- 0:13Hello you guys. Welcome back to another episode of the Hawkgirl Energy Podcast.
- 0:17I'm your host, Kaylee, and this is your weekly reminder that it's a
- 0:20new day, a new week, a new mindset, and another day for
- 0:23you to become the hawk grow energy you want to attract. Hello you guys,
- 0:28Happy Tuesday. I am officially back home from Italy. Can finally tell
- 0:35you guys that we are getting married in Italy. Finally. I'm so excited
- 0:39to share the news with you guys. I am definitely happy to be home.
- 0:44I think it's been a very crazy past few weeks. As you guys
- 0:49know, I had my engagement party the second week of September, and then
- 0:53literally two days after our engagement party, we flew to Italy and we were
- 0:56in Italy for the past two weeks. So I am definitely exhausted, and
- 1:02if you guys can tell my voice, I am a little sick. Unfortunately.
- 1:04I think it's finally hitting me after just being on the go for like,
- 1:11honestly the whole month of September. Realistically, because when you're planning any
- 1:15kind of event, when it's related to bridal stuff or an event for your
- 1:19birthday or anything like that I feel like things are always very stressful, and
- 1:23especially anything related to like bride stuff. If you guys have ever been a
- 1:27bride or you're currently a bride to be, you guys know that planning any
- 1:32kind of event, especially for weddings and all that can be extremely stressful in
- 1:36a lot of work. And I think it's just finally hitting me now where
- 1:40it's like you need to relax and you need to just jill for a bit.
- 1:44So I'm, yeah, trying to stay low for the next two days,
- 1:48just until I feel one hundred percent. But yeah, so that's that.
- 1:53I'm officially home, and I want to give you guys a bit of
- 1:56a recap on our trip, just because why not tell you guys a little
- 2:00inside scoop of everything that went down. So essentially, we flew from Montreal
- 2:07to Milan, so that was our main location for the beginning of the trip,
- 2:14and then from Milan we rented a car and we drove to Verona.
- 2:17So Verona was the first spot for us to go seem sorry a wedding venue,
- 2:22and it was really really beautiful. I think the reason why I had
- 2:24such a hard time, like being obsessed with it was the weather that day
- 2:30it was downpouring and it was super gloomy and all that. So I think
- 2:35that played a factor because obviously when it's not bright and sunny out, I
- 2:38feel like it's kind of hard to like picture your wedding there, if that
- 2:43makes sense. So I did like it. It is beautiful, but I
- 2:46just think the weather played an impact in our visit. So I'm china not
- 2:50make that part of our decision when we're picking these venues out, is like,
- 2:53don't look at the weather, just look at the space. Imagine your
- 2:57wedding there and all that. So yeah, Brona was the first spot,
- 3:00and then we were able to have a day of doing tourist things in Brona.
- 3:05So if you guys didn't know, Romeo and Juliet's actually based in Brona.
- 3:07So we went to go see the balcony. What else did we do,
- 3:13I don't know, just like a bunch of little tourist things. So
- 3:15then the day after that we drove to Tescany to go see our next wedding
- 3:21venue. So it was four hours there, four hours back, so was
- 3:23in total it was an eight hour trip. It was literally the longest day
- 3:27and it was so disappointing, guys, Like we were not happy with the
- 3:32venue at all, and I think that just made us like so upset driving
- 3:38all that way for something that we were just so disappointed to see. It
- 3:42was so misleading on Instagram and so misleading on their website. Like that's the
- 3:46scary thing about these venues is that you like it's sometimes you can make decisions
- 3:53off social media, but sometimes you can't, Like sometimes you would want to
- 3:55go see the things in person. And this venue that we saw in Tescany
- 4:00was just nothing what we pictured at all. And yeah, so it definitely
- 4:02was not worth our drive there, which sucked. But we went to Lake
- 4:08Como as well, and we also hit up Rome. And I'm going to
- 4:11give you guys a backstory on Rome and what happened there because that was not
- 4:15part of our trip at all, but I'll get into it. But yeah,
- 4:18we ended up going to Lake Como after Verona, So we ended up
- 4:24where did we go? I think we drove the car back to Milan from
- 4:27Verona and then we took oh no, sorry, we drove the car Verona
- 4:33to Milan and we stayed in Milan for the weekend. Sorry, So we
- 4:35were in Milan for the weekend. Again, we didn't know venue touring at
- 4:39all. We just were tourists in Milan, which was super fun. So
- 4:42we went to the church, we went to the Gallery, which is like
- 4:46the big shopping area, like, we did so much there, and then
- 4:49we left on the Monday from Milan to lake Como, so we drove another
- 4:57car there. So lake Como was absolute beautiful, Like I have no words
- 5:00for that place. I was completely speechless. Everything about it is just absolutely
- 5:05beautiful. The wedding gun us were sending as well. However, I will
- 5:09say I think there's one thing that's kind of pushing me away from the venues
- 5:14in lake Como is that I feel like everybody's getting married there, like not
- 5:17everybody, like not saying everybody, Like everybody who is planning a wedding in
- 5:21Italy is getting married in lake Como like nowhere else in Italy. So I
- 5:27just have this feeling where I'm like, I don't know if I want to
- 5:29do what everybody else is doing, who is planning to get married in Italy,
- 5:32Like I kind of want to be different because I feel like everyone just
- 5:35assumes, okay, well, if you're going to Italy, you're realistically getting
- 5:38married in Lake Como, you know what I mean. So I don't know.
