- 0:22Y y y y Hello everybody. Hello, how are you today? Sir?
- 1:08That was a very tentative hello. I am doing well. It's been
- 1:15a few days since I've been alive and I feel completely out of practice.
- 1:19I also feel like my camera has rebelled against me because I currently have my
- 1:23ring light off because apparently it's too bright. But things have shifted and changed
- 1:29and that might be throwing things off, so I just have to figure it
- 1:32out. That's okay, And I love that you're blurry or that I need
- 1:36to put my glasses on. No, it's me, it's my service.
- 1:42It's the Internet. It doesn't like me. Right now, that's okay.
- 1:45I am working on fixing that with Amazon Ness, Mesh whatever, and hopefully
- 1:51I can get that fixed sooner rather than later. But up until you know,
- 1:59we really launch other things next year, I'm trying. I'm doing my
- 2:04best. Well. I just have to say thank you for wearing purple.
- 2:10I can't really tell my purple, of course, since I have my lights
- 2:15darkened. And for those that don't know, my mother's favorite color was purple.
- 2:21She told everybody she had purple blood because she went to Portnaha's High school.
- 2:25And they're the Indians. So I even pulled out her wine glass out
- 2:32of my wine cabinet that I don't know how old I was, but my
- 2:37handwriting was not great when I made this cup for her. I mean,
- 2:45you're also writing on a baldest glass, so there's I mean, you know,
- 2:52I was bragging to my parents who are now here about who made the
- 2:58wreath that's downstairs with buzz and woody and stuff, and that it was you,
- 3:01and you know, so you are, you are a queen of the
- 3:07craft. I would say that's probably much better than I could do now.
- 3:10So I haven't thought it was cool to bedazzle it. You can't really see
- 3:15the bedazzling, but it's been bedazzled, so I will and both said that
- 3:22a mega pint I won't fill it up all the way. I also have
- 3:27to say it was great talking to the little bruise yesterday and the little one
- 3:31who goes, how old are you? And I could hear you in the
- 3:36background just going stop it, stop it. You don't ask that question.
- 3:40Don't ask that question. He's four. Uh you know, I guess if
- 3:45you can get away with it right now, go for it. Yeah,
- 3:51I mean, ask if you can JT. I'm trying to send you a
- 3:57text. It's just for my knowledge. No, we're live, and this
- 4:00is dumb question. Our guests cannot hear in the background. Is that supposed
- 4:04to be the way it works? Right now? Say that one more time.
- 4:10They cannot hear. Oh they can hear now, never mind it was
- 4:14me. It's just me. Oh okay, it's just me. Guys.
- 4:19It has been a day. Let's just get it on out there and say
- 4:24it's been a day. I've been running behind all day. Some things happened
- 4:29that popped up and I needed to jump in and a handle and a little
- 4:34behind today. So I appreciate everybody being patient with being being a little off
- 4:41today. But I did open a bottle of wine and I cannot even pronounce
- 4:48it. Is that good or bad? Floras? I don't know. Is
- 4:55it Flores d priori? I don't know. It's rose. Yeah. I
- 5:03bought it because the bottle was pretty. It's like embellished, so you can
- 5:08keep it and make a vase out of it. I just want to say,
- 5:14we've got folks watching on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube obviously, so hello
- 5:19to all of you. We appreciate you being here tonight. I think if
- 5:24there was any night to be with us, this is the ones. And
- 5:28we're on Twitter too, Yes, yeah, yeah, I think I threw
- 5:32us on my Twitter account. Oh okay, I didn't know we could do
- 5:36that. This is why you do mission control. It's just, you know,
- 5:46I like fiddling around and trying new things. Okay, somebody said that's
- 5:51a large bottle of wine. It's not. It's a regular size bottle.
- 5:55It just I think looks big. It's it's truly just a regular size.
- 6:02And now I'm not gonna put a straw in it or anything. Okay.
- 6:08So no, I want to thank everybody upfront for joining us. And I'm
- 6:13going to just get this out of the way and say this because I want
- 6:17everybody to know. This will be the first time I do a live stream
- 6:24of this type of interview, and I want to tell everybody because we have
- 6:29chat. If you chat anything that is disrespectful or insensitive, your comment will
- 6:36be hidden. If you do it a second time, your comments will be
- 6:42blocked. I have zero patients or tolerance for anyone being disrespectful to the parents
- 6:51of Chase Lackey, or to JT and I. JT and I could probably
- 6:55handle a little better, but I'm not going to allow it to happen.
- 6:59So I just want to tell everybody upfront, you will get your comments hidden,
- 7:03you will get blocked, and if you try to do anything else,
- 7:08I will find a way to block you from this channel. So not trying
- 7:12to be a capital B, but I'm just telling y'all up front, I
- 7:16got no tolerance today, So I'll get off my soapbox. JT. I
- 7:25think that's a safe soapbox to be on, though you know, I'm certainly
- 7:28not gonna push you off of it. I'll let you keep going if you
- 7:30want. Yeah, No, think that's what they came here to hear.
- 7:34I don't think that's what they came here. Oh, it looks like we
- 7:42actually have another family member. Looks like I want to chase his sisters in
- 7:46the room. So now I'm gonna really get emotional. The other thing,
- 7:50I'm gonna just also warn everybody I've been emotional all day. My mama Bear
- 7:57passed away five years ago today. That's why we're wearing purple this case,
- 8:01in doing this special investigation, has made me more emotional than I ever thought
- 8:05I could be on something we worked on. I've said it in a couple
- 8:11of my social media videos, I have found myself crying when I go to
- 8:16sleep because I can't. I just can't imagine what these amazing people have been
- 8:24through and how they're surviving and still living life every day. So I want
- 8:31to before we get started, just to say thank you to everybody who has
- 8:37been so kind, has shared our messages and have shared our post people JT
- 8:45tell them our notifications are going crazy, aren't they? With people messaging us
- 8:50directly. I like, it's one of those good problems to have. It's
- 8:56something that I don't want to complain about because yes, yes, ding ding
- 9:01ding ding, But the reality is that means involvement, That means interaction,
- 9:07and not interaction for the sake of interaction, but interaction in the way that
- 9:11people are paying attention. And that's what we need. So m mh,
- 9:16Like I said, I love it. I just never I never thought I
- 9:22would be like, oh my god, my phone is gonna die. It's
- 9:24going off so much. I had to learn what battery saver was on a
- 9:30cell phone. I luckily my monkey butt showed me how you go and you
- 9:35put it so that you're like on a certain mode so that your battery lasts
- 9:37longer. It took a ten year old to teach me that. Yeah.
- 9:46So are we ready to get starting? Mister JT? Sure absolutely? Would
- 9:54you like to do a lovely introduction? We can't, and we can so
- 10:03tonight we have Chase's mom, Debbie, and Chase's dad Craig, who are
- 10:09joining us live. I know Craig has done some other live interviews like this.
- 10:18I'm not sure it was live or if it was recorded. I just
- 10:20know I watched it. It was about two hours. But Debbie, I
- 10:22think this is her first time doing this in a live setting. So I
- 10:28want to say thank you to both of you for agreeing to do this,
- 10:31because I can't imagine that it's easy, and I know it's something that you
- 10:37never planned or wanted to do in your life, was to have to come
- 10:39on and have this kind of conversation. So I want to say thank you
- 10:46foremost and upfront for everything. I just want to say thank y'all for doing
- 10:54what y'all are doing, Like you said this in my first podcast that I've
- 10:58done or what have you, But the outpouring of love and support from literally
- 11:11thousands of people that I have never met, that don't know Seth or don't
- 11:16know Chase, and all the love and prayers that have continuously poured in on
- 11:28his page has literally blown me away. I mean, I've got people in
- 11:37Canada, people in Australia sharing this. I mean that just literally worldwide is
- 11:46just amazing to me. You hear, you watch the news, you hear
- 11:52about all the murdering Mayhem and all the bad people. But people, trust
- 11:58me, there are plenty of good people in this world. I'm staring at
- 12:03to them right now on my screen. They took this on because somebody said,
- 12:09hey, once you look into this, and they have literally moved mountains
- 12:18mountains. My heartfelt thanks will never be enough for what Terry and JT have
- 12:26done in a matter of months that has not been done in six years plus
- 12:37now. So I said, don't thank us for being here, thank y'all
- 12:43for what y'all are doing now. And I'll be honest. JT and I
- 12:48were talking yesterday and we talked about when we originally agreed that we were going
- 12:54to do this, we really thought we'd give an update every couple of months.
- 12:58Guys, we are blown away at how many people have jumped in and
- 13:03become and invested, and I'm truly shocked by the love the respect. I
- 13:11mean, like I said, there's been a couple of what I call Karen's
- 13:13out there, but that's not even like point zero five percent, and I'm
- 13:20just still I'm trying to think of the right word. It's made me appreciate
- 13:26the human race a little bit more, because there's a lot of times you
- 13:31get to where you're like, you know what, people just suck and I
- 13:33don't like people. I'm gonna just go hang out with my dog. But
- 13:37since we started even looking into this back in June, I'm floored by how
- 13:46kind people have been. And it truly, if I can only imagine,
- 13:50if it's heartwarming to me, it's got to be tenfold for you guys.
- 13:56Like said it, it's blown me away. I mean a Facebook friend,
- 14:05somebody that I didn't know at the time, but her name is Jill Simmons,
- 14:09Micabe. I'm hoping I'm pronouncing that right, Jill, if you're watching
- 14:11tonight, But she suggests it and asked if I wanted to hear her set
- 14:18up a page for Chase. Like, as y'all know tonight, I'm not
- 14:22computer savvy, so doing all that kind of stuff on Facebook. You know,
- 14:26I was like, yeah, go for it, because I have no
- 14:28clue how to do that. She did, out the goodness of her heart.
- 14:33She reached out to me and asked me if I wanted to set that
- 14:37page up, and I said absolutely. She said, I'll put all your
- 14:39family members as you know, administrators, moderators or whatever, and I'll take
- 14:45myself off after I get set up. And that's how his page came about.
- 14:50Somebody that I had never met livez totally halfway across the country from me,
- 14:56and we were Facebook friends, and she heard about it and reached out
- 15:01and that's how all this started. Wow, I did not know that story.
- 15:07I just assumed, and we know what assuming does. And obviously I'm
- 15:13living proof because I just assumed you did, or that maybe one of your
- 15:18kids did. So that is I mean, because your kids are you know,
- 15:24got some that are in that realm that probably knows social media pretty good,
- 15:28and then you've got some younger ones. Right. But I will say,
- 15:31before we get too far into this, I wanted to first ask you,
- 15:37Debbie, how are you doing? Because I know this has got to
- 15:41be gut wrenching and hard. So how are you doing. It's hard.
- 15:48Just whenever we do stuff like this, it takes me right back to that
- 15:50day. And I can't thank y'all enough as well. I mean everything Craig
- 15:58said, I mean things that were not done in six and a half years
- 16:02y'all have done in three months. That has just overwhelmed us. So we
- 16:06can't thank y'all enough. Thank everybody. Yeah, I mean I can tell
- 16:11you JT and I don't need anythings. I mean, I think everybody who's
- 16:15sharing it, we signed up for this. You know. I'm glad.
