Transcript
- 0:02Speaker 1: We are on big 98.7 Instagram live.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Angie is right now.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:08Speaker 1: As there is a world record with you, I would
- 0:10Speaker 1: like to attempt to break.
- 0:12Speaker 2: Okay.
- 0:12Speaker 1: The world record, the unofficial, excuse me, this isn't even
- 0:15Speaker 1: an official world record.
- 0:16Speaker 2: So I might be just making this up.
- 0:18Speaker 1: The unofficial world record for the longest running card game
- 0:23Speaker 1: of war is 43 hours and 35 minutes. Now, if
- 0:28Speaker 1: you don't know the card game war, basically Angie has
- 0:31Speaker 1: a pile of cards. I have a pile of cards.
- 0:34Speaker 1: We each have three random ones drawn out and we
- 0:37Speaker 1: are going to pick a random card. Whoever has the
- 0:39Speaker 1: highest card wins. wins those six cards. And we're going
- 0:42Speaker 1: to do one hand a day. And what we're going
- 0:45Speaker 1: to want you to do at some point is get
- 0:47Speaker 1: involved and let Angie know which card in the pile
- 0:51Speaker 1: she should pick.
- 0:52Speaker 4: Exactly. So you can call in and give like pick card.
- 0:56Speaker 4: on the left.
- 0:57Speaker 1: You know what I mean? You can text in 701-280-1987.
- 1:00Speaker 1: You can chime in on the Instagram live, which is
- 1:04Speaker 1: once again, big 987 FM. If you go on Instagram
- 1:07Speaker 1: right now, you'll see Angie's beautiful face.
- 1:09Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:10Speaker 2: And, uh, that's nice.
- 1:11Speaker 4: I said, yeah, like that's.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Angie. Are you ready?
- 1:15Speaker 1: As we attempt the Guinness world record of the longest
- 1:18Speaker 1: running card game of war. That is not an official record.
- 1:22Speaker 4: Uh, yeah, absolutely. Do you want me to choose first?
- 1:24Speaker 2: Well, Let me set the scene for you here. This
- 1:30Speaker 2: is big stuff. Oh, this is high stakes.
- 1:31Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Angie, if you would like to go first, draw your card.
- 1:36Speaker 1: We'll see what you have.
- 1:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:39Speaker 4: I'm going to go with the one in the middle.
- 1:45Speaker 5: Okay.
- 1:45Speaker 4: I feel like the one in the middle. You know what?
- 1:47Speaker 4: In honor of you, you middle child.
- 1:49Speaker 2: That's right.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I will go with the card in the middle, and
- 1:52Speaker 4: I show you, too.
- 1:53Speaker 2: Yep.
- 1:53Speaker 5: You show me.
- 1:54Speaker 4: Okay. All right. The nine of clubs.
- 1:57Speaker 5: Nine.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Okay. That's a good start.
- 1:59Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:00Speaker 5: All right. Nine.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Well, you went with the middle, which I was going
- 2:03Speaker 1: to go with, but I am going to go with
- 2:04Speaker 1: the one on the farthest left because I am left-handed.
- 2:07Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:08Speaker 1: I'll hand you the card. I'm not even going to
- 2:09Speaker 1: look at it.
- 2:10Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:11Speaker 5: All right.
- 2:11Speaker 4: I'm going to reveal.
- 2:12Speaker 2: What is it?
- 2:12Speaker 4: Reveal. The card.
- 2:14Speaker 3: An ace.
- 2:15Speaker 4: All right.
- 2:18Speaker 2: I am today's winner.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I will take my six cards, and tomorrow... We'll run
- 2:23Speaker 1: it back with three new cards apiece.
- 2:25Speaker 4: Okay, wait, quick question. Does Ace really mean the best
- 2:29Speaker 4: or couldn't it just mean one? Like, shouldn't we have
- 2:31Speaker 4: determined at the beginning if Ace is always the winner?
- 2:35Speaker 2: Ace is the highest card in the game of war.
- 2:37Speaker 1: We play again tomorrow here on Big 98.7.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Big 98.7.
- 2:44Speaker 3: Celebrating life's little victories. Every morning we practice gratitude on
- 2:49Speaker 3: Big 98.7. If I could, I would.
- 2:52Speaker 2: Keep this feeling in a plastic jar. Bust it out
- 2:55Speaker 2: whenever someone's acting hard.
- 2:57Speaker 3: Share your little victories with us at 701-280-1987. Kids, I
- 2:59Speaker 3: also needed a win that day.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Angie, do you have a little victory for us today?
