- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Right, we're gonna start with a a double case of sad news and then we're gonna be uplifted later on.
- 0:06SPEAKER_00: But first Skip Penrith Billy Yeah Billy Williams, yeah.
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: Um just seen it on uh uh online last night, shocked to be honest.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: Um just just a really, really great fella.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Um Penrith chairman, he's been there for years and years.
- 0:23SPEAKER_01: He's not just well thought of in Penrith, he's well thought of in the in the county, so it's gonna be a huge miss.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, I mean I I I didn't have really much to do with Penrith.
- 0:33SPEAKER_01: I was there for a brief spell, but every time I've gone with different teams, he's he's very welcoming, he's always got a smile on his face, plenty of crack and that.
- 0:39SPEAKER_01: Just a real brilliant setup.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: The Hopper does Burger Van, the 3G, the four five G, whatever it is.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: He's always very accommodating and yeah, just listen, it's just a brilliant bloke, a brilliant football bloke, but just a brilliant man.
- 0:51SPEAKER_01: And and you've just seen uh the condolences pouring in for him and rightly so and and uh yeah, just saddened.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: And these clubs do not run without people like no they don't, they don't.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: Um and I'm sure I'm sure Penrith will carry on, but that's probably the that's that's nowhere near the top of the list yet.
- 1:06SPEAKER_01: It's just it's it's just happened and it's very, very sad news and and condolences to his to his family and and and friends.
- 1:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, definitely.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: We'll we'll probably have a bit more on what the crack is later later in the uh next episode when but as you say it just condolences after condolences which shows you the mark of the bloke and then a hero of probably ours, not his Kevin Keegan, yeah, legend of the game, isn't he?
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Absolute legend.
- 1:31SPEAKER_00: I've seen a good quote today off someone, uh one of Newcastle fans outside the ground.
- 1:35SPEAKER_00: He said he was the first transition of like celebrity footballer, right?
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: Because he brought a song out and then he went to Germany, yeah, and it was like a hamburg kind of the kind of like a maradona, I think.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: A napia, I think.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: Two ballon d'or as well.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: I will talk about that.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Two ballon d'or.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: Two men, not just one, two, two ballonders.
- 1:52SPEAKER_01: I seen a I seen an interview for him from last night, just on there was loads of clips online and stuff like that.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: And he said about himself, I must be the most ordinary player to ever win the Ballon d'Or.
- 2:01SPEAKER_00: I thought, how humble is that?
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: He worked his apps, he was far from ordinary, was he?
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I remember Keith Gillespie signed in that deal, you know, where Andy Cole went to Man New for six million, Keith Gillespie came for a million, and Keith Gillespie was unreal.
- 2:14SPEAKER_00: And I remember his debut or something, or he scored two in about the 89th minute.
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: This is you know, there was never subs then, was it?
- 2:21SPEAKER_00: If you're coming off, you were gutted, yeah.
- 2:22SPEAKER_00: Uh you'd only make it for a tactical or an injury, and he was blown and like considering he's like an 18-year-old kid flying.
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: He went, get back, or you're fucking coming off.
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: So he's like, No, you bought that, but uh he could be ruthless back in the day when he was younger at Newcastle.
- 2:40SPEAKER_00: He had to be though.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: He walked out, you know.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: So we won.
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: I think it would be Bristol City on his first game, and he walked out, and no one really knew this.
- 2:48SPEAKER_00: And they got promised like money to buy a couple of players, and then Sir John Hall went, nah, you'll be alright.
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Because the one, because he went, nah.
- 2:56SPEAKER_00: So that him and Terry McDermott, and Terry McDermott's going, listen, are you sure?
- 2:59SPEAKER_00: He went, I'm done.
- 3:00SPEAKER_00: And then Sir John Hall like shit it and rang on and says, Right, I'll give you a bit of door.
- 3:05SPEAKER_00: But that Newcastle were always everyone's second favourite team, weren't they?
- 3:10SPEAKER_01: Especially when he was in charge, yeah, because of all the the the way they used to play.
- 3:13SPEAKER_01: I mean, obviously I signed at a four-in and I looked, I I mean I should I he was in charge when I signed, but I never I never had any any dealings with him.
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: But when you when you talk about hero stairs in that city, he's right at the top of the list, isn't he?
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: There'll be a statue.
- 3:27SPEAKER_00: He should be as well.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: But uh that's why I didn't go.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: King Kev, he was signing everyone, but two, right?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: Oh some team he had.
- 3:36SPEAKER_00: Some team.
- 3:37SPEAKER_00: Right, World Cup.
- 3:39SPEAKER_00: Where should we have finished England?
- 3:41SPEAKER_00: Where should we have finished?
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: It was we where should England have finished?
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: England's Danish.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:46SPEAKER_00: Your daughter's favourite team.
- 3:48SPEAKER_00: She wanted an England Cup, didn't she?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Did she?
- 3:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 3:51SPEAKER_00: Where should we have finished though?
- 3:53SPEAKER_00: Before the tournament.
- 3:55SPEAKER_00: Well, when you're five minutes from the final, this is you think you can win it, don't you?
- 3:58SPEAKER_00: We're rated fourth, weren't we, in the world.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: We were rated fourth.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Tell me this.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: See after the semi-final, I feel like obviously the manager got got it in the neck, but you think Argentina were good.
- 4:09SPEAKER_00: I mean, they they turned up, they turned it on.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: But see, after watching the final, were you more disappointed after watching how that unfolded?
- 4:16SPEAKER_00: And I was more disappointed after watching the third place game as well.
- 4:19SPEAKER_00: Because we should have just had a goal, it's completely different though.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Oh, actually now we're class though against us.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: They actually were, we we blew it, yeah, the substitutions and that, but they were like, Is the manager with what he I just don't know why he done that just because it worked against Mexico?
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: It had to be that kidny.
- 4:34SPEAKER_01: I thought I'll just go and do exactly the same again, no.
- 4:36SPEAKER_01: And Bernal just win everything.
- 4:40SPEAKER_00: I can see I can see why he put the defenders on and see it out.
- 4:43SPEAKER_00: He's done it twice before and it's whopped.
- 4:46SPEAKER_00: And the percentage, I think ball percentage they had between the goal gunning and um the first sub was like 12%.
- 4:53SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: So he's thinking we can't get a hold of the ball, we'll just defend.
- 4:57SPEAKER_00: And then to try to get a hold of the ball, you surely you bring on some counter-attacking teams, innit?
- 5:01SPEAKER_00: Uh players like each up done against Argentina, Cape Verde, like done the same.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Sit in and counter-attack.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: Who's been in an important game though?
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: And human nature, even though the manager's saying get out, human nature makes you take a step back because you're so scared to lose it.
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: Conference final.
- 5:17SPEAKER_00: Do you think it's an an English or maybe British mentality though?
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Or do you think it's all over the first one?
- 5:21SPEAKER_00: I think it's all DNA, I do.
- 5:22SPEAKER_00: I uh we went 1-0 up against Stoke, yeah, it's Stoke in the conference final.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: And I literally was like, fuck that.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Defend.
- 5:30SPEAKER_00: Defend.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: You do that in the Neil Sports and then 65 when you go one-nil up.
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: I heard the story.
- 5:34SPEAKER_00: Listen to this.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: This is true.
- 5:35SPEAKER_00: Got an Low block at the fact got invited to play.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: If you've been it's normally like 9-8, yeah.
- 5:40SPEAKER_00: Something like that, yeah.
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: One one-nil.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: And we scored in the eighth minute.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: But a fun for people in it.
- 5:47SPEAKER_00: And a Wednesday night over the night.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Worked all week for it.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 5:50SPEAKER_00: Like getting people in, I can go and sit in, show them why you show them why you show them trapped.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Take them into the corner.
- 5:56SPEAKER_00: Oh, that's unacceptable.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Didn't get invited.
- 5:58SPEAKER_00: But I I've got a bit of sympathy for them in a way because human nature, when you want to win something so bad, you literally take a step back, don't you?
- 6:06SPEAKER_00: But that's why they brought him in though, isn't it?
- 6:08SPEAKER_00: Like a whole like the British culture of try to defend your lead, like defend your leader, whatever we've got, and then you go, Do you know what?
- 6:15SPEAKER_00: We're going to bring somebody who's German, used to winning things at the top level.
- 6:19SPEAKER_00: He's going to be the difference when we need him.
- 6:21SPEAKER_00: And then when you're looking for it, it it went the other way.
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 6:24SPEAKER_00: Like that's a big moment.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it is.
- 6:26SPEAKER_01: He's um, I mean, I'm sure he after Southgate done it in a previous tournament, he sort of hammered him for what he actually went and done, didn't he?
- 6:33SPEAKER_01: He didn't, yeah.
- 6:34SPEAKER_01: He done exactly the hand break off his.
- 6:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 6:37SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it was uh 85 minutes semi-final.
- 6:40SPEAKER_00: I thought, even just the first final after sixty years.
- 6:43SPEAKER_00: Messi killed it out a player on a cross, didn't he?
- 6:45SPEAKER_00: And it picked Fed let it go and I went, We've done this, yeah, we've got this, yeah.
- 6:49SPEAKER_00: And then literally.
- 6:50SPEAKER_00: But what about the cross though?
- 6:52SPEAKER_00: Like between two giants and the lads.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: No.
- 6:54SPEAKER_00: But that's I think Roy Keane said it after the game.
- 6:57SPEAKER_00: See, when you bring that many defenders on, you end up not doing your job.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: Because you think we're solid, we've got like some.
- 7:03SPEAKER_00: The guys thinking, right, we've got to be three guys behind me to go clear it, and then you end up in between.
- 7:08SPEAKER_00: I remember in that conference final, the ball went over my head and I didn't dare turn round.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: I was just please, please, please, and I just heard Grays or something like Kev's, and the ball went back over my head.
- 7:20SPEAKER_00: I went, get in, Kev.
- 7:21SPEAKER_00: I was just like, please, just keep getting this out.
- 7:24SPEAKER_00: And I was praying.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: And uh so we were fourth seeded, and we finished third, but I still yeah, deflated.
- 7:32SPEAKER_00: They should have been the final at least.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: Spain deservingly winners, they were the better team for me.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: And then and then when we went 4-0 up against France, I went, at least everyone's going home happy.
- 7:41SPEAKER_00: Then it went tight, and I was like, you know what?
- 7:43SPEAKER_00: They're all gonna be hammered again here for winning just 5-4.
- 7:46SPEAKER_00: But then Bellingham, the last kick of the game, I think that was like right, we're going home on a little bit of a high.
- 7:52SPEAKER_00: It was a great goal as well, wasn't it?
- 7:53SPEAKER_00: But I mean the tournament he had was it made it worse though, didn't it?
- 7:56SPEAKER_00: I think because Saka can Saka was like running in behind, scored what a hat trick, Bernham's running the full line for the pitch.
- 8:03SPEAKER_00: Um Rashford's like a threatening behind.
- 8:05SPEAKER_00: Without saying it, it's like, well, why was that?
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: I know it's kind of a meaningless game, but you can see the attributes that the boys have got.
- 8:11SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 8:12SPEAKER_00: If you're gonna sit in and then you can counter with them, that gets you up the pitch.
- 8:15SPEAKER_00: Josh Saka's interview said it without kind of saying it, didn't he?
- 8:18SPEAKER_00: He was like, Well, I was left out.
- 8:20SPEAKER_00: That's in Batbear, the best I've seen him live.
- 8:22SPEAKER_00: He had a point to prove, though, didn't it?
- 8:23SPEAKER_00: It was almost like I've hardly played Saka.