- 16:19I'm glad we did. I mean, like I said, it's way more
- 16:25than I thought it was going to be and I'm glad. So now,
- 16:29Craig, how are you doing? Because I, like I said, I
- 16:32know you've done these before, but how are you doing this time? Is
- 16:38different? What makes it different? If I can ask, I can't answer
- 16:49that, Okay. I think it's maybe the connections that you have growing up
- 16:56in the area where he went missing, having connections to Crosby, and I
- 17:04think you I think you may have mentioned that Champ was a straw that broke
- 17:10the camel's back and said I'm doing this case I've not been this emotional throughout
- 17:18the last six and a half years. And like I said, I just
- 17:27I cannot thank y'all enough for what y'all are doing, the whole team,
- 17:32not just you and JT, but the investigators, the researchers. I mean,
- 17:37y'all have literally poured your heart and soul into this and thank you just
- 17:45sounds so insignificant for what y'all doing for us, and I can't, Like
- 17:52I said, I certainly appreciate that a lot. Oop. Go ahead,
- 17:56Derek, do you want to No, I was just gonna calm it.
- 18:00I don't want any of you to think that I'm a horrible person, that
- 18:03it was the dog that drugged me in But like I said, people suck.
- 18:07I like the dogs because they don't yell at me, they don't talk
- 18:10back to me, they don't steal my wine. That that was not a
- 18:14negative. Trust me, that was not a negative. Like I said,
- 18:22you just had so many connections to it all. I'm sorry, didn't mean
- 18:25to butt in. JT. Go ahead, that's no. You butt in
- 18:30whenever you want to. I'm going to butt in JT. Oh sorry,
- 18:34I'm gonna walk on you and butt in for just real quick. I'm sorry.
- 18:37I know I told you to jump in. I want to share because
- 18:41I haven't even told you JT. And I was waiting for tonight and I
- 18:45meant to do it earlier. So we decided to do this, and Craig's
- 18:52aware. Debbie, I don't even think you and I've had the chance for
- 18:53me to tell you the number of people who've reached out to me that I
- 19:00grew up with, or that I know from growing up in North Shore and
- 19:03hanging out in Crosby, that knew Chase or your family. To find out
- 19:10that Mama Bear, my brother had all these friends. He played all the
- 19:15sports, baseball. I want to say there was twelve sons that was like
- 19:18son one, two, three, all the way up, and I think
- 19:22Jamie was son number eight. He reached out to me and he goes,
- 19:26hey, I helped. I think he was a batting coach or something with
- 19:30Chase when he was younger, and I was like, holy Toledos, how
- 19:38are these connections keep happening. Though I was worried about doing something so close
- 19:45to home, I'll be honest, I was very I was like, ooh,
- 19:48this could get really ugly real quick. And guys, it hasn't.
- 19:53There's been no ugly It has all been nothing but love. And I've people
- 20:00that I haven't talked to since I left home and grew up that have reached
- 20:03out and have reconnected with. So I have to say thank you to you
- 20:07guys for that. It's not the way I wanted to reconnect with some old
- 20:11friends that I grew up with, but it's happened, and I'm I'm forever
- 20:15gonna be thankful for that. So I wanted to let you guys know that
- 20:22I'm sorry. Davy. She's referring to the Diamondbacks. Oh okay, that's
- 20:27the Jamie she's referring to. Okay, okay, he had two boys on
- 20:32that team, and yep he reached out. Oh cool, Yeah, I
- 20:37mean it was great because he also told me he goes just so you know,
- 20:41your mama Bear would be proud. And I was like, okay,
- 20:45there we go. Let's just make me emotional again. People come on,
- 20:49so now chase him, will let you talk for a while, And I'm
- 20:52gonna drink and I'm not double fisting. This is water. This is the
- 20:59water. The next thing I know, you know a lot of our folks,
- 21:08they don't they don't necessarily know a lot about Chase, and so I
- 21:11was wondering if either this is a question for either of you, if you
- 21:15could just kind of explain, like or talk about him in terms of what
- 21:18he was like growing up. You know, what were some of his likes,
- 21:21dislikes, Any stories that stick out about Chase, some stuff that we
- 21:26can kind of connect with in any way, shape or form. Go ahead,
- 21:30baby, I have a funny story. The girls reminded me of it
- 21:34today. If his birthday, of course, every other year falls on Thanksgiving,
- 21:38so we were running behind. You would get into my parents' house,
- 21:41and of course we always brought his birthday cake. And I said, well,
- 21:45we're gonna stop and you're gonna pick out a cake. Well, he
- 21:48was taken forever and just being his goofy self because it just wasn't being serious,
- 21:52and like, Chase, people are waiting on us. Come on.
- 21:55I'm like, look, there's a carrot cake. Everybody likes carrot cake.
- 21:56He goes, I don't want a carrot cake. And I was like a
- 22:00cake And he's sat there and again, y'all he was he hauned around.
- 22:03The girls were like, come on, Chase, I said, get the
- 22:07carrot cake and let's go. So we finally get to my mom's house and
- 22:11he was just like, I hope everybody enjoys my carrot cake. He goes,
- 22:15because that's not the cake I wanted. I wanted cookies and cream.
- 22:18So every year for his birthday, we always have a form of a carrot
- 22:22cake. Even when he's lebask he goes, oh, there's my carrot cake.
- 22:27And even since he's passed since show, Oh gosh, I can't you
- 22:30believe I said that. Since he's been gone and we've had his parties and
- 22:33stuff, had some gatherings for him, the girls of Stephanie us out there
- 22:37and brought a carrot She goes, you know, we got to have the
- 22:41carrot cake. And so we still even have the carrot cake for me and
- 22:45going, Chase, this is for you. So okay, well, we're
- 22:48gonna have to do carrot cake for the vigil. When we announced that that
- 22:52we're going to be meeting up the Saturday before his birthday, we're going to
- 22:57have to do some carrot cake. Maybe I'll do some Maybe we'll reach out
- 23:02to bakery and get some carrot cake cupcakes because we're going to need to make
- 23:07sure he has his carrot cake. Yes, we got people focusing carrots and
- 23:11cake. I bet you people who are in other countries probably are going,
- 23:19what the he hessage is a carrot cake? Because I gotta tell you I
- 23:27never had a carrot cake until I met h h oh, gosh, they're
- 23:32good. I was like, why would you put carrots in a cake?
- 23:36What's wrong with you people? Why would you ruin a cake? Do you
- 23:41have any carrot? If you put carrots in it, it counts as a
- 23:45salad, so you can eat all you want. Oh I like that.
- 23:51I like that. So do you have a story for us? Craig?
- 23:55Absolutely. My parents had a lake house in Lake Livingstone and they entrusted me
- 24:02to remodel it for them, and from time to time I would take Chase
- 24:07up there with me. So we were working, probably around like two or
- 24:14three o'clock in the morning. I said, well, I don't know about
- 24:17you, but I'm getting hung ass. You want to get something neat?
- 24:18And he's like sure. So we go into downtown Livingston find the taco bell
- 24:23open. I said, what do you want? He said, give me
- 24:26eight tacos. I was like, what he's like? He said, give
- 24:30me eight tacos. I said, all right, give me my tacos.
- 24:33And I got a buried over a couple of tacos or whatever, and we
- 24:41walked out. I said, you know what you ought to do. I
- 24:45said, you gotta walk back in there and cram a taco in your mouth
- 24:51and it's like going good living, you know. And we laughed all the
- 24:56way back to the house, and it was I mean, we could not
- 25:02literally stop laughing. We laughed and laughed and laughed, and we had a
- 25:07family gathering up there. I think it was Christmas time. And my oldest
- 25:12brother, he said, Chase, he says, do you just laugh at
- 25:18everything? He said, no, I don't. He goes, yeah,
- 25:21you do. He says, no, I don't. And my brother says
- 25:25donut, and Chase just busted out laughing over donut, you know. And
- 25:32that was him. He was always laughing, always smiling, and that was
- 25:37a quintessential essence of him. He come up with some of the goofiest off
- 25:42the wall faults that was like, how would you think of this? Why
- 25:48did you think of this? You know? Am I wrong? No?
- 25:52You're not? I mean, did he get in trouble in school because I
- 25:57just have to tell you because I know one of your daughters. This is
- 26:00a teacher. I bet when she gets that one kid in class, she's
- 26:03like, Okay, now I know what my mom went through. Could you
- 26:07just stop being funny? Please? Could you just stop now? You mentioned
- 26:11that I got to tell you this is my last funny story of him.
- 26:14His junior year, he was running for most Humorous, and of course he
- 26:18didn't win first, so he didn't win, so he got second place in
- 26:22it. He was so disappointed his senior year he said, Mom, I'm
- 26:26going to get it. I am going to get I'm going to get an
- 26:30award for this. I'm like, so you're winning an award for disrupting class.
- 26:36That just doesn't sound like a good thing to me. You know.
- 26:40Well, needless to say, year he got an award, of course,
- 26:44he was like, so, Mom, are you going to miss work to
- 26:45come and watch me, you know, get this award? I said,
- 26:48of course, some of the other girls have gotten perfect attendance, you know,
- 26:52all a's and so forth. But he is so proud of this most
- 26:56humorous in his senior year. Needless to say, of course, I'm going
- 27:00to say, now I feel bad. I did not go because I'm like,
- 27:04so I'm gonna sit there and watch my son, this disrupted class get
- 27:08up there and get an award for it. I'm sorry, I just can't
- 27:11couldn't see myself doing it. But he was so proud of that that he
- 27:15got Most Humorous So in his senior year. So, oh, there's one
- 27:18of his teachers. Well, I'll say this. Margaret says that she taught
- 27:23him and he was a joy. So well, he's probably a funny joy.
- 27:27Probably is what she really wants to say. I mean funny. He's
- 27:33not a bad thing. No, it's not bad, but it's not bad.
- 27:38He's had to run a lot with the coaches because the teachers call me
- 27:41and I'm like, make him run, send him to his coach. I
- 27:45don't want to tell him what I'm let's tell him. Stop laughing, you
- 27:48know. Oh everybody's being so yeah, I'd love our crew. Our crew
- 27:56is like you know, if I mentioned throw some hearts in the chat,
- 28:03they truly you know, they truly want to help, and that they love
- 28:07they love the fact that you guys are here. So I'm glad that you're
- 28:11here. And if here come the hearts, they're coming their way. Uh,
- 28:18Terry, you want to you want to continue on? Oh, maybe
- 28:23you jumped in. I've had people. I've had people tell me, you
- 28:29know, I don't know how to ask or what to say or should I
- 28:32say. I said, ask me whatever question you want to ask. If
- 28:37I know the answer, I'll tell you. If I don't know the answer,
- 28:41I'll tell you. I said, I'm appreciative of the fact that you're
- 28:45asking about him. So you're not going to upset me, You're not going
- 28:49to hurt my feelings. I love the fact that you're asking about him.