- 5:40I'm not trying to make that part of my decision. But at the
- 5:44same time, I kind of want to be unique and different. But at
- 5:46the end of the day, it is your wedding day. You want it
- 5:47to be special. You want to make sure it's everything you dreamed of,
- 5:50blah blah blah. Right, so we shall see. But there was a
- 5:54lot of rules that we were not anticipating when we got there. So in
- 6:00certain areas of like home where they have certain like rules and regulations that you
- 6:03cannot do, obviously, and one of them was you cannot play music outside
- 6:09pass eight pm. Like, if I'm paying all this money for my wedding
- 6:14and you're telling me by eight pm that is my curfew, I have to
- 6:16go inside and continue the party inside, and then you have to stop the
- 6:19music at a hard eleven pm. Like to me, that's not worth it
- 6:23at all. Like, if I'm paying all this money, I want to
- 6:25be able to party at least till like midnight outside, or at least till
- 6:29eleven pm, you know what I mean. Like, typical weddings are eleven
- 6:31PM. Like here in Ottawa and a lot of other locations in like Verona
- 6:35and the other ones we saw in Tesk and me all that it was like
- 6:40eleven pm. Like eleven pm to me is very realistic, but eight pm
- 6:43just seemed very early to me. And it's just because obviously there's like residential
- 6:48homes in the area and all that. So that was super disappointing because I
- 6:53really did love one of them, and I know I loved two of them.
- 6:57Two of them had the same policy where you can't play music out side
- 7:00past eight pm. And don't get me wrong, I have nothing like I
- 7:02have nothing against going inside at eight pm to continue dancing and all that,
- 7:06but some of the plan be options of being inside wasn't the greatest, Like
- 7:13it wasn't that nice. One of them was a full on cave, like
- 7:15a full on rave cave, like kind of sounds fun, but at the
- 7:18same time, like at eight pm, I'm not going to be down for
- 7:20a rave cave. If you want to put me in there at eleven pm,
- 7:24sure, I'll probably want to dance the night away in a cave,
- 7:27but not at a PM, and also not on your wedding, like I
- 7:29don't want to be in a cave on my wedding day. So that was
- 7:31kind of disappointing about some of the Lake Como locations that we went to,
- 7:35But again, there was another one that we really really loved that I'm not
- 7:38going to totally remove from our list. But yeah, all in all,
- 7:43like you need to go to Lake Como just to go visit. It is
- 7:46absolutely spectacular the lake, Like the color of the lake is like this beautiful
- 7:50blue color. The mountains are just insane. Yeah, and some of you
- 7:55guys actually live there. I could not believe how many of you lived in
- 7:59the Lake Como area and how many guys were messaging me and all that,
- 8:01so that was really cool to see. And just other parts of Italy like
- 8:05being in Verona, being in Rome, like Milan, Like every time I
- 8:07was in a new city, you guys would message me saying, oh my
- 8:11goodness, I live here, like you should do this or that. Like
- 8:13you guys gave me so many recommendations and all that, so I appreciate that
- 8:16so much. And yeah, I didn't realize how many of you were actually
- 8:20based in Italy, so that was super cool. But anyways, so I'm
- 8:24just gonna give you a bit of a recap in terms of the hiccup that
- 8:26happened in our trip. So basically, we were supposed to fly home from
- 8:30Milan to Montreal and we got a notification on our phones the day before we
- 8:39left, when we were in Lake Homo saying that our flight was canceled.
