- 0:00[SPEAKER_02]: There's only two ways you can actually get access to funding.
- 0:02[SPEAKER_02]: One, you either have to have the credit score, right?
- 0:05[SPEAKER_02]: Or you have to have the revenue.
- 0:06[SPEAKER_02]: When you have a good credit score, you're showing underwrite as your reliable bar, right?
- 0:10[SPEAKER_02]: They can look at your credit profile and see, okay, this person pays people back.
- 0:14[SPEAKER_02]: Or let's say your credit score is not the best as mediocre.
- 0:16[SPEAKER_02]: If you have revenue in a business, a cash one in business, they can say, hey, this person may be so far, they're credit may be so far, but they're generating revenue.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_02]: It does not matter how many people are in the industry.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_02]: It does not matter.
- 0:27[SPEAKER_02]: what you went through is all it all matters is your actions from now on.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_02]: So the thing that's just scared to do is probably the thing that's going to help you level up from growth, we're revenue based lending, we don't charge the client, we actually get paid from the lender directly.
- 0:39[SPEAKER_02]: Up to 15%, the lending is very fine in the same terms, all the disclosures depend on what stayed there in and they send them the money and they send you your commission and you via a wire five business days later.
- 0:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you say you got him 273,000.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_00]: Really 21 days old, huh?
- 0:52[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 0:55[SPEAKER_00]: I hope he's someone to get funded.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 0:56[SPEAKER_02]: And not charging him anything.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to another edition of the social proof podcast.
- 1:02[SPEAKER_00]: We find incredible people that are doing incredible things in the world.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_00]: One thing I am seeing now, which I think is more important than ever, is how do you get money?
- 1:14[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:15[SPEAKER_00]: So you have a business, you have to make sales, you got to make the money, but some people can't get the business started because they don't have any money.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so let me ask you a question.
- 1:26[SPEAKER_00]: Before you knew what you knew, before you knew what you know, you're working a job, you're, let's just say, you're working in Applebee's, you got this idea for this business and it's going to take about $30,000, you're head to get started.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: Before you knew what you know today, how would you go about getting money?
- 1:46[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, Mama said back then, she's worked and saved, and that's most
- 1:53[SPEAKER_02]: That's the only thing, like we weren't really taught financial literacy or just banking, finance, and different things.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of us would probably, well, me, first, I'll speak for myself.
- 2:02[SPEAKER_02]: We would talk to stay away from credit.
- 2:04[SPEAKER_02]: We thought credit was bad.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_02]: There was no such thing as like 0% interest.
- 2:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 2:09[SPEAKER_02]: A promo rate, so anything like that.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_02]: So my only option was to just work and save.
- 2:15[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why when I found out about credit, it was like an alarm went off.
- 2:18[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, wait, you cannot have the money.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_02]: have a structure credit profile, and be able to secure funding, and then it be 0% interest at that.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_02]: So with me before getting to the information I knew, it would honestly just be saving.
- 2:32[SPEAKER_02]: And I think that's where most people think on a day-to-day basis is, hey, like, if my family doesn't have the money, if I don't come from money, the only thing I can do to do is work hard.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: My answer was so weird.
- 2:47[SPEAKER_02]: What would you go say?
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: So we, we're having a job at the same rate of 30,000, you need 30,000, where are you going to get the 30,000?
- 2:55[SPEAKER_00]: It takes you in a whole year to make the 30,000, and you have to live off the 30,000, but if you sell a little weight on the side, you can have a thriving career, but of course that's illegal, isn't it?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: So, stebmen, welcome to this show, man, go ahead and introduce yourself.
- 3:11[SPEAKER_02]: So, if you guys don't know my name is Steadman Wade, everybody calls me Stead.
- 3:15[SPEAKER_02]: I'm somebody that came from being an athlete, my whole life, that's what I identify with when for being a depressed athlete to really being able to separate myself from football, right?
- 3:25[SPEAKER_02]: If I didn't make it in football, if I had a bad day, I'd practice, I was having a bad day in general.
- 3:29[SPEAKER_02]: So I had to, you know, go do identity crisis, separate myself from football, to work in Incorporate America for a few years as a electrical engineer, actually here in Atlanta, for Georgia Power.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_02]: This was actually my region, where we are in Atlanta, this is actually my operating region.
- 3:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it's crazy to come back.
- 3:44[SPEAKER_02]: Being there, being underwork, undervalue, underpaid, to, you know, figuring out credit what that long come off and from their men, it was a gain changer.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to talk to people on how,
- 3:58[SPEAKER_00]: I think it's starting building out, building out their bank account, like making somebody, right?
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: We're still going to entrepreneurial stuff, things in that nature, but just so people know, what are some of your business highlights right now, like, what is your business doing then?
- 4:11[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so right now, we have a seven figure funding company, a little bit different than what you see on the internet when it comes down to it.
- 4:18[SPEAKER_02]: We classify class of ourselves as business loan brokers, as essentially the real terminology for it.
- 4:22[SPEAKER_02]: We're not actually lending out our money at the moment.
- 4:25[SPEAKER_02]: We're basically connecting business owners to lenders, whether that be private money lenders or financial institutions when it comes down to it, right?
- 4:32[SPEAKER_02]: So we offer different type of products.
- 4:34[SPEAKER_02]: Lines are credit, MCA's credit card stack and SBA's equipment financing.
- 4:38[SPEAKER_02]: You name it.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_02]: We do it and I feel like me being able to offer multiple different services.
- 4:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's what's allowed me to grow.
- 4:45[SPEAKER_00]: Now, I say, I, SBA alone, too.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I actually have an SBA alone.
- 4:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I got it during the pandemic.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: And the interest rate was like one percent.
- 4:56[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not paying it off ever.
- 4:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you got it running this whole 40 years.
- 5:01[UNKNOWN]: Ha ha ha.
- 5:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they said, it was something crazy.
- 5:04[SPEAKER_00]: It was like one percent, like 30, 40 years and stuff like that.
- 5:08[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I'm taking that for, I'm taking that money.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, I don't know how soon.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not really in a rush to pay it off.
- 5:15[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't be either.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_02]: I wouldn't be, I was strained that thing out as long as possible.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: No, this is actually my first time, like, in what I got, when I got it, and I wasn't even all the way prepared or structured and I had to income coming in the time.
- 5:31[SPEAKER_00]: I had, you know, my credit was okay, and I got to show them, I can show the income.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_00]: But when they sent me $55,000, I was like,
- 5:44[SPEAKER_00]: Bruh, does everybody know about this and I thought it was a mistake, but I want to say that because
- 5:49[SPEAKER_02]: that's what we do so like can you even explain to me what I got I don't know I just know it's one percent yeah so basically you just caught it at a very very good time during covid you know saying when it comes down to it so it's not one of those things where the SBA is not given nowhere near one percent no none that's you just caught at a very good time during covid uh... during the p p p p error and different things like that as well where then yeah the go the go the day
- 6:15[SPEAKER_02]: That that that it will probably hopefully never have been again because usually it only happens when the economy is doing really really bad, right?
- 6:22[SPEAKER_02]: But like you mentioned, I would stress that out.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_02]: I would not have any incentive to just pay that off anytime soon Because they will never see that type of rate.
- 6:29[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying anymore, but um SBA is helping a lot of different business owners, man Some of the misconceptions with SBA is the hope that people don't understand is that
- 6:37[SPEAKER_02]: It's home.