- 28:53And I tell everybody that, and my mom has told me literally thousands of
- 29:02times. You know, I just don't see how you're holding up as well
- 29:04as you are. And I was like, what choice do I have,
- 29:10you know, I mean, it's it is what it is. This is
- 29:14where we are. I can't dwell on it, you know, I've got
- 29:18to keep on and sugar con sugar. I'm just gonna have to say,
- 29:30I'm not sure a kid would love that, but I love it. So
- 29:36I love it. Now, before we get into a lot of stuff,
- 29:41I do want to ask. So everybody that I've had the pleasure to speak
- 29:47to has told me what a great person Chase was. That he would literally
- 29:52give you the shirt off of his back, even if he didn't have another
- 29:55one to put on, and you want to show off his abs? Oh?
- 30:00Was that what it was? Okay? Now, he was a good
- 30:03looking guy. I mean, I'm not going to lie and you know,
- 30:08say he's not. In fact, my neighbor was over here earlier and I
- 30:12have I have a board where I've got a picture of Chase and people I'm
- 30:18interested in talking to, and I have a board, right, and she
- 30:22goes, he's kind of cute in me and I'm like, he is,
- 30:26And I feel very dirty thinking that because of the age. But he's he
- 30:30was an attractive guy, and he wasn't, apparently shared to you know,
- 30:33scared to show it off because I guess he did some body building there for
- 30:38a little bit, right, Yeah, yes, ma'am. So he definitely
- 30:42wasn't shy about showing off those apps. He wasn't, but I have to
- 30:48ask. And he was also a very skinny guy when he was younger.
- 30:55Did he eat you guys out of house and home? Oh my god?
- 30:57Yes. But he was always on the go, he was always moving.
- 31:03He was not one to just sit there for hours and you know, play
- 31:06on his Xbox. He was out there riding his bike, his skateboard.
- 31:10He's playing softball, playing baseball, always doing something, always well. And
- 31:15you say baseball, How did he go from baseball into because if I remember
- 31:23correctly, and I'm pretty sure I do because I'm a little emotional, he
- 31:27was playing in a softball league right around the time that he disappeared. How
- 31:33did he go from baseball to softball? Because I'll be honest, I'm not
- 31:38that intelligent when it comes to baseball and softball, and the softball much bigger
- 31:44because I played softball for a couple of years. Wasn't good at it.
- 31:48I didn't think guys played softball. Oh yeah, softball big, big time.
- 31:53It's a co ed league too, so that's for the girls and the
- 31:56guys. Okay, So he did that after high school? Yes, yes,
- 32:02yes, Now was it a traveling league? Was it just their local
- 32:12because I know somebody it was primarily local. Okay. They they did have
- 32:19some guys that wanted to go play in a tournament out of state, and
- 32:25they got a group of people together and they asked Chase to join them,
- 32:30and he jumped out the chance, and he said, yeah, I want
- 32:32to go win a ring. And they did and he went to New Mexico
- 32:43I believe it was, and played played in New Mexico and they won the
- 32:47championship. And like I said, it was something he always wanted to do,
- 32:52was win a ring every year since he was four years old when he
- 32:57started playing t ball. The champion that that league champion had a banner put
- 33:06up at the field with all the kids' names on it, all the coaches,
- 33:09this, that and the other. And he had his name on every
- 33:15field in Crosby at one time, from t ball to what was it Majors?
- 33:22Yeah, wasn't it Majors was the biggest league that had or a pony
- 33:27or colt or whatever. But like I said, he had his name on
- 33:31every field at that Crosby complex. Do y'all spend a lot of time at
- 33:37the baseball and softball fields? That sounds like, oh yeah, oh yeah?
- 33:42And the summers because he'd make All Stars. Yeah, every year,
- 33:45every year except maybe the first year. Well, I'm just going to tell
- 33:50your your daughters that I'm sorry for them because my brother did all of those
- 33:55same things. And let me tell you summer was all about him. He
- 34:00made All Stars and I was like, well, hey, have that me
- 34:02here? I mean, I got to go to the games. Another funny
- 34:10story, my parents at the time were living in Colorado, and I would
- 34:17call mom at night and give her an update on, you know, how
- 34:22he did and how the team was doing and everything. And apparently I was
- 34:28rather animated about it, according to her, because she says, we need
- 34:34to go to Texas. Dad says what she said, we need to go
- 34:37to Texas. He goes for what she goes, Chase is playing in a
- 34:42championship game tomorrow, and we need to be there. He says, that's
- 34:46twelve hundred miles. She says, yeah, he said, we can't make
- 34:52it there in time. He said, yeah, we can. I can
- 34:53go up there and throw some clothes in a suitcase right quick, and we'll
- 34:55jump in the car and you drive to get tired, and then you know,
- 35:00I'll sleep, and then I'll drive and you sleep, and you know,
- 35:02we'll switch all we can get there. And Debbie, I'm sure you
- 35:06remember this, but my mom and dad got there before we got to the
- 35:09park, and they parked way away from us and was watching for us to
- 35:15come in the game was fixed and start and they come walking up and my
- 35:21mom leaned over and excuse me, are these seats taken? I didn't even
- 35:24recognize my mother. I was so blown away. I just talked to you,
- 35:28you know, fifteen twelve, fifteen hours ago, and now here you
- 35:34are walking up to the baseball field to watch him play baseball. This was
- 35:37a T ball game, a T ball championship game. Is it tee ball?
- 35:44Like the little bitty guys? And it's the ball sitting on the Okay,
- 35:46I just either one of my kids played. It was five years old.
- 35:51Five years old. But wow, that's some that's some dedication. Absolutely
- 36:00absolutely, And guys, nobody panic. I didn't fire JT or keep him
- 36:06on. He's done, he's out of here. He's like, Terry,
- 36:09you're just over the top today. Can't do it. So did I have
- 36:15to ask? Was he interested in sports from like day one? Because my
- 36:22brother was eighteen months older than me. But I have to tell you,
- 36:24I don't ever remember him not having a baseball, basketball, or football in
- 36:29his hands. Every memory I have of him as a child had something.
- 36:35So my thought is they're just born with a ball in their hands. If
- 36:38they're going to be that way. He had from the day he was born.
- 36:45He had large or i'll say not large, but long fingers. And
- 36:52I was like, you know, he's gonna be able to grip a ball,
- 36:54he's gonna be able to you know, pitch, throw a ball,
- 36:58and this, that and the other. But from a very young age,
- 37:01he was throwing balls in the house accurate. I mean, he wasn't knocking
- 37:07stuff over and breaking things. He was accurate. I mean, does he
- 37:10know you don't throw balls in the house. I'm sure you told us all
- 37:15the time. Okay, I was like the balls of the house. It
- 37:27was fine because he didn't hit things. He was thrown to the target whatever
- 37:31it was, you know, at his sisters or throwing it to me or
- 37:35whatever. He hit the target, plain and simple. He didn't ever break
- 37:38anything or knocking a lamp over or break a picture frame. It was you
- 37:43know, he had just unbelievable control the day won I know, like a
- 37:50progative. Sisters, whatever was moving. How did they feel about being the
- 37:55target? Hopefully he didn't happy about it, but they got over with it.
- 38:02They don't with that. Oh my gosh. Now, tell us about
- 38:08June thirtieth, twenty seventeen, because the date of the softball game. Were
- 38:15you both there that night or just Craig. Greg was there, and I
- 38:21believe Heather was there. Heather with her husband at the time. Yeah,
- 38:25so Craig tell us about that. He he called me and said, hey,
- 38:32if you're gonna be around, I've got, you know, softball game
- 38:37there at the sports complex. You know, you want to come out and
- 38:39watch. And I didn't have any plans. I said, yeah, I'll
- 38:43come up there and check it out. And he was doing what he loved.
- 38:52I mean, he was out there playing ball, competing and had a
- 38:57great game. And it was a doubleheader, and I couldn't stay for the
- 39:02second game. I said, all right, boys, So I said,
- 39:07you know, I'd love to stay for the second game, but you know,
- 39:09I got to get home and you know, I get ready for work
- 39:12tomorrow. And he gave me one of his patented beer bread one of his
- 39:16patented beer big bear hugs and said, I love you, Pop. And
- 39:24that was the last time I've seen her hurting from that day. But he
- 39:30seemed normal. I mean, like I said, he was out there playing
- 39:35the game and giving it as all and didn't seem like he had a care
- 39:37in the world as far as what was bubbling under the surface, which you
- 39:44know, obviously we had no idea about and didn't find out about until after
- 39:50all this nightmare started. But you know, he was running like a gazelle
- 39:57like he always did, and was you know, hit a ball and just
- 40:00scoot around the bases, and it's the typical Chase baseball game, you know.
- 40:08He, like I said, everything seemed fine to me. H didn't
- 40:17have any qualms about anything. You know. Whenever I left that night,
- 40:22you know, we said our goodbye, told me to love me, and
- 40:25you know that was that was it. But I'm just I'm so glad that,
- 40:35you know, I went out there that night because who knew that was
- 40:38gonna be the last time I saw him. Yeah, Oh my gosh.
- 40:45And I'm sure I'm sure you've played that night over and over in your mind,
- 40:51and I really I don't want to make you have to do it again.
- 40:53Really, no, It's like I it does not bother me to talk
- 41:01about it any of this, you know, Like I said, I I'm
- 41:07appreciative of people asking about him and you know, keeping his name out there
- 41:14and keeping this you know, investigation going and getting answers and all that.
- 41:20So I've got no problem at all. Ask me anything you want to ask.
- 41:23And like I said, if I know the answer, I'll tell you.
- 41:27If I don't, I'll tell you that as well. But like I
- 41:29said, it you're not going to upset me or you know, bring back
- 41:32horrible memories or this, that and the other. Like I said, we're
- 41:37in this situation because he made bad choices. I talked loud blew on the
- 41:43face to him about this kind of stuff. He chose to ignore it.
- 41:47So here we are. Some people may be watching, he's like, wow,
- 41:52that's really cold hearted dad saying that. You know, No, I'm
- 41:55a realist. I don't sugarcoat things. Debby can tell you for the number
- 42:00of years that we were married. I'm blunt. I tell it the way
- 42:04it is. You don't like it, I'm sorry, but you don't want
- 42:07to answer, don't ask me the question because I'm gonna give you my my
- 42:14answer, you know, from the heart, and you don't think you can
- 42:19handle it, and don't ask it. But like I said, this whole
- 42:22situation to me has been just a matter of fact. He made bad choices.
- 42:29This is where we are. I can't go back and change his choices.
- 42:32I can't change anything about it. So you know, that's basically the
- 42:40bottom line. That's definitely and that's you know, you were mentioning choices and
- 42:47things, and I know that that's a layer, right that just kind of
- 42:51rests on top of this, And I was you know, I'm wondering if
- 42:54if you would be comfortable either you were or Debbie talking about kind of some
- 43:00of those things that because you you had mentioned that you didn't know much about
- 43:04this until afterwards. I didn't know about any Yeah, we didn't know anything.
