- 0:31Speaker 2: All right, guys, welcome back EYL. We on our last
- 0:34Speaker 2: leg out hand in Atlanta, and yeah, we saved especially
- 0:38Speaker 2: one for our last episode that we were recording out here.
- 0:40Speaker 2: So if you live in Atlanta and you got opportunity
- 0:44Speaker 2: to attend our last that was actually our last live
- 0:46Speaker 2: event we was. We was on tour before Corona hit
- 0:50Speaker 2: and we hit Houston, we hit Chicago, New York City,
- 0:54Speaker 2: La Atlanta, and our last event, we had the biggest
- 0:58Speaker 2: event that we had. We had a live pot cast
- 1:00Speaker 2: and then we had a workshop the next day. So
- 1:03Speaker 2: the couple that's here today was guest on a live
- 1:05Speaker 2: podcast special. It was a dope event.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Who knew?
- 1:08Speaker 2: Who knew it would be our last one potentially for
- 1:12Speaker 2: a long period.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Of time grand closing.
- 1:15Speaker 2: That's a fact. So Jason and Halani label better known
- 1:20Speaker 2: as mister and Missus two.
- 1:21Speaker 5: Weeks lobdell, I got you.
- 1:24Speaker 4: I got you. He's like, wait did he say I
- 1:25Speaker 4: got you? Don't worry, I got you blobbed.
- 1:27Speaker 2: Out, better known as mister and Missus two weeks out
- 1:31Speaker 2: on Instagram. So they're killing the game right now. Fitness couple,
- 1:35Speaker 2: the first couple of fitness.
- 1:37Speaker 4: That's a fact.
- 1:39Speaker 2: Their co owners of a gym called the Laft Who Actually,
- 1:41Speaker 2: we've been working out at all week. It's serious. If
- 1:43Speaker 2: you're in Atlanta, you definitely a member at the Loft's.
- 1:47Speaker 5: I can feel my legs. Yeah, I can feel my
- 1:49Speaker 5: legs today today, I can feel my legs.
- 1:52Speaker 2: It's a coach of Hallani is actually a chief at
- 1:57Speaker 2: the fire Department.
- 1:58Speaker 4: Battalion Chief Deca County.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Yeah, right apartment. Jason actually also has an online subscription
- 2:05Speaker 2: service for working out called X twenty eight. We're going
- 2:08Speaker 2: to talk about that. And Helani is actually a fashion
- 2:10Speaker 2: designer as well. She has a clothing line called Body Envy.
- 2:13Speaker 2: Is that what you're wearing right now?
- 2:15Speaker 4: Only right? Only right, right right?
- 2:18Speaker 2: So it was an interesting conversation because we obviously didn't
- 2:22Speaker 2: know that COVID nineteen was going to change the entire world,
- 2:26Speaker 2: and it's been interesting to see how like entrepreneurs have
- 2:29Speaker 2: pivoted and made adjustments since COVID hit. So this is
- 2:33Speaker 2: actually a dope interview because this is the first interview
- 2:35Speaker 2: that we did where we already interviewed somebody pre COVID
- 2:39Speaker 2: and it was a story. But now we're going to
- 2:41Speaker 2: do the post COVID and it's a different story that's
- 2:44Speaker 2: going to show how a lot of entrepreneurs have actually
- 2:47Speaker 2: thrived through this if you were positioned correctly. So it's
- 2:52Speaker 2: going to be a very entertaining educational episode. But before
- 2:55Speaker 2: we start, thank you guys for rocking with us again.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Appreciate it.
- 2:57Speaker 5: Yeah, I was saying, like, y'all extended family. We've been
- 3:01Speaker 5: around each other so much, but now y'all officially alone.
- 3:03Speaker 5: Now this is it, this is this is what stamps it.
- 3:06Speaker 2: Yeah, and Jason actually had the vision because we wanted
- 3:11Speaker 2: to do this, Like after the podcast, he was like
- 3:14Speaker 2: you want to do He was like no, no, wait
- 3:16Speaker 2: because by he was like he was like, she's gonna
- 3:18Speaker 2: blow up like her clothing line. Obviously he didn't know
- 3:21Speaker 2: COVID was gonna hit but he like, nah, just next
- 3:24Speaker 2: time y'are coming to Yeah, so this is the next
- 3:27Speaker 2: time we're in town, so we're going to do it.
- 3:29Speaker 2: So let's let's Jason, I want to start with you.
- 3:31Speaker 2: So the last time we spoke, we talked about your
- 3:34Speaker 2: journey as far as you know, starting your gym, the
- 3:37Speaker 2: trials and tribulations that you had training Rick Ross, a
- 3:40Speaker 2: bunch of other celebrities. But one thing that we didn't
- 3:43Speaker 2: really talk about was what you started, which is the
- 3:46Speaker 2: online subscription, which is really really dope for a couple
- 3:50Speaker 2: of different reasons, and obviously now because of COVID has
- 3:53Speaker 2: really took off. So let's talk about that. Let's let's
- 3:56Speaker 2: talk about that, Like what what gave you the insight
- 3:59Speaker 2: before COVID to think, all right, I'm gonna be bigger
- 4:02Speaker 2: than just a personal trainer, bigger than just a gym owner.
- 4:05Speaker 2: I want to expand this and do something online.
- 4:09Speaker 3: So with Instagram, like I said, I was late to
- 4:11Speaker 3: the party got on Instagram twenty fifteen, everybody was already
- 4:15Speaker 3: on there. But when I started getting on there, showcasing
- 4:17Speaker 3: my talent, posting my before and after pictures, things I
- 4:19Speaker 3: was actually doing in the gym.
- 4:21Speaker 6: It was an overwhelming response for people saying, hey.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Man, can you train me? Can you do Skype? Can
- 4:25Speaker 3: you do FaceTime? Can we do any kind of training?
- 4:27Speaker 3: I'm like, no, you gotta live in Atlanta. And that
- 4:30Speaker 3: just led to me seeking some type of somebody that
- 4:34Speaker 3: was already doing an online program I can team up with,
- 4:37Speaker 3: you know what I mean. So that's how that originated.
- 4:39Speaker 3: I found a guy who was doing programs, we linked
- 4:43Speaker 3: and we just started, you know, we created an actual X.
- 4:46Speaker 3: It was L twenty eight at first, and that was
- 4:49Speaker 3: X twenty eight, But that's where it came from. Man,
- 4:52Speaker 3: I just couldn't reach everybody. So many people on Instagram
- 4:55Speaker 3: that wanted to get trained and wanted to get the formula,
- 4:58Speaker 3: the system, and I couldn't reach them. So as soon
- 5:00Speaker 3: as I that online, Like our first year, we had
- 5:02Speaker 3: a girl lose one hundred pounds via the internet, you
- 5:04Speaker 3: know what I mean. So we had so many success
- 5:06Speaker 3: stories coming out the gate to where you know, it
- 5:10Speaker 3: blew up because of the results and things.
- 5:11Speaker 5: Was the campaign already in mind before when you started,
- 5:14Speaker 5: because like part of our story was like Ernie Lesia
- 5:18Speaker 5: started as a hashtag and I know you had that
- 5:20Speaker 5: Act twenty eight challenge as a hashtag. Was that the
- 5:22Speaker 5: campaign going into it is that something like, yo, we
- 5:25Speaker 5: can turn this into something huge if we use your hashtag.
- 5:27Speaker 3: Well, it really was my partner he came up with that,
- 5:31Speaker 3: with that part of it, you know, the actual branding
- 5:34Speaker 3: and you know, the hashtag and things of that nature.
- 5:39Speaker 3: I was more so like the driving force, like whatever,
- 5:41Speaker 3: whatever you say, let's go put it on their you know,
- 5:44Speaker 3: the systems whatever. But my partner had a lot to
- 5:47Speaker 3: do with that.
- 5:48Speaker 2: So all right, So what is actly is it's like
- 5:50Speaker 2: twenty eight days of different workout that you can do
- 5:53Speaker 2: at home.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Absolutely so basically it's like a thirty to forty five
- 5:56Speaker 3: minute workout. You can do it from your phone, you
- 5:59Speaker 3: can do it from laptop, whatever. You just press play
- 6:02Speaker 3: and it's a different workout every day for twenty eight days.
- 6:05Speaker 3: It's hit Cardio abs. Let me see it's yeah, just
- 6:12Speaker 3: cardio on ABS. Basically, that's what it's folks. That's what
- 6:14Speaker 3: the main form, the main program is focused on. But
- 6:18Speaker 3: again I have a beginner's challenge. I have extreme challenge
- 6:22Speaker 3: to my wife. She has lower body blasts or brought
- 6:24Speaker 3: her into it, and her program is actually the second
- 6:27Speaker 3: best selling program on my platform.
- 6:29Speaker 2: So does it because it's a description, right, Yeah, so
- 6:32Speaker 2: it's different every month.
- 6:33Speaker 6: Every month it is a different workout.
- 6:35Speaker 2: So do I want to talk about that because I
- 6:37Speaker 2: mean we did what we did before insanity?
- 6:40Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, we did.
- 6:45Speaker 3: Different workout every day.
- 6:45Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, it is, but it's but it's only like
- 6:49Speaker 2: a one time thing. It's like you're buy insanity and
- 6:51Speaker 2: it's like it's for a month, but that's it, like
- 6:55Speaker 2: you can still do it again time payment. So yours
- 6:59Speaker 2: is interesting because it's like an every single month right.
- 7:02Speaker 2: So all right, so it changes up every month.
- 7:04Speaker 3: For how does every every single month it's a different workout,
- 7:07Speaker 3: Like when we literally like change the location. We fly
- 7:10Speaker 3: to Miami to shoot the next month, we go here
- 7:13Speaker 3: to shoot the next month. We might be in the
- 7:15Speaker 3: mountains the next month, you know, so the workouts is different,
- 7:18Speaker 3: the location is different, you know. So we just try
- 7:20Speaker 3: to if somebody's gonna be sitting there staring at for
- 7:21Speaker 3: thirty minutes, we got to keep them engaged.
- 7:24Speaker 5: Yeah, so you're it's you shooting the content. You got
- 7:26Speaker 5: yourself and some trainers. Obviously my partner or that's dope man.
- 7:31Speaker 5: So how long does it take to actually shoot a
- 7:33Speaker 5: thirty day run?
- 7:35Speaker 3: So I'm gonna put you on some game trainers. What
- 7:38Speaker 3: we were doing, we were filming it all the way through.
- 7:42Speaker 3: We were literally pressing play and we were filming thirty
- 7:44Speaker 3: minute workouts. Right, But what's happening is after every workout,
- 7:48Speaker 3: it's forty seconds on, twenty seconds off, and you get
- 7:50Speaker 3: a break. So what we were doing working out for
- 7:52Speaker 3: forty seconds, taking twenty seconds off, giving them a.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Break, and we were doing the whole formula.
- 7:56Speaker 3: Well it's only about twenty two exercises, so we started
- 7:59Speaker 3: doing on is filming the twenty two exercises. Now it
- 8:02Speaker 3: only takes us twenty two minutes the twenty two exercises.
- 8:05Speaker 3: You get what I'm saying, and then we plug and
- 8:07Speaker 3: play like that.
- 8:09Speaker 4: Yeah, so you're shooting all the content and just chop
- 8:10Speaker 4: it up.
- 8:11Speaker 3: Yeah, we shoot all the content, and we got a
- 8:12Speaker 3: dope editor who comes in and you know, so we're
- 8:14Speaker 3: still doing the workouts, but we're not doing the whole
- 8:16Speaker 3: day one, day two, day three. A lot of people
- 8:19Speaker 3: are doing that. Yeah, it took us to you know,
- 8:21Speaker 3: about a six month period like damn, we got it
- 8:23Speaker 3: a easy way to do this after the work each
- 8:29Speaker 3: day all you know. So we just figured it out,
- 8:32Speaker 3: like yo, let's just shoot. How many workouts was it?
- 8:34Speaker 3: Twenty two? Shoot the twenty two workouts, get somebody plug
- 8:37Speaker 3: and play and boom. So now we can shoot. We
- 8:40Speaker 3: can shoot three months at a time.
- 8:42Speaker 2: That's why I was gonna ask you, like how many days?
- 8:44Speaker 2: How many months? So you shoot like a quarter, like
- 8:46Speaker 2: you shoot three months in three days?
- 8:48Speaker 3: Yeah, so what I Yeah, that's how we do. So
- 8:49Speaker 3: we'll go to Miami, right, we'll shoot one month. It
- 8:52Speaker 3: takes us a couple of hours, but we'll go to
- 8:54Speaker 3: Miami and we'll shoot against the beach, then we go
- 8:56Speaker 3: on the rooftop, and then we go somewhere else, you
- 8:58Speaker 3: know what I mean. So that those for the next quarter.
- 9:00Speaker 3: We got those exercises already mapped out.
