- 0:00There's been a resurgence of interest in the Amon's family
- 0:03haunting case with the release of the Netflix film The
- 0:07Deliverance just about a week ago now.
- 0:10According to the movie's IMDb description, The Deliverance is
- 0:15about an Indiana family that discovers strange demonic
- 0:19occurrences that convince them and their community that their
- 0:24house is a portal to hell. But what if I told you that the
- 0:27real case that the film is loosely based on is far more
- 0:32terrifying? Today we are going to examine
- 0:35the true story that inspired the film, revisiting an older video
- 0:40of mine, but also correcting any information that needs to be and
- 0:45providing new details and insight into this now infamous
- 0:50paranormal case. If you haven't watched the video
- 0:53I'm getting ready to update you on, please pause here and go
- 0:57watch it. It's going to be linked up in
- 0:59the top right hand side of the video.
- 1:02I've got it in the description and in the comments as well.
- 1:05It's called The Untold Story of the Amon's Family Haunting, and
- 1:09for anyone whoever wonders about the untold story, it's the name
- 1:12of this series. I'm very aware that the stories
- 1:15have been told probably by a ton of different people, but
- 1:19anyways, I digress. But watch that video come back
- 1:23and everything I'm about to tell you will make way more sense.
- 1:27I also highly recommend watching until the end of this video not
- 1:31only for a giveaway but I found some information on the Amon's
- 1:35that I don't think anyone else has covered before.
- 1:37I did also want to take a brief moment and say thank you guys so
- 1:41much for supporting me. I just got my personal copy of
- 1:45my book in here, which I couldn't be more proud, man.

- 2:51cases that I've covered in all of their terrifying glory, so I
- 2:55hope you guys will dive in and get yourself a copy today.
- 3:01Doctor Richard Gallagher is a very interesting person that
- 3:04I've made a few videos on now. His works to me are some of the
- 3:08most convincing for the existence of the demonic because
- 3:12he's such a professional and such a reliable source of
- 3:16information. With that being said, when I
- 3:19think of demonic possession, the image of the exorcist comes to
- 3:23the forefront alongside a few other terrifying examples.
- 3:27But besides being Hollywood tropes, some of these horror
- 3:31inducing manifestations may just be real, depending on who you
- 3:35ask. But this case certainly does not
- 3:37hold back with just who saw these paranormal things occur
- 3:41and how credible the people were and just what they saw.
- 3:45Some paranormal stories seem to form tropes of their own.
- 3:48Really. This one is also no exception.
- 3:52The family themselves were excited to move into a new home.
- 3:56This probably meant more space, more freedom for everybody, and
- 4:01a fresh start is always a good thing.
- 4:04Things typically are normal for a time, until they're not.
- 4:09Now that we've finished the original video, I'm going to go
- 4:11through an order of the story and give any and all updates,
- 4:15corrections, and information relevant to the case, as well as
- 4:19my opinions both supporting and debunking various aspects of
- 4:24this very wild story. So let's get started.
- 4:28When the family first moved in with the emergence of so many
- 4:31flies even during the frigid months of the year, in my
- 4:34opinion, could be indicative of the demonic.
- 4:37However, someone in the comments on the original video had
- 4:40brought up that perhaps it could be indicative of a gas leak,
- 4:44which I've never heard of a natural gas leak attracting
- 4:47flies, but I mean, it's certainly possible.
- 4:51After the flies eventually dissipated, the family began to
- 4:54experience the sounds of footsteps going up and down the
- 4:57stairs, as well as the basement door swinging open, even when it
- 5:02was previously logged for most. I think this would prompt people
- 5:05to start rethinking their decision to live there.
- 5:10I do get being locked down financially though, but I
- 5:13certainly would start contemplating my next move as
- 5:16far as where I could live. Alongside this, when the tall,
- 5:21shadowy figure emerged from Latoya's closet, my first
- 5:24thought would be that it's probably a burglar and with
- 5:28children in the house. I'm glad that she was brave
- 5:31enough to go and try and confront whatever this thing or
- 5:34person was, but then when she chased it down, essentially it
- 5:38disappeared only to reveal muddy footprints where it had once
- 5:42stood again. If you weren't already
- 5:44considering moving out, this would certainly expedite that
- 5:48process if it were me. Months later, on March 10th,
- 5:512012, the family had hosted a wake at their home for a family
- 5:55member that had passed away. I've personally been to too many
- 5:59funerals and a lot of wakes, but I've never heard of one taking
- 6:04place at someone's home and not a Funeral Home.
