- 0:00Speaker 1: You're listening to KF I AM six forty the Bill
- 0:03Speaker 1: Handle show on demand on the iHeartRadio app.
- 0:15Speaker 2: And now handle on the news. Ladies and gentlemen, here's
- 0:20Speaker 2: Bill Handle and this is KFI eight M six forty
- 0:31Speaker 2: Bill Handle here. Good morning. Oh yeah, all right, there's
- 0:35Speaker 2: Will cole Schreiber already in his Dodger's hat for Opening Day.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Good morning, Good morning, Amy. Why are you not wearing
- 0:43Speaker 2: Dodger Dodger garb this morning?
- 0:46Speaker 3: I worried yesterday and went to the game. Yesterday was
- 0:49Speaker 3: Opening Day.
- 0:50Speaker 2: Ah, that's true. Oh so Will's a day behind. Okay,
- 0:53Speaker 2: fair enough? And did you enjoy the game?
- 0:56Speaker 3: It was so great? It was fun. I was just
- 0:58Speaker 3: talking Will and I were just talking about it. The
- 1:00Speaker 3: energy at Dodger Stadium. I don't know why it's different
- 1:02Speaker 3: this year, but I mean last night felt like a
- 1:05Speaker 3: playoff game. It just was so much fun. And of
- 1:08Speaker 3: course we won, which is so much fun.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Yeh.
- 1:10Speaker 3: And the opening ceremonies were great and they did some
- 1:13Speaker 3: kind of fun creative stuff and they brought out the
- 1:16Speaker 3: World Series trophies, the back to back trophy.
- 1:18Speaker 2: I have a question. I mean, they still have foot
- 1:20Speaker 2: long hot dogs at Dodger games.
- 1:22Speaker 3: Right, they're not technically foot long half hot dogs. They
- 1:25Speaker 3: have Dodger dogs and then they have this ginormous it's
- 1:28Speaker 3: like an eighteen inch hot dog.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Okay, let me ask you, does every jew that goes
- 1:32Speaker 2: to the game look at these hot dogs with envy?
- 1:35Speaker 3: You know? I don't know. I haven't really paid attention
- 1:37Speaker 3: to that.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Oh okay, just dripping with envy on Look, next time
- 1:42Speaker 2: I go.
- 1:43Speaker 4: I was sitting I was sitting at my desk and
- 1:47Speaker 4: doing some work yesterday, and then all of us sudden,
- 1:50Speaker 4: I hear.
- 1:56Speaker 3: The jets.
- 1:57Speaker 4: Why are there fighter jets flying over? And then it
- 2:00Speaker 4: hit me, oh, Opening day and that was two of them.
- 2:04Speaker 4: They're beautiful, always cool to see.
- 2:06Speaker 2: I always really enjoy the various airplanes that go over
- 2:10Speaker 2: the Rose Parade. For example, Formula one races all over
- 2:14Speaker 2: the world. Those airplanes fly, and the things like the
- 2:19Speaker 2: Dodger Games very moving. I've already I've always enjoyed these
- 2:24Speaker 2: planes weapons of war loaded with munitions, so you can
- 2:28Speaker 2: actually see the two thousand pound bomb on the wing.
- 2:31Speaker 2: It's it's America at its best. And by the way,
- 2:35Speaker 2: I mean that that's not stick for me. Okay, and
- 2:40Speaker 2: good morning to you. Good morning, and Sam is back,
- 2:45Speaker 2: Good morning. What is going on with Cono? Do we know?
- 2:48Speaker 2: I have no idea.
- 2:49Speaker 4: I think he means, hello, Sam, thanks for being here.
- 2:52Speaker 2: No, I don't. I mean, what's going on with Kno,
- 2:56Speaker 2: I don't know. He might have been at the Dodger
- 2:59Speaker 2: game last night. For all, I have said that we
- 3:04Speaker 2: are going to stop doing Trump stories. Okay, so let
- 3:07Speaker 2: me start the morning with two of them. Okay, And
- 3:11Speaker 2: as I said, there's some crazy ones, there's some ones
- 3:14Speaker 2: that really do effective affect us, and then they're just
- 3:17Speaker 2: so funny.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Ways, isn't it kind of like standing in a shower
- 3:20Speaker 4: trying to dodge Yeah?
