- 0:15Speaker 1: and tips to help make you rich in life. And
- 0:19Speaker 1: welcome to summer Summer. Summer Summer. This is the last
- 0:27Speaker 1: chance to get it right. Let's put that on the list.
- 0:30Speaker 1: But first off the board, high school musical. Yeah, we've
- 0:36Speaker 1: got a syllabus. We've got a Hot Gail Summer syllabus
- 0:38Speaker 1: that's going to be running through this entire episode. I
- 0:40Speaker 1: can feel it in New waters. Be a test and
- 0:43Speaker 1: that is the first that is on your homework for
- 0:45Speaker 1: summer high school Musical one, two and three Summer reading.
- 0:48Speaker 1: So if you haven't caught onto it already, we are
- 0:51Speaker 1: back for our seasonal episode, the Hot Chicks Summer Checkers.
- 0:55Speaker 1: We do this whenever we go into a new season
- 0:57Speaker 1: and it's what our vibes are for the season the summer.
- 1:03Speaker 1: So we chat fashion trends, makeup and skincare tips, and
- 1:08Speaker 1: also just our life lessons and what we're embracing this summer.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So before we get into that, though, Sally Bally love
- 1:14Speaker 1: my life, what's your obsession.
- 1:17Speaker 2: My obsession of the week is a new Christmas carol, Yes,
- 1:24Speaker 2: which you may have seen that Taylor Mompson has released
- 1:29Speaker 2: a Christmas album.
- 1:30Speaker 1: Are you across the across this? Yeah, so I meant
- 1:32Speaker 1: to send it to you and being like we've been
- 1:36Speaker 1: fed again because Christina Aguilira is doing a Christmas special
- 1:41Speaker 1: and she's released new Christmas covers and also Taylor Mompson.
- 1:46Speaker 2: Which iconic but I feel like most of the chicks
- 1:50Speaker 2: will notice, but for anyone who doesn't. Taylor Mompson is
- 1:54Speaker 2: the front woman of a band called The Pretty Reckless
- 1:57Speaker 2: and she also played Cindi Lu, who.
- 1:59Speaker 1: I feel like that should have been the other way
- 2:00Speaker 1: run well, because this is why she's Tailor. Muggsin is
- 2:05Speaker 1: the actress that played Cindilu in The Grinch.
- 2:09Speaker 2: Yes, and she played that role when she was like five.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Now she's like in her early thirties and for the
- 2:16Speaker 2: last like fifteen years, she's been the front woman of
- 2:18Speaker 2: this rock band, The Pretty Reckless. And she also was
- 2:22Speaker 2: Jenny Humphreyes in Gossip Girl, so she's lived so many lives.
- 2:27Speaker 2: But yeah, this year they released a Christmas album and
- 2:30Speaker 2: she has done a cover of where Are You Christmas,
- 2:33Speaker 2: which is the Christmas Carol that Cindilu who sings in
- 2:36Speaker 2: The Grunch, and they sample the vocal from the film
- 2:41Speaker 2: and then it's like she's singing to her younger self
- 2:45Speaker 2: and then it goes into like a rock and roll
- 2:46Speaker 2: cover of the song. It's so cute. Yeah, obviously we're
- 2:49Speaker 2: huge fans of The Grunch, so I was like, this
- 2:52Speaker 2: is just everything I need. And also you're a little
- 2:54Speaker 2: punk rocker, right chick. So yeah, that's my obsession of
- 2:59Speaker 2: the week. Definitely to the Christmas Carol playlist immediately.
- 3:03Speaker 1: Okay, my obsession of the week is a product and
- 3:08Speaker 1: I have been trying this so this product went viral
- 3:11Speaker 1: on TikTok and it is absolutely worth every single penny.
- 3:14Speaker 1: It is the brawn Skin I Expert seven ipl hair
- 3:18Speaker 1: removal device. If you think laser hair removal is a scam,
- 3:21Speaker 1: when you've been going getting laser hair removal for like
- 3:23Speaker 1: seven years, get this product. I have had at home
- 3:28Speaker 1: laser hair removal devices and I've never been like, m yay,
- 3:32Speaker 1: Like I've never loved them. This thing black Magic burn
- 3:36Speaker 1: it at the steak. It is so good. You can
- 3:40Speaker 1: use this laser hair removal device at home and on
- 3:43Speaker 1: fake tan. Wow, I'll pause for applause. How come? Because
- 3:49Speaker 1: it has sensor technology that it reads your skin tone
- 3:54Speaker 1: and adjusts the level of intensity based on your skin
- 3:58Speaker 1: and your hair type. Wow. Yeah, it maps it out,
- 4:03Speaker 1: so it kind of will like scan your skin and
- 4:05Speaker 1: does it for what you need. You can kind of
- 4:07Speaker 1: put in the density of your hair and it'll adjust
- 4:11Speaker 1: it to that. It's so good. And normally when I shave,
- 4:16Speaker 1: like if I shave my legs by the afternoon, the
- 4:19Speaker 1: Italian jeans are like, aren't they like they're back right? Yeah,
- 4:23Speaker 1: They're rising from the depths of hell. And I'm like,
- 4:25Speaker 1: get out of here, right. And I also get x mart,
- 4:28Speaker 1: so I get it INGOs and I get really itchy.
- 4:30Speaker 1: I used it once last week on a Tuesday for
- 4:35Speaker 1: context for this recording. It's been ten days. My hair
- 4:38Speaker 1: has only just started growing back. That's going to be
- 4:40Speaker 1: amazing for summer. Obviously, read the instructions because everyone's skin
- 4:45Speaker 1: is different and I don't want to burn anyone with
- 4:47Speaker 1: my instruction manual. But the other thing is it's really quick.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Other at home head laser device is so fucking slow.
- 4:57Speaker 1: It goes like you move it and you got away
- 4:59Speaker 1: like ten second and it goes and it takes like
- 5:02Speaker 1: seven years to do one leg. This one's so quick.
- 5:05Speaker 1: It takes eight minutes to do like your lower leg,
- 5:08Speaker 1: eight minutes to do the top leg. And that's for
- 5:10Speaker 1: both legs, by the way. Yeah, so good. I'm gonna
- 5:14Speaker 1: be like a slipery little slartie dolphin this entire summer,
- 5:19Speaker 1: and I'm not going to be scratching myself like I've
- 5:21Speaker 1: got fleas.
