- 1:44[SPEAKER_04]: That's the dogsbodcast.com.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_04]: So let's just get right into it.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, this message is from Mike.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_01]: So real quick back story, the other day last week, we had the Jersey dogs do their second episode.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_01]: and they did browns jerseys.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_01]: They kind of talked about your favorite jersey, your lucky jersey, all that kind of stuff.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_01]: So Mike says, the guys at jersey dogs were talking about jerseys.
- 2:06[SPEAKER_01]: So how about this for some jersey luck?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_01]: After many years, I bought my first jersey, Nick Chub.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_01]: Two games later, there goes his leg.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_01]: So next season, I buy myself a J.O.K.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_01]: number six jersey.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_01]: Safe choice, awesome player, a few weeks later, runs into Derek Henry after that.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_01]: being a big fan of Harold Fannon since listening to your show.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_01]: I knew he would be a dog.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_01]: So I got the 88 jersey.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_01]: First game of the season, he must have heard my jersey curse and swapped to number 44.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now I don't want to tell you who's jersey guy bought for this year, but let's just say he's now in Los Angeles.
- 2:40[SPEAKER_01]: So yes, he will just be wearing a Brown's t-shirt.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_01]: My friends joke that I'm a curse, but it might be true.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_01]: So I thought that was kind of funny.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_01]: like he can't catch a break.
- 2:52[SPEAKER_01]: I would know.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_03]: This is bad luck, man.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: That is bad luck.
- 2:55[SPEAKER_03]: I think I've only had bad luck like that with two Brownsers.
- 2:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's both number 80.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_03]: I got Andre Ryzen in my 10 or late teens.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_03]: And then I got Kellon Winslow Junior.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh,
- 3:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: Mike, stop buying jerseys because just for the benefit of the team, it would do a do great honestly though.
- 3:27[SPEAKER_00]: I feel it's pain.
- 3:28[SPEAKER_00]: I have a huge collection of brown jerseys that are probably not worth anything other than sentimental value.
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: And but I still wear them.
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: I recently went to wear Josh Krebs one that I love.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: I still have a Tim couch throwback that I just got from like two years ago to goodwill.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: Shoutout Goodwill, by the way.
- 3:50[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to go and just get Legends collection of Browns Dressies.
- 3:55[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, hit Goodwill up.
- 3:56[SPEAKER_00]: You'll spend about $18 and walk out with Nick Chub, Jarvis Landry and Baker Mayfield.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: I guess you'd be sent to go to any Browns games you want.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: But, um, you know, it is what it is.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: It's a tough thing.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: I actually haven't gotten one this year.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: I think I'm just going to just keep wearing Nick Chub just at a sentimental love for that guy.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_03]: actually nobody can't go wrong with is a dog-pound dad t-shirt.
- 4:19[SPEAKER_03]: That's what you gotta go about.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_03]: You got two of them on this show.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_03]: Unless you're not a dad.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a dad and then it's just kind of weird, but it is a true, true dad.
- 4:30[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, it's, it's tough to buy professional teams jersey sometimes because I mean the very first Browns jersey ever bought was Johnny Man's L. Look how that turned out.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_04]: Fire.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_04]: Um, I do that or or like Justin said you buy a legends like I have a Jim Brown jersey stuff like that like guys after they've retired and then it's like okay, you're just buying like a legends jersey in that way.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_04]: Um, but
- 4:54[SPEAKER_04]: I had the same issue.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_04]: I bought a Darious Garland City Connectorsy this year for the calves and they traded them like two and a half weeks later.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_04]: I might still be paying it.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_03]: We were just talking on the team.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_03]: We were just talking quiet Leonard.
- 5:13[SPEAKER_03]: I got his jersey for one season.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_03]: And now we've traded for him.
- 5:17[SPEAKER_03]: And now the trade is void.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: I really don't know if we're getting him.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sorry.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: President Trump must have put in a call out of the NBA.
- 5:24[SPEAKER_00]: Something.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: We've got to see the sheriff.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_01]: I couldn't pay the tariff.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_01]: I bought a Shidorah Sanders 12 jersey last year.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 5:33[SPEAKER_01]: So.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_01]: Now here's a Denzel boss and jersey in the front.
- 5:37[SPEAKER_00]: This is just a quick hitters.
- 5:39[SPEAKER_00]: I will shoot off five that I guarantee you I can't wear it that I have in the closet right now, Trent Richardson.
- 5:45[SPEAKER_00]: We'll never be on rent by that.
- 5:46[SPEAKER_00]: We'll never be out.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: Now there's some other ones like Joe Hayden.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't have one proud of this bill.
- 5:52[SPEAKER_00]: But there's a lot of a man's L's one.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: I remember, you know, like, unfortunately, you can still go and see, like Dante saw where Jersey Brown Sturzy is at their source.
- 6:02[SPEAKER_00]: Like, that's not a bad joke on it or where, but they're out there.
- 6:07[SPEAKER_01]: yeah i was going to say the uh... number twelve chador if we want to segue into that because he had a photo shoot here recently i think that's the topic we were going to dive into and wrecked right at some comments but the photo shoot he had like how many browns number twelve jerseys on the ground and then what was it like a grave with the white number twelve land on top of it i thought it was kind of
- 6:30[SPEAKER_01]: kind of a cool look at least for the photo.
- 6:34[SPEAKER_04]: So this is one of those things where I saw Rex Ryan's post, Rex is in a moron.
- 6:42[SPEAKER_04]: There's a reason why he's not a coach anywhere anymore.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_04]: And never will be with his fake teeth.
- 6:48[SPEAKER_04]: And he's in this place with the watch.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and then I've even seen like some of the local media talking about it.
- 6:57[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was like Limeo was kind of being facetious when you was talking about it Like Kenny Kenny handle business ventures and have a photo shoot while still preparing to be a starting quarterback in NFL
- 7:09[SPEAKER_04]: how much?
- 7:10[SPEAKER_04]: There's a lot of time in a day, you know what I mean?
- 7:14[SPEAKER_04]: Like do people think that he has to wake up at 6 a.m. and just do nothing but football preparation from 6 a.m. until he goes to bed at whatever time he goes like there's a lot of time in the day, especially if you don't have to go to, you know, a job for 10 hours at the factory.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_04]: You got a lot of time.
- 7:33[SPEAKER_04]: think I mean think about you wake up say he's got to be at the facility by five a.m. for you know treatment or whatever get out on the practice field for two hours maybe does some extra throwing and stuff afterwards maybe gets in a lift
- 7:49[SPEAKER_04]: You can put 8 hours in it the facility doing nothing but football stuff and he's out there by a 2 o'clock in the afternoon turns out there's still a whole bunch of the rest of your day that you can go do stuff and then you can sit there and watch film on your tablet at night while you're laying in bed if you want to get in some extra film prep like guys there's a lot of time in a day.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_04]: It's not that big of a deal to have a photo shoot in the afternoon in the off season.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_04]: I think it was an interview with Aaron Rodgers.