- 9:02Speaker 2: So like one month is on the beach, one month
- 9:04Speaker 2: is on the rooftop, one month is on the bay, yep.
- 9:07Speaker 2: And it looks like it's different locations, and it's like
- 9:09Speaker 2: that's the month, and then in three months you'll do
- 9:11Speaker 2: it again in Arizona.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Absolutely.
- 9:13Speaker 5: Oh see, you already already know all right, we gotta
- 9:15Speaker 5: shoot for the next three Yeah, so holda you you
- 9:18Speaker 5: actually brought this guy into the fitness game.
- 9:21Speaker 7: I did.
- 9:22Speaker 5: So he talked about that because now it's like, you
- 9:25Speaker 5: mean I've seen the workouts. Actually I actually watched you
- 9:28Speaker 5: work I said, though, this is how is she doing this?
- 9:30Speaker 4: That lower body blast is different? What is it like
- 9:33Speaker 4: when you're shooting?
- 9:34Speaker 7: So it's easy for me, to be honest, the lower
- 9:38Speaker 7: body workouts, I mean that's what I do glut camp.
- 9:40Speaker 7: I mean I can go, I can do anything lower
- 9:42Speaker 7: body wise and just zone out and just do it.
- 9:45Speaker 7: So it's not hard. It's just the time factor for
- 9:48Speaker 7: me because I juggled so many things. So it's when
- 9:50Speaker 7: he says, okay, we got to have this day set
- 9:52Speaker 7: aside because we got to shoot x twenty eight, it's like,
- 9:54Speaker 7: look at my calendar. Okay, cool, I can do it,
- 9:57Speaker 7: you know, and shoot it. But yeah, it's just it's
- 10:00Speaker 7: not hard. It's easier for me to do it.
- 10:03Speaker 4: It's stelf watching it.
- 10:05Speaker 7: Right, And it's so funny because of the feedback there,
- 10:07Speaker 7: like you're killing us this month and I'm sitting here
- 10:09Speaker 7: like that's what I want to do is kill you.
- 10:11Speaker 7: But for me, it's it's easy.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Now it's a revolutionary way to actually, because gyms were
- 10:19Speaker 2: already becoming kind of obsolete and COVID just kind of
- 10:23Speaker 2: escalated that. So it's like, now, if you can just
- 10:25Speaker 2: work out at home for thirty minutes, you don't feel
- 10:27Speaker 2: like having to go out in the cold and run
- 10:30Speaker 2: to the gym and do all of that. And like,
- 10:32Speaker 2: what's the price, What's what's the subscription price?
- 10:34Speaker 3: So it's forty nine dollars for the twenty eight day program.
- 10:39Speaker 6: All programs are the same price, forty nine dollars.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Yeah, but we run fifty percent off all the time,
- 10:47Speaker 3: Like if you get in the first week of a challenge,
- 10:49Speaker 3: it's gonna be fifty percent off. So okay, somebody saying, okay,
- 10:52Speaker 3: twenty five dollars a go you know, I mean it's
- 10:55Speaker 3: a go get. It's a go get.
- 10:57Speaker 2: So it's twenty five dollars a month. How are they
- 11:01Speaker 2: do they get? The new content is like a website
- 11:03Speaker 2: that they log into.
- 11:04Speaker 3: So basically they go to the website, they click on
- 11:08Speaker 3: the website, and then you go to your program. Okay,
- 11:10Speaker 3: I mean Extreme, I click Extreme. As soon as you
- 11:13Speaker 3: hit Extreme, it has day one through twenty eight. You
- 11:15Speaker 3: go to day one, press play, I pop up doing
- 11:18Speaker 3: jumping jacks. You know what I'm saying, yo, Just like
- 11:23Speaker 3: you know, it's just it's it's twenty twenty. It's not
- 11:26Speaker 3: like the deep slide of the same especially the same
- 11:28Speaker 3: thing you put it in a DVD and you just
- 11:31Speaker 3: pressed play.
- 11:34Speaker 5: The first time I heard about X twenty eight, it
- 11:36Speaker 5: was Mike before we even knew like what this was
- 11:40Speaker 5: going on. Michaels like, yeah, you gotta try this. I'm
- 11:42Speaker 5: doing this and he was like, Yo, I'm trying it.
- 11:44Speaker 5: I've been I would lose the weight. I'm like, what
- 11:45Speaker 5: is this Dad? He's like, Nah, this is the best
- 11:47Speaker 5: work I ever. He's like, yeah, you gotta follow this page.
- 11:49Speaker 5: And I was like, oh, this is different. So your
- 11:52Speaker 5: story you told us last time on we did the
- 11:54Speaker 5: live obviously the Johnson story. What's the ratio now where
- 11:58Speaker 5: I know like a lot of women would coming to
- 12:00Speaker 5: to the poop camps and coming to the glue classes.
- 12:03Speaker 5: What's that race shield look like now? Is there more
- 12:05Speaker 5: man or is it? How we looking in terms of numbers.
- 12:08Speaker 6: As far as the physical gym location, Yeah, we'll both both.
- 12:11Speaker 3: What I will say this, I have a boutique style gym,
- 12:15Speaker 3: meaning that everybody in my gym sees a trainer, you
- 12:17Speaker 3: know what I mean. The most guys go get a
- 12:20Speaker 3: partner and.
- 12:20Speaker 6: They go to La Fit and it's not knowing what
- 12:22Speaker 6: the hell they're doing and just work out. I mean,
- 12:24Speaker 6: like I was that guy. I just went to hit
- 12:26Speaker 6: chest every day, you know what I mean.
- 12:27Speaker 3: So in my gym, like I said, since it's more structured,
- 12:30Speaker 3: it's literally eighty percent women twenty percent guys.
- 12:33Speaker 6: And the same thing online when it comes to paying.
- 12:36Speaker 3: For stuff like that, you know, guys normally don't unless
- 12:40Speaker 3: you got like a like my boy Mike Rashid, he
- 12:42Speaker 3: got like an Alpha Alpha program for guds. He follows
- 12:46Speaker 3: us the big bro. That's my man.
- 12:48Speaker 2: So hold on, let me ask you this because that's
- 12:50Speaker 2: interesting because since most of the people are women, do
- 12:54Speaker 2: you feel that as a woman, women want to see
- 12:58Speaker 2: men training them or because the reason why I asked
- 13:01Speaker 2: is I was used to work in the financial services
- 13:03Speaker 2: industry and I heard somewhere that they said that women,
- 13:06Speaker 2: like most men, want to work with men as a
- 13:09Speaker 2: financial advisor. Most women don't map it doesn't they don't
- 13:13Speaker 2: mind it being a woman or a man, like they'll
- 13:15Speaker 2: work with men or women the same. Do you think
- 13:18Speaker 2: that that's the same for training, Like do you think
- 13:21Speaker 2: women want to work with women or see a woman
- 13:24Speaker 2: instructor or they don't mind if it's a man or
- 13:26Speaker 2: a woman.
- 13:26Speaker 7: I think it's really a little bit of both you have.
- 13:29Speaker 7: Personally myself, I prefer to work with a man, but
- 13:32Speaker 7: I have a lot of women that will reach out
- 13:34Speaker 7: to me, Hey, can you train me? I don't train,
- 13:36Speaker 7: and so I my husband does, and so you know,
- 13:39Speaker 7: they'll go on with him. So I think it's a
- 13:41Speaker 7: little bit of both. Some women they feel as if
- 13:43Speaker 7: being a woman you understand their body a little bit better.
- 13:46Speaker 7: So I want a female trainer. And then I happen
- 13:49Speaker 7: to think that a lot of the male trainers are
- 13:50Speaker 7: just a little bit more aggressive, a little bit more
- 13:53Speaker 7: you know, you know, And so depending on what soil
- 13:56Speaker 7: of training you like, you like that, you know, and
- 13:58Speaker 7: so it's like I want somebody to be on me,
- 14:00Speaker 7: you'll be a little harder on me. So I think
- 14:02Speaker 7: it's a little bit of both, to be honest with you,
- 14:04Speaker 7: it just depends on the person's personal preference. And I
- 14:07Speaker 7: find that women who are a little bit more timid
- 14:10Speaker 7: and shy in the gym. They want that female attention initially.
- 14:14Speaker 2: So let me ask you this because you guys, you
- 14:17Speaker 2: have a marriage obviously, but you have a business partnership
- 14:20Speaker 2: as well. But even in the business partnership, it's like
- 14:23Speaker 2: technically like your business partners even if you're not business
- 14:26Speaker 2: partners right, because it's like you said before, you was
- 14:28Speaker 2: like the gym, is is your gym just because y'all
- 14:31Speaker 2: have married. Like now what I'm saying, it's like he's
- 14:33Speaker 2: part of your clothing line because y'all married. So how
- 14:35Speaker 2: does that because a lot of couples might be listening,
- 14:38Speaker 2: how does that go into play as far as to say, okay,
- 14:40Speaker 2: like we're gonna talk about body envy, which is like
- 14:43Speaker 2: your your brain child, but if Jason gives input, it's
- 14:47Speaker 2: Jason your business partner in this or.
- 14:51Speaker 7: He is he is although I didn't necessarily want him
- 14:54Speaker 7: to be, he is. He automatically just becomes it. And
- 14:57Speaker 7: it's so funny because I have someone shouts out to
- 15:01Speaker 7: iman Dad. She handles a lot of things on Instagram
- 15:04Speaker 7: for me in terms of finding influencers and things to
- 15:07Speaker 7: do marketing. She'll communicate with him like She's like, I
- 15:10Speaker 7: talked to Jason already and Jason said this, this and that,
- 15:11Speaker 7: and I'm like, but you know, you gotta I make
- 15:15Speaker 7: the final decision, right, you know. So it's like, you know,
- 15:17Speaker 7: automatically we're partners, no matter if we want to be
- 15:20Speaker 7: or not. But it works because I can get complacent
- 15:24Speaker 7: and when I think, Okay, you know I've done enough,
- 15:26Speaker 7: this is good enough, He's like it's not. You're only
- 15:30Speaker 7: operating at thirty three percent. And I'm like, what do
- 15:32Speaker 7: you mean I do XYZ And he's like, no, but
- 15:35Speaker 7: you can do this, this and that to make your
- 15:37Speaker 7: business grow and be better. And I have to admit,
- 15:40Speaker 7: you know, he's been an entrepreneur way longer than I have.
- 15:43Speaker 7: I'm new to the game. He's been doing this for years,
- 15:46Speaker 7: and so I got to sometimes take a step back
- 15:48Speaker 7: and be like, you know what, Yeah, unfortunately I don't
- 15:52Speaker 7: like to hear it all the time, but this is
- 15:53Speaker 7: the best business partner that's.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Right, you know.
- 15:56Speaker 5: I saw him wear in the temetip man. I said
- 15:58Speaker 5: go ahead, Yeah, so how does that work now? Especially
- 16:03Speaker 5: with covid And we kind of spoke about it when
- 16:05Speaker 5: we walked in. Having that work life balance. Now that
- 16:08Speaker 5: kids are homeschool, what has that been?
- 16:10Speaker 2: Like?
- 16:10Speaker 5: I know, you the chief, you got the business running,
- 16:12Speaker 5: you got the gym, Like, what is that like.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Now for you?
- 16:17Speaker 7: COVID has actually made things better. I hate to say
- 16:19Speaker 7: it that way, but it's allowed me personally to slow
- 16:22Speaker 7: down a little bit more so, Like you know, with
- 16:24Speaker 7: the classes. We're not doing the classes at the gym
- 16:26Speaker 7: right now obviously, so I don't have to worry about
- 16:28Speaker 7: Saturday mornings. I got to go to the gym and teach.
- 16:30Speaker 7: Whether I just got off of work, off of twenty
- 16:32Speaker 7: four hour schedule that morning, I still got to go
- 16:34Speaker 7: to the gym and do that. I don't have to
- 16:35Speaker 7: worry about that. The kids' sports, they're not doing that
- 16:39Speaker 7: right now, you.
- 16:39Speaker 4: Know, so no soccer moms.
- 16:42Speaker 7: Kingston just started football again just this week. But you know,
- 16:45Speaker 7: it was just allowed things to kind of calm down
- 16:47Speaker 7: a little bit. Who were confined to the house. What
- 16:49Speaker 7: allowed you to really sit down and really focus on
- 16:51Speaker 7: your business and what you needed to do to grow
- 16:53Speaker 7: your business, grow as a family, and just really kind
- 16:56Speaker 7: of revamp things. It's been although it's turned the world
- 17:00Speaker 7: upside down, this virus, it's kind of been a blessing
- 17:02Speaker 7: in other areas.
- 17:03Speaker 4: That's true.
- 17:03Speaker 5: Okay, Yeah, I saw Instagram trying to hate on you.
- 17:06Speaker 5: You have posted the workout video. They took you down.