- 43:12Yeah, I'm wondering if you would you would be okay with kind of
- 43:14talking about some of those things that you you discovered. Sure, well,
- 43:22before we do that, just to kind of keep it in frame, do
- 43:27we want to first talk about what caused you first to suspect something wasn't right
- 43:34and that he was missing, because I think that'll kind of lead us,
- 43:37yeah, into all of that. Okay, Yes, So yeah, if
- 43:44you'll excuse me just a minut I'm going to leave the frame for just a
- 43:46minute. I'll be right back. Yeah, it was me that sat there
- 43:50and was texting him matter of fact, because I mean, I've changed phones
- 43:53several times since he's been gone, and I've made sure that I go to
- 43:57the at and T stored it for them to do it. So I have
- 44:00all of his text messages. That is crucial to me because I go back
- 44:04and look at it all the time. So, but I had been texting
- 44:07him because he said he was going to be working in California, but he
- 44:10hadn't done his taxes yet, me staying on his butt, saying, get
- 44:15your taxes done, get your taxes done before you go. He had asked
- 44:19me, Mom, how do you feel about me going and working in California?
- 44:22I said, son, you don't have any children, you're not married.
- 44:25Go and enjoy it, you know, go and you know he goes,
- 44:29yep, won't you miss me? I said, I'll go see you
- 44:30and you can come home and see me. So he was telling me he
- 44:34was doing the drug test and getting ready for all. That is what he
- 44:37was telling me. And the dates on that was like June, I wrote
- 44:42him down. I had asked him on the thirtieth, well, let's see,
- 44:45it was the twenty sixth is when we started. I talked to him
- 44:47the twenty fifth, the twenty sixth. The twenty seventh, he had said
- 44:52he got in from a football game at I mean a baseball game at from
- 44:53Amarillo or softball game from Amarillo, and it got in really late, and
- 44:58I said, well, how'd you go to work the next day? He
- 45:00goes, it was hard, but I did it, and then he sat
- 45:04there and I texted him again him that said on the twenty ninth, and
- 45:07then I asked him on the thirtieth, I said, hey, text me
- 45:09when you're on your way to work. Because I always left the house at
- 45:13five o'clock five point thirty and he had to be to work at six,
- 45:16so he would sometimes call me in the morning. Well, he didn't call
- 45:20me that day, and so I text him back and said, hey,
- 45:22did you handle the irs stuff? I did that on and I got nothing.
- 45:28That was on the first. On the second, I sent him a
- 45:30message and said I tried calling you and you still haven't called me back.
- 45:35And then on the fourth I texted him and said call me. Damn it,
- 45:37I'm freaking out. And that's whenever I asked the girls, I said,
- 45:43hey, has anybody talked to your brother? And they said no,
- 45:45And so I put it on Facebook and said, has anybody seen or talked
- 45:49to Chase lately? And I believe that some of his softball buddies that played
- 45:53with Heather's husband at the time, they all kind of got together and said,
- 45:58Hey, I know where he's got a spare key. Let's go over
- 46:00there. So they all went ahead and went over there, and my other
- 46:02daughter Stephanie went and joined him. I lived in Rosenberg, so I was
- 46:07an hour and fifteen minutes away when they were all like twenty and thirty minutes
- 46:09away. So they went and that's when they got into the sliding glass door
- 46:15and they went into the place and like I said, that's when we discovered
- 46:20he wasn't there. Truck was, their wallet, everything had been there.
- 46:25So that's when that started happening. Some of the friends that were there were
- 46:30really good friends of his. And I believe you've talked to him. Terry
- 46:35Brandon and his wife at the time was Erica, and they talked they saw
- 46:38him all the time, and they said, you know, we thought y'all
- 46:42knew, you know, what he was doing, and they said, he
- 46:44hasn't done ironwork. He had and work since January and we're, like I
- 46:49said, he just told me he was working just the other day, and
- 46:52they're like, no, he wasn't. So they said he's been going back
- 46:54and forth to California and doing this stuff. And he said he kept saying
- 47:01that he was coming and that he was looking over his shoulder. Somebody had
- 47:07told me that. At the baseball game, they asked him if he was
- 47:10going to get in the next league and he said, no, I'm gonna
- 47:14have to skip it because I got some stuff going on that I need to
- 47:16take care of. And Craig said he didn't remember him saying that, but
- 47:20I remember them telling me that. And then I had tried to go in
- 47:25and follow a missing person report. I told Craig, you know what all
- 47:29we found and blah blah blah, and I went to the police department to
- 47:32follow a police a missing person's report because none of us could get a hold
- 47:37of him, and they said it's best to just put it on Facebook.
- 47:42You'll get a quicker response just putting it on Facebook. So that's when we
- 47:45went and said, hey, if anybody's talked to him, I'm really getting
- 47:47concerned. Not that I had that bad, bad, gut wrenching feeling in
- 47:52my stomach that something was bad. But just the fact he had not gotten
- 47:57with me in three or four, almost four or five days, and I'm
- 48:00going to say, has he done it before? He's done it for two
- 48:04or three where he's like, mom, I lost my phone, my gosh,
- 48:07you know, or it got ran over by somebody's tired because I'd put
- 48:10it on the trunk, or my phone died. So it was typical stuff
- 48:14that he would do. But he's never gone this long without you know,
- 48:17calling me and especially me saying I'm freaking out, I need you to call
- 48:22me U. He would have definitely called me or something like that or text
- 48:25me back and said, hey, I'm good, you know, more or
- 48:28less leave me alone, you know, I'm busy. But so that was
- 48:32the moment. Well, I did the face. I mean, I did
- 48:35the Facebook deal. I told Craig what the police department said, and of
- 48:38course he was like bs. He said, we're filing a police We're filing
- 48:42a missing person's report. So he went up there again the next day.
- 48:45I went to the apartments at that time and said I need to get in,
- 48:50and she said, well, we're going to let you in because you're
- 48:52you know, his emergency contact. So she let me in, and uh,
- 48:59you know, they are told me things that they had found in the
- 49:00apartment and stuff. But she let me in to walk around because I hadn't
- 49:04been in there yet. So I got to walk around in there, and
- 49:07she said, well, I mean his lease is up, and you know
- 49:09he was doing month by month. That's up in like two days. And
- 49:13so I said, well, I need to get a key, and she
- 49:15said, well, you can only get a key if you're willing to pay
- 49:17for the next month's rent. So I was like, all right, oh,
- 49:22there goes thirteen hundred dollars to do that. And then a few days
- 49:24later the power went off, so of course then we needed to keep going
- 49:29in and out and just I mean I didn't want to shut everything down because
- 49:31what if he's literally out of town and he doesn't have a phone, you
- 49:35know, and anyone would come home. And of course we realized his truck
- 49:38was there, I mean just literally everything was there. And then we found
- 49:42his wallet, driver's license, keys to the truck, I mean, just
- 49:45everything was there. We knew then something's wrong. So and the police didn't
- 49:52want to do fingerprints of anything in the apartment because they said too many people
- 49:54had been in there. We said, we can give you names of everybody
- 49:58that's been in here that we that came in here that and there was probably
- 50:01five people that went in there. And they're like, no, that's that's
- 50:05just too many people, you know, And you've already been touching things.
- 50:08Yeah, And I'm gonna try very hard to watch my mouth. But I
- 50:16remember the first time you told me that the apartments made you pay for that
- 50:20next month. The audacity of them asking you to do that. I mean,
- 50:28when you sign a lease. I remember, back when I was younger
- 50:30and doing apartments, they gave away, oh, a month here free,
- 50:34a month there free. What in the hell possessed them to think they needed
- 50:40to charge you a month's rent, like you said, maybe, I mean,
- 50:45maybe had got in a car wreck and he was in the hospital somewhere
- 50:47and maybe back in a week, maybe flight got delayed because he flew out
- 50:52of town since she didn't know he was, you know, doing all that
- 50:55that. I have to tell you, I've thought about make can post to
- 51:00say don't go rent there because if something happens to you. I remember you
- 51:07saying that, and you said you weren't going to call them out because maybe
- 51:08it's a corporate policy blah blah blah. But at the time it was called
- 51:14aveer. Is that right, Debbie. I think it's something like that,
- 51:19add I and I has changed. Yeah, it's it's something else now it
- 51:24is, but at the time it was a veneer or something to that effect.
- 51:30Well we can call them out then, because if it was a corporate
- 51:31policy, it's a bad policy. Absolutely no help whatsoever. Just like you
- 51:38mentioned, you know, they they give you whatever to get you in there,
- 51:44you know, free rent for a month or two months, you know,
- 51:46no deposit, blah blah blah whatever. But in our situation, they
- 51:53did absolutely nothing, no help whatsoever, and we're snotty in the process of
- 51:59it. Yeah, that's all I was getting ready to say, correct me
- 52:01if I'm wrong, because I don't have all my stuff in front of me.
- 52:05Didn't they also make you take down the missing flyers? No, they
- 52:08took them down. We had one of the girls that offered to sit there
- 52:15and have them printed, and she ran a bunch of them. And I'm
- 52:19not sure she's on here. And Ainta's Hayley. I believe you've been talking.
- 52:22I think you've talked to her, probably really sweet thing. But she
- 52:24put her time and effort into going all over the apartment and putting them in
- 52:29there, and putting them in surrounding areas, and for somebody to tell us
- 52:32the following day they were all taken down. And yet you paid for a
- 52:36month's rent for an apartment that wasn't being used. And if they let you
- 52:40put up these missing flyers and the person has found, maybe they'll keep renting
- 52:45from you. Yeah, I mean, I just sorry. I didn't.
- 52:52I just had to get another key to his mailbox too, because I wanted
- 52:57to see was there anything at all they charged you? Yeah, j D
- 53:07I'm gonna let you talk or I go to jail for saying curse words.
- 53:14I've had a lot of experiences from uh Lisa. You're right, Lisa.
