But let let's get to ⁓ Austria GP. ⁓ it is going to be hot. ⁓ all I've been hearing is just all across Europe. It's like we guys got a big heat wave coming, so you're gonna be experiencing some. Darksideday: Anyway. f1capper: Some very, very challenging temperatures. ⁓ I know Austria, we're talking about the elevation, right? They're gonna be a little bit higher. That's even going to amplify the heat a little bit more. Thin air, of course, is going to put a lot of demands on the power units, which surprise might see some DNFs. I don't know. Either way, that's gonna be something that's gonna be a big challenge for the teams that c upcoming this weekend. It's a fast track, very short. ⁓ you really have to have low down force ⁓ for the straights. I mean, pretty much sector one only has one turn. ⁓ but yeah, I I think the the way that you're gonna well one, you gotta have the most aero efficient car. So obviously, this is always a a Red Bull track, home track, too. They always build e arrow efficient cars, that's just the way they they operate. So Typically it does favor them. However, last year, of course, it was a McLaren domination. C three, C four, C5. I guess it's gonna be two stop. Maybe one stop, but I doubt it. I think maybe I don't know. We'll see. ⁓ but yeah, a lot of it, it's it's not it's a it's a fast track. ⁓ it's a beautiful track, by the way. So that brings us to what do we expect this weekend? And I've had lots of things running through my mind about this weekend. Because if we're just looking at the top four Mercedes, Ferrari, McLaren, Red Bull, out of those four, every single one of them has some sort of flaw going into this weekend that could impact them. although one of them, the least out of the four, which is the Ferrari, ⁓ The Ferrari, I mean, obviously just came off a win, pretty big win. I mean, the only flaw right now is just LeClaire's skill, I guess you could say, and his braking. But otherwise, the car seems to be pretty good when it comes to race pace. You know, maybe they have some qualifying issues at times. They just they they don't have any true concerns, though they're just fighting with some Goliath, which is the Mercedes PU and that's their The only thing they have to worry about. ⁓ Mercedes. ⁓ we just had heard the news this past weekend. If they get s ⁓ if they're driving close to other cars, then it starts overheating and then it ends up going poof, which is actually validated because we've seen that happen the past what two or three races, even. ⁓ so and then McLaren don't even have to tell you that. They just it there's they just Darksideday: Yeah. It's just f1capper: Have had problems since day one, and you can just see something crawls up the car and that's it. Boom. Elect electrical more than more than anything is electrical for them. And also they do have a Mercedes PU. So I'm curious to see, are they would they have the similar issue that ⁓ Mercedes was having? And then Red Bull. So they are getting a big upgrade. That's the talk of social media. Darksideday: Weight loss. I was reading seven kilograms weight loss. f1capper: Right, they're getting the Ozempic shot. They're getting it all. So they think it's gonna be a new car, all the buzz is about like the execs are gonna be there, it's their home race. They expect that they're gonna be challenging for the win. But their race pace is still kinda bad. It's not that great. Tires. They always have a problem with tires. ⁓ whether they the race pace is fine, but it's like they will c turn they will run into problems whether it's throughout the race or just temperatures. They can't get it in the right window. So Darksideday: And also the starts have been absolutely abysmal. f1capper: Donkey, yeah. And let's not forget this car also had reliability issues. I mean, Max had this random DNF at the start of Monaco. Hajars had what two DNFs because the engine went blue. Yeah, it wasn't like somehow he made it through Monaco too. So let's not forget that there there's still that issue. Okay, so that's long winded. That was a lot. With that being said Darksideday: And his engine wasn't working properly at Monaco anyway. f1capper: I could go down the list of the others, which I'm not going to do that just yet. We'll just cherry pick at this point. I I I can't I'm I'm having a hard time getting my mind off of anything but but I think I think I'm gonna go backing Leclerc over Hamilton. It's been some time since I looked to in his dominant days, of course he would d be dominant, but even then, like past four four years he's It's not like it's this is not the t style of track for him, I guess you could say. And I think this is where LeClaire has the opportunity to, you know, buy low situation, his head, like everything in his head is I it's it's a disaster right now, right? Can it get lower? Probably. But from here, like he can just say we just gotta s we just gotta get in the car and just have a good weekend. And maybe that helps reduce a little bit of pressure. How is it impacting these cars? Because when it was in my when we were in Miami, it wasn't really that hot. Like it was hot for Miami, of course. ⁓ or it was hot, but it wasn't like humid ⁓ to the point where in in extreme heat that we're st gonna start to see in the thick of the summer. The t the track temps are gonna be super high and you know, this is a shorter track. So let's see how how these guys and obviously last last race, I mean, there was a lot of craziness that was happening with some of these these cars. I s my mind think wants to think Ferrari might have something in the bag, but we know Ferrari can ha come to qualifying with some issue or they're they're not in the right temperature or whatever that may be.
