- 0:18Speaker 1: Hello, and welcome to Gatesleepers, the pop culture game show
- 0:22Speaker 1: that shines a spotlight onto everyone's favorite fandoms. I'm your
- 0:26Speaker 1: games master and person who traps people in light entertainment
- 0:29Speaker 1: formats Matt Watson. But a games master needs games, and
- 0:33Speaker 1: games need players, so please welcome first. She is our
- 0:36Speaker 1: resident captain, a podcaster and comedian who works in STEM,
- 0:40Speaker 1: which today stands for seriously, Tyra, you're eliminating me. Hello,
- 0:49Speaker 1: and she is a reality TV show fan and an
- 0:52Speaker 1: exec producer of this podcast who also works in STEM,
- 0:55Speaker 1: which means I need to come up with a second
- 0:57Speaker 1: one of these. Yes, okay. STEM. Today it stands for
- 1:03Speaker 1: so you're telling me everyone's Mormon. It's Taylor Logan.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Hi Hei, Hello, Hello.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Welcome, there's always adro. Welcome back, Taylor. How are you
- 1:15Speaker 1: both doing?
- 1:15Speaker 2: I'm doing great, better than I deserve? All right, incredible.
- 1:22Speaker 3: That's the best way to be, just a little bit ahead,
- 1:28Speaker 3: just always winning a little bit.
- 1:29Speaker 2: That's me.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Yes, yes, so we're here. Tonight's a kind of the
- 1:35Speaker 1: loose premise is look back at twenty twenty four in
- 1:38Speaker 1: reality television. It'll be that and it'll be a bit
- 1:42Speaker 1: of just general reality TV history as well. But are
- 1:46Speaker 1: you both reality TV fans? Can we say that right
- 1:49Speaker 1: off the bat?
- 1:50Speaker 3: I watch the amount that I'm capable of watching between
- 1:54Speaker 3: all of the other shows that we do. Whenever I
- 1:56Speaker 3: get a chance, I watch it. But that's less than
- 1:58Speaker 3: I would like. But maybe maybe more than average, but less.
- 2:03Speaker 2: Than I would like?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Yeah, got yeah? What about eat Saylor?
- 2:06Speaker 4: No, not at all. I don't really know why I'm
- 2:08Speaker 4: here today. I don't know why you asked me.
- 2:10Speaker 2: No, I actually love reality TV. It's my escapism.
- 2:14Speaker 4: I will like listen to it like a podcast, walking
- 2:17Speaker 4: around in my house doing things, I will listen to
- 2:20Speaker 4: reality TV.
- 2:21Speaker 2: So yeah, I like reality TV.
- 2:23Speaker 1: That's good. That's good. That's good. I feel like, yeah,
- 2:26Speaker 1: you got you got a chance then, right, you got
- 2:28Speaker 1: a a chance to win these games that definitely matter.
- 2:31Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, I think the thing is like, I'm more vibes.
- 2:36Speaker 4: I'm more vibes of reality TV. Do I have the memory?
- 2:39Speaker 5: Like?
- 2:39Speaker 4: Does it stick? We'll see today, will tell.
- 2:43Speaker 1: We'll see. We'll see. Speaking of reality TV shows in
- 2:46Speaker 1: twenty twenty four, because that's a sentence I said about
- 2:48Speaker 1: two minutes ago. Have you either of you had like
- 2:51Speaker 1: a favorite reality TV show of the I loved The Goat.
- 2:55Speaker 1: Oh yeah, yeah, that was good.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Yeah, I loved it.
- 2:58Speaker 3: Before they even said that one of them was a
- 3:00Speaker 3: pro wrestler, I was like what because they did like
- 3:03Speaker 3: a pan across everybody and she did a DDT onto
- 3:07Speaker 3: someone and I was like, okay, you had not been
- 3:13Speaker 3: featured yet, but you're my favorite now.
- 3:16Speaker 1: Yeah, the Goat was great. Such it's MAT's of reality stuff.
- 3:20Speaker 1: What about you, Tayla.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I just started watching The Traders this year. I hadn't
- 3:24Speaker 4: watched season one last year, and I do love the
- 3:27Speaker 4: format of that show. I'm really enjoying it because it
- 3:30Speaker 4: feels like a good mix of gameplay strategy while also
- 3:35Speaker 4: very reality TV feeling.
- 3:39Speaker 2: So yeah, was it my favorite of all? I can't
- 3:42Speaker 2: pick a favorite.
- 3:42Speaker 4: You can't ask a person to pick their favorite child,
- 3:45Speaker 4: So no, I'm not going to take you a favorite
- 3:47Speaker 4: for you, but I liked that way.
- 3:49Speaker 1: That's fair enough.
- 3:50Speaker 3: You only have one child. I hope you could pick
- 3:53Speaker 3: your favorite.
- 3:56Speaker 2: That's why you can't have another, because she is my favorite.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll ruin the whole thing, It'll ruin everything.
- 4:04Speaker 1: Taylor Audre. It's a reality show, so you're going there's
- 4:07Speaker 1: gonna be some competition, so you're gonna need some opponents.
- 4:10Speaker 2: Yes, okay, let me add on.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Fight and talk fighting already. She is a fiber artist,
- 4:17Speaker 1: reality TV fan, and Gateleaper's cast member. She says, baking show,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I say bake off, but let's call the whole thing
- 4:25Speaker 1: bake off because that's the country of origin it's generating.
- 4:28Speaker 2: I don't say a big show.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I just made an assumption based on your American ways.
- 4:35Speaker 6: Wow, as it relates to reality baking competitions. I take
- 4:41Speaker 6: this shiit seriously and it is.
- 4:44Speaker 1: Hello, excellent stuff. And she is an artist, photographer and
- 4:54Speaker 1: also an executive producer of this podcast, so if this
- 4:58Speaker 1: isn't fun for her tonight, she's well within her rights
- 5:00Speaker 1: to pull funding. It's ash Wood, Hello, Hello, Hey, Hey,
- 5:07Speaker 1: look at It's just a bunch of friends. But in
- 5:09Speaker 1: podcast mode, I feel we are doing this voice.
- 5:15Speaker 2: We respect it, but we do expect it as well.
- 5:20Speaker 1: Jen, Ash welcome back. How are you both doing?
- 5:23Speaker 6: Doing pretty good?
- 5:25Speaker 7: Doing well good?
- 5:28Speaker 1: I'll ask you straight away, fans of reality TV? Are
- 5:31Speaker 1: you are you here for the right reasons?
- 5:32Speaker 5: Hey?
- 5:33Speaker 6: I mean no, but also I love reality Those are
- 5:37Speaker 6: two questions. Yeah, I'm always here for the wrong reasons.
- 5:44Speaker 6: Let's cause chaos my friends. Okay, No, yeah, I have
- 5:48Speaker 6: watched reality TV and since I was probably too young
- 5:52Speaker 6: to watch reality TV, And yeah, I feel like it's
- 5:58Speaker 6: a lifeblood of surrealism and escapism, like Taylor said, and
- 6:03Speaker 6: it's just very fun to live in some other person's
- 6:06Speaker 6: brain for.
- 6:07Speaker 2: A little bit.
- 6:08Speaker 6: And when I mean that, I mean the producers of
- 6:10Speaker 6: whoever saying, hey, let's cause a social experiment. Let's put
- 6:13Speaker 6: all these people in a house, shall we. So yeah,
- 6:17Speaker 6: it's grand all time.
- 6:18Speaker 8: Yes, I think my relationship with reality television is pretty healthy.
- 6:24Speaker 7: Guys.
- 6:26Speaker 8: Yeah, watch it actually in ways of like I'm gonna
- 6:30Speaker 8: binge it for like two weeks and then I'm gonna
- 6:33Speaker 8: not watch reality television.
- 6:35Speaker 7: Never done a long time.
- 6:36Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, yeah, just mainline it for a period of time.
- 6:40Speaker 1: I think you're just gorge.
- 6:43Speaker 7: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 6:44Speaker 8: I mean sometimes you just really can only receive so
- 6:48Speaker 8: much of that kind of energy, so I just frontload
- 6:53Speaker 8: it and then write it out nice.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Absolutely strategy. If you've got any reality shows from twenty
- 7:01Speaker 1: twenty four, you want to shout out with some of
- 7:03Speaker 1: your favorites from the.
- 7:04Speaker 8: I think my experience first watching The Secret Lives of
- 7:09Speaker 8: Mormon Wives made that one my favorite because I watched
- 7:13Speaker 8: it with my in laws. We were all in in
- 7:18Speaker 8: the living room together and it was just like why
- 7:21Speaker 8: are we watching this? But also we cannot stop, so
- 7:24Speaker 8: we binged a few episodes on the couch together and
- 7:27Speaker 8: it was prime so nice shout out.
- 7:33Speaker 7: Also, those girls are a messed.
- 7:35Speaker 4: They are in the best ways maybe Jesus, and I
- 7:39Speaker 4: hope they get him.
- 7:40Speaker 1: I do.
- 7:46Speaker 2: I think the problem is that they have Jesus. Jesus,
- 7:50Speaker 2: that's the opposite.
- 7:52Speaker 6: No, I will say I will double down on Audre's
- 7:56Speaker 6: I thoroughly am enjoyed the Goat. I love how unseerious
- 8:01Speaker 6: that show was, and truly it was like, Yeah, we're
- 8:04Speaker 6: gonna pay you to live in a house for like
- 8:06Speaker 6: three weeks. We're gonna burn through all of these stupid
- 8:09Speaker 6: yard games. It's gonna be for money, like it's gonna
- 8:12Speaker 6: be for real, like real reason. But we need you
- 8:15Speaker 6: to really reality TV it up like we brought you
- 8:18Speaker 6: in because we know we can put you in a
- 8:19Speaker 6: house and say hey, dial it up to twelve and
- 8:22Speaker 6: you'll do it like and then you do the Toash
- 8:25Speaker 6: Poino as the host and You've got Yeah, it was
- 8:30Speaker 6: so good. It was just so unseerious and I love
- 8:33Speaker 6: that And then, uh, I will honor about mention it
- 8:36Speaker 6: now because it will probably not come up in the show.
- 8:40Speaker 6: But outlast on Netflix. We didn't know there was a
- 8:43Speaker 6: season once. We actually watched season two up until it
- 8:47Speaker 6: was like out and then watch season one because we
- 8:51Speaker 6: like caught up on season two and there's still a
- 8:53Speaker 6: couple episodes to go. And that show, I like, it's
- 8:57Speaker 6: alone but with a team essentially, like and it's just
- 9:01Speaker 6: so funny and yeah, really entertaining stuff that was technically
- 9:05Speaker 6: reality TV but kind of what's outside of the lexicon
- 9:08Speaker 6: of like, you know it, it's competition reality, but.
- 9:10Speaker 1: It's not you know, no, for the purposes of today,
- 9:13Speaker 1: it may fall into reality TV.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Well wonderful. I freaking loved that show.
- 9:19Speaker 7: I also loved that show.
- 9:21Speaker 6: It was it was I stumbled on that one by accident.
- 9:24Speaker 6: And it's always nice when you find a reality TV
- 9:26Speaker 6: show that has a couple of seasons out that you're like, oh,
- 9:28Speaker 6: I can sink into this world, right right.
- 9:32Speaker 4: I've almost picked up vander Pump Rules simply for that.
- 9:37Speaker 4: But it's almost intimidating. Yeah, but it's almost intimidating the amounts.
- 9:43Speaker 2: How I feel about Housewives.
- 9:44Speaker 6: I feel like I was like Real Housewives, but like
- 9:46Speaker 6: there's just too much.
- 9:47Speaker 2: There's just where where do I get? Where do I start?
- 9:50Speaker 6: Like someone tell me?
- 9:51Speaker 2: And when do I end? When does it stop? It doesn't,
- 9:56Speaker 2: it ends when the world ends. Just keep finding housewives.
- 10:01Speaker 2: It'll just be Real Housewives of the Apocalypse.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Okay, seems the producers have been chatting and we think
- 10:11Speaker 1: it'll be a really good idea if you form alliances
- 10:14Speaker 1: to begin with. So I'd like each pair to come
- 10:17Speaker 1: up with a reality TV themed team name. Please, let's
- 10:20Speaker 1: start with Udra and Taylor. Have you got any ideas?
- 10:23Speaker 2: I have a couple ideas. I have a few. Nice
- 10:25Speaker 2: That's why I pick you.
- 10:29Speaker 3: We went to the same school in Missouri, and so
- 10:33Speaker 3: I have two based on that. It's Secret Lives of
- 10:35Speaker 3: ex vangel exvangelical Wives, Secret Lives of exvangelical Wives. It's
- 10:42Speaker 3: it's long, it's a mouthful, and so is Real Housewives
- 10:45Speaker 3: of Green County, which is a county, green Townyan Spretty.
- 10:56Speaker 3: The only time it's gonna get its own Real Housewives,
- 11:01Speaker 3: you know, I really.
- 11:02Speaker 4: Love the expangelical one. That is going to be so
- 11:05Speaker 4: hard for me to say. So I'm leaning that direction clearly.
