- 1:28Speaker 4: All righty, welcome back to the Son of a Boy
- 1:30Speaker 4: Dad podcast. Today is Memorial Day, correct.
- 1:34Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah. Shout out to all of those who have
- 1:38Speaker 2: served our amazing country, all of those who have fallen,
- 1:42Speaker 2: all of those who continue to serve. We are so
- 1:45Speaker 2: grateful and your sacrifice allows us to live in this
- 1:51Speaker 2: kind of bubble where we care about, you know, our
- 1:56Speaker 2: ranking and call of duty, and we sort of mimic
- 1:59Speaker 2: the amazing things that you guys do. Get very uptight
- 2:04Speaker 2: about it.
- 2:04Speaker 4: No, I wouldn't say that at all.
- 2:07Speaker 2: Oh, you don't think they're heroic. No.
- 2:09Speaker 4: I don't think that anyone that's playing Call of Duty
- 2:11Speaker 4: thinks they're mimicking military US soldiers costplaying now, because actually
- 2:16Speaker 4: a lot of times you're playing is not even the US.
- 2:19Speaker 2: What are you playing as Russians?
- 2:21Speaker 4: Oh?
- 2:21Speaker 2: You're committing trees killing American soldiers.
- 2:26Speaker 4: You know, it depends on what There's a fifty to
- 2:28Speaker 4: fifty chance on most call of duties you're going to
- 2:30Speaker 4: be playing as the Russians.
- 2:32Speaker 2: I mean I I developed some soft I bought one
- 2:34Speaker 2: of those packages, those patches to make sure that I
- 2:38Speaker 2: was always an American.
- 2:39Speaker 4: I don't know what that is.
- 2:41Speaker 3: It's a patch.
- 2:42Speaker 4: A patch.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Yeah, it's called the U for a Good Boy Scouts,
- 2:46Speaker 3: the Red White and Bot.
- 2:47Speaker 4: That's what it's called, the Red White and Bot. That's interesting.
- 2:50Speaker 4: I didn't know they had that.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Did you guys see today on HBO they're showing all
- 2:55Speaker 3: Band of Brothers.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Oh it's on, isn't it just always on HBO?
- 2:59Speaker 3: I guess I don't know, but like they're just playing
- 3:03Speaker 3: it straight through.
- 3:04Speaker 4: Really they're really emphasizing it today though.
- 3:06Speaker 3: I woke up and just like as soon as I
- 3:08Speaker 3: opened my eyes, I threw it on and it was
- 3:09Speaker 3: just the beginning of it and just was powering through
- 3:12Speaker 3: having Banded Brothers on in the background the entire time.
- 3:15Speaker 3: Did you know who was in Band of Brothers as
- 3:17Speaker 3: a background actor. Not Tom Hardy, not Jimmy Fallon. There
- 3:22Speaker 3: was another person that I noticed just.
- 3:24Speaker 4: Watching it back, uh, Alec Baldwin.
- 3:28Speaker 3: That's not who I'm thinking of.
- 3:30Speaker 4: Vince Vaughn.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Young Osama bin Laden background actor.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Now, yes, yeah he's too tall.
- 3:40Speaker 4: No, he's a he's not a background.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Young handsome Osama Been.
- 3:45Speaker 2: His body was.
- 3:45Speaker 4: In the background, but his head was surely above the frame.
- 3:48Speaker 3: No, that's what they were looking for him while they
- 3:50Speaker 3: were shooting it. And it was actually Ben Lawden was
- 3:53Speaker 3: a background actor playing one of the the boys from
- 3:56Speaker 3: the Airborne.
- 3:58Speaker 4: I watched that documentary. What'd you think?
- 4:01Speaker 3: I loved it?
- 4:02Speaker 4: I loved it too. I will say there was I
- 4:05Speaker 4: feel like I knew most of it, you know what?
- 4:07Speaker 4: I You know what I was really interested in that
- 4:08Speaker 4: I wish they'd talked about more. Was the stuff pre
- 4:11Speaker 4: nine to eleven.
- 4:13Speaker 2: No, you should read The Looming Tower. I've seen them.
- 4:16Speaker 2: I've seen the show. That's a dramatized show.
- 4:20Speaker 4: But they talk about like they talk about the Kenya attack.
- 4:22Speaker 4: They talk about the Yemen attack a little bit a
- 4:25Speaker 4: couple of days.
- 4:26Speaker 2: If you're actually interested, that's Lawrence, right, he's the I
- 4:29Speaker 2: think one of the best biographers of Middle Eastern I'll.
- 4:34Speaker 4: Read that, I actually will.
- 4:35Speaker 2: I will read that. You could also read black Flags.
- 4:38Speaker 2: That's more isis the Looming Tower is great. It's about
- 4:42Speaker 2: the nineteen hijackers. Yeah, fifteen of whom were Saudi.
- 4:46Speaker 4: Yeah you believe that now, it's crazy.
- 4:50Speaker 3: But somehow we're just in bed with the Saudi's. I
- 4:52Speaker 3: guess I got ridical as by watching Charlie Kirk debate
- 4:56Speaker 3: against a bunch of kids from that dude's But did
- 5:00Speaker 3: you see hate that guy? He went against a bunch
- 5:04Speaker 3: of kids from what's the British famous British school Oxford? Oxford?
- 5:08Speaker 2: Was it the Oxford Union, the Debate Club?
- 5:10Speaker 3: Maybe I don't know who's going head to head with
- 5:12Speaker 3: all of them, and usually he's like mowing down like
- 5:15Speaker 3: just morons. Yeah, but then he went head to head
- 5:19Speaker 3: with some dudes from Oxford and they were fucking body.
- 5:22Speaker 2: He was like, do you know that there's a genocide
- 5:24Speaker 2: in the southeast. He's like, I've read about me and
- 5:26Speaker 2: mall too.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Yeah, contrary to you, mister Kirk, I know about my research.
- 5:33Speaker 3: It was fucking amazing. It really took off my fancy.
- 5:38Speaker 4: The My favorite part of that documentary was the part
- 5:40Speaker 4: where he's, uh, where I texted you guys about it,
- 5:43Speaker 4: but the part where nine to eleven happens, and then uh,
- 5:47Speaker 4: but they're like they put Bush in Air Force one
- 5:50Speaker 4: and they have the jets out that because I was like,
- 5:53Speaker 4: you ever would think about it, But it's like that
- 5:55Speaker 4: is obviously the safest place for them to be if
- 5:57Speaker 4: the contents under attack, but the get them in the area.
- 6:00Speaker 2: They said, he took the steepest a sad.
- 6:02Speaker 4: It's crazy.
- 6:03Speaker 3: The other jets were gonna like.
- 6:05Speaker 4: Throw themselves in front of him.
- 6:06Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 4: I don't know if that's what they were gonna do.
- 6:10Speaker 2: That's a guy didn't watch That's a guy that watched
- 6:13Speaker 2: Independence State right before they filmed that documentary.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:18Speaker 4: When he said that, I was like, I don't. I
- 6:19Speaker 4: don't think that's what their plan is. They have like
- 6:23Speaker 4: the most high powered.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Independence Day was it was it Air Force one. What
- 6:29Speaker 2: we're there is a movie where a fighter jet intercepts
- 6:32Speaker 2: star Wars the missile and takes it so that the
- 6:36Speaker 2: president doesn't get killed. Because because I think it might
- 6:41Speaker 2: be Air Force one probably think about Independence Day. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 2: I mean that movie is really unrealistic.
- 6:50Speaker 3: You know, the what if Trump just got behind a
- 6:54Speaker 3: fighter fighter jet, just a wheel of fighter jet, because
- 6:58Speaker 3: wasn't it the president?
- 7:00Speaker 2: It's in a fucking fighter gen fight at the end.
- 7:03Speaker 4: Yeah, since, I mean, that's what it That's what it
- 7:06Speaker 4: used to be. Though, I guess if you really want
- 7:07Speaker 4: to take it back in time, what used to be
- 7:10Speaker 4: presidents used to be on the front lines, not.
- 7:12Speaker 2: While they were president. They're not kings.
- 7:17Speaker 4: It's crazy that that That team was nuts. I got
- 7:21Speaker 4: the chills when they when they did that, when they
- 7:23Speaker 4: were up in the air.
- 7:25Speaker 3: I got the chills when they were talking about the
- 7:27Speaker 3: flight ninety three passengers taking over the flight and saying,
- 7:31Speaker 3: we're going to crash.
- 7:32Speaker 2: This thing.
- 7:32Speaker 3: We're gonna was torn the cockpit.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm honestly surprised they even I mean, I know
- 7:37Speaker 4: that they thought to do that because they had found
- 7:40Speaker 4: out about.
- 7:40Speaker 2: The other, had they Yeah, Oh that's why.
- 7:43Speaker 4: Yeah, And I believe so, I'm pretty sure that's why.
- 7:50Speaker 4: Right didn't they hear about the other?
- 7:52Speaker 3: Maybe some people, I mean they played some of the
- 7:54Speaker 3: voicemails that were going back.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was. I mean it was two
- 7:58Speaker 4: thousand and one. There was like TV's on plays.
- 8:00Speaker 3: And ship and then they were looking for him the
- 8:02Speaker 3: whole time, and he was just an extra band of brothers.
- 8:05Speaker 2: There were there were there were the one phones that
- 8:09Speaker 2: you could pull out of the seat rest, which was
- 8:12Speaker 2: another one of those things that our parents were like,
- 8:14Speaker 2: if you so much as our entire college fund for
- 8:20Speaker 2: you will be drained with a one minute phone.
- 8:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 8:24Speaker 2: Though it was those mini bars in hotels.
- 8:27Speaker 4: Yeah, those were big well, because they say those it's
- 8:30Speaker 4: like if you actually do touch them, you get charged.
- 8:32Speaker 2: And then moving and then ordering a movie at a
- 8:35Speaker 2: at a hotel rental. Yeah.
- 8:37Speaker 4: I was at a hotel recently where the lady was
- 8:39Speaker 4: like just a heads up the it was like a
- 8:41Speaker 4: nicer hotel, I forget. I was on the road somewhere
- 8:44Speaker 4: in the Citizen probably, yeah, and they were like, if
- 8:47Speaker 4: you move the mini bar, you will be charged. They're
- 8:51Speaker 4: like it's weighted so they can tell if you moved
- 8:54Speaker 4: any See.
