- 0:00Mom, welcome back to Mommy Wood, the podcast where we dive into
- 0:06the wild, beautiful and sometimes completely crazy world
- 0:11of being both a mom and a performer.
- 0:14I am your host Emily, and if you've ever found yourself
- 0:17running on coffee, passion and the sheer willpower of a sleep
- 0:22deprived parent then you are in the right.
- 0:25Place on this episode of Mommy Wood, I have the pleasure of
- 0:28talking with the incredible Caitlyn Becker, who you probably
- 0:32know as Mika from the Blippy World.
- 0:36Caitlyn's story is such a ride. This episode is so fun.
- 0:40It was so great talking to her. We talk about how she started
- 0:44out in musical theater in New York and somehow found herself
- 0:47in children's programming and then ended up in a part as a
- 0:52part of this huge franchise that now parents and kids know
- 0:57everywhere. And we talk about her getting
- 0:59recognized and how she handles herself on social media and how
- 1:06it's like to be an actress and a real person but known by kids.
- 1:13And also the misinformation about the success and the
- 1:19business side of that whole world for her.
- 1:25In this episode we we talk about how everything from how how that
- 1:29all started to also what it's been like stepping away from
- 1:32Mika to focus on herself, her son Everett who's now 8 to
- 1:39taking new steps in her career and seeing what's coming next.
- 1:43She was so honest about Co parenting with her partner,
- 1:47traveling so much for work, Also the financial side of being a
- 1:53single mom and the pressure to stay on when people recognize
- 2:00her from their favorite kids show.
- 2:03This episode is real, it's funny and it's such a great reminder
- 2:09that even when when it looks like someone has it all figured
- 2:14out, they're probably just doing their best just like the rest of
- 2:17us. I loved talking with Caitlin.
- 2:20She is such a breath of fresh air.
- 2:23She's so honest. She's so lovely and fun and it
- 2:29was just an honor to get to talk to her and I know you're going
- 2:34to enjoy it. This episode of Mommy would with
- 2:37Caitlin Becker. Hello.
- 2:40Hello. Hi, can you hear me OK?
- 2:46Yeah, I can hear you. Great.
- 2:48Wait, are you wearing a? Are you wearing your own merch?
- 2:51You got merch? Sit up.
- 2:53Let's see it. That's so cute.
- 3:00Thanks, I'm the only one who wears it, but it's.
- 3:05I love it. No, that's so cute.
- 3:08Thank you. I have to reupdate my because I
- 3:11just do it like through Etsy. Yeah that's not true.
- 3:15My sister bought one too. My last sister with the support.
- 3:20There we go. Oh my gosh, I'm so excited to
- 3:24chat with you. Thanks for.
- 3:27Having me and nice to meet you. You too.
- 3:29I'm I'm getting so much cool mom cred right now.
- 3:37Although my daughter, she left for school and she's like, wait,
- 3:41what you're talking to? I mean, she's only three, but
- 3:44she's like, wait, what? Where are you going?
- 3:47How are you talking to Mika? And I was like, girl, I'll tell
- 3:51you about it later. I'll have to make her a video.
- 3:54Oh my God, that she would be so excited.
- 3:57Yeah, well, I'm already recording, but we'll edit stuff.
- 4:02But yeah, it's super obviously very casual conversation.
- 4:07But if there's anything you want, you don't want to answer,
- 4:11I'm not going to probably ask anything inappropriate.
- 4:17But if I do, you can feel free to say Emily past feeding the
- 4:265th. Or if you do, and then you're
- 4:29like, actually, I shouldn't have said that, then we'll make,
- 4:35we'll make my producer edited out.
- 4:39Perfect. Easy peasy.
- 4:42Well, Caitlin, thank you so much for being a part of Mommy would
- 4:46of. Course.
- 4:49OK. So you're originally from
- 4:51Kentucky and now you're in New York, correct?
- 4:54So let's just go all the way back And what brought you from
- 4:59Well, I know you did musical theater, so I'm assuming just
- 5:02brought you to New York, but how long have you been in New York?
- 5:0618 years. Wow, yeah, I bet it doesn't feel
- 5:10like that long. It Yeah.
- 5:13It doesn't but. It doesn't.
- 5:15It's weird because it just feels like I've lived many lives.
- 5:20I mean, I was 23 I think when I moved here, but mentally like
- 5:2616, you know, like I was. So I just feel like I grew up
- 5:31here. I found myself here.
- 5:33So sometimes I'm like, Oh yeah, I've lived there for like 30
- 5:35years. Yeah.
- 5:36And then other times I'm like, wait, how come I've been here 18
- 5:40years? You know, time is just weird
- 5:42that. Way it is weird, especially once
- 5:44you have a kid and it's like, wait, wait, was that before they
- 5:48were born? Wait, it couldn't have been that
- 5:50long ago. Like all of those things and you
- 5:53have one son. Yeah, he's about to turn 8.
- 5:57So everything is either before Everett or after Everett or like
- 6:00before COVID or after COVID. Yeah, yeah.
- 6:04Right, 08. Is that a fun age?
- 6:08How is that? I love it.
- 6:11There is a little bit of like because like the baby is leaving
- 6:19and this like weird almost preteen bro.
- 6:25Dude. Shows up like there's still a
- 6:28little baby in there, but I am like mourning the loss of 6 and
- 6:33under Everett because yeah, it's just like it's for me.
- 6:37It felt like an overnight change where he woke up and he was like
- 6:41stretched out being and he was just talking, you know,
- 6:48differently. Like it's, I can't imagine
- 6:51puberty. Like I think that's going to be
- 6:54really difficult because I already can't do like the tiny
- 6:57changes. So I'm like, Oh my God, are you
- 6:59still in there? But it's awesome because he's
- 7:04like my little dude, we can have great conversations and we make
- 7:08each other laugh. And so like, that's really fun.
- 7:11Yeah. Yeah.
- 7:13Yeah, that is weird, watching them grow up because then, yeah,
- 7:16because sometimes it's like you don't really notice.
- 7:19Then all of a sudden it's like, wait, what are you saying?
- 7:22How are you a full person now? And I the our phones are
- 7:28constantly reminding us what they used to look like.
- 7:31Oh. Yeah, with our like last year at
- 7:34this time. Yes, and it it's like a hate
- 7:37love because I like that we have thousands of pictures of our kid
- 7:42and a little device. It just always be like look,
- 7:44look, look, but sometimes I hate it because I think it makes it
- 7:48worse with the the changes because our parents weren't
- 7:52like, oh, let's just look at them from a year ago, two years
- 7:55ago. So I don't know, I'm like.
