, to
- 27:29Speaker 1: get your attention. I feel, well, if you had to
- 27:32Speaker 1: strain you, but what would you call it?
- 27:34Speaker 3: You should come up on your wings, Dick. I don't know.
- 27:36Speaker 3: That's just the first thing I got there.
- 27:38Speaker 1: You've thought about this, but I feel like you've waited
- 27:40Speaker 1: your entire life for that question to be asked. And
- 27:42Speaker 1: I'm surprised. You know, after all of these episodes, it
- 27:45Speaker 1: was never there. There we go coming to you soon,
- 27:48Speaker 1: John Wicks, Dick.
- 27:49Speaker 2: Dick was just on the tip of your tongue.
- 27:51Speaker 1: There, it always is. He does good work. It always did.
- 27:54Speaker 3: You guys hear that howl too? What the hell is
- 27:57Speaker 3: going on?
- 27:59Speaker 1: I think you guys coyotes out there ravaging, right, that's
- 28:02Speaker 1: not the right word, just trying to get your chickens.
- 28:05Speaker 1: I guess if the rooster stops and the thuds stop,
- 28:09Speaker 1: then the coyote one, which the coyotes did, deserves a
- 28:12Speaker 1: win every once in a while. I mean, poor wily
- 28:14Speaker 1: coyote just never got a win.
- 28:18Speaker 3: It's a chicken laying an egg like howling, like absolutely howling.
- 28:24Speaker 3: So I imagine this air conditioner here sticks outside of the wall,
- 28:29Speaker 3: it is sitting on top of it, laying an egg.
- 28:33Speaker 3: Will it most likely roll off and break. Yes. Are
- 28:38Speaker 3: these chickens stupid?
- 28:40Speaker 2: Yes?
- 28:42Speaker 1: So they all are speaking of stupid. This thing popped
- 28:46Speaker 1: in my brain. Have you guys, I mean, we are
- 28:48Speaker 1: all on social media, whether we create or we view,
- 28:51Speaker 1: you guys seeing the whole Dollar Tree Steaks, and you
- 28:56Speaker 1: guys know that they're back and apparently eat thicker than
- 28:59Speaker 1: ever as their marketing. Apparently they're like a dollar twenty
- 29:02Speaker 1: five ribbi or something like that. Have you Brandon has
- 29:07Speaker 1: never seen this being the food Daddy, I feel like,
- 29:10Speaker 1: I feel like this has to be a video that
- 29:11Speaker 1: you make soon.
- 29:12Speaker 3: You gotta stuff.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Literally gurgled you when you said that, And I don't
- 29:15Speaker 2: think it was a good kind.
- 29:19Speaker 1: Maybe Spaghi Spaghettio's ravioli and Dollar Tree Steaks you gotta gotta.
- 29:24Speaker 1: You gotta definitely check them out. But yeah, it's it's
- 29:27Speaker 1: this new thing. I mean, there's all sorts of people
- 29:30Speaker 1: that are buying them and trying them, and I have
- 29:32Speaker 1: to imagine, I'm going to ask this, would you eat them?
- 29:35Speaker 1: Have you ever eaten something cheaper than your own dignity?
- 29:38Speaker 1: I have to imagine the food Daddy is a hard
- 29:40Speaker 1: pass on.
- 29:41Speaker 2: No, No, I would try I would try it. So
- 29:43Speaker 2: here's the deal. Uh do you remember it's different where
- 29:46Speaker 2: your guys are at. Probably, But in public school, we
- 29:50Speaker 2: had what we called the cheeseburger, was called the California Burger.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Do you guys, did you guys have these California burger
- 29:59Speaker 2: Because there was so yet and so it was it.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Was a sweat dollar tree steak.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Yeah I should I'd buy that. That looked marbled enough.
- 30:10Speaker 2: But uh so, my point is it's just this is
- 30:12Speaker 2: that if I eat school food with god knows what
- 30:15Speaker 2: powdered eggs and who knows knows what else, I would
- 30:19Speaker 2: try some dollar Tree steak as long as I know
- 30:20Speaker 2: it's just straight up meat that ain't nothing, you know,
- 30:23Speaker 2: does it come from cow?
