- 1:04We're kind of answering comments there.
- 1:06Yeah, we've been doing a pretty good job of reacting to what
- 1:09people want. Yeah, give the people what they
- 1:11want. And we're always trying to be
- 1:12better, and now we're gonna be the best because Jake is not
- 1:14here. So exactly.
- 1:17Alright, Josh, start us off with your Bilo.
- 1:19Alright, my Bilo for this week I went to I took a page from the
- 1:23Kevin playbook of like naming like the highest end players
- 1:26possible so it's the most relevant.
- 1:27So my bill for this week is Brady Kuchuk.
- 1:29He's been averaging only .46 points per game and .15 power
- 1:33play points over the past month. His peripherals are still elite.
- 1:37He's got 1.8 * 3.3 shots and 2.9 hits, but even those are lower
- 1:40than his usual amount. He normally has an extra shot on
- 1:43goal and hit per game compared to what he's normally do what
- 1:45he's doing right now. His value doesn't come from his
- 1:47points, so it's terrible. Last month of points doesn't
- 1:49make him an easy by low and obviously everyone still knows
- 1:52his name value, but this is still the value that is going to
- 1:56be his lowest for the rest of the season.
- 1:58The sense has an entire team have been slumping but are
- 2:00starting to turn things around and Norris finally got moved
- 2:04back to the first line with Brady and Batherson.
- 2:05So this bylaw window should be closing very shortly because
- 2:08that line is popping off. So some of my one for one
- 2:11targets and Kevin, feel free to let me know what you think of
- 2:14these. We've got Kyle Connor, who's
- 2:16just been insanely Philip Forsberg, Zach Werenski and
- 2:20Kirill Marchenko. Yep, I mean it completely agree
- 2:24with everything you said. I think it's the only tough
- 2:27thing would Brady is that like you said, people aren't really
- 2:29rostering him for his points. It's like his category coverage
- 2:32which is still insane even though it's lower than usual.
- 2:35Like he's not a double double. He's like a.
- 2:37Triple. Triple.
- 2:39Literally like a triple, triple right Which?
- 2:40Is and normally he's like a quadruple, quadruple, yeah.
- 2:43It just breaks fantasy and you're playing bangers leagues.
- 2:47But this year specifically, he was getting more points than
- 2:50usual, which is really nice, but he's kind of come down, come
- 2:52back down, down, come back down to earth.
- 2:57So like you said, it's a great opportunity to kind of buy on
- 2:59that little dip in point production.
- 3:02The targets you laid out I like a lot.
- 3:06I think the only thing that in my mind is that hinders you from
- 3:12being able to pull this off is that if somebody has Chuck, I
- 3:15don't think they want to take that big of a dip in the.
- 3:18Back cats yeah. What about combining one of
- 3:21these like points guys with like some guy who's like just things
- 3:26and making it like a like a 2 for one?
- 3:27Time, I mean, ideally that's a great right, because we always
- 3:29want to consolidate into a better production, Yeah.
- 3:32But I think, I think for Connor Forsberg and Warenski, I think
- 3:34that's great, is a great target one for one, I'd rather have
- 3:38Brady over all those guys. Marchenko, I agree as well.
- 3:42He's just like a lower tier than the guys you listed before.
- 3:44Yeah, I put some other names too, like I'd rather have if you
- 3:48can in a package, get put JT, get Brady.
- 3:52That'll be lit. Yeah, because I'm Richard, those
- 3:56type of guys. But yeah, either way, I like
- 3:58everything you said. Completely agree.
- 3:59Yeah, I guess like. Playoff schedule too.
- 4:01So yeah, I guess the thing with like Ketchup specifically and
- 4:03what we were saying about him being rostered for his
- 4:06peripherals and not necessarily his points is if you're going to
- 4:09trade a more point for focused guy, you have to make it seem
- 4:12like the points gap is big enough to bridge that gap of
- 4:16back cats. So if you look at like past
- 4:18month, Kyle Connors at like 1.7 points per game, whereas Brady's
- 4:21at like .4, you know, so that massive difference, obviously we
- 4:24all know that's not going to stick.
- 4:26Connor's gonna go down bit and ladies gonna go up a bit.
- 4:28Yeah, but but if you can convince the owner of Kashuk
- 4:32that there that points difference is there, then that's
- 4:35how you get them to accept the decrease in back cats.