- 8:43So Zach and I were like, okay, Like we were kind of like,
- 8:46okay, we're not mad about it, like we'll extend a trip,
- 8:48that's fine. But at the same time, we're like, we need a
- 8:50flight home. So we call the airline and they said, yeah, we
- 8:54could fly you home from Milan in two days, but it's going to be
- 8:58a nineteen hour travel day. When Zach and I paid for a direct flight,
- 9:01so I was all up sex, I'm like, I don't want to,
- 9:05you know, op for this nineteen hour travel day when we paid extra
- 9:09money to get a direct flight home. So they said the only direct flight
- 9:11home that's closest to you would be Rome and again it would be two days
- 9:16later. So Zach and I were like, friget, let's go to Rome.
- 9:18I've already been to Rome. I love Rome, but Zach has never
- 9:20been. So Zach was like, oh, my god, yeah, let's
- 9:22do it. So we changed your flights at no costs whatever. We then
- 9:28realize that Ryder Cup is the same weekend of the weekend that we're going on.
- 9:33And if you guys don't know what Ryder Cup is, ask your husband,
- 9:37ask your boyfriend, ask your brother, ask your dad. I'm sure
- 9:39they know what it is. It's essentially this huge golf tournament for Americans and
- 9:43European golf players. And Zach was fully on board. He's like, Okay,
- 9:48let's find tickets, let's go to it. All this I'm like,
- 9:50oh my goodness, I really don't want to go to this, but I
- 9:52will do it for him, obviously, But because we were literally leaving so
- 9:56last minute, the tickets were already sold out. But the reason why I'm
- 10:00bringing this into the equation is that there was no available hotels. Like I'm
- 10:05talking, not one single hotel was available, not a single airbnb. Every
- 10:09hotel that was available, the average price was around two thousand euros a night,
- 10:15which is absurd, especially in Canadian conversion dollars, like that's easily twenty
- 10:18eight hundred dollars Canadian a night, which is just to me. I'm like,
- 10:22I am not paying that for this last minute trip that we're doing,
- 10:26right, So we felt super disappointed. We didn't know what to do.
- 10:28We were like, do we call Air Canada back and see if we can
- 10:31fly out of a different city like Paris or something like that. So anyways,
- 10:35we basically kept refreshing Expedia, which is where you could get hotels,
- 10:39like for probably six hours, even at dinner We're supposed to have a nice
- 10:43romantic dinner in lake Home when we're like refreshing our pages just to see if
- 10:48we can find a hotel because we were literally leaving the next day to go
- 10:50to Rome. So we ended up finding a hotel. It was super expensive
- 10:54still, but you know what, we didn't care at that point where like,
- 10:56you know what, we need something. It was more of a realistic
- 10:58price point that we felt was fine to pay. And you know what,
- 11:01we made the best out of the shitty situation in terms of just the stress
- 11:07of like trying to rebook our flights home and trying to find a hotel and
- 11:09all that, and we had the best time in Rome. We literally were
- 11:13just tourists doing all these fun things. We had no wedding venues that we
- 11:16really saw We saw one in Rome last minutely just because we thought why not.
- 11:22It was one of the ones I originally sent in when I was first
- 11:24looking for our wedding venues, so it was super beautiful. But yeah,
- 11:30it was a super fun last minute thing that we were not expecting to do
- 11:33at all, And like I said, we made the most out of the
- 11:35shitty situation and had super fun on our trips. So that's what we did.
- 11:39We looked at a total of seven venues while we were in Italy.
- 11:43They were all so beautiful. We were able to meet some of our planners
- 11:46as well, which was super nice. And yeah, now that we're home,
- 11:50we're going to be meeting with them over Zoom, hopefully on Thursday,
- 11:54just to go over all the venues that we went to go see. So
- 11:58that's a little update on our side for wedding planning and all that. But
- 12:01I'm super excited to get more into wedding content, hopefully within these next few
- 12:05months. The goal is to book a date for next summer or September October
- 12:11area, so I will keep you guys posted on when we secure a date.