- 8:25SPEAKER_00: But yeah, but look what I can do.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: Like this is what we've been crying out for.
- 8:30SPEAKER_01: So to answer your question, I think just because with five minutes left, you do genuinely start to believe obviously get final so you can win it, but to be honest, I didn't really fancy them against France, and then I was obviously at a wedding and seeing Scott half time, I couldn't believe it, and then Oh, I was like, I'm not watching it.
- 8:48SPEAKER_00: And you think you'll get a better chance though.
- 8:50SPEAKER_00: I know four years a long time, right?
- 8:52SPEAKER_00: But you think I know you're gonna touch on it here.
- 8:54SPEAKER_00: Harry Kane, potentially.
- 8:56SPEAKER_00: He can't be in Donald Captain.
- 8:57SPEAKER_00: Well, are we keeping two shell like too chill after four years?
- 9:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, we'll keep him going forward, won't they?
- 9:02SPEAKER_00: Surely.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: So we're keeping we're keeping him as manager.
- 9:06SPEAKER_00: I think so, yeah.
- 9:07SPEAKER_00: And as Dylan just touched on, Kane last World Cup.
- 9:13SPEAKER_01: What age will he be?
- 9:14SPEAKER_01: 37.
- 9:16SPEAKER_01: So what did your mate on up and go say about him?
- 9:18SPEAKER_00: He runs like he's got his ass hairs tied together.
- 9:21SPEAKER_00: Does that sleep?
- 9:22SPEAKER_00: Sai?
- 9:23SPEAKER_00: They need to calm down then lot.
- 9:25SPEAKER_00: Oh, did you see him doing um have you seen the Cundi stuff, the Sliny?
- 9:29SPEAKER_00: Fuming.
- 9:30SPEAKER_00: He'd done it after the English.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I watched it.
- 9:32SPEAKER_00: I was wondering.
- 9:33SPEAKER_00: But I looked at the comments and he was getting a bit like just for the listeners, I was always after England.
- 9:37SPEAKER_00: I was putting a few things in the group chat.
- 9:39SPEAKER_00: Not too bad, but just asking the question, zero replies.
- 9:43SPEAKER_00: The next day, put in again.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: I was like, is nobody going to reply to me?
- 9:46SPEAKER_00: I think you took that off, didn't you?
- 9:48SPEAKER_00: Um but aye, they were they were harming on it.
- 9:50SPEAKER_00: How old is you now?
- 9:51SPEAKER_00: 33.
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: 33, 53.
- 9:53SPEAKER_00: 37, next World Cup.
- 9:54SPEAKER_00: So he plays the I mean Mr.
- 9:56SPEAKER_00: Dowski and all that, a different level, isn't he?
- 9:58SPEAKER_00: Being the squad.
- 10:00SPEAKER_00: Drive standards.
- 10:03SPEAKER_00: But Kane.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: But Kane, he's not really known for like his pace and that's it.
- 10:08SPEAKER_00: He drops in.
- 10:10SPEAKER_00: See if he's still playing at a decent level in four years, he'll definitely be in the squad.
- 10:14SPEAKER_00: He'd have to be playing anywhere in a bit of box.
- 10:16SPEAKER_00: He'd have to be playing the Bundesliga then.
- 10:18SPEAKER_00: But he'll come back.
- 10:19SPEAKER_00: He won't stay there for four.
- 10:20SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 10:20SPEAKER_01: Does he not want does he not want Sheera's record, you think?
- 10:23SPEAKER_00: But you have to go now.
- 10:24SPEAKER_00: You'll have to do it now.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: Like you can't.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: You'll need two seasons of 20 goals, I think.
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: Is it?
- 10:29SPEAKER_00: Something like that.
- 10:30SPEAKER_00: Two or three seasons, yeah.
- 10:31SPEAKER_00: So he could do it, but well, who's gonna?
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: He seems happier by Munich, doesn't he?
- 10:34SPEAKER_00: I think he'll definitely he'll have one more season at least there, I think.
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: But this is a problem.
- 10:38SPEAKER_00: Who replaces Kane?
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: Oh god, the Hendersons, the Stones.
- 10:43SPEAKER_00: Need some people coming through.
- 10:45SPEAKER_00: What age is um Peckford?
- 10:47SPEAKER_00: He'll be 30.
- 10:48SPEAKER_00: Early 30s now.
- 10:50SPEAKER_00: Good back up that's he's got lads.
- 10:51SPEAKER_00: No, do you think one of them next in line?
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: 32 pick feds, yeah.
- 10:55SPEAKER_00: Keep feds.
- 10:57SPEAKER_00: Euros is the one in that.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: The Euros have got to really focus on winning that.
- 11:01SPEAKER_01: And also Spain and France are in it, aren't they, aren't they?
- 11:03SPEAKER_01: So you're not like you're not really any further forward, are you with?
- 11:07SPEAKER_01: But I I agree with you.
- 11:08SPEAKER_00: Um they'll they'll have a they'll have a right goal.
- 11:10SPEAKER_00: France will be good, like some of the football, even in that third place game, the one touch where Elise missed.
- 11:15SPEAKER_00: Have you seen it?
- 11:16SPEAKER_00: I don't know how he's missed, but the football there, somewhere else.
- 11:19SPEAKER_00: Like taking the ball at uh who does Vieira love in midfield for them?
- 11:24SPEAKER_00: I can't remember his name, but he just took it in some certain as it rabio no the short name.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: I'll get it.
- 11:30SPEAKER_00: Coney.
- 11:31SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, he was good.
- 11:33SPEAKER_00: Here's a question for you, right?
- 11:34SPEAKER_00: You know, if you're that Lamal now and you've won everything at night, you ain't done.
- 11:37SPEAKER_00: You just got pro he's proposed, didn't he?
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: Imagine retiring.
- 11:40SPEAKER_00: He proposed after the game, suppose he's proposed, eh?
- 11:43SPEAKER_00: I'm not even retiring, I'm finishing her.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: And I'm going on to brawl on that, he's we brawl.
- 11:48SPEAKER_00: Take the brother with this just one cut off hopefully that he's a bit free.
- 11:50SPEAKER_00: Uh I thought it's carrying it, the brother.
- 11:53SPEAKER_00: He is, he is probably fine.
- 11:56SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, so with the Kevin Keegan thing, the Ballon d'Ors.
- 12:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so world class, it was we've had this conversation on one of the first, but someone said on the argument on I can't remember what panel it was, world class means you get into any team in the world.
- 12:14SPEAKER_00: So someone was saying Rice was world class, and then they went, he's not world class because he doesn't get into France's midfield, and then or Spain, and someone was going, he does.
- 12:22SPEAKER_00: Someone was saying he does, I can't remember what it was, it was on Talksports that he does for there for him, he gets in.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: So I think world classes you can get into any team, and then the one above we talked about the Maradona's, the Peleas, they're elite.
- 12:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so you've won the argument from week one.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: So where we put in Bellingham, world class doesn't hit that elite yet.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: I think not your tight, but he could, he's got tight.
- 12:46SPEAKER_00: He's only 22, 23, so he's definitely got something together.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Bellingham gets into every team in the world, yeah.
- 12:51SPEAKER_00: For me, does he?
- 12:52SPEAKER_00: He's a big game player, isn't it?
- 12:54SPEAKER_00: Oh, he's met as a frightening.
- 12:55SPEAKER_00: I like the um thingies have put together where he's fighting every Argentinian player and giving him.
- 13:00SPEAKER_00: Speaking Spanish and that's you're speaking Spanish and that then, but you said there's someone.
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: Who are you?
- 13:03SPEAKER_00: I mean he's not two F going, who are you?
- 13:05SPEAKER_00: He's ugly as well.
- 13:06SPEAKER_00: I seen him in the showers.
- 13:08SPEAKER_00: I seen him in the showers, Walnut Whip.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: Get it.
- 13:11SPEAKER_00: No chance.
- 13:13SPEAKER_00: I'll be swinging that.
- 13:14SPEAKER_00: Hey Yeah, so Bellingham, world class, not only yet, but you'll won he'll won a couple of Champions Leagues, potentially like a Euros or something.
- 13:25SPEAKER_01: I liked what you put after the the the World Cup.
- 13:27SPEAKER_01: He's last, he's the very last bit at the end.
- 13:29SPEAKER_01: He put we'll we'll get there.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: So like we'll so it's like we'll win something and we will, as you're like, he's so confident that he's gonna win a big tournament.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: I can't believe well.
- 13:38SPEAKER_00: We've had this conversation when people were like saying don't take him and all that.
- 13:41SPEAKER_00: Well, because he's a bomb winner and he hammers people, get in.
- 13:44SPEAKER_00: But you need like these competitions, like you could be rubbish like the last Euros, rubbish most of the games, last minute pops up where I go with it.
- 13:52SPEAKER_00: Mbappe's the same.
- 13:53SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you watch Mbappé and you're thinking he's no he's no the top level everybody thinks he is.
- 13:58SPEAKER_00: And then you come up and score two in the last 10 minutes.
- 14:00SPEAKER_00: That's what they've still done.
- 14:01SPEAKER_00: The game was good the other day against England.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: So before we do go to our intro, we'll just round the World Cup up.
- 14:08SPEAKER_00: Spain via Argentina, Rodri's back to his best.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: Rodri's had a good tournament.
- 14:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah, very good.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Very good.
- 14:14SPEAKER_00: Just he doesn't pass at square.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: Well, he does, but he passes aggressively forward as well.
- 14:20SPEAKER_00: What about the what rate as well off the ball though?
- 14:22SPEAKER_00: And I love the fact that they they stopped to their guns.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 14:25SPEAKER_00: Argentina will probably touch on how dirty were they.
- 14:28SPEAKER_00: Like just running all over the top of them, doing whatever they biting and scratching, whatever they could do, try to get try to get the ball, but they just kept trusting the process, then they pass, pass, pass, and eventually they they they were the better team.
- 14:40SPEAKER_00: It takes a lot of um calm heads as well, not to get riled by them.
- 14:44SPEAKER_00: Like see when they go put that pressure on, they still played.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, dude.
- 14:47SPEAKER_00: I feel like see England, they're building it for the back, they get that pressure, one or two over like turnovers, just retreat back.
- 14:54SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 14:55SPEAKER_00: Retreat, don't really play through the lines the way they can't, they just think nah, we'll beat them in football.
- 15:00SPEAKER_00: We're not gonna get involved in a fight.
- 15:03SPEAKER_00: I would lose my head.
- 15:04SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 15:06SPEAKER_00: So the final, yeah, we're just I was just praying for Spain to win.
- 15:09SPEAKER_00: You're not having the finals in the daylight, are you?
- 15:11SPEAKER_00: Absolutely not.
- 15:12SPEAKER_00: It doesn't nah.
- 15:13SPEAKER_00: Tropping through the halftime show.
- 15:14SPEAKER_00: Well, what about Ronaldo and Ronald Daddy?
- 15:18SPEAKER_01: What was going on with them two?
- 15:20SPEAKER_01: Just stood there like a pair of dummies.
- 15:21SPEAKER_01: Well, Madonna.
- 15:25SPEAKER_01: Oh, let's not go into that.
- 15:28SPEAKER_00: I was I dashed uh the fastest I've ever been was running to them comments.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: I was like, don't even look at the picture.
- 15:36SPEAKER_01: What about him off the UFC?
- 15:37SPEAKER_00: That Bruce Buffer, like they had both.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: I mean the boxing one and then the UFC one, didn't he?
- 15:43SPEAKER_00: You're like, oh yeah, man, to football matches.
