- 0:25How is this system changing the landscape of AI research?
- 0:29Let's break it all down and uncover the details behind this
- 0:33project. So in a nondescript industrial
- 0:36park southwest of Memphis, TN, on the banks of the Mississippi
- 0:41River, lies a facility that houses the largest AI training
- 0:46supercomputer on Earth. Dubbed Colossus by its creator
- 0:51Elon Musk, this massive computing powerhouse was
- 0:55constructed by XAI, Musk's artificial intelligence startup.
- 1:00Built within a repurposed Electrolux manufacturing
- 1:03facility, Colossus stands as a testament to Musk's vision
- 1:08pushing the boundaries of AI development.
- 1:11Now, why Memphis, would you ask? Well, choosing Memphis for this
- 1:14technological feat might seem unconventional, especially when
- 1:18Austin, TX has emerged as a hub of innovation for Elon Musk's
- 1:22companies. However, the decision boiled
- 1:25down to practicality. The location offered the right
- 1:28building with enough space and infrastructure to launch
- 1:32Colossus in record time. Musk's team completed
- 1:36construction in an astonishing 122 days.
- 1:41Now urgency and scale were at their peak during the
- 1:47construction. Now inside the industrial
- 1:49facility, Colossus hosts over 100,000 NVIDIA HGX H100 GPU's
- 1:58interconnected through an ultrafast fiber optic network.
- 2:02These GPU's, considered the current state-of-the-art for AI
- 2:06training, are supported by exabytes of data storage.
- 2:09This level of computational power allows for unparalleled
- 2:13capabilities, setting Colossus apart as the most advanced AI
- 2:18system in existence. Jensen Wang, CEO of NVIDIA,
- 2:23described Colossus as easily the fastest supercomputer on the
- 2:27planet. While other supercomputers may
- 2:29take years to assemble, Colossus's swift development
- 2:33ensures it remains at the cutting edge of AI research.
- 2:37Now they used A3 tiered approach for this.
- 2:40Colossus uses a raised floor data hall design that splits its
- 2:44infrastructure into three different levels.
- 2:48The power systems are housed above, the GPU clusters occupy
- 2:52the middle, and the cooling mechanisms are below.
- 2:56This three tiered structure enables efficient maintenance
- 2:59and operation, crucial for a machine of this scale.
- 3:03The facility contains four data halls, each equipped with 25,000
- 3:09GPU's. These are paired with storage
- 3:11units and a high speed network to facilitate data exchange.
- 3:15And every GPU cabinet has its own independent cooling and
- 3:19monitoring systems, ensuring minimal downtime.
- 3:22Technicians can service individual units without
- 3:25disrupting the entire cluster, a feature unique to XAIS design.
- 3:31Now, cooling such a large scale computing system is no small
- 3:35feat though. Colossus employs an advanced
- 3:37liquid cooling system, using water to regulate the
- 3:40temperature of the GPU's. A network of pipes circulates
- 3:44water through the facility, drawing heat away from the
- 3:47hardware, and the water is then sent to chillers outside.
- 3:51Worst temperature is reduced before being recirculated.
- 3:54The system doesn't really add cold water.
- 3:56As long as the water is cooler than the GPU's, it effectively
- 4:00absorbs the heat. And each GPU rack is equipped
- 4:04with its own cooling system, complete with colored lights for
- 4:07monitoring. A blue light indicates normal
- 4:10operation, while red light signals a malfunction, allowing
- 4:13for quick and precise maintenance.
- 4:16Now, each rack in Colossus houses 8 NVIDIA H1 GPU's paired
- 4:22with 16 CPUs to manage data and run the operating system.
- 4:27The GPUs handle the heavy lifting of AI training, while
- 4:31CPUs prepare the data in managed system operations.
- 4:34The setup ensures seamless processing of the exabytes of
- 4:37data stored within the facility. Now a system with this magnitude
- 4:42demands immense power though. To ensure stable energy
- 4:45delivery, XAI uses Tesla Megapack battery units.
- 4:50The batteries act as intermediaries, drawing power
- 4:52from the grid and discharging it into the supercomputer.
- 4:57This setup eliminates millisecond variations in grid
- 4:59power that could disrupt the training, providing a consistent
- 5:04energy that's needed for optimal performance.
- 5:08Now, Elon Musk has very ambitious plans for classes,
- 5:11aiming to double his GPU count to 200,000 in a few months.
- 5:17Such an expansion would solidify its position as the most
- 5:20powerful AI system on the planet, potentially outpacing
- 5:24competitors like Open AI and Google's Gemini.
- 5:28A report suggests that Open AI CEO Sam Altman has already
- 5:32expressed concerns about Musk's increased access to
- 5:35computational resources. A building colossus isn't cheap,
- 5:39though. XAI recently raised $6 billion
- 5:43in venture capital, bringing its valuation to $24 billion.
- 5:48Being that's only one year old, and Musk is now reportedly
- 5:52seeking additional funding to elevate XA Is valuation to 40
- 5:57billion, positioning it as a major player in AI.
- 6:01Now, at the heart of XA is endeavors is Crock.
- 6:05Crock is an AI model designed to evolve far beyond a chatbot.
- 6:10Recently, Crock was updated to include vision capabilities,
- 6:14allowing it to analyze images alongside text.
- 6:17Feature is now integrated into X, giving premium users the
- 6:21ability to query images for detailed analysis and context.
- 6:26Now, Musk envisions Grok is a stepping stone toward artificial
- 6:31general intelligence, which is a concept that involves creating
- 6:35AI systems capable of performing any intelligence task that
- 6:40humans can do. Colossus is designed to train
- 6:43and refine such a system, utilizing its immense
- 6:46computational power to advance AI capabilities, and Musk has
- 6:50described AGI as a tool to unlock the mysteries of the
- 6:54universe and the very nature of our own existence.
- 6:58However, he has also acknowledged the potential
- 7:01risks, emphasizing the need for safeguards to prevent AI from
- 7:05going rogue. Artificial General Intelligence
- 7:08represents a long held ambition in the field of artificial
- 7:12intelligence, creating machines that match or exceed human
- 7:15cognitive abilities. Now, unlike current AI systems