- 5:23Speaker 2: Or trying to do the mental gymnastics of being like okay,
- 5:25Speaker 2: so if I yeah for this, yeah coming up into
- 5:28Speaker 2: By the way, they scratching.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Is because of the x MAR. I just feel like
- 5:31Speaker 1: I needed to provide that complex. Yeah. It's so good,
- 5:36Speaker 1: and it's currently on sale at the Shaver Shop. It's
- 5:39Speaker 1: normally fourteen hundred dollars ninety nine. I know it's a
- 5:43Speaker 1: pretty penny, but right now it's five hundred and ninety
- 5:46Speaker 1: nine dollars. WHOA, I know that that's like four laser
- 5:49Speaker 1: sessions for like a full body, Like you're making that
- 5:53Speaker 1: money back. It's more affordable to invest in this at
- 5:56Speaker 1: home laser haird device than to go and get laser
- 5:59Speaker 1: Wow in a salon. Mind boggly blue and you can
- 6:02Speaker 1: actually use it when you have a tan. Yes, that's
- 6:05Speaker 1: the biggest selling point. Especially that sale might change a
- 6:09Speaker 1: little bit because we're recording this on Black Friday, but
- 6:13Speaker 1: I think I bought it for six ninety nine, Like
- 6:16Speaker 1: it's all The Shavy Shop always has really good sales
- 6:19Speaker 1: and if you ever want a beauty device, I would
- 6:21Speaker 1: definitely check their first. But yeah, out of town obsessed.
- 6:26Speaker 1: I can't wait to go home and zip zip zip
- 6:29Speaker 1: zipity zip. Yeah. My cat's always like, what are you doing.
- 6:32Speaker 1: I'm like, don't look at the light next as I
- 6:36Speaker 1: lays a little love hat onto that's animal cruelty. That
- 6:39Speaker 1: was a test. That was a test and you all failed.
- 6:44Speaker 1: Not a test for me, test for you. You failed.
- 6:48Speaker 1: That's a little love and reference. All right, shell you
- 6:52Speaker 1: into our hot chicks and a CHICKI liszt. Let's do it, okay,
- 6:55Speaker 1: First item off the rank, first car off the rank.
- 6:57Speaker 1: What am I trying to stay off the ran? That's
- 6:59Speaker 1: the why I can always gown on yourself is fashion.
- 7:04Speaker 1: We pulled our audience and seventy five percent of women
- 7:07Speaker 1: feel the need to buy a whole new wardrobe by
- 7:11Speaker 1: the time summer comes around, and I'm not surprised by
- 7:16Speaker 1: that stat whatsoever. So in this segment, I'm gonna teach
- 7:22Speaker 1: you how to not hate the wardrobe you already own
- 7:25Speaker 1: and to thrift the pieces you don't because eighty four
- 7:28Speaker 1: percent of women agree that summer essentials are just marketing. Yeah,
- 7:32Speaker 1: which I was like, see, but also good girls, yeah, smart, Yeah,
- 7:36Speaker 1: we're all getting like marketing savvy, like to say, maybe
- 7:40Speaker 1: we help a little bit with that, but yeah, and
- 7:43Speaker 1: I would love your thoughts on these as well. Yeah, okay,
- 7:46Speaker 1: So number one is to give yourself grace. It's not you,
- 7:51Speaker 1: it's society. I saw you this Saul about this the
- 7:54Speaker 1: other day, and like this was maybe three weeks ago,
- 7:57Speaker 1: and I was just saying how I felt a bit
- 7:58Speaker 1: shit about myself and I was like blah blah blah,
- 8:00Speaker 1: and she was like, it's not you, it's just summer.
- 8:02Speaker 1: Like you're going into summer and like the changing of
- 8:05Speaker 1: the wardrobe and wearing different things, like you know, it's
- 8:09Speaker 1: just that transition. And I was like yeah, And it
- 8:13Speaker 1: then made me think like, fuck, we just need to
- 8:15Speaker 1: give ourselves a little bit more great So within that
- 8:18Speaker 1: as well, unfollow anyone that makes you feel self conscious
- 8:22Speaker 1: or bad about yourself. And to put this into your mind,
- 8:25Speaker 1: I had a little word or a little lesson to
- 8:27Speaker 1: give to you, and it is that you are the
- 8:30Speaker 1: Anna Wintur of your social media feed. Oh she's a
- 8:34Speaker 1: cut throat bitch and she will cut, snip and get
- 8:39Speaker 1: rid of anything that she doesn't like. And that's how
- 8:41Speaker 1: we need to treat our social media feeds. Any accounts
- 8:44Speaker 1: that discuss bodies as an esthetic or like how to
- 8:47Speaker 1: dress for your body shape or why everything you need
- 8:50Speaker 1: to wear needs to be flattering, like these are such
- 8:53Speaker 1: prehistoric two thousands ed culture vibes and I'm like, so
- 9:00Speaker 1: off it.
- 9:01Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know exactly what it is, but I
- 9:06Speaker 2: do feel like we've had a resurgence of some of
- 9:08Speaker 2: these things as well, especially in recent years and in
- 9:12Speaker 2: the last few weeks even there has been so much
- 9:15Speaker 2: commentary about women's bodies online, and you know, I've seen
- 9:21Speaker 2: different sort of perspectives on like why people are discussing
- 9:24Speaker 2: it and whatever it is. But everybody is different. And
- 9:28Speaker 2: I think if you ever see any type of content
- 9:31Speaker 2: that makes you feel lesser than or you find triggering,
- 9:35Speaker 2: be there an a winter or be the an a winter,
- 9:38Speaker 2: that's all.
- 9:40Speaker 1: That's all. Number two is to focus on fabrics. So
- 9:44Speaker 1: most people hate some addressing because they're wearing cute things
- 9:47Speaker 1: in suffocating fabrics. So your sweat triggers have your fashion
- 9:52Speaker 1: X right, So only where like linen, cotton, bamboo, silk,
- 9:59Speaker 1: like the matt silk, not the slippery silk because that'll stick,
- 10:04Speaker 1: you know. And then to avoid at all costs polyester
- 10:08Speaker 1: that's pretending to be breathable even if you feel it
- 10:10Speaker 1: you're like, oh it's so nice, don't fucking do it.
- 10:13Speaker 1: Don't do it. Tight denim, naneil, nanil, neil. And then
- 10:19Speaker 1: anything like stretchy, right, like anything stretchy because that's just
- 10:25Speaker 1: go in a stick and it's still not breathable. Like
- 10:28Speaker 1: you need the wind to be able to enter and exit,
- 10:32Speaker 1: you need a crossflow in you.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Yeah, in summer, I almost don't want any fabric touching
- 10:38Speaker 2: my skin.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Seriously, a body chon dress in summer. That's my hell loop.