- 8:16[SPEAKER_04]: Obviously, Aaron Rodgers is a Hall of Famer, so he doesn't maybe not have to do as much, but they were asking him about the prep.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_04]: And he was like, one of the biggest misconceptions about this is that we do it for 20 hours a day.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_04]: He was like, get up, you go to the facility, you work out a little bit, you do your practice,
- 8:36[SPEAKER_04]: You know, what do your meetings and you go home?
- 8:38[SPEAKER_04]: Like, we're really only working like four or five hours a day.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_04]: And like, so no, these guys don't have to wake up at 6 a.m. and start doing football prep and do nothing but football prep until they go to bed at night, just because he's in a quarterback competition.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_04]: As long as he's doing the work he needs to do and doing any extra work he needs to do to make sure he's putting his best foot forward in the competition, there's plenty of free time throughout the day to do other stuff.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well, he made the he made that comment or that that post on X. I don't know if it was the same day or like the day right before It was when Shidorah was down in Miami with Deshawn Watson and all the receivers and everybody doing their work out down there in Florida and they're training and Then he gets on a private jet because of the what the hurricane or the storm down there has all the flights delayed.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_01]: He's gonna miss his youth camp
- 9:29[SPEAKER_01]: that took place on Sunday.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_01]: So he went and found a private jet that would fly him out up to Cleveland.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_01]: So he could make it on time for that youth camp.
- 9:38[SPEAKER_01]: And then I think with Shannon Sharpe said like that private jet had to be at least $45,000.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_01]: Like, and like, that's, that's kind of crazy.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_01]: It's just to make sure that he was there for that commitment.
- 9:50[SPEAKER_01]: And that was after Rex Ryan said that he's a me guy, and not a we guy.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, you know who a me guy is, is Rex Ryan.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, remember when he was the coach?
- 9:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's the original like me guy coach.
- 10:02[SPEAKER_03]: That guy, like he guaranteed super bulls every year.
- 10:05[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I don't even know if he has a winning record.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_03]: And when he had hard knocks, man, that dude freaking loved the cameras.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_03]: Especially like when he was like, what was this thing?
- 10:13[SPEAKER_03]: Get your snacks.
- 10:14[SPEAKER_03]: Do you remember that?
- 10:15[SPEAKER_03]: You guys are down in cheeseburgers and he was like making fun of all the players on the team.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, the guys had public feud after public feud doesn't matter if it's Tom Brady.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_03]: doesn't matter if it's the dolphins or the patriots or whoever it was.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_03]: That guy just is the epitome of a me guy and I thought it was like the irony of him calling a meat and it's like shouting out a me guy and he's the me guy overall.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he's known for like notorious takes.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he does.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_03]: But I guess he got us talking about him.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: So good on you, Rex.
- 10:48[SPEAKER_00]: And all I'll say on this is, should our Sanders isn't the first athlete to have side ventures.
- 10:54[SPEAKER_00]: They all do it.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: They all have side business ventures.
- 10:57[SPEAKER_00]: They all have things that they invest in and, you know, their foundations and, you know, charities and businesses.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: At the end of the day, for me personally, this is just ESPN trying to just get things stirred up.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: Just get any kind of attention to their network.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: Absolutely.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: That's all it is.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Should-or Sanders is the polarizing name.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_00]: It's easy to pop shots at him and get people stirred up because then it's a hordes nest.
- 11:20[SPEAKER_00]: You have everybody talking about it.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's fired up.
- 11:22[SPEAKER_00]: It rakes right and everybody's saying, you know.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: whether it you agree or disagree because there's two sides of it, you know, but I just think that this is just your normal.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: We're in July.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_00]: We're bored and we have nothing else to talk about on first take.
- 11:37[SPEAKER_03]: Look at the endless thing about Baker Mayfield and progressive commercials like we just never heard the end of it, right?
- 11:42[SPEAKER_03]: And it's just quarterbacks, whether it's anybody on the team you get the right to make money elsewhere.
- 11:51[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those things too, where it's all going to come down to how your performance on the field.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_04]: Because if he plays well, nobody will care that he's, you know, in commercials and photo shoots, and if he plays poorly, it'll be just like it was with Baker when he had the progressive program commercials and was playing poorly, people will hate it.
- 12:08[SPEAKER_04]: This dude's an ever commercial on TV and the game comes back and he throws an interception, but he has time to do all these, that's what it's going to be.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_04]: You know, despite all of us agree that there's time, especially in the off season.
- 12:21[SPEAKER_04]: Now, during the season, maybe when you're like, you know, you're in actual game mode prep and you're, you know, at the facility traveling and all that, maybe don't do a bunch of photoshoot, why you got game prep going on for that week.
- 12:32[SPEAKER_04]: But when you're in the off season, I mean, they're not, they're not, they're not having anything going on right now.
- 12:37[SPEAKER_04]: They're not in between.
- 12:38[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 12:39[SPEAKER_04]: So come on give me a break, but it's all gonna come down to how I perform in the field if you play as well Nobody'll care and if you play as poorly, they're gonna blame this photo shoot That's just because we live in a super internet world.
- 12:52[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, well speak enough stupid internet world Anthony is it Lima or Lima, I guess I hear pronounced both ways
- 12:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure it's live.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_01]: Well, either way.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 13:00[SPEAKER_01]: He's a moron.
- 13:01[SPEAKER_01]: So did you see what he said today on 92-3?
- 13:04[SPEAKER_01]: I don't listen to it.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_01]: I just see their snippets on X and everything.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_01]: But I think it's the guy who's part of Shidorah's media team said something, who's trying to justify the people like, hey, this was a serious commitment that Shidorah made.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_01]: You know, to get back to Cleveland for this youth camp 500 kids were coming to this camp.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_01]: They were at capacity.
- 13:25[SPEAKER_01]: They had to cut it off and all the stuff.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_01]: You want to make sure he was there and he's like, listen, should door can do photoshoot.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_01]: He can come to the youth camp.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_01]: He's still he's doing four workouts a day throughout this summer break.
- 13:37[SPEAKER_01]: And Lyme has said, well, now do you see they're breaking about him doing four workouts?
- 13:41[SPEAKER_01]: Five workouts a day.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_01]: He's like, is that normal?
- 13:44[SPEAKER_01]: Does Patrick Mahomes workout four times a day?
- 13:46[SPEAKER_01]: Is he working out too much?
- 13:48[SPEAKER_01]: I'm like, this guy, this, this pork, the stores can't do anything right.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, like now he's working out, we have a quarterback who's too devoted to being good at playing quarterback.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_04]: Laws on the ultimate devil's advocate.
- 14:01[SPEAKER_04]: There's just no way, and there's no way he actually believes like three force of what he says.
- 14:07[SPEAKER_04]: You know what I mean?
- 14:08[SPEAKER_04]: Because you can't one day be complaining about a guy doing a photo shoot, and then the same breath the very next day complained because he's doing multiple workouts in a day, right?
- 14:18[SPEAKER_04]: And I think I heard the clip where you're saying, like, are they overcompensating is he actually doing this, like, but like, bro, who cares?
- 14:27[SPEAKER_04]: He's working out.
- 14:28[SPEAKER_04]: He's trying to be better.
