- 0:09Speaker 1: Vice shooter, the lord e. Then I show up your
- 0:17Speaker 1: host shooter and it is Wednesday, which means dear friend,
- 0:21Speaker 1: and he is a dear friend. Donny Meecham joins us, Hey, Donnie,
- 0:25Speaker 1: are you there, h.
- 0:27Speaker 2: Lo?
- 0:27Speaker 3: It is Wednesday, Wednesday, Wednesday, And oh it's a fabulous
- 0:33Speaker 3: week because I just I'm getting a giggle out of
- 0:37Speaker 3: all of this.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Meghan markle Shade, I.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Just never love her. I actually really like I think
- 0:43Speaker 1: I like her too. It just never ends. But we'll
- 0:45Speaker 1: get into that story in a minute after we talk
- 0:46Speaker 1: about your fabulous new haircut. You're cute, Donnie.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Well, this is the thing.
- 0:50Speaker 4: So this is a little secret about my barber because
- 0:53Speaker 4: most men, they are like very.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Particular about who they go to for a haircut. They're
- 0:56Speaker 2: very particularly my barber.
- 0:59Speaker 4: I love them because I just go in, I sit down,
- 1:03Speaker 4: and he does what he wants.
- 1:04Speaker 2: He doesn't ask, he doesn't ask me what I want.
- 1:07Speaker 2: So sometimes he'll.
- 1:08Speaker 4: Chop it all off like you did this time, or
- 1:10Speaker 4: other times he'll you know, just chop a cinemeter off.
- 1:14Speaker 1: Well you've got a good day. You've got a good one.
- 1:17Speaker 1: You've got a good one. It looks fantastic. My friend,
- 1:19Speaker 1: let's jump into our show what time is it? And
- 1:21Speaker 1: it is d time. Big story at the top of
- 1:23Speaker 1: the show at Meghan mochl story. So the Dudges of
- 1:25Speaker 1: Sussex is now reportedly hounding her celebrity friends to promote
- 1:30Speaker 1: her new lifestyle brand. So this comes from legendary journalist
- 1:33Speaker 1: Tina Brown. I've known her for twenty years. She's the
- 1:36Speaker 1: former Vanity Fair editor. She's a really big deal. She's
- 1:39Speaker 1: also the biographer of Princess Diana. She knew Diana very
- 1:43Speaker 1: very well. She just tore into Meghan, claiming that she
- 1:46Speaker 1: hasn't figured out a convincing persona yet and she has
- 1:49Speaker 1: this instinct forgetting everything wrong. So Brown says that the
- 1:54Speaker 1: only show that Meghan could have done that might actually
- 1:57Speaker 1: have worked is not this Netflix show, not a cooking show,
- 1:59Speaker 1: not a lifestyle show, but a show where she admits
- 2:03Speaker 1: that the last five years have been a quote, flaming flop. Now,
- 2:09Speaker 1: I think we can all agree, even the Megan fans,
- 2:12Speaker 1: things are not where she should like them to be
- 2:15Speaker 1: in her career. After leaving the Royal family and sitting
- 2:18Speaker 1: down with Oprah and Harry, I think she thought her career,
- 2:21Speaker 1: her life would be in a very different place. This
- 2:24Speaker 1: is really the last shot on Netflix. They've had a
- 2:26Speaker 1: few chances, not done so well. Her podcast did not
- 2:29Speaker 1: do so well. I'm not going to run down the
- 2:30Speaker 1: laundry list of stuff. But not being as successful as
- 2:33Speaker 1: I think we all thought she would be. But that
- 2:36Speaker 1: isn't it Donnie. Tina Brown is also saying that Megan Markle,
- 2:39Speaker 1: the Duchess of Sussex, is hounding A. That's a tough word. Hounding.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Should we just say encouraging? Encouraging her celebrity pals to
- 2:49Speaker 1: promote her new lifestyle brand. Doesn't it sound different when
- 2:53Speaker 1: you change one word. If I had a lifestyle brand out,
- 2:56Speaker 1: I've had some jam, Donnie, I'd ask you, my friend
- 2:59Speaker 1: promote I jam. Would I hound you? Or maybe I would?
