- 0:54Speaker 3: it feels like months we've been here. It does feel
- 0:57Speaker 3: like a which back in the chamber is back in

- 1:03Speaker 3: access page, Bye Golly bye golly by Golly.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Dano, It's great to be in the House of the.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Jumping.
- 1:15Speaker 1: I am heading over to Judge Jerry's chambers. You are
- 1:18Speaker 1: going to Judge.
- 1:19Speaker 2: Rod and Judge what is it?
- 1:22Speaker 3: What justice is not some lemon concept a foreign lemon. Yes,
- 1:30Speaker 3: justice is not a lemon. No it is not. So
- 1:32Speaker 3: we're both right, We're both right. Yes, and I'm gonna
- 1:35Speaker 3: be honest. I saw the case, I saw the time
- 1:38Speaker 3: on it. I was like, this is it. This will
- 1:39Speaker 3: be my short boy. I'm gonna go ahead and watch
- 1:41Speaker 3: this one real quick, and it was way deeper and
- 1:45Speaker 3: more serious than I ever thought it could be.
- 1:47Speaker 2: Okay, so I'm gonna go ahead and go first.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Okay, let's get the mood down and there, judgment, bring
- 1:52Speaker 1: it up, bring up married in a haunted house.
- 1:54Speaker 2: That's some high jinks.
- 1:55Speaker 3: That's engage in a haunted house, but bad whatever? Not
- 1:59Speaker 3: what I Martha Robinson is suing Pamela Jones for seven
- 2:06Speaker 3: and two dollars and fifty cents for collect calls that
- 2:10Speaker 3: Pamela accepted in Martha's home.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Okay, great, God seems.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Pretty above bort from a case. Uh it isn't. Let's
- 2:18Speaker 2: hear from Martha. Wow, who did that?
- 2:24Speaker 1: I forgot, I forget I record things and I forget
- 2:28Speaker 1: what they are?
- 2:28Speaker 2: Happy, d D late. This is it.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Week's late, but it's all right, Martha says. Uh.
- 2:37Speaker 1: Judge Ross says this is an interesting case.
- 2:38Speaker 3: He's very somber when he opens up the folder and
- 2:41Speaker 3: he's like, this case has really made me think a lot,
- 2:43Speaker 3: and I'm like, collect calls what what why? And he goes, Uh, Martha,
- 2:47Speaker 3: we're gonna start with you tell me about your son.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Martha's son not in the corporate Martha's the plaintiff. Yes, okay,
- 2:53Speaker 3: Martha goes, My son's name is Rodney Robinson. He's been
- 2:56Speaker 3: incarcerated for arm robbery, uh, for about six months months
- 3:00Speaker 3: or eight months that he committed.
- 3:02Speaker 2: And he's twenty eight years old.
- 3:04Speaker 3: And Ross is like, okay, twenty eight. This means this
- 3:10Speaker 3: probably is not his first defense doing something like this.
- 3:13Speaker 3: To be in jail at twenty eight typically that just
- 3:15Speaker 3: doesn't happen. That's kind of unusual out of the blue.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Has he been arrested before? She says, no, he's never
- 3:22Speaker 3: been arrested before. Wow, he said, tell me what happened.
- 3:24Speaker 3: He and a few friends robbed a convenience store in
- 3:26Speaker 3: the middle of the day. This is his first time
- 3:28Speaker 3: doing anything and he's in jail. Wow, she's And Ross goes,
- 3:32Speaker 3: what was he doing for the ten years before this?
- 3:35Speaker 3: And she says not much of anything. He didn't really work,
- 3:38Speaker 3: he didn't go to school, nothing. And Ross is like, yep,
- 3:41Speaker 3: that checks out, so he probably did some stuff. And
- 3:44Speaker 3: didn't blah blah blah. So let's go over to Pamela.
- 3:47Speaker 3: Pamela is younger, and he goes and that is where
- 3:49Speaker 3: you come in Pamelacas. He didn't commit a robbery, you're honor.
- 3:53Speaker 3: She's very well spool.
- 3:53Speaker 2: He didn't. He didn't do it.