- 30:25Speaker 1: It's let's just say, keep it frozen. I mean, it's
- 30:29Speaker 1: got its own little packaging. It's got us a beef
- 30:32Speaker 1: on it. I mean it's got it comes in like
- 30:36Speaker 1: a package almost like uh, you know, some cheap baloney
- 30:39Speaker 1: with the red ring around it. Try and see what's
- 30:42Speaker 1: on here. It says artificially tenderized. It appears to.
- 30:46Speaker 2: Say yes mostly after work.
- 30:51Speaker 1: Oh, reb steak. It's a The brand is stampede. That's
- 30:58Speaker 1: pretty smart boneless beef Ribbi steak tenderized with boneless, enhanced
- 31:06Speaker 1: with up to do. That's really hard to read this shit,
- 31:10Speaker 1: but yeah, I don't know. I think that's a I
- 31:13Speaker 1: think that's the next move. We buy a dollar tree steak,
- 31:16Speaker 1: and I think you elevate that thing, Brandon. That's some
- 31:19Speaker 1: cheap content, right, go out and buy a dollar dollar
- 31:21Speaker 1: twenty five rebbi.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Are you guys doing anything crazy today for food?
- 31:27Speaker 1: The craziest thing I'm gonna do is drive a whole
- 31:29Speaker 1: bunch of miles and see what's at the concession stand,
- 31:33Speaker 1: because yesterday they had a bold move everything two bucks ooh,
- 31:38Speaker 1: slice of pizza, two bucks, Gatorade two bucks, airheads apparently
- 31:45Speaker 1: two bucks. I'm like, there's no goddamn way I'm paying
- 31:47Speaker 1: two dollars for an airhead. I was and that's of course,
- 31:50Speaker 1: it's a it's a kid running it. I was told
- 31:51Speaker 1: everything's two dollars. I go airheads, one airhead two bucks,
- 31:55Speaker 1: like twenty cents. Yeah, I'm like, is ten of them
- 31:59Speaker 1: for two bucks? And then I just walked away. And
- 32:02Speaker 1: it kind of pissed me off too, because they charge
- 32:04Speaker 1: they which whatever. It's like, listen, we're parents should always
- 32:07Speaker 1: get in free to events, you know what I mean.
- 32:09Speaker 1: But they were going to charge the grandparents of a
- 32:11Speaker 1: kid playing ten dollars a piece to come in and
- 32:14Speaker 1: watch one thirty minute game. I'm like, come on, like
- 32:18Speaker 1: I just dropped thirty bucks for a weekend pass. Get
- 32:21Speaker 1: them in for nothing. They're like two dollar confessions.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Parents have to play or I have to pay. Uh
- 32:29Speaker 3: at every sport that we go to. It is insane,
- 32:33Speaker 3: Like we have like for their home games, we have
- 32:35Speaker 3: a pass that we get to pay for the entire season,
- 32:39Speaker 3: which is entirely worth it. Since my daughter never says
- 32:42Speaker 3: no to any sport except for track, which I'm very
- 32:45Speaker 3: fortunate I don't have to watch that.
- 32:47Speaker 1: So you have to pay to get into your own
- 32:49Speaker 1: kids events at the school.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Yeah? Absolutely, yeah, every dude. It's so frustrating.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Oh see in our ers find children to be on
- 33:01Speaker 2: these teams.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Dude, it's exactly so you have to pay for all
- 33:05Speaker 3: of their equipment. You have to pay for the so
- 33:11Speaker 3: inter fee they even charge, so students get in for
- 33:14Speaker 3: free or and no apps. No, actually, so kids under
- 33:19Speaker 3: four or under five get in for free. Their students
- 33:23Speaker 3: get to discount. They're usually like two bucks and then
- 33:27Speaker 3: parents are usually about anywhere between four to six bucks
- 33:32Speaker 3: a pop each each game every time. So it's not
- 33:37Speaker 3: like terrible, but I still hate it.