- 6:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's catered to more establish businesses.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_02]: You know to me it's not meant for you being a start up and and not having any revenue because obviously You got to provide tax returns Depending on what type of SBA was a seven-day you got a P&L statement debt schedule a lot of different moving components when it comes on towards Underright that file to get them funded
- 6:55[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you probably got it from a CDFI or it was a micro loan when it comes on to it So CDFI are smaller banks and they can lend up to around $50,000 on micro loan SBAs and under So with those it's typically less dox maybe like bank statements, maybe one of your tax returns You provide any of those yeah, so yeah
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, so they still provide those though.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they still offer those.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so I'm a business owner that has my tax returns and I you know I haven't okay credit profile That's a good avenue to get some some capital
- 7:28[SPEAKER_02]: a hundred percent when you have revenue so like even to break down funding in general to make it very simple there's only two ways you can actually get access to funding one you either have to have the credit score right or you have to have the revenue both of those are proof of concept when you have a good credit score you're showing underright is your reliable bar right they can look at your credit profile and see okay dispersion pays people back
- 7:50[SPEAKER_02]: We can trust in with X, right?
- 7:52[SPEAKER_02]: Or let's say your credit score is not the best.
- 7:54[SPEAKER_02]: It's mediocre.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_02]: If you have revenue in a business, a cash one in business, they can say, hey, this person may be so far.
- 8:00[SPEAKER_02]: They're credit may be so far, but they're generating revenue, right?
- 8:03[SPEAKER_02]: We can see that what they're revenue are generating.
- 8:06[SPEAKER_02]: They can pay this back, and that justifies them when they give you money.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_02]: Doesn't make sense?
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: It does.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_00]: And now I'm thinking back over my life because I've leveraged loans before.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: So and when you were saying, when you just said it, I was about to rebuttal and say, oh, why don't you need both?
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: However, there's been a time when I had great credit, but I didn't have a whole lot of revenue coming in.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: And I got approved and I had a good credit, but also when I opened my store and opened a store in 2014 and it's out the cab mall and I don't know if this is I guess yeah, this is funding they gave me I had like revenue coming in because I like two kiosks and another mall.
- 8:50[SPEAKER_00]: I had the revenue coming in
- 8:51[SPEAKER_00]: and what they did was they gave me, I want to say it was like $30,000, but they took a certain amount off my processing, off of every sale, essentially, which I thought was cool.
- 9:06[SPEAKER_00]: So I remember only having revenue in no credit at the time.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: I don't even think they check my, I don't even think they cared, honestly.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, let me ask you a question.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't these banks care if you have bad credit or not?
- 9:19[SPEAKER_02]: So, it's not banks that don't care.
- 9:21[SPEAKER_02]: Banks do care.
- 9:22[SPEAKER_02]: You're not getting funding from actual banks.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_02]: Like you're not walking into a world's Fargo, a chase, a PNCA, and going to get money.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_02]: They have a credit box.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't meet that credit box, it don't matter how much money you're making, they ain't dang with it, right?
- 9:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's using private money, lenders, or smaller institutions that are like second opportunity institutions that will base funding off of your revenue.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because at the end of the day, whether you have bad credit, not you still have a demand for capital.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_02]: As I make sense, there's tons of people with bad credit that still need money, that make money, right?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_02]: And who's the service that market?
- 9:52[SPEAKER_02]: So what private money lenders, like an idea of financial lack of capital is like an ever, these are all lenders that we actually partner with to fund our clients.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_02]: Those businesses, I would say, establishments, they look at your revenue because they're like a second option for people that don't have decredit.
- 10:08[SPEAKER_02]: Because like I mentioned, if you go to a bank with a 550 credit score,
- 10:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care if you're making $500,000 a month.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_02]: They're still not going to fund you.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_02]: You know, just because you're not in that credit box.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_02]: But these other institutions, we call it alternative lending, is where they base lending off of your revenue and you're still able to get access to capital.
- 10:25[SPEAKER_02]: And is the beauty about revenue-based lending that people don't understand is that it's based off of your revenue.
- 10:30[SPEAKER_02]: So like how you said, they purchase your future receivables.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_02]: Meaning that they're only taking based off what you make.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_02]: right and I feel like some in some situations revenue based lending can be better than traditional because if somebody has good credit no proof of concept in the business given them a hundred thousand dollars can either make their life or ruin their life given the wrong people money can make their life you know saying or ruin their lives but we're revenue based lending you're giving them money only based off of their revenue doesn't make sense you're dealing with people that have proof of concept are actually making money right and you're only giving them what they can actually chew off doesn't make sense
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: I got you.
- 11:08[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: So you said there's two types of rev.
- 11:12[SPEAKER_00]: There's two types of funding.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: You out of that the credit or the money.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:15[SPEAKER_00]: You got to have one.
- 11:16[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 11:17[SPEAKER_00]: Do you get people a lot that don't have either that are saying, hey, I need some money.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: How can I do this?
- 11:22[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, for those people, unfortunately, you got to go through credit repair, you got to go through credit repair, right?
- 11:27[SPEAKER_02]: And that's just life when it comes down to it.
- 11:30[SPEAKER_02]: Nobody's born back credit.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_02]: People go doing four chain events.
- 11:33[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes we got to hold ourselves accountable.
- 11:35[SPEAKER_02]: You got to sit down that six, eight, 12 months, whatever it may be.
- 11:38[SPEAKER_02]: To fix that credit, too, going and get the funding you need.
- 11:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because banks are not in the business of charity.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_02]: Lenders are not in the business of charity.
- 11:45[SPEAKER_02]: They're in the business of making money.
- 11:47[SPEAKER_02]: So if you have back credit, you're showing the lender that you're on reliable bar, right?
- 11:51[SPEAKER_02]: And if you have no money, how do you pay back the money that I give you?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 11:56[SPEAKER_02]: Then it just becomes a charity, a grant.
- 11:58[SPEAKER_02]: And at that point, if we give him money, the people we know can't pay us back, can we really get mad at the folks?
- 12:04[SPEAKER_02]: so let me let's talk about that if that if someone's watching us right now they don't have the credit or the money they should turn off this episode right now I will say this there's going to be some high-level business strategies that we're going to talk about wait right because people don't understand that funding and credit
- 12:19[SPEAKER_02]: is a gives you an advantage in business.
- 12:22[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a lot of people that have no credit, no money, and still making a business it just becomes tougher to actually operate in business.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_02]: There's a bunch of people that start in sales with no money at all, but they have effort, they have grind, they have grit, and still make money.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_02]: With no credit, and no funding.
- 12:36[SPEAKER_02]: Most of America still doesn't know that you can actually leverage credit to get into business right or wrong.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_02]: how many mom and pop restaurants we know that man we started this from the ground up we started selling plates outside we eventually saved up our money to do this to do that so most of America is still not using credit I just feel like in the online space people think credit is the only option but in reality you shouldn't be questioning your credit you should be questioning your effort because at the end of the day you only lose when you stop
- 13:03[SPEAKER_02]: If you're willing to find the way, if you're willing to find the way to get around those circles, those obstacles, you're always going to win, you know what I mean?
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: So, what's the idea of credit score to where, like, I'm talking about first stage of credit score to even consider getting funding?
- 13:20[SPEAKER_02]: I would say this is too aspects of funding not breaking down a very, very simple.
- 13:24[SPEAKER_02]: On a traditional side, which is going to be credit base and you don't have to necessarily have revenue, you want to $700 credit score, right?
- 13:31[SPEAKER_02]: $700 is the target.
- 13:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, $700 is the target, but it's really a filter.
- 13:35[SPEAKER_02]: What I mean about that, it's a filter to say if you have less than 700, this may not be ideal for you.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_02]: But there's a difference between a 700 credit score that has a credit builder account and may be a trade line, 1st is an established 700, you want to establish 700, and if we break that down.
- 13:50[SPEAKER_02]: just going to do it really quickly.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes on the payment history, you don't want any little to no late payments to be honest, right?
- 13:57[SPEAKER_02]: Or if you have late payments that are older than two years, those are irrelevant, especially if you've got late payments from COVID, right?
- 14:02[SPEAKER_02]: On the rise of looking at your most recent 24 months of payment.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_02]: So during the COVID time, there was a bunch of late payments that would happen in the economy was basically dropping down.
- 14:14[SPEAKER_02]: So they understand, banks understand during that time, if you had late payments during that time.
