- 0:01Michelle Moore: Good morning everyone.
- 0:03Michelle Moore: It is Valentine's Day.
- 0:06Michelle Moore: It's a special day for most couples.
- 0:09Michelle Moore: Dan and I are here with the Marriage Life and More podcast and we just wanted to throw out a small little Valentine's podcast this morning.
- 0:21Michelle Moore: So what I'm going to do is just go into a small devotion and then we're going to kind of just make things up as we go this morning.
- 0:31Michelle Moore: So for February 14th, my devotional reads Day of Love Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
- 0:50Michelle Moore: Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love, and that's out of 1 John, 4, 7 and 8.
- 1:00Michelle Moore: This day of love often carries many emotions, some positive, others not.
- 1:08Michelle Moore: It can be exciting for those falling in love, nostalgic for those who have been in love, disappointing for those who have not yet found love, and sorrowful for those that have lost love.
- 1:22Michelle Moore: And sorrowful for those that have lost love.
- 1:24Michelle Moore: Take the romantic notion out of it and love is still at the core of our beings.
- 1:31Michelle Moore: We recognize it through our relationships with family and friends.
- 1:36Michelle Moore: Love is to be celebrated, but let's be reminded of where love comes from.
- 1:41Michelle Moore: It comes from God, and he alone is the only true example of it.
- 1:48Michelle Moore: Whatever love camp you're in today, remember that God is the one who is always faithful, he is the one that keeps His promises and he will forever show His love to the world.
- 2:02Michelle Moore: What about your part?
- 2:04Michelle Moore: Are you able to show your love for God today?
- 2:09Daniel Moore: That's really good.
- 2:10Michelle Moore: I thought so too, and that fit perfect with Valentine's Day it did so.
- 2:16Daniel Moore: Michelle got up a couple mornings ago and she told me.
- 2:20Daniel Moore: She said so we're going to do a podcast for Valentine's Day and she wanted to know if I could still write a poem.
- 2:28Daniel Moore: And I told her I'm like I don't know if I can still write a poem.
- 2:33Daniel Moore: I've been married a long time now and you kind of forget about that stuff after a while, because I know if you guys have been listening to our series, you know she told you how I used to be real sentimental and wrote poems and stuff and I don't do it anymore.
- 2:46Daniel Moore: I told her.
- 2:49Daniel Moore: I said, okay, we're going to go for this.
- 2:51Daniel Moore: So she decided that we're going to record this for Valentine's Day and she's going to run the show.
- 2:58Daniel Moore: Yes, I'm running it.
- 3:02Michelle Moore: So I have pulled off some conversation hearts for couples, and so if you're listening to this podcast, if you're by yourself, write some of these down, take it home.
- 3:15Michelle Moore: Let your spouse ask these questions.
- 3:18Michelle Moore: So I kind of asked these earlier to Daniel and he just kind of looked at me and he's like, where did you get these from?
- 3:26Michelle Moore: And I just started laughing.
- 3:27Michelle Moore: I'm like, well, I got it from someplace, good.
- 3:32Michelle Moore: But okay, I'm like it took him forever to answer some of these.
- 3:36Michelle Moore: So I'm just going to kind of throw some stuff out there.
- 3:40Michelle Moore: He may hear some good, mushy stuff and he may not, and I may get the look from him.
- 3:47Daniel Moore: You may hear pass.
- 3:52Michelle Moore: So let's see.
- 3:53Michelle Moore: Okay, so pick which you'd rather receive a long love letter with lots of details or a long voicemail from yours truly?
- 4:09Daniel Moore: so my wife knows how I feel about the phone.
- 4:11Daniel Moore: So my wife knows how I feel about the phone and so I would have to say that probably a love letter, because I really detest having to sit and talk on the phone, listen to voicemails, answer the phone.
- 4:24Daniel Moore: I worked at a job for a long time where I had to answer a lot of phone calls and angry clients and everything else and that really burnt me out on the phone.
- 4:34Daniel Moore: So I would say probably love letters would be my preferred option on that one.