- 7:58Yeah, You had to wait for it to be in the photo album.
- 8:01I think of that sometimes where I like, you know, will record my
- 8:04daughter and she's like, let me see it.
- 8:06And I'm like, I can't imagine seeing myself in real time, like
- 8:10as a child, like seeing myself back in real time.
- 8:15Immediately. Yeah, because I'm like, I feel
- 8:17like I don't know how old I was when we first got like a
- 8:22camcorder, but like we weren't, my parents were using it like I
- 8:26wasn't using it. But yeah, it is bizarre.
- 8:30Time, yeah. So obviously you've played the
- 8:38beloved Mika. How did that come about?
- 8:42And how long ago is that? Cause for me, my daughter's only
- 8:46three. So I've only found you more
- 8:49recently, but I feel like it's been longer for you.
- 8:53I'm sure, yeah. It, I mean, that's the cool
- 8:56thing about YouTube and streaming services is that
- 9:00because I don't play the character anymore.
- 9:02But what made it feel better leaving is knowing the episodes
- 9:07are out there and there's going to be new fans every day who are
- 9:11discovering it for the first time because it just will live
- 9:14on, you know, hopefully forever. But I my journey with Mika began
- 9:21in 2020. So during like lockdown.
- 9:26Oh, so it wasn't that long ago. What?
- 9:28Yeah, I mean. Another weird thing about time,
- 9:31because I feel like that was 10 years ago that we were all like,
- 9:34stuck in our homes. But yeah, it was five years ago,
- 9:39but it feels like so long ago. But yeah, it started with a Zoom
- 9:47meeting like this. So just introducing myself to
- 9:51the Moonbug team, and I had no idea who Blippi was.
- 9:54Everett I had not seen anything on YouTube, I don't think at
- 9:58that point. But I did not know the character
- 10:00at all, Like and I don't think they believed me because they
- 10:04were like, OK, we can't say the name, but it's a guy on YouTube.
- 10:08Suspenders, glasses. We can't say anymore.
- 10:11We can't say any more. And I was like.
- 10:13We're like I. Don't know who that is.
- 10:15And they're like, she's good. I was like, I really don't know.
- 10:21But I had done Sunnyside Up, which was a live morning show
- 10:25for preschoolers without my work on it, and it was on NBC.
- 10:31And so I hadn't met a lot of people like in the biz, in kids
- 10:36media. And so it was just one of those
- 10:39like, hey, we're looking for someone to play both these best
- 10:41friends. And my name was recommended a
- 10:43few times from some friends. And so that's how the meeting
- 10:47happened. And it was, it's not like your
- 10:50typical audition get the job story because they were just
- 10:53like, yeah, do you want to do this?
- 10:55And I'm like, do what? Like I was so confused, like,
- 10:58make YouTube videos, like what? And they flew me out and I did
- 11:05some tests. Where was it that they flew?
- 11:08You LA And I remember asking like, is it safe to get on an
- 11:13airplane right now? Like I have not left my home.
- 11:18So I was on an airplane with like 4 people mathed up and just
- 11:23like, I don't know if we're is this OK that we're doing this?
- 11:26That's yeah. So then, well then obviously if
- 11:30it was only five years ago, you already had your son, So what
- 11:34what to do with him? Where was.
- 11:38What do we do with the kid? So at the time, yeah, so my ex
- 11:43and I are separated. That's why I said X and we are
- 11:47we're Co parenting. And at the time we were still
- 11:50together. And even if we were Co
- 11:52parenting, it's nice to have another parent to be like, do
- 11:55you mind? So he he stayed back with Kelly.
- 12:00And then when they first flew me out, it was not for YouTube.
- 12:04It was not to join the franchise.
- 12:06It was you are going to play this character Mika on Blippy's
- 12:09Treehouse with OG Blippy. And again, I'm like Blippy
- 12:13Schlippy, like I'm still learning what this world is, but
- 12:17OK. Yeah.
- 12:18So I went in thinking it was like a three month gig.
- 12:21And then after Treehouse they were like join the franchise,
- 12:24sign this contract. And I was like, oh, Dang, I
- 12:27guess guess we're in it. We're doing, we're doing the
- 12:31thing. But yeah, I left New York for
- 12:35three months and was on the West Coast.
- 12:37Yeah. So, so then how did you?
- 12:42So then it was obviously longer than three months.
- 12:46So then when you, well, I guess you were kind of filming.
- 12:48I was going back and forth. Yeah, we filmed.
- 12:51Videos. You're like, in all sorts of
- 12:53places, yeah. It was a lot of traveling.
- 12:58It was probably like 2 weeks out of the month.
- 13:01Every month I was travelling to random places, a lot of LA,
- 13:05which was awesome because I have a lot of friends there.
- 13:08So yeah. It's always fun as someone in LA
- 13:11to be like, oh I know that place.
- 13:14Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I bet.
- 13:16I love that so. So that is a lot of Co parenting
- 13:22dealing with scheduling. Oh my God, yeah, and a lot of
- 13:28the requests for last minute too.
- 13:29So it would be like, oh shit, next Thursday I'm flying to
- 13:33Seattle, I guess. And luckily I keep looking at my
- 13:36window. But when I look out my window
- 13:38referencing like the neighbors, because we have such a great
- 13:43community here, like thank God, where I can just text like the
- 13:49neighbor group. Can someone help pick up
- 13:51Everett, you know, or whatever. And it's, it's been such a
- 13:55blessing because it's very rare that there's any panic around
- 14:00childcare. Like there's always someone
- 14:01who's like, I got it. And we all have kids that are
- 14:04around the same age and they're all besties.
- 14:06So it's just, I don't want to jinx it.
- 14:10I'm like, please, we have to say community, please.
- 14:13Yeah. So is your ex then still does he
- 14:19or does he? Yeah, sorry.
- 14:20I was like, did they? That's.
- 14:21OK, that's OK. Does she live in the nearby you
- 14:28guys still? A street over.
- 14:30Wow, that's. So nice.
- 14:32Yeah. Yeah.
- 14:33So we're kind of spoiled because little things like for getting a
- 14:38piece of a uniform or something, it's like, oh, let's just like
- 14:43scurry over and get it from the other home, yeah.
- 14:46That's so much nicer. Yeah.
- 14:49Yeah. I don't know how people do.
- 14:51It a lot easier. I don't either, yeah.
- 14:55So then you were working on that The Kids Show on NBC beforehand.
- 15:00What did you like work with kids or like obviously you did
- 15:08musical theater, but like, did you?
- 15:12Like how did it musicals too? Yeah.
- 15:14How do you think so? Because now you're kind of, and
- 15:18I know you've you're no longer Mika, but you've had a lot of
- 15:23kids stuff going on. So how did and so have I?