- 3:22Speaker 2: No, some of them not just really good Okay, two
- 3:25Speaker 2: more Okay. The administration has now changed the signatory on currency.
- 3:32Speaker 2: If you look at any of the currency, it is
- 3:34Speaker 2: the Secretary of the Treasure of the Secretary of I
- 3:39Speaker 2: think it's a Commerce secretary as well as the Treasure
- 3:42Speaker 2: of the United States sign on those bills. If you
- 3:45Speaker 2: look at it, it is now going to be the
- 3:47Speaker 2: Secretary of the Secretary of Commerce and President Trumps signature
- 3:54Speaker 2: will now appear on currency. It's never been done in
- 3:57Speaker 2: history before. And another one that kind of you know
- 4:00Speaker 2: what I was kind of is that for real? Yeah,
- 4:02Speaker 2: it's being a report, oh yeah, oh yeah. And then
- 4:05Speaker 2: the other one, which kind of I found fascinating, is
- 4:08Speaker 2: that the Trump Organization has applied for copyright on the
- 4:13Speaker 2: name Donald J. Trump, which means that if any city,
- 4:18Speaker 2: state building, municipal build, uh, a municipal building, any uh
- 4:25Speaker 2: street name uh is going to take on Donald Trump's name,
- 4:30Speaker 2: it has to get the permission from the copy righted
- 4:34Speaker 2: owner of that name.
- 4:36Speaker 4: But how can you you could do that the name
- 4:40Speaker 4: you can president.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You can copyright that anything. You can copyright the name
- 4:43Speaker 2: of the president. Now, if you use the name as news,
- 4:47Speaker 2: you can't do a damn thing about it. But if
- 4:49Speaker 2: you're talking, uh, your pardon, it's like the super Bowl exactly.
- 4:54Speaker 2: It's exactly like the super Bowl.
- 4:57Speaker 4: Yeah you can.
- 4:59Speaker 2: So you can't say you can't say President Trump's name
- 5:01Speaker 2: without having, you know, interfere with a copywriter and fringe.
- 5:05Speaker 2: What you have to say is the big guy who
- 5:08Speaker 2: just passed the bill. Okay, enough of that, that's those
- 5:14Speaker 2: are just fun. He has to admit, who's gonna name
- 5:17Speaker 2: a town or something? I mean, who's going to use it? Oh,
- 5:22Speaker 2: pick a town in Mississippi. Oh yeah, I just pick
- 5:25Speaker 2: any town.
- 5:25Speaker 4: Isn't that ensuring that nobody will do those things? Not
- 5:29Speaker 4: going to name a school after you?
- 5:30Speaker 2: Or are you kidding? Are you kidding? Scott Bassent said
- 5:34Speaker 2: of the new signature or the new coin that's being
- 5:37Speaker 2: issued by the US Mint of Donald Trump's face on
- 5:41Speaker 2: the dollar coin, said that the best way to celebrate
- 5:46Speaker 2: two hundred and fifty years of greatness of the United
- 5:49Speaker 2: States is to do so with a coin with Donald
- 5:52Speaker 2: Trump's face on it. Crazy. It's all just prazy. Wow.
- 6:01Speaker 2: So from now on we will never never agree or
- 6:06Speaker 2: we'll never utter the name of President Trump. It will
- 6:10Speaker 2: always be the big guy. Okay, the big guy said. Okay,
- 6:16Speaker 2: it's just fair. It's this fun stuff, you know. I mean,
- 6:19Speaker 2: you have to admit. I don't even care if you're
- 6:21Speaker 2: a hugely if you're a huge Trump follower with you know,
- 6:23Speaker 2: because you like the policy whatever, you gotta be entertained
- 6:27Speaker 2: by this stuff. I mean, there is no way around it.
- 6:30Speaker 2: All right, We're done. And then I didn't I don't
- 6:32Speaker 2: know if I said hello to Neil or not. I
- 6:33Speaker 2: don't care.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Okay, you ready?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Are you ready to do it? Handle on the news
- 6:39Speaker 2: on this Friday morning, Foody Friday, Ask Handle Anything Friday
- 6:43Speaker 2: with Amy Neil and me lead story.
