Latest / The Mark Simone Show / Hour 2: President Trump's lawfare.
Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Back to Mark Simone on w o Or and this
- 0:04Speaker 1: is just starting to come out. You remember the law
- 0:06Speaker 1: there against President Trump while he was out of office,
- 0:10Speaker 1: done by that dirty, dirty probably the dirtiest attorney general
- 0:14Speaker 1: we ever had, Merrick Garland. Now it was basically it
- 0:19Speaker 1: started with three cases. It was the Alvin Bragg case
- 0:23Speaker 1: in New York, which was the most sleazy, oddball case
- 0:28Speaker 1: ever brought by anybody anywhere. They were just trying to
- 0:32Speaker 1: get Trump. Even Alan Dershwitz, the great legal scholar, said
- 0:36Speaker 1: he's read the case one hundred times, still can't figure
- 0:38Speaker 1: out what the charge is. Then there was the Letitia
- 0:41Speaker 1: James case where she went after him for we got
- 0:47Speaker 1: he got a loan from Bank of America and she
- 0:50Speaker 1: claimed he defrauded them. And it's a crime that actually
- 0:55Speaker 1: would be impossible to commit because when you borrow eight
- 0:59Speaker 1: hundred million from a major bank, even when you borrow
- 1:03Speaker 1: eight thousand, but when you borrow eight hundred million, they
- 1:06Speaker 1: don't look at your numbers. You could tell them this
- 1:08Speaker 1: is my value of my properties. They don't even look
- 1:11Speaker 1: at it. They send their own appraisers. They never even
- 1:14Speaker 1: look at your numbers. It says right in the thing
- 1:16Speaker 1: we're not going to look at your numbers. And President
- 1:18Speaker 1: Trump in his numbers said, don't go by these numbers.
- 1:21Speaker 1: Do your own evaluation. You couldn't even commit the crime
- 1:23Speaker 1: if you tried. That was the Letitia James case. And
- 1:27Speaker 1: then uh had back on, and then he had Georgia.
- 1:31Speaker 1: Remember that Fanny Willis, Fannie Willis, whatever her name was.
- 1:35Speaker 1: And it turns out that in all of these cases,
- 1:40Speaker 1: in the case of the Georgia prosecutor and Fannie Willis
- 1:43Speaker 1: that case and the guy she had with her, they
- 1:45Speaker 1: were meeting with the White House. I mean, this is
- 1:48Speaker 1: a local prosecutor, a local case in Georgia, but they're
- 1:51Speaker 1: flying to the White House. Then the guy recorded that
- 1:54Speaker 1: they had eight hour meetings, two of them eight hour
- 1:58Speaker 1: meetings in the White House. Well, obviously they're coordinating the
- 2:01Speaker 1: cases with the White House. Obviously, if you have an
- 2:05Speaker 1: eight hour meeting in the White House, you weren't there
- 2:07Speaker 1: to say hello and meet and greet and take a picture.
- 2:10Speaker 1: Eight hour meetings. They were working on the case, and
- 2:15Speaker 1: Letsia James was talking with the White House. Now, in
- 2:18Speaker 1: the case of Alvin Bragg, Merrick Garland's top guy, his
- 2:23Speaker 1: number two guy left the Justice Department and came to
- 2:29Speaker 1: work in Alvin Bragg's office to run the case. Now
- 2:33Speaker 1: that's awfully suspicious. You got the biggest job under the
- 2:37Speaker 1: Attorney General in the Department of Justice in Washington, you
- 2:41Speaker 1: leave that to go work in a local prosecutor's office somewhere.
- 2:46Speaker 1: It doesn't make any sense. It doesn't pass the smell
- 2:49Speaker 1: test or the laugh test. So this guy was Michael Colangelo,
- 2:54Speaker 1: and he left. He was number two guy to Merrick Garland,
- 2:58Speaker 1: the very dirty Attorney General. Colangelo left and joined Manhattan
- 3:03Speaker 1: District Attorney Alvin Bragg's office, which nobody in the right
- 3:07Speaker 1: mind would do. I mean, even if you thought highly
- 3:10Speaker 1: of the Manhattan DA's office, it's brand new Alvin Bragg,
- 3:14Speaker 1: who nobody took seriously and nobody would want to work for.
- 3:18Speaker 1: So he came there to the office to run this case.
- 3:21Speaker 1: And we know that Colangelo, he was even in court
- 3:24Speaker 1: standing up arguing the case. So he came from Washington
- 3:28Speaker 1: came to the Manhattan DIA's office to personally prosecute Donald Trump. Well,
- 3:33Speaker 1: now stuff is coming out about him. We're finding out
- 3:36Speaker 1: he was involved in all kinds of other federal cases
- 3:38Speaker 1: against President Trump. So this was basically he was like
- 3:42Speaker 1: a Jack Smith where he'd spent his career as a
- 3:44Speaker 1: hitman going after political enemies, people he hated, so he
- 3:48Speaker 1: was after Trump all along. Stuff is starting to come out.
- 3:52Speaker 1: Hopefully the Justice Department the real one now, not the
- 3:56Speaker 1: dirty Merrick Garland Justice Department. Hopefully the real Justice. This
- 4:00Speaker 1: apartment starts investigating Michael Colangelo, take a good hard look
- 4:05Speaker 1: at him and lay out everything that he did, because
- 4:09Speaker 1: it's pretty bad. Hey, the World Trade Center, it's twenty
- 4:13Speaker 1: five years later, twenty fifth anniversary coming up of nine
- 4:16Speaker 1: to eleven and twenty five years later. The final piece
- 4:20Speaker 1: of the puzzle is coming back building too, World Trade Center.
- 4:25Speaker 1: That's the one that's still missing. Coming back building too.