- 15:27So I know, but like, how did you get into kids stuff?
- 15:33Or was it like the audition for that show?
- 15:38Yes, that, but also so the audition for Sunnyside up the
- 15:44breakdown was a breakdown I've never seen before like like
- 15:49this, because you know how usually it's like strong movers,
- 15:52singer, comedic, whatever. It was like experience working
- 15:58with children and then it would say like, you know, example
- 16:02preschool daycare, like early childhood development, and this
- 16:05is for like an acting audition. It was this is.
- 16:10Almost like an. Acting experience, college
- 16:13degree. So, I mean, there were so many
- 16:15things and but every single one, I was like, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- 16:19yeah. Because before I moved to New
- 16:21York, I worked at the Goddard School for five years.
- 16:25Yeah. Like as a preschool teacher, I
- 16:27babysat my my whole life. I did theater for kids a lot in
- 16:34Kentucky and Cincinnati area. And then when I moved to New
- 16:37York, the first show that I booked was for kids.
- 16:41And I remember being irritated because the show times were
- 16:44like, 10 AM and 12:00 because they were for little kids.
- 16:49And I was like, a young 23, like, partying in New York.
- 16:53Like, I took it up early for my show.
- 16:56Who does that? But I loved it.
- 17:00And I remember thinking, like, this is not hard and not in,
- 17:05like, any cocky kind of way, but like, I kind of didn't like it
- 17:08because it felt easy because I couldn't understand, like, oh,
- 17:11because you're good at this. Like this feels good.
- 17:15You're not like breaking your back trying to, you know,
- 17:18convince the kids or I don't know.
- 17:20I was just like, but it's easy. Like I want the biggest
- 17:23challenge of life. I'm an actor.
- 17:27So I kind of kept like pushing it away like enough with the
- 17:29theater for kids. And then I got tired of musical
- 17:33theater and I was like, let me just put it on the back burner.
- 17:35I need like a break from theater and I'm going to focus on like
- 17:39TV, film. So I started taking some classes
- 17:42and doing little like college independent films and things and
- 17:47just trying it out and I was like, oh, I like, I like being
- 17:51on camera. At that time is when I saw the
- 17:54Sunnyside Up audition and my nephew was a huge fan of
- 17:58Sunnyside Up. So I knew the show really well.
- 18:01Like I was like, I know what this is and holy crap, these
- 18:04requirements are crazy. So I was like, I'll just try and
- 18:07I send in a self tape and then like the rest is history.
- 18:12Yeah. So then, so how did you decide
- 18:17then to leave Mika behind? Just leave, yeah?
- 18:24We need 3 hours, but it was like it.
- 18:29I will say this, it was a it was very, very hard.
- 18:34It was very bittersweet because I put everything into that
- 18:38character. That character is very much me.
- 18:43It's like, like I said before, knowing that the episodes are
- 18:49out in the world and they're going to keep like that made me
- 18:51feel better. And social media like still
- 18:55being able to connect with parents and I do cameos like for
- 18:59kids. So I'm like there is a way that
- 19:00I can still feel connected to the character without being tied
- 19:04to the job. So like that was the
- 19:06conversation I was having with myself.
- 19:07Like it's fine, it's fine, but I really like there's so much
- 19:12going on or there was much going on with that job and within my
- 19:17personal life that I was like, I am going to have to make the
- 19:20very hard choice to walk away and like put myself 1st and, and
- 19:25just figure it out. I had no backup plan whatsoever.
- 19:30So many people make up reasons why, you know, they're like,
- 19:34well, she's a mom. I'm like, I've been a mom the
- 19:38whole time. I was like, yeah, I hate that.
- 19:41I hate. If anything that would be more
- 19:43of a reason 'cause I mean, I assume it was like a good like
- 19:49pretty steady paycheck like. That it was nice as an actor to
- 19:53have a consistent paycheck. It was not a great paycheck.
- 19:57It was that people would be surprised.
- 20:00Yeah, like, very surprised. But I did have like guilt
- 20:07leaving a consistent paycheck 'cause, you know, like.
- 20:10And that's a rare thing as an actor to know where your money's
- 20:13coming from. So.
- 20:16But, you know, at the end of the day, I was like, I need to do
- 20:18the hard thing and walk away. And it's been the hardest year
- 20:23of my life. But I don't have any regrets.
- 20:25Like, truly. Yeah.
- 20:27I'm so I'm so happy, like, where my life is going.
- 20:31And, you know, things should be popping up soon that I can share
- 20:35with the world. But yeah, it's it's hard to make
- 20:38those decisions. Yeah, it really is, especially
- 20:41as a parent. It doesn't just affect you.
- 20:44Like if it's if you're just you alone, you're like, well, I can
- 20:49do whatever I want. Like it doesn't affect it.
- 20:53Yeah, that's, that's tricky. I will say when you're saying
- 20:57that like Mika is like there's a lot of you and Mika.
- 21:02Yeah. See, that's one of my things
- 21:04that I was like, I can watch you.
- 21:09I OK. Not that I want to badmouth him.
- 21:13Who shall not be named. Yeah, Yeah, with the glasses.
- 21:18But I'm like, he like you seem like you're you like talking to
- 21:25kids as opposed to you pretending to be a kid.
- 21:29I understand. You know what I mean?
- 21:31So I'm like you like, so I'm always like, where are the.
- 21:34I need the solo episode. Yeah.
- 21:39And then it's. Weird.
- 21:40But then it's also strange with like somebody new coming in
- 21:45because obviously you the, there's a new Mika now.
- 21:49And I'm like, wait, what? It's all very confusing.
- 21:53Yeah, isn't. That weird for kids?
- 21:56No, apparently not, because I'm like that.
- 21:59I mean, I get I get a lot of messages about it every day,
- 22:04every day. And there's been a new Mika.
- 22:11She entered my second year like she she'd been here.
- 22:15But I think like the algorithms our start like it.
- 22:20It's so crazy because some people like you were saying
- 22:24you're like newer to make a blippy world.
- 22:26But some people will like, I'll get a message from someone
- 22:30that's like, we miss you so much.
- 22:32We wish you could come back. And then two minutes later get a
- 22:35message from someone that's like, Oh my God, we just found
- 22:38found your show. I just wanted you to know my kid
- 22:40loves you. And I'm like, yeah, the Internet
- 22:43is really interesting, but yeah, there's been two or two caches.
- 22:49Cache is the second Mika. There's been two Mika's for a
- 22:53few years now. But a lot of people are just
- 22:55realizing like, wait, who was this other one?
- 22:58And thinking like, I left and then I hired her.
