Speaker 1: Now, not much happened over the holidays as far as
• 0:13
Speaker 1: geek News goes. They did drop a few Marvel dropped
• 0:15
Speaker 1: a few trailers on us for upcoming stuff. First of all,
• 0:21
Speaker 1: this show that will be on January twenty seventh on
• 0:25
Speaker 1: Disney Plus. We got the first full look for the
• 0:27
Speaker 1: trailer of the series wonder Man. You got this man,
• 0:35
Speaker 1: He's got to go out there and cress it. Now
• 0:46
Speaker 1: we start with Simon Williams. We also go to Ben Kingsley.
• 0:51
Speaker 1: Pretty sure he used to be a terrorist. Yeah, he
• 0:55
Speaker 1: was the guy who pretended to be the Mandarin.
• 0:58
  Speaker 2: Ah.
• 0:58
Speaker 1: Yes, I'll give them any strange and as you to
• 1:01
Speaker 1: pick up on. They both have a lot of writing
• 1:03
Speaker 1: on this, Simon, why would you say that? Come in,
• 1:08
Speaker 1: mister Kovac will meet you in the living room.
• 1:11
  Speaker 2: Now.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: The guy Kovac is the guy who is an award
• 1:14
Speaker 1: winning director, but he wants to make a superhero movie, right,
• 1:18
Speaker 1: and he wants to reboot an old movie called Wonder Me.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: Exactly what we'd expect from an Oscar winning director. This
• 1:26
Speaker 1: is the world is everything.
• 1:28
Speaker 2: I'll get this close and I missed you to.
• 1:35
Speaker 1: Sign this to confirm you don't have superpowers? Yeah, apparently
• 1:39
Speaker 1: superpowers aren't allowed on Hollywood sets. I guess it's cheating.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: I don't know, but I was born a plate. This character,
• 1:49
Speaker 1: this is some of everything you've experienced, the joy sadness, loss,
• 1:57
Speaker 1: all bright. So Simon as a kid, saw the original
• 2:03
Speaker 1: movie wonder Man, and it's just something he's been obsessed with.
• 2:07
Speaker 1: He's an actor, considers Simon Williams an extraordinary threat looking
• 2:12
Speaker 1: to get the role. So he goes to Trevor Slattery
• 2:17
Speaker 1: and Kingsley help me get this role. But then Damage Control,
• 2:26
Speaker 1: which is an organization put together to police the superheroes.
• 2:29
Speaker 1: I'm gonna use my car, TWEV.
• 2:30
Speaker 2: Does that mean you do do not have super speed?
• 2:33
Speaker 1: Let's go. They are looking for him. They've discovered that
• 2:38
Speaker 1: he has powers and they're looking for him. So it'll
• 2:41
Speaker 1: be interesting to see what happens. Is this a series.
• 2:44
Speaker 1: It's a series, and it will. All the episodes will
• 2:47
Speaker 1: drop on January twenty seventh on Disney Plus all right,
• 2:50
Speaker 1: which leads to the history of Disney not having a
• 2:55
Speaker 1: lot of faith in shows starring people of color. They're
• 3:00
Speaker 1: dropping them all at once. Let's see a couple other
• 3:03
Speaker 1: trailers that we got from Disney. They were very short,
• 3:07
Speaker 1: and they're all four Avengers Doomsday. We got two dropped
• 3:13
Speaker 1: on us. The first one was While we were Gone,
• 3:16
Speaker 1: Chris Evans returns as Steve Rogers in the first official
• 3:21
Speaker 1: Doomsday trailer. Now you can apparently see these before Avatar
• 3:25
Speaker 1: that they're playing them before Avatar, you can. I thought
• 3:28
Speaker 1: he was done and not coming back. He lied, He lied.
• 3:34
Speaker 1: The trailer is it's an interesting one. He rides a
• 3:37
Speaker 1: motorcycle up to a farmhouse, not the same house that
• 3:40
Speaker 1: was at the end of the other Avengers. No dialogue.
