- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
- 0:06rooted in scripture and relevant for today, March 7th.
- 0:10Hope in the hard places. Have you ever had a season where
- 0:13it felt like one thing went wrong after another?
- 0:16Drama at home, tension with friends, pressure from school or
- 0:21work. It's like you barely recover
- 0:23from one issue before the next one shows up.
- 0:25In those moments, it's easy to feel stuck, frustrated, maybe
- 0:29even hopeless. Proverbs Chapter 11 verse 29
- 0:33says whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind
- 0:37and the fool will be servant. To the wise of heart, that
- 0:40phrase inherit the wind is powerful.
- 0:44It paints a picture of chasing something and ending up with
- 0:46nothing. Foolish decisions, harsh words,
- 0:49selfish choices. They don't just affect us, they
- 0:52stir up chaos around us. And sometimes the hard places
- 0:56we're in are connected to choices, ours or others that
- 1:00created storms. But even in the middle of chaos,
- 1:04Psalm 27, verse 14 speaks directly to our hearts.
- 1:08Wait for the Lord. Be strong and let your heart
- 1:10take courage. Wait for the Lord.
- 1:13Waiting doesn't mean doing nothing.
- 1:16It means choosing trust when you don't see immediate change.
- 1:19It means holding on to hope when everything feels delayed.
- 1:23Waiting stretches your faith. It builds spiritual muscles you
- 1:27didn't know you had. And then we hear Job in chapter
- 1:3013, verse 15 say something remarkable.
- 1:34Though he slay me, I will hope in him, yet I will argue my ways
- 1:37to his face. Job wasn't pretending everything
- 1:40was fine. He was deeply wounded.
- 1:43He questioned, he wrestled, but he refused to let go of hope.
- 1:47He chose to trust God's character even when he couldn't
- 1:50understand God's actions. That's real faith.
- 1:54Not fake smiles, not pretending the pain isn't real.
- 1:57Real faith says God, this hurts. I don't get it, but I'm still
- 2:01holding on to you. Maybe your hard place right now
- 2:04feels overwhelming. Maybe you're waiting for
- 2:07healing, restoration, clarity, or peace.
- 2:10Instead of letting the pressure push you away from God, let it
- 2:13pull you closer. Let waiting become a space where
- 2:16your heart grows stronger, not weaker.
- 2:19And as you wait, pay attention to your choices.
- 2:22Are they building peace or stirring chaos?
- 2:25Are they bringing life to your relationships or trouble?
- 2:28Wisdom plants seeds of hope. Foolishness scatters seeds of
- 2:31confusion. Even in the hardest seasons,
- 2:34hope is possible. Not because your situation is
- 2:37easy, but because your God is faithful.
- 2:40He sees you in the waiting, He strengthens your heart in the
- 2:43struggle, and He promises that hope anchored in Him will not be
- 2:47wasted. Let's pray.
- 2:49Heavenly Father, thank you for being my hope in hard places
- 2:53when life feels overwhelming and confusing, help me to wait on
- 2:57you with courage. Strengthen my heart when I feel
- 2:59weak. Teach me to make wise choices
- 3:02that bring peace instead of chaos.
- 3:05And like Job, help me to be honest with you while still
- 3:07holding on to hope in Jesus name, Amen.
- 3:12What if the most important question in your life deserves
- 3:14more than a shallow answer? Does God Exist is a powerful,
- 3:18thought provoking series that explores reality, meaning, and
- 3:21truth through reason, evidence, human experience, and scripture
- 3:26without preaching pressure or assumptions.
- 3:29Book 1, Something from Nothing, confronts the mystery of
- 3:32existence itself and asks why anything exists at all.
- 3:35Book 2, The Cause behind the Cosmos, examines the origin of
- 3:39the universe and whether it points beyond itself.
- 3:42Book 3, Design or Accident, wrestles with order and
- 3:45complexity. Are they products of chance or
- 3:47intelligence? Book 4, The Moral Signature,
- 3:50explores why objective right and wrong may require a source
- 3:54beyond human opinion. Book 5, The God We Cannot
- 3:57Escape, considers conscience, longing, and humanity's
- 4:00persistent awareness of God. Book 6, From Reason to
- 4:03Revelation, asks whether the God who exists would also speak.
- 4:07And Book 7, Denying God, examines the internal tensions
- 4:11of unbelief and the deeper implications of rejecting the
- 4:13divine. Written in clear, accessible
- 4:16language for seekers, skeptics, students, and curious minds,
- 4:20this series invites honest reflection and careful thinking.

- 4:37Proverbs Chapter 11, verse 29 World English Bible He who
- 4:42troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.
- 4:45The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
- 4:47Psalm chapter 27 world English Bible by David Yahweh is my
- 4:52light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?
- 4:55Yahweh is the strength of my life.
- 4:58Of whom shall I be afraid? When evil doers came at me to
- 5:00eat up my flesh? Even my adversaries and my foes,
- 5:03they stumbled and fell. Though an army should encamp
- 5:06against me, my heart shall not fear.
- 5:09Though war should rise against me, even then I will be
- 5:11confident. One thing I have asked of Yahweh
- 5:14that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all
- 5:17the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty and to inquire
- 5:21in His temple. For in the day of trouble He
- 5:23will keep me secretly in His pavilion, in the secret place of
- 5:27His Tabernacle. He will hide me.