- 8:54Speaker 2: That challenge right there would immediately have me trying to
- 8:58Speaker 2: do what Indiana Jones did, where I would I would
- 9:01Speaker 2: find a similar weighted thing to the bottle of whatever
- 9:05Speaker 2: velvetere and I would see if I could swap as
- 9:07Speaker 2: fast as possible.
- 9:10Speaker 3: Do you have a what if it's too heavy?
- 9:12Speaker 2: You know?
- 9:13Speaker 3: Are they alert? Do they owe you money if you
- 9:15Speaker 3: put back twice as much.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Belvitere exactly replace the nip with a magnum.
- 9:21Speaker 3: That'll fucking show them the citizen o idiots.
- 9:24Speaker 2: I went and saw Mission Impossible last night.
- 9:27Speaker 4: How was it?
- 9:29Speaker 2: Fun? Okay? Playful?
- 9:32Speaker 3: AHBBO is actually playing the Mission Impossibles right now. They
- 9:35Speaker 3: are really fun.
- 9:37Speaker 2: This one was fun. I think that they benefit when
- 9:40Speaker 2: they have some behind the scenes shots of the stunts
- 9:45Speaker 2: that Tom Cruise has done, so we all know going
- 9:48Speaker 2: in like, oh this thing where he did this, he
- 9:51Speaker 2: actually did this. Yeah, that motorcycle one from the previous
- 9:55Speaker 2: one was such a big part of what drove the
- 9:58Speaker 2: marketing for that movie.
- 10:00Speaker 3: They had to do it again.
- 10:01Speaker 2: Rides the motorcycle off the cliff and yeah.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Get it ten times or something like that, so many times.
- 10:06Speaker 4: What was the one that he where he broke his ankle.
- 10:09Speaker 3: He was on top of the ship with his arms.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Tom Cruise, what was it though?
- 10:18Speaker 4: He broke his ankle?
- 10:19Speaker 2: He was jumping across a building and he came up
- 10:22Speaker 2: short and smashed his foot into the thing. Damn. And
- 10:25Speaker 2: they had to suspend filming.
- 10:27Speaker 3: Those movies are such a blast, they're fun. Oh some
- 10:30Speaker 3: quirky British guy.
- 10:31Speaker 2: Okay, I will. I have one gripe, which is that
- 10:35Speaker 2: whoever's writing those movies, and maybe it's a different writer,
- 10:37Speaker 2: but they adhere to this technique over and over and
- 10:42Speaker 2: over again throughout the movie, which is that there's a
- 10:46Speaker 2: room full of people. It could be the room that
- 10:49Speaker 2: the president's in or the room that Tom Cruise is in,
- 10:51Speaker 2: and it's like a briefing or something, and they're they're
- 10:54Speaker 2: laying out what the plan is or why what their
- 10:59Speaker 2: face is so problematic. Every single person in the room
- 11:05Speaker 2: takes a turn saying part of the sentence. So this
- 11:11Speaker 2: is how it goes, and popcorn it. They go like this,
- 11:14Speaker 2: imagine that it's not even that right. Let's say that
- 11:18Speaker 2: the three of us, did you watch the next game
- 11:20Speaker 2: last night? Yeah? Did you watch the next game last night? Yeah? Great,
- 11:23Speaker 2: So let's tell you that. Let's just do this on
- 11:25Speaker 2: finalf Yeah great, let's talk about the fourth quarter, right, Okay,
- 11:29Speaker 2: what we're gonna do is we each get to say,
- 11:30Speaker 2: like a fragment of this and this is what this
- 11:33Speaker 2: is what happens in mission impossible. Karl Anthony Towns was
- 11:37Speaker 2: not having a very good game.
- 11:39Speaker 3: He didn't turn it on till the fourth quarter.
- 11:42Speaker 4: And then he showed up in a big way.
- 11:45Speaker 2: He was playing with.
- 11:46Speaker 3: Five fouls, but those Indiana Pacers are pesky as hell.
- 11:52Speaker 2: And good, and yet the Knicks held on for the win,
- 11:58Speaker 2: pushing this series.
- 12:00Speaker 3: To two games to one.
- 12:02Speaker 2: That is how so many scenes in Mission Impossible go yeah,
- 12:07Speaker 2: I don't like that at all, and it gets really annoying.
- 12:10Speaker 4: That's like, that's like anime. I never got into anime
- 12:14Speaker 4: because the inner monologue pisses me off. Like it would
- 12:20Speaker 4: be like it would be like we would be having
- 12:21Speaker 4: a conversation and then in the show it would be
- 12:24Speaker 4: like Francis's shirt is striped today. Like it's like it's
- 12:30Speaker 4: just like the dude talk. It's just his thoughts constantly.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah sucks this.
- 12:34Speaker 2: This is so. This gets so corny in these movie
- 12:37Speaker 2: and they do in all of the Mission Impossibles, I think,
- 12:39Speaker 2: or at least the last couple. But it's like the
- 12:43Speaker 2: entity entity knows that the time is ticking down tick talk,
- 12:48Speaker 2: tick talk, and that would mean the end of humanity
- 12:54Speaker 2: as we know.
- 12:55Speaker 4: It sounds like this movie sucked.
- 13:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:01Speaker 3: I mean, you definitely can't be watching it for the dialogue.
- 13:04Speaker 3: You need to watch it for the ass lipping in
- 13:06Speaker 3: like ski jumps.
- 13:07Speaker 4: You've got a lot more negative things to say about
- 13:09Speaker 4: it than positive.
- 13:10Speaker 2: This this thing it was. It was one of those
- 13:13Speaker 2: things where like the I didn't even notice it the
- 13:15Speaker 2: first time it happened. It happened probably four more times
- 13:18Speaker 2: throughout the movie, and then I realized this has happened
- 13:21Speaker 2: in every Mission Impossible movie. And I've never been in
- 13:23Speaker 2: a room of six people where they played that fucking
- 13:27Speaker 2: improv warm up game where like, and you know, you've
- 13:32Speaker 2: got to build off what the previous person said. We're
- 13:35Speaker 2: all sharing the ball here.
- 13:36Speaker 4: I don't like movies or shows that have like a thing,
- 13:40Speaker 4: you know, like it's like a little like, oh, this
- 13:42Speaker 4: is our reoccurring thing.
- 13:43Speaker 3: Sure, or if you can notice it, it's too much like.
- 13:47Speaker 4: You did you guys ever watch that Vince Vaughn show
- 13:49Speaker 4: on Apple TV.
- 13:52Speaker 3: No, The New Bad Monkey, No, No, I didn't want it.
- 13:55Speaker 4: There's there's a part of it where he says he
- 13:57Speaker 4: says he'll like something bad will happen. He'll I think
- 14:00Speaker 4: I've said this on the podcast before, but he'll be
- 14:01Speaker 4: like fuck nuts, and he like enrages me because you're
- 14:07Speaker 4: watching and you're like, clearly, this is like they're really
- 14:10Speaker 4: trying to have this whole fuck nuts thing, like take
- 14:12Speaker 4: the show to the next level, Like they want people
- 14:14Speaker 4: to be walking around and be like fuck nuts, nuts hats, yeah,
- 14:19Speaker 4: koozies from the show nuts wait too, because no one
- 14:25Speaker 4: says that. That's not a thing that people say you
- 14:27Speaker 4: don't It's not like like it'll be like in the show,
- 14:30Speaker 4: he'll find out that he just lost his job and
- 14:32Speaker 4: he'll be like, fuck nuts.
- 14:35Speaker 2: I could see, you're like why I could see the
- 14:37Speaker 2: Apple executives like coming back with the script with like
- 14:41Speaker 2: redline rewrites. I think we should hit him with another
- 14:45Speaker 2: nuts here, Like dude, that's the seventh time. I think
- 14:48Speaker 2: that's a little too heavy handed. And the Apple execs
- 14:50Speaker 2: are like, you don't understand. Next year, we're putting out
- 14:53Speaker 2: a new show called Fu Nuts and it's actually gonna
- 14:56Speaker 2: be franchised with a package of corn nuts that.
- 14:59Speaker 4: You can That's literally what the show feels like. It's like,
- 15:03Speaker 4: I'm trying to think if there's any other shows that
- 15:05Speaker 4: I can think of that have something like that.
- 15:07Speaker 2: Well, that that that show, the Big Bang Theory. He
- 15:10Speaker 2: would say bizing all the time.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, like a catchphrase. Yeah, but that show, I mean,
- 15:16Speaker 4: and then they probably ended up selling a lot of
- 15:18Speaker 4: shirts that said that on it. Yeah, thousands millions.
- 15:21Speaker 3: Probably it got syndicated into oblivion. Yeah, those people were
- 15:25Speaker 3: making one hundred million dollars yeah, per episode by the
- 15:29Speaker 3: end of that thing. Yeah, it's so rich, Sheldon. What's
- 15:33Speaker 3: Sheldon doing now? I don't think any of them can
- 15:34Speaker 3: even get other jobs.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Wait a second, is that show Young Sheldon a spinoff
- 15:38Speaker 2: of Yes it is?
- 15:40Speaker 3: Yes?
- 15:41Speaker 2: Are you serious?
- 15:42Speaker 3: Yes, that's supposed to be. Yes, he's the Bazinger guy,
- 15:48Speaker 3: he's the weaponized autist.
- 15:50Speaker 2: I did not know that.
- 15:51Speaker 4: I haven't seen either of them.
- 15:52Speaker 2: I've never watched a single episode of that show. And
- 15:55Speaker 2: I'm not saying that to be cool either.
- 15:57Speaker 4: No, I just never. I don't know anyone that watched it.
- 16:00Speaker 2: I've also never watched How I Met Your Mother, nor
- 16:02Speaker 2: have I ever watched Parks and rec Now, Parks and
- 16:05Speaker 2: RecA is great, I know these are holes in my life.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I've never watched How I Met Your Mother either.
- 16:10Speaker 3: I had a family member that would watch or A
- 16:13Speaker 3: bunch of my family used to watch A Big Bang
- 16:17Speaker 3: Theory all the time, and then someone in the family
- 16:20Speaker 3: stopped watching it because they pointed out that everyone was
- 16:23Speaker 3: autistic in the show, and that shouldn't be a reason
- 16:25Speaker 3: to stop watching it. Like people are allowed to autistic
- 16:28Speaker 3: characters are allowed to be represented.