- 12:15But yeah, that's kind of what happened these past few weeks. And
- 12:18so now that I'm home and I'm feeling a little sick, but I'm still
- 12:24wanting to get back into my healthy routine and just get back into things,
- 12:30especially going into a new month of being in October. I'm just really motivated
- 12:33to really start this new month off fresh. I thought it'd be a good
- 12:37opportunity to make this episode just about getting back on track. So I'm going
- 12:43to share with you guys how I plan to get back on track this month
- 12:46and everything I'm doing just to feel my best self. So, as I
- 12:50said, September was obviously extremely busy month for me, I honestly haven't had
- 12:54a good workout routine now for probably a month. Like I've been probably working
- 13:00out maybe once a week for the past three weeks. I was able to
- 13:03get one workout in on our trip Storry two workouts on our trip, I
- 13:07did one once a week, and then I came home, I did a
- 13:11workout, and then the next day I woke up and I started to feel
- 13:13sick. So I have not been working out these past few days just because,
- 13:18as I said, I'm sick and I don't want to force my body
- 13:22to do a workout when i'm not feeling one hundred percent because obviously I'm not
- 13:26going to get better if I don't relax and I don't, you know,
- 13:30just calm my body down. So I'm trying to give myself a bit of
- 13:33a break. But I'm going to share some things that I've already done right
- 13:35now so far since I've been home, and things that I am planning to
- 13:39do these next few days, hopefully as I started to feel a bit better
- 13:43in terms of a workout routine and all that. The guess. So I'm
- 13:46gonna share with you guys, just some tips on how I'm going to get
- 13:48back on track this month. Okay, So the first thing you're going to
- 13:52do after a trip, this for me is a non negotiable every single time
- 13:56I come home, and that is unpack as soon as you can. We
- 14:00got home Sunday and Monday morning is when I unpacked, just because Sunday night
- 14:05I wasn't going to do it like I was exhausted from a travel day.
- 14:07So if you can at least do it the following day after your travels,
- 14:11that is going to make you feel so so much better at being home.
- 14:13It's also going to spike some motivation right there. To maybe get some cleaning
- 14:18done around your house. Yeah, I don't know. I just feel like
- 14:20as soon as I unpack, I get my motivation back to do other things
- 14:24that I have to get done. And I feel like, if you just
- 14:28leave your suitcase in your bedroom for the week, you're going to feel like
- 14:31you're in a rut and you're gonna feel like there's something up and realisticates because
- 14:35you haven't unpacked, and you haven't like organized your ship, and you haven't
- 14:37gotten your ship together. Like that's just the reality. So I personally find
- 14:41literally completely unpacking your suit case, putting all your toilet trees back, putting
- 14:46all your stuff that's dirty in the laundry, all that it will feel so
- 14:50so good and it will literally boost your mood so much. So that was
- 14:54the first thing that Zach and I boat that I made Zach do it too,
- 14:56because I knew he wasn't going to do it, so I said,
- 14:58if I'm doing you're doing it. So he unpacked as well, he organized
- 15:03all the clothes that he had to wash as well, so I was so
- 15:05proud of him. But yeah, that's definitely something you need to do.
- 15:07I feel like as soon as you get home, because you're definitely not going
- 15:11to want to do it if you keep dreading it and just leaving it in
- 15:15the corner of your room for a week. So make this your first priority
- 15:18when you get home. The next thing you're gonna do is you're going to
- 15:20clean out your fridge and you're going to re stalk it. The first thing
- 15:24we did after unpacking is we went through our fridge and we threw out everything
- 15:28that went bad. And it's almost like a little reset as well. Right,
- 15:31You're able to just completely reset your fridge and figure out all the things
- 15:35you need, all the new things you want, all that. So one
- 15:39thing I did is I wrote out a bunch of healthy dinner recipes that I
- 15:43wanted to have for the week. Obviously, Zach and I were eating a
- 15:48lot of pasta and pizza while we were in Italy, and it was amazing.
- 15:52Everything about it was so good, all the wine, all the appril
- 15:56sprits like I bully treated myself literally had gelato every single night. But coming
- 16:00home, I really want to obviously get back into a healthy eating routine because
- 16:04I know when I'm eating healthy, that's when I feel my best. So
- 16:08I wrote down a bunch of recipes that I want to have this week,
- 16:12a lot of simple ones, a lot of ones that just we have all
- 16:15the time. And one thing I've been craving since I've been home is soup,
- 16:21because obviously we're in fall, but in Italy it was not fall.