- 14:18[SPEAKER_02]: So what I'm saying is, when they pull your credit report, if you have late payments that are owed in two years, they now become irrelevant because underwriters are looking at your most recent two years of financial history.
- 14:30[SPEAKER_02]: It's still affects the score though, correct.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_02]: Still affects the score.
- 14:33[SPEAKER_00]: What you're saying when I underwrite it, get to it.
- 14:34[SPEAKER_00]: They're like, okay, well, I'm just looking at the last two years.
- 14:38[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 14:40[SPEAKER_02]: And then moving down when it comes down to it, obviously you don't want any negatives, negative skin, tarnished, you know, you're your odds of being a proof.
- 14:48[SPEAKER_02]: Going down to accounts.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_02]: This is one thing that I talk about that a lot of people don't.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: People would say you need at least five accounts, eight accounts, ten accounts, and I kind of hate that because it's not true.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter how many accounts you have, it's the type of accounts you have.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Because undergraduates look at what we call comparables.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_02]: They want to see what is existing credit accounts you have in your credit profile to base an approval decision.
- 15:09[SPEAKER_02]: So let me give you an example.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_02]: If you're applying for a credit card, a bank is going to pull your credit report, and they want to see what is existing credit cards you have.
- 15:17[SPEAKER_02]: They want to see the limits on those credit cards.
- 15:19[SPEAKER_02]: how old they are the age on those the payment history on those credit cards and even the bank that issue that credit card right and based on that information They'll say okay, we will approve of the notice person makes sense same thing when you apply for a loan right We look at one of the one comparables.
- 15:34[SPEAKER_02]: They want to see how you handle loans in the past have you paid them off?
- 15:37[SPEAKER_02]: have you had a long time history of actually paying off loans and they use that information to approve you so when people tell you you need a least five account eight accounts ten accounts it's kind of irrelevant right because you can have five trade lines and those are technically accounts you can have five credit bill to kick off self and those again you much anything you know what I mean so you want to have an established credit profile and with those things you're able to go to these banks as a credit fund you need to.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_02]: Now on the revenue-based alternative side and that's the side like I really sign on, it's a little bit simple.
- 16:09[SPEAKER_02]: Like the B-Vaivaries, quite transparent.
- 16:11[SPEAKER_02]: If it makes money it makes sensitive.
- 16:13[SPEAKER_02]: Most parts, right?
- 16:14[SPEAKER_02]: You can have as low as a 500 credit score.
- 16:16[SPEAKER_02]: Sometimes they don't even check your credit.
- 16:18[SPEAKER_02]: Like you mentioned, but if you're making let's say $8,000 a more a month, they'll be able to give you some type of approval access to funding, right?
- 16:25[SPEAKER_02]: When it comes down to it.
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I was talking to one of my mentors too, and he was saying that like if we were really going to like get in the game, especially like real estate or whatever, you need a financial profile, meaning like your assets liability, all that stuff in one profile, because at his level, it's not even about a credit score.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: He's like, yo, there's no way I can have good credit.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: He said, I got $400 million in debt,
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: He said, but the bank wants to see if you the person is bankable, and I said, oh, I understand it now.
- 17:02[SPEAKER_00]: Because I got equity in this building, and I was thinking, oh, well, I just go to the bank, tell them it's worth ex amount of dollars, give me this money, but it is like, you want to see if your bankable is not about credit score or revenue, like you got to have this complete picture.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_00]: Are you getting into that level yet of like giving someone a
- 17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Not necessarily, not there yet, like I said, more so my job as a business loan broker is to get people to money, right?
- 17:33[SPEAKER_02]: More so, we focus on this credit base and revenue base and sometimes it can be collateral base, right?
- 17:38[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of what banks lend off of.
- 17:40[SPEAKER_02]: Having that full financial picture is not really why I met when it comes to my business.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_02]: And that's one thing that, you know, I really proud myself on and staying focused on what's paying.
- 17:48[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 17:49[SPEAKER_02]: It's so easy to be half-success in something and want to try something new.
- 17:53[SPEAKER_02]: And we know anytime you try something new, you're always going to have 20% less productivity.
- 17:57[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 17:58[SPEAKER_02]: If you good at podcasts and then you start switching up to no more podcasts in person events, it's not going to be as efficient as it is doing this.
- 18:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 18:06[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so you're 29.
- 18:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, running a million dollars business.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: Well, when did you start this business?
- 18:18[SPEAKER_02]: So I started this business and 2021.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, 2021.
- 18:23[SPEAKER_02]: It took about four years.
- 18:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:25[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing in 2021?
- 18:27[SPEAKER_02]: I was an engineer.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: Making good money?
- 18:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, about 78 to 80,000, right, man, correctly.
- 18:33[SPEAKER_02]: Are you saving your money?
- 18:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_02]: I was saying that I didn't live a crazy lifestyle.
- 18:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_02]: It depends what I mean, I'll be transparent.
- 18:40[SPEAKER_02]: I had about 6,000, 7,000 to my name.
- 18:46[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what I'm saying.
- 18:50[SPEAKER_02]: What made you want to get into entrepreneurship and the funding So what made me want to get into entrepreneurship like I mentioned, man, to me personally Corporate America suck bro.
- 19:03[SPEAKER_02]: It sucked to me.
- 19:05[SPEAKER_00]: I guess I'm so cool, bro
- 19:08[SPEAKER_00]: not cool, but they give you 80 grand and they just give you the money.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: As an entrepreneur, your entrepreneurs, you make 80,000 entrepreneurs in 80,000.
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, you got to pay money to make the 80,000.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know what I mean?
- 19:25[SPEAKER_00]: But in corporate,
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: It's a bunch of people that are real snobby, maybe they're going to talk to you crazy, maybe you're a black man, and they think you're, they talk to you out, but they give you the 80,000.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'm trying to see what's so wrong with corporate brand.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_02]: So it's not the wrong way, I just feel like it didn't feed me, and I can give you a few examples.
- 19:42[SPEAKER_02]: So me first being an athlete.
- 19:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's like, well, this is a couple of things.
- 19:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I'll kind of go through it, right?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_02]: I tell people this.
- 19:50[SPEAKER_02]: First of foremost, if you want to see your future at a job, look at your supervisor.
- 19:54[SPEAKER_02]: Look at your superior, right?
- 19:55[SPEAKER_02]: Because a lot of us, we feed ourselves on things we get better as we move in the company.
- 20:00[SPEAKER_02]: But we don't realize the positions and roles that we're going to, we can just look at who's already in that role.
- 20:05[SPEAKER_02]: How's their work-life balance?
- 20:07[SPEAKER_02]: Do they like their job or are they happy?
- 20:09[SPEAKER_02]: And we can see our future within ourselves.
- 20:11[SPEAKER_02]: And that's one thing that kind of,
- 20:13[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe wanted to get out of at least working that job specifically was like looking at my seeing engineering.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_02]: I'm like Gilbrow.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_02]: I don't want to be like this growing up.
- 20:21[SPEAKER_02]: I always say I'm a bit old.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_02]: So like first of all, most at least from my company, you get your ID when you first join coming to the company, right?
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: So he was young, fit, smiling, and I'm looking at his damn ID from
- 20:35[SPEAKER_02]: 15 years ago, to now he got a shake, stress, he always had the office, because he's a senior engineer, so they give him all the biggest projects in Atlanta, no work-life balance.
- 20:46[SPEAKER_02]: He told me, bro, I'm making 150k and I feel broke.
- 20:49[SPEAKER_02]: I said, wait, what?
- 20:50[SPEAKER_02]: Because growing up, all I wanted was to make a hundred K, right, but I would make a hundred K. I'm good, he's like, man, I got two kids, I got a wife.
- 20:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm doing this and he told me he felt stuck.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_02]: You know, he built this pension up and he felt like if he was to move on and try to do something else, it would be starting over and ruin everything at Stavus.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_02]: So when I kind of saw this, I'm a big person and learning from other people's mistakes and not trying to make that mistake.