- 5:29He will lift me up on a rock. Now my head will be lifted up
- 5:32above my enemies. Around me I will offer
- 5:35sacrifices of joy. In His tent I will sing yes, I
- 5:38will sing praises to Yahweh. Hear Yahweh, when I cry with my
- 5:42voice, have mercy also on me and answer me.
- 5:45When you said seek my face, my heart said to you, I will seek
- 5:48your face. Yahweh, don't hide your face
- 5:51from me. Don't put your servant away in
- 5:53anger. You have been my help, don't
- 5:55abandoned me neither forsake me. God of my salvation, when my
- 5:58father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.
- 6:02Teach me your way Yahweh, lead me in a straight path because of
- 6:05my enemies. Don't deliver me over to the
- 6:08desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up
- 6:11against me such as breathe out cruelty.
- 6:14I am still confident of this. I will see the goodness of
- 6:17Yahweh in the land of the living.
- 6:18Wait for Yahweh, be strong and let your heart take courage.
- 6:22Yes, wait for Yahweh. Job Chapters 13 to 14 World
- 6:26English Bible Behold, my eye has seen all this.
- 6:30My ear has heard and understood it.
- 6:32What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.
- 6:35Surely I would speak to the Almighty.
- 6:37I desire to reason with God. But you are forgers of lies.
- 6:41You are all physicians of no value.
- 6:43Oh, that you would be completely silent.
- 6:45Then you would be wise. Hear now my reasoning.
- 6:48Listen to the pleadings of my lips.
- 6:50Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for
- 6:53Him? Will you show partiality to Him?
- 6:56Will you contend for God? Is it good that he should search
- 6:59you out? Or, as one deceives a man, will
- 7:01you deceive him? He will surely reprove you if
- 7:04you secretly show partiality. Won't His Majesty make you
- 7:07afraid, and his dread fall on you?
- 7:09Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes.
- 7:12Your defenses are defenses of clay.
- 7:14Be silent. Leave me alone that I may speak.
- 7:17Let come on me. What will?
- 7:19Why should I take my flesh and my teeth and put my life in my
- 7:21hand? Behold, he will kill me.
- 7:24I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my
- 7:26ways before him. This also will be my salvation,
- 7:30that a godless man will not come before him.
- 7:32Listen carefully to my speech. Let my declaration be in your
- 7:36ears. See now I have set my cause in
- 7:39order. I know that I am righteous.
- 7:41Who is he who will contend with me?
- 7:43For then would I hold my peace and give up the Spirit.
- 7:46Only don't do two things to me. Then I will not hide myself from
- 7:49your face. Withdraw your hand far from me,
- 7:52and don't let your terror make me afraid.
- 7:54Then call and I will answer, or let me speak and you answer me.
- 7:58How many are my iniquities and sins?
- 8:00Make me know my disobedience and my sin.
- 8:03Why do you hide your face and consider me your enemy?
- 8:05Will you harass A driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
- 8:09For you write bitter things against me and make me inherit
- 8:12the iniquities of my youth. You also put my feet in the
- 8:15stalks and mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of
- 8:18my feet, though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a
- 8:21garment that is moth eat. Man who is born of a woman is a
- 8:25few days and full of trouble. He grows up like a flower and is
- 8:28cut down. He also flees like a shadow and
- 8:31doesn't continue. Do you open your eyes on such a
- 8:34one and bring me into judgement with you?
- 8:36Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?
- 8:39Not one seeing, his days are determined.
- 8:42The number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his
- 8:44bounds that he can't pass. Look away from him, that he may
- 8:48rest until he accomplishes as a hireling his day.
- 8:52For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will
- 8:55sprout again, that the tender branch of it will not cease.
- 8:58Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stock dies in the
- 9:01ground, yet through the scent of water it will bud and sprout
- 9:04boughs like a plant. But man dies and is laid low.
- 9:08Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
- 9:11As the waters fail from the sea and the river wastes and dries
- 9:14up, so man lies down and doesn't rise until the heavens are no
- 9:18more. They will not awake nor be
- 9:20roused out of their sleep. Oh, that you would hide me in
- 9:23she all. That you would keep me secret
- 9:25until your wrath is passed. That you would appoint me a set
- 9:27time and Remember Me. If a man dies, will he live
- 9:31again? I would wait all the days of my
- 9:33warfare until my release should come.
- 9:35You would call and I would answer you.
- 9:37You would have a desire for the work of your hands.
- 9:40But now you count my steps. Don't you watch over my sin.
- 9:43My disobedience is sealed up in a bag.
- 9:46You fasten up my iniquity, but the mountain falling comes to
- 9:49nothing. The rock is removed out of its
- 9:51place. The waters where the stones, the
- 9:54torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth.
- 9:56So you destroy the hope of man. You forever prevail against him,
- 10:00and he departs. You change his face and send him
- 10:03away. His sons come to honor and he
- 10:05doesn't know it. They are brought low, but he
- 10:08doesn't perceive it of them. But his flesh on him has pain,
- 10:11and his soul within him mourns. Thanks for joining us on Bible
