- 0:00Speaker 1: You were talking about Epstein.
- 0:03Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you know, it's all disappointing. I guess
- 0:05Speaker 2: it's just I don't think we're going to get the
- 0:07Speaker 2: perfect answer because... Just because there's a photo, she did release,
- 0:11Speaker 2: Pam Bondi released three and a half million pages. And
- 0:14Speaker 2: they messed that up, right? There were names that could
- 0:17Speaker 2: have redacted and accidentally got through. Do you know how
- 0:19Speaker 2: many pieces of paper or how much information that is
- 0:23Speaker 2: to siphon through? I think they over-promised and under-delivered. And
- 0:27Speaker 2: that is annoying and makes me angry. I mean, I
- 0:30Speaker 2: want them all prosecuted. I want them strung up in
- 0:33Speaker 2: the middle of the town square. But This is, I think,
- 0:37Speaker 2: a lot more difficult than people think. I mean, the
- 0:39Speaker 2: obvious one that, you know, people.
- 0:42Speaker 3: Talk about, what's his name, Prince Andrew?
- 0:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 0:48Speaker 2: I mean, you hear about the obvious ones that we know,
- 0:50Speaker 2: but I mean, there's many others, and I'm sure there's
- 0:52Speaker 2: representatives and senators' names that are in that list, too.
- 0:55Speaker 2: But if somebody, you know, if somebody came out and
- 1:00Speaker 2: these women came out and made a statement to the public,
- 1:03Speaker 2: it'd be.
- 1:03Speaker 4: Pretty hard to hide from that.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You have to have cooperation from the victim as well.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I'm not saying they.
- 1:11Speaker 2: Are not fully. I don't think they'll fully get the
- 1:15Speaker 2: cooperation from the victim. Because they're afraid to come forward?
- 1:20Speaker 2: I don't know. I'm just saying it's not as simple,
- 1:23Speaker 2: I don't think, as what everybody's saying. It annoys me
- 1:25Speaker 2: just as bad as it annoys everybody else. But when
- 1:29Speaker 2: you look at the scope of things, nobody else did
- 1:32Speaker 2: anything about it. And I know the two wrongs don't
- 1:35Speaker 2: make a right. I guess what I'm saying is, I mean,
- 1:37Speaker 2: this is a complicated issue. I don't know.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Well, let me just say this. Do you think that
- 1:45Speaker 1: the victims deserve justice?
- 1:48Speaker 2: A thousand percent.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Bring them up in the street.
- 1:53Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Do you think they'll ever see justice?
- 1:55Speaker 4: No.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Why? And so would you conclude that there's a two-tier
- 2:00Speaker 1: system here? that Epstein was with the intelligence community and
- 2:04Speaker 1: they were doing this type of behavior to try to
- 2:07Speaker 1: get something on these people to be able to have
- 2:08Speaker 1: control over them. Would that be a concern of yours?
- 2:12Speaker 3: Definitely a concern. I think it's definitely a concern.
- 2:15Speaker 1: So would you be concerned who might have those videotapes
- 2:18Speaker 1: or who might have those files and potentially still be
- 2:21Speaker 1: using it over these people, whether they're in politics or financial..
- 2:27Speaker 3: Uh-huh, I think that's about half the stuff in Washington happened.
- 2:32Speaker 3: I mean, I think all of that.
- 2:35Speaker 2: I think it's, hey, come to the party, and oh, look,
- 2:37Speaker 2: here's a hooker. And then there's a guy videotaping him,
- 2:41Speaker 2: and he doesn't know that the guy is standing there.
- 2:44Speaker 2: And then it's like, oh, how are you going to
- 2:45Speaker 2: vote tomorrow?
- 2:46Speaker 4: Right.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Well, I'm going to vote against it. All of these
- 2:50Speaker 2: guys are so dumb, and they're walking into traps.
- 2:54Speaker 1: Right, but I'm just saying... This is the scenario, I think,
- 2:57Speaker 1: in the Epstein situation. And I would question, based on
- 3:01Speaker 1: what Pam Bondi said, who has all of these files?
- 3:04Speaker 1: I don't know that those files existed when she got there. Perhaps,
- 3:09Speaker 1: I mean, they were sitting around a long time. Who
- 3:11Speaker 1: knows who has them?
- 3:13Speaker 2: What happened to them? Who were they manipulating as well?
- 3:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 3:18Speaker 1: Who has them? Where are they? And who's using them?
- 3:24Speaker 1: I mean, that would be the questions that I would have,
- 3:26Speaker 1: but I don't believe for a minute that Epstein committed suicide.
- 3:30Speaker 1: I don't believe for a minute that it was all...
- 3:35Speaker 1: I think that there was a lot... It was so well-known,
- 3:38Speaker 1: Lolita Express, Epstein, a pedophile island, and all this kind
- 3:42Speaker 1: of stuff. I mean, before he was... brought to justice
- 3:46Speaker 1: a second time, that information was out there. And these
- 3:49Speaker 1: people want to act like, oh, gee, I had no idea.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Like Hillary Clinton, when she said, boy, I hardly knew Epstein. Well,
- 3:56Speaker 1: then tell me what's Maxwell doing at your daughter's wedding? Oh,
- 4:02Speaker 1: I mean, the Clintons are the best at playing dumb. Hey,
- 4:05Speaker 1: who were you in the hot tub with? Oh, I
- 4:09Speaker 1: I mean, they're just, of course, none of these people
- 4:11Speaker 1: are going to admit they did any of this. I
- 4:12Speaker 1: get it.
- 4:13Speaker 2: No, they're never going to.
- 4:15Speaker 1: They're never going to. I mean, he lied, obviously, with
- 4:18Speaker 1: Monica Lewinsky and all of them. I don't know. Listen,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I don't care if Trump was involved in it or not.
- 4:25Speaker 1: If Trump was involved in it, then he should be
- 4:27Speaker 1: held accountable, too.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Right now, absolutely.
- 4:31Speaker 1: I mean, it doesn't matter to me if these are
- 4:32Speaker 1: Republicans or Democrats, but it's like an elitist attitude. We
- 4:38Speaker 1: can do whatever we want to do with whomever we
- 4:40Speaker 1: want to do, and there'll be no ramifications to it.
- 4:43Speaker 1: And that is coming very much true because nothing's legally
- 4:49Speaker 1: going to happen.
- 4:52Speaker 4: And you're right.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Some of them will get financial settlements on a civil lawsuit.
- 4:56Speaker 1: But what about a lawsuit outside of that instead of
- 5:00Speaker 1: a settlement in that case? Where's the justice that we deserve?
- 5:05Speaker 3: That's exactly true.
- 5:07Speaker 2: Where is it?
- 5:09Speaker 3: I get all that, and I don't.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Care what party you are. If you participated, if you
- 5:13Speaker 2: were involved in that, you need strung up in the
- 5:16Speaker 2: public square.
- 5:17Speaker 4: Right.
- 5:18Speaker 2: I think it would be really cheap.
- 5:19Speaker 3: To handle that situation because I think you'd have.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Enough people in the public to be willing to take
- 5:23Speaker 2: care of it for you.
- 5:24Speaker 1: People are mad.
- 5:26Speaker 5: They're disgusted.
- 5:27Speaker 1: But don't you agree that we have... double standard injustice,
- 5:32Speaker 1: that basically these people are going to get away with it.