- 10:42Speaker 1: My third is to build a fuck it's hot uniform.
- 10:47Speaker 1: So this is your capsule wardrobe of like five to
- 10:51Speaker 1: seven pieces that you can mix and match on the
- 10:53Speaker 1: days that you're like, oh my gosh, is this the
- 10:56Speaker 1: end that you're like, it's too fucking hot, your hair
- 10:59Speaker 1: sticking to the back of your neck, it's like a
- 11:01Speaker 1: bit tangled in your necklace. You just got caught on
- 11:04Speaker 1: the door with your handbag, and you're literally about to
- 11:08Speaker 1: like Mariah Carey whistle note from overstimulation, about to did
- 11:12Speaker 1: I just take you there? I'm so sorry, like I
- 11:15Speaker 1: was in Europe. So creating your fuck it's hot wardrobe
- 11:21Speaker 1: or uniform means that on those days you're like, I'm good,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I'm sortied, I'm not overwhelmed, I'm not hating my wardrobe.
- 11:28Speaker 1: I'm we've prepped for this. Yeah, you know. So for me,
- 11:32Speaker 1: this is like linen pants a baby doll dress because
- 11:36Speaker 1: flowy again the breeze, the breeze, and they're cute and
- 11:41Speaker 1: like an oversized linen shirt. Akaa, exactly what I'm wearing today. Yeah,
- 11:45Speaker 1: And I'm like, yes, it's hot, but I don't feel
- 11:48Speaker 1: like I'm being buried alive. Yeah. I think that's so key.
- 11:51Speaker 2: And if you can have a think about what these
- 11:54Speaker 2: particular items would be for a workday, like a weekend
- 11:58Speaker 2: day when you're socializing with friends, or an outfit for
- 12:01Speaker 2: a night out, because There's nothing worse than like when
- 12:04Speaker 2: you're getting ready for a friend's birthday or a Christmas
- 12:07Speaker 2: party and you're like, what the fuck am I supposed
- 12:09Speaker 2: to wear? Because you want to look cute, you want
- 12:11Speaker 2: to feel cute, and it's thirty five degrees.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Number four is to outsource the sparkle to accessories. So
- 12:19Speaker 1: a lot of people hate dressing for summer because it's
- 12:22Speaker 1: quote boring, which like, yeah, we kind of subscribe to
- 12:27Speaker 1: that as well. Winter is a lot more fun to
- 12:29Speaker 1: dress for.
- 12:29Speaker 2: You love a boot and a jacket, exactly a boat
- 12:33Speaker 2: and a jacket, a boat and jacket.
- 12:35Speaker 1: But you can outsource the pizazz to your accessories. So
- 12:39Speaker 1: think like a cool pair of statements, sunglasses, chunky earrings,
- 12:44Speaker 1: necklace layering like funky slides or colorful sneakers, like you
- 12:49Speaker 1: can layer on top that isn't layering with clothes, and
- 12:54Speaker 1: that's how you can kind of bring the sparkle to
- 12:56Speaker 1: it a little bit more and make it a bit
- 12:58Speaker 1: more fun and interest. There are so many cool brands
- 13:02Speaker 1: that you can incorporate into your summer wardrobe to give
- 13:05Speaker 1: it a little bit more personality. If you feel like
- 13:07Speaker 1: summer's boring, a couple of our favorites is Populist Men
- 13:11Speaker 1: Mountain and Moon really on Naked Advice. They've got great handbags.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Yeah, car made jewels for like really summery jewelry, Bixby
- 13:20Speaker 2: and Co. As well because I have really beautiful, like
- 13:22Speaker 2: colored stone pieces.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Les Specs also have been killing it in the sunglasses department. Yeah,
- 13:28Speaker 1: and they have like at the time of this record,
- 13:31Speaker 1: and they have like thirty percent off site words on that.
- 13:33Speaker 1: They're also not too expensive.
- 13:35Speaker 2: Yeah, they're quite affordable really Yeah. I also like Love
- 13:38Speaker 2: Lou and Lou Goldie for sunglasses too.
- 13:42Speaker 1: And number five, personally, my favorite tip to how to
- 13:45Speaker 1: not hate your summer wardrobe embrace the Adam Sandler. When
- 13:48Speaker 1: we went to Europe, I spent hours collating and collaging
- 13:52Speaker 1: cute beach outfits and day outfits and buying clothes to
- 13:55Speaker 1: have like the Pinterest board level of style. And guess what,
- 14:00Speaker 1: I still wore my Adam Sandler shorts shirt and baseball
- 14:04Speaker 1: cap every day because it was comfy. Because when you've
- 14:07Speaker 1: got sand all over it in bits that it shouldn't be.
- 14:11Speaker 1: Not gonna say what, but you can use your imagination.
- 14:15Speaker 1: You're not gonna want to be wearing that cute crochet
- 14:18Speaker 1: dress or like whatever it is exactly what I know.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Can I just say something controversial yet, Bray, I would
- 14:26Speaker 2: love you too, because I love a crochet outfit, I think,
- 14:32Speaker 2: but they're actually not good for summer. They're so heavy,
- 14:36Speaker 2: Like I feel so suffocated in a crochet outfit because I.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Feel like I'm wearing a weighted blanket.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Yeah, the material of a crochet is so heavy, and
- 14:44Speaker 2: if you're wearing it to the beach and it gets
- 14:46Speaker 2: even one in it, it's like even heavy.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like we need to stop dressing as
- 14:53Speaker 1: if we're getting papped, you know, not every single day
- 14:57Speaker 1: is a photo opportunity, and treating every single day like
- 14:59Speaker 1: that just takes the fun out of it, because if
- 15:01Speaker 1: you're constantly thinking about how you look and how you're dressed,
- 15:05Speaker 1: you're making your world this peak and just constantly looking
- 15:09Speaker 1: at yourself when you should be looking externally and having
- 15:11Speaker 1: a good time. Yeah, and yeah, Like I feel like
- 15:14Speaker 1: I just waste a lot of money on trying to
- 15:16Speaker 1: be like cute and every day be a photo op
- 15:18Speaker 1: when I'm like I'm Adam Sandler. Like, also, it's too
- 15:22Speaker 1: fucking hot to get hot you're not gonna want a photo,
- 15:27Speaker 1: I promise.
- 15:28Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 15:28Speaker 1: No one's looking at my crochet set. They're looking at
- 15:30Speaker 1: my fucking.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Soula you know, yeah, exactly.