- 3:55Speaker 3: He was in his friend's car waiting for them to
- 3:58Speaker 3: come out. He didn't do a thing. He was wrongfully arrested.
- 4:02Speaker 3: You shouldn't be in jail. We'll get there, okay. Pamela
- 4:05Speaker 3: is emphatic that he should not, and the mom is
- 4:09Speaker 3: emphatic that he didn't. Yes, so uh, she's very Pamela,
- 4:14Speaker 3: very well spoken, very calm, cool, collective.
- 4:16Speaker 2: Ross says, were you there? No, your honor, wasn't there.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Did you plead? Did he plead to the charge? Did
- 4:22Speaker 3: he say he was guilty? Uh, your honor, He did
- 4:25Speaker 3: plead the charge because he didn't want to go to
- 4:27Speaker 3: jail for twenty years. So he's going to jail for
- 4:29Speaker 3: two years instead. And that's important because we have a
- 4:33Speaker 3: son together, got it. So our son is no, he
- 4:37Speaker 3: wasn't doing much of nothing. He was doing a little
- 4:39Speaker 3: of at.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Least something something.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Their son is nine years old. Whoa boy? Nine years? Okay?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yes, so Ross says, so you've been with this guy
- 4:52Speaker 3: for ten years. It wasn't working, wasn't going to school.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Why in the world were you were you with this
- 4:57Speaker 3: guy for ten years? And she is very articulate. We've
- 5:00Speaker 3: never been homeless, we've never been on the streets. He's
- 5:03Speaker 3: never done any drugs. He did work. That is not true.
- 5:06Speaker 3: And Martha at this point pops up and goes, they
- 5:08Speaker 3: lived with me, your honor, Ross goes. Pamela says, we
- 5:11Speaker 3: live with you for two and a half years, and
- 5:13Speaker 3: Ross goes, well, two and a half years in your
- 5:14Speaker 3: twenties is a long time. And then Pamela says we
- 5:18Speaker 3: helped her financially. And he says, what was Rodney doing
- 5:21Speaker 3: to help financially? How are you helping financially? If this
- 5:23Speaker 3: guy didn't work, She says, your honor, he did work.
- 5:26Speaker 3: He would had a friend who was a construction worker,
- 5:29Speaker 3: and he would do independent contracting for that friend and
- 5:31Speaker 3: he assists them. And he says, what do you do?
- 5:34Speaker 3: She goes, I work part time in retail. I'm a
- 5:36Speaker 3: full time student going to school to be a medical assistant.
- 5:38Speaker 2: Wow.
- 5:39Speaker 3: So Ross at this point goes, see, Rodney, Rodney had
- 5:43Speaker 3: good taste, he knew what he was.
- 5:45Speaker 2: Getting with you. You I don't know.
- 5:48Speaker 3: I don't know because it doesn't sound like Rodney was
- 5:50Speaker 3: contributing any meaningful way to the situation. And at this
- 5:54Speaker 3: point Martha goes, thank you, that's her kid I was
- 5:57Speaker 3: talking about. It's very confusing, says, that's your son you're
- 6:01Speaker 3: talking about that is in jail, and you just said
- 6:05Speaker 3: thank you to him being a deadbeat when it's not true.
- 6:09Speaker 3: And Kevin Ross says, this.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Is the weirdest thing because it's typically like the opposite
- 6:14Speaker 1: of how it goes ex usually like the parent things
- 6:16Speaker 1: all other kids. And then there is I know they're
- 6:19Speaker 1: a dead be they never were there for me, they
- 6:22Speaker 1: like and in this particular case, I tend to trust
- 6:26Speaker 1: the person that that's right is sticking by.
- 6:28Speaker 3: Him, so is Kevin Ross. Kevin Ross says, only a
- 6:31Speaker 3: mom could say that. Only a mom could say that,
- 6:33Speaker 3: and that's what she said. Martha said, look, the reality
- 6:37Speaker 3: is Judge Ross. Uh, and she breaks down in tears.
- 6:41Speaker 2: My child told me in.