- 5:35Speaker 1: And I mean, when Trump said, oh, you're talking about
- 5:37Speaker 1: that old story, it was like, what the hell? You
- 5:39Speaker 1: reversed yourself. Are you kidding me?
- 5:42Speaker 3: That was extremely annoying.
- 5:45Speaker 2: I was very.
- 5:45Speaker 3: Upset over that because he downplayed it, but he definitely,
- 5:49Speaker 3: definitely made it.
- 5:51Speaker 2: A talking point for his campaign.
- 5:53Speaker 1: Right, and G2 said to me the day after that
- 5:55Speaker 1: happened on the air, he said to me he lost
- 5:57Speaker 1: a lot of supporters because of that. Because that's one
- 6:01Speaker 1: of the key things that people voted for him for
- 6:03Speaker 1: was the deep state, and now he's becoming a part
- 6:06Speaker 1: of it.
- 6:09Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I mean, you've got to know.
- 6:13Speaker 2: And then you've got to think about the judges, right,
- 6:15Speaker 2: that are involved that would be prosecuting these cases. I mean,
- 6:18Speaker 2: how much?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Well, that alone bothers me. Like I said to you before,
- 6:24Speaker 1: don't you think I should be able to go into
- 6:25Speaker 1: a judge, front of a judge? It shouldn't matter if
- 6:27Speaker 1: you're a Democrat or Republican. I always grew up thinking
- 6:30Speaker 1: a judge is a judge. He's going to hear the
- 6:32Speaker 1: facts and make a decision based on it. Now I'm
- 6:34Speaker 1: at a point where everything's political and it's like you
- 6:37Speaker 1: look at what happened with Trump because, oh, I'm going
- 6:40Speaker 1: to run for prosecutor. I'm going to get Trump and
- 6:42Speaker 1: these Democrat judges that want to get Trump. Well, that
- 6:45Speaker 1: isn't justice. That's just a political witch hunt. They're destroying
- 6:49Speaker 1: the judicial system. We're going to put the best and
- 6:52Speaker 1: brightest brains on a Supreme Court to make these decisions.
- 6:55Speaker 1: And then you look at who Biden appointed and she's
- 6:58Speaker 1: just a dangling. I mean, so you're just it's becoming
- 7:02Speaker 1: pop pop. politics and you're losing faith in so many
- 7:06Speaker 1: of these systems that it's just ridiculous. You're not seeing
- 7:09Speaker 1: justice for the victims of Epstein. You're seeing politics on
- 7:13Speaker 1: a Supreme Court. You're seeing politics on federal courts. You're
- 7:16Speaker 1: seeing a lot of ridiculous stuff going on.
- 7:19Speaker 3: Well, you don't want people to feel like you might
- 7:22Speaker 3: as well not even vote because it doesn't matter.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Well, it does matter. There's a big difference between Vivek
- 7:27Speaker 1: and Amy Acton. I mean, there's still a big difference. Yes,
- 7:32Speaker 1: you do want to vote. It does make a difference.
- 7:35Speaker 1: And even the parts I'm critical of Trump with, I
- 7:39Speaker 1: would vote for him over Biden again tomorrow. I'd vote
- 7:43Speaker 1: for him over Kamala Harris again tomorrow. I would vote
- 7:45Speaker 1: for him over Gavin Newsom again tomorrow. I would vote
- 7:48Speaker 1: for J.D.
- 7:49Speaker 4: Vance.
- 7:49Speaker 1: I would vote for— I think Ron DeSantis is outstanding. I
- 7:54Speaker 1: wish he could be governor of Florida forever. I would
- 7:57Speaker 1: vote for DeSantis. I'd vote for— J.D. Vance. There's a
- 8:02Speaker 1: lot of people I think have potential.
- 8:04Speaker 2: And I think that's where it goes back to. You
- 8:07Speaker 2: are voting for the worst of the candidates. And so
- 8:10Speaker 2: when you look at Trump, no matter his flaws, the
- 8:13Speaker 2: other option... You couldn't stand her worse.
- 8:17Speaker 1: Well, I agree with a lot of what..
- 8:18Speaker 3: All of it with that. And that was my point.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I agree with a lot of what the Republicans do
- 8:24Speaker 1: outside of that.
- 8:25Speaker 7: Right.
- 8:25Speaker 1: But I also, at the same time, get upset with
- 8:27Speaker 1: the Republicans. They're like status quo. It's like, get off
- 8:30Speaker 1: your butt and put this stuff in the law, these
- 8:32Speaker 1: executive orders. It's like, you know, if he gets out
- 8:37Speaker 1: and a Democrat takes over, they're going to reverse all
- 8:39Speaker 1: this stuff, for crying out loud.
- 8:40Speaker 2: Everything is going to get reversed.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Right.
- 8:42Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm not happy with the... I'm not happy with
- 8:45Speaker 2: the Senate at all.
- 8:47Speaker 1: All right. My therapy session is done. Thank you, doctor.
- 8:50Speaker 3: Bye-bye.
- 8:53Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 8:55Speaker 6: I don't know how I could go on. Boss lady
- 8:57Speaker 6: ain't happy. What are we going to do, Ronnie?
- 9:01Speaker 1: Listen here, troublemaker. I was this close to a nervous breakdown.
- 9:06Speaker 4: Now I'm better. Yeah, I knew that.
- 9:09Speaker 6: Hey, she made some good points. Did I make any?
- 9:14Speaker 1: She made some. Did I make any?
- 9:16Speaker 6: Yeah, we're going to go over that. We're going to
- 9:18Speaker 6: have a report. Don't you worry. But, yeah, like if
- 9:23Speaker 6: you've got a.
- 9:23Speaker 5: Good mechanic, you know, you go to him to fix
- 9:28Speaker 5: your car, but you're not going to have him cook
- 9:31Speaker 5: you a meal, you know. Some people are good at
- 9:35Speaker 5: solving problems. political problems and government stuff, but, you know,
- 9:41Speaker 5: other things go on, too. And as far as Epstein,
- 9:46Speaker 5: I think you said he didn't commit suicide?
- 9:48Speaker 4: I don't.
- 9:50Speaker 6: He's with Michael Jackson. They're down at the island somewhere.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I'll tell you this much. In all reality, I never
- 9:58Speaker 1: bought any of that crap about Michael Jackson.
- 10:01Speaker 4: At all.
- 10:02Speaker 1: I think to this day, I think that was all
- 10:05Speaker 1: a bunch of damn nonsense. But I believe everything when
- 10:09Speaker 1: it comes to Epstein. I'm just the opposite.
- 10:14Speaker 5: But look how they came after Kavanaugh. You know, like
- 10:17Speaker 5: some lady that didn't even know him. And 20 years later,
- 10:23Speaker 5: they came after Trump in the dressing room. Do you
- 10:27Speaker 5: really think Trump would would be stupid enough to do
- 10:31Speaker 5: that or even just put himself in any position where
- 10:36Speaker 5: he would be, you know, going to the island and
- 10:40Speaker 5: doing anything bad?
- 10:42Speaker 1: No, I think that it's ridiculous. I don't think Trump
- 10:46Speaker 1: did that bit in the dressing room. I said a
- 10:48Speaker 1: million times. She wants to claim that he sexually assaulted
- 10:51Speaker 1: her in a department store dressing room, and she never
- 10:55Speaker 1: called the cops. She never screamed. She never come running
- 10:57Speaker 1: out of there. I think it's total, absolute BS. I
- 11:03Speaker 1: think it's complete nonsense. And how she won that, it
- 11:07Speaker 1: was just, he said, she said, I think it was
- 11:10Speaker 1: absolute insanity.
