SPEAKER_01: Your relationship, of course, with your significant other, and your relationship with your kids, and your relationship with your family, and your relationship at work, in your social life, and quite honestly, and most importantly, your relationship to yourself.

SPEAKER_01: And so I take the time to write it ahead of time so that I can kind of just get focused in and what I want to share and what I want to share about.

SPEAKER_01: And unlike what I said there, you know, sometimes you feel alone, even though there's people around you.

SPEAKER_01: Well, when I was in super deep aloneness, there was literally zero people around me, which made my path a lot harder than most.

SPEAKER_01: And I know I shared on another podcast the other day about how I'm being guided back into silence, and my voice kept saying, No, please, dear God, don't make me do that.

SPEAKER_01: You know, like, and I was interpreting the guidance as silence back into solitude, like isolation.

SPEAKER_01: Now, my higher power just wanted me to take my headphones off every once in a while and sit in silence.

SPEAKER_01: And we're going to talk about silence more.

SPEAKER_01: It's a really powerful thing, a lot of ways to get there, and what you're going to experience once you're there.

SPEAKER_01: And why is that important?

SPEAKER_01: Because the most important relationships that you have are going to be the relationship you have with the depths of yourself.

SPEAKER_01: I call it the inner self, or in my world, I call it the inner child.

SPEAKER_01: And equally, if not even grander, the relationship you have with a power grander than yourself.

SPEAKER_01: A lot of people call it Jesus, a lot of people call it Buddha, a lot of people call it spirit, I call it divinity.

SPEAKER_01: Don't care what you call it, but that's all part of the we.

SPEAKER_01: That's why I name the we podcast we, the individual human, higher self, human self, inner self, the we, and connecting together through liked consciousness.

SPEAKER_01: And when consciousness changes, there is a tremendous amount of emotional challenge because the awakening of the feminine side of self, which is happening to humanity more and more, is when that spiritual sense of you, which is in the female side of yourself, awakens, the emotional side of you is also there in the female side of yourself.

SPEAKER_01: I shared before the Tuesday episode about some friends of mine that were going through some pretty tough times.

SPEAKER_01: And I have to tell you, when I heard about it, that they're up in Connecticut and my friends, the woman is the person I support.

SPEAKER_01: Her husband was in recovery for over close to three years and kind of a blue-collar hard worker, worked as backside off his entire life.

SPEAKER_01: And the other day he went to a bar and drank.

SPEAKER_01: And I have to say, when I first got that news, I was very empathetic.

SPEAKER_01: Empathetic because I could see him sitting there at the bar hoping that the alcohol was going to fix him.

SPEAKER_01: And I was very compassionate with my friend because she's just brokenhearted.

SPEAKER_01: Well, today I'm not empathetic anymore.

SPEAKER_01: I'm angry.

SPEAKER_01: So note to self, caveat to anybody listening.

SPEAKER_01: I literally said in this last podcast, I said, you know, the world doesn't demonize alcoholics.

SPEAKER_01: Stereotypical vanilla alcoholic, nothing special, rage a holic, crybaby alcoholic.

SPEAKER_01: You know the problem with that is that so many people and from the codependent side are so vulnerable, they're hurting, they're already confused, and they start believing it.

SPEAKER_01: I keep telling my friend, get home because they're out of town, get home, get safe, and grieve.

SPEAKER_01: And I just keep sharing the truth with her that he's a drunk, he's acting out, he's blaming you, and I'm sorry, but you don't have that much power to control another human being.

SPEAKER_01: I find out later, four or five weeks ago, he decided to stop going to meetings.

SPEAKER_01: That's why he drank.

SPEAKER_01: And so I'm gonna challenge everybody on this phone call right now.

SPEAKER_01: Give it to your mom, give it to his dad, give it to anybody except get it out of his hands.

SPEAKER_01: And oh, yeah, by the way, Miss Self-centered doesn't care about anybody.

SPEAKER_01: The drunk doesn't work, he's between jobs, he doesn't work, and he makes no money.

SPEAKER_01: He's literally spending her money to go drink and blaming her as if she's the hurtful one.

SPEAKER_01: An alcoholic finds God in the center of AA meetings.