- 6:47Speaker 4: I'm kicking what they gave it because I'm working far.
- 6:50Speaker 2: The Senate agreed this morning to fund the Department of
- 6:55Speaker 2: Homeland Security, which means TSA is going to be funded immediately.
- 7:01Speaker 2: The President signed the order or will sign saying that yep,
- 7:07Speaker 2: so he switched gears. Also, everybody switched gears, and they've
- 7:12Speaker 2: now come to some kind of an agreement and it's
- 7:15Speaker 2: simply a way to pay TSA because frankly, both sides
- 7:20Speaker 2: of the Aisle and the President were just send the
- 7:23Speaker 2: administration getting nailed on those TSA lines. I mean that
- 7:27Speaker 2: just reached across every level of politics saying man, we're
- 7:32Speaker 2: done with you guys. Five hour waits at airports, completely crazy.
- 7:37Speaker 2: So hopefully this is going to improve.
- 7:43Speaker 3: Remember that old song, give Me just a little more time.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Yep.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Well, looks like that's what the President is doing. He's
- 7:49Speaker 3: extended the deadline for a piece deal with Iran by
- 7:51Speaker 3: ten days. The deadline was supposed to be like today,
- 7:54Speaker 3: but he said yesterday that, at Teyron's request, he was
- 7:59Speaker 3: pausing the peace period of energy plant destruction until April sixth.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Then he said he's doing it because the talks are
- 8:05Speaker 3: going really really well.
- 8:08Speaker 2: Okay, not according to Tehran, but that's besides the point.
- 8:11Speaker 2: So it turns out that you know, as I said,
- 8:14Speaker 2: or I had mentioned, or we had mentioned, or people
- 8:16Speaker 2: had mentioned, when the President first said, they really want
- 8:21Speaker 2: to make a deal or we're going to make a deal,
- 8:23Speaker 2: we're talking to them and they're excited, Tehran said, no,
- 8:26Speaker 2: absolutely not. Who do you believe?
- 8:28Speaker 4: Oh no?
- 8:29Speaker 2: And you called this he leave. It was a little
- 8:33Speaker 2: bit of both. Tehran is put dipping its toe in negotiations,
- 8:39Speaker 2: allowing Pakistan to begin talking. The US is looking at
- 8:44Speaker 2: Pakistan to begin talking. And right now this is like
- 8:48Speaker 2: the Vietnam War. You remember the Vietnam the Paris peace talks. Well,
- 8:53Speaker 2: they spent the not of States in Vietnam spent eighteen
- 8:57Speaker 2: months on the shape of the tae.
- 9:00Speaker 3: Do you think that that problem the shape of the table?
- 9:05Speaker 2: No? No, But I think it's going to be a while.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I don't think it's going to be two four more weeks.
- 9:10Speaker 2: I think it's going to be a long.
- 9:11Speaker 3: While by time to get the troops there. You know,
- 9:16Speaker 3: I don't know that is they're on their way.
- 9:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't. I don't know if he's buying times.
- 9:19Speaker 2: Two thousand troops are not going to do much.
- 9:21Speaker 3: There's more than that.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Well, there's two thousand, and there's twenty five hundred marines.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I think, two thousand US airborne and eighty second airborne.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I think so we're talking maybe forty five hundred five
- 9:32Speaker 2: thousand troops, which is not going to do much against
- 9:35Speaker 2: one hundred thousand Revolutionary Guard troops, not counting the regular army.
- 9:41Speaker 2: I don't think that's much. I think what's happening is
- 9:45Speaker 2: that everybody understands there's going to have to be some
- 9:47Speaker 2: kind of agreement. We don't know what it is, some
- 9:51Speaker 2: kind and the President is saying, Okay, we got one coming,
- 9:56Speaker 2: here's an extra, here's five days. No, we got one coming,
- 9:59Speaker 2: here's an extra ten days. I wouldn't be surprised if
- 10:02Speaker 2: there was another delay predicated on we're getting closer and
- 10:05Speaker 2: closer to an agreement. By the way, not one, not
- 10:08Speaker 2: one point has there been an agreement on, not one.