- 14:29[SPEAKER_04]: And then in his free time he does a photo shoot like, you know, well, I guarantee you Lyme doesn't spend every waking second on his radio show.
- 14:37[SPEAKER_04]: I bet you when he's off of work, he goes home and enjoys his free time and does whatever it is he wants to do.
- 14:42[SPEAKER_04]: And he sure of shit could be better at radio.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_01]: This is very true.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, man.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_03]: well you know what Rex Ryan he basically just applying a standard he never applied to himself so uh you know he's a boomer and that's a boomer take that the quarterback you know has to be uh the guy that puts himself first they do other stuff so
- 15:07[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I see Caleb in the chat said he can't do anything right in some people's eyes, but he's working his butt off.
- 15:11[SPEAKER_01]: I will say I'm that's what I like about this whole situation because we've had quarterbacks in the past that we've had high hopes for an optimism and They haven't exactly put football first or taking it all that seriously until they're maybe a little bit older they had to mature whatever the case might be should or standards is like
- 15:33[SPEAKER_01]: he is all in to being the best quarterback he can be.
- 15:37[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, like Blake said, it's all got to play out on the field and we won't know that until the season comes in, but at least he's putting in the time and effort to get there.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, great part of their community, everything he does, like it's been awesome.
- 15:55[SPEAKER_01]: All right, we might have a little technical difficulty, Blake.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea what's going on, man.
- 16:00[SPEAKER_01]: Does anybody else here?
- 16:01[SPEAKER_00]: The voicemail that Blake's here?
- 16:02[SPEAKER_00]: I do not hear that.
- 16:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's about to track.
- 16:07[SPEAKER_03]: Turn it all your windows off.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_01]: If any person is hearing some phantom voicemail playing, I don't hear it either Blake.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_01]: So I don't I don't know, man.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_01]: That's really weird.
- 16:20[SPEAKER_03]: I can I can tell you it happened to me last week, man.
- 16:23[SPEAKER_03]: All of a sudden, YouTube just started playing and I didn't know what the hell was going on.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, this group text, I'm just reading it.
- 16:31[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna cross the top of the ice.
- 16:32[SPEAKER_01]: Hi.
- 16:34[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, everybody blinks something's happening to his audio over there.
- 16:37[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I went away.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_01]: Can you guys hear me?
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_04]: Tell us about what just happened.
- 16:43[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, all of the sudden, you guys are talking in DF is just talking in the mean year about the number two overall pick.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, what is going in?
- 16:51[SPEAKER_04]: And then all of a sudden, it was social worker Josh talking about doing an intro.
- 16:54[SPEAKER_04]: We have had an intro two years.
- 16:58[SPEAKER_03]: I have no idea.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_03]: This is a race.
- 17:01[SPEAKER_03]: It's almost like social worker Josh, where are you?
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: We don't hurt for you in a while, bro.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_04]: So that was, you know, I guess this is the kind of stuff that happens when you do it live, but, you know, it was weird.
- 17:14[SPEAKER_04]: All right, well, I don't even know you guys are talking about because DF is just like really drowning me out.
- 17:18[SPEAKER_01]: So you guys, we were just talking about the conversation about, you know, should door work and hard and, you know, everybody just needs to chill out.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_01]: Thank God that training camp is just about to start.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yep, it's, I think that it'll take away a lot of the nonsense.
- 17:33[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the nonsense clickbait stuff.
- 17:36[SPEAKER_03]: Give me some real football some real football stories not that Gabriel Dylan's got a chance I don't want to hear this stuff like all this nonsense it's coming along like Jimmy off this practice squad is gonna you know Revolutionize whatever part of
- 17:52[SPEAKER_03]: you know, the team like, oh man.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_01]: So it's Dylan Gabriel.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
- 18:20[SPEAKER_01]: break down from the film side, you know, and having the coaching perspective, but come on, Dylan Gabriel's not in this.
- 18:30[SPEAKER_00]: No, I honestly, I'll be shocked if they roll with four quarterbacks past training camp.
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like somebody will have to move, you know, I don't see them moving off of a six round pick from this year.
- 18:43[SPEAKER_00]: I don't see them training should or and we can't do anything with Watson.
- 18:47[SPEAKER_00]: So that just by default, I feel like it just becomes the odd man out that already has a home in Atlanta.
- 18:56[SPEAKER_00]: with another guy.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think I think if I agree I saw chef came out too and said there's not going to be four quarterbacks on the roster.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_04]: I kind of feel like Taylor Greene's odd man out because he can't throw true.
- 19:11[SPEAKER_04]: He's a quarterback who can't throw a football.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_04]: He I just don't see a world in which he's made there's a lot of people to and comments and stuff on social media saying like I want to see tailing green this year Like no you don't he was a low average quarterback get a below average college Yeah, I I've I've watched some of the clips he can not throw football.
- 19:33[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he
- 19:35[SPEAKER_04]: There's almost no shot.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he made.
- 19:37[SPEAKER_04]: I know he was a he we just drafted him.
- 19:39[SPEAKER_04]: He was a six-round pick.
- 19:41[SPEAKER_04]: Teams cut six-round draft picks all the time.
- 19:44[SPEAKER_04]: And I know he's a freak athlete, but he can't throw.
- 19:48[SPEAKER_04]: Unless the unless he switches positions, I just don't see how you keep him on a you need the third quarterback.
- 19:55[SPEAKER_04]: You need a third quarterback who can actually be, like, if there's an injury to your number one, this guy's one step away from being in the game.
- 20:02[SPEAKER_04]: Taylor's Green cannot be one step away from being in the game.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_04]: He can't throw.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_04]: It's like when it looks like when the 49ers didn't have a quarterback in the end of the championship game.
- 20:13[SPEAKER_01]: Which is why we have the emergency quarterback rule now.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, brother that's why I'm so firm on We have shit or Sanders playing quarterback this year because after him I don't believe in any of them.
- 20:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe in Dishon I don't believe in Dilly Gabriel green.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like willing to at least let's buy guns Because we guys let the kid you know have a year in the NFL and with an NFL team Maybe we can work on some technique.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: You know and all that stuff, but yeah
- 20:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's kind of rough.
- 20:43[SPEAKER_03]: Based on the number of reps he got, based on the number of reps that Gabriel got, I just don't see either one of them, this, not going to happen.
- 20:52[SPEAKER_03]: They're already not getting a lot of reps in many camp, and they're basically bringing out a new offense.
- 20:58[SPEAKER_03]: It's just going to be Shidorah Watson, and that's it.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, for sure.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_01]: And I see someone here, John, in the chasse, has green wound up on the practice squad.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_01]: I mean,
- 21:10[SPEAKER_01]: You run the risk of another team claiming him if you wave him during roster cut-downs.
- 21:14[SPEAKER_01]: Now, if he makes it through waivers, nobody put to claim him on him.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_01]: Sure, then you can put him back on your practice squad, but if you cut him after the preseason, you do run that risk of another team going after after, I mean, this will we did in the draft?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_01]: We're like, hey, this guy's got insane athletic ability, ain't the best quarterback, but at least he's got all the intangibles, we'll just go ahead and take a flyer on him.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_01]: This episode is sponsored by Kaoshi.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Browns Vand, you know, we've all messed around with the sportsbooks before, right?
