  Speaker 1: verses to their lives and the Lord Jesus Christ's name.

  Speaker 1: get too much into our story, but it's the Gospel

  Speaker 1: of Matthew chapter twenty one, Jesus goes into Jerusalem. Now,

  Speaker 1: I want you to grab your Bibles or get on

  Speaker 1: your Bible app and read along. I highly encourage to

  Speaker 1: be able to soak in the word as you hear
• 0:50
  Speaker 1: the word. And I've also stated it's so much more

  Speaker 1: beneficial when you can read along as you hear along.

  Speaker 1: But if you want to just listen, that's just fine too.

  Speaker 1: So let's get into Matthew chapter twenty one, Verse one,
• 1:09
  Speaker 1: it says Jesus and his twelve disciples were coming near
• 1:12
  Speaker 1: to Jerusalem. They came to the village called Bethpagey on
• 1:17
  Speaker 1: the Mount of Olives. Then Jesus sent two of his
• 1:21
  Speaker 1: disciples to go further.
• 1:23
  Speaker 2: Verse two.
• 1:24
  Speaker 1: He said to them, go into the village that is
• 1:28
  Speaker 1: in front of you. When you arrived there, you will
• 1:31
  Speaker 1: immediately see a donkey tied to there with her young donkey.
• 1:37
  Speaker 1: Undo the ropes, and bring both the donkeys here to me.
• 1:42
  Speaker 1: Verse three. Someone may ask you what are you doing?
• 1:47
  Speaker 1: Then say, the Master needs them. He will send them
• 1:51
  Speaker 1: back to you soon.

  Speaker 2: Verse four.

  Speaker 1: A prophet had spoken a message from God about this
• 1:58
  Speaker 1: long ago.
• 1:59
  Speaker 2: Now it became true.

  Speaker 1: Verse five say to the people in Jerusalem, look, your

  Speaker 1: king is coming to you. He is humble, and he
• 2:10
  Speaker 1: is riding on a donkey. Yes, he is riding on
• 2:14
  Speaker 1: a young donkey. And I want to go with that first,
• 2:20
  Speaker 1: ending to the verse five verses when it comes to
• 2:23
  Speaker 1: how humble that Jesus came into the village on a donkey.
• 2:33
  Speaker 1: He could have came on a horse. He could have
• 2:34
  Speaker 1: came on something really spiritually like a lion. I mean,
• 2:41
  Speaker 1: we can even talk about even things that we don't
• 2:44
  Speaker 1: even have names for. But we're talking about a donkey
• 2:48
  Speaker 1: and the people that we're just trying to touch him
• 2:52
  Speaker 1: and get his get the Holy Spirit right. And not
• 2:55
  Speaker 1: only that being able to you know, have witnessed and
• 3:01
  Speaker 1: heard all about the miracles that were taking place. So
• 3:05
  Speaker 1: like when we're talking about how humble he was, right now,
• 3:09
  Speaker 1: he's such an authority. You know that he made it
• 3:16
  Speaker 1: clear to his disciples go into the village and tell
• 3:23
  Speaker 1: them he had such direction. He was such a leader,
• 3:31
  Speaker 1: and it was all statistic too, like strategic. I'm sorry,
• 3:37
  Speaker 1: and I feel that with the Holy Spirit, you know,
• 3:43
  Speaker 1: and I know that when it comes to realizing the
• 3:49
  Speaker 1: time Jesus was in Jerusalem, I don't know.
• 3:57
  Speaker 2: You can only imagine like.

  Speaker 1: How much pressure he had he had felt to come
• 4:04
  Speaker 1: into this village, not only because he knew he was
• 4:07
  Speaker 1: going to get praised, but he was gonna probably also
• 4:13
  Speaker 1: get hazed.
• 4:18
  Speaker 2: He had twelve.
• 4:19
  Speaker 1: Disciples that made sure that he that they went ahead
• 4:23
  Speaker 1: before he.
• 4:25
  Speaker 2: I he was smart, and I.
• 4:26
  Speaker 1: Would get more into that, but we're gonna we're gonna
• 4:28
  Speaker 1: go ahead and read along on verse six. So the
• 4:30
  Speaker 1: two disciples went to the village. They did everything that
• 4:35
  Speaker 1: Jesus had told them to do verse seven, and were
• 4:39
  Speaker 1: still in Matthew chapter twenty one. They brought the donkey
• 4:43
  Speaker 1: and the young donkey to Jesus. They put their coats
• 4:47
  Speaker 1: on the backs of the donkey. Then Jesus sat on
• 4:52
  Speaker 1: one of them.
• 4:53
  Speaker 2: Verse eight.
• 4:53
  Speaker 1: Many people in the crowd put their coats down on
• 4:57
  Speaker 1: the road. Other people cut branches from trees. They put
• 5:01
  Speaker 1: these branches down on the road. See what I'm talking about,
• 5:04
  Speaker 1: I've already spoken. I know this because I've read this before.
• 5:08
  Speaker 1: Many crowds of people went in front of Jesus, and
• 5:11
  Speaker 1: other people followed him. All of them were shouting. We
• 5:15
  Speaker 1: praised the son of David. May the Lord God bless
• 5:19
  Speaker 1: the king who comes with authority. We praise God in
• 5:24
  Speaker 1: heaven above Verse ten. When Jesus went into Jerusalem, everybody
• 5:31
  Speaker 1: in the city had trouble, had trouble in their minds.
• 5:35
  Speaker 1: They were asking each other, who is this man? Now?
• 5:38
  Speaker 1: How many times have you felt like people misunderstand you,
• 5:44
  Speaker 1: They misunderstand your purpose.
• 5:47
  Speaker 2: Why you're even there. We've all gone through this. Doesn't matter.
• 5:51
  Speaker 2: If it's at the supermarket, it doesn't matter.
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: If it's at your job, it doesn't matter if it's
• 5:56
  Speaker 1: at an event we all get looked up and down.