- 3:03Speaker 1: But I think that's a good thing. When you've got
- 3:05Speaker 1: a new business. Anybody even knows having a new business,
- 3:08Speaker 1: you got to have a hustle having a new project,
- 3:10Speaker 1: donn A. You gotta have a hustle asking friends to help.
- 3:12Speaker 1: There's nothing wrong with that. What do you think?
- 3:14Speaker 4: No? Hounding is hounding means your friends aren't willing to
- 3:19Speaker 4: do it?
- 3:19Speaker 2: Are right jumping to do it? For you.
- 3:21Speaker 4: If you had a new project, you wouldn't even have
- 3:23Speaker 4: to ask me. I would immediately want to promote it.
- 3:26Speaker 4: If I would dig up the Queen to get.
- 3:30Speaker 2: To promote my lifestyle brand. If I was Meghan right now,
- 3:32Speaker 2: I would literally I would do a talk show next
- 3:35Speaker 2: to the Queen.
- 3:35Speaker 4: You're terrible just talking about my life in the palace.
- 3:39Speaker 2: That's I mean, Meghan. If I was Megan, Meghan hellolo, Hello,
- 3:42Speaker 2: just do it?
- 3:43Speaker 1: Who cares? Who cares? Do you think Tina's right here
- 3:48Speaker 1: that she hasn't quite found a coat that fits, So
- 3:51Speaker 1: I think that's Tina didn't put it in a very
- 3:53Speaker 1: nice way, but I think what she was saying was
- 3:55Speaker 1: actually very very true. She hasn't quite yet figured it out.
- 4:00Speaker 1: She was doing this podcast in a brand with Jana Sman,
- 4:03Speaker 1: another former editor of US Weekly, and Jana said it
- 4:06Speaker 1: really well. She said, quote, it's like what happened with
- 4:09Speaker 1: Meghan Kelly when she left Fox and she went to NBC,
- 4:13Speaker 1: and she was like, you know who I really am.
- 4:15Speaker 1: I love moms, and I love to cook, and I
- 4:17Speaker 1: love talking about my kids. And none of that was
- 4:21Speaker 1: exactly the essence of Megan Kelly. We shrink to fit.
- 4:25Speaker 1: When we do different projects, we become a different part
- 4:28Speaker 1: of ourselves. I'm not saying it's not who you are,
- 4:30Speaker 1: but it's a different emphasis. I don't think Meghan has
- 4:34Speaker 1: yet found that persona that fits.
- 4:38Speaker 4: I can do a lot of things in this business.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I would not go and replace Al Roker. It just
- 4:43Speaker 4: wouldn't make sense, you Like, it wouldn't make sense.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Like I could do it. I could get up there
- 4:48Speaker 2: and I could maybe read a teleprom and stuff, but
- 4:53Speaker 2: it just wouldn't be right.
- 4:56Speaker 4: It's not a fit for me because I'm not passionate
- 4:59Speaker 4: about it. We think that's what maybe Tina's trying to
- 5:02Speaker 4: say in a more flashier way to get clicks and
- 5:05Speaker 4: head and stuff.
- 5:06Speaker 2: But I don't think Meghan knows.
- 5:10Speaker 4: Exactly what she wants to do, and so I think
- 5:13Speaker 4: that's what she.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Needs to find. But also I'm just I'm.
- 5:17Speaker 4: So interested that they don't do things together as after
- 5:25Speaker 4: something about that is weird to me.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I don't know if it's Meghan's choice.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I think they both have made a choice that they're
- 5:30Speaker 1: stronger apart because they don't have many mutual interests. Like
- 5:35Speaker 1: Harry's not a big cook. In fact, most of his
- 5:37Speaker 1: meals all his life were prepared by a servant, let's
- 5:40Speaker 1: be honest to you, by staff at the palace. And
- 5:42Speaker 1: so Harry is not that good in the kitchen. Megan
- 5:45Speaker 1: just have some authenticity here because she did have that block.
