Latest / Brandon Fogal Evolution / #322 - Elon Musk: The First Trillionaire—Are We Living in His Simulation?
Transcript
- 0:00Elon Musk is now a trillionaire. Can you believe it? I cannot believe that.
- 0:05I never thought I would see the day, but he is now a trillionaire.
- 0:08If there's anyone that would think that they're in a simulation,
- 0:11it would have to be Elon Musk. I mean, what about you?
- 0:16I think that simulation theory, if I wasn't a Christian, if I wasn't a Christian,
- 0:20but I mean, even Christianity, it kind of is like a simulation.
- 0:24I mean, we're not in the real world yet. We'll be in the real world when we're
- 0:29with God. So that's kind of like, kind of like a simulation.
- 0:31That's why it feels like that. It feels like that.
- 0:34But for this guy, for this dude, Elon Musk, he seems like just like a person
- 0:40that was like made up, just created. I guess he was created,
- 0:44but like, he feels like Iron Man, Tony Starks.
- 0:49He's now worth a trillion dollars all right but i want to take a look at this
- 0:52first of all of him this is actually a little while ago but he brings up the
- 0:57simulation theory i do have this theory about the predicting the future which
- 1:02is that the most interesting outcome is the most likely,
- 1:04which if simulation theory is accurate makes sense because,
- 1:08if anyone is simulating a wide range of futurists they're going to stop the
- 1:12simulation when it gets boring because this is what we do in our reality so,
- 1:17if SpaceX is doing or Tesla doing simulations to understand how a car would work or robot or.
- 1:23Spaceship or something like that we'd run all these simulations in the computer and the simulations,
- 1:27that we pay attention to are the ones that are the most interesting like the
- 1:32simulation where everything goes right on the rocket we actually don't pay attention
- 1:34to because that's that's not a everything goes right simulation is fine so we actually test the,
- 1:42when we simulate the rocket flight we'll actually test all sorts of oddball
- 1:46situations but we don't test it we don't have the simulation be totally wrong because,
- 1:51i mean like if the rocket just explodes immediately that's not not also not
- 1:53interesting and i just listened to this guy who's explaining the simulation
- 1:56theory like it's the idea of these tests that have been run like since the 1800s
- 2:00that in our universe things happen differently based on whether you're looking
- 2:05at it whether they're being observed just
- 2:07and these have been tested like just regular things and that's why we know that
- 2:12something's out there like there's something underneath the surface like we
- 2:14know like we're physical we got material we're made up of material but like
- 2:18if we got down to the microscopic like,
- 2:21infinite like you know smallest atom it's like these things are moving they're
- 2:26like alive being held together somehow it's like,
- 2:30we should be able to like go through things but.
- 2:34Kept intact and like this guy brought up this like the theory that like if things
- 2:38that are observed they run tests if it if it's if it's being watched it reacts
- 2:43one way as opposed to if it's not it.
- 2:46Things know when they're being watched and observed in this like our universe
- 2:50everything is alive so elon must bring up the simulation theory that makes a
- 2:55lot of sense and i mean how could you even like i'm,
- 2:59like a guy that's like a beggar a poor man that doesn't have anything.
- 3:03It's hard for him to think that, man, my life is a simulation.
- 3:06It's just like, I'm just, he's probably not thinking about that.
- 3:09He's probably just trying to think of what's my next meal going to be.
- 3:12How am I going to survive? But Elon Musk has everything now worth a trillion
- 3:16dollars. It's crazy. All right. This is from the New York times is,
- 3:20uh, Elon Musk became the first, Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire on Friday.
- 3:25The tech mogul reached that milestone when shares of his rocket company,
- 3:28SpaceX, began trading on the stock market, opening at $150, signaling a new
- 3:34era of ultra-affluence and widening wealth inequality.
- 3:38SpaceX shares ended up rising 20% from their initial public offering price of
- 3:43$135, closing the day at $161.
- 3:48Mr.
- 3:49Musk's net worth, which comprises his stock in SpaceX and his electric car maker, Tesla,
- 3:56as well as his ownership stakes in other ventures, including the brain implant
- 3:59company Neuralink and the tunneling firm, The Boring Company,
- 4:03stood at around $1.2 trillion.
- 4:07His net worth is worth $1.2 trillion. And I just reached out to Elon.
- 4:12I said, can I borrow a couple bucks? I have yet to hear him get back to me.
- 4:16Like, this is just fake money. It just, and I know it's like,
- 4:20it's not like he has this liquid assets.
- 4:21Like he can, he's like, he's like Donald, what's that guy? Not Donald Duck,
- 4:25but Scrooge McDuck, who has all like a hundred, like millions of gold coins
- 4:29and he can dive into it, you know, all that. And he doesn't have that on hand.