- 21:44[SPEAKER_01]: And let's be honest, you're always kind of playing against the house.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_01]: But with Kaoshi, it's different.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_01]: You're not betting against some sportsbook.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_01]: You're trading against other real-world people.
- 21:54[SPEAKER_01]: There's no house trying to beat you Kaoshi just runs the marketplace.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_01]: So if you think the public is wrong and the Browns can make the playoffs in Todd Munkins first year, or Casey Concepcion, Denzel Boston, one of those guys can win offensive rookie of the year, you can take the other side of the market and then if you're right, that's a big payout for you.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just sports either.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_01]: You can trade on other real-world stuff, interest rates, inflation, even wild weather outcomes.
- 22:18[SPEAKER_01]: It works like this, simple yes or no market, your risk is capped up front and your payout is locked in.
- 22:23[SPEAKER_01]: So, if you trust your takes and instincts, and I know you guys do, go check out Cowshin see what markets are live right now.
- 22:29[SPEAKER_01]: So use our link in the description or just head over to kalshi.com slash dogs, KAL, SHI.com slash dogs, DAWGS, and you'll get $10 when you sign up and trade $100 on Cowshin, because why shouldn't you guys get paid for being right?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_04]: Now, could they cut Dylan Gabriel and then bring in like another guy who's cut who can throw football on that slides in and be the third quarterback, but like I could see hitting green being a practice squad guy.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 23:07[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't know.
- 23:08[SPEAKER_04]: We'll see, but I just think it's
- 23:11[SPEAKER_04]: I don't think he's getting cut.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_04]: I won't be shocked if he's cut, but if I was betting, I would say, like, I think he's gonna make the team as the third quarterback.
- 23:20[SPEAKER_04]: But there, I would say they're way more willing to keep a third round pick than a six round pick.
- 23:27[SPEAKER_04]: That's fair.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_04]: So, it's fair.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_04]: It's fair.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_03]: Well, sailing.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: If sailing green does what, um, darning Thompson Robinson did in, uh, in the pre-season, maybe we'll keep him.
- 23:36[SPEAKER_03]: He's going to have some big runs.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_03]: People are going to get excited, right?
- 23:39[SPEAKER_03]: Because that's what happens every year.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_03]: There's always that darling in the, uh, pre-season.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_03]: And he could possibly be one of them because when you get third and fourth stringer is out there, guess who's going to be the best athlete on the field?
- 23:52[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 23:53[SPEAKER_03]: quarterback.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_03]: And he may look good, but when it gets to second string or possibly playing first string, then it's going to be a whole different story.
- 24:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's fair too, Kenny.
- 24:04[SPEAKER_00]: And once we get into preseason, like temper or expectations, because if you remember, T.T.
- 24:10[SPEAKER_00]: Har played in the Hall of Fame game in preseason, and basically played decent enough against guys at cell cars.
- 24:17[SPEAKER_00]: They ended up getting Josh
- 24:23[SPEAKER_00]: into the Baltimore game and just more dysfunction, you know, that is exactly what you hit the nail in the head.
- 24:31[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I do not want to happen.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_03]: I do not want to see that.
- 24:34[SPEAKER_03]: That's the fear of having that dude in the preseason man.
- 24:38[SPEAKER_01]: We actually rolled with DTRs on QB2 that year.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_01]: You're right, man.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:41[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 24:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's a sad thought away in preseason.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you were right before the, we was like, I can remember savanski being like dobs is the number two and then like two hours later.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's like,
- 24:52[SPEAKER_00]: I guess he's not on our team anymore.
- 24:53[SPEAKER_00]: Holy crap, you know, maybe I should go up there and talk to Andrew and figure out what's going on real quick.
- 24:57[SPEAKER_00]: I'll be back guys But crazy crazy crazy stuff
- 25:02[SPEAKER_01]: So it's a rule.
- 25:04[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, guys, I was going to say that's kind of the quarterback discussion.
- 25:07[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to talk about training camp stuff.
- 25:09[SPEAKER_01]: I did have one person in the chat.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 25:10[SPEAKER_01]: I missed the name.
- 25:12[SPEAKER_01]: Ask if we have like each of us have a prediction on who will be the week one starter yet.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_01]: I guess I wanted to go through and do that real quick before we go to other positions.
- 25:22[SPEAKER_00]: For quarterback?
- 25:23[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_00]: No brainer, Shidorah Sanders for me.
- 25:26[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm going I'm going should or Sanders you got to get something out of the young guy wait this this the as ship is sailed with the other guys other than tailing.
- 25:38[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I will also say I actually do not I don't just want should or to start we want I actually think he will I really do right think that he's going to win this competition in camp.
- 25:48[SPEAKER_04]: I agree I think should or start most a big part of this is the fact that.
- 25:53[SPEAKER_04]: Zack Jackson has said that just Sean just looks like the same to Sean.
- 25:55[SPEAKER_04]: We've been seeing since he's been here So I think if shit doorken just throw the ball without dirtying it 10 feet in front of wide receivers on a consistent basis He's gonna win the competition.
- 26:05[SPEAKER_04]: So I do a sensation door
- 26:08[SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad you brought that up.
- 26:09[SPEAKER_03]: You know what, the one thing is is like, we've had heard nothing about how he's doing or how he's reading a defense.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe it's harder because we're installing a new offense, but the biggest thing that you hear when you're listening about Sean Watson is he looks a little bit more agile.
- 26:24[SPEAKER_03]: He looks like he's throwing better.
- 26:26[SPEAKER_03]: Well, who freaking cares if he's not reading the right play?
- 26:29[SPEAKER_03]: And with all these, um,
- 26:31[SPEAKER_03]: stats that we see, the QB tracker, where are these balls going?
- 26:35[SPEAKER_03]: Like, we've seen one awesome pass to Boston, right?
- 26:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
- 26:40[SPEAKER_03]: Other than that, is he just checking down?
- 26:42[SPEAKER_03]: Like, what is he doing?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean?
- 26:44[SPEAKER_03]: So as far as like physically being better, good for him, but I'm glad that at least Zach Jackson had the balls that say something like, it's the same old shit.
- 26:54[SPEAKER_00]: I know a few weeks ago when they, you know, there was little reporting coming out on it, but they would say to Sean, but they're like a really nice ball, and then literally the next play would miss Jerry Judy by like seven yards.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:05[SPEAKER_00]: And that was the theme, which, seen that, I'm not shocked at all.
- 27:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, we saw that a lot in 2024.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_04]: Well, I see as we kind of transitioned to the other positions here.
- 27:20[SPEAKER_04]: I'm training camp and said,
- 27:23[SPEAKER_04]: I'm concerned about running back.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_04]: I think the Browns need a big back.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't, isn't Quintchard, Quintchard, Chuck, is kind of your between the tackles.
- 27:31[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, I do, yeah.
- 27:33[SPEAKER_04]: Bill, no man.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_04]: Shit house.
- 27:34[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 27:35[SPEAKER_03]: For him, Sanders is like 230 pounds.
- 27:37[SPEAKER_00]: Is he not?