- 16:30Speaker 4: Yeah, not in your house though.
- 16:33Speaker 3: Look at the last of us. That girl's autistic.
- 16:35Speaker 4: We found out they were autistic, so we went back
- 16:37Speaker 4: to the office.
- 16:40Speaker 3: Wait till they find out about Michael Scott.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Right now, there's only two autists and the office.
- 16:46Speaker 3: Who's the other one?
- 16:48Speaker 2: Toby? What the fuck?
- 16:51Speaker 3: They all might be autistic too?
- 16:54Speaker 4: No, I think it's just Dwight.
- 16:55Speaker 3: You don't think Creed and Meredith are No, I think
- 16:58Speaker 3: they definitely might be.
- 16:59Speaker 4: No Thinkredith is Like I think Meredith and Creed are
- 17:01Speaker 4: both like alcoholics, aren't they?
- 17:03Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's not mutually exclusive.
- 17:06Speaker 4: I think it. I mean, that's nothing would about them
- 17:10Speaker 4: would point out that they're autistic.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I think that their lack of like social skills in
- 17:15Speaker 3: like a major situations would maybe point to that.
- 17:18Speaker 4: No, I think that's just like they're old and they're drunks.
- 17:21Speaker 3: That's kind of the whole point, right, I don't know.
- 17:23Speaker 3: What do you think break the tie?
- 17:27Speaker 2: Uh? Well, I would I don't know that that's I
- 17:32Speaker 2: have there's something wrong with them and I don't know,
- 17:34Speaker 2: but I don't know that I would say it's autism.
- 17:36Speaker 4: I mean everyone knows people that. You're like, oh, yeah,
- 17:38Speaker 4: that guy's fucking retarded, but he's not. Actually I think.
- 17:41Speaker 2: That Meredith is an alcoholic. Yeah, Creed is just old.
- 17:48Speaker 2: He's always playing solitaire, So that would be a point
- 17:50Speaker 2: in Rohan's favor, right, she.
- 17:52Speaker 4: Why solidaire is great?
- 17:54Speaker 3: You know, most sluts are autistic.
- 17:56Speaker 4: I think I played solitaire for when I was younger.
- 17:58Speaker 4: I used to play for like four hours at a time,
- 18:00Speaker 4: Hairball with the car, not even online, just with the cards.
- 18:04Speaker 2: That you are our shining example of someone who is
- 18:08Speaker 2: decidedly not autistic.
- 18:10Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely. I think I'm actually like one of the
- 18:13Speaker 4: least autistic people on the planet, I believe it or not.
- 18:19Speaker 3: I don't believe it.
- 18:20Speaker 4: And you guys are all autistic.
- 18:23Speaker 2: Who's you, guys?
- 18:26Speaker 3: Tyler is all three of you? Don't even Tyler?
- 18:31Speaker 4: I was healing everybody about me.
- 18:35Speaker 2: No, bro, They say that the first step in knowing
- 18:39Speaker 2: you're not autistic is admitting that you might be. Chance.
- 18:45Speaker 4: You're talking about people that have like addiction problems.
- 18:49Speaker 2: And like talking about psychopaths and yeah, and to that.
- 18:58Speaker 4: They might work. There might be the same autistic people
- 19:01Speaker 4: might not know they're autistic.
- 19:04Speaker 3: These days, you find out by getting cast in a
- 19:06Speaker 3: TV show. Yeah, someone will just tell you after the fact.
- 19:10Speaker 2: Do they make out on that show? Do they end
- 19:11Speaker 2: up making out with each other? In Love on the Spectrum?
- 19:15Speaker 3: Oh, I was talking about the Last of Us, but
- 19:20Speaker 3: the girl was told she was autistical. Someone will like
- 19:22Speaker 3: crew there, like, hey, I'm pretty sure you're autistic, And
- 19:26Speaker 3: definitely I.
- 19:26Speaker 4: Thought you were talking about Love on the Spectrum.
- 19:28Speaker 3: They do make out on the show. There's like a
- 19:30Speaker 3: bunch of first kisses. And that's the only part that
- 19:34Speaker 3: feels a little bit predatory about the show.
- 19:37Speaker 4: Uh huh, because there's a dude filming with a fifty
- 19:40Speaker 4: thousand dollars camera making out.
- 19:43Speaker 3: Yeah, and they like kind of like break the music,
- 19:46Speaker 3: so you just it's just like.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Ill gross dude.
- 19:51Speaker 2: One time I was one time, I'll never forget this.
- 19:54Speaker 2: I was in the subway of I was in the
- 19:57Speaker 2: Union Square stubway station, and it was July. Yeah it
- 20:00Speaker 2: was hot, yeah, steamy waiting for the train, right, Yeah.
- 20:04Speaker 2: There was a couple of teenagers and they were of
- 20:07Speaker 2: Latin origin.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Wait like Rome, Yeah.
- 20:12Speaker 4: A Latin part as well.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I went up to them and I was like
- 20:18Speaker 2: in Pictoria.
- 20:20Speaker 4: Speaking in tongues in Pictoria.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Pretty flaws. Uh, No, they were. They were, you know,
- 20:31Speaker 2: they were kick a couple of kids that went to
- 20:33Speaker 2: whatever they probably were had just gotten out of school.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I'm guessing sixteen.
- 20:39Speaker 4: A couple of punks, a couple couple of Latin punks,
- 20:41Speaker 4: and you.
- 20:42Speaker 2: Know, acne, acne riddled kind of like uh peach fuzzy
- 20:46Speaker 2: mustache on both of them, you know what I mean.
- 20:50Speaker 3: And two mustaches sticking together like velcrow.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Sweaty, sweaty kind of And they were making out so
- 21:00Speaker 2: in a way that you could you could hear it
- 21:02Speaker 2: above the trains. Dude, it was I was I couldn't
- 21:06Speaker 2: I couldn't look away. I was just transfixed. It was disgusting.
- 21:12Speaker 4: Have you ever done a show and there's been people
- 21:13Speaker 4: making out in the crowd And.
- 21:15Speaker 2: We did fucking uh when we did San Francisco, we
- 21:20Speaker 2: get those moved. Yeah, they were throwing their hands down
- 21:23Speaker 2: the guy's pants in the front run. They met at
- 21:25Speaker 2: the show. They didn't even know each other. They were
- 21:28Speaker 2: sitting next to each other.
- 21:29Speaker 4: We only had we only had one opener, and you
- 21:32Speaker 4: went first.
- 21:33Speaker 2: And but yeah, but that my set. They he was
- 21:36Speaker 2: finger blasting her and.
- 21:37Speaker 4: That was like they had been seated for like forty
- 21:40Speaker 4: minutes probably at that time. So they moved quick.
- 21:42Speaker 2: They didn't and they can't speak, so you know, it
- 21:46Speaker 2: was all hands what what?
- 21:47Speaker 3: What was the joke? Do you remember what you're talking about?
- 21:50Speaker 3: Because if they get married, that could be like their
- 21:52Speaker 3: wedding joke.
- 21:52Speaker 4: Yeah, a song I gotta say. Just listened to it
- 21:57Speaker 4: on Francis's album.
- 21:58Speaker 2: No one's ever accused me of my material being particularly arousing.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a romance novel of a joke.
- 22:07Speaker 4: But every time the weird thing about I don't know
- 22:09Speaker 4: if this ever happened to you. Maybe I just do
- 22:11Speaker 4: it in a bad way, But every time I've ever
- 22:13Speaker 4: had that, I don't know if I've ever had it
- 22:14Speaker 4: during a headlining set, aside from when that was with you,
- 22:18Speaker 4: but you were there and you addressed it before I
- 22:20Speaker 4: got on, But I had it happened at the stand
- 22:23Speaker 4: multiple times, and I remember I would I said something.
- 22:26Speaker 4: Every I was like, are you guys gonna? I was like,
- 22:29Speaker 4: there's not a lot of people in here. You guys
- 22:30Speaker 4: are making out. This one third of the crowd is
- 22:33Speaker 4: making out. And every single time it would just no
- 22:35Speaker 4: one would think it was funny.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Are you get super uncomfortable?
- 22:40Speaker 4: And then I usually it would bomb the rest of
- 22:42Speaker 4: the set.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Well, what are you supposed to do?
- 22:45Speaker 4: Just like, I don't know, I guess you're just not
- 22:46Speaker 4: supposed to acknowledge it.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Yeah, they think they're at a movie. Yeah, that's what
- 22:51Speaker 2: it is.
- 22:51Speaker 4: But it's like I'm sitting like I'm above them and
- 22:53Speaker 4: I'm just watching them make out.
- 22:55Speaker 3: It's kind of freaky.
- 22:57Speaker 4: Yeah, It's like, it's crazy for me to not acknowledge
- 22:59Speaker 4: it's voye risk me and not. It's weird for me
- 23:02Speaker 4: to be up there and just to be watching that
- 23:04Speaker 4: and just be like, anyways, you know, just go on
- 23:06Speaker 4: with my set. Yeah, anyway, So the you I was
- 23:12Speaker 4: at U Haul the other day, excuse me.
- 23:16Speaker 3: Hey, guys, the guy drops to his knees and.
- 23:19Speaker 4: They always they look at you like you're fucking nuts.
- 23:23Speaker 3: They're like, the dude, how about some privacy buddy.
- 23:28Speaker 4: Yeah, Jesus Christ bro putting me on the spot.
- 23:32Speaker 2: I'd tell you to get a room, but I kind
- 23:34Speaker 2: of need you here.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys are half the crowd.
- 23:39Speaker 3: That is freaky as hell. I was at UH I
- 23:43Speaker 3: took my children to the doctor's office and I saw
- 23:47Speaker 3: a dog walking by. It was a seeing eye dog.
- 23:49Speaker 3: A woman was guiding a blind guy and she commented
- 23:53Speaker 3: on the stroller, beautiful stroller that we have, and she
- 23:57Speaker 3: started saying blind lady. The seeing eye woman, oh, also
- 24:02Speaker 3: was had the dog, and there was a guy and
- 24:04Speaker 3: she introduced us to the guy. He was like seventy
- 24:06Speaker 3: five years old, and she explained that he's also a
- 24:10Speaker 3: twin and that he had too much oxygen in the womb,
- 24:14Speaker 3: so he's been blind his entire life. Dan, I didn't
- 24:16Speaker 3: even know that was a thing that he could be
- 24:18Speaker 3: over oxygenated. And we had just a lovely conversation with
- 24:22Speaker 3: these guys, and then they went in did their thing,
- 24:24Speaker 3: and they were on their way out, they said bye
- 24:26Speaker 3: to us, and I made a fatal flaw. I hit
- 24:29Speaker 3: him with a nice to see you, and I felt
- 24:32Speaker 3: so fucking dumb quote. I felt so fucking embarrassed.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Question why was the seventy five year old man seeing
- 24:40Speaker 2: your pediatrician.