- 3:08Speaker 4: Temperature be damned, because I swapped out all of my
- 3:13Speaker 4: summer clothes for fall clothes in my closet.
- 3:16Speaker 2: Oh, you're playing with fire. It's about to be 90 degrees.
- 3:18Speaker 4: I know. And you know what? I don't care. I
- 3:21Speaker 4: just it. It takes a lot for me to ever
- 3:24Speaker 4: have the motivation to do, you know, the closet clean
- 3:27Speaker 4: out and the swap out. And I had the motivation randomly.
- 3:31Speaker 4: And I'm like, I got to do it now or
- 3:32Speaker 4: I may never do it.
- 3:34Speaker 3: So.
- 3:35Speaker 4: The closet is tidy. All of the summer stuff that
- 3:38Speaker 4: I have obviously committed to not wearing for the rest
- 3:42Speaker 4: of summer. I mean, there's only a couple of weeks left. Technically,
- 3:45Speaker 4: fall gets here September 22nd, right? So, yeah, everything is
- 3:49Speaker 4: now fall wardrobe.
- 3:51Speaker 2: How many clothes do you have that you're doing a
- 3:53Speaker 2: swap in, swap out?
- 3:55Speaker 5: A lot.
- 3:56Speaker 4: Listen, I know that when I... come to work wearing
- 3:59Speaker 4: the same three rags, you might think she ain't got
- 4:02Speaker 4: no clothes, but I'm a different person outside these walls.
- 4:07Speaker 2: Oh, okay.
- 4:07Speaker 4: Yeah, so I did have to do a lot of
- 4:10Speaker 4: swapping out and a lot of, you know, figure out
- 4:12Speaker 4: what I'm going to donate, what's going to sit in
- 4:14Speaker 4: a trash bag for three months before I ever go
- 4:17Speaker 4: actually donate it. But yeah, I got that done, so
- 4:20Speaker 4: I'm really proud of myself.
- 4:21Speaker 2: Do you want to know what my swap out is?
- 4:24Speaker 4: What?
- 4:25Speaker 1: I take my shorts and they go on the bottom
- 4:29Speaker 1: of the pants.
- 4:31Speaker 4: Wow.
- 4:31Speaker 2: That's my big swap out. That's your big swap out. Right.
- 4:35Speaker 2: My little victory is actually Angie. Thanks to you. You
- 4:39Speaker 2: made me the hubby of the day yesterday.
- 4:42Speaker 4: How?
- 4:43Speaker 1: We were at Casa Mexico for our weekly lunch over there,
- 4:47Speaker 1: which you, by the way, have a chance to win
- 4:49Speaker 1: a $ 50 certificate to if you get on the Big 98.7
- 4:52Speaker 1: Facebook page. Comment the word that we ask you to comment,
- 4:55Speaker 1: and you could be winning $ 50 to use at Casa Mexico.
- 4:58Speaker 2: But Angie.
- 5:00Speaker 1: was not really going to eat some food. She was
- 5:03Speaker 1: going to order something and then let me take it
- 5:06Speaker 1: home to my wife so I could be the lunchtime
- 5:10Speaker 1: slash dinnertime slash leftovers hero.
- 5:13Speaker 2: Yes. And I did exactly that.
- 5:16Speaker 1: I brought her that chimichanga you didn't want or didn't
- 5:19Speaker 1: eat or whatever. And I ended up being the king
- 5:22Speaker 1: of the house that day.
- 5:23Speaker 4: I forgot I did that. How great for me. I'm
- 5:26Speaker 4: the best husband to your wife.
- 5:28Speaker 2: It's incredible. It is incredible.
- 5:31Speaker 1: Now, I didn't ask you this yesterday, I don't think,
- 5:33Speaker 1: but why didn't you eat lunch?
- 5:36Speaker 4: Listen, bro, I'm going to the Bahamas for Christmas.
- 5:40Speaker 5: Okay.
- 5:40Speaker 4: And I'm trying to wear as little clothing as possible.
- 5:44Speaker 4: And right now... If I ate a chimichanga, that goal
- 5:48Speaker 4: gets farther away.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Instead of running towards the goal, you're turning around and
- 5:54Speaker 2: running away from it?
- 5:55Speaker 4: Exactly. So I was like, let me skip. I did
- 5:58Speaker 4: eat the chips and salsa because it's incredible. Chips and
- 6:01Speaker 4: salsa is dangerous.
- 6:03Speaker 5: It is.
- 6:03Speaker 4: And they're really good at Casa Mexico.