- 17:10Speaker 7: I do get me sometimes I'm like, please just let
- 17:12Speaker 7: me be great.
- 17:13Speaker 2: They sense it. They sensitive.
- 17:14Speaker 5: There was music playing something like that music that's crazy?
- 17:18Speaker 2: Is that right? That I want to talk about before
- 17:22Speaker 2: I got one my question about Jay so Jason, So
- 17:25Speaker 2: the revenue model for for this subscription service, like how
- 17:31Speaker 2: like what how much money are you guys bringing in?
- 17:34Speaker 2: As far as like revenue, there's really no overhead.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Right, so now we have This is the thing about
- 17:41Speaker 3: online Your overhead is as big as your business. You
- 17:44Speaker 3: get what I'm saying. So when we first started, we
- 17:46Speaker 3: didn't have any overhead because we were doing everything ourselves.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Now we got a team, like literally people at cubicles
- 17:52Speaker 3: answering the phone. We got customer service, we got this.
- 17:54Speaker 3: We have customer we have yeah, we have that.
- 17:58Speaker 6: We have email, like people just on hand twenty four
- 18:00Speaker 6: hours a day. Because it's grown.
- 18:03Speaker 2: So much, people having issues with the game and stuff
- 18:05Speaker 2: like that.
- 18:06Speaker 3: All that, but you can at a click of it.
- 18:07Speaker 3: But by the time you finished, you will see that
- 18:09Speaker 3: bubble floating because we got somebody there, you go. But
- 18:13Speaker 3: like I was saying before, before COVID, you know, we
- 18:16Speaker 3: were doing our thing. I'll discussed numbers before. You know,
- 18:19Speaker 3: we were. We hit one hundred and twenty thousand, like
- 18:22Speaker 3: the first five months, and we never went up under that,
- 18:25Speaker 3: you know, but we just trended, you know, we got
- 18:27Speaker 3: a little higher, a little higher. But since COVID hit,
- 18:29Speaker 3: we went platinum. Baby. Oh okay, like you can see
- 18:36Speaker 3: you look at my ground, you see the private jets
- 18:38Speaker 3: and all that, like it hit, you know what I'm saying.
- 18:41Speaker 3: So we are blessed, you know what I'm saying. Fortunate.
- 18:45Speaker 3: And another part about X one y I never talk
- 18:47Speaker 3: about it is just the systems, you know what I'm saying,
- 18:49Speaker 3: the same thing selling my wife basic. Just just systems
- 18:52Speaker 3: that we have put in place. Right when I think
- 18:54Speaker 3: about the online program, I think about everything that goes
- 18:57Speaker 3: along with it. I'm sending them to the store to
- 18:59Speaker 3: get supplements. Nah, I gotta start making supplements. So we
- 19:01Speaker 3: got a warehouse and we started making supplements. I'm saying.
- 19:04Speaker 6: When it came to like the sweet sweat, you know,
- 19:07Speaker 6: the cream.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Now I got my own cream called lit, and it's
- 19:09Speaker 3: better than sweet sweat?
- 19:10Speaker 2: What's to call lit? What sweet sweat?
- 19:13Speaker 3: Sweet sweat is like a cream that you put on,
- 19:15Speaker 3: You put the repid stomach and it makes you. So
- 19:19Speaker 3: I've with us creating a seven figure business, We've also
- 19:24Speaker 3: been been able to create five other six figure businesses
- 19:27Speaker 3: within You know, I never even talk about my affiliate program,
- 19:30Speaker 3: But my affiliate program we made a quarter millon dollars
- 19:32Speaker 3: first year, and that's off of We created an affiliate
- 19:35Speaker 3: program for trainers who didn't have a program. They could
- 19:38Speaker 3: sign up as an affiliate and say, Yo, you can't
- 19:40Speaker 3: train with me, I'm affiliated at X twenty eight. You
- 19:43Speaker 3: can go on here through my site. You know what
- 19:45Speaker 3: I mean.
- 19:45Speaker 6: They get their own link in their bio and they
- 19:47Speaker 6: sell it.
- 19:48Speaker 3: What ended up happening is we made it available to
- 19:50Speaker 3: the ladies who were losing weight. Now you got soccer
- 19:53Speaker 3: moms who work a whole nine to five and this
- 19:56Speaker 3: and the third they're making three hundred dollars a month,
- 19:58Speaker 3: four hundred dollars a month, and we start looking like, damn,
- 20:01Speaker 3: Tanyana made twelve hundred dollars this month. You know what
- 20:03Speaker 3: I'm saying, Like, go Tanya. You know, it's like you
- 20:05Speaker 3: really you know, we're putting money back into you know,
- 20:08Speaker 3: the community too, going about it that way because they're
- 20:11Speaker 3: already telling people this is what they're doing that they
- 20:13Speaker 3: don't have nothing else to post but transformation pictures, so
- 20:16Speaker 3: not they making money that way. So you know, between
- 20:19Speaker 3: the affiliate program the actual gym, because that's how we
- 20:23Speaker 3: created the gym through X twenty eight. I had my gym,
- 20:26Speaker 3: he had his gym. We created an online program, we
- 20:28Speaker 3: got a gym together, you know, the affiliate program to
- 20:32Speaker 3: supplements the gym, my sweat cream, lit all that made
- 20:36Speaker 3: six figures plus, you know what I mean. So and
- 20:39Speaker 3: then we come through with another seven.
- 20:40Speaker 6: Figure business, you know with the body.
- 20:43Speaker 3: End, it's hers, but just hold the same household, you
- 20:47Speaker 3: know what I mean. Like it's fitness absolutely, and it's
- 20:51Speaker 3: like we were doing t shirt, we were doing stuff
- 20:53Speaker 3: and it's just like I had tights, I had all
- 20:56Speaker 3: that stuff. But it's like we ain't had no time
- 20:57Speaker 3: for it. It's in the third and people kept sending
- 20:59Speaker 3: her stuf. It was just like herself to do it.
- 21:03Speaker 3: She did it just took off.
- 21:05Speaker 4: You was read you predicted it.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I said, I was like, y, I'm like, nah, she
- 21:09Speaker 3: gained them momentum. Let's just next time we talk, she
- 21:11Speaker 3: gonna be at a minute.
- 21:12Speaker 2: So yeah, let's go to that. So body envy, body envy.
- 21:16Speaker 2: Last time we spoke, he was killing the game. How
- 21:19Speaker 2: has things changed since then? What with COVID? And uh,
- 21:23Speaker 2: how's how's the merchandise business going for you these days?
- 21:27Speaker 7: It's amazing it is.
- 21:30Speaker 4: We planned them in the streets again, we double plantum.
- 21:35Speaker 7: Listen. I didn't. I never dreamt that it would be
- 21:37Speaker 7: where it is right now. I really didn't. I had
- 21:39Speaker 7: no idea it would take off the way it did.
- 21:41Speaker 7: I and I have to say when COVID hit, I
- 21:43Speaker 7: told Jason, I was like, well, no need for me
- 21:45Speaker 7: to buy more inventory, because it's it's a rap right now.
- 21:47Speaker 7: I might as well just wait, sit back and see,
- 21:48Speaker 7: you know how this thing plays out. And then I
- 21:51Speaker 7: was like, well, let me just keep doing what I'm doing,
- 21:54Speaker 7: and literally it was just skyrocketing from there. I can't
- 22:01Speaker 7: I don't want to jump ahead. I don't want to
- 22:02Speaker 7: leave some things for later. But I mean, it's just
- 22:05Speaker 7: it's it's been a blessing. It really has. People weren't
- 22:09Speaker 7: able to go to the gym. They were doing workouts
- 22:11Speaker 7: at home, but they were like, I'm gonna be dressed
- 22:13Speaker 7: doing my workouts at home. I'm gonna look good doing
- 22:14Speaker 7: my workouts at home, and you know, eventually the world
- 22:17Speaker 7: will get back to normal, so to speak, and so
- 22:20Speaker 7: I'll be ready to hit the streets and my Body Envy.
- 22:22Speaker 7: So they were still just buying and buying and buying,
- 22:24Speaker 7: and I'm still producing and changing things up and customizing
- 22:28Speaker 7: so I don't see body and beyond. You know, this
- 22:31Speaker 7: person over there with a different name attached to it.
- 22:33Speaker 7: You know, I don't want to see that. And so
- 22:35Speaker 7: just changing things up and making it more exclusive and
- 22:39Speaker 7: setting it apart from some of the other brands that
- 22:41Speaker 7: other people have here in Atlanta. You know, we're doing that.
- 22:44Speaker 7: And I'm saying we're because this is my business partner,
- 22:47Speaker 7: so you know we're doing it. And I just what
- 22:49Speaker 7: was that Monday? Was it Monday? Tuesday? This week? I
- 22:53Speaker 7: just signed paperwork out for my Body Envy headquarters. Oh yeah,
- 22:58Speaker 7: it's got physic I do school location coming.
- 23:03Speaker 2: Just like a drop shipping center.
- 23:05Speaker 7: So it's it's it's an office space, yes, warehouse office space.
- 23:11Speaker 7: Of course, I'll be doing my shipments from their housing.
- 23:13Speaker 7: All the inventory they're allowing for store pickup. So not
- 23:18Speaker 7: a brick and mortar to viccent where they can come
- 23:20Speaker 7: there and shout, but they can they can pick they
- 23:22Speaker 7: can pick it up. Yeah, tensatively the end of next month.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Well that's quick. Yeah, I ain't playing.
- 23:31Speaker 7: It hasn't even been a year in business yet. I'm
- 23:33Speaker 7: still this is still, this is new.
- 23:38Speaker 4: The boxes in the hall, the.
- 23:41Speaker 7: Boxes, total chaos right now.
- 23:43Speaker 5: So it started out as apparel, but have you moved
- 23:46Speaker 5: into the eques like when you were working out.
- 23:48Speaker 4: There's like some equipment pieces now too.
- 23:49Speaker 7: So I have resistance vans and and that's actually how
- 23:52Speaker 7: I started was with resistance bands. Initially it was just
- 23:56Speaker 7: because I did I do lower body blasts with X
- 23:58Speaker 7: twenty eight and then with glue Care, it was let
- 24:01Speaker 7: me get my own fabric resistance bands, and so I
- 24:03Speaker 7: had that first. And that's how I started with e commerce,
- 24:06Speaker 7: was with that. And so every now and then I'll
- 24:08Speaker 7: put it back online with body Envy. But truly it's
- 24:12Speaker 7: mainly apparel.
- 24:13Speaker 5: So the only place can is it the place the
- 24:14Speaker 5: only place they can get it at the website or
- 24:17Speaker 5: is it like if I go on Amazon, I type
- 24:18Speaker 5: in body Envy, it'll be up there too.
- 24:20Speaker 7: It's coming. That's on the way. Amazon is on the way.
- 24:24Speaker 2: So let me ask you. Before I used, I know
- 24:27Speaker 2: he was getting merchandise from Ali Baba, which is located
- 24:31Speaker 2: in Chinese. To China, it's like the Chinese Amazon. Anybody,
- 24:34Speaker 2: it's not familiar. So with COVID, especially at the beginning
- 24:36Speaker 2: stages of COVID, a lot of shipments from China wasn't coming,
- 24:39Speaker 2: or it was delayed, whatever, how that affect. Did you
- 24:42Speaker 2: get a new supplier or I.
- 24:43Speaker 7: Did so I found two suppliers in La Okay. But
- 24:46Speaker 7: I have to say everything slowed down, even the La Connects,
- 24:49Speaker 7: although they're in the United States. Everything slowed down, and
- 24:52Speaker 7: so we did take a hit, so to speak, with
- 24:55Speaker 7: the inventory because we had to wait.
- 24:57Speaker 3: Shout out to my boy Barn Pakistan, shout them.
- 25:04Speaker 7: Yeah connect now. So I still do utilize Ali Baba.
- 25:09Speaker 7: I still utilize my California Connects as well. And now
- 25:11Speaker 7: I have somebody in Pakistan and we still have delays.
- 25:16Speaker 7: But what I do is I just order so much
- 25:18Speaker 7: so that when the delays HiT's I got this coming
- 25:21Speaker 7: from here, this coming from there. So I never have
- 25:23Speaker 7: a dead area whatsoever because something is always coming.
- 25:28Speaker 3: But she got time to tell the real quick the
- 25:31Speaker 3: Shopify story.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Of course, let's do it because some people first running back.
- 25:40Speaker 7: Yeah, okay, So I purchased the resistance vans for my class.
- 25:44Speaker 2: That's what it was for. This is how it originally started.
- 25:47Speaker 7: Yes, this is the beginning of Hallani being an entrepreneur.