- 6:07But I mean different different states or beliefs could probably
- 6:11account for this. As the wake was ending around
- 6:132:00 AM or so, Latoya would hear the screams of her daughter's
- 6:17friend. Her daughter and her friend had
- 6:19been in the back bedroom and as she rushed back there to find
- 6:22out what the problem was, she too would scream for her mom
- 6:26because her daughter was levitating.
- 6:29I mean, Can you imagine that for a minute?
- 6:31You're already in a state of stress due to losing a family
- 6:34member and having their actual body in the living room of your
- 6:38home, but then you hear a blood curdling scream and then running
- 6:42to where it was originating from.
- 6:44You then see your daughter passed out and floating above
- 6:47her bed. Now that's, that's downright
- 6:50terrifying. I mean, I'd start praying too or
- 6:53something, you know, maybe tether her down, I don't know.
- 6:57But either way, downright disturbing manifestations trying
- 7:01to find some kind of help. They called a bunch of churches
- 7:05and almost none of them wanted any involvement with anything
- 7:08supernatural or paranormal. It's incredible to me how many
- 7:12Christian churches supposedly believe in God but don't believe
- 7:15in the devil or the demonic and just aren't willing to get
- 7:19involved. It's pretty crazy really.
- 7:23To me, you can't really have one without the other.
- 7:25It just doesn't make rational sense.
- 7:28They would eventually find a church that was willing to
- 7:30listen and based on the descriptions of what they were
- 7:33being told was taking place, it would come to believe that the
- 7:37occupation was demonic in nature.
- 7:40Now I misspeak in this part of the story.
- 7:43On the original video I say that they cleaned the entire home
- 7:46with bleach and ammonia. They did do this because they
- 7:49were advised to use strong chemicals to clean so it was
- 7:52supposedly supposed to help clear out any negative energy
- 7:55that could be there, which I've heard just keeping your space
- 7:58clean in general can help with that all around.
- 8:02They did use both of these chemicals but they used them at
- 8:05separate times because if you mixed these you would have a not
- 8:09so good time. Just figured how I would finally
- 8:12address that instead of answering hundreds and hundreds
- 8:14of comments. They would then use olive oil to
- 8:17anoint the children as well as sections of the house.
- 8:21And this has been in practice and used for thousands of years
- 8:25to bless things. I know a lot of people who
- 8:28integrate this into their personal practices.
- 8:31I am curious just what clairvoyance they spoke with
- 8:34though that told them that their home was harboring over 200
- 8:37demons. To me that's pretty excessive.
- 8:41I mean one or several since they tend to travel in packs, often
- 8:46referring to themselves as legion to give the appearance of
- 8:49power through numbers. A few would be bad enough, let
- 8:53alone 200. So I personally highly doubt
- 8:56this. I think this is greatly
- 8:58exaggerated, but at further advice of the mysterious
- 9:02clairvoyance, Latoya then builds an altar in the basement.
- 9:06And I find this strange as well because altars are are used in
- 9:10churches you know formally, but you usually don't see them used
- 9:14in Christian or even Catholic blessings of a home.
- 9:17If anything I would argue this is more of a Pagan practice but
- 9:22placing a white sheet on the table they placed a candle and
- 9:25statues of Mary, Joseph and Jesus and then salt was also
- 9:29placed around the room. To me it's kind of an
- 9:31amalgamation of Christian and Pagan practices in a way.
- 9:35And I mean hey you know whatever works right?
- 9:37I do know from personal experience that salt can be a
- 9:40good for attraction spells as well as protection depending on
- 9:44how it's used. Latoya and a friend would go on
- 9:47to cleanse the house by burning sage and sulfur.
- 9:50I have certainly heard of burning sage to cleanse a home
- 9:53and we usually burn Palo Santo to restore a positive energy
- 9:57following burning sage. We do our own cleansings, but
- 10:01I've never heard of burning sulfur.