- 6:05Speaker 2: But yeah, I had.
- 6:06Speaker 4: To lock in.
- 6:07Speaker 2: They have some of my favorite salsa I've ever had.
- 6:09Speaker 1: It's not so good. It's not like overly chunky. I'm
- 6:12Speaker 1: not a huge fan of like massive chunks in salsa.
- 6:16Speaker 1: I don't mind it, but I don't love it. And
- 6:18Speaker 1: it's not overly chunky there. It is very addicting to
- 6:22Speaker 1: just sit and dip and eat, sit, dip and eat.
- 6:24Speaker 4: It's like the baby bear's porridge. Of salsa. That's right.
- 6:28Speaker 4: It's just right.
- 6:29Speaker 2: That's right.
- 6:30Speaker 5: Drop it. Drop it. Big 98.7.
- 6:32Speaker 4: What do you consider the worst movie?
- 6:39Speaker 3: 701-280-1987.
- 6:39Speaker 4: Text us. Call us. I watched the worst movie of
- 6:43Speaker 4: all time. Of all time. With my family yesterday. And
- 6:48Speaker 4: I can't get that time back. Listen to this trailer.
- 6:52Speaker 4: For the worst movie. It's a cinematic dumpster fire.
- 6:58Speaker 5: Hey, boy.
- 6:59Speaker 2: You like basketball? Mom, do you remember when I.
- 7:07Speaker 4: Used to have a hamster?
- 7:11Speaker 5: You want another hamster?
- 7:15Speaker 2: Not exactly. Hey, boy, come again. Come again.
- 7:24Speaker 5: No way.
- 7:26Speaker 4: Bet you won't find anything in there that says a
- 7:29Speaker 4: dog can't play.
- 7:30Speaker 5: He's right.
- 7:31Speaker 2: Ain't no rule that says a dog can't play basketball.
- 7:34Speaker 4: Yeah!
- 7:37Speaker 2: You she-devil. Are you kidding me?
- 7:41Speaker 4: Air Bud, the worst movie ever? Yes.
- 7:44Speaker 2: You don't like watching an adorable dog help lead his
- 7:47Speaker 2: team to victory and camaraderie?
- 7:50Speaker 4: No, because that's ridiculous. The premise of this movie is
- 7:56Speaker 4: the most insane thing that I've ever... Who wrote this?
- 8:00Speaker 4: Who wrote it? I feel like there are elementary school
- 8:03Speaker 4: kids who could come up with way better movies than
- 8:05Speaker 4: this garbage. I'm Matt. It was difficult to watch. First
- 8:10Speaker 4: of all, it was the 90s. So everybody had a
- 8:13Speaker 4: bowl cut and that just was very dramatizing to me.
- 8:18Speaker 4: But it's so stupid. And I had, I mean, I
- 8:21Speaker 4: knew of Air Bud, obviously, since I was a child,
- 8:24Speaker 4: but I never actually really sat and watched the whole thing.
- 8:26Speaker 4: Air Bud was one of those that when it was
- 8:29Speaker 4: a rainy day at school and you had this, it
- 8:32Speaker 4: was too pouring rain, they would make you stay inside
- 8:35Speaker 4: at lunchtime and they'd wheel in the big cart with
- 8:37Speaker 4: the TV.
- 8:37Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 4: I guess we're watching Air Bud and I never really
- 8:41Speaker 4: paid attention because I thought... A dog playing basketball?
- 8:44Speaker 5: Stupid.
- 8:45Speaker 4: And so the fact that everybody loved this movie and
- 8:50Speaker 4: it's getting a sequel, Gabe.
- 8:52Speaker 1: It is cinema masterpiece.
- 8:54Speaker 4: No, it's horrible. And so yesterday with the family, we're
- 8:57Speaker 4: trying to find like, what are we going to watch together?
- 8:59Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 9:00Speaker 4: And it was like, well, might as well see Air
- 9:02Speaker 4: Bud because I never actually really watched it. What a
- 9:04Speaker 4: waste of time for everyone involved. And I would like
- 9:08Speaker 4: to also say I have watched all three Beverly Hills Chihuahuas. OK,
- 9:15Speaker 4: so it's not to say that I don't like movies
- 9:17Speaker 4: that have dogs in them. It's just it's dumb. It's dumb.
- 9:22Speaker 4: On no planet would any middle school basketball team be like,
- 9:27Speaker 4: that's fine. You can have a dog. That's not real.