- 25:50Speaker 7: Period before Body and got nobody inv was even going
- 25:53Speaker 7: to exist. It was just teaching glue Camp. I'm using
- 25:56Speaker 7: Latex Resistance vans from a company that sent them to me,
- 25:59Speaker 7: and I'm like, we got to try something different. Went
- 26:02Speaker 7: to Ali Baba ordered my fabric resistess bands, had them customized.
- 26:06Speaker 7: They say glue Camp Atlanta on it. At the loft,
- 26:09Speaker 7: got them in. Jason is like, you need to sell
- 26:11Speaker 7: these things online. I ain't buying him sell them all
- 26:14Speaker 7: Lite sounds like I only had one hundred of them
- 26:16Speaker 7: my bottom from my class. He's like, man, set up
- 26:19Speaker 7: a Shopify. I didn't even know what a Shopify was,
- 26:21Speaker 7: you guys, It's like, what is that? Go to shopifa
- 26:24Speaker 7: dot com.
- 26:24Speaker 6: I did once.
- 26:25Speaker 7: Shopify literally set up the account in five minutes. I
- 26:28Speaker 7: went in my closet on the hardwood, took a picture
- 26:31Speaker 7: of the band, put it on the site, put it
- 26:33Speaker 7: in my story, like resistance bands available. Went to sleep.
- 26:37Speaker 7: Walk up the next morning and it was probably midnight.
- 26:39Speaker 7: One o't sleep, but I had to go to work
- 26:40Speaker 7: the next day. So I walk up at four forty.
- 26:42Speaker 7: It already made over four hundred dollars in those four hours.
- 26:45Speaker 3: And so I'm like, I told you, I told you.
- 26:51Speaker 7: He loves to hear that, he told me. But I'm like,
- 26:54Speaker 7: i made over four hundred dollars and I'm almost sold
- 26:57Speaker 7: out of this stuff, you know. So I went to work.
- 26:59Speaker 7: Needless to say, I had made over a thousand dollars
- 27:01Speaker 7: in less than twenty four hours. And I'm like, that's
- 27:04Speaker 7: pretty good.
- 27:04Speaker 8: You know.
- 27:04Speaker 7: I made five times what I spent on this stuff.
- 27:09Speaker 7: And this was not my initial intention was to do this.
- 27:11Speaker 7: It was the heaven from my class, you know. And
- 27:14Speaker 7: so with that that allowed me to see the power
- 27:18Speaker 7: of e commerce and the power of what you can
- 27:20Speaker 7: do online versus everything being you know, face to face.
- 27:24Speaker 7: Is that all you want me to tell?
- 27:25Speaker 4: That's it?
- 27:25Speaker 3: Because shopify not only that, but like when you do
- 27:30Speaker 3: so many, so much numbers with Shopify. A lot of
- 27:32Speaker 3: people don't know. We didn't know. Oh yeah, Shopify hit
- 27:35Speaker 3: us with the first loan.
- 27:36Speaker 2: What was it?
- 27:36Speaker 7: Yeah, so so And this came from just talking to
- 27:39Speaker 7: other people too, So you know, there was a lot
- 27:41Speaker 7: of things I didn't even know about. Shopify just even
- 27:44Speaker 7: shouts out to support black colleges. I met with Justin
- 27:48Speaker 7: and they have a clothing apparel line for college students.
- 27:54Speaker 7: And met with him at the gym and he's like,
- 27:56Speaker 7: he looked at my Shopify and he's like, hey, you
- 27:57Speaker 7: don't have all these apps integrated into shopif that you
- 28:00Speaker 7: need for your website. I had no clue any of that,
- 28:04Speaker 7: and I was using all my capital to just keep
- 28:07Speaker 7: pouring back into my business.
- 28:09Speaker 3: You know.
- 28:09Speaker 7: He was like, Shopify offer you a loan when they
- 28:12Speaker 7: see the amount of money that you're bringing in, the
- 28:14Speaker 7: amount of money that you're making off of their platform.
- 28:17Speaker 7: I had no idea. I went to the area where
- 28:18Speaker 7: he said, and there it was loans waiting three different ones.
- 28:21Speaker 7: It was forty six thousand, ninety three and one hundred
- 28:24Speaker 7: and twenty six thousand, and I'm like, I didn't even
- 28:26Speaker 7: know that was sitting there, and that was actually an
- 28:29Speaker 7: option from shopify.
- 28:30Speaker 2: From Shopify, you have to reach how much money do
- 28:32Speaker 2: you have to like bring in to get that? Is
- 28:34Speaker 2: there like a certain threshold or.
- 28:36Speaker 7: I don't know what the specifics are. It was sitting
- 28:40Speaker 7: there like do you want this? And so the first time,
- 28:43Speaker 7: you know, I was real conservative. I was like, let
- 28:44Speaker 7: me do the forty thousands clear?
- 28:47Speaker 2: Yes?
- 28:48Speaker 8: Right?
- 28:48Speaker 7: So I did it and literally in two business days
- 28:51Speaker 7: that forty thousand was in my account.
- 28:53Speaker 2: Wow.
- 28:54Speaker 7: And so you know, it was things like that that
- 28:56Speaker 7: we had no idea. I'm just using my money. I'm
- 28:57Speaker 7: just wiping my freaking debit card to do what I
- 29:00Speaker 7: need is to do not realize that I can use this.
- 29:02Speaker 7: And what they do is they take seventeen percent of
- 29:04Speaker 7: your daily sales to pay it back.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Oh so it's not is it an interest rate too?
- 29:09Speaker 7: A very small, very very small interest rate. And when
- 29:12Speaker 7: I say, you don't even notice what they're taken from
- 29:14Speaker 7: from you.
- 29:15Speaker 4: So after you paid, so they taken seventeen percent after
- 29:17Speaker 4: you paid a forty back and then you call for
- 29:20Speaker 4: another loan or how's that work?
- 29:21Speaker 7: So when you get to I want to say, it's
- 29:23Speaker 7: fifteen percent that you have left to pay, they'll offer
- 29:27Speaker 7: you another loan.
- 29:29Speaker 3: I need two hundred, They'll.
- 29:32Speaker 7: Offer you another loan. And that's a game changer in itself,
- 29:34Speaker 7: because you know, for a lot of people who have
- 29:37Speaker 7: these businesses, that's all they have, you know. Thank goodness,
- 29:41Speaker 7: we had what he has going on. And then, of
- 29:43Speaker 7: course with my fire department, body Envy was literally my
- 29:47Speaker 7: side business, that's what I called it, initially, my little
- 29:49Speaker 7: side business. And not realizing that my little side business
- 29:53Speaker 7: makes more for me monthly than my entire salary for
- 29:55Speaker 7: the year from the fire department, you know, and so
- 29:59Speaker 7: realizing that those other tools are options help to fund
- 30:03Speaker 7: your business and help to grow it. Who knew.
- 30:05Speaker 5: I think the last time we spoke, I think our
- 30:07Speaker 5: last words were You're like. You asked me if I'm
- 30:09Speaker 5: still teaching, and I said yes, I said, you are
- 30:12Speaker 5: still in the fire department. You said yeah, I said
- 30:14Speaker 5: maybe in a year stuff, And you said, yeah, I
- 30:17Speaker 5: think we're retired here too.
- 30:18Speaker 4: So are we there?
- 30:19Speaker 2: So did you stop teaching? That's the first question.
- 30:22Speaker 4: I have taken a year off. Yea, yeah, So clap
- 30:29Speaker 4: it up for that. So let's put you on the spot.
- 30:37Speaker 4: Now are we still talking about.
- 30:41Speaker 7: So I'm still there? I'm still there, you know. Okay,
- 30:43Speaker 7: this is my thing. So eighteen years in at this point,
- 30:47Speaker 7: I need to do twenty. I need to do twenty.
- 30:50Speaker 7: The reason I need to do twenty is to really
- 30:52Speaker 7: really solidify this pension that I have worked eighteen years for.
- 30:55Speaker 7: And that's the big picture I think too. What people
- 30:58Speaker 7: need to hear also is you can be an entrepreneur
- 31:00Speaker 7: and still keep your nine to five. That's what you choose,
- 31:03Speaker 7: you know, because at the end of the day, one
- 31:04Speaker 7: of the biggest expenses for entrepreneurs is health insurance pay
- 31:08Speaker 7: for We don't have to worry about can we go
- 31:10Speaker 7: to the doctor? Can our kids go to the doctor?
- 31:12Speaker 7: You know, it's there. And I have a pension. So
- 31:15Speaker 7: when I turn fifty years old, every single month on
- 31:17Speaker 7: the first I got this amount coming to my account
- 31:19Speaker 7: every single month like clockwork. So eighteen years and I
- 31:23Speaker 7: need to do twenty to really maximize what I have
- 31:26Speaker 7: done in these eighteen years. So two more years more.
- 31:31Speaker 3: The goal was working side hustle until the ride was
- 31:33Speaker 3: your main hustle. And I tell you, she works twenty
- 31:36Speaker 3: four hour shift, gets soft work, and she got a
- 31:38Speaker 3: stack this high until my slippers. She got to take
- 31:42Speaker 3: and package them and go hundreds of orders not anymore. Well,
- 31:45Speaker 3: we got help now, but you know the initial grind
- 31:49Speaker 3: was that was working twenty four hour shifts and coming
- 31:52Speaker 3: home and I just hear her the fax machine or
- 31:55Speaker 3: whatever that machine is upstairs, label printer, just just printing,
- 31:59Speaker 3: you know what I mean. But you know, to anybody
- 32:01Speaker 3: who's watching this, man, if you're working your job, you
- 32:03Speaker 3: know that's a that's just solid advice. You know, you
- 32:06Speaker 3: let your side hustle start rhyming your main hustle before
- 32:09Speaker 3: you just get out of there and bail, you know
- 32:10Speaker 3: what I mean. Damn there, make it to where you
- 32:12Speaker 3: gotta leave.
- 32:13Speaker 2: That's just my.
- 32:14Speaker 3: Opinion, you know what I mean. Yeah, definitely when your
- 32:16Speaker 3: bills has covered things of that nature.
- 32:18Speaker 2: So as far as the merch are you ordering it like?
- 32:21Speaker 2: Already done is print like the logo, everything is already
- 32:24Speaker 2: printed on it, and all you gotta do is ship it.
- 32:27Speaker 7: Yes. Now. Prior to I was pressing everything myself, okay,
- 32:31Speaker 7: So literally I have the I'm printing out the labels,
- 32:37Speaker 7: creating the labels, printing the labels out, peeling that crap,
- 32:40Speaker 7: pressing it on there. I have two heat presses. I mean,
- 32:43Speaker 7: we had a whole factory going and I was killing
- 32:46Speaker 7: myself from the twenty four hour ships coming home having
- 32:49Speaker 7: to press stuff package it. Then, like he said, I
- 32:52Speaker 7: had stacks of labels. I had to get this stuff
- 32:54Speaker 7: shipped out, and we're doing it. I had the kids involved.
- 32:55Speaker 7: I mean it was like hold on, everybody, hit upstairs.
- 32:58Speaker 7: We got to get this done, you know. And I
- 33:00Speaker 7: was really really killing myself. It became where my business was.
- 33:05Speaker 7: I wasn't enjoyable because it was so much work to do.
- 33:09Speaker 7: So now got smart. So everything comes already labeled up,
- 33:13Speaker 7: packaged up, and all we got to do is just
- 33:15Speaker 7: ship it. And I don't even ship anymore. I have
- 33:17Speaker 7: hired full time help and so now that's done too,
- 33:20Speaker 7: so I can, you know, take a step back and
- 33:22Speaker 7: handle the behind the scenes stuff versus being so hands
- 33:25Speaker 7: on with everything.
- 33:26Speaker 2: So even though it's more money, So like just give
- 33:29Speaker 2: me an example, like a shirt, Like if you had
- 33:31Speaker 2: to print it, how much would it be as opposed
- 33:34Speaker 2: to just having it already printed and all you got
- 33:36Speaker 2: to do is mail it.
- 33:38Speaker 7: It actually saves me money having them print it because
- 33:41Speaker 7: I would have to buy the vinyl, and the vinyl
- 33:42Speaker 7: you're buying big rings of it that might cost me
- 33:45Speaker 7: one hundred and fifty to two hundred dollars for those
- 33:47Speaker 7: rings on top of just the time that I was
- 33:50Speaker 7: putting in doing it, whereas with China having them do it,
- 33:54Speaker 7: they might charge me just one hundred dollars flat one
- 33:57Speaker 7: time because I have manufacturers that I use constantly, so
- 34:01Speaker 7: it will charge me one time, and that's to create
- 34:03Speaker 7: the mold for the logo. After that, they just do it.
- 34:06Speaker 6: I don't even hate erners.
- 34:08Speaker 4: What's up?