- 6:43Speaker 3: Prison for five straight months that he was innocent and
- 6:46Speaker 3: then it turns out he wasn't.
- 6:48Speaker 2: I don't know what changed her mind?
- 6:49Speaker 1: Does that mean?
- 6:50Speaker 2: I don't know what that means. She's crying and we
- 6:52Speaker 2: don't get anything else out of it.
- 6:53Speaker 3: It's not healthy for him to visit his Basically, she says,
- 6:59Speaker 3: I don't want my grand and son to have any
- 7:00Speaker 3: connection with his father, none, zero, right now while he's
- 7:05Speaker 3: in jail.
- 7:06Speaker 2: I don't want it. It's not healthy. I don't want it.
- 7:11Speaker 3: So Kevin Ross goes, So this is where the phone
- 7:13Speaker 3: calls come in. Your son is accepting collect calls from
- 7:18Speaker 3: his father in jail on his mom's home phone. And
- 7:23Speaker 3: Pamela says, yes, you're on her, but I do help
- 7:25Speaker 3: pay the bills in the house.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I'm sorry. So the son is.
- 7:31Speaker 3: Son lives with the grandma, and the mom got it,
- 7:33Speaker 3: and so the dad's calling collect from who gets the
- 7:36Speaker 3: phone bill.
- 7:36Speaker 1: It's grandma.
- 7:37Speaker 3: The grandma got it, the mom of the kid in jail.
- 7:40Speaker 3: That's why she's suing. She didn't want to accept the call.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Pamela is accepting the calls and let the kids speak
- 7:45Speaker 3: to his Okay, serious stuff.
- 7:48Speaker 2: Okay, so uh at this point Ross just stops. Everybody goes.
- 7:52Speaker 3: So we've got two things going on here. We've got
- 7:55Speaker 3: a mother dealing with the pain of an incarcerated child.
- 7:57Speaker 3: And we have a mother dealing with the pain of
- 7:59Speaker 3: raising a child his father is incarcerated.
- 8:03Speaker 2: This is tough.
- 8:04Speaker 3: But and then he says, basically, but miss Jones, you
- 8:09Speaker 3: need to understand. If you're in your own place, you're
- 8:11Speaker 3: in your own thing, you can make and receive all
- 8:14Speaker 3: the collect calls.
- 8:15Speaker 2: You want to you want to receive.
- 8:17Speaker 3: But in her house where she pays the bills and
- 8:20Speaker 3: it's the tag is her name.
- 8:22Speaker 2: You can't do that.
- 8:24Speaker 3: And and and once again she goes, you'r honor, I
- 8:27Speaker 3: help pay the bills. But also she doesn't want my
- 8:30Speaker 3: son to have a relationship with his father. And Ross says, stop,
- 8:36Speaker 3: I understand why you're upset, but it is your job
- 8:40Speaker 3: to figure out another way of communicating with him.
- 8:43Speaker 2: It is her house and and uh and uh.
- 8:47Speaker 3: Pamela says, uh, well, we've already done that, We've already
- 8:51Speaker 3: fixed it. Like she's not gonna she's moving somewhere else.
- 8:54Speaker 3: And Ross says, she's told you it's her house and
- 8:56Speaker 3: to not make those calls. And at this point, Pamela,
- 8:59Speaker 3: some thing switches in her who has been calm and
- 9:01Speaker 3: articulate the whole time, and she goes, I don't make
- 9:04Speaker 3: the calls you're on her.
- 9:05Speaker 2: I receive them.
- 9:07Speaker 3: She corrects Boss Ross, and at this point Ross takes
- 9:12Speaker 3: a deep breath and he goes, Okay, earlier I said
- 9:16Speaker 3: that Rodney had good taste.
- 9:18Speaker 2: I think I'm gonna have to walk that back. Oh
- 9:20Speaker 2: my gosh, Ross.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And Pamela says, well, that's an insult. You can say
- 9:24Speaker 3: whatever you want, but she's aware of what I do
- 9:26Speaker 3: for her household. She can't handle it on her own,
- 9:28Speaker 3: and you can ask her and let her answer the question.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Ross says, you can ignore people if you want, but
- 9:34Speaker 3: you're not gonna ignore me. These calls were made in
- 9:37Speaker 3: her house, you were living there. This is not about
- 9:42Speaker 3: the help you do around the house. Pamela then says,
- 9:46Speaker 3: you sound like the twelve people in the jury making assumptions.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Oh.