- 4:38Yeah, absolutely. It was a great pick.
- 4:41All right, my by low for Week 15 of the fantasy season is Elias
- 4:47Peterson of the Vancouver Canucks.
- 4:49Which one? Wow.
- 4:52You just ruined my mojo. I mean, listen, I think the
- 4:56Canucks right now have been going through going through it
- 4:59with the drama between Miller and and Pete has really been
- 5:02making headlines and causing a lot of controversy on and off
- 5:05the ice. Like we're seeing we've seen
- 5:07Quinn Hughes make comments, we've seen a lot of the media
- 5:08make comments. People are like addressing it.
- 5:11People are saying it's fake. So a lot of stuff is happening
- 5:13right now and it's kind of hindering both of their
- 5:15productions. Like we just spoke about how JT
- 5:18is ice time and power play time is specifically like very low or
- 5:22nonexistent. P has been a shadow of himself.
- 5:25Like he's usually a one type of points per game player.
- 5:28He's at like 0.4 so. But I do think that better days
- 5:32are ahead for him. He was just hurt as well.
- 5:35And before he got hurt he was also on a huge dry streak and
- 5:39his peripherals have been lower. Like he's not shooting as much
- 5:41and he's not hitting as much either.
- 5:43So I think now is the perfect time to buy because I think if
- 5:46JT gets traded, I think his value goes way up.
- 5:49And even if he doesn't get traded, I think he's going to be
- 5:51better than what he's been doing over the last 30 days at 0.38
- 5:54points per game, 1.75 shots per game.
- 5:57Like he's over pointing a player and the power play should click
- 5:59more with him on it now that he's back.
- 6:01And yeah, if JT gets traded, I think everything like harmonizes
- 6:06more in the situation there. And I have a few names.
- 6:09I'd trade one for one. If you have yes per Brap, I'd
- 6:12trade them in a heartbeat for Pete.
- 6:13If you have Nazem Kadri, who's been really hot lately, I think
- 6:16that's a really good sell high and buy low for Elias
- 6:19Pettersson. And also I put Carter Verhaeghe
- 6:22as well to try to get Elias Pettersson other team.
- 6:25Yeah, I, I fully agree. I think the whole JT and
- 6:29Patterson thing is really, like you said, affecting the entire
- 6:32team. And this is something that like,
- 6:34you have a clear cause and effect and you know that the
- 6:37situation is going to be remedied between now and like
- 6:39trade deadline. Thing is, it's not like
- 6:41Vancouver could afford to just take a year off of being
- 6:43competitive. They have to do what it takes to
- 6:45get better. And since this is clearly the
- 6:47cause of all their issues, they're gonna deal JT at the
- 6:50deadline or some very slim chance that Patterson gets
- 6:53dealt. But regardless, it's going to be
- 6:55great for it's gonna be great for Peterson, is gonna be great
- 6:57for JT. I think I think honestly, like
- 6:59the whole Vancouver top squad, other than Quinn, who just does
- 7:03well no matter what. Yeah, but the rest of them are
- 7:05all all by lows. But specifically Peterson is a
- 7:07great example because the whole situation, the fact that it will
- 7:10get resolved, the question is how soon will it get resolved?
- 7:13You know, like you might have to be patient and wait closer to
- 7:15the trade deadline for it to happen.
- 7:17But I think this is a clear, a clear situation where and this
- 7:20is I think the second time that person's been a buy low for us.
- 7:22I think we mentioned it maybe like a month and a half ago, and
- 7:25then right after we mentioned it, he started popping off.
- 7:27So like, this is the type of guy that you have to get him when
- 7:29he's at his lowest value because once he starts going off, the
- 7:32owner's not going to want to get rid of him.
- 7:34I think all your targets are good targets.
- 7:35I'd definitely rather have Peterson than any of those guys.
- 7:38I'm not sure if you'd be able to pull it off one for one, but if
- 7:41you can, because of how bad Patterson has been, I think
- 7:43that's a huge one. And the one thing I want to say
- 7:46why I think he's like an enticing by law is that even
- 7:49from the start of the season, he has really been popping off.
- 7:52So it's kind of like if you drafted Peterson, you drafted
- 7:54him high. Like he's a.
- 7:54Top second round, probably round.
- 7:56Pick Yeah. You're not thrilled you're
- 7:58getting anywhere close to that production, right?