- 4:40Michelle Moore: That would be the same for me as well.
- 4:42Michelle Moore: I prefer my love letters.
- 4:44Michelle Moore: I like to keep those so that I can go back and read them.
- 4:47Michelle Moore: They're just kind of a memory for me, and when I see that you personally took time to hand write it, it means a lot to me.
- 4:57Michelle Moore: Versus you can talk to, you know, in your phone.
- 5:00Michelle Moore: It just means a lot more to me, yep.
- 5:02Michelle Moore: So what's your favorite color on me?
- 5:06Daniel Moore: That'd probably be red.
- 5:08Michelle Moore: Why my?
- 5:08Daniel Moore: lady in red.
- 5:09Daniel Moore: Oh, there's a rock song about that, I think.
- 5:13Michelle Moore: I have no idea if there is Lady in Red.
- 5:14Michelle Moore: There's a rock song about that, I think.
- 5:14Michelle Moore: I have no idea if there is.
- 5:15Daniel Moore: Lady in Red.
- 5:17Michelle Moore: Look at you guys.
- 5:19Daniel Moore: Even sing it to you.
- 5:20Daniel Moore: Okay, that's all I know of the song.
- 5:21Daniel Moore: Okay, I had to go look the lyrics up on the internet.
- 5:26Michelle Moore: Well, my favorite color on you is green I feel like it really brings out your eyes or blue.
- 5:34Michelle Moore: You have kind of that mystery eye color of multiple colors brown, green, blue.
- 5:43Michelle Moore: I mean it's just and I think it goes by whatever mood he's in and but I like green on him.
- 5:50Michelle Moore: He looks good in green.
- 5:52Daniel Moore: You ever seen red in my eyes?
- 5:54Michelle Moore: Only when you're mad.
- 5:55Michelle Moore: It's actually more on your face than your eyes.
- 5:58Michelle Moore: I can tell by that vein on your forehead.
- 6:01Daniel Moore: I'm just making sure my colors are still working.
- 6:03Michelle Moore: Oh, okay.
- 6:04Michelle Moore: If you could eat only one cuisine for the rest of your life, which would you choose?
- 6:13Michelle Moore: We all know this one.
- 6:14Michelle Moore: If you're close to Daniel, you're going to know it.
- 6:18Daniel Moore: Yep Tacos.
- 6:20Michelle Moore: Tacos were the win.
- 6:22Michelle Moore: That's right.
- 6:22Michelle Moore: I could fix tacos every night and he'd be perfectly happy.
- 6:25Daniel Moore: Yep, I like Mexican in general, yeah, but tacos are my favorite.
- 6:29Daniel Moore: Yeah, with the homemade shells.
- 6:33Michelle Moore: Yes, and you make a mean homemade shell.
- 6:35Michelle Moore: So we were laughing about this one earlier because neither one of us I asked him.
- 6:42Michelle Moore: I said do you like it better when I massage your back or your feet?
- 6:45Michelle Moore: Which one would you prefer right now?
- 6:48Michelle Moore: And we both laughed because neither one of us touch each other's feet.
- 6:51Daniel Moore: No, and I don't get a back massage very often.
- 6:55Michelle Moore: And you don't give me one either, so it works out perfectly, so we'll just fantasize about which one is going to feel better.
- 7:03Michelle Moore: We'll see.
- 7:05Michelle Moore: How do you dream?
- 7:09Michelle Moore: God will use our marriage.
- 7:12Daniel Moore: Well, I think that he's brought us to a point that he's going to use our marriage as our testimony, absolutely.
- 7:17Daniel Moore: And the fact that we can help others, hopefully, that are maybe going through stuff that we're going through, or if they hear our horror stories, that they'll decide that, hey, I don't want to go that route.
- 7:28Daniel Moore: Yeah, so I'm going to make sure that I take care of issues and take care of things as they come up, and so that's the whole purpose of you know, the things that we go through in life, we can turn around for the good, and that's how I look at it.
- 7:41Daniel Moore: You know, according to our marriage, yeah, I would agree with that.