  Speaker 1: Can sit here right and say that that's happened to
• 6:03
  Speaker 1: all of us, and to be where Jesus is at
• 6:14
  Speaker 1: this point in Jerusalem. Not everybody liked Jesus now, so
• 6:23
  Speaker 1: let's get into it. Verse eleven. The people in the
• 6:26
  Speaker 1: crowd replied, this is God's prophet, Jesus. He comes from
• 6:30
  Speaker 1: Nadras in Gallei, Verse twelve. We're still on Matthew twenty one.

  Speaker 1: We're gonna ride this story out. Then Jesus went into
• 6:41
  Speaker 1: the yard of the temple. People were buying and selling
• 6:45
  Speaker 1: these and things there. Jesus made them all leave that place.
• 6:49
  Speaker 1: He pushed over tables of the men who changed coins.
• 6:55
  Speaker 1: He also pushed over the seats of the men who
• 6:58
  Speaker 1: sold birth. Jesus was flipping tables making everyone, didn't matter
• 7:08
  Speaker 1: what rank or authority was there. So everybody may think
• 7:13
  Speaker 1: that Jesus is all kind and nice. Now Jesus, Jesus
• 7:16
  Speaker 1: came to send a message, and it was all to
• 7:21
  Speaker 1: glorify his father, And what they were doing was not
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: pleasing his father, and he was told to act upon that.
• 7:31
  Speaker 2: You know, that's the one thing about God and I'm
• 7:34
  Speaker 2: talking about God, not.
• 7:36
  Speaker 1: Jesus, not the Holy Spirit, God the Almighty, He made everything.
• 7:41
  Speaker 1: Think about the space, think about the ocean. We know
• 7:44
  Speaker 1: more about our space than we know about our ocean.
• 7:47
  Speaker 1: My point is is that God Almighty, we can never
• 7:56
  Speaker 1: understand what's on that it's mind. I'm not gonna say he,
• 8:02
  Speaker 1: I'm not gonna say she, even though it does say Father, right,
• 8:08
  Speaker 1: But we got God, Jesus in the Holy Spirit. That's
• 8:12
  Speaker 1: what the Embra show really believes in. So let's dive
• 8:17
  Speaker 1: deeper because I'm gonna tell you more about this Jesus.

  Speaker 1: And I don't know how much time we have left,
• 8:23
  Speaker 1: but we're gonna We got plenty of time. So we're
• 8:33
  Speaker 1: talking about Jesus not being so peace corps. Everybody thinks
• 8:38
  Speaker 1: he's a hippie, right, like people that don't really read
• 8:41
  Speaker 1: about the Gospels of Jesus. Right, You gotta dig deep
• 8:47
  Speaker 1: in some of these too. I used to write these
• 8:50
  Speaker 1: verses out.

  Speaker 2: I used to.
• 8:52
  Speaker 1: I used to read the Bible, and each verse I
• 8:55
  Speaker 1: would write out, and then I would write it over
• 8:57
  Speaker 1: and over so I could see it, you know, And

  Speaker 1: that's one way of learning. It's I'd highly suggest it

  Speaker 1: ive give it a shot.

  Speaker 2: Jesus spoke to them all.

  Speaker 1: He said, the Bible says God's house will be a
• 9:15
  Speaker 1: place where people come together to pray. Let's go, but
• 9:19
  Speaker 1: you have changed it into a place where robbers meet.
• 9:26
  Speaker 1: Blind people went to meet Jesus in the yard of
• 9:29
  Speaker 1: the temple. People who could not walk very well also
• 9:36
  Speaker 1: went there. Jesus caused them all to become well. The
• 9:41
  Speaker 1: leaders see this is where not everybody like Jesus now
• 9:44
  Speaker 1: the verse fifteen Matthew, Chapter twenty one.

