- 0:00I don't like not seeing your eyes.
- 0:20Is that too, is that too?
- 0:22No, no, no.
- 0:22I was just trying to be cool.
- 0:23Okay.
- 0:24You look too cool.
- 0:26Thanks.
- 0:27Much appreish.
- 0:28but I need to be able to see when you go
- 0:30oh
- 0:32it was a selfish thing
- 0:34well no but I also
- 0:36it's better to be able
- 0:37okay
- 0:39I was just thinking about how we used to have
- 0:42sheep
- 0:43and goats
- 0:45we had an anchor when I was growing up
- 0:47some reason
- 0:49you said we used to have sheep and goats
- 0:51and I just thought you meant people in general
- 0:53I don't know why I thought
- 0:55and then I was like yeah we did used to
- 0:57We don't anymore.
- 0:59Yeah.
- 0:59Sorry.
- 0:59Keep going.
- 1:00We used to be a proper country with sheeps and goats.
- 1:03So, but like, we're not sheep and goat.
- 1:06We're not like, my dad was never animal people.
- 1:08Yeah.
- 1:09And so, but we had all this property.
- 1:10And so he got these sheep and goats to like eat the grass.
- 1:13Yeah.
- 1:14And like got to a point where they would do such a good job that like he would like loan
- 1:17them out to neighbors.
- 1:19Like his own little lawn business.
- 1:21Yeah.
- 1:22Anyway, so we had two sheep, Whitey and Blacky.
- 1:25and um what color were they i'd rather not say
- 1:30and also i did i might have named them but i don't remember like i was a child i didn't know
- 1:37yeah it was like the best i could do you hadn't blossomed into the full creative person that you
- 1:42are today yeah no i was yeah anyway um so one day i came home and oh by the way so like big
- 1:52property we'd have like parties on this property like if my birthday party my dad like rented a
- 1:56donkey one time for my birthday party and it kicked me i got a kick by the donkey yeah it was horrible
- 2:01i don't know why i laughed i'm sorry it really really hurt did the donkey think that you were
- 2:07a pinata it's just a really bad irony yeah he thought it was his birthday yeah thanks for this
- 2:14fat little pinata um yeah but like why would you let me be behind it yeah you're i know yeah i
- 2:21It was a little donkey.
- 2:24That's probably why I'm still alive.
- 2:26Probably that could have been lethal.
- 2:28So close.
- 2:30Anyway, so one day I came home
- 2:31and I can't remember which one,
- 2:35but one of them was dead.
- 2:36The sheep.
- 2:38And as I found out,
- 2:40I got into the house and my dad goes,
- 2:41hey, I need your help with something in the backyard.
- 2:44And I was like, okay.
- 2:45So we went back there and he opened the gate
- 2:46and it was like swollen, dead.
- 2:49And I'm like,
- 2:50and he's like I know
- 2:51I'm like what happened he goes
- 2:55he died and I'm like
- 2:57oh my god I'm like devastated he goes
- 2:59I need your help getting it in the truck
- 3:02and I'm like what
- 3:03and he like we like grabbed a leg
- 3:06and threw it in the truck
- 3:08and I'm like so sad he's like all right
- 3:09we gotta get rid of it and I'm like
- 3:11I have no ideas about what's coming
- 3:13yeah he drives out to
- 3:15Scottsdale where the freeway hasn't
- 3:17is like being built like
- 3:19goes to an exit that's under like
- 3:21construction and he gets in the back
- 3:23and he just like kicks it into the desert
- 3:25and I'm like
- 3:27watching like
- 3:28and I start crying and then he comes in
- 3:31and he like pat me and he goes it's okay
- 3:33hey it's okay the wolves
- 3:35will come
- 3:36like that's what you
- 3:43were worried about
- 3:44yeah
- 3:45oh
- 3:47Well, welcome to Very Fine Friends.
- 3:51Hey, don't worry.
- 3:53It's biodegradable.
- 3:54Yeah.
- 3:55The wolves will come.
- 3:57It's going to be the title of my autobiography.
- 4:03Well, yeah, good.
- 4:05Yeah, good.
- 4:08Sorry that happened to you.
- 4:09Thanks, man.
- 4:10but i'm ultimately not sorry because your childhood
- 4:14has reaped a lot of benefits for me personally and for the pod it's great pod fodder yeah
- 4:21potter thank you fodder for the pod fodder oh the pod fodder they'll never go against the
- 4:28if we ever do a secondary podcast we gotta lock that name down pod fodder yeah yeah okay
- 4:34oh shoot now i'm wondering if it's available it's gotta be i don't i hope so i doubt anyone's
- 4:42as clever as us yeah um uh we'll lock it down look for that everywhere that you get your podcasts
- 4:52yeah be prepared to listen to two podcasts yeah very similar yes it's just more stories of
- 4:59Francis's childhood,
- 5:01which that would sell.
- 5:04I think you should write a little memoir.
- 5:06You think?
- 5:07Yes.
- 5:07Although I am worried that every story would,
- 5:09would be like,
- 5:10I was about 10 and I graduated college.
- 5:15Then you get sued for spreading libel about the release date of
- 5:18expendables too.
- 5:19Yeah.
- 5:20That's this statute of limitations is going to be up on.
- 5:23It's just so funny to me that that never occurred to you.
- 5:28Okay.
- 5:28The Spindles 2 came out in 2012.
- 5:33I can't do this anymore.
- 5:36So this was after the release of it.
- 5:38Francis and I are the same age.
- 5:40Stop it.
- 5:41Stop.
- 5:41I've got to find out something.
- 5:43Okay.
- 5:43You talk and I'll find out.
- 5:45Yes.
- 5:47But yeah, all of your memories, you loosely seem to be about 10.
- 5:50It was a very formative time for you.
- 5:54A lot happened at a short period of time.
- 5:56Yeah.
- 5:57Quick interruption.
- 5:58Every week on the podcast, we do something where our producer Joe gives Francis and I each our own
- 6:06secret word. Throughout the course of the podcast, we need to find a way to slip the secret word
- 6:13into our conversation without the other person noticing. If the other person can correctly guess
- 6:18the secret word, they get a point. And right before we die, we add up all the points.
- 6:25And then we get a prize, whoever has the most points for guessing the most secret words.
- 6:32Here's Joe with today's secret words.
- 6:35Jenna's secret word is microscopic.
- 6:38Jenna's decoy word is heartland.
- 6:40Francis's secret word is hysterectomy.
- 6:43Francis's decoy word is commentaries.
- 6:47Back to the pod.
- 6:48Well, this one thing that I know that you don't make up or you don't have foggy memories on.
- 7:00Your inventions of the week.
- 7:05Inventions.
- 7:09Sorry, Francis is still looking things up.
- 7:10I don't know if he's ready.
- 7:11You want my invention?
- 7:14Oh, are you kidding?
- 7:15Give it to me.
- 7:17I want it.
- 7:17You ready to be invented?
- 7:19Yeah.
- 7:20Give me that.
- 7:21Yeah.
- 7:22Give me that.
- 7:23Okay.
- 7:24Well, this week is very special.
- 7:27Oh, good.
- 7:29You know how they say necessity is the mother of invention?
- 7:32I do.
- 7:32Yeah.
- 7:33You know how it's Mother's Day?
- 7:37I'm kidding.
- 7:39Oh, damn it.
- 7:39No.
- 7:41I really wanted to see where that train was going.
- 7:43No, I just heard, you know, my brain was like,
- 7:44Mother's Day.
- 7:46No, say it.
- 7:47Say it.
- 7:47You're a loser if you don't say.