- 11:09Speaker 3: Yes, yes, Yes, it's also going to be really long
- 11:12Speaker 3: on the title yes again, which I think we did
- 11:15Speaker 3: last time.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Probably.
- 11:18Speaker 3: I also have the missus communications because of the amount
- 11:22Speaker 3: of miscommunications that exist on these types of shows.
- 11:24Speaker 2: And now that's just clever, that's just clever. Work you,
- 11:28Speaker 2: thank you, I got you.
- 11:30Speaker 3: And then my last two are just right reasons or
- 11:33Speaker 3: wrong reasons, depending on how we're feeling. If we're feeling
- 11:39Speaker 3: like we're here, we're here for the right reasons then
- 11:42Speaker 3: or if we're just if we're ungovernable, then we're here
- 11:45Speaker 3: for the wrong reasons.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I mean wrong is like definitely the vib I hope
- 11:50Speaker 4: you're coming in with that vibe as well.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Yeah, it feels like it. Yeah, so you just knocked
- 11:56Speaker 2: it out of the park.
- 11:57Speaker 4: I mean, I'm leaning towards expangelicals, I'm leaning towards miscommunication.
- 12:02Speaker 4: I'm leaning doords wrong reasons?
- 12:05Speaker 5: I do.
- 12:05Speaker 3: I think that Secret Lives of Expangelical wives, if I
- 12:08Speaker 3: would have said it clearly the first time, would have
- 12:10Speaker 3: gotten the biggest pop.
- 12:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I've still got a huge pop.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Thank you, Thank you. The pop is measurable.
- 12:17Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 12:18Speaker 2: So secret Wives have exvangelical wives.
- 12:22Speaker 1: God damn you guys.
- 12:24Speaker 4: One it's it's Slew Secret Lives Experience.
- 12:32Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Matt, it's just SLU. It's just SLU.
- 12:36Speaker 6: It's just.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Thank you. Let's find out who Slew will be facing. Jen.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Ash got any ideas?
- 12:46Speaker 7: I defer to Jen.
- 12:49Speaker 6: I'm just going to realist off the ones we talked
- 12:51Speaker 6: about and then we have to make a final Okay. So,
- 12:54Speaker 6: as always, I consulted Chris for these because I do
- 12:57Speaker 6: that every time and he is often the person who
- 13:00Speaker 6: picks the team names that I'm on.
- 13:02Speaker 2: So shout out, shout out to Chris.
- 13:04Speaker 6: We have real wives, no house because we both working women.
- 13:12Speaker 6: You've got a couple riffs on grocery stores, So grocery store.
- 13:18Speaker 6: Joe is a Bachelorette contestant from seasons and seasons ago.
- 13:23Speaker 6: He made a big splash on Bachelor of Paradise the
- 13:27Speaker 6: both seasons he was on, and he is currently still
- 13:29Speaker 6: engaged the person he proposed to the second time.
- 13:32Speaker 1: So okay, you know good.
- 13:35Speaker 6: But when he was on the Bachelorette, he was on
- 13:37Speaker 6: screen for two minutes early out, but they called them
- 13:41Speaker 6: grocery store Joe. He was on the goat. So that
- 13:45Speaker 6: is the connection here to twenty twenty four.
- 13:47Speaker 2: I did love Joe, let me go.
- 13:49Speaker 6: We love grocery store Joe. He just so unbothered. But
- 13:53Speaker 6: there's a couple of options. There's the grocery store gals,
- 13:57Speaker 6: which is a little bit more peg, and then there's
- 13:59Speaker 6: the grocery store hose like Joe, but hose instead. We're
- 14:04Speaker 6: kind of the top. I can't remember the I think
- 14:07Speaker 6: those were the three that we liked. I also had
- 14:10Speaker 6: Secret Lives of Housecoats, which was a mixed Secret Lives
- 14:17Speaker 6: house Real Housewives, and.
- 14:20Speaker 1: I would watch that so hard, just a house full
- 14:24Speaker 1: of a hundred goats, just.
- 14:29Speaker 6: So and since they already did the Secret Lives things,
- 14:32Speaker 6: it could just be housecoats, which also would be pretty funny. Wait,
- 14:41Speaker 6: real housecoats.
- 14:42Speaker 9: We just.
- 14:44Speaker 2: House Wait, yes, hoats, real house goats.
- 14:51Speaker 1: It's decided, real house goats.
- 14:52Speaker 3: I love it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: It's what I thought like all American sports teams were
- 14:58Speaker 1: called before I arrived here. There always things like, yeah,
- 15:01Speaker 1: the Houston house.
- 15:02Speaker 7: Goats, how dare you put us in Texas? Sorry, that's rude.
- 15:11Speaker 2: Low blow.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Okay, so we've got the Secret Lives of Evangelical Wives
- 15:18Speaker 1: or slew versus the Real Housecoats. These good team names.
- 15:23Speaker 1: I really like these ones. And if you're listening to
- 15:26Speaker 1: this and thinking, well, reality TV isn't really my bag,
- 15:30Speaker 1: I prefer reality that's not on the TV AKA my life,
- 15:34Speaker 1: don't worry his Audra with a little segment we like
- 15:37Speaker 1: to call passing knowledge.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Reality TV has been with us since TV was invented,
- 15:43Speaker 3: probably by someone named John Television. A show called Candid
- 15:48Speaker 3: Camera began in the nineteen forties showing the reactions of
- 15:51Speaker 3: members of the public to situations curated for television, but
- 15:55Speaker 3: they didn't get a cash prize or the opportunity to
- 15:58Speaker 3: meet TV's routledge would The genre exploded at the turn
- 16:03Speaker 3: of the millennium due to the cost effective nature of
- 16:06Speaker 3: the programming, as well as the rise in both surveillance
- 16:09Speaker 3: culture and individualism. There's no joke there, but intellectualizing reality
- 16:15Speaker 3: TV is still funny to me because it's such a
- 16:18Speaker 3: stupid genre. In the twenty twenties, it has become a
- 16:22Speaker 3: self aware meta genre where very few participants are under
- 16:26Speaker 3: the impression that they're competing for something real that conceit
- 16:30Speaker 3: has moved to Mister Beast videos for gen Z to
- 16:33Speaker 3: figure out. These days, you're more likely to find seasoned
- 16:37Speaker 3: reality show stars and influencers playing in the unreal space
- 16:41Speaker 3: to entertain you and distract you from your very real life,
- 16:47Speaker 3: or members of the public who no longer want to
- 16:50Speaker 3: become rich and famous, but instead want to become part
- 16:53Speaker 3: of an experience they've watched for years. I've been looking
- 16:58Speaker 3: back at some of those old Candid Cares clips, and
- 17:01Speaker 3: as a species, we've not changed at all, but the formats,
- 17:06Speaker 3: types of stars, and the qualities that are championed in
- 17:09Speaker 3: US have changed over time. I'm not going to say
- 17:12Speaker 3: that reality TV is like holding a mirror up to society.
- 17:16Speaker 3: We know it's not, but it is like holding a
- 17:20Speaker 3: camera up to society while taking extensive liberties in the
- 17:24Speaker 3: editing suite. And just like reality TV, I promise that
- 17:28Speaker 3: everything that happens tonight is unscripted and real. I winked there,
- 17:35Speaker 3: you couldn't see me, but I winked. Let's play gate Leapers,
- 17:44Speaker 3: thank you Adra.
- 17:45Speaker 1: Just before we get to today's games, I've asked each
- 17:47Speaker 1: player to bring in a muse, something that inspires them
- 17:50Speaker 1: or something they love from this particular fandom. Reality TV
- 17:54Speaker 1: is inspiring to me because there's a format and everyone's
- 17:57Speaker 1: got to mostly stick to it, which is how life
- 17:59Speaker 1: should fit.
- 18:03Speaker 2: This, says the host Udro.
- 18:08Speaker 1: We'll start with you, what's inspiring you from reality TV
- 18:10Speaker 1: in twenty twenty four or just in general?
- 18:13Speaker 3: This is just in general, but especially right now for
- 18:16Speaker 3: this episode. My muse is intelligent, capable women who love
- 18:21Speaker 3: dumb television.
- 18:23Speaker 2: That is my muse.
- 18:24Speaker 3: The only thing that the women in this podcast are
- 18:27Speaker 3: not capable of is this level of utter bullshit. We
- 18:33Speaker 3: have protected our piece. We have mostly removed people from
- 18:36Speaker 3: our lives that are going to cause this drama. We
- 18:39Speaker 3: could do these complex like strategy based game shows, but
- 18:42Speaker 3: we know our values, we know our worth. We're staying
- 18:45Speaker 3: at home. We're here for the right reasons. And I
- 18:49Speaker 3: just think that, like, if you can't, if you can't
- 18:53Speaker 3: get like your organic Shoudenfreude store bot is fine, you
- 18:58Speaker 3: can just watch the show and it's fine.
- 19:01Speaker 1: Nice.
- 19:02Speaker 4: I like that.
- 19:02Speaker 1: So your life isn't isn't messy? No, you appreciate how
- 19:06Speaker 1: you've managed to keep your life clean.
- 19:08Speaker 3: I'm a woman in stem I'm a woman in business.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I outsource that mess, and I think that everybody else
- 19:15Speaker 3: in this record does as well.
- 19:17Speaker 1: Nice to the reality TV stars in this world, Yes,
- 19:20Speaker 1: we trust those experts.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Yeah that's so deep. Home grow your weed, outsource your drama.
- 19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, let's see that on a T shirt.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Ye yeah, yeah, that's great.
- 19:32Speaker 1: I like it all right, good stuff, very inspiring, Oudra.
- 19:35Speaker 1: Let's move on over to your SLEW team mate, Taylor.
- 19:38Speaker 1: What's inspiring you?
- 19:39Speaker 7: Well?
- 19:39Speaker 4: I Likeddres so I wish I could steal hers, but
- 19:43Speaker 4: I did have a moment. So The Traders, as I mentioned,
- 19:45Speaker 4: is my favorite right now. And because we pushed the
- 19:49Speaker 4: recording of this podcast, I had to fill my time
- 19:52Speaker 4: with a new reality TV show nice, and so I
- 19:57Speaker 4: did the New Zealand version of The Traders, which was
- 20:01Speaker 4: really interesting and definitely I recommend it. I plug it
- 20:05Speaker 4: because it's a very they're all so key we and
- 20:11Speaker 4: they also something about their culture like enables them to
- 20:16Speaker 4: be really good at being faithful but not at being traders.
- 20:21Speaker 2: So yeah, anyways, I'm watching who.
- 20:23Speaker 4: But they opened up the first scene with something that
- 20:27Speaker 4: I wish every reality TV show would do, and it
- 20:30Speaker 4: was there was a pile of ten thousand dollars and
- 20:33Speaker 4: you could run and go grab it right now and
- 20:36Speaker 4: get yourself out of the game. Like you could say, Nope,
- 20:39Speaker 4: I'm not going to continue doing any of this game.
- 20:41Speaker 4: I'm going to run over and grab the ten thousand
- 20:42Speaker 4: dollars cash and leave. So they do like two rounds
- 20:46Speaker 4: of people being able to decide if they're going to
- 20:49Speaker 4: do it or not, and the first round nobody does it.
- 20:51Speaker 4: They're all like, no, I'm here to play the game.
- 20:53Speaker 4: I know I have better odds if I take the
- 20:55Speaker 4: ten thousand. And then the second group, only one person
- 20:59Speaker 4: did it. He was a gain and he was like
- 21:00Speaker 4: the stature in my favorite I should go and do it.
- 21:03Speaker 4: And it made me feel better about watching the entire season,
- 21:07Speaker 4: because I like sometimes get the ick about the way
- 21:10Speaker 4: that it's like, oh, this person desperately needs this money
- 21:13Speaker 4: because they can't afford their home or they want to
- 21:15Speaker 4: like do something for this kind gesture, and then you're
- 21:20Speaker 4: you hate.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Poor people and people who are suffering. I understand exactly.
- 21:24Speaker 2: It feels it feels like.
- 21:27Speaker 1: It's icky, it's itchy.
- 21:28Speaker 4: It feels afy that I'm like, they have like a
- 21:32Speaker 4: real need for this money, but the ten thousand dollars
- 21:35Speaker 4: option then equates that like ten thousand dollars is notable,
- 21:38Speaker 4: and if you need help right away, you can run
- 21:40Speaker 4: and grab it.
- 21:41Speaker 2: Otherwise everybody's here to play a fucking game. And so
- 21:45Speaker 2: that did inspire me.
- 21:47Speaker 1: That's such an interesting format point to just be like, hey,
- 21:50Speaker 1: the whole hedging your bets thing you'll be doing every
- 21:52Speaker 1: single episode, you can just avoid all that and take
- 21:55Speaker 1: a cash prize.
- 21:56Speaker 2: Yep.
- 21:57Speaker 4: And I do think it's pretty cultural and I wish
- 22:00Speaker 4: that our culture adapted a bit more.
- 22:02Speaker 2: To that point.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Do you think if it was in America it would
- 22:05Speaker 1: everyone would just run and grab the cash and there'd
- 22:07Speaker 1: be no sure.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I think it would be a mixture of that.