- 15:45SPEAKER_00: Alright, there was just everything, it just kept going, didn't it?
- 15:47SPEAKER_00: It's kept going and clicked Bieber, right?
- 15:49SPEAKER_00: You think old fame by the way?
- 15:50SPEAKER_00: Maybe not for a half-time show, but I don't mind about a bieber.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: But then he plays a song that what's he playing that for?
- 15:55SPEAKER_00: It's like the slowest song ever that I thought we were gonna get a rubber hit.
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 16:00SPEAKER_00: Like aye.
- 16:01SPEAKER_00: Um and then Rooney summed it up, didn't he?
- 16:04SPEAKER_00: Crap, crap.
- 16:06SPEAKER_00: Someone was saying there on the radio, they went, Rooney was crap, or like his punditry was crap all the way through.
- 16:11SPEAKER_00: Went, he's just absolutely redeeming himself with that.
- 16:13SPEAKER_00: I thought he was alright, I thought he was good.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: Looks well as well.
- 16:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, he's lost a bit of time, didn't he?
- 16:18SPEAKER_00: Joe Hart's uh I just can't work Joe Hart out.
- 16:20SPEAKER_00: I think he's a lunatic.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: He is a lunatic.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: And he's very New York and he's Bethy.
- 16:25SPEAKER_00: How many keepers have you met who are actually normal?
- 16:28SPEAKER_00: They're they're they're always a bit like you've always got question marks, but he's a bit he's a bit.
- 16:33SPEAKER_00: If your keepers not a bit silly, you're like, what's wrong with you?
- 16:35SPEAKER_00: Like Pickfoot, because on to Pickfoot, he's pulling faces and all that, isn't it?
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Like they're always a bit a bit on the crazy side, but um well to sum up, as you've just said, World Cup final in and in the heat in the daylight, no, that's probably the worst World Cup for me since 2002.
- 16:53SPEAKER_00: 2004?
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the time.
- 16:55SPEAKER_00: I mean Japan, 2002, wasn't it?
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah, yeah.
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: That was Brazil kickoff times and stuff.
- 17:00SPEAKER_00: New England's best game was Mexico.
- 17:02SPEAKER_00: Look at the time it was at, it's ridiculous.
- 17:03SPEAKER_00: And uh someone put up how many games have you watched?
- 17:06SPEAKER_00: I think I've watched four.
- 17:07SPEAKER_00: Aye, and there's what, 102 or something, yeah.
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: I've not seen many.
- 17:11SPEAKER_00: It's actually made us ready for uh National League.
- 17:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm ready for National League.
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 17:16SPEAKER_00: Intro, Adam.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: What episode have we got?
- 17:19SPEAKER_00: 25.
- 17:41SPEAKER_00: Right, quick one, Dylan, because you heard yeah, congratulations on continuing your playing career.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 17:46SPEAKER_00: A little bit up the road.
- 17:48SPEAKER_00: Just up the road, yeah.
- 17:49SPEAKER_00: It's um takes a lot of boxes for me.
- 17:52SPEAKER_00: Um obviously get to stay here in the city, which we've enjoyed the last few years.
- 17:56SPEAKER_00: Little one goes to school comfortable.
- 17:58SPEAKER_00: Um so life away for football we've enjoyed.
- 18:00SPEAKER_00: So nice to get that sorted and back playing, and there's a couple opportunities off the pitch as well, which will come out in the next few weeks that I'm looking to uh gain experience.
- 18:12SPEAKER_00: He must have been out the 50th person who's settled here, who's played for Carlisle, not from the area.
- 18:17SPEAKER_00: Well I someone reeled them off a few years ago, and I was like, Brother, yeah, that's a lot.
- 18:21SPEAKER_01: It does wrap a lot of people in, doesn't it?
- 18:22SPEAKER_01: I mean, I used to I used to live away, I used to come back too much.
- 18:24SPEAKER_01: I just love coming home.
- 18:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 18:26SPEAKER_00: Something in the water, isn't it?
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: Isn't it?
- 18:27SPEAKER_01: It is.
- 18:28SPEAKER_00: Alright, but um, well done, mate.
- 18:30SPEAKER_00: Well done.
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: But what about the video?
- 18:31SPEAKER_00: We wondered why he was doing sit-ups every time we're seeing him.
- 18:35SPEAKER_00: Is that cringe, right?
- 18:37SPEAKER_00: Some video of that.
- 18:38SPEAKER_00: I hear I've not even seen it on.
- 18:39SPEAKER_00: It's decent, it's good, it's good.
- 18:41SPEAKER_00: It's good.
- 18:42SPEAKER_00: Hey, imagine when we're saying back in our day, little pouches and that.
- 18:46SPEAKER_00: Put your top on nah.
- 18:48SPEAKER_00: As I say, murph that time, just want to do a calendar because six weeks.
- 18:52SPEAKER_00: It'll be December by then.
- 18:54SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, quick one.
- 18:56SPEAKER_00: Call L open day, look good for the kids.
- 18:59SPEAKER_00: Did yeah.
- 18:59SPEAKER_01: I know a few people who went said it was really good, plenty to do for the kids, get to watch them train and stuff.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: They just like just again off the pitch, they do really well.
- 19:06SPEAKER_01: Asked about that.
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: I only went into that to tell you as a story.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Go on.
- 19:10SPEAKER_00: Barnsley had an uh open day, right?
- 19:12SPEAKER_00: We trained on the pitch.
- 19:13SPEAKER_00: Remember Derek Fazakali?
- 19:14SPEAKER_00: Yeah, class coach, doing phase of play, and he just went, um, right, you're not done it right.
- 19:21SPEAKER_00: Reiggs, right back, call Regan, ex Everton Barnsie.
- 19:24SPEAKER_00: So there's about 200 people watching the stands, goes, run down the wing like that.
- 19:28SPEAKER_00: So he's running, thinking like Faz is gonna jockey him.
- 19:31SPEAKER_00: Faz has done like an old left back 1960s tackle, slid, took Reiggs, Reiggs just went over, left them in the dirt, brought the ball out.
- 19:40SPEAKER_00: Where I'll laughing my head off.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: Whole crowd are like, Footy hell.
- 19:43SPEAKER_01: I sort of two footed him in an uh in an open day.
- 19:46SPEAKER_01: Think they're a good idea then to watch it like for everyone to go and watch them train and stuff.
- 19:50SPEAKER_01: I mean, because the trialists were involved as well, weren't there?
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: So it's a lot of people asking questions about who's who and stuff.
- 19:54SPEAKER_00: I think it's good for the players to then if you meet someone's kid, or if I'm a parent and someone's nice and he's playing crap next year, you give him a little bit of a leeway.
- 20:04SPEAKER_00: Yeah, true, true springs them again, isn't it?
- 20:06SPEAKER_00: Community new sign-ins, get them know the community and stuff.
- 20:09SPEAKER_00: Obviously, we were on the radio, but five, six years ago, you didn't hear it from anyone.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: No, four, five, three, four years ago, you didn't you'd never you just hear the manager speak after a game.
- 20:17SPEAKER_00: There used to be two players at least, yeah.
- 20:19SPEAKER_00: And we just didn't hear so you never got to know whose personality was what you'd just see them on the pitch.
- 20:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah, there was no no in-between, was there?
- 20:27SPEAKER_00: Had a quick text in about from Mark Rothery.
- 20:31SPEAKER_00: This all stems from his gossip girl stuff, and we talked about TV shows.
- 20:35SPEAKER_00: He went not watching the sopranos, but watching an analysis of the sopranos is one of the wildest things I've ever heard.
- 20:43SPEAKER_00: You've got to watch it.
- 20:44SPEAKER_00: The greatest TV show ever, Mark Rosery.
- 20:47SPEAKER_00: Well, that was when I said I've never watched the sopranos, but the final scene I watched it and looked at all the uh what people thought had happened and what it meant, and that so have you watched the sopranos.
- 20:57SPEAKER_00: I haven't seen it.
- 20:58SPEAKER_00: No, I've done the same though.
- 20:59SPEAKER_00: See when it comes up my TikTok with like little three-minute videos, I watch it and I I know I like it, but I've just never really had the time to consistently watch it into it because then the missus wants to come in and put on gossip girl or Love Island or something.
- 21:11SPEAKER_00: She wants to put on Gossip Girl, and I just suck through it.
- 21:15SPEAKER_00: One one-eight.
- 21:16SPEAKER_00: I've not watched Love Iron this year, though.
- 21:18SPEAKER_00: I'm I'm getting I think I've hit at a stage where I'm too old for it.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Nah, just get them the first.
- 21:23SPEAKER_00: There's like 19, 20 year olds little arguing and but pulling each other for a chat.
- 21:26SPEAKER_00: Being too safe this year, bombshell bombshells weren't there.
- 21:29SPEAKER_00: They need to give them a drink.
- 21:30SPEAKER_00: Remember, they used to give them a drink.
- 21:31SPEAKER_00: Oh, it used to be drink smoking.
- 21:32SPEAKER_00: Remember Big Brother and that, and they used to kick up like that, keeps coming up my TikTok because it's what I'm watching.
- 21:37SPEAKER_00: My four you page, and it's the old school big brother, man.
- 21:39SPEAKER_00: And it's oh, it was amazing, wasn't it?
- 21:41SPEAKER_00: You need to get the security in that kill each other than that one.
- 21:43SPEAKER_00: That's like that Vicky Patterson who was on Geordie Shaw, the Jory, who now's got a fosh, a posh London accent.
- 21:49SPEAKER_00: It's just like I do this, I do that.
- 21:51SPEAKER_00: I went, Listen, in 2008, I saw you get sort of relax and spitting in people's faces.
- 21:58SPEAKER_00: Don't give it the big one on This morning.
- 22:00SPEAKER_00: We're not you really anyway.
- 22:02SPEAKER_00: Favourite football movie of all time.
- 22:04SPEAKER_00: We spoke about goal last week and goal two.
- 22:07SPEAKER_00: Got one for you.
- 22:08SPEAKER_00: There's only one Jimmy Grimble.
- 22:09SPEAKER_00: Best.
- 22:10SPEAKER_00: Oh yeah.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Give it a Gordon.
- 22:11SPEAKER_00: Give it a Gordon.
- 22:12SPEAKER_00: Gordon's died, you know.
- 22:14SPEAKER_00: No, Gordon.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: The threat.
- 22:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 22:16SPEAKER_00: He died of cancer.
- 22:17SPEAKER_00: Did he?
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 22:18SPEAKER_00: I didn't know that.
- 22:19SPEAKER_00: And I've never seen that actor since who played Jimmy.
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: Hasn't kicked with the big ears.
- 22:24SPEAKER_00: He's not kicked on.
- 22:26SPEAKER_00: Darms United about Brian Clough.
- 22:28SPEAKER_00: That is.
- 22:30SPEAKER_00: Is that going to that one who goes to lead?
- 22:31SPEAKER_00: Ah, it's class.
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: I haven't seen that.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: I might watch that tonight, actually.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Escape the victory.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: Pele and a sling.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 22:39SPEAKER_00: Nikki Somerby played for us.
- 22:41SPEAKER_00: His dad was in it.
- 22:42SPEAKER_00: Said they just went for six weeks out there.
- 22:44SPEAKER_00: Son got paid, like got paid double the salary of when they played.
- 22:48SPEAKER_00: Pele.
- 22:49SPEAKER_00: I don't think Beckenbaugh was in it.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: No, but it was at the end, it goes through them all.
- 22:52SPEAKER_00: They're all internationals, weren't they?