- 4:28Speaker 1: At the World Trade Center broke ground yesterday. This is
- 4:33Speaker 1: going to be a twelve hundred foot tower that's a real, real,
- 4:39Speaker 1: serious skyscraper, and it's going to be American Express. American
- 4:45Speaker 1: in fact that they're going to own the whole building.
- 4:48Speaker 1: It'll be. It's not gonna it's going to take a
- 4:50Speaker 1: while to twenty thirty one, that's five years to build it,
- 4:54Speaker 1: but it will be the American Express building. They'll own it.
- 4:57Speaker 1: They'll be the main tenant. Now the good news is
- 5:01Speaker 1: it shows you a major company like American Express has
- 5:04Speaker 1: faith in New York and wants to put a massive
- 5:07Speaker 1: skyscraper here. And it's going to have a huge, huge,
- 5:13Speaker 1: huge headquarters right here. Remember right after nine to eleven,
- 5:16Speaker 1: in the year that followed, everybody said two things. They said,
- 5:19Speaker 1: nobody will ever live downtown there ever again, and nobody
- 5:25Speaker 1: will ever be up at the top of a skyglass skyscraper. Well,
- 5:29Speaker 1: obviously none of that was true. Go down there. It's
- 5:31Speaker 1: as crowded as ever. And this building going up is
- 5:34Speaker 1: the final piece of the World Trade Center puzzle coming back.
- 5:38Speaker 1: Mayor Mom Donnie was down there for the groundbreaking.
- 5:42Speaker 2: For many months, rubble filled a site that had long
- 5:44Speaker 2: been defined by greatness. But over the months and years
- 5:47Speaker 2: that followed, greatness returned. It returned in the first responders
- 5:52Speaker 2: who sacrificed so much on behalf of their fellow New Yorkers.
- 5:56Speaker 2: It returned, and those who cleared the pile and the
- 5:58Speaker 2: new foundations. It returned in the first office workers who
- 6:02Speaker 2: came back to work. And it returns today as we
- 6:05Speaker 2: break ground on a new building that will rise one thousand,
- 6:08Speaker 2: two hundred and twenty six feet into the sky.
- 6:12Speaker 1: Yeah, this is not one thing he does well, these
- 6:14Speaker 1: little speeches. However, if you let's say you were around
- 6:18Speaker 1: in two thousand and one and all of a sudden
- 6:19Speaker 1: you came back in a time machine, you came here,
- 6:22Speaker 1: saw this guy speaking, you would say, who's this guy?
- 6:24Speaker 1: You would never think this kid is the mayor. I
- 6:28Speaker 1: mean no, in normal circumstances, he would be like on
- 6:31Speaker 1: the staff of the mayor. He'd be like a staff guy.
- 6:33Speaker 1: He'd be the advanced guy for the mayor, but currently
- 6:35Speaker 1: the mayor. But it's the one thing he does, Okay,
- 6:37Speaker 1: it'd make those little speeches. So that's good news. Graham
- 6:42Speaker 1: Platner is still he's gone. He suspended his campaign. That
- 6:46Speaker 1: means you're out. You got to officially tell the party
- 6:50Speaker 1: take my name off everything, you're leave him. These democrats
- 6:54Speaker 1: they still can't explain themselves to people. It's so embarrassing.
- 7:00Speaker 1: How the hell did you back a Nazi rapist with
- 7:02Speaker 1: a big Nazi SS death camp tattoo? Right, and it's
- 7:06Speaker 1: gest you're back the Nazi rapist. I mean, just look
- 7:09Speaker 1: at the guy. He looks like the killer in Cape Fear.
- 7:10Speaker 1: He looks like a total nuts job. How did you
- 7:13Speaker 1: back that guy? They keep asking these people.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Graham told me point blank that there was nothing in
- 7:18Speaker 3: his past that I had to worry about. And you know,
- 7:21Speaker 3: he lied to me, and he lied to a lot
- 7:24Speaker 3: of us.
- 7:26Speaker 1: He looks like a terranged lunatic. That wasn't enough for you. Uh,
- 7:30Speaker 1: And then I mean listen, he said, they can't explain themselves.
- 7:33Speaker 4: So why did you stay with him for so long?
- 7:36Speaker 3: Well, the the Nazi tattoo and the Reddit posts, I
- 7:42Speaker 3: mean I didn't know. I mean I haven't never been
- 7:45Speaker 3: on Reddit, but you know when people talked about those things.
- 7:48Speaker 3: And then he turned around and said, you know that
- 7:50Speaker 3: these were times whenever they were dark for him, and
- 7:54Speaker 3: you know he'd grown and all this stuff. I mean,
- 7:57Speaker 3: they were, you know, a different time period for him.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And I understood. You know that people can.
- 8:01Speaker 1: Change, Yeah, I mean they're kind of a long haired
- 8:06Speaker 1: hippie and then they cut their hair, put on a suit,
- 8:08Speaker 1: and you can change like that. But massive Nazi tattoo
- 8:11Speaker 1: in the middle of your chest. You go to any
- 8:14Speaker 1: job interview with a massive Nazi tattoo right in the
- 8:17Speaker 1: middle of your chest, I don't think you're getting a
- 8:19Speaker 1: job except if it's Democrats. If it's Democrats, they'll take you. Hey,
- 8:24Speaker 1: this Legionnaire's disease. I've talked to a couple of people. Oh,
- 8:29Speaker 1: I was afraid to come to New York. They're in
- 8:30Speaker 1: the suburbs. Well, what do you whoa that legionaires does?
- 8:33Speaker 5: Well?
- 8:33Speaker 1: First of all, it's only a couple of neighborhoods on
- 8:36Speaker 1: the Upper east Side. It's not Midtown Manhattan, it's not downtown.