- 10:04If anything, sulfur or the scent of sulfur has always been
- 10:07associated with the demonic or hell in general.
- 10:12Biblically I find this further troubling because burning sulfur
- 10:16can produce toxic and flammable gases.
- 10:19So not to be too harsh or anything but whoever was giving
- 10:22them this advice may not have been the smartest to be honest.
- 10:26As they did this, they would form crosses in the smoke and
- 10:29read the Bible, which again in a way is a further binding of the
- 10:33practices of Pagan and then also Christian origin.
- 10:37Approximately 3 days later, Latoya's children then began to
- 10:40speak in deep sinister voices accompanied with twisted smiles
- 10:45and bulging eyes. It's as if they were completely
- 10:49different people. Now, I can't really explain this
- 10:52one to be honest. It is telltale signs of demonic
- 10:56possession for manifestations like this to occur.
- 10:59But if it didn't actually happen, it would have been
- 11:02indicative of some kind of drug use or mental disorder on behalf
- 11:06of Latoya, which as far as I've been able to research, has never
- 11:10been the case for her. And to make things creepier,
- 11:14following these things happening, the kids would have
- 11:17no recollection of these things ever occurring.
- 11:20Like their memory would be entirely blank for portions of
- 11:23time where they were supposedly acting this way.
- 11:27Now, I did look into a possible connection between the burning
- 11:30of sulfur or a gas leak and the altered voices or hallucinations
- 11:35that were taking place. And the burning of sulfur and
- 11:38its byproducts are toxic and can cause a variety of issues, but
- 11:43they're mostly breathing related.
- 11:45If there was indeed a natural gas leak, carbon monoxide
- 11:49poisoning can cause headaches, confusion, blurred vision,
- 11:53hallucinations, and feelings of dread.
- 11:56It can also cause seizures, memory loss as well, and a
- 12:00variety of of just terrible side effects.
- 12:03Could this potentially explain both the attraction of the flies
- 12:06as well as the potential occurrences within the home?
- 12:10Although I'm unsure if it's a natural gas leak that was
- 12:13playing a role and what the family says they went through,
- 12:16it very well could have. And all this aside, Latoya's
- 12:20youngest son would often speak with an imaginary friend which
- 12:24apparently explained to him what it was like to be murdered.
- 12:28Now from what I've gathered, of course I don't know the family
- 12:31personally or anything like that, but Latoya and her mother
- 12:34were both pretty religious, so my guess is that they monitored
- 12:38what the kids watched and listened to.
- 12:40Media wise. This is the only thing aside
- 12:43from an actual entity or a very overactive imagination inspired
- 12:48by something that could be the cause of this.
- 12:52Of course, lots of media in general contains violence and
- 12:55dark elements, but were the children exposed to any of this
- 12:59is the real question. The child during one of these
- 13:02episodes was apparently thrown from the closet, hitting
- 13:05Latoya's daughter and causing an injury that required a trip to
- 13:09the hospital for stitches. I have no real way to explain
- 13:12this unless it actually happened or was greatly exaggerated, but
- 13:17as a result of this, a hospital trip happened and it seems like
- 13:21Child Protective Services began to take an interest in the
- 13:25family. Latoya's daughter would be
- 13:27interviewed by a psychiatrist there at the hospital who would
- 13:30end up telling her that she often had experiences as if she
- 13:33was being held down and choked by something that she couldn't
- 13:36see. Now if we follow the carbon
- 13:38monoxide theory, which granted if levels were that high, you'd
- 13:42think that one or multiple family members would ultimately
- 13:46pass away eventually from it. But it is known to cause
- 13:49hallucinations as well as a profound sense of dread and I'm
- 13:53curious if this attributed to her experiences or if she was
- 13:57indeed being attacked by an unseen entity.
- 14:00We come to find out that Latoya would complain of moments where
- 14:03her body temperature would rapidly raise and she would
- 14:07shake, falling in and out of consciousness.
- 14:10Now again, carbon monoxide poisoning can cause seizures and
- 14:14blackouts, but not necessarily rapid rises in temperature.
- 14:18But being a woman with several kids and although I I looked, I
- 14:22couldn't find her age, it is possible that perhaps if it
- 14:26wasn't a supernatural occurrence that she could have been
- 14:29experiencing symptoms of menopause.