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, he is.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: So this is 30.
- 27:39[SPEAKER_00]: We've got big backs.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_00]: I am not worried about running back, like with our team.
- 27:44[SPEAKER_00]: If, if Marshall's 2225.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 27:48[SPEAKER_00]: If we want to bring up a group that I'm concerned about, other than, you know, the obvious, and I honestly, I think the quarterback battle and all that talk about quarterback is kind of covered this whole thing up.
- 27:59[SPEAKER_00]: I'm terrified about offensive line.
- 28:02[SPEAKER_00]: I am so nervous.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_00]: We are asking a lot, a lot, on a regroup that looks better on paper, obviously, but there's no chemistry.
- 28:14[SPEAKER_00]: Now, these guys have played together.
- 28:17[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it's obvious there's more depth than there was last year, but it's very nerve-wracking me that we're just going to send it into the season and just hope for the best.
- 28:26[SPEAKER_00]: If anything, I could see that being the downfall of the season.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_00]: If other than, you know, like,
- 28:31[SPEAKER_00]: we're not very deep.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of what ifs there man if you take a look across the line and Josh and I have gone through this about like what's going to specifically happen at center and that could translate what happens at right guard right now I think he would pencil and Jenkins right and then center like you
- 28:51[SPEAKER_03]: Ultimately, you'd want to have the rookie there to win and move all gets in over, right?
- 28:57[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but if that doesn't happen, is right card going to be a turn style, and then are the other guys that are looking out, you got a rookie that might be our left tackle, could be to want Jones.
- 29:07[SPEAKER_03]: We're not sure because he can't last a season, right?
- 29:11[SPEAKER_03]: And then on the other end,
- 29:14[SPEAKER_03]: Who's our right tackle that we signed?
- 29:16[SPEAKER_03]: Titus Howard.
- 29:17[SPEAKER_03]: Titus Howard?
- 29:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think he sounds okay.
- 29:19[SPEAKER_03]: Like he sounds like a steady Eddie.
- 29:21[SPEAKER_03]: And then again, Zion Johnson, like he's a role of the dice, my understanding was Zion.
- 29:27[SPEAKER_03]: I think Josh went through this at a previous episode.
- 29:29[SPEAKER_03]: Basically, he's a superior run blocker with very little ability for past blocking.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: So what we're doing is we're saying, well, a whole George Warhop can hold this together.
- 29:40[SPEAKER_03]: I hope he can mess something together.
- 29:43[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what we're hoping for.
- 29:46[SPEAKER_00]: Just to touch on what you're talking about, man, if Parker doesn't go to a center, I could see, and you know, and then Jenkins, let's say Jenkins stays at center, I see Tevin, Jenkins, probably sliding in at guard.
- 30:03[SPEAKER_03]: So there is a kind of a wild card and you guys are going to hate this, but it's KT Levingston.
- 30:08[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because he is built to be a guard.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_03]: He was a tackle.
- 30:12[SPEAKER_03]: Clearly, we saw the results of him being a tackle last year was not good.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_03]: But if you look at his profile, Josh and I did do this one.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_03]: He works well in foam booth space, and that's where he does not work currently.
- 30:25[SPEAKER_03]: So if you move him over and give him some time,
- 30:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying he's gonna necessarily start.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_03]: It could be a great swing guard, you know, but maybe something clicks and it works out for us.
- 30:35[SPEAKER_03]: And then all of a sudden that seventh round pick is something that we traded for him.
- 30:39[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he was kind of rotating in and out with Tevin Jenkins with that first team, you know, in the mix through OTAs and many can't just kind of see him what they could do there.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_04]: Uh, for me, I'm just worried about the, the lack of, um, what's the word, like, jelly.
- 31:03[SPEAKER_04]: I'm cohesiveness cohesiveness.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_04]: That's a good word.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_04]: Um, is that a Canadian word?
- 31:09[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 31:09[UNKNOWN]: Yes.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, and that's that's my concern.
- 31:12[SPEAKER_04]: So I would like to at least early in camp to kind of like to nail down, you know what the five guys are gonna be and their spots because the best offensive lines in the league they they move is one You know and the more reps they do together the more games they play together
- 31:32[SPEAKER_04]: that's where we're going to see the best version of this offensive line.
- 31:35[SPEAKER_04]: So I don't want to be having like a right guard rotation week one.
- 31:41[SPEAKER_04]: You know, like we did with Jenkins and Wyatt tell her last year.
- 31:45[SPEAKER_04]: Like I want to see the position battles locked in and I want to see these guys and perform throughout training camp and the joint practices and some a little bit in the preseason games so that they've actually got some reps together as they're heading into a week one
- 32:01[SPEAKER_04]: Nothing is going to be, I'm expecting mistakes, okay, because we're so young, but man, I don't want to lose games early in the year due to just stupid mental mistakes because guys haven't got reps yet because we were trying to figure out position battles for way too long.
- 32:17[SPEAKER_04]: So it's like, let's come in, let's get it figured out quick and then let's let these guys who need to get reps together get the reps together.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_03]: you've got three possibly four entrenched is that right guard and then they're like like we said earlier whatever happens at center could dictate maybe another move but I think we've got some decent guys it's like you said it's like how they gel how does George Warhop get this to work you know
- 32:45[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I think it would obviously be really nice if a fifth round rookie Parker Brailsford was able to You know ascend and win that starting center spot right off the rip in his career.
- 32:56[SPEAKER_01]: That'd be really cool I lean more toward Altan Jenkins probably being the starting center at least for the beginning of the year because with like Justin was saying this whole new offensive group together
- 33:09[SPEAKER_01]: They have no experience, no, you know, rapport or anything.
- 33:12[SPEAKER_01]: You want a center so important for the entire offense, not just the old line.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_01]: You want a veteran and there's somebody who's done it before, done it at a high level, and knows what they're doing.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_01]: Again, if Brailsford proves that he can do that, that's awesome.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just not banking on it.
- 33:30[SPEAKER_04]: It's, that's an especially important position to get, right?
- 33:34[SPEAKER_04]: If Shidorah's gonna win this competition.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_04]: You know, any help that Shidorah can get with protections and, you know, identifying the mic and which way to slide.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_04]: Any kind of helping get an experienced center is gonna go a long way in that kind of stuff.
- 33:51[SPEAKER_04]: The offensive, the center is a guy who that calls that kind of stuff out a lot.
- 33:55[SPEAKER_04]: So, again, if you can get, if a rookie's ready, you get that's cool,
- 34:00[SPEAKER_04]: It's a little bit scary, rookie guy who's only played seven games, you know, touching the ball every single play.
- 34:06[SPEAKER_04]: Like I don't mind having a little bit of experience in there to kind of help with that, especially early in the year.
- 34:12[SPEAKER_01]: No, absolutely.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_01]: I saw Brad was saying he's very nervous about corner back and I will say, I mean, too.
- 34:21[SPEAKER_01]: Because he don't have any depth at corner.
- 34:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we just signed a guy today.
- 34:26[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 34:27[SPEAKER_01]: So we signed a Demari Mathis.
- 34:30[SPEAKER_01]: He was a fourth round pick.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: Twenty, twenty-two by the Broncos.