- 8:40Speaker 1: It's just in a couple of neighborhoods in Manhattan Upper
- 8:45Speaker 1: east Side. It's in the water tanks above the building.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You know, they when they think that it's in one
- 8:51Speaker 1: of these water tanks, then they clean it. And the
- 8:53Speaker 1: city council speaker Julie Menon now yelling and screaming, you
- 8:56Speaker 1: got to do it to every building on the Upper
- 8:58Speaker 1: east Side's got to do their water tank. It affects
- 9:01Speaker 1: the elderly. This is the city council speaker at Julie
- 9:03Speaker 1: Menin very.
- 9:04Speaker 4: Elderly population on the east Side, many seniors who will
- 9:07Speaker 4: be more susceptible and vulnerable to legionnaires. Legionnaires is potentially
- 9:11Speaker 4: fatal in ten percent of all cases. So every day
- 9:14Speaker 4: that goes by that the Health Department is not ordering
- 9:17Speaker 4: the disinfecting of these buildings is another day where more
- 9:21Speaker 4: and more residents of the East Side can become sick
- 9:23Speaker 4: and potentially die.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Yeah, she's pretty good. She's saying all the buildings on
- 9:27Speaker 1: every side. Health Department has to order every building clean
- 9:30Speaker 1: out its water tank, and they should do that right away.
- 9:33Speaker 4: Every single day that they wait to mandate that these
- 9:37Speaker 4: towers be disinfected is another day that more and more
- 9:41Speaker 4: people are contracting this.
- 9:43Speaker 1: Now, if you get rid of Mom Donnie next time around,
- 9:47Speaker 1: who would be the mayor? I know Curtis wants to run.
- 9:50Speaker 1: I don't know who else would be running on the
- 9:51Speaker 1: Republican side, certainly not Cuomo, who has proven beyond any
- 9:56Speaker 1: shadow of a doubt he is absolutely unelectable. But if
- 10:02Speaker 1: you're going to get stuck with a Democrat again, a
- 10:04Speaker 1: lot of people like this Julie Mennon kind of a
- 10:06Speaker 1: common sense city council speaker. The city controller is a
- 10:10Speaker 1: guy named Mark Levine. He's the Controller of New York City.
- 10:15Speaker 1: We had a luncheon yesterday where he was the speaker.
- 10:18Speaker 1: He was quite impressive, I mean dazzling, not only a
- 10:23Speaker 1: great speech. But nobody knows the city better than this guy.
- 10:26Speaker 1: He's been a lot of things. Started as a math
- 10:29Speaker 1: teacher in the Bronx, but he's been on the city
- 10:32Speaker 1: council for years. He was Manhattan Borough President. It's done
- 10:35Speaker 1: a lot of government work. But he really impressed the crowd.
- 10:38Speaker 1: It's a Democrat, but common sense, reasonable democrat. So keep
- 10:44Speaker 1: an eye on him, Mark Levine. He would be a
- 10:46Speaker 1: good mayoral candidate for the Democrats. Mark Levine, great talker, smart, charming,
- 10:54Speaker 1: all that stuff. I don't know how you do this,
- 10:58Speaker 1: but you know, on these term is up, you want
- 11:01Speaker 1: to get rid of them. But it's tough for the
- 11:02Speaker 1: Democrats to get him off the ballot. You know, he's
- 11:05Speaker 1: the automatic front runner to run again. But keep an
- 11:08Speaker 1: eye on that, Mark Levine or Julie Mennon. Now in
- 11:14Speaker 1: Instagram world, the most important thing if you're a restaurant,
- 11:20Speaker 1: if you're a bakery, if you're something like that, is
- 11:24Speaker 1: to go viral. The latest viral thing for the last
- 11:28Speaker 1: month or two was dot cake. It's just basically cake
- 11:31Speaker 1: and a cup with the sprinkles all over it dots,
- 11:33Speaker 1: but it became the hottest thing in the world on Instagram.
- 11:37Speaker 1: The only place you could get it in Manhattan was
- 11:39Speaker 1: the Butterfields Market, very very good market Butterfields, and people
- 11:43Speaker 1: would wait in line four hours. They only had it
- 11:47Speaker 1: Sunday and Thursday, so for four hours you wait in
- 11:50Speaker 1: line for this dot cake. It was an incredible phenomenon.
- 11:55Speaker 1: I hate to break it. Da if you go to
- 11:56Speaker 1: stut Leonards, this one in Norwalk, any stue Lenards. They
- 12:00Speaker 1: got four thousand dot cakes. You can just walk in
- 12:02Speaker 1: and take a handful of. It's not that good anyway.
- 12:05Speaker 1: So everybody's trying to go viral. Now here's somebody doing it.
- 12:09Speaker 1: I forget where this is. It's out in Long Island.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Is it the Hampton's or Queen's. I think it's Queen's.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I think so. They have the lobster Bloody Mary. It's
- 12:20Speaker 1: a bloody Mary. I don't know. It's got all kinds
- 12:22Speaker 1: of stuff in it. It's got a big lobster sticking
- 12:24Speaker 1: out of it. It's one hundred and fifty bucks or something.
- 12:26Speaker 1: But it's gone viral. People are lining up. They can
- 12:29Speaker 1: only make a certain amount of This's the owner of
- 12:31Speaker 1: the place.
- 12:31Speaker 6: It took off like crazy. We sell anywhere from twenty
- 12:34Speaker 6: to twenty five a week. It's one hundred and twenty
- 12:36Speaker 6: five dollars. It serves four to sex.
- 12:40Speaker 1: Okay, now you say, well, that's not such a great
- 12:44Speaker 1: business selling twenty a week, but it gets everybody in there.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Same thing with the Butterfields with the dot Cake, which Butterfields,
- 12:53Speaker 1: by the way, it's got a great bakery. If you
- 12:54Speaker 1: go in there, they sell five thousand things that are
- 12:57Speaker 1: better than the dot cake. So same thing with this place.
- 12:59Speaker 1: It they'll get people in there.