- 9:53Speaker 3: Ross then says, ma'am, you've got a smart mouth, and
- 9:57Speaker 3: I am insulting you because you don't understand our s
- 10:00Speaker 3: p E.
- 10:00Speaker 1: C t Le's respect, respect. I got it.
- 10:04Speaker 3: She says, that's not what I'm saying, and he says,
- 10:06Speaker 3: do you hear what I'm saying?
- 10:10Speaker 2: He's ready to rule.
- 10:12Speaker 1: So is Pamela claiming that she has paid for.
- 10:18Speaker 3: The phone she's paid, claiming that she does work around
- 10:21Speaker 3: the house and helps pay bills in the home. We
- 10:23Speaker 3: don't hear any of what those are or the paperwork
- 10:26Speaker 3: of them.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Okay, well, then I am going to assume that she
- 10:32Speaker 1: is going to owe the money for said phone calls
- 10:34Speaker 1: that were made in the house of the woman who
- 10:36Speaker 1: said don't don't accept the phone calls. An intriguing case, though,
- 10:42Speaker 1: I think if she were to come in and say
- 10:46Speaker 1: more clearly, like if there was some sort of arrangements,
- 10:50Speaker 1: like hey, I will do this and we'll pay for
- 10:52Speaker 1: the phone bill, Like I don't know what bill she's paying,
- 10:55Speaker 1: so that's part of the money moneiness of it. But no,
- 10:58Speaker 1: she's gonna owe the.
- 10:59Speaker 3: Money, so he says. So then he says, do you
- 11:03Speaker 3: hear what I'm saying? And then she says, I'm not
- 11:06Speaker 3: gonna let my son have no connection with his father.
- 11:09Speaker 3: He says, ma'am, your position has no merit. And then
- 11:13Speaker 3: Pamela looks at him and says, you're contradicting yourself, and
- 11:17Speaker 3: Ross says, sit down, sit down. He says it twice.
- 11:22Speaker 3: She doesn't sit down, and he says bailiff, I need
- 11:24Speaker 3: you to get her out of the courtroom. Bailiff es
- 11:27Speaker 3: hurts her out of the room. Out On the way out,
- 11:29Speaker 3: she says Rodney is innocent, and she walks out of
- 11:32Speaker 3: the room. Ross goes, this is tough. It's tough, and
- 11:38Speaker 3: early on she started off really strong. But Martha, I
- 11:41Speaker 3: think I.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Just I agree with you.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Not only are your seven hundred two dollars, but considering
- 11:46Speaker 3: what's going on right now, you're gonna need to get
- 11:48Speaker 3: her out of your house. And Martha breaks down crying
- 11:52Speaker 3: and says, but my grandchild. I want my grandson to
- 11:54Speaker 3: be around and be raised well. And he goes, you're
- 11:57Speaker 3: in a tough spot. You're in a tough situation. And
- 11:59Speaker 3: that's the into the case judgment in favor of the planet.
- 12:02Speaker 3: So he brought the mood all the way down.
- 12:04Speaker 1: And I also, I granted I haven't seen the case,
- 12:07Speaker 1: but this is clear of Pamela. I believe Pamela is
- 12:13Speaker 1: a mother who cares very much for her child, Yes,
- 12:16Speaker 1: and wants her child to have some sort of relationships
- 12:20Speaker 1: with her father.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Both moms care for their child.
- 12:23Speaker 3: Yeah, that's the thing about the case that's tough, is
- 12:25Speaker 3: both moms care for their child, and Ross makes a
- 12:27Speaker 3: point of going. I think we think it's good for
- 12:30Speaker 3: the kid to go visit the dad in jail. But psychologically,
- 12:33Speaker 3: if you read the reports, I'm not sure it is.