- 7:50Okay, so
- 7:50this, so I was
- 7:53planning like future travel and I was like,
- 7:56like,
- 7:58it was expensive to fly. Oh, I don't believe in saying things
- 8:00are expensive because I feel
- 8:02that I'm rich. Yeah. But if I
- 8:04put my mind in someone else's
- 8:05poor shoes,
- 8:07flying is expensive for them
- 8:09and renting a car is expensive for them.
- 8:12I thought to myself,
- 8:14hmm,
- 8:15how can I solve this problem?
- 8:17Jenna.
- 8:18Yeah.
- 8:19Let's say you are planning a trip.
- 8:23Okay.
- 8:24You're going from Phoenix to Tanu.
- 8:32Or Cancun, for example.
- 8:34Cancun.
- 8:38When you mouth the word Cancun, sometimes it looks like Tanu.
- 8:45Yeah.
- 8:45Yeah.
- 8:46That place, Tanu.
- 8:47I didn't even see him do it.
- 8:50I knew he was saying Cancun because we were just talking about Cancun.
- 8:54Okay.
- 8:55Anyway,
- 8:56so yeah,
- 8:58you're going to drive down there,
- 8:59right?
- 9:01Kind of expensive for some people.
- 9:03Yeah.
- 9:04Gas.
- 9:05And yeah.
- 9:05And if you don't want to the wear and tear on your own car and so you rent a
- 9:08car.
- 9:08Yeah.
- 9:08You're talking.
- 9:09I know.
- 9:10Buku.
- 9:11Not to mention driving takes a long time.
- 9:16That time.
- 9:16your time is worth something that's money. Yeah, that's cash money, cash money in the
- 9:22building. And you to deal with the border. Yeah, if you're going to Cancun, you have
- 9:25to deal with the border. Got to go deal with the border. I don't know, which by the way,
- 9:31I don't know if that's a stressful experience or not, but I imagine it would be like regardless
- 9:36of whether it's lawful or unlawful. Going down there. I mean, as long as you don't forget
- 9:42your passport, it's probably fine. Yeah, we go down. We've been to Rocky Point without
- 9:45a passport and they're just like come on in yeah they're like where are you from like america
- 9:52they're like okay you said it the right way so you get to come in land of eagles bitch
- 9:59anyway i had a great idea for an app it is an app where basically you put in this is where i'm
- 10:09starting from this is where i'm going and it connects you with people who are looking for
- 10:13trips around the same time, going to the same place.
- 10:16And it hooks you up with people so you can share costs.
- 10:19So there's a little filter where it's like,
- 10:21I'm willing to drive or I'm open to driving with you.
- 10:24And then it maps out based on the type of car,
- 10:28like how far it is and how much a profit will cost in gas.
- 10:31And it splits everything out.
- 10:33And it basically connects you with people
- 10:35so that you can have a nice affordable journey.
- 10:42Okay.
- 10:43I could definitely see people using that.
- 10:49Um,
- 10:50I can't see myself using that.
- 10:53That sounds like a freaking nightmare.
- 10:55It's a road trip with strangers.
- 10:59But that,
- 11:00does it also come with a shotgun so you can kill them and or yourself?
- 11:04You really don't want a shotgun in such tight quarters.
- 11:07Well,
- 11:08yeah,
- 11:08you also don't want strangers in tight quarters.
- 11:11Well,
- 11:11there's a couple things that we can do to mitigate this.
- 11:14I want strangers in loose dimes.
- 11:16Nice.
- 11:16Yeah.
- 11:18What?
- 11:19As opposed to tight quarters,
- 11:20loose dimes.
- 11:21Oh,
- 11:21nice,
- 11:21nice,
- 11:22nice.
- 11:23All dimes are loose.
- 11:24That's my second book.
- 11:27You can,
- 11:28so let's say you're a lady and you don't want to be paired with men.
- 11:30There's an option for that.
- 11:32Like put me with women only.
- 11:33Oh,
- 11:34good.
- 11:34So they all die in a car crash.
- 11:36None of them can drive.
- 11:37I didn't laugh at that.
- 11:39he was laughing at something else yeah a bird flew by with a newspaper
- 11:45and the newspaper had a joke written on it a joke about women drivers um so there's that um
- 11:54these are all there's like a background check you which like is an extra level so like not everyone
- 12:01like has one but if you're willing to like pay the fee to have it done then you're like a verified
- 12:07whatever so you can say i only want verified people keep in mind background checks only
- 12:12know of things you've can can got for a little thing can you say i only want unverified people
- 12:19i want it to be a i want to roll i'm going to roll the dice on this yeah yeah yeah um but you
- 12:26know for people who aren't worried about the stranger thing it could even be for hotels like
- 12:31oh, this hotel is going to cost me a thousand bucks.
- 12:34It's got two queen beds.
- 12:35You coming 500 bucks.
- 12:40I mean, this, okay.
- 12:45Let me put it this way.
- 12:46This isn't a bad idea for some people.
- 12:50It is a terrible idea for me.
- 12:52I would never, ever use it, but people are insane.
- 12:56She loves it.
- 12:57And they would do this.
- 12:59They would absolutely do this.
- 13:01this would succeed.
- 13:02This would succeed.
- 13:03Not because of us,
- 13:05but it would succeed.
- 13:06Well,
- 13:06I would like,
- 13:07here's my thing.
- 13:07Because of insane people.
- 13:08I can think of a time when I like,
- 13:10I think as a man,
- 13:11I,
- 13:12I don't have like the same concerns or like worries or whatever.
- 13:16Like sometimes some people do,
- 13:17but like there's been times where it's like,
- 13:19ugh,
- 13:20I'm going on this really long trip.
- 13:21I would definitely have like taken someone with me to like share the cost.
- 13:26You know,
- 13:26especially if you're going cross country.
- 13:27Yeah.
- 13:27Yeah.
- 13:28I mean,
- 13:28you've driven cross country.
- 13:30That's a 29 hour drive.
- 13:31it's like, oh, it would have been nice if someone else could take over.
- 13:33Yeah.
- 13:34I guess that's part of the reason why people pick up hitchhikers.
- 13:40Yeah.
- 13:42Both people just like point guns at each other the whole time while we're driving.
- 13:45Just to be safe.
- 13:46I trust you this is just a technicality Okay yeah Now I just thinking about the people that would do this and that would be some some weird weird it like a greyhound bus station
- 14:02yeah exactly i'm just saying like that exists
- 14:06yeah but this is but you're saying greyhound but let's make it more personal
- 14:13let's get to know each other eliminate the 50 rows between us yeah hey hey let's share a radio
- 14:23and small talk and our slogan is not everyone's a psycho a little asterisk but some people are
- 14:30but anyone that uses this is okay so would it just be for car rides there's no well there's
- 14:38no really way to do this for planes that's just that's just chartering a flight yeah no but like
- 14:43I said, hotels. Yeah. So like, if you're thinking about flying somewhere, it's going to be like,
- 14:45Oh, I'm flying here on this day. These are the days I'm going to be out here. Let's share a hotel
- 14:50when people do hostels, which is like same concept as like being in close quarters with strangers.
- 14:57Yeah, that's true. People do do hostels. Um, but again, I would think of that as like
- 15:05youth does hostels. I could see college kids doing this as long as they knew they were doing
- 15:11it with other college kids.
- 15:12Well, you can have an age filter too.
- 15:14And that would actually be fun because then it's like, oh, I'm like potentially making
- 15:18friends with other people my age on this trip.
- 15:20And also I'm a college kid, so I need to discount this.
- 15:23Yeah.
- 15:23Aren't we all just college kids who got older?
- 15:28Wow.
