- 0:03Speaker 1: Woody Show.
- 0:05Speaker 2: We're into another new hour, insensitivity training for a politically
- 0:09Speaker 2: correct world. Woody Greg, Hi, Menace, Hi, Gina, there's a
- 0:16Speaker 2: bad we are out here.
- 0:17Speaker 1: Sammy Morgan is here. Did you ever get the I
- 0:22Speaker 1: don't know what they call it. It's like a it's like.
- 0:24Speaker 2: A harm harmonica. You use it for, you know when
- 0:30Speaker 2: you have a barbershop quartec. Greg's pitch pipe, that's what
- 0:36Speaker 2: it is.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Pitch pipe? Is that what it's called? I have? Do
- 0:43Speaker 1: you have it?
- 0:44Speaker 3: I have the digit I have a digital version as well.
- 0:47Speaker 1: I have a piano version.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Okay, because uh, we're gonna we're gonna test Sammy.
- 0:52Speaker 1: We're talking about we had those videos.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Sammy was at the Atlantis Moore set show and like
- 0:57Speaker 2: it's like she's deaf.
- 0:58Speaker 1: She can't I don't know if she can hear.
- 1:02Speaker 2: To or have the ability like when when somebody goes, hey,
- 1:05Speaker 2: do an impression of what you just heard it? And
- 1:08Speaker 2: yet it's it's not even in the ballpark's did you
- 1:11Speaker 2: hear what the example was? Or like okay, so here here,
- 1:14Speaker 2: here's how the song sounds. And she's just way off.
- 1:18Speaker 4: The utter opposite of yeah yeah, tone is what he's
- 1:24Speaker 4: question is are you actually even hearing different tones or
- 1:27Speaker 4: are physically able to produce that?
- 1:28Speaker 5: I think it's just like the octave. The level is
- 1:31Speaker 5: an issue. It's like you you brought it up before.
- 1:33Speaker 5: It's either really really low where you can't even hear
- 1:36Speaker 5: yourself speak, or you're just like super that.
- 1:40Speaker 1: That's the volume. That's the volume, that's the volume. That's
- 1:42Speaker 1: that the volume is crazy.
- 1:45Speaker 2: The volume is different than than the picture that the tone. Yeah,
- 1:49Speaker 2: you know, and so Sea Bass has one of these
- 1:51Speaker 2: things that we're going to see if you can replicate it.
- 1:53Speaker 1: We're gonna try. This is a medical.
- 1:55Speaker 3: Test, right, So not only will we hear what the
- 1:58Speaker 3: tone is supposed to be. So let's say, you know,
- 2:00Speaker 3: a high C or whatever, but I have a I
- 2:02Speaker 3: have a pitch, A pitch things.
- 2:04Speaker 1: That you can see the little you know, moves around.
- 2:07Speaker 3: Make and I was just going to see how close
- 2:09Speaker 3: that Sammy can get to what the supposed pitch is
- 2:12Speaker 3: going to be.
- 2:13Speaker 1: Okay, So we have a.
- 2:14Speaker 6: We have a we can actually see on the screen
- 2:17Speaker 6: how close you are right okay of doing what of
- 2:20Speaker 6: matching that note?
- 2:21Speaker 7: Like I have to my voice.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Like what do.
- 2:29Speaker 3: You are directly on C four, which is what that
- 2:32Speaker 3: is great energy to.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Okay, so Sam, I have to put this by you. Okay,
- 2:39Speaker 1: now you have to match that.
- 2:40Speaker 2: You can do either.
- 2:41Speaker 8: I don't even know what we're talking about. I mean, like,
- 2:43Speaker 8: I understand that people do this. I've never had to
- 2:45Speaker 8: match a pitch before, and I don't even I don't
- 2:47Speaker 8: even understand, but I.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Would do that. So do you hear?
- 2:50Speaker 8: Like?
- 2:50Speaker 1: How genus? Do you hear what I just did? Give
- 2:53Speaker 1: me another one? Here's let's go up one D you are?
- 3:00Speaker 9: You were on D four a little flat dog, but
- 3:01Speaker 9: you're on dfour.
- 3:05Speaker 8: La.
- 3:05Speaker 1: See how I match it.
- 3:09Speaker 8: I don't see how you're matching. I've never understood how
- 3:11Speaker 8: people did this.
- 3:12Speaker 9: I don't. So do you hear you crying?
- 3:15Speaker 7: Because I don't hear a difference?
- 3:18Speaker 1: Love, We're probably not helping that one's tough to you
- 3:36Speaker 1: hear that?