- 22:54SPEAKER_00: So that would have been class.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: One of the best mean machine.
- 22:58SPEAKER_00: Oh, love it.
- 22:59SPEAKER_00: Who's the what's the keeper called?
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: The monk.
- 23:01SPEAKER_00: The monk.
- 23:04SPEAKER_01: What a film that is.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: I put it on.
- 23:07SPEAKER_00: I'm playing Crew Away for Barnsley.
- 23:08SPEAKER_00: I think it was Crew Away, was it?
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I think it was.
- 23:11SPEAKER_00: And we're watching it.
- 23:12SPEAKER_00: Danny Dyer hits the net at the end and let me entertain you.
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: Comes on, doesn't it?
- 23:15SPEAKER_00: I mean, I've got the lads up for it.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Lost to note.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: One year's Mighton.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: No, when Saturday comes, Sean Bean plays for Chef United, goes on the piston night before his trial.
- 23:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 23:27SPEAKER_00: We've been there.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: I goes out, gets a trial, hands on the lands.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: Is that old?
- 23:34SPEAKER_00: I scores scores a pen against Manu to win the F C Cup or something.
- 23:39SPEAKER_00: Rumble's Cup.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: But goal and goal two are very good.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: Goal three, absolute waste of time.
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: Right, we've got a big one here.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Clown watch.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: Go on.
- 23:51SPEAKER_00: Can I tell you who my clown is?
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: Mike Rella.
- 23:55SPEAKER_00: Who's that?
- 23:56SPEAKER_00: Played for Leeds, played for Carlisle on Lone.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: Billy Big Bollocks at the on American TV, hammering everyone.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: Him and Harry Cula fell out.
- 24:05SPEAKER_00: Really?
- 24:06SPEAKER_00: Because he was hammering Australia.
- 24:07SPEAKER_00: Harry Kula was going, who's Mike Grilla?
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: See.
- 24:09SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 24:10SPEAKER_00: And you can as well just going, who is he?
- 24:12SPEAKER_00: And then I watched a bit of it and what a wank.
- 24:14SPEAKER_00: I was just like, it was for bites again.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: He's got this platform on American TV, but all the comments underneath, putting his stats up, 14 goals for Leeds, no goals.
- 24:24SPEAKER_00: Carlisle 8, 2, and then like Vancouver summit.
- 24:28SPEAKER_00: You don't need someone asking to be a big got a gig on that.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: Talk about the World Cup.
- 24:32SPEAKER_00: I remember watching him for Carl when I was I was like commentating absolute pee heart.
- 24:37SPEAKER_00: Ducking out of everything in that.
- 24:39SPEAKER_00: And now look at him.
- 24:41SPEAKER_00: Hopefully getting the Tinta, getting the poot.
- 24:44SPEAKER_00: Argentinian players, clam watch.
- 24:46SPEAKER_00: Enzo Fernandez.
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: What is he doing?
- 24:48SPEAKER_00: He's on a yellow.
- 24:50SPEAKER_00: Why is he flying out of that in the last minute?
- 24:51SPEAKER_00: A few quid.
- 24:52SPEAKER_00: Killed him, didn't it?
- 24:53SPEAKER_01: Tell you what I was seeing on line before the ratings for BBC and ITV.
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: Did you see it?
- 24:59SPEAKER_01: Hammered them eh.
- 25:00SPEAKER_00: But to be fair, because there's no adverts, you think, or a lot of people were mentioned.
- 25:04SPEAKER_00: The adverts is the panel was better on well, Rooney and Hart and Richards were alright, but I like Keen, Neville, whoever else is on.
- 25:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:14SPEAKER_00: But to be fair, we all watch the podcast, don't you?
- 25:16SPEAKER_00: So you're kind of getting what they're saying anyway.
- 25:18SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 25:20SPEAKER_00: And then when you watch at the end, you don't want to flick into like you like where if England win or finals won, you want to watch all the like ITV quickly go to.
- 25:28SPEAKER_00: And the Break gotta do it, yeah.
- 25:30SPEAKER_00: Hi, BBC got what was it, nine or ten million more?
- 25:33SPEAKER_00: BBC only flew people over from the semi-finals onwards, I think.
- 25:36SPEAKER_00: Did they?
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: They done it from a studio here, didn't they?
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: And just put like a backdrop on his ITV.
- 25:43SPEAKER_00: They were a right cover.
- 25:44SPEAKER_00: There wasn't like you know, in the final, they should have had like an ex-Argentinian and ex like Spanish player on.
- 25:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just English on all of them on the well Irish with Roy Keen as well.
- 25:54SPEAKER_00: So clown watch, any yeah, the well, who else?
- 25:58SPEAKER_00: The the FIFA chairman with the carnival Tuco, no.
- 26:02SPEAKER_00: You'd be a lot of people who's climbing watch nah.
- 26:06SPEAKER_00: Uh you'll be a lot of people though.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: Trump not handing the trophy over.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: Steve Rodrid, Rodrigues just getting off, trying to like shush him off, isn't he?
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: Apparently Spear have cut him out, haven't they?
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: On the photo.
- 26:16SPEAKER_00: Oh, have they?
- 26:17SPEAKER_00: Wasn't it the Club World Cup where he's celebrated with Chelsea?
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: Palmer's going, what's doing?
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Behind him, what are you doing?
- 26:22SPEAKER_00: Who knew who was?
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: And she just went like that.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: And from Busshead last week.
- 26:28SPEAKER_00: The worst crocs I've ever seen.
- 26:29SPEAKER_00: So he built up these crocs, Dylan, saying, I've got a I've got Swade.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: They've got Swade on the lock.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, horrific.
- 26:36SPEAKER_00: And we put in the group just.
- 26:38SPEAKER_00: We were all expecting more, Busshead.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: Shockers.
- 26:40SPEAKER_00: And call him out.
- 26:41SPEAKER_00: We're waiting on these strips.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: The two times till nothing.
- 26:46SPEAKER_00: You must hope you'll be getting a haircut.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: Came like a sack of shit.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: It absolutely killed him.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: They came in.
- 26:51SPEAKER_00: I said the bins around the back, mate.
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: I went, oh boss.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: Right, we've had this from Scott BB.
- 26:59SPEAKER_00: Ask Skip on the pod if he prepares breaking bad or better call sal.
- 27:05SPEAKER_00: So both absolutely class, but if push came to show, for me it's better call sol.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: Ray the Crocs, though.
- 27:13SPEAKER_00: My wife and daughter must have about eight pairs between them.
- 27:16SPEAKER_00: Absolute ridiculous.
- 27:17SPEAKER_00: Give me a scabby old pair of granddad slippers any day.
- 27:21SPEAKER_00: So remember Breaking Bad.
- 27:22SPEAKER_00: I remember this one came out as one of the characters, wasn't it?
- 27:25SPEAKER_00: Did he not get killed in Breaking Bad though?
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Um no, you got like away the new air where you get the name change and all that.
- 27:32SPEAKER_00: Grow up.
- 27:33SPEAKER_00: Breaking Bad's Marsbare.
- 27:35SPEAKER_00: It's been too long.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: It's amazing.
- 27:37SPEAKER_00: How many series?
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: A few.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: And it's five or six.
- 27:42SPEAKER_00: What, an eight in each one?
- 27:44SPEAKER_00: It's quite slow.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: Like I get why some people find it hard, but see, once you get into it and you you like the character and stuff.
- 27:50SPEAKER_01: Well, I don't think I'd have got into it, but I was on the plane going to Vegas from Honeymoon, and she was I didn't speak to her the whole time.
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: I was just got into it having a drink.
- 27:59SPEAKER_01: Next thing we're about eight episodes in, so she carried on.
- 28:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's good.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: Ozark?
- 28:03SPEAKER_00: Oh, Zark was good.
- 28:04SPEAKER_00: That was so slow for us.
- 28:05SPEAKER_00: But it was good.
- 28:06SPEAKER_00: It was I mean once you get into the story and then you appreciate the kind of slow meld up to some of the rather than just false action all the time, on it.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: It's quite slow.
- 28:16unknown: Right.
- 28:16SPEAKER_01: So who was you wear crocs?
- 28:19SPEAKER_00: Do you wear slippers?
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: Do you?
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:21SPEAKER_00: I've got dressing gown.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: Do you wear jarmers?
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:26SPEAKER_00: Do you wear Adam, do you wear dressing gown?
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: Do you wear crocs?
- 28:29SPEAKER_00: Do you wear jarmers?
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: It's cool in it.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: It just does all cool shit.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: Silk boxes.
- 28:34SPEAKER_00: Do you wear slippers?
- 28:36SPEAKER_01: In the winter I've got them.
- 28:37SPEAKER_01: I've dictated a bit.
- 28:40SPEAKER_01: You've got one of them hats?
- 28:42SPEAKER_01: Well, I have.
- 28:43SPEAKER_01: I've got slippers in.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Do you drink Horlocks?
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:46SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:47SPEAKER_00: So have you got dressing games in?
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: No.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: Shorts in a t-shirt.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm shorts of t-shirt.
- 28:53SPEAKER_01: I'm shorts and t-shirt.
- 28:54SPEAKER_01: I haven't got jarmas.
- 28:55SPEAKER_01: She keeps saying why don't you get jarmas?
- 28:56SPEAKER_01: I'm like.
- 28:57SPEAKER_00: Because you're not 68?
- 28:59SPEAKER_01: I'm not far off.
- 29:01SPEAKER_00: But Don want you in jarmas.
- 29:03SPEAKER_00: You've got some chairs in his hair.
- 29:05SPEAKER_00: She's got about 50.
- 29:06SPEAKER_00: Three in the middle, jarmas.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: Nice.
- 29:08SPEAKER_01: Heard and Sevilla have got so many pairs of pajamas.
- 29:10SPEAKER_01: Do you know what they got?
- 29:12SPEAKER_01: Well, I get it.
- 29:13SPEAKER_01: Daughter and mother matching pajamas.
- 29:14SPEAKER_01: Nah, that's all right.
- 29:15SPEAKER_01: I get that, but we can handle that.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: Aye, but aye.
- 29:17SPEAKER_01: Nah, I've got slippers, crocs, the best of footwear.
- 29:21SPEAKER_01: Are you crocs, Dylan?
- 29:22SPEAKER_00: Nah.
- 29:23SPEAKER_00: No.
- 29:24SPEAKER_00: You never live.
- 29:25SPEAKER_00: I told you, unless you're a chef.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, yeah.
- 29:27SPEAKER_00: Underage of 12.
- 29:28SPEAKER_00: You shouldn't move on.
- 29:29SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 29:31SPEAKER_00: But so I was like, ah, I should have had my crocs on.
- 29:34SPEAKER_01: I don't believe these strips exist until we see them.
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: There you go.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 29:39SPEAKER_00: Well, we have called them out.
- 29:40SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: That's how it should be.
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: Right, you two jokes.
- 29:44SPEAKER_00: Well, you skip.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: Who am I, right, Dylan?
- 29:49SPEAKER_00: We changed it last week.
- 29:50SPEAKER_00: We're going back to the normal who am I?
- 29:52SPEAKER_00: A big old one.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: But then, who am I?
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: There's three players, and I just name the teams who they're playing ball.
- 30:00SPEAKER_00: The teams?
- 30:01SPEAKER_00: The teams, and you've got to get it, basically.
- 30:06SPEAKER_00: Us have got to get it.
- 30:08SPEAKER_01: Or's him.
- 30:09SPEAKER_00: Are we not a team?
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're a team.
- 30:12SPEAKER_00: So I'll just do it as normal.