- 14:32Things with the family would get so bad that some nights when
- 14:35they could afford to do so, Latoya would opt to take
- 14:38everyone out to a hotel for a night or two just to get away
- 14:41from the house and try to normalize things for them.
- 14:45After a trip to the doctor's office, upon being asked what
- 14:48was taking place, Latoya began to explain to the doctors that
- 14:52they were dealing with something paranormal and possibly demonic
- 14:55within their home. As the doctor was writing down
- 14:58that she was delusional, the youngest son was thrown against
- 15:01the wall without anyone having touched him and at the same time
- 15:05her oldest child also went unconscious.
- 15:07Now medical staff tried to wake the boys but were unable to and
- 15:11would ultimately call 911 to transport them to a nearby
- 15:14hospital. Now, aside from a pre-existing
- 15:17medical condition, I can't really explain how the the
- 15:20oldest son would have passed out right when his brother hit the
- 15:22wall. According to eyewitness
- 15:24testimony, he was thrown against the wall by an unseen force.
- 15:28But could it perhaps be that people were just superstitious?
- 15:32That the boy could have just tossed himself against the wall?
- 15:35Maybe he was seeking attention. And just so you know, I'm not
- 15:38trying to discredit their story. I do think it's important to
- 15:41play devil's advocate so to speak and seek the truth and
- 15:46debunk things when they can be rationally debunked instead of
- 15:49just automatically agreeing with everything you know, being the
- 15:52work of dark forces all the time.
- 15:55The boys would wake up in the hospital and while the oldest
- 15:58was docile, the youngest began to violently attack anyone who
- 16:01came near him and it would apparently take 5 grown men to
- 16:05restrain the young man. Perhaps this was confusion after
- 16:09being unconscious and waking up in a new environment.
- 16:12It's hard to say for certain. Seeing the bizarre events
- 16:15unfold, a hospital employee began to believe that the boys
- 16:19are being abused and acting out and would ultimately contact the
- 16:23Department of Child Safety. Citing what I've already
- 16:26mentioned as well as Latoya's seeming to suffer from obvious
- 16:30mental illness, ADCF worker by the name of Valerie Washington
- 16:34would be assigned to the case would come and interview the
- 16:37family. In her report, she would say
- 16:40that the boys didn't have any injuries and that Latoya seemed
- 16:44to be stable. She would then have her
- 16:46evaluated by the psychiatrist there at the hospital, where she
- 16:50would be deemed sane. This, I feel like, is a really
- 16:52important moment in this case because an actual medical
- 16:55professional evaluated Latoya, meaning that according to them,
- 17:00and, you know, people do make mistakes sometimes.
- 17:02You know, no one's perfect. But according to them and their
- 17:05medical expertise, she wasn't crazy.
- 17:09As Valerie continued her investigation, Latoya's youngest
- 17:12would end up growling at her and then attacking and strangling
- 17:16the older brother during the interview.
- 17:18Later that day, Washington would return alongside with a
- 17:21registered nurse and Rosa, the boy's grandmother, and would
- 17:25take the youngest into a small exam room to continue the
- 17:28interviews. Finding that interviewing the
- 17:31boys alone would probably yield better results, the boy would
- 17:34growl again, acting very strange.
- 17:38And then we get to the infamous part that everyone knows.
- 17:41Now during this segment of the story in the original video, I
- 17:45explained that the oldest runs towards Rosa and begins head
- 17:48butting her over and over again. This did occur, but it was
- 17:53following the incident I'm about to describe with the youngest
- 17:55son. Not to get the timeline
- 17:57confused, the child began to get violent yet again with his
- 18:01grandmother and with the officials in the room, and Rosa
- 18:05would opt to call him a demon. Now whether this remark was on
- 18:09her actually believing the child was possessed or because he was
- 18:13acting like a lunatic is beyond me.