- 11:12Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 11:13Speaker 6: And even like the whole Epstein thing.
- 11:16Speaker 1: I mean, like in your case, have you ever had
- 11:20Speaker 1: another man accuse you of any type of sexual activity
- 11:24Speaker 1: in your case?
- 11:27Speaker 6: Well, I'm not attracted to men as you are, Ron.
- 11:30Speaker 4: Come on.
- 11:31Speaker 5: Come on.
- 11:31Speaker 1: It was a trick question.
- 11:34Speaker 4: Come on.
- 11:36Speaker 5: Don't make me bring out that porn account of yours. Hey,
- 11:42Speaker 5: I found out why the gas prices are so high, though.
- 11:47Speaker 4: The oil and that. Yes.
- 11:49Speaker 5: I was listening to the radio, and I don't really
- 11:53Speaker 5: go along with this guy's view, but Apparently, it's because
- 11:56Speaker 5: of the Zionist Jews.
- 12:00Speaker 1: I get so tired of him and that stuff. That's
- 12:02Speaker 1: why I said enough of it already. Enough of it already.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Jesus.
- 12:08Speaker 1: I know.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:10Speaker 5: Hey, but the boss lady, I think I told you before,
- 12:16Speaker 5: there should be... Like, just back in the old days,
- 12:19Speaker 5: the stockades in the public square, where people are humiliated,
- 12:24Speaker 5: not just online, but they're sitting there in a stockade
- 12:27Speaker 5: with their arms up, and people are throwing tomatoes at them.
- 12:31Speaker 5: If they broke the law, if you thought about breaking
- 12:35Speaker 5: the law, and that was the punishment, do you think
- 12:38Speaker 5: you would think twice instead of, you know, just getting, like,
- 12:42Speaker 5: bail and going free?
- 12:44Speaker 1: You're talking about, you mean public humiliation, kind of like
- 12:48Speaker 1: what I go through every day.
- 12:50Speaker 6: Yes, absolutely.
- 12:52Speaker 5: But, no, like a stockade. You know, do you think
- 12:55Speaker 5: people would commit crimes if they knew they were going
- 12:58Speaker 5: to be in, you know, like in the mall maybe
- 13:00Speaker 5: would be the, you know, public square now?
- 13:03Speaker 1: I don't think people will commit crimes. If you look
- 13:07Speaker 1: down the road and there's some state troopers sitting there,
- 13:09Speaker 1: are you going to speed?
- 13:13Speaker 5: It depends how fast my car is.
- 13:15Speaker 1: Okay, but the answer is no, because you don't want
- 13:19Speaker 1: to get a ticket. So, I mean, I think police
- 13:23Speaker 1: and punishment are deterrents. And like when you look at...
- 13:32Speaker 1: When they said, oh, we're not going to do much
- 13:33Speaker 1: if it's under $ 1, 000 and people shoplift. Well, what did
- 13:37Speaker 1: that do? That increased shoplifting. Or you got these stores
- 13:40Speaker 1: that didn't chase shoplifters out the door when they're carrying
- 13:43Speaker 1: a DeWalt saw and this kind of stuff.
- 13:46Speaker 5: And now the stores in that neighborhood are closing and
- 13:51Speaker 5: people are complaining. So Mondami is going to give them
- 13:54Speaker 5: free groceries.
- 13:56Speaker 6: It's just an upside-down world.
- 13:59Speaker 1: How about what Ted the Conservative said the other day
- 14:03Speaker 1: when he was standing at a checkout and he said
- 14:07Speaker 1: he was watching with his own eyes as a woman
- 14:09Speaker 1: scanned every other item and was basically stealing. And you're saying, well,
- 14:15Speaker 1: there should be people watching these video cameras as she's
- 14:18Speaker 1: doing it. That's one of the problems with self-checkouts is
- 14:21Speaker 1: you got people trying to just take advantage of it.
- 14:26Speaker 1: And that's wrong.
- 14:28Speaker 5: Now that you said that, I saw a thing online
- 14:32Speaker 5: about how if you do the self-checkout and you don't
- 14:37Speaker 5: check your receipt, some lady went to, I think it
- 14:41Speaker 5: was Target, it could be any store, and she paid
- 14:45Speaker 5: for all her stuff. And it turns out that the
- 14:48Speaker 5: people that had the checkout right before had it set
- 14:52Speaker 5: up so she would pay.
- 14:54Speaker 6: For like half of their stuff. You know, it just
- 14:57Speaker 6: went on her charge card. They figured it out. So
- 15:00Speaker 6: you got to, if you go to the cell checkout,
- 15:02Speaker 6: you got to check your receipt.
- 15:05Speaker 4: All right.
- 15:05Speaker 1: Is there anything else?
- 15:07Speaker 6: Well, I'd like to talk about AI.
- 15:10Speaker 4: All right.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Stand by. I want to hear it. I'll be back.
- 15:15Speaker 1: All right. The unknown caller wants to talk about AI. Hello.
- 15:20Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:21Speaker 5: The whole thing with the AI, you know, obviously they
- 15:23Speaker 5: need a lot of electricity, but they, the fact that
- 15:26Speaker 5: they need a lot of water, why can't they make,
- 15:30Speaker 5: you know, they're heating up the water to cool the
- 15:33Speaker 5: AI thing down. Why can't they heat it up a
- 15:36Speaker 5: little bit more to drive electric turbines and create their
- 15:41Speaker 5: own electricity? It just seems like it would work, but
- 15:45Speaker 5: I'm no scientist. Have you any thoughts, Ron?
- 15:50Speaker 1: My initial thought is you are no scientist.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Yes, sir.
- 15:54Speaker 6: Well, that's what everybody says. They usually call me doctor.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Yes, they usually call me Einstein at home.
- 16:03Speaker 6: But, I mean, if they're heating up the water anyhow.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know the answer. It takes
- 16:09Speaker 1: a lot of power. So they're talking about small nukes
- 16:13Speaker 1: or they're talking about their separate type gas-fired plants. I
- 16:19Speaker 1: don't know. Enough about how hot the water is or
- 16:23Speaker 1: any of the stuff that you're proposing on Known Caller.
- 16:27Speaker 1: You're beyond my capabilities.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I look to you for guidance, as all your callers do.
- 16:34Speaker 1: I know you do. I mean, I'm your fearless leader.
- 16:36Speaker 1: I understand. As we rule over the kingdom of Mahoning.
- 16:40Speaker 1: What's that?
- 16:41Speaker 4: My review?
- 16:42Speaker 5: My review for tonight's talking points?
- 16:46Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Ron, I don't know, maybe a 4 or 5. He
- 16:50Speaker 6: couldn't answer my questions.
- 16:51Speaker 4: Yes.
- 16:53Speaker 1: And the unknown caller gets a 10 once again, as always.
- 16:57Speaker 4: I got to go. I know.
- 16:58Speaker 1: He always has to go. You're on the air.
- 17:00Speaker 4: Good afternoon, sir.
- 17:03Speaker 1: It's Rich, the pharmacist.
- 17:06Speaker 9: Hi.
- 17:07Speaker 4: I think Iran is a quagmire, and it's becoming more
- 17:11Speaker 4: quagmire-ish as it goes along. Explain, please. We're not going
- 17:14Speaker 4: to extricate ourselves. Well, now you've got, I think the
- 17:18Speaker 4: president of Iran, I just read, resigned because he wasn't
- 17:21Speaker 4: being involved in the discussions with the Revolutionary Guard. That's
- 17:25Speaker 4: who's calling the shots.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Well, who's the president of Iran? I don't even know.