• 3:43
Speaker 1: He longingly looks at his Captain America costume, and then
• 3:49
Speaker 1: he picks up a baby, which we presume is his
• 3:52
Speaker 1: baby because of the way he's looking at it. So
• 3:55
Speaker 1: there's that, And it just says Steve Rodgers will return
• 3:59
Speaker 1: in a dooms not Captain America. Oh, there is a
• 4:03
Speaker 1: Captain America already, so he will be Steve Rogers. Another
• 4:07
Speaker 1: one that we got was Thor Thor walking through the
• 4:11
Speaker 1: woods with his big axe, and this one has dialogue,
• 4:16
Speaker 1: unlike the Steve Rogers one, and Thor is praying to
• 4:19
Speaker 1: Odin his father, lend me the strength of the all fathers,
• 4:24
Speaker 1: so I may fight once more. Defeat one more enemy
• 4:26
Speaker 1: and return home to her. The her he's referring to
• 4:30
Speaker 1: is a little girl that he has adopted. This was
• 4:35
Speaker 1: at the end of the third Thoro movie. It's the child,
• 4:37
Speaker 1: It's it's the child of the god Killer played by
• 4:40
Speaker 1: Christian Bale. He's adopted her. Return home to her, not
• 4:43
Speaker 1: as a warrior, but as warmth to teach her not
• 4:46
Speaker 1: battle but stillness, the kind I never do. Yeah, he's
• 4:52
Speaker 1: a dead so he wants to come back to her.
• 4:54
Speaker 1: We got some casting announcements while we were going, because
• 4:59
Speaker 1: you know this string New World's Star Trek show. Yeah,
• 5:03
  Speaker 1: it's it's it's wrapping up and they're handing off to
• 5:07
Speaker 1: the original characters from Star Trek and so they have
• 5:12
Speaker 1: cast doctor McCoy. Okay, I'm not sure about this. Oh
• 5:18
  Speaker 1: who is it?
• 5:19
Speaker 2: Thomas Jane No, No, yeah, I just I only say
• 5:25
Speaker 2: this because I met him at Comic Con and he
• 5:28
Speaker 2: doesn't strike me as a doctor McCoy.
• 5:30
Speaker 1: But show me what you got. You need.
• 5:32
Speaker 2: You need someone some a snarky someone.
• 5:34
Speaker 1: You need a Yeah, you need you need an alcoholic
• 5:38
Speaker 1: with a that goes up exactly even Carl Urban anyway. Yeah,
• 5:46
Speaker 1: also newcomer Kaim Murakami will play Sulu on the show.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: They will appear in the final episode of the upcoming
• 5:56
Speaker 1: fifth and final season. So there you go. I understand.
• 5:59
Speaker 1: Joe Decay was on a float, him and Rebecca Romain
• 6:04
Speaker 1: let us and Tignataro. We're all together. We're all on
• 6:08
Speaker 1: the same float in the rain. Yeah, that was I.
• 6:14
Speaker 1: I was telling people. I said, you know the Tignataro
• 6:17
Speaker 1: that we met like ten years ago, who was too
• 6:21
Speaker 1: cool for the room when she came in, completely different
• 6:24
Speaker 1: Tignataro now completely different. She's she's really loosened up. Uh
• 6:29
Speaker 1: you ready for more X Files? Sure? Are you? Why not? Uh?
• 6:35
Speaker 1: The let's see. Ryan Coogler noted that his new X
• 6:37
Speaker 1: File series will continue to have both Monsters of the
• 6:40
Speaker 1: Week and overarching conspiracy episodes, So that's good. But then
• 6:45
Speaker 1: he was asked if David Duchovny or Jillian Anderson would
• 6:48
Speaker 1: be appearing. He kind of got so yes, but he said,
• 6:54
Speaker 1: I'm a big fan of both, so yes, that means yes,
• 6:59
Speaker 1: we'll see. And finally this you'll be able to ignore
• 7:03
Speaker 1: tron areas from the comfort of your own home. I've
• 7:07
Speaker 1: still not seen it. It will hit Disney Plus on
• 7:11
Speaker 1: the seventh Carrie. Aren't you required to see that? Isn't
• 7:16
Speaker 1: that required geek viewing. I'll watch it on Wednesday when
• 7:20
Speaker 1: it drops. Everyone else can ignore it though, if you
• 7:24
Speaker 1: want to, because yeah, Disney said they're out of the
• 7:31
  Speaker 1: tron business, so