- 21:13[SPEAKER_02]: That was one of the first things because I saw my future within other people.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care who you are.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_02]: It is what it is to pay rates going to be similar.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_02]: Your task is going to be similar because it's a role.
- 21:22[SPEAKER_02]: You as a person don't make that role that much difference.
- 21:25[SPEAKER_02]: It's a company.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 21:27[SPEAKER_02]: And then like I said, it just didn't fuel me, you know what I mean?
- 21:30[SPEAKER_02]: Just being overworked underpaid and really, really what kind of like, got me to the next level.
- 21:38[SPEAKER_02]: I got to try something new.
- 21:39[SPEAKER_02]: was when you're in salary, you don't really get time in half, at least in my company, right?
- 21:43[SPEAKER_02]: And we're going for utility company, you know Georgia whether it's crazy.
- 21:46[SPEAKER_02]: So his storming light poles go down is when they end who they're calling.
- 21:50[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, wow.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_02]: Right, me, I got to get up, go on my truck, ride the line, figure out what the pose that called a line, man, all this good stuff as well.
- 21:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm not getting paid time in half.
- 22:01[SPEAKER_02]: So I'll work 10 hours, eight hours, seven hours of overtime for extra $200.
- 22:09[SPEAKER_02]: This can't be what this what not so it just didn't feel me man And I want to do some different and came across some ads about entrepreneurship Didn't know anything about it everybody was like as business as this cool thing It's either you think it's cool or you think it's risky and I was like man like the only thing I'm guaranteed is doing this.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_02]: Let me try something new and I took a chance, man So what's the first business funding?
- 22:32[SPEAKER_02]: First business was actually credit repair.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_00]: Ironically, but this was your first business.
- 22:37[SPEAKER_02]: Great.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: You didn't do anything before this.
- 22:39[SPEAKER_02]: No No, thanks.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: You got to write it on the first try
- 22:44[SPEAKER_02]: credit repair.
- 22:45[SPEAKER_02]: I had, yeah, well, I want to say, right, it wasn't just roses, right?
- 22:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I'm saying?
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: This is not starting for one work is that I'll talk about from 20, uh, got no, from 19, 90, something.
- 22:57[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_00]: To like, 20, 10, and so I found something that kind of worked.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, 20, 20, 12.
- 23:05[SPEAKER_00]: So credit repair in Georgia, that was illegal, no, isn't it?
- 23:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it is, so it was some compliance things and that's why I got out of it.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_02]: You're not supposed to do it in Georgia and that's why I switched over to funding because you just asked me how I got the funding.
- 23:16[SPEAKER_02]: Starting in credit fair, wasn't it formed on how things were supposed to be here?
- 23:20[SPEAKER_02]: It didn't like I said I got into the funding space.
- 23:21[SPEAKER_00]: How long were you in Georgia, the door credit fair?
- 23:25[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, really good.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_02]: Uh, probably like a year or so, just being honest.
- 23:31[SPEAKER_00]: Did you make good money?
- 23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 23:33[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was making like, probably 10k on the side.
- 23:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, 10k a month.
- 23:39[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 23:39[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
- 23:40[SPEAKER_02]: While working my job, yeah.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_02]: The reason I was this, and I know you asked, how are you able to start your first business in the house and says, and it goes back to my upbringing in my structure?
- 23:50[SPEAKER_02]: I've been an athlete my whole life.
- 23:52[SPEAKER_02]: I've been an athlete, I've been facing that version of my whole life.
- 23:54[SPEAKER_02]: I've been in situations my whole life where people have counted me out and I've been able to overcome that.
- 23:58[SPEAKER_02]: So I just took that discipline, that structure, that intensity, that effort and really to drive of dislike in my situation and put it into business.
- 24:06[SPEAKER_02]: and that's what goes back to what we talked about before is like, there's no timeline to success.
- 24:11[SPEAKER_02]: I know generally speaking, most people in business don't, she's assessed to maybe a certain time, but then that goes back to your effort and your focus.
- 24:18[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what stops most business ones from reaching success is.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_02]: the only phone 24-7.
- 24:22[SPEAKER_02]: They worry about where everybody else doing it.
- 24:25[SPEAKER_02]: They don't have a schedule that's scattered.
- 24:27[SPEAKER_02]: It's like, what do I do today?
- 24:28[SPEAKER_02]: How can I get better today?
- 24:30[SPEAKER_02]: Me, it was straight line like I need to figure this thing out.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_02]: And one thing I also figured out too, which most entrepreneurs don't do is I highly focused on marketing compared to looking the part.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_02]: Most people think they got to have the best website, they got to buy a bunch of different branding clothes and have a shop and make it look all cute I'm like freak that I need to figure out how can I get least because if you're understanding how to market you don't have a business So me having my own enterprise having to go on and being Intensive you know, I'm showing what I want to do I was able to blow past a lot of people just with that structure out How do you learn how to market though because you're a engineer at this time?
- 25:05[SPEAKER_00]: Let's learn electrical engineer, right?
- 25:07[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 25:08[SPEAKER_00]: How do you learn how to market mid-source?
- 25:10[SPEAKER_02]: Mentors and seeing what other people are doing, the good thing about marketing that people understand is that people can't hide marketing, because marketing is for the public.
- 25:18[SPEAKER_02]: You can't hide what you're doing in marketing.
- 25:19[SPEAKER_02]: So if you pay attention to what anybody's doing, you can see, okay, they're doing this.
- 25:24[SPEAKER_02]: And then with credit repair, you can throw a rock and more than likely it's somebody who's back right.
- 25:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we're not talking about a shoe or something that somebody doesn't need like it's almost a win win.
- 25:36[SPEAKER_02]: It's easy to find people to have back credit on top of that like I mentioned like it's a service that's needed so if you understand that which is reverse engineered if you have a service that's needed.
- 25:47[SPEAKER_02]: Who are the people that I need to service?
- 25:49[SPEAKER_02]: Who are the people that have intent to have the money to pay you?
- 25:51[SPEAKER_02]: Or at a case maybe it can be first on home bars.
- 25:54[SPEAKER_02]: It can be people that want to get it vehicle.
- 25:56[SPEAKER_02]: It can be people that want to change their lives.
- 25:57[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 25:58[SPEAKER_02]: So once you kind of create your ideal avatar and you focus on speaking to that person, aligning yourself with that person, going to places that don't connect to what people that that person connects with, right?
- 26:09[SPEAKER_02]: you're able to focus on marketing and you know what I'm saying?
- 26:11[SPEAKER_02]: Get what you want out of it.
- 26:12[SPEAKER_00]: Got it.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_00]: And what did this marketing look like specifically?
- 26:16[SPEAKER_00]: Because I'm trying to talk to entrepreneurs who are maybe they have a job and they got this business that they're working in their excuses.
- 26:22[SPEAKER_00]: I can't, I don't got the time to do this or I don't know what to do or they think marketing is solely making personal Instagram.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 26:29[SPEAKER_00]: So what exactly were you doing?
- 26:31[SPEAKER_02]: So before I explain that, I want to say this to all entrepreneurs watching, right?
- 26:36[SPEAKER_02]: If time is your objection or your excuse, that just means that it's not a priority to you.
- 26:41[SPEAKER_02]: Because if we told entrepreneurs, we in Georgia right now, if we told entrepreneurs, there's a million dollars under a rock in California.
- 26:49[SPEAKER_02]: You just gotta go try there to get it.
- 26:50[SPEAKER_02]: They will cancel everything on their schedule to get it done, right?
- 26:53[SPEAKER_02]: They will drop every, even if they didn't have a car, they will figure out how to get a car to get the California to get the million dollars.
- 26:59[SPEAKER_02]: Well, if you had that mindset to eventually, you can build a business that can generate seven figures.
- 27:04[SPEAKER_02]: It may not be your one, your two, your three, but your five, your seven, your eight, it may happen, right?
- 27:08[SPEAKER_02]: So why are we not putting that same prioritization into our self and to our business?