- 17:29Speaker 4: The president of Iran, basically you've got the military that,
- 17:33Speaker 4: is calling all the shots and you got the people
- 17:35Speaker 4: that are trying to run the government the president of
- 17:37Speaker 4: iran was in the one of the people is trying
- 17:38Speaker 4: to run the government and the problem is that you
- 17:42Speaker 4: you know the the military people were looking don't want
- 17:44Speaker 4: to make any concessions all they think they're winning this
- 17:47Speaker 4: war hysterical but uh... so the uh... so he we
- 17:52Speaker 4: just resigned because he was involved in decision-making that's the
- 17:56Speaker 4: problem i think i was trying to negotiate with people
- 17:58Speaker 4: that are trying to run a government Because you're not
- 18:02Speaker 4: going to negotiate with the people running the military. They'll
- 18:04Speaker 4: go down in flames. They'll turn to the kamikaze type stuff,
- 18:09Speaker 4: you know. It's like going back to Japan and Germany.
- 18:13Speaker 4: You were never going to negotiate with Nazis and with
- 18:16Speaker 4: the militarists in Japan to end the war. They just
- 18:19Speaker 4: weren't going to do it. And these people aren't going
- 18:21Speaker 4: to end the war. Maybe if you bomb them back
- 18:23Speaker 4: to the Stone Age. I don't know. I don't see
- 18:26Speaker 4: an easy way to get out of this at this point.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I just don't. And Trump keeps saying they're going to
- 18:30Speaker 4: make a deal. They're not going to make any deal.
- 18:32Speaker 1: Well, he's been saying that for how long now? And
- 18:35Speaker 1: what's the definition of insanity? They say doing the same
- 18:37Speaker 1: thing again, expecting different results. Well, we already bombed a
- 18:40Speaker 1: living hell out of them. Not the bunker buster, which
- 18:43Speaker 1: seemed to me the bunker buster is effective. But then
- 18:46Speaker 1: we bombed a living hell out of them again. And, okay,
- 18:50Speaker 1: what makes you think if you do it another time
- 18:52Speaker 1: it's going to change anything?
- 18:53Speaker 4: You've taken out a lot of their military capacity. You've
- 18:56Speaker 4: taken out a lot of their military production. But you
- 19:00Speaker 4: haven't hit things that would hurt the people. If you remember,
- 19:04Speaker 4: I think it was– I think Kuwait and actually Israel
- 19:08Speaker 4: started hitting the energy infrastructure. Iran, if you took out
- 19:13Speaker 4: a couple of dams and a couple of– refineries, they
- 19:18Speaker 4: have to import gasoline. They don't have enough domestic production
- 19:21Speaker 4: for gas.
- 19:22Speaker 1: What do you think? Stand by. Hold that thought. Back
- 19:25Speaker 1: with Rich, a pharmacist, and more. Ron Ferb with you
- 19:27Speaker 1: until 6 tonight from the Kingdom of Honing. NewsRadio 570.
- 19:31Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570. WKV. All right. Let's go back to Rich,
- 19:38Speaker 1: the pharmacist.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Are you there?
- 19:39Speaker 8: No, that's me.
- 19:41Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Are you there?
- 19:44Speaker 4: Ron, you got me.
- 19:45Speaker 1: Okay, go ahead.
- 19:47Speaker 4: No, I just don't think there's an easy way out.
- 19:49Speaker 4: I think you could go back and try and start
- 19:51Speaker 4: hitting things that would really put a hurt on the people,
- 19:54Speaker 4: hoping that they would then uprise and overthrow the government.
- 19:56Speaker 4: But the government has the rifles, and the people don't.
- 20:01Speaker 1: And what makes you think the majority would want to
- 20:02Speaker 1: do that?
- 20:05Speaker 4: Oh, they do. There's not a doubt in my mind
- 20:07Speaker 4: that the majority of these people would love to get
- 20:09Speaker 4: rid of these religious nutjobs that are running the country.
- 20:12Speaker 1: I don't know. Most of the.
- 20:14Speaker 4: Polling has shown that for years.
- 20:16Speaker 1: I don't believe that at all. I really don't. I
- 20:20Speaker 1: don't know.
- 20:21Speaker 4: If you start researching it, you will. The average Iranian
- 20:24Speaker 4: has been decimated by this government. They're in the poorhouse.
- 20:29Speaker 4: I mean, if you think we have inflation, it's in
- 20:32Speaker 4: the thousands of a percent over there. I mean, those
- 20:36Speaker 4: people have lost everything the last 20 or 30 years.
- 20:40Speaker 4: So the average Iranian would love to see this all
- 20:43Speaker 4: come to an end and go back to being normal again.
- 20:45Speaker 1: I don't know. I go back to my initial thing
- 20:47Speaker 1: that I once said to you. I don't assume they
- 20:49Speaker 1: think like you think. It's a whole different world, part
- 20:52Speaker 1: of the world. It's a whole different culture. It's a
- 20:54Speaker 1: whole different religion. It's a whole different mentality. And I
- 20:57Speaker 1: just think that, too, I think we like to think
- 20:59Speaker 1: that they think like we do. Well, I'm sure there's
- 21:02Speaker 1: a portion of people that probably think like that. But
- 21:04Speaker 1: what is that percentage? I don't know. Could it be
- 21:07Speaker 1: 10 percent? Could it be 50 percent? Could it be
- 21:10Speaker 1: 20 percent?
- 21:12Speaker 4: It's hard to say. When you barely have enough money
- 21:14Speaker 4: to eat, most people are going to want change. And
- 21:17Speaker 4: that's where they're at over there. The average Iranian is
- 21:20Speaker 4: struggling just to survive, just to have enough calories to
- 21:23Speaker 4: put in his body so they don't begin starvation. It's bad.
- 21:28Speaker 4: We don't realize how good we have it until you
- 21:30Speaker 4: start looking around.
- 21:32Speaker 1: I'm not comparing it. This is a whole different world.
- 21:34Speaker 1: If you think that.
- 21:37Speaker 4: I would say 8 out of 10 people would love
- 21:39Speaker 4: to just start anew. Get rid of these people and
- 21:42Speaker 4: just have a normal government.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I mean, does any of this surprise you that it's
- 21:45Speaker 1: a mess? I mean, I don't know how to address
- 21:48Speaker 1: this other than to say none of this surprises me.
- 21:51Speaker 1: And I'm sorry, you've got to lay this right at
- 21:54Speaker 1: the foot of Trump. And whether he was influenced by
- 21:57Speaker 1: Netanyahu or Israel, it starts with Trump, and he made
- 22:00Speaker 1: this decision. And he was against regime change and getting
- 22:04Speaker 1: involved in the Middle East, and it is a true mess.
- 22:07Speaker 1: And it's an absolute mess. And if you listen to
- 22:10Speaker 1: that Art Berman and that kind of stuff, they're telling
- 22:13Speaker 1: you that you will never see it like it used
- 22:17Speaker 1: to be. And now I'm not an oil expert. These
- 22:19Speaker 1: guys are as far as the finances of things. And
- 22:22Speaker 1: they say what he has done is going to have
- 22:25Speaker 1: effects for years and years and years on the entire
- 22:31Speaker 1: oil industry and what you pay.