- 53:17Lisa. Lisa's from UH, from Wales, and she's tuning in. She's
- 53:23been following along with everybody else. She's lovely Lisa. But I think everybody's
- 53:28feeling I think everybody's feeling the same way right now. It's wrong, it's
- 53:32horrible, it's unbelievable. Boycot them worthless place to rent from, you know
- 53:39what, never even heard of it. But Uh, I'm gonna agree,
- 53:42because well, should I put up this comment that says what it's called now,
- 53:46a's a freaking stone ridge belt? Wait eight yep, that is it
- 53:55now? Now that I know the name has changed that, I'm thinking they
- 54:02may have changed ownership. But of course we know. I mean, either
- 54:06look into that or I'm gonna have somebody else do it. Because when I
- 54:09went I guess it's been a couple of months now, and I went by
- 54:14and was trying to knock on doors. They did have somebody ask me to
- 54:17stop soliciting, and when I told them I wasn't soliciting that I was trying
- 54:25to talk to people to see if they knew the person who went missing,
- 54:29and they reminded me that it was private property, and I did what I
- 54:35do often, you know. I just rubbed my eyes with a special finger
- 54:39and got in my car and figured I can find out. I can find
- 54:44these people online just as easy. But yeah, nobody needs to live there,
- 54:50and I'm sorry. They can come at me if they want. I
- 54:52can send them my address. It's online. If you go to our page
- 54:58True Crime and Wine Time, it has our postal at rest. Mail me
- 55:00a letter and tell me to shut up. I'd love to write it,
- 55:04but you have to subscribe first. Oh no, our website that don't even
- 55:07have to subscribe thing, just get our all dress because you know, I
- 55:12do need some kindling to help start by fire. Now that it's cooled off
- 55:15and our burn bands lifted, yay. So I I just I have to
- 55:24ask, Debbie, did you not want to just go off on them and
- 55:30they told you not only did you have to pay rent, but you had
- 55:35to pay for a key. How did you rent? I did, But
- 55:37I mean at the same time, I mean, I just did not want
- 55:40to lose his apartment at all. So I just I mean, because again
- 55:45I didn't know if he was just out there or what's going on. Oh
- 55:49hey, Garland, what's up? Hey Garland? I mean, just not
- 55:54to interrupt, but Garland was one that really got a guy involved in a
- 55:59search right away. So within I think a day or two, he sat
- 56:02there and helped get us somebody to conduct the Sparrows. Heros well, Debbie,
- 56:12the other character I found out my nephew helped you that first search.
- 56:20He went with Sparrow. I just found that out last week, and I,
- 56:24like I said, there's just so many of these little connections that keep
- 56:28happening. I don't know if people are spiritual religious, if you think there's
- 56:32something above whatever you believe in, there is something that just keeps connecting and
- 56:38telling me that we did the right thing and wanting to do this, and
- 56:44those apartments are just horrible people. It was just a calling. I guess
- 56:47it brought us all together, but I was upset. But I mean,
- 56:52like I said, it's it was just a start of everything, and I
- 56:54was just hoping things weren't going to turn out like this, thinking oh,
- 56:58he's gonna be gone for a couple of weeks, or he's gonna be gone
- 57:00for three weeks. You just don't think about it being six and a half
- 57:04years later and you're still in this mess. Yeah. Yeah, you had
- 57:21mentioned kind of going into Chase's apartment. Was there anything that you noticed was
- 57:30at a place different missing? Had you been before and had an idea of
- 57:35what might have been missing or out of place? If I had been in
- 57:39there right after he moved in, and I don't believe any of the girls
- 57:43had gone. I think a couple of his friends had gone. I mean
- 57:47whenever we were emptying it out. I mean, it's like clothes were there,
- 57:52all of his shoes were there. I mean, Craig and I are
- 57:53the ones that packed everything up. So packed it up, threw it away,
- 57:58gave it away or whatever, because I mean, this was what did
- 58:01I do pay for two months rent, three months rent, whatever it was.
- 58:05I know for a while people had people had mentioned wanting to, you
- 58:12know, buy some of the furniture and stuff. And I told Debbie,
- 58:15I said, sell whatever you can sell. He owes you money, get
- 58:20it whatever you can get. You know, I'm fine with I said,
- 58:22I don't want any of it. I don't need any of it. So
- 58:27if you can sell it, get some of recoup some of your money that
- 58:30you have that you put out on this, I said, it's all all
- 58:34yours, you know, go for it. And when back when all this
- 58:39started, I believe it was Heather texting me, says, have you heard
- 58:45from Chase? And I said no, And so that's when I started calling
- 58:52and texting him because I didn't talk to him on a daily basis or maybe
- 58:55even a weekly basis. He would come over to the house to see the
- 59:00younger siblings and his phone would be blown up, and I was like,
- 59:07damn you know, everybody's wanting to get a hold of you, you know,
- 59:13because like you said, I mean, he was a good looking kid,
- 59:15and I'm like, get it, boy, you know, and do
- 59:19it now? Why you can't because it ain't gonna last forever. But kay,
- 59:23I thought the same thing when you said his poem was blown up.
- 59:27I'm like, I'd have been proud. I'd have been like, see,
- 59:32I told you we were kept from the same cloth. But and he he
- 59:38would come over and you know, spend a few hours with the kids,
- 59:43and I wished I wouldn't know you were going to do that video montage with
- 59:47the pictures, because I had one where he's laying in my kitchen floor up
- 59:52against the cabinets and Captain's dressed him up or whatever. I mean, it
- 1:00:00is the cutest picture and I'll send it to you, but please, I
- 1:00:04mean, it was just like I said, Well, never we found out
- 1:00:08that we were pregnant, my current wife, Shelley asked him. She goes,
- 1:00:15what do you want a baby, a boy or a girl? And
- 1:00:20he said, I hope it's a boy. And she asked him, she
- 1:00:22said, why do you hope it's a boy? He said, I've got
- 1:00:25sisters. I've never had a brother before. I mean it just you know,
- 1:00:30oh man, it just hit me. And it was a boy and
- 1:00:40like I said, he looks up to him like he hung the moon.
- 1:00:45I mean just And for the most I haven't maybe seen it. I did
- 1:00:51share the video of him talking at one of them they all had where he's
- 1:00:58talking about his brother the pizza. So if you haven't seen it on the
- 1:01:04Facebook page, you can go and look. Sorry, no, it's I
- 1:01:09understand. I said, I'm tearing up. There was. Everybody was crying
- 1:01:15there that night. But the thing that killed me with that video was when
- 1:01:22Seth said and then I threw up, And that always gets me. But
- 1:01:30hey, he ate something like two in a quarter or something, didn't he?
- 1:01:36Hey mean that's all about a pizza. Yeah, so he was oh
- 1:01:45what like seven at the time we did that video, six and a half
- 1:01:49years almost okay, ten sou he's fixing the turn sixteen. So now when
- 1:01:57y'all started asking people about Taste missing, you know, like Brandon than them
- 1:02:02and Erica you know went into the apartment, what what was that like?
- 1:02:07And what were you hearing? Were people offering to help look for him?
- 1:02:13Give you information as far as go ahead, as far as the offering to
- 1:02:21help, Like Debbie said, Garland knew this guy Spiro's and he's got a
- 1:02:28long last name that I cannot pronounce. And I'm sorry, Spiros, if
- 1:02:30you're happy to lea listening, but I've never been able to pronounce your name,
- 1:02:34and I don't want to butcher it on this live video. So uh,
- 1:02:37Spiros, I can pronounce, and I know how to say that,
- 1:02:40so everybody knows you and know who knows who I'm talking about. But he
- 1:02:45said, you know I can get you know, X number of people together,
- 1:02:49and you know we can we can go look tomorrow, you know I'll
- 1:02:52have them, have them there. Yeah, and he did. I mean,
- 1:02:55he came through and we searched all the green Belt area around his apartments
- 1:03:01and it was, you know, just phenomenal. Said, everybody has just
- 1:03:10been unbelievable with him. Like I said starting this video, the amount of
- 1:03:19people that have you know, sent us messages and you know, responded on
- 1:03:23his Chase Allen like he's missing page. Just the sheer volume of people just
- 1:03:31blows my mind. I have tried my best to answer every message possible and
- 1:03:42since y'all have taken over this case and have drummed up so much interest in
- 1:03:45it and found out so much stuff for us. You know, it's literally
- 1:03:51gotten overwhelming, and I've just had to start going in there and you know,
- 1:03:55hearting all the all the posts for the prayers and stuff about. You
- 1:03:59know, it's it's hard, guys that you know, to tell you it's
- 1:04:04overwhelming. I was talking to JT yesterday, I'm like, we need to
- 1:04:10ramp it up because there's a lot that we haven't responded to. We normally
- 1:04:15I like to go and do that too, but the response has just been
- 1:04:18overwhelming, just overwhelming. I mean, and you've seen, you know,
- 1:04:26people commenting all the time. You know, I don't know Chase, I've
- 1:04:29never met him. I don't know y'all, but you know, this just
- 1:04:31really, you know, touches me. And you know, I'm so sorry
- 1:04:34you're going through this. And like I said, I've gone in a time
- 1:04:41or two and just made a pose, you know, for everybody's responding or
- 1:04:45you know, with an emoji or what have you. I said, if
- 1:04:49you're so inclined and this, you know, this situation moves you scroll over
- 1:04:56to the right just a little bit and hit that share button, you know,
- 1:05:00get out there on your feed and you know, try to spread it
- 1:05:03even wider than it has. And I know Kenneth Mungle, which I think
- 1:05:13you saw his post Terry, he was friends with Chase before I was friends
- 1:05:20with Kenny, and I didn't find that out until just recently. Just the
- 1:05:26other day, I was talking to Kenny, but like I said, they
- 1:05:31were basically Facebook friends and they were chatting back and forth. I had no
- 1:05:38idea whenever I met Kenny. It was to another mutual friend that Kenny and
- 1:05:42I had, and he you know, offered up the ten kde of and
- 1:05:51just you know, blew my mind. I mean, like I said,
- 1:05:57everybody that met him loved him, pure and simple. Like I said,
- 1:06:02he was definitely the feeling that I'm getting. Sorry, it didn't mean to
- 1:06:08cut you off, No, no, it's fine. He uh. He
- 1:06:13just had an infectious personality that you know that people gravitated towards him. And
- 1:06:19to hear those thugs saying, oh, you know, we weren't that close
- 1:06:25and you know this, that and the other, I just well, don't
- 1:06:29go there yet. We're not ready for that. We're going to get into
- 1:06:33the little poss and that's what I have named them, ass hat and pos
- 1:06:39stuff. Absolutely, I'm not going to tell you which ones which, but
- 1:06:44I'll let j t ask go on and keep going. But I'm going to
- 1:06:47just say I've given them names. Well, and I'm i'm I am interested
- 1:06:54in this, and and W brought it up in terms of what at this
- 1:07:00point it sounds like what the police didn't do. But my question in terms
- 1:07:04of like fingerprints and things. But you know, when they were informed and
- 1:07:10maybe in the subsequent like weeks, what did they do, you know,
- 1:07:15to find to try and find Chase. Well, we gave them the name,
- 1:07:20just like we did Terry, and I believe they went around and said
- 1:07:25they were talking to a few people. I mean Craig was more talking to
- 1:07:29them than than myself. I mean Craig was relaying that information to me.