- 33:40Speaker 1: It's not stupid. I mean, yeah, if it's a twenty
- 33:43Speaker 1: game basketball season and you're dropping that kind of money,
- 33:46Speaker 1: it adds up pretty good.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:49Speaker 1: I don't know if it's all of New Yorker, at
- 33:51Speaker 1: least in our county, but they have banned schools being
- 33:55Speaker 1: able to charge for events. And I know a lot
- 33:57Speaker 1: of it was because now that they have like the
- 33:59Speaker 1: NFHS network and the ability to broadcast because of COVID,
- 34:02Speaker 1: people just weren't showing up. And it's like, at this point,
- 34:05Speaker 1: we want, we want the kids, and and there's families
- 34:08Speaker 1: in the districts that can't afford and they're gonna be
- 34:10Speaker 1: able to drop hundreds of dollars to go watch their
- 34:11Speaker 1: kids play and buy the shoes and buy this. So
- 34:14Speaker 1: thankfully they stop charging, except for cheerleading. Apparently they still
- 34:19Speaker 1: charged you to get into that ship and apparently it
- 34:21Speaker 1: was a big controversy in the cheerleading game around these parts.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I don't Yeah, we even t ball they
- 34:30Speaker 3: charged for.
- 34:31Speaker 1: Can you believe that yeah, there's no way.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Yeah. They told me kids like, hey, you know, since
- 34:38Speaker 3: you're a coach, you don't have to pay to get
- 34:40Speaker 3: into any games. And I'm like, is it there is
- 34:44Speaker 3: a whole? But there must be a chicken arm. I
- 34:46Speaker 3: don't even have that much left. But they are trying
- 34:48Speaker 3: to break through this wall right now, and I don't
- 34:50Speaker 3: understand what's going on. It's quasy love, but I'll.
- 34:53Speaker 1: Be like, hey, there's there's a there's what you might
- 34:57Speaker 1: call it blueberry muffins in there. Speaking of sports esquam
- 35:00Speaker 1: on stuff, there was something that went very viral in
- 35:04Speaker 1: my state. There's a team called Northville, right, and this
- 35:09Speaker 1: team girls team. They've been to the state championship back
- 35:13Speaker 1: to back years, lost back to back years. And on
- 35:17Speaker 1: the NFH network where they're doing there, you know, the
- 35:19Speaker 1: game's over, they're kind of panning, you know, here's the winners,
- 35:22Speaker 1: this and that, and then they're talking about the team
- 35:23Speaker 1: that just lost the great year they had, and all
- 35:25Speaker 1: of a sudden, the coach comes up, grabs one of
- 35:29Speaker 1: the girl's ponytails, pulls her hair and then like start
- 35:33Speaker 1: screaming at her and shit, and like we're watching this
- 35:35Speaker 1: game live. The team that won the States is you know,
- 35:37Speaker 1: fairly close to us, and the guy's name was Jim Zulo.
- 35:42Speaker 1: Older guy just lost his wife in the last year
- 35:45Speaker 1: he had been retired. They more or less begged this
- 35:48Speaker 1: guy to come back last year. I believe he's got
- 35:51Speaker 1: him to two state championships and that has gone. When
- 35:57Speaker 1: I say viral, you guys actually know what a viral
- 35:59Speaker 1: video did is because I think you've been gave me like,
- 36:01Speaker 1: oh my god, I saw it like that video went
- 36:04Speaker 1: viral that.
- 36:05Speaker 3: I saw that, I was gonna bring that up to you.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I had no idea that's it was close to you.
- 36:09Speaker 3: But that Brandon, have you seen this yet?
- 36:11Speaker 2: Uh yeah, I'll show you.
- 36:14Speaker 3: It's crazy because apparently the kudos to the young woman
- 36:17Speaker 3: who stepped in to kind of like granddaughter. I heard
- 36:20Speaker 3: it was his great niece or something that his granddaughter.
- 36:24Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, his own granddaughter.
- 36:34Speaker 1: No, no, granddaughter's on right here. That's like, no, no,
- 36:37Speaker 1: knock it off. And they're going back and forth. Now.
- 36:39Speaker 1: The girl that that he did that too, was like
- 36:41Speaker 1: their star player. She followed out, I'm not condoning. I
- 36:45Speaker 1: think you never do that as a guy that coaches
- 36:48Speaker 1: you don't do physical stuff anymore. Was it like that
- 36:52Speaker 1: back in the day, no coaches had You know, I've
- 36:55Speaker 1: been grabbed by the throat, I've been grabbed, I've been
- 36:57Speaker 1: whatever it was. It was it right? Probably not, But
- 37:00Speaker 1: to do this is wrong. I'm not saying that, but
- 37:05Speaker 1: from what I've been told, this person very disrespectful, very mouthy.
- 37:10Speaker 1: I'm assuming they're all in the heat of the moment.
- 37:12Speaker 1: They just lost their second straight championship. She probably said something.