- 34:33[SPEAKER_01]: apparently, and I don't know anything about this guy other than what I've read today.
- 34:36[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just looking him up real quick, but he had a really good rookie season started 11 games for Broncos as a rookie, 65 tackles, a TFL, 7 pass break ups, good enough that going into his second season, they made him the corner back too across from Patserton.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_01]: But that didn't need to get picked on, yeah, he ended up getting benched that year, 2024, missed a lot of the season with an ankle injury that he got.
- 35:01[SPEAKER_01]: I think in the preseason and then when he did come back played a lot of special teams, 25, they they released him, Panthers claimed to him right before the season went to practice towards ACL.
- 35:11[SPEAKER_00]: And that's kind of just a quick history of this guy and we had to cut Dom Jones because he failed his physical right I did see so I read that tweet also and I got to the end of it And it was last played in 24 and I just went shit, you know like I without any background on it I just went either is not good or been hurt a lot, which I mean both uh
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: It's a little unsettling, you know?
- 35:38[SPEAKER_00]: Behind Warden Campbell, those are dead pieces.
- 35:41[SPEAKER_03]: Is it basically like a pick that you're just rolling the dice on, right?
- 35:45[SPEAKER_03]: You got a guy, what I have on his athletic profile, I've got a guy that physically plays press coverage well, he's aggressive, run supporter, so maybe they want to mold him into like a nickel, competitive mentality, better if you're in the NFL, solid long speed.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_03]: But he has a willingness to play special teams and he did split the
- 36:04[SPEAKER_01]: play a lot of special teams for the Broncos so maybe that's where he'll make his bread and butter because I mean who's he competing with Miles Hardin and who else yeah and you know for that I hope and that one or two of these UDFA guys that we signed can step up and play a prominent role and that that's where the depth is for the cornerback position that has been so nervous because like Michael co's junior
- 36:24[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, coach Jr. and, um, they haven't because Denzel Ward, you know, he doesn't have an extensive injury history, like I think a lot of people believe he doesn't miss a ton of time, but he does misgames every year, which is normal for that position anyhow, but he's gonna miss two to four games this year.
- 36:44[SPEAKER_01]: What if Tyson Campbell misses a gamer too, even while Denzel's out?
- 36:49[SPEAKER_01]: We are going to be so picked apart in the secondary.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_04]: It's gonna be like the offensive line last two years.
- 36:54[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the wide reminds me a little bit of the wide receiver room.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_04]: If you remember, I would say like we're, you know, we're a Jerry Judy injury away from Jamari Thrashing, the number one wide receiver for us.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_04]: And you know, that kind of happened, you know, so it's like, you know, we're, we're a couple bad breaks away.
- 37:14[SPEAKER_04]: A couple of guys getting banged up away from putting a UFL secondary out there.
- 37:19[SPEAKER_04]: And another reason I'm at least curious to watch the secondary this year is,
- 37:26[SPEAKER_04]: These guys like it denser awards entire career with the browns he said by us Garrett you know you don't have to cover as long when you got miles Garrett rushing the passer I'm curious to see how the secondary response When we don't have a guy I mean who's gonna force the quarterback year at the ball and under two seconds every time Like they're gonna have to cover longer than they've ever covered how do they respond to that so I think that's getting something interesting to watch in training camp and in the preseason games
- 37:56[SPEAKER_03]: I think our defensive end depth is okay.
- 37:59[SPEAKER_03]: I think like Alex Wright has some great pressure numbers.
- 38:02[SPEAKER_03]: He's a guy that gets injured all the time too, right?
- 38:05[SPEAKER_03]: And then you have Isaiah McGuire who is slowly working his way up and he's been okay.
- 38:10[SPEAKER_03]: Like if he can get
- 38:11[SPEAKER_03]: anywhere from seven to nine sacks this year does a total win.
- 38:15[SPEAKER_03]: And he seems to set the edge of just a little bit better.
- 38:18[SPEAKER_03]: My thing is the penetration up the middle.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if Molly Collins is going to be the same guy this year, you know, and is Mason Graham going to take another step.
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: What
- 38:27[SPEAKER_03]: Well, and what's the heck are we going to do with Michael Junior, you know, like at one point, Stephanski was saying he was like, John Randall did he did he not say that?
- 38:36[SPEAKER_03]: And maybe just a similar physique, I don't know, but we need to push up the middle.
- 38:41[SPEAKER_03]: And I know Blake, you always say that every year, what push are we going to get up the middle for miles to finish, right?
- 38:47[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we don't have him anymore.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_03]: So what's going to get Jared verse, Alex Wright and McGuire, that rotation finishing.

- 40:37[SPEAKER_04]: just to kind of jump to the other side of the ball then real quick to Josh, you kind of put out a video about this, but I think I think a room that's super interesting to watch this year is a wide receiver position.
- 40:47[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's actually, it's Jerry Judy, you know, and then rookies, and if Cedric Tillman can stay healthy for 15 minutes.
- 40:59[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, I mean, it's one of those things, how I think Jerry Judy starts the season as the number one.
- 41:06[SPEAKER_04]: just just by default the only guy with really any experience like he's the most veteran guy on the team.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_04]: But how long does he stay wide receiver one I think is is the question because probably if these guys of KC and Boston are as good as we think they can be, not very long.
- 41:28[SPEAKER_01]: I was going to say like Jerry Judy was the widresaver one by default last year with a much less talented widresaver core behind him though We have this year and how did Jerry Judy perform in that role to start the season last year?
- 41:42[SPEAKER_01]: Harold Fanon Jr. immediately became the number one option immediately
- 41:46[SPEAKER_04]: I will say to that regard, which I agree, but a lot of that is we couldn't block, so immediately your first, you couldn't have time to get to your first read, you're thrown to your checkdown, you know, your outlet real quick, so I, but I'm a, I still look at the amount of drops he had, and you know, I still look at like the attitude in that kind of thing, so, but I get, like,
- 42:11[SPEAKER_04]: Oh my gosh, dude, I forgot about that.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_03]: I was there.
- 42:14[SPEAKER_03]: I was there for that.
- 42:15[SPEAKER_03]: How was he doing?
- 42:16[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, paid for $400 Canadian to watch that.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: So what's that in American?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, man, three, two, eighty, whatever it is.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_00]: I'm with Blake on this also, I think the wide receiver room is very, very interesting, especially if you get past those, you know, like first what five, six names, because I think they brought Wallace in.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_00]: I see Wallace being like a special team or man, like making, making music on or on, on special teams, like he is a workhorse for special teams.
- 42:50[SPEAKER_00]: After that, it gets, I mean, gauge-larved in.
- 42:53[SPEAKER_00]: He's gone, I would say.
- 42:55[SPEAKER_00]: There's interesting names, trash is there, I think he's gone.
- 42:57[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 42:58[SPEAKER_00]: But Malachi, Corly.
- 43:00[SPEAKER_00]: Pony has a role.
- 43:02[SPEAKER_00]: I think I can think he can, I think he can take over for it said, Tilbro.
- 43:07[SPEAKER_00]: I, it's crazy because I really like said Rick Tilman.
