- 0:58Hello and welcome to another episode of the Arise Women of God podcast.
- 1:03I'm your host, Tamara K.
- 1:04Andersen, and I'm so excited to be with you today as we dive into the Bible to find out how exactly Jesus defined, managed and defeated spiritual darkness.
- 1:15To do this, we're breaking down three critical pillars taught us in the New Testament.
- 1:20First, the threat profile and the deception blueprint, where we're going to unpack how Jesus exposed the enemy's hidden operational goals of stealing your peace and shaming your identity.
- 1:35Second, we'll look at the strongmen law and the power of an audible eviction.
- 1:41Here we'll share the precise legal mechanics Jesus modeled to bind household intruders and cast out negative, looping, intrusive thoughts.
- 1:51So by speaking scripture.
- 1:53Third, we will share the sifting shield and the vacant house trap.
- 1:58We will talk about learning how to pray Christ centered intercessory prayers over your children so that their faith doesn't shatter when they are violently shaken by the world.
- 2:10All right, let's begin by defining the enemy's core strategy.
- 2:15If you want to stop a spot spiritual fire in your home, you have to know exactly how the arsonist operates.
- 2:23In John 8:44, Jesus pulled back the curtain and exposed the baseline goals of the adversary, declaring he was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there was no truth in him.
- 2:41When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.
- 2:49Jesus defines the enemy's primary weapon as deception or lies.
- 2:56Spiritual warfare is not a battle of physical muscle.
- 3:00It is a battle of beliefs and what you are thinking in your mind.
- 3:04It is a calculated assault of lies targeted directly at you or your children's identity, your worth, your value.
- 3:14Because the enemy's weapon is a lie.
- 3:17His Target is always to destroy your strength and stability.
- 3:23Look at how Jesus outlines the enemy's threat profile in John 10:10, where he says, the thief cometh not but to steal and to kill and to destroy.
- 3:35I am come.
- 3:36That they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly.
- 3:41Sister, I want you to remember these tactics of the adversary.
- 3:45Steal, kill, and destroy.
- 3:48The adversary is actively trying to steal your peace from your home.
- 3:53Kill the fragile faith inside your teenager's heart and completely destroy you, your family, and your home sanctuary.
- 4:01But Jesus didn't just leave us with a warning.
- 4:04He gave us a powerful, binding legal law to stop that theft.
- 4:11In Matthew, chapter 12, verse 29, Jesus speaks the rules of engagement.
- 4:17Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man, and then he will spoil his house.
- 4:28Think about that.
- 4:29Your children's minds, their emotions, and the harmony of your marriage are precious household goods that God has placed under your management.
- 4:40And his goal is to bind you as the guardian of the home so that he can enter and ruin those goods with anxiety, addiction, or rage.
- 4:50But the good news is, Jesus teaches us that we have the legal right to cast out the adversary.
- 4:57You don't have to fix the behavior.
- 4:59First.
- 5:00You get on your knees and you bind that strong man of chaos, attempting to occupy the room, commanding him to depart.
- 5:08In the name of Jesus Christ.
- 5:11And because we do it in his name, through faith in him, the adversary will depart.
- 5:19Once you understand the law of the binding, you have to know how to deliver the command on the battlefield.
- 5:26When Jesus was attacked by the devil in the wilderness, he didn't quietly just overthink it.
- 5:32He.
- 5:32He opened his mouth and commanded an audible eviction notice.
- 5:38In Matthew 4:10, he said, Then saith Jesus unto him, get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
- 5:49Jesus modeled the exact tactical response for us when we are flooded with dark or shaming thoughts, or when your kids are escalating into uncharacteristic anger.
- 6:02I invite you to open your mouth and speak.
- 6:05Get thee hence, Satan, for it is written, the Lord is my fortress.
- 6:10The adversary cannot read your thoughts, but he is legally required to obey your spoken command.
- 6:17In the name of Jesus Christ.
- 6:20Now, what happens when you're dealing with a crisis that feels incredibly stubborn, and you have prayed and prayed over it, and it just doesn't seem to be enough?
- 6:30Jesus taught us that certain frontline battles require an upscale, which he teaches us in Matthew, chapter 17, verse 21, after his disciples failed to cast out a destructive spirit from a young boy, Jesus revealed the secret howbeit this
- 6:48kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.
- 6:53He teaches us that we cannot fight heavyweight strongholds with lightweight routines.
- 7:00When the giant in your home refuses to budge up the ante, combine specific targeted prayer warfare and maybe inviting a congregation or close knit group of family and friends to pray and fast for you and your problems.
- 7:17You may need that additional strength to break the adversary's hold.
- 7:23All right, let's wrap it up by talking about perhaps the most intimate window we have into how Jesus manages spiritual warfare for those he loves, which is found right before the betrayal.
- 7:36In the upper room.
- 7:37The Savior looked directly at Simon Peter and said, in Luke chapter 22, verses 31 and 32.
- 7:45And the Lord said, simon, Simon, behold, Satan has desired to have you that he may sift you as wheat.
- 7:53But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not.
- 7:58And when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.
- 8:02Sisters.
- 8:03The enemy's deepest desire is to violently shake, confuse and sift your family until your confidence in God completely shatters.
- 8:14But look at how Jesus stopped the shifting, stopped the sifting.
- 8:19He didn't change Peter's circumstances, He changed his spiritual coverage.
- 8:25But I have prayed for you that your faith fail not as a mother guardian.
- 8:32You can step directly into that intercessory role.
- 8:36When your children walk out the door into a toxic world, you stand in the gap on your knees and with the power of your prayers, look at heaven and say, heavenly Father, the adversary desires to sift me and
- 8:51my children and my family as wheat today.
- 8:55But I am wrapping them with this shielding prayer.
- 8:58Protect their minds so that their faith fails not.
- 9:03And when they win this battle, let them turn around and strengthen their peers, and you can close that in the name of Jesus Christ.
- 9:12Well, my friends, Jesus never told us that spiritual warfare wouldn't happen.
- 9:17But he gave us every single key, scriptural sword and tactical law to ensure our ultimate victory.
- 9:26But as you begin to cast out darkness from your home, you must remember a crucial warning Jesus gave in Matthew chapter 12, where he told the parable about an unclean spirit that is cast out of a person, but
- 9:41returns later to find the house swept decorated and completely empty.
- 9:47Because it's vacant, it brings seven other spirits more wicked than itself to move in, making the final state worse than the first.
- 9:58It's not enough to simply yell at the dart, drop the bad behavior and execute a quick prayer eviction.
- 10:05If you leave your home atmosphere empty, the enemy will return with reinforcements.
- 10:11You must aggressively fill and replace the void by bringing in light peace, filling your home with praise music, reading Scripture, and having holy family routines to help you systematically run an audit over your boundaries, I want to give

- 11:00I'd love to conclude with one final verse and promise from the Savior.
- 11:05In John, chapter 14, verse 27, Jesus says, Peace, I leave with you my peace.
- 11:12I give unto you not as the world giveth, give I unto you.
- 11:17Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.
- 11:21Notice that this verse is a direct command from the King.
- 11:26Let not your heart be troubled.
- 11:29Ground yourself in him, for he is indeed mighty to save.
- 11:35And until next time, may you feel God's peace and abide with him and arise.