- 10:14Speaker 2: So I think it's going to take longer. Do I
- 10:15Speaker 2: think it's going to happen, Yes, yes, just to be
- 10:18Speaker 2: a while. Okay, let's take a break. We'll be back
- 10:21Speaker 2: a line AM six forty Bill Handle. Good morning, Friday,
- 10:26Speaker 2: March twenty seven. More Handle on the news, Amy, Neil
- 10:29Speaker 2: and me.
- 10:31Speaker 4: Another close call. The FAA is investigating a Blackhawk helicopter,
- 10:37Speaker 4: obviously a military helicopter, crossing right in front of the
- 10:40Speaker 4: flight path of United Airlines flight. The air the United
- 10:45Speaker 4: Airlines flight was coming in for a landing in Orange
- 10:48Speaker 4: County at the John Wayne Airport. There very close call
- 10:53Speaker 4: happened between that United Boeing seven thirty seven, one hundred
- 10:57Speaker 4: and sixty eight passengers on board and the military black Hawk.
- 11:02Speaker 4: This happened on Tuesday, but crazy well, even though an
- 11:05Speaker 4: anti collision alert was triggered.
- 11:08Speaker 2: I mean, this one worked, but you know, Blackhawk helicopter
- 11:13Speaker 2: and a civilian playing just like what happened in Washington. Yeah.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Are you surprised that more of these more collisions don't
- 11:19Speaker 2: happen because we're hearing up at these close calls constantly now.
- 11:25Speaker 4: So they were separated by five hundred feet of vertical
- 11:29Speaker 4: and fourteen hundred feet which is nothing space.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Which is considered nothing because they should be what half
- 11:34Speaker 2: a mile apart if I'm not mistaken.
- 11:36Speaker 4: Oh that Yeah, five hundred miles is nothing, you know
- 11:39Speaker 4: when you're hearing feat size.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Okay, Oh, the story that I talked about this morning amy.
- 11:45Speaker 3: A sign of the time, actually a signature. Donald Trump
- 11:49Speaker 3: is signing your dollar bills, your fives or tens, your twenties.
- 11:53Speaker 3: US Treasury Department has plans to put President Trump's signature
- 11:58Speaker 3: on all new US paper currency. That would be a
- 12:02Speaker 3: first for sitting president, since traditionally paper currency gets the
- 12:07Speaker 3: Treasury Secretary and the treasure signature, not the president's.
- 12:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they're removing the treasure to now have Donald Trump's signature.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Wun't you be mad if you're the treasure.
- 12:19Speaker 2: The one I would be doesn't matter. Yeah, I don't
- 12:22Speaker 2: even know if that. If the Treasurer is an appointed position,
- 12:24Speaker 2: it's a ceremonial position. I mean, it doesn't do much.
- 12:26Speaker 2: It oversees the man and Bureau of Engraving, etc. You
- 12:29Speaker 2: don't remember when I was joking about President Trump's picture
- 12:32Speaker 2: on all the currency and how he'll look like with
- 12:36Speaker 2: a beard on the five dollars bill.
- 12:38Speaker 4: I don't know how much joking I was doing. Actually,
- 12:41Speaker 4: I don't think you can anymore. I don't. I genuinely
- 12:44Speaker 4: don't think you could say anything they say in sci
- 12:47Speaker 4: fi that anything you could put on the screen or
- 12:50Speaker 4: in a book will eventually become technology we can obtain.
- 12:54Speaker 4: And I think anything you can be absurd about when
- 12:57Speaker 4: it comes to President Trump is available as a possibility. Yeah,
- 13:03Speaker 4: I mean seriously, signing the I'm surprised he doesn't want
- 13:06Speaker 4: to handsign him so they're worth more. And then you
- 13:08Speaker 4: know what he's going to do. He's going to charge
- 13:10Speaker 4: the Treasury because his name is copyrighted.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Oh that's right, that's the other one he can make
- 13:15Speaker 2: a right, he very well said good good line lined azure.
- 13:19Speaker 2: But he has applied for or the Trump Organization has
- 13:22Speaker 2: applied for a copyright on his name, which means anybody
- 13:27Speaker 2: using the name would have to get permission of the
- 13:32Speaker 2: copyright owner, and that would be the Trump Organization. Just spectacular, Okay,
- 13:38Speaker 2: moving on to stuff that is going to hit us.