- 27:12[SPEAKER_02]: So it just goes back to priorities.
- 27:14[SPEAKER_02]: That's an excuse.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_02]: It's a limited belief.
- 27:17[SPEAKER_02]: You make time for what you want in life.
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 27:19[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the first thing then that's literally how I thought just being an engineer because I learned it from football.
- 27:25[SPEAKER_02]: There is no excuses, right?
- 27:26[SPEAKER_02]: So every day me working in corporate America at a flexible job, just being an engineer, I may not know if it's not one of those things where I'm just glued to somebody watching me 24 seven, right?
- 27:37[SPEAKER_02]: One thing that you can do first is just get active in your community, join the Chamber of Commerce.
- 27:41[SPEAKER_02]: I tell people all the time, the Chamber of Commerce,
- 27:43[SPEAKER_02]: has business owners there.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_02]: They have people that want to do better.
- 27:46[SPEAKER_02]: They have bangers.
- 27:47[SPEAKER_02]: They have other people that you can collab there when it comes down to it.
- 27:50[SPEAKER_02]: And then when we go back one thing, I did a really, really, really, really good job.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: Hold on, Brad.
- 27:54[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just thinking about this because some, I've heard people tell me, I should join the Chamber of Commerce.
- 28:01[SPEAKER_00]: And I kind of just brush it off.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: But yeah.
- 28:03[SPEAKER_00]: This is the first time something actually clicked.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_00]: No, seriously, so I have a content creation studio, right, and at the Chamber of Commerce has a group for a small business owners that all needs to be able to create content.
- 28:18[SPEAKER_00]: If I join the Chamber of Commerce, I'll meet all the people that need me.
- 28:22[SPEAKER_02]: There you go.
- 28:23[SPEAKER_00]: Dang, right?
- 28:23[SPEAKER_02]: And you see how I'm telling you stuff, because I've done it, and that's why I'm saying make sense.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_02]: You want a lot, when it comes to marketing, we make marketing, we want easy AI, posting marketing, or we think marketing is difficult.
- 28:37[SPEAKER_02]: When we really can break it down and say, okay, who are I still clients, who is our ideal target audience, who they hang around, who they affiliate with, what's around and what events do they go to, and we just put ourselves in that situation.
- 28:52[SPEAKER_02]: In that situation, as all it is, that's like if you want to lose weight,
- 28:57[SPEAKER_02]: What, where do you go?
- 29:00[SPEAKER_00]: To not, uh, not to the buffet.
- 29:02[SPEAKER_02]: Is that, but where do you go?
- 29:03[SPEAKER_02]: Or hang around your, uh, your, uh, your fat for us.
- 29:06[SPEAKER_02]: Is that actually, but you go to the gym for me.
- 29:08[SPEAKER_02]: Other fit people there, right?
- 29:09[SPEAKER_02]: So we make marketing tougher than we, we, we really need to.
- 29:14[SPEAKER_02]: If we just understand that a lot of time, we just got to put ourselves in, in the right position.
- 29:18[SPEAKER_02]: and the right environment so people that value our servers are offered you know what I mean so that's kind of what I did So join the Chamber of Commerce was a really really big one and I'm I really really big build a big affiliate program Around Atlanta with realtors on my understood realtors Didn't a lot of realtors don't make money.
- 29:37[SPEAKER_02]: She's being very transparent most of them, right?
- 29:39[SPEAKER_02]: So they're always trying to find ways to make additional money, and that's what credit for it comes in.
- 29:44[SPEAKER_02]: You got people that can't qualify for a home, but they haven't sent.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_02]: I could do credit for it.
- 29:48[SPEAKER_02]: I could send them back to you.
- 29:49[SPEAKER_02]: That may be a closing year initiative to get in the six months down the road without a case may be.
- 29:53[SPEAKER_00]: So you're giving them an opportunity to make money from their clients?
- 29:56[SPEAKER_02]: I'm giving them opportunity to refer clients to me for credit repair, and then we would give them a referral payout.
- 30:02[SPEAKER_00]: God, okay, yeah, I got you, because that's probably their biggest pain point, right?
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: Correct.
- 30:07[SPEAKER_00]: The person just doesn't have the credit if you're trying to buy a home.
- 30:10[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: God.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_02]: And then once they're done, send them right back to home.
- 30:16[SPEAKER_02]: And all it takes is one, and they tell everybody in the office about you, and now you can't leave.
- 30:22[SPEAKER_02]: That's good, yeah.
- 30:24[SPEAKER_00]: How long does it get to finally leave you job?
- 30:27[SPEAKER_02]: A year and a half, man.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: A year and a half.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_02]: Any anxiety?
- 30:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's why it's something you're in half.
- 30:32[SPEAKER_02]: I was already making money.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but I I listen to people that whenever entrepreneurs people that that I wouldn't trade bank accounts with that.
- 30:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I like to say right on people that want it.
- 30:43[SPEAKER_02]: Good for me, but just don't understand the drink.
- 30:46[SPEAKER_02]: So people telling me man, you meant to be an engineer.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_02]: You went to college for five years for this starting the business risky.
- 30:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you make a money.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_00]: Tell you you're meant to be an engineer.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_02]: like you get basically it maybe not that exact phrase right but like you're supposed to be engineered you want to cause for this while you throw your degree you know what I'm saying like you know what I mean yeah I'm sure I think I feel it's my life yeah if you're a great server bro just what do you mean but it's different but it's different but it's different when you can't compare a server to an engineer
- 31:16[SPEAKER_00]: Well, someone told me, yo, you are in the perfect career for you, because you have a great personality, it pisses me off for her.
- 31:30[SPEAKER_00]: And one hand, I'm like, oh, I did something right.
- 31:32[SPEAKER_00]: I'm fit for this particular role.
- 31:36[SPEAKER_00]: But then I'm like, yo, am I only fresh for this?
- 31:39[SPEAKER_00]: Or because I've been doing it for a long time, I gotta stay here, so I kinda...
- 31:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's the same for me, right?
- 31:45[SPEAKER_00]: There's somebody that's a teacher right now.
- 31:47[SPEAKER_00]: Their mom was a teacher.
- 31:48[SPEAKER_00]: Their mom's mom is a teacher.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_00]: They're great with kids.
- 31:51[SPEAKER_00]: And then like, yo, you pick the perfect thing.
- 31:53[SPEAKER_00]: So that means if I'm in the perfect role,
- 31:58[SPEAKER_02]: anything outside of that will not serve me what you know me yeah it's like trying to lock box you in that one thing and that's kind of what it was for me but I realize that most people they live off of risk risk like they're fair fair risk but what people don't realize or what they don't look at is regret
- 32:18[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's trying to limit risk or they're scared to take a risk, but they never, ever understand or think about regret.
- 32:25[SPEAKER_02]: What happens if you don't take that risk, you stay in the same spot forever, and you watch people that take an opportunity and level up.
- 32:32[SPEAKER_02]: And we all know that one person that knows somebody that did something great, and said, yeah, you should know that person.
- 32:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we went to the same school.
- 32:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I was on the same team, I was better than him, but I broke my leg and he all of a sudden became this person.
- 32:43[SPEAKER_02]: So that's one thing I always tell people like, yeah, risk is something, right?
- 32:48[SPEAKER_02]: But wait until you get a hold of regret.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_01]: Mmm.
- 32:51[SPEAKER_02]: That's it, don't leave me.
- 32:53[SPEAKER_02]: And you can't get it back.
- 32:54[SPEAKER_02]: When you look in back, you 60 years old, what you could have done.
- 32:58[SPEAKER_02]: And it was right in front of your face, but you was too scared to take a risk.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: Not knowing that even if you failed, you wasn't going to fall as hard as you think you did.
- 33:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 33:07[SPEAKER_00]: Wow, bro, yeah, and say I met this I just bought this building in the guy that sells me 80 years old and He starts telling me all the you know, he's telling me this building.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_00]: He's like yeah last year I sold this other building He said I got a bunch of other stuff.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_00]: I just can't sell it right now.