- 3:37Speaker 6: Right?
- 3:37Speaker 9: No, it's not long.
- 3:38Speaker 5: Okay, we're talking all over it. Do the first one first,
- 3:44Speaker 5: the last one?
- 3:44Speaker 1: Regular? C okay?
- 3:49Speaker 2: No, See that's the thing that it sounds like you're
- 3:52Speaker 2: giving no effort all right to it, and you're you're
- 3:56Speaker 2: you're trying to recreate that pitch, that tone.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Lah not law lah, No, you got.
- 4:07Speaker 9: To do two.
- 4:08Speaker 1: I don't understand where they're not getting.
- 4:10Speaker 7: Doesn't hear Yeah, I want to start crying.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Hold on, hold on.
- 4:14Speaker 5: You should do do ones that are drastically different from
- 4:17Speaker 5: each other back to back without anybody talking, so you
- 4:20Speaker 5: can hear the difference.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Okay, do you.
- 4:24Speaker 8: Hear the difference in those two? No, there's no difference,
- 4:29Speaker 8: not really. It sounds a way that you're making it
- 4:31Speaker 8: sound like it should be.
- 4:33Speaker 9: That's see.
- 4:37Speaker 2: See is this kind of being colorblind?
- 4:40Speaker 7: I'm just gonna say that, that's what it sounds like.
- 4:43Speaker 7: It's like I'll see purple and you're like, I don't
- 4:45Speaker 7: get it, So I.
- 4:46Speaker 8: Don't I don't know what's going on right now?
- 4:49Speaker 1: Wow?
- 4:49Speaker 3: Outside of the tone, have you ever had regular hearing
- 4:52Speaker 3: tests like where they play the until you yeah, okay,
- 4:55Speaker 3: so you know there's a.
- 4:56Speaker 7: Note, but you just can't find it right.
- 4:59Speaker 8: But they don't sound that different.
- 5:02Speaker 3: I'm gonna play I'm gonna play two, so I'm gonna
- 5:03Speaker 3: play four into low right, but hi.
- 5:11Speaker 9: Okay that one?
- 5:11Speaker 7: Yeah, so it's to be really far apart.
- 5:17Speaker 1: High low. Can you at least try to copy what's
- 5:24Speaker 1: the high one here? Okay?
- 5:28Speaker 8: Sorry, okay, do it again, lah.
- 5:36Speaker 1: Okay, she was, she was, she was an F four. Okay,
- 5:39Speaker 1: then what about what about the low one?
- 5:40Speaker 3: All right, well she probably can't hit that, but I'll
- 5:42Speaker 3: try just for just for fun, law.
- 5:48Speaker 1: I mean, that's all.
- 5:49Speaker 8: That's all the range that I can tell anyways to
- 5:51Speaker 8: do something high.
- 5:52Speaker 1: I'm sorry, you're not gonna make the Woody show acquired
- 5:53Speaker 1: this way. That's fascinating.
- 5:56Speaker 3: And again we don't we don't blame you, Sammy, because
- 5:59Speaker 3: clearly if you can't hear the difference, that's it.
- 6:01Speaker 7: Felt like I was being blamed Truman.
- 6:08Speaker 1: I wasn't understanding. Nobody was yelling at no one's yelling
- 6:12Speaker 1: like it's just not getting.
- 6:13Speaker 4: The confusion was about your confusion. When you said I
- 6:17Speaker 4: don't get it, we said, okay, Watchwoody.
- 6:19Speaker 1: And then it was like the confusion is what is
- 6:25Speaker 1: making you confuse.
- 6:27Speaker 6: The confusion is we're not getting right now, we have
- 6:30Speaker 6: an audible example of what you.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Hear confusions on our side, like how.
- 6:35Speaker 6: Like it's literally like you like you said, like being colorblind,
- 6:38Speaker 6: like we all see green, You're like, I'm not seeing green.
- 6:40Speaker 7: I don't know what to tell you.
- 6:41Speaker 2: That looks the same as that color right there. It
- 6:44Speaker 2: looks the same to me. The first two examples are
- 6:47Speaker 2: just too close to each other. You had to do
- 6:48Speaker 2: like full octive down Yeah.
- 6:52Speaker 7: Okay, yeah, I can hear so that's the same note.
- 6:56Speaker 1: Butts right, wondering if you could match that.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Try to match trying to watch that lower one, please
- 7:03Speaker 3: if you can. Lah, Yeah, she's hitting f's when she
- 7:08Speaker 3: should be hitting C. She's having three steps, either too
- 7:11Speaker 3: high or something like a medical I don't.