- 8:00So he's been kind of like underperforming the whole
- 8:02season. But we're kind of getting to the
- 8:04point where we see we can see a major cause and effect for our
- 8:07turnaround anything. Now is the time to cash in a
- 8:10little bit and try to get that done in person on your team.
- 8:13Yep, fully agree. Do you wanna take cheekies or
- 8:16should I? Go for.
- 8:17It all right, Jake's choice for a buy low is Jeremy Swagman.
- 8:22He hasn't had a great year overall, he's been pretty
- 8:24inconsistent and the Bruins as a whole have not been a great team
- 8:28and I don't expect them to be a top team like they have in years
- 8:31asked. But as we mentioned on previous
- 8:32episodes, players on teams that are fighting for a playoff spot
- 8:35are the best ones to own, and I believe this is especially true
- 8:37for goalies. Swimming is absolutely the guy
- 8:39there, and this is really his first opportunity as a starter
- 8:42in his career. So although the volume of games
- 8:44may be new territory for him, he's managed to adjust
- 8:46accordingly, putting up a .917 save percentage over the past
- 8:49month and he also leads the league in saves during that
- 8:51period with 288. The biggest issue for him moving
- 8:54forward will be wins, but concerning Boston is a win now
- 8:56team and they need to rely on him to dish out top
- 8:58performances. I think it's an excellent
- 9:00opportunity to buy a sure thing starter on a team that needs to
- 9:02compete every game rest of the season.
- 9:04So good one for one targets that Jiggy put are Dustin Wolf,
- 9:07Joseph Woll, Pieter Kochetkov, the last two specifically
- 9:11because when Stollers and Freddy come back they won't be sure
- 9:13things starters. So I guess first I'll react even
- 9:16though I said it because it was a joke.
- 9:18Let me let me know you react first and then I'll react to
- 9:20your reaction. My reaction is I like to pick.
- 9:23I think swimming definitely is a buy low.
- 9:26I think you need to temper expectations with what you're
- 9:28expecting, like Rise to be. Don't think it's gonna be top
- 9:32five fantasy goalie, right. No, but he's not playing there
- 9:35right now. I think he can be a top 15
- 9:38fantasy goalie yeah, which you drafted him way higher than
- 9:41that. But expectations change
- 9:42throughout the season. Boston is a lot worse than we
- 9:44all expected. I think specifically the targets
- 9:46that Jake put, I'd rather have swimming over all these guys.
- 9:49I think Wolf is probably the harder one to flip because he's
- 9:51kind of like up and down off waivers in your fantasy leagues
- 9:54most likely. But I think Wall and Kachka
- 9:57right now, if you can flip those guys for swimming, I'd really
- 10:00like that because like Jake mentioned, scholars and Freddie
- 10:03coming back, solar is probably closer timeline than Freddie.
- 10:05Freddie is really ambiguous. But either way, I think right
- 10:09now even when those guys hurt, I probably take Swamin.
- 10:12So when those guys come back, there gonna be a way bigger
- 10:14timeshare. Swimming is going to get the
- 10:16bulk of that starts in Corpus. Always had some run but.
- 10:20I'm not worried about corpus, yeah.
- 10:21Exactly. I'm not worried about Corpus.
- 10:22I think Women is obviously the guy that just paid him to
- 10:24Boston. Should be a better team.
- 10:26They're gonna figure it out a little bit.
- 10:28I expect a bounce back from swimming.
- 10:30I fully agree and I like what he said about those teams that are
- 10:33competing for a playoff spot. You know, you've got like one,
- 10:36teams are like coasting, you know, obviously it's great
- 10:38because that means getting a lot of wins to get there.
- 10:40But then when it comes down to like fantasy playoffs, you know,
- 10:42they might not care as much because the games don't have as
- 10:44much meaning. One, your team is playing for
- 10:47that last wild card spot right up until fantasy playoffs.
- 10:51The teams playing harder every game has more meaning.
- 10:53And so especially for goalies, like he said, I fully agree with
- 10:55that. And yeah, I think also like what
- 10:57you said with his targets, I think Wolf, that's never going
- 11:00to happen, to be honest. I think I mean, if you can't, I
- 11:03think if you could pull that off, that's great.
- 11:04Or you could do like a wolf plus something else in a package
- 11:07would be great. Wollen Chekov, I think could
- 11:09both get done. And I think that the fact that
- 11:12Stolarz and like you said, Freddie, maybe one day we'll
- 11:15come back, but stole ours coming back.