- 15:29That was really deep, Francis.
- 15:31That's the tagline for this invention.
- 15:38Yes.
- 15:38So something like this doesn't already exist.
- 15:41I hope not.
- 15:42I mean, I don't think so.
- 15:44Is this?
- 15:45No, it's new.
- 15:46Okay.
- 15:47Isn't this, is Groupon like this?
- 15:50No, it's not.
- 15:51Groupon is nothing like, Groupon doesn't do this.
- 15:52Well, I know they don't do like travel stuff,
- 15:54but isn't their thing like pooling people for like activities
- 15:57and getting a discount?
- 15:59It's more like businesses give a coupon at scale.
- 16:03Yeah, coupon at scale.
- 16:05This is not like my thing at all.
- 16:06My thing is new and fresh and new.
- 16:08Your thing is discounts with a group.
- 16:10it's nothing like coupon at scale well i guess it's like you're not really giving a disc you're
- 16:16and this you're not really giving a discount no you're just facilitating things to make it cheaper
- 16:23yeah and when you go like the gas is still going to be the same price right and we know the latest
- 16:28prices so that's how our like technology is like oh this is about what it's going to cost you in
- 16:32gas depending on if you stop at these places so you can like budget which is good to know too so
- 16:37So do people pay?
- 16:40How do we make money off of this?
- 16:43Do people pay?
- 16:45Selling their personal information.
- 16:46Yeah.
- 16:47Okay, so they don't pay.
- 16:49So it's like anything that's free.
- 16:51If it's free, you're the product.
- 16:52Yeah, but also, let's look at this.
- 16:54You know how Expedia and Hotels.com, whatever,
- 16:58how they work with hotels to get better pricing?
- 17:03Yeah.
- 17:03And they take a cut?
- 17:05We do the same thing with hotels.
- 17:06So it's like, oh, we could recommend XYZ hotels along your route.
- 17:09Book through us.
- 17:11We get a cut.
- 17:13Damn, that's good.
- 17:16But we have the additional layer of pricing out your trip
- 17:20and connecting you with other people that will take that trip with you.
- 17:24Yeah, and just like some other apps that exist currently,
- 17:27people can be rated, you know?
- 17:29Oh, so you can rate your fellow travelers?
- 17:31It was a read.
- 17:33Yeah.
- 17:34Like if you have a good experience,
- 17:35It's like, hey, I had a great time with so-and-so.
- 17:42How quickly would that, I worry about that rating system.
- 17:47I mean, that's a good idea if people are honest in it and don't like.
- 17:55But what if someone just hates the music someone plays and they're like, one star?
- 18:02Well, there'll be different.
- 18:02So it's like, you know, when you when you have like you go to a restaurant and they have like the thing, it's like pay on this tablet.
- 18:07And then they always want you to do a survey.
- 18:09And it's like, how was your experience?
- 18:11How was the food?
- 18:11How was the environment?
- 18:13How was your server?
- 18:14It'll be like that.
- 18:15How big were her knockers?
- 18:17Why do you think I'm doing the survey?
- 18:20You know what I mean?
- 18:20So it could be like music taste.
- 18:22We jived.
- 18:24Yeah, maybe that.
- 18:24I mean, if you're doing a road trip, music takes should be a filter.
- 18:27Well, we can connect Spotify and Apple Music
- 18:30that can look at people's playlists and things that they like
- 18:34and be like, ooh, you have a 20% chance
- 18:37of having a good musical trip with this person.
- 18:39Or it can connect you with people who like,
- 18:42you guys have similar tastes.
- 18:43And Spotify has that thing now where you can do a blend
- 18:45where you scan each other's account or whatever
- 18:48and then it creates a playlist based on your music taste.
- 18:53I guess that would make it more palatable
- 18:54if every other song was one of your songs.
- 18:57Yeah.
- 18:57Yeah.
- 18:57And then you might find a couple from the other person that you enjoy and then it's a
- 19:02net positive.
- 19:03Hmm.
- 19:05Mm hmm.
- 19:06Yep.
- 19:07So what do we think?
- 19:07Uh, I think again, I, I act, I do think this would work.
- 19:19I, I would, I would hope that it would be only a like microscopic amount of people that
- 19:27use this service but i know that it would be used by like way more people than i thought yeah um
- 19:34because people do insane things all the time that i don't understand
- 19:37um i a hundred percent this would be great for college kids
- 19:42um we can even do like verified like oh i'm with a comment i'm a student and like it verifies
- 19:49you're like student status you know yeah partnering with colleges yeah um
- 19:54yeah
- 19:58but then what kind of college student doesn't have their own friends that they can do stuff with
- 20:04well sometimes it's like i'm going home i need someone who's going where i'm going
- 20:13not that i want like i can't i don't have friends to be with it's just my friends are in cancun and
- 20:18I'm going to Whippany.
- 20:22Whippany?
- 20:22Is that a real place?
- 20:23Yeah.
- 20:24Just outside to new.
- 20:30Okay.
- 20:31Whippany's real.
- 20:32Okay.
- 20:34Excuse me.
- 20:35Careful.
- 20:37She coughs when she likes my ideas.
- 20:40So good.
- 20:43What do you want to call this service?
- 20:45I was thinking Weber.
- 20:48like uber but we we uber yeah yeah yeah okay spelled out that looks like
- 21:03what was the last name oh dr and mrs weber i like how you gave them credentials that's good
- 21:10That's good.
- 21:12Something with like transit, group.
- 21:18Transient.
- 21:22Is there something that means cool that rhymes with hitch?
- 21:31Switch hiking.
- 21:33Switch hiking?
- 21:34That sounds like a sexual thing.
- 21:36Yeah, it does.
- 21:37I'm writing it down anyway.
- 21:38switch hiking your secret word
- 21:40I don't find it at the end
- 21:43fellowship
- 21:44is that a suggestion
- 21:47fellowship yeah oh because a ship
- 21:49moves and you're doing it with fellows
- 21:51yeah and it's like
- 21:53the fellowship at the ring you know
- 21:55they were all a bunch of people who didn't know
- 21:57each other that just got together to go to the same
- 21:59place you're right
- 22:00and they probably all paid less
- 22:02because they went together
- 22:04see yeah
- 22:05too bad pay less is taken
- 22:08wait uh yeah well we can put the shoe is the shoe store that is still in business
- 22:14no i haven't seen it in a while i know me neither there's one literally around the corner from here
- 22:19oh really open or board it up i have the sign is still up oh that could just be a house for birds
- 22:26yeah it's just a house for birds uh and i don't mean ladies
- 22:34whose car gets used or do you rent a car you say like oh i'm interested in renting
- 22:42well you check boxes so it's like i'm open to renting or i'm open to you drive like your car
- 22:48or i'm open to you using my car right and then you kind of work out but then you have to like
- 22:53clarify what kind of a car you have so that i mean it can be in your profile yeah um but then
- 22:59someone who uses their own car should obviously pay less because there's wear and tear on the car
- 23:05yeah and our our system we have an algorithm that that appropriately calculates the amount of wear
- 23:11versus the distance like what have you okay yeah good good for our algorithm thank god we wrote
- 23:18that thing oh yeah it was that was lucky we would just we just did that just to have you know like
- 23:24Yeah.
- 23:24Better to have it.
- 23:25Just like put it in a drawer.
- 23:26Yeah.
- 23:27And then thank God you remembered about it and dusted it off.
- 23:31Oh,
- 23:31it came to me in a dream.
- 23:32I was like,
- 23:33oh,
- 23:33algorithm.
- 23:34Yeah.
- 23:35Yeah.
- 23:36I woke up screaming.