- 13:00Speaker 6: First we start with the last We're gonna offen it
- 13:03Speaker 6: up and you have to kind of support it. Usually
- 13:06Speaker 6: it sits perfectly right there. Then we're going to take
- 13:09Speaker 6: the salary. Two want eat side. There are a total
- 13:13Speaker 6: of six shrimp, three on each side. Now we go
- 13:16Speaker 6: with the bacon. Then we have the jalapeno, who goes
- 13:19Speaker 6: right by his mouth. Then we do the olive. You
- 13:22Speaker 6: get eight olives total. He gets to hold his own lemons.
- 13:26Speaker 1: Okay, let's be honest. It sounds disgusting. I mean if
- 13:30Speaker 1: I was eating dinner, if I had a lobster and
- 13:32Speaker 1: shrimp on my plate, and you were having a bloody Mary,
- 13:35Speaker 1: and I picked up my lobster and threw it in
- 13:37Speaker 1: your drink, in your bloody marry and drop my shrimp
- 13:40Speaker 1: punk them in your drink. You'd say, what the hell
- 13:42Speaker 1: are you doing? But now it's viral and you'll pay
- 13:46Speaker 1: a hundred twenty dollars to have this. So it is
- 13:50Speaker 1: pretty stupid. Now you got every bakery, every restaurant, every
- 13:53Speaker 1: cafe running around trying to figure out how to go
- 13:56Speaker 1: viral with something. Now in the Hamptons they opened a
- 13:59Speaker 1: little diner. It's tiny, like an old fashioned railroad car,
- 14:03Speaker 1: a little tiny diner. I think it's Southampton. It's called Babes.
- 14:07Speaker 1: It only has eight stools. That's it. It went viral.
- 14:12Speaker 1: Now you gotta wait in line seven hours to go
- 14:14Speaker 1: to Babes. What do they have? That's just regularly. You
- 14:17Speaker 1: can get the same thing in any diner. They got pancakes,
- 14:19Speaker 1: they got eggs, But it's viral.
- 14:22Speaker 5: See.
- 14:22Speaker 1: Part of the secret of viral is you gotta wait.
- 14:24Speaker 1: The line is the key. There's a line to get
- 14:28Speaker 1: those dot cakes. You gotta wait four hours in line.
- 14:31Speaker 1: And normally if there was a line, normally you went
- 14:34Speaker 1: anywhere and you saw a line two blocks long, you'd say, oh,
- 14:37Speaker 1: let's go somewhere else. This is a whole new phenomenon
- 14:41Speaker 1: with this gen z. When they see a line, they
- 14:43Speaker 1: rush to it to get in it. It's not even
- 14:46Speaker 1: the food, it's the line, it's the experience. They just
- 14:50Speaker 1: love being in a line. They'd love to say they
- 14:52Speaker 1: waited four hours. And the other idea is when you
- 14:55Speaker 1: finally get the thing, even this lobster or martini or
- 14:59Speaker 1: bloody and you it tasting good, doesn't matter. You've got
- 15:02Speaker 1: something nobody else can have. Even though you went to
- 15:05Speaker 1: Babes and it tastes like every other diner, you can
- 15:08Speaker 1: put it on your Instagram. You've got something nobody else
- 15:10Speaker 1: can get. So this is I don't know when this
- 15:13Speaker 1: phenomenon will end, but it's going to continue for a while.
- 15:16Speaker 1: We'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:20Speaker 1: zero seven ten is the number eight hundred three two
- 15:24Speaker 1: one zero seven ten. If you're listening to Mark on
- 15:27Speaker 1: the iHeartRadio app, save time and dap the reset button. Now.
- 15:32Speaker 6: Now back to the Mark Simone show on WOOR.
- 15:36Speaker 1: It's eight hundred three two one zero seven ten is
- 15:40Speaker 1: the number eight hundred three two one zero seven ten.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Let's go to Caroline in Bayville. Caroline, how you.
- 15:47Speaker 7: Doing Hi Mark, it's Carolyn.
- 15:52Speaker 1: But that's okay, it says Caroline here, all right, Caroline
- 15:55Speaker 1: even better?
- 15:56Speaker 7: Oh I know, yeah. I wanted to talk about the
- 16:00Speaker 7: social media with the lines. I was in Italy. I
- 16:05Speaker 7: was in Taromina, Sicily, and there was this line, you know,
- 16:09Speaker 7: and I'm like, what's going on because no one else
- 16:12Speaker 7: had the line anywhere, and I went they said, it's TikTok.
- 16:15Speaker 1: It's you know, yeah.
- 16:17Speaker 7: I went on TikTok and I saw it was Granada.
- 16:19Speaker 7: It was that shaded ice.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Ye.
- 16:21Speaker 7: It's called bam Bar was the name of the place.
- 16:25Speaker 7: And so we were like, we're not waiting on that line.
- 16:28Speaker 7: But then one morning there was no line, so we
- 16:30Speaker 7: had it. It was delicious. But then we went to
- 16:32Speaker 7: another place and had it was the same thing. It's
- 16:36Speaker 7: just amazing if you can get on social media, your business.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Psychological you know, the gen z. If they see a line,
- 16:42Speaker 1: oh this must be good. You know, right across the
- 16:44Speaker 1: street there's this little U tie place Topaz. It looks
- 16:47Speaker 1: like nothing. You would never want to walk in there.
- 16:51Speaker 1: It looks like crap, but it's got a line all
- 16:54Speaker 1: the way up the you know, this must be great.
- 16:56Speaker 1: It actually is. It's a great place. But you see
- 16:58Speaker 1: that line. Now the gen Z if they were walking
- 17:02Speaker 1: by the Motor Vehicle Department, looked in the window and
- 17:04Speaker 1: saw that line, they go, let's go, we gotta go
- 17:06Speaker 1: this whatever this is so? Uh? And what's good in Bayville?