- 24:41Speaker 3: It wasn't a pediatrician.
- 24:43Speaker 2: Oh, it's a doctor specific to twins. It was.
- 24:46Speaker 3: No, it was since one of them was that like
- 24:51Speaker 3: one was up and one was down. Traditionally, with the
- 24:53Speaker 3: one who's like feet down, you do at like between
- 24:56Speaker 3: six to eight weeks to do a ultrasound to make
- 24:58Speaker 3: sure their hips are good. Ultrasound place.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Oh so that guy was getting an ultrasound as well.
- 25:04Speaker 3: I believe so.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so, gotcha.
- 25:07Speaker 3: But I was just embarrassed to hit him with a
- 25:09Speaker 3: nice to see you because he's never seen anything in
- 25:11Speaker 3: his entire life. Yeah, I felt so fucking dope.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Well, then there's even more of a reason for it.
- 25:17Speaker 4: You're saying it was nice to see you. I'm gonna
- 25:20Speaker 4: be I'm gonna keep it honest. It was nice to
- 25:22Speaker 4: see you. Yeah, I'm not gonna hold back.
- 25:24Speaker 3: No, I just used nice to see you so interchangeably,
- 25:27Speaker 3: or I use it instead of nice to meet you, right,
- 25:30Speaker 3: because you don't know if you've met someone before, and
- 25:32Speaker 3: it's become such a default that I always hit with
- 25:34Speaker 3: that nice to see you. But I can't be using
- 25:35Speaker 3: it on a blind guy. Yeah, that's bragging.
- 25:38Speaker 2: Well, it would have been a lot worse if you
- 25:40Speaker 2: had just said nice to see.
- 25:42Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it's nice to be seeing.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Then you're rubbing it in, but you're specifically saying nice
- 25:49Speaker 2: to see you, sir, And.
- 25:51Speaker 3: He was like good looking out. Yeah it was, but
- 25:56Speaker 3: he was he was born I probably like I hear that.
- 26:00Speaker 3: That's more likely, darl Yeah, he probably heard me fucking
- 26:04Speaker 3: thinking about the fact that he was born like that,
- 26:07Speaker 3: and there was. He was seventy five years old though
- 26:08Speaker 3: he's born in nineteen fifty, so he just has gone
- 26:10Speaker 3: seventy five years of just not being able to see
- 26:13Speaker 3: a damn thing, which I guess is better.
- 26:15Speaker 4: So he's always been blind.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Always been blind. He was loving at the lady was
- 26:20Speaker 3: just describing everything.
- 26:21Speaker 5: Wld do die too blind?
- 26:27Speaker 2: I wonder what the life expectancy is for blind people,
- 26:31Speaker 2: whether it's higher, the same or lower.
- 26:33Speaker 4: If that ways similar, Why do you say that I
- 26:36Speaker 4: can actually see it even being higher.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I That's what I was wondering.
- 26:40Speaker 4: Yeah, read everyone so well. People are just cautious, and
- 26:45Speaker 4: there's kind of like a general like idea like there's
- 26:49Speaker 4: in society. If you see a blind person and you're not.
- 26:52Speaker 4: You're not gonna let them walk in front of a car.
- 26:54Speaker 2: Well, not only that, but my eyes have gotten me
- 26:57Speaker 2: into a lot of trouble. True, Right, if I were blind,
- 27:01Speaker 2: I wouldn't be chasing destructive whores the way I do that. Huh,
- 27:07Speaker 2: you don't know about that? Well, fucking I bet did
- 27:13Speaker 2: in sense of a woman. Yeah, but that was a fiction.
- 27:16Speaker 4: I'm getting a soap and water smell. That's what he says.
- 27:23Speaker 3: I bet blind people sinless.
- 27:25Speaker 2: That's what I think. Yeah, I think you'd be surprised.
- 27:29Speaker 4: I guess, but I guess Pacino was. He didn't used
- 27:31Speaker 4: to be blind.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Mm hmmm.
- 27:34Speaker 3: It's probably harder to exercise and eat good though, if
- 27:37Speaker 3: you're blind, badly true to have like a lot of
- 27:41Speaker 3: leafy greens.
- 27:42Speaker 4: I feel like the best, the most important thing if
- 27:44Speaker 4: you're blind is feeling physically good.
- 27:47Speaker 3: Probably like, what are you gonna how are you gonna
- 27:49Speaker 3: even be on a treadmill? Walk?
- 27:53Speaker 4: You're not how to walk?
- 27:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's like being in the straight line. Like
- 27:56Speaker 3: I closed my eyes on a treadmill for twenty seconds,
- 27:58Speaker 3: I'm falling.
- 27:59Speaker 2: On the road side.
- 28:00Speaker 4: You also haven't been blind for seventy five years.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Do you think they walk in perfect straight lines.
- 28:05Speaker 4: I'm assuming they probably adapt pretty well on how to
- 28:08Speaker 4: how to move.
- 28:09Speaker 3: Than you think.
- 28:10Speaker 2: They might need to keep their hands on the thing, which,
- 28:12Speaker 2: as we all know, when you're doing incline, is less.
- 28:16Speaker 4: It's cheating.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Yeah, but you can do push ups when you're blind.
- 28:20Speaker 2: You can do a lot of them naked, so that
- 28:22Speaker 2: you can use yours to tell you when you've gotten
- 28:24Speaker 2: close to the ground. Yeah, you don't know.
- 28:26Speaker 4: If you're your face yeah, into the ground, you probably
- 28:30Speaker 4: have a pretty good idea of like you know where,
- 28:32Speaker 4: Like you have good awareness, you'd think, like I think
- 28:36Speaker 4: if your face is this close from the ground, you'd
- 28:39Speaker 4: probably have a good idea. Like they can't see, they
- 28:44Speaker 4: can feel.
- 28:45Speaker 3: They can sense whether a light on a room is
- 28:49Speaker 3: on or not through the final.
- 28:52Speaker 4: I could see it.
- 28:54Speaker 3: So like you can sense the light or dark, but
- 28:56Speaker 3: you don't know what light and dark are. You know
- 28:58Speaker 3: what a light is on different glands in your brain, So.
- 29:01Speaker 4: You do know what light and dark is, because if
- 29:03Speaker 4: you know if a light's on.
- 29:04Speaker 3: You, but like if you've never seen it's not, it
- 29:06Speaker 3: doesn't look dark, It doesn't look like anything.
- 29:10Speaker 4: It sounds like it does.
- 29:11Speaker 3: I mean, it's not me saying this, it's the Blind Folk.
- 29:14Speaker 4: But they're saying they know when it's light and dark.
- 29:16Speaker 2: Does their penial gland also differentiate races of people? Probably
- 29:22Speaker 2: would they be like, wow, Francis, you're looking particularly pale today.
- 29:27Speaker 4: Oh, I wonder that's one thing.
- 29:29Speaker 2: Maybe.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I think it's like if they were in like a
- 29:32Speaker 3: blacked video, they would know like it's like more of
- 29:35Speaker 3: a surrounding of darkness as opposed to just like a
- 29:39Speaker 3: window being open or a shade being open and a
- 29:41Speaker 3: little bit of sunlight getting in. Fascinating people. Though the
- 29:46Speaker 3: Blind Folk.
- 29:48Speaker 2: Video, the production quality is so high.
- 29:55Speaker 3: Good God almighty, what happened to the Jewel brother quit
- 30:00Speaker 3: and some other shit.
- 30:01Speaker 9: I'm not going back to college to be your friend.
- 30:04Speaker 9: I'm going so I can get Uber one for students.

- 31:18Speaker 2: unbelievable ability to bounce back again and again.
- 31:24Speaker 3: Like so full, like an Italian Nonah overserved your erection
- 31:28Speaker 3: like she kept them being like oh some more on you.
- 31:31Speaker 2: Yeah. You ever see a bagel with way too much
- 31:33Speaker 2: cream cheese on?
- 31:34Speaker 3: Yes, that's how you want your think of that.
- 31:38Speaker 2: Roast sparks are a two to one prescription treatment for stronger,
- 31:41Speaker 2: harder erections. They hit the bloodstream faster because they dissolve
- 31:44Speaker 2: under the tongue. That's kind of a nice feature, and
- 31:47Speaker 2: getting harder faster means having more sex after they dissolve.
- 31:50Speaker 2: They work in fifteen minutes on averridge. You know, I
- 31:56Speaker 2: I I'll be honest with you, guys, I have not
- 31:58Speaker 2: been having very much sex lately, but that doesn't mean
- 32:02Speaker 2: that I haven't been taking roast sparks for my own
- 32:04Speaker 2: personal pleasure. And I'll tell you what I'm enjoying it.
- 32:09Speaker 2: I'm having the time of my life with myself.
- 32:11Speaker 3: Go to a rave, throw a roast sparks under your
- 32:13Speaker 3: tongue and just kind of feel hard.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Walk around with a pant ful of bone. That's kind
- 32:18Speaker 2: of nice bone, and rahbi, everyone thinks you work at
- 32:21Speaker 2: the concert because they think you have a flashlight in
- 32:24Speaker 2: your pants.
- 32:24Speaker 3: But it's your hard cock, that's right.

- 32:43Speaker 2: so it could be more could be less.
- 32:45Speaker 3: It'll be about fifteen from my experience.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Also, by the way, it's fifteen minutes after the medication
- 32:51Speaker 2: dissolves under the tongue. So once the medication dissolves, Roast

- 32:59Speaker 3: And then the lightest breeze will get you going.

- 33:21Speaker 2: fifteen dollars off your first order.
- 33:23Speaker 4: I forgot mine at home.
- 33:25Speaker 2: Really, Yeah, that's a big step forgetting it. Yeah, I
- 33:29Speaker 2: guess I would say that that's progress.