- 18:16But with a twisted smile and taking her hands, it began to
- 18:20glide or walk backwards up the wall and almost making it to the
- 18:24ceiling. Now I'm not sure how to debunk
- 18:27this one. Like yes kids can maneuver their
- 18:31body weight and push off the wall against an adult for
- 18:34example and walk up it in a way, but doing this to the point to
- 18:39where they reach the ceiling? I've never seen or heard of
- 18:42that. Also, considering this took
- 18:44place in front of a registered nurse and the DCF worker makes
- 18:48it much more credible because they were freaked out enough to
- 18:51run out of the room following the event and to grab the
- 18:54nearest doctor to explain what had just taken place.
- 18:58And unless they were all in some kind of dramatic theater and for
- 19:01what purpose I I don't know would be the only explanation
- 19:05aside from it actually occurring.
- 19:08The doctor, not believing what the officials had said, said
- 19:12that it had to be some sort of a trick or something.
- 19:15So accompanying everyone, he went to the room and asked the
- 19:18boy to recreate what he had done, but the boy said that he
- 19:22didn't remember. And to be fair, if this did
- 19:24truly occur, these types of things can't be recreated
- 19:28scientifically and at will. They occur so randomly and
- 19:32sporadically that it's almost impossible to study them in the
- 19:36field. The male RN that was present
- 19:38would later say, as documented in the DCF report, that they
- 19:42believed that the child was possessed by something evil.
- 19:45And the case manager as well, Valerie Washington, But also
- 19:50state that there was an evil influence affecting the Amon's
- 19:53family. This in and of itself is crazy
- 19:56to think about because this was witnessed by two professionals
- 19:59in two different fields and officially documented in a
- 20:03proper report. The youngest boy would end up
- 20:06staying overnight at the hospital and Latoya would stay
- 20:09with him while Rosa took the other two to a nearby relative's
- 20:12house. It was the boy's birthday the
- 20:15following day and after the family celebrated at the
- 20:18hospital. Despite the official report what
- 20:21she had seen, Washington would inform everyone that DCF would
- 20:25be taking custody of the kids, citing that they believed they
- 20:29were being spiritually and emotionally neglected.
- 20:33This one is a weird one for sure.
- 20:35I'm curious if perhaps someone higher up than Washington made
- 20:38the call to take the kids, but it seems like, from my personal
- 20:42experience anyways, that DCF takes kids out of homes that
- 20:46aren't usually that bad or abusive, but neglects those who
- 20:51need to be taken away for very real circumstances.
- 20:54You know, the system really is broken.
- 20:57But either the report was to placate the Amons into a false
- 21:01sense of security by going along with their stories, or someone
- 21:05higher than Washington saw the report and was like, yeah, these
- 21:09people have to be crazy. Word had gotten out around the
- 21:12hospital, and the hospital chaplain actually would contact
- 21:15Reverend Mangiano, who would reach out to Latoya.
- 21:19And despite the turmoil of the situation that she found herself
- 21:23in, this was an unexpected but welcome surprise.
- 21:27The Reverend would interview Rosa and Latoya at their
- 21:29Carolina St. home to get a better feel for their character
- 21:33and for the situation. The lights apparently kept
- 21:36flickering throughout the interview and blinds wildly
- 21:39swinging. Despite there not being any
- 21:41source or cause for this, these things accompanied with a
- 21:44feeling of darkness. Mangiano believed that he was
- 21:47dealing with the real deal. Following the interview, he
- 21:50would schedule with the women a time when he could come and
- 21:53bless the home, and following this blessing, he believed that
- 21:57the home was indeed infested with demonic entities and that
- 22:01it was no longer safe for anyone to live there.
- 22:04Rosa and Latoya, following his advice, would then move in with
- 22:07a nearby relative. A week later, DCF sent
- 22:11Washington with two Lake County police officers and the Gary, IN
- 22:15Chief of Police to examine the Carolina St. home and determine
- 22:19if it was safe for the children to live in.
- 22:22Latoya would meet them there but would refuse to go inside of the
- 22:25house. Washington, alongside the
- 22:28officers, would enter and would examine the home.
- 22:31Underneath the stairs there was a dirt patch that Rosa believed
- 22:35that the demons were originating from.
- 22:37For what reason? It was never really made clear
- 22:40as to why she felt that way despite all my research, but she
- 22:44felt that way nonetheless. The police chief who did believe
- 22:47in ghosts but not demons at the time, which again to me is is
- 22:51kind of weird, but I mean to each their own.
