In a high-stakes standoff outside his home, 44-year-old Austin Mark, who had a history of resisting police, opened fire on three deputies serving a warrant and mental health order. After non-lethal attempts failed and Mark set fire to his garage, one deputy fired a single shot as Mark emerged without surrendering.