SPEAKER_01: But the bottom line is codependence kills character, it kills esteem, it kills worth.

SPEAKER_01: What this particular episode is really about is relationships.

SPEAKER_01: And in that particular case, right there, I've got a man who's taking out his alcoholism, and the only way he's ever gonna not kill himself, he has to create some relationship with a power greater than himself.

SPEAKER_01: My friend on the other side, the only way she gets out of that codependent nonsense is she's got to create a relationship with the depths of herself, with her little girl, with her teenager, the inner sense of self.

SPEAKER_01: And if you really understand what relationships are all about, and I'm gonna talk about this in greater length throughout this entire episode here today, and at the end of more towards the end of the episode, I'm gonna talk about the spiritual evolution of what relationships really are.

SPEAKER_01: If you go back to the concept that you are a spirit having a human experience, a spirit having a human experience.

SPEAKER_01: I'm not talking about your physical, I'm talking about the spiritual essence of you.

SPEAKER_01: That's what God is: an everlasting experience, always has been, always will be.

SPEAKER_01: And each person has to create their own definition of what God is, a true God is for you.

SPEAKER_01: And the spiritual essence that's in you is the experience that causes life, literally.

SPEAKER_01: That carries you around is kind of the most dead part of you that there is energetically, spiritually, emotionally, physically, mentally, the physical part.

SPEAKER_01: That's what causes us to believe we are separate.

SPEAKER_01: But in reality, spiritually, we're all the same, created in God's image.

SPEAKER_01: And I could go into some biblical stuff, not that I'm a Bible reader, but where I really came up with the whole idea of the concept of the we is after I had my spiritual experience, which I'll talk about later, September 22nd, 2022, I start hearing a book called Unequally Yoked.

SPEAKER_01: And unequally yoked is a very common biblical phrase.

SPEAKER_01: And what it means in the Bible, kind of in a general sense, unequally yoked means is if you don't have the same religious beliefs, then communion in a marriage isn't going to really work.

SPEAKER_01: A Jew and a Christian is probably not going to be the best combination.

SPEAKER_01: And an atheist and a Christian, probably not the best combination for relationship.

SPEAKER_01: And I get that, I do.

SPEAKER_01: But unequally yoked, where it comes into Joe's perspective, is some people are growing, some people aren't.

SPEAKER_01: When you first come together, you're at the same place emotionally, physically, spiritually.

SPEAKER_01: Some people are emotionally growing, so spiritually expanding, and other people aren't.

SPEAKER_01: And a lot of times it's their partner.

SPEAKER_01: So the vacancy you fill inside, the openness you experience inside, the aloneness you're having inside, we can fill that aloneness now through a creation of a relationship with a relationship power than you're higher than yourself, a higher power.

SPEAKER_01: And the bitch of that is if you've got a family member that says, well, the only reason you're doing all that is because your partner, the family member's supporting your death warrant, your death wish.

SPEAKER_01: From that position, when you really look at the significant relationships in your life, your wife or husband, your kids, your siblings, your parents, your boss at work, those primary relationships you have in your church group, your sports group, the people that are around you a significant amount of time, those relationships are truly spiritually in your life to help you get to know you better.

SPEAKER_01: Well, the way humanity is shifting, and the way that consciousness is moving, and the way that things are getting different, is that in all relationships, you are eventually going to be out in the world sharing your overflow in the world at a job, in a relationship, in a new career, helping in fundraising, whatever it is.

SPEAKER_01: And you will get the sensation of accomplishment in the sharing, with no need of receiving.

SPEAKER_01: Now, of course, you put enough sharing out there, you're going to get plenty back.

SPEAKER_01: But you won't be doing the relationship, whatever it is, work, partnership, creativity, whatever, you won't be doing it with the intent of receiving back.

SPEAKER_01: I'm telling it goodbye, and I'm I'm gonna try to survive doing selling nutritional products, and I'm gonna try to survive doing that.

SPEAKER_01: And how I made the decision, literally, how I made this internal decision, it's all in my head.

SPEAKER_01: I'm thinking, because we didn't make that much money.

SPEAKER_01: I remember thinking, what the hell do we need to feed 10,000 people on a weekend to make any money?