- 34:08Speaker 5: You ever walk into a small business and everything just
- 34:11Speaker 5: works like, the checkout is fast, the receipts are digital,

- 35:58Speaker 10: An illegal alien from Guatemala charged with raping a child
- 36:02Speaker 10: in Massachusetts. An MS thirteen gang member from Al Salvador
- 36:06Speaker 10: accused of murdering a Texas man of Venezuelan charged with
- 36:10Speaker 10: filming and selling child pornography in Michigan. These are just
- 36:14Speaker 10: some of the heinous migrant criminals caught because of President
- 36:18Speaker 10: Donald J. Trump's leadership. I'm Christy Noman, the United States
- 36:21Speaker 10: Secretary of Homeland Security. Under President Trump, attempted illegal border
- 36:26Speaker 10: crossings are at the lowest levels ever recorded, and over
- 36:30Speaker 10: one hundred thousand illegal aliens have been arrested. If you
- 36:33Speaker 10: are here illegally, your next you will be fined nearly
- 36:37Speaker 10: one thousand dollars a day, imprisoned, and deported. You will
- 36:41Speaker 10: never return. But if you register using our CBP home
- 36:45Speaker 10: app and leave now, you could be allowed to return legally.
- 36:48Speaker 10: Do what's right.
- 36:50Speaker 7: Leave now.
- 36:51Speaker 10: Under President Trump, America's laws, border and families will be
- 36:55Speaker 10: protected sponsored by the United States Department of Homeland Security,
- 36:58Speaker 10: Florida anymore real superwoman.
- 37:01Speaker 5: That's another thing that he said, superwoman man doing all
- 37:04Speaker 5: that doing Bible study.
- 37:05Speaker 2: I saw the other night.
- 37:06Speaker 4: I saw that.
- 37:09Speaker 5: I saw the guy who was looking I we ain't
- 37:11Speaker 5: gonna bring up the guy who was trying to record
- 37:12Speaker 5: and mess it up.
- 37:13Speaker 4: But so having the kids there and watching y'all hustle
- 37:17Speaker 4: like this, I mean, do you see entrepreneurism And is
- 37:20Speaker 4: this something that they are looking to do in the
- 37:21Speaker 4: future or they gonna running these businesses?
- 37:24Speaker 3: Well, my son, it was already in them, like he was.
- 37:27Speaker 3: I look up at the barbershop. He went to the
- 37:30Speaker 3: barber She went to tell the story real quick. He
- 37:32Speaker 3: went to the dropped him off at the barbershop, and
- 37:34Speaker 3: I go back to pick him up, and I'm looking
- 37:36Speaker 3: at there like that was taking a long time. I'm
- 37:38Speaker 3: looking in the door, and he got a broom. He's
- 37:40Speaker 3: sweeping around him. You know what I'm saying. That the
- 37:42Speaker 3: boy ain't show up that day, so he's sweeping barbershop
- 37:44Speaker 3: getting paid, you know what I mean.
- 37:46Speaker 6: So it got some point where he was like, da,
- 37:47Speaker 6: can you tell me the barber shop make some money?
- 37:51Speaker 3: Okay?
- 37:51Speaker 6: So you know that's kind of him. My daughter she
- 37:54Speaker 6: ordered some letters or something.
- 37:55Speaker 3: They're demmling dabbling in it now just from seeing us. Like,
- 37:59Speaker 3: my daughter ordered something some lighters or something.
- 38:02Speaker 7: Yeah, some I don't even know what they are, but
- 38:04Speaker 7: there's some lighters that the kids use or whatever. A
- 38:05Speaker 7: these kids smoking. But anyways, but my son, for sure,
- 38:11Speaker 7: he's been like a hustler since he's too. I mean,
- 38:15Speaker 7: you see it in them, and his whole thing is
- 38:16Speaker 7: he wants to take over whatever daddy's doing. So yeah,
- 38:20Speaker 7: my daughter, she's dibbling, dabbling, trying to find her way.
- 38:23Speaker 7: You know, when they see our back office, it's unreal
- 38:25Speaker 7: to them. And so when they see what you can do,
- 38:29Speaker 7: you know, just working for yourself and finding things that
- 38:31Speaker 7: you like in a way that you can impact people,
- 38:33Speaker 7: because we're impacting people with our businesses, you know, and
- 38:36Speaker 7: so when they see that, it's like, I want to
- 38:39Speaker 7: do it too. They're just trying to figure out how
- 38:41Speaker 7: Kingston is like I'm doing what daddy's doing. Riley is like,
- 38:44Speaker 7: let me find my lane and we'll go from there.
- 38:46Speaker 7: But I definitely can see them being entrepreneurs as well
- 38:49Speaker 7: the option to do it. Yeah, exactly.
- 38:51Speaker 2: So when you was we talked before, you said, like
- 38:53Speaker 2: your marketing originally was like influencers, Instagram influencers. They helped
- 38:57Speaker 2: push the brand. You're still doubling down on it, Like
- 39:00Speaker 2: how what's the marketing for both programs for the for
- 39:03Speaker 2: the fitness program and for the for the clothing brand.
- 39:05Speaker 2: How are you getting the word to the people, how
- 39:07Speaker 2: are you market Is it paid the ads? Is it influencers? Like,
- 39:10Speaker 2: what's the deal?
- 39:12Speaker 3: We got a team, shouts out to leon. We got
- 39:14Speaker 3: a guy who run our Facebook ads going crazy. Just
- 39:18Speaker 3: to give an example, like with ads a lot of time,
- 39:21Speaker 3: like when we first started doing our ads with X
- 39:23Speaker 3: twenty eight, we were just flipping money.
- 39:25Speaker 6: We were spending thirty thousand dollars making seventy thousand dollars.
- 39:27Speaker 3: Thought we were winning. We hired a company, you know,
- 39:31Speaker 3: and now it's three times that amount, you know, thirty
- 39:33Speaker 3: thousand and making three hundred thousand. You know, So we
- 39:35Speaker 3: just didn't know that.
- 39:37Speaker 6: So when it comes to like her business, same thing,
- 39:40Speaker 6: you know, get the experts to do it.
- 39:41Speaker 3: You know. I looked at Denmi dot com. I looked
- 39:44Speaker 3: at everything, trying to learn it myself, but I would
- 39:46Speaker 3: rather go pay an expert, you know. I mean, so
- 39:47Speaker 3: that's what we did. We got a guy who does
- 39:49Speaker 3: the Facebook ads. We got a girl who go get
- 39:52Speaker 3: the influencers for it.
- 39:53Speaker 2: That's just her job, that's what she just reaches out.
- 39:55Speaker 3: All she does is DM influencers and tell us yeah,
- 39:57Speaker 3: and they you know, come back with astronomy prices, nego.
- 40:02Speaker 2: What has been more effective the influencers or the Facebook ads? Ads?
- 40:08Speaker 3: Ads? Undefeated?
- 40:09Speaker 7: Yeah, because with me with body Envy, initially started, I
- 40:12Speaker 7: was my the face. I am the face of body Envy.
- 40:15Speaker 7: But it was me constantly promoting the brand. And then
- 40:18Speaker 7: it was okay, let's look to some influencers. But of
- 40:20Speaker 7: course that's trial and error. You'll think, Okay, someone has
- 40:23Speaker 7: a million followers, so surely they're gonna drive traffic to
- 40:26Speaker 7: your business. That they do nothing for you. I mean
- 40:29Speaker 7: absolutely not, And so that's so touch and goal, depending
- 40:32Speaker 7: on who you utilize. So Jason kept telling me you
- 40:35Speaker 7: need to start running ads, and I'm looking at him like, no,
- 40:37Speaker 7: I'm not running ads. I don't want to spend that
- 40:39Speaker 7: money on ads. I don't want to do it. Finally, finally,
- 40:42Speaker 7: it's been four this is a fourth month with running ads,
- 40:45Speaker 7: and I might spend whatever I spend, I'm going to
- 40:49Speaker 7: make six to seven times whatever I spend.
- 40:52Speaker 3: So I told you, don't encourage. We already did it.
- 41:01Speaker 4: Let's go, let's go.
- 41:03Speaker 7: I give him so much pushback sometimes, but I'm like,
- 41:06Speaker 7: I'm looking at the numbers and I know what they
- 41:07Speaker 7: spend on ads for X twenty eight and I'm like,
- 41:09Speaker 7: I don't want to do that right now, not realizing
- 41:12Speaker 7: that it was going to do what it did for
- 41:14Speaker 7: my business. And so like he said, shouts out to
- 41:16Speaker 7: Leon when Leon sends me my graphs at the end
- 41:19Speaker 7: of the month and he's showing me exactly which ads
- 41:22Speaker 7: did what, and I'm looking at those conversions and I'm like, whoa,
- 41:26Speaker 7: who knew. So now I don't really utilize influencer marketing
- 41:29Speaker 7: because I don't have to because he's getting he's pushing
- 41:32Speaker 7: my brand to people who they might not follow. Those people.
- 41:35Speaker 7: You know, it's the moms who are sitting in the
- 41:37Speaker 7: house that don't follow the celebrities so to speak. They're
- 41:40Speaker 7: just following you, you know, their friends on social media
- 41:43Speaker 7: and they're seeing it and they're able to buy. And
- 41:46Speaker 7: so the ads changed the game.
- 41:47Speaker 2: It really did the Facebook ads work. It's like somebody
- 41:52Speaker 2: said to us, like, if I gave you a dollar
- 41:54Speaker 2: and you gave me back five, how many dollars would
- 41:57Speaker 2: you give me?
- 41:59Speaker 3: That's exactly how exactly how it works. And I tell people,
- 42:05Speaker 3: but even like with the Instagram adds, I always use
- 42:09Speaker 3: Alex for example, like if you know, you know, you know,
- 42:11Speaker 3: I was being and Alex to run ass he wouldn't
- 42:13Speaker 3: do it, wouldn't do it. Now his ad got getting
- 42:15Speaker 3: him like ten times, as you know what I mean,
- 42:17Speaker 3: shout out to Alex. But before then, what he was
- 42:19Speaker 3: doing was when he had eight thousand followers. I remember
- 42:22Speaker 3: Alex had videos with one hundred thousand views. How the
- 42:25Speaker 3: hell is he getting? Is he just feeding here? Make
- 42:28Speaker 3: an ad and just feed it, put one hundred hundred
- 42:30Speaker 3: dollars behind it, and after the seven days would you
- 42:32Speaker 3: like to do it again? And he just kept feeding
- 42:34Speaker 3: this one at this ad making all the money on Instagram,
- 42:37Speaker 3: you know what I mean. But a lot of people
- 42:39Speaker 3: think that you have to have a large following. You
- 42:42Speaker 3: got to know people, you gotta know, you gotta know
- 42:43Speaker 3: what you're doing. You gotta you need to be watching
- 42:46Speaker 3: your leisure so you might have to watch watch a guy,
- 42:50Speaker 3: watch what the guys are doing. You know what I'm saying.
- 42:53Speaker 3: And that works for our business too, you know what
- 42:55Speaker 3: I mean. Like you just said, we literally sat down
- 42:57Speaker 3: with support Black colleges. Within the first five minutes of
- 43:01Speaker 3: that hour conversation, he saved us thousands of dollars with shipping.
- 43:04Speaker 7: Yeah, just for shipping.
- 43:05Speaker 3: The first five minutes of conversation, it was just like,
- 43:08Speaker 3: it's like, you're spending how much are shipping?
- 43:10Speaker 2: What did you you do the cut chipping costs?
- 43:13Speaker 7: Say that again?
- 43:13Speaker 3: Did you do the cut shipping cast?
- 43:15Speaker 1: Oh?
- 43:15Speaker 2: So what I did?
- 43:16Speaker 7: I had everything going out priority mail, Everything was priority.
- 43:19Speaker 7: He was like, you don't have to have everything going
- 43:21Speaker 7: out priorities regular MA just regular mail. At the end
- 43:23Speaker 7: the end of the day, it's gonna get there, you know.
- 43:25Speaker 2: And so you just got to wait two days.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Priorty means like one of two days versus yeah, one.
- 43:29Speaker 7: To two days. Regular mail is three to three. You
- 43:31Speaker 7: might wait one more day. And with COVID, priority mail
- 43:35Speaker 7: is not guaranteed to get there anyway, you know. And
- 43:38Speaker 7: so he saved me five six dollars per package.
- 43:41Speaker 2: Why did you Why would you do a priority You
- 43:43Speaker 2: just wanted to just happen.
- 43:44Speaker 3: I didn't know, we didn't know.
- 43:45Speaker 7: I did not know. Literally, it was well, this sounds good,
- 43:47Speaker 7: you know, once two days it gets there. So I'm
- 43:49Speaker 7: gonna choose that.
- 43:50Speaker 2: I must I must be real cheap because I always
- 43:52Speaker 2: do that, like pack Like, I'm like, I just watched it.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I say, whatever the cheapest option is, that's what I
- 43:58Speaker 2: want to do. Like you sure, like yes, yeah, cool.