- 12:36Speaker 1: He says that, but is he visiting or is he
- 12:38Speaker 1: just making phone calls?
- 12:39Speaker 3: Well, I think he does conflate the two into one.
- 12:44Speaker 3: But he says visiting, even though this is about calls.
- 12:47Speaker 3: So it's something it was a real time we had. Well,
- 12:51Speaker 3: let me introduce you to Kayla Rooney.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Who Kayla Rooney I think looks a little bit like
- 12:57Speaker 1: Billie Eilish And Aaron said, yes, so did you come
- 13:02Speaker 1: in and get a second a second opinion? Yes, she's
- 13:06Speaker 1: suing Roy. I didn't get Roy's last name. I assume
- 13:10Speaker 1: he has one, though, Roy Roy with Kayla is suing
- 13:13Speaker 1: Roy two thousand, eight hundred and fifteen dollars for the
- 13:19Speaker 1: price of a ring and a phone bill. Are you ready?
- 13:27Speaker 2: I'm ready ringing phone bill.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Kayla and Roy started dating in June of twenty eighteen.
- 13:33Speaker 1: Sparks were flying, sparks were flying. They move in together.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Kayla says she's so happy. The relationship is just poifit
- 13:40Speaker 1: poy fake, that's something that I said. I threw that
- 13:42Speaker 1: in there, but she does say that she's just a
- 13:44Speaker 1: wonderful time. It's around Halloween and they go to a
- 13:47Speaker 1: haunted house because Halloween is Kayla's favorite hall.
- 13:52Speaker 3: Okay, so he actually this guy's really doing it, really
- 13:54Speaker 3: doing it right, but he just decided to pop the question.
- 13:56Speaker 2: What no hold on?
- 13:57Speaker 5: Now?
- 13:57Speaker 1: They go through it and then listen to the whole story.
- 14:00Speaker 1: They go through a haunted house. They're in the haunted house,
- 14:03Speaker 1: they get split up somehow, someone with a chainsaw starts
- 14:07Speaker 1: chasing her around the haunted house. I'm assuming one of
- 14:10Speaker 1: the players, it wasn't a random person. And she's running
- 14:14Speaker 1: and she gets tripped somehow, falls down, gets up, looks
- 14:19Speaker 1: behind her and.
- 14:20Speaker 2: Who's on their knees? Who's on their knee? Ready to
- 14:24Speaker 2: pop the question?
- 14:26Speaker 1: Our guy Roy Jerry's very impressed by this. Roy says, yeah,
- 14:31Speaker 1: I got everything set up with the staff beforehand. It
- 14:34Speaker 1: was all a big purpose. It does seem like that,
- 14:40Speaker 1: but what can you do physical harm?
- 14:43Speaker 2: Maybe it's just me.
- 14:44Speaker 1: From there, things are going just swell until Kayla starts
- 14:49Speaker 1: to get a gut feeling women's intuition that something is
- 14:55Speaker 1: up Roy, I think he might now. Uh So one
- 15:02Speaker 1: day he goes he's in the shower nude.
- 15:06Speaker 2: He didn't have his clothes on in the shower.
- 15:08Speaker 1: He didn't have his clothes on, I know. And so
- 15:11Speaker 1: she decided, this is the moment I'm going to go
- 15:14Speaker 1: through his phone and just I want to make in
- 15:18Speaker 1: the shower. That's exactly right, Aaron, what are your thoughts
- 15:21Speaker 1: on going through your dating significant other phone?
- 15:28Speaker 5: I did it once.
- 15:29Speaker 1: How to go for you?
- 15:30Speaker 5: Well, I knew that he was cheating, and I just
- 15:35Speaker 5: wanted to proof. Other than that, I think that you
- 15:39Speaker 5: have to just make that choice to trust them, and
- 15:41Speaker 5: if you don't, then that's not really a relationship.
- 15:43Speaker 1: But if you have, but if you you don't, you
- 15:45Speaker 1: don't think if you have a gut feeling, you should go.
- 15:49Speaker 3: So when you were when he this dude was cheating,
- 15:51Speaker 3: you had a feeling someone.