- 30:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 30:14SPEAKER_00: I'll just commit to the worst suggestions ever.
- 30:17SPEAKER_00: So everyone can play along.
- 30:19SPEAKER_00: If you get it, one of you's write it down.
- 30:23SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: Who am I?
- 30:25SPEAKER_00: Born in 1985.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: This player joined Arsenal Youth Academy in 2001 and progressed through the ranks to make his debut in the League Cup against Manchester City on the 27th of October 2004, where he played out of position at left back.

- 31:01SPEAKER_00: Due to Campbell's mistakes in that game, our man started the next two league matches.

- 31:09SPEAKER_00: Arsenal always struggled against Bolton there.

- 31:36SPEAKER_00: During his time at Birmingham, he came out of the top assists in three seasons running and experienced.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Sorry, three it came out of the assist stats, three season running and experienced promotion and relegation from your Premier League with them.
- 31:51SPEAKER_00: On 1st of July 2011, and upon the expiry of his contract, he swapped Birmingham for Weside and the red and white of Sunland, linking it with former boss Steve Bruce.
- 32:03SPEAKER_00: No, I was going to say Mafia Upson.
- 32:06SPEAKER_00: No.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: Dylan.
- 32:11SPEAKER_01: He stopped listening after the first 10 seconds.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: He marked his debut at Sunland with the equaliser at Anfield in a 1-1 draw.
- 32:21SPEAKER_00: After being released by Sunland, he signed a one-year deal with Hull City, then an extension in 2017-18 before finishing his career with AIK in the Swedish Championship.

- 32:44SPEAKER_00: Birmingham.
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Arsenal.
- 32:47SPEAKER_00: Birmingham.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: Sunderland.
- 32:49SPEAKER_00: Hull.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: No?
- 32:54SPEAKER_00: Steven News.
- 32:55SPEAKER_00: Seb Larson.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: Come on, you two.
- 33:02SPEAKER_00: Are we ready?
- 33:03SPEAKER_00: Who am I?
- 33:04SPEAKER_00: Clubs.
- 33:06SPEAKER_00: Ipswich.
- 33:07SPEAKER_00: Colchester.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Newcastle United.
- 33:10SPEAKER_00: Wigan.
- 33:12SPEAKER_00: Sunderland.

- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Colchester.
- 33:20SPEAKER_00: Newcastle United.
- 33:22SPEAKER_00: Wigan.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Sunderland.
- 33:25SPEAKER_00: Newcastle and Sunderland.
- 33:26SPEAKER_02: Who's put on Newcastle Sunderland?
- 33:36SPEAKER_02: Same era.
- 33:40SPEAKER_00: There can't even be many who played for both.
- 33:44SPEAKER_00: One more.
- 33:45SPEAKER_00: Ipswich, Colchester, Newcastle United, Wigan, Sunderland.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: No.
- 33:58SPEAKER_00: No, no, no.

- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Titus Bramble.
- 34:02SPEAKER_00: The Titus.
- 34:04SPEAKER_00: Kicking Iron Man.
- 34:06SPEAKER_00: Looked at him and you're like, how?
- 34:09SPEAKER_00: Good though, wasn't he?
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: Was he?
- 34:10SPEAKER_00: Affective.
- 34:11SPEAKER_00: Alright.
- 34:14SPEAKER_00: Had a gaff had a love, did he?
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: What am I?
- 34:17SPEAKER_00: No, like he had a mistake in him, didn't he?
- 34:19SPEAKER_00: But he was good at the house.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: Oh, but like the night out.
- 34:21SPEAKER_00: Some of the things he used to do.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: Love the name out.
- 34:22SPEAKER_00: But he in training, he was probably one of the lost players ever.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: Next one.
- 34:25SPEAKER_00: And then I sat out there, he was like.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Sorry.
- 34:28SPEAKER_00: Next one, ready?
- 34:29SPEAKER_00: Yeah, go on.
- 34:30SPEAKER_00: Kilmarnock.
- 34:32SPEAKER_00: Rangers.
- 34:33SPEAKER_00: Everton.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: Norwich City.
- 34:36SPEAKER_00: Hearts.
- 34:37SPEAKER_00: Stephen Nismith.
- 34:39SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 34:40SPEAKER_00: That was quick.
- 34:42SPEAKER_00: That was very quick.
- 34:43SPEAKER_00: Would you have got that?
- 34:45SPEAKER_00: No.
- 34:47SPEAKER_00: I was thinking of Matty Kennedy.
- 34:49SPEAKER_00: Boy Affload.
- 34:51SPEAKER_00: Then you said Hearts and I was like, nah, he's not as heart.
- 34:55SPEAKER_00: Next one.
- 34:56SPEAKER_00: He's not Buddha Angels, he's all fucking hell.
- 35:00SPEAKER_00: Who were you saying?
- 35:01SPEAKER_00: Matty Kennedy's.
- 35:04SPEAKER_00: He went Kamarnock and then Evelyn.
- 35:05SPEAKER_00: That's where I was thinking Sam straight away.
- 35:08SPEAKER_00: Watford, Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham, Man City, Portsmouth, Bristol City, Bournemouth.
- 35:20SPEAKER_02: Oh my god.
- 35:28SPEAKER_00: Watford Liverpool Aston Villa West Ham Man City Portsmouth Bristol City Bournemouth.
- 35:44SPEAKER_01: It's Bristol City that does me.
- 35:46SPEAKER_01: I don't know, I've got a clue.
- 35:48SPEAKER_01: Not a clue.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: Not a clue.
- 35:50SPEAKER_00: Think of this, though.
- 35:53SPEAKER_00: Watford, think of these.
- 35:54SPEAKER_00: Watford, Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham, Man City.
- 35:58SPEAKER_00: I don't know, you've said that twice what it is.
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 36:00SPEAKER_00: Does it matter then?
- 36:02SPEAKER_00: David James?
- 36:03SPEAKER_00: Oh David James.
- 36:04SPEAKER_00: Last one.
- 36:06SPEAKER_00: Last one.
- 36:10SPEAKER_00: Celtic.
- 36:13SPEAKER_00: Hibbs.
- 36:15SPEAKER_00: Sunderland.
- 36:16SPEAKER_01: I still can't get it.
- 36:20SPEAKER_00: Who?
- 36:23unknown: Me.
- 36:25SPEAKER_00: Finally.
- 36:27SPEAKER_00: Got a quick one for you?
- 36:29SPEAKER_00: Which Premier League goalkeeper has the record number of clean sheets of all time in the Premier League?
- 36:34SPEAKER_00: 202.
- 36:38SPEAKER_00: Keeper record.
- 36:40SPEAKER_00: Think of championship winning teams.
- 36:43SPEAKER_00: No.
- 36:44SPEAKER_00: He had a great record, isn't it?
- 36:58SPEAKER_00: The gear's a good show, but no.
- 37:01SPEAKER_00: Is it Man City boy?
- 37:02SPEAKER_00: Emerson?
- 37:03SPEAKER_00: Emerson?
- 37:04SPEAKER_00: Is it Emerson?
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: Edison.
- 37:05SPEAKER_00: Edison.
- 37:06unknown: Fuck it.
- 37:09SPEAKER_00: Um is it?
- 37:13SPEAKER_00: A check.
- 37:15SPEAKER_00: Because you forget, didn't you?
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: It's obvious, eh?
- 37:16SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 37:17SPEAKER_00: You forget.
- 37:18SPEAKER_00: But did the gear have a record or something, didn't he?
- 37:21SPEAKER_00: I think the gear's probably the closest to it, wasn't it?
- 37:24SPEAKER_00: I'd imagine.
- 37:25SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 37:26SPEAKER_00: Back in.
- 37:28SPEAKER_00: What's the crack?
- 37:29SPEAKER_00: Again, sponsored by Tony Everton.
- 37:31SPEAKER_00: Let us down on Sunday.
- 37:32SPEAKER_00: Didn't come and meet me.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: It's fine.
- 37:34SPEAKER_00: We'll drink his bar dry.
- 37:36SPEAKER_00: Oh, he's back.
- 37:37SPEAKER_00: We'll drink his bar dry.
- 37:38SPEAKER_00: But thank you for that.
- 37:40SPEAKER_00: So this is from Robert Ben.
- 37:42SPEAKER_00: Alright, lads.
- 37:43SPEAKER_00: Quick one about the whole Indian thing.
- 37:45SPEAKER_00: I'm a Cumbrian lad and I now live in Newcastle.
- 37:48SPEAKER_00: When talking to people from the Northeast, they call it an Indians, not an Indian.
- 37:55SPEAKER_00: Is this just the Jory thing, lummy?
- 37:57SPEAKER_00: It's just weird when they do the same with Italian.
- 38:00SPEAKER_00: They say, should we go for an Italians?
- 38:02SPEAKER_00: Just trying to prove to our last that he's she or she is wrong and needs to stop adding the letter S to everything.
- 38:08SPEAKER_00: Love the pod, lads.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: PS Curry is definitely an Indian, Dylan.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: All the best.
- 38:13SPEAKER_00: An adopted Geory Rob.
- 38:15SPEAKER_01: I've had this argument with um our friends from Kilmouth.
- 38:19SPEAKER_01: Obviously, they say in they can't believe we just say Indian.
- 38:21SPEAKER_01: Like it's like Indians, so is it just a northeast geordy thing or not?
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: Don't know.
- 38:26SPEAKER_00: I just thought everyone said we're going for an Indians.
- 38:28SPEAKER_00: I never noticed it until going for an Italians.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: But you do you do do that, don't you?
- 38:33SPEAKER_00: Chinese.
- 38:34SPEAKER_00: You say Chinese.
- 38:35SPEAKER_00: Do you say we say just Indian?
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: Aye and Indian.
- 38:39SPEAKER_00: The only reason I would say now it's for being the only reason I would say it is probably in yeah, 13, yeah.
- 38:45SPEAKER_00: But I definitely would say it should say Indians and Italians.
- 38:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, have you gone the Cumbrian way though?
- 38:52SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 38:53SPEAKER_00: I just thought if I did say, but I think I say that yes still.
- 38:58SPEAKER_01: I've had the argument with uh with the with a Jolly couple that we that we got on really well with.
- 39:02SPEAKER_01: So they say obviously Indians are so I don't think just don't know what the rest of the country is.
- 39:05SPEAKER_00: I don't think that's just the same as uh being an Indian.
- 39:08SPEAKER_00: I don't think Dylan's had any support on this.
- 39:10SPEAKER_00: Oh yes, Jamie Devitt we had one, don't we?
- 39:12SPEAKER_00: Devitt was almost on that wrote in last week as well.
- 39:15SPEAKER_00: Devitt though, Dylan's 100% right.
- 39:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're not though, no, right.
- 39:22SPEAKER_00: Hi guys, love the podcast, the banter you all have with each other, plus the stories told by Dolly and Bushead.
- 39:29SPEAKER_00: I'm surprised no one has mentioned Bushead's time on CFM radio on a morning giving horse racing tips and promoting a gym called Classic World of Fitness.
- 39:40SPEAKER_00: He used to have as a slogan, which something went like this when you've ate all the garlic bread and your belly is as big as your head, lose the weight, gain without any pain.
- 39:50SPEAKER_00: A classic world of fitness.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: Fucking hell, Busshead thinks he's the bollocks.
- 39:54SPEAKER_00: In your last episode, you discussed the best Carlisle player ever in your different eras, with Beardsley, Bridges, and McVitie and some older ones mentioned by Busshead.
- 40:04SPEAKER_00: But who do you believe was the worst player?