- 15:35Speaker 1: Just kidding. Nobody else cares about that.
- 15:37Speaker 2: No.
- 15:38Speaker 1: But on that note, if you are wanting to kind
- 15:42Speaker 1: of expand your wardrobe, if maybe some of those things
- 15:44Speaker 1: that we mentioned, you know on in there aren't in
- 15:47Speaker 1: your wardrobe already, or you do want to buy a
- 15:49Speaker 1: few pieces, because that's fine. Like, I never want to
- 15:53Speaker 1: like demonize shopping to anyone. I feel like that's unrelatable.
- 15:57Speaker 1: But I did have the summer fashion trends that are
- 16:00Speaker 1: easy to thrift. This was an article published two Style Analytics,
- 16:04Speaker 1: and I also had a few more of my own
- 16:07Speaker 1: personal waves. So number one halt to tops. This trend
- 16:11Speaker 1: is up sixty nine percent in twenty twenty five and
- 16:14Speaker 1: a really easy to find thrift item with like really
- 16:18Speaker 1: cute patterns and prints from the two thousands, number two
- 16:22Speaker 1: thongs or flip flops. I don't really know if I
- 16:25Speaker 1: would thrift these myself. May neither.
- 16:28Speaker 2: Also, if you were to buy them new, they're not
- 16:29Speaker 2: super expensive.
- 16:30Speaker 1: Well you're gonna get that cossper wear out of them,
- 16:32Speaker 1: you know, but these are up one hundred and ninety
- 16:34Speaker 1: four percent this year. So rise of the humble, haavy
- 16:38Speaker 1: as you like to call them. The humble have shell
- 16:42Speaker 1: inspired pieces, So the word shell has jumped seventy three
- 16:46Speaker 1: percent since April. And we've seen lots of like shell bags, skirts, accessories,
- 16:52Speaker 1: and there's so many really pretty thrifting pieces that are
- 16:56Speaker 1: like shell brooches or like mother of Pearl or like
- 16:59Speaker 1: pearl and ellishments that you can find in thrift stores
- 17:01Speaker 1: are on deep hop beautiful. This one I'm not subscribing to,
- 17:06Speaker 1: but each to their own. Ballet sneaker is so Puma
- 17:11Speaker 1: and Louis Vauton released new versions this year, but again
- 17:14Speaker 1: an easy to source vintage option. Not my personal favorite,
- 17:19Speaker 1: but they're cute. I just wouldn't wear them myself, but
- 17:23Speaker 1: I love like the way other people style them same.
- 17:26Speaker 2: I think that they are really cute, and when I
- 17:29Speaker 2: see them in the store, I'm like, these are beautiful.
- 17:31Speaker 2: I love them, but I just know I wouldn't wear them.
- 17:33Speaker 1: And then finally from the Style Analytics article is gingham print.
- 17:36Speaker 1: So gingham shorts, capris baby doll dresses like a check print.
- 17:41Speaker 1: They're all over Pinterest and it's had a one hundred
- 17:44Speaker 1: and forty seven percent increase since last year. Some others
- 17:49Speaker 1: that are not on the list though, that I also
- 17:51Speaker 1: think are summer trends that are really easy to thrift.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Is like scarves, silk scarves and wearing it as a
- 17:57Speaker 1: belt is very trendy. Lace trims like silk slip dresses
- 18:03Speaker 1: with a lace trim, or tops like camis sequence everywhere,
- 18:09Speaker 1: Like I think the whole Verge Girl site, like look
- 18:11Speaker 1: at that, that's like all those like they're beautiful by
- 18:13Speaker 1: the way, no tin, no shade. And then also baby
- 18:17Speaker 1: doll dresses so cute. Yeah. So those are my tips
- 18:23Speaker 1: if you want to shop that are super easy to thrift,
- 18:26Speaker 1: and also how to kind of fall back in love
- 18:28Speaker 1: with the wardrobe that you have. I think it's a
- 18:30Speaker 1: little bit of a mentality vibe, as you know, we
- 18:33Speaker 1: addressed with the stat at the start that you know,
- 18:37Speaker 1: women feel the need to buy a whole new wardrobe.
- 18:39Speaker 1: But maybe it's like looking at why you feel that way,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and like I'm seeing this from someone who also feels
- 18:46Speaker 1: that way. Yeah, so I'm like this is for both
- 18:48Speaker 1: of us.
- 18:49Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's always away with these episodes, there's always
- 18:52Speaker 2: a reminder in there for us as well.
- 18:54Speaker 1: Yes there was a tha, not as a dough. That's
- 18:57Speaker 1: what my dad always used to say.
- 18:59Speaker 2: So we also pulled the chicks and seventy seven percent
- 19:03Speaker 2: said that they're confused about what skin care to use
- 19:05Speaker 2: or swap in in summer, which I also think is
- 19:10Speaker 2: really relatable because there is a lot of marketing around
- 19:13Speaker 2: that you should be completely overhauling your skincare routine within
- 19:19Speaker 2: each season, and I don't think that's true. That everybody
- 19:23Speaker 2: obviously has different skin concerns, and different skin concerns can
- 19:28Speaker 2: be exacerbated by external factors such as the weather. So
- 19:34Speaker 2: I think while you may feel pressure to do a
- 19:37Speaker 2: complete overhaul of your skincare routine, just ask yourself, like,
- 19:41Speaker 2: during the warmer months, what are the things that I
- 19:43Speaker 2: usually experience?
- 19:44Speaker 1: Am I a little bit more oily?
- 19:46Speaker 2: Or you know, am I getting breakouts a little bit
- 19:49Speaker 2: more because of that? Or you know, am I more
- 19:51Speaker 2: of a dry skin girly? And I'm not focusing on
- 19:54Speaker 2: that hydration in summer because I feel hot, so I
- 19:57Speaker 2: feel like I don't need to hydrate my skin. But overall,
- 20:00Speaker 2: if you are looking for some new skincare, or you
- 20:04Speaker 2: do have some different concerns. There are a couple of
- 20:08Speaker 2: different products swaps that you can do if you are
- 20:10Speaker 2: in the market for some new skincare for summer, an
- 20:12Speaker 2: oil free or gel moisturizer.
- 20:16Speaker 1: In winter, a lot.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Of us opt for maybe a heavier moisturize to get on, yeah,
- 20:21Speaker 2: because you're feeling.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Extra dry, lugging. Yeah.