- 9:29Speaker 1: Oh, that's where we suspend belief. You watch Harry Potter
- 9:32Speaker 1: and Game of Thrones. You think a dog making baskets
- 9:36Speaker 1: is where we.
- 9:37Speaker 2: Draw the line?
- 9:38Speaker 4: It's the worst movie.
- 9:41Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 9:42Speaker 4: Who liked it besides you?
- 9:44Speaker 5: Did.
- 9:44Speaker 4: Does anybody else actually like this movie?
- 9:47Speaker 2: Everyone likes this movie.
- 9:49Speaker 4: I'm in the minority here.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Do you remember that time where you said that Phil
- 9:53Speaker 1: Collins' Tarzan soundtrack was the worst soundtrack ever? And then
- 9:57Speaker 1: I went around this building and asked what were the
- 9:59Speaker 1: best Disney soundtracks and everyone said Tarzan.
- 10:03Speaker 4: Everyone is a fool.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I tell you a fool.
- 10:08Speaker 5: 701-280-1987.
- 10:09Speaker 2: What's the worst movie you've ever seen? And why is
- 10:11Speaker 2: it not Air Bud?
- 10:12Speaker 5: It's Air Bud.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Which should be in the Movie Hall of Fame.
- 10:15Speaker 4: Wow.
- 10:16Speaker 5: Traffic! Big 98.7.
- 10:19Speaker 3: In the world of rules and gray areas, one morning
- 10:21Speaker 3: show dares to ask the hard questions.
- 10:23Speaker 5: We both know you're guilty.
- 10:25Speaker 2: He's guilty. Is it legal?
- 10:27Speaker 5: You're guilty of the worst crime of all.
- 10:30Speaker 3: On Big 98.7.
- 10:31Speaker 1: Now, it is only September, but we are reaching that
- 10:37Speaker 1: point in the Midwest and around the country, I guess,
- 10:40Speaker 1: where deer are going to be moving around.
- 10:42Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:42Speaker 1: Be safe while driving. There's always, sadly, accidents involving deer.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You always see them on the side of the road
- 10:50Speaker 1: and what have you. So just be safe and be
- 10:52Speaker 1: mindful of that as we get really closer to October, November,
- 10:56Speaker 1: and December. But let's say you are driving and you
- 10:59Speaker 1: happen to hit a deer. And maybe you're a fan
- 11:03Speaker 1: of venison. Could you take that deer home and eat it?
- 11:08Speaker 2: Okay? Well, the answer is yes, but there is a catch, okay?
- 11:13Speaker 1: In Minnesota, you can claim that deer, but you've got
- 11:15Speaker 1: to contact law enforcement or the state patrol right away.
- 11:19Speaker 1: They'll issue a free permit on the spot, and then
- 11:22Speaker 1: it's all yours. North Dakota basically works the same way.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Game and Fish requires a free possession permit before you
- 11:28Speaker 1: touch it. Call a local game warden or law enforcement
- 11:31Speaker 1: to get it. The big warning here in both states,
- 11:34Speaker 1: Minnesota and North Dakota. If you sadly happen to hit
- 11:37Speaker 1: a deer and you're thinking, well, I mean, I guess
- 11:40Speaker 1: I'll try to bring it home or something. You cannot
- 11:43Speaker 1: just toss that right in the back of your truck
- 11:45Speaker 1: and off you go.
- 11:47Speaker 2: Okay. You do have to, you have.
- 11:49Speaker 1: To make one of those phone calls first in Minnesota
- 11:52Speaker 1: and North Dakota. If you don't and you're caught, you
- 11:55Speaker 1: could get a misdemeanor. So bottom line, if you hit
- 11:59Speaker 1: a deer, sadly, of course, but you do want to
- 12:02Speaker 1: keep it. If you make the call to the appropriate
- 12:05Speaker 1: authorities first, It's all yours.
- 12:07Speaker 4: That's so wild. So if I had the deer in
- 12:10Speaker 4: my car and I did not make the call and
- 12:12Speaker 4: like a police officer just saw me rolling away with
- 12:15Speaker 4: it and thought, I'm just going to check this out.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:18Speaker 4: If I didn't have the proper thing, I would get
- 12:20Speaker 4: a misdemeanor.
- 12:21Speaker 3: 1000%.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:21Speaker 1: So just be careful. Obviously don't be driving around trying
- 12:26Speaker 1: to hit deer. Well, yeah, that's terrible.
- 12:28Speaker 2: That's not the point.
