- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to Mark Simone on wor Hey, let's take some calls.
- 0:06Speaker 1: That's eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 0:10Speaker 1: the number? Eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 0:13Speaker 1: Let's go to Chuck and Staten Island. Chuck, how you doing?
- 0:17Speaker 2: Oh? Pretty good? Mark. They're arguing about the fourteenth Amendment.
- 0:21Speaker 2: But in eighteen sixty six, the Civil Rights Act that
- 0:24Speaker 2: was passed said clearly that foreign parents of children born
- 0:30Speaker 2: in America were not American citizens. And if that wasn't enough,
- 0:36Speaker 2: the McCarn Wolter Act of nineteen fifty two said the
- 0:38Speaker 2: same thing.
- 0:39Speaker 1: You've been watching too many Perry Mason episodes. You've been
- 0:42Speaker 1: watching a lot to it. Well, now, according to the
- 0:45Speaker 1: McCarran this was act. The hearings are on now you
- 0:48Speaker 1: can follow it. Nothing. They'll explain to.
- 0:50Speaker 2: You the laws on the pluck.
- 0:51Speaker 1: I know, but we're not experts on this, and I
- 0:54Speaker 1: am oh excuse me. Oh, that's it. It's official. Word
- 0:58Speaker 1: has come down from Chuck and Staten Island. That's it.
- 1:01Speaker 1: Tell us Supreme Court that can adjourn. It is settled.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Let's go to Charles in Miller Place. Charles, how you doing?
- 1:09Speaker 3: Yes?
- 1:09Speaker 1: Hi, I had a question regarding Bruce Blakeman.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yes, so what I had heard that he had he
- 1:15Speaker 3: had applied for the matching funds and then they had
- 1:20Speaker 3: changed the rules.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Is that the case, Well, uh no, that I don't know.
- 1:25Speaker 1: But they have just totally corrupted that board. It's supposed
- 1:28Speaker 1: to be fifty to fifty Republicans and Democrats making the decisions.
- 1:32Speaker 1: They've made sure it's majority Democrats. And Hochel is in
- 1:36Speaker 1: panic because Blakeman is making big progress in the recent
- 1:40Speaker 1: polls and they got to stop him. So they're trying
- 1:42Speaker 1: to deny him as matching funds. He'll appeal this and
- 1:46Speaker 1: hopefully win. But they also got to force them to
- 1:50Speaker 1: uncorrupt the campaign finance board. Make it a mixture, an
- 1:54Speaker 1: equal mixture of Republicans and Democrats from now, and that
- 1:58Speaker 1: was the original idea of it. Let's go to Joe
- 2:00Speaker 1: and Staten Island. Joe, how you doing good? Mark has
- 2:04Speaker 1: to going good? Question where the next.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Net export is of oil?
- 2:08Speaker 3: Right now?
- 2:09Speaker 4: Why can't Trump get all the oil executives in the
- 2:11Speaker 4: country together and basically say for the next three months,
- 2:14Speaker 4: we're going to nationalize the industry. We're going to keep
- 2:16Speaker 4: our royal in the country. And we're going to set
- 2:18Speaker 4: a fixed price of forty dollars a battle for the
- 2:20Speaker 4: next three months.
- 2:22Speaker 1: Have you ever seen these guys that run the oil companies?
- 2:27Speaker 1: Not really, it's a bunch of JR. Ewings And who's
- 2:31Speaker 1: the guy on land man, Kevin Costner.
- 2:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:35Speaker 4: Does Trump have the authority to nationalize it?
- 2:38Speaker 1: Yea could, but you don't do that. I think the
- 2:39Speaker 1: last time that was done John F. Kennedy and the
- 2:41Speaker 1: steel crisis in nineteen sixty two. Remember he nationalized the steel.
- 2:47Speaker 1: But it's not at the crisis point where you could
- 2:50Speaker 1: do that. But the problem is again it happened in
- 2:54Speaker 1: the last few weeks, American oil companies raising their price
- 2:58Speaker 1: for no reason. It'll all be settled, you'll see tonight
- 3:01Speaker 1: they'll announce two more weeks, two and a half more
- 3:04Speaker 1: weeks of the war. It'll be over in three weeks,
- 3:07Speaker 1: four weeks. Prices they did spike up, but they will
- 3:11Speaker 1: not only come back down, they'll probably plunge, plunge after
- 3:15Speaker 1: the war, and that upsets the oil industry more. They
- 3:20Speaker 1: don't like the plarsist to plunge. Let's go to Elvis
- 3:24Speaker 1: in Bridgeport. Is that your name, Elvis?
- 3:27Speaker 3: Yes, sir, you would think, you would think.
- 3:31Speaker 1: More people would use that name, Elvis Presley, Elvis Duran.
- 3:34Speaker 1: But why aren't there more Elvis.
- 3:36Speaker 3: Is I don't know. I don't know why. I'm probably
- 3:42Speaker 3: the only Italian with that name.
- 3:44Speaker 1: Were you named after Elvis Presley?
- 3:47Speaker 3: I have a cousin in Canada that's named after Elvis too,
- 3:51Speaker 3: so I guess I'm not the only one.
- 3:53Speaker 1: So yeah, your family, you wear those leisure suits with
- 3:56Speaker 1: the sparkly things all over them.
