• 0:54
and diving into the history between the two teams battling
• 0:57
for the championship. Get ready for a touchdown of
• 1:00
information and excitement. Let's kick things off with some
• 1:14
background. the Super Bowl is the championship game of the
• 1:17
  National Football League, or NFL.
• 1:20
After months of tough games and intense playoffs, the two best
• 1:24
teams face off to decide who becomes champion.
• 1:27
Millions of people watch every year.
• 1:30
It's famous for dramatic finishes, huge halftime shows
• 1:34
and moments that fans remember for decades.
• 1:37
This year, the Super Bowl takes place today at Levi's Stadium in
• 1:41
Santa Clara, CA, home of the San Francisco 49ers.
• 1:46
The stadium holds more than 68,000 fans and feels more like
• 1:50
a giant festival than just a football game, with bright
• 1:54
  lights, music and cheering everywhere.
• 1:57
Now let's talk about the matchup.
• 1:59
The New England Patriots versus the Seattle Seahawks.
• 2:02
These two teams already share serious history.
• 2:06
Back in Super Bowl 49 in 2015, they played one of the most
• 2:10
dramatic games ever. Seattle was just one yard away
• 2:14
from scoring what looked like the winning touchdown.
• 2:17
Instead of running the ball, they threw a pass and Patriots
• 2:21
rookie Malcolm Butler intercepted it at the goal line
• 2:23
with seconds left. Game over, Patriots win.
• 2:28
It's still considered one of the craziest endings in Super Bowl
• 2:31
history, and leading the Patriots during that era was one
• 2:35
of the greatest players the sport has ever seen.
• 2:38
Tom Brady. Brady helped New England win 6
• 2:41
Super Bowls and became famous for staying calm in big moments
• 2:45
and leading comeback victories. In that classic game against
• 2:49
Seattle, he threw 4 touchdown passes and earned Super Bowl
• 2:53
MVP. Even though he's retired now,
• 2:56
his legacy still hangs over the team.
• 2:59
Every Patriots quarterback is measured against the standard he
• 3:02
set. When fans think of Patriots
• 3:04
football, they still think of Brady.
• 3:07
For Seattle, that loss still stings.
• 3:10
So this game feels like a rematch years in the making.
• 3:13
New players, but old memories. This season, both teams have
• 3:18
earned their spot the hard way. The Patriots finished the
• 3:21
regular season with thirteen wins and three losses, one of
• 3:25
the best records in the league. Their offense averaged more than
• 3:29
25 points per game, and their defense forced lots of
• 3:32
turnovers. In the playoffs, they won a
• 3:35
close divisional game by a field goal and then pulled away in the
• 3:38
conference championship with a strong second-half, scoring
• 3:42
multiple touchdowns in a row. The Seahawks were just as
• 3:45
  impressive, finishing fourteen and three.
• 3:49
Their defense ranked among the toughest in the NFL, giving up
• 3:52
very few points each week. In their last two playoff games,
• 3:57
they controlled the clock with their running game and made big
• 4:00
stops late in the fourth quarter to protect narrow leads.
• 4:04
They've shown they can win both shootouts and defensive battles.
• 4:07
So here's what makes this match up special.
• 4:10
Both teams didn't just sneak into the Super Bowl, they
• 4:13
dominated their seasons. Two of the best records in
• 4:17
football. 2 teams peaking at exactly the right time.
• 4:21
Experts say the key battle today will be Patriots offense versus
• 4:25
Seahawks defense. If New England's quarterback has
• 4:28
time to throw, they can score fast.
• 4:30
But if Seattle's defense gets pressure and forces mistakes,
• 4:34
they can completely change the game.
• 4:37
Turnovers, sacks and big third down stops could decide
• 4:40
everything. Some analysts predict a high
• 4:43
scoring game, others think it will be tight and defensive may
• 4:47
be decided in the final minutes. Either way, most people agree
• 4:51
it's too close to call, which usually means it's going to be
• 4:54
exciting. Around Santa Clara, the city has
• 4:57
been preparing for months. Streets are covered in banners
• 5:01
and lights. There are football skills
• 5:03
challenges, concerts and food festivals for families.
• 5:07
Schools are even doing Super Bowl themed activities so kids
• 5:11
can feel part of the excitement. The halftime show is also a huge
• 5:16
highlight. This year's performer is Bad
• 5:18
Bunny, one of the biggest global music stars.
• 5:22
The stage gets built right on the field in minutes, turning
• 5:25
the stadium into a massive concert watched by millions.
• 5:29
Inside Levi's Stadium, fans will find interactive exhibits,
• 5:33
football history displays and chances to meet former players.
• 5:38
Outside, giant screens let thousands of people watch
• 5:41
together and sheer like one big team.
• 5:44
Both squads worked all season to get here.
• 5:47
Early practices, tough losses, film study and constant
• 5:52
improvement. Nobody gets to the Super Bowl by
• 5:54
luck. It takes focus and effort every
• 5:58
single day. So here's the big picture. 2
• 6:01
historic franchises, a long rivalry, the legacy of legends
• 6:05
like Tom Brady, strong regular seasons, big playoff wins, and 1
• 6:10
championship on the line. The Patriots and Seahawks
• 6:13
already gave US1 unforgettable Super Bowl.
• 6:17
Now they're about to write the next chapter.
• 6:19
Whether you're cheering for New England, Seattle, or love
• 6:23
football, this is going to be a game you don't want to miss.