- 22:11Speaker 3: I think yeah, because at ten k, oh, you bet
- 22:15Speaker 3: your ass, I'm probably I'm gonna go just take that
- 22:18Speaker 3: ten k.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Yeah, it depends if the shoot is like two to
- 22:21Speaker 1: three weeks, because that's a lot of value in like
- 22:23Speaker 1: catering and hotels and stuff that ye, vacation. Okay, so
- 22:29Speaker 1: you have to work out the value close to ten
- 22:32Speaker 1: I don't.
- 22:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I'd have to do the math.
- 22:36Speaker 1: Yeah, No, that's a that's a good muse. I'm always
- 22:38Speaker 1: inspired by format points, So that's very inspiring to me. Okay,
- 22:44Speaker 1: moving on over to the Real House Goats, the most
- 22:46Speaker 1: normal team name in Gateleaper's history. Favorite What's What's inspiring you?
- 22:52Speaker 1: From reality TV?
- 22:54Speaker 8: So I decided to go back and rewatch something I
- 22:58Speaker 8: remember watching like a while ago, and it was The Mole.
- 23:02Speaker 8: And I love that game because there's somebody literally there
- 23:07Speaker 8: trying to sabotage the entire time. Obviously there's a mole.
- 23:11Speaker 8: And so that one I rewatched in the last several
- 23:14Speaker 8: weeks and it confused me also, so.
- 23:18Speaker 7: I was like, oh, it's just so good.
- 23:21Speaker 8: Sorry, I just really appreciate their format and I abated
- 23:25Speaker 8: how they found people who were actually pretty good at
- 23:28Speaker 8: the game.
- 23:28Speaker 7: I think it was season two that I watched, and
- 23:32Speaker 7: I just appreciated it, you.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Know, Yeah, it's it's it's so good as a as
- 23:37Speaker 1: a Falmae and like it's one of the original ones
- 23:39Speaker 1: as well, like it because it was rebooted recently but
- 23:43Speaker 1: was in on like the early two thousands or something.
- 23:46Speaker 8: Yeah, yeah, I watched the I watched the newer the
- 23:49Speaker 8: reboot recently, but we have watched the old ones, Adam
- 23:53Speaker 8: and I, and it's just so good.
- 23:55Speaker 7: Yeah, gives me a little bit.
- 23:58Speaker 8: More than just drama, I think, yeah, like strategy and
- 24:01Speaker 8: gameplay also, and I think that's why it's entice it definitely.
- 24:05Speaker 1: Definitely, Yeah, it's a little bit of every genre of
- 24:09Speaker 1: reality TV. Yeah, very inspiring format. Love the mole. Yeah, okay, Jen,
- 24:15Speaker 1: what's inspiring you from reality TV in twenty twenty four
- 24:18Speaker 1: or just broadly?
- 24:19Speaker 2: I have two one.
- 24:21Speaker 6: I loved that it on its whole, like when people
- 24:25Speaker 6: are like, oh, you watch relity TV, like it's all fake,
- 24:27Speaker 6: and it's like, yeah, man, I know, but it's also
- 24:29Speaker 6: like it's not one hundred percent it is inspired based
- 24:33Speaker 6: on real things, and then they just replay it or
- 24:35Speaker 6: they act it up or you know whatever, right, or
- 24:39Speaker 6: there's a shot list that you need to get And
- 24:41Speaker 6: while they're improving technically, there was some curation there to
- 24:45Speaker 6: make that moment happen. And it it inspired me a
- 24:50Speaker 6: couple of years ago to start curating those experiences like
- 24:53Speaker 6: it's a reality to like I'm a reality touch reality
- 24:56Speaker 6: show producer for myself because it's like you're not going
- 24:59Speaker 6: to stumble into those moments always, but you can curate
- 25:03Speaker 6: it in a way that I am anxious and don't
- 25:06Speaker 6: often want to advocate for those things. It's like if
- 25:09Speaker 6: I can tell myself, like I want to go walk
- 25:12Speaker 6: around a snowy neighborhood with their Christmas lights drinking hot chocolate.
- 25:16Speaker 6: If I wait for someone else to do that for me,
- 25:18Speaker 6: it's not going to happen. But if I say, all right,
- 25:20Speaker 6: I'm curating the experience. I want a snowy, hot chocolate
- 25:24Speaker 6: night time walk, usually people around you're like, oh yeah,
- 25:26Speaker 6: let's do that. So it's like that idea of curating
- 25:29Speaker 6: those experience over yourself, but then just being present when
- 25:32Speaker 6: they're happening, and it doesn't make it any less meaningful
- 25:34Speaker 6: when you're there. It just kind of teaches you to
- 25:37Speaker 6: like produce your life a little bit more. And it's
- 25:41Speaker 6: just been fun to like see how that comes about,
- 25:43Speaker 6: and like structural and that's just like bargaining with myself.
- 25:47Speaker 6: That's a tactic to get myself to do things. But
- 25:50Speaker 6: reality TV does it really well. And then I just
- 25:52Speaker 6: say producers making adults do silly yard games. I think
- 25:57Speaker 6: like and like strategy, Like yes, it's a common petition show,
- 26:00Speaker 6: but you need to go figure out to build a
- 26:02Speaker 6: boat and then get that boat into the middle of
- 26:04Speaker 6: the ocean and it has money on it and if
- 26:06Speaker 6: you drop it, then this is going to happen.
- 26:08Speaker 2: Like it's all competition reality, But.
- 26:09Speaker 6: It's just very fun to like tickle that like kind
- 26:11Speaker 6: of mystery strategy part of your brain.
- 26:14Speaker 7: Of like how I do this?
- 26:16Speaker 6: Yeah, while also then I also enjoyed watching a bunch
- 26:19Speaker 6: of people with you know, standing on a pole for
- 26:25Speaker 6: however long they could make it.
- 26:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and in that person just like yeah, it's just
- 26:29Speaker 2: like it just is fun.
- 26:30Speaker 6: Little like they were saying, like on that points, I
- 26:32Speaker 6: think it's like entertainment in a way. That's yeah, kind
- 26:35Speaker 6: of really fun.
- 26:36Speaker 1: No, that's like super healthy advice in terms that you
- 26:41Speaker 1: gave in the in the first half.
- 26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Think I'd even say, like, oh, it's it's not even
- 26:47Speaker 3: it's not less meaningful because I planned it. I'd argue
- 26:50Speaker 3: it's more because it like showed free will and this
- 26:54Speaker 3: is what I want and I had the option to
- 26:56Speaker 3: do it. I have the option to romanticize my life. Yeah,
- 26:59Speaker 3: and I took that choice.
- 27:01Speaker 4: Yeah, And heck yes, and Jen from knowing you like
- 27:05Speaker 4: as a friend outside of this, you're so good at
- 27:07Speaker 4: that and it makes a lot of sense that you've
- 27:09Speaker 4: been intentional about it.
- 27:11Speaker 2: That's so cool.
- 27:12Speaker 4: Like I think about our girls trip and you absolutely
- 27:14Speaker 4: did curate that space for us and produced it and
- 27:18Speaker 4: produced your life. I like it.
- 27:20Speaker 6: I learned that from reality TV from Bachelorette and One
- 27:24Speaker 6: on one Dates and Group Day.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Loved that.
- 27:27Speaker 8: Yes, I was in awe of Jen having a really
- 27:31Speaker 8: inspirational inspiration for this episode.
- 27:36Speaker 7: And I want to be you when I grow up.
- 27:39Speaker 5: Jen.
- 27:40Speaker 6: Oh you know, you know I have to be waxing
- 27:42Speaker 6: poetic about everything. That's why I'm the reality TV correspondent
- 27:45Speaker 6: in our group.
- 27:47Speaker 7: So true, so true.
- 27:49Speaker 6: Everything does have to be dramatic. That is correct. Why
- 27:53Speaker 6: Matt likes me on the show?
- 27:56Speaker 1: That was so beautiful one of the best muses of
- 27:59Speaker 1: the Definitely, that's just just just broadly excellent life advice
- 28:02Speaker 1: and entire genre.
- 28:04Speaker 6: Freaking why carolines during the Taylor Swift episode, I cannot
- 28:07Speaker 6: even know?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Okay, well, fair, we can. We can have a top three.
- 28:10Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I'll take Top three or five, but no way.
- 28:15Speaker 1: Okay, teams, I'm feeling pretty inspired. Are we ready for
- 28:18Speaker 1: some games?
- 28:19Speaker 2: Let's do it?
- 28:20Speaker 7: Absolutely?
- 28:20Speaker 1: Heck yes, Okay, let's hop in the metaphysical limo I've
- 28:24Speaker 1: hired as we head to our first challenge aka Round one.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Round one is our look back at reality TV in
- 28:35Speaker 1: twenty twenty four. There were so many huge moments in
- 28:38Speaker 1: these iconic shows. Is the sort of sentence that people
- 28:41Speaker 1: say on things like this, but can our players recognize
- 28:44Speaker 1: them from out of context quotes? In turn, I will
- 28:48Speaker 1: give our teams a quote from one of this year's
- 28:50Speaker 1: hit reality TV shows. I'd then like you to name
- 28:53Speaker 1: the show it's from for a point, give any more
- 28:56Speaker 1: details about the moment slash scene for another point, and
- 29:00Speaker 1: then the name of the person who said it for
- 29:02Speaker 1: a That's that could be tough. There's lots of people
- 29:04Speaker 1: on these shows, but for a maximum of three points
- 29:07Speaker 1: and that one, it could just be fun to guess
- 29:09Speaker 1: the type of name that might be in the show.
- 29:12Speaker 2: Yep, that's what you're gonna get, so fun as we can.
- 29:18Speaker 1: Okay, so we're going to start out with the Secret
- 29:20Speaker 1: Lives of Expangelical Wives. Here is your first quote. I
- 29:24Speaker 1: don't think you're a bad person. I think you've just
- 29:27Speaker 1: done a lot of bad things that make you look bad.
- 29:31Speaker 3: I think that this is going to be the people
- 29:34Speaker 3: on Secret lives with Mormon wives talking to the one
- 29:39Speaker 3: that had the pregnancy in the first episode or the
- 29:43Speaker 3: Taylor is her name? Yes, I think that it's someone
- 29:47Speaker 3: saying that to her. You happy with that, Taylor? You're
- 29:50Speaker 3: thinking Mormon wives for this one.
- 29:52Speaker 2: That's my that's my gut.
- 29:55Speaker 4: I think it's her mom that I think you're right.
- 29:57Speaker 4: I think it's her mom who says it to her.
- 29:59Speaker 4: And let's call her mom Mormon Rebeccaca.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm gonna get I'm going to give you it
- 30:07Speaker 1: because her mom is good enough. That's the right person
- 30:09Speaker 1: who said it.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Did you want to give any more details about like
- 30:14Speaker 1: what was being discussed at the time?
- 30:16Speaker 3: Were they in the day bar, either in the car
- 30:18Speaker 3: or in like the backyard, like they had that one
- 30:22Speaker 3: scene where they're in.
- 30:23Speaker 1: The and what were they What were they chatting about?
- 30:25Speaker 2: Maybe does she I think it's her new boyfriend.
- 30:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and she had a miss carriage, she was pregnant potentially.
- 30:34Speaker 4: I think in this conversation she had just had the
- 30:37Speaker 4: miscarriage with the new boyfriend and.
- 30:40Speaker 2: They were discussing her fertility and choices in her dating.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Broadly. Yeah, it was all of that. It was everything
- 30:48Speaker 1: that's full three points. That's that's exactly what it was.
- 30:51Speaker 2: Good job, Roga. Yes, that's the only one I know.
- 30:53Speaker 7: So we're so strict, you know, yeah job, all.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Right, well let's let's find out you never know. Let's
- 31:04Speaker 1: let's see what this quote is here. It is for
- 31:05Speaker 1: the real house goats. The tide is taking her out.
- 31:10Speaker 1: She's drifting so far. I don't know if she has
- 31:12Speaker 1: the strength to get back.
- 31:14Speaker 2: Oh, this is from Outlast.
- 31:15Speaker 6: This is when the blonde chick goes out on her
- 31:18Speaker 6: own and she's like paddling and she was setting the
- 31:23Speaker 6: she was trying to get together island or.
- 31:25Speaker 7: Something or no, was it the she was It was
- 31:29Speaker 7: the girl with the glasses.
- 31:30Speaker 6: It was the girl with the glasses that left the
- 31:32Speaker 6: team that had the really stupid Texas boys because they
- 31:36Speaker 6: were like one of the Texas boys was like, oh,
- 31:40Speaker 6: I could do that, no problem, and like two episodes
- 31:42Speaker 6: later he couldn't do it.
- 31:45Speaker 1: I bet they were from Houston.
- 31:47Speaker 6: Yeah, potentially, I don't remember one once. Definitely a city boy.
- 31:51Speaker 6: One was actually a guy who could do was like
- 31:54Speaker 6: a true Texas boy.
- 31:55Speaker 3: One owns party boats and lived on the West side
- 31:58Speaker 3: of Texas. Yeah, there's no cost.
- 32:03Speaker 6: And the ass the whole show.