- 12:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:29Speaker 1: But it is interesting that if an accident does happen
- 12:33Speaker 1: like that, there is a way for you to legally
- 12:36Speaker 1: take that deer home. Sometimes, you know, the things you
- 12:38Speaker 1: learn on the big 98.7 morning show. Big 98.7.
- 12:44Speaker 2: My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.
- 12:48Speaker 1: I discovered I might have been doing something wrong my
- 12:50Speaker 1: entire life yesterday.
- 12:52Speaker 4: That tracks for you.
- 12:55Speaker 2: I don't see the big deal. What?
- 12:58Speaker 1: I went to make some cereal for myself yesterday. I'm
- 13:01Speaker 1: not a big cereal guy, but my wife enjoys a
- 13:04Speaker 1: bowl of cereal from time to time. And I thought,
- 13:06Speaker 1: you know what, self? It's been a minute since you
- 13:09Speaker 1: had some honey nut Cheerios. Let's dive on into the
- 13:11Speaker 1: box here.
- 13:11Speaker 4: When the craving hits, man.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 13:13Speaker 1: And so I went to make the cereal. I got
- 13:16Speaker 1: the bowl. I got the milk. I got the cereal.
- 13:19Speaker 1: I pour the milk into the bowl and then I
- 13:21Speaker 1: pour the cereal on top. And my wife said exactly
- 13:26Speaker 1: what you just said right there. She went, what are
- 13:28Speaker 1: you doing? Like I had just blown up the house.
- 13:31Speaker 4: You put the milk in the bowl before you put
- 13:33Speaker 4: the cereal.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe not like a hundred times out of a hundred,
- 13:38Speaker 1: but it's really just whichever one's in my hand first.
- 13:40Speaker 1: So if I happen to have the milk first, I'll
- 13:42Speaker 1: pour the milk in the bowl first.
- 13:44Speaker 4: That is insane behavior.
- 13:45Speaker 2: Is this really that big of a thing?
- 13:48Speaker 4: I'm sorry. You put... This is so weird to me.
- 13:52Speaker 4: When you make a thing, when you put the bowl
- 13:55Speaker 4: of cereal together, the thing that determines your order is
- 13:58Speaker 4: what you're holding?
- 13:59Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just whatever's around. Whatever....
- 14:03Speaker 4: You had in your hand first yeah that is the
- 14:07Speaker 4: most bizarre thing i've ever heard because i've heard of
- 14:09Speaker 4: people i've heard of sociopaths doing milk but now that
- 14:14Speaker 4: i know even your process that's weird literally i cannot
- 14:19Speaker 4: imagine anybody who does this that is not.
- 14:21Speaker 1: You there is no way i am alone on milk
- 14:24Speaker 1: going in cereal first no don't.
- 14:27Speaker 2: You have a kid who does this You know what?
- 14:30Speaker 2: I caught Aiden doing this.
- 14:31Speaker 5: No.
- 14:31Speaker 2: Thank you.
- 14:32Speaker 4: I did catch Aiden doing this a long time ago,
- 14:34Speaker 4: and I corrected him, and he never did it again.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Oh, you nipped that one in the bud?
- 14:37Speaker 5: Yes.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Yeah, okay. Well, am I a sociopath is what we
- 14:41Speaker 2: want to know this morning. 701-280-1987.
- 14:42Speaker 1: This is just so crazy to me. Does the cereal
- 14:48Speaker 1: always have to go in the bowl first, and the
- 14:51Speaker 1: milk goes on top?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Yes. A lot of times, I'll just pour the milk
- 14:55Speaker 2: in there. I'll get the cereal in there. and swish
- 14:57Speaker 2: it around. And if I need a little more milk,
- 14:59Speaker 2: I'll just give it a little top off.
- 15:01Speaker 4: This is so weird because, oh, well, I just happen
- 15:03Speaker 4: to be holding the milk. So I put the milk in.
- 15:05Speaker 4: That is the craziest sentence that you've ever said. And
- 15:08Speaker 4: let me tell you, you say some wild things on
- 15:10Speaker 4: this show because you're a wild boy. But this is
- 15:13Speaker 4: the weirdest thing I've ever heard.
- 15:15Speaker 5: 701-280-1987.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Am I alone in this endeavor on milk can go
- 15:16Speaker 2: in the bowl before the cereal?
- 15:18Speaker 4: If Any of you agree with Gabe, we got to
- 15:27Speaker 4: put y'all on a watch list because you're murderers.
- 15:32Speaker 1: The NFL season kicks off tonight. Pun intended, I guess.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And with the NFL, fantasy football has grown in popularity
- 15:48Speaker 1: by about 80,000 percent.