  Speaker 2: The leaders of the priests and the teachers.
• 9:50
  Speaker 1: Of God's law saw all the powerful things that Jesus did.
• 9:54
  Speaker 1: They also saw children in the yard of the temple
• 9:57
  Speaker 1: who were shouting, welcome, We pray that God will bless you,

  Speaker 1: son of David. All these things caused the important Jews
• 10:07
  Speaker 1: to become very angry. How many times in your life
• 10:11
  Speaker 1: have you become very angry, whether it be because you've
• 10:16
  Speaker 1: been mistreated, or you're looking at something that you wish
• 10:20
  Speaker 1: you were, something that you wish you had, something that
• 10:23
  Speaker 1: you wish you could do, and you're sitting there and
• 10:27
  Speaker 1: Jesus is in that same kind of parable. Think about
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: that for a second. Jesus did all these miracles. You
• 10:37
  Speaker 1: couldn't even put it in a book enough. How many
• 10:39
  Speaker 1: miracles he actually did in his ministry before they killed him.
• 10:44
  Speaker 2: You just couldn't.
• 10:45
  Speaker 1: You had five hundred witnesses, eyewitnesses seeing Jesus Christ.
• 10:51
  Speaker 2: Also rise from the dead.
• 10:55
  Speaker 1: And actually be alive after three days after he died,
• 11:00
  Speaker 1: said that he was going to die, and in three
• 11:03
  Speaker 1: days he was going to be alive, and it happened.
• 11:08
  Speaker 2: So he's a man that's actually of his word. He's honest,
• 11:11
  Speaker 2: he's he's the truth.
• 11:14
  Speaker 1: None of us could be the truth. We've all lied.
• 11:17
  Speaker 1: Let's just be honest. We need to be more like Jesus. Amen,
• 11:22
  Speaker 1: because the Gospel of Matthew and the Gospel of John,
• 11:25
  Speaker 1: the disciples that were really close to Jesus, is what
• 11:29
  Speaker 1: you really want to read, because that's what we will
• 11:32
  Speaker 1: be if we continue to grow closer to Jesus. And
• 11:38
  Speaker 1: I got really passionate there. The Holy Spirit was there.
• 11:42
  Speaker 1: I just want to highly encourage anybody. I got three minutes,
• 11:45
  Speaker 1: and it's interesting. I'm a very time kind of person.
• 11:50
  Speaker 1: I'd be looking at time and I see angel numbers,
• 11:53
  Speaker 1: and exactly when I came back back from the Bible
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: app onto the recording app it was three six scene

  Speaker 1: and I want you to do some homeworker, not some homework,
• 12:04
  Speaker 1: but a little assignment to look up John three point sixteen.

  Speaker 2: Just look it up.

  Speaker 1: It's everything that we were basically just talking about tonight.

  Speaker 1: And I say that because I am a man that
• 12:20
  Speaker 1: believes that everything happens for a reason, especially now that
• 12:27
  Speaker 1: I follow Christ.
• 12:27
  Speaker 2: I already see it.
• 12:29
  Speaker 1: I already see what's going to happen, just like Jesus
• 12:33
  Speaker 1: saw a right that when he was going to die.
• 12:37
  Speaker 1: He didn't know exactly who was going to betray him,
• 12:40
  Speaker 1: like Judas, he didn't know it was going to be Judas,
• 12:45
  Speaker 1: but eventually it came to a vision he did and
• 12:49
  Speaker 1: he didn't even he didn't even tell. At the last supper,
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: he just said that he knew that one would betray him.
• 12:59
  Speaker 1: He already knew who it was, but he didn't know
• 13:08
  Speaker 1: exactly when it was going to take place, but he
• 13:13
  Speaker 1: knew it was coming, you know. And having that be
• 13:22
  Speaker 1: something that I applied to my life, because there's been
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: plenty of times I felt like I've died and come
• 13:30
  Speaker 1: back to life, and that has nothing to do with me.

  Speaker 1: I'm not going to boast in that today. No sir,
• 13:37
  Speaker 1: no ma'am. What this is is a product of the
• 13:42
  Speaker 1: Holy Spirit and me accepting Jesus Christ as my Lord
• 13:45
  Speaker 1: and Savior when I was sixteen years old, got baptized
• 13:50
  Speaker 1: at twenty two, started following Jesus at the age of
• 13:54
  Speaker 1: thirty six. It's a transition. It doesn't all just happen overnight.
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: You don't want to be fooled. I got one minute
• 14:02
  Speaker 1: to be when you go to church and you hear
• 14:06
  Speaker 1: some of these pastors, especially on TV, that you can
• 14:11
  Speaker 1: be instantly healed.
• 14:14
  Speaker 2: You're not Jesus.
• 14:17
  Speaker 1: He has given us certain powers and certain authorities, and
• 14:20
  Speaker 1: there are times where I do feel as if that
• 14:23
  Speaker 1: can take place.
• 14:27
  Speaker 2: But the love that God has for us we can
• 14:30
  Speaker 2: give away.
• 14:33
  Speaker 1: And what I love about having my own podcasts, no guests,

  Speaker 1: no nothing but me and the Holy Spirit, no interruptions.
