Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in scripture and relevant for today, March 7th.
• 0:10
Hope in the hard places. Have you ever had a season where
• 0:13
it felt like one thing went wrong after another?
• 0:16
Drama at home, tension with friends, pressure from school or
• 0:21
work. It's like you barely recover
• 0:23
from one issue before the next one shows up.
• 0:25
In those moments, it's easy to feel stuck, frustrated, maybe
• 0:29
even hopeless. Proverbs Chapter 11 verse 29
• 0:33
says whoever troubles his own household will inherit the wind
• 0:37
and the fool will be servant. To the wise of heart, that
• 0:40
phrase inherit the wind is powerful.
• 0:44
It paints a picture of chasing something and ending up with
• 0:46
  nothing. Foolish decisions, harsh words,
• 0:49
selfish choices. They don't just affect us, they
• 0:52
stir up chaos around us. And sometimes the hard places
• 0:56
we're in are connected to choices, ours or others that
• 1:00
created storms. But even in the middle of chaos,
• 1:04
Psalm 27, verse 14 speaks directly to our hearts.
• 1:08
Wait for the Lord. Be strong and let your heart
• 1:10
take courage. Wait for the Lord.
• 1:13
  Waiting doesn't mean doing nothing.
• 1:16
It means choosing trust when you don't see immediate change.
• 1:19
It means holding on to hope when everything feels delayed.
• 1:23
Waiting stretches your faith. It builds spiritual muscles you
• 1:27
didn't know you had. And then we hear Job in chapter
• 1:30
13, verse 15 say something remarkable.
• 1:34
Though he slay me, I will hope in him, yet I will argue my ways
• 1:37
to his face. Job wasn't pretending everything
• 1:40
was fine. He was deeply wounded.
• 1:43
He questioned, he wrestled, but he refused to let go of hope.
• 1:47
He chose to trust God's character even when he couldn't
• 1:50
understand God's actions. That's real faith.
• 1:54
Not fake smiles, not pretending the pain isn't real.
• 1:57
Real faith says God, this hurts. I don't get it, but I'm still
• 2:01
holding on to you. Maybe your hard place right now
• 2:04
feels overwhelming. Maybe you're waiting for
• 2:07
  healing, restoration, clarity, or peace.
• 2:10
Instead of letting the pressure push you away from God, let it
• 2:13
pull you closer. Let waiting become a space where
• 2:16
your heart grows stronger, not weaker.
• 2:19
And as you wait, pay attention to your choices.
• 2:22
Are they building peace or stirring chaos?
• 2:25
Are they bringing life to your relationships or trouble?
• 2:28
Wisdom plants seeds of hope. Foolishness scatters seeds of
• 2:31
confusion. Even in the hardest seasons,
• 2:34
hope is possible. Not because your situation is
• 2:37
easy, but because your God is faithful.
• 2:40
He sees you in the waiting, He strengthens your heart in the
• 2:43
struggle, and He promises that hope anchored in Him will not be
• 2:47
  wasted. Let's pray.
• 2:49
Heavenly Father, thank you for being my hope in hard places
• 2:53
when life feels overwhelming and confusing, help me to wait on
• 2:57
you with courage. Strengthen my heart when I feel
• 2:59
weak. Teach me to make wise choices
• 3:02
that bring peace instead of chaos.
• 3:05
And like Job, help me to be honest with you while still
• 3:07
holding on to hope in Jesus name, Amen.
• 3:12
What if the most important question in your life deserves
• 3:14
more than a shallow answer? Does God Exist is a powerful,
• 3:18
thought provoking series that explores reality, meaning, and
• 3:21
truth through reason, evidence, human experience, and scripture
• 3:26
  without preaching pressure or assumptions.
• 3:29
Book 1, Something from Nothing, confronts the mystery of
• 3:32
existence itself and asks why anything exists at all.
• 3:35
Book 2, The Cause behind the Cosmos, examines the origin of
• 3:39
the universe and whether it points beyond itself.
• 3:42
Book 3, Design or Accident, wrestles with order and
• 3:45
complexity. Are they products of chance or
• 3:47
intelligence? Book 4, The Moral Signature,
• 3:50
explores why objective right and wrong may require a source
• 3:54
beyond human opinion. Book 5, The God We Cannot
• 3:57
Escape, considers conscience, longing, and humanity's
• 4:00
persistent awareness of God. Book 6, From Reason to
• 4:03
Revelation, asks whether the God who exists would also speak.
• 4:07
And Book 7, Denying God, examines the internal tensions
• 4:11
of unbelief and the deeper implications of rejecting the
• 4:13
  divine. Written in clear, accessible
• 4:16
language for seekers, skeptics, students, and curious minds,
• 4:20
this series invites honest reflection and careful thinking.

Proverbs Chapter 11, verse 29 World English Bible He who
• 4:42
troubles his own house shall inherit the wind.
• 4:45
The foolish shall be servant to the wise of heart.
• 4:47
Psalm chapter 27 world English Bible by David Yahweh is my
• 4:52
light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?
• 4:55
Yahweh is the strength of my life.
• 4:58
Of whom shall I be afraid? When evil doers came at me to
• 5:00
eat up my flesh? Even my adversaries and my foes,
• 5:03
they stumbled and fell. Though an army should encamp
• 5:06
against me, my heart shall not fear.
• 5:09
Though war should rise against me, even then I will be
• 5:11
confident. One thing I have asked of Yahweh
• 5:14
that I will seek after, that I may dwell in Yahweh's house all
• 5:17
the days of my life, to see Yahweh's beauty and to inquire
• 5:21
in His temple. For in the day of trouble He
• 5:23
will keep me secretly in His pavilion, in the secret place of
• 5:27
His Tabernacle. He will hide me.