- 44:03Speaker 7: I was so ignorant too, but I didn't even know
- 44:05Speaker 7: there was another option.
- 44:06Speaker 2: Oh you know, you're just rich, that's all.
- 44:08Speaker 4: It's different. You got different, good man.
- 44:12Speaker 2: You know you didn't. You didn't have to get the stamps.
- 44:15Speaker 2: It's all good. You appreciate take this to the mail
- 44:17Speaker 2: for me, send it first class or whatever. Trumpets and
- 44:22Speaker 2: the Eagle.
- 44:23Speaker 3: But she got us of packages. She's doing that with
- 44:27Speaker 3: just going I'm talking about Dan, hundreds of packages.
- 44:30Speaker 7: I did that for months. I did that from months
- 44:33Speaker 7: because I just did not know. I had no idea.
- 44:35Speaker 7: So it was literally, you know, taking the time to
- 44:37Speaker 7: reach out to somebody else in this industry, not in
- 44:40Speaker 7: the same exact industry that I'm in, because I can't
- 44:43Speaker 7: expect for that person to feed me the game, so
- 44:45Speaker 7: to speak. But he literally sat down with me and
- 44:47Speaker 7: was like, hey, you need these apps. Things like just
- 44:50Speaker 7: so when something's out of stock, back in stock apps
- 44:53Speaker 7: so they get notified when it comes back in stock.
- 44:56Speaker 7: Little things that you know you see all the time
- 44:58Speaker 7: when you're shopping online. But why you're not integrating it
- 45:00Speaker 7: into your own business, you know. But a lot of
- 45:03Speaker 7: times you just don't know that that's an option to
- 45:05Speaker 7: do it. You think these are big brands and so
- 45:06Speaker 7: that's why they have these options, and not realizing that
- 45:09Speaker 7: you can have them too. And so he gave me
- 45:11Speaker 7: eleven different apps to add onto my platform, and I
- 45:14Speaker 7: reached out, shout out to Continental g He handles all
- 45:17Speaker 7: my web stuff for me, and he integrated everything for me.
- 45:22Speaker 7: And so it's done. Now. They have all the different options.
- 45:26Speaker 7: They have the timer when they check out, they have
- 45:27Speaker 7: you know, when something comes back and sock.
- 45:29Speaker 2: So what's the system that you haven't like? All right?
- 45:31Speaker 2: I go to BODYNV dot com.
- 45:34Speaker 3: App.
- 45:35Speaker 2: Okay, they have an app now? So yeah, all right,
- 45:42Speaker 2: so I go I ordered something. Now what happens? It
- 45:45Speaker 2: goes to your assistant or somebody they get it. And
- 45:51Speaker 2: what's the process.
- 45:52Speaker 7: So I have an assistant who works. She works Monday
- 45:55Speaker 7: through Thursday. That's her schedule. She only works five hours
- 45:58Speaker 7: a day. It's all that's necessary. And and say, for instance,
- 46:01Speaker 7: today orders came in today. When she comes to work
- 46:04Speaker 7: on Monday, she logs in, she sees all the orders
- 46:06Speaker 7: that have come so she's gonna ship out Friday, Saturday,
- 46:09Speaker 7: Sunday orders on Monday go out Monday, she'll come in.
- 46:13Speaker 7: She's gonna do I'm sorry Tuesday, she's gonna do Monday's orders.
- 46:16Speaker 7: So she's always like a day behind. So she'll ship
- 46:20Speaker 7: out the orders. So if you're getting their orders very quickly,
- 46:22Speaker 7: and if something has to be pressed, so to speak,
- 46:25Speaker 7: if something comes in and God forgive forbid, they forgot
- 46:28Speaker 7: to put the logo on it, she'll handle that. But
- 46:30Speaker 7: she handles everything as far as shipping, as far as
- 46:33Speaker 7: the handling of it. My marketing manager city. If they
- 46:37Speaker 7: have a discrepancy with something, they got the wrong size,
- 46:39Speaker 7: or they didn't like it, she handles that aspect of things.
- 46:43Speaker 7: So she'll respond to all the emails, she'll respond to
- 46:45Speaker 7: all the dms. I don't touch any of that, none
- 46:48Speaker 7: of that. Literally. I get a report at the end
- 46:50Speaker 7: of the day, like these are the things that took place,
- 46:52Speaker 7: these are the issues that we might have had today.
- 46:54Speaker 7: This is how I address them.
- 46:55Speaker 3: And that's that.
- 46:57Speaker 4: Love so Ja, I'm gonna put you on the spot.
- 46:58Speaker 4: Man body.
- 46:59Speaker 5: Mv's doing well. A lot of streams coming in. Do
- 47:02Speaker 5: we have a male version in the works. Or is
- 47:05Speaker 5: that something that you're thinking about?
- 47:07Speaker 3: You know what, We were playing with a couple of
- 47:11Speaker 3: pieces again, Like I said something about guys. I don't know.
- 47:14Speaker 3: It's just one of different wear the old shirt, cut,
- 47:17Speaker 3: sleeves off. I do it, you know what I mean?
- 47:20Speaker 3: Like I get fresh too at the gym, but I'm rare,
- 47:23Speaker 3: you know what I mean. I go to gym dead fresh,
- 47:24Speaker 3: but majority of the guys gonna put on a T shirt.
- 47:27Speaker 4: They don't care.
- 47:28Speaker 3: Yeah, they just yeah. So it's not really it's a.
- 47:30Speaker 7: Little harder to reach the guye market. So you know,
- 47:33Speaker 7: we got a few tanks. We might do T shirts,
- 47:35Speaker 7: but I don't think. I'm not going to say we won't.
- 47:38Speaker 7: But it's not like on the priority.
- 47:40Speaker 4: List right now, gotcha.
- 47:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's keeping like I always heard with clothes, you
- 47:44Speaker 2: don't want to have too many different options. It's better
- 47:46Speaker 2: to have like fewer options. Is that your philosophy or
- 47:51Speaker 2: all right?
- 47:53Speaker 3: I would so like this shirt right here, this is
- 47:56Speaker 3: my shirt. Yeah, CEOs right, and we just have this shirt.
- 47:59Speaker 3: We have different colors and it's going crazy.
- 48:01Speaker 6: You know what I'm saying, is doing this thing I
- 48:03Speaker 6: think about Maddy j.
- 48:05Speaker 2: C shirt assets over liabilities.
- 48:09Speaker 3: Assets, change the color, guys, get guys gonna buy these shirts.
- 48:15Speaker 4: You know what I'm saying, So they're gonna work out
- 48:17Speaker 4: in these shirts.
- 48:18Speaker 7: Wear different women are different. We want a variety, you know,
- 48:21Speaker 7: with ath leisure wear. I mean you can wear this
- 48:23Speaker 7: stuff whether you go into the gym, here, doing a podcast,
- 48:26Speaker 7: you know, howerful way you want to change it up,
- 48:28Speaker 7: I'll put it almost some slides in a bag and go,
- 48:31Speaker 7: you know. And so we need more options because we
- 48:34Speaker 7: wear it for different things. It's not literally just dedicated
- 48:37Speaker 7: to just going to the gym. Yes, ath leisure wear,
- 48:40Speaker 7: so what.
- 48:41Speaker 2: Does that mean? You can put heels on with it,
- 48:43Speaker 2: so you slash athletics, slash leisure, ath leisure.
- 48:46Speaker 7: Athleisure exactly. So variety is better. So what I do
- 48:51Speaker 7: is I have drops every Friday. So every Friday, if
- 48:55Speaker 7: you have the app at eleven am, whatever I'm dropping
- 48:57Speaker 7: for that day, Like today, I dropped four new sets,
- 48:59Speaker 7: so you have access to it on the app at
- 49:00Speaker 7: eleven am. The masses online have access to it at
- 49:03Speaker 7: twelve pm. Every single Friday. We do new release drops
- 49:07Speaker 7: every Friday.
- 49:07Speaker 5: So are you a design team or we built up
- 49:09Speaker 5: We built out of the sign team. At this point,
- 49:11Speaker 5: I am the design are the design team. So every
- 49:14Speaker 5: Friday you're putting.
- 49:14Speaker 7: Out something, Yes, every Friday, I'm putting out something.
- 49:17Speaker 5: We gotta we gotta use the new names Superwoman in enough.
- 49:21Speaker 5: It's not fit, it's not fitting enough.
- 49:23Speaker 7: Several pieces, several pieces not enough.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Ye like I saying, Man, we had we've We've had
- 49:28Speaker 3: a lot of help. Even I know what is it?
- 49:32Speaker 3: My God versus everybody?
- 49:34Speaker 2: My God versus my enemy ship?
- 49:35Speaker 6: Yeah, my God versus my enemies. I'm in a mastermind
- 49:39Speaker 6: with him, you know.
- 49:40Speaker 4: Okay, I'm alumnia alumni and you know, just.
- 49:45Speaker 3: Like we in I got help so I can ask
- 49:47Speaker 3: these guys, hey, man, how you doing this? How you
- 49:49Speaker 3: doing that? You know that type thing.
- 49:50Speaker 2: Talk about that the master because that's one thing, especially
- 49:53Speaker 2: in Atlanta. I gotta you gotta do culture, which I
- 49:55Speaker 2: got like through like masterminds. Just talk about the importance
- 49:58Speaker 2: of that as far as just network can and building
- 50:01Speaker 2: and learning. That's one that's my favorite part about the podcast.
- 50:03Speaker 2: It's a great networking tool and a lot of the
- 50:05Speaker 2: people that we come in contact with, we keep relationships with,
- 50:08Speaker 2: and it's like, all right, now we're getting trucks and
- 50:10Speaker 2: Alex can help us with trucking, or we're doing options
- 50:13Speaker 2: and Mark helps us with options. So it's like different things.
- 50:15Speaker 2: We got pretty much anybody on speed out that we
- 50:18Speaker 2: can have it in an industry, whether it's mortgages or whatever.
- 50:21Speaker 2: So I don't think people fully appreciate that, But like
- 50:23Speaker 2: I said, that's something that you guys do. I think
- 50:25Speaker 2: every week you have like a meteor product, So talk
- 50:27Speaker 2: about like the importance of that and like how that's
- 50:29Speaker 2: actually helped you as well.
- 50:30Speaker 3: So what we try to do is just well we
- 50:32Speaker 3: got our core group of guys, but like Justin he's
- 50:36Speaker 3: in the he's like in.
- 50:38Speaker 2: What do you call that multi level marketing?
- 50:40Speaker 3: Four x four x, But yeah, most of multi level marketing,
- 50:44Speaker 3: but four x, you know, the trading him five hundred,
- 50:47Speaker 3: he does, the credit. Neil does every single thing about
- 50:53Speaker 3: let me see what everything I got my fitness and
- 50:57Speaker 3: my clothing line with my wife, you know, and Alex trucks.
- 51:00Speaker 3: But when you get together with a group of guys,
- 51:03Speaker 3: you start understanding that basic business principles apply across the board,
- 51:07Speaker 3: you know what I mean? Like I could literally say
- 51:09Speaker 3: that Alex wasn't running ass bro you need to run ass.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Now he makes six figures a month just from the
- 51:15Speaker 3: ad part, you know. Like I said, I'm saying, I'm
- 51:16Speaker 3: telling him that, but I just was on his ass
- 51:18Speaker 3: about that, you know what I mean. Some of the
- 51:20Speaker 3: things that Neil has implemented it in my business have
- 51:23Speaker 3: five hundred even understanding the credit and things that nature
- 51:26Speaker 3: trying to get my it's just so much, so.
- 51:29Speaker 6: Much value there, you know what I mean. So even
- 51:31Speaker 6: you know, when you guys.
- 51:32Speaker 3: Come in town, we start talking to y'all, and it's
- 51:34Speaker 3: just everybody from all different walks of life. You're gonna
- 51:36Speaker 3: be able to pick something out of something and apply
- 51:39Speaker 3: to your business, you know what I mean. So I
- 51:41Speaker 3: think that's very important because every week we've learned something new,
- 51:44Speaker 3: Like we're just learning. We know our port chops and
- 51:47Speaker 3: all that, but we learning every week, you know what
- 51:50Speaker 3: I mean. And it's a good vibe, good energy, and
- 51:52Speaker 3: we invite other guys in, you know what I mean,
- 51:53Speaker 3: put their input and pour into it. So we just
- 51:56Speaker 3: really just pouring into each other every week.
- 52:00Speaker 2: I want you to talk about the gym because you
- 52:01Speaker 2: said something internal like the gym is more so like
- 52:03Speaker 2: a flagship store at this point where it's like the
- 52:06Speaker 2: online is like the lion share of like revenue, but
- 52:09Speaker 2: the gym is like, like I said, that's kind of
- 52:12Speaker 2: how I look at it as more like a huge
- 52:15Speaker 2: brand that just has like one physical location, like a
- 52:18Speaker 2: fashion over. They used to have a store, a couple
- 52:20Speaker 2: of different stores, but most of their money's coming online.