- 22:35Speaker 4: Well, the market always wins in the end when it
- 22:38Speaker 4: comes to oil. So if there's money to be made
- 22:42Speaker 4: producing oil, the market will win. It may not be
- 22:46Speaker 4: the same, but the market will figure it out, and
- 22:49Speaker 4: they will get supply to the people at the price
- 22:51Speaker 4: that it needs to be sold at. Right now, this
- 22:54Speaker 4: is sort of, I think, who was it, Yogi Bear?
- 22:56Speaker 4: I think he said it's like deja vu all over again.
- 22:58Speaker 4: It's starting to remind me a lot of 2003 and
- 22:59Speaker 4: George Bush. Where winning the war was the easy part.
- 23:04Speaker 4: We went in and kicked the crap out of the
- 23:06Speaker 4: Iraqi army. You know, that was easy. It was winning
- 23:09Speaker 4: the peace that took them, you know, the next five, six,
- 23:11Speaker 4: eight years. Until we finally just basically said, kind of
- 23:15Speaker 4: got it a little bit under control, turned it over
- 23:17Speaker 4: to what an Iraqi puppet government we installed, and then
- 23:20Speaker 4: we got the heck out of there. And was it,
- 23:22Speaker 4: you know, at that point, was it worth all the,
- 23:24Speaker 4: I mean, thousands of lives lost there? This, thankfully, so far,
- 23:29Speaker 4: has been relatively bloodless. I mean, we think we've lost 14,
- 23:32Speaker 4: 15 guys, something like that, which is still tragic. I mean,
- 23:36Speaker 4: especially if it's your kid, I couldn't imagine. But thus far,
- 23:39Speaker 4: you know, from a personnel standpoint, it really hasn't been
- 23:42Speaker 4: that significant loss-wise. But winning this piece is going to
- 23:46Speaker 4: be a lot more difficult, I think. It's a nuclear bomb,
- 23:48Speaker 4: and as a smaller regional power, it was worth it.
- 23:53Speaker 4: If this drags on two or three.
- 23:54Speaker 1: Years, it's not going to be worth it. Well, we'll see.
- 23:59Speaker 1: I don't think this is worth it at all. I
- 24:02Speaker 1: really don't. And I hope I'm wrong. I think this
- 24:05Speaker 1: is a major mistake. I think we're all going to
- 24:07Speaker 1: pay dearly for it financially for quite some time. I
- 24:11Speaker 1: don't think it's going to be anywhere close to what
- 24:13Speaker 1: they're saying to you.
- 24:15Speaker 4: I think gas is headed higher. I think gas after
- 24:20Speaker 4: 4th of July is going to be substantially more expensive.
- 24:22Speaker 4: You're probably looking at $ 6 a gallon.
- 24:25Speaker 1: Well, what do you think that's going to do to
- 24:26Speaker 1: the economy? As I've said, what do you think is
- 24:30Speaker 1: going to happen? I don't know. I just, like I said,
- 24:33Speaker 1: I just look at those oil experts. I don't know
- 24:35Speaker 1: the oil business. They do. They're not running BP. They're
- 24:38Speaker 1: the analysts from afar. And two of the four that
- 24:42Speaker 1: I've read, the top four, all say that this was
- 24:45Speaker 1: a huge mistake, a giant mess, and it's just going
- 24:49Speaker 1: to create problems for years and decades to come. And basically,
- 24:55Speaker 1: they're saying things will never go back to how they were.
- 24:57Speaker 1: If you think they are, then you're fooling yourself and
- 24:59Speaker 1: you're not going to see $ 90 barrels of oil. And I,
- 25:04Speaker 1: I don't know. I hope they're wrong, but right now,
- 25:07Speaker 1: you know, they basically say there's an oil shortage going on.
- 25:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 25:12Speaker 1: People are totally oblivious to it. So much oil is
- 25:17Speaker 1: off out of the, out of the oil stream and
- 25:20Speaker 1: it will affect the United States. They, they seem to say,
- 25:24Speaker 1: people seem to think it's not going to affect us.
- 25:26Speaker 1: And they said, well, you're, You're absolutely wrong. It's going
- 25:30Speaker 1: to affect you as far as the cost of gas.
- 25:33Speaker 4: This is simple economics 101. It's supply and demand. We
- 25:37Speaker 4: took a lot of supply off the market. One out
- 25:40Speaker 4: of every five barrels produced in the world.
- 25:42Speaker 1: Well, you tell the people, though, if they're paying five
- 25:44Speaker 1: or six bucks a gallon, and some of these people
- 25:46Speaker 1: are saying you could see 6% inflation in the second quarter,
- 25:50Speaker 1: you go convince them how this was worth it. You
- 25:53Speaker 1: go against everybody. This was worth it because I wasn't
- 25:56Speaker 1: staying up at night worrying about Iran and a nuclear threat.
- 26:00Speaker 1: I think the bunker buster was effective, quite frankly. I
- 26:03Speaker 1: think this was just a, well, I just think this
- 26:07Speaker 1: was a mistake. I think he was influenced by the
- 26:10Speaker 1: wrong people.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Well, one of the reasons I really wanted a call, though,
- 26:14Speaker 4: was I think I figured out the whole Eastgate, or
- 26:18Speaker 4: not Eastgate, Eastern Gateway building issue. Because I went down
- 26:23Speaker 4: today at the Eastgate Council of Governments had a big
- 26:26Speaker 4: meeting today, and Trevina, the director of the Port Authority,
- 26:29Speaker 4: was there. And he was the lead presenter, and he
- 26:33Speaker 4: was talking about how they got the Eastern, how the
- 26:36Speaker 4: Port Authority ended up with the Eastern Gateway Building. And
- 26:39Speaker 4: the state gave it to them for a dollar. And
- 26:43Speaker 4: he said, that sounds like a good deal, but it's
- 26:45Speaker 4: costing us dearly. They're spending, I think it was either
- 26:47Speaker 4: $ 20, 000 or $ 25, 000 a month just in utilities on that building.
- 26:52Speaker 4: So my theory is they got something. They were given
- 26:56Speaker 4: something by the state who was probably glad to get
- 26:58Speaker 4: rid of it. They took it. Kind of have a
- 27:00Speaker 4: little bit of buyer's remorse since they're paying $ 25, 000 a
- 27:03Speaker 4: month to run the utilities. And then along comes, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 4: Gino and the county, and they're like, hey, we'll do it.
- 27:09Speaker 4: So I think, you know, they kind of gave it
- 27:11Speaker 4: to those suckers to get off their hands so they
- 27:14Speaker 4: can wreck it and be rid of it. That's my theory.
- 27:18Speaker 1: That makes perfect sense to me. I was watching a
- 27:20Speaker 1: video once of– and it was in– I thought it
- 27:23Speaker 1: was in Pittsburgh where there was some of these big
- 27:26Speaker 1: office buildings. And they were talking to one of the
- 27:28Speaker 1: big developers in Pittsburgh, okay, I mean, that has these buildings.
- 27:33Speaker 1: And there was one of the bank buildings down there
- 27:35Speaker 1: that was going to be vacant, the whole building. The
- 27:39Speaker 1: bank was getting out of it. And they asked him
- 27:43Speaker 1: about if they would give you this building, would you
- 27:46Speaker 1: take it? And he said, absolutely not. And you thought, well,
- 27:51Speaker 1: it's a nice-looking building. Why is that? He said, well,
- 27:53Speaker 1: first of all, if you've got to get tenants in
- 27:55Speaker 1: a building that big, you've got to heat everything. You've
- 28:00Speaker 1: got to cool everything. You've got maintenance on it that
- 28:02Speaker 1: whole time. And if you're able to get the building rented,
- 28:08Speaker 1: a building that big, he said, in the first place.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And then what was the other reason that he was– Oh,
- 28:15Speaker 1: and if you can't do that and you're responsible for
- 28:18Speaker 1: taking it down, the cost in that is phenomenal.