- 15:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:51Speaker 1: People have multiple teams. They're in multiple leagues. They have
- 15:54Speaker 1: multiple drafts. They play with their work friends. They play
- 15:57Speaker 1: with their childhood friends. Everyone seems to play fantasy football.
- 16:00Speaker 4: My ex quite literally on six. Six different teams that won.
- 16:04Speaker 2: That's insane.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 16:06Speaker 2: That's too many teams for me.
- 16:07Speaker 1: I used to play fantasy football back in the day
- 16:10Speaker 1: with my buddies, and then I really just hated when
- 16:13Speaker 1: I would have a player on my starting roster, and
- 16:16Speaker 1: they were playing against the Vikes. So part of me
- 16:19Speaker 1: is sitting there. I felt myself kind of cheering when
- 16:22Speaker 1: they would make a big play or score. And I just,
- 16:25Speaker 1: I can't do that anymore.
- 16:26Speaker 4: Too much skin in the game.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I can't do that to my Vikes.
- 16:29Speaker 4: Okay.
- 16:29Speaker 1: They have needed my help for all of these years.
- 16:31Speaker 1: And sadly, I think they need a little more.
- 16:34Speaker 2: But I am out on fantasy football.
- 16:37Speaker 4: Oh, this season.
- 16:39Speaker 2: No, yeah, I haven't played fantasy football in years.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Like, were you a winner or were you always losing?
- 16:45Speaker 1: I was always like middle of the pack to maybe
- 16:47Speaker 1: in the top seven.
- 16:50Speaker 4: So when someone was like the dead last loser... What
- 16:53Speaker 4: was their consequence?
- 16:54Speaker 1: You know, we never put together a big, giant consequence
- 16:57Speaker 1: for anybody. Those have gotten really, really popular now with
- 17:00Speaker 1: social media and videos and people sharing all these things
- 17:03Speaker 1: they have to do. Getting tattoos, going out and having
- 17:07Speaker 1: to wear something crazy on a night out or whatever
- 17:10Speaker 1: else it comes with.
- 17:11Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 17:12Speaker 1: And so we wanted to know, ladies, if you have
- 17:15Speaker 1: a husband. who is in a fantasy football league. If
- 17:19Speaker 1: he finishes in dead last, what would you like to
- 17:22Speaker 1: make him do?
- 17:23Speaker 2: 701-280-1987.
- 17:25Speaker 1: Now, ladies, if you have your own fantasy football team,
- 17:28Speaker 1: what is your punishment for being dead last in your league?
- 17:32Speaker 2: Let us know.
- 17:32Speaker 3: 701-280-1987.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I really like this one from Jamie.
- 17:38Speaker 1: All right, so Angie, let's say I played fantasy football
- 17:40Speaker 1: and I finished dead last. Jamie thinks that my wife, Corey,
- 17:45Speaker 1: who I'm not even kidding, has maybe watched a grand
- 17:48Speaker 1: total of 17 seconds of football in her life, should
- 17:52Speaker 1: get to draft my team next year.
- 17:54Speaker 4: Oh, that's good.
- 17:56Speaker 2: That's really good.
- 17:56Speaker 4: That's like a long game.
- 17:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 17:59Speaker 1: Now, it's not really a punishment if your wife is
- 18:01Speaker 1: super into football. You'll be like, oh, I'll be all right.
- 18:03Speaker 1: My team will be fine. But if it's my situation
- 18:06Speaker 1: where I don't know if Corey can name five football players.
- 18:08Speaker 4: Yeah, honestly, even if it was like Angie gets to do,
- 18:12Speaker 4: I would draft people based on attractiveness.
- 18:14Speaker 2: Right.
- 18:14Speaker 4: So you'd probably still lose.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Right.
- 18:16Speaker 1: Julia said, take pictures of and post all the for
- 18:20Speaker 1: sale items I keep procrastinating on.
- 18:23Speaker 4: I like this.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Megan Hubby do a chore she hasn't gotten around to
- 18:27Speaker 1: just doing yet.
- 18:28Speaker 4: If Mikey was playing fantasy football, I think he would
- 18:33Speaker 4: be last. I think he would not win. I don't
- 18:35Speaker 4: think he follows along with football like that. I would
- 18:39Speaker 4: have him do the dishes the way I like dishes
- 18:44Speaker 4: to be done.
- 18:44Speaker 2: For what, like a month or something?