- 17:10Speaker 1: You got you got the Crescent Club there, Yeah.
- 17:14Speaker 7: Got shelzees Yeah.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Yeah, it's okay, Yeah, all right, the Crescent, Sushi, Creston Club,
- 17:23Speaker 1: beautiful view, right on the water. You're not far from
- 17:27Speaker 1: uh what's near you? Oyster Bay? You got Cooper Bluff?
- 17:30Speaker 1: You got all that stuff there?
- 17:31Speaker 7: Oh, Cooper's is full of those young twenty five year
- 17:35Speaker 7: olds that make you feel real old when you're there.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Well that's if you go late. Just go earlier, and
- 17:41Speaker 1: it's older. It gets younger every hour. Yeah, if you
- 17:45Speaker 1: have to ten o'clock, it's young. Seven o'clock, it's older,
- 17:47Speaker 1: but it gets a great crowd. Beautiful place right on
- 17:50Speaker 1: the water.
- 17:51Speaker 7: So are you still single?
- 17:52Speaker 1: Mark? Yeah? Why what do you have in mind?
- 17:57Speaker 5: I'm single? Oh?
- 17:58Speaker 1: Oh, oh there you go? And uh where do you
- 18:02Speaker 1: hang at? You single women out there in Bayville? Now?
- 18:08Speaker 1: Oh that got her quiet? Are you still there?
- 18:10Speaker 8: It's serious?
- 18:12Speaker 1: What what was the question. Yes, I am, I am.
- 18:17Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but you'll have to wait in line. I'm
- 18:18Speaker 1: like dot cake, you gotta wait in line, take a number.
- 18:22Speaker 1: I'm kidding, but very good call, Caroline, thanks for calling.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Let's go to Joseph in Manhattan. Joseph, how you doing.
- 18:30Speaker 9: Oh you started your program, Mark talking about the drones
- 18:35Speaker 9: and rands and bringing to Cuba. Yeah, to probably attack
- 18:38Speaker 9: America and American President Trump. But Mark, we never got
- 18:43Speaker 9: answers about the drones finding around New Jersey and New York.
- 18:47Speaker 9: Member of years back during Sleepy Joe Biden Camelo, what
- 18:51Speaker 9: was that? Also Iran may Communist?
- 18:54Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, it was not No, it was
- 18:57Speaker 1: nothing like that. Remember President Trump, I can't remember now,
- 19:00Speaker 1: but when he first got in office, he the first
- 19:02Speaker 1: thing you want to know is what the hell were
- 19:04Speaker 1: those drones? And apparently it was nothing serious and I
- 19:07Speaker 1: can't remember. You have to go back and look it up.
- 19:09Speaker 1: But it was nothing serious. But that was Sleepy Joe.
- 19:11Speaker 1: But there was a Chinese spy balloon following following Flump
- 19:14Speaker 1: flying over the US, which he did nothing about. Let's
- 19:18Speaker 1: go to Paul Roslind New York. You know that's actually
- 19:20Speaker 1: where the dot cake is from Rosney, New York Mark.
- 19:24Speaker 10: Yes, good morning, It's Paul from Roslyn.
- 19:26Speaker 1: How are you good?
- 19:28Speaker 10: Good? Just a question the next time that you speak
- 19:30Speaker 10: to Vincent from Brooklyn, ask him please if he ever
- 19:34Speaker 10: ran into Michael Francis, who I'm sure he might have
- 19:38Speaker 10: crossed passed was in the nineteen seventies or eighties.
- 19:40Speaker 1: That's the guy that does that podcast now.
- 19:43Speaker 10: I think so yeah, And I think he was pretty
- 19:45Speaker 10: well connected. I once released the car from him in
- 19:47Speaker 10: nineteen seventy something a Lincoln Mark for you sound like.
- 19:51Speaker 1: You're up to something. You know, You're always kind of
- 19:53Speaker 1: whispering like, what are you up to?
- 19:55Speaker 5: There? Who may? Yeah?
- 19:57Speaker 1: What do you at least in the car from him for?
- 20:00Speaker 10: Because I was looking for a Lincoln Mark four and
- 20:03Speaker 10: they ran an ad in the New York Times from
- 20:05Speaker 10: least car of America.
- 20:06Speaker 1: Lincoln Mark four? What are you? Jimmy Hoffer right?
- 20:12Speaker 10: And when I when I finally he finally he wanted
- 20:15Speaker 10: me to come. He wanted come to my where I work,
- 20:18Speaker 10: which he did. And then when I was talking to him,
- 20:20Speaker 10: he said, will do where do you live? I said,
- 20:22Speaker 10: Jamaica Estates and Queen's He said, Oh, great neighborhood. He said,
- 20:26Speaker 10: go deliver the.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Car time you have heard. But if you want a
- 20:28Speaker 1: Lisa car, you go to a Lincoln dealer. They got
- 20:30Speaker 1: plenty of Lincolns there.
- 20:31Speaker 10: What do you I know? I know, I was a
- 20:33Speaker 10: young guy and they had advertised an incredible price.
- 20:36Speaker 1: So I thought something, why do you think that is
- 20:38Speaker 1: probably a bottom in the trunk or something.
- 20:40Speaker 10: You know what he said to me, this car used
- 20:42Speaker 10: to belong to Rocky Graziano and he shouldn't make the payments.
- 20:46Speaker 1: Well, there you go, there you go, and.
- 20:48Speaker 10: He said, but it's an excellent shape. You'll get the
- 20:50Speaker 10: full guarantee and we'll deliver it to your house within
- 20:53Speaker 10: two or three days.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Wow, you know he would be This would be a
- 20:56Speaker 1: great story if this was nineteen seventy eight. But the
- 21:02Speaker 1: was anymore. But a link in mark four you could
- 21:05Speaker 1: see Uncle Junior driving that around. Let's go to Jean
- 21:09Speaker 1: in Riverdale. Jean, how you doing?