- 43:11[SPEAKER_00]: He just can't stay on the field and I just end up feeling like, I just defend the guy every year and I'm like, here it comes.
- 43:17[SPEAKER_00]: The big breakout in fantasy too, maybe not this year, but like, the past few and it's just, my guy can not stay on the field.
- 43:25[SPEAKER_04]: Well, said Rick, said Rick Tilman's 100% healthy.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_04]: and you put them on another team.
- 43:31[SPEAKER_04]: What wide receiver is he?
- 43:32[SPEAKER_04]: He just depends on the frame, bro.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_04]: It's for him.
- 43:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I would say he's probably a four, bro.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 43:38[SPEAKER_04]: I mean, that's what I mean.
- 43:40[SPEAKER_04]: That's what I mean.
- 43:41[SPEAKER_04]: So like, Brown's fans have liked them because he's flashed at times, but that's because we didn't have anybody else to flash.
- 43:48[SPEAKER_04]: You know, and at good point, I just think if you put like,
- 43:51[SPEAKER_04]: sometimes we we kind of fall in love with guys because we get to see them every day and we see their videos on X and we we see him at training campus stuff but like if we're realistic about the talent if say we were cut sidetracked tillman he's signing for like a minimum somewhere you know and he's probably fighting to it's it's like the DPJ thing we couldn't believe we we we let DPJ go here we loved him here in Cleveland and he's he was out of league in two years couldn't even do anything in Detroit so
- 44:21[SPEAKER_04]: It's one of those things where like, I just sometimes we overvalue our own players because we see them every day.
- 44:27[SPEAKER_04]: I'm curious to see how KC does with the drops.
- 44:30[SPEAKER_04]: I'm curious to see how Denzel Bossen does with separating at the national football league level is up dude.
- 44:37[SPEAKER_04]: I am in college, like, pump for that guy to see some of this stuff.
- 44:40[SPEAKER_04]: And I'm excited to see, I really hope it should doer because I feel like he's the kind of guy who can he'll, he'll, he'll put it up there for Denzel to make a play.
- 44:48[SPEAKER_04]: He'll unlock that.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 44:50[SPEAKER_04]: So, yeah, that's kind of stuff I'm excited to see.
- 44:54[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Denzel Boston, man.
- 44:55[SPEAKER_03]: He's, I think he has the highest ceiling.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: I was probably not on the Denzel Boston train when we draft, sorry, in my draft picks, I would say, when I was happy we drafted him where we drafted him.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: But you guys really talk me into KC and I super pumped about having him too.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_03]: But I mean,
- 45:15[SPEAKER_03]: Dental, I mean, he's big, he's physical.
- 45:18[SPEAKER_03]: He wins the contested caches and that's something like when you practice that, when you see that in many camp and it's happening over and over and over again, like that's going to translate into the game.
- 45:31[SPEAKER_03]: And when you see guys like Steve Smith senior get freaking excited about that and put the post out, I think Josh, you put that out earlier today.
- 45:39[SPEAKER_03]: I think that's going to develop quickly, man.
- 45:43[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
- 45:44[SPEAKER_01]: I agree.
- 45:45[SPEAKER_01]: Um, somebody just posted in here, uh, Bokeh, talking about tight end room.
- 45:49[SPEAKER_00]: It's very interesting.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_01]: That's another one because it's interesting.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_00]: After Harold fan in May, it's, Well, here's the day you got two rookies, you know, that they drafted that they put capital into.
- 46:00[SPEAKER_00]: you've got Blake Whitehurst still, which, you know, but then you have Jack Stoll, like, so there, I think it just all depends on, like, Cam one of the rookies carve into the, like, a white heart role, you know, because the joke who's gone, we do not have that blocking tight end right now.
- 46:18[SPEAKER_00]: So if we can get one of them guys to have a parallel fan in is blocked in, I mean, he's basically a slot, why receiver, you know, he's just a weapon, he's a weapon, but like I think we need to, you know, explore and see if we can find something on a blocking tight end in one of these guys, I mean, it's.
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: it's very interesting.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably the highest in most optimistic for Royer Joe Royer.
- 46:44[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the throne pick.
- 46:46[SPEAKER_01]: Just because of what he was able to do in college.
- 46:48[SPEAKER_01]: He's a very good receiving tight end.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_01]: I think that there's a potential there for him to contribute in that part of the game can his
- 46:55[SPEAKER_01]: you know blocking get up to where it needs to be that he can kind of be on the field a little more to actually make that impact we'll see but he's the guy I've got my eye on more than the others but I think white hearts probably got a good shot since he's he's been here he's got the experience stole is just he kind of just blocks I just I don't know I don't know if that's gonna be a role for the team or not blocks that runs out to the flats and hopefully he's open
- 47:25[SPEAKER_04]: And so, okay, so I have a question, then, what do you guys think the Browns, I've heard so much talk about how the run game is going to be so revamped?
- 47:35[SPEAKER_04]: What do you guys think?
- 47:36[SPEAKER_04]: Are the Browns a grounded pound team this year or are we throwing the ball 40 times?
- 47:41[SPEAKER_04]: What?
- 47:42[SPEAKER_04]: Because I know what I think we're going to do, but what do you guys think the Browns are going to be offensively?
- 47:48[SPEAKER_00]: I think we're gonna run the crap out of the ball, but I worry about offensive line.
- 47:52[SPEAKER_00]: Cause it's not gonna, if it, the offensive line is an up to par and it's the same thing we're in, blown up in the line of skirmish.
- 47:59[SPEAKER_00]: Guess what, we have banned in the run.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_00]: We will bail out on it and then it'll become, we're down a lot and we're throwing a lot, you know?
- 48:08[SPEAKER_00]: I just hope that it's, we're able to get anything at the offensive line at the line of skirmish and then you can exploit that a little bit.
- 48:16[SPEAKER_00]: We haven't been able to.
- 48:19[SPEAKER_03]: I would say that the offense of Lyman they brought in.
- 48:26[SPEAKER_03]: they have better run grades than passblocking grades for the most part, and it's just going to be a matter of how, again, George Warhop, how he puts that together, but my understanding, and you guys can tell me if I'm wrong, but in football, generally what gets an offensive line going if they can just put their hand in the ground and not people over.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_03]: And I think these guys that they have can do it.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know about Braille's fur, I'm not sure, and I don't know about Fano yet because I haven't seen them playing the NFL, but I mean, if you're athletic and you can move and you have a center that can actually pull, that's going to help you in your run game.
- 49:05[SPEAKER_03]: And so I think you might, I don't say necessarily for curry, but they're going to disguise the run a little bit more with all the kind of motion that they're going to do, and even with the ravens like, I mean, they had, who was a third tight end that they had there?
- 49:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, cool or thanks.
- 49:23[SPEAKER_03]: So I mean, he was their blocker, but if you take a look at likely and Mark Andrews, I mean, they were not a blocker and kind of a blocker, and that's kind of what we have right now.
- 49:33[SPEAKER_03]: So if they figured out with that, I mean, I know having the king there is helps out too, but they're offensive line really.