- 23:36Yeah.
- 23:40Oh,
- 23:40she likes it.
- 23:43Um,
- 23:44all right.
- 23:45So fellowship,
- 23:46fellowship is a good name.
- 23:49Something with fleet fleeting.
- 23:54nice still instead of hostile.
- 23:57Oh,
- 23:58cause yeah,
- 23:59no,
- 23:59people are nice.
- 23:59I see what you're doing.
- 24:00Yeah,
- 24:01that's good.
- 24:02Share reason.
- 24:04I don't do the names share,
- 24:07share,
- 24:08share,
- 24:09but like the lady,
- 24:10like you're sharing the singer share.
- 24:13Yeah.
- 24:14Or car.
- 24:18I think it's so fascinating to watch your mind work.
- 24:20very good Francis
- 24:26what was the thing you said something that means cool
- 24:34but rhymes with hitch yeah like bitch
- 24:37bitch oh that's
- 24:41where you were going with that bitch
- 24:43yeah
- 24:44thumbs
- 24:48let's call it thumbs
- 24:50Joe, you're a little young, but that's what
- 24:54hitchhikers used to do. I know, Francis.
- 24:56Oh. Also, what do you mean
- 24:58I'm a little young? We're the same age.
- 25:00I know. You both were 10 when
- 25:02Expendables 2 came out. That's right.
- 25:04100%.
- 25:04Something I wish would go away.
- 25:07All right.
- 25:09I'll pause on that.
- 25:12I'll stop
- 25:12being obsessed with
- 25:15that idea. It was so funny
- 25:18to me. Did you ever think that maybe this is related to my trauma
- 25:19but I don't know times.
- 25:22Who knows what happened to me when you see a dead bloated sheep,
- 25:24you just lose all perspective.
- 25:28Yes.
- 25:29Time stands still.
- 25:31When you get kicked in the chest by a miniature donkey.
- 25:34Okay.
- 25:35Time stops flowing linearly.
- 25:41I think thumbs is a funny name.
- 25:46Summer.
- 25:48Are you a summer?
- 25:49oh yeah I thumb
- 25:50oh you thumb
- 25:51when was the last time you got thumbed
- 25:54oh
- 25:55I want it to be like
- 25:58I want it to be so popular
- 25:59that it becomes I forget what it's called
- 26:02but like when a brand becomes the name of
- 26:04like the generic like Kleenex
- 26:06like Kleenex
- 26:06so I want instead of people saying
- 26:10vacation I'm
- 26:12thumbing I'm thumbing to
- 26:13oh yeah where
- 26:15where do you thumber
- 26:16that is that is so the slogan oh that's that now it has to be named
- 26:26although it would be funny to not call it thumbs and then just have people just
- 26:32figure it out on their own
- 26:35yes that's it
- 26:41oh my god oh wow well go to very fine friends.com to get more info on this i'm i'm assuming that
- 26:54you can go to thumbs.com to sign up and let us know what kind of filters how you want to be able
- 27:02to filter your your fellow passengers like obviously uh gender is a big one age would be a
- 27:09big one um music taste but i mean is there a way i guess to generally because this like once we're
- 27:17doing these filters it actually is like starts getting into kind of like a friendship app if
- 27:21you're like well yeah i was like people in your town and then if you can like filter on like
- 27:25do you like tv shows like do you like mr show like fiction books i like fiction books yeah well
- 27:33i was the whole time you were describing it i was thinking like i give it six months before this
- 27:38turns into a hookup app.
- 27:41Hey whatever happens happens And I not saying that not bad that that not good for business I just saying that would still be a moneymaker Yeah Where you meet your husband He thumbed me
- 27:57We thumbered into new.
- 28:05Yeah.
- 28:05So let us know how you want to filter your fellow thumbers.
- 28:08Yeah.
- 28:11we'll make it happen.
- 28:13We got that algorithm.
- 28:15We can do whatever we want.
- 28:16Yeah.
- 28:16All right.
- 28:17Stay tuned.
- 28:17We're smart.
- 28:18We're not film.
- 28:22This is going to be big.
- 28:23Huge hit.
- 28:23Huge hit.
- 28:24Huge.
- 28:24Yeah.
- 28:26Huge.
- 28:28That wraps up the invention of the week.
- 28:32Okay.
- 28:34So it takes us to our next segment.
- 28:38you smell like my great uncle peter
- 28:42wait a minute great uncle peter is that you
- 28:47do you want to describe this one or should i describe it maybe you should just go for it
- 28:56okay yeah all right we'll just go for it i think the audience is smart yeah of course
- 29:04They're sizzlers, they get it.
- 29:05They're sizzling thumbs.
- 29:10Thumbslot.
- 29:15Okay, great.
- 29:17Jenna, who do you want to be?
- 29:20Or do you just want to be them?
- 29:21I'll be the people.
- 29:23Okay, be the people.
- 29:30Hi, welcome to my fabric store.
- 29:33is the first time I'm seeing you in here.
- 29:35Well, it's my first time in here.
- 29:37That explains it.
- 29:39Well, let me know if I can help you with anything.
- 29:41We've got a bunch of stuff.
- 29:44Janet?
- 29:46No.
- 29:46Janet.
- 29:47No, no, no, no.
- 29:48It's Barbara.
- 29:49No.
- 29:50No, you're Janet.
- 29:51No, no, I'm Barbara.
- 29:53You're in Barb's linens right now.
- 29:55Oh my God, it's just uncanny.
- 29:58I'm sorry, I don't mean to unload this on you,
- 29:59but you have the same wig.
- 30:03It's Janet.
- 30:05What was this?
- 30:06Well, it's a wig.
- 30:07God had a funny sense of humor,
- 30:08stitching it into my head.
- 30:10Because it's all real, baby.
- 30:12It's all real.
- 30:13Oh, I'm sorry.
- 30:14It's just Janet died.
- 30:17Oh, my goodness.
- 30:18I'm so sorry.
- 30:19It's just your wig.
- 30:20It looks just like her.
- 30:21Oh, okay.
- 30:22Again, not a wig.
- 30:23Right.
- 30:24And she ran a fabric shop.
- 30:26And I thought when I walked in here,
- 30:28Barb was code for Janet.
- 30:30Oh, no.
- 30:31Barb's code for Barbara.
- 30:32okay that's yeah that's again god had a funny sense of humor if he gave me the name barbara
- 30:40and wanted me to be called janet okay let me just try one more thing magnets magnets on the wall
- 30:46who's gonna go to them all janet oh no i didn't know that was just a guess that was it that was
- 30:54our secret song me and janet that was that was just a rhyming guess i just i just i sounded like
- 31:01you wanted a rhyme there. I really can't be in here anymore. Oh, you sure? We got a new, we, uh,
- 31:06we have a whole bunch of gingham in our, in our heartland connection. That was Janet's middle
- 31:11name, Janet gingham. Oh, I didn't mean to evoke, would you like a good, here, let me bring you
- 31:17over. We got the farm section and here's the aforementioned heartland section. Janet had a
- 31:23heart. Oh yeah. Yeah. Physical and metaphorical big heart. Oh, well it sounds like she was a real
- 31:29special lady she was her heart exploded on a plane have you been on a plane oh yes yeah wait i i yes
- 31:36i did well yeah most people have been on a plane that's not true is it no most americans but that's
- 31:45not what you said okay i used to i don't think of anyone outside of america as people okay
- 31:51that's my fatal flaw oh surprisingly it's a very common opinion by owners of
- 31:58linen stores why janet feel the same way she did she did oh well i'm very sorry for your loss
- 32:07thank you let me know if you want any corduroy all right absolutely did you say corduroy i did
- 32:12i said corduroy that was her last name janet gingham corduroy that's why she opened the
- 32:18fabric store. Oh, well, I guess that makes, oh, honey, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, you're just
- 32:25going right in for the hug. You're, you're putting your, your head on my shoulder. Yeah.