- 11:16And also just in general, like I think swimming is better than
- 11:19those two. So I like both of those as a one
- 11:21for one targets. Exactly.
- 11:23Good job Jake if you placed out because we hate your yourself
- 11:27yourself. Exactly.
- 11:30Alright, so moving on to sell highs, my cell high for this
- 11:34week is someone that I'm kind of obsessed with and that is Lean
- 11:37Hudson. And I don't think, yeah, I was
- 11:39gonna say I don't think anyone's not obsessed with Lane Hudson,
- 11:41especially Habs fans. But just to give an idea of how
- 11:44absurd his past month has been, he's averaging 1.15 points per
- 11:48game and .54 power play points per game over the past month,
- 11:52which is just absurd. That's absurd numbers for a
- 11:54forward, let alone for a defence, let alone for a rookie
- 11:57defence Yeah, let alone for a rookie defence on the Montreal
- 11:59Canadiens. OK, that's just insane yeah.
- 12:02It's just it's actually crazy how night and day the Habs are.
- 12:05Ever since moving him to power play one and just having him in
- 12:08the lineup, it's just crazy difference.
- 12:10The one knock to his super good play lately is the fact that he
- 12:13has pretty much 0 peripherals. He's only got 1.15 shots and
- 12:171.23 blocks and pretty much zero hits.
- 12:20So I think he's the real deal and a great fantasy option rest
- 12:23of the season. But he's a rookie and they're
- 12:26notorious for being streaky. He's also on an insane run right
- 12:28now and the hype around him is crazy due to him being on the
- 12:30haves and being a Calder favorite.
- 12:32As a defenseman he's also amazing and appoints league, but
- 12:34in a bangers league he's a lot less good because of the lack of
- 12:37peripherals. So using this hype around him
- 12:40and his crazy pointstreak recently, you should be able to
- 12:42secure a real top tier defenseman who's slumping but
- 12:45could get you a similar amount of points for us this season
- 12:46with a lot more peripherals. So kind of guys that I would
- 12:50target are Evan Bouchard's most Cider, Roman Yosi and Mackenzie
- 12:54Weeger. And I'd love to hear your
- 12:56thoughts on those targets and the general sell high.
- 12:59I mean, I completely agree with everything you're saying
- 13:00obviously, right. Like I think we if you just
- 13:02listen to our previous episode, if you haven't, go take a look.
- 13:05But we spoke about Nolan Hunter versus Dougie Hamilton rest of
- 13:08season. We kind of mentioned how Lynn
- 13:10Hudson right now is performing what people expected Luke use to
- 13:12do last season. But like you mentioned, he's
- 13:16fully appoints guy. He's not really going to be
- 13:18contributing in blogs or shots or hits.
- 13:20And if you're in a bangers league specifically, that's a
- 13:22pretty big knock on a person's fantasy value, right?
- 13:25Yeah, especially from the defensive position where you're
- 13:27expected to get more of your bank accounts from those
- 13:29positions. But I love your targets.
- 13:31I think all of them are really attainable right now.
- 13:35I think Bouchard and you are probably the hardest ones just
- 13:37because they do hold tremendous name value.
- 13:39Yeah, so. But in a package, I would not be
- 13:41shocked to have that done. And honestly, there's a world
- 13:44where if you're the OC owner and you flip them for Hudson plus,
- 13:49you're better off. Yeah, there's a world where that
- 13:51happens. McKenzie with your I think.
- 13:53And Cider, I really like them as targets as well because there's
- 13:56like a different. Archetype.
- 13:57Yeah, exactly. You're getting a more really
- 13:59solid Bangor Cats but less points production, but there's
- 14:02still people defend their own teams as well.
- 14:05I would add some extra names in there too, like if you can flip
- 14:08them for Headman. I like that a lot.
- 14:10Headman was on a load to be honest.
- 14:12As admin owner, I was pretty not happy because I just traded for
- 14:16him. But yeah, I think all of them
- 14:19are great targets. Yeah, alright, my turn for my
- 14:24cell high. And Jake would be really pissed
- 14:26off about this because he's on his team.