- 23:01But like we were working at the same time on two different
- 23:04coasts for a couple of years. That's.
- 23:07So strange So. Weird.
- 23:11I know, but how do you? Sorry, there's a piece.
- 23:16I don't know if you can hear that.
- 23:19It's very magical to me. OK.
- 23:22I how do you cuz like it's such a kid thing, but you're you on
- 23:34your online presence. So do you ever feel like as like
- 23:41Caitlin, you have to. I mean, I know now again, you're
- 23:46still getting messages from like Mika's always there.
- 23:49But like, do you feel any sort of pressure to like not share
- 23:56certain things? I mean, I love that you're just
- 23:59you as Caitlin on your Instagram.
- 24:02But like, do you ever feel like, oh, I can't share that because
- 24:06of Mika or I can't talk like this or or are you like, no
- 24:12people can deal with that? I'm a human.
- 24:14I definitely censor myself knowing that people, there's a
- 24:22lot of people that follow me because of Mika and I found out
- 24:28a lot of people are scrolling their Tik Toks with their Mika
- 24:31fans right next to them. And sometimes they'll comment
- 24:35something and you know, I, that's like, not my problem.
- 24:38You know, I, because I'm like, this is my personal page.
- 24:41I can do what I want. And I'm still very much in the
- 24:45kid media scene. So knowing that there are like,
- 24:51because I don't plan any of my reels or tik toks.
- 24:55And sometimes I'm just like talking about something or
- 24:57telling a story and I will like clock myself or when I'm
- 25:02editing, I'm like, Oh my God, looks like someone's going to
- 25:05because I have the fear of, because people will call me Mika
- 25:10instead of Caitlin. So even though I'll post a video
- 25:13that's very, like you said, I'm myself, I'm Caitlin and I'm
- 25:16talking about whatever. Yeah.
- 25:18And someone will be like, no, I don't want Mika to curse.
- 25:22And I'm like, Mika doesn't curse.
- 25:25She doesn't. Hi, I'm Caitlin.
- 25:27I'm 41. Sometimes I'm going to say some
- 25:30shit. Sorry, but I don't want anyone
- 25:34to be to, to like I don't want Mika to have a bad reputation
- 25:41because of like one thing that I said on a TikTok that someone
- 25:44twisted around and then was like Mika said.
- 25:47So I maybe I should care less, but I do have that in the back
- 25:51of my head at all. Oh my God, let me tell you an
- 25:54adult story that's not that adult.
- 25:56I don't know why I set it up like that.
- 25:58Yes, tell me how the pornographic story.
- 26:02Settling kids, turn off this podcast.
- 26:06So I went to a beach in Europe. This is not scandalous to a
- 26:12beach in Europe with my two friends.
- 26:15And it wasn't a nude beach, but it was like, there are no rules.
- 26:18So a lot of the women have their tops off.
- 26:21And my two friends were like, oh, yes, freedom, You know,
- 26:24like, let's get rid of those tan lines.
- 26:26And I was like, yeah, wait, but what if someone is like, that's
- 26:31Mika? Because I get recognized all the
- 26:33time. What if someone's like, that's
- 26:35Mika and those are her boobs? And then they take a picture and
- 26:40they put on the computer. Like that's how my brain works.
- 26:42So I mean, not saying I'm paranoid, but I'm like, that's a
- 26:45real thing that could happen. And I that would destroy me.
- 26:50Like, I would hate that. So I was like, I'm going to keep
- 26:53my top on guys. I'm scared.
- 26:55Well, right. Be like topless Mika.
- 26:58Oh. My God, Can you imagine?
- 27:01And then I was like, then I get mad because I'm like, is this
- 27:03going to be my entire life? And again, I could just not
- 27:07care. But I I do care, yeah.
- 27:11It seems like you have a healthy amount of care.
- 27:14I think so because it's fair, because it is fair.
- 27:17Like you said, it's still, it is fairly new.
- 27:21It's still in the scheme of things and like, like you said
- 27:25that it's always there and it might not always be like as big
- 27:31of a thing in your life to have to think of because obviously
- 27:35time will continue to go on, but like, but I feel like that's a
- 27:41healthy amount of caring. Yeah, but that's.
- 27:46Busy because you're like, well I want to get rid of my tan line
- 27:50or whatever. Yeah, I mean, I've had many an
- 27:54interaction at a bar with a parent that's like, are you
- 27:59Mika? And like, I'm a few drinks in
- 28:01and I'm like, for me to make a video for your kid and I think
- 28:05it's fine. But I.
- 28:07Do the next day be like. I hope that video is OK.
- 28:11No what? Did I say yeah in the video?
- 28:18Also, like, I'm an adult, you know?
- 28:20Yeah, I'm like living my life if people see me out in the wild
- 28:24doing my thing. Like it is what it is.
- 28:27Yeah, yeah, you're not wearing your your purple and yellow and
- 28:31all. That yeah, yeah.
- 28:34Does your son care at all? No, no, he.
- 28:42He never really has he. I've gone to his school twice
- 28:48now on career day. And I was surprised that he like
- 28:54let me go because I asked him, I'm like, do you want me to sign
- 28:57up for this? Because I don't care either way.
- 28:59Like, do you want me to sign up? And both times he said yes.
- 29:03And the first time I wore a hat, my hat that says Mika on it.
- 29:08And I brought like there's like 3 Mika toys at that.
- 29:15There's like hardly any Mika bridge.
- 29:16But I like brought what I had and he didn't like the props and
- 29:20they I passed the doll. I mean the doll is cool.
- 29:23I mean RIP to the dog is not available, but I like passed it
- 29:28around. And the kids, a lot of his
- 29:30classmates didn't realize I was Mika.
- 29:32So the first year half of the class was like what?
- 29:38And I'm like, it's me because they're just like Everett's mom,
- 29:40you know, which I love. But they were like, what?
- 29:43Wait, what? And so they're passing the doll
- 29:45around. And then Everett was like very
- 29:48quiet. And last year I showed up your
- 29:52day or the night before, he was like, don't bring stuff.
- 29:57Don't bring the doll. And I was like, why?
- 29:59That's cool. I was like, let me bring one
- 30:01thing. Because they have, like, nurses
- 30:04coming with their tools and they do like, fake exams and like,
- 30:08everyone has little props. And I was like, I want a prop.
- 30:11And I got a cool one man who was coming in with toys.
- 30:15He was like fine, fine. Oh my God, that must be Yeah.
- 30:20That must be strange for kids too that already know you as his
- 30:27mom to be like, yeah. I know watch him figure it out
- 30:32like it is. Her, which is like interesting
- 30:35because it's not like you're you're not wearing like a whole
- 30:40costume thing. Yeah.