- 32:29And oh my God, similar buzz. Oh yeah. Again, God given they weren't that I believe. They
- 32:38I'm lying. Actually they're fake. Well, I just did. I didn't want to tell a stranger
- 32:46about my fake boobs.
- 32:47I'm not a stranger.
- 32:48We've known each other for years.
- 32:50I'm not Janet.
- 32:51Janet.
- 32:52I'm not Janet.
- 32:54Here's my card.
- 32:55Oh.
- 32:56Oh.
- 32:57Just says your name in a QR code.
- 33:01You just get it.
- 33:02Okay.
- 33:02I'm so Janet.
- 33:04I'm excited.
- 33:06Let me ask you something.
- 33:07Yeah.
- 33:08Do you have kids?
- 33:10Well, I'm scared to answer this one.
- 33:12yeah yeah i have kids can you still oh hey now no i'm just curious because
- 33:22hey now hey now hey now janet was forced to stop she was forced to stop yeah who forced her
- 33:31the doctor why would a doctor do that she went in for an appendectomy and he gave her a hysterectomy
- 33:37instead. Oh my God. She wanted 10 more kids, but she couldn't. Is that your story?
- 33:42No, no, I have 10 kids. So I, I, I have, I have 10 already.
- 33:52This is, I, I, I, I really hate to keep reminding you of Janet. I'm not trying to remind you of
- 33:57Janet. Okay. Okay. All right. Well then maybe if you're not going to buy anything,
- 34:05maybe you stop clinging to me like dear life you want me to let go yeah i would i would i you know
- 34:11i gotta do i gotta do inventory okay i need my i need my arms for that yeah i can help
- 34:17oh no that's okay i know fabric terms spoon do you say spoon spool oh spool bobbin
- 34:25bobbin yeah needle barbs bobbins oh that's good yeah thanks that's what i always say to myself
- 34:32when I'm unpacking the bobbins.
- 34:33Janet talked to herself.
- 34:35She was medicated for it.
- 34:37Oh, well, they better not put me on anything.
- 34:40I like, it's just usually me in here,
- 34:43so I talk to myself quite a bit.
- 34:45Would it be weird if I asked to work here?
- 34:48Yes, that would be weird.
- 34:50Again, please, please stop clinging to me.
- 34:53Stop clinging to me like your life depends on it.
- 34:55I'm going to need to ask you to scoot on out of here.
- 35:00wow you're really bold you know janet had a lot of commentaries too oh okay yeah um okay
- 35:09uh oh no you're you've moved down from my upper torso to my leg you're just
- 35:15clinging to my legs i just want to see your veins oh yeah they're varicose yeah guess

- 36:01Hey, Daryl, I'm going to need you to come into my office.
- 36:08Dad?
- 36:09Stop calling me dad.
- 36:10I'm your boss.
- 36:11Sorry.
- 36:12It's just the cologne.
- 36:13What is it?
- 36:14was this,
- 36:16were you the one
- 36:17that went down to the factory
- 36:20and told all the workers they could leave early
- 36:22that day? Me?
- 36:24Yeah. You wanted to be a hero?
- 36:26Yeah. You wanted to be a hero for a day?
- 36:29Yeah. I'm sure
- 36:30they loved it. I watched the footage back.
- 36:32They all yelled. They carried you around
- 36:34on their shoulders.
- 36:36Sorry, Dad.
- 36:38Okay.
- 36:39Don't call me, don't call me, Dad.
- 36:42I'm sorry.
- 36:43It is very, look, I know it's not usual for you to talk to the actual owner of the company.
- 36:50There's like at least 10 managers in between us, but they didn't know how to handle this situation.
- 36:57They had to kick it all the way to the top, which is why you're here.
- 36:59You're tough but firm, just like my father.
- 37:02Okay, but you do know I'm not your father, right?
- 37:06It's not that you're him, it's just that you're so much like him.
- 37:11You could be him.
- 37:11If my dad died.
- 37:13Oh, yeah.
- 37:14Okay.
- 37:15In a warehouse fire.
- 37:17Hey, why a warehouse fire?
- 37:20What are you planning on doing with that?
- 37:22Nothing.
- 37:23Okay, good.
- 37:24I'm just saying you could step in and it would be like I never lost anything.
- 37:29That's how much you guys are alike.
- 37:31Okay.
- 37:32All right.
- 37:33Look, could you, could you hand me, could you hand me that, that lighter?
- 37:38I'm gonna.
- 37:39No, I can hand you this.

- 38:20she was either one of those things oh dad she's not a looker or a she's an order she's an order
- 38:26in her. She's a bag. Yeah. Yeah. Well, use that.
- 38:30It not me. Don't tell her. Oh, I wouldn't. I would never tell mom that.
- 38:35Anyway, thank you for giving me this job. I know I didn't earn it.
- 38:38No, no, no. You were not. No, this isn't. This is
- 38:42not a nepotism thing. You're not here because of nepotism.
- 38:46Now you're trying to spare my feelings, but we both know what you did. Wink, wink, shoulder.
- 38:49I love you, Papa. Go. Well, hey, hey, no. Definitely
- 38:53don't call me papa you're right we're not and so let's put the love they now we need to go back to
- 38:59this the reason that you're here oh yeah the warehouse workers we lost a day's work because
- 39:06of your shenanigans and uh quite frankly uh this we didn't have such a robust hr system i'd fire
- 39:16you on the spot but apparently you need to go through several levels of review oh i get it
- 39:21You're worried that you don't know what to do with me because you're between a rock and a hard place.
- 39:28No, no, no.
- 39:29I'm between your idiocy and HR.
- 39:31I know what to do with you.
- 39:33If I had my druthers, you'd be out on your ass.
- 39:35You're worried that if you don't do the right thing, they're going to think it's because you're my dad.
- 39:42No.
- 39:43Do people think that you're my son?
- 39:45Have you been telling people you're my son?
- 39:47Yes, we look so much alike.
- 39:48We don't look anything alike.
- 39:49I go home and I look at my quote unquote real father with nothing but rage.
- 39:55You, I'm, I am a, I am a chart stocky bald man.
- 40:01You are six, seven and thin as a whip and ginger.
- 40:06What do you, what is, sorry, I stubbed my toe.
- 40:11Have you ever stubbed your toe dad?
- 40:13Of course I've stubbed my toe.
- 40:15That's a human thing.
- 40:16That's not a, see, that's not a genetic thing.
- 40:19That's not stubbing toes is not passed down through jeans.
- 40:23How big is your toe?
- 40:25Toe size.
- 40:27Let's take our shoes off.
- 40:29I'm not dope.
- 40:30Hey, but your shoes.
- 40:32Stop taking my shoes.
- 40:33Come on.
- 40:34Take it off.
- 40:35God damn wrong day to wear loafers.
- 40:37Oh, and look at that huge ass toe.
- 40:41Yes, I have a big toe.
- 40:42Look at mine.
- 40:44Yours is.
- 40:45Oh, they match.
- 40:47Why is the hair braided on your toes?
- 40:49What are you?
- 40:50Oh, I went to the beach.
- 40:54I got a service.
- 40:55They offered.
- 40:55Bill is a little fancy.
- 40:58Yeah.
- 40:59Yeah.
- 40:59It's hard to get out.
- 41:00Honestly.
- 41:01No.
- 41:02Well, my dad, I disappoint.