- 7:51like writing music or inventing new technologies, analytical
- 7:55tasks such as solving complex equations, and problem solving

- 8:08about the universe in advancing humanity's understanding of our

- 8:24Current EI systems, including Grok, rely on large scale data
- 8:28sets of text, images, and video to learn patterns, generate
- 8:31outputs. The sheer scale of Colossus
- 8:33enables these systems to process and synthesize vast amounts of
- 8:37data, a crucial step towards creating machines with
- 8:42generalized reasoning capabilities.
- 8:44And the recent upgrade to Croc, which introduced the vision
- 8:46capabilities, is a huge milestone in the path to AGI.
- 8:50By integrating the image analysis with text processing,
- 8:54it's developing systems that can handle multimodal inputs, an
- 8:57important feature of generalized intelligence.
- 9:00For instance, a human can seemingly combine visual and
- 9:04textual information to draw conclusions, and Grok is now
- 9:07moving closer to mimicking this ability.
- 9:11And despite his promise, though, the development of AGI is
- 9:14fraught with challenges and ethical considerations.
- 9:17Musk has been vocal about the potential dangers of advanced
- 9:20AI, warning that unchecked systems could act against human
- 9:24interests. To mitigate these risks, X AI is
- 9:27reportedly exploring safeguards to maintain control over the
- 9:30technology as it evolves. For AGI to become a reality,
- 9:34systems like Colossus must continue to scale, both in terms

- 10:08However, as Musk points out, the journey toward AGI is much about

- 10:16technological progress. Artificial General intelligence

- 10:28long standing mysteries, and enabling breakthroughs across
- 10:31disciplines. Now, unlike narrow AI, which
- 10:33excels at specific tasks but lacks versatility, AGI could

- 10:41challenges, adapting dynamically to new programs and problems,
- 10:46and generating insights that might elude even the most
- 10:49skilled human researchers. Modern scientific research often
- 10:53involves analyzing massive data sets, which can be time
- 10:57consuming and error prone for human researchers.
- 11:00AGI could process and interpret these data states at
- 11:04unparalleled speeds, identifying patterns, correlations, and
- 11:09anomalies with extraordinary precision.
- 11:12For instance, in genomics, AGI could analyze the vast
- 11:16complexity of DNA sequences to uncover genetic markers for
- 11:19diseases, identifying potential drug targets, and predict how
- 11:23generic variations affect human health, all in a fraction of the
- 11:28time it takes today. And one of the most
- 11:30transformative features of AGI in scientific research would be
- 11:33its ability to autonomously generate hypotheses, design
- 11:37experiments, and also test them. And by trying on its extensive
- 11:41knowledge base and reasoning capabilities, AGI could propose
- 11:45innovative approaches to unresolved questions.
- 11:48And, for example, in physics, AGI might identify new
- 11:53principles or interactions within quantum mechanics,
- 11:56offering pathways toward the elusive unifications of quantum
- 12:00theory in general relativity. Now, this ability to hypothesize
- 12:05an experiment could dramatically increase the pace of discovery,
- 12:08as AGI systems would operate continuously without the
- 12:11limitations of human fatigue or cognitive bias.
- 12:15They can also refine their hypotheses in real time,