- 32:05Speaker 3: Yeah, supposedly owns party boats and owns a party boat company,
- 32:09Speaker 3: like six hours from a coast.
- 32:11Speaker 6: It just I just loved it so much because the show,
- 32:14Speaker 6: like the editors, millennial editors are so good, and I'm
- 32:17Speaker 6: so glad that, like it's a bunch of thirty to
- 32:19Speaker 6: forty year olds in the editing bay now, because you
- 32:22Speaker 6: can see it all over. Every time they're like, were
- 32:24Speaker 6: the Texas boys. His name would come up and it
- 32:26Speaker 6: would say party like party but yes, boat like. They
- 32:30Speaker 6: were just like, do not take this man serious?
- 32:34Speaker 1: Him at every time.
- 32:35Speaker 2: Yeah, but it was the girl with the glasses.
- 32:37Speaker 6: She went out, it got too late, she got too cold,
- 32:39Speaker 6: and she had to flare out after being in the
- 32:42Speaker 6: middle of the river whatever waterway. That's for too long.
- 32:46Speaker 1: That's exactly it. It's outlast. It's as you described, go
- 32:49Speaker 1: with the glasses. You can identify all the plants. You
- 32:52Speaker 1: got two points. Could you say who said this about her?
- 32:55Speaker 1: From the show line?
- 32:56Speaker 6: Could you now that we've talked too much, could you
- 32:59Speaker 6: just say, like even the first half of the quote, Yeah, I'll.
- 33:03Speaker 1: Give you all of it.
- 33:04Speaker 2: Yeah, thank you generous.
- 33:05Speaker 1: The tide is taking her out. She's drifting so far.
- 33:09Speaker 1: I don't know if she has the strength to get
- 33:11Speaker 1: back like.
- 33:12Speaker 7: A Kevin or John. It was one of the guys
- 33:17Speaker 7: that was there, but.
- 33:18Speaker 6: Now I'm trying to figure out if it was I
- 33:20Speaker 6: can't remember if it was one of her teammates, or
- 33:22Speaker 6: if it was the other girl that was on the
- 33:24Speaker 6: team that was the one that defected, that was like
- 33:27Speaker 6: hot girl who moved from the one team over, or
- 33:30Speaker 6: if it was just the narrator because it also sounds
- 33:33Speaker 6: like the way that the narrator talked.
- 33:35Speaker 7: No, I think it was one of the guys on
- 33:37Speaker 7: the shore from her team.
- 33:39Speaker 1: Trying to throw out the name of the kind of
- 33:41Speaker 1: person who would be on.
- 33:42Speaker 2: Kyle ben Ooh, mister Texas steels, right.
- 33:48Speaker 6: They were the Texas Boys, and that's how they refer
- 33:50Speaker 6: to themselves. It's one of them.
- 33:54Speaker 1: It's like Ben, but it's not Ben. It's a Sammy Norris.
- 33:59Speaker 7: Was the guy he was like.
- 34:02Speaker 6: He wasn't one of the Typost boys. He was one
- 34:04Speaker 6: of the teammates though, so we did one of the teammates.
- 34:07Speaker 6: He was one of the guys on the team. He
- 34:08Speaker 6: was the only nice one and we loved Sammy because
- 34:12Speaker 6: he actually knew what he was doing.
- 34:14Speaker 7: Yeah, he kept that team alive.
- 34:16Speaker 6: I think I think Sammy was the atom of that
- 34:19Speaker 6: team for sure, Oh for sure, like that like yeah,
- 34:23Speaker 6: you'd like believe it kind of thing.
- 34:25Speaker 7: Mm hmm.
- 34:26Speaker 6: But it was one of her teammates and it was
- 34:27Speaker 6: one of the guys, so we still technically said yeah.
- 34:30Speaker 1: In spirit there, but only two points in reality. Okay,
- 34:37Speaker 1: back on over to slow. Here is your next quote.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I can't believe it was suggested that Paul is my son.
- 34:42Speaker 1: He's about three times toll of than mate. Pol just
- 34:45Speaker 1: can't be my son.
- 34:47Speaker 4: Okay, Golden Bachelor is what my gut goes too for
- 34:50Speaker 4: talking about his son.
- 34:52Speaker 7: Mm hmm.
- 34:52Speaker 2: But I would genuinely no clue. I don't know if
- 34:55Speaker 2: it was this year, but there was a UK Traders
- 34:58Speaker 2: where oh boiler right, No, you're exactly right.
- 35:02Speaker 4: Yes, there was a mother and son on the Traders
- 35:06Speaker 4: for UK, and I you're right because it was I.
- 35:09Speaker 3: Think the ones on that was they're both redheads and
- 35:13Speaker 3: so they're like, ah, yes, these two.
- 35:15Speaker 2: But if you were similar, I mean, I think you're right.
- 35:20Speaker 4: Yes, you are right, because that's the only season of
- 35:23Speaker 4: The Traders that I've seen UK and I watched it.
- 35:25Speaker 2: For this Dona, Debbie, Oh, Dina.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Diane, Diane, the full three points.
- 35:39Speaker 2: Incredible.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Absolutely, Yeah, that was a really good reality show twist
- 35:44Speaker 1: I thought of, just like, oh, yeah, everyone is theorizing
- 35:47Speaker 1: that this guy is my son. Well he's not my son,
- 35:50Speaker 1: this other guy is.
- 35:51Speaker 5: Uh huh.
- 35:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:53Speaker 7: That was so pron.
- 35:54Speaker 8: That was the show because I think it's on a
- 35:57Speaker 8: service that I don't have, and at some point I'm
- 35:59Speaker 8: sure i'll have again in my life and then I'm
- 36:02Speaker 8: gonna have to watch all of those because you guys
- 36:04Speaker 8: talk about it and it sounds so good.
- 36:06Speaker 2: It's so good.
- 36:07Speaker 3: I really like the UK ones as well, because I
- 36:11Speaker 3: like the host, Claudia Winkleman's Great Joways has great sweaters.
- 36:15Speaker 4: And I do like how a host like they take
- 36:18Speaker 4: a twist on each traders, like each place is different
- 36:22Speaker 4: and it feels like it's kind of tailored to the host.
- 36:26Speaker 6: They're all costumed so well though, yeah they are. This
- 36:30Speaker 6: sets are so great.
- 36:32Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it's beautiful.
- 36:33Speaker 2: The New ones a little whimpy, but gosh, come on
- 36:38Speaker 2: New Zealand. But the beautiful views, yes, beautiful.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Country, beautiful country. Okay, moving back on over to the
- 36:45Speaker 1: real house goats. Here is your next quote. Head inside
- 36:48Speaker 1: the Manna, make alliances, talk trash, figure out which bathroom
- 36:52Speaker 1: is going to be used for poop.
- 36:54Speaker 2: That's a go.
- 36:55Speaker 6: And it was Tash that said it, and it was
- 36:57Speaker 6: the opening line of the show, almost.
- 37:01Speaker 1: Exactly what I've got written down. You just said it
- 37:05Speaker 1: so casually. Yeah, just after the first game that they
- 37:08Speaker 1: play when they arrive. It's just kind of setting up
- 37:10Speaker 1: the promise. I thought i'd give a meta quote for
- 37:12Speaker 1: a meta show. Yeah, yeah, three points quick as anything, which,
- 37:17Speaker 1: like is.
- 37:17Speaker 6: So sad that that is the truth, Like they talk
- 37:20Speaker 6: about that all the time that like, especially in America
- 37:23Speaker 6: Sex Stop Model, Like the only bathroom with a door
- 37:26Speaker 6: was the one in the talking headroom. So they would
- 37:29Speaker 6: all go do interviews because that when they needed to
- 37:32Speaker 6: go to the bathroom, because they'd be like, oh, I
- 37:34Speaker 6: can go with a door in the bathroom. So it
- 37:37Speaker 6: was like that was like the only time, and that
- 37:40Speaker 6: was like the incentive, but it was the only bathroom.
- 37:42Speaker 5: Was the.
- 37:44Speaker 3: Idea that I'm going to be in a place for
- 37:46Speaker 3: that long without bathrooms with doors, yeah, ah, yeah.
- 37:52Speaker 6: Why there's many so many group shots because they couldn't
- 37:55Speaker 6: do the door, like the bathroom shots with the camera
- 37:59Speaker 6: and the crane and all of that in the house.
- 38:01Speaker 6: And so it was like if you're on set, then
- 38:04Speaker 6: your good. Obviously sets and venues are going to have
- 38:06Speaker 6: doors or when you're in the house.
- 38:08Speaker 2: Like that was that was the deal.
- 38:11Speaker 6: And that was like say some like up until whatever point,
- 38:14Speaker 6: like there was just somebody in the mid mid card
- 38:17Speaker 6: of the seasons said, that's.
- 38:19Speaker 1: The thing reality TV. The highs and lows.
- 38:22Speaker 4: Yeah, and like I always consider would I do a
- 38:25Speaker 4: reality game show? Because I like them so much and everything,
- 38:28Speaker 4: but there are certain things is like I'm an adul
- 38:30Speaker 4: and I can't.
- 38:32Speaker 2: I can't subject to myself to that.
- 38:34Speaker 4: I can't.
- 38:34Speaker 6: I think the only one I've survised myself as the Circle,
- 38:37Speaker 6: and that's only because I can.
- 38:42Speaker 2: Genuinely. They started an application. They're like I like to
- 38:46Speaker 2: turn the cameras on and stuff like I'll do that.
- 38:48Speaker 1: I think you should all apply to the Circle. I
- 38:50Speaker 1: think one if he gets on for show, if.
- 38:52Speaker 4: You should apply as a foursome and we should go
- 38:55Speaker 4: in and catfish the ship out of people.
- 38:58Speaker 2: The way we could run this.
- 39:00Speaker 1: You pretend to be one old mass.
- 39:01Speaker 2: The four of us is one superhuman.
- 39:03Speaker 6: We have everything.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Yeah, incredible, a hive mind. Yeah, Catfishing is one of
- 39:11Speaker 3: our husbands.
- 39:14Speaker 8: No, we just we use photos of all of them
- 39:17Speaker 8: that look similar, different photos of different guys.
- 39:21Speaker 4: In all of our albums, really proving that the same.
- 39:26Speaker 4: Just yeah, yes, they all have that match in Los
- 39:30Speaker 4: Angeles shirt we got.
- 39:36Speaker 1: I'm just going to scrap the second round and that's
- 39:38Speaker 1: your challenge.
- 39:38Speaker 5: Now is.
- 39:41Speaker 2: Silent for minutes? I got. I got an email back recently.
- 39:47Speaker 3: I forgot that I had applied for the Circle, but
- 39:49Speaker 3: I got an email back that said, you checked a
- 39:51Speaker 3: box that said that we could reach out to you
- 39:53Speaker 3: about other reality shows and would you like to apply
- 39:56Speaker 3: for Squid Game season two.
- 39:58Speaker 2: It's like, I don't think so, thank you one bit.
- 40:03Speaker 2: I think no, thank you for asking. Absolutely not. I'd
- 40:08Speaker 2: rather go and love as But again, you spend a
- 40:12Speaker 2: lot of time hanging out.
- 40:15Speaker 1: Yeah, excellent. All right, I've got one quote left for
- 40:20Speaker 1: each team, so we'll move back on over to slew.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Here is your final quote? Oh what a question. That's
- 40:26Speaker 1: a kicker. Sorry, mom, guilty is charged. I absolutely would.
- 40:31Speaker 2: I have no idea, So I'm gonna say it's on
- 40:36Speaker 2: a show and they asked would you lie to win?
- 40:46Speaker 4: I'm thinking it's gotta be a show that I haven't
- 40:52Speaker 4: fully watched, so I like Bachelor. The Golden Bachelor's there.
- 40:59Speaker 4: You're gonna have a high population of parents and that
- 41:03Speaker 4: and children that make appearances who are adults. I say
- 41:12Speaker 4: we throw it at the wall and say Bachelor, gold
- 41:15Speaker 4: Golden Bachelor.
- 41:17Speaker 1: It's not the Golden Bachelor. Okay, so no point there.
- 41:20Speaker 1: It is from the circle if.
- 41:23Speaker 2: What and I watched that a ton wait can you
- 41:26Speaker 2: read it again?
- 41:26Speaker 1: Absolutely? Oh what a question. That's a kicker. Sorry, mom,
- 41:31Speaker 1: Guilty as charged. I absolutely would.
- 41:34Speaker 4: Oh was it Madeline when she's no, I have no clue.
- 41:38Speaker 4: It had to be something sexual.
- 41:41Speaker 2: We'll say it was Madeline when whatever she was saying
- 41:43Speaker 2: that was sexual.
- 41:44Speaker 1: If you have one point for what was happening because
- 41:47Speaker 1: it was something sexual, no point for the person. It
- 41:51Speaker 1: was Kevin during the Risky Quizness thumbs up thumbs down
- 41:55Speaker 1: game on whether he would send nudes or not.
- 41:59Speaker 6: They did on the circlet, but like, sorry, mom, you're
- 42:02Speaker 6: gonna watch this later and I am yeah.