- 52:24Speaker 2: So talk about that and like the importance of just
- 52:26Speaker 2: having that physical location because people say brick and mortar
- 52:30Speaker 2: is dead, but you're still doing both. You still have
- 52:31Speaker 2: a brick and mortar, but you're actually still executing online.
- 52:35Speaker 2: That's what I said too before COVID hit. I'm like,
- 52:37Speaker 2: to me, I don't feel brick and mortar is dead,
- 52:39Speaker 2: but I feel like if you don't have a way
- 52:41Speaker 2: to get money online, your brick and mortar isn't going
- 52:43Speaker 2: to survive. You can't just for a lot of days
- 52:45Speaker 2: of just having a hot dog standing think you're gonna
- 52:47Speaker 2: get riches over Like, no matter what you do, you
- 52:50Speaker 2: have to have in order to scale it. You have
- 52:52Speaker 2: to have an online situation. So talk about like, you know,
- 52:56Speaker 2: just having that physical gym and the importance of that.
- 52:58Speaker 6: Like I said to my friends, like, if you don't
- 53:00Speaker 6: have if your business is online, you don't have a business.
- 53:02Speaker 3: You know.
- 53:02Speaker 6: We just joke and say that, but it's it's it's
- 53:04Speaker 6: a lot of truth behind that, you know what I mean.
- 53:07Speaker 7: From your analogy for the gym in the online program.
- 53:10Speaker 3: So the gym is like my music video, and the
- 53:15Speaker 3: online program is the album. The music video is just
- 53:17Speaker 3: what you see that's gonna make you buy the app,
- 53:19Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like buy into the brand.
- 53:21Speaker 3: So when you look at my gym, you might see
- 53:23Speaker 3: a guy who gets about a wheelchair, you know what
- 53:26Speaker 3: I mean. And I'm documenting him every day. Now he's
- 53:28Speaker 3: out that wheelchair. You taking one step. Now he's running
- 53:30Speaker 3: across the gym. You see this one girl, she was
- 53:32Speaker 3: one hundred eighty pounds, now she's one hundred twenty pounds,
- 53:35Speaker 3: you know what I mean. So I like to keep
- 53:36Speaker 3: shooting there.
- 53:40Speaker 2: Hearts in.
- 53:42Speaker 4: Jim going there. Don't worry, I'm going there, you know.
- 53:44Speaker 3: And I know why you guys are watching my stories.
- 53:47Speaker 4: I know why you know what I mean, So but
- 53:49Speaker 4: keep recording them.
- 53:53Speaker 3: Let's say most definitely, I got a very entertaining online
- 53:57Speaker 3: you know, online presence, you know what I mean. But
- 54:00Speaker 3: like I say that gym. My partner, he hasn't been
- 54:02Speaker 3: in the gym in months. Don't We literally just don't
- 54:04Speaker 3: have to be there. I mean, but it's so funny.
- 54:07Speaker 3: Even after we made a million dollars first year of business,
- 54:09Speaker 3: and we did twice that second year of business, I'm
- 54:12Speaker 3: waking up at four o'clock in the morning, I'm going
- 54:14Speaker 3: to the gym at five o'clock opening the door.
- 54:17Speaker 6: I'm acting like I ain't made a dollar, you know
- 54:19Speaker 6: what I'm saying.
- 54:19Speaker 3: And I was telling my wife, like, you know, like
- 54:21Speaker 3: you never broke again, Like I don't want to do it,
- 54:24Speaker 3: you know what I mean, Like I don't want to
- 54:25Speaker 3: go back to what I was. So I just kept
- 54:27Speaker 3: that same energy, the same enthusiastics, the same price, you
- 54:30Speaker 3: know what I'm saying. I'm still charging people two hundred
- 54:32Speaker 3: dollars a month for unlimited sessions five days a week.
- 54:34Speaker 3: That's ten dollars a session, you know what I mean.
- 54:36Speaker 3: No matter how many Rick Rossess, how many celebrities I've trained,
- 54:38Speaker 3: I've kept that same energy within the five year span
- 54:41Speaker 3: of me training. And I think in my mind that
- 54:44Speaker 3: me just not changing and going Hollywood, going left just
- 54:49Speaker 3: help my business.
- 54:50Speaker 4: You know what?
- 54:50Speaker 3: I'm saying, help the brand. Whatever we say. That's I
- 54:52Speaker 3: don't endorse a lot of stuff. You can't pay me
- 54:54Speaker 3: to post anything. So nine times ten if I endorse it,
- 54:56Speaker 3: if I say something positive about it or something like that,
- 54:59Speaker 3: people gonna buy into. We've proven time and time again,
- 55:02Speaker 3: like I can't pay it. We're not doing this for money,
- 55:05Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. I literally wake up in
- 55:06Speaker 3: the morning go because that's my passion. That's what I
- 55:08Speaker 3: want to do.
- 55:09Speaker 6: I want to help people get in shape. I want
- 55:11Speaker 6: to get them.
- 55:11Speaker 3: Boys out them wheelchairs.
- 55:12Speaker 6: I want to I got a kid that's shouts out
- 55:15Speaker 6: to Fresh real quick.
- 55:17Speaker 3: An Uber driver dropped a guy off, a blind guy
- 55:20Speaker 3: dropped them off at my gym, and I just dropped
- 55:23Speaker 3: them off at the top of the hill and left them, you.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Know what I mean.
- 55:25Speaker 3: So from that day forward, I picked Fresh up. I
- 55:28Speaker 3: go drive his house and pick him up every day.
- 55:30Speaker 3: So if you watch my IVY story, you're saying, damn,
- 55:32Speaker 3: he picked his boy up every day. You know, I
- 55:33Speaker 3: pick up a blind kid every sin. That wasn't my client,
- 55:36Speaker 3: but he came to my establishment and somebody did them wrong.
- 55:39Speaker 3: So that's my responsibility. Now just in my mind. But
- 55:41Speaker 3: like I say, people see that, you know what I mean,
- 55:43Speaker 3: I don't have to talk about it. A lot of
- 55:44Speaker 3: things that nature. But if you just keep keep that
- 55:47Speaker 3: same energy, I'm just a true believer in that.
- 55:50Speaker 5: That's what makes the break and mortar part successful at
- 55:53Speaker 5: this It's an experience. So if anybody's ever been to Atlanta,
- 55:57Speaker 5: never been to Atlanta, if you come to the law
- 55:58Speaker 5: office and experience like anything we've ever been to.
- 56:03Speaker 4: For a number of reasons.
- 56:06Speaker 5: Like that, for a number of reasons, but I mean
- 56:09Speaker 5: the atmosphere in itself, right, just from a working out standpoint,
- 56:12Speaker 5: like it seems like everybody is rooting for the next
- 56:15Speaker 5: person and everyone's challenged each other to be better better,
- 56:18Speaker 5: which is unlike any other experience.
- 56:20Speaker 4: Right, So you and your boy will go.
- 56:22Speaker 5: Is that like you w ingrained that from the star?
- 56:24Speaker 5: Is that when you start, Jimmy, like, you know what,
- 56:26Speaker 5: that's how I wanted to be Or did you kind
- 56:28Speaker 5: of just grow into that?
- 56:29Speaker 4: No?
- 56:29Speaker 3: I think it kind of start with the head honestly,
- 56:32Speaker 3: you know what I mean. I kind of said what
- 56:34Speaker 3: I was going to, like lay the ground rules, like
- 56:37Speaker 3: this is how we're gonna operate, you know, what I mean,
- 56:38Speaker 3: and it's trainers that come up. I run my gym
- 56:40Speaker 3: like a barbershop. You pay your renting there, but I'm
- 56:42Speaker 3: not taking everybody's money. You get what I'm saying. I
- 56:44Speaker 3: got a one of my managers, a flamboyant gay guy,
- 56:47Speaker 3: you know what I'm saying. He and they're doing cart
- 56:49Speaker 3: Willis splits and everything. But you better not look at
- 56:51Speaker 3: him funny, you know what I'm saying. Like he gonna
- 56:52Speaker 3: do his thing, and that's just what we're gonna do.
- 56:54Speaker 3: So I got the gangsters next to the gay boys,
- 56:56Speaker 3: next to the white girls, next to the grandma's next
- 56:58Speaker 3: to and everybody in their high five and they know
- 57:00Speaker 3: each other name. You know what's in family environment? You
- 57:03Speaker 3: know what I mean?
- 57:04Speaker 5: For an hour coming that gym and you zone out. Yeah,
- 57:07Speaker 5: when you hear that call, y'all got two minutes with
- 57:09Speaker 5: everybody on the floor.
- 57:10Speaker 3: Yeah, the whole gym.
- 57:11Speaker 5: Everybody well ground together, coolan abs.
- 57:17Speaker 2: That's a fact. So in the last segment, we're gonna talk,
- 57:19Speaker 2: we're gonna bring it home. We're gonna talk about the
- 57:21Speaker 2: scaling model moving forward and where you guys are taking
- 57:24Speaker 2: the brand in the next decade. All Right, So in
- 57:27Speaker 2: the last second, we're gonna talk about the scaling model
- 57:30Speaker 2: moving forward and how you guys take this brand to
- 57:32Speaker 2: the next level, because I feel like you started elevated.
- 57:37Speaker 2: And then there's always always as an entrepreneur, I feel
- 57:40Speaker 2: you always gonna constantly think Like me, I'm always paranoid
- 57:43Speaker 2: because it's like I never get a chance to celebrate
- 57:44Speaker 2: anything because I'm like, all right, what's next? Like you
- 57:47Speaker 2: know what I'm saying, Like Nick Saban, I never forget,
- 57:48Speaker 2: they asked Nick Saban or I wasn't Nick say was
- 57:51Speaker 2: the guy who used to coach Ohio State Urban Maya
- 57:54Speaker 2: when he was at Florida And they were saying, like
- 57:56Speaker 2: he had a panic attack after he won like back
- 57:58Speaker 2: to back championships because literally he was in his office
- 58:02Speaker 2: an hour later trying to recruit for next season. He
- 58:04Speaker 2: didn't even get a chance to celebrate the win. He's
- 58:06Speaker 2: thinking about like, y'all, I can't fall off. I just
- 58:09Speaker 2: want to I got to win three. So there's a
- 58:11Speaker 2: lot of pressure being an entrepreneur. So what what do
- 58:14Speaker 2: you guys, what are you envisioning like moving forward, like
- 58:18Speaker 2: what's next on the on the plate? As far as
- 58:19Speaker 2: scaling the brands, both of the brands.
- 58:23Speaker 3: So me first, well, we actually we were in talks
- 58:28Speaker 3: with some venture capitalists and they had this big old booklet,
- 58:32Speaker 3: all this paperwork to sign and things in nature. And
- 58:35Speaker 3: these are the guys who want to take it to
- 58:37Speaker 3: the next level, the Kardashian face of somebody like stuff
- 58:42Speaker 3: that we can't do.
- 58:42Speaker 6: We can't we can only do so much with what
- 58:45Speaker 6: we know.
- 58:45Speaker 3: I mean, but these people are the people who make
- 58:48Speaker 3: one hundred million dollars in the fitness industry and things
- 58:50Speaker 3: of nature. So you know, we've had to reach out.
- 58:53Speaker 3: And you know, we're just in talk so not saying
- 58:56Speaker 3: we're gonna sell the brand within the next three years,
- 58:59Speaker 3: but selling a portion or share. You know, they're talking
- 59:02Speaker 3: about public all this type stuff, you know, I mean,
- 59:04Speaker 3: so you better buy stocks and stuff.
- 59:06Speaker 2: But that's kind of like the next That's dope. I
- 59:09Speaker 2: can see that happening for sure. I'd be like the
- 59:11Speaker 2: next who's the people that make Beach Body?
- 59:14Speaker 4: Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah. Probably that visions other visions to
- 59:17Speaker 4: have multiple locations of the loft. Are we going to
- 59:20Speaker 4: try to replicate that on the cities because I could
- 59:22Speaker 4: have I mean way up in New York man.
- 59:24Speaker 3: Win talks with that too. Like I said, I and
- 59:26Speaker 3: it's another Venture Capitals. It's a black guy from Arkansas
- 59:29Speaker 3: came to the gym just this past week like, hey,
- 59:32Speaker 3: I've been a scout. Like damn there like a scout. Hey,
- 59:34Speaker 3: I just had to come see it in person. I
- 59:37Speaker 3: want to offer you this that you know what I mean,
- 59:39Speaker 3: this is what we do. We can scale it, you
- 59:41Speaker 3: know that type of thing. So just giving other people
- 59:44Speaker 3: parts of.
- 59:45Speaker 6: The brand, you know what I mean, it makes sense.