- 37:16Speaker 1: He's an old school guy, reacted in just the way
- 37:19Speaker 1: that he's reacted again, not condoning it's right, just just
- 37:24Speaker 1: a weird observation. But I mean, you don't do that.
- 37:27Speaker 1: I mean, at the end of the day, you just
- 37:29Speaker 1: don't do that. But like I said, it's not a
- 37:31Speaker 1: good Obviously they fired him, and you know, everybody on
- 37:35Speaker 1: the internet is of course, you know, a lawyer now
- 37:37Speaker 1: and wanting more and wanting this, and it's like it's done,
- 37:42Speaker 1: it's over, let it go. Nobody was hurt. I mean,
- 37:44Speaker 1: was it right again? No, but that kid didn't get hurt.
- 37:48Speaker 1: You know, it's not like he punched her. Again, it's
- 37:51Speaker 1: not right, but there's no physical harm from what is done.
- 37:56Speaker 3: One hundred percent coming out from the if that was
- 37:59Speaker 3: my child from the bleachers, like I'm a WWE wrestler
- 38:02Speaker 3: and I am kicking that old in the face like
- 38:04Speaker 3: that is uh. I think there is never an appropriate
- 38:08Speaker 3: time to ever grab a child by their their hair
- 38:13Speaker 3: or anything, especially a young woman. But yeah, no, that's uh.
- 38:17Speaker 2: I saw that.
- 38:17Speaker 3: I was like, that is absolutely wild.
- 38:21Speaker 1: That happened to my kid. I guarantee you she's punching
- 38:24Speaker 1: the coach herself for sure.
- 38:28Speaker 2: That wasn't just like a random grandpa in the stands.
- 38:31Speaker 2: That was coach.
- 38:32Speaker 1: That was the coach, the main the head coach.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, no, so here here. I don't know why
- 38:38Speaker 2: in my mind real quick, I know, I know we're
- 38:41Speaker 2: going to end here. I don't know why. In my
- 38:42Speaker 2: mind I thought to my I think to myself that
- 38:44Speaker 2: if it was a fan or a grandparent from the stands,
- 38:47Speaker 2: it's worse than a coach because it's not I don't
- 38:51Speaker 2: care if it's his granddaughter or not, And it's not
- 38:53Speaker 2: in this case, as you said, it's just the star player. Yeah,
- 38:55Speaker 2: that's a no. No, that's I don't even think it
- 38:58Speaker 2: should be acceptable. Thirty forty years years ago.
- 39:01Speaker 1: Oh no, It wasn't, but it was, you know what
- 39:03Speaker 1: I mean. But in what I think a lot of
- 39:05Speaker 1: people's brains went through, like if he's doing this at
- 39:09Speaker 1: the state championship, the highest level game that you could,
- 39:13Speaker 1: what's happening in practices, you know what I mean? Like
- 39:16Speaker 1: that's not filmed behind closed doors, hopefully nothing, but I
- 39:20Speaker 1: do have to imagine that's exactly what the school district
- 39:23Speaker 1: didn't want to happen. Is now it's going to be
- 39:26Speaker 1: a full blown investigation, which rightful lee is so it should,
- 39:29Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Because if that's there's some
- 39:31Speaker 1: things going on, you know, they're yeah, step in, let's
- 39:35Speaker 1: do some criminal charges and move on.
- 39:37Speaker 2: Ya.
- 39:37Speaker 1: It's and like I said, I coach not only girl athletes,
- 39:41Speaker 1: but I've coached a lot of athletes, and never once
- 39:45Speaker 1: should anybody coach parent anybody be able to put their
- 39:49Speaker 1: hands on somebody like that. That's disgusting.
- 39:52Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just and he's going to have to live
- 39:54Speaker 3: with the fact that that's going to be heavily publicized
- 39:57Speaker 3: for the rest of his few days.
- 40:01Speaker 1: Yeah, from people I've talked about, I'm pretty sure old
- 40:03Speaker 1: Jim doesn't give a shit, you know what I mean.