- 30:42It's like it looks like you, but I think just the like TV versus
- 30:48yeah. Yeah, out of context for sure.
- 30:51But he he, he was along for the ride at the end of my time as
- 30:58Mika and I was really, really stressed out.
- 31:02And I didn't like that version of me.
- 31:05Like, we're human, we're going to get stressed out.
- 31:08But I just noticed it was like affecting my life in many ways.
- 31:12But I was really honest with him, like last year especially.
- 31:18So last year, career day, someone was like, when you do
- 31:22Mika like some question and Everett like cut them off.
- 31:25And he's like, she doesn't play her anymore.
- 31:27She's retired. And I was like, I'm not retired,
- 31:33but he was just like, enough guys.
- 31:36Yeah, he's like trying to protect you.
- 31:39Yeah, he's just like, guys, please, we're moving on.
- 31:43Next question Yeah, that's funny.
- 31:49OK, well, so obvious. So being done with me got how is
- 31:54it like? Because we always, you know, as
- 31:59actors, as moms even, it's very like, pick your lane and stay
- 32:04there. But obviously we want to grow
- 32:06and do different things as actors.
- 32:08So have you found it hard? Obviously you said it's the
- 32:14hardest year of your life. That was a dumb way for me.
- 32:17To no dumb things here, Nothing's down.
- 32:19But how? But yeah, can you just like
- 32:24elaborate, elaborate a little on how it's?
- 32:29Tell us how hard be specific. Well, first of all, the business
- 32:35is just terrible right now. You know, in, in TV filming all
- 32:39around, in all areas. It's terrible.
- 32:43So there's that. Living in a really expensive
- 32:48city, it's like I quit my Mika job and it's like my landlord
- 32:54what, like pranked me. That's what I felt like.
- 32:57He raised my rent so much. I was like, why now?
- 33:00Why now? Is this a joke?
- 33:03So just like financially very difficult and it's taking me
- 33:08back to the beginning like year one of New York of just like,
- 33:12OK, so this will pay for that. I can get a slice of pizza.
- 33:17But now I have a kid, so it feels very different.
- 33:21And he comes first. And so, yeah, it's hard.
- 33:27Also, Kelly and I have been separated for four years now,
- 33:32but it still feels very new and fresh.
- 33:35So still adjusting to like, double income versus single
- 33:39income. Like it's not all about money,
- 33:42but it affects everything, you know?
- 33:45So and I'm in the creator mode right now because, you know,
- 33:48it's like there's nothing going on, so might as well make my own
- 33:51stuff. Yeah, but I'm like so impatient.
- 33:55And, you know, like a show takes time.
- 33:57Like if you're going to develop your own show, it's not going to
- 34:00start. You don't have the idea.
- 34:01And then you film the next day. So I'm just very like, let's go,
- 34:05hurry up, hurry up, hurry up. So.
- 34:07So I'm inspiring that you're making your own stone.
- 34:12Well, I have. Yeah, I have some things up my
- 34:16sleeve and yeah, I'm really excited about it.
- 34:21And so that's been awesome and not hard.
- 34:23It's just been like really great and really fun.
- 34:27But it's a challenge for me to like, stay present and not try
- 34:32to rush through things because I'm, I'm so excited and I'm
- 34:35itching to like, get on camera again.
- 34:40So it's all going to be good. This is just like the year of
- 34:45waiting and hustling and it is what it is.
- 34:49Next year will be different, that's true.
- 34:55Yeah, yeah. It's just like breathing
- 34:58through, like the growing pains and stuff.
- 35:00And I feel like a lot of moms that I've talked to what it has
- 35:07become. And because actors in general do
- 35:11have to like, start creating their own stuff, which is like,
- 35:16I hate, I hate everyone's like, well, if you want to be an
- 35:25actor, you can't. You have to create your own
- 35:28stuff, which, yeah, I mean, you do.
- 35:31But like, and I keep saying that to myself and I'm like, but I
- 35:35don't want to. I'm like, I just, yeah, so hard
- 35:38when you're like, I just want to be an actor.
- 35:40Tell me what to say. Give me lines and I'll say it.
- 35:42I'm not a writer. I'm not a producer.
- 35:44I'm not this like that's so hard.
- 35:48So like has being a mom, like obviously there's that hustle
- 35:54regardless, Like you said you were doing the the hustle when
- 35:58you were 23 or whatever, just moving to New York.
- 36:01But like has becoming? Has being a mom made that hustle
- 36:11different? Or do you like?
- 36:15Yeah, it's interesting because you would think as I sit here
- 36:20and like complain about like financial stress that I would
- 36:24just say yes to anything because I need the money and I, but I am
- 36:30way pickier because I'm like very, very like mental health
- 36:37first, Everett first. So like the other day, my
- 36:45manager was asking if I wanted to do stand in work for a day on
- 36:51some show, which I is fine. Like, I used to do that all the
- 36:55time. And I haven't done that in
- 36:56years. And that, you know, it's like an
- 36:58easy paycheck. Yeah.
- 37:01And I went back and forth because I was like, I should say
- 37:04yes because I need money and it's easy.
- 37:07Like I'm literally standing in. But.
- 37:12Then like looking at the schedule and Everett schedule
- 37:14and I'm doing the math like, well, I'm going to get home at
- 37:17this time the night before the shoot.
- 37:19And then that means I would miss Everett's whatever.
- 37:21And I'm like, you know how you do all the calculations in your
- 37:24mom brain? And then I'm like, not worth it.
- 37:28I'm going to feel insane just because of that one day is like
- 37:32screwing everything up. And so I said no thank you.
- 37:36And then then I did have a moment of like, why did you say
- 37:39no to a paycheck? But then something else came
- 37:43through that was only taking like 2 hours of my time and it
- 37:46was from home, like a voice over thing.
- 37:47And I was like, see, it all worked out.
- 37:50But before ever I would have just said yes, yes, yes, yes,
- 37:54give me that paycheck. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 37:55And like, it's fun to be on set and like all the things.
- 37:58But now it's like I'm hustling, but I'm also being choosy about
- 38:03what I'm hustling towards. Yeah, isn't that hard because I
- 38:07feel like when you say that, you're going to have like a
- 38:12little bit of like kind of guilt.
- 38:16I hate using the word guilt, but I'm using.
- 38:18It but like you're going to have the.
- 38:20Guilt either way where you're like, oh, if I like I should
- 38:24have said yes because it's a paycheck.
- 38:26But then if you would have missed something for your son,
- 38:28you're like, oh, I would I, I feel bad that I missed this.