- 18:46Speaker 4: Yeah, for a month, which means he would have to
- 18:48Speaker 4: wash all of the dishes by hand and then load
- 18:52Speaker 4: them in the dishwasher and run the sanitizing cycle.
- 18:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I hate that. That would drive me nuts.
- 18:59Speaker 4: Well, win your fantasy draft.
- 19:01Speaker 2: Don't get dead last.
- 19:03Speaker 3: 701-280-1987.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Does your fantasy football league have a punishment for being
- 19:08Speaker 1: dead last? Or, ladies, if your hubby is a fantasy footballer,
- 19:14Speaker 1: what would you want to make him do if he
- 19:15Speaker 1: got dead last?
- 19:16Speaker 4: Oh, my gosh.
- 19:17Speaker 5: Wait.
- 19:17Speaker 4: I just had a brilliant idea. Let us know, like,
- 19:21Speaker 4: if you're playing fantasy football and if you get last,
- 19:26Speaker 4: Whatever it is that you have to do, Gabe has
- 19:28Speaker 4: to do it, too.
- 19:29Speaker 5: Oh, yeah.
- 19:30Speaker 2: This sounds great.
- 19:33Speaker 5: Yeah. Yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 4: The worst movie, according to myself, is Air Bud. And
- 19:43Speaker 4: apparently you do not agree, Gabe. There are several people
- 19:47Speaker 4: who do not agree that airbud is the worst movie
- 19:50Speaker 4: so if it's not airbud what is the worst.
- 19:54Speaker 1: Movie before we get into those i do have some
- 19:57Speaker 1: good news for you you're not alone on this island
- 20:00Speaker 1: of i don't know shame.
- 20:04Speaker 2: We had Matt who said, Air Bud was horrible. I
- 20:09Speaker 2: agree with Angie. That's right.
- 20:11Speaker 1: And earlier I had told Angie, I was like, what?
- 20:12Speaker 1: What are you not like Homeward Bound next? Cute dogs
- 20:16Speaker 1: aren't doing.
- 20:16Speaker 2: It for you.
- 20:17Speaker 1: And he said, how dare you compare it to Homeward Bound?
- 20:21Speaker 5: Okay.
- 20:22Speaker 4: I think Homeward Bound is way better. It's leaps and
- 20:26Speaker 4: bounds better than Air Bud. I just, I don't love
- 20:30Speaker 4: an animal movie. Okay. It's just not like my favorite.
- 20:34Speaker 2: You're a Disney adult.
- 20:36Speaker 4: First of all, wow. Do you hate me? Why would
- 20:39Speaker 4: you call me a Disney adult? That's too far. I'm
- 20:42Speaker 4: not a Disney adult. I don't love animal movies, but
- 20:45Speaker 4: I can appreciate that Homeward Bound has its place right
- 20:49Speaker 4: in the movie land. Air Bud is trash. Anywho, apparently
- 20:54Speaker 4: I'm wrong to most people. So what is the worst?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Movie according to Greg the worst movie is Spaceballs I've
- 21:01Speaker 1: never I don't even know if I've heard of this.
- 21:03Speaker 4: Oh that's like a parody to Star Wars and I
- 21:05Speaker 4: don't think it's terrible.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Okay I love what Desiree excuse me Desiree said and
- 21:10Speaker 1: I forgot about this until she mentioned it and it
- 21:13Speaker 1: makes you go yeah not great Aquaman was up there.
- 21:18Speaker 2: It's an action movie that is really a comedy. My
- 21:21Speaker 2: husband and I went to it, and we were the
- 21:23Speaker 2: only people laughing in the theater, especially when the sharks
- 21:27Speaker 2: with the laser beams come on screen. And I said,
- 21:30Speaker 2: I totally forgot about the laser beams.
- 21:33Speaker 5: Ha ha ha!
- 21:34Speaker 1: And she basically threw an Austin Powers reference over there
- 21:38Speaker 1: to sharks with laser beams.
- 21:40Speaker 4: It is not a good movie. And the only thing
- 21:42Speaker 4: that saves it is that Jason Momoa is hot.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Right.
- 21:46Speaker 4: But other than that, no, it's bad.
- 21:47Speaker 2: Snakes on a Plane, according to Caitlin, I've never seen it.
- 21:50Speaker 5: What? Oh, my gosh.
- 21:51Speaker 1: I've heard horrible things about it, though.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Okay, it's so bad it's good. I will admit that
- 21:56Speaker 4: I saw Snakes on a Plane twice. Three times in theaters.
- 22:00Speaker 2: In theaters.