- 40:05Speaker 1: He's an old old dude, old old school vibes, doesn't
- 40:10Speaker 1: really have much family left. It's an unfortunate thing. But
- 40:14Speaker 1: and I guess I'm not sure that dude's really checking
- 40:16Speaker 1: out social media. But it's gonna be all over the papers,
- 40:18Speaker 1: all over the news in a moment where it's like
- 40:21Speaker 1: your kid's lost a heartbreaking They were in it till
- 40:23Speaker 1: the end state championship for the second straight year, and
- 40:28Speaker 1: that's blown up out of like for the right reasons,
- 40:32Speaker 1: Like that's what the state championship is gonna be enough,
- 40:34Speaker 1: not the whole accomplishment of every kid, what they did,
- 40:37Speaker 1: all of the great things that's known. For what old
- 40:41Speaker 1: Jim the knucklehead did in a terrible moment, and the
- 40:45Speaker 1: timing for that to be caught is unbelievable because the
- 40:49Speaker 1: cameras are being controlled and it randomly just happened to
- 40:53Speaker 1: be there when it happened and it was all over.
- 40:56Speaker 1: I mean, I was watching the game live. I kind
- 40:58Speaker 1: of once the game was over, really care about the thing,
- 41:00Speaker 1: so like I was kind of doing some other things.
- 41:03Speaker 1: But I mean, the entire I don't know how many
- 41:05Speaker 1: people were watching that game. It's there, and if it
- 41:08Speaker 1: didn't pan over only people that potentially were in the stands,
- 41:11Speaker 1: and what are the odds again that somebody's recording it? So,
- 41:14Speaker 1: I mean, you know, kudos to that camera person and
- 41:17Speaker 1: producer for the state that just happened to catch a
- 41:19Speaker 1: moment that should have been caught. You know.
- 41:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that's I mean, it's it was right there. I'm
- 41:27Speaker 3: just I'm again so surprised that was close to you
- 41:29Speaker 3: and you actually kne who it was and everything, because
- 41:31Speaker 3: I was just going to share a team be like, hey,
- 41:33Speaker 3: what's this.
- 41:34Speaker 1: So the team isn't close to me, the Northville or whatever, Lefargeville,
- 41:38Speaker 1: the team that beat them is pretty close to me.
- 41:40Speaker 1: And the team that beat them last year is called Hammond,
- 41:44Speaker 1: and that's one that's in our section, Like we play
- 41:46Speaker 1: them all the time. They're like twenty five thirty minutes away.
- 41:49Speaker 1: The Northville team, though I don't I don't know that,
- 41:51Speaker 1: but you know, coaches, no coaches the coach that I know,
- 41:54Speaker 1: and you know, all these other people are like, yeah,
- 41:56Speaker 1: that's the great The granddaughter was the one that stuck
- 41:59Speaker 1: up for the other girl. This is this girl and
- 42:00Speaker 1: of course, just so it's crazy, but yeah, that video
- 42:05Speaker 1: and I had to send to me like quickly, because
- 42:08Speaker 1: somebody put it on Facebook and they were like, holy shit,
- 42:11Speaker 1: did you see this? Because you're they knew I was
- 42:13Speaker 1: watching the game. I'm like, no, I must have missed
- 42:14Speaker 1: a holy shit. And the next thing, you know, that
- 42:16Speaker 1: video you know, half a million views, which you know
- 42:20Speaker 1: from a personal account whatever, Like that's quite a bit.
- 42:22Speaker 1: But then I think like a news channel, because somebody
- 42:24Speaker 1: else sent it from a news channel and when they
- 42:26Speaker 1: posted it, it was like over ten million views and
- 42:29Speaker 1: rising quickly. So I was like, damn, I should have
- 42:33Speaker 1: post this shit on the Beard Lost page. Shit right,
- 42:39Speaker 1: I was like, I don't want that on there, so
- 42:43Speaker 1: but uh yeah, I don't know. I think that's uh,
- 42:47Speaker 1: let's go ahead and ended. I know, we got a
- 42:48Speaker 1: bunch of stuff to we got hold of, Matt.
- 42:51Speaker 2: You never shared what your go to poor meal.
- 42:53Speaker 1: Is like today or when you were a kid. When
- 43:00Speaker 1: I was a kid, mostly for us, it was it
- 43:03Speaker 1: was a lot of Kraft mac and cheese and the
- 43:05Speaker 1: knockoff brand mac and cheese. Occasionally we'd get the hot
- 43:08Speaker 1: dog caught up in there to really get the extra proteins.
- 43:11Speaker 1: And then I got kind of you know, for me,
- 43:14Speaker 1: I was like, let's elevate this a little more. I'd
- 43:16Speaker 1: put a little ketchup in there, give a little different,
- 43:19Speaker 1: give a little different taste. So, yeah, the Kraft mac
- 43:21Speaker 1: and cheese. If we had the money for that hot
- 43:23Speaker 1: dog and some cats.