- 3:59Speaker 3: No, no, no, they're not that. I mean, that's a
- 4:03Speaker 3: good one.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You ever eat those Elvis sandwiches with the bacon and
- 4:06Speaker 1: the peanut butter and the bananas.
- 4:07Speaker 4: And.
- 4:09Speaker 3: No, no, no, no, that's too sweet for me. I'm
- 4:12Speaker 3: not into the sweet things though.
- 4:14Speaker 1: And you live in Bridgeport.
- 4:15Speaker 3: The reason, yes, sir.
- 4:17Speaker 1: If you call that living, but okay, go ahead.
- 4:21Speaker 3: The reason I'm calling you and bothering you today is
- 4:24Speaker 3: that I don't trust the Republicans in the midterms. It's
- 4:28Speaker 3: like they don't they don't fight back enough to the Democrats,
- 4:32Speaker 3: and they just barrayed them all the time on the media,
- 4:35Speaker 3: and it's just it's crazy and they're lying and and
- 4:39Speaker 3: it's hypocrisy and people believe that.
- 4:42Speaker 1: You're not wrong. But it's the problem is for Republicans,
- 4:46Speaker 1: you know, they do politics. For Democrats, it's like full
- 4:49Speaker 1: time business. It's like war to them, not twenty four
- 4:52Speaker 1: to seven.
- 4:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like in their genetics or something. They're just
- 4:56Speaker 3: just waiting to get on the media and just baraied Republicans.
- 4:59Speaker 1: They said, that's Democrats. It happens. They're like at war
- 5:03Speaker 1: full time twenty fourth. You know, for Republicans, they're like
- 5:05Speaker 1: country club guys. It's like, you know, they're not as
- 5:09Speaker 1: aggressive at all that stuff. But you know, when they
- 5:11Speaker 1: say there's no voter fraud, you don't have to worry
- 5:13Speaker 1: about voter fraud. You live in Bridgeport. You can at
- 5:16Speaker 1: chest to the fact.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Yeah I got a mayor down here. That's not too yeah, exactly.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Yeah. If you think there's no voter fraud ever, go
- 5:24Speaker 1: visit Bridgeport, Waterbury, Hartford, Connecticut is famous for famous for
- 5:31Speaker 1: voter fraud. You remember when Stephan Awski was running against
- 5:35Speaker 1: Lamont and at one o'clock the results came in. He
- 5:38Speaker 1: won won by three points and his team told me
- 5:43Speaker 1: we lost. I said, well, I see it right there
- 5:45Speaker 1: in the computer. You won by three from n you
- 5:47Speaker 1: got to win by seven to cover the cheating. They'll
- 5:49Speaker 1: take it away in the morning. Remember. Sure enough, the
- 5:51Speaker 1: next morning the votes got all the They actually said
- 5:54Speaker 1: the ballots got wet, we have to recount them, and
- 5:56Speaker 1: sure enough he lost. Let's go to Dennis and round
- 6:00Speaker 1: book bound Brook. Dennis.
- 6:01Speaker 5: How you doing, Yeah, good morning, Mark.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Mark.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Everybody is talking about the fact that only two percent
- 6:06Speaker 5: of our oil comes from through the hormone straits, and uh,
- 6:11Speaker 5: you know, and yet we see the gas going up
- 6:13Speaker 5: to four dollars, and you know, it hurts us Republicans,
- 6:17Speaker 5: you know in.
- 6:17Speaker 6: Terms of the media that it hurts you for two
- 6:19Speaker 6: about it hurts somebody's arm because it only hurts you
- 6:23Speaker 6: for two weeks and in a month of gas prices
- 6:25Speaker 6: will plunge, there'll be a crash in oil prices, and
- 6:28Speaker 6: nobody will remember these couple of weeks.
- 6:31Speaker 5: You know, because he mentioned this morning or I think
- 6:34Speaker 5: I read that. You know, even if he settles something,
- 6:36Speaker 5: apparently they're still not going to be opening the horm
- 6:38Speaker 5: move straight.
- 6:39Speaker 1: So this thing is no, no, they'll get it off.
- 6:40Speaker 1: It'll be open by by May. And again gas prices
- 6:44Speaker 1: spiked to four dollars for a couple of weeks. I
- 6:46Speaker 1: remember during the Biden administration it spiked the four dollars
- 6:49Speaker 1: for four years. But again, this spike that we had
- 6:52Speaker 1: for a few weeks will be totally gone and nobody
- 6:56Speaker 1: in the summer will remember the spike at all. In fact,
- 6:59Speaker 1: you probably once you get all this change in Iran,
- 7:02Speaker 1: you'll probably get the biggest plunge you've ever seen in
- 7:04Speaker 1: oil prices. As John Carney, who's an expert on this
- 7:08Speaker 1: Last Hour explained, the oil companies are going to be furious.
- 7:11Speaker 1: They don't like fifty dollars a barrel. They like one
- 7:15Speaker 1: hundred dollars a barrel. They don't like when it's down
- 7:17Speaker 1: to fifty a barrel, which it probably will be in
- 7:21Speaker 1: a few weeks. Hey, when we come back, we'll talk
- 7:23Speaker 1: to Ann Coulter. I'll see what she has to say
- 7:25Speaker 1: about all this. Oh, remind I got to ask her
- 7:27Speaker 1: about Don Lemon. He thinks he can run for president.
- 7:30Speaker 1: She'll have plenty to say about this. We'll get to
- 7:32Speaker 1: that next on seven to ten. Wor