- 7:49Michelle Moore: What's your favorite face I make at you?
- 7:50Michelle Moore: Notice he's laughing already.
- 7:58Daniel Moore: This is kind of scary actually so I like when I tell her a dumb joke, yes, or a dad joke, something that I know that she's gonna think's really stupid, and then she, she gives me that, that face that I don't know how you describe it it's just a look like that was dumb yeah, it's like that was the dumbest thing ever heard, as he's sitting over there rolling.
- 8:15Daniel Moore: And so the yeah, so the more dumb look that I can get.
- 8:20Daniel Moore: That's probably my favorite.
- 8:22Daniel Moore: I try to top that every day.
- 8:25Michelle Moore: And he does.
- 8:25Michelle Moore: I'll just look at him like I don't get it and that was stupid, like why would I waste my energy even laughing?
- 8:32Michelle Moore: And he just he's over there dying laughing and I'm just like I don't know what you're talking about.
- 8:40Michelle Moore: Um, let's see.
- 8:42Daniel Moore: And I told her.
- 8:42Daniel Moore: I said how many questions do you have?
- 8:44Michelle Moore: I'm actually trying not to ask all of them.
- 8:46Daniel Moore: She just kept whipping these pages out, with all these hearts and questions.
- 8:51Michelle Moore: Oh, my goodness gracious, let's get a little steamy, because it's Valentine's Day.
- 8:54Michelle Moore: When did you first kiss me?
- 8:59Daniel Moore: That would probably have been around 2001, the year before we got married.
- 9:06Michelle Moore: Okay, and let's see what's the best compliment you've ever received probably.
- 9:20Daniel Moore: I mean, I'm told a lot that I'm smart, so that would probably probably be one of the ones I've gotten the most from just random people.
- 9:33Daniel Moore: I guess that's what you're asking.
- 9:35Michelle Moore: Yeah.
- 9:36Daniel Moore: Yeah.
- 9:37Michelle Moore: I think probably my best compliment was is that I have a giving heart.
- 9:44Daniel Moore: Yep.
- 9:46Michelle Moore: And so um.
- 9:48Daniel Moore: I've heard a lot of people tell you that.
- 9:50Michelle Moore: I cherish that because I don't want it to be about me.
- 9:53Michelle Moore: So that's, that's one of my best compliments.
- 9:56Michelle Moore: Um, do, do, do, do.
- 9:59Michelle Moore: Um.
- 10:00Michelle Moore: What's your favorite birthday memory Do you have, since we've been together and his birthday is in August everybody.
- 10:09Daniel Moore: So we, we don't do a whole lot in August, even for his birthday no, I've stopped those birthdays yeah, he doesn't like come around anymore he does not like celebrating his birthday at all, so actually he tries to make sure we're always gone yeah, we haven't really done a whole lot on my birthday over the years, but here about a couple, two or three years ago we went to arkansas to hot springs and stayed for the weekend, went to the wachita mountains, done some kayaking and I mean that's.
- 10:44Daniel Moore: That was a really phenomenal trip.
- 10:46Daniel Moore: Really enjoyed that yeah so that's probably, but that's one of the biggest trips we've taken on my birthday as well.
- 10:52Daniel Moore: It was actually right at that time frame.
- 10:54Daniel Moore: But yeah, that's probably one of the biggest trips we've taken on my birthday as well.
- 10:54Daniel Moore: It was actually right at that time frame.
- 10:55Daniel Moore: But yeah, that's probably one of the best memories that I have for that.
- 11:02Michelle Moore: Daniel got a two for one for my birthday.
- 11:05Michelle Moore: So he got our anniversary on March 9th and my birthday is March 13th, so it's all in a week's time, so he kind of gets lucky with it.
- 11:17Michelle Moore: But we generally usually go down to bed and breakfast in Branson and just kind of spend time together and sometimes it's snowing and sometimes it's great weather.
- 11:27Michelle Moore: But a couple of years ago we went on a cruise with my brother and his wife and kids and my mom and I absolutely had a blast.
- 11:38Daniel Moore: Yeah.