- 43:24Speaker 2: I know you've been going to say, cains Hins the
- 43:27Speaker 2: only way to go. You've been going to say no
- 43:29Speaker 2: to this. But have you guys ever had chili mac
- 43:30Speaker 2: where you just take mac and cheese, normal box and
- 43:32Speaker 2: then pour can of chili in it, mix it up.
- 43:34Speaker 1: Oh? I have. It's been a while, and I actually
- 43:37Speaker 1: got a can of Wendy's chili.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Good.
- 43:40Speaker 3: I want chili so bad. That sounds really good. I
- 43:43Speaker 3: know it's only like ten o'clock in the morning for me,
- 43:45Speaker 3: but I need.
- 43:47Speaker 2: I'm going to Wendy's right now.
- 43:49Speaker 1: So yeah, so you went from going to Taco Bell
- 43:52Speaker 1: going to Arby's. Wendy's is where you're going.
- 43:54Speaker 2: Because I said Taco Bell, you've been said Wendy's are
- 43:57Speaker 2: Arby's and Arby's is right across from Wendy's.
- 43:59Speaker 3: And I was like, chili, get both, get get a
- 44:03Speaker 3: get an Arby's roast beef with the sided chili and
- 44:06Speaker 3: get he treat yourself, get a get a Frosty of
- 44:09Speaker 3: course while you're there.
- 44:10Speaker 2: Absolutely have the ships in four hours.
- 44:12Speaker 3: Well check your Wendy's at because there's probably a free
- 44:15Speaker 3: item that you can get while you're there as well.
- 44:17Speaker 1: I already did I know what I'm getting your birthday month.
- 44:20Speaker 3: They probably have birthday stuff, so you might as well
- 44:22Speaker 3: get some birthdays to Oh good, it's slutty with it.
- 44:26Speaker 3: Send me what you send me, send me a picture
- 44:29Speaker 3: of what you get.
- 44:30Speaker 1: God, I was gonna say I want to see the
- 44:33Speaker 1: final result, but I don't want to see the ship,
- 44:35Speaker 1: so I want to see the final decision before it's consumed.
- 44:38Speaker 2: Last thing I'm saying today. Also, I'm making on the smoker.
- 44:41Speaker 2: My wife bought me for my birthday one of those
- 44:43Speaker 2: pizza stones, so I'm making homemade pizza and nacho cheese dips.
- 44:47Speaker 2: So it's gonna be amazing. I'll send you pictures.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Well, that is gonna be a good day. I'm gonna
- 44:51Speaker 1: probably be in a school eating some shitty pizza. I
- 44:55Speaker 1: passed on the pizzacause I don't want to shoot at
- 44:56Speaker 1: the school. So keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
- 45:00Speaker 3: Everybody, make a grilled cheese.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Guys, I know I gotta go. All right, I'm gonna
- 45:05Speaker 1: grab a snack of something before we hit the road.
- 45:07Speaker 1: But Brandon, you've been appreciate the hell to you. Guys,
- 45:10Speaker 1: anybody listening for whatever reason, we appreciate you. Well, get
- 45:13Speaker 1: some chili, get some Wendy's, get some Marbie, support your
- 45:16Speaker 1: local businesses, and uh, that's all we got. We'll be
- 45:19Speaker 1: back next week. Be good to your waners. Bye bye.
- 45:22Speaker 1: Oh wait before today, it's opening day of baseball at
- 45:26Speaker 1: the time the recording comes out, so hopefully your team wins. Yeah,
- 45:30Speaker 1: let's go Cracker Jacks go yeah, yeah, go Pirates. The
- 45:36Speaker 1: only time there relevant is the first month of the
- 45:38Speaker 1: year sometimes, so all right, for real this time, enjoy baseball.
- 45:41Speaker 1: We're back, baby, That's all we got.
- 45:44Speaker 4: Bye bye.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Knocking there, it's the podcast, you toys, stay out of
- 45:49Speaker 1: my fish, Ready to explore.
- 45:52Speaker 2: Gotta tail and tale, gonna make you laugh.
- 45:54Speaker 1: It makes you smile so upside you're turning deep into
- 46:01Speaker 1: your feet with secret