- 13:41Speaker 4: Yeah, it keeps going up. And I've been noticing this
- 13:43Speaker 4: at our home. You might have hit yours. And that
- 13:46Speaker 4: is Netflix and more streamers are going higher and higher,
- 13:50Speaker 4: and now it's going to be knocking on the door
- 13:51Speaker 4: of twenty seven dollars a month. So if you remember,
- 13:55Speaker 4: the standard plan with ads will cost I think it
- 13:59Speaker 4: was eight bucks before. Now it's eight ninety nine, and
- 14:04Speaker 4: the premium plan are raising by two bucks to nineteen
- 14:07Speaker 4: ninety nine and twenty six ninety nine respectively.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean Netflix used to be and I've always
- 14:13Speaker 2: seven bucks or something. Yeah. To me, these platforms are
- 14:17Speaker 2: no commercials. When they started adding ads to these things,
- 14:21Speaker 2: that went in the face of everything. These platforms were creative,
- 14:24Speaker 2: particularly Netflix, and it was I think when they started
- 14:27Speaker 2: it was five ninety nine no commercials with the premium
- 14:31Speaker 2: does today and now people are reeling in terms of
- 14:36Speaker 2: the cost of this. I bundle these things. I have Netflix, HBO,
- 14:42Speaker 2: I do Peacock, I mean I do most of the
- 14:44Speaker 2: big ones Hulu because that's how I watch the TV.
- 14:49Speaker 2: But it's like three hundred dollars a month now.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean it is crazy.
- 14:52Speaker 3: All right, I'm just adding up all my streaming services
- 14:59Speaker 3: for one.
- 15:00Speaker 2: You know what the secret is. You know what Lindsay does,
- 15:01Speaker 2: and it really makes sense is you look at the
- 15:04Speaker 2: bundling deals and for example, Netflix buy for three months
- 15:10Speaker 2: because it adds a few things, and then Hulu will
- 15:14Speaker 2: add things and Netflix drops them, the platform drops them.
- 15:17Speaker 2: So if you're really careful about that, you look carefully,
- 15:21Speaker 2: you can actually save a good chunk of money.
- 15:24Speaker 3: You could say, say, spend the man who's spending three
- 15:26Speaker 3: hundred dollars a month on it.
- 15:27Speaker 4: Yeah, but he would be spelled, but it would be okay, okay, no,
- 15:32Speaker 4: But the reality is you're right. If you if you
- 15:34Speaker 4: watch one for one particular show, you just have to
- 15:37Speaker 4: win that show's over, drop it and then bring it
- 15:40Speaker 4: back for the next season or whatever. It just takes time.
- 15:44Speaker 3: I like to have access to all of the shows
- 15:46Speaker 3: that all of the time.
- 15:49Speaker 2: I can't even imagine that's what it's going to call.
- 15:51Speaker 2: It cost you, although it may be that it's going
- 15:55Speaker 2: to be like movies where you'll be able to buy
- 15:59Speaker 2: well individual movies, like go into the movies.
- 16:01Speaker 3: Well you can, like you can do that on Amazon
- 16:03Speaker 3: and who there's a lot of places where you basically.
- 16:06Speaker 2: Yeah, you rent or by that's correct, But there I
- 16:09Speaker 2: was what was that I was watching We're gonna watch
- 16:11Speaker 2: something the other day with my daughter and we said, okay,
- 16:14Speaker 2: it's covered by Hulu, will pay for it. And it
- 16:16Speaker 2: was two dollars in ninety nine cents per episode.
- 16:21Speaker 4: Wow.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Oh I saw one of those and I'm like, I'm
- 16:23Speaker 3: not paying that.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know how they I don't know how
- 16:26Speaker 2: anybody is going to play seventy dollars for one season. Crazy. Okay,
- 16:32Speaker 2: let's take a break. We'll be back.
- 16:35Speaker 4: You're listening to Bill Handle on demand from KFI AM
- 16:39Speaker 4: six forty.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Friday morning, March twenty seven, Foody Friday at eight o'clock
- 16:46Speaker 2: eight thirty as Handle anything and actually good news because
- 16:51Speaker 2: it looks like the TSA folks are going to be
- 16:53Speaker 2: getting their checks, which is a boy. That's good news
- 16:56Speaker 2: for us and for them all. Right, back we go
- 16:58Speaker 2: more Handle on the News with Amy, Neil and Me.