- 28:21Speaker 4: Oh, I think the budget I've heard for tearing down
- 28:25Speaker 4: that Eastern Gateway building is around $ 3. 5 million. That's just
- 28:30Speaker 4: to tear down a building before you start building the
- 28:33Speaker 4: $ 60 million-plus new one.
- 28:35Speaker 1: Yeah, because I don't know if there's asbestos in that
- 28:37Speaker 1: or not. I would think based on its age.
- 28:41Speaker 4: From what I've heard, there's something about pre-stressed concrete beams
- 28:44Speaker 4: that if you start to demolish them, they kind of
- 28:47Speaker 4: explode outward. And that building supposedly has a lot of
- 28:52Speaker 4: pre-stressed concrete in it. And that the beams are actually failing.
- 28:55Speaker 4: That's why they have to take it down, because the
- 28:57Speaker 4: beams have started to sag or fail or whatever.
- 29:00Speaker 1: The sad part about the whole damn thing is that
- 29:02Speaker 1: the taxpayers, you get on the hook with the cost
- 29:05Speaker 1: of this building. And everything goes over what the projections are.
- 29:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry, demolition and the building. These projections are never accurate.
- 29:13Speaker 1: It's always cost more. And you're on the hook for
- 29:16Speaker 1: it in the bonds, and you've had absolutely no say-so
- 29:19Speaker 1: on it. Zero say-so on it.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Well, even the people that have say-so, though. WRTA, I
- 29:24Speaker 4: found out, I think they have 47 of the big buses.
- 29:28Speaker 4: They're going to replace every single one of them with
- 29:30Speaker 4: an electric bus. An electric bus costs $ 1. 4 million. A
- 29:35Speaker 4: gas bus is about $ 800, 000. Right. And I can.
- 29:37Speaker 1: Tell you why. Once again, they got so much money
- 29:41Speaker 1: coming in, they don't know what to do with it
- 29:43Speaker 1: every year.
- 29:44Speaker 4: And everything's a grant. All these buses are federal grants.
- 29:48Speaker 4: The charging infrastructure, I think they're putting like $ 1. 5 million into, say,
- 29:51Speaker 4: a They have plugs to plug the buses in.
- 29:56Speaker 1: If we're bitching about AI and the problem with energy
- 29:59Speaker 1: and electricity, well, why would you think the answer is
- 30:03Speaker 1: to get more stuff to plug into the grid? I mean,
- 30:06Speaker 1: where's the thinking here?
- 30:08Speaker 4: Well, that's another thing. They got a $ 2 million grant
- 30:11Speaker 4: to put solar panels on the roofs down there so
- 30:13Speaker 4: they can help charge the buses. But what nobody realizes
- 30:20Speaker 4: when you look at all these grants.
- 30:21Speaker 1: $ 10 million a year in a quarter percent sales tax
- 30:25Speaker 1: for WRTA every year. And it could be more than
- 30:28Speaker 1: that as prices go up. So they're sitting every year
- 30:31Speaker 1: with this money coming in. What do we do with
- 30:34Speaker 1: all of this? I mean, seriously, their biggest problem is
- 30:37Speaker 1: let's add on to the garage. Let's replace all the
- 30:41Speaker 1: buses with electric buses, which is stupid. and let's plug
- 30:45Speaker 1: them into the grid or use solar panels. You tell me.
- 30:51Speaker 4: But it's all federal. All of this stuff is done
- 30:54Speaker 4: by federal money. The Port Authority just built this thing.
- 30:57Speaker 4: If you look at it from the air, it looks
- 30:59Speaker 4: like a C-130. It's a giant park. I guess they
- 31:02Speaker 4: worry about the approaches to the airport, so they have
- 31:04Speaker 4: to make sure that there's no trees or anything grow tall.
- 31:08Speaker 4: So it looks like a field that was farmed. I
- 31:11Speaker 4: could be wrong, but it looks like a farmer had
- 31:14Speaker 4: a field and something like that. Instead, they get some grant.
- 31:17Speaker 4: They build a park with walking trails because we need
- 31:20Speaker 4: more walking trails in this area. Apparently Mill Creek Park
- 31:23Speaker 4: and the state parks aren't enough, so they build this
- 31:25Speaker 4: brand-new park. They take the millings because they're spending $ 30 million,
- 31:31Speaker 4: all grant money except for $ 3 million local, to resurface
- 31:34Speaker 4: the runways out at the Youngstown Airport. $ 30 million. Now, granted,
- 31:40Speaker 4: that's a big economic driver in this area, so I
- 31:42Speaker 4: guess maybe it needs to be done. But it's all
- 31:45Speaker 4: our money in the end, but nobody seems to look
- 31:47Speaker 4: at that. The theory is just it's sort of like
- 31:51Speaker 4: hogs at a trough. If I'm there, I'm going to
- 31:52Speaker 4: eat as much of the food as I can because
- 31:54Speaker 4: if I don't eat it, the next pig will. But
- 31:57Speaker 4: nobody looks at basically taking the trough away. And that's
- 32:01Speaker 4: the biggest problem we have. Right.
- 32:03Speaker 1: We piss away so much money. Can you imagine... That's
- 32:06Speaker 1: why I say WRTA, all the money that they get
- 32:09Speaker 1: should be funding the county ambulance service. It shouldn't be
- 32:13Speaker 1: on every township and every community. It should be countywide
- 32:16Speaker 1: and without charging anybody any extra money coming out of
- 32:18Speaker 1: that sales tax money. If you had leadership that could say, legally,
- 32:23Speaker 1: how do we do this and how can we finagle
- 32:25Speaker 1: it into this direction? Because this is so disgusting.
- 32:31Speaker 4: If you go to a meeting like I was at
- 32:32Speaker 4: this morning, you will quickly come away with the fact
- 32:36Speaker 4: that we do not have a tax revenue problem in
- 32:41Speaker 4: this country. We have a spending problem. There's more than
- 32:44Speaker 4: enough tax money. If you look at the boondoggle stuff
- 32:47Speaker 4: that some of this is wasted on, and it's just
- 32:49Speaker 4: ridiculous stuff. Yep. I can't tell you how many bike
- 32:53Speaker 4: trails and bike lanes and bike stuff. I mean, we
- 32:56Speaker 4: live in Northeast Ohio. Yeah. From November till April, most
- 33:01Speaker 4: people are not riding a bike anywhere. Right. And it's
- 33:05Speaker 4: not like we live in a dense urban environment like
- 33:07Speaker 4: New York City or, you know, the coastal cities where
- 33:10Speaker 4: you can ride a bike and get around town. Most
- 33:12Speaker 4: of the places around here, if you're riding from your house,
- 33:14Speaker 4: you want to go shopping in Baltimore or Austin, you're
- 33:16Speaker 4: not taking a bike.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Well, why would you take the bus? It's free. We
- 33:19Speaker 1: don't even charge anymore. We've got so much money coming in.