- 1:07:32So I guess I should let Craig really take over on that. As far
- 1:07:35as what all they did, I would like to know that, as I
- 1:07:40would like to know that as well. To be quite honest, Well,
- 1:07:44let me tell yah. Every time we had a meeting with them, we
- 1:07:48would ask questions. They said, well, it's an ongoing investigation and we
- 1:07:54can't disclose that, then why are we here? And that was their pat,
- 1:08:00standard pat response every time we asked a question. All right, guys,
- 1:08:05I think she's laughing at my I got something in my eye. Well
- 1:08:11I can spot. Yeah, seventy nine pages is not enough documentation in my
- 1:08:20book for somebody who's been missing six years. And I won't get on my
- 1:08:25soapbox about that yet, but it's coming. I'll let chat keep asking questions
- 1:08:30before I bring out my soapbox, and I'll try to keep my fingers in
- 1:08:34check because Harris Counties needs to step up their game. Well, I was
- 1:08:41very patient with him for a very very, very long time, and finally
- 1:08:47I say, this is BS, I've had enough and email the sheriff,
- 1:08:55you know, and I was like, we need an something. What are
- 1:09:00y'all doing? What's what's happening? You know? This, that and the
- 1:09:03other. And like I said, they have undeniably hard job. I get
- 1:09:12that. That's why I was patient for so long. They have a huge
- 1:09:15area to cover. They've got literally thousands of missing people from this in this
- 1:09:20area that they have to cover, and you know, it's a daunting task.
- 1:09:26I get it, but be honest and say that. That's my whole
- 1:09:30thing. Just be honest, Well, give us something like every time Debbie
- 1:09:36and I ask a question, well, it's not ongoing to investigation, we
- 1:09:41can't disclose that. And that was all they were given us. They weren't
- 1:09:45telling us who they were talking to or you know, anything, and it
- 1:09:50just got to be a point of being ridiculous. So yeah, like I
- 1:09:56said, and that's one of the things like I would be. I would
- 1:10:00obviously be a terrible a terrible detective because if somebody, if you hell,
- 1:10:06had called me, I would be much along the lines of here's what we're
- 1:10:11doing so far, this is kind of who we might have been talking to.
- 1:10:15And I would probably get apparently get in trouble because the stock answer of
- 1:10:21this is an ongoing investigation just doesn't work for me because it doesn't tell you
- 1:10:26anything. It doesn't tell you what they're doing. Even if they were like,
- 1:10:30yes, we've done we've done these things, we spent this much time
- 1:10:32talking to these people or looking into that's something like don't just give that answer
- 1:10:39that we all hear on Netflix, which is like this is ongoing, we
- 1:10:42can't tell you. I'm like, what do you mean you can't tell them
- 1:10:45that's the family. So I'm the principal. I'm one of the principles here.
- 1:10:48You know, you can tell me, tell me something right now.
- 1:10:54And I get that they don't want to jeopardize a case and potentially having to
- 1:11:00go to court if something happens. But just like I'll be honest. I
- 1:11:05was interviewing someone yesterday this case and that person said, so, who else
- 1:11:10have you talked to? Well, here was my response. I've talked to
- 1:11:14several of his family members. I've talked to a couple of male friends,
- 1:11:19a couple of female friends, some ex'es, some coworkers, and I found
- 1:11:25out a lot of great information. The police could do the same damn thing.
- 1:11:29Excuse my French, but they don't have to compromise a case. But
- 1:11:33they can still tell you. I've talked to four people in this category.
- 1:11:36Two people in this category trying to talk to this person. They won't respond.
- 1:11:42And that's the part that just gets my goat. You don't need to
- 1:11:47give a patent answer. It's an ongoing investigation. We don't want to jeopardize
- 1:11:51the case. You can give information without giving critical details. Absolutely. One
- 1:11:58of the struggles I've had in this case, is there's been information that we've
- 1:12:03had come in on tip lines and things that I can't immediately share or that
- 1:12:10we need to look into to see if it's a rumor or if it's a
- 1:12:13fact. But that doesn't mean I tell you guys nothing. You know,
- 1:12:19I you know, I just don't get why they do that. And one
- 1:12:25day I hope to get those questions answered, because they're on a list of
- 1:12:30questions I'm going to ask some day if I ever get the chance. But
- 1:12:34I'm just floored now. I do want to ask because we kind of excuse
- 1:12:42me, just one second, I saw that comment pop up from Melissa.
- 1:12:46Melissa, they have true crime in wine time has been heaven sent. To
- 1:12:53put it mildly, they are awesome. They you You have no idea what
- 1:13:00a blessing they've been to us. Trust me. Okay now I'm sorry,
- 1:13:03Go ahead, Terry. I'm just gonna say, you know, I'm not
- 1:13:09I've never had the words heaven sent used with me before because I'm usually the
- 1:13:13one that pisses people off and stirves the pot and more like the devil in
- 1:13:16the crown. So being heaven sent, I will take that. That is
- 1:13:21two comments I've had in the last week. Last weekend I got called arm
- 1:13:27candy for h H and now being heaven sent, I'm like, my mama
- 1:13:31is proud this week. I'm like, dang, this has been a good
- 1:13:40or that's what I want to know. Hey, I'm a Reese's peanut butter
- 1:13:45cut. Stop it now, you're making me blush terry. So I know
- 1:13:53we've kind of beat around the bush a little bit, but I want to
- 1:13:58ask. I'll ask you, Debbie, because I think you're the one who
- 1:14:00got the phone call first from your daughter. What was your reaction when you
- 1:14:05found out about what was found in Chase's apartment and what was found in his
- 1:14:13apartment? Well, and she, I mean when she called me, and
- 1:14:15of course they've never been around it. And I'm not gonna I mean,
- 1:14:18of course I'm gonna say I've been around it when I was growing up,
- 1:14:21I mean not growing up, but after high school, and so I know
- 1:14:25what. So anyway, she just made it sound like his whole apartment was
- 1:14:29full of weed, you know. And I went over there and I said,
- 1:14:31is this all you? Because well she sent me a picture and I
- 1:14:33said, is that all that is there? And I said, Heather,
- 1:14:38he wouldn't even be arrested on the road if he had that an him.
- 1:14:41So it was that the bottom moss the bottom mossure and a half long two
- 1:14:47inches long, and she was, well, I don't know what is and
- 1:14:51I said, well, it's not a lot of weed, you know.
- 1:14:55Uh. There was one hundred dollars bill laying on the coffee table. Like
- 1:14:59I said, we left everything there, And one of my text messages to
- 1:15:02him was, hey, we've been in your apartment, so don't be alarmed.
- 1:15:06We tried to leave everything where it was, and we think we know
- 1:15:10everything that's going on, so just call us. And still I've never heard
- 1:15:15anything else from him whatsoever. Were you surprised, you know, were you
- 1:15:23surprised about the money counter in finding out that it was more? He was
- 1:15:30more involved than just recreational. He didn't just have a little bit of small
- 1:15:33pot that he was smoking. Were you shocked to find that out? I
- 1:15:39was? I was, because again I thought he was still doing ironwork,
- 1:15:43but whenever they told me no, he hadn't been working since January. But
- 1:15:46of course he's always told me, you know that everything that Addison had and
- 1:15:51this and that, and how he just you know, gloated over everything.
- 1:15:55Addison had this day house and range rovers and this and that, and I'm
- 1:16:00like, son, I said, he's doing other stuff. You know,
- 1:16:02he's just doing stuff. So that's not the way to do it. I
- 1:16:06said, you know, you need to see. So whenever I heard he
- 1:16:10wasn't working, which that was in July, right when this all happened,
- 1:16:14that he hadn't been working, I wasn't surprised that that was the route he
- 1:16:17took, you know, especially then we found out later that he couldn't do
- 1:16:23ironwork anymore. And iron work was just his passion. He loved it,
- 1:16:28and he's a thrill seeker, like I said, And that was just he
- 1:16:30was a thrill seeker. Chase did everything, and he did it one hundred
- 1:16:34and ten percent. He wanted to get the biggest thrill out of everything,
- 1:16:39and that's just who he was. Now. I'm sure y'all know this,
- 1:16:44but I don't remember which one of his friends was talking to about him posting
- 1:16:49on social media breaking the rules of not tying off because he liked the adrenaline.
- 1:16:57He you know, wasn't a rental and it was it was. And
- 1:17:02I remember I told that person I was like, he may have been an
- 1:17:05adrenaline junkie, but he didn't think to the next step that that might get
- 1:17:10you fired, it might get you in some trouble. He was, and
- 1:17:16not just fired, but he was basically blacklisted that you know, he was
- 1:17:20not going to get another iron working job in Houston area period. He was
- 1:17:25basically blackballd And you know, you see all these idiots, I say idiots.
- 1:17:33You see all the younger generation posting stuff on social media, you know,
- 1:17:39and so and so was arrested the day because of a video he posted
- 1:17:42a pulling guns out, you know, and this that, and it's like,
- 1:17:45why would you post that? You know, that's just beyond stupid.
- 1:17:51But it's yep. Absolutely, But like I said, y'all were surprised,
- 1:18:03without a doubt that he got that involved in it. It sounds like when
- 1:18:13when my daughter sent me the picture that she had taken and she says,
- 1:18:16don't be upset. I was like, Okay, this ain't gonna be good.
- 1:18:20But she sent me the picture and that's when I went. I went
- 1:18:24over there, and when I saw the money counter, I was like,
- 1:18:32I want to say I made my peace with it, because I haven't in
- 1:18:35all honesty, but I was so incredibly pissed off that this is what he
- 1:18:43was doing. And he was moving apparently the large amounts of this stuff.
- 1:18:53And you don't need a money counter for, you know, selling diamon bags
- 1:18:58and that kind of stuff. You know, he was moving pounds of it.
- 1:19:02And I said, the minute I stepped from that apartment and I saw
- 1:19:11those things, I'm never gonna see him again playing simple. And everybody says,
- 1:19:18well, how are you dealing with this? You know, I said,
- 1:19:20probably I deal with being pissed off about it. You know, I'm
- 1:19:24so incredibly pissed off at him because he had come to me one time wanting
- 1:19:30to borrow some money because he supposedly had gotten robbed at gunpoint, and he
- 1:19:38owed somebody action number of dollars him and another guy, and they had to
- 1:19:46each come up with half of the money that you know, they were robbed
- 1:19:49of. And I said, let me talk to Shelley and I'll get back
- 1:19:57with you. Talk to Shelley about it, and she's said, yeah,
- 1:20:00let's help him out. So we did, and I said, we're going
- 1:20:09to loan you this money to get you out of this jack pot that you're
- 1:20:12in right now. But I said, you will pay it back. And
- 1:20:19like, I said, I've been to the apartment several times and I knew
- 1:20:24what he had of value. I said, you're going to bring me this,
- 1:20:28this, and this, and when you pay us money back, you'll
- 1:20:30get these things back. Said he took collateral, absold a lutely absolutely.
- 1:20:39I said, when you get these back, I said, when you pay
- 1:20:42us some money back, you'll get these items back. And I said you
- 1:20:45miss a payment. I said it's due. I said, don't make the
- 1:20:51payment where it's going to put you in a bind. I don't want you
- 1:20:55in a bind. But whatever amount you think you can afford, that's what
- 1:21:01the payment's going to be. We agreed on it, and he brought me
- 1:21:05the things. Once he did, we gave him the money, and one
- 1:21:12month he paid double what he was supposed to do, and I didn't hear
- 1:21:17from him the next month, so I called him. I said, you
- 1:21:23coming over tonight for what I said, you got a payment due. He
- 1:21:29was like, I paid you double last month. I said, yeah,
- 1:21:31he did. That means you owe one month less now than what you did
- 1:21:36before. But I said that payment is still due for this month. Well,
- 1:21:43I didn't know that. I said, now you do. So am
- 1:21:46I going to the pine shop and getting rid of this stuff to get my
- 1:21:49money or you coming over with the payment? No, I'll bring you.