- 17:02Speaker 3: Left in the dark. More than one hundred thousand people
- 17:06Speaker 3: in South Orange County and parts of San Diego County
- 17:10Speaker 3: lost power last night. San Diego Gas and Electric said
- 17:14Speaker 3: more than one hundred thousand customers initially affected. It was
- 17:18Speaker 3: in Mission via Ho, Laguna Hills, Laguna Neguel. All The
- 17:21Speaker 3: power was restored by about nine o'clock, and SDG and
- 17:25Speaker 3: E said, we understand how disruptive out it just can
- 17:28Speaker 3: be and are working to investigate the cause. So they
- 17:30Speaker 3: don't know why, but that was a lot of people.
- 17:32Speaker 2: Thank you very much. The other things so much fun
- 17:34Speaker 2: about SDNG and I happen to be living in the
- 17:37Speaker 2: San Diego Gaston Electric District is it is the most
- 17:41Speaker 2: expensive utility district in the country. It is a joy.
- 17:47Speaker 4: Good playing Netflix. Hope it hurts you it does.
- 17:53Speaker 2: Well, here's what's weird. I have a full solar system
- 17:57Speaker 2: and I have a battery system at home, and I'm
- 18:01Speaker 2: still paying for power.
- 18:04Speaker 4: Well, your power didn't go out last.
- 18:06Speaker 2: Night, No, it did not. I was not in one
- 18:09Speaker 2: of those areas. Okay.
- 18:11Speaker 4: So, if you've ever seen the clear stations there at
- 18:15Speaker 4: the airport, there's a company, Clear Secure. It's a biometric company.
- 18:20Speaker 4: It allows travelers to bypass the TSA. I've used it
- 18:24Speaker 4: before when I was flying more often, and I loved it.
- 18:27Speaker 4: But so the pain that people have been feeling in
- 18:31Speaker 4: line has translated into a bump in people signing up
- 18:37Speaker 4: for clear and paying for the services by six and
- 18:40Speaker 4: twenty five percent. So people are spending the money. I
- 18:45Speaker 4: can't remember what it was spending the money and utilizing
- 18:48Speaker 4: this to bypass those TSA lines, and probably not a
- 18:52Speaker 4: bad idea, especially.
- 18:54Speaker 2: I'm looking at my app. But the clear app. I
- 18:57Speaker 2: have for the app, but I don't think I've done
- 18:59Speaker 2: my with it. I've got to because that really makes
- 19:03Speaker 2: a lot of sense. I have not seen any clear
- 19:06Speaker 2: lines or clear stations at the airport. No, no, I haven't.
- 19:10Speaker 4: You can sign up right there. As a matter of fact,
- 19:12Speaker 4: they take your biometrics, your your photo, your fingerprints, and
- 19:18Speaker 4: it was not expensive considering it makes it much easier
- 19:22Speaker 4: to roll through the lines if you're traveling lot.
- 19:26Speaker 2: Okay, fair enough.
- 19:30Speaker 3: All good things must come to an end. In twenty
- 19:34Speaker 3: twenty nine, which is the same year the Oscars telecast
- 19:38Speaker 3: moves from ABC to YouTube, the ceremony itself is going
- 19:43Speaker 3: to move from the Doobey Theater in Hollywood to downtown
- 19:47Speaker 3: LA and the Peacock Theater. Of course, the Adobe was
- 19:51Speaker 3: developed by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences
- 19:53Speaker 3: itself expressly as a home for the Oscars. The ceremony
- 19:57Speaker 3: has been there since two thousand and two.
- 20:00Speaker 4: Well, we don't know that we're going to have the
- 20:02Speaker 4: Oscars in twenty twenty nine.
- 20:03Speaker 2: They you know, now, these theaters, as you know, are
- 20:06Speaker 2: developed specifically for the act for the acts. It's remember
- 20:10Speaker 2: zig Freed and Roy uh huh. And Roy ended up
- 20:15Speaker 2: getting eaten by the tiger and he ended up dying.