- 16:25It was not giving fall at all. It was giving literally summer. The
- 16:27weather was beautiful every single day, except when we were in Verona it was
- 16:32raining a bit, but it was so hot. I did not pack very
- 16:37well at all. I will say that I packed a little cardigans, a
- 16:41lot of like Maxi skirts all that, and I was so hot, Like
- 16:45I was not prepared at all for that kind of weather. And then I
- 16:48came home and it's crisp mornings here. The leaves on the trees have completely
- 16:52changed, the leaves around the ground, like it's totally giving fall. And
- 16:56I'm like, I need to switch my mindset back to fall mode because I'm
- 17:00clearly in summer mode being in Italy. But now that I'm home, I
- 17:03am just craving soup. I'm excited to get back into my fall mood.
- 17:07But yeah, definitely soups is what I've been craving. So we have tomato
- 17:11soup on the list this week, as well as chicken noodle soup, so
- 17:15I'll make sure to try and post those on TikTok and I'll share the recipe.
- 17:18But yeah, I've been craving soup so much since I've been home,
- 17:22so that was one thing I had to make sure I got all the ingredients
- 17:25for at the grocery store. So yeah, Zach and I we went to
- 17:26the grocery store. We picked up all the groceries that we needed for the
- 17:30week and just stocked up on all the things that went bad in the fridge
- 17:33and all that through everything out and it felt really really good just to reset
- 17:37the fridge and get new groceries and all that and get back into our healthy
- 17:41eating routine. So then after planning out your fridge, the next thing I
- 17:45always like to do is I like to plan out my weekly schedule. You
- 17:49guys know, I'm a big planner when it comes to writing things out and
- 17:52just knowing everything that I have to get done for work for the week,
- 17:56workout schedule, all that. So I recently actually just out a new planner,
- 18:00which made it even more motivating to write some stuff in it. But
- 18:03I wrote out all my content that I have to get done this week for
- 18:07work, all the ads I have to film, all the editing I have
- 18:11to get done, and then I wrote out everything that I personally have to
- 18:15get done for the week for myself, and then obviously just putting in days
- 18:19that I want to prioritize time for myself and get a workout in and just
- 18:26yeah, sweat out everything that I ate in Italy. I also love to
- 18:30schedule out my workout routines based off of like cardio days, walking days,
- 18:36you know, low impact workouts all that. So that's how I like to
- 18:40break down my workout schedule, which I'm going to get into the next point,
- 18:42which is getting back into a workout routine. I personally always like to
- 18:48start easy, meaning I don't like to jump into a super hard workout.
- 18:52I will usually just stick to a twenty minute body weight workout or a light
- 18:56weighted workout. Body weight just means no work like dumbbells, just strictly your
- 19:03body weight or as I said, I was just using like lightweight dumbbells.
- 19:07So that's tificitely what I do. I usually start super easy. I just
- 19:10do a twenty minute workout, maybe a fifteen minute workout. I don't want
- 19:14to push my body too much or else I'm going to potentially hurt myself risk
- 19:18of injury, you know what I means. So I try and do a
- 19:22super easy schedule for the first week. Specifically, I might just do maybe
- 19:26three days a week instead of my typical five days a week. One thing
- 19:30that I also love, as you guys know, is spinning. So I
- 19:33love doing a cardio class probably twice a week, and I am probably going
- 19:37to attempt my first spin class on Thursday or Friday, and I think it's
- 19:44going to be the hardest thing I will ever do because I have not done
- 19:48a spin class in almost a month, and I think my cardio is just
- 19:52going to Yeah, I don't know. I just think it's going to be
- 19:56the most difficult class to do. I'm excited for it, to be honest,
- 19:59but at the same time, I know I'm gonna like, it's gonna
- 20:02feel so good after doing it, but I'm gonna hate the first like ten
- 20:04minutes, gonna be like I'm literally dying, like why did I do this
- 20:07to myself? But after the fact, it's gonna feel so good. And
- 20:10it's literally just the first class. It's always the toughest, right the first
- 20:12class. Getting back into it is always the hardest, and then once I
- 20:17get to my second spin class, it will be no problem. So yeah,
- 20:21stay tuned for that. I'm going to film it for TikTok just because
- 20:22I think it'll be funny to see how difficult it actually will be. But
- 20:27yeah, not doing cardio for a month is definitely going to be hard,
- 20:32but I'm very excited to get that good sweating. There's no better feeling than
- 20:37the sweat you get from a spin class. You guys need to book a
- 20:41spin class. I'm telling you right now. If you guys are from Ottawa,
- 20:44I have a discount code with Spinco. It's Kaylee fifteen. It gives
- 20:47you guys fifteen percent off your Spinco class I think up to five classes.