- 11:39Michelle Moore: It was a blast.
- 11:41Daniel Moore: Yep, those are always good times.
- 11:42Michelle Moore: Yes, I would have to say that's my most memorable one.
- 11:45Michelle Moore: So this is the last question and it's not on the sheet.
- 11:50Michelle Moore: So I'm going to put you on the spot.
- 11:52Michelle Moore: What made you choose me?
- 11:56Daniel Moore: What made me choose you?
- 11:58Michelle Moore: Yeah.
- 11:59Daniel Moore: Well.
- 12:02Michelle Moore: I mean.
- 12:03Daniel Moore: I feel like when I first met you, I I don't want to say it was love at first sight, but it almost kind of was.
- 12:12Daniel Moore: I mean, I really just ever since I've met you, I've just had a drawing to you.
- 12:17Daniel Moore: And as time went along and I got to know you more, and more and more, I think I realized more that I wanted to spend my life with you, and so I just I feel like God put us together.
- 12:33Daniel Moore: Yeah, I think we both kind of messed that up.
- 12:36Michelle Moore: Yeah.
- 12:36Daniel Moore: At the beginning, because we didn't really follow through with that and, you know, got married to other people and went different directions, Because, honestly, I mean even before we got married the first time we were really good friends.
- 12:48Daniel Moore: I mean, we knew each other pretty well by then, and so I really feel like I think God had us pegged for each other all along.
- 12:57Michelle Moore: Yeah.
- 12:58Daniel Moore: But it just kind of had a delayed happening.
- 13:02Daniel Moore: It just didn't happen when it should have.
- 13:04Daniel Moore: But so you know, that's how I feel about it.
- 13:08Michelle Moore: Yeah, I would think for myself your laughter.
- 13:13Michelle Moore: It's those jokes that you make and I just look at you and give you that weird look.
- 13:20Daniel Moore: I am quite the comedian.
- 13:22Michelle Moore: You are and that's really what drew me.
- 13:25Michelle Moore: I mean I'm just like I love him.
- 13:27Michelle Moore: I'm like I laughter.
- 13:28Michelle Moore: But I would have to say, through everything we went through and going back, I would have to say it's your heart now, because you're a man after God's heart and you literally I see things that you sacrifice in order to do what God has for you.
- 13:48Michelle Moore: And it's to me it's.
- 13:51Michelle Moore: I just love that.
- 13:52Michelle Moore: I love the man that you've become.
- 13:54Michelle Moore: I love the fact how much you love me, how much you love our family, how much you love people.
- 14:01Michelle Moore: It's just changed over time and I don't know for other couples maybe you've been married short time, maybe you've been married like 20 years, 20 to 30 years, and maybe it's been a long time.
- 14:12Michelle Moore: But I'm curious does your love, like how you see them and what's attracted you to them at the beginning, is still the same as it is later down on the road?
- 14:22Michelle Moore: Because I feel like ours has kind of changed.
- 14:25Michelle Moore: I mean, your laughter still gets me to this day.
- 14:27Michelle Moore: I love listening to you laugh Absolutely, and the smile on your face.
- 14:34Michelle Moore: Like you don't get wrinkles, like I do, because I like to smile.
- 14:37Michelle Moore: But when you laugh and smile and you're over there and your tears are coming down your eyes because something's a corny joke.
- 14:45Michelle Moore: Or you're just laughing at something someone said and it's just so much fun, the joy it brings out of you.
- 14:52Michelle Moore: Just laugh and laugh and laugh.
- 14:54Michelle Moore: I start laughing.
- 14:55Michelle Moore: But I wonder if everybody really does have that same, or does it change for couples?
- 15:02Daniel Moore: Yeah, and I think for us it's gotten better.
- 15:04Michelle Moore: Oh absolutely.
- 15:05Daniel Moore: I mean, we felt like we had strong feelings when we first got together and I do feel like we did but life got in the way, yeah, and bad choices got in the way and that pretty much at some point there redirected the priorities and we kind of got our marriage out of whack a little bit.