- 20:19Speaker 2: And they built that theater specifically for that act. Pardon
- 20:23Speaker 2: you lived for a very long time. And then the
- 20:27Speaker 2: tig no, no, not after he got bit and it
- 20:30Speaker 2: turned out he was mauled, not just bit, I mean
- 20:33Speaker 2: the guy, you know, mauled like it was his throw
- 20:35Speaker 2: was slit. It was terrible. But they had that theater
- 20:39Speaker 2: built this specifically for Zeke, Freed and Roy, and as
- 20:41Speaker 2: soon as they left, they had to fill up, you know,
- 20:44Speaker 2: figure out another act, and you know, what do you
- 20:47Speaker 2: do with cages? Because you know they had cages all
- 20:50Speaker 2: over I think they put the acts in cages or
- 20:53Speaker 2: or something. Okay, maybe maybe not cages. But when they
- 20:59Speaker 2: built for all the O theaters for excuse me, all
- 21:03Speaker 2: the oh god, have I already lost that never mind?
- 21:12Speaker 4: In Las Vegas.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Yeah, in Las Vegas, what are all the shows the names?
- 21:18Speaker 2: But fifty of the shows are sick. There's a circusla there.
- 21:29Speaker 2: But all those theaters are built specifically for those the acts.
- 21:36Speaker 4: So you know, some tiger magicians and so.
- 21:40Speaker 2: Let me ask you, if it turns out, hold on,
- 21:42Speaker 2: if it turns out that oh, which is this huge
- 21:45Speaker 2: water act as you know, it's incredible. Oh, you know
- 21:48Speaker 2: it's in water. They leave and they bring in slem
- 21:52Speaker 2: de own does she sing from a kayak on the water?
- 21:56Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 21:56Speaker 2: You're going to have to ask Mata. No, that was
- 22:01Speaker 2: a Celeine deandroke and and got that. It's okay, let's
- 22:06Speaker 2: move on. Very obscure. Now, that was several levels of stupidity.
- 22:09Speaker 2: Let's get out of here. KFI am six forty handle
- 22:13Speaker 2: here on a foody Friday. Ask candle anything Friday? Also
- 22:18Speaker 2: the day that our new currency now has President Trump's
- 22:22Speaker 2: name on it. So it's a big, big day. Okay,
- 22:26Speaker 2: more handle on the news, Amy Neil and me.
- 22:33Speaker 4: Okay, So transgender women that are athletes are going to
- 22:38Speaker 4: be excluded from the Olympics beginning with the twenty twenty
- 22:40Speaker 4: eight Los Angeles Games. This all comes down because the
- 22:44Speaker 4: International Olympic Committee implemented this new eligibility policy and they
- 22:49Speaker 4: did this yesterday. So what does that mean. It means
- 22:52Speaker 4: if you're going to be a part of women's competition,
- 22:56Speaker 4: you're going to have a one time mandatory genetics test.
- 23:00Speaker 4: This they look like, or this looks like or whatever.
- 23:02Speaker 4: So the IOC says the test requires screening through saliva,
- 23:06Speaker 4: a cheek swab, or a blood sample. Yes, so this.
- 23:11Speaker 2: Is a problem or looking for a problem, or however
- 23:16Speaker 2: they call that phrase a something for a problem. It's
- 23:20Speaker 2: it's it's no big deal. I mean, the numbers are minuscule.
- 23:24Speaker 4: You keep saying that, but it's obviously it's becoming a
- 23:28Speaker 4: political issue.
- 23:30Speaker 2: You know. For example, this story says that the last
- 23:33Speaker 2: time it happened twenty twenty one, there was a weightlifter
- 23:39Speaker 2: from New Zealand transgender and didn't win a medal. I mean,
- 23:43Speaker 2: it's literally we're talking about a handful of people. It's more,
- 23:48Speaker 2: it's absolutely a political statement, nothing more.
- 23:51Speaker 4: So do you wait, You wait till more and more
- 23:54Speaker 4: changes more people.
- 23:55Speaker 2: It's more until it becomes maybe you wait until it
- 23:58Speaker 2: becomes real that it becomes a real problem and it
- 24:02Speaker 2: doesn't get the attention that it does.
- 24:05Speaker 3: Yeah, you wait, uh wait till this becomes a problem.