- 21:12Speaker 8: Hey, Mark Tway a long time listener of yourself, Mark,
- 21:16Speaker 8: I just wanted to comment on what you said about
- 21:19Speaker 8: Julie Menon and Marque Levine. Yes, Mark Levine is the
- 21:23Speaker 8: controller and the city council is going to vote themselves
- 21:26Speaker 8: a big pay raise.
- 21:27Speaker 1: Well that's all. That's that's terrible, But it's all politicians.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Any politician will do that.
- 21:33Speaker 8: Yeah, but he should come out and say, hey, listen,
- 21:35Speaker 8: this is wrong. The City of New York canna ford
- 21:37Speaker 8: this with one hundred and twenty six billion dollar budget
- 21:41Speaker 8: that they want to do.
- 21:42Speaker 1: No, I understand, No, everybody agrees with you, but that's
- 21:44Speaker 1: the way they are. Those are Republicans, Democrats, politicians. They'll
- 21:47Speaker 1: always vote themselves a raise. Nothing you can do better.
- 21:50Speaker 8: And well, so you know, I don't think Julie Mennin
- 21:53Speaker 8: would make a good Maari because she's very she's very liberal,
- 21:57Speaker 8: and well.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I understand she's not very liberal, she's slightly liberal. She's
- 22:00Speaker 1: a more common sense I'd rather have a Republican mayor Juliani,
- 22:04Speaker 1: a Bloomberg something like that. But if you're gonna be
- 22:06Speaker 1: stuck with a Democrat, you're better better off with a
- 22:09Speaker 1: Julie Mennon or a Mark Levine than a mom Donnie.
- 22:12Speaker 1: That's all I was saying. Absolutely, all right, thanks for calling.
- 22:15Speaker 1: Oh when we come back. The perfect candidate, Bruce Blakeman.
- 22:19Speaker 1: He should be the next governor of New York. He's
- 22:21Speaker 1: the guy who could really start to save New York.
- 22:24Speaker 1: Bruce Blakeman should be the next governor of New York,
- 22:26Speaker 1: and we'll talk to him next on seven to ten Work.
- 22:31Speaker 10: Simon Show Live from the WR Life Back Studio.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Well, Bruce Blakeman the best county executive in America, and
- 22:40Speaker 1: that's like being a governor. He's the county executive Nassau County,
- 22:44Speaker 1: considered the best county in America right now, and he's
- 22:47Speaker 1: running for governor. We hope he wins. Everybody hopes he wins.
- 22:51Speaker 1: And I know you're saying I hope he wins. Well,
- 22:53Speaker 1: you got to do more than hope. You got to
- 22:54Speaker 1: take some action. Go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. Donate volunteer
- 23:00Speaker 1: to just help out. Go to Blakeman from New York
- 23:03Speaker 1: dot com. Bruce Blakeman, how you doing.
- 23:06Speaker 5: I'm doing great, Mark, And thank you God bless you
- 23:10Speaker 5: for your message of how we are going to win
- 23:14Speaker 5: and save the state. It's much appreciated. You're a good friend.
- 23:17Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 23:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you need donations to win, so everybody donate. You
- 23:21Speaker 1: did you just get your matching funds?
- 23:25Speaker 5: We got part of our matching funds. They still owe
- 23:27Speaker 5: us quite a bit of money, but we got part
- 23:30Speaker 5: of it. And today is the deadline for our next
- 23:35Speaker 5: financial filing. So between now and eleven o'clock tonight, if
- 23:39Speaker 5: there's anybody out there that wants to make a contribution
- 23:42Speaker 5: of any level, go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. We'd love
- 23:46Speaker 5: to get your support. We've got to save our state.
- 23:49Speaker 5: We've got to save our country from people who have
- 23:52Speaker 5: anti American values, and believe me, as governor, we will
- 23:56Speaker 5: put the state in the right direction and take it
- 23:58Speaker 5: out of its death spiral.
- 24:00Speaker 1: Hey, so the latest polling, I'm not talking about those
- 24:03Speaker 1: public polls, they're mostly junk, but the real poles you got.
- 24:06Speaker 1: One has you at six points, one has you at
- 24:08Speaker 1: eight points. So let's say it's seven points. That's from
- 24:11Speaker 1: being twenty points behind, and you're ahead of where Lee
- 24:15Speaker 1: Zelden was at this point, aren't you.
- 24:17Speaker 5: Well, we're about fourteen points ahead of where Lee was
- 24:21Speaker 5: four years ago. So we're going to win, provided that
- 24:25Speaker 5: we get people out to vote, provided that we have
- 24:28Speaker 5: enough campaign funds to buy social media, radio, TV, streaming,
- 24:32Speaker 5: direct mail. We have the perfect storm here in New York.
- 24:38Speaker 5: We've got a governor that's completely inept. Where the most overtaxed,
- 24:43Speaker 5: overregulated state in America are electric pills is seventy percent
- 24:46Speaker 5: higher than the national average. I will end that. And
- 24:50Speaker 5: she is the most pro criminal governor. And now she's
- 24:53Speaker 5: completely aligned at the hit with Zorron Mandami. I now
- 24:58Speaker 5: call her comrade Kathy. The two of them are conspiring
- 25:01Speaker 5: to destroy the economy of the State of New York
- 25:05Speaker 5: and the City of New York. And I will stop them.
- 25:08Speaker 5: I will stop the lawlessness, and I will bring prosperity
- 25:12Speaker 5: and peace and economic development, better jobs, better benefits to
- 25:17Speaker 5: New York State.
- 25:18Speaker 1: Yeah. Hey, now, Bruce play would explain, because Kathy Okle
- 25:21Speaker 1: always talks about affordability, explain how the electric bills are
- 25:25Speaker 1: so high as a result of her actions.