- 41:03Are you ashamed of me, father?
- 41:06I'm not your father.
- 41:07I'm not your father.
- 41:09You just remind me of him so much.
- 41:12Really?
- 41:12Did he want to fire you too?
- 41:14Because that's what I'd like to do.
- 41:16Wow.
- 41:17I'm just grateful to have a father figure like you who's willing to give it to
- 41:21me straight. You're not pulling any punches.
- 41:24I mean only the ones that I'm required by HR to, to pull,
- 41:29which is the not firing you until you've gone through a sufficient review
- 41:31process punch But look just stay away from the warehouse Okay Stay away from me Can I have the rest of the day off because i think i need to reflect maybe i get some lunch or something i don know i you wait i

- 42:24What?
- 42:26Are you my sister?
- 42:30Do I?
- 42:31No.
- 42:31No.
- 42:32Yeah, it's your perfume.
- 42:34You think that I get that all the time, people asking me if I'm their sister?
- 42:39Well, you know how some people say you got a familiar face?
- 42:43Oh, yeah, I do get that.
- 42:44I get that a lot.

- 44:10Who's Aunt Janet?
- 44:12She's running a fabric shop down the street.
- 44:15She's calling herself Barb.

- 44:27Oh, my God.
- 44:28You knew this whole time?
- 44:30No, I know Barb.
- 44:32She's not.
- 44:33Well, first of all, let's take a couple steps back.
- 44:36We're not related.
- 44:37Okay.
- 44:38Our first sibling fight.
- 44:39Love it.
- 44:39So cute.

- 45:38gonna be real mad.

- 45:44Sister, punch you till tomorrow.
- 45:50Oh my God, you do know the family fight song.
- 45:54Damn straight.
- 45:56Mom and dad
- 45:59gonna be real mad
- 46:02sister
- 46:04gonna punch you
- 46:06in the face till
- 46:08tomorrow
- 46:09oh my god get in here I love you
- 46:12I love you too
- 46:12I'm glad he finally found the truth
- 46:20yeah everyone's your family if you believe
- 46:21yep you just should try hard enough
- 46:24and everyone's related to you
- 46:25that's another thumbs
- 46:28slogan.
- 46:30I had a really sociopathic thought the other day,
- 46:32which was, I think it was when I was
- 46:34at the hotel, and I was like, oh my god, if you just
- 46:36stand near people and listen to them
- 46:38and maybe look at their phones a little,
- 46:40you could get enough detail to act like you know
- 46:42them and trick them into thinking you've met before.
- 46:44Oh, yeah. I've thought about
- 46:46that with, like, sometimes
- 46:48people give too much information, like
- 46:50the family decal stickers on the back of the
- 46:52cars or whatever,
- 46:54or, like, it'll be like the
- 46:56Jefferson family or whatever and then you're like
- 46:58um
- 47:01like you could walk up to somebody
- 47:02and be like Mrs. Jefferson
- 47:03I'm sorry to bother you
- 47:06I work at your daughter's school
- 47:07oh yeah yeah and then they'd be like oh
- 47:10you knew my name and you know that I have a daughter
- 47:12that's like little and like
- 47:14yeah
- 47:15yeah you can do anything
- 47:17like just that enough is enough to like
- 47:20really screw with people
- 47:22let's do it let's go do that do you want to go
- 47:24Sure.
- 47:25Around in public and see if we can mess with people.
- 47:26Absolutely.
- 47:27See how far we can go.
- 47:27Yeah.
- 47:28That sounds like fun.
- 47:30All right.
- 47:31Well, that wraps up.
- 47:33You smell like my great Uncle Peter.
- 47:36Hmm.
- 47:37That's him.
- 47:37All right.
- 47:38I love a family reunion.
- 47:42All right.
- 47:43Time for one final segment.
- 47:45The big question.
- 47:48The question is very big.
- 47:52You got one?
- 47:52I got one you do thank God okay just curious yeah you think me I don't know you didn't know
- 47:59that's my nickname for you I'm the big G yeah I'm Juby your God Juby and God God and Juby yeah
- 48:04isn't it interesting how before we get to the question when you when you have like two words
- 48:08you're trying to decide which goes first one always sounds right yeah there is a feel to it
- 48:13yeah there's like a rhythm I would say God and Juby right oh see I I like Juby and God I feel
- 48:19like Jubi and God is missing or like Jubi and the
- 48:21God. Oh yeah, you're right. It does mean that
- 48:23and I think I read somewhere that
- 48:25like actually there's just like science behind
- 48:27like if you arrange
- 48:29them in order like an alphabetical order
- 48:31it's like G coming before J.
- 48:34It sounds better
- 48:35to the human ear.
- 48:38There are like certain exceptions
- 48:39and I would say that maybe in this case it should be
- 48:41God and apostrophe
- 48:43Jubi.
- 48:45God and Jubi.
- 48:47Yeah and Jubi.
- 48:48gotten juby lately you're right if juby's first it needs a and the but i like you as the god too
- 48:54juby and the god thanks.com look for it juby and the god nice oh that's the pod no um here's my big
- 49:09question you know the movie titanic yes if i hired you as a screenwriter for the movie titanic
- 49:19how would what would you change and what would you do to make it a comedy
- 49:24um yeah great question great question um i would
- 49:39you'd have to do like,
- 49:44I would,
- 49:45you'd have to make it like,
- 49:48are the main characters still the main characters or can I,
- 49:51I mean,
- 49:52if you have a strong idea,
- 49:53I would say,
- 49:54I'm not going to stop you.
- 49:55You're the writer.
- 49:58I would make it a kind of like,
- 50:04uh,
- 50:05I would take two guys from the like stowage area,
- 50:08right?
- 50:09a couple of like, you know, you have to have the lower level people, like the ones that
- 50:14are a bunch of steerage people.
- 50:15Thank you.
- 50:15That was the word I was looking for.
- 50:19They would have to be, I would want it to be like a caper.
- 50:22Like they, they try and you're just going to tact by your microphone.
- 50:37Okay.
- 50:38Okay, good.
- 50:39We got to put this thing down.
- 50:42They would have to be, I would want them to,
- 50:45it would be like a series of hijinks that they would get up to while trying
- 50:50to steal, steal the heart of the ocean.
- 50:53Oh, they know about the heart.
- 50:55They know about the heart of the ocean.
- 50:56And so.
- 50:59How?
- 51:01Um, at the beginning of the movie, uh,
- 51:05at the beginning of the movie,
- 51:08they see a headline
- 51:10that says,
- 51:11heart of the ocean
- 51:12takes a trip of the ocean.
- 51:14Oh my God.
- 51:22I don't think that it was called that
- 51:24until after the night.
- 51:26I just assumed it was the name of that jewelry.
- 51:32Heart of the ocean takes the trip.
- 51:35that's the tagline for the new comedy yeah wow love it so i would make it like a buddy
- 51:42like road trip thing kind of but except it's them so you could still have it be like um
- 51:49i have to feel stupid not realizing that they named it that oh i was just yeah yeah the heart
- 51:55of the ocean sure that's i could be wrong our jewelry i don't joe am i wrong about this
- 51:59i think the only way that would work is if jp morgan named it the heart of the ocean
- 52:04real ones know.
- 52:06Yeah.
- 52:07But when they made the,
- 52:08when they made it,
- 52:09they didn't know it would be in the ocean.
- 52:12Well,
- 52:13we'll save that for another time.
- 52:15Yeah.
- 52:15We'll save this conspiracy talk for another time.
- 52:17Gotcha.
- 52:18Um,
- 52:19I think
- 52:21no,
- 52:24sure.