- 33:32Speaker 4: I don't think so I forget it all the time,
- 33:34Speaker 4: and then what happens buy a new one, which I
- 33:38Speaker 4: didn't do.
- 33:39Speaker 2: How much are they I don't know.
- 33:42Speaker 4: It really depends. You go through where you're at a jewel. Yeah,
- 33:47Speaker 4: there's pods right, the actual battery lasts forever.
- 33:52Speaker 2: You go through a pot a day depends on the day.
- 33:56Speaker 2: Sometimes more day.
- 33:58Speaker 4: We'll see.
- 34:00Speaker 3: Now you wake up early, just you set your alarm.
- 34:04Speaker 2: Ten episodes of Band of Brother You better believe Battle the.
- 34:09Speaker 4: Whole case tonight, the whole case of Joeopod's.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Fucking winters Bro. That guy was a legend.
- 34:16Speaker 4: No, he would have loved the jewel.
- 34:19Speaker 3: You imagine if they had jewels over there? Yeah, friend,
- 34:22Speaker 3: jewel to the German soldiers before you mow them.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Yeah yeah.
- 34:27Speaker 2: Oh man, can you guys do do you guys know
- 34:30Speaker 2: the ranking or the hierarchy of leadership?
- 34:34Speaker 4: Not even army like literally not even close. Every day
- 34:39Speaker 4: I learn a new one. There's seven thousand of them.
- 34:43Speaker 2: There are a lot.
- 34:43Speaker 3: But it was general captain.
- 34:46Speaker 4: Nope, really no, there's there's more. There's like eighteen between
- 34:51Speaker 4: general and captain.
- 34:52Speaker 2: Yeah, but I think if you were if you were
- 34:53Speaker 2: excluding like you know, the whatever, the one, the sub
- 34:59Speaker 2: one within the general tier.
- 35:03Speaker 3: I'm thinking of a read dollars freestyle where he's like
- 35:06Speaker 3: read heated General, rain heated captain. So I just thought
- 35:09Speaker 3: it went that was the kind of order that I
- 35:12Speaker 3: thought it went in.
- 35:13Speaker 4: Do you know it, Francis, I don't.
- 35:15Speaker 2: But colonel is above captain. Yeah, colonel sounds and I
- 35:22Speaker 2: like lieutenant colonel.
- 35:25Speaker 3: Just leave me a captain, all right, don't make me
- 35:27Speaker 3: fucking wear colonel on my fucking shirt.
- 35:29Speaker 4: Colonel is is is lieutenant above captain.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Lieutenant is usually a sub of a notation of each
- 35:40Speaker 2: of those ranks. I think lieutenant colonel is above colonel.
- 35:43Speaker 3: And isn't it different branch to branch?
- 35:45Speaker 2: It is? So that's the tricky part. But within the Army,
- 35:51Speaker 2: which is band of brothers, right? Are there paratroopers? Is
- 35:55Speaker 2: that Army air Force airborne? I think it's moral day.
- 36:00Speaker 4: I think it's I think it's armed. Aren't they Marines?
- 36:06Speaker 2: Raw? Are they Marines?
- 36:09Speaker 4: I thought they were? But they might not be.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Man. We are exposing ourselves.
- 36:13Speaker 4: I've not never claimed.
- 36:14Speaker 2: So this is this would be my guest. Pull up
- 36:16Speaker 2: the army one. Okay, ron, this would be my guess. Uh,
- 36:21Speaker 2: you have corporal at the beginning, maybe corporate, okay, private corporal,
- 36:32Speaker 2: then maybe like sergeant.
- 36:35Speaker 3: So you you missed one, you missed private first class,
- 36:39Speaker 3: So it's private, private, first class, specialist, corporal, sergeant.
- 36:44Speaker 2: Oh I did I did well with that? Okay? Sergeant?
- 36:47Speaker 2: Then above sergeant is.
- 36:51Speaker 3: There's like four different sergeants.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, but but ignoring that right, because there's like
- 36:58Speaker 2: gunna re sergeant.
- 36:59Speaker 4: Do you think if you're in the military, you know
- 37:01Speaker 4: all this?
- 37:02Speaker 2: I do? Yeah, yeah for your branch, yeah, pro.
- 37:05Speaker 3: Certainly, staff sergeant, yeah, sergeant first class.
- 37:08Speaker 2: But then above sergeants is captain, I think, and then major.
- 37:18Speaker 3: I think it's it's saying in the army that it
- 37:20Speaker 3: just goes it's all. These are all sergeants. So it's sergeant, staff, sergeant, sergeant,
- 37:24Speaker 3: first class, master sergeant, sergeant, major, sergeant major of the army.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Oh ship, that's all. And then that makes me think
- 37:32Speaker 2: band of brothers is not because it was captain winners
- 37:34Speaker 2: and then major winners. Yeah, and then he.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Was that's enlisted, then it was, and then if you're officer,
- 37:42Speaker 3: then it can go second lieutenant, first lieutenant, captain.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Major, captain, major, lieutenant.
- 37:49Speaker 3: Colonel, colonel, brigadier general, major general, lieutenant general, general, and
- 37:54Speaker 3: then five star general.
- 37:56Speaker 4: Ye, bandon brothers.
- 37:58Speaker 2: They are airborne, which is what army. We don't we
- 38:02Speaker 2: didn't we knew they were airborne. God, I love that.
- 38:07Speaker 4: I think airborne is army airborne. Army, Yeah, it.
- 38:18Speaker 2: Is okay, good glad.
- 38:20Speaker 4: We got got that. Glad that's straightened out because I
- 38:23Speaker 4: was there right now, just like, oh man, I got
- 38:31Speaker 4: to join up. It's about time. It's time for me
- 38:33Speaker 4: to quit these these games. You ever get close, it's
- 38:35Speaker 4: a little signs.
- 38:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah, obviously, Yeah I got close.
- 38:38Speaker 4: I had COVID over the fourth of July week two
- 38:41Speaker 4: years ago, and I was on the website. I was
- 38:44Speaker 4: on the website.
- 38:44Speaker 2: I walked into a recruiting office.
- 38:47Speaker 4: Oh really, yeah, damn, just.
- 38:49Speaker 3: Because you saw a chance to do pull ups.
- 38:52Speaker 2: Yeah, I walked into a recruiting office, and uh, I
- 38:56Speaker 2: remember where the fun was. I was out in like
- 38:59Speaker 2: l A and we were in this mall and I
- 39:02Speaker 2: walked into a recruiting office and there were all these
- 39:04Speaker 2: young guys in there, and they were looking at me
- 39:07Speaker 2: like what the fuck are you doing in here? And
- 39:10Speaker 2: I was like, I'd be interested in you know.
- 39:13Speaker 3: What was going on in your life?
- 39:14Speaker 2: Doesn't have any pamphlets or anything like that.
- 39:17Speaker 3: Did you have like a bad set or something or No?
- 39:19Speaker 2: I was I was t twentyy one. I was just
- 39:23Speaker 2: I was a senior in college and I was doing,
- 39:27Speaker 2: uh what I was doing a It was in between
- 39:30Speaker 2: my fall semester and my spring semester, I had gotten
- 39:32Speaker 2: a grant a fellowship to go out to LA to
- 39:36Speaker 2: look around at like the entertainment.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Yeah, I remember, and.
- 39:40Speaker 2: I didn't really like it that much, and I didn't
- 39:42Speaker 2: know what to do with my life. And uh so
- 39:45Speaker 2: I was like, well, I was always admired the military.
- 39:49Speaker 3: You saw Harvey Weinstein and you were like, this guy
- 39:51Speaker 3: gets all the pussy.
- 39:52Speaker 2: I know I need to take what I'm saying.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I need to join up.
- 39:55Speaker 4: I think joining up would not be a bad idea
- 39:58Speaker 4: for me. Like I think if I just shipped off
- 40:00Speaker 4: for four years, you guys took care of the podcast,
- 40:02Speaker 4: I come back in four years.
- 40:04Speaker 2: I think you would that would really do good things
- 40:06Speaker 2: for you.
- 40:07Speaker 4: But what if I was just like a hard ass
- 40:08Speaker 4: when I got back.
- 40:09Speaker 2: I think that'd be great.
- 40:11Speaker 3: I think you'd be disaffected. I think you'd be like,
- 40:13Speaker 3: it's all bullshit anyway.
- 40:16Speaker 4: Like you think the podcast. Do you think we just
- 40:18Speaker 4: pick up from where we left off. I just had,
- 40:20Speaker 4: but I just had more interesting stories.
- 40:22Speaker 2: It'd be cool.
- 40:23Speaker 3: I know that's what people wanted to do. Oh yeah,
- 40:26Speaker 3: when people are like, get some life experience, why did
- 40:29Speaker 3: you fucking go to Kuwait.
- 40:30Speaker 4: Oh man, I would be such an interesting person if
- 40:34Speaker 4: I was a comedian and then I joined the military,
- 40:37Speaker 4: and then I went back to barstool.
- 40:38Speaker 3: After you reversed, you did a tan, We'd.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Just be having a casual conversation. I'd be like, dude,
- 40:42Speaker 4: that reminds me of when I was in Iraq.
- 40:44Speaker 2: And you're like, You're like, dude, I was bombing the
- 40:47Speaker 2: other day. We're like, yeah, are you allowed to say that?
- 40:54Speaker 2: That was?
- 40:55Speaker 3: Dude?
- 40:55Speaker 4: I was actually in Kuwait? So this was what this
- 40:58Speaker 4: was six months ago. I was in Kuwait and uh.
- 41:02Speaker 3: We were clearing a house.
- 41:04Speaker 2: You'd already I'm so much more interested in the stories
- 41:08Speaker 2: that you're telling.
- 41:09Speaker 4: I'm not surprised it would be sick.
- 41:11Speaker 3: I swing around the corner and it's his grandmother and I'm.
- 41:14Speaker 4: Like, I'm I'm gonna have to fill her with lead.
- 41:18Speaker 3: I'm like, is that a lasagna under her shirt?
- 41:20Speaker 2: Or does she have a bomb stretch?
- 41:24Speaker 3: So I shoot her? And it was a list you
- 41:30Speaker 3: got to join up.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Someone one of us is gonna have to those guys
- 41:34Speaker 2: at that recruiting center I went to looked at me crazy.
- 41:37Speaker 3: And tell them where you went to school.