- 15:24Daniel Moore: But once we got it back together and started back down the path that we were supposed to be on, I have I've I've grown to love you more than I could have ever imagined at this point, and I'm so thankful that God put us together.
- 15:40Daniel Moore: I'm so thankful that we finally decided to listen and take the path that he put us on, and you know I do.
- 15:47Daniel Moore: I pray that other couples have that same result the longer that they're together, that they continue to grow together, not only just in family-wise, but in love, yeah, and the closeness of their hearts, yeah.
- 16:01Michelle Moore: So I'm going to do a knock-knock joke.
- 16:04Daniel Moore: Oh boy.
- 16:05Michelle Moore: Yes, so knock-knock.
- 16:08Daniel Moore: Who's there?
- 16:09Michelle Moore: Luke.
- 16:10Daniel Moore: Luke who.
- 16:12Michelle Moore: Luke, through the keyhole and you'll find my love waiting on you.
- 16:17Daniel Moore: Oh boy, that deserves a sound effect.
- 16:23Daniel Moore: So this is one of those jokes that if I would have told her, I would have got that awesome look that I love to get from her.
- 16:32Daniel Moore: I would have got that awesome look that I love to get from her.
- 16:35Michelle Moore: Okay, so you know how he talked about the poem thing at the very beginning.
- 16:39Michelle Moore: Well, I don't necessarily write poems, I'm kind of a little.
- 16:56Daniel Moore: I'm going to let you read yours first, because yours is probably more sentimental than mine, and so is it going to make me cry.
- 17:03Daniel Moore: It's a short one, surely, surely not Okay.
- 17:05Daniel Moore: So, like I said earlier, she doesn't think I can write poetry anymore.
- 17:07Daniel Moore: So I decided, well, I'll show her I can write a poem, and she doesn't know what it is.
- 17:14Daniel Moore: No, I have no idea, I've not let her hear it yet, no.
- 17:17Daniel Moore: So when I got home she was trying to read me hers.
- 17:20Daniel Moore: I'm like no, we're supposed to just keep these secret until we get up to the studio and start recording.
- 17:25Daniel Moore: But she was all excited to read me all of hers.
- 17:28Daniel Moore: So I think I've heard all of hers, unless she's got one sneaky there that she hasn't told me.
- 17:32Daniel Moore: But she has not heard mine.
- 17:34Daniel Moore: So this is my poem to.
- 17:37Daniel Moore: Michelle, I can hear it.
- 17:38Daniel Moore: Are you ready?
- 17:39Daniel Moore: Yes, okay, hold on to your seat, here we go.
- 17:43Michelle Moore: I'm holding on.
- 17:45Daniel Moore: My love, my heart, my sweetest grace.
- 17:48Daniel Moore: No one could ever take your place.
- 17:51Daniel Moore: Through every laugh, through every tear, you are my joy, my soul's premiere.
- 17:57Daniel Moore: With every touch, with every glance, you fill my world with love's sweet dance.
- 18:04Daniel Moore: So on this day, and all days too, know my heart belongs to you.
- 18:11Michelle Moore: Oh my gosh, I love it.
- 18:13Michelle Moore: That is so sweet.
- 18:16Michelle Moore: I tried.
- 18:17Michelle Moore: What book did you get that out of?
- 18:19Daniel Moore: I'm not going to tell you.
- 18:20Daniel Moore: Oh my gosh, I see.
- 18:25Michelle Moore: I mean girls, find you a husband that will do, whether they get it out of a book or whatever.
- 18:29Michelle Moore: But I know Dan wrote that first.
- 18:32Michelle Moore: I just know that he wrote that himself.
- 18:35Daniel Moore: And we'll never know any different.
- 18:37Michelle Moore: I know, I know.
- 18:39Michelle Moore: Well, don't laugh at me, people, because mine are not as sentimental as his.
- 18:49Michelle Moore: This is good as it's gonna get.
- 18:51Michelle Moore: Roses are red, violets are blue and I know what everybody's thinking I'm going to say, but my feet stink, and so do you.