- 25:29Speaker 5: Yeah, So, Kathy Hockel has improved over forty five rate
- 25:34Speaker 5: hikes forty five in the last four and a half years.
- 25:40Speaker 5: So she's directly responsible for your rate hikes. And when
- 25:43Speaker 5: you look at your bill, take a look at your
- 25:47Speaker 5: election till only thirty percent of your bill goes for energy.
- 25:50Speaker 5: The rest goes from more taxes. She taxes that she
- 25:54Speaker 5: has excessive delivery fees, that's a way to collect more
- 25:57Speaker 5: money without calling it a rate hike. On top of that,
- 26:01Speaker 5: she has the green energy scam, where she puts solar
- 26:04Speaker 5: farms upstate New York under snow and sixty story wind
- 26:09Speaker 5: farms out in the middle of the ocean, the most
- 26:12Speaker 5: expensive way of generating energy, and it is producing very
- 26:18Speaker 5: little energy. I will also open up the Marcellus Reserve.
- 26:22Speaker 5: It's one of the largest natural gas reserves in the world.
- 26:25Speaker 5: It's right here in New York State. We're going to
- 26:27Speaker 5: stop buying our gas from Pennsylvania. We're going to create
- 26:30Speaker 5: prosperity in New York and increase the supply so we
- 26:34Speaker 5: bring down the cost of electricity. I can cut the
- 26:37Speaker 5: electric bills in half. I will when I'm governor, because
- 26:41Speaker 5: that's the number one complaint I get from people nowadays.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, just explain that to people, because we're sitting
- 26:46Speaker 1: on top of all the natural gas in the world,
- 26:49Speaker 1: yet we buy it from Pennsylvania.
- 26:52Speaker 5: Yeah, it's Kathy hocal scam. It's hypocritical. So she wants
- 26:58Speaker 5: to portray herself as a far left, woke progressive Democrat
- 27:03Speaker 5: who wants only green energy that will never happen in
- 27:07Speaker 5: the foreseeable future. We need fossil fuel. We need natural gas,
- 27:13Speaker 5: and we have one of the largest reserves right here
- 27:17Speaker 5: on the border of Pennsylvania. But in Pennsylvania they let
- 27:20Speaker 5: you extract the gas and they're driving brand new Cadillac Escalades.
- 27:24Speaker 5: Over there on the New York side, Kathy Hochel won't
- 27:27Speaker 5: let you. They're driving twenty five year old, rushed out
- 27:30Speaker 5: pickup trucks. We're losing the tax revenue, we're losing the supply.
- 27:34Speaker 5: And crazy enough, Kathy Hochel, this is how hypocritical is
- 27:39Speaker 5: She's buying the natural gas from the same reserve, but
- 27:42Speaker 5: from the Pennsylvania side, so she can tell all her
- 27:44Speaker 5: lefty friends that she's green, but she's not green. It's
- 27:49Speaker 5: a big subterfuge. So I will open up that Marcella schale.
- 27:55Speaker 5: That supply will dramatically bring down electric built costs. And
- 27:59Speaker 5: by the way, she wants to go all electric. She
- 28:01Speaker 5: wants to take your guest stove away from you. I mean,
- 28:06Speaker 5: this has gotten so ridiculous, it's completely bizarre. We need
- 28:11Speaker 5: to stop it. We need to get back to common sense.
- 28:13Speaker 5: And you know, Mark, one of the things that's really
- 28:16Speaker 5: encouraging to me every single day, I have Democrats coming
- 28:21Speaker 5: up to me and saying, I've never voted republic I've
- 28:24Speaker 5: never voted Republican before. I'm a lifelong Democrat. I'm voting
- 28:27Speaker 5: for you. My party has gotten too weird, and you're
- 28:30Speaker 5: a common sense guy. You've done a good job in
- 28:32Speaker 5: Nassau County, so I'm going to put my trust in you.
- 28:35Speaker 5: That is very gratified.
- 28:36Speaker 1: Yeah, Hey, everybody, go to blakemanfrom New York dot com.
- 28:39Speaker 1: You can donate or help or Blakeman from New York
- 28:42Speaker 1: dot com. The budget in New York is like two
- 28:45Speaker 1: hundred and seventy five billion a year.
- 28:47Speaker 5: What should it be, Well, it's twice the size of
- 28:51Speaker 5: the state of Florida, and they've got four million more people.
- 28:55Speaker 5: So you know, I was down in Florida a couple
- 28:58Speaker 5: of times this year because I have family down there,
- 29:02Speaker 5: and their government seems to be running very very well
- 29:05Speaker 5: on half the money that New York spends. So you know,
- 29:08Speaker 5: there's a tremendous amount of fraud, waste, and abuse, And
- 29:11Speaker 5: in Florida they don't spend eight and a half billion
- 29:14Speaker 5: dollars a taxpayer money like Kathy Hopel's doing on illegal migrants.
- 29:19Speaker 5: All you have to do is arrive in New York State.
- 29:21Speaker 5: You get free housing, free transportation, free food, and the
- 29:24Speaker 5: free cell phone. And you're not even a New Yorker.
- 29:27Speaker 5: That's our taxpayer dollars. That ends when I become governor.
- 29:31Speaker 10: I'm not going to let that happen.
- 29:33Speaker 5: We're going to invest in New York. We're going to
- 29:35Speaker 5: cut taxes, cut utility bills, and invest in good jobs
- 29:39Speaker 5: and good benefits for our young people so they don't
- 29:42Speaker 5: leave here.
- 29:43Speaker 1: Hey, I know you do all the right stuff, but
- 29:45Speaker 1: don't you have a crazy left wing legislative. They'll try
- 29:49Speaker 1: to stop you. What do you do about that?