- 41:39Speaker 2: Well, that's the thing. They were like, did you are
- 41:41Speaker 2: you in college? And I was like yeah, and they
- 41:42Speaker 2: were like, then you need to go to the officers.
- 41:47Speaker 3: Yeah, they were probably like this is bullshit.
- 41:48Speaker 2: There was another there was another recruiting office a few
- 41:51Speaker 2: doors down that was for off officer training school. So
- 41:56Speaker 2: if you have a college college, if you go to college,
- 41:58Speaker 2: you go to officer training school.
- 41:59Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that happens in bandon Brothers. Remember the
- 42:02Speaker 4: dude from West Point shows up and he's an officer
- 42:05Speaker 4: and they're all like, this fucking kid, it's what's his name? Hanks?
- 42:10Speaker 4: Colin Hanks.
- 42:11Speaker 3: It is funny that, like, you get to become an
- 42:13Speaker 3: officer and have to do less just because you like
- 42:15Speaker 3: partied for forty just because you went to frat parties
- 42:19Speaker 3: at Penn State. Yeah, you earned your stripes.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Pretty insane to think that Chet Hanks is more well
- 42:27Speaker 2: known than Colin Hanks.
- 42:28Speaker 4: Oh yeah, well, I mean yeah Colin Hanks. I mean
- 42:32Speaker 4: in Band of Brothers. I know, that's the character he's
- 42:34Speaker 4: supposed to play, but he sucks stuff. Everyone hates him.
- 42:38Speaker 3: But Chet Hanks crushed it.
- 42:43Speaker 4: Is he in it?
- 42:43Speaker 3: When he was like rust themon BUDMN from the forty
- 42:49Speaker 3: fifth Airborne.
- 42:51Speaker 4: He crushes it in curb You ever see that one
- 42:53Speaker 4: where he plays the US soldier?
- 42:55Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, have you ever seen the one that
- 42:58Speaker 2: gets PTSD no back?
- 43:00Speaker 4: And and they're having like a dinner or something, and
- 43:04Speaker 4: Larry David's there and he comes. He's one of the dates.
- 43:06Speaker 2: He's expecting him to be like, thank you.
- 43:07Speaker 4: For everyone's hanging to her the service, and then Larry goes,
- 43:09Speaker 4: nice to meet you, Hank. Yeah, yeah, really yeah.
- 43:14Speaker 2: But isn't it at the end of that one, doesn't
- 43:16Speaker 2: he don't they have the like music and stuff at
- 43:19Speaker 2: the golf course? Yeah, the PTSD.
- 43:24Speaker 4: I don't really remember. I just remember that one scene.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Maybe I'm mixing up episodes. Bravo Company.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Stand up.
- 43:35Speaker 2: Dude, he was in your Honor? Did you ever see
- 43:37Speaker 2: that show? Now?
- 43:39Speaker 3: I'd like that show or I like the first season
- 43:40Speaker 3: of that show.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 43:42Speaker 3: An introspection of the beautiful City of New Orleans.
- 43:45Speaker 2: Bryan Cranston.
- 43:47Speaker 3: Brian Cranston, that guy can't fucking miss.
- 43:49Speaker 4: Have you guys been watching the studio?
- 43:52Speaker 3: I only watched the first three. I gotta pick it
- 43:53Speaker 3: back up so good.
- 43:55Speaker 4: Cranston kills it in the last epiod.
- 43:57Speaker 2: I'm having a hard time fucking sticking with anything. Man,
- 44:01Speaker 2: I can't keep I can't. Don't say that. I'm talking
- 44:05Speaker 2: about shows. I just can't see them. I can't even
- 44:08Speaker 2: watch them, dude.
- 44:09Speaker 4: These episodes are like twenty five minutes long.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I don't care, I don't I don't give a shit.
- 44:14Speaker 2: I need a show that is so captivating that I
- 44:17Speaker 2: won't look at my phone or feel the need to
- 44:20Speaker 2: change to something else. And I can't find that.
- 44:23Speaker 3: The Looming Tower, Lord of the Rings, The Looming Tower.
- 44:28Speaker 4: Yeah, it's on Hulu.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I watched it.
- 44:31Speaker 4: Oh you've seen it. I thought you just read the book.
- 44:34Speaker 4: I'm definitely gonna read that book though. Yeah, I'm gonna
- 44:37Speaker 4: have to crack that open. I'm gonna get busy this song.
- 44:40Speaker 3: How many books you think you're gonna hit this year?
- 44:42Speaker 3: If you had to guess, m I don't know.
- 44:46Speaker 4: I just ordered, Uh well, I already started reading it.
- 44:49Speaker 4: But I got the hard copy version of of Fuck
- 44:54Speaker 4: what is the book?
- 44:55Speaker 3: I know that the double digit books?
- 44:58Speaker 4: I got the Art of Living?
- 45:00Speaker 2: What's that? So?
- 45:02Speaker 4: It's a like a meditation book by a monk? Showed
- 45:07Speaker 4: up the other day. I'm gonna show you what the
- 45:09Speaker 4: box that it was in. This is what it showed
- 45:13Speaker 4: up in. Have you ever heard of this book, The
- 45:14Speaker 4: Art of Living?
- 45:15Speaker 2: I don't think so.
- 45:16Speaker 4: This is the box that.
- 45:17Speaker 2: It showed up in.
- 45:19Speaker 3: It looks like your coffee.
- 45:20Speaker 4: The book was in the corner on the bottom.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Why is that big?
- 45:25Speaker 4: No idea?
- 45:26Speaker 3: How much for shipping?
- 45:27Speaker 4: Seventy five dollars?
- 45:28Speaker 3: Were you serious?
- 45:29Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 45:30Speaker 2: What? Yeah?
- 45:31Speaker 4: And the book was only nineteen bucks?
- 45:34Speaker 3: What the fuck?
- 45:35Speaker 2: I don't understand. You paid ninety four dollars for a book?
- 45:38Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 45:39Speaker 2: Why?
- 45:39Speaker 4: I mean that big ass box?
- 45:43Speaker 3: Can you get it on Kindle?
- 45:45Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 45:46Speaker 3: Do they have a big ass Kindle?
- 45:49Speaker 4: I don't think you need a big ass kindle?
- 45:51Speaker 3: Why do they do that? It's a marketing, a marketing ploy.
- 45:55Speaker 4: No, I'm kidding. It's that it didn't come in that box.
- 45:58Speaker 4: But I did order the book and then it did.
- 46:00Speaker 4: And then I showed up the next day and there
- 46:01Speaker 4: was a box with that said The Art of Living
- 46:04Speaker 4: and it was massive, and I took a photo of it.
- 46:07Speaker 4: You guys missed it. I already hit those boys with it.
- 46:10Speaker 3: No, I saw it in the chat, but I was
- 46:12Speaker 3: giving you the benefit of the doubt.
- 46:13Speaker 4: Just like did I send it to you guys do.
- 46:15Speaker 3: Yeah, I was just giving you a gracious se it.
- 46:18Speaker 4: No, so when did I send it?
- 46:23Speaker 3: And I don't know if you want me to find
- 46:24Speaker 3: it in my text And now you don't have to.
- 46:26Speaker 2: I went to uh DC this weekend.
- 46:30Speaker 4: Really, Yeah, you hit the Smithsonian?
- 46:33Speaker 2: No, what'd you hit? Jewish Museum? No? I didn't hit.
- 46:39Speaker 2: I didn't hit much. We went to a nice dinner
- 46:42Speaker 2: to celebrate my dad's Oh.
- 46:44Speaker 3: Yes, yes, how did that letter come out that you
- 46:46Speaker 3: wrote for your papa?
- 46:48Speaker 2: Well, I ended up not writing anything, and I spoke extemporaneously.
- 46:54Speaker 4: You would respect that he did off the top.
- 46:56Speaker 3: Yeah, did you have like a specific story you were
- 46:59Speaker 3: trying to tell or was it just a waxing poetic
- 47:01Speaker 3: of a ball washing of your father.
- 47:04Speaker 2: It was a nice thing because we had sort of
- 47:07Speaker 2: talked about his career a little bit. To that was
- 47:12Speaker 2: sort of what we were remembering and thinking about. And
- 47:16Speaker 2: then my sister gave a speech, and then I gave
- 47:20Speaker 2: a toast and I said that my dad is the
- 47:25Speaker 2: only person I really know who as his career really
- 47:29Speaker 2: started to take off and do better and better, he
- 47:32Speaker 2: was home more. Yeah, he was. The better he did
- 47:37Speaker 2: in his work, the more present he was in our lives,
- 47:43Speaker 2: my dad. When I was in seventh grade, I went
- 47:46Speaker 2: to a school in Maine called Waynefleet. Yeah, okay. It
- 47:51Speaker 2: was a very progressive private school, super super like liberal,
- 47:59Speaker 2: kind of of funky, you know whatever, artsy. Maybe sports
- 48:08Speaker 2: were not a fucking priority at all. And yet my
- 48:12Speaker 2: buddy Michael and I were pretty pretty good athletes, and
- 48:16Speaker 2: we were big. We were big dudes, and we could compete.
- 48:21Speaker 2: We would play against all the public schools in soccer, basketball,
- 48:25Speaker 2: and lacrosse, and we could kind of compete with them
- 48:28Speaker 2: because Michael and I were big and we played, you know,
- 48:33Speaker 2: travel and all that stuff for all those sports. And
- 48:37Speaker 2: we had a huge rival we with Freeport, that was
- 48:40Speaker 2: where I was from, and all those kids, Danny Mayler,
- 48:43Speaker 2: Luke Charrest Uh, you know, there were a couple other
- 48:49Speaker 2: there was. There was Eric, Eric something, Thomas, Leonard Uh,
- 48:55Speaker 2: Luke Garadini, I think, either way, Gambo. Either way, these
- 49:02Speaker 2: kids were. They all played travel together away from school,
- 49:07Speaker 2: so they were like trained, they were a unit, and
- 49:09Speaker 2: they were good. Danny Maaylor was tough as nails, nails
- 49:13Speaker 2: off as nails.
- 49:14Speaker 4: It was special.
- 49:15Speaker 2: He was Danny Maayler toughest nails. We know, he didn't
- 49:20Speaker 2: even play lacrosse, but he was a good He played
- 49:23Speaker 2: soccer and he played basketball, and he was problem on
- 49:25Speaker 2: the basketball court. Big guy guarden, big guy shooting guard.
