  Speaker 2: I'm not sure you know what's stopping them from doing that,

  Speaker 2: It really is another wrinkle where we're playing a lot

  Speaker 2: of things out in the courtroom this offseason and it's

  Speaker 2: made it very confusing. But again, I think this will

  Speaker 2: will take effect after that and then you have your

  Speaker 2: five years of eligibility. It's gonna change the way teams

  Speaker 2: was taken with the number one pick and sat out. So,

  Speaker 2: like that, and it creates confusion on the NFL level.

  Speaker 2: I mean, it's kind of like the NBA. I liked

  Speaker 2: how the NBA used to do it where you could

  Speaker 2: test the draft. Well, now they have agents anyway. But

  Speaker 2: you know, once the Bettioco caseasketball with Alabama last year, right,

  Speaker 2: that showed that once you play in the G League,
• 5:04
  Speaker 2: you can't play college basketball technically. He did play a
• 5:07
  Speaker 2: couple of games. I think he averaged like you would
• 5:09
  Speaker 2: do this you were in the middle of the SEC.

  Speaker 2: I think he averaged like ten and seven. Yeah, but
• 5:14
  Speaker 2: I hope it doesn't come to football. It's just going

  Speaker 2: to create a larger mess.

  Speaker 4: Bill You guys did another great piece on the Sporting

  Speaker 4: News ranking the Coaches of twenty twenty six. I want

  Speaker 4: to talk about some of these coaches as it pertains

  Speaker 4: to their program. Grated, James Franklin and A minus. I

  Speaker 4: don't have a problem with this. I thought Virginia Tech

  Speaker 4: picked up a heck of a coach for James Franklin.

  Speaker 4: This is a place where he can reboot his career
• 5:35
  Speaker 4: and a place where I think he can go win

  Speaker 4: and maybe depended on you know what, they're allotment of

  Speaker 4: cash and thanks to that nature could put Virginia Tech

  Speaker 4: back on the map in the ACC.

  Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, I think James Franklin will do well there.

  Speaker 2: Bill Trochy did that piece he ranked the believe didn'ny
• 5:50
  Speaker 2: ranked the seventeen power for coach changings in college football,

  Speaker 2: ranging from you know, James Franklin to Pat Fitzgerald and

  Speaker 2: everything in between. Yeah, I'm hoping that for James Franklin.

  Speaker 2: I think what he did at Penn State was out

  Speaker 2: of standing. I was at the beginning of the end

  Speaker 2: the Oregon lost last year. One thing to remember though,

  Speaker 2: with James Franklin, he knows how to recruits. He knows

  Speaker 2: he did that at Vanderbilt. You know, Vanderbilt won games

  Speaker 2: when he was there. He won double digit games at
• 6:18
  Speaker 2: Penn State several times. He recruited Saquon Barkley and Michael Parsons,

  Speaker 2: so there's a lot to like. I do think Virginia

  Speaker 2: Tech will see it a renaissance. I don't want to

  Speaker 2: push him up too far this year, but we have
• 6:31
  Speaker 2: him on the outskirts in the top twenty five, and

  Speaker 2: they're right there with their in state rival, Virginia, who's

  Speaker 2: going to try to build on last year's appearance in

  Speaker 2: the ACC Championship game under Tony Elliott.

  Speaker 4: We haven't talked a lot about Penn State, and obviously

  Speaker 4: Penn State's in the news for all the wrong reasons

  Speaker 4: right now with some fraternity issues going on up there.

  Speaker 4: But Penn State now with Matt Campbell, who was you

  Speaker 4: know what ten years ago, one of the hottest names

  Speaker 4: in college football. Correct me from wrong. I believe he

  Speaker 4: was listed as a possible candidate for you know, Ohio

  Speaker 4: State back in twenty twenty twenty twenty one. In some

  Speaker 4: other places as well. Hey finally gets the big job

  Speaker 4: at Penn State, brings over quarterback, brings over a lot

  Speaker 4: of guys. Are we under selling Penn State? In year

  Speaker 4: one under Matt Campbell.

  Speaker 2: Well, I mean not really because of the schedule. I

  Speaker 2: mean they don't play Oregon, they don't play O High State,

  Speaker 2: they don't play Indiana. Yeah, you mentioned there. Ten State's

  Speaker 2: definitely on my timeline right now, but not for the

  Speaker 2: right reasons. But I think on the football fields with

  Speaker 2: Matt Campbell, they're gonna do okay. And I like the

  Speaker 2: Iowa State transfers. I don't you know, I've been asked

  Speaker 2: a great answer of what's that going to look like

  Speaker 2: in the Big Ten when you have twenty plus players

  Speaker 2: from Iowa State. I can tell you my first guest

  Speaker 2: is I've watched them go to toe to toe with

  Speaker 2: Iowa over the years, and Iowa has tough defense as anybody.

  Speaker 2: They always play close games. Matt Campbell knows how to

  Speaker 2: coach in that Big Ten style, and Rock Gooe Becks

  Speaker 2: has played a ton of football. So the pieces are

  Speaker 4: Eric Morris from North Texas to Oklahoma State. Man, what

  Speaker 2: just liked his way. You could tell a new quarterbacks

  Speaker 2: a little bit of a quarterback whisperer with Messa Maker

  Speaker 2: and Ward recruited John Matteer to Washington. Got some good

  Speaker 2: credentials for sure. So I think Eric Morrison is a

  Speaker 2: guy I'm in joint. I saw the story about him

  Speaker 2: shooting an armadillo, feel bad for the armadillo, But he's

  Speaker 2: definitely got a little bit of that character and colorfulness

  Speaker 2: that Mike Gundy had. So I'm glad we still have

  Speaker 2: that in Stillwater as well. They also picked up Till Hawkins,

  Speaker 2: the guy that had twenty plus touchdowns at North Texas

  Speaker 2: last year. So I'm looking forward to see how that

  Speaker 4: money that they put towards basketball baseball. I would assume football.

  Speaker 4: Ryan Silverfield though fifty to twenty four coming over from Memphis,

  Speaker 4: he comes over, wasn't probably the first choice there. The Hogs,

  Speaker 4: by most accounts, are rated as the the worst team

  Speaker 4: in the SEC and the biggest uphill battle to climb.

  Speaker 4: Can he win at Arkansas? And about win, I mean,

  Speaker 2: I mean that's the hope. And you know they've been

  Speaker 2: of a tough road. But I think three really good

  Speaker 2: American coaches, American Conference coaches came to the league. He's

  Speaker 2: won Galish at Auburn and then summer all at Florida,

  Speaker 2: And so when you hire good coaches, I think and

  Speaker 2: Ryan Silverfield is good. Against those guys in the American Conference.

  Speaker 2: They're gonna throw, They're gonna score a lot of points.

  Speaker 2: They're gonna try to That's what Memphis did. And I

  Speaker 2: think you know, on the Arkansas side, and when I've

  Speaker 2: watched them in recent seasons, they just didn't have much

  Speaker 2: of a presence on the defensive side of the ball.

  Speaker 2: Couldn't stop anybody. So it will be interesting to see