- 38:32So it's like you're kind of fucked either way.
- 38:35Exactly. Yeah, so.
- 38:38Choose what we want to do is. Yeah, yeah.
- 38:41And essentially like when you choose yourself and you put
- 38:45yourself first, not like, like then you are better for the
- 38:51parent, you know, like it, it's like a domino effect.
- 38:55But I would say yes to something that I was like 50% wanting to
- 38:59do. Yeah, it affects me, you know,
- 39:02like mentally I'm like annoyed or irritated and that trickles
- 39:05down like to my kid and I want him to see all parts of me.
- 39:09But I don't want to Yeah, you know, if I if I can, if I can
- 39:14control a little bit of it and pick and choose, then I'm going
- 39:17to. And I think it's all yeah, I'm
- 39:20just like, it'll work out. It'll work out.
- 39:22And he? Will somehow, but that's why I
- 39:25started mommy one because everyone's like you'll figure it
- 39:28out and I'm like, but specifically how?
- 39:31Can you give me a step by step? Because it is a very much like,
- 39:37OK, it'll all work out, but I gotta buy that piece of pizza.
- 39:42I gotta eat. I gotta.
- 39:44Gotta feed your kid. How to be my kid I have to pay
- 39:47for the roof over my head and again like LA similar like rent
- 39:51just keeps going. Expensive.
- 39:53It's like, yeah, it'll work out. How are you paying your rent?
- 39:59Those like that's always the like, OK, are we?
- 40:04I want to feel less alone being like paycheck to paycheck
- 40:10because I feel weird as a mom where you feel like.
- 40:16When you're younger, looking at someone who's a parent, you're
- 40:18like, well, they know what they're doing.
- 40:20You're like. Of course they've got it
- 40:21together. They have a checkbook in their
- 40:24pocketbook. They're a grown up.
- 40:28Yeah. Turns out none of us are ever
- 40:31grown up, so which is nice and scary realizing, but it is
- 40:38surprising. Like I feel like that's so
- 40:42surprising that like, and it's similar like my sister was on
- 40:48Broadway and hearing like jobs like these are like you being
- 40:52Mika where it's like jobs like these where you think, oh,
- 40:55they've got to be made in the shade.
- 40:58I mean, it's like they're. Doing it, they are good.
- 41:01Yeah, but then you're like, oh, New York takes half of your
- 41:03paycheck, has to take whatever. And then you're like, oh, turns
- 41:10out I'm making $10.00. So cool.
- 41:13Yeah. But like that's what I feel like
- 41:16people need to like hear, especially as moms, as actor, as
- 41:23entertainment moms, where it's like you feel like everyone is.
- 41:27So I'll speak for myself. I feel like everyone else is so
- 41:32far ahead or but like then like we shouldn't compare ourselves.
- 41:40But no. And it, but it's really hard
- 41:43when you have it in your face all the time, like social media,
- 41:47because I can't help it. Like I, I can admit it.
- 41:50I do it. I look at other people who are
- 41:53around my age or moms and I'm like, you're doing that and it's
- 41:59annoying and I'm trying not to, but it's like it's hard not to.
- 42:03But I do like the reason I am really honest and vocal about
- 42:07the reality of everything is because I like the relate
- 42:13relatability on social media. And a lot of people assume that
- 42:19I'm. I mean, I don't know if you saw
- 42:22I posted like all what the Internet was saying about me and
- 42:26that I met my net worth is 125 million and that I have multiple
- 42:31homes and like all this bullshit.
- 42:34Yeah, but people believe that. And it's one of the most popular
- 42:38things. Like Caitlin Becker, it's like
- 42:40net worth, Caitlin Becker's salary.
- 42:42And it's all lies. And people are like, wow, feel
- 42:47from high school, like, Oh my God, you're so successful,
- 42:50you've made it. And I'm like, I'm just getting
- 42:53started. But you know, the Internet can't
- 42:55lie. What do you?
- 42:58Yeah. Or like people hitting me up for
- 43:01money, like for good causes. Not like, hey, can you pay my
- 43:04bills, but like, you know, for a charity year, like to help the
- 43:07kid or whatever. And I'm like, oh man, like I
- 43:11want to be able to be like, here's $100,000 and I keep
- 43:16staying like, and one day that will happen where I'll be like,
- 43:18oh, no problem here, take this. I'd love to help.
- 43:20But I do want especially other parents to know, even though
- 43:27you're like I see everyday on my TV and they like make up my
- 43:32life. I'm like, no, we're actually on
- 43:36a on the same page. And I'm also, well, I mean, I
- 43:40can't assume everyone's lives, but I'm like, I'm also a very
- 43:44hard working single mom working paycheck to paycheck, like
- 43:47literally paycheck to paycheck. And I think it's good for people
- 43:52to to know that and to know that like, just because you're on a
- 43:57successful YouTube show doesn't mean you're rolling in the
- 44:00Benjamins, man. Yeah.
- 44:02Do you feel like is there any bitterness there though?
- 44:05Because I sure, let me Google like, let me Google all
- 44:15definitely. Obviously those are false I'm
- 44:18sure, but like. Yeah, they're all wise, but
- 44:21like. You're like I'm people know me
- 44:27like know you and they I. Think that's Yeah, it's hard to
- 44:32not walk through the world with just like a chip on my shoulder.
- 44:36And I admit I did that for some time and now I'm just like, you
- 44:40know, like moving on. But.
- 44:43Yeah, because I guess that really only makes it shitty for
- 44:46you. Yeah, and like the I do get
- 44:49recognized regularly and not that that should like equal like
- 44:56fame and money and whatever, but it is it's just kind of odd.
- 45:00And I always say like, it's a mind fuck to go to the grocery
- 45:04store and have people like fangirl over me.
- 45:06And then I'm like literally doing math and my phone, like,
- 45:09can I buy this chicken? And it's just that it's, yeah,
- 45:14it's bizarre. It's really weird.
- 45:15And then people sending me pictures of Mika themed birthday
- 45:19parties and like all these cute pictures of.
- 45:22Kids, I saw your That was like the giant banner.
- 45:26Oh yeah, Oh my God, I was dying. Yeah, that woman was was.
- 45:30We messaged a couple times and she was like, laughing so hard.
- 45:33But yeah. But I'm like, Oh yeah, Mika's a
- 45:38popular character and and I get reminders.
- 45:42Because you do you not? Or do you get anything from like
- 45:47that type of stuff like the merge?
- 45:50No. Royalties, no residuals,
- 45:52nothing, nothing at all. So yeah, our people will be like
- 45:57Congrats, my kids potty training and we see that you they'll
- 46:01always say you you have Mika underwear and I'm like, I do
- 46:05there's Mika underwear where I don't know anything.