- 5:49Speaker 1: She had the ting is that what it's called? But
- 5:51Speaker 1: that was over over five six years ago, I think
- 5:55Speaker 1: maybe even a decade ago. And somebody else I read
- 5:58Speaker 1: a reporter and an analysis of Megan and they said
- 6:01Speaker 1: that she's applying rules culture feelings from ten years ago
- 6:06Speaker 1: today and that has changed. Shows like Rachel Ray went
- 6:10Speaker 1: off the air. They didn't work anymore because now people
- 6:13Speaker 1: want their food experience on TikTok. They won it in
- 6:16Speaker 1: a very different manner, and so to try and produce
- 6:19Speaker 1: and it was a beautifully produced show. I watched all
- 6:21Speaker 1: eight episodes. To try and sit down and do an
- 6:24Speaker 1: old fashioned, traditional type cooking lifestyle show, a Martha Stewart
- 6:29Speaker 1: type show just wouldn't work today. Didn't work today. It
- 6:32Speaker 1: felt old fashioned, it felt out of date. It felt
- 6:34Speaker 1: like a show that had been produced ten years ago,
- 6:36Speaker 1: and it was on a repeat rather than a brand
- 6:39Speaker 1: new show. So I think they have to figure out
- 6:40Speaker 1: how to freshen it up. But they also to Megan
- 6:43Speaker 1: has to figure out who are you just who are you?
- 6:47Speaker 1: Are you a chef or you a lifestyle guru? Who
- 6:50Speaker 1: are you? You know? Tina Brown had some really good advice,
- 6:54Speaker 1: which was just take a break to sit back. She's
- 6:59Speaker 1: actually said it was quite in Tina fashion. Again, she's
- 7:02Speaker 1: very very abrupt. She said shut up and wait, and
- 7:05Speaker 1: she said opportunities will come to you. There is a
- 7:09Speaker 1: moment when a billion people watched your wedding. Tina really
- 7:13Speaker 1: believes that Hollywood would have loved this. They would have
- 7:16Speaker 1: begged them to do red copets, they would have begged
- 7:19Speaker 1: them to be at the Oscars, but they've ruined all
- 7:21Speaker 1: that because of this Netflix deal that just hasn't played there,
- 7:25Speaker 1: which brings us to our pole question of the day.
- 7:28Speaker 1: The Duchess of Sussex is reportedly hounding her celebrity pals
- 7:32Speaker 1: to promote her new lifestyle brand. Do you think this
- 7:36Speaker 1: is pougy or do you think this is clever? If
- 7:38Speaker 1: you want to sell some jam, having Kim Kardashian, having
- 7:42Speaker 1: Oprah Winfrey say it's delicious, that's gotta help. So is
- 7:46Speaker 1: this a good idea or is this just two pushy,
- 7:50Speaker 1: Hey gay vote on our Twitter page. I had naughty nice rama.
- 7:52Speaker 1: Facebook page is naughty gossip and be sure there's a
- 7:55Speaker 1: check back to my row. Want to hear your results.
- 7:57Speaker 1: Hey Donnie, who are you working on?
- 7:59Speaker 2: Brittany and True Britney Fashion.
- 8:01Speaker 4: You know, showed a video of her son, Jayden James
- 8:04Speaker 4: feeder Line, who is eighteen years old now.
- 8:07Speaker 5: And he's freestyle rapping, and it's just interesting because you know,
- 8:12Speaker 5: he's swaying all dramatically, and of course Brittany is like
- 8:16Speaker 5: cheering him on, and she goes, that was really good.
- 8:19Speaker 2: My son just played.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Oh my, I felt it in my bones and my
- 8:22Speaker 4: heart and my lungs and my.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Mothroat.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I'm scared. It's like Brittany, I get it, but I.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Just everything about this is scary because he's.