- 40:07SPEAKER_00: I'm going to say either Clive Allen or Eric Gates, who were both great players, but apparently here they were absolute shambles.
- 40:16SPEAKER_00: They were both dross.
- 40:17SPEAKER_00: Keep up the good work, lads.
- 40:19SPEAKER_00: And if you can try to get ex-players on, like Kev play out bridges, try and do it.
- 40:23SPEAKER_00: All the best, Davy M Gretna Blues.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: Nice one, Davy.
- 40:28SPEAKER_00: So Clive Allen was a class player, but apparently he came here near the end, absolutely fucked it right off.
- 40:34SPEAKER_00: London boy.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: And Eric Gates was a great player, but again, here.
- 40:39SPEAKER_00: The worst I've played with.
- 40:42SPEAKER_00: It's a big shooter, isn't it?
- 40:44unknown: I can't.
- 40:45SPEAKER_01: See, how was Shay for Carlos?
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: Harry Wally came on loan from Chelsea.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: Really well thought of, he lasted a half.
- 40:52SPEAKER_00: Should have got sent off.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: Shocking.
- 40:54SPEAKER_00: One half.
- 40:55SPEAKER_00: Um that's that's what's come down, isn't it?
- 40:58SPEAKER_01: Like, how bad do you play everything?
- 40:59SPEAKER_01: Like, that's it.
- 41:00SPEAKER_00: Sometimes your first touch, isn't it?
- 41:02SPEAKER_00: Um you give it away or something.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: The fans are going, he's this in your head.
- 41:07SPEAKER_00: You're thinking, oh, it was about six-three, rip, good looking, uh just crap.
- 41:12SPEAKER_00: Did you just win?
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: I think we won 1-0 because we whipped him off.
- 41:17SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 41:18SPEAKER_00: Got on say because half the time, like see somebody's debut, see if your team won.
- 41:22SPEAKER_00: After it, everybody's raving about the new player, aren't they?
- 41:26SPEAKER_00: Even though they've probably been like a six out of ten, they're like, Oh, how good was the new boy just because he won?
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: I would probably say not because he was a bad player.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: Summer bell.
- 41:34SPEAKER_00: I was gonna say summer bell loved coming, he must have been out every day.
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: He was out his missus ran a pub.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: He's the one, Dylan.
- 41:40SPEAKER_00: I said he was seeing Brian Robson's daughter, and just before Brian Robson left Middlesbrough, I weighed him in with a five year old.
- 41:46SPEAKER_01: I remember I remember he was having a coffee.
- 41:47SPEAKER_01: He was having a coffee in the change room holding the paper because obviously, like he was papers upside down, so he wasn't raising.
- 41:53SPEAKER_00: I just was just like that.
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: Just checked the TCP one, isn't it?
- 41:56SPEAKER_00: Used to neck with well, mouthwash the TCP, and then Derek Boo uh Dennis Boothers on it.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um played with we've commentated on a few duds.
- 42:06SPEAKER_00: I don't remember them all.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: Um there's a load of loan players in the cav like Kupchenga Mengui or something like that.
- 42:14SPEAKER_00: A lot of loans don't work though, do they?
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Nah.
- 42:16SPEAKER_00: Especially when the real young kids in the company.
- 42:18SPEAKER_00: Tell you what's the cool stuff.
- 42:19SPEAKER_00: I told Greg not to sign him off yong.
- 42:22SPEAKER_01: Paid 100 grand for a do you know what?
- 42:24SPEAKER_01: He was two years younger than me at Newcastle and him and Chopra were very good together.
- 42:27SPEAKER_01: Was he good?
- 42:29SPEAKER_01: You went up to Hamilton, scored a few goals.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: But that just shows you, doesn't it?
- 42:33SPEAKER_01: Like certain clubs he doesn't work, does he?
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: But in the youth team, it was a he was handy, eh?
- 42:41SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what can you not say?
- 42:42SPEAKER_00: Looking at all of us, me included.
- 42:45SPEAKER_00: Nah, listen, I I can't I can't comment on it.
- 42:50SPEAKER_00: We had a poor spell as a squad.
- 42:52SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 42:53SPEAKER_00: Who was the player at Sunderland that you were looking forward to playing with, and then you just went or anyone in your career when you went looked forward to playing with and went.
- 43:00SPEAKER_00: Mame was probably Paul Warhurst, but he was over the hill, so it's not his fault he'd been old, then was he?
- 43:04SPEAKER_00: Like, because he was like a champ manager legend and I knew him up like he had a weird career in him though, because he just ended up being a centre four out of nowhere, didn't he?
- 43:10SPEAKER_00: And he scored for fun.
- 43:11SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 43:12SPEAKER_00: Then he was centre mid when I played with him.
- 43:15SPEAKER_00: Do you know what?
- 43:16SPEAKER_01: I played with a couple of South Americans in Newcastle, Christian Basidas and Clarence Kuna, and they were both shite, honestly.
- 43:22SPEAKER_01: And they're on the city.
- 43:24SPEAKER_01: I was crap, mummy.
- 43:25SPEAKER_01: Basidas was crap, but in training they were found off 5.5 million.
- 43:28SPEAKER_01: Do you know what though?
- 43:29SPEAKER_01: They used to play like the Rezzies regular and they were terrible in training, but they were always on the bench, and that was because I think they won a lot of money.
- 43:36SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 43:36SPEAKER_01: Which that used to be the annoying thing.
- 43:38SPEAKER_00: The Kuna had got a few games.
- 43:40SPEAKER_01: Oh no, he played a lot, but it doesn't mean he was any good.
- 43:42SPEAKER_01: Gavalan was shy.
- 43:43SPEAKER_01: I think he played with good midfielders, didn't he?
- 43:44SPEAKER_01: Like Gary Speed and that they dragged him through.
- 43:47unknown: Right.
- 43:47SPEAKER_00: I think they've played against him.
- 43:49SPEAKER_00: You get boys that are rubbish and training on it, and then a Saturday comes and just Love him just they produce, and then you think he's bang average and training like all week, like all the technical stuff goes.
- 44:00SPEAKER_00: It's mostly all possessions and keep the ball in it.
- 44:02SPEAKER_00: And then on a Saturday, they'll be like Peter Reed had to w word me.
- 44:06SPEAKER_00: He went, Stop hammering Kev Kyle.
- 44:08SPEAKER_00: You've mentioned this keeping the ball.
- 44:09SPEAKER_00: I went, and I but I don't want him on my team.
- 44:11SPEAKER_00: And then he goes, On a Saturday takes all yeah shapes and sizes, and Kev was top draw, top draw in the game.
- 44:17SPEAKER_00: You just ping it.
- 44:18SPEAKER_00: I think I've guessed it.
- 44:19SPEAKER_00: I think I've said it before.
- 44:20SPEAKER_01: He destroyed us in reserve team.
- 44:21SPEAKER_01: Did he?
- 44:23SPEAKER_01: Kingston Park, Gary Caldwell and David Cowan were the centre halves, and he was unstoppable.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: Kev Kyle.
- 44:28SPEAKER_01: Oh frightening night.
- 44:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, just speak someone in size and stuff.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: Oh, that was it.
- 44:32SPEAKER_00: I was speaking to someone on holiday who knew him and said I was he was like still baggage handling back to that after playing for like Rangers and Parts and Coventry and Summerland.
- 44:42SPEAKER_00: Had that mindset though, didn't he?
- 44:44SPEAKER_00: Just have a low point football and walk ins, do you know?
- 44:46SPEAKER_00: I'm not going to sit about if you're playing.
- 44:47SPEAKER_00: Taxi driving that now, I mean.
- 44:48SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 44:50SPEAKER_00: It's it's I should have thought a bit more about because I've seen some crap commentating and playing it.
- 44:56SPEAKER_00: You've done it for a long time though, didn't you?
- 44:58unknown: Some bad players.
- 44:59SPEAKER_00: Some good ins though.
- 45:00SPEAKER_00: Jimmy Lawrence was a good player.
- 45:02SPEAKER_00: He ended up at Rangers for a bit.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: Derby.
- 45:04SPEAKER_00: Oh yes.
- 45:07SPEAKER_00: He was on loan for a man you've done well.
- 45:08SPEAKER_00: Tom Lawrence, no.
- 45:09SPEAKER_00: Tom Lawrence.
- 45:11SPEAKER_00: Tom Lawrence, yeah.
- 45:12SPEAKER_00: I think he's in America.
- 45:14SPEAKER_00: Australia now.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 45:15SPEAKER_00: No, he was very good.
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Right?
- 45:18SPEAKER_00: Oh look at this.
- 45:21SPEAKER_00: Fair play to who's wrote in.
- 45:23SPEAKER_00: I can't disclose it.
- 45:26SPEAKER_00: Or take a sip.
- 45:29SPEAKER_00: Because this is fucking outrageous.
- 45:34SPEAKER_00: Facebook.
- 45:35SPEAKER_00: Facebook done me dirty.
- 45:37SPEAKER_00: Anonymous.
- 45:38SPEAKER_00: Might be able to work it out.
- 45:40SPEAKER_00: When playing for Carlisle United back in the day, I loved a night out.
- 45:44SPEAKER_00: Concrete Tuesdays, Saturdays would be a few bars, then down to mood, terminal one, party party, time bar, and unit.
- 45:52SPEAKER_00: At the time, my partner.
- 45:54SPEAKER_00: But it just here phenomenal times.
- 45:57SPEAKER_00: Just we skip.
- 45:58SPEAKER_00: I hope not.
- 46:00SPEAKER_00: At the time, my partner, who didn't live in the area, was fuming that my manager had us in on Sundays for warm downs and training.
- 46:07SPEAKER_00: He didn't.
- 46:09SPEAKER_00: I just wanted to go out with the lads.
- 46:11SPEAKER_00: The plan was always the same.
- 46:14SPEAKER_00: Take my time after home games getting changed.
- 46:16SPEAKER_00: Then round to the clubhouse where I could claim my Saturday night bed.
- 46:21SPEAKER_00: There was always a spare, as all the other lads would get off home to see their family and partners.
- 46:25SPEAKER_00: You know, proper people.
- 46:28SPEAKER_00: I would then ring my girlfriend and put on the tired voice.
- 46:32SPEAKER_00: No FaceTime then.
- 46:33SPEAKER_00: Pretended to be fed up and worn out when really I was adding shock waves, shockwaves, maximum hole gel to my bonnet.
- 46:41SPEAKER_00: Quick spray of CKB, and I was ready for a warm-up pint in the beehive.
- 46:46SPEAKER_00: Around 9:30, I would leave whatever bar I was in and run to a nice quiet alley to make my good night phone call.
- 46:54SPEAKER_00: Pretend I was in bed.
- 46:56SPEAKER_00: Good that I wasn't home.
- 46:57SPEAKER_00: Blah blah blah.
- 46:58SPEAKER_00: Love you too.
- 46:59SPEAKER_00: No, you put the phone down.
- 47:00SPEAKER_00: No, you put the phone down.
- 47:02SPEAKER_00: Click.
- 47:03SPEAKER_00: Sprint round back to the bar, buzzing.
- 47:05SPEAKER_00: Job done.
- 47:06SPEAKER_00: Just don't lean on my phone and I'll be fine.
- 47:08SPEAKER_00: Lock the phone screen the lot.
- 47:10SPEAKER_00: So about this time, Facebook had just started started to gather pace.
- 47:15SPEAKER_00: And various companies or bars were taking photos and putting them on their page.
- 47:21SPEAKER_00: Listen, I'm not silly.