- 7:13Speaker 8: Even I can't even tell what I'm doing. I'm just
- 7:15Speaker 8: trying to go low because I hear it's a low tone,
- 7:17Speaker 8: But like I don't know if there's a difference in
- 7:20Speaker 8: low tones, I can't tell them.
- 7:22Speaker 1: They all like sound mostly the same.
- 7:24Speaker 10: This is so interesting again, but I justest I thought
- 7:30Speaker 10: like tone deaf meant like when someone's tone deaf, I
- 7:33Speaker 10: just kind of I kind of just thought it was you.
- 7:35Speaker 7: You just can't put it back and replicate it.
- 7:38Speaker 1: Can you can? But apparently you can't even hear it.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Do you ever?
- 7:41Speaker 3: Like think of Mary Poppins, like do a dear female,
- 7:44Speaker 3: dear ray when you sing that myself and down do do.
- 7:55Speaker 1: Do raymi fossl lacho. So it's not every super that
- 8:00Speaker 1: very monotone.
- 8:02Speaker 8: But to me it sounds like it's like some of
- 8:05Speaker 8: the like some of the lower voice compared to a
- 8:07Speaker 8: high pitched voice.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Do they all sound the same to you?
- 8:12Speaker 6: Like?
- 8:12Speaker 1: Can you hear someone that get? You know?
- 8:15Speaker 8: I think, but I also think that like when something
- 8:18Speaker 8: comes out of my mouth, it sounds more correct, right,
- 8:24Speaker 8: more correct than it actually is. But that's because of
- 8:28Speaker 8: what I'm hearing obviously, like I don't.
- 8:31Speaker 5: It's kind of like when you hear your own voice
- 8:32Speaker 5: for the first time on a recording and you're like,
- 8:34Speaker 5: whoa that what I really sound like?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Yeah? Interesting?
- 8:38Speaker 5: Remember any swing machines are like, wait, I sound like that.
- 8:42Speaker 8: But that's typically why I my volume gets louder and softer,
- 8:46Speaker 8: because to me that's pitch.
- 8:48Speaker 7: Volume is pitch, not what you guys consider pitch.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I know I might get louder when.
- 8:55Speaker 4: I do so in your mind to hit a higher
- 8:59Speaker 4: note exactly.
- 9:03Speaker 2: Yeah, right, yeah, So someone of the text said auditory
- 9:09Speaker 2: processing disorder APD, and its thought that.
- 9:12Speaker 7: Was for like ideas, like you're not getting a concept.
- 9:16Speaker 2: Maybe it's just the way it was its processing of audio, right,
- 9:19Speaker 2: like the way that that you know, whatever the sound is,
- 9:21Speaker 2: the way that it comes in, you process it and
- 9:25Speaker 2: hear it or understand whatever, like the way that you registers.
- 9:28Speaker 4: Yeah, and it's not easy to replicate the notes, but
- 9:31Speaker 4: the concept is ease. But you know when you're wrong, right,
- 9:34Speaker 4: Like if it's like law and you go, you know
- 9:38Speaker 4: you're off.
- 9:40Speaker 1: It's not that you don't understand the concept. Yeah.
- 9:42Speaker 9: Right.
- 9:43Speaker 8: But even if even when I did it and you
- 9:44Speaker 8: guys were like, yeah, that was that was closed, I
- 9:47Speaker 8: was like, it was like, I just do a shot
- 9:48Speaker 8: in the dark, and I hope, but I have no
- 9:49Speaker 8: idea even if it's right.
- 9:51Speaker 9: That it is right?
- 9:51Speaker 1: Are you able to do an impression of anybody?
- 9:53Speaker 7: No?
- 9:54Speaker 1: Okay, does that makes sense?
- 9:55Speaker 6: I wonder if this can be taught, like pitch can
- 9:57Speaker 6: be taught, I don't know, yeah, or like.
- 10:00Speaker 1: Color blindness, the rain and Spain talls. What was that?
- 10:04Speaker 1: What was that?
- 10:04Speaker 7: That's annunciation? Yeah, that's from my fair lady.
- 10:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 10:08Speaker 2: In case you're wondering some definitely, I remember seeing the
- 10:10Speaker 2: play and I was like, oh, they were trying to
- 10:11Speaker 2: teach some girls something and.
- 10:12Speaker 7: Yeah the play versions Pigmalley and the musical.