- 14:06aiding the search for extraterrestrial life or
- 14:09unraveling the mysteries of dark matter and dark energy.
- 14:12In mathematics, AGI might solve problems like a rhyman

- 14:19of science and engineering. But while AG is potential in
- 14:23science, research is immense. It also raises ethical
- 14:26considerations. Decisions about how AGI

- 15:28Can the newly created Department of Government Efficiency, or
- 15:31DOGE, identify $2 trillion in federal budget savings?
- 15:35How realistic is Elon Musk's revised goal of cutting a
- 15:38trillion dollars? And what obstacles does DOGE
- 15:41face in addressing inefficiencies and waste?
- 15:45These questions are at the heart of Elon Musk's project overhaul
- 15:49government spending. Back in October, during a rally
- 15:52for president-elect Donald Trump at Madison Square Garden, Elon
- 15:56Musk made a bold claim his new advisory committee, DOGE, could
- 16:00recommend federal budget cuts of at least $2 trillion.
- 16:04This figure, representing nearly 1/3 of the federal budget,
- 16:08raised eyebrows across the political and economic spectrum.
- 16:12Budget analysts quickly dismissed the target as very
- 16:15unrealistic, given that the entire discretionary budget is
- 16:19only $1.7 trillion now. Musk doubled down, suggesting
- 16:24DOGE would focus on cutting waste and inefficiencies across
- 16:27government agencies. However, during a live interview
- 16:30on X with political strategist Mark Penn on Wednesday, Musk
- 16:34walk back the $2 trillion projection, admitting that the
- 16:37figure was more of a best case outcome.
- 16:41Speaking candidly with Penn, Musk said DOGE has a good shot
- 16:45and identifying a trillion dollars in cuts while
- 16:48acknowledging the challenges Musk framed.
- 16:51This reduced target is a significant accomplishment, he
- 16:53said. If we try for two trillion,
- 16:55we've got a good shot at getting one.
- 16:57Musk argue that such reductions, combined with freeing up the
- 17:01economy to grow, could stabilize inflation.
- 17:04He said if we can drop the budget deficit from 2 trillion
- 17:07to one trillion and free up the economy to have additional
- 17:10growth such that the output of goods and services keeps pace
- 17:13with the increase in the money supply, then there will be no
- 17:17inflation. So that I think would be an epic
- 17:21outcome. Now Doge is Co led by Musk and
- 17:25Vivek Ramaswamy, and it lacks the formal authority to actually
- 17:29enact budget cuts or regulatory changes.
- 17:32Instead, it's tasked with making recommendations to the White
- 17:35House after Trump assumes office for the second term.
- 17:39Despite its limited powers, DOGE has garnered attention largely
- 17:42due to Musk's reputation as a billionaire innovator with a
- 17:46track record of disrupting industries.
- 17:49Now, the committee's mission aligns with Trump's broader
- 17:51pledge to streamline federal operations, reduce waste and
- 17:55rein in spending. However, the feasibility of
- 17:58achieving even Musk's revised goal remains uncertain.
- 18:02Critics argue that meaningful savings would require cuts to
- 18:05mandatory programs like Medicaid, a politically
- 18:09sensitive move that could provoke widespread backlash.
- 18:13Now, budget experts have been critical of Musk's initial $2
- 18:16trillion claim, calling it disconnected from fiscal
- 18:20reliabilities. In the federal budget, which
- 18:23totals approximately $6.8 trillion, includes a substantial
- 18:28portion allocated to mandatory spending programs such as Social
- 18:32Security, Medicare, and interest on the national debt.
- 18:35These programs are largely untouchable without significant
- 18:38legislative changes. Now, to achieve savings of a
- 18:41trillion dollars, DOGE would likely need to target
- 18:43discretionary spending and implement systemic reforms.
- 18:47However, Musk offered few specifics during his interview,
- 18:51instead describing the government as a target rich
- 18:53environment for cost cutting. It's like being in a room full
- 18:56of targets, like you could close your eyes and you can't miss, he
- 19:00said. Now, Musk also expressed
- 19:03frustration with the entrenched inefficiencies within the
- 19:06government. He said it's very, very hard for
- 19:09people to care about spending someone else's money.
- 19:12Musk noted that even well-intentioned government
- 19:14officials face systemic obstacles that hinder their
- 19:18ability to manage funds effectively.
- 19:20He said the system prevents them from doing so now.
- 19:23Addressing these challenges will require more than identifying
- 19:26areas of waste. It'll demand structural reforms
- 19:29to ensure greater accountability and efficiency in federal
- 19:32operations. Musk has pointed to excessive
- 19:35regulations as a key area for improvement, arguing that
- 19:38outdated and overly complex rules impede progress and