- 8:35Speaker 2: Eighteen years old and I still will go on. I'll
- 8:38Speaker 2: say it.
- 8:39Speaker 4: It's interesting that Jayden came around the second she's stopped support.
- 8:45Speaker 4: I'm very it's suspicious. I think that he is, I'll
- 8:52Speaker 4: say it. I think he's using his mind.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Well, we're protective about Brittany. We love
- 8:56Speaker 1: Britney spears here. I hope you're wrong, Donny. What makes
- 8:58Speaker 1: me concerned, Heya, is that she videoed it. There should
- 9:01Speaker 1: be a private moment between a mother and her son.
- 9:04Speaker 1: If I could play the piano like that and it's
- 9:05Speaker 1: pretty good, my mom would jump up and down in
- 9:08Speaker 1: the little room and say, wow, Wow, wonderful. Keep practicing.
- 9:11Speaker 1: But she wouldn't have videoed it and announced to the
- 9:13Speaker 1: world that I'm a genius because he's a good piano player.
- 9:17Speaker 1: He's clearly a kid who took piano lessons. He's good.
- 9:20Speaker 1: He's not Mozart. But it looked pretty good to me.
- 9:22Speaker 1: It sounded pretty good to me. Brittany, this is not healthy.
- 9:25Speaker 1: And I know what you're doing. You've got hundreds of
- 9:28Speaker 1: millions of followers. You think you can help your son's
- 9:30Speaker 1: career and what mommy doesn't want to do that, But
- 9:33Speaker 1: in reality, you're not. This is going to turn people off.
- 9:36Speaker 1: In fact, I would argue he's going to have a
- 9:38Speaker 1: disadvantage having Brittany as his mom. Every audition, everywhere he goes.
- 9:43Speaker 1: People are going to be a little bit more wary
- 9:45Speaker 1: of him because they don't know how Britney's going to
- 9:47Speaker 1: react to all this. But I do it does it?
- 9:50Speaker 1: It makes me so nervous, this need for attention, this need,
- 9:55Speaker 1: this need to put everything on social media like your
- 9:58Speaker 1: life is a reality show. No, Brittany, And remember your
- 10:03Speaker 1: kids said one of the reasons they did not speak
- 10:05Speaker 1: to you for years was because they were uncomfortable with
- 10:08Speaker 1: what you posted on social media. So now that he's
- 10:11Speaker 1: back in your life or whatever reason, Donnie, I hope
- 10:14Speaker 1: you're wrong. I'm not convinced you are, but I hope
- 10:15Speaker 1: you are if you're back for good reasons or bad reasons.
- 10:18Speaker 1: He's back and he's giving Brittany a lot of pleasure. Brittany,
- 10:21Speaker 1: you're going to push him away. I know you think
- 10:23Speaker 1: you're helping by putting all this out there on social media,
- 10:27Speaker 1: but he said he doesn't like it. That's the other
- 10:29Speaker 1: thing too. You can't tell your mom you don't like
- 10:32Speaker 1: her social media when she's posting videos of herself, but
- 10:35Speaker 1: you wanted to post videos of you. Which way do
- 10:38Speaker 1: you want it? Do you want social media or not?
- 10:40Speaker 1: But I do think this will backfire on his career.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I don't think any record executive today Donnie is looking
- 10:46Speaker 1: at that video so wow, gosh, we've discovered the next
- 10:49Speaker 1: Justin Bieber Or This is Taylor Swift. I think they're
- 10:51Speaker 1: all looking at it saying this video is so odd,
- 10:54Speaker 1: it's awkward, it's odd.
- 10:56Speaker 4: Obviously wants to pursue this, Yes, maybea as a career.
- 10:59Speaker 4: I'm what I'm thinking is that he's going to Britney
- 11:03Speaker 4: to record something with him.
- 11:06Speaker 2: That's why he is not ready.
- 11:07Speaker 1: He's not ready, or he will re release her music
- 11:10Speaker 1: as a piano concerto. He'll do upside of it again
- 11:13Speaker 1: on the piano. Just not a good look. I know.