- 24:13Speaker 3: There's a great white shark buzzing around in the waters
- 24:17Speaker 3: off of Orange County. An eight foot long great white
- 24:20Speaker 3: shark was spotted circling a surfer in West Newport Beach. Well,
- 24:28Speaker 3: he's just a baby.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Shark.
- 24:28Speaker 3: He's only eight.
- 24:29Speaker 2: I'm not gonna eat anybody. Stay out of the water,
- 24:32Speaker 2: stay off hiking trails.
- 24:34Speaker 3: So why are they doing this? Why don't they wait
- 24:36Speaker 3: until there's a problem.
- 24:38Speaker 5: Because you're right, because it's good news, you know. Okay,
- 24:43Speaker 5: they should wait until there's a problem. Waiting until a
- 24:45Speaker 5: great white fight of sharks starts eating people. That's when
- 24:48Speaker 5: you deal with it.
- 24:49Speaker 3: Okay, Well, anyway, the beaches are closed until further notice.
- 24:53Speaker 4: Yeah, oh this just in trans great white sharks h
- 24:58Speaker 4: arc not allowed to fight anybody on the beaches. SpaceX,
- 25:03Speaker 4: look at this jump on this.
- 25:06Speaker 2: So uh.
- 25:07Speaker 4: There was a company or is a company called Saudi
- 25:10Speaker 4: r Ramco A Ramco A Ramco. So seven years ago
- 25:14Speaker 4: they set a record that was twenty nine point four
- 25:19Speaker 4: billion with an IPO and now SpaceX if they proceed
- 25:24Speaker 4: with their anticipated stock market launch, the company intends to
- 25:28Speaker 4: raise a maximum of seventy five billion, which would dwarf
- 25:33Speaker 4: that twenty nine point four billion record that was already set.
- 25:36Speaker 2: But more than that, what it does is set a
- 25:39Speaker 2: valuation of the company when you sell stock.
- 25:43Speaker 4: To level I watched shirt tank.
- 25:45Speaker 2: Yeah, the valuation is one point seventy five trillion. Dollars.
- 25:51Speaker 2: That makes a valuation of SpaceX I you know, I mean,
- 25:54Speaker 2: is it possible? Yeah? Yeah, I don't get it. You
- 25:59Speaker 2: skuy's the limit? Yeah, that literally is the sky is
- 26:02Speaker 2: the limit. Definitely, ICE.
- 26:08Speaker 3: Is getting inmates. Local immigrant rights organizers and Supervisor Vicente
- 26:14Speaker 3: Sarmiento have expressed anger and frustration over Sheriff Don barnes
- 26:20Speaker 3: continued cooperation with federal agents. Last year, the Sheriff's Department
- 26:24Speaker 3: in Orange County, which operates jails, screened eight hundred and
- 26:27Speaker 3: twenty four inmates with immigration holds, referred three hundred and
- 26:31Speaker 3: twenty three of them to ICE. Of those, two seventy
- 26:34Speaker 3: one were transferred to ICE custody after they completed their
- 26:36Speaker 3: jail time in twenty twenty four, and immigration advocates are
- 26:41Speaker 3: calling on supervisors and Sheriff Barnes to end all ICE transfers.
- 26:47Speaker 2: Why but why, I'm going to ask you for those
- 26:50Speaker 2: people that are against transferring immigration to immigration people that
- 26:56Speaker 2: are led out of prison, what if for their felons,
- 27:00Speaker 2: because it's still in it.
- 27:02Speaker 4: That's the whole point.
- 27:03Speaker 2: Yeah, Dode, I mean, I think even those who say
- 27:06Speaker 2: the sanctuary sanctuary jails, that you're not going to turn
- 27:09Speaker 2: over to Ice. Not going to call the customers enforcement folks.
- 27:13Speaker 2: How about felonies? Felons? Should they be turned over?
- 27:17Speaker 4: Does it matter? Doesn't matter, Sanctuary city.
- 27:21Speaker 2: Sanctuary jails, stupid. All right, We're done, guys. That's it
- 27:27Speaker 2: coming up. Well, it looks like the lines at the
- 27:31Speaker 2: airport may actually drop. Wow. And I'll tell you why
- 27:35Speaker 2: and how. And everybody who flies is thrilled with this one.
- 27:40Speaker 2: This is KFI A M six.