- 29:52Speaker 5: Well, you know what. First of all, we got elect
- 29:54Speaker 5: more Republicans in the Senate, in the Assembly, and in
- 29:57Speaker 5: the House of Representatives, so you know this is a
- 30:00Speaker 5: team effort. We need a Republican Attorney General, Cerisa Comaretti,
- 30:05Speaker 5: Joe Hernandez great guy for Controller. We need a complete
- 30:10Speaker 5: change from top to bottom. But if there is a
- 30:12Speaker 5: Democrat majority in the Assembly and the Senate, which there
- 30:17Speaker 5: might be, that probably will be. All I can say
- 30:21Speaker 5: is it's a negotiation process. The governor has tremendous powers
- 30:25Speaker 5: and I will negotiate and bargain with them. They'll get
- 30:29Speaker 5: some of the things they need, but I'll get what
- 30:31Speaker 5: I need to put this state out of its depth
- 30:33Speaker 5: spiral and put it on the right track. We've got
- 30:37Speaker 5: to change cashless bail, it's a revolving door of criminality.
- 30:40Speaker 5: We've got to end the sanctuary state status and stop
- 30:44Speaker 5: spending eight and a half billion dollars on illegal migrants.
- 30:48Speaker 5: And we've got to lower electric bills. Those are priorities.
- 30:52Speaker 1: Hey, and if Mayor Mom Donnie starts doing some crazy stuff,
- 30:55Speaker 1: what can a governor actually do to stop that?
- 30:58Speaker 5: Well, I have tremendous power over the budget, and you know,
- 31:03Speaker 5: if he wants money to run his city, he's going
- 31:06Speaker 5: to have to make sure that he behaves himself and
- 31:09Speaker 5: doesn't ruin the economy of New York, doesn't over tax people,
- 31:14Speaker 5: and doesn't allow criminality and anti Semitism to be running rampant.
- 31:19Speaker 5: The latest thing he's done is he put out a
- 31:23Speaker 5: map about the various ethnic neighborhoods in the city of
- 31:28Speaker 5: New York and left out both Little Italyes, he's got
- 31:32Speaker 5: Little Palestine in some places, but he left out Little
- 31:35Speaker 5: Italy in Lower Manhattan and Little Italy in the Bronx
- 31:39Speaker 5: on Arthur Avenue, and I think that's intentional, you know,
- 31:42Speaker 5: just like when he gave the finger to Christopher Columbus.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Dahn that that's just crazy. Hey, we're running out of time.
- 31:49Speaker 1: We know how much time left. But just some people
- 31:51Speaker 1: think the governor can remove the mayor. It's not that simple,
- 31:54Speaker 1: is it.
- 31:56Speaker 5: Well, yeah, the governor can remove the mayor, but you
- 31:59Speaker 5: know he's a duly elected officials, so that is a
- 32:02Speaker 5: drastic remedy. He would have to do something that was
- 32:05Speaker 5: very egregious or illegal. And look, I would do it
- 32:11Speaker 5: if he did something of that magnitude. But I'm hoping
- 32:15Speaker 5: that he modifies his behavior when I become governor, and
- 32:19Speaker 5: I will insist that he modifies his behavior because what
- 32:22Speaker 5: he's doing now is destroying the economy of New York City.
- 32:26Speaker 5: He's competing with local private businesses and places like the
- 32:30Speaker 5: Bronx with these stupid grocery stores he wants to open up.
- 32:34Speaker 5: And his regulations and rules with respect to housing have
- 32:39Speaker 5: created the housing shortage that we now have. So we
- 32:42Speaker 5: need him to modify his behavior. Me as governor, I'll
- 32:45Speaker 5: make sure that happens.
- 32:46Speaker 1: Well, that's great, Hey, everybody, I know you want Bruce
- 32:49Speaker 1: Blakeman to win. I know you hope you but more
- 32:52Speaker 1: than hope, you got to do something. So go to
- 32:54Speaker 1: Blakemanfronewyork dot com, make a contribution, volunteer, whatever you can do,
- 33:00Speaker 1: do something. Go to blakemanfro neew York dot com, Blakeman
- 33:03Speaker 1: for New York dot com. Bruce Blakeman, We're pushing for you,
- 33:06Speaker 1: We're pulling for you. Thanks for everything.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 33:10Speaker 9: Mark.
- 33:10Speaker 5: We'll get there and have a great weekend. May God
- 33:13Speaker 5: bless you and may God bless America.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Thanks all right, take care, Yeah, make sure you help out.
- 33:17Speaker 1: Go to Blakemanfronewyork dot com. He could actually start to
- 33:21Speaker 1: turn this all around, save the state. You know, that's
- 33:24Speaker 1: what it takes. Like it turns the tide, then you
- 33:27Speaker 1: get more Republicans start getting elected. And that doesn't matter
- 33:30Speaker 1: Republican or we just want common sense people like Bruce Blakeman. Hey,
- 33:34Speaker 1: don't forget. At noon today, Buck and Clay with a
- 33:37Speaker 1: great show. And you know you can hear Curtis now,
- 33:40Speaker 1: Curtis Leiwa is here every weekday morning. It's Curtisleiwa, Larry
- 33:45Speaker 1: mente six to ten every weekday on seven ten WR.
- 33:51Speaker 10: This is the marksone show on WR.
- 33:56Speaker 1: Hey, Well, the forecast keeps improving. It's supposed to be
- 33:59Speaker 1: a rainy thunder shower kind of afternoon. Now it's down
- 34:02Speaker 1: to maybe one understorming, a little slight chance of it
- 34:05Speaker 1: around five o'clock. Otherwise, pretty good weekend. It's some rain tomorrow,
- 34:09Speaker 1: but otherwise good weekend. Sunday will be beautiful. Well, I'm
- 34:13Speaker 1: here every weekday ten to noon. All you gotta do
- 34:16Speaker 1: is just join us at ten. I'll see you Monday
- 34:18Speaker 1: at ten right here on seven ten WR