- 47:22SPEAKER_00: I could see them coming.
- 47:24SPEAKER_00: Get myself out the way and let the flash go.
- 47:26SPEAKER_00: Then they were off.
- 47:27SPEAKER_00: Happy days.
- 47:28SPEAKER_00: Fast forward to one particular Wednesday, my day off.
- 47:32SPEAKER_00: A few of the lads had been told off on the Monday for letting their hair down on a Sunday night.
- 47:37SPEAKER_00: They had been spotted on the Facebook site in walkabout from but by one of the photos by a member of staff.
- 47:43SPEAKER_00: To gain brownie points, I had taught my partner about this, as I was a good boy that night, and we had talked all night on the Sunday.
- 47:50SPEAKER_00: I was hammering the lads for going out.
- 47:53SPEAKER_00: So on this Wednesday, I headed round to hers and wasn't greeted at the door like usual.
- 47:58SPEAKER_00: So I walked in and up to her room, nothing.
- 48:01SPEAKER_00: So I went into her dad's study where the big fuck off computer and printer was.
- 48:05SPEAKER_00: Her face not so excited to see me.
- 48:08SPEAKER_00: The screen, Facebook, time bar, Carlisle, date, the previous Saturday.
- 48:13SPEAKER_00: The photo, three of the lads I was with.
- 48:16SPEAKER_00: No sign of me.
- 48:17SPEAKER_00: I confidently say, ah, the lads, what they're like.
- 48:20SPEAKER_00: Like a prime Columbo, she looks at me, looks at the screen, points at me, points back at the smallest of small corners of the photo, staring back at me, a wrist, a simple wrist.
- 48:34SPEAKER_00: Only this wrist had a band on it.
- 48:36SPEAKER_00: A band that was given to me by my girlfriend from a recent holiday with a big K on it.
- 48:41SPEAKER_00: Fuck what Facebook has done me.
- 48:44SPEAKER_00: Needless to say, that wasn't the best day off.
- 48:47SPEAKER_00: And suddenly, by magic, the gaffer Sunday session stopped, and so did my Saturday nights.
- 48:53SPEAKER_00: Just to add, Lummy was the ultimate team player.
- 48:57SPEAKER_00: He was single for a good chunk of his time at Carlisle when I was there.
- 49:00SPEAKER_00: And even though he was not out sometimes, we pretended he was, using the excuse that he was lonely.
- 49:05SPEAKER_00: All the lads did.
- 49:06SPEAKER_00: We would stay at his house in Newcastle, partners, fuming.
- 49:10SPEAKER_00: So when we went in the players' lounge, the girls would give him daggers, but fair play, he wasn't arsed.
- 49:15SPEAKER_00: Great podcast, lads, and great memories.
- 49:17SPEAKER_00: Skip, I've had a few with you over the years too.
- 49:20SPEAKER_00: Hope you are well, pal.
- 49:22SPEAKER_00: But oh wait.
- 49:23SPEAKER_00: I'd have to tell you off air.
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: Tell you what?
- 49:25SPEAKER_00: That's how she That's unlucky that I need.
- 49:29SPEAKER_00: So the K is his lass's name.
- 49:32SPEAKER_00: It's the Ks on the band.
- 49:34SPEAKER_00: Ah right.
- 49:35SPEAKER_00: And you could wear them playing back then.
- 49:37SPEAKER_00: So fair play, I mean, like looking through all sorts of things.
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: Do you know what?
- 49:43SPEAKER_00: There wasn't even WhatsApp then.
- 49:45SPEAKER_00: So you couldn't even say the lasses are all in the group saying check the pictures, check number 41.
- 49:50SPEAKER_00: Oh, that now that's you know what it was called?
- 49:53SPEAKER_00: That's Breadlock Well for it.
- 49:54SPEAKER_00: It was full island VIP or something, wasn't it?
- 49:56SPEAKER_00: Right in the castle photography, and you get key rings.
- 49:59SPEAKER_00: You get the photo and you put in a key ring, that's what's done them, that sort of stuff.
- 50:04SPEAKER_00: But I was laughing my tits off.
- 50:05SPEAKER_00: It's fair place.
- 50:07SPEAKER_00: Camera phones, camera phones, oh camera phones, thank god.
- 50:12SPEAKER_00: I think I appear on that message board once on a Sunday night.
- 50:15SPEAKER_00: And Dolly had give us the Monday off, uh no one else knew.
- 50:18SPEAKER_00: And I was in like Blue Bamboo in Newcastle and it was on the message board, and I rang Barbara and we'd get that down.
- 50:23SPEAKER_00: So was petrol.
- 50:27SPEAKER_00: Alright, bad luck there, unlucky.
- 50:30SPEAKER_00: Aye, good to see everyone's coming back.
- 50:31SPEAKER_00: So people have been caught in the gym.
- 50:33SPEAKER_00: What else have we had?
- 50:34SPEAKER_00: People have been caught there.
- 50:36SPEAKER_00: Set up.
- 50:37SPEAKER_00: Then they come back down.
- 50:38SPEAKER_00: Set up, bloody hell.
- 50:41SPEAKER_00: Oh my god.
- 50:42SPEAKER_00: What's he doing?
- 50:43SPEAKER_00: Last one from John Tyson.
- 50:46SPEAKER_00: Alright, lads, just came across these.
- 50:48SPEAKER_00: Reckon skipping yourself would look a million dollars wearing these in the cali.
- 50:52SPEAKER_00: So it's a fingers I sent today, the crocs with the decent go faster stripes.
- 50:58SPEAKER_00: Bit much.
- 50:59SPEAKER_00: Trainer, croc, slider cross.
- 51:02SPEAKER_00: Curry, defo Indian, and not a takeaway.
- 51:04SPEAKER_00: So sitting in.
- 51:05SPEAKER_00: Try the Zuri or Stannox Tandori, Stanx, which is the boozers, crown and thistle.
- 51:11SPEAKER_00: In Stanics.
- 51:12SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 51:13SPEAKER_00: Just down the road from Stanks.
- 51:14SPEAKER_00: Keep up the crack lads for John Tennyson.
- 51:16SPEAKER_00: So you've got yourself a little knight out there.
- 51:18SPEAKER_00: You've got the crown at Stanix.
- 51:20SPEAKER_00: You've also got the cat.
- 51:21SPEAKER_00: And the spider and flies reopened, but it's got a different neck.
- 51:23SPEAKER_00: It's gonna be a Persian restaurant, though.
- 51:25SPEAKER_00: It says bar and glove outside on the on the side.
- 51:27SPEAKER_00: Is that not a restaurant?
- 51:30SPEAKER_00: Probably is.
- 51:31SPEAKER_00: Has anyone tried the Stanix Tornoria since we spoke?
- 51:34SPEAKER_00: You've not been there.
- 51:35SPEAKER_00: I've been through.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: I've never been.
- 51:37SPEAKER_00: That's nice.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: Happy with it.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: Yeah, it's good.
- 51:38SPEAKER_00: Go there.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: It's good.
- 51:39SPEAKER_00: It's good to go and sit in and I usually get a takeaway if I'm getting a cut like an ND now.
- 51:44SPEAKER_00: But I don't I don't get how much they go for a nice nice meal.
- 51:47SPEAKER_01: No, it's it's good in there.
- 51:49SPEAKER_01: We were there a couple of months ago, I think.
- 51:51SPEAKER_01: My lot on and Hoolie's lot on it was top draw.
- 51:54SPEAKER_00: I've got a confession to make, haven't I?
- 51:55SPEAKER_00: Go on.
- 51:56SPEAKER_00: Been hammering you about your Chinese order.
- 51:58SPEAKER_00: And what did you get yesterday?
- 51:59SPEAKER_00: Yesterday.
- 52:00SPEAKER_00: On a Monday, by the way.
- 52:02SPEAKER_00: This is on Monday.
- 52:03SPEAKER_00: Where from and what are you getting?
- 52:05SPEAKER_00: Right, shall I tell you what my day was yesterday?
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: Go for it.
- 52:07SPEAKER_00: I got on a train.
- 52:08SPEAKER_00: Actually, I didn't.
- 52:09SPEAKER_00: I had a pipe in Lloyd's at 10 o'clock and a breakfast wrap.
- 52:13SPEAKER_00: 10 o'clock?
- 52:14SPEAKER_00: When I'm like it's normal.
- 52:15SPEAKER_00: I went over.
- 52:16SPEAKER_00: Well, this is a day plan.
- 52:17SPEAKER_00: It's been a long time in the making.
- 52:19SPEAKER_00: Went over to the Cali.
- 52:21SPEAKER_00: My train was coming, so I got a half.
- 52:23SPEAKER_00: Cali owner said, we've got a sister bar where you're going called the Imperial.
- 52:27SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 52:28SPEAKER_00: Went up to Dumfries.
- 52:29SPEAKER_00: And I went up there and we done the Imperial bar, we done Dickie's bar, we done can't remember half of the done about five or six bars.
- 52:38SPEAKER_00: Monday club.
- 52:39SPEAKER_00: Racing was on.
- 52:40SPEAKER_00: Didn't have any luck with that.
- 52:42SPEAKER_00: But a bloody good day.
- 52:43SPEAKER_00: And then back on the train at five o'clock, half an hour back.
- 52:47SPEAKER_00: Another drink in the cali.
- 52:49SPEAKER_00: Where else did we go?
- 52:50SPEAKER_00: Might have got one more and then I got a Chinese, but I went very basic.
- 52:55SPEAKER_00: King prone chow mean.
- 52:57SPEAKER_00: Salt and pepper, spare ribs.
- 52:59SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 53:00SPEAKER_00: Curry sauce.
- 53:01SPEAKER_00: Prone crackers.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: There you go.
- 53:02SPEAKER_00: No chills.
- 53:03SPEAKER_00: No chips?
- 53:07SPEAKER_00: Yummies?
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Yummies.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 53:08SPEAKER_00: Aye.
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: Nice.
- 53:09SPEAKER_00: I used to go in yummies when Dempseys was around.
- 53:12SPEAKER_00: It's moved now, around the other way.
- 53:13SPEAKER_00: So I recommend that.
- 53:14SPEAKER_00: There was a pet ease in Dumfries as well.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: Was there?
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:17SPEAKER_00: I didn't see I put the picture in.
- 53:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 53:19SPEAKER_00: Oh, busy on us.
- 53:20SPEAKER_00: Not many out.
- 53:21SPEAKER_00: No, on there.
- 53:22SPEAKER_00: So Dumfries, we might have think about that for our little jaunt out.
- 53:26SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we'll have to get it to Well now.
- 53:28SPEAKER_00: We can go take a game in for take the Gretna game in.
- 53:31SPEAKER_00: Hopefully the 12 o'clock kick off.
- 53:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:34SPEAKER_00: Carry on straight up.
- 53:35SPEAKER_00: Could request it.
- 53:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we could that.
- 53:38SPEAKER_00: So what we're saying, season starts soon.
- 53:40SPEAKER_00: Carlisle's very soon.
- 53:42SPEAKER_00: Gretna on Saturday.
- 53:44SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 53:44SPEAKER_00: First game Saturday.
- 53:46SPEAKER_00: Looking forward to getting going.
- 53:47SPEAKER_00: Home and away.
- 53:48SPEAKER_00: Home.
- 53:49SPEAKER_00: Have you got uh Cali Braves?
- 53:51SPEAKER_00: Do you say midweek games?
- 53:53SPEAKER_00: I think there's one in the week after on the Wednesday, I'm sure.
- 53:56SPEAKER_00: So yeah, games are coming.