- 10:15Speaker 3: Oh sure, yes you ever did you ever play an
- 10:17Speaker 3: instrument of any kind?
- 10:19Speaker 7: Uh?
- 10:20Speaker 8: Yes, so I I mean I tried the flute when
- 10:23Speaker 8: I was younger that didn't really work out.
- 10:24Speaker 7: And then during the pandemic, for my pandemic.
- 10:26Speaker 8: Hobby, I got keyboard and I had this little keyboard thing.
- 10:32Speaker 8: It was an app and I would go along with
- 10:34Speaker 8: it and it kind of taught you the keys and
- 10:36Speaker 8: everything along with that. So I would do it and
- 10:38Speaker 8: i'd get like one hundred percent. And my brother, who
- 10:41Speaker 8: is i mean just very smart when it comes to music,
- 10:44Speaker 8: he has a keyboard, two knows a bunch of instruments,
- 10:46Speaker 8: and I played it for him. I did one hundred
- 10:48Speaker 8: percent on this little app thing, and he just looked
- 10:50Speaker 8: at me and he goes, yeah, but you know, none
- 10:52Speaker 8: of that sounded right though, Like even though this app
- 10:55Speaker 8: was telling me I got one hundred percent, I was
- 10:56Speaker 8: still off.
- 10:58Speaker 7: See I didn't even know you're instructions and that's as
- 11:01Speaker 7: far as you.
- 11:01Speaker 8: Right, which was very like mechanical like, and I just
- 11:04Speaker 8: thought like, oh, I'm doing this, and my brother was like, no,
- 11:07Speaker 8: you're not even.
- 11:08Speaker 1: This is so interesting, all right, very interesting. I mean
- 11:12Speaker 1: you know, I thought, letting us study you. Yeah, it's fascinating.
- 11:16Speaker 1: So that she's trying we believe her she's trying. Yeah,
- 11:18Speaker 1: I must say you're not trying.
- 11:19Speaker 8: Well, you did say that to me at first, that no,
- 11:25Speaker 8: because that.
- 11:26Speaker 2: Was my way of describing, you know, because when when
- 11:29Speaker 2: it's like law and you go law like that, that's
- 11:32Speaker 2: like a low that's that sounds like a low effort
- 11:34Speaker 2: response like law like like it doesn't sound like you're even.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Trying to even if the note is completely wrong, right,
- 11:42Speaker 4: you would have expected at least like a law.
- 11:46Speaker 1: Supposed to like law. Right. So it was just my
- 11:49Speaker 1: way of describing they wanted a louder law, or.
- 11:53Speaker 4: You're not lying enough well, I mean, just some sort
- 11:55Speaker 4: of effort to make it replicate what you're hearing, right,
- 11:58Speaker 4: And the fact that you were you said, I don't
- 12:00Speaker 4: understand what I'm confused.
- 12:01Speaker 1: What do you mean like to repeat the note like
- 12:04Speaker 1: you understand? Sorry? English?
- 12:07Speaker 9: Right?
- 12:10Speaker 8: I don't want to file along.
- 12:12Speaker 1: Yeah, the concept was there.
- 12:13Speaker 9: And.
- 12:18Speaker 2: Time for today's dumb ass contests like the gentlemen, boys
- 12:21Speaker 2: and girls.
- 12:21Speaker 1: Let's play the.
- 12:24Speaker 9: Cue d u i Q sea bass.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Please explain the way the game works.
- 12:29Speaker 3: Everybody, I thought someone out on these streets has been biben,
- 12:32Speaker 3: and biben I should say drinking a lot, and I
- 12:34Speaker 3: ask them just the easiest questions.
- 12:35Speaker 1: In the world.
- 12:36Speaker 3: So you play the game not by answering the questions.
- 12:38Speaker 3: The drunk person's gonna answer the questions. You guess whether
- 12:40Speaker 3: they need to get the answer correct. If you guess
- 12:43Speaker 3: correctly twice out of three times, you win.
- 12:45Speaker 2: All right, eight seven seven forty four. Warning told you
- 12:47Speaker 2: to call in if you wanted to be our contestant. Today,
- 12:50Speaker 2: let's say hi to uh Sonya. Good morning, Sonia, Hello Sonya.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Are you ready to play?
- 13:00Speaker 8: Yes, sir?
- 13:01Speaker 2: Okay, Now, before we get into the questions that actually
- 13:03Speaker 2: count toward winning or not, what we're gonna do is
- 13:05Speaker 2: we're gonna get a little clip here to get a
- 13:06Speaker 2: better idea, just a with it or not with it.