- 11:15Speaker 1: It's an immediate gratification. If he did that could get
- 11:19Speaker 1: a million views on Instagram, on TikTok in ten minutes.
- 11:22Speaker 1: It would be huge, But it doesn't last. I think
- 11:25Speaker 1: he should start small. I think he should start playing
- 11:28Speaker 1: little piano bars in La little clubs in Vegas. Just
- 11:31Speaker 1: start as every big every real artist does. Learn your
- 11:35Speaker 1: craft and tell your mom don't post it yet, Mum.
- 11:38Speaker 1: I'm not ready. I'm still learning. I'm still really really
- 11:40Speaker 1: trying to hone in my skills here. It's not ready
- 11:43Speaker 1: for two hundred million people to see him because she's Brittany.
- 11:46Speaker 1: A lot of music executives, a lot of people in
- 11:48Speaker 1: the business. You and me, Donnie, we follow Brittany, we
- 11:50Speaker 1: watch these videos, I don't think you're helping. Okay, moving along,
- 11:55Speaker 1: Travis and Taylor had a low key date together after
- 11:59Speaker 1: RecA on a secret getaway so after the super Bowl
- 12:03Speaker 1: he did not win. Spoiler alert. I think I can
- 12:06Speaker 1: say that now Taylor and Travis enjoyed enjoyed a little
- 12:09Speaker 1: getaway together. We still don't know where they went, which
- 12:12Speaker 1: I absolutely love. However, now we did spot them in
- 12:15Speaker 1: Park City, Utah, Utah, making their first public appearance since
- 12:20Speaker 1: the Super Bowl lost. The pop star and the football
- 12:23Speaker 1: player were keeping things very low key. They were swiftly
- 12:27Speaker 1: wing quing quing escorted from a restaurant to their waiting
- 12:30Speaker 1: White Range Rover. Security flank the pair. They were bundled
- 12:34Speaker 1: ofp its chili Chili weather, but it was definitely them.
- 12:37Speaker 1: I like that these two now have gone a little
- 12:39Speaker 1: bit undercovered. This is what Megan markm leads to do.
- 12:41Speaker 1: I was sort of at the point of Taylor and
- 12:43Speaker 1: travis saturation. It was too much. I'm glad that they've
- 12:48Speaker 1: took a step back. This is what a really smart,
- 12:51Speaker 1: smart person does. She knows, Taylor knows she was over
- 12:55Speaker 1: exposed and has now pulled back and I think this
- 12:58Speaker 1: is really clever.
- 12:58Speaker 4: What do you think don't they Well, I mean the
- 13:00Speaker 4: super Bowl was a month ago, February night.
- 13:05Speaker 2: It's over a month ago. And the thing is is, though,
- 13:07Speaker 2: is that we had talked about it.
- 13:09Speaker 4: Taylor needed to take a break. And I think the
- 13:13Speaker 4: fact that in the past month there hasn't been that
- 13:17Speaker 4: many Taylor headlines, there hasn't been that many Travis Gelsie headlines.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And so and we all know Taylor is lover or not.
- 13:25Speaker 4: She is the smartest, She's the smartest, hardest working woman
- 13:29Speaker 4: in the bus.
- 13:30Speaker 1: And I'll say the talented to the most talented. Okay,
- 13:33Speaker 1: quickly before we get a break downny Scolo Johnson is
- 13:35Speaker 1: revealing that she protects her kids from fame at all costs.
- 13:38Speaker 1: What does she have to say, Well.
- 13:40Speaker 2: This, to be honest, I didn't know she had kids.
- 13:43Speaker 1: This is why she's said good. I knew she had
- 13:45Speaker 1: a child who was ten, I knew she had a daughter.
- 13:47Speaker 1: I forgot she'd had a son with Kis with a
- 13:51Speaker 1: little weird name. But she's doing a good job.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Yes, with Colin Joe's that little hearty.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Oh, Colin Joe was so hot.
