- James Dooley: Online reputation management for your AI resume book review. Today I'm joined with Paul Truscott and we're going to be talking about the book which is talking about ORM and managing and controlling what AI, Google and the LLMs are saying exactly about you. Paul, I want to jump straight in and throw you in the deep end and say, why is it important to control your own narrative about what LLMs are saying about you personally? Paul Truscott: It's absolutely vital, James, because at the end of the day, if you don't control it, somebody else is going to control it. Okay? Could be your competitors. It could be an angry customer. Look, you c- you can't please everybody all of the time. So, some negativity is going to creep into the net. And very often, especially if it's testimonial or review based, people are only driven to leave a, a review or testimonial when they've had a bad experience. Unfortunately, when people have had a good experience, they will often just think, "Oh, yeah, that was great." But they don't actually tell anybody. They might tell their friends, but they don't tell anyone online, which is a shame. Um, so it's important that you, A, monitor it. Make sure you understand when you Google, whether it's your personal brand or whether it's your business brand. Um, to monitor both of those to see what is being said about you, you know. And what's important now is to not just look at the first page of Google because typically in the past everyone's just going to look at the first page of Google and they're going to say, "Okay, everything's good because the first 10 links on Google, it's all, it's all good. I'm, it's just good reviews. It's just good things being said." But, and the LLMs and Google's AI, or Gemini, which is what's responsible for the AI Overviews and AI Mode, are going much, much deeper than that. You know, they're looking at pages that humans don't look at. So, you've got to look a little bit deeper, uh, um, at, and also look at the, uh, credibility of the sources. So, just try and get good, um, good reviews, good testimonials, and good coverage of you from a, you know, um, a good perspective on as many, um, high-profile sources as you can. Really, that's the key. James Dooley: Yeah, for sure. Anyone who's listening to this, the authors of the Online Reputation Management for Your AI Resume book are I, James Dooley, Scott Keever, who is the founder of Reputation Pros, which is an amazing ORM company. Kasra Dash, I'm sure a lot of people know who Kasra Dash is. He's now grown a huge event called The Masterminders in Manchester. Peter Jones, an absolute legend when it comes to reputation management for his businesses and lead generation strategies. Paul Truscott, obviously yourself there, Paul. Um, absolute legend when it comes to local SEO, Google Business Profile listings and moving more into lead generation now. Jesper Nissen, brilliant when it comes down to social media, parasite SEO. Mike Lovatt, um, an iGaming specialist but also now moving into different areas to do with LLM manipulation and domination in AI resumes. Stewart Vickers, AKA SEO Jesus, doing lots of autonomous AI agents and doing a lot when it comes to artificial intelligence. And Dan M. Jones, who's got a great business set up within Salford, within Greater Manchester. He's got an SEO agency and he's doing a lot to improve the online reputation management, not just for the businesses that he works with, but also the founders and business owners to get their personal brand being built up. So, as you can see there, there's a mix of amazing authors that we've compiled together that all have got their own chapters of the importance of online reputation management. The AI resume is so much more difficult to control in than it is, like Paul said, the 10 blue links within Google. They're starting to dig a lot deeper now with the large language models in Claude, in Perplexity, in ChatGPT, in Grok, in Gemini because of the query fan-out terms that's coming along. And in this book, everything's being spoken about with how you should be controlling your videos, your images, but also your text documentation. Paul's there, giving a few little tips away with getting yourself in those high-profile, um, citations and business listings, but also then trying to echo everywhere on the internet on those third-party corroborative sources to get your five-star testimonials, your reviews, your case studies, and sharing about any awards that you might have won. It's so important. And for anyone that wants to try to control the narrative, we strongly recommend going over to Amazon or going over to Google Play Store to go and get your copy of the Online Reputation Management for Your AI Resume book. I hope you like this podcast explaining briefly about what it is. I'm giving it a five stars because of those amazing authors that's contributing to it. Go and get your copy of the book. It's a five-star rating. It's going to be an award-winning bestseller, in my opinion. Paul, it's been an absolute pleasure.