- 42:04Speaker 8: Oh, And also Kevin played the I'm a reality TV person.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Okay character, so yeah, oh yeah, it was just interesting
- 42:16Speaker 1: that as soon as nudes came up, it was like, momay, yeah, weird.
- 42:25Speaker 4: I do that.
- 42:26Speaker 1: Okay, moving back on over to the real house goats,
- 42:29Speaker 1: here's your final quote, Scott. Because this is so new
- 42:33Speaker 1: for the three of us, I would rather be involved
- 42:35Speaker 1: in this level of interaction.
- 42:40Speaker 7: You know, I don't know Scott. I'm not sure who
- 42:44Speaker 7: that is. I do not know this man, never met him.
- 42:49Speaker 7: What shows have we not talked about yet?
- 42:51Speaker 6: What was everything after the Scott? We got the Scott part.
- 42:54Speaker 6: Can you say that all our time? I was really
- 42:56Speaker 6: distracted by the scream of Scott.
- 42:58Speaker 1: Yeah, it is just you know, it is like that. Yeah,
- 43:02Speaker 1: because this is so new for the three of us,
- 43:04Speaker 1: I would rather be involved in this level of interaction.
- 43:08Speaker 7: Oh is it?
- 43:10Speaker 6: I mean there was also the Golden Bachelorette. If so,
- 43:17Speaker 6: it could be like a group date or something where
- 43:21Speaker 6: she's like talking about something and wanting to be like, oh,
- 43:25Speaker 6: you know, it's it's new for all. Actually, that might
- 43:28Speaker 6: have been in the trailer. I might say, maybe the
- 43:31Speaker 6: throw at the wall, because they threw Golden Bachelor at
- 43:33Speaker 6: the wall. Maybe you threw a Golden Bachelorette at the wall.
- 43:36Speaker 7: Yeah, we threw at the wall.
- 43:38Speaker 2: Yeah, we threw the bachelorette at the wall. Okay, it's okay.
- 43:42Speaker 2: She's in a she's in like a suit, she's in a.
- 43:45Speaker 1: Pat Okay, that's good to know. I'm not hurting an
- 43:47Speaker 1: elderly person conceptually. No, okay, this isn't Golden Bachelorette, although
- 43:54Speaker 1: I appreciate the mirror guesses of that. This is from
- 43:56Speaker 1: a couple to throttle.
- 43:58Speaker 7: Oh is the show is from you write that down?
- 44:02Speaker 2: I wrote down threesome.
- 44:05Speaker 7: See, I didn't want to assume that it was literally threesome.
- 44:09Speaker 8: I thought it was like discussing like an adjacent relationship.
- 44:14Speaker 7: You know that they're all.
- 44:17Speaker 6: It's probably about something sexual and also get a point
- 44:20Speaker 6: because that's what.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Yeah, absolutely, you can have a point for that. It
- 44:26Speaker 1: is the The actual reason is the premise of the
- 44:30Speaker 1: show is they add thirds to pre existing couples who
- 44:32Speaker 1: want to experiment with polyamorous relationships from couple to So
- 44:38Speaker 1: this is a third gives her partner a massage while
- 44:41Speaker 1: the partner watches, and she uses their safe word to
- 44:44Speaker 1: stop the interaction, and their safe word was Scott, which
- 44:47Speaker 1: is the name of one of the show's hosts, which
- 44:49Speaker 1: was just incredibly awkward for the host.
- 44:56Speaker 2: That's so beautiful, that's so good.
- 44:59Speaker 1: I'd say that's s so, that's a point.
- 45:02Speaker 6: That's hilarious.
- 45:03Speaker 4: Reality TV gives us gem after It's like it goes
- 45:08Speaker 4: too fast for us all of the moment.
- 45:10Speaker 3: Anytime I want anything to stop now, I'm just gonna say.
- 45:13Speaker 2: Scot, that's not going to doesn't have to be.
- 45:20Speaker 6: It's six of us.
- 45:27Speaker 1: Good stuff. I mean, for an extra point, you want
- 45:30Speaker 1: to guess the name of the sort of person would
- 45:33Speaker 1: have to be.
- 45:34Speaker 6: The woman because she's the one who is screaming the
- 45:37Speaker 6: or was it a home? Could have been a man,
- 45:39Speaker 6: a partner. Then I was thinking like forrest.
- 45:45Speaker 2: Or Moss.
- 45:48Speaker 8: Very so that was what I was thinking, like an
- 45:51Speaker 8: ambiguous partner who had to call the safe word Forest Moss.
- 45:57Speaker 5: I like it.
- 45:58Speaker 1: If if it had been that you honor of name,
- 46:00Speaker 1: I would have given you the point for sure. No
- 46:03Speaker 1: matter what, Corey, cause the name.
- 46:07Speaker 6: Cory like a rock. We can we can fudge our
- 46:10Speaker 6: way into this.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Their name was Quarry. Okay, that is the end of
- 46:19Speaker 1: round one. Let's ask the onset therapist to calculate the
- 46:22Speaker 1: latest scores. I should just chug a white claw and
- 46:25Speaker 1: get over myself. Okay, thanks doc. Okay, the scores are
- 46:31Speaker 1: slew or on seven points. The real house goats are
- 46:34Speaker 1: on six points. It's pretty close.
- 46:36Speaker 8: Yeah, seems pretty good for that round Yoe for not
- 46:40Speaker 8: knowing half of the things we were talking about.
- 46:45Speaker 2: A generous counter and I will receip that absolutely.
- 46:51Speaker 1: Okay, Well, up next is round two after these commercials,
- 46:54Speaker 1: and when we're back, we'll play you recaps of what
- 46:57Speaker 1: happened prior to the commercials, and before you know it's
- 46:59Speaker 1: it's time for more commercials. What a system Round two
- 47:09Speaker 1: is called Confessionals. It's the game where our players will
- 47:13Speaker 1: take turns sitting in the confession booth sharing thoughts and
- 47:17Speaker 1: feelings to the camera directly, but not their thoughts and
- 47:20Speaker 1: feelings because in turns, I will DM our players with
- 47:23Speaker 1: the name of a reality TV show, a profession, and
- 47:27Speaker 1: a reason you're talking to the camera. Then each of
- 47:30Speaker 1: our players will have up to forty five seconds to
- 47:32Speaker 1: talk directly to their camera and communicate these things without
- 47:36Speaker 1: saying any of the words in the message. Then it's
- 47:39Speaker 1: up to your teammate to guess what show you're on,
- 47:42Speaker 1: what your job is, and why you're doing the confessional
- 47:46Speaker 1: for up to three points per pass. So, for example,
- 47:49Speaker 1: if you had MTV Cribs Hollywood actor and insisting a
- 47:54Speaker 1: bit too much that you don't have a sex dungeon,
- 47:57Speaker 1: you'd say something like, oh, hey, I just wanted to
- 48:01Speaker 1: welcome people into my house. I'm often on big sets. Well, no,
- 48:06Speaker 1: I wanted to show you where the magic happened, but
- 48:08Speaker 1: not where the not where the magic happens, you know,
- 48:13Speaker 1: and something along those lines. And you can have up
- 48:15Speaker 1: to forty five seconds. You don't need to take the
- 48:17Speaker 1: full time. If your teammate is like, I've got this,
- 48:20Speaker 1: I know what it is. Okay, do we broadly get
- 48:23Speaker 1: this game? Sorry if it's a bit weird, buttely I'm
- 48:27Speaker 1: into it.
- 48:27Speaker 6: I sucked it up the last time this game happened.
- 48:31Speaker 1: So we're going to begin with Audra for Taylor. So
- 48:35Speaker 1: this is going to be Audra doing her camera confessional
- 48:38Speaker 1: for Taylor to guess those three things. Ordre, are you ready? Yes,
- 48:43Speaker 1: your time starts now.
- 48:45Speaker 3: I am just having a really rough time on the
- 48:48Speaker 3: island right now. I'm just here trying to provide good
- 48:53Speaker 3: food for the people in my tribe, and someone from
- 48:57Speaker 3: the other one is just coming over into our space.
- 49:00Speaker 3: That's not how our team treats each other. Where someone's
- 49:05Speaker 3: coming over here. Pretty sure it was Veronica. She's coming
- 49:08Speaker 3: over here. She's like, how's her grubby little myths on
- 49:12Speaker 3: our food? And I just I don't understand how she
- 49:16Speaker 3: gets away with this in the real world. Okay, like here,
- 49:20Speaker 3: we don't do that type of thing to each other.
- 49:22Speaker 3: We care about each other in our tribe. I don't
- 49:25Speaker 3: know what their problem is over there.
- 49:27Speaker 1: Okay, that's your time, all right, what do you think
- 49:30Speaker 1: of that? Taylor?
- 49:31Speaker 4: Okay, I mean amazing, amazing bit.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Thank you. So Survivor is the show, Yes.
- 49:38Speaker 1: Indeed, Survivor. That's a point.
- 49:40Speaker 4: The confessional is like when there used to be maybe
- 49:45Speaker 4: this is current, but when somebody wins a challenge, they
- 49:48Speaker 4: get to go steal something from that other tribe's list
- 49:53Speaker 4: of stuff.
- 49:54Speaker 2: So somebody is stealing something.
- 49:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I need to hail a little more about space scifically,
- 50:00Speaker 1: what's being stolen?
- 50:01Speaker 2: I could have given you more, I was, I was more.
- 50:05Speaker 4: Is this a specific reality TV moment that we're supposed
- 50:08Speaker 4: to be referencing back to?
- 50:10Speaker 1: Just this kind of a little trophy or just the
- 50:13Speaker 1: kind of thing that might happen on it.
- 50:16Speaker 2: I was more. I was more flavor than substance on
- 50:19Speaker 2: in my communication.
- 50:23Speaker 4: Okay, so my guess is then going to be that
- 50:26Speaker 4: they were stealing a pot to cook the rice in.
- 50:31Speaker 1: You said rice. I'll take it, yes, stealing rice.
- 50:34Speaker 2: They're stealing rice.
- 50:35Speaker 1: There's a point. And then yeah, the profession of Ordra's character.
- 50:40Speaker 4: She kept referencing our tribe and over here, So I'm
- 50:46Speaker 4: gonna say, an anti immigration lobbyist.
- 50:52Speaker 1: It's a great guess your profession.
- 50:57Speaker 2: I was just a chef, but I couldn't hit that
- 50:59Speaker 2: harder no food. But then that got caught up with
- 51:02Speaker 2: the food. So I was like, I get it, they're
- 51:04Speaker 2: stealing the food. I could have I could have made
- 51:09Speaker 2: them a little more differentiated. But you know, yes, you
- 51:13Speaker 2: know what.
- 51:13Speaker 4: You had it all in there, and that's impressive. I'm sorry,
- 51:16Speaker 4: I may pick up on it.
- 51:18Speaker 2: It's okay. Do they call them tribes on Survivor?
- 51:21Speaker 7: Is that a thing?
- 51:22Speaker 2: Yeah? I feel like that's I was hoping that that
- 51:25Speaker 2: was a clue to it being Survivor. Oh my god.
- 51:28Speaker 4: As soon as you said island, I was like, okay,
- 51:30Speaker 4: either deal or no deal or Survivor. And then I
- 51:32Speaker 4: was like, God, I hope it's not Love Island or
- 51:34Speaker 4: Bachelor in Paradise.
- 51:36Speaker 2: Oh gosh, too many islands, too many islands.
- 51:39Speaker 1: Oh good stuff. Yeah you got two points there for that,
- 51:42Speaker 1: two out of three. Nicely done. Yeah, moving on over
- 51:46Speaker 1: see the real house coats, Jen, I've just sent you
- 51:48Speaker 1: a message to you.
- 51:49Speaker 4: Have it?
- 51:49Speaker 6: I do.
- 51:50Speaker 2: I just giggle every time.
- 51:54Speaker 1: Okay, so are you ready?
- 51:57Speaker 2: I'm ready?
- 51:58Speaker 1: Good time stuts now.
- 52:00Speaker 6: Hey see animals. You know that's how my days started.
- 52:07Speaker 6: And in my profession, I care about your mouth.
- 52:11Speaker 2: I care about your teeth. I care about your.
- 52:14Speaker 6: Oral health, you know, and you know, you win some,
- 52:19Speaker 6: you lose some. You do your pitch and sometimes they
- 52:24Speaker 6: they just don't want you. They don't want.
- 52:28Speaker 8: Wow.
- 52:29Speaker 6: Anyways, I think I had a banger product oral health.
- 52:35Speaker 2: Get in there. What's your biggest thing in your mouth?
- 52:39Speaker 1: This guy, what's the biggest mouth?
- 52:48Speaker 2: I struggle with games where I'm not supposed to say.
- 52:50Speaker 6: Something and I'm very about a taboo or whatever. That
- 52:56Speaker 6: game is it you It's so stressful. So I was like,
- 52:59Speaker 6: really making I'm not saying.
- 53:01Speaker 2: You didn't agree.
- 53:02Speaker 1: He didn't see the words in it, So Ash, what
- 53:07Speaker 1: show was Jenn?
- 53:08Speaker 7: On Shark Tank.
- 53:11Speaker 8: It was.
- 53:13Speaker 1: Marine animals.