- 52:26They did.
- 52:27No,
- 52:27I don't know.
- 52:27It looks,
- 52:27it was blue.
- 52:29I thought,
- 52:29I just said they called it the heart of the ocean because it was blue.
- 52:33Okay.
- 52:33and it like lands on your boobs also known as the middle of your ocean yeah yeah no like it's
- 52:41the heart like it lands on your heart and the ocean is on your heart yeah yeah oh right sorry
- 52:47blue anyway so when i see a nice rack i always say i'm gonna sail those bad boys so hard later
- 52:53oh yeah yeah nice thanks um uh yeah and i would make it like a caper um i would also have uh
- 53:04wait as the ship is sinking so they'd be fun comic relief throughout because they'd be getting
- 53:11onto all different hijinks they would have costume changes and they'd be like trying to sneak in
- 53:16places there'd be one time when they're both dressed as women and like oh oh my can we just
- 53:22get into this little ball um yeah i haven't written it yet okay we're just blue skying this
- 53:29at the moment it's good yeah um um and then i would definitely as the ship is sinking
- 53:35i would have one long sustained slide whistle noise
- 53:40almost so slow you don't know it's that's what it is
- 53:49Yep. And then as the, like the last, like gurgle of the, um,
- 53:55last gurgle of the ship goes and they would do a real fast one, just like,
- 54:01that would be funny. Yeah, that definitely. Um, uh, I would
- 54:06eliminate all this background screaming noise. Oh, for sure. That just, yeah, maybe they could
- 54:14laugh uh the when the band continues to play because they know they're not getting off the
- 54:22ship um i'd have them play something funny like who let the dogs out
- 54:26yeah that on cello i think would be really funny oh yeah for sure for sure um maybe that penis song
- 54:36the penis song you know the detachable oh detachable penis especially because the ship's
- 54:43breaking in half. Yeah, that would be funny too. Do enough people know that song? Do you know that
- 54:47song? No, it's really funny. It's a King Missile song. I think I don't know. I'm Joe's age.
- 54:51I just heard it somewhere. Um, I could be wrong about it. I think that's right. I think it's King
- 54:56Missile, but it's about a guy who wakes up and he's like, Oh crap, my detachable penis. I lost
- 55:00it last night cause I got drunk. Yeah, it's funny. Um, yeah. What else would I do? What other,
- 55:10what other things happen in that movie there was love wait so that's not funny not yet does does
- 55:18rose get on the door it's not a door but yes rose gets on yeah okay i would have it like
- 55:26be a window no i would a screen door so just she she sinks
- 55:33I would have like Jack be like very aloof and like playing it cool with her
- 55:40and like playing hard to get the whole time.
- 55:42And he's like making jokes about her being overweight and everyone,
- 55:46like anyone who hears him like make jokes like that or like whatever Rose hears
- 55:49and she's, they're always like, what are you talking about?
- 55:51Like I'm not overweight.
- 55:52And then at the very end when she gets on the door, it just splits in half.
- 55:57See?
- 55:57And then he's like, told you.
- 56:00I'd rather die than be with a fat bitch like you.
- 56:03we can't let you on the boat
- 56:05you're fat Rose
- 56:07oh yeah
- 56:09um
- 56:10yeah
- 56:12I
- 56:13when the scene where he's drawing her
- 56:17I uh like
- 56:19she's like I would have it be all completely
- 56:21the same except where he turns it around and it's just a stick
- 56:23figure with
- 56:24yeah
- 56:25not another tea movie kind of already
- 56:29did that but oh they did yeah
- 56:31when she's painting.
- 56:32Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 56:35If it's good, reuse it.
- 56:37Everything's stolen.
- 56:39Yeah.
- 56:39What if the boat that rescues them
- 56:43just drives through all the passengers?
- 56:47Yeah.
- 56:50It's just...
- 56:51This actually sounds like a really good spoof movie.
- 56:54Yeah, it kind of does.
- 56:55This, like, casino or something?
- 56:57Like, this could be a really good movie.
- 56:59Yeah.
- 56:59is that the one with Jay Moore
- 57:02Casino? Mafia
- 57:04Mafia is a very funny movie
- 57:06I don't know if I've seen it
- 57:07it's good it's a parody of mob movies
- 57:10or a spoof of mob movies but
- 57:12yeah
- 57:13what if
- 57:15as like the ship's
- 57:18filling with water like the first
- 57:20class passengers are like getting buckets of water
- 57:22and throwing it into steerage
- 57:23and steerage is like taking water
- 57:26and trying to throw it into the first class cabin
- 57:28so the boat's just like yeah it's like seesawing yeah and then like when we cut back to that later
- 57:35and it could be like they've turned it into like a competitive sport and like they all have like
- 57:38uniforms on or whatever it's like that uh what's that show where that's it yeah yeah i don't know
- 57:45why i felt thank you baby well as uh as billy zane's trying to get onto one of the the lifeboats
- 57:52instead of you know he picks up a kid and he's like please i gotta like take her right she's
- 57:58all i have in the world yeah um it's a black child it's funny because he would never no it's
- 58:08just running because it would be clearly not his child yeah yeah what i was going for yes it's a
- 58:13black adult man well that's what i was that's what i was gonna say he keeps picking up different
- 58:18people but they're like adults it's like please please it's like do you believe me now uh and
- 58:23then like the guy that's in charge of the boats eventually he picks that guy up and he's like
- 58:26you're all I have in the world.
- 58:27Let me go.
- 58:29Okay.
- 58:29You know that scene really quick where he is mad at Rose at the,
- 58:33toward the end.
- 58:33And he like shakes her and he says,
- 58:36Oh,
- 58:36I forgot a rat.
- 58:38Yeah.
- 58:39I always thought he said a whore couldn't cut a rat.
- 58:43And I was like,
- 58:44I don't get it.
- 58:46Like,
- 58:47I don't know.
- 58:47I just didn't understand.
- 58:48And then one day I was,
- 58:49I asked someone and I found out the real words.
- 58:52I'm like,
- 58:53Oh,
- 58:53that makes more sense.
- 58:53What is Victor Garber's character? I know he's in it, but I've only seen
- 58:59like snippets of it. I've never seen the full movie. He's he's like the
- 59:03architect, right? Wasn't he? Yeah, he's the guy that designed the boat
- 59:06because he like took her around and he like it very safe Rose like which I sorry if if the guy that designed a car insisted on taking me around the car and being like it really safe i promise get in it really
- 59:21i would be like why are you telling me this i i'm gonna be the only car on the road for thousands
- 59:27of miles i didn't think it wasn't gonna be safe until you said get in it's safe i swear like now
- 59:34I'm now I'm worried about it.
- 59:36Oh,
- 59:36I thought of something else you could do.
- 59:37Yeah.
- 59:38Um,
- 59:40when it's hit and it's leaking,
- 59:44someone could show up with flex tape.
- 59:49Yeah.
- 59:49You know,
- 59:50they just in the background,
- 59:52like people are fleeing and then someone's just like frantically trying to
- 59:55duct tape.
- 59:56Not just anyone,
- 59:56the guy from the commercials.
- 59:57Oh guys,
- 59:58guys,
- 59:58when the ship gets hit,
- 1:00:00instead of it filling up with water and sinking,
- 1:00:02it should be like,
- 1:00:03like a camera shot reveals that there was a tire under the ship the whole
- 1:00:06time.
- 1:00:07And then the tire is just slowly letting out air.
- 1:00:11What if the iceberg under the water was holding keys?
- 1:00:18So it's like,
- 1:00:18it's keying the car.