- 33:22Speaker 4: Even with that, though, by the time you hop on
- 33:24Speaker 4: the bus, you take the bus over there, you do
- 33:26Speaker 4: your shopping, come back, your day's shot. You've probably chewed
- 33:29Speaker 4: up five or six hours of your day just taking
- 33:31Speaker 4: the stupid bus.
- 33:32Speaker 1: Well, they got the loop. But I'm glad you go
- 33:35Speaker 1: to these meetings because somebody like you goes there and
- 33:38Speaker 1: you say, this is such bull crap. It's got to
- 33:41Speaker 1: be so discouraging as a taxpayer.
- 33:44Speaker 4: And I mean, not to knock the people that are there.
- 33:46Speaker 4: I think the people that are running the organizations are
- 33:50Speaker 4: doing what they think is best and doing well. But
- 33:52Speaker 4: there's nobody looking at the overall picture. There's nobody looking
- 33:56Speaker 4: at this is all or in the end, it's all
- 33:58Speaker 4: of our money that they're spending. Whether it comes from
- 34:01Speaker 4: the federal government, the state government, or the local government. Eventually,
- 34:06Speaker 4: it was money that was taken out of my pocket
- 34:07Speaker 4: and your pocket and every other citizen that pays taxes' pocket.
- 34:11Speaker 1: Many of these private sector businesses are not really private
- 34:15Speaker 1: sector businesses. They're businesses that are functioning because of government money.
- 34:20Speaker 1: Bill Cunningham, two weeks ago, the woman was on there
- 34:23Speaker 1: talking about all the fraud with the communities as far
- 34:28Speaker 1: as what the health care or hospice care and autism
- 34:35Speaker 1: and all this kind of stuff that's going on and
- 34:37Speaker 1: all of money that was just being pilfered out of
- 34:43Speaker 1: Medicaid and those programs. I mean, it's depressing.
- 34:47Speaker 4: When I'm walking in, I'm walking past the old, because
- 34:50Speaker 4: it's in City Center 1 where Eastgate meets. I'm walking past,
- 34:54Speaker 4: I park my car, I'm walking past, there's a big
- 34:56Speaker 4: for lease sign next to the old, I think it
- 34:58Speaker 4: was the IBM building. And I'm thinking, why couldn't county
- 35:01Speaker 4: government go in there? It's an empty building. It says
- 35:04Speaker 4: for lease on it. Go knock on the door and
- 35:07Speaker 4: ask what they're charging.
- 35:09Speaker 1: Everything's got to be downtown. I was trying to figure out,
- 35:13Speaker 1: what is up with renting the... Did you read that
- 35:16Speaker 1: article about the bottom dollar in a board of elections
- 35:19Speaker 1: and it would only cost us this much to rent? Well,
- 35:23Speaker 1: why are we renting?
- 35:25Speaker 4: Well, it's the Dave Beatrice boondoggle. That's what I'd like
- 35:28Speaker 4: to refer to that as. Because for some reason, Dave
- 35:31Speaker 4: and the Democrats probably don't want to upset the voters
- 35:34Speaker 4: in the city of Youngstown, who are mostly Democrats, and
- 35:37Speaker 4: move the Board of Elections out of the city. So
- 35:40Speaker 4: they're looking at the bottom dollar. And the Port Authority
- 35:43Speaker 4: is going to buy that building, because I guess that's
- 35:45Speaker 4: what the Port Authority is. It's into the landlord business.
- 35:48Speaker 1: And the county rents it from them?
- 35:51Speaker 4: And then the county will fix it up, and the
- 35:53Speaker 4: county will rent it from them.
- 35:55Speaker 1: Well, why doesn't the county just buy it itself?
- 35:59Speaker 4: Well, probably because they probably don't have the finances, I
- 36:03Speaker 4: would assume.
- 36:04Speaker 1: I mean, so you're stuck paying rent.
- 36:06Speaker 4: Name me an easy way to get to that location.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's a horrible idea. The Patriot Building is a far
- 36:14Speaker 1: better idea.
- 36:17Speaker 4: Anyplace else is a far better idea. You couldn't be
- 36:20Speaker 4: further away from the vast majority of county residents than
- 36:24Speaker 4: you are in Fosterville, where that's at. Yep. And it's
- 36:28Speaker 4: not a great area to begin with.
- 36:29Speaker 7: Nope.
- 36:29Speaker 4: But, I mean, to take a building that's had vacant for, what, 15,
- 36:33Speaker 4: 20 years probably needs all new heavy air.
- 36:36Speaker 1: It's not 15 or 20 years. I don't think it's
- 36:38Speaker 1: been that long. But is it a good location? No,
- 36:42Speaker 1: it really isn't.
- 36:44Speaker 4: It's terrible.
- 36:44Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 36:45Speaker 4: It's terrible. But it just seems like nobody cares. Nobody
- 36:49Speaker 4: looks at the big picture. I think the Port Authority
- 36:52Speaker 4: is doing the Eastern Gateway thing because they just want
- 36:55Speaker 4: rid of the building so they don't have to pay
- 36:57Speaker 4: $ 25, 000 a month in utilities.
- 36:58Speaker 1: There you have it.
- 36:59Speaker 4: That's the take I got from it.
- 37:00Speaker 1: Hey, thanks.
- 37:01Speaker 4: And Gino and the other two numbnuts were dumb enough
- 37:03Speaker 4: to fall for it.
- 37:04Speaker 1: You got it. Back in a minute. Thank you, Rich.
- 37:06Speaker 1: Your pharmacist, Ron Verb, till 6. Rockport Show at 6.
- 37:09Speaker 1: Towns News, Weather, and Talk Station, 570 WKBN. All right,
- 37:25Speaker 1: you're on the air.
- 37:26Speaker 4: Hello.
- 37:27Speaker 5: You're Matt Lauer.
- 37:29Speaker 1: You're on the air.
- 37:29Speaker 4: Hello.
- 37:30Speaker 8: Didn't you want to talk to me today?
- 37:33Speaker 1: Sure, I want to talk to you.
- 37:35Speaker 8: That last call lasted about 40 minutes.
- 37:37Speaker 4: My God.
- 37:40Speaker 8: What did you say they called you at home? Einstein.
- 37:42Speaker 1: Yes.
- 37:44Speaker 8: Not Igor?
- 37:47Speaker 1: No, it was Einstein. Whenever I put something together, my
- 37:49Speaker 1: wife says, good going, Einstein.
- 37:55Speaker 8: And you don't catch on to that humor, do you?
- 37:57Speaker 1: No, I thought it was a compliment, actually. I was
- 38:02Speaker 1: a little bit shocked that apparently it isn't. I mean,
- 38:08Speaker 1: I said, well, thanks. I just assumed. But apparently, I see.
- 38:14Speaker 8: I'm sorry, I don't mean to laugh.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I know, but I mean, maybe you could have clued
- 38:19Speaker 1: me in on it earlier before.
- 38:20Speaker 4: You know, I..
- 38:23Speaker 8: I thought maybe Frankenstein or Igor would have fit, but,
- 38:27Speaker 8: you know, with her facetiousness, she's a gem.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Is that what she is, huh? What's on your mind,
- 38:39Speaker 1: my friends?
- 38:40Speaker 8: Okay, I got three things to say today, and I'll
- 38:43Speaker 8: let you go. I got about two minutes at the most.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Yeah, go ahead.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Okay.
- 38:50Speaker 8: Guess whose name is coming off of the Kennedy Center?
- 38:53Speaker 1: Trump, and I'm glad it is.