- 20:40smaller government, it risks sparking opposition from those
- 20:44who view regulations as essential safeguards.
- 20:47The prospect of massive budget cuts has drawn mixed reactions
- 20:51from lawmakers. While many congressional
- 20:53Republicans have voiced support for Doge's goals, some Democrats
- 20:56have expressed concerns about the potential impact on public
- 20:59services and social programs. Zach Nunn, who's a Republican
- 21:04from Iowa, advocated for reducing federal overage but
- 21:08stop short of endorsing specific cuts.
- 21:11Now, Trump transition team has yet to comment on Musk's revised
- 21:15estimate, and it remains unclear how closely the administration
- 21:18will align with Dojo's recommendations.

- 22:30soldier to turn against the country he once served?
- 22:34And how did a rented Tesla cyber truck become the stage for a
- 22:38fiery spectacle outside a Las Vegas hotel?
- 22:41Now, what personal writings of Matthew Ellen Livolsberger
- 22:46reveal about his state of mind in the days leading up to the
- 22:50explosion. These are the questions that
- 22:53were piercing together following the New Year's event at the
- 22:58Trump International Hotel. Now, on January 1st, a Tesla
- 23:02cyber truck erupted in flames at the entrance of the Trump Hotel
- 23:07in Las Vegas, killing its driver, 37 year old Army veteran
- 23:10Matthew Livolsberger. Assistant Sheriff Dory Corin of
- 23:14the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed that
- 23:17Livolsberger had left behind a digital diary on his phone
- 23:22offering insight into his motivations and his mental
- 23:25state. Now, according to Kren, the
- 23:27ratings were stark and critical of US leadership, describing the
- 23:31country as terminally ill and headed toward collapse.
- 23:36In one of the letters found on his phone, Livolsberger
- 23:39addressed Americans directly, urging them to wake up and
- 23:42accusing the nation's leaders of self-serving behavior.
- 23:46He said this was not a terrorist attack, it was a wake up call.
- 23:51He justified the explosion as a necessary quote stunt with
- 23:55fireworks and explosives to capture attention, claiming that
- 23:59Americans only respond to dramatic events.
- 24:03He also reflected on personal burdens, including the deaths of
- 24:06fellow soldiers and his own role in combat now.
- 24:10Corinne emphasized that the investigation is still ongoing,
- 24:13with authorities still combing through the evidence on
- 24:16Livolsberger's phone. However, investigators have yet
- 24:20to access a second phone found in the vehicle, which may
- 24:24contain further details. So we have Spencer Evans, who's
- 24:28a special agent in charge of the FB is Las Vegas division, saying
- 24:33that Livolsberger likely suffered from PTSD, Post
- 24:37traumatic Stress Disorder, compounded by personal
- 24:40grievances and also family issues.
- 24:42Evans stressed that while Livolsberger's writings were
- 24:45alarming, there was no evidence of animosity toward
- 24:49president-elect Donald Trump, whose hotel became the scene of
- 24:53the explosion. Libelsberger's deteriorating
- 24:56mental health and sense of disillusionment appeared to have
- 24:59reached a breaking point. Despite his decorated military
- 25:03service, which included deployments of Afghanistan,
- 25:05Ukraine and Africa, those close to him revealed signs of