- 4:33It's like, these are built into his companies.
- 4:35But still, that's a pretty, that's a pretty cool thing. It's like being a billionaire
- 4:40is one thing, a trillionaire, that's like, we're talking about countries' net
- 4:43worth. Like this is more net worth than a lot of countries out there.
- 4:47All right. So I'm going to actually jump back in a little bit.
- 4:50This is the one he brings up about Tony, like him being compared,
- 4:54like the guy, Tony Stark, Iron Man was built and made off of Elon Musk,
- 4:59which is pretty interesting in itself.
- 5:02And he said like in Iron Man 2, it was most of it was filmed or a lot of it
- 5:07was filmed at his at SpaceX.
- 5:09And like, it just doesn't seem like real life. and you expect me to believe
- 5:13this is all real it's a simulation exactly what are the odds.
- 5:18Yeah i mean if you were me no i agree with you would you think this is real
- 5:22or a simulation your life is a simulation yeah your life gets to be the simulation
- 5:26yeah and i'm like doing all the side quests and everything,
- 5:29yeah what's your best side quest uh doge probably all right that was a good
- 5:33side quest i thought it would have i thought it would have been more i thought
- 5:36doge would accomplished more than they did and he.
- 5:39He actually regrets doing doge and he felt like he lost a lot of ground but
- 5:43it's like if you don't take those you don't take those leaps of faith what you
- 5:46think doing what you think is right you're not going to know whether it turns
- 5:49out good or bad and it's a lesson learned you know so,
- 5:53i just think about this being like him being a trillionaire like is he the real
- 5:58like the the real playable character and we're all just npcs,
- 6:03I mean, I would say yes and no, yes and no. And I've talked about this before.
- 6:07I think that everybody born into this world, we are all NPCs. We are all NPCs.
- 6:13And it's not until God comes in and turns on the lights, makes us alive in Christ,
- 6:20that we actually become a real playable character. That's my view. That's my view.
- 6:26And the reason I even say that is because I view that God is the only real playable
- 6:32character and that God who stepped into the video game or stepped into this
- 6:36simulation, whatever you want to call it, in the form of Jesus Christ.
- 6:40That was him walking on earth and just being a part of the game,
- 6:44like, you know, and going up to people and just turning them on,
- 6:47making them alive, making them real people.
- 6:49And they're no longer just statues. they're actually putting on flesh and bones,
- 6:53having real life, having breath, having the breath of God in them.
- 6:57That's kind of like the whole Christian idea is that God puts his breath and
- 7:01awakens us, you know, lights the, the, the flame on our heart and our spirit like makes it again.
- 7:09So this is where I would say, because like, it can be like, and I see like Elizabeth
- 7:13Warren, she's the Congresswoman.
- 7:14She's out there saying a lot of things about, we need, you know,
- 7:18there needs to be a wealth tax.
- 7:20We need to tax the crap out of these guys, you know, and just,
- 7:23and that's just a game of envy.
- 7:25You know, it's like if, if it was like if Elon Musk got taxed more and somehow
- 7:30that came to me, oh, I might, I might be, I might be okay with that.
- 7:34And I don't know about you. I mean, but that's not even how it all works.
- 7:38And even that itself, that it's just, it becomes just an envy greed of just
- 7:42like, I want what they have and I'm willing to steal it, steal it from like
- 7:46the government stealing it from them. And that's kind of eye view.
- 7:49I think we need to have that private property that it's fine. That like...
- 7:55A guy like Elon Musk, he is paying his fair share. You know,
- 7:58I don't think we can get around that.
- 8:01So it all just becomes just like talking points to me when people say like they're
- 8:04not paying their fair share because like, look how much they have.
- 8:08They have like and they have such a little smaller window or of percentage that
- 8:12they get taxed compared to, you know, a school teacher or whatever.
- 8:15There's so many things with our tax code that we can make it even or whatever.
- 8:20It's it's all like in this world, it's all always going to be corrupt.
- 8:23It's always going to be corrupted you know and people that know how to go find
- 8:28the loopholes and like do their own thing to try to game the system.
- 8:33They're going to make it out on top you know they they have the purse strings they have the power,
- 8:37i and i see the inequality but like that it's just like if we if we just like
- 8:42pull back the veil and like we look at it from a perspective if like step back
- 8:46a little bit and not and get out of the mindset of like he has a trillion dollars
- 8:50i only have a hundred dollars.