- 53:15Speaker 7: It's so funny.
- 53:18Speaker 2: How do you get to Shark Tank?
- 53:20Speaker 7: Just go for the pitch?
- 53:23Speaker 3: Oh?
- 53:23Speaker 1: Good stuff? And what profession?
- 53:25Speaker 7: A dentist?
- 53:26Speaker 1: It was indeed a dentist. And why was why was
- 53:30Speaker 1: Jen the dentist talking to care She had.
- 53:34Speaker 8: A failed pitch meeting with the sharks. They didn't like
- 53:38Speaker 8: her product, which had to do with this guy.
- 53:43Speaker 7: Called the tongue.
- 53:45Speaker 6: Yes, I realized I was doing a physical.
- 53:52Speaker 2: People committed to the patriarch.
- 53:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it was didn't invest in her electronic tongue scraper.
- 54:00Speaker 1: Oh but I heard tongue.
- 54:02Speaker 6: So there we go, I said, tongue and cleaner, or
- 54:05Speaker 6: I pointed to my tongue. I was like, how else
- 54:07Speaker 6: do you describe your tongue in your mouth and your
- 54:12Speaker 6: mouth in your mouth, in your mouth.
- 54:19Speaker 1: The tongue, Oh brilliant. Okay, moving back on over to
- 54:25Speaker 1: Slew it is now Taylor's turned to give a confessional
- 54:28Speaker 1: for Ordra. I am so nervous, Taylor, are you ready already? Okay,
- 54:39Speaker 1: I'll take that as you are kind of as ready
- 54:41Speaker 1: as your left for me your time thoughts.
- 54:44Speaker 4: Now, Look, I came here today because I know deep
- 54:48Speaker 4: inside I am an icon for this country, for this world.
- 54:51Speaker 4: I am an icon through day. I help the kids,
- 54:55Speaker 4: I make sure they're okay. But really, in my heart
- 54:58Speaker 4: is a song that should be heard by this nation,
- 55:02Speaker 4: many nations, but this nation specifically. And you know what,
- 55:05Speaker 4: I don't care whatever that hot British guy says.
- 55:10Speaker 2: I'm fucking good. You know, with the kids that I.
- 55:15Speaker 4: Collaborate with on a daily basis say, they say I'm
- 55:19Speaker 4: fucking good. And so I don't care what this British
- 55:21Speaker 4: loser thinks. He's not a part of our nation where
- 55:26Speaker 4: I'm an icon. Yes, we are searching that brain thesaurus.
- 55:36Speaker 1: I love the character, I love the intensity. I love
- 55:38Speaker 1: the way you started small and then.
- 55:42Speaker 2: Heightening. Yes, thank you, thank you for the feedback. I
- 55:48Speaker 2: think that Taylor was on American Idol.
- 55:51Speaker 1: It was indeed American Idol.
- 55:53Speaker 2: I think that she's a nanny or a teacher.
- 55:58Speaker 1: M close because someone else who might you, Almo, guess
- 56:02Speaker 1: someone else you might work with kids.
- 56:03Speaker 4: I'm not gonna lie. I think this is a British
- 56:06Speaker 4: thing because I thought that it was a very umbrella term. Okay,
- 56:13Speaker 4: if you say the American equivalent, I don't know what
- 56:16Speaker 4: the American equivalent is is what I'm trying to think.
- 56:20Speaker 1: Okay, okay, Oh I see, so you only conveyed life. Yeah,
- 56:25Speaker 1: all right, working with kids. I've got youth worker here,
- 56:28Speaker 1: like like a child services Yeah, specifically working with teens
- 56:32Speaker 1: and stuff like that.
- 56:33Speaker 2: Oh gotcha, gotcha? Okay me.
- 56:36Speaker 7: I was gonna say, you mean legend.
- 56:40Speaker 4: I just thought, oh, little Matt, he's trying to say
- 56:43Speaker 4: I work with kids, and I get And I.
- 56:49Speaker 2: Think Simon Cowell was particularly rude to you.
- 56:52Speaker 1: Yep, Simon Cowell thinks I can't sing. He's so wrong.
- 56:56Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 56:57Speaker 4: You know. A fun fact about me is I have
- 57:00Speaker 4: been in love with Simon cal for years.
- 57:02Speaker 5: I love it.
- 57:03Speaker 3: I was going to ask because you referred to him
- 57:06Speaker 3: as incredibly attractive, and I was like, I got to
- 57:09Speaker 3: interrogate that.
- 57:12Speaker 4: I do not get starstrug. I could interact with many,
- 57:17Speaker 4: many celebrities. If I saw Simon gl a little drool
- 57:20Speaker 4: might fall out of my mouth.
- 57:21Speaker 2: I just love that man. It's the true confessional.
- 57:24Speaker 4: Do I actually think he is like physically attractive? I
- 57:27Speaker 4: don't know, but but the way that he criticizes makes
- 57:31Speaker 4: me say, yes, I want more.
- 57:33Speaker 3: Okay, that's the good we're learning a lot about Taylor,
- 57:36Speaker 3: and I think too much.
- 57:40Speaker 2: Derek about that. I guess I don't know now soon.
- 57:46Speaker 1: Now I know why Derek always was those tight white tops. Okay,
- 57:58Speaker 1: are you ready to give your confession?
- 58:00Speaker 10: Yes?
- 58:01Speaker 7: I just got real nervous about it though, So you
- 58:03Speaker 7: got it.
- 58:04Speaker 8: It's me, It's me, Yeah, okay, you ready, Ash, Yeah,
- 58:07Speaker 8: I'm just gonna find my light really quick.
- 58:09Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yes, Oh incredible, Oh my god, I.
- 58:12Speaker 7: Thank you, thank you.
- 58:13Speaker 8: Just got to find my angle, you know, because if
- 58:16Speaker 8: I am going to be the next face of the
- 58:19Speaker 8: makeup company, then I I'm just gonna have to keep
- 58:23Speaker 8: my angles sharp and my eyes smised. Anyway, So I've
- 58:30Speaker 8: been practicing, you know, while I'm working in the air,
- 58:36Speaker 8: you know, serving the people that I have to serve.
- 58:40Speaker 8: But you can't believe. You just can't believe. We're headed
- 58:45Speaker 8: to the ocean and I didn't even bring the right outfit.
- 58:52Speaker 8: I forgot the one thing you need to get in
- 58:54Speaker 8: the water. Okay, it's fine. I think I'll be able
- 58:57Speaker 8: to pull through it if I keep just keep my
- 58:59Speaker 8: head up and find my angles.
- 59:03Speaker 1: Beautifully done, you found those angles, Thank you, Thank you. Okay, Jen,
- 59:09Speaker 1: what what do you think.
- 59:11Speaker 6: What show is as America's Next Top Model? It is.
- 59:14Speaker 1: Indeed, America's next up model is me.
- 59:17Speaker 2: Deep Me and Ashlore.
- 59:19Speaker 6: When we lived together, we would just sit on Saturday
- 59:21Speaker 6: mornings and watch America's Next Top Model together all the time,
- 59:23Speaker 6: effect cuddled under a blanket together in the air.
- 59:28Speaker 2: But you're not you're not driving the plane. You're stewarding
- 59:32Speaker 2: your stewardess.
- 59:33Speaker 1: Quite attention, Yes, definitely, yeah.
- 59:35Speaker 6: Whatever we're calling it.
- 59:37Speaker 5: And then.
- 59:39Speaker 6: We are going on we're going to the ocean. I'm
- 59:43Speaker 6: assuming like we're going to a photo shoot and we
- 59:46Speaker 6: don't have what we need. We're going on a go
- 59:48Speaker 6: seet and we don't have what we need. We're not
- 59:51Speaker 6: going to a challenge. And you forgot your bathing suit.
- 59:53Speaker 2: Some there we go of that definitely.
- 59:55Speaker 1: It's it's beach week and she forgot her bikini. Classic,
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: classic multi problem.
- 1:00:02Speaker 8: It really does happen to them somehow, because you're supposed
- 1:00:05Speaker 8: to just carry that around.
- 1:00:06Speaker 6: We're supposed to always have a tight white tank top
- 1:00:10Speaker 6: hair tie.
- 1:00:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Oh, fantastically done. Everyone did amazing in that round.
- 1:00:20Speaker 1: Those are some incredible confession.
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: Straight to cam and we're yeah, ready, you should have
- 1:00:26Speaker 6: I've had to keep catching them doing a state to
- 1:00:30Speaker 6: cam and the hallway bathroom on the Girls Trip, I
- 1:00:32Speaker 6: was like, girls, we can't all be.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: Doing that a confessional now, we should have done that.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: We should have I was just going to say, next Girl's,
- 1:00:41Speaker 3: next Girl's Trip, we should set up like a go
- 1:00:44Speaker 3: pro in a room if we ever go in and
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: do confession.
- 1:00:48Speaker 2: That's so funny.
- 1:00:49Speaker 7: We have to do that.
- 1:00:50Speaker 2: Yeah, next Girls Trip, make it a ride off for
- 1:00:53Speaker 2: date leapers.
- 1:00:54Speaker 1: Yeah, that's challenge. Actually, okay, that is the end of
- 1:01:00Speaker 1: the round. Let's see if we can forage for the
- 1:01:02Speaker 1: latest scores. Oh, chicken of the words. Oh it's all
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: tied up. Both teams are on twelve points.
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: Wo ah wow.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: Okay. Round three next after these ads where a c
- 1:01:16Speaker 1: list Kardashian cousin sells you a subscription box you don't need.
- 1:01:27Speaker 1: Round three is our version of a classic reality show game,
- 1:01:31Speaker 1: and it's called Scavenger. Will I will censor that, by
- 1:01:37Speaker 1: the way, that will be censored.
- 1:01:38Speaker 2: I have to tell you that that got That got Chris.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: I said, I have to tell you what Matt, and
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: I said it and he like almost at the spectake, so.
- 1:01:51Speaker 1: Excellent. That's my only goal. So they're always doing scavenger
- 1:01:57Speaker 1: hunts on reality TV, so I thought in this game,
- 1:02:00Speaker 1: I will ask both teams a trivia question with a
- 1:02:03Speaker 1: one word answer and without saying the answer allowed. One
- 1:02:08Speaker 1: person from that team must go on a scavenger hunt
- 1:02:10Speaker 1: around their house to find an item most associated with
- 1:02:15Speaker 1: that word. While you're off hunting, I'll discuss what the
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: actual answer could be with your remaining teammates, and when
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: you're back, you must justify why you brought back the
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: item you did, and you get a point if your
- 1:02:26Speaker 1: item is related to the correct answer, and I'll hand
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: out a bonus point per question to the team who
- 1:02:31Speaker 1: chose the best item, and maybe also some bonus points
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: for managing to bullshit and obviously incorrect it. So I
- 1:02:39Speaker 1: guess first and foremost, would each team like to nominate
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: who is going to go scavenge for this first question?
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: I'm excited to move. I want to go scavenge.
- 1:02:49Speaker 5: Go for it?
- 1:02:49Speaker 1: Nice also. Okay, so we're going to start with Taylor
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: and Ash. No discussing the answers. Just think what the
- 1:02:57Speaker 1: answer might be in your head. Probably gonna be pretty obvious,
- 1:02:59Speaker 1: given we've discussed this already in the Bachelor franchise's latest
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: spinoff series, what word is used in the show title
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: to denote the age of the contestants?
- 1:03:10Speaker 7: Wait, so do we go at the same time?
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: You both go look for a n item.
- 1:03:14Speaker 7: I was like, I think I'm supposed to move.
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I think it's just Taylor had something within arms feet.
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: I don't know what's happening. Okay, I'll be back.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Okay, we'll see this. How Taylor already has righte I
- 1:03:27Speaker 1: think we can discuss what we think the answer is.
- 1:03:29Speaker 6: The Golden Ticket, Golden Bachelor, It's golden something goal. That's
- 1:03:37Speaker 6: just such an interesting form point. Let's just talk about that.
- 1:03:41Speaker 6: Given the show doesn't have a very high success rate,
- 1:03:45Speaker 6: and we're already seeing the same success rate in the
- 1:03:48Speaker 6: Golden series, I'm pretty sure the Bachelor broke up with
- 1:03:53Speaker 6: his chosen person.
- 1:03:55Speaker 2: Three months later. Of course, it's wild.
- 1:03:58Speaker 3: Honestly, I feel like The Bachelor's should have a higher
- 1:04:00Speaker 3: success rate because it basically puts you in a dating
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: pool of like similar age.
- 1:04:06Speaker 2: And best success rate.
- 1:04:07Speaker 6: Bachelor in Paradise, you put people on an island and
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: let them actually hang out and then make them do
- 1:04:12Speaker 6: format points of forming drama they actually there's a higher
- 1:04:16Speaker 6: success rate. Put me out of Paris.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: It's just like too much pressure on one person to
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: carry the show. But when it's spread amongst everybody, you
- 1:04:23Speaker 4: can be a human. Yeah, and fall in love as
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: a human.
- 1:04:27Speaker 1: Okay, welcome back to Scavenges. Taylor will start with you
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: because you seem to grab your eye. I'm pretty fast.