- 49:42[SPEAKER_03]: other than the center they just lost like who who did they really have.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_03]: They had a bunch of guys that could knock guys around and I think they're building that line similar to the way the Ravens did.
- 49:54[SPEAKER_01]: I mean I think they're going to honestly you could see a progression.
- 49:58[SPEAKER_01]: I think the beginning of the season is going to be a little bit more run heavy when I say I'm not talking like 70 30 talking probably 55 45 like yeah
- 50:11[SPEAKER_01]: But I think until the quarterback, whoever it ends up being, start, because you always start out a little bit slow anyhow on offense.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_01]: So get the quarterback up to speed, use the run game to open up the past game.
- 50:22[SPEAKER_01]: I think that Todd Munkin has done enough offense in his career that he's smart enough to realize you can't just come out fire in through the past game and expect it to work like that, especially when potentially you got a guy who's only started seven games.
- 50:34[SPEAKER_01]: Like it makes sense to focus on the run, establish the run,
- 50:39[SPEAKER_01]: you know, before you try to straight up throw the ball over everybody.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_03]: You know what I want to see is the fake run called the screen.
- 50:47[SPEAKER_03]: I just want to see a screen game that we can actually that actually works for once, you know.
- 50:54[SPEAKER_03]: You know, once I say one thing about Baker is he could set up a good screen.
- 50:57[SPEAKER_03]: And since he's gone, has been complete crap.
- 51:02[SPEAKER_04]: I, Todd Munkin's always kind of been known as an air raid guy.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_04]: So, it's for me, it'll just be interesting.
- 51:09[SPEAKER_04]: He average 28, Lamar Jackson average 28 pass attempts for game with Todd Munkin.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_04]: And, I mean, he's kind of, before he went to the Ravens, we kind of didn't think that was gonna be a marriage that would work because he's an air raid guy and we didn't think Lamar was really gonna be an air raid quarterback.
- 51:26[SPEAKER_04]: But then they went and got Derek Henry so that kind of evens things out a bit.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_04]: So,
- 51:29[SPEAKER_04]: like I just think it'll be interesting to see how it goes because I think there's some people who think we're going back to like Kevin's first year, you know, where Nick Chub had 300 in some carries in the season.
- 51:40[SPEAKER_04]: I just don't know if I see us being like that run heavy.
- 51:45[SPEAKER_04]: Todd Munk has never been like of that run heavy.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_04]: kind of guy that I, he's, you know, he likes to throw the ball around.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_04]: He likes to hook it, chuck it football.
- 51:53[SPEAKER_04]: So I just curious like what you guys are expecting on the offense, philosophy wise.
- 51:58[SPEAKER_04]: I know that we're going to see somebody go in motion.
- 52:01[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, every now and then.
- 52:04[SPEAKER_04]: And I can't wait that we're going to censor.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_04]: And it's going to be motion with a sense of purpose.
- 52:09[SPEAKER_04]: It's not going to be like, you could tell the browns, like they were like, oh,
- 52:15[SPEAKER_04]: Everybody's saying we need to implement motion and so we should do it and then they would but they would only do it like four times because it's like They would come come out heavy in the game like we got to do this and they would do it and then they wouldn't do it for like two quarters Yeah, and then randomly they'd do some terrible motion and it's for no reason and you got to rush after something Yeah, you get in the legal shift like there was just no You're like you can just say tell that it was not a part of the playbook and they were just like
- 52:43[SPEAKER_04]: It's like somebody was like, hey, I think you should do more motion there.
- 52:45[SPEAKER_04]: I guess we can have a guy move sometimes.
- 52:48[SPEAKER_04]: And, you know, I'm still like, I'm very excited to see like some pre-snap and at the snap motion with a sense of purpose to actually be able to help the quarterbacks identify coverage and identify matchups and isolate defenders and space and you know, all the perks that come along with putting guys in motion.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_04]: I know like that's something I'm extremely excited for with the offense.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_01]: Count me in.
- 53:14[SPEAKER_01]: Count me in.
- 53:16[SPEAKER_01]: You've put your motion rants are every preseason.
- 53:19[SPEAKER_01]: Like this is about the time when they start and get this season.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_01]: It's like we don't do any motion.
- 53:26[SPEAKER_04]: Like I think it's well documented.
- 53:28[SPEAKER_04]: I was like a Kevin supporter on the show.
- 53:32[SPEAKER_04]: That being said I think there are still like put a guy in motion Like all all the best offensive coordinators use it in extremely high rate and it's because
- 53:44[SPEAKER_04]: it forces defenders to make decisions like quick second decisions it forces people in space it gets people isolated in matchups it allows a quarterback to see things pre-snap that you might not otherwise it's tougher to disguise your coverage you know if for sending people emotion all that stuff it's like
- 54:02[SPEAKER_04]: God, just, I can't wait.
- 54:05[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, brother, you don't need motion when you have wildcat.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_00]: This is for, here you go.
- 54:11[SPEAKER_00]: Who needs motion?
- 54:12[SPEAKER_00]: The QBR killer.
- 54:13[SPEAKER_00]: The wildcat.
- 54:15[SPEAKER_04]: Thanks.
- 54:16[SPEAKER_04]: So, but, alright, well, I think we should wrap this up.
- 54:20[SPEAKER_04]: Mostly, this is selfish of me because I keep getting alerts that my camera's going to die.
- 54:25[SPEAKER_04]: And it's at 5%.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_04]: So,
- 54:28[SPEAKER_04]: Unless we just want a black screen here, I think we should wrap this thing up.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_04]: We're approaching the hour mark anyways.
- 54:34[SPEAKER_04]: But we appreciate you guys being here hanging out with us through an offseason.
- 54:38[SPEAKER_04]: We're like, we're on the doorstep.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_04]: We're knocking out knocking on training camps door.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, hey, hey, hey, I just made that up on the spot.
- 54:48[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, I'm a dad.
- 54:49[SPEAKER_04]: I say dad jokes.
- 54:50[SPEAKER_04]: But anyways, we're really excited that we've made it through the offseason.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: We're here.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_04]: We're about to have some real football to talk about.
- 54:57[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, good.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry.
- 54:58[SPEAKER_01]: We got a super chat.
- 54:59[SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to do this before we wrapped it up.
- 55:01[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if you saw it.
- 55:02[SPEAKER_01]: It's for you, Blake.
- 55:03[SPEAKER_01]: You know, Jay Cuddles.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_01]: What do you think you want you to do?
- 55:07[SPEAKER_01]: I did see that.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_01]: I was just ignoring it.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome on Glacier Door and he wants you to glaze.
- 55:12[SPEAKER_01]: I say a bond for a second to go for it.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_01]: I am excited to see
- 55:18[SPEAKER_04]: He turns some heads already.
- 55:19[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's definitely going to have a spot on the steep.
- 55:22[SPEAKER_04]: I think he's got a chance to counter the extra muscle, man.
- 55:24[SPEAKER_04]: 10 pounds of extra muscle.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_04]: We kind of like, we don't talk about him a lot.
- 55:29[SPEAKER_04]: We talk about some of the guys who have a chance to make this team, but he was, I thought he flashed last year.