- 14:29We've spoken about this, but myself high for Week 15 of the
- 14:33fantasy season is Dylan Larkin, captain for the Detroit Red
- 14:37Wings. So Larkin is currently
- 14:39benefiting from a huge new coach bump, as well as a new and
- 14:42improved power play that has been honestly just insane over
- 14:46the last month and the last few weeks.
- 14:47Over the last two weeks, he's averaging one goal a game, one
- 14:52goal the game over the last two. Weeks.
- 14:53That's not point, that's a. Goal one goal game is average
- 14:561.5 points per game and one power play point a game.
- 14:59Over the last two weeks it's completely revised how slow his
- 15:02start to the month was and it's giving us a really great
- 15:04opportunity to really sell high on him and his name value right
- 15:07now because he's been one of the hottest centres in the league
- 15:10and he holds serious name value. He's shooting at about 33% over
- 15:14the last two weeks. That means every third shot is
- 15:16going in the back of the net. Just ridiculous.
- 15:18Definitely sustainable. Nobody's.
- 15:20Sustaining that level of conversion rate.
- 15:23So if the power play slows down, which we can expect because it's
- 15:25not gonna score every game, his production metrics are going
- 15:29back to blow point per game pace, which you would feel
- 15:34normal for Larkin. But some really nice targets I'd
- 15:38aim for right now. I think Brayden Point is the
- 15:40dream target. He's one of the top five centres
- 15:44in the league on one of the best power plays in the league.
- 15:47I think a flip like that would be crazy.
- 15:48If you can get Barkov or Sebastian Aho, that would also
- 15:51be nuts. Cross position.
- 15:53I put names like JT Miller, Oranski and Matichuk.
- 15:58What do you think? I really like everything you're
- 16:00saying. I mean, it's crazy what a
- 16:02competent coach could could do to a team, you know, but.
- 16:05He's not even a coach that's supposed to be.
- 16:07Good for the power player? No that's not his.
- 16:08But The thing is that land was so bad.
- 16:11OK I'm saying this. I'm saying this as a pet owner
- 16:14from last year and as someone who actively avoided the Red
- 16:17Wings this year because of the land.
- 16:19As a coach, it's just baffling how some coaches don't realize
- 16:24if you just put your 5 best players on the power play unit
- 16:26it usually works out. You know?
- 16:28It's crazy. Took a new coach for the power
- 16:30play unit to be Larkin, Kane, Debrincat, Raymond and Slider.
- 16:33That's just such an obvious 5. Like that's their top five guys
- 16:36and everyone else is at a full tier below that on that.
- 16:39Team happening behind the scenes, yeah, like not a
- 16:42performance issue, but like archetype of.
- 16:45Player position, that's it. I mean, I think everyone's
- 16:47convinced in their head they have to have this.
- 16:50I don't know if it was Rod who started this or what, but like
- 16:53this we need to have or like on a New Jersey, they're doing it
- 16:56to all this. Like we need a fourth line who's
- 16:57a big body to stand in front of the net.
- 16:59You know, like, sure, that works for a lot of teams.
- 17:01You know, like Stephen Mason is having a great season in New
- 17:03Jersey, but you know, sometimes just putting your 5 best players
- 17:06does it. So anyways, so there is a reason
- 17:08why they're popping off of it and it's the new coach and the
- 17:10new lines, but it is just way too much of an overcorrection
- 17:13and it's not going to last. No, it's just insane.
- 17:17Nico, he should have started the season where we said you can
- 17:19sell high for one of those 1st 200% like you do it and if you
- 17:23did it, you were thrilled because you probably have pulled
- 17:25it. Off completely and these new
- 17:26coach bumps, like they never last for this high of a level.
- 17:31Like they'll still be better than they were with the old
- 17:34coach rest of season, but they're not going to be this
- 17:36much better. Yeah, but you could probably
- 17:37sell people on the point You're. Look, there's a clear reason why
- 17:40he improved. You know, forget all that old
- 17:41stuff. This is the new Dylan Larkin,
- 17:42you know, so all your targets are amazing targets.
- 17:45I'll take all of them over Larkin.
- 17:47And feasible. I think they're very feasible.
- 17:49I mean, you look at a guy like look at Miller, we were just
- 17:51talking about as a. That's the classic like sell
- 17:53high buy. Low that would be, I think, the
- 17:55perfect one. I think you could do that one
- 17:56for one honestly, and you know, we're not fans of one for one
- 17:59trades, but like I think you could pull that off and I way
- 18:02rather Miller for us this season.