- 13:58Speaker 2: So anyways, she goes.
- 13:59Speaker 4: If anyone knows me, I definitely overshare. I'm not a
- 14:02Speaker 4: closed book. I'm you know, I'm.
- 14:04Speaker 2: Politically active and vocal about it.
- 14:06Speaker 4: But I'm private person in the sense that I value
- 14:09Speaker 4: my clothes, friendships, and animity of my children is very
- 14:15Speaker 4: precious to me.
- 14:16Speaker 2: She hid the fact from me. Somebody in the bill.
- 14:20Speaker 2: I didn't know about pocas we.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Did this for a living, now about the one we
- 14:24Speaker 1: do this for a living to scartup, I might have
- 14:26Speaker 1: known about this, but I sort of I think this
- 14:28Speaker 1: is just fantastic, just fantastic. Okay, We're going to take
- 14:31Speaker 1: a quick break and we will be right back. Welcome
- 14:35Speaker 1: back to the Naughty but Nic Show. I'm your heatest
- 14:37Speaker 1: room shooting with my dear friend Donny Meachm. Hey, Donnie,
- 14:39Speaker 1: let's get to the polls that dada. Last show, Wendy Williams,
- 14:42Speaker 1: we talked about Wendy Williams scoring a ten out of
- 14:44Speaker 1: ten on a mental test, shot a cognitive test, and
- 14:47Speaker 1: she passed it with flying colors. Is it time to
- 14:50Speaker 1: free Wendy? So I did a little poking around and
- 14:52Speaker 1: they asked her, who is the president? Who? What's your
- 14:55Speaker 1: date of birth? She knew the answers to all this stuff,
- 14:58Speaker 1: but she passed that test. Is it time time? Is
- 15:00Speaker 1: it time to set her free? What do you think?
- 15:04Speaker 1: Ninety five percent said yes, I agree with you. Hey,
- 15:07Speaker 1: don't forget to vote on today's pole. Got a Twitter paycheck, naughty, nice,
- 15:10Speaker 1: rare about Facebook page already gossip and be sure to
- 15:13Speaker 1: check back to my router to hear your results. And
- 15:15Speaker 1: now it's time for the nicest of the day.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I forget the news coming out about Wendy is very sad,
- 15:23Speaker 4: very tragic.
- 15:24Speaker 2: Yes, free her. AnyWho, the nicest of the day is
- 15:27Speaker 2: a Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper.
- 15:30Speaker 4: And so you're thinking, okay, why is this the nicest
- 15:33Speaker 4: of the day because of how they think some a
- 15:37Speaker 4: power couple like this where they meet Taylor Swifts House,
- 15:40Speaker 4: you know Victorious Secret Fashion Shoe Raah, the.
- 15:43Speaker 2: Dating app for celebs.
- 15:45Speaker 4: No, they met at a child's birthday part lovel Yes,
- 15:50Speaker 4: just you know, little balloons and cupcakes and elbow and
- 15:53Speaker 4: a clown and there's Gg Hardide and Bradley Cooper relationship.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Tell me to go to all these kids' birthday parties.
- 16:01Speaker 2: I'll fine, Maybe I'll find my Bradley.
- 16:04Speaker 1: You need to get to a birthday party right after
- 16:06Speaker 1: this podcast. I had nicest to the day, and now
- 16:08Speaker 1: I know it's the day. Naughty, naughty, naughty. Wendy Williams
- 16:10Speaker 1: guardianship is under investigation now for elder abuse. Good because
- 16:13Speaker 1: they left her penniless in Miami. To remember a couple
- 16:16Speaker 1: of weeks ago when you went to visit her dad.
- 16:18Speaker 1: I think it was his ninety fourth birthday in Miami. Well,
- 16:21Speaker 1: her guardians said yes, she could go. However, they sent
- 16:25Speaker 1: her with a credit card that had no money on it.
- 16:27Speaker 1: The Sun is reporting that the card was declined everywhere