SPEAKER_01: It was an ever-chasing event of never feeling good enough, never being enough, my old world, the unfun.

SPEAKER_01: Well, that's how I made my first decision of really walking out of that world.

SPEAKER_01: And I made the decision to walk out because my external world was all full of drugs and alcohol and that whole craziness.

SPEAKER_01: And that's what I'm telling my friend now get home, get safe, go away, get away from your partner for a little bit, go stay the stay a month with your sister or brother, whoever she's going to.

SPEAKER_01: Because then her current drunk husband, and I'm gonna be mean, I'm gonna be ugly because a drunk acting out makes me extremely angry.

SPEAKER_01: Before, the only consequence of Joe not making money was Joe was hungry.

SPEAKER_01: Always had a place to live.

SPEAKER_01: So there really wasn't a whole lot of fear of survival.

SPEAKER_01: Because if I was hungry, I was hungry, but it was me with me.

SPEAKER_01: Well, in this case, now I'm married and working, and she had a good job.

SPEAKER_01: And you know, we cohabitated, and I was making decent money, and she was making decent money, neither one of us making a lot, but it was good, it was solid.

SPEAKER_01: And then I remember thinking, and I was trying to set a pace of how my life was going to unfold.

SPEAKER_01: And I kept saying to myself, you know, because I knew we both kind of knew, and she's said this story too, so I'm not speaking out of turn, that literally when we met each other and we hung out, we knew we were going to get married.

SPEAKER_01: It was just she was at that place early 30s, I was at that place early 40s.

SPEAKER_01: We had a lot in common.

SPEAKER_01: This is prior to kids, and we kind of knew.

SPEAKER_01: And I remember saying to myself, I want to be a boyfriend before I'm a fiance.

SPEAKER_01: I want to get used to being in a serious relationship with a woman so I can freaking figure it out.

SPEAKER_01: I hadn't even been around anybody in a decade.

SPEAKER_01: And we accomplished that pretty good, you know, however long, I don't remember.

SPEAKER_01: And then I remember saying, I want to be a fiance for a while, you know, do the proposal thing and get married, the engagement, before I'm a husband.

SPEAKER_01: More because she had some tragedies in her life, which delayed our marriage multiple months, which was fine.

SPEAKER_01: And that was the one that my oldest son came to me.

SPEAKER_01: Well, I was in a waffle house, sweating, like praying, sweating, confused, really scared.

SPEAKER_01: And in that moment, I was already, I wasn't wounded, I wasn't hurting anymore.

SPEAKER_01: I started praying, a prayer, a chant, uh, an asking, dear God, guide me.

SPEAKER_01: And in that moment, I felt it.

SPEAKER_01: It was like up to that moment, I was so terrified because I was trying to figure it out all by myself.

SPEAKER_01: And that's when I did that right there, I tell people all the time, I'd say it in my big presentations all the time, you know, people are very familiar to ask God for help and support if there's an accident or somebody's dying or there's injury or there's something that you're scared of.

SPEAKER_01: Dear God, help my grandmother make it.

SPEAKER_01: But what I learned in that moment is that you can help, you can ask your higher power, in this case I call it God, anytime at any place, for anything, every minute of every second of every day.

SPEAKER_01: Right now, whatever you're doing, right now, you can start asking your higher power to please guide you.

SPEAKER_01: And when it's in the asking, there's an internal experience that starts waking up inside.

SPEAKER_01: So as a child grows, then you go from six, seven, eight, nine, where you're still 100% dependent typically on your parents, will eventually reach that next phase where independence starts happening, and that's where you become a teenager.

SPEAKER_01: But a lot of times what unconscious people do, especially teenagers, they are attracted to the place where an external environment can fill their internal void.

SPEAKER_01: That's why the whole TikTok, the likes, and all that stuff on social media has become such a social norm.

SPEAKER_01: The only child that needs a lot of clicks is somebody who didn't get a lot of approval when they're young.

SPEAKER_01: Here's the other challenge.

SPEAKER_01: When you're real little, when you're eight, nine, ten, or eleven, and you get punished for saying no, especially if you're a girl, you get punished for saying no.

SPEAKER_01: Who do you think you are, little girl?

SPEAKER_01: Let alone if the punishment isn't just verbal abuse but physical abuse?