- 20:24Speaker 2: Yeah, but in summer, hydration is still incredibly important. So
- 20:28Speaker 2: if you do feel like you do get a little
- 20:30Speaker 2: bit more oily, or you want something that feels a
- 20:32Speaker 2: little bit more lightweight because it is warm and you
- 20:34Speaker 2: don't want to feel it underneath your makeup, an oil
- 20:37Speaker 2: free or gel moisturizer.
- 20:38Speaker 1: You can also swap it for the morning in the
- 20:41Speaker 1: evening as well, so during the day in the morning
- 20:45Speaker 1: using a more lightweight moisturizer like a gel one, and
- 20:49Speaker 1: then in the evening you use your thicker moisturizer so
- 20:52Speaker 1: that it like really soaks him when you're asleep.
- 20:55Speaker 2: Yeah, totally, that's what I like to do. Yeah, Yeah,
- 20:58Speaker 2: I think that's definitely a good tip. And then that
- 20:59Speaker 2: way you're not wasting any products that you might have
- 21:01Speaker 2: bought for the cooler months. Yes, SPF. Obviously that's all.
- 21:06Speaker 2: You're an essential no matter what the season, but in
- 21:12Speaker 2: summer you may want to opt for an SPF that
- 21:15Speaker 2: has more of a lightweight texture, that doesn't feel as heavy,
- 21:19Speaker 2: and again is gonna sit nicer underneath your makeup. I
- 21:22Speaker 2: also saw a tip that when you're applying your SPF
- 21:26Speaker 2: to press it into your skin can help it soak
- 21:29Speaker 2: into your skin better under make up, Yeah, which I
- 21:33Speaker 2: was like, definitely going to be trying that because I
- 21:35Speaker 2: do feel like in summer, because I am a sweaty
- 21:38Speaker 2: girl and I sweat a lot on my face specifically,
- 21:41Speaker 2: that when I'm sort of just like slathering on the
- 21:45Speaker 2: SBF and then I put my makeup on straight away,
- 21:48Speaker 2: I do feel like it mixes with my foundation a
- 21:50Speaker 2: little bit because my skin is a little bit more
- 21:52Speaker 2: damp and it doesn't soak in as much.
- 21:54Speaker 1: I think. On that note as well, Hannah Collingwood English
- 21:58Speaker 1: has a really good video about how tinted sbfs are
- 22:02Speaker 1: not the only SBF you should be using. Because the
- 22:05Speaker 1: amount of tinted SBF you have to apply in order
- 22:08Speaker 1: to hit the correct amount of SVF, it ends up
- 22:13Speaker 1: looking like you went for a swim in like the
- 22:15Speaker 1: Willy Wonka pool of chocolate. You know. So she's got
- 22:20Speaker 1: a really good video. But basically, if you want to
- 22:22Speaker 1: use a tinted SBF or like a skin tint that
- 22:26Speaker 1: has SBF in it because you want a lightweight product,
- 22:29Speaker 1: there's nothing wrong with that, but you should still use
- 22:33Speaker 1: an SBF with that and use the correct amount of
- 22:37Speaker 1: application because otherwise you're not getting enough protection from the sun.
- 22:41Speaker 1: And so I thought that was a really good tip
- 22:42Speaker 1: from her. Yeah, and I remember seeing that vide when
- 22:45Speaker 1: I was like, well, okay, gatchu were about it. Thank you.
- 22:50Speaker 1: She's great.
- 22:50Speaker 2: Everyone should follow her. Yeah, for sure, we'll put a
- 22:53Speaker 2: link in the show notes. But another one that I
- 22:55Speaker 2: won't talk about too much because we spoke about it,
- 22:57Speaker 2: I think last week, but double cleansing again because your
- 23:00Speaker 2: skin is producing excess oil typically during this time, and
- 23:04Speaker 2: then you're probably wearing more sunscreen as well, because if
- 23:08Speaker 2: you're outside more, you're probably reapplying more throughout the day.
- 23:11Speaker 2: And then for a similar reason, introducing an exfoliant as well,
- 23:16Speaker 2: because your skin and your pores may be a little
- 23:19Speaker 2: bit more clogged because you are sweatier, you are using
- 23:22Speaker 2: more product, and you're just outside more in summer and
- 23:26Speaker 2: exposed to more of those external elements and then not
- 23:29Speaker 2: necessarily skin care, but like leaving conditions.
- 23:33Speaker 1: I was just I was just thinking that, Yeah, which.
- 23:38Speaker 2: So important for summer, especially if you're going to be swimming. Yeah,
- 23:42Speaker 2: because who has time to do their full like haircare
- 23:45Speaker 2: routine if you're going swimming every single day. Also, your
- 23:48Speaker 2: hair like air drives from the beach cuta. Yeah, it
- 23:52Speaker 2: does like your natural curl. If your natural curl or
- 23:56Speaker 2: hair formation or whatever it is, I feel like looks
- 24:00Speaker 2: so when you've been using a hair mask or a
- 24:02Speaker 2: leaving conditioner.
- 24:03Speaker 1: And I highly recommend the Javn Air dry cream or
- 24:08Speaker 1: the Way Wave Spray or the Garnia curl cream for summer.
- 24:14Speaker 1: These are all products that you can just scrunch into
- 24:16Speaker 1: wet hair to help build those beechy waves that aren't frizzy,
- 24:20Speaker 1: and you can just literally beach to curb, like in summer.
- 24:24Speaker 1: When we were away on holidays, I didn't touch my hair.
- 24:28Speaker 1: I packed my dice in the first year we went
- 24:30Speaker 1: and I was like, what, I'll bring this thing. Yeah, Like,
- 24:33Speaker 1: you don't need it if you've got a good leaving
- 24:35Speaker 1: conditioner or like a curl or wave cream so you
- 24:40Speaker 1: can just swim and you don't have to go. There's
- 24:42Speaker 1: nothing worse than going to the beach and having just
- 24:45Speaker 1: washed your hair and you're going, I'm not going to
- 24:46Speaker 1: put my head under because as soon as you get
- 24:48Speaker 1: in that ocean, you're putting your head under.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you're not living if you don't.
- 24:53Speaker 1: You have a resilience that I have never locked into.
- 24:56Speaker 1: My friend, teach me your ways.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Yeah, honestly, that is like some will power that. Yeah.