- 53:59SPEAKER_00: Um and then obviously the games on the what National League can't be far behind, can it?
- 54:05SPEAKER_00: 8th August.
- 54:06SPEAKER_00: Worthing at home.
- 54:08SPEAKER_00: Gotta start well.
- 54:09SPEAKER_00: Tell the first game.
- 54:10SPEAKER_01: Yeah, they've got to be they've got to be convincingly.
- 54:12SPEAKER_01: Well, not convinced, just got to get three points on there, but they've got to sort of make a you're kind of waiting to see what the managers get a stamp on things, haven't you?
- 54:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 54:19SPEAKER_00: New signings.
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.
- 54:20SPEAKER_00: I'm looking forward.
- 54:21SPEAKER_00: He talks well, but I know a lot of managers have talked well, but I I do think he's got a bit about him.
- 54:26SPEAKER_00: He's got a lot of experience in this league, and I like what he's saying.
- 54:29SPEAKER_00: We should be winning league.
- 54:30SPEAKER_00: Carlisle should not be in this league.
- 54:32SPEAKER_00: Whereas instead of like covering his back, he's saying, No, I agree, we should be up there.
- 54:36SPEAKER_01: We maybe mentioned this last.
- 54:37SPEAKER_01: Have we have we done this since the played work at Nunar?
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: No.
- 54:40SPEAKER_01: Someone put um just some like an account on Twitter the next day.
- 54:45SPEAKER_01: Terrible start for Rob Elliott getting bait off work.
- 54:47SPEAKER_00: It's Andre Eanes.
- 54:48SPEAKER_00: Like, look into it.
- 54:49SPEAKER_01: Did it, Robert?
- 54:50SPEAKER_00: Was Rob not even there?
- 54:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, you won't even there.
- 54:52SPEAKER_01: It was Andre Eames like guilt here playing, wasn't it?
- 54:54SPEAKER_01: I mean, great experience for them, but you say, like, oh, I've to a terrible start and that's the case.
- 54:57SPEAKER_00: I seen not one of the balls at it.
- 54:59SPEAKER_00: After the game saying credit to the club and that, let the youth team handle the same.
- 55:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, credit to Birchie and Jamie Devitt because I watched them against Carlisle City, and although they wanted to play out from the back in that, every time the ball went in the midfield, they were shouting at the midfield second ball, second ball, second ball, like tackle.
- 55:15SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I've worked but to you a bit and obviously dev as well, but they've they've still got that kind of old school do the basics.
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 55:21SPEAKER_00: So I mean, like obviously now football's evolved and everybody wants to play out and stuff and put it through the lines, but he's very much on like hard work, setting balls, and especially if they're trying to get into the first team, and that's the sort of league it is, isn't it?
- 55:33SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so they've got to get off.
- 55:36SPEAKER_00: I'd love to see the stats on Spain's like work right off the ball.
- 55:39SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they just tire teams out with the ball that they can afford to once teams get the ball, like teams like England they get the ball, they think they can take a breather, do you know what I mean?
- 55:48SPEAKER_00: And then you've got a Spanish team who just like flickers all on them, yeah.
- 55:51SPEAKER_00: It was uh there was a bit good argument on Keane they were arguing the other day about how the game's changed and it's more like passing and moving and stuff like that, but I think Keane was saying like if you get up against them and things like that, say, but you're tired because they've kept it so much you can't always get and and and give that reducer.
- 56:12SPEAKER_00: It's like the old Barcelona member was Pepsi team 2010, 12.
- 56:16SPEAKER_00: When they just man, you were just play, play, play.
- 56:19SPEAKER_00: And you know what's like sometimes like you play teams that just total ball possession, yeah, you get the run around.
- 56:24SPEAKER_00: Do you know what I mean?
- 56:25SPEAKER_00: Like it's tough to play against, and then when you get it, you feel heavy.
- 56:28SPEAKER_00: The manager shouting like keep the ball and make runs, and you're saying fee, you play a safe pass because you're just trying to get a fee.
- 56:34SPEAKER_00: And whoever you pass it, it was knackered, yeah, and then they won the ball back in good areas.
- 56:38SPEAKER_00: I think the boy Lit Lamar and all these kind of boys are like instantly 1v1s right at you.
- 56:42SPEAKER_00: That um that pep team for boss got a bit boring in the end because they just had it constantly, but it was still good to watch.
- 56:49SPEAKER_01: What about when Gary Neville said about England via Argentina?
- 56:52SPEAKER_01: They should have just man-marked Messi.
- 56:54SPEAKER_01: Yeah, like Roy Keane's going, People have tried to do this for 20 years, like you can't do it.
- 56:59SPEAKER_01: I agree.
- 57:00SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I do, but then I agree with what Neville said when he said, Right, Nico, right, just stay with them and just send them in.
- 57:07SPEAKER_00: Plug that area where he's getting joy in it, because he's getting it in that kind of outside channel, yeah, coming in and whipping balls in.
- 57:14SPEAKER_00: So if you put somebody there, naturally he's gonna move to try drift and get on the ball or drive him wide.
- 57:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, his his crosses from deep were as good as like you know, when you're in the final third, he was crossing it with like whip and quality, and you're like, What the f I don't know, his class on it.
- 57:29SPEAKER_00: His right foot as well.
- 57:30SPEAKER_00: I don't know, just to study up in the bottom, go on.
- 57:33SPEAKER_00: Still sick about it though.
- 57:34SPEAKER_00: Pick it a goal being being really thinking, Pickfoot could have probably let the ball go over the ball, which led to the corner, which led to uh and so oh right, yeah.
- 57:44SPEAKER_00: You think it was gonna go what about the first goal?
- 57:47SPEAKER_00: Save it, think it's harsh.
- 57:49SPEAKER_00: See my billing him said, Yeah, it's in the middle of the fucking goal.
- 57:52SPEAKER_00: What like as after he's gonna get it?
- 57:53SPEAKER_00: Yeah, on the TV, your camera was on him, he's watching it, and he you could read that he was like in the middle of the fucking goal because he closed it, didn't he?
- 58:01SPEAKER_00: He was on the floor.
- 58:01SPEAKER_00: I seen an angle though behind the goal where Pickford was, and there is like a few people in front of him, and then it comes quick.
- 58:08SPEAKER_00: But see the ball gone in because he's I think see the top, top, top goalies.
- 58:13SPEAKER_00: Save it.
- 58:14SPEAKER_00: I don't think it goes in.
- 58:15SPEAKER_00: Don't think it goes in.
- 58:16SPEAKER_00: Can't be slagging northeast lads.
- 58:18SPEAKER_00: It's a mark of mini.
- 58:20SPEAKER_00: Do you remember when they got to the semi-final against Croatia into their 18th?
- 58:23SPEAKER_00: They were all heroes coming back, weren't they?
- 58:25SPEAKER_00: And it was showing like Harry Kane like treating himself to golf, and it showed like Jordan Henderson spending time with his dad who recovered from and the next thing, just seen this Marquis in Jordan Pickford's house with Cher, believing look, and he's on his mate's uh neat top one on his mate's uh blue wicker and then his lass, his lasses same, and they're like looking at each other, mortal like uh you know, singing out sounds about right.
- 58:49SPEAKER_00: You're gonna glow up aye that's Mac Loon watch.
- 58:53SPEAKER_00: See the oh yeah see the see the wives like these players, man, on social media coming across them, it does my head then.
- 58:59SPEAKER_00: What about if she's in like Chanel doing like a personalised shopping experience and she's putting all her social media and outfits for the World Cup and it all matching and the bags and and I get you've got the money to do it right, but it's just like come on man it just wouldn't happen 10-15 years ago, do you know what I mean?
- 59:15SPEAKER_00: Like you imagine like Arts Ferguson that but they would have said to the players about the way like wouldn't have turn it in eye settle down a bit, do you know what I mean?
- 59:22SPEAKER_00: They would like to say tell that tell your missus to settle down, turn it in aye.
- 59:26SPEAKER_00: But you're just bringing unwanted attention.
- 59:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, the wives would go, I alright.
- 59:29SPEAKER_00: Now they'll go, who's he talking about?
- 59:30SPEAKER_00: But now they're now their personality, now they're big personalities, really.
- 59:33SPEAKER_00: What about her having Pickford on the back of a top?
- 59:36SPEAKER_00: Or did she?
- 59:37SPEAKER_00: Some of the nuts.
- 59:38SPEAKER_00: She would have not allowed.
- 59:39SPEAKER_00: She would have not at all.
- 59:42SPEAKER_00: Hey, your mate got some grief, Chris Boyd.
- 59:45SPEAKER_00: What for?
- 59:46SPEAKER_00: For like just wind up messing in the Argentinian end and like he's a typical like a rather comment.
- 59:52SPEAKER_00: Like Chris, something's the same.
- 59:53SPEAKER_00: Like they they know what's good.
- 59:56SPEAKER_00: Do you mean what's good?
- 59:58SPEAKER_00: But uh like I'm not not saying they just lie all the time, but they know certain things to touch on.
- 1:00:03SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I'm not saying I'm a I know all the games and what to play, but I think Kundi and Hohor have got to be careful because it's the same thing all the time, they're gonna have to like kind of twist a little bit, but it is funny.
- 1:00:17SPEAKER_00: The whole Angie stuff kicked them off, didn't it?
- 1:00:19SPEAKER_00: Nah, that's what gave them that, and they thought, you know what?
- 1:00:23SPEAKER_00: Nobody will listen to them really like until that.
- 1:00:26SPEAKER_00: And then I even started watching like Tottenham get beat again.
- 1:00:29SPEAKER_00: Let's go see what they do.
- 1:00:30SPEAKER_00: I mean, it was funny with the mask and all that, but as you said, the evolve.
- 1:00:34SPEAKER_00: Do you mean like what's next?
- 1:00:35SPEAKER_00: It was good quality now because he's bitter as fuck, John Terry.
- 1:00:39SPEAKER_00: He was alright on this show with Simon Jordan, Pierce because he's bitter about not getting jobs, so he he puts his case across and hammers people.
- 1:00:47SPEAKER_00: I'm like, that's better.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: Alright, good.
- 1:00:48SPEAKER_00: Not sitting on the fence.
- 1:00:50SPEAKER_00: But he there's a reason he doesn't get jobs.
- 1:00:53SPEAKER_00: Simon Jordan, do you like him?
- 1:00:54SPEAKER_00: Aye, I do.
- 1:00:55SPEAKER_00: I've got a lot of time for this.
- 1:00:56SPEAKER_00: I read his book years ago, he's got a new one coming out.
- 1:00:58SPEAKER_00: He's had some life for him.
- 1:00:59SPEAKER_01: He's just been clever, ain't he?
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_01: Clever.
- 1:01:00SPEAKER_01: He's just got he's just another one for there, you know, the Smith brothers, the boxers.
- 1:01:03SPEAKER_01: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:04SPEAKER_00: I think he's been on, I think he's quite close to that Paul Smith.
- 1:01:06SPEAKER_00: They do that boxing show together on Talk Sporting.
- 1:01:08SPEAKER_00: Jim tries to wind them up, Jim White, doesn't he?
- 1:01:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 1:01:11SPEAKER_00: Or we'll give a little John last.
- 1:01:12SPEAKER_00: I'll tell you what, we'll give a little shout-out to John Coleman.
- 1:01:14SPEAKER_00: Oh, yes, he's in your podcast.
- 1:01:16SPEAKER_00: Do podcasts, the notebook, the blues notebook, is it?
- 1:01:19SPEAKER_00: The blues notebook, so John Coleman who writes the news and start.
