- 0:00SPEAKER_00: Hi, Allie's automatically on the rude department on this, but I I set this up for you because on this weekend I found out that we're supposed to I assume I'm invited.
- 0:10SPEAKER_00: Maybe after this conversation, it's an uninvite.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Well, I love that the I assume I'm invited.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: Like why wouldn't you be?
- 0:17SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: So uh Tiffany tells me, she goes, Yeah, I'm going because I I actually asked her.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: I said, I haven't heard anything about what's going on for the fourth.
- 0:25SPEAKER_00: Like, are we are we doing everything?
- 0:27SPEAKER_00: I honestly was gonna sand my kitchen floors, but now that it's gonna be 99 degrees, that's 99 problems I don't want right now.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, that's I might have to wait a week for the heat dome to go away.
- 0:37SPEAKER_00: You know, I know that sounds like Scott sounds like he's making an excuse.
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: Do you want to sand a floor at 99 degree temperature?
- 0:43SPEAKER_01: No, especially because I'd asked you so, in all disclosure, Scott sanded a floor for me at a previous house, and I didn't didn't remember how this worked.
- 0:52SPEAKER_01: I said, Do you got to open up the doors and the windows?
- 0:54SPEAKER_01: He goes, Yeah, that's probably a good idea.
- 0:55SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:56SPEAKER_00: So once you start ripping down polyurethane, unless you want to be high as a kite.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 1:00SPEAKER_01: So now that I know that, do not sand your floors.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: I think I'm gonna have to wait a week.
- 1:05SPEAKER_00: Which takes us back to are we doing, you know, a get-together somewhere for the family?
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: We've been out before to 4th of July in Hornell.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: They do a good party, don't get me wrong.
- 1:14SPEAKER_00: I'm sure.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: Yeah, especially because you bring all the food.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: Yeah, exactly.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: And personality.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: And I have made, yeah, and I've said, I've said, um, you know, if we're gonna do cookouts, I'd prefer to do them at our house.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: We have all the tools.
- 1:27SPEAKER_00: Right, exactly.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: All the tools and all the toys.
- 1:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: I hate that.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: And then uh, but then it became well, the real catch here is her grandparents are in their early to mid-90s.
- 1:40SPEAKER_00: You're not gonna drag them from Hornell to West Elmyra.
- 1:43SPEAKER_00: It's just not gonna happen.
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: So, okay, are we gonna do this over there?
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: And I I bring up the question are we are we grilling?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Are we cooking?
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Are we doing what are we doing?
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: You don't order a pizza on 4th of July, right?
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 1:53SPEAKER_01: So she's a hot dog hamburger kind of day.
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Yeah, we goes, she goes, we could do like hot dogs and hamburgers and that.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: And then in my back in my head, I I'm almost at the point because we're about a week and a half away where if I eat one more hot dog, I probably will explode a pack of salins.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: Uh so uh I said, I'm thinking to myself, well, what if I bring a steak?
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: Rude.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: And I'm eating the steak, but everybody else has their hot dogs and hamburgers.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: Now keep in mind, I've traveled, we've probably supplied both hot dogs and hamburgers for everybody, as well as I'm gonna be cooking it.
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: So you're basically like, I do what I want.
- 2:25SPEAKER_00: That's I mean, is it rude?
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: I mean, is it really bad?
- 2:27SPEAKER_00: And I appreciate the support here from 2054.
- 2:30SPEAKER_01: They said, I don't think Scott bringing a steak is rude.
- 2:33SPEAKER_01: Everyone has dietary restrictions.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: That's mine.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: No different than I'm almost at my hot dog limit.
- 2:38SPEAKER_01: No different than a vegetarian bringing some tofu because they can't have hot dogs or hamburgers.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: Thank you.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: What's the difference?
- 2:43SPEAKER_00: If you're vegan, if you're vegan and you decide to bring your vegan lasagna, whatever the hell that's like, uh, you know, then what's the difference?
- 2:52SPEAKER_00: My dietary restriction is I've reached my sausage intake for the first two quarters of 2026.
- 2:59SPEAKER_01: Do you think any of Tiffany's family would even ask you about it?
- 3:03SPEAKER_01: Or do you think that they are going to secretly just be judging you after you leave?
- 3:07SPEAKER_01: Oh, I'm sure anybody would judge.
- 3:08SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 3:09SPEAKER_01: Are you okay with this judgment?
- 3:10SPEAKER_00: Uh, you know, that's what you have to live with.
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: I come back.
- 3:14SPEAKER_01: A full belly and judgment.
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: Yes, but I but I come back to the fact you're right.
- 3:19SPEAKER_00: What is the difference between a di I mean, all right, technically I don't have a dietary restriction.
- 3:24SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: That's an interesting perspective, but I also I think it makes you seem a little elitist.
- 3:30SPEAKER_00: Like, I've done everything.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: I've traveled the hour and I have to travel an hour home.
- 3:36SPEAKER_01: I brought the broccoli salad, I brought the potato salad, I brought the potato.
- 3:41SPEAKER_01: Including my meat.
- 3:42SPEAKER_01: Then you know what?
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: That's a steak, not a joke.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Right.
- 3:45SPEAKER_01: Go ahead and eat the steak.
- 3:47SPEAKER_01: But I personally could not live with the judgment because I don't know how they feel about you right now, but I don't, especially when it comes to the in-laws, you don't want to be in bad graces with them.
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: Yeah, but I'm also at the point, I'm starting to get to the age I don't care.
- 4:02SPEAKER_01: Fine.
- 4:03SPEAKER_01: Then go ahead, but they're not gonna like you anymore.
- 4:07SPEAKER_01: I can't live that way.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 4:09SPEAKER_01: Because I'm a people pleaser.
- 4:11SPEAKER_00: You know what?
- 4:12SPEAKER_00: Stand by for just a minute.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: Hold on a second.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Let me bring this into it.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: From 4958.
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: Now listen, everyone.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, I love when it starts with a now listen, everyone.
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: Listen, everyone was hard on Allie when she admitted that she had salmon and made Zach eat hot dogs.
- 4:33SPEAKER_00: So how can we justify Scott taking a steak?
- 4:37SPEAKER_00: Get up, Allie.