- 18:03So I think that's a great one. Warenski's tough, obviously
- 18:06cross position and also just Brewski's been insanely hot as
- 18:08well. So I don't think that gets
- 18:10pulled off. Kachaks been quiet again.
- 18:12I'd rather have Chuck point, like you said, is the dream
- 18:14target. He's also been a bit hot though
- 18:16so it could be it could be hard. That and I won't park off a NHO
- 18:19as well. I think are both really solid.
- 18:20Ones I wanted to put some cross position option because I've
- 18:22received a lot of questions where you know somebody has like
- 18:25an abundance of like an extra set of centre.
- 18:27And they need a. Defenseman you wanna swap with
- 18:29somebody else need the opposite thing so trying to find similar
- 18:31value cross position wise. OK, I like.
- 18:33That would you do Larkin for Yoshi's?
- 18:36Do you think it's a fair deal? I think it could get done.
- 18:39I'd rather have the OC side. I think it's I think you'll see
- 18:42another bi lo and market. And so I think that could
- 18:44actually get done yet and I would take you over Larkin.
- 18:47But yeah, no, I agree with the agree with everything you said.
- 18:50All right, Should I let you do the honors of doing Jake?
- 18:52He's terrible, so high. But I just want to say one last
- 18:54thing. It's always hard to trade a guy
- 18:56with his averaging like over a goal game, right?
- 18:59Because you're like you're right in the high right now heading
- 19:01your fantasy matchups. You're like, wow, this is crazy.
- 19:03Then training for and guide us playing below production.
- 19:06It's so scary. And The thing is also like with
- 19:09those Vilosell highs, like it's not like once you make the
- 19:12switch, the guy who traded away immediately is gonna start
- 19:15sucking. The guy traded for it.
- 19:16Like that happens like once in a blue moon, you know?
- 19:18But that's not like that's not how it actually works.
- 19:19You gotta wait, you know, a couple weeks before it sets in.
- 19:22You gotta be. From Martha Stewart McAvoy,
- 19:24right? Before.
- 19:24That's it exactly. Yeah, that's the idea between
- 19:27Vilosell high, all right, to give us Jake's cell high.
- 19:31All right, Jake's cell hard now. Everything my mother say is
- 19:34Jake's words, not mine. Please do not associate with me.
- 19:38But he says, firstly, FU seven, so clearly not saying that about
- 19:42myself, but he's very upset that I put Larkin as myself high as
- 19:46he is the Larkin owner. But secondly, Jakey Sahai is
- 19:50Jordan Stall. So this is what he says.
- 19:53This isn't the type of guy that you're going to be able to get a
- 19:55hall like Bouchard or Brayden Point or anybody else.
- 19:59But people may remember the years where Jordan Staal was a
- 20:01monster fantasy hockey. And it's possible that seeing
- 20:03his recent production playing alongside Switch, even though
- 20:05Rod will switch up the lines, but yet they may be optimistic
- 20:09about his production moving forward.
- 20:10Some may be willing to buy him at 1.29 points per game or the
- 20:14last month. This is of course going to
- 20:15regress substantially and anyone left holding the bag when his
- 20:18production drops to 0.30 point five points per game, we'll
- 20:22regret not trying to shop him at the highest value.
- 20:25I think he's Rossville rest of season in leagues that value
- 20:27faceoff wins, but also for leagues that don't.
- 20:31I think he can end up on waivers by the end of this month if it's
- 20:34points regress, which they will. You can't aim super high with
- 20:36this. I think it's more of a
- 20:37compliment in a 2 for two offer, but the type of player I would
- 20:40expect back for him are is like Michkov, Gravlin, Fantilli,
- 20:45Aldo. Fantin may be harder now that he
- 20:47has a better deployment. Nick Schmaltz.
- 20:50Dylan Cousins. So yeah, What do you think,
- 20:53Josh? OK, my first instinct is to say
- 20:57that a guy who's under 30% owned shouldn't be a sell high because
- 21:02in most leagues you could just pick him up and.
- 21:06Thank you for hearing. This all Josh?
- 21:08Yeah, like this is a clear no one's ever gonna accept a trade
- 21:12with just this guy because he had four good games and he's
- 21:15other than that pretty much a waiver guy who's got, you know,
- 21:18decent peripherals, but he'll get picked up and dropped in
- 21:20whatever the little hot streak and no ones gonna buy into it.