- 15:53Speaker 5: Had told me, but he was denying it. So I
- 15:55Speaker 5: was just trying to.
- 15:57Speaker 2: Yeah, got it, that's all it there.
- 16:01Speaker 6: Really, it's just I you know, I I I There's
- 16:05Speaker 6: a lot of cases like this and it's just the
- 16:08Speaker 6: best job.
- 16:08Speaker 2: Ever, some days Aaron has to go back and talk
- 16:10Speaker 2: about how well yeah, I didn't know. I in my defense,
- 16:14Speaker 2: I didn't know that part of your story.
- 16:15Speaker 5: And I'm unhappy. I am happy to unpack any.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Of this, right, thank you. She's unhappy.
- 16:21Speaker 4: She's listen, you said what you said, you said, you
- 16:25Speaker 4: can't cover it up that, Yeah, stopping the breaks the phone.
- 16:36Speaker 2: I don't know if that's okay.
- 16:37Speaker 6: I uh, it's just you know, there's a lot of
- 16:42Speaker 6: these cases, and I always wonder what I would do
- 16:45Speaker 6: in a situation like that, because to me, like when
- 16:48Speaker 6: you're married, like, yeah, we have going on each other exactly.
- 16:53Speaker 1: But that's it's a different it's a different twenty years.
- 16:57Speaker 1: I know, it's a different type of relationship though, that's
- 17:00Speaker 1: the marriage relationship versus dating. And I always whatever this happened,
- 17:06Speaker 1: and it's like, yeah, I wonder what's I wonder what
- 17:08Speaker 1: wonder what I would do in this situation? Is?
- 17:10Speaker 2: Is is we know what?
- 17:12Speaker 1: We know what Aeron would do? Right? She told us,
- 17:15Speaker 1: So she goes through the phone, and.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Was he in the shower when you went through the phone.
- 17:21Speaker 5: No, he was a practice what kind of practice football?
- 17:24Speaker 2: Football? Okay? Wow?
- 17:29Speaker 1: Any more questions before?
- 17:31Speaker 2: Well, now, like where did he leave his phone?
- 17:32Speaker 5: Drink?
- 17:33Speaker 2: Why did.
- 17:35Speaker 5: Well. He had like gone out with his friends and
- 17:36Speaker 5: I he left his phone behind and I was like,
- 17:38Speaker 5: all right, now the time.
- 17:39Speaker 1: You're just asking that, yeah.
- 17:42Speaker 5: It was pretty much over and I just wanted that final.
- 17:44Speaker 3: Proof and then yeah see ye yeah perfect, okay. Well, well,
- 17:48Speaker 3: well more on that, More on.
- 17:49Speaker 1: That, very interesting, more more more on that later. So
- 17:54Speaker 1: she goes through the phone and it becomes clear to
- 17:59Speaker 1: her that Roy is having a relationship with somebody else.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Now this gets a little bit even messier because he
- 18:13Speaker 1: denies that this is happening. Was amazing, She says, it
- 18:17Speaker 1: is happening. And to make matters worse, it's a member
- 18:22Speaker 1: of my family.
- 18:23Speaker 2: What please tell me it's a sister.
- 18:26Speaker 1: We don't get into. We don't get into she keeps saying,
- 18:29Speaker 1: a member of my family. She I don't know if
- 18:32Speaker 1: it's a cousin. I don't know. If it's a sister,
- 18:34Speaker 1: I don't know, if it's a mom. I don't know,
- 18:36Speaker 1: if it's a grandma.
- 18:38Speaker 2: We don't know. Yeah, yeah, we don't know. He doesn't.
- 18:40Speaker 2: He doesn't.
- 18:41Speaker 1: We don't get into who it is. Don't get into that,
- 18:45Speaker 1: he says, no, no, no, I didn't. She says, the
- 18:48Speaker 1: member of the family came clean and admitted to having
- 18:51Speaker 1: the relationship. Uh so yeah, so they yeah that that
- 18:59Speaker 1: that's how happening. One day, she's in the shower, naked
- 19:04Speaker 1: and shower both of these two people clothe without any
- 19:10Speaker 1: shower with a shower without any clothes on. Can you
- 19:13Speaker 1: believe this? Socks a shower there, socks on?