- 49:28Speaker 4: No, no forward forward really and to stay that advantage.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Yes, stayed in the paint. I think he wore the
- 49:37Speaker 2: luel s George, what he wore the Kareem rexpecs really? Yeah,
- 49:45Speaker 2: handto mattel Well. Anyway, the point is is that we
- 49:48Speaker 2: would play that I would get I would get so
- 49:51Speaker 2: almost sick before these games because I cared so much.
- 49:54Speaker 2: And my dad, my my, when we went to play basketball,
- 49:59Speaker 2: we we had a coach who was like the math teacher.
- 50:03Speaker 2: And this guy didn't know shit from fucking shingles. Yeah,
- 50:08Speaker 2: you know, we had anyone who signed up for the
- 50:13Speaker 2: basketball team played basketball. Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 50:15Speaker 2: And he would sub five in and five out.
- 50:20Speaker 3: Like hockey line changes.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Yeah, no game plan.
- 50:23Speaker 2: Well, we'd be we'd be like in the game and contending,
- 50:28Speaker 2: and then it's like all right, everybody, next group up,
- 50:31Speaker 2: Purple group, go ahead, purple group, And then fucking all
- 50:36Speaker 2: of our dweeds would go out and Danny Maylor would
- 50:39Speaker 2: drop his nuts all over their fucking foreheads and and
- 50:43Speaker 2: you're like, okay, well now we're down thirty. Yeah, and
- 50:46Speaker 2: I don't think we're coming back from this.
- 50:48Speaker 4: Didn't that happen in the in the last round of
- 50:50Speaker 4: the playoffs? Did and when't? Like every time Joe kicks
- 50:53Speaker 4: would go off the court, they'd go down by like
- 50:55Speaker 4: twenty He'd takes like two minutes off by twenty.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, it's gotta suck.
- 51:02Speaker 4: Well, the point is I was never that kid. I
- 51:04Speaker 4: was never good enough to be like if I was
- 51:06Speaker 4: back out there.
- 51:06Speaker 2: Though for the.
- 51:07Speaker 4: Most part, it was like keep him off if you at.
- 51:10Speaker 3: This, and I'd be like, well, I really wanted to play,
- 51:15Speaker 3: so thank you guys for letting me in.
- 51:19Speaker 2: Yeah, there was always a moral. It was always like,
- 51:22Speaker 2: well we lost, but you know, the important thing is
- 51:25Speaker 2: that we had fun or that everybody played. It was
- 51:28Speaker 2: sports socialism, you know, that's what it was. So we
- 51:32Speaker 2: had one or two games at the beginning of the season,
- 51:35Speaker 2: and I remember somehow my Michael and I convinced my
- 51:40Speaker 2: dad that he should be our coach. Oh wow, And
- 51:44Speaker 2: the math teacher didn't care. You know. I think they
- 51:47Speaker 2: were paying him seventy five bucks for the season. That
- 51:50Speaker 2: was his salary to coach the basketball team. He's like, yeah,
- 51:53Speaker 2: please relieve me of this duty.
- 51:55Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 51:55Speaker 2: So my dad came in, and then my dad was
- 51:59Speaker 2: able to scheduled two additional games against Pine Tree Academy,
- 52:03Speaker 2: which was the Seventh Day Adventist school, some other school,
- 52:08Speaker 2: so that he could load up the playing time for
- 52:11Speaker 2: our dweebs and therefore their parents wouldn't write letters to
- 52:15Speaker 2: the school. And he explained all of this and played
- 52:17Speaker 2: those kids, and then that allowed him to keep me
- 52:21Speaker 2: and Michael in longer and give us more playing time
- 52:25Speaker 2: against Freeport and against well.
- 52:27Speaker 3: Why can't you and Michael just get the brunt of
- 52:29Speaker 3: the minutes and then rotate everybody in those other three spots.
- 52:33Speaker 2: Because we still had We had John Watson was solid.
- 52:36Speaker 2: Hilman Norburg was okay, Ben Bornstein solid, Hilman's was pretty good.
- 52:41Speaker 3: From deep Dude was trash Helman Norburg.
- 52:45Speaker 2: When we got Joe Stockmeyer in eighth grade, man, because
- 52:47Speaker 2: he came over from King Middle School.
- 52:49Speaker 4: Did they ever bring kids in to your high school.
- 52:53Speaker 2: An stuff?
- 52:54Speaker 4: All of a sudden, the coach has some new roommates.
- 52:57Speaker 4: We had that a couple of times. Also, the coach
- 53:00Speaker 4: would have like six black dudes living with.
- 53:04Speaker 2: We did not have that.
- 53:06Speaker 3: No, we did all the other all other schools would
- 53:08Speaker 3: be like, well, yeah, Sant Joe's prep recruits.
- 53:10Speaker 4: Like out of nowhere, Like we got a new student
- 53:12Speaker 4: in class, jacked dude seven feet tall. You're like, he's
- 53:17Speaker 4: clearly thirty years old.
- 53:18Speaker 2: That's not who That's not who we recruited in our
- 53:21Speaker 2: in our place, it was like, oh, the art teacher
- 53:23Speaker 2: now has six new like yeah, sound therapists. Yeah yeah,
- 53:29Speaker 2: finger painting prodigies.
- 53:31Speaker 3: I'm just rubbing the outside of the bowl.
- 53:33Speaker 2: All of a sudden, the chess team needs a translator
- 53:36Speaker 2: for the four new recruits we got from the former
- 53:38Speaker 2: Soviet block. Yeah. Uh so anyway, we uh, why did
- 53:44Speaker 2: I bring this up?
- 53:45Speaker 3: Because you were saying how you're down?
- 53:47Speaker 2: Oh yeah, my dad. My dad ended up coaching my
- 53:49Speaker 2: basketball team. Uh. And he definitely coached lacrosse because he
- 53:52Speaker 2: was had played lacrosse in college and then in eighth
- 53:55Speaker 2: grade he ended up coaching all three sorry basketball time job,
- 54:00Speaker 2: which which sounds which sounds like an overbearing parent, But
- 54:04Speaker 2: it wasn't that at all. We begged him to do
- 54:06Speaker 2: it and he made it fun and I you know,
- 54:11Speaker 2: I was. It was amazing. It was amazing to have
- 54:13Speaker 2: him do that.
- 54:14Speaker 3: It is wild that sometimes one dad, one athletic dad,
- 54:18Speaker 3: becomes the dad of the entire neighborhood or the old school.
- 54:21Speaker 4: Here was your dad very athletic.
- 54:23Speaker 2: Yeah, oh wow. He played football and lacrosse at Amherst College.
- 54:28Speaker 3: A friend of mine who's played college football was visiting
- 54:31Speaker 3: me this past weekend, and he was saying that the
- 54:34Speaker 3: other kids, like the moms in the neighborhood, will be like,
- 54:37Speaker 3: can you teach Timmy how to swing? Which has to
- 54:39Speaker 3: be brutal for their actual dads. Oh yeah, that they're
- 54:43Speaker 3: just outsourcing it to like the hot athletic dad and
- 54:46Speaker 3: the neighborhood. He is just going to be the one
- 54:48Speaker 3: who's like getting behind your kids hips teach them how
- 54:51Speaker 3: to swing a baseball.
- 54:51Speaker 4: That I would be so furious.
- 54:53Speaker 3: I would just rather the kid be bad at sports,
- 54:54Speaker 3: so to have like a be like father.
- 54:57Speaker 2: Cuugh cued by someone else's dad.
- 54:59Speaker 4: Yeah, that's so imagine. I'd imagine seven years from now,
- 55:05Speaker 4: your wife's like, we're gonna bring someone else in to
- 55:07Speaker 4: teach him how to throw?
- 55:08Speaker 3: Yeah, throwing, coach, Throwing is the most fun of Yeah,
- 55:15Speaker 3: we might need it, but I mean it's like, that's fine,
- 55:17Speaker 3: that would be DJ. So that's fine.
- 55:23Speaker 4: Let's get him on the Let's get him on the
- 55:25Speaker 4: ones and twos early.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the only way.
- 55:29Speaker 2: We had some battles in middle school. I remember my
- 55:32Speaker 2: middle school athletic career better than I remember my high school. Yeah.
- 55:36Speaker 4: I didn't have a high school career.
- 55:38Speaker 2: One time we played Freiburg Academy and it was it
- 55:41Speaker 2: was in a game where, for whatever reason, the better players.
- 55:45Speaker 2: This was before I think before my dad was coaching,
- 55:48Speaker 2: so it was like the at this time, we had
- 55:50Speaker 2: different blocks of like the team. They were like fifteen
- 55:53Speaker 2: dudes on the team, and the block that had all
- 55:56Speaker 2: the other good players was sitting out this game. And
- 56:00Speaker 2: oh yeah, so Freiburg, you're playing against it. Freiberg was solid,
- 56:03Speaker 2: they were solid. We lost the game thirty six to
- 56:06Speaker 2: thirty four. Right, Yeah, some fat kid on Freiburg threw
- 56:11Speaker 2: up over the shoulder blind prayer from the elbow that
- 56:15Speaker 2: bounced all high off the rim, just like Tyrese Haliburton's
- 56:18Speaker 2: game tire and dropped in at the buzzer to beat
- 56:21Speaker 2: us thirty six thirty four. I scored thirty two of
- 56:25Speaker 2: our thirty four points Freiburg.
- 56:29Speaker 3: It must have been so nice for that little Augustus
- 56:32Speaker 3: glup boy to have that moment in the sun.
- 56:34Speaker 2: Though I knew it was special because I overheard their
- 56:37Speaker 2: coach before the handshake line telling their players to make
- 56:41Speaker 2: a special effort to congratulate me. And they were like
- 56:48Speaker 2: giving me hugs, like I've never seen someone score so
- 56:52Speaker 2: many of his own team's points. And I was passing.
- 56:56Speaker 4: Really, yeah, sound like it.
- 56:57Speaker 2: Well, I would one and then they would pass it
- 57:01Speaker 2: back and then I would drive.
- 57:03Speaker 4: They auditioning it off to you.
- 57:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's why you wanted your dad to be coach.
- 57:07Speaker 4: I think, get it back to my boy, get it
- 57:09Speaker 4: back to myself. Yeah, I gott to hear this story
- 57:11Speaker 4: from another perspective. Fucking Francis was glued to the court.