- 22:01Speaker 4: I paid money out of my pocket to watch that nonsense.
- 22:04Speaker 2: The worst movie I've ever seen. I have two. One
- 22:07Speaker 2: of them, Hot Rod.
- 22:09Speaker 4: Oh, that's terrible.
- 22:10Speaker 2: Which is very bad.
- 22:12Speaker 1: And then the other one starring Mark Wahlberg, who usually
- 22:15Speaker 1: you're getting something pretty solid.
- 22:17Speaker 4: He's a hit or miss.
- 22:18Speaker 2: And well, it's not that the movie was terrible.
- 22:21Speaker 1: I think it's just this thing moved at a snail's pace.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Halfway done. I thought it was over. I was like, oh, yeah.
- 22:28Speaker 2: All right, cool. And then it continues on for another hour.
- 22:32Speaker 2: It's called The Gambler.
- 22:35Speaker 4: I don't even know what this movie is.
- 22:36Speaker 2: He's like a college professor who has like half a
- 22:40Speaker 2: gambling problem, half a pro gambler. And it's just, I mean,
- 22:45Speaker 2: it crawls along to where it's almost like a noir
- 22:48Speaker 2: film at some point. It's terrible.
- 22:50Speaker 4: A stretch there. I forget. Maybe it was early 2000s.
- 22:54Speaker 4: Is that when that came out? Where it was like,
- 22:56Speaker 4: let's make movies about gambling and counting cards.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:00Speaker 4: And there's a few of those and they all are bad.
- 23:03Speaker 1: I think that's when Texas Hold'em got really popular on ESPN.
- 23:06Speaker 4: Okay, I think that's what it was.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 1: And Angie and I both said this one off the air.
- 23:11Speaker 1: There's one redeeming quality of this movie. Becky said, I
- 23:14Speaker 1: thought Master of Disguise was the worst ever, but then
- 23:18Speaker 1: I saw Color Out of Space with Nicolas Cage. Master
- 23:22Speaker 1: of Disguise is goodness awful, except... Turtle, turtle, turtle.
- 23:28Speaker 2: That's the only redeeming quality of that movie. What is
- 23:30Speaker 2: the worst movie you've ever seen?
- 23:34Speaker 5: 701-280-1987.
- 23:35Speaker 2: And why is it not Air Bud?
- 23:37Speaker 5: Big 98.7.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 23:46Speaker 3: Good News on Big 98.7.
- 23:50Speaker 1: A local Fargo nonprofit just hit a huge milestone. Hero,
- 23:55Speaker 1: or a healthcare equipment recycling organization, they have helped nearly 76,000
- 24:01Speaker 1: people since starting back in 96, giving out wheelchairs, hospital beds,
- 24:07Speaker 1: and medical supplies at low or no cost to people
- 24:10Speaker 1: who can't afford them. And it's almost entirely volunteer-powered. One group,
- 24:15Speaker 1: the Wednesday crew, has ladies who've been showing up for
- 24:18Speaker 1: over 24 years. They're celebrating 30 years with their Hero
- 24:23Speaker 1: Bash fundraiser coming up September 17th at Brujala. If you've
- 24:27Speaker 1: got old medical equipment sitting around, they'll take it and
- 24:30Speaker 1: turn it into somebody's second chance, which is such a
- 24:33Speaker 1: good idea.
- 24:34Speaker 2: That's genius.
- 24:35Speaker 1: Yeah, it's something I never thought of until I had
- 24:37Speaker 1: seen this. If you have, you know what you see
- 24:39Speaker 1: a lot of in someone's house?
- 24:40Speaker 4: Crutches.
- 24:41Speaker 2: Crutches. Yes. Exactly right. That, you know, you sprained your
- 24:44Speaker 2: ankle once, broken ankle.
- 24:45Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Couldn't walk and you needed them for a couple months
- 24:47Speaker 1: and then they just sit in your garage.
- 24:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 24:50Speaker 2: There's all kinds of things like that.
- 24:52Speaker 4: So many things. I know that I got a friend
- 24:55Speaker 4: who I know has a wheelchair that no one uses.
- 24:58Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 24:59Speaker 2: It just sits around because you use it when you
- 25:01Speaker 2: need it. When you don't, you don't. Yeah.
- 25:02Speaker 1: So once again, that is coming up September 17th at
- 25:06Speaker 1: brew holla. The world is full of nice people. If
- 25:08Speaker 1: you can't find one, you got to be one. And
- 25:10Speaker 1: don't forget broken crayons. They still color.