SPEAKER_01: Then you wonder why when she's 16 and she's in an experience that she knows she shouldn't be with a boy who's too aggressive and she can't say no?

SPEAKER_01: It's because at 11 she got her ass kicked for saying no from the unconscious parents.

SPEAKER_01: Am I blaming anybody?

SPEAKER_01: No, but I'm making you aware you have to teach your kids that no is okay, and you'll always be there for them.

SPEAKER_01: You know why so many kids can't say no when they're out drinking?

SPEAKER_01: Because if they say no to their friends, they don't have a parent to come pick them up.

SPEAKER_01: That's the reason, 95% of the time.

SPEAKER_01: So I can tell you, and you have to let your kids start driving sooner or later.

SPEAKER_01: That's where it's up to you to set the boundaries.

SPEAKER_01: In the beginning, he could basically drive up one street, right between the two cities, city of Suwannee, City of Buford.

SPEAKER_01: And for a good year, that's what he did.

SPEAKER_01: I never had any issues.

SPEAKER_01: It wasn't until he was 17 and a half that I let him drive to his baseball by himself.

SPEAKER_01: Because his baseball was an hour and 15 minutes away.

SPEAKER_01: And I have to tell you, that's a great freedom for me because five days a week when I'd take him to baseball, that was hard.

SPEAKER_01: Was I grateful that he did it afterwards?

SPEAKER_01: So many of your sponge when you were a little kid that wasn't filled by emotional support as a child, then you create wounds, you act out the wounds, and the layer after layer after layer after layer just continues to get bigger.

SPEAKER_01: Those you hear those voices in your head, but the source of those voices are in your heart.

SPEAKER_01: And when you embrace the heart and the emotion by writing down the voices in your head, eventually the only thing left is that small, quiet voice.

SPEAKER_01: As we become adults, move into college, the next place after that, from the college age on, I call it just human creation.

SPEAKER_01: You're going out there in a place of life, and you're trying to figure life out.

SPEAKER_01: You're now an adult, you now have your boundaries, you kind of know what's right and wrong.

SPEAKER_01: And you go into school or trades or whatever you're trying to figure out, use those four or five years to figure out what you're going to do for the rest of your life to have income.

SPEAKER_01: And that typically lasts from the 20s to the 30, 40 years old, most of us, 50 or 60.

SPEAKER_01: But it's in that phase right there, where then we go out, we pursue partnership, we pursue a job career, we pursue volunteer work, we try to be an active member of society, most of us.

SPEAKER_01: Now, for the kids and the people that never got what they needed as a little boy and then started acting out as a teenager and never had any boundaries.

SPEAKER_01: By the time you become a young adult, the behavior patterns that you're doing at 17, you're still doing at 27.

SPEAKER_01: Those are the people that literally then live a life and they wonder why they can never get ahead.

SPEAKER_01: Most stop the behaviors they did of crazy in high school and college when they get out of college.

SPEAKER_01: They move into the production side of life, human creation.

SPEAKER_01: He did the same thing.

SPEAKER_01: He's doing the exact same behavior pattern at 55 that he did at 15, 25, 35, and 45.

SPEAKER_01: When she's around you, she feels safe.

SPEAKER_01: She needs you to feel safe, you need her to feel great, and you call it love.

SPEAKER_01: Well, if we're gonna dissect that, her need for you to be around to feel safe is her disconnect from God.

SPEAKER_01: Your need for her to be around for you to feel good is your disconnect for your little kid.

SPEAKER_01: So basically, marriage is created around that, if we're gonna be technical about it.

SPEAKER_01: It's codependent on one side and it's addiction on the other.

SPEAKER_01: Now, do people get married like that and live a very happy life for 30 years?

SPEAKER_01: Yes, you do, and it's wonderful.

SPEAKER_01: It's not something missing, it's because you're growing spiritually and emotionally, and your partner's not.

SPEAKER_01: Because if your partner was also growing at the same rate, at the same pace, in the same style, in the same whatever, there wouldn't be anything missing.

SPEAKER_01: But when one person grows and the other person doesn't grow, that's what happens.

SPEAKER_01: I heard this woman say, I was married for 18 years and I launched my kids and I sold my business.