- 21:22You know. So I the one thing I will give
- 21:25Jackie is that he didn't shoot too high with the targets.
- 21:27You know, they're they're all reasonable targets.
- 21:29And he did mention it as more of in a 2 for two offer where
- 21:33Jordan installs kind of like a throw in, you know.
- 21:34So in that sense, I agree. I don't think worth mentioning
- 21:37as the main focus of the cell high.
- 21:39I do want to say though, that there are a lot of listeners
- 21:42that play in deep leagues where, you know, there's guys that are
- 21:44like 5% raw that are getting picked up on the basis of stream
- 21:47and whatever and Jordan Stalls definitely roster one of those
- 21:49type of leagues and can be like a good fantasy contributor for
- 21:52your team. But The thing is, I don't know
- 21:53if that's the rest of the season.
- 21:55He definitely is on a hot streak and.
- 21:58Leaks like that where you're. For sure.
- 22:00I think I'm. General waiver guys that are not
- 22:01really. Like, yeah, I'm just skeptical
- 22:03that anyone's gonna fall for that.
- 22:05I think people need more sample size from a guy like that before
- 22:08they're willing to to buy him. But you know what he said?
- 22:11Maybe people remember the good old days of Jordan Stall being a
- 22:14Bangers monster. Know your audience too, don't
- 22:15league mates who would put a lot of value on the.
- 22:18That's it Just so there's a lot of things that are great in an
- 22:21ideal world where we'd be able to sell every guy that we pick
- 22:25up off waivers who has a little hot streak, you know?
- 22:28And that's why I'm very skeptical of this pic because
- 22:31that's just how fast hockey works.
- 22:32You pick up a guy, he has a great two weeks and then you
- 22:34drop him. You know, to be able to sell
- 22:36someone, you have to be able to convince the other owner that
- 22:38they're gonna be good for the rest of the season, and I just
- 22:42don't think Stall has shown that yet.
- 22:44I'm not saying he won't, but he said he'd have to keep it up for
- 22:46another couple of weeks before being worthy of mentioning.
- 22:48I think in negotiations you have to be aware that you're not
- 22:51trying to dupe the other owner and you're taking like scrubs
- 22:54for stars, right? You're trying to actually have a
- 22:56negotiation where both parties are getting something out of it.
- 22:58It's just hard to kind of like feel like stall has the rest of
- 23:01season value when you're trading for him.
- 23:05So it's hard when you're depending on the targets who
- 23:08you're aiming for to get that. Like I'm a Dylan Cousins owner.
- 23:10I would not accept for Jordan Stall right because.
- 23:13I wouldn't trade anything for Stall.
- 23:15I'm serious. I'm he's a guy who just got
- 23:17picked up off waivers, had three good games, and now someone's
- 23:19gonna try and package them to me.
- 23:20That like immediately sends red flags in my head.
- 23:23The only thing here, let me let's have just a small
- 23:25discussion on this and then we'll wrap it up.
- 23:27But I know there's some leaks out there that are like
- 23:30extremely deep that, you know, it's like, would you rather have
- 23:32Jordan install or like Pavel do Rafael V rest of the season?
- 23:36I mean. If you're not in, if you're not
- 23:39enough, face off wins league. Not in a faceoff wins league,
- 23:41rather have our fave. See, that's the type of player
- 23:43that I think maybe you can make a make a swap for that right
- 23:45now. OK.
- 23:46You're saying in a league where both of those guys are owned
- 23:49like you could? Argue like that.
- 23:50I've gotten questions where people are like you're doing a
- 23:53little stakes trades where it's like Brady Shades and involved
- 23:55in the trade or OK, which is the guy that should be on.
- 23:57Waivers OK fair enough. In a really like super deep
- 24:00league where like guys who are like that low owned percentage
- 24:04are owned, then you can I would get rid of stall as well because
- 24:07I think this is a blip. Because he's, I mean, his
- 24:09production over the last month has been insane.
- 24:11And if you can flip him for a guy that's going to get more
- 24:13power play exposure and whatever, yeah, I think that's
- 24:16something to keep in mind. So just trying to give some
- 24:18insight into why Jackie may be. OK, cool.
- 24:21We'll say it's just a deep cut and I'll leave it at that.
- 24:24But yeah, I guess that's wrap it up for this.