- 33:29[SPEAKER_00]: I'm like I can just sell right now.
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: He said
- 33:31[SPEAKER_00]: Well, because I don't want to get hit with these capital gains taxes, but I'm liquidating the stuff.
- 33:36[SPEAKER_00]: He said, I'm on the other side of life at this point, or I'm on the other side, kind of like in the fourth quarter.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 33:42[SPEAKER_00]: And he starts, you know, talking about all the stuff that he's liquidating on the asses.
- 33:46[SPEAKER_00]: But he was telling me how much he bought it for the building that I bought for 240,000.
- 33:52[SPEAKER_00]: I think my man might have bought for like 40,000, 40 years ago.
- 33:58[SPEAKER_00]: So while you're saying that, I'm thinking, man, there's another friend at the same time that could have been buying this stuff, right?
- 34:07[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe the same age, and this other person does have anything to sell because like you said, regret, there's nothing you could do about it.
- 34:14[SPEAKER_00]: Exactly.
- 34:15[SPEAKER_02]: Dang.
- 34:16[SPEAKER_02]: It's now you could do about it.
- 34:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you, what do you think separates a winner in a loser?
- 34:20[SPEAKER_00]: What separates a winner in a loser?
- 34:24[SPEAKER_00]: I think in terms of business, a loser,
- 34:28[SPEAKER_00]: Accepted that they're loser They're quick.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_00]: They're quick.
- 34:31[SPEAKER_01]: They're quick for sure.
- 34:32[SPEAKER_02]: They quit Everybody's gonna lose at some point in life Everybody But it's how you think about it.
- 34:39[SPEAKER_02]: It's a learning lesson, right?
- 34:40[SPEAKER_02]: You only lose when you quit the only thing that guarantees that you fill in life is if you quit That's the only thing so why not keep going?
- 34:48[SPEAKER_00]: You know, this was the years ago.
- 34:50[SPEAKER_00]: I met a gentleman lady who was doing like 25 thousand dollars a month in her business She was selling um
- 34:57[SPEAKER_00]: What's the thing you put it on your house and the sun feeds it solar here?
- 35:02[SPEAKER_00]: So what's solar panels?
- 35:03[SPEAKER_00]: But it was like she had these solar items.
- 35:05[SPEAKER_00]: A bunch of just items that are solar, you know, power.
- 35:09[SPEAKER_00]: And she was making $25,000 a month in this business.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: It's booming.
- 35:13[SPEAKER_00]: She'd be doing it for months.
- 35:16[SPEAKER_00]: But she couldn't let go of her job, which was paying her $40,000 a year.
- 35:20[SPEAKER_00]: But she could not let go.
- 35:22[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't know if you, I mean, in business, they're like waves.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_00]: You can have like a really, really good run.
- 35:28[SPEAKER_00]: And she just kept in our brain thinking, well, this may not last forever.
- 35:36[SPEAKER_00]: And eventually the business declined, not because the business declined in my opinion.
- 35:42[SPEAKER_00]: I think the business declined because as it was going up, she didn't take off the shackles.
- 35:48[SPEAKER_00]: She didn't spread her wings to say, let me focus on doubling down on this.
- 35:53[SPEAKER_00]: And now she's hit with regret because you get to a business of $25,000 a month.
- 35:58[SPEAKER_00]: And then you suddenly go down to $2,000 a month.
- 36:01[SPEAKER_00]: It's not easy to build momentum again.
- 36:03[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not, especially if you spend that money.
- 36:05[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of like what I teach and what I have in there to be my build my business, right?
- 36:10[SPEAKER_02]: It's all for really three core metrics, call it three amps, more metrics and manpower.
- 36:17[SPEAKER_00]: More metrics, manpower.
- 36:18[SPEAKER_02]: Let's break that door and bring it down.
- 36:20[SPEAKER_02]: I got you, right?
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: So, this is for 90% of entrepreneurs, right?
- 36:26[SPEAKER_02]: You can make more money by just doing more of what's actually working in your business, 100%
- 36:32[SPEAKER_02]: If you run ads for marketing, let's say you spend $20,000 a month right in ads.
- 36:38[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to make more money, just spend more money on ads.
- 36:41[SPEAKER_02]: That's a proven concept that already works for you.
- 36:43[SPEAKER_02]: If you're a great ad, organic content, right?
- 36:47[SPEAKER_02]: Let's post more organic content.
- 36:49[SPEAKER_02]: Let's get on more different platforms, right?
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: If you're good at cold calling, let's say you call 300 people a day.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: Let's say you call 100 people a day and you get three deals funded.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_02]: If you want to fund six people, the next day, how many people do you have to call?
- 37:02[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the easiest way to literally make more in your business.
- 37:08[SPEAKER_02]: And that's actually the safest solution because it's a proven concept.
- 37:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're just doing what was already working.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_02]: But what happens is, most entrepreneurs that CCC says money comes.
- 37:17[SPEAKER_02]: Now I'm going to try this thing.
- 37:18[SPEAKER_02]: I see this person online selling and talking about they making money doing this.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_02]: Now I want to do this and I want to do that.
- 37:22[SPEAKER_02]: When the reality, if you just focus on the thing that got you to where you at and just overdone on it, you will blow past everybody.
- 37:29[SPEAKER_02]: And the strongest thing I was able to do, which is like scenes and sets out at early age, and a lot of people struggle with, it's telling people no, telling people no, telling family no when it comes to money, telling opportunities that come about, no, because I'm focused on what I'm doing, yes, that sounds great, that sounds sexy, yes, I can probably become a millionaire there, millionaire in that.
- 37:49[SPEAKER_02]: But the time that I'm gonna have to split my focus on what I'm doing, it's just gonna screw me up, because now I'm at level eight, and I gotta go back down to level one to figure out what we're doing here.
- 37:58[SPEAKER_02]: So doing more, it's the safest and most beneficial thing that you can do in your business to make more.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of times when you're dealing with entrepreneurs that have fluctuating revenue, one month they're making, five k to the next month they're making in 20 k, it's usually due to their output.
- 38:13[SPEAKER_02]: They're not doing more of a thing that makes the money.
- 38:16[SPEAKER_02]: So that's one thing I think that people can take and double down on.
- 38:20[SPEAKER_02]: A second thing when it comes to metrics, this is the biggest thing and this takes a
- 38:26[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of people, especially during COVID, when they hustles, money was easy to make during COVID and they're easy to make right now.
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
- 38:33[SPEAKER_02]: Because it's easy to sell something, but it's hard to track how that actually came about that client journey and replicate the process.
- 38:42[SPEAKER_02]: So if you don't track your numbers, if you don't track your data, it's going to be down there in possible to grow a business.
- 38:47[SPEAKER_02]: You're living off a whole, and in business it's not the emotional thing.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_02]: It's a data-driven decision.
- 38:53[SPEAKER_02]: People that are the most successful in business have data, and they look at data, they look at trends to make decisions.
- 38:59[SPEAKER_02]: So you should be tracking, let's see if we have a service-based business, you should be tracking in revenue, sales,
- 39:03[SPEAKER_02]: A cat calls to a choir client, a wristband on ads, how much you have to spend before you get a qualified lead.
- 39:08[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:09[SPEAKER_02]: You're no show rate.
- 39:10[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: You're closed rate.
- 39:11[SPEAKER_02]: Different things like that in your business, said that you can look back at data and figure out when something's slow or something's wrong.
- 39:18[SPEAKER_02]: What can I allocate resources to?
- 39:20[SPEAKER_02]: And that's a job with a CEO that people don't talk about.
- 39:22[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody talks about making money and being nature's and being the host of $100,000 a day or $100,000 a month.
- 39:28[SPEAKER_02]: But that should be here today going tomorrow.
- 39:30[SPEAKER_02]: Are you building something for the long term?
- 39:32[SPEAKER_02]: Can you take yourself out of that business?