- 25:01Speaker 1: Respect, love, very easy tips. Yeah, because we're lazy. Yeah,
- 25:08Speaker 1: let's be honest. Lazy girls. Lazy girls. Summer makeup and
- 25:12Speaker 1: skincare tips. Yep, damn it. That was a really shit
- 25:15Speaker 1: time pop. Okay, all right, So next on my hot
- 25:20Speaker 1: chick checklist for summer is the anti overspending ritual that
- 25:27Speaker 1: I'm embracing because if you think you overspend in summer,
- 25:31Speaker 1: it's not just in your head and you didn't get
- 25:34Speaker 1: carried away. Overspending in summer is a seasonal behavioral pattern,
- 25:38Speaker 1: and it's actually backed by research. So we polled our
- 25:41Speaker 1: audience again and eighty seven percent of women always or
- 25:46Speaker 1: sometimes overspend to feel cooler, hotter, or funner in summer,
- 25:52Speaker 1: been there, done that, got the T shirt? You know,
- 25:57Speaker 1: I actually have the numbers for this. Aliens spend one
- 26:00Speaker 1: hundred and sixty six billion in peak season. Westpac data
- 26:05Speaker 1: X findings reveal summer spending generates sixteen million more transactions
- 26:13Speaker 1: than winter. That's not even the dollar amount of what
- 26:16Speaker 1: those transactions are, It's just how many times people are
- 26:18Speaker 1: tapa tap tapping that card. So like, let's say the
- 26:23Speaker 1: average spend amount is one hundred dollars, they go right.
- 26:28Speaker 1: There's a few reasons for this because when more impulsive
- 26:32Speaker 1: in warm weather, heat increases cognitive fatigue, and mental fatigue
- 26:37Speaker 1: lowers self control. We're more social in summer, which increases
- 26:42Speaker 1: the like micro spending, moments of drinks, ubers, outfits, snacks,
- 26:48Speaker 1: sounds like a good time, not gonna lie.
- 26:49Speaker 2: Yeah. Longer days also trick your brain into feeling like
- 26:54Speaker 2: you have more time and therefore more money.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Suck and the big one good weather makes us happy.
- 27:01Speaker 1: An optimism bias makes you underestimate future costs. It's like
- 27:05Speaker 1: a fuck it mentality, being like, fuck it, it's summer,
- 27:09Speaker 1: I'm gonna get that mejido, which get that mehido?
- 27:12Speaker 2: Huck, it's getting me, she's here, she's everywhere. I have
- 27:21Speaker 2: some helpful tips to help you not overspend it in summer.
- 27:25Speaker 1: This isn't to demonize your spending, Like summer is a really,
- 27:29Speaker 1: really great time to give yourself that much needed break.
- 27:32Speaker 1: We always say that week between Christmas and New Year's
- 27:35Speaker 1: is the best fucking week of the year. Don't go
- 27:40Speaker 1: too far to the other end of the spectrum where
- 27:42Speaker 1: you get over anxious with your spending and you're watching
- 27:45Speaker 1: like every single dollar and being like, no, I can't
- 27:48Speaker 1: get that wine because it's a dollar more expensive than
- 27:51Speaker 1: the other one. But the other one tastes like.
- 27:53Speaker 2: Not good, not the good, not very good. It's like
- 27:57Speaker 2: a red rose.
- 27:58Speaker 1: And you're like, oh my god, and sorry, I was
- 28:02Speaker 1: speaking from experience. Okay, so we're gonna create our hot
- 28:05Speaker 1: girl summer budget. Trying to apply your winter spending rules
- 28:10Speaker 1: to summer is like trying to wear a wool coat
- 28:12Speaker 1: to the beach. So we need to adjust it, right,
- 28:17Speaker 1: So shift your mindset and instead of fighting it, build
- 28:21Speaker 1: for it. Number One, increase your social budget by twenty
- 28:26Speaker 1: to thirty percent. By doing that, we're accounting for the
- 28:29Speaker 1: increase in social things that we do in summer, whether
- 28:31Speaker 1: it's going for Prince's Birthday, Christmas, the beach, whatever it is,
- 28:37Speaker 1: bottomless brunch. But in that you're going to decrease your
- 28:41Speaker 1: shopping budget by the same amount, because, as we've mentioned above,
- 28:46Speaker 1: let's be honest, you're not gonna wear the seventeen different
- 28:49Speaker 1: billion outfits. Re wear your cute dresses to drinks, wear
- 28:54Speaker 1: that one linen.
- 28:55Speaker 2: Shirt to the beach every day.
- 28:56Speaker 1: Like let's go back to being a little kid that
- 28:58Speaker 1: we just had the one beach dress and you would
- 29:00Speaker 1: just wear that one thing to the beach every time
- 29:02Speaker 1: you went, give it a rinse, hanging out were it
- 29:04Speaker 1: the next day. Make a dedicated category for summer spontaneity.
- 29:09Speaker 1: So make like a little automatic transfer that every day
- 29:12Speaker 1: you transfer fifteen dollars into an account, and then by
- 29:15Speaker 1: the time it gets to the weekend, you've got like
- 29:17Speaker 1: one hundred dollars to two hundred dollars to spend. If
- 29:19Speaker 1: you want it, you probably won't even use that much.
- 29:22Speaker 1: I could give me a challenge, No, I'm kidding, And
- 29:28Speaker 1: then pre choose two big ticket splurges and cap it there.
- 29:34Speaker 1: Give yourself like two items that you're like, I really
- 29:36Speaker 1: want to buy that, or I really want this this summer,
- 29:39Speaker 1: that's your treat. We were learning to say no to
- 29:42Speaker 1: ourselves because I think the life lesson for me, especially
- 29:48Speaker 1: this summer, is to remember that in summer you crave experience,
- 29:53Speaker 1: not consumption. We can fall into this thing of really
- 30:01Speaker 1: wanting to buy a feeling, and there are so many
- 30:05Speaker 1: things that come from summer that it's like, I want that.
- 30:08Speaker 1: That was such a fun night, so I need to
- 30:10Speaker 1: go out and they need to have drinks and do that.
- 30:12Speaker 1: Or I really enjoyed this and I'm going to feel
- 30:15Speaker 1: so good if I just buy that dress, and you're
- 30:17Speaker 1: just it's like a toxic loop because you're just going
- 30:20Speaker 1: to be chasing the feeling of summer through items when
- 30:23Speaker 1: really you just need to go outside and experience it. Yeah,
- 30:26Speaker 1: and just shift that mentality a little bit again, not
- 30:29Speaker 1: saying you're not allowed to buy anything in summer. I
- 30:31Speaker 1: have fun girl, love that, But it's just a good
- 30:36Speaker 1: thing to remember as well if you find yourself falling
- 30:39Speaker 1: into that little loop of being like this.
- 30:42Speaker 2: And also being conscious that that is a nationwide pattern.