- 38:55Speaker 8: Thank God in heaven Jesus saved us. And she blocks
- 39:01Speaker 8: payouts from Trump's $ 1. 7 billion allies fund. You know that's
- 39:06Speaker 8: been blocked. Our little conversation Friday.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Are you still there?
- 39:11Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm glad that they said, I was never for
- 39:15Speaker 1: the Kennedy Trump Center fund. His name doesn't belong on there,
- 39:19Speaker 1: and I'm glad it's coming up.
- 39:21Speaker 8: I'm talking about this payout. The $ 1. 7 billion payout has
- 39:25Speaker 8: been put on hold by judges. And his tax fiasco
- 39:32Speaker 8: that he's trying to create, that's also been put on hold.
- 39:35Speaker 8: That was our conversation on Friday, and I said I
- 39:38Speaker 8: was going to do a little digging. Well, I did
- 39:40Speaker 8: a little digging, and I even had it on your
- 39:42Speaker 8: newscast if you were listening to it.
- 39:47Speaker 1: You're talking about the IRS settlements.
- 39:51Speaker 4: Right.
- 39:51Speaker 8: I'm talking about the settlement to the insurrectionists that wanted
- 39:58Speaker 8: their money because they were being weaponized by the government.
- 40:02Speaker 8: But guess what? Even your Republican buddies are saying, hold on, buddy.
- 40:06Speaker 4: Hold on.
- 40:07Speaker 8: We're not going to do that. So those were the
- 40:10Speaker 8: three things I wanted to bring up.
- 40:12Speaker 4: I mean... Winning, winning.
- 40:15Speaker 8: His tariffs are gone. His name's off the building. This
- 40:19Speaker 8: weaponization thing is, I don't think it's going to go through.
- 40:23Speaker 8: I hope not. And there we have it.
- 40:28Speaker 1: Well, listen, we'll see what the outcome is as far
- 40:33Speaker 1: as the... funding. Remember, as I explained to you, why
- 40:38Speaker 1: that exists. I mean, he was done an injustice by
- 40:40Speaker 1: somebody who stole his private information and published it. I
- 40:49Speaker 1: saw that. I saw that. I saw that.
- 40:52Speaker 8: Are you kidding me? Are you kidding me?
- 40:54Speaker 1: Well, I disagree with it personally. I'm mixed on it.
- 40:58Speaker 1: I totally disagree with it because I think it would
- 41:00Speaker 1: be bitching if Biden did that with his family. But
- 41:03Speaker 1: on the other hand, I'm saying, look at what they
- 41:05Speaker 1: put this man and his family through. They tried debanking
- 41:08Speaker 1: him and all this kind of stuff. And he's saying. Oh,
- 41:10Speaker 1: good God. You know what? I mean, look at what
- 41:12Speaker 1: they put them through. As a matter of fact, I
- 41:14Speaker 1: would like to talk. You call me tomorrow and I
- 41:17Speaker 1: want to get you on sooner. And I want to
- 41:19Speaker 1: talk to you a longer period of time about that subject.
- 41:24Speaker 1: And then I'm going to ask you a question because
- 41:27Speaker 1: I was saying to the boss lady, I'm totally opposed
- 41:29Speaker 1: to this having this wrestling or fighting thing at the
- 41:32Speaker 1: White House as well.
- 41:33Speaker 8: That is totally ridiculous. Who wants to put on a
- 41:38Speaker 8: fight on the front lawn of the White House? Who
- 41:40Speaker 8: wants to do that? What kind of an idiot would
- 41:44Speaker 8: put that on? I agree a thousand percent. That is
- 41:47Speaker 8: the stupidest thing ever.
- 41:50Speaker 4: Yeah. All right.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Thank you, my friend. I appreciate your call, as always.
- 41:55Speaker 1: I look forward to talking to you tomorrow. Call tomorrow,
- 41:57Speaker 1: and let's talk about that subject. Call earlier in the program,
- 42:00Speaker 1: because I would like to spend some time with you.
- 42:02Speaker 4: All right. All right.
- 42:03Speaker 1: That should be an interesting subject, actually. NewsRadio 570. We're
- 42:07Speaker 1: going to pause for the headlines at 6 o'clock. From
- 42:10Speaker 1: the Kingdom of Mahoning and in the Rockport Truth in
- 42:12Speaker 1: Investing program is coming up momentarily, so stand by for that.
- 42:22Speaker 7: From ABC News, I'm Michelle Franzen. After Iran state media
- 42:26Speaker 7: signal talks were off between the U.S. and Iran due
- 42:29Speaker 7: to ongoing Israeli strikes in Lebanon, President Trump says he
- 42:32Speaker 7: made separate calls to Israelis Prime Minister and Hezbollah mediators,
- 42:36Speaker 7: and both sides have agreed not to attack the other.
- 42:38Speaker 7: ABC's Karen Travers says the president indicated talks with Iran
- 42:42Speaker 7: are still going and moving rapidly.
- 42:44Speaker 10: We haven't heard from the Iranians anything to indicate that
- 42:46Speaker 10: things are back on. And really, even the on-off, what
- 42:50Speaker 10: is happening, the substance is still very complicated.
- 42:53Speaker 3: There are still.
- 42:54Speaker 10: Significant sticking points that have to be reworked. And the
- 42:57Speaker 10: president had sent changes back to Iran that so far
- 43:00Speaker 10: they have not addressed or weighed in on.
- 43:02Speaker 7: The Justice Department says it will abide by a Virginia
- 43:05Speaker 7: judge's ruling that temporarily ordered the $ 1. 8 billion fund to
- 43:08Speaker 7: be frozen amid litigation.
- 43:10Speaker 9: A social media post from the Justice Department says officials
- 43:13Speaker 9: strongly disagree with last week's ruling by a federal judge
- 43:16Speaker 9: in Virginia temporarily freezing the fund pending a hearing she
- 43:19Speaker 9: set for the end of next week. The department says
- 43:22Speaker 9: it will abide by that ruling.
- 43:24Speaker 1: That, as more.
- 43:24Speaker 9: Congressional Republicans express their opposition to the idea of handing
- 43:28Speaker 9: out up to $ 1. 8 billion of taxpayer money to those
- 43:31Speaker 9: who have been accused of or convicted of crimes.
- 43:33Speaker 7: ABC's Stephen Portnoy. The state of Florida announcing it's suing
- 43:37Speaker 7: OpenAI and CEO Sam Altman. The suit claiming the company
- 43:40Speaker 7: says the company knowingly released an aggressively marketed Chad GPT
- 43:44Speaker 7: to the public, including young users, while concealing serious risks.
- 43:48Speaker 7: Florida Attorney General James Uthmeyer alleges the company suppressed internal
- 43:52Speaker 7: safety warnings and deceived users about the true nature and
- 43:55Speaker 7: dangers of the product.
- 43:56Speaker 1: People are getting hurt, parents are getting deceived, and they
- 44:00Speaker 1: need to pay for it.
- 44:01Speaker 7: OpenAI tells ABC News it already has safety measures in
- 44:04Speaker 7: place to redirect people to mental health resources if it
- 44:06Speaker 7: detects them going down a dark path, adding it's committed
- 44:09Speaker 7: to getting this right. Health officials are working to trace
- 44:12Speaker 7: the Ebola outbreak in the Democratic Republic of Congo. More
- 44:15Speaker 7: than 1,000 suspected cases now exist. You're listening to ABC News.
