- 0:01Hey everybody, welcome to the good morning from the Chicken
- 0:04Coop podcast. My name is Kim Johnson and I am
- 0:07a mastermindset coach, creative strategist, and also happened to
- 0:10be a farmer. This is my chicken coop and I
- 0:12come out here every day to record a podcast to teach
- 0:16distinctions, possibilities, new ways of thinking, and just bring
- 0:20some joy into the world. So welcome to the coop and let's
- 0:23start your day off in a fantastic way.
- 0:28Hey everybody, good morning. So I want to address something
- 0:31today that I think everybody who listens to this would is in the
- 0:37same boat as I am. The level of sadness that's out
- 0:40there right now with what has happened in these floods.
- 0:44And we wake up today to more flooding in New Mexico and we we
- 0:50still haven't even fathomed what has gone on in Texas.
- 0:57And I have clients who this is directly affected, directly
- 1:02affected. And we we can't as human beings
- 1:08understand. There are no words for what's
- 1:10going on there. There is no understanding for
- 1:14the level of sadness of what is happening.
- 1:18And we stop and we think all these people did was send their
- 1:21kids to camp or go camping with their grandchildren or try to
- 1:25have a nice 4th of July weekend. And all of a sudden this
- 1:30happens. And our our brains, our human
- 1:33brains are are wired to be, you know, in this headspace of I
- 1:38need to know why. I need to know why, I need to
- 1:41know why. And there is just no
- 1:45comprehension of why with this, my friends there, there isn't.
- 1:49No matter what we do, no matter how we try to do it, we're never
- 1:53going to understand why because the why won't make sense to us.
- 1:57And believe me, I know I've I've been doing this role for many
- 2:02years. And the why is something that
- 2:05comes up for people often consistently, and they'll say, I
- 2:10don't understand why. I just don't understand why.
- 2:13And guess what? Neither do I, neither do I.
- 2:16We cannot fathom this level of the wise, so it makes more sense
- 2:23to get our focus around the what?
- 2:27What can we do? What can we believe?
- 2:29What can we choose to think and focus our attention on?
- 2:33Sending love. So every time we have the
- 2:36overwhelming sense of despair, sadness, understand that those
- 2:42people need our energy, our prayers and not just the words
- 2:45of I'm praying for you. Like actually stop and pause and
- 2:49say I'm sending love to this family.
- 2:53I'm sending a hug to this family or these people or whatever the
- 2:57situation may be because that's what they need.
- 3:00They need to feel that they need to have those waves of just
- 3:06unconditional support and love pouring into them, even if it's
- 3:11energetically, even if you never speak the words, even if it's
- 3:14just you doing it the way I'm describing it, it's going to
- 3:18shift the the reality for everybody.
- 3:22So I encourage you to take that on one because it certainly
- 3:27helps all of us in the process. It certainly helps all of us in
- 3:31the process because we feel like we're doing something.
- 3:34Even if it's minimal, we're doing something and all of us
- 3:39want to do something. Some of us can't do more than
- 3:42that. Some of us can do more than
- 3:44that. Some of us can send things.
- 3:46Some of us can go and participate and help.
- 3:49Some of us can help the people that they know that this has
- 3:53affected, which my clients are going through right now.
- 3:57And I can tell you this, being able to feel like you're adding
- 4:04some value and some love in a situation helps us contemplate a
- 4:10little bit easier. Just a tad, not much, but just a
- 4:14tad. And that whole loop of why?
- 4:17Why would this happen? Why would why?
- 4:21Like we all look for those who messed up.
- 4:25Like that's one of the big questions out there right now.
- 4:27Who messed up, Who didn't put the warnings out, who didn't do
- 4:30this? We can Monday morning
- 4:33quarterback situations, whether it's this or something else all
- 4:37the time and we can try to do better.
- 4:40But we can't undo what has been done right now and we can't look
- 4:45at it as this is, this is a going to cause us to freeze
- 4:50because nobody would want that for us.
- 4:53Nobody would want that for us. The people that are lost would
- 4:56not want that for us. The people that, you know, we
- 4:59always hear these things about what, you know, what people were
- 5:02saying, what were the messages that were coming out?
- 5:05When we learned that from 9:11, when we heard people saying the
- 5:09messages they were getting, they were not of love of hate.
- 5:13They were all of love. That's the point of today.
- 5:17The to the point of today is to focus on that because if you can
- 5:21do that, if you can hone in on that, send love.
- 5:26Don't focus on how did it happen.
- 5:28Don't focus on why did it happen, but just focus on
- 5:31sending love. We can all start to feel just a
- 5:34teeny wee bit better. All right, my friends, I hope
- 5:37you have a blessed day and I love you all.
- 5:40Bye.