- 8:53What what's where's the beef you know i get our guys like that's kind of messed
- 8:56up rather you know from a biblical perspective and i i like to bring it towards the bible because,
- 9:02if we go back to even jesus's time jesus talked to all these poor people and
- 9:07these regular people they're just that weren't like the highest,
- 9:12rungs of society or whatever and he said he said to them you are the light of
- 9:16the world you are the salt of the earth and like telling these people that probably couldn't like,
- 9:21they didn't have any power or influence just these regular commoners like what
- 9:25it seemed like beggars and homeless people today to us in our like kind of in our worldview,
- 9:32But that like goes for everyone. And it makes it more and more clear to me,
- 9:36like why it would be tough for rich people to enter the kingdom of heaven.
- 9:40Because when you have more and more and more, it's hard to let go.
- 9:43It's not that like money is evil in itself, but it's hard to like relinquish it.
- 9:49Not let it like have its claws in us.
- 9:53And that's why I see it as God when he says that it's harder for a camel to
- 9:59go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven.
- 10:02It's because there's so much more baggage.
- 10:04And in the apostles day, him that Jesus saying that is not this.
- 10:09It's not like in our view, we think that, well, the rich are the evil ones in their worldview.
- 10:14The rich were the blessed ones. The rich were the ones that had everything and
- 10:18that we should aspire to be because like they viewed it. Well,
- 10:21father Abraham, he had so much wealth.
- 10:23It's like, if, if you're doing good and do what's right in God's eyes,
- 10:26he's going to bless you. And Jesus turned that completely upside down.
- 10:30That's why it's like it's it's there's not one way it's not a one-way street
- 10:33you're it's not like you're when you're doing good you're being blessed and
- 10:36when you're doing bad you're do you're.
- 10:38You're all what you're you're sinning or something like that,
- 10:42it's there's so much like that's why i think in the bible like it says like
- 10:45god's judgments are unsearchable like because if we try to pin down like why
- 10:49does he have so much more money and this person doesn't why is there such variance
- 10:53and like everybody is like given a different hand
- 10:56we're not all the same and like and even just
- 10:59the ability to come to God in the first place
- 11:01have having revelation of knowing God.
- 11:04Not if that's not even equal, it doesn't seem.
- 11:06It's like you're either you're born in America where there's a church on every
- 11:10corner or you're born in the Amazon jungle where like you're never going to hear the name of Jesus.
- 11:16And it's not to say that those people in the amazon jungle can't become can't
- 11:20be saved and be with god for all eternity i mean abraham never heard of the name of jesus you know he.
- 11:27Like it was all like it's like all from humanity we all have general revelation
- 11:32we have we understand there everybody knows there's a god but all like all this
- 11:36revelation of we look out in the world everything just seems
- 11:39too good to be true everything's perfectly going together you You know,
- 11:42it rains, it evaporates, goes back to the side.
- 11:45The rivers are always pouring into the ocean and they never steeped,
- 11:48never stopped to have water. It's like how the, like the world is put together
- 11:52is just so perfectly done.
- 11:54We know there's a God, but all that does is condemn us. All that does is give
- 11:58us enough revelation to say you should surrender to God.
- 12:03You should, you know, but like the gospel, the message of the gospel is it doesn't
- 12:07matter how much money you have.
- 12:09It doesn't matter your bank account. it doesn't matter how much even like general
- 12:12revelation you have it doesn't even matter how what good things you're going to do it's just like,
- 12:17it's it has to be like a supernatural thing god has to come in somehow somehow
- 12:23he has to come in and flip on the light he needs to turn,
- 12:28like the switch on so we're in the game so that we're made alive and i just think,
- 12:33these are these are just like myths are like like little like smoke screens
- 12:37of somebody that person's rich over there or that person's poor this all seems
- 12:40like a simulation i'm a simulation we're all you know everybody's npc everybody it's like.
- 12:46We take a step back. God is the one, like he knows what he's doing and why he
- 12:53does the things he does, I don't know. And I don't think, we're not gonna know until we're with him.
- 12:57But I think that we can rest in peace that he's a God of like truth,
- 13:03justice and of doing what's right.
- 13:06It's like, that's the kind of, you gotta like let go and let God.
- 13:09Like he's got everything under control.
- 13:11Why the Elon Musk seems so blessed. I don't need to envy him.
- 13:15Why like but he might have like some tougher things to let go of to surrender
- 13:20to the almighty god you know that that's kind of like where i where i feel at it i think so,
- 13:25but let me know what you think what what how do you feel about like or is your
- 13:29immediate reaction like man it just i he he needs to give me some of that money or
- 13:35the government needs to come out there and confiscate it take from him you know
- 13:37but like are you gonna see that money even if it does no,
- 13:41it just becomes like like it feels like,
- 13:44i'm jealous of that person or or whatever covetous of that person but all right
- 13:49we'll leave it at that let me know what you think,
- 13:51and hope you have a wonderful rest of the weekend see y'all.