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: What did you think the answer to this question was?
- 1:04:35Speaker 4: You know, I was really excited to get up and move,
- 1:04:37Speaker 4: but there was a really clear answer and it was
- 1:04:39Speaker 4: sitting right in front of me. And as it always is,
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: as it always is, we have the Golden Bachelor, as
- 1:04:46Speaker 4: we all know, and so I've got an extra point.
- 1:04:49Speaker 4: Here's what I'm looking for. I'm looking for that bonus point.
- 1:04:52Speaker 4: I do have a golden frame, and that is sufficient
- 1:04:56Speaker 4: to answer it's quest.
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: Shit, that's that's Golden's that's going to be a point.
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: You know what's the real gold in life? Stop familial love.
- 1:05:06Speaker 4: For the listener, I am holding a picture frame with
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: a photo of me and my daughter, who is Angel Angel.
- 1:05:16Speaker 2: She is beyond this world.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: So if Matt does not give me a bonus point,
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: he is taking a bonus point from that beautiful two
- 1:05:23Speaker 4: year old.
- 1:05:24Speaker 8: But I also want to say that if you give
- 1:05:25Speaker 8: her a bonus point for having a kid, it feels
- 1:05:28Speaker 8: like you're punishing me for not having a kid.
- 1:05:32Speaker 1: A tight rope the reality.
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: I'll just pull it up here and then I'll let
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: you make the decision.
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: Matt.
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: Okay, Okay, it needs to Rebuttal, I'll at least be
- 1:05:44Speaker 1: fair and offer ash her item. What did you bring?
- 1:05:48Speaker 8: Oh, because it was golden Bachelor, I brought a golden chicken.
- 1:06:00Speaker 1: Obviously you've got the point. For golden you knew the
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: answer was golden. Oh, now okay. For familiar love, the
- 1:06:08Speaker 1: love between a mother and daughter.
- 1:06:11Speaker 7: I just want to say that it is. It's a
- 1:06:13Speaker 7: book end, so you know it's it's weighted. It's here
- 1:06:16Speaker 7: to like represent like, you.
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: Know, just holding you up in life you're feeling a
- 1:06:22Speaker 8: little heavy or a little you know, you're falling down.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: I'm gonna say you're not the one who has to
- 1:06:28Speaker 1: do the convincing here. That's a hilarious chicken.
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: You already have the golden chicken. The moment you had it,
- 1:06:35Speaker 2: I lost it. I was like, my two year old
- 1:06:39Speaker 2: just lost the game. And now she's pitching it like.
- 1:06:44Speaker 5: It out.
- 1:06:46Speaker 1: I'm gonna it's on theme with the chicken. I'm going
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: to chicken out here and give you both a bonus
- 1:06:51Speaker 1: point because I think they're both great.
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: Feminism.
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: I love it, love it bullied him into.
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: The Kay, That's what it's all about.
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: Okay, are you ready for the question? Gonna switch skeleng Yes, yes, Okay,
- 1:07:12Speaker 1: here is your question. In shows like Alone and Outlast,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: what it's frequently referred to as the most dangerous animal
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: that contestants could encounter.
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: A man in the woods.
- 1:07:27Speaker 7: Literally was going to say the same thing. I was,
- 1:07:29Speaker 7: like another contestant.
- 1:07:36Speaker 1: The woods. So what do we what do we think
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: the answer is to this?
- 1:07:42Speaker 4: I haven't seen either of these, but I would assume
- 1:07:44Speaker 4: a bear.
- 1:07:45Speaker 1: That's that's what I've got written down here.
- 1:07:47Speaker 8: Moose, because honestly, a moose would be a terrifying thing
- 1:07:51Speaker 8: to see when you're alone in the woods.
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: I mean, yeah, I'm fucked up against the moose or yeah, yeah,
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: those antlers of mine.
- 1:08:00Speaker 1: It's it's a fantastic choice. We'll just wait for Ultra
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: to get back.
- 1:08:03Speaker 4: I like to imagine her just right now in your
- 1:08:06Speaker 4: guys' family room, turning in circles, being.
- 1:08:09Speaker 7: Like, okay, here it is okay.
- 1:08:16Speaker 1: Welcome back, scavengers, Jen, you you got back first. Would
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: you like to share your item that you've scavenged?
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: Yeah, so the worst thing for someone to find and
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: this very affectionately named Bear for most of his life.
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: Also like white guy, you know, like.
- 1:08:39Speaker 2: The wood, white man like you.
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: You don't want to come across either.
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: No bonus point for bringing.
- 1:08:47Speaker 7: To It's literally the thing we discussed.
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: It's me. I'm the one to murder you in the woods,
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: either in Bear or White I form perform.
- 1:09:05Speaker 1: Oh that's fantastic. I mean, obviously the point for the
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: correct answer that absolutely it was.
- 1:09:11Speaker 6: There was no other there's no other answer in my
- 1:09:13Speaker 6: house than to go run to Chris in the bathroom
- 1:09:17Speaker 6: going please hurry up.
- 1:09:20Speaker 2: It's fine. I cut it off mid stream. I'm all good,
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: I'll survive.
- 1:09:29Speaker 6: Really, he's gonna go take Marabell and get out of here.
- 1:09:37Speaker 6: But that is who I brought.
- 1:09:38Speaker 1: Yeah, that that is fantastic, Jen, And I'm trying to
- 1:09:41Speaker 1: buy time for dra as she furiously looks for and
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: what item you brought?
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: I brought this poke a ball.
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: You cannot see it, but inside there is an urserrag
- 1:09:56Speaker 3: it's number two seventeen, and it's definitely in here.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: It's a bear.
- 1:10:03Speaker 1: All right, I'm going to give you a point for
- 1:10:05Speaker 1: the correct answer because you understood that it was bear.
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: Is that why you were shouting to seventeen earlier?
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: Yes, it's because I genuinely was spiraling in a crisis
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: that I was going insane because we have so many
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: fucking Pokemon binders and they're all organized differently, and there's
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: one that is supposed to be from like starting it
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: the first one, just going through and I kept going
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: through the pages, going through the pages, and none of
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: them had two seventeen.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Jesus Christ.
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: Yeah, there wasn't just Uldra having a mental breakdown.
- 1:10:47Speaker 10: No, that's going to be after the fucking at the
- 1:10:51Speaker 10: So the bonus point is going to go to Jen
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: for yeah, her bear incredible for the real house goats.
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: There we go. Do you want to go scavenging?
- 1:11:03Speaker 5: Eah?
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: Do you want to uh run a scavenging? Okay, we
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: are going to swap scavengers again.
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: Yes, because I didn't get to move the first time.
- 1:11:13Speaker 1: Yeah, yes, we'll try and get you to do for
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: this one. Yes, Okay, here it is. I have to
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: love the great British Bakeoff or the King will hang
- 1:11:21Speaker 1: me for treason? But what is the surname of the
- 1:11:24Speaker 1: host who offers handshakes?
- 1:11:27Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:11:29Speaker 7: Nice?
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: Nice.
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: I love the.
- 1:11:32Speaker 6: Edition of the food That's why I liked the goat.
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: I will vamp for you if you want to use
- 1:11:36Speaker 6: any of this content. I appreciate it for the goat
- 1:11:39Speaker 6: that they added someone from a Food Network reality TV
- 1:11:42Speaker 6: show because as someone who grew up on HGTV and
- 1:11:45Speaker 6: Food Network competition shows.
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: That were all just reality TV shows.
- 1:11:49Speaker 6: Yes, and also Bakeoff, obviously, I appreciated the foray into
- 1:11:54Speaker 6: the Food Network that they gave.
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Scavengers, welcome back, Ash returned. First, what items
- 1:12:01Speaker 1: did you bring?
- 1:12:02Speaker 7: Yes?
- 1:12:03Speaker 8: So, because Paul Hollywood is such a star, I thought
- 1:12:07Speaker 8: Hollywood Dollywood.
- 1:12:13Speaker 7: Would Dolly done.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I like the connection Hollywood to Dollywood right in my spirit.
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: Good.
- 1:12:25Speaker 6: You know there's bunting all over that tent.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: So yeah, yeah, that is really great.
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: I love that so much. I'm not in your household.
- 1:12:36Speaker 8: Oh it's usually hanging up, but right now it we
- 1:12:41Speaker 8: move some stuff around, so we have to find a
- 1:12:43Speaker 8: new spot for her, is what I'm saying.
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: Because my cats were chewing on it happened to Dolly.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: Okay and Taylor, what did you bring?
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: Tacking on to earlier the plugging of pulleying of the
- 1:12:57Speaker 4: heart strings. As you all know, I live in Los Angeles.
- 1:13:02Speaker 4: I live close to Hollywood, and here, right here, I
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: have a box of my dog's ashes because she died
- 1:13:10Speaker 4: in Hollywood.
- 1:13:13Speaker 7: Why would you bring Bella into this?
- 1:13:16Speaker 6: I saw that box and I said, those are ashes
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: like in my head. I was like, that is what
- 1:13:21Speaker 6: the box looks like. That remisses it like.
- 1:13:24Speaker 10: This I had.
- 1:13:28Speaker 4: I had a California book that has like a whole
- 1:13:31Speaker 4: Hollywood page. And she was like, here, use Juni's kids book.
- 1:13:34Speaker 4: And I said, or Bella died in Hollywood.
- 1:13:38Speaker 2: Used Bella. And he was like, use Bella.
- 1:13:41Speaker 6: So in the first round she's Judy, and then the
- 1:13:43Speaker 6: second round she used Bella.
- 1:13:45Speaker 2: I know how here it's get ahead through the heart strings.
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: Make something. If you can make them feel something, you're
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: in it. You'll never lose.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: Let me just check in with how my heart strings
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: are feeling.
- 1:14:00Speaker 5: Okay tugged upon to add, if I need to, I
- 1:14:05Speaker 5: have a Paul, if you will.
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: I was leaning both towards your right a mesh for
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: the for the Hollywood Dollywood connection. Well, at the same time, Taylor,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I'm I'm obviously sorry for your loss just because of
- 1:14:28Speaker 1: the location of the death. I don't know I was connected.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: If if his name was Paul dead Dog, then absolutely.
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: Don't say that.
- 1:14:40Speaker 8: Sorry.
- 1:14:40Speaker 2: Oh god, he's gonna hear you right there. Here's the thing.
- 1:14:45Speaker 4: Here's the thing, and I think we can draw a
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: parallel here to reality TV. There are different methods to
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: playing games, and what you might call mine is dirty.
- 1:14:54Speaker 4: And what mean from you is that you don't like
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: the dirty tricks.
- 1:15:01Speaker 1: You clearly don't know me very well.
- 1:15:06Speaker 2: I am surprised.
- 1:15:10Speaker 1: Oh no, that was that was fantastic. I totally see
- 1:15:14Speaker 1: how it was related. But because I did the points
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: to both of you last time, I'm saying just point
- 1:15:19Speaker 1: a point for Ash at that time. But very that's
- 1:15:21Speaker 1: good gate Leapers. You did very good gate Leapers. Okay,
- 1:15:25Speaker 1: let's have one final question and one final scavenger hunt
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: for Jen and order to go find some items. Here
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: is your final question on Rupol's drag race. What kind
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: of drop is regularly performed while contestants are lip syncing
- 1:15:40Speaker 1: for their lives?
- 1:15:41Speaker 6: Okay, I need to travel in my home.
- 1:15:43Speaker 2: So that's my take a little.
- 1:15:45Speaker 1: Yeah, you can't do anything good.
- 1:15:51Speaker 2: I don't know the answer to this.
- 1:15:52Speaker 7: Is it death drop?
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, we're looking for death which actually that last one
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: tailor that was, But I.
- 1:16:01Speaker 2: Would have known, I would have tried to do the
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: splits for good.
- 1:16:08Speaker 1: That would have been content.
- 1:16:10Speaker 9: You know.
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: Definitely got some items there.
- 1:16:13Speaker 7: Oh she got a stack again.
- 1:16:15Speaker 2: I know what I'm doing with these though.
- 1:16:20Speaker 1: Okay, okay, scavengers just running around your reality TV mentioned.
- 1:16:33Speaker 2: Oh yeah, totally worhouse my fellow.
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Aldrey, you made it back first? What I
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: am of you? Scavenged?
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: I have two books that are about death. In the
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: Secret Diary of Laura Palmer, it's from Twin Peaks. She
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: died and they are investigating her death. And I also
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: have the Deathly Hallows is also about fantastic. Would you
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: suggest both reads?
- 1:17:04Speaker 2: This is a lot. Yeah, yeah, I'm not gonna lie.
- 1:17:08Speaker 2: I'm not reading that. It's traumatic as fuck. I'm gonna
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: be real.
- 1:17:14Speaker 3: The shows Twin Peaks, like the original in the Return,
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: absolutely recommend, even like the ancillary books of like investigation
- 1:17:23Speaker 3: stuff recommend.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: I also think it's fucked up that that's written by
- 1:17:26Speaker 1: his daughter as well. But that's just the side. But
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: this isn't the Twin Peaks episode. Tune in the January.
- 1:17:32Speaker 7: Yes, I love it. Wait so I have to watch
- 1:17:35Speaker 7: it all before then?