- 25:09struggle. Alicia Aaron, a former
- 25:11girlfriend, described him as a proud soldier who battled
- 25:14chronic pain and concealed his struggles from superiors.
- 25:19Authorities confirmed Libelsburg's identity through a
- 25:22combination of DNA analysis and tattoo recognition.
- 25:25The tattoos, including a recently added triple Crescent
- 25:29symbol near his elbow, were instrumental in identifying his
- 25:33body, which had been badly burned in the explosion.
- 25:37The Clark County Coroner determined that Livelsberger
- 25:40died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, indicating he may have
- 25:45planned his actions as a final statement.
- 25:48Livelsberger was on approved military leave at the time of
- 25:51the incident. He rented the cyber truck in
- 25:53Colorado, drove it to Vegas, loading the vehicle with
- 25:56fireworks and gasoline that ultimately caused the explosion.
- 26:01Now, while the Las Vegas explosion drew immediate
- 26:03attention, authorities have ruled out connections to a
- 26:06separate attack in New Orleans on the same day that killed 14
- 26:09people on Bourbon Street. Evans stated that any
- 26:11similarities between the incidents, such as both suspects
- 26:15renting vehicles from the same company, were just a
- 26:18coincidence. Now Levels Burger social media
- 26:21activity painted a picture of a man deeply engaged in political
- 26:24discourse. Fellow soldiers described his
- 26:26post as patriotic and pro military, but noted that his
- 26:30views sometimes cause friction within his ranks.
- 26:33Said it posted a lot of political messages on social
- 26:36media that made some of us uncomfortable, 1 soldier
- 26:40remarked. And despite his strong opinions,
- 26:43Livelsberger was remembered as a dedicated teammate and a
- 26:46patriotic soldier. Two soldiers who served with him
- 26:49in recent years expressed shock at his actions, describing him
- 26:53as someone who was not prone to violence.
- 26:56Now, Livosberger's nearly two decade military career included
- 27:00service in the National Guard, Army Reserve and active duty
- 27:04army. He deployed to several conflict
- 27:06zones, including Afghanistan, where he completed multiple
- 27:09tours between 2017 and 2019. He also served in Ukraine and
- 27:15the Republic of the Congo, and he has a varied but demanding
- 27:19career because of it. His personal life, though,
- 27:24appeared tumultuous. Public records reveal a divorce
- 27:27in 2018 and a marriage in 2022. In a recent years, the
- 27:32Wolsberger welcomed a new child, as evidenced by social media
- 27:35photos of him and his partner cradling a newborn.
- 27:39Now outside of his military service, Libelsberger's unlike
- 27:43presence was sparse but revealing.
- 27:46He documented travels to destinations like Thailand,
- 27:49Italy and Puerto Rico, contributing photos and reviews
- 27:52on platform like TripAdvisor and Google Maps.
- 27:54These glimpses into his personal life contrast sharply with the
- 27:57violent act that marked his final days.
- 28:01And as investigators continue to unravel motives behind his
- 28:05actions, his writings offer a troubling insight into his state
- 28:09of mind. His call for Americans to pay
- 28:12attention through violence raises uncomfortable questions
- 28:15about how society addresses mental health, especially