- 30:45Speaker 2: Oh yeah, and probably a worldwide pattern. I'm sure that
- 30:49Speaker 2: people spend more money during summer. So just being conscious
- 30:52Speaker 2: of that and adjusting your budget accordingly. The next thing
- 30:56Speaker 2: on my summer checklist is facing your summer FOMO. For
- 31:00Speaker 2: a lot of people, summer is a really extremely busy
- 31:02Speaker 2: time of year, and it is when we have a
- 31:04Speaker 2: lot of different social engagements, Christmas parties and of your
- 31:08Speaker 2: catch ups with everybody going away on trips, and that's
- 31:12Speaker 2: really great and really exciting. But for some people that
- 31:17Speaker 2: can also be a bit anxiety inducing because you're like,
- 31:21Speaker 2: I've only got three months to really like grab the
- 31:24Speaker 2: ball by the horn. I have to say yes to everything,
- 31:26Speaker 2: I have to do everything. And I thought it was
- 31:29Speaker 2: really interesting because I saw an article that was published
- 31:32Speaker 2: in British Vogue earlier this year and the headline was
- 31:36Speaker 2: why does Summer make Me so anxious? And I thought
- 31:40Speaker 2: that was interesting because that's actually something that I really
- 31:42Speaker 2: relate to. Summer isn't my favorite season of the year.
- 31:46Speaker 2: I am definitely more of a winter girly. And in
- 31:48Speaker 2: this article she explored like a few different reasons as
- 31:51Speaker 2: to why that is. And she said that, well, she
- 31:54Speaker 2: found research that showed that ten percent of people actually
- 31:57Speaker 2: experience seasonal effect disorder in summer, which is usually associated
- 32:03Speaker 2: with winter. And I know that ten percent is obviously
- 32:07Speaker 2: a minority of people, but if you do feel that
- 32:10Speaker 2: ten percent of the world, it is still a really
- 32:13Speaker 2: big number.
- 32:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 32:14Speaker 2: So if you do feel anxious in summer, like you're
- 32:17Speaker 2: not alone, and there are a few different reasons for that.
- 32:19Speaker 2: One of the things that she did mention that we
- 32:22Speaker 2: touched on earlier is to do with like the season
- 32:25Speaker 2: changing and it getting warmer, and you you know, a
- 32:27Speaker 2: lot of us feel a little bit more like self
- 32:30Speaker 2: conscious about our bodies and whatnot because of that. So
- 32:34Speaker 2: that's definitely part of the experience. But another part of
- 32:38Speaker 2: it was she was saying that when she was talking
- 32:40Speaker 2: to her friends, a lot of people said that they
- 32:43Speaker 2: feel a lot of fomo in summer because there are
- 32:45Speaker 2: so many different social engagements happening and they either feel
- 32:52Speaker 2: like they have to say yes to everything or when
- 32:54Speaker 2: they don't, then they get fomo and they're like, fuck,
- 32:57Speaker 2: like I'm wasting summer.
- 32:58Speaker 1: Do you know what I think is can be a
- 33:01Speaker 1: bit of a trap with summer is you know how
- 33:04Speaker 1: New Year's is always a let down? YEA, Like New
- 33:07Speaker 1: Year's is like this, It's gonna be this big thing.
- 33:10Speaker 1: It's so exciting blah blah blah, and everyone's always like
- 33:13Speaker 1: I hate New Years, Like there's so much pressure on
- 33:15Speaker 1: it to be really really fun and had this big
- 33:17Speaker 1: thing and it kind of never really follows through on that.
- 33:21Speaker 1: I think there is like potentially a trap for summer
- 33:24Speaker 1: as a whole, just being like that you feel like
- 33:27Speaker 1: you need to have, like obviously with pop culture and
- 33:30Speaker 1: movies and books and all that stuff, it's like summer
- 33:33Speaker 1: is it, Like that's this is the three months where
- 33:36Speaker 1: we're gonna have fun, so you better have fun exactly.
- 33:39Speaker 1: And it's like but then it's like you are then
- 33:43Speaker 1: measuring your fun yeah, and putting pressure on it, and
- 33:47Speaker 1: I think then writing a fictional narrative of what fun is.
- 33:51Speaker 1: There's no yes or no to that exactly.
- 33:53Speaker 2: And if you're not spending every single weekend or night
- 33:56Speaker 2: after work doing something exciting and going to the beach
- 33:59Speaker 2: or going for drinks on a rooftop with friends, then
- 34:02Speaker 2: you're sort of letting yourself do yeah or like you yeah.
- 34:06Speaker 2: And she did also, you know, bring up the fact
- 34:09Speaker 2: that we've discussed on the podcast before, but that when
- 34:12Speaker 2: your body is experiencing anxiety or excitement, like sometimes your
- 34:16Speaker 2: brain can't tell the difference between the two. So she
- 34:18Speaker 2: was like, so some people are genuinely excited, but they
- 34:21Speaker 2: get that confused with anxiety. So part of that process
- 34:25Speaker 2: could also be that anxiety reappraisal where you're telling yourself, no,
- 34:31Speaker 2: I'm excited for these social plans like looking at you know,
- 34:34Speaker 2: your calendar and every single weekend is booked up. Yes,
- 34:38Speaker 2: that can be anxiety and juicing, but it could also
- 34:40Speaker 2: be exciting if you, you know, focus on some of
- 34:44Speaker 2: those positives, like this is a great opportunity for me
- 34:46Speaker 2: to catch up with my friends. Also, this isn't forever,
- 34:49Speaker 2: you know, maybe it is just for the month of
- 34:51Speaker 2: December and then I can go back to, you know,
- 34:53Speaker 2: having a little bit more balance after that. But I
- 34:56Speaker 2: do think that also this is something that is so
- 34:58Speaker 2: personal to everyone and just form my that you don't
- 35:00Speaker 2: have to say yes to every single thing. And if
- 35:03Speaker 2: you do say no to one drinks, like, it's not
- 35:06Speaker 2: the end of it.
- 35:06Speaker 1: There will be another. There will be another drinks.
- 35:09Speaker 2: Yeah, there will be another summer barbecue. It's okay, yeah, yeah, okay.
- 35:12Speaker 1: My final Hot Chick Summer checklist, and that's one I'm
- 35:17Speaker 1: really excited for. This is my like number one actionable
- 35:21Speaker 1: for this summer is to embrace the nostalgic summer. Oh yes,
- 35:25Speaker 1: I remember seeing TikTok.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But it was all these photos of like nineties Christmas
- 35:33Speaker 2: and early two thousands Christmas, and like the text was
- 35:35Speaker 2: like realizing that I'm never going to experience a Christmas
- 35:38Speaker 2: like this ever again.