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah, that's the homework. Those are some
- 1:17:41Speaker 1: death books I love there. There are some death books. Well, Jen,
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: what did you scavenge?
- 1:17:46Speaker 6: I had to honorable mention because I mentioned him, but
- 1:17:49Speaker 6: this is remiss who passed away just But the real
- 1:17:53Speaker 6: thing I scavenge was the death card, which is also
- 1:17:55Speaker 6: a bad omen.
- 1:17:57Speaker 2: I had a neck behind me, but.
- 1:18:00Speaker 6: Also rings in the end of a cycle. So we're
- 1:18:02Speaker 6: almost to December, we're opening winter. The seasons are in
- 1:18:06Speaker 6: death right now are about to be and so you
- 1:18:10Speaker 6: can't see it because it's holographic, but it is the
- 1:18:12Speaker 6: death part.
- 1:18:13Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a great death as well.
- 1:18:17Speaker 6: Thumb through my deck is shuffled, so I was like,
- 1:18:20Speaker 6: trying to find.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: Bring me death. Your hands are shaking.
- 1:18:28Speaker 7: Might want to cleanse after this.
- 1:18:32Speaker 2: Shuffle and cleanse at my deck? Very reasonable.
- 1:18:37Speaker 1: Oh that's so good. These are both really good. That
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: both death death drop was the answer death well death
- 1:18:43Speaker 1: to fill in the blank, I think, just to make
- 1:18:47Speaker 1: things interesting. Keep the skulls pretty balanced. And because old
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: your boat brought two items instead of ones.
- 1:18:54Speaker 3: In a reference to an upcoming episode, Brock to us,
- 1:18:57Speaker 3: if you haven't scrushed wants play get it?
- 1:19:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I really like, not heartstrings promotion.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I should have known it all along. That's what
- 1:19:09Speaker 2: Matt's about.
- 1:19:12Speaker 1: I'm so good at promotion. Okay, that is the end
- 1:19:15Speaker 1: of round three. Let's cut to a heartwarming scene with
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: everyone's friends and families while I calculate the latest scores.
- 1:19:22Speaker 1: And those scores are secret lives of evangelical of exvangelical wives.
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: Thank you, thank you, not evangelical X. That's a different shows.
- 1:19:35Speaker 1: You are on eighteen points wooooooo, but the real house
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: goats are on nineteen points.
- 1:19:43Speaker 6: Survivor.
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: I'm a fighter. I can overcome this with Yes, We've
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: got this.
- 1:19:50Speaker 1: Okay. Before we get to the quick fire around, let's
- 1:19:53Speaker 1: talk prizes. This episode's star prize is the concept of reality,
- 1:19:57Speaker 1: which is often too much to handle, so we escape
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: into fake things like reality TV. But our winning team
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: will also receive Taylor's dogs ashes.
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: We will bring it home for you.
- 1:20:15Speaker 1: Up next is our crucial elimination round. That's right, not
- 1:20:19Speaker 1: quick fire elimination. Can mom talks survive this? Find out
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: when we return. Okay, So for this episode, our final
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: round will not be quick fire. If anything, it will
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: be slow fire. You've made your alliances, but how strong
- 1:20:44Speaker 1: do you think they are? You've played as a team.
- 1:20:47Speaker 1: But in the reality TV episode, we can only have
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: one winner in this game. We're going to have a
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: series of vote offs where everyone will write down the
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: name of the player they would like to eliminate.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: They're so lucky, we're best friends.
- 1:21:05Speaker 1: And after each round, the player with the most votes
- 1:21:08Speaker 1: will be eliminated, and if there's a tie, I'll cast
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: the deciding vote based on the wins.
- 1:21:19Speaker 6: We're voting to eliminate survivor the vote style not voting
- 1:21:23Speaker 6: to keep.
- 1:21:25Speaker 1: Us, Yes, voting to eliminate the name of the person
- 1:21:27Speaker 1: you want to send home. However, you don't score points
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: for any of that stuff. You score points for how
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: dramatic your elimination speech is. Okay, and I will add
- 1:21:41Speaker 1: those points to your original team total, so we can
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: actually have an individual winner and a team winner at
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: the end of the game. So hopefully lots of winners. Yay.
- 1:21:50Speaker 1: If you are eliminated First, I would like you to
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: do it in the style of someone who gets eliminated
- 1:21:54Speaker 1: first from a reality TV show. If you are eliminated, second,
- 1:21:58Speaker 1: I would like you to do it in the style
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: of someone who feel as though they've been betrayed and
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: ganged up on. If you are eliminated, third, it will
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: be in the style of a runner up on a
- 1:22:06Speaker 1: reality TV show. And if you win, if you're the
- 1:22:09Speaker 1: last contestant standing, in the style of someone who was won. Okay,
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: let's begin with our first vote off. If all of
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: our players could write down the name of the person
- 1:22:18Speaker 1: they would like to eliminate.
- 1:22:20Speaker 6: Oh, so, like, no prompt, just eliminating.
- 1:22:23Speaker 2: Just eliminating, and you can't vote for yourself.
- 1:22:26Speaker 1: Well, you can write down the name of any player,
- 1:22:27Speaker 1: That's all.
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: I'm going to say.
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: And the criteria for selection is oh the criteria for
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: points is how dramatic your speech is.
- 1:22:37Speaker 2: Yeah, so we're just voting someone off right now.
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: Okay, does everyone have a name written down for who
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: they would like to eliminate? Yes, okay, Odra, We'll start
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: with you. Who are you eliminating and why?
- 1:22:48Speaker 3: First and foremost, this is a media property, So I
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: voted for the person who I think would do the best.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: I got voted out first speech, and I think that
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: is apt you do the best. I got voted out first.
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: How dare okay? We have one vote for Ash?
- 1:23:06Speaker 2: Ash?
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: Who did you vote for?
- 1:23:09Speaker 8: It's truly funny that Adra thought I would do a
- 1:23:12Speaker 8: better I got voted off for a speech.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: I just voted for Oldra. That's a one vote piece
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: for Ash and Oldra. Taylor, who have you voted off?
- 1:23:26Speaker 2: Look?
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: This hurts me to do. It hurts me deeply. And
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: if I could put my name down, I would, but
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: I can't. And we came into this game together and
- 1:23:38Speaker 4: we're going to have to leave this boy apart.
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, Taylor has betrayed the Slew alliance and
- 1:23:47Speaker 1: has voted for Audra.
- 1:23:48Speaker 7: I mean so mad?
- 1:23:57Speaker 1: And Jen, who did you vote for?
- 1:23:58Speaker 5: IM?
- 1:23:59Speaker 2: So sorry?
- 1:23:59Speaker 6: You're just always here? And frankly, the host is your
- 1:24:03Speaker 6: husband's so I think there's so Hebritism.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: God, this is take it away. This is ridiculous.
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: I think honestly, I just came into this game with
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: too much confidence and too much capabilities. I should have
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: shielded the skill and knowledge that I had in this space.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: And then everyone wouldn't have been so threatened by me,
- 1:24:30Speaker 3: and then they wouldn't have voted me off first. Honestly,
- 1:24:33Speaker 3: that that is on me, but it's also even more
- 1:24:36Speaker 3: so on that.
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Excellent stuff. Just the absolute energy of the person's has
- 1:24:44Speaker 1: been who's got who's gone first? And you were kind
- 1:24:47Speaker 1: of betrayed a little bit.
- 1:24:49Speaker 7: So I loved it.
- 1:24:51Speaker 5: It was so fun.
- 1:24:52Speaker 1: I'm gonna I'm gonna throw a good few points on
- 1:24:55Speaker 1: your team score there.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 1:24:57Speaker 1: Okay, we only have three players remaining and that can
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: be only one winner, So Ash, Taylor, Jen, can you
- 1:25:03Speaker 1: please write down another name? We need to eliminate another player. Okay,
- 1:25:09Speaker 1: do you all have a name written down? Yeah?
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: I already wrote it down. I have to stick with it.
- 1:25:16Speaker 1: I'm curious. Let's start with you, Taylor, who are you
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: voting to eliminate?
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: Everybody knows you want to take somebody to the end
- 1:25:24Speaker 4: that you think you can be. And I don't think
- 1:25:27Speaker 4: I can beat this person in the end.
- 1:25:30Speaker 2: Okay, that's the reality that the ultimate.
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: Absolutely And Jen did who did you vote for?
- 1:25:43Speaker 6: However she chooses to vote, Ash will be my writer
- 1:25:47Speaker 6: die from day one.
- 1:25:48Speaker 2: So we gotta get out the rest.
- 1:25:49Speaker 6: Of the competition.
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: Wow, that's a vote for.
- 1:25:57Speaker 7: Right, let's get it.
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: It's a complement. Okay, here's the thing.
- 1:26:06Speaker 4: I think I heard Ash writing Taylor down, and I
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: think I see the writing on the wall here.
- 1:26:14Speaker 7: Well, see, I chose this person.
- 1:26:17Speaker 8: I chose to vote this person, you know, out of
- 1:26:19Speaker 8: the game because I just really didn't think they had
- 1:26:22Speaker 8: it in them, you know, to make it to the end.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Oh my goodness, that is a vote a piece for
- 1:26:37Speaker 1: all of the players.
- 1:26:38Speaker 9: Because Ash wrote her own name another blind side. I
- 1:26:44Speaker 9: betrayed myself, queen the twists.
- 1:26:49Speaker 1: That turns the drama, and it's the deciding vote. I
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: think I'm going to honor that drama and say, Ash,
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: you are the person who is eliminated from this competition.
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: Can you now give a leaving speech as though you've
- 1:27:02Speaker 1: been betrayed, which you have by yourself.
- 1:27:06Speaker 8: You know, I came in here with the person I
- 1:27:09Speaker 8: thought I trusted most. You know what, it's always the
- 1:27:15Speaker 8: ones you trust most that you just tray. You in
- 1:27:18Speaker 8: the end.
- 1:27:21Speaker 7: Come out.
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: Beautiful. I'm tearing up.
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: Oh, so many points, so many points. Someone get this
- 1:27:35Speaker 1: contestant of therapist.
- 1:27:40Speaker 2: Asking them more questions.
- 1:27:42Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, look we're having fun. This is this is
- 1:27:49Speaker 1: a lot of fun, but we're here for the wrong reasons,
- 1:27:53Speaker 1: the wrong reasons, and we still have two contestants.
- 1:27:57Speaker 6: Left, so that it always was meant to come down to.
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: Yeah, of course it was gonna end Waywouses.
- 1:28:06Speaker 1: It is Taylor versus Jen. Would you like to each
- 1:28:09Speaker 1: write down the name of someone you would like to eliminate?
- 1:28:14Speaker 1: Remembering that at this point it falls apart if it
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: was a real competition, because you would just vote for
- 1:28:19Speaker 1: each other and it would be a tie, and that's it.
- 1:28:21Speaker 3: There there is an element. There is an element in
- 1:28:24Speaker 3: this of which of the prompts would you prefer? Which
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: of the you would do better? Is an element of strategy.
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: Thank you for saving the game.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: Yes, there's there's another level.
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: There's another angle here. Okay, I think some names being
- 1:28:39Speaker 1: written down? Jen, would you like to reveal who you
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: would like to eliminate?
- 1:28:44Speaker 6: Eliminating you? Matt, I want your job.
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: I think my reality TV trajectory is post.
- 1:28:54Speaker 7: So I'm limiting you, all right, that's true.
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: I'm so sorry. Fair enough, Taylor Cannice.
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: Remember who the real enemy is?
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: Right, Well, I guess I'm eliminated.
- 1:29:14Speaker 2: Welcome to gate Leapers. It's my show.
- 1:29:16Speaker 5: Now.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: This was all we needed for Andre to take over game.
- 1:29:28Speaker 2: They never betrayed me.
- 1:29:29Speaker 7: It was all.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: We had to get you out so I can get
- 1:29:33Speaker 2: him out.
- 1:29:34Speaker 7: Yes, yes, very completed plan.
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: For the first time ever a female alliance works.
- 1:29:44Speaker 1: Oh god, that's fantastic. So obviously I'm eliminated. And for
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: the sake of the reality show format, both won. You
- 1:29:52Speaker 1: both win the individual competition, you've won as a collective.
- 1:29:56Speaker 1: You started out on different alliances and then you came
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: together become the real enemy.
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: The only way I'd ever.
- 1:30:05Speaker 1: But for the sake of scoring some points for your team,
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: would one of you like to give the runner up
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: speech and one if you like to give the victory speech.
- 1:30:13Speaker 6: I would happily give the runner up speech. Okay, way
- 1:30:17Speaker 6: to your seed, Taylor. I know that I can go
- 1:30:19Speaker 6: out having played a really good game, and you know,
- 1:30:24Speaker 6: in a world where I can end this game usurping
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: the leader, the host, you know, take that goddamn ornate
- 1:30:35Speaker 6: jacket off his.
- 1:30:36Speaker 2: Shoulders and say this is our show.
- 1:30:39Speaker 6: That's my win, Okay, and I'm going to take that.
- 1:30:43Speaker 6: I'm going to run with that, and this is going