- 59:46Speaker 6: That's kind of like what's the next step?
- 59:49Speaker 2: Dope that dope, what's up for body envying?
- 59:53Speaker 7: So, you know, first and foremost getting this headquarters underway,
- 59:57Speaker 7: but just continuing to make it exclusive to create a
- 1:00:01Speaker 7: body env experience. You know, when you see the drops
- 1:00:04Speaker 7: and you see the theatrics behind the post, when you
- 1:00:08Speaker 7: just see just the brand in itself, you know that's
- 1:00:11Speaker 7: what it is. It's not going to be mistaken for
- 1:00:14Speaker 7: any other thing. But you know, body v is body
- 1:00:16Speaker 7: envy on its own, keeping things fresh, keeping it new.
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: This is my my retirement strategy, body envy, you know.
- 1:00:25Speaker 7: So I'm taking it very seriously and just making sure
- 1:00:27Speaker 7: that we just keep scaling upwards and like you said,
- 1:00:31Speaker 7: it's hard to celebrate your wins when it's just so
- 1:00:33Speaker 7: much pressure. When you're you start off doing well, it's
- 1:00:36Speaker 7: that pressure that you got to.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: Keep on doing well.
- 1:00:39Speaker 7: And so we're always constantly sitting at night in the
- 1:00:41Speaker 7: bed like, Okay, what's next, what's for this week? You know,
- 1:00:44Speaker 7: we take it week by week. It's hard for me
- 1:00:46Speaker 7: to envision ten years from now. It's just that's always
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: been hard for me with anything, but just making sure
- 1:00:53Speaker 7: that it's still in existence, you know, first and foremost,
- 1:00:55Speaker 7: and you know, possibly creating something from my daughter. She's
- 1:00:59Speaker 7: three years two years were graduating high school. She's in
- 1:01:02Speaker 7: the tenth grade, so possibly something that she can literally
- 1:01:04Speaker 7: graduate from high school and transition right over to this
- 1:01:07Speaker 7: and make six figures off the rip first, you know,
- 1:01:10Speaker 7: eighteen years old and continue from there take it over
- 1:01:12Speaker 7: from mom.
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: You know.
- 1:01:13Speaker 7: So it's a number of things that I'm playing in
- 1:01:16Speaker 7: my head in regards to body envy, but just making
- 1:01:18Speaker 7: it great and continuing to just keep doing what we're doing.
- 1:01:22Speaker 2: Ye know, that's dope, man. I think it's encouraging that
- 1:01:24Speaker 2: you guys are a couple working together and you got
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: separate brands combined brands and you're still working your regular job.
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: It's a lot of different things that's going on in
- 1:01:33Speaker 2: the pie and showing people that you know, there's really
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: no limit. There's no limit, and you always move further
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: as a team as opposed to like, you know, individual
- 1:01:42Speaker 2: fighting or being jealous. You could have been like jealous
- 1:01:45Speaker 2: of her, she'd be jealous of you. But y'all could
- 1:01:47Speaker 2: each do your thing.
- 1:01:48Speaker 4: You know this, This is that stay down till you
- 1:01:50Speaker 4: come up, gonna grind together, shining.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: But I don't think that's talked about enough either. A
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: lot of time the relationship people is jealous of somebody.
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: It's like subconsciously or consciously, like you know what I'm saying,
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Like they see an entrepreneur and it's like, all right,
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: I want that level of stardom. I want that, like
- 1:02:07Speaker 2: even though it's still the same, like y'all married, but
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: they're not supporting them like they used to support them,
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: Like they used to support them when it was broke.
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: But now when they reach a level, it's like you
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: start to look at the person a little differently, like
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: I should be that person that everybody knows.
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: I would just like to take this time out to
- 1:02:26Speaker 4: take my wife. I love you.
- 1:02:31Speaker 3: That's important, man, that's important because, like I say, some people,
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: you know, they actually they actually you have to get
- 1:02:37Speaker 3: jealousy jealous I didn't even know that it existed, you
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: know what I mean, Like I guess because we truly,
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: I truly look at her as me. We're the same person.
- 1:02:46Speaker 3: Like we spit kids out to get understand me, to
- 1:02:53Speaker 3: understand that I'm the same person. So even when she's
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: messing up, like I'm drilling in her head, like we
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: messing up, we gotta do it like this, you know
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: what I mean. So I just think that you know,
- 1:03:03Speaker 3: couples that try to, you know, start a hobby, get money,
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: hobby with your with your spouse, you know what I mean,
- 1:03:08Speaker 3: you'll be surprised. Way back in the day when I
- 1:03:11Speaker 3: was selling CDs, I was just selling CDs. I was like, man,
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: take some of these work. She took that work, came back,
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: everything was sold.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: I was like, we business partner.
- 1:03:21Speaker 3: Years ago.
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: That's what the ls.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: I'm a store, and you know I gave it to her,
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: and you know, it just was like damn, she can
- 1:03:30Speaker 3: do it too, you know what I'm saying. And now
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: I can duplicate myself.
- 1:03:33Speaker 7: Right, your partners I mean, marriage is a partnership. So absolutely,
- 1:03:39Speaker 7: you know at the end of the day, whether it's
- 1:03:40Speaker 7: you know, your partnership in life. And so if if
- 1:03:43Speaker 7: whatever he's got, I've got to whatever I've got, he's got.
- 1:03:46Speaker 7: And when you have that same mentality, there's no secrets.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: I know what's in his bank account. He knows it's
- 1:03:50Speaker 7: in my bank account. We share money. You know, it's
- 1:03:52Speaker 7: no you pay this, I paid that.
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: Everything is saying ya right. And so, like he said,
- 1:03:58Speaker 7: we're reflections of each other. If he's doing something on Instagram,
- 1:04:00Speaker 7: I might I might hit him up. Hey, take that
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: down because that's a reflection to me.
- 1:04:05Speaker 4: You've said that before. Yeah, take her now, Oh take
- 1:04:08Speaker 4: her Okay, it.
- 1:04:08Speaker 7: Ain't just her Like that's not a good luck taken
- 1:04:15Speaker 7: down now.
- 1:04:16Speaker 5: You know what I do love is that the energy
- 1:04:18Speaker 5: that he has in showing you off, like he I know,
- 1:04:22Speaker 5: he's a cameraan behind it because he's always doing an
- 1:04:23Speaker 5: ada somebody. Yeo, he really loves just shooting you man.
- 1:04:26Speaker 5: Fact and you can just feel the love there man.
- 1:04:28Speaker 5: So that that's a beautiful thing that's encouraging.
- 1:04:30Speaker 7: Yeah, that's that rooting that's that's wanting me to win too,
- 1:04:33Speaker 7: you know, and I can't. I love that so much
- 1:04:35Speaker 7: about what we have as a couple and I and
- 1:04:37Speaker 7: that had to be formed. I didn't just start off
- 1:04:40Speaker 7: that way. It had to be cultivated and wanting the
- 1:04:43Speaker 7: others to succeed, wanting the others to win. You know,
- 1:04:45Speaker 7: if he's if he's broke and broke, whether it's not
- 1:04:48Speaker 7: just financially, but mentally, I mean everything. If he's empty,
- 1:04:51Speaker 7: I am too. And so just being able to support
- 1:04:53Speaker 7: each other, back each other work together. People don't even
- 1:04:56Speaker 7: understand that you can work with your spouse and you
- 1:04:58Speaker 7: can enjoy working with your spouse. You know, it's just
- 1:05:01Speaker 7: gonna make you better and all the way around. It's
- 1:05:03Speaker 7: going to elevate you. And you know, the business is
- 1:05:05Speaker 7: going to elevate you personally, it's going to bring you closer.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: It's so many different facets that come out of working together.
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: Yeah it works. You know, it's a lot that you know,
- 1:05:18Speaker 2: I feel about that shatty. One day, I'm gonna get there.
- 1:05:26Speaker 5: It's coming, and yeah, they're just gonna live through me
- 1:05:30Speaker 5: for a while, vicariously through Troy.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: Oh Man. But now we want to thank you guys
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: for coming in. This is a very enjoyable episode. I
- 1:05:42Speaker 2: knew it would be, and we talked about the affiliate link.
- 1:05:45Speaker 2: So if you guys are interested in joining X twenty eight,
- 1:05:48Speaker 2: we're going to have the link posted on the description
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: of this if you're listening on Apple Spotify, if you're
- 1:05:54Speaker 2: watching it on YouTube, but also have it on our website.
- 1:05:57Speaker 2: We'll put your link on the website as well. For
- 1:05:59Speaker 2: body Envy and yeah, you guys can can find out
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: all the information if you want to join. Support support
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: and not only support, but actually benefits. I'm a big
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: I'm a big believer. I don't think you should just
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: buy anything just out of support. That's more of a
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: charity thing. And when you can actually get benefit for something.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: So you're talking about taking your health and you know,
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: sitting in your home, your living room, being able to
- 1:06:21Speaker 2: work out for twenty five dollars a month, I mean,
- 1:06:23Speaker 2: if you're not willing to invest twenty five dollars in
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: your health, when you spending twenty five dollars a month
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: on once, you're random nonsense, like you know what I'm saying, Like,
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: what do you really have to lose at that point?
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: It's like, even if you only work out a few
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: days a month, it's worth It's probably worth one day,
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: it's probably worth twenty five dollars. So for me, that's
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: how I always look at any kind of nutrition or
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: workout anything like that. I never skim on anything like
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: that because I feel like your body is your most
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: important investment. If your body's not right, no matter how
- 1:06:53Speaker 2: much money you have, no matter what, you can't fully
- 1:06:55Speaker 2: operate and it's not you're not going to feel good
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: about the situation. So I highly encourage everybody to start
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: eating well, to work out, and during this time of COVID,
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: this is a perfect opportunity. You home a lot, you
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: can pick up weight just watching Netflix, just eating. It's
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: like being in college, you know what I mean, in fifteen.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the COVID thirty right now.
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: Yeah. And also you know we talked about mental health
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: as well. It's like we got to watch depression and
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: things that nature. And it's been proven that the more
- 1:07:28Speaker 2: you work out, the more you're endorphins flow. It stops
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: that you know, you're staying at home or time that
- 1:07:33Speaker 2: can lead to depression, that can lead to high levels
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: of anxiety. So just managing that, working out, eating well,
- 1:07:40Speaker 2: running cardio, stuff like that you'd be surprised of, like
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: how that actually influences and affects you on a mental level.
- 1:07:48Speaker 2: So it's a lot of different stuff that you know,
- 1:07:51Speaker 2: we everybody, but especially we as black people, we have
- 1:07:54Speaker 2: to take our health more serious and we have to
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: become more health conscious. So I encourage everybody to check down.
- 1:07:59Speaker 5: As I said, it is gonna be well wealthy. We have,
- 1:08:01Speaker 5: we have tried and tested. It is worth it, sure
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: for sure.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: So yeah, so we got the links and all of
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: our bios and we're gonna have the links on the website.
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: Outside of that, how can the people reach you guys
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: on social media? Twitter, website? Like, what's all the information?
- 1:08:17Speaker 2: What do you want to tell people?
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: So you can reach me personally? I'm at missus the
- 1:08:22Speaker 7: number two weeks out on ig, the body envy on

- 1:08:36Speaker 3: You mister two weeks out on Instagram. X twenty eight

- 1:09:05Speaker 4: all the way?
- 1:09:06Speaker 6: Yeah, teaching people what to do it four thousand dollars.

- 1:09:33Speaker 5: and we welcome any earned that that's thinking about it
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: to come on over and join us on the other

- 1:09:50Speaker 2: Yeah, Les University, Yo University is a whole culture within
- 1:09:53Speaker 2: itself and it's something that we're really proud of. Like
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: every week we do weekly webinars and like we call
- 1:09:59Speaker 2: all of our guests, so like your alumni, so it's
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: like a lot of the past alumni. They come and
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: they teach and it's like twenty minutes of teaching. Then
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: it's like half an hour of like zoom questions, so
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: like people actually get to ask them questions because a
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: lot of times it's like they pick up a lot
- 1:10:11Speaker 2: of information from the podcast, but it's still nothing like
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: socially interacting with these people. So it's really dope, and
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: everybody has just been really dope about it. So if
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: you guys ever want to teach a class on merch
- 1:10:24Speaker 2: or whatever, that'll be dope. But yeah, go to Eyo
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: University dot com if you want to sign up, and
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: thank you guys for rocking with us. We will see
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: you next week. Peace. Peace.
- 1:10:35Speaker 8: Buying a car in Carvana was so easy. I was
- 1:10:37Speaker 8: able to finance it through them. I just oh, wait,
- 1:10:39Speaker 8: you mean finance, Yeah, finance, got pre qualified for a
- 1:10:43Speaker 8: Carvana Auto loan and my terms and shot from thousands