- 20:52So if you guys want to try that out, my code is Kaylee fifteen.
- 20:56I just thought I would highlight that just because you guys know how much
- 20:57I love spinning. But yeah, it's gonna be difficult, but I'm definitely
- 21:02excited to get back into it. Okay, another thing I like to do
- 21:04is get back into my supplements. I find it super hard to stay on
- 21:10track with taking my vitamins, taking my collagen all that. It's not something
- 21:15I typically pack either. I don't bring my vitamins or my collagen with me.
- 21:18However, what I do bring with me is my electrolytes and my ag
- 21:23one, which you guys know I talk about ag one all the time.
- 21:26It's my green supplement that I take every single morning. It has a prebiotic
- 21:32as a probiotic, and what I love about it is that it has travel
- 21:34packs, so I was able to take I think I took ten travel packs
- 21:40with me on my trip, and I think I used eight of them,
- 21:41so I almost had one every single day. And I personally just love the
- 21:45way it makes me feel, and I just thought it was super beneficial to
- 21:48bring on this trip, especially because obviously I'm eating foods that I don't typically
- 21:52eat. I am not a dairy girl, and I had dairy every single
- 21:56day just because ordering a cappuccino, ordering pizza all that. Obviously it's all
- 22:00dairy foods. And the first few days my stomach was feeling a little out
- 22:06of whack, but it did start to get better. I think just from
- 22:10getting used to consuming it, I can consume dairy it's just personally, like
- 22:14my own choice. I prefer to have lactose free just personally because it makes
- 22:18me feel better. So definitely was a bit of adjustment the first few days,
- 22:22but I definitely felt better after just consuming it for the past few days
- 22:26in the beginning of the trip. But I did take athletic greens to help
- 22:30with bloating as well, and I definitely found that it made a really big
- 22:33difference as well. So that was something that I brought on my trip that
- 22:36was super beneficial and easy to bring. And then my electrolytes. I personally
- 22:41love taking those. I use the brand Organica. They have this lemonade flavored
- 22:45which is so good, and I would say after lunch, Zach and I
- 22:49would just put it in our water bottle and we would drink it, just
- 22:52because we were really bad at staying hydrated this trip. And I'm going to
- 22:56talk about what I'm doing this week to help with getting back contract with my
- 23:00water intake. But we were not the greatest unfortunately, so we really needed
- 23:04the electrolytes just to obviously help with our hydration and just help with our energy
- 23:10levels as well. I felt like our energy wasn't that great just because we
- 23:15were walking around so much and the heat and just obviously being so go go
- 23:18in the city. Like this trip was not a relaxing trip at all,
- 23:23just because obviously we were going to see wedding venues we were walking around all
- 23:27day. And also just a trip in Italy in general, or just a
- 23:30trip in Europe, you want to see the tourist attractions and all that.
- 23:33You're not just sitting on a beach doing nothing right, So it's definitely a
- 23:37different type of vacation, but I do love like doing those different things,
- 23:41like those are my favorite types of trips. It's just we were getting tired
- 23:45pretty easily, so the electrolytes were super handy to have. So those are
- 23:48the two different types of supplements that we brought on our trip. So two
- 23:52things that I'm going to be getting back into is my vitamin intake as well
- 23:56as my collagen supplement. I have a drawer in my kitchen that's dedicated to
- 24:02all my supplements. So personally, for me, how I find it easy
- 24:04for me to get back into taking my supplements is just having it all in
- 24:08one spot. That way, it's super easy for me just to grab everything
- 24:11I need for the morning and take I feel like it was all buried in
- 24:15my pantry. I would almost forget where it is, and I just find
- 24:19having it in one spot and knowing where it is and having it all organized
- 24:22and all that makes it more motivating to get back into it, if that
- 24:26makes sense. So this next one is staying hydrated. You guys know,
- 24:30as I just said, I sucked at drinking water on the trip. I'm
- 24:34not gonna lie. We just weren't very good at it. We would buy
- 24:37a water bottle every single morning, but it was just like a typical water
- 24:41bottle size, and then as soon as we would finish it, sometimes it
- 24:44would be hard to find water fountains. We would always ask for a glass
- 24:48of water at lunch and dinner, but you guys know, like it's a
- 24:49typical eight ounce glass, it's not a lot of water. And I'm pretty
- 24:52sure I consumed probably more Apperall than I did water. I'm not even getting
- 24:57the Apperall's there were so good, and Zach and I would usually get a
- 25:00bottle of white wine every single night as well, just because that's our favorite.