- 19:19Speaker 2: Can you imagine taking a show?
- 19:25Speaker 1: No, give me my socks. So uh So, she gets
- 19:31Speaker 1: out of the shower one day and she notices that
- 19:33Speaker 1: her engagement ring that she only takes off when she's
- 19:37Speaker 1: in the shower is missing. So it's a murky here.
- 19:41Speaker 1: If she was trying to make things work, if they
- 19:43Speaker 1: were broken up, if they were on a break whatever,
- 19:46Speaker 1: But at the time, she was still wearing her engagement
- 19:48Speaker 1: ring and he stole it. And she goes in the shower,
- 19:52Speaker 1: she and she takes off her clothes and the ring
- 19:54Speaker 1: and the ring. So uh full monty and uh she
- 20:00Speaker 1: gets out of the shower and she notices that the
- 20:02Speaker 1: ring is missing, and that Roy is the only one
- 20:05Speaker 1: that would have taken it. And also he was seriously
- 20:08Speaker 1: buys a p It's five immediately after the rig goes mysteriously,
- 20:12Speaker 1: so yeah, he probably took the ring back. Roy admits
- 20:16Speaker 1: that he took it. He says, I paid for it.
- 20:20Speaker 1: If we're not going to get married, I want it back.
- 20:22Speaker 1: He says that he broke up with her because she
- 20:26Speaker 1: didn't get me. He said, I'm a black man, she's
- 20:32Speaker 1: a white woman. She doesn't understand what it's like to
- 20:34Speaker 1: be me. Was he willing to propose to her, yes,
- 20:39Speaker 1: so I don't know what happened in between proposal and
- 20:42Speaker 1: this in regards to what he's talking about family, yes, yes,
- 20:47Speaker 1: but also I don't know if you just realized she's white.
- 20:50Speaker 1: I don't know what happened, but at some point that
- 20:53Speaker 1: became a problem for him, so he breaks up with
- 20:57Speaker 1: herr says Roy, Did you cheat on her with a
- 21:02Speaker 1: member of her family? He says no, I talked to
- 21:07Speaker 1: this member of the family on a regular basis, trying
- 21:11Speaker 1: to under like know how I can care for her more.
- 21:15Speaker 1: But I did not cheat on her. Uh, And I
- 21:18Speaker 1: believe that she's crazy and is making it up. Jerry says, Roy,
- 21:22Speaker 1: you're under oath. Did you sleep with the member of
- 21:26Speaker 1: her family? And Roy says I did. He folds like
- 21:33Speaker 1: a like a like a like the clothes you take
- 21:38Speaker 1: off before taking a shower. So uh, Kaylea says, first
- 21:43Speaker 1: of all, she's like, thank you, thank you for Why didn't.
- 21:46Speaker 2: You just say that you take a shower, you take
- 21:48Speaker 2: your clothes.
- 21:48Speaker 1: Off and fold them.
- 21:49Speaker 2: Yeah. I was just trying to wrap my brain around those.
- 21:53Speaker 2: There's some gymnastics there to get there.
- 21:55Speaker 1: But again I don't I don't shower.
- 21:59Speaker 3: But what you imagine people take their clothes off and
- 22:02Speaker 3: they imagined them. What are you gonna crumble them up? Yeah,
- 22:06Speaker 3: they're in the laundry. Now they go to the laundry. Interesting, Yeah,
- 22:08Speaker 3: that's how that works.
- 22:10Speaker 1: So how do they get clean?
- 22:12Speaker 3: You wash them in a machine in the shower. Nope,
- 22:15Speaker 3: in a machine, and then they dry them. Then you
- 22:17Speaker 3: fold them on up and then you then you fold
- 22:19Speaker 3: them there.
- 22:19Speaker 1: There's there's there's separates devices.
- 22:24Speaker 2: For cleaning and close.
- 22:25Speaker 3: You don't have to put them on to clean. What's
- 22:26Speaker 3: the point of the shower to clean your body?