• 5:29
He will lift me up on a rock. Now my head will be lifted up
• 5:32
above my enemies. Around me I will offer
• 5:35
sacrifices of joy. In His tent I will sing yes, I
• 5:38
will sing praises to Yahweh. Hear Yahweh, when I cry with my
• 5:42
voice, have mercy also on me and answer me.
• 5:45
When you said seek my face, my heart said to you, I will seek
• 5:48
your face. Yahweh, don't hide your face
• 5:51
from me. Don't put your servant away in
• 5:53
anger. You have been my help, don't
• 5:55
abandoned me neither forsake me. God of my salvation, when my
• 5:58
father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up.
• 6:02
Teach me your way Yahweh, lead me in a straight path because of
• 6:05
my enemies. Don't deliver me over to the
• 6:08
desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up
• 6:11
against me such as breathe out cruelty.
• 6:14
I am still confident of this. I will see the goodness of
• 6:17
Yahweh in the land of the living.
• 6:18
Wait for Yahweh, be strong and let your heart take courage.
• 6:22
Yes, wait for Yahweh. Job Chapters 13 to 14 World
• 6:26
English Bible Behold, my eye has seen all this.
• 6:30
My ear has heard and understood it.
• 6:32
What you know, I know also. I am not inferior to you.
• 6:35
Surely I would speak to the Almighty.
• 6:37
I desire to reason with God. But you are forgers of lies.
• 6:41
You are all physicians of no value.
• 6:43
Oh, that you would be completely silent.
• 6:45
Then you would be wise. Hear now my reasoning.
• 6:48
Listen to the pleadings of my lips.
• 6:50
Will you speak unrighteously for God, and talk deceitfully for
• 6:53
Him? Will you show partiality to Him?
• 6:56
Will you contend for God? Is it good that he should search
• 6:59
you out? Or, as one deceives a man, will
• 7:01
you deceive him? He will surely reprove you if
• 7:04
you secretly show partiality. Won't His Majesty make you
• 7:07
afraid, and his dread fall on you?
• 7:09
Your memorable sayings are proverbs of ashes.
• 7:12
Your defenses are defenses of clay.
• 7:14
Be silent. Leave me alone that I may speak.
• 7:17
Let come on me. What will?
• 7:19
Why should I take my flesh and my teeth and put my life in my
• 7:21
hand? Behold, he will kill me.
• 7:24
I have no hope. Nevertheless, I will maintain my
• 7:26
ways before him. This also will be my salvation,
• 7:30
that a godless man will not come before him.
• 7:32
Listen carefully to my speech. Let my declaration be in your
• 7:36
ears. See now I have set my cause in
• 7:39
order. I know that I am righteous.
• 7:41
Who is he who will contend with me?
• 7:43
For then would I hold my peace and give up the Spirit.
• 7:46
Only don't do two things to me. Then I will not hide myself from
• 7:49
your face. Withdraw your hand far from me,
• 7:52
and don't let your terror make me afraid.
• 7:54
Then call and I will answer, or let me speak and you answer me.
• 7:58
How many are my iniquities and sins?
• 8:00
Make me know my disobedience and my sin.
• 8:03
Why do you hide your face and consider me your enemy?
• 8:05
Will you harass A driven leaf? Will you pursue the dry stubble?
• 8:09
For you write bitter things against me and make me inherit
• 8:12
the iniquities of my youth. You also put my feet in the
• 8:15
stalks and mark all my paths. You set a bound to the soles of
• 8:18
my feet, though I am decaying like a rotten thing, like a
• 8:21
garment that is moth eat. Man who is born of a woman is a
• 8:25
few days and full of trouble. He grows up like a flower and is
• 8:28
cut down. He also flees like a shadow and
• 8:31
doesn't continue. Do you open your eyes on such a
• 8:34
one and bring me into judgement with you?
• 8:36
Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean?
• 8:39
Not one seeing, his days are determined.
• 8:42
The number of his months is with you, and you have appointed his
• 8:44
bounds that he can't pass. Look away from him, that he may
• 8:48
rest until he accomplishes as a hireling his day.
• 8:52
For there is hope for a tree, if it is cut down, that it will
• 8:55
sprout again, that the tender branch of it will not cease.
• 8:58
Though its root grows old in the earth, and its stock dies in the
• 9:01
ground, yet through the scent of water it will bud and sprout
• 9:04
boughs like a plant. But man dies and is laid low.
• 9:08
Yes, man gives up the spirit, and where is he?
• 9:11
As the waters fail from the sea and the river wastes and dries
• 9:14
up, so man lies down and doesn't rise until the heavens are no
• 9:18
more. They will not awake nor be
• 9:20
roused out of their sleep. Oh, that you would hide me in
• 9:23
she all. That you would keep me secret
• 9:25
until your wrath is passed. That you would appoint me a set
• 9:27
time and Remember Me. If a man dies, will he live
• 9:31
again? I would wait all the days of my
• 9:33
warfare until my release should come.
• 9:35
You would call and I would answer you.
• 9:37
You would have a desire for the work of your hands.
• 9:40
But now you count my steps. Don't you watch over my sin.
• 9:43
My disobedience is sealed up in a bag.
• 9:46
You fasten up my iniquity, but the mountain falling comes to
• 9:49
nothing. The rock is removed out of its
• 9:51
place. The waters where the stones, the
• 9:54
torrents of it wash away the dust of the earth.
• 9:56
So you destroy the hope of man. You forever prevail against him,
• 10:00
and he departs. You change his face and send him
• 10:03
away. His sons come to honor and he
• 10:05
doesn't know it. They are brought low, but he
• 10:08
doesn't perceive it of them. But his flesh on him has pain,
• 10:11
and his soul within him mourns. Thanks for joining us on Bible