- 22:54He later changed this belief after he visited the home on
- 22:57Carolina St. With things moving on their own
- 23:00accord during their time there, flickering lights, eerie
- 23:03feelings, and with a supposed EVP capture by mistake that one
- 23:08later discovered would reveal disembodied voices whispering to
- 23:12them, he became a believer. Several photos would also be
- 23:16taken and would reveal disturbing and strange
- 23:19silhouettes of figures within the home.
- 23:21This too is a very important threat in the case in my opinion
- 23:24because these things were seen and captured by seasoned police
- 23:28officers, one of them being the Gary Chief of Police at the
- 23:31time, and most law enforcement officials don't tend to just go
- 23:35on the record and risk their reputation unless they believed
- 23:39what they experienced to be true.
- 23:41Even weirder, that evening following the investigation of
- 23:45the Amon's home, the captain returned to his own home where
- 23:48his garage door malfunctioned and didn't want to open.
- 23:52The driver's seat of his vehicle also began to move forward on
- 23:55its own. Thankfully though, when he was
- 23:57parked the following day he would have the car examined by a
- 24:00mechanic and the mechanism was found to be broken and that if
- 24:05it would have malfunctioned while the chief was driving then
- 24:07it could have been catastrophic and caused an accident.
- 24:11Although the chief would attribute these to something
- 24:13following him home from the Eamon's house, it very well
- 24:17could have just been a series of really strange coincidences.
- 24:20Officers would continue their joint investigation with DCF and
- 24:24among several things to happen, an oil like substance began to
- 24:28streak down the walls with no visible origin.
- 24:32Thinking this could have been from past olive oil anointments,
- 24:36they cleaned the wall and sealed the room for 20 plus minutes
- 24:39only to reveal additional oil streaks down the walls after
- 24:43they reopened the room. I don't know if this was
- 24:46supposed to be ectoplasm or what have you.
- 24:49I don't believe that the liquid was ever tested to see if it was
- 24:53olive oil. It could have possibly soaked
- 24:57into the drywall or the wood and produced excess oil I guess.
- 25:02Or like oozed back out with temperature changes.
- 25:05I do also think it could have possibly been condensation, but
- 25:08apparently there wasn't any air leaks or anything in the house.
- 25:11So it's, it's really hard to make like a solid determination
- 25:14on that one. I may skip over some of the
- 25:16smaller details of the case just because there's so much
- 25:19information that's presented. But an exorcism would be carried
- 25:23out on the House and also done by seasoned priests.
- 25:27Ultimately, this would lead to an exorcism, or a series of
- 25:30exorcisms I should say, on Latoya herself.
- 25:34Manjano wanted to conduct things himself but was denied absolute
- 25:37control by his Bishop who sought experience exorcist to accompany
- 25:41him. Latoya had come to believe, and
- 25:44we're not totally sure how as she was being oppressed by the
- 25:47demon Beelzebub, also known as the Lord of the Flies.
- 25:52Which I mean, this could be wishful thinking from a Google
- 25:54search given all the flies that had previously plagued them
- 25:57since she was a religious woman. Or I mean, it could be the real
- 26:01deal, you know? You never really know.
- 26:03The exorcisms would be conducted within Manjano's church and they
- 26:07would be conducted several weeks apart.
- 26:09What takes place within these exorcisms are either total
- 26:12demonic manifestations of evil or intense religious delusional
- 26:16theater. It honestly really just comes
- 26:19down to what you believe. This case seems to have a lot of
- 26:23details that could sway someone. Either way, when you really dig
- 26:27into it, Latoya would be freed of her apparent demons after the
- 26:313rd exorcism, and now we'll start getting into everything
- 26:34that happened after the original case took place.
- 26:37Latoya and Rosa would move out of the home on Carolina St. and
- 26:41the home would have several more tenants, none of which say that
- 26:44they experienced any paranormal activity.
- 26:47So either the exorcisms worked, the demons were indeed attached
- 26:51to Latoya in the 1st place, or the demons that existed only
- 26:55truly existed within the minds of those involved.