- 25:04So, you know, I was on vacation, I was having a
- 25:07time again. I was trying to focus on some healthy things that I could
- 25:11incorporate into my every day. But you know, obviously water was an important
- 25:18thing for me, but I just had a hard time getting it, to
- 25:22be honest, So we tried our best. We had electrolytes to help us,
- 25:25say hydrated and all that. But this week specifically, I'm definitely trying
- 25:27to get caught up on my water intake. So I have just been filling
- 25:33it my water bottle as much as I can, drinking as much as I
- 25:37can, and obviously now being a little sick as well, I'm trying to
- 25:40make drinking water a huge priority as well. So just trying to get back
- 25:45into it. The first week is always hard, I will say, the
- 25:48first week is always hard getting back into routine after being off for a few
- 25:52weeks. It's never easy. But I do find this second week is much
- 25:56easier. So just slowly getting back into things I think is really important.
- 26:00I think just not doing anything's not going to help at all. So as
- 26:03I said, like slowly incorporating workouts, slowly incorporating your water intake, all
- 26:10that, just trying to incorporate these little things that will make you feel your
- 26:12best. I'm telling you right now, the second week will feel so much
- 26:17easier, so much better, and you'll feel so much more motivated. So
- 26:21that's what I'm personally doing this week, as my first week is just slowly
- 26:25trying to get back into things like my water intake. Okay, so the
- 26:29last one that I think is honestly super crucial and I need to take my
- 26:33own advice on this one is take some time off. I feel like it's
- 26:38so important just to take a few days, especially after vacation, just to
- 26:42relax and not book anything in your calendar, force yourself to relax and enjoy
- 26:47your time at home, reset, just catch upon sleep. I think sleep
- 26:52is a huge thing as well, especially with me with the time difference.
- 26:56I'm going back six hours right so in Europe right now, it would be
- 27:00close to dinner time and it's literally ten o'clock in the morning. So yeah,
- 27:07it just shows that you really need to catch up on your sleep,
- 27:11really force yourself to relax and just yeah, not have anything planned for the
- 27:15next few days because you just want to get back into your routine, being
- 27:19at home, resetting your space all that, because being on the go NonStop
- 27:25is obviously exhausting and that's what we were experiencing these past three weeks. And
- 27:30as I said, now I'm sick, right, so my body's telling me
- 27:33you need to relax, you need to reset, and just take the time
- 27:37off for the next few days and then eventually get back into it. So
- 27:41that's what I'm trying to do. I'm really trying to listen to my body,
- 27:44and I'm just trying not to be too strict on myself, but I'm
- 27:48really trying to enjoy the break, being at home, slowly trying to get
- 27:51back into things, incorporating my healthy habits that I usually do. I'm hoping
- 27:55to gradually get back into a workout tomorrow morning and again just try something super
- 28:00easy, like a twenty minute class, nothing crazy. So that's all the
- 28:04steps that I'm personally taking for these next few days and just being back at
- 28:10home. If you're someone who just got back from vacation, or if you're
- 28:12someone who hasn't had a routine for the past few weeks or the past few
- 28:18months, I feel like this episode could be super helpful for you to get
- 28:21back on track. And also, as I said, going into October,
- 28:25it's a new month, it should feel super motivating for you to really get
- 28:30back into these healthy habits that you want to do for yourself or get back
- 28:33into anything like that. So yeah, so I hope you guys enjoyed this
- 28:37episode. I am definitely going to take a lot of these tips for myself,
- 28:41and a lot of these tips I've already done for myself as well.
- 28:44But as I said, if this is something that you can do for yourself
- 28:47to get back into your routine, I highly highly recommend following these steps.
- 28:52But I love you guys all so so much. Thank you guys for listening