- 39:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's still made that $100,000 a month.
- 39:36[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what you don't say you want to work towards, right?
- 39:39[SPEAKER_02]: So having that data allows you to allocate resources as a CEO to sell, okay?
- 39:45[SPEAKER_02]: If we look back, our notion rate is through the roof.
- 39:48[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, why are people not shown up to the call?
- 39:50[SPEAKER_02]: Let's go back to our messaging and marketing.
- 39:52[SPEAKER_02]: Are we marketing, get rich quick, and people have no intent?
- 39:55[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why they're not showing up.
- 39:56[SPEAKER_02]: They're booking, but they're not showing up.
- 39:58[SPEAKER_02]: Or let's look back at our systems.
- 40:00[SPEAKER_02]: Are we confirming the call?
- 40:01[SPEAKER_02]: Are we having a VA or a team member called in the day of the call?
- 40:05[SPEAKER_02]: Are we sending the appointment reminders?
- 40:06[SPEAKER_02]: are we sending them the Zoom link 30 minutes before the actual Zoom call?
- 40:09[SPEAKER_02]: All of these things matter because consumer is especially, depending on your offer, if you're selling to the consumers, they get distracted.
- 40:15[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 40:16[SPEAKER_02]: So you want to constantly remind them to increase your showup rate.
- 40:19[SPEAKER_02]: If people are showing up to calls, but they're not being closed, okay, you may have a sales issue.
- 40:24[SPEAKER_02]: What is your sales rep saying on a call?
- 40:25[SPEAKER_02]: How are they handling?
- 40:26[SPEAKER_02]: How are they understanding how they overcome objections?
- 40:28[SPEAKER_02]: These are things that are important when it comes to running actual business, right?
- 40:31[SPEAKER_02]: and sales is really big, and if you figure out that, hey, my sales rep sucks, may not fire them, you may need to do more training, you may need to do more framing, more you know I'm saying Q&A, more roleplay, and if you struggle to just even get leads.
- 40:45[SPEAKER_02]: That's easy, then there's a marketing issue.
- 40:48[SPEAKER_02]: Either you're marketing sucks, you're not doing enough output to get the desire I'll come that you're looking for.
- 40:52[SPEAKER_02]: So when you have metrics, you're able to track and pinpoint, okay, this is why we had this month because this, okay, let's allocate resources this month to this thing.
- 41:01[SPEAKER_02]: And then the last thing which is more so scaling is manpower, right?
- 41:05[SPEAKER_02]: You only gonna grow so far being a one-man army, right?
- 41:08[SPEAKER_02]: We only gonna grow so far being a one-man army.
- 41:10[SPEAKER_02]: You want to really build
- 41:11[SPEAKER_02]: a big business, you got to have the man power behind you to fuel that business and it's not just hiring the cheapest person, it's hiring the most qualified or ape players I like to call them because ape players, I don't care if I got to pay an ape player 100,000, that person going to bring me 500,000 to the business, it makes sense and what happens is you create a culture, if you create a team, you create a momentum and you create a standard and now everybody that comes to your
- 41:35[SPEAKER_02]: your business is held to a standard.
- 41:38[SPEAKER_02]: And you know that that's standard for me.
- 41:40[SPEAKER_00]: One, I mean, people do you have on your team?
- 41:43[SPEAKER_02]: 10.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: 10 people.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to an A player, it's a hard to find an A player, especially somebody that, okay, you put out this money and they're going to bring back this income.
- 41:57[SPEAKER_00]: How do you find, like, what's your hiring process?
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: So right now, I'm switching.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: One thing is this.
- 42:03[SPEAKER_02]: I started off when I started off in business, it was more so virtual assistance.
- 42:07[SPEAKER_02]: I fly as well everybody starts.
- 42:09[SPEAKER_02]: Virtual assistance can be good for certain tests.
- 42:12[SPEAKER_02]: And that's what I realized early on.
- 42:13[SPEAKER_02]: Virtual assistance, most of the time, have no business talking directly to your leads.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_02]: in a sales aspect.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 42:22[SPEAKER_02]: They're good for admin, data entry, back in type of stuff.
- 42:25[SPEAKER_02]: That's where they come in.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_02]: You can cut calls in the business there.
- 42:28[SPEAKER_02]: But when it comes to, I would say revenue driven roles like sales reps or fulfillment, you want to make sure you hire a player, it's right.
- 42:35[SPEAKER_02]: So there's a couple of things you can do.
- 42:37[SPEAKER_02]: People don't know you actually can run ads for for employees.
- 42:40[SPEAKER_02]: Like, indeed, and different things like that.
- 42:41[SPEAKER_02]: You actually can run ads to get qualified leads.
- 42:44[SPEAKER_02]: You can ask for referrals.
- 42:45[SPEAKER_02]: You can put job posts out there, right?
- 42:47[SPEAKER_02]: Um, another thing that we've done here, and this is actually a play, right?
- 42:51[SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to go ahead and get some gyms.
- 42:52[SPEAKER_02]: your local college probably has job, what do you call it, and what's the where I'm the career fair career fairs, right?
- 43:00[SPEAKER_02]: The usually I career fairs and there's a lot of people and I will use more so for marketing if you need a videoographer or something like that.
- 43:06[SPEAKER_02]: There's a lot of students that want experience that are literally willing to work for a little to nothing.
- 43:12[SPEAKER_02]: that may have the talent, but they just don't have the credentials and they need to work anyway to get, you know what I'm saying, uh, experience.
- 43:19[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great way to get it on the go videoographer if you're in marketing.
- 43:22[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 43:23[SPEAKER_02]: So, those are different things that we use, like I said, to be able to attract.
- 43:26[SPEAKER_02]: And then when we interview, it's usually a two step interview.
- 43:29[SPEAKER_02]: So, you should have somebody on my team interview them and then I'll interview them myself.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_02]: What we're looking for and how you know you're finding somebody good, they should be able to tell you some of you didn't know about their role.
- 43:39[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why it's important for the entrepreneur when you first started business to do everything in your business So you understand you have a concept of it.
- 43:47[SPEAKER_02]: So when you interview people if they're just telling you a bunch of stuff You already know about the roller or know about that task They're probably not the right one for you, but if you bring somebody in and they're telling you things you like them I've been I've been working go hello my whole life.
- 43:59[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know you can do that I've been shooting my own content my whole life.
- 44:02[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't know that was a thing.
- 44:03[SPEAKER_02]: Wait, what's the name of that software?
- 44:05[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably that A player that's gonna take you to the next level
- 44:08[SPEAKER_02]: As a make sense, your A players, you really want them to be better than you at that specific role than you are.
- 44:15[SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense?
- 44:16[SPEAKER_02]: And that's kind of what we do.
- 44:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then...
- 44:19[SPEAKER_02]: Last thing I do to find the most qualified people hired to and let them know hey, both you on a basically a probation or temporary whatever and let them do get out best man wins And what seriously, but that's how you get dogs.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_02]: That's how you get the best of the best.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_02]: Right.
- 44:34[SPEAKER_00]: How you done that?
- 44:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah What role was it so for VAs I haven't done it with with America's books for VAs because it's hard to do it with sales reps and stuff Give me an example like what was the role in would you hire them both for and how did you operate that?
- 44:47[SPEAKER_02]: So when it comes to VAs, we did it for admin and onboarding, for our coaching program, right?
- 44:51[SPEAKER_02]: So for the funding side, it's okay, but for the coaching program, we did it for that.
- 44:56[SPEAKER_02]: The reason why we did that is because VAs sometimes have a hard time connecting with interaction with humans, and basically how we were able to track who was the better person was simply effort.
- 45:05[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying and being able to correct?
- 45:07[SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the day, you can be good at a job we just put effort in.
- 45:10[SPEAKER_02]: So showing up on time, being organized.
- 45:13[SPEAKER_02]: Another thing is being detailed.
- 45:15[SPEAKER_02]: That's the biggest thing, especially with virtual assistants.