- 1:00:20Like,
- 1:00:20yeah,
- 1:00:20yeah,
- 1:00:21yeah,
- 1:00:22yeah.
- 1:00:25The iceberg of the ocean does the damage of the ocean.
- 1:00:32Yeah.
- 1:00:32The jewelry could be Cracker Box jewelry.
- 1:00:34Cracker Jack's, I meant.
- 1:00:36Cracker Jack's jewelry.
- 1:00:37Yeah.
- 1:00:37Where shit.
- 1:00:38She like survives and goes to have it appraised
- 1:00:40and it's like glass.
- 1:00:43Yeah.
- 1:00:45And she's got a communicable disease from Jack.
- 1:00:49Yeah, because she is a bit of a tramp.
- 1:00:51She only did two guys on a ship.
- 1:00:53You know, the average sexual count of people on ships
- 1:00:56is so high.
- 1:00:58Is it?
- 1:00:58She only did.
- 1:00:59She probably didn't even do Cal
- 1:01:00because I think they're waiting till marriage, right?
- 1:01:02That seems like the thing to do back then.
- 1:01:04I don't know.
- 1:01:05Wasn't she staying in his room?
- 1:01:07Yeah, but she had a corset on.
- 1:01:09You know, if you start horny by the time you get a corset off,
- 1:01:12you're not horny anymore.
- 1:01:13That's true.
- 1:01:14That's science.
- 1:01:15Yeah, it's corset math.
- 1:01:16Yeah.
- 1:01:21Let's give her a mole, by the way.
- 1:01:22By the way, what a shitty thing to do.
- 1:01:25Drop that necklace into the ocean.
- 1:01:26That still pisses me off.
- 1:01:27That is so stupid.
- 1:01:29Yeah.
- 1:01:29You know who could use that money?
- 1:01:30Me.
- 1:01:31Anyone.
- 1:01:32literally anyone could use your granddaughter i've seen this on this is like not a new idea
- 1:01:35but it's like your granddaughter fucking wield you to the ship yes to do all this shit obviously
- 1:01:41we see it's like a normal house she lives in she's not rich yeah no it's just the most selfish
- 1:01:47person on earth i guess it tracks she was pretty selfish on that boat too she was so yeah but you
- 1:01:54made her funny i don't know she's the funny one i think we i make everybody else around her funny
- 1:02:01she's she's annoying yeah maybe when she is thinking about jumping off the ship she does
- 1:02:10yeah yeah
- 1:02:11but then she gets yoinked back because jack put one of those little backpacks with a leash on her
- 1:02:18yeah yeah her hair's wet yeah yeah you wet hair bitch yeah you'll give it a fat or wet
- 1:02:28but he yanks her back and then she's like oh thank god i changed my mind and then it snaps
- 1:02:34because she's oh your fat ass is too big for this thing i don't know she has to ride like a dolphin
- 1:02:39back to the ship no she has to she has to keep coming back like that can't be how she dies
- 1:02:43she keeps almost dying because she fat she needs to die the way you established which is the door splits in half Yeah that the final Yeah Yeah Yeah good All right
- 1:02:57Well, I think we made it funny.
- 1:02:58You did?
- 1:02:59You did?
- 1:02:59Guys, I really want to write this now.
- 1:03:02Don't steal this idea.
- 1:03:04Listeners.
- 1:03:04Listeners, we're going to write this.
- 1:03:05You're an audience.
- 1:03:06You're not a generator of content.
- 1:03:10Yeah.
- 1:03:11You're a listener.
- 1:03:13Your ears.
- 1:03:17All right, well.
- 1:03:19Your cochlea.
- 1:03:20Your thumbs and ears.
- 1:03:23We're all thumbs.
- 1:03:24New slogan.
- 1:03:25No, where do you thumb her?
- 1:03:28What if there was a group of thumbers on the Titanic?
- 1:03:32Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:34Cross promotion.
- 1:03:35We can write that in.
- 1:03:36Yeah.
- 1:03:37Yeah.
- 1:03:37It's just a bunch.
- 1:03:38No, maybe as the ship is sinking.
- 1:03:40One cabin being shared by four weirdos.
- 1:03:42No, I'm thinking as the ship's going down,
- 1:03:43a faster ship goes by with all the thumbers.
- 1:03:47We got a great deal.
- 1:03:48Yeah.
- 1:03:50Great.
- 1:03:51Well, look for this in theaters.
- 1:03:53I'm guessing summer 2027?
- 1:03:55Oh, yeah.
- 1:03:55Summer is a great time for a comedy.
- 1:03:58And we'll fast track this.
- 1:04:00The studios, oh, my God, I'm already getting a call.
- 1:04:02Well, with digital filming these days,
- 1:04:04this doesn't take years like it used to.
- 1:04:05No, exactly.
- 1:04:07Not that we don't want to act fast,
- 1:04:08but should we push it to summer 29?
- 1:04:11So that way it's 30 years after the original.
- 1:04:15Wait.
- 1:04:15Wasn't it?
- 1:04:16Wasn't it 19?
- 1:04:16no it was like 96
- 1:04:18that sounds right
- 1:04:20so we should have done it this year 97 sounds good
- 1:04:23no it is it was 97
- 1:04:2430 years later yes

- 1:04:32anything they would love to be
- 1:04:34a part of this they would love to be a part of this yeah
- 1:04:36cool
- 1:04:37one other thing I just thought of the guy that didn't
- 1:04:43get the ticket to the Titanic in that
- 1:04:44poker game, whatever, and it's like his buddy or whatever.
- 1:04:47Hit by a car.
- 1:04:48No, I want him swimming along next to the Titanic the whole time.
- 1:04:51So like every now and again, we just like look down and he's just like,
- 1:04:54he's got a little snorkel.
- 1:04:57Like, are you sure there's not room with there for me?
- 1:04:58No, sorry.
- 1:04:59You need a ticket.
- 1:05:01All right.
- 1:05:02Well, not to reveal too much of the movie.
- 1:05:05No, there's still surprises to be.
- 1:05:06It's going to be July 4th weekend is going to be a huge, huge hit.
- 1:05:11Yeah.
- 1:05:11Get your ticket.
- 1:05:12You'll get discounts as sizzlers.
- 1:05:13You get discounts on tickets.
- 1:05:14And the captain may or may not be a dog.
- 1:05:16Stay tuned.
- 1:05:18A little dog in a captain's hat?
- 1:05:20Yeah.
- 1:05:20Maybe.
- 1:05:21Why do you think we hit the iceberg?
- 1:05:22Because it looked like a cat.
- 1:05:23And he's always got two ladies around because he's not just a dog.
- 1:05:26He's a dog.
- 1:05:27He's a dog.
- 1:05:28Yeah.
- 1:05:28All right.
- 1:05:29This is going to be great.
- 1:05:30Yeah.
- 1:05:31All right.
- 1:05:31Summer 2027.
- 1:05:33Be there.
- 1:05:35Summer 2027.
- 1:05:36Summer.
- 1:05:38Joe.
- 1:05:39Yes.
- 1:05:40That wraps up the big question.
- 1:05:42The big question.
- 1:05:44Okay.
- 1:05:44it's time for our final bit of business.

- 1:06:17Well, for whatever it's worth, I don't think I have your word.
- 1:06:23Okay.

- 1:06:54That's my word.
- 1:06:56I was like, fuck.
- 1:06:58Because you saw me write it down?
- 1:06:59Yeah.
- 1:07:00Well, you wrote down, I mean, obviously you would write down both of them to guess both,
- 1:07:03but you wrote down appendectomy at first and I was like, maybe she won't guess.
- 1:07:07No, no, I'm guessing both.