- 1:21:51I'll bring you the payment. And he did, and he didn't pay extra
- 1:21:57anymore after that. But you know, he did pay everything back and we
- 1:22:00got money back and that was the end of it. That was another reason
- 1:22:03why whenever we went over that I went over the apartment with Debbie. She
- 1:22:09said, well, you know he owes me X number of dollars and I
- 1:22:12said, he didn't known me anything. So whatever you can get out of
- 1:22:16all this stuff in his apartment, it's yours. Take it, do whatever
- 1:22:24you can with it. When you've just said you took collateral, because I
- 1:22:28knew you had done all the agreement. I know about the collateral. Sitting
- 1:22:30here thinking god, HH is watching this and moderating and he's going, damn,
- 1:22:38why won't my wife do that? Because Debbie, I don't know about
- 1:22:41you, but my mama's boy, I mean, I'm a little softy,
- 1:22:45okay, and my youngest we'll just say he owes us a lot of money
- 1:22:53and never again we'll be loan him money. But I never thought about collateral
- 1:22:57Debbie, and I'm thinking you didn't either. I think it's just a mom's
- 1:23:00in us, right. Yeah, when he said he did something, and
- 1:23:03I would always sit there and help him out. And finally one day he
- 1:23:05was I was like, son, start saving money. He goes, well,
- 1:23:09won't you just let me learn on my own? And that's you know
- 1:23:12what, That's all you had to say. Now you're on your own.
- 1:23:15And that I got a little guilt on me because whenever he would usually be
- 1:23:17between jobs is when he would ask me for money. And so of course,
- 1:23:21hearing that he lost that job, of course, it makes me wonder
- 1:23:25had I not said that to him, would he have came to me and
- 1:23:28asked me for money and not done done this step? But I know it
- 1:23:33wasn't a decision I made. So it was a decision he made, and
- 1:23:39he as a mom, I mean, he made decisions because yes, he
- 1:23:43could have asked you for a short term thing. He was thinking long term
- 1:23:47and he was seeing the lifestyle that asked Hat was living, and ass Hat
- 1:23:54sold him a bill of goods. Let's just be honest. He did absolutely
- 1:23:58and so you could helped him out in a short term, so please do
- 1:24:02not feel bad because he still probably would have done it because of of that.
- 1:24:10Oh, thank you Stephanie. Oh, I was a good friend of
- 1:24:16his, and she's I'm a Facebook friend of hers now and uh so she's
- 1:24:21always sending me hearts and saying she's praying for us. Just a sweetheart.
- 1:24:29Yeah, JT. You want to ask the next questions before I get into
- 1:24:33ass hat and pos? Sure, m hmm. This is always. I
- 1:24:45say, this is always as if I've asked this before, but I really
- 1:24:48haven't, so forgiven me and maybe I will. We'll ask one at a
- 1:24:53time. Debbie, the this is harder than I thought it was. Sorry,
- 1:25:01Terry, just blurt out. I'm gonna blurt it out. Do you
- 1:25:12do you believe that Chase is alive? I do, I honestly do.
- 1:25:17I just think he's staying away for his own for his own safety maybe,
- 1:25:24And I just don't have that gut riching feeling because everybody, the investigator was
- 1:25:28the first thing they asked me is his mom? How do you feel in
- 1:25:30your gut? I said, y'all, I just I guess it's a lack
- 1:25:34of talking to him was the part that got me stirred up about everything,
- 1:25:38but I never had that gut wrenching feeling in my stomach and I still don't,
- 1:25:44but of course never Now that the stuff that came up with Matt's grandparents
- 1:25:48and all of that stuff, that's starting to worry me and scare me thinking
- 1:25:55that maybe something has happened. But until I have a body, I've just
- 1:26:00refused to believe it. I want to keep thinking positive until somebody can give
- 1:26:06me remains. This is just what I am about to live the rest of
- 1:26:12my life like this. This is what I'm going to do. Yeah,
- 1:26:17and obviously this is not you know, I don't really know, and this
- 1:26:20is not to pin both of you against each other, but I figured i'd
- 1:26:24ask one or the well. Well, she and I have had this conversation
- 1:26:30on more than one occasion, and she's like, how can you think like
- 1:26:33that? And my response to her is, how can you not? You
- 1:26:39know, you were pretty much in constant contact with him, I'll say,
- 1:26:43and you know, he'd come over periodically and visit to kids, and I
- 1:26:48go to his apartment periodically and you know, visit with him. But he
- 1:26:56always kept in touch with some member of the family. At some point in
- 1:27:00time and to go six and a half years, that's not him. Like
- 1:27:04I said, the person that he turned into is not the son that I
- 1:27:15know or the son that I raised. And like I said, I don't
- 1:27:18know that person. He's changed. He's got into this stuff. He knew
- 1:27:25how much I was against it, and in my in my gut. Yeah,
- 1:27:35like I said, I stand by the comment I made when I walked
- 1:27:38in that apartment. You know, I was never going to see him again.
- 1:27:45From the investigators that did talk to us and you know, told us
- 1:27:48two bits of information. It was a big time operation and he got in
- 1:27:55over his head and he was stepping on somebody's in another area or something,
- 1:28:02and somebody took him out. Now, and I know I've said this to
- 1:28:09you guys. One we've talked before. You said that Chase wasn't the same
- 1:28:16person. Everybody I have talked to Chase was They said he was still the
- 1:28:24same guy. He was just making some really bad decisions. And the people
- 1:28:30that I've talked to, you know, we've talked about the one way that
- 1:28:34he would make the active decision to go missing would be to protect you guys,
- 1:28:44and that would be a reason for him to do it because he loved
- 1:28:48you guys that much. So I think when we say he changed and he
- 1:28:53became somebody we didn't know everybody, you know, his friends that I've talked
- 1:28:58to, there like he was still the same guy. He was just making
- 1:29:01some really stupid decisions. And one person said to me last week, and
- 1:29:10he felt guilty for the stupid decisions he was making. And they do think
- 1:29:15it was bothering him and me maybe it's because I'm a softy mom that tells
- 1:29:25me he still had conscious about it, and he wasn't maybe happy with himself
- 1:29:30or some of those decisions he was making. And I think he was sold
- 1:29:33that it was going to be easier and safer than it was, and I
- 1:29:36think he found out by getting robbed and other things that it wasn't quite as
- 1:29:45glamorous and as easy as it looked. Right. And I do want to
- 1:29:54say, we're going to go ahead and talk about Matt, because I got
- 1:29:58no loyalty, mister Pos because that is your nickname, Matt Brewer, It's
- 1:30:02pos and Addison your ass hat. So it goes together. And like you
- 1:30:10said, the thing not saying they're involved, not saying they did anything.
- 1:30:15I think they know something. The thing that pisces me off about both of
- 1:30:20them is that they were good friends. And I've read those police reports and
- 1:30:27both of them little ms lied and said, oh, he wasn't that good
- 1:30:31of a friend to me. And I want to look at Asshat and say,
- 1:30:34well, then why in the hell was he in your wedding party,
- 1:30:36sir, if he wasn't that good of a friend. And Mattathew was exactly
- 1:30:45And I want to tell Matt same damn things, sir, you said and
- 1:30:48talk to him in days. Bullshit. You were with him the week and
- 1:30:51he went missing. Your phone proves it. So that's the problem I have
- 1:30:56with them. And the problem I have is they won't talk to us.
- 1:31:00And they say, oh, well we talk to the police. Yeah,
- 1:31:01and you lied to them. Read the reports you lied and they know you
- 1:31:05lied, guys, and it's in the reports. They know you lied.
- 1:31:10So throwing it out there, it might want to come clean. So I
- 1:31:15know JT's going to ask some more questions. But I just wanted to put
- 1:31:17that out there. We know they lied. They said they were friends,
- 1:31:21but then they which we all do. If you are getting cornered, are
- 1:31:27you're asked questions and you're guilty. What do you do. It's called the
- 1:31:30crawfish crawl. You start backing a way, Oh I didn't know him that
- 1:31:34well, no, not that, not that well. Well you can't do
- 1:31:39that and say you're this guy's best friend and then do nothing, because that's
- 1:31:44not a friend. And to me, it says they were never friends,
- 1:31:48you know, And my thing is is them saying that, and I know
- 1:31:53that they were best good friends of his. If you don't want to say
- 1:31:57anything, just call the tip line and tell us where his body is if
- 1:32:00he is gone. That's all I ask. That's all you gotta do.
- 1:32:03I said, exactly, all of this will. All we want is chase
- 1:32:08it one way or another, either live or bring us, bring him back
- 1:32:12to us. And they can, I mean, as y'all know, we've
- 1:32:16had people call the tip line anonymously and say, you know, stop looking,
- 1:32:21stop getting involved in this, and that number can't be tracked because they're
- 1:32:27burner phones. So we know these two people have boner burner phones. They
- 1:32:32admitted they had burner phones. So use one of them, make a call
- 1:32:41and then get rid of it, you know, go get a different phone,
- 1:32:45get a different phone. So JT, I'll stop interrupting and let you
- 1:32:49ask some more questions because I know we've been at this a while and we
- 1:32:53do want to start wrapping up here in a little bit, So JT,
- 1:32:58I will let you. Yeah. I mean I think, I think what
- 1:33:05and I think yeah. Whenever I see somebody ask this question of anyone,
- 1:33:11it seems to catch him a little off guard. I have a feeling that
- 1:33:13you all will have plenty to say in terms of this, but I mean,
- 1:33:16we want to make sure that we give you kind of the floor,
- 1:33:19you know, to tell Chase or anyone who knows anything whatever you wish to.
- 1:33:26So really kind of to start, what would you like to say to
- 1:33:31those that either caused Chase's disappearance or anyone who knows about it who's yet to
- 1:33:39come forward. Craig, you want to go first? You want me to?
- 1:33:46Debbie? Why don't we let you go first? I'm gonna say,
- 1:33:48Mom goes first, go ahead. I know he was making bad decisions.
- 1:33:56That nobody does it give you a right to take somebody's child. And I'm
- 1:34:00sure by now you've got a child, and I hope and pray that no
- 1:34:04what does this to your child? Because you get to live the pain that
- 1:34:10we're living, and we may live for the rest of our life. You
- 1:34:14can bring us closure. You truly could not believe in karma. I'm a
- 1:34:19firm believer of karma. And your day is coming. Your day is coming.