- 22:29Speaker 2: Yeah? I know this is all new information for you.
- 22:34Speaker 1: So Roy says he did it. This is all shocking
- 22:36Speaker 1: to Kayla. But it's like that if you would have
- 22:39Speaker 1: told me, we would have maybe been able to work
- 22:41Speaker 1: things out, but instead you lied until you were lit
- 22:44Speaker 1: and for we're all one to say it, so, Kallas says.
- 22:49Speaker 1: After they broke up, she starts to get bills for
- 22:52Speaker 1: a Sprint phone. Yea, and she says, I don't have Sprints.
- 22:59Speaker 1: He knew all of my info, including my social Security number.
- 23:03Speaker 1: He could have easily opened up a phone plan under
- 23:06Speaker 1: my name. He says, I have T Mobile that he
- 23:11Speaker 1: didn't merge, so I don't know how all that would
- 23:13Speaker 1: work out. I believe it would technically come from T
- 23:16Speaker 1: Mobile though, because T Mobile is the parent. Jerry says,
- 23:20Speaker 1: if she, do you have any phone records to show,
- 23:24Speaker 1: like who's using the phone? Like like you know how
- 23:27Speaker 1: T mobile sensu is a.
- 23:28Speaker 2: Paper bill everything the paper bill every month.
- 23:30Speaker 1: Do you have that paper bill.
- 23:32Speaker 2: And I could go through and see who you text?
- 23:34Speaker 1: It's exactly right, It's exactly right. It's a lot of
- 23:37Speaker 1: it's a lot of you, it's a lot of my wife.
- 23:41Speaker 2: You do use the most data of the four. I
- 23:42Speaker 2: always check that.
- 23:43Speaker 3: Yeah, how much that me and then Caitlin and then
- 23:47Speaker 3: my wife is.
- 23:47Speaker 1: Lest That sounds about right, yeah, Jerry says. Ask for
- 23:52Speaker 1: the phone records, She says, I do not have those
- 23:54Speaker 1: with me and he is ready to rule.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Okay, you can always take a ring back. The ring
- 24:02Speaker 3: is the one gift that you can take back. She
- 24:04Speaker 3: is not gonna get any money because they broke up,
- 24:06Speaker 3: and she's not gonna get it. Even if she doesn't
- 24:08Speaker 3: think they broke up. They did break up. He can
- 24:10Speaker 3: take the ring. You're exactly right, Dan.
- 24:13Speaker 1: The phone and claim gets thrown out because she does
- 24:15Speaker 1: not have any records and the ring is a conditional gift.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Both cases, both claims are dismissed. But I will say
- 24:21Speaker 1: this in the after party where they you know, say words.
- 24:27Speaker 3: Roy.
- 24:28Speaker 1: After the show, Roy, talking to the camera says, if
- 24:34Speaker 1: I could do this all over again, I would sleeping
- 24:37Speaker 1: with her family member felt good.
- 24:39Speaker 2: Wow. Roy went from denying everything.
- 24:43Speaker 1: To being like, give me another that's right. I don't
- 24:47Speaker 1: know how it happened. He went from literally refusing to
- 24:51Speaker 1: admit to having any sort of relationship with the stay
- 24:54Speaker 1: one word going.
- 24:55Speaker 3: Was it really the under oath thing? Like the truth
- 24:57Speaker 3: set him free? Like it was like your under oath
- 24:59Speaker 3: in Judge Jerry's courtroom. You can't be tried for perjury anywhere.
- 25:03Speaker 3: You say whatever you want and Judge Jerry's courtroom. But
- 25:06Speaker 3: it worked for him apparently, so good on you, Roy.
- 25:08Speaker 1: Good luck Roy, Phineas is coming for you. That's a
- 25:11Speaker 1: Billie Eilis joke. For those of you get home. We
- 25:13Speaker 1: did everybody.
- 25:14Speaker 2: Congratulations.
- 25:14Speaker 1: We're gonna be back in a couple of weeks with
- 25:17Speaker 1: another gavel. Until then, all rise.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Yo.