- 28:40repaired. What do Elon Musk, raging
- 28:47wildfires, and the LA Fire Department hiring policies have
- 28:52in common? Well, this is a question that's
- 28:55been sparking debate across social media, as critics like
- 28:58Musk blame the city's diversity, equity and inclusion, or DEI,
- 29:02efforts for a perceived decline in firefighting efficiency.
- 29:06But is there evidence linking these initiatives to the spread
- 29:09of the flames? Or is it all just social media
- 29:11speculation? As wildfires swept through Los
- 29:15Angeles, Elon Musk and hedge fund manager Bill Ackman took to
- 29:19social media, particularly X, to criticize LA Fire Department's
- 29:24DEI efforts. Musk amplified claims tying the
- 29:27department's focus on diversity to a failure to prevent and
- 29:31control fires, Sharing a post that read DEI means People D
- 29:37i.e. However, neither Musk nor Ackman
- 29:40presented evidence directly connecting DEI to the fire
- 29:44departments operational capacity now.
- 29:47The controversy also spotlighted LA Fire Department Chief Kristen
- 29:51Crowley, who became the fire departments first female and
- 29:54LGBTQ leader when she was sworn in in 2022, and that same year
- 30:00the department established a dedicated DEI Bureau.
- 30:03Critics have questions whether these developments contributed
- 30:05to wildfire challenges, though no direct link between Crowley's
- 30:09relationship of leadership or DEI efforts and the severity of
- 30:13the wildfires has been established now.
- 30:16On her podcast, Megyn Kelly harshly criticized Crowley,
- 30:20claiming she prioritized diversity efforts over
- 30:23operational firefighting measures.
- 30:26She said she has made not filling the fire hydrants top
- 30:30priority, but diversity. Kelly said in a now viral clip
- 30:34that Musk and Ackman shared. However, multiple reports
- 30:38clarified that responsibility for maintaining water supplies,
- 30:41including fire hydrants, falls to the city's Department of
- 30:43Water and Power, not the fire department.
- 30:46Actually Now, the right wing social media account Libs of
- 30:49Tiktok also targeted Crowley, posting content about her
- 30:52participation in LGBTQ pride events and criticizing her
- 30:56leadership. Now, these posts gain millions
- 30:59of views. Further fueling the criticism,
- 31:01Libs of TikTok, which has faced prior suspensions for
- 31:04accusations of hate speech, asserted that their posts were
- 31:07factual despite the platform's policy violations.
- 31:11Now, commenters like Matt Walsh echoed similar sentiments,
- 31:14claiming the LAFD deliberately excluded white men from
- 31:18firefighting roles. Walsh offered no evidence to
- 31:20support his But though the fire department has indeed voiced a
- 31:25commitment to hiring and retaining a more diverse
- 31:27workforce now, some social media users pointed to a decades old
- 31:32claim by radio host Adam Corolla, who testified before
- 31:35Congress in 2017, that he was denied a firefighting job in LA
- 31:39in the 80s for not being, quote, black, Hispanic or a woman.
- 31:45Now, Corolla's anecdote predated both Crowley's tenure and the
- 31:49formation of the DEI Bureau by decades, rendering it irrelevant
- 31:53to current LA Fire Department practices.
- 31:57LA debate even spilled into televised political discussions.
- 32:01And during the CNN segment, Jasmine Crockett, representative
- 32:04Democrat for Texas, pushed back against conservative commentator
- 32:07Scott Jennings, who criticized the LA Fire Department's
- 32:10diversity efforts. Crockett expressed frustration
- 32:13over the persistent blame placed on DEI, she said.
- 32:17I am so tired of people acting as if white men are the only
- 32:20ones capable. CNN anchor Abby Phillip pressed
- 32:23Jennings further, questioning the connection between DEI and
- 32:26the department's ongoing battle with what was described as a
- 32:29historic fire. Now, despite the criticisms,
- 32:33there's no indication that Crowley neglected fire
- 32:35prevention efforts in favor of diversity initiatives.
- 32:38Upon her appointment, Crowley told the LA City News, Science
- 32:41or Service that her first priority would be strengthening
- 32:44communication with her command staff.
- 32:46The LA Fire Department's 2023 to 2026 Strategic plan listed
- 32:50department's primary goals is maintaining operational
- 32:53readiness, enhancing firefighter safety and well-being in
- 32:56improving workplace conditions, while promoting diversity,
- 32:59equity and inclusion in That's another goal and it ranks 3rd on
- 33:04the list now. Crowley emphasized the
- 33:06importance of emergency response, stating her commitment
- 33:09to delivering exceptional public safety and emergency services.
- 33:13The department's focus also includes leveraging
- 33:15technological advancements and fostering collaboration.
- 33:19Now, in March of 2023, the LA County Board of Supervisors
- 33:22approved policies aimed at increasing workforce diversity
- 33:25at the LAFD. Chair Janice Hahn described the
- 33:29measures as a road map for how we are going to hire more women
- 33:33and people of color. And these policies included
- 33:36adopting an entrance exam grounded in equity research,
- 33:39forming ADEI committee to guide hiring practices in conducting
- 33:43diversity surveys and exit interviews.

- 34:26solely based on her identity rather than our qualifications.
- 34:29However, Crowley's extensive career with the LAFD spans 22
- 34:33years, during which she held roles as firefighter, paramedic,
- 34:37firefighter, a paramedic, fire inspector, captain and deputy
- 34:41chief before becoming the department's leader.