- 1:34:29Yeah, And they both have children. I think Debbie summed it up
- 1:34:36best. You know, I've said in numerous, numerous times, I wouldn't
- 1:34:42wish this nightmare on anybody, but the people that know what happened to him
- 1:34:48and it's not is not coming forward with any information and prolonging this agony for
- 1:34:57us. I'm not gonna be as forgiving as Chase's mother, but I don't
- 1:35:11wish this on you. But like she said, karma comes back, and
- 1:35:16I can't wait for that day. And you got to remember there's good karma
- 1:35:23and bad karma. And by stepping up and doing the right thing, just
- 1:35:27imagine what kind of role model you are for your child to say, you
- 1:35:32know what, I did some stupid stuff. I made some bad decisions,
- 1:35:36and I kept a lot of secrets, but you know what, I made
- 1:35:40the decision. I didn't want to be that person anymore. I wanted to
- 1:35:43do the right thing and tell and you know what. I know, we're
- 1:35:48not here to judge anybody, but all of them are gonna face their judgment
- 1:35:51day. They're gonna face it one day, yep. And their children,
- 1:36:00unfortunately, however this comes out or comes out in the wash, if their
- 1:36:06parents don't step up and do the right thing, and they do the hard
- 1:36:12way, it's going to be even worse for their kids, because their kids
- 1:36:15are going to have to live with it. I try to always put myself
- 1:36:17in the other person's shoes, and I think if my parent made a bad
- 1:36:20decision and new information and they were too scared to tell, and then it
- 1:36:27come out later that they hit it, that makes them obstructing justice, and
- 1:36:30that makes them an accomplice. You know, if they don't tell, I
- 1:36:35would much more respect my parent who stepped up and said, you know what,
- 1:36:41I need to be a better person, I need to do the right
- 1:36:43thing. I would still go visit my father in jail. I would still
- 1:36:46want our life. But if the cops have to come knock on your door
- 1:36:49and you didn't, I'm probably not going to come visit you. But I
- 1:36:55do have to say that I think the fact that you don't wish this to
- 1:37:00happen to them. You do want karma to happen. Says a lot about
- 1:37:04what kind of people you are, because a lot of other people would say
- 1:37:09an eye for an eye, And I do respect that you don't want anyone
- 1:37:15to feel the pain that you guys are living with every day, not at
- 1:37:18all. And that was that was a hard hitting question to kind of wrap
- 1:37:29it up. And because truly, you know, I don't want to speak
- 1:37:34for Terry, but I think I'm safe in speaking for Terry. We we
- 1:37:39we want answers and we want a conclusion to this, just you know,
- 1:37:43so what can what can everybody who's watching right now do to help? What?
- 1:37:51What? What can we do? What can we do for you to
- 1:37:54support you and to help in in in everything? Hit the share button on
- 1:38:01whatever post, video or whatever that they see about this case, Please hit
- 1:38:08the share button. I'd say the prayers, keep the prayers coming. I
- 1:38:15mean, you always got to keep that coming and just keep asking people.
- 1:38:19I mean, there's going to be people when you're talking about it, going
- 1:38:21to say hey, I heard about it, you know, when you're physically
- 1:38:27talking. Because some people aren't going to put things on Facebook or on anything.
- 1:38:31They're going to sit there and just ask ask people questions. Hey,
- 1:38:35you know I've heard about this. They're going go, hey, yeah,
- 1:38:38I heard somebody at this party talking about it, and hey, well who
- 1:38:42are they? I mean, maybe I can get with them. And it's
- 1:38:45just about asking, just asking, And like Craig has said, so many
- 1:38:48people want to sit there and think about not saying anything to us, and
- 1:38:53talking about it makes us feel like you're at least keeping for me that he
- 1:38:58still exists and he's still there and and you I mean, I can sit
- 1:39:02here and talk all day about stories about him, but if you want to
- 1:39:05start talking to me about his passing or you think he's dead, or I'll
- 1:39:12just close up because it's not what I want to believe. So that's just
- 1:39:15me. I got to have hope. I gotta have. The only way
- 1:39:17I'm existing is staying positive. I just have to till till somebody gives me
- 1:39:23something. Then I will properly grieve, which I get upset all the time,
- 1:39:27without a doubt. I get upset because I want to start thinking to
- 1:39:30the dark side and I'm just like, no, no, no, no,
- 1:39:33I'm not going there. And the other thing I want to say on
- 1:39:39that tip line. I told somebody this today on a Facebook post. I
- 1:39:43reached out to him because they said they had heard rumors. Haul us with
- 1:39:46the rumors. I get that they're rumors, but we are finding out there
- 1:39:53are some facts in some of these rumors. So and if you want to
- 1:39:58do it anonymous, you can tell and you can hide your number Star sixty
- 1:40:03seven if you don't want your number to come across. Tell us the rumors.
- 1:40:08You can email me Tarry at True Crime and Wine Time, or you
- 1:40:12can email JT at JT at True Crime and Wine Time. Tell us the
- 1:40:16rumors. Let our team go and do that research and prove that it's just
- 1:40:19a BS rumor, because you know what, guys, when there's smoke,
- 1:40:25sometimes there is fire. It's not a smoke machine. It's not a smoke
- 1:40:30machine. Don't think that you're gonna waste our time by going look at rumors,
- 1:40:35because you know what, what if it's not a rumor? What if
- 1:40:40that small eaty bitty chance it's factual or it leads to the next thing.
- 1:40:46So when I tell people nothing is too small, I seriously mean it.
- 1:40:53You're not gonna waste any of our time. I would rather spend our time
- 1:40:57researching rumors than sitting here beating our head against the wall trying to get the
- 1:41:01cops to do something. I mean, is there anything else you guys would
- 1:41:09like to say before we wrap up? Just we can't thank y'all enough for
- 1:41:14Like you said, y'all are a blessing. This has been a really emotional
- 1:41:19time last two to three months because of everything y'all are bringing out. But
- 1:41:24we know it needs to be brought I know it needs to be brought out.
- 1:41:27So I just cannot thank y'all enough. Cannot I'll be honest, and
- 1:41:34I probably I know I speak for J two too. We are just blessed
- 1:41:40that we're able to do this and that we're having success because we really didn't
- 1:41:45think we would get things moving this fast. We really didn't, And it's
- 1:41:51because of all of the people on the pages sharing it. It's truly not
- 1:41:57us. It's everybody that is hitting that share, budding, commenting, sending
- 1:42:00us messages. Hey, I don't know, Chase, but I heard this
- 1:42:05that that's why we're having so much happen so fast is because people are doing
- 1:42:12that. I wish we could take all the credit, but we can.
- 1:42:14It's because people are saying. You know, I'm gonna go ahead and tell
- 1:42:17this, Well, y'all gave a shit enough to take on this case.
- 1:42:25And like I said, it's I've been just amazed at like I said,
- 1:42:35all the comments and all the prayers, all the likes, all the loves,
- 1:42:40all the shares, the caring. Like I said, we need closure,
- 1:42:49playing simple, good, bad, whatever the situation is, we just
- 1:42:55need closure. And I said, I think that's what people need to know.
- 1:43:02Y'all just want answers, Right, you want to know where he is.
- 1:43:05You can worry about the other stuff later, right. You just want
- 1:43:09to not go to bed every night not knowing. Right, Yep, that's
- 1:43:15true, so true. Like I've made several posts, somebody somewhere knows something
- 1:43:27and we just need to find that person that it's tired of the guilt,
- 1:43:35tired of the lying, the secret they're hiding. And like I said the
- 1:43:43other day on a post, you know, it's like a cancer that's just
- 1:43:45eating at you constantly. You know, come clean with the truth. Let
- 1:43:51us know what happened to him, where it happened. Possibly search the area
- 1:43:56and find some remains so that we can putting to rest. And you know,
- 1:44:05Once you get that off your conscience, food's gonna taste better, your
- 1:44:12sleep's gonna be more RESTful, your tea's gonna be sweeter, and it's all
- 1:44:16possible. Just let us know what happened to our son where he's at,
- 1:44:21so that you know we can have closure and peace, and in turn you
- 1:44:26can have peace, and we'll need to have the remains tested. We'll make
- 1:44:30sure and confirm it is him. Oh. Absolutely, don't hope somebody can
- 1:44:34just throw us a bag of bones and because we will get them tested.
- 1:44:40Absolutely. I can't think of overall a better way to end all of this
- 1:44:48with with with that, and so what I want to do is, you
- 1:44:54know, to kind of close out. I want to to Terry, if
- 1:44:57you're okay with it, just toss in that video you that was put together,
- 1:45:00that we put together and then hop right on into the outro and then
- 1:45:05call it a night. What do you think sounds great? Do you have
- 1:45:10that video? Because I don't have access I do, it's right here,
- 1:45:13I can hit it. I I truly and everybody I feel comfortable in speaking
- 1:45:26for every single person who's tuned in. Thank you so much for joining us
- 1:45:30tonight. I hope that this brings more, as as as Craig and and
- 1:45:35Debbie have said, share this because the more you should you have no idea,
- 1:45:40the the the the tree of how far this can go. If if
- 1:45:45just ten people share, that's an exponential amount of attention. So use social
- 1:45:53media for good. We've seen the bad. Use it for good and and
- 1:45:58share this and everything joined the group online and share that as well. There's
- 1:46:04a lot to be done. I'm gonna leave the number up on the screen
- 1:46:08as we play those two videos and we'll call it, uh well, call
- 1:46:12it a night for tonight. However, the investigation continues on. So you're
- 1:46:19saying this is an ongoing investigation. Is that what I'm hearing? Terry still
- 1:46:25got a lot of people to piss off, Terry answers. That's the difference.
- 1:46:30Terry still got a lot of people she needs to piss off. So
- 1:46:35there's one thing that anybody can I got a big mouth and I know how
- 1:46:43to use it, whether you like it or not. And I think everybody
- 1:46:47needs to realize that telling me to stop ain't gonna do anything but make me
- 1:46:53do it harder, and not getting answers is just going to make me try
- 1:46:58that much harder. It may make us another six years, but I can
- 1:47:01tell you, unless I drop dead tomorrow, I'm not going anywhere. But
- 1:47:05I am comfortable knowing the True Crime and One Time team and everybody watching this
- 1:47:11and who sees this, somebody is gonna keep it going because if not,
- 1:47:16I will come back and haunt them. And you don't want me coming in
- 1:47:19your bedroom at not haunting you just gonna leave it there, hit the videos.
- 1:47:27So okay, all right, Well, thanks everybody for joining us tonight.
- 1:47:39Thank you both for joining us tonight and Harry. Yeah, of course,
- 1:47:46as I like to say, and especially it means more tonight than ever,
- 1:47:53stay safe, watch out for crime, and I'm gonna say I'm gonna
- 1:47:57add watch out for people that you think are your friends. Make sure they're
- 1:48:00all your friends. And definitely enjoy your wine time because after tonight we all
- 1:48:06deserve a couple of classes. And don't forget to take care of yourself.
- 1:48:13Yes, please take care of yourself, your friends, your family, don't
- 1:48:16forget to smile and dog on it. Shine on you crazy diamonds. We
- 1:48:21will see you next time, and thank you for watching this upcoming video and
- 1:48:26the closing see you do a