- 35:39Speaker 1: And I literally was like, cool, that's really good, thank you,
- 35:44Speaker 1: because obviously, like I'm very very lucky to have had
- 35:48Speaker 1: such really amazing Christmases growing up in like the nineties
- 35:51Speaker 1: and the early two thousands, and there was just such
- 35:53Speaker 1: magic in that and then also summer holidays, and you know,
- 35:57Speaker 1: I look back on that so fondly, and I think
- 36:00Speaker 1: the sparkle of nostalgia and the lens of nostalgia is
- 36:04Speaker 1: always a really really beautiful one to have on. And
- 36:07Speaker 1: if you can have those lenses on, it's always a
- 36:10Speaker 1: very privileged and lucky thing I feel to be able
- 36:14Speaker 1: to look back and be like, well, those were the days,
- 36:16Speaker 1: those are the good old days, right. And there was
- 36:19Speaker 1: a comment in that video that really kind of helped
- 36:23Speaker 1: me like break the sadness of like wanting Christmases or
- 36:27Speaker 1: someers like that back and it was that how lucky
- 36:31Speaker 1: are we to miss the days like that because we
- 36:36Speaker 1: learned how to do them for someone else. So it's
- 36:40Speaker 1: like someone making like summers special for you or Christmas
- 36:45Speaker 1: is special for you means that you learnt how to
- 36:48Speaker 1: do that for someone else, but also maybe even yourself. Yeah.
- 36:52Speaker 1: So like whether or not you have kids, or whether
- 36:55Speaker 1: or not you're in your twenties now or thirties, you
- 36:58Speaker 1: now know how to embrace those moments and you can
- 37:01Speaker 1: build a nostalgic summer for yourself. So I have a list.
- 37:06Speaker 1: I'm a list bitch. Things to add to your nostalgic
- 37:09Speaker 1: summer checklist. One, watch the movie The Sandlot Kids. Yeah,
- 37:17Speaker 1: who didn't watch that when they were little and it
- 37:20Speaker 1: was summer summer? Yeah, what was your like nostalgic summer movie.
- 37:24Speaker 1: It's called Now and Then. Oh it's really really good. Yeah,
- 37:28Speaker 1: love that. Number two Zuper Duopers. Get a big pack
- 37:32Speaker 1: of Zuper Doopers, put them in the freezer. Yep. Number three,
- 37:36Speaker 1: create a Christmas tradition. So if you've moved out of home,
- 37:39Speaker 1: I think one of the hardest things is like not
- 37:41Speaker 1: having that that Christmas at home and all that stuff
- 37:45Speaker 1: that creating a Christmas tradition that you either do with
- 37:48Speaker 1: your roommates or your friend or your partner or by yourself.
- 37:52Speaker 1: Whatever that is is really really special and fun. Every
- 37:56Speaker 1: Christmas Eve, my partner and I get a little bit
- 38:00Speaker 1: wine drunk, eat prawns and watch love actually and we
- 38:03Speaker 1: do like a little present and that's like our tradition
- 38:06Speaker 1: and it's really really nice. It makes me feel like
- 38:09Speaker 1: so nostalgic and christmasly. Yeah.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Number four physical media, Yeah, buy magazines, get a crossword puzzle,
- 38:20Speaker 2: a physical camera, a second hand.
- 38:22Speaker 1: Book, right in a diary. I think we don't like
- 38:25Speaker 1: writing in a diary because we feel like we're writing
- 38:27Speaker 1: a book and we need to read it back. We'll
- 38:29Speaker 1: keep it. You don't actually have to do that. And
- 38:31Speaker 1: then finally is to create a nostalgic summer playlist. And
- 38:35Speaker 1: I think a lot of these already exist, so you
- 38:37Speaker 1: can go back and be like Summer two thousand and four,
- 38:40Speaker 1: there's one that's really good. It's like Summer in New
- 38:43Speaker 1: York City in two thousand and three. That one's, yeah,
- 38:46Speaker 1: that was really good. Find an Aussie one. Get some
- 38:48Speaker 1: thirsty murk in there.
- 38:50Speaker 2: Yeah, that is an absolute essential that you just have
- 38:55Speaker 2: an orgasm. No, I had like a coming to Jesus moment.
- 38:58Speaker 2: Oh okay, same thing, same thing?
- 39:00Speaker 1: Yeah, really yeah, it's yeah. Wow, we're an absolute hit. Yeah.
- 39:07Speaker 1: What else needs to be on the Nostalgic Summer playlist?
- 39:10Speaker 1: Should we make one? Yeah, let's make We can make one,
- 39:12Speaker 1: but tell me what will be on yours?
- 39:13Speaker 2: The thong song is always online, and also Pure Shores
- 39:16Speaker 2: by All Saints is always on, Like, oh, is that
- 39:18Speaker 2: the one that's.
- 39:19Speaker 1: Like that one?
- 39:23Speaker 2: No, the one that's like I don't want to sing arise, No,
- 39:28Speaker 2: but I love that one alight.
- 39:30Speaker 1: That's probably more rest my case. Yeah.
- 39:34Speaker 2: Yeah, look up like the So Fresh from two thousand
- 39:39Speaker 2: and two.
- 39:40Speaker 1: That's the summer amazing. You can probably just look up
- 39:42Speaker 1: all the so Fresh playlists on Spotify or Apple Music.
- 39:47Speaker 1: Hit it. Yeah, fucky, I'm going to do that on
- 39:50Speaker 1: the drive home. Nice. Yeah, nice.
- 39:53Speaker 2: But we can make our own and let us know
- 39:55Speaker 2: in the comments what you chicks want to be on it?
- 39:57Speaker 1: Yeah, group project project. Well that's a wrap for our
- 40:02Speaker 1: Hot Chicks summer checklist. I'm really excited, Neil. I want
- 40:06Speaker 1: to go for a swim. Oh my god, we should
- 40:08Speaker 1: do that this afternoon anyway, thank you chicks having us
- 40:11Speaker 1: in your ear holes. We absolutely little to be here.
- 40:14Speaker 1: We will be going on break this summer, but we'll
- 40:16Speaker 1: have some from the Vault episodes coming out for you.
- 40:20Speaker 1: But we're not going on break yet. I'm just warming
- 40:22Speaker 1: you up to the idea. Yeah, exactly, we're edging you.
- 40:29Speaker 1: I like it. Thanks having us in your ear holes.
- 40:34Speaker 2: I'm sorry