- 13:09Speaker 2: Our drunk person that sea bass talk too is and
- 13:12Speaker 2: who is this person?
- 13:13Speaker 1: This is Leah.
- 13:14Speaker 3: And when I'm out taking to Uiq's typically the prostitutes
- 13:17Speaker 3: avoid me. They don't want to be around microphones and
- 13:19Speaker 3: cameras and that sort of thing. Every once in a while, though,
- 13:22Speaker 3: one will say, oh, hey, I'll play.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Hell yeah, set volunteer. Yeah, that's what Leah is. Today.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Business is slow. Here's Leah said.
- 13:29Speaker 9: You were indeed you're a working girl, is that right? Yes?
- 13:33Speaker 9: Prost you right? Why don't like that term? What term
- 13:36Speaker 9: do you like, Leah? Working girl? And how did you
- 13:38Speaker 9: get into the industry Leah?
- 13:40Speaker 7: Why?
- 13:40Speaker 9: I started off as a stripper?
- 13:42Speaker 1: Nice fun.
- 13:44Speaker 9: Yeah, I still strip.
- 13:45Speaker 3: What's the most like weird or interesting situation you've found
- 13:48Speaker 3: yourself in in this line of work?
- 13:51Speaker 9: Oh?
- 13:52Speaker 6: Always with the gays, with the gay guys, Hey guys,
- 13:55Speaker 6: shit you up?
- 13:56Speaker 9: Oh? I love them. I love sticking things and people.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Just for fun because they want stuff stuck in their butts.
- 14:07Speaker 1: I guess you could get a mail prostitu for that.
- 14:10Speaker 5: Back when I was starting off on the street team
- 14:13Speaker 5: and radio in San Francisco, we would pick up the
- 14:15Speaker 5: prostitutes all the time and give them rides.
- 14:17Speaker 1: Yeah, there's like pre uber so you know, just in
- 14:20Speaker 1: the Lord's word.
- 14:21Speaker 3: You're like, I'll say, the ones that really avoid me
- 14:24Speaker 3: are the ones on Bourbon Street.
- 14:26Speaker 1: This is Vegas, by the way.
- 14:27Speaker 3: Because they they they're they don't want any part of
- 14:30Speaker 3: anything because they were kind of having launched right half
- 14:32Speaker 3: the time. They're rolling people anyway.
- 14:34Speaker 1: Oh damn all right, So Sonia, uh that is Leah.
- 14:37Speaker 2: We're gonna try to guess if she Leah know the
- 14:40Speaker 2: answer to the questions, and you just got to get
- 14:42Speaker 2: two out of three in order to win today's round
- 14:45Speaker 2: of the d uy Q.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Menace and Sammy. You guys are stone cold, sober allegedly
- 14:48Speaker 1: mm hm as far as we know.
- 14:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and we're gonna see how you guys do on
- 14:53Speaker 2: these questions. Question number one.
- 14:55Speaker 9: Yemen, Oman and Qatar are all what?
- 15:01Speaker 1: Okay, the reason this is being asked, of course.
- 15:04Speaker 9: Yemen, Oman and Qatar are all what?
- 15:08Speaker 1: Climate? Are all? What? What?
- 15:11Speaker 4: Who wants to guess first? I'll guess first, and I
- 15:15Speaker 4: will start with a triple yes.
- 15:20Speaker 6: Yes, I'm going to also go triple but I'm going
- 15:24Speaker 6: to say no, triple no.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Triple no, okay, Uh, I will say that. Well, I'll
- 15:33Speaker 2: go with my typical no for Leah first, and I'll
- 15:37Speaker 2: say yes for Sammy and Menace. So no for Leah,
- 15:42Speaker 2: doubles Sammy and Menace.
- 15:45Speaker 10: Now what do you think, Sonia, It's no, You're.
- 15:50Speaker 1: Gonna say no that you won't get it all right?
- 15:52Speaker 1: Question number one, d y.
- 15:53Speaker 9: Q, Yemen, Oman and Qatar are all.
- 15:56Speaker 1: What menace countries? Sammy countries.
- 16:02Speaker 2: That's the answer we're looking for right, Okay, that's like
- 16:04Speaker 2: trick here because that's too easy.
- 16:06Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly. Wow, Yeah, that's that's what made it so difficult.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I think I get it because I couldn't tell is
- 16:13Speaker 2: there gonna be some kind of twist or trick here?
- 16:16Speaker 1: It's too easy, right. I don't think the prostitut will
- 16:19Speaker 1: get it though.