- 46:09It's, it's a very like everything's separate.
- 46:12Like I never knew about merchandise or, or when we were
- 46:17on different, I found out what streaming platform I was on
- 46:21because my friends would tell me they'd send me a picture like,
- 46:24Oh my God, you're on Hulu. I'm like, really?
- 46:27Oh my God. Well, you're fully on Netflix.
- 46:30It's on everything now. I knew about Netflix because
- 46:33they told me a few weeks before, like, hey, we're going to put
- 46:37your episodes on Netflix. Hey, I'm sorry you didn't get
- 46:39anything for getting onto Netflix.
- 46:42No, because the company owns the characters and so the network
- 46:48the the the the like Netflix. I mean, like, don't quote me on
- 46:53this, but I'm pretty sure Netflix is like, hey, we want to
- 46:58air your episodes. They're popular and then they
- 47:00like pay the company for the episodes.
- 47:04So it's just like that, you know, another outlet for people
- 47:06to view them. But it's like the actors are
- 47:10just like not part of that at all.
- 47:12And I think that's what the Internet gets from the net worth
- 47:15is they're like, because they'll say like she signed a Netflix
- 47:19deal for three-year and I'm like, no, I didn't.
- 47:22What are you talking about? Like maybe Moonbug signed a
- 47:25contract with Netflix, not Moi, but no, like like none of that.
- 47:31None of it. Well then would you?
- 47:35OK, well I don't want to ask going back questions.
- 47:39It's OK. So would you then tell your
- 47:44younger self when you first started to do anything
- 47:51differently or are you still like?
- 47:54I have thought about this a lot and I'm being careful on what I
- 48:00say. It would have, it would have
- 48:04been, I would not have had the job.
- 48:07That's it. There was no there.
- 48:10It was like, take it or leave it for, for those specific things
- 48:14like the merchandise and like, and yeah, so there, there was an
- 48:21attempt there, I will say that. But it was like, OK, well, we'll
- 48:25just like move on. Yeah, yeah.
- 48:28It happened with Sunnyside up too, where we would, they had a
- 48:31sprout pad like an iPad essentially with games and songs
- 48:36from the show. And they used our original songs
- 48:41and, and had our faces all over it.
- 48:44And I spent weeks, there was four of us, so we had no idea.
- 48:48And my fertility Dr. is the one who told me because her
- 48:55mother-in-law bought a sprout pad for her child.
- 48:59And so she's on a sprout pad with her kid.
- 49:02And she's like, that's my patient.
- 49:03Like she's like, oh, my God. And I was like, really?
- 49:08Yeah, yeah. Wow.
- 49:11Yeah, that's so bizarre. But yeah, like you said, it's
- 49:13kind of you if it's a take it or leave it, it's nice that you at
- 49:18least had that. But again, yeah, hard not to be
- 49:22bitter, I'm sure. But yeah, that probably plays a
- 49:24huge factor into what I think things are a certain way.
- 49:32Yeah. That's OK.
- 49:33So I'm going to do some lightning round.
- 49:36Oh. My God.
- 49:38OK, let's. Do this.
- 49:41They're they're just fun and silly.
- 49:44OK. Would you rather self tape or in
- 49:47person audition? Oh, in person.
- 49:51Yeah. What?
- 49:53Who would be your dream Co star? This is I'm sorry I'm not fast.
- 50:00No, neither am I. There's so many, Oh my God.
- 50:06Like I'm thinking of all funny ladies like Amy Poehler, Maya
- 50:10Rudolph. Yeah.
- 50:12Yeah. That'd be fun.
- 50:15Do you have any like pre audition rituals or anything?
- 50:23Or get you in the mood. I don't really.
- 50:27No, I don't really have. Not really.
- 50:30I think I used to when I was younger and I'm yeah, I don't
- 50:33put as much like that. And steak into it.
- 50:36That's fair. Stage, screen or kids show,
- 50:41which feels the most? The most me stage.
- 50:47Yeah, I love it. Musical theatre coming in.
- 50:51What is your most random like day job, acting gig?
- 50:56That or day job between acting gigs.
- 51:00I I sampled chocolate covered matzo in Jewish grocery stores
- 51:12and I am not Jewish. I'm a biracial girl from
- 51:15Kentucky. You grew up Baptist and I did it
- 51:19because it was easy cash, but like everyone hated it.
- 51:22Like they're like, why are you the sample girl?
- 51:25And I'm like you. Were giving out the samples.
- 51:27And like talking about them. And I'm like this matzo's.
- 51:30And I also helped package it in, like, a famous matzo factory
- 51:34downtown where, like, the rabbi would come in and, like, bless.
- 51:40And I would just be standing there, like, thank you.
- 51:43All right. It was just so random.
- 51:46It was like under the table cash.
- 51:49The things we do, it's so weird, yeah.
- 51:51I got a lot of them. Coffee or sleep?
- 51:58Sleep. What's your favorite snack that
- 52:02is actually for your kid? Your son.
- 52:07This isn't we eat all the same foods.
- 52:10Yeah, I was like, I guess he's older now.
- 52:12So sorry everyone Popsicle we're we're both chips.
- 52:16We're both salty like chips and popcorn.
- 52:19I probably said popcorn is like the go to snack.
- 52:23Gotcha Yum. What is your the most used
- 52:28phrase in your house right now? Everett, It's not a phrase, but.
- 52:37It's. Always that with A to at the
- 52:39end. And he now says he says I want
- 52:45to tell you something, but you're going to say everything.
- 52:50And I was like, it's OK, just say it.
- 52:52And it's like he'll be like booty butt and I'm like
- 52:55everything, yeah. That's hilarious when the names
- 53:00become like 3 syllables. Yeah, we got like.
- 53:05Dad or it's a lot of like, stop calling me bro.
- 53:12Oh yeah. Don't cry bro.
- 53:17Not your bro, not your bro. What something that your son
- 53:21says that cracks you up every time?
- 53:22Oh my. God, he does this is going to.
- 53:27Be really weird. He does.
- 53:31He plays like a lot of different characters and he but he does
- 53:35this, this is so weird. He he loves to make me
- 53:40uncomfortable, but he loves and I'm like, Oh my God, that's so
- 53:43weird. Like that's his goal, like to
- 53:45get me to be like ha. And so he will just drop into
- 53:49this weird thing where he'll be like SH baby girl and I'm like
- 53:53what? Don't Oh my God, don't talk to
- 53:55me like that. I'm your EW EW.
- 53:57And then he's just like. Call me bro and really don't
- 53:59call me baby and he'll go SH baby girl.