- 26:59Latoya, thankfully, would go on to regain custody of her
- 27:02children in November of 2012 and had the authorities keep an eye
- 27:06on her until the case was finally closed in February of
- 27:102023. Her story goes fairly off the
- 27:14grid after all this happened, her and her children as they
- 27:18grew up, and her mother Rosa all shield away from public life
- 27:21following the incidents. And really, I can't blame them.
- 27:25In interviews and even talks with a friend of mine
- 27:28personally, Latoya comes off as a pretty pretty genuine person.
- 27:33Genuine in character and in her beliefs and what she believed
- 27:36took place. And my critiques, again, are not
- 27:39to disparage her or anyone else. I just think that's like,
- 27:43healthy skepticism is important to have when tackling these
- 27:46kinds of things. Word of the Haunted Indiana home
- 27:49would eventually make its way to infamous Ghost Adventures host
- 27:52Zach Bacon's Via the Indy Star newspaper that originally gave
- 27:56press coverage to Latoya's story.
- 27:58He would get in touch with the current owners at that time and
- 28:01would purchase the home for $35,000 in 2014 where he would
- 28:06then film the documentary Demon House where he claimed he
- 28:09experienced dark demonic forces, some of which apparently caused
- 28:13him to need to wear glasses. I guess whether this was truly
- 28:17demons affecting his health or the cause of old age, we'll
- 28:21never truly know. But begins, of course, is a
- 28:24polarizing figure in the paranormal world.
- 28:27A lot of people either love or hate him and I'm not here to
- 28:29debate that, but I mean you can in the comments, I don't really
- 28:32care. But in 2016, after giving press
- 28:36statements about his findings, one of one of the outlets of
- 28:39which was the indie star, Zach would have the house demolished
- 28:43and would then release his documentary Demon House in 2018.
- 28:46Now whether his findings were real or amped up entertainment
- 28:50is again up to you to decide, but I do think it is strange
- 28:53that he had the home demolished. This wouldn't allow anyone else
- 28:57to investigate the home, of course.
- 28:59Now, whether it was to prevent others from investigating the
- 29:02house or if it was Zach's way to prevent people from living there
- 29:07due to the demons is, again, something we'll never truly
- 29:10know. Demon House, of course, would go
- 29:12on to be a massive success. Zach would also take a piece of
- 29:15the stairs in which sat over the supposed portal to hell from the
- 29:19Amon's home in the basement, and it is now on display in his
- 29:22haunted museum, with some saying that they've had experiences of
- 29:26their own after witnessing it in person.
- 29:28When the case on Carolina St. took place, the family consisted
- 29:31of Latoya Amon's Rosa Campbell, her mother, her oldest daughter
- 29:36Aaron, oldest son Andrew, and youngest son Armani, whose ages
- 29:41at that time were 12-9 and seven.
- 29:44I withheld their names in the original video because I I
- 29:47couldn't find if this information was published at
- 29:50that time and I wanted to respect their privacy.
- 29:53It has since been published in a lot of different publications, a
- 29:56lot of different outlets. So this to the what I'm about to
- 30:01tell you is also published, but I haven't heard anyone mention
- 30:04it or talk about it. Sadly.
- 30:06In 2021, Latoya's youngest son, Armani, passed away at the age
- 30:11of 17. The cause of death, however, is
- 30:14not publicly available. But I do very much feel for her
- 30:18and her family. I don't think that any mother
- 30:20should have to bury their child. Fast forward to today in 2024.
- 30:25Although it's uncertain just how involved Latoya was in the
- 30:28making of the Deliverance film, the film is loosely based on her
- 30:31story and was released on August 16th in theaters and August 30th
- 30:36on Netflix. It is similar but certainly not
- 30:40the same story whatsoever. I'm sure after watching my
- 30:43breakdown and or the original video or both and then watching
- 30:46the film, you'll definitely see that for sure.
- 30:49Latoya and her family, as far as I know, continue to live a nice
- 30:53quiet life without fear and continue to stay out of the
- 30:56limelight and I really can't blame them.
- 31:00Was their case a legitimate demonic haunting or was it all a
- 31:04publicity stunt and for what reason?
- 31:06I wouldn't know, but at the end of the day, that's up to you to
- 31:09decide. Definitely let me know what you
- 31:12think down in the comments below.