- 18:59Michelle Moore: No, I was like that Roses are red, violets are blue.
- 19:04Michelle Moore: My dog is my favorite, but you're okay too.
- 19:09Daniel Moore: Oh, looky, there.
- 19:11Michelle Moore: Mr Wilford's, my baby.
- 19:12Daniel Moore: You have done my poem.
- 19:14Michelle Moore: No, I got another one.
- 19:15Michelle Moore: Roses are red, violets are blue, coffee is hot, and so are you.
- 19:23Daniel Moore: Oh boy, let's get some sweet creamer to throw in that.
- 19:28Michelle Moore: I didn't hear a baboon thing.
- 19:30Michelle Moore: Oh yeah, here we go.
- 19:30Michelle Moore: Yeah, okay, so my last and final one.
- 19:36Michelle Moore: Think about the times that Daniel had said he'll give me a joke and I just kind of give him that weird look.
- 19:42Michelle Moore: So this is going to be one of those, babe.
- 19:46Michelle Moore: Yes, a little bit strange, but my love for you, it will never change.
- 19:59Michelle Moore: Wow.
- 20:04Daniel Moore: There we go.
- 20:05Michelle Moore: And I tell him to drop the bomb, and he didn't do it.
- 20:08Daniel Moore: There we go.
- 20:08Daniel Moore: How's that?
- 20:12Michelle Moore: That is it.
- 20:15Daniel Moore: That was awesome.
- 20:16Daniel Moore: You wrote that that is it?
- 20:17Michelle Moore: That was awesome.
- 20:17Michelle Moore: You wrote that.
- 20:18Michelle Moore: No, I took all those off the internet.
- 20:20Michelle Moore: I just like those the best because it just fit us.
- 20:26Daniel Moore: That's very true.
- 20:27Daniel Moore: I like those.
- 20:29Michelle Moore: Yeah.
- 20:29Michelle Moore: So here's my Valentine's to you.
- 20:32Michelle Moore: My heart I will forever give, and I'm so thankful that I get to share each and every day with you.
- 20:41Daniel Moore: Well, the same here.
- 20:42Daniel Moore: I'm thankful that God gave me an awesome wife that will stand behind me and support me in things that I do, behind me and support me in things that I do, and even if you don't understand me or get my jokes, Sorry guys.
- 21:01Daniel Moore: I try, that's okay.
- 21:01Daniel Moore: I still love you anyway.
- 21:03Daniel Moore: Good, I'm making a poem here, while I'm talking to you.
- 21:05Michelle Moore: Yeah, I know, I noticed that.
- 21:08Daniel Moore: That was kind of unintentional, but that worked out pretty good it really did you want to keep going.
- 21:13Daniel Moore: I'm good, okay.
- 21:15Michelle Moore: Well, guys, you know, I just want to take a moment to tell you guys, thank you for listening to us for this.
- 21:21Michelle Moore: I don't even know how long this podcast is.
- 21:24Michelle Moore: It was only supposed to be like a five minute podcast, but it's probably longer than that 20 minutes past that Okay.
- 21:28Michelle Moore: So we hope you have a great Valentine's Day, whether you're out with your loved one or you're not.
- 21:36Michelle Moore: We just hope that you take time this day and just soak it in and just whether, like I said, you're by yourself or with your spouse, but take time to love yourself and, you know, if you are married, take time to love that spouse.
- 21:54Daniel Moore: And don't forget our ultimate valentine is yep make sure you tell god how much you love him today yes, that's the whole reason we get to have another valentine's day he should be your first love.
- 22:05Michelle Moore: That's right, so well.
- 22:08Michelle Moore: That's it for today.
- 22:10Michelle Moore: We will look forward to the next podcast, I believe.
- 22:16Daniel Moore: Next Thursday.
- 22:17Michelle Moore: Next Thursday and we will be back on.
- 22:21Michelle Moore: We're getting close to wrapping up the Four Laws of Love and we look forward to having our discussion and we hope you all have a great weekend.

- 22:37Daniel Moore: Have a happy Valentine's Day.