- 54:04Like I hate it, makes my skin crawl.
- 54:08Kids are so funny. Well, I was going to say New
- 54:12York or LA, but obviously. You know what?
- 54:15New York. But for a while I was very like
- 54:19LA all the way. I could have to move there.
- 54:22It's hard. I really like them both almost
- 54:26the same amount. What about you?
- 54:30Well, I lived in New York for a year and a half, but I was young
- 54:34and on my own and it was a lot. So I think now, I mean,
- 54:41definitely LA for now, just because I've never had a kid in
- 54:44New York and the things that parents have to do in New York
- 54:48with a child seems impossible to me.
- 54:53Where I'm like. You're going to stroll her down
- 54:55into the subway. That sounds.
- 54:57Or even it's like you're walking in the rain.
- 55:00That's yeah. Yeah, it is.
- 55:03It is crazy. Yeah, it.
- 55:06Yeah. Yeah, what's a song that
- 55:09instantly boosts your mood? Currently, yeah.
- 55:14Yeah, Cowboy Carter latest album.
- 55:18That's been my hype up song pretty much all year.
- 55:24What do you have any hidden talents that we don't I'm?
- 55:29Really too open on social media because now I do a lot of
- 55:32random. Do I have anything I hidden
- 55:36talents? Oh no.
- 55:40You're like, I'm an actor. That's my talent.
- 55:42Yeah, well, I always. Say when people are like, do you
- 55:44have any hobbies? I'm like, no, no, I got that.
- 55:48Yeah, I can't think of any. I'm so sorry.
- 55:50I. Failed.
- 55:51You're good. I would hate that question
- 55:53because I have no I. Don't know.
- 55:56I'm not sure like something. I'm trying to show off my
- 56:02talents. I need work.
- 56:04They're not hanging. I.
- 56:05Don't know, but well, obviously you sing and you're an actor.
- 56:09That's not hidden though. Yeah, yeah.
- 56:11What is your go to like comfort show when it's just you at home
- 56:16vegging on the couch or whatever?
- 56:17Golden Girls. And like, since I was a kid too,
- 56:22I watched it in real time. Oh my God, I'm not this thing
- 56:26over. And and then I rented the DVDs
- 56:30from the library in high school and college.
- 56:33I would just keep re renting. I don't know why I never bought
- 56:35them. And then, yeah.
- 56:38And then they finally came on Hallmark back in the day.
- 56:41They're just always on the rotation.
- 56:43I've seen every episode dozens of times.
- 56:47Isn't it crazy now that it's like, what were they like 50 or
- 56:51they were supposed? To There's jokes about turning
- 56:5550, there's jokes about yeah being their upper 40.
- 57:01I don't know. I mean, I've seen it, but I'm
- 57:04like, I didn't like watch it through, but like to me, I'm
- 57:08like, are they not? So they're not in like I always
- 57:11just assumed they were in like it old folks, like a retirement
- 57:15community. No, they're living the dream
- 57:17because so blanch looking old it's her house and she gets 2
- 57:24roommates and then Dorothy's like can my mom live here too?
- 57:28So they all just become like chosen family besties.
- 57:32They're all living in the same house in Miami, and I'm like,
- 57:36yeah, that's the dream right there.
- 57:37Truly. Just live with your besties.
- 57:39Yeah, that's that's amazing. If Mika were a real mom, what
- 57:45kind of mom would she be? Oh my God, she'd be so good.
- 57:50She'd be so hands on. She would probably be a really
- 57:55good homeschool teacher. Like if she would like, she'd be
- 57:59so on top of it, organize everything, thought through,
- 58:04planned out. She'd be like the mom that
- 58:07you're like, she's so annoying. She always gets it right.
- 58:12You know her kid wouldn't care. Her kid, probably still.
- 58:15Wouldn't care. She'd probably like volunteer to
- 58:16be class mom. Like I don't volunteer to do any
- 58:19of that because I'm just like I get like socially anxious and
- 58:22that sounds awful to me. So like room parent PTA Mika
- 58:27would be like sure, sign me up, I'll bake whatever you want.
- 58:31Yeah, now what would your advice be for two other actors who are
- 58:41thinking of becoming parents? Oh, don't lose yourself.
- 58:47I thought you were going to say don't do.
- 58:50It or don't do it. It's pretty hard.
- 58:53Lose yourself. Don't.
- 58:56Lose yourself. And like, I think it's also
- 59:02being OK with not performing, not like saying forever, I'm
- 59:08just saying if you have like, especially in the very beginning
- 59:11when it's really hard and you're exhausted and postpartum
- 59:14hormones and all the things to just like be easy on yourself
- 59:18and know that your brain and your body need a break and not
- 59:23auditioning and, and all the things and like that it's OK.
- 59:27And that jobs will, I mean, the business is bad right now, but
- 59:32New York and LA, like, they're not going anywhere.
- 59:35So if you're like, you know what?
- 59:36I think I need to take a year to just be with the babe if you
- 59:39can. Like that's a privilege in
- 59:40itself. Sure.
- 59:41Yeah. Like take it and don't feel
- 59:43guilty about it. But still do like little things
- 59:46to like keep yourself connected to yourself.
- 59:49Like if it's watching Golden Girls every day, like I did that
- 59:52a lot when I was breastfeeding because I'm just like my show,
- 59:55you know? Yeah, I love that.
- 59:58Well, that's yeah, that's great advice.
- 1:00:01I. Love it.
- 1:00:02We'll. See.
- 1:00:03Oh yeah? Well.
- 1:00:04I feel like. We could talk so much longer,
- 1:00:07but we got shit to do. We got shit to do, guys.
- 1:00:13Do our shit. Thank you so so much for for
- 1:00:19chatting with me and being so open and honest.
- 1:00:23And of course, here and on your social media.
- 1:00:26I love it. And I yeah, I'm excited to see
- 1:00:32what this hard year brings in. In abundance, in a good way.
- 1:00:38The good. That wasn't the worst way to
- 1:00:41word it. I'm with you.
- 1:00:43I translated. I'm with you.
- 1:00:44Great. Thanks.
- 1:00:46No, I thank you. Thanks for this space to let me
- 1:00:49rant and rave. I love it.
- 1:00:51Yes. Thank you so much for doing it.
- 1:00:53Yeah. We'll talk soon, OK.
- 1:00:56And, and I will e-mail you with, like, I'll probably just ask you
- 1:01:02for, like, pictures you're OK with us using for social.
- 1:01:07And then I'll let you know when the episode's coming out and all
- 1:01:11that jazz. I'll share away.
- 1:01:14I'll pump it up. All right, well, you have a good