- 57:17Speaker 2: Guess who scored the other two hillm and Norburg. Oh yeah,
- 57:20Speaker 2: ask him, good for him? Ask him So this anyway,
- 57:25Speaker 2: I realize I'm getting old because now I'm starting to
- 57:27Speaker 2: regale people who have no interest with my tales of
- 57:34Speaker 2: heros from fucking middle school. Howpathetic is that.
- 57:38Speaker 4: Maybe they're retelling the stories too, Maybe they're telling it
- 57:41Speaker 4: like Wilt Chamberlain's hundred point game.
- 57:43Speaker 2: See that guy who's on that that host of Son
- 57:45Speaker 2: of a Boy thirty two score thirty two out of
- 57:48Speaker 2: thirty four points.
- 57:49Speaker 4: Yeah at thirty four, at thirty four.
- 57:51Speaker 2: He still lost. At the Buzzer Freiburg Freiburg Academy.
- 57:55Speaker 4: They probably have like your name upon a banner.
- 57:57Speaker 2: I don't think so at Freiburg because I didn't day
- 58:00Speaker 2: through high school at Waynefleet. They might. Yeah, we were.
- 58:04Speaker 2: That was at wayne Fleet. We stayed. We did that
- 58:06Speaker 2: at Wayne Fleet.
- 58:07Speaker 3: Friburg probably took the whole team out for mataball soup afterwards,
- 58:11Speaker 3: took the whole team out for a lot because.
- 58:13Speaker 2: I don't think it was a Jewish school. Actually sounds
- 58:18Speaker 2: like it, but it wasn't.
- 58:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 58:20Speaker 2: We also played Poland, which is famous for the spring.
- 58:24Speaker 4: You played Poland.
- 58:26Speaker 2: Poland, Poland's Maine. That's where Poland spring is from. That
- 58:30Speaker 2: was a lot of people.
- 58:30Speaker 3: I think it's in Poland. I always did.
- 58:33Speaker 4: They just have big ass.
- 58:35Speaker 2: Water that is the most hydrated. They could run for
- 58:39Speaker 2: fucking days. We had players could go take pisses.
- 58:44Speaker 3: Yeah, well I really didn't know that was in the
- 58:49Speaker 3: United States. Let me let me find out that Fiji
- 58:51Speaker 3: water is from Fiji.
- 58:52Speaker 2: Main Maine is filled with It's got to be the
- 58:57Speaker 2: laziest state. As far as naming our town. There's a
- 59:00Speaker 2: Paris Man. Yeah, there's so many fucking towns named after
- 59:05Speaker 2: like elite Europeans space due. There's also a lot of
- 59:09Speaker 2: we don't even a post office, yeah in Paris, Maine.
- 59:12Speaker 4: Also in New England, like so many towns have the
- 59:15Speaker 4: same name. Yeah, Plymouth, there's a five plymouths in Man alone.
- 59:23Speaker 3: Why I don't know has the Plymouth Rock?
- 59:26Speaker 2: I guess there's Falmouth. There's a bunch of fountain. There's
- 59:28Speaker 2: a Falmouth, Massachusetts, Falmouth, Maine.
- 59:30Speaker 4: Apparently the Plymouth Rock was ranked number one.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Uh worst destination.
- 59:36Speaker 4: Destination Really I went when I was a kid.
- 59:38Speaker 2: I remember thinking it was okay.
- 59:40Speaker 4: It's pretty bad. It's smaller than this table.
- 59:43Speaker 3: Yes, smaller than the box you got for your book.
- 59:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and you're you're yeah, it's not great.
- 59:50Speaker 2: Oh, speaking of tables, if there are any stone Masons
- 59:54Speaker 2: out there listening, I am in desperate need of a
- 59:57Speaker 2: new dining table. I need someone who knows their way
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: around stone, like a stone table. If there's anyone who
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: knows how to operate stone or tables of any kind.
- 1:00:07Speaker 3: Friend named Mark Jupiter who might be able to help you.
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: Now we're talking see a stone mason.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: He does like a lot of live edge would, but
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: he could probably do stone.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: He probably works down.
- 1:00:17Speaker 2: Do people who work live edge would know their way
- 1:00:19Speaker 2: around stone?
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: If you know live edge, would they say? Picking up
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: stone is it's like transitioning from a clarinet to a sack.
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: I was gonna say guitar to sort of mandle it
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: or banjo.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: The foundation piece that you just build all carpentry off of.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I guess it's not a carpentry. I guess it's masonry.
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: Masonry.
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: But you need a new table? What was wrong with
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: your old table?
- 1:00:42Speaker 2: Well, this is from my place upstate, and I am
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: having a banquette built.
- 1:00:48Speaker 3: Really a little breakfast nook. A nook that sounds so nice.
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: That's such a nice way to maximize a small a
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: tight area.
- 1:00:57Speaker 2: Big nook.
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: Guy, Yeah, because you can't put you can't put a
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: table up against the wall like that unless there's a
- 1:01:03Speaker 3: built in noo.
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: That's right, it's gonna be cozy as all hell.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: Like a booth. A booth that's going to be sick, right,
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: I gotta get a booth.
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: I'm excited. We all blow out.
- 1:01:13Speaker 4: My kitchen and make it a booth.
- 1:01:15Speaker 2: Just a single booth, one booth, Boothbay Harbor.
- 1:01:20Speaker 3: Yeah, that would be so nice. You don't need your kitchen.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: Your kitchen is such a fucking wasst. We're just making
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: a loft, get rid of it, wipe it, put a
- 1:01:30Speaker 3: booth on the top. That'd be so What made you
- 1:01:34Speaker 3: settle on one stone?
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: The colors of my place? I think stone's kind of
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: the one. Well, I have a marble countertop, but I
- 1:01:43Speaker 2: don't have a I have so much wood that to
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: do a wood table feels it's gonna get a little
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: cabin pretty.
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: Much exactly some stone. So anyways, just to clarify, we
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: are looking for a stone mason. There's any own masons
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: that listen to the podcast.
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: Unless Mark Jupiter can help you, please reach out. Unless
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: my close friend Mark Jupiter can.
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: What do you? What do you?
- 1:02:07Speaker 4: What are you trying to get the stone mason to do?
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: Just come to if there's a stone mason who just
- 1:02:13Speaker 2: has some excess piece of slab, a nice slab of
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: some limestone or something like that, maybe something that has
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: a little bit of a chip in it, where he's like,
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: well I can't use that. Yeah, listen, I don't mind
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: it chip. In fact, I think it adds character.
- 1:02:27Speaker 4: If it's like straight rock, Like, are you looking for
- 1:02:30Speaker 4: more of a marble like rock?
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: I want rock. I want a table that weighs four
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: billion pounds.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: It's gonna be tough to like do anything on that.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: I want to get a table that requires like a crane.
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: Like you're if you have liked lifted the window plate's
- 1:02:44Speaker 4: gonna be all uneven.
- 1:02:47Speaker 2: No, it's a flat stone. It's gonna be nice and smooth.
- 1:02:49Speaker 4: Well you're saying you're you're asking for secondhand stone here.
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: Well that's sure. There's gonna be a little bit of
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: a crack or knock notch maybe, but hopefully that'll be
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: on the underside. Even if it's on even if it's
- 1:03:02Speaker 2: just a chip, that's that's right there on the front.
- 1:03:04Speaker 2: It's noticeable.
- 1:03:05Speaker 3: So how thin are we talking? I'm picturing a thix s.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: I'm picturing a rock. I'm picturing a boulder with like
- 1:03:12Speaker 4: an iron pipe holding it up.
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: I want the base and I want the top to
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: be got it.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: It sounds like an expensive table I found what I found.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: It sounds like a table that people would be like,
- 1:03:25Speaker 4: how do they even make it?
- 1:03:26Speaker 2: I found a bunch on Etsy that are like fifteen
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: hundred bucks cheap stone. Probably, I'm not trying to like.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: You want obsidian. You're looking for obsidian an obsidian slab?
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: Yeah, onyx.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: What about concrete?
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: Concrete's definitely cheaper. I would I would think about concrete.
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: Concrete is kind of cool.
- 1:03:45Speaker 3: But it's just you pour it.
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: I'd rather atone.
- 1:03:49Speaker 4: I want stone on concrete.
- 1:03:52Speaker 2: Nice. You know what I like about stone? Here's what
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: I like about stone. On a hot day, you're sitting there,
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: you're working on your computer. You put your forearms down
- 1:03:59Speaker 2: on the don and you cool off.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: Yeah, here's what I don't like about stone. You like,
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: roll your ankle a little bit in your living room.
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: You trip and you fall, and then the stone goes
- 1:04:10Speaker 3: through your forehead when you fall. Live if you fall
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: into stone.
- 1:04:16Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not wrong about that, or but I mean
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: it's a concrete to plausible deniability. Well, I've got renters insurance.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Smoke someone's head off of it or something like that,
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: and it's like, oh, they fell it hit the stone.
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: I go I have renters insurance.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: You're gonna do something about that stone on it.
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: You could put a sword right in the middle. Maybe
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: only the strongest could pull you out.
- 1:04:38Speaker 4: But it's it's just a secret hatch underneath. But you're
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: the only one that knows about it. To release the sword, right,
- 1:04:43Speaker 4: so everyone, you have a bunch of people come over
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: and everyone tries to lift the sword, and then you
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: go in.
- 1:04:48Speaker 2: Or I have whoever can do it get some kind
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: of a prize, right, fuck my wife whatever? Yeah, yeah,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: and then when it's finally the guy I actually want
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: to watch do that, I'll hit the button. Okay, Oh
- 1:05:03Speaker 2: my god, Andre, Wow, you're lucky day. You pulled that
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: right out so easy. You've been lifting.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Why is your foot on the lever this?
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: Oh? No, this thing? No way, Andre.
- 1:05:22Speaker 3: If you want me to fuck your wife, you just asked.
- 1:05:26Speaker 4: All right, perfect, and to get out of here. Okay,
- 1:05:29Speaker 4: we've been going for over now we're in twenty I
- 1:05:32Speaker 4: was having fun.
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: I was just having a good time.
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: Oh it's Memorial Day, yeah, right, pay respects.
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: Well, maybe you study up on the military bone, up
- 1:05:39Speaker 3: on the organizational structure of the navy or something like that.
- 1:05:43Speaker 4: That's not a bad idea.