- 45:17[SPEAKER_02]: Detail is everything and a lot of them lack that, right?
- 45:20[SPEAKER_02]: So being very, very detailed.
- 45:21[SPEAKER_02]: I'd say to do something, make sure it's done the correct way.
- 45:23[SPEAKER_02]: If you don't know how to do it, ask for clarification.
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 45:26[SPEAKER_02]: Let me not have to tell you two three times.
- 45:28[SPEAKER_02]: And then the last thing is being proactive.
- 45:30[SPEAKER_02]: That's the biggest thing, because especially with VA's,
- 45:33[SPEAKER_02]: a lot of them would just sit until you respond back to them.
- 45:36[SPEAKER_02]: They can't, they don't know what to do.
- 45:38[SPEAKER_02]: They're not going to go the extra mile if you're going to think out.
- 45:41[SPEAKER_02]: The VA that we hired, we literally did not respond to see what this person would do.
- 45:47[SPEAKER_02]: They checked Jackie B.T.
- 45:48[SPEAKER_02]: Google and say, hey, the A-BOSS, you know how they talk.
- 45:50[SPEAKER_02]: Hey, boss.
- 45:51[SPEAKER_02]: This is what I got so far.
- 45:52[SPEAKER_02]: And we knew that was an A-player.
- 45:53[SPEAKER_02]: Does it make sense because now they're proactive and actually thinking and they're not just winning for you to think for them Yeah, because what happens if we're all in the meeting we're doing a podcast the business still got to run if you can't get in contact with somebody Well, that doesn't mean anything because the customer doesn't care the customer don't care if you got a team of 20 or a team or two They want what they want
- 46:14[SPEAKER_02]: So you need a players for at the people on your team to be able to, you know, say, build your company.
- 46:19[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 46:21[SPEAKER_00]: As you, like, get funding, let's just say, because building out this team, I think a portion of it probably should go to somebody who can help you.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_00]: Right.
- 46:32[SPEAKER_00]: When you get your clients funding, what's the advice that you're giving them?
- 46:36[SPEAKER_00]: Because, I mean, some people would have just
- 46:38[SPEAKER_00]: going to blow it around.
- 46:40[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so be honest with you.
- 46:42[SPEAKER_02]: We try not even take people that that really don't have really tent of running the business or having the business or any type of business plan.
- 46:50[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but I'm sure I'm sure the intent is there, but I mean, is it?
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: Is it?
- 46:57[SPEAKER_02]: If you come to me, you want money, but you're not going to want to do it.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_02]: Do you have intent?
- 47:03[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, so you're saying you don't really work with people that say I need funding to start a business but I'm not 100% sure what the business is going to be.
- 47:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 47:17[SPEAKER_02]: One, they're high risk.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: This is two reasons, though.
- 47:20[SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm going to give you real experience.
- 47:22[SPEAKER_02]: They're high risk.
- 47:23[SPEAKER_02]: If a person doesn't know what they're going to do with the money and you get the money and they have to pay you 10%.
- 47:27[SPEAKER_02]: They're more like not going to pay you because the next thing that's going to come into their head is
- 47:33[SPEAKER_02]: How the hell I'm gonna pay this back?
- 47:35[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 47:36[SPEAKER_02]: You should only be getting money for people that have a business or a business plan to understand Okay, this 10% that I'm paying is a cost of doing business.
- 47:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna pay this back with the revenue I generate from my business.
- 47:47[SPEAKER_00]: Side note, and this is all I have to say.
- 47:50[SPEAKER_00]: I always want to know.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, let's start getting into the funding.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 47:55[SPEAKER_00]: Do you teach people how to do what you're doing in the funding, so you can say that?
- 47:58[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_00]: I get J somebody okay, and we have this agreement where if I get your 50,000 you give me 10% You got to give you my 5,000 yep J gets the 50,000 yet What's stopping him from not giving me my 5 grand?
- 48:16[SPEAKER_02]: great job and I'm glad you've brought this up because this is a frequently asked question for people that want to get into the fun this space.
- 48:21[SPEAKER_02]: How can I make sure I get my money, right?
- 48:24[SPEAKER_02]: So we have to understand what operating the business we're not here for charity, right?
- 48:28[SPEAKER_02]: So when you onboard a client, let's say you get a funding client, this is how you make sure you get paid from that client.
- 48:33[SPEAKER_02]: One, you got to have all the personal documentation, licensing and social security, you need to know what they live at, what they sleep at, all that information.
- 48:43[SPEAKER_02]: We got two.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_02]: This is a financial service.
- 48:50[SPEAKER_02]: One, one, we need that information anyway, right?
- 48:54[SPEAKER_02]: To build their funding sequence and different things like that.
- 48:56[SPEAKER_02]: Number two, people that have the intent of trying to run off when you're not going to give you that information.
- 49:00[SPEAKER_02]: right so that's the first thing right obviously you want to have a real contract and play a contract that's jacked by the attorney not something you just scribbled up right as I make sense I'm another thing if you want to be even more precautions get a card on file get a bank round number on file get something on file that says hey if this is not paid with an X amount we auto redraw auto draft whatever the case may be.
- 49:21[SPEAKER_02]: Right, so it's so many different things you can do to make sure that you're not, you know, I'm saying again BS and inside of my culture program We have a duck collection company that we partner with as well that can help recruit if you need it, but honestly nobody's really been ran off on so haven't really nobody Yeah, just because like it's pretty it's pretty easy to filter out old me though
- 49:45[SPEAKER_02]: It's pretty easy to filter out who hasn't sent, who doesn't.
- 49:49[SPEAKER_02]: Like I said, and that's why I said, I don't really mess with people that think they want to start a business, because it's like, okay, my team's going to do all this work, and then we're going to chase you down for the money, and it's not going to make sense.
- 50:00[SPEAKER_02]: So I rather than not even...
- 50:02[SPEAKER_02]: Think about the money and we just won't just want to help you.
- 50:05[SPEAKER_00]: It's good business too.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_00]: Not good.
- 50:07[SPEAKER_02]: Or my space, and this is where 60% of our clients have come from, we're revenue based lending, we don't charge the client.
- 50:14[SPEAKER_02]: We actually get paid from the lender directly, up to 15%.
- 50:18[SPEAKER_02]: So, the revenue based lending is the one-page application, right?
- 50:21[SPEAKER_02]: You get four months of business bank statements.
- 50:23[SPEAKER_02]: You submit it to your lender marketplace, right?
- 50:25[SPEAKER_02]: You have the have relationships, it's not something you just send to people, right?
- 50:29[SPEAKER_02]: And they send you back offers, your sales rep can close that offer, right?
- 50:33[SPEAKER_02]: They set up a funding call with the lender, the lender just verify it and understand the terms, all the disclosures depend on what state they're in, and they send them the money, and they send you your commission and your VOY or five business days later.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the game changer that's later with most of my business comes from and that's why I say we work with more a bit more Stab as business owners and that's what I teach in my program as well So where you not only can help people get access to funding through credit card stacking 0% but you also can offer I'll turn the lending when now you can service and help people to have
- 51:01[SPEAKER_00]: bad credit with a cash loan business and you don't have to worry about chasing down for money because you're gonna pay directly from the lender or gonna be
- 51:19[SPEAKER_02]: So as a sales aspect, and that's what sales reps come in.
- 51:22[SPEAKER_02]: They give you the beauty to sell the product at whatever rate you want to, and that's how much money you make.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, so there's an amazing thing.
- 51:29[SPEAKER_00]: So you're gonna put a little sum on top.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, if you want to.
- 51:31[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to.
- 51:32[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_02]: Not like inches right, but like yeah, they'll tell you, hey, this is the paid repay at if you want to earn 12% commission, if you want to earn 5% commission in this deal, this would be the repay.
- 51:44[SPEAKER_02]: So you can decide where you want to pitch the deal at to get the deal close.
- 51:49[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I never even heard that part of me.
- 51:51[SPEAKER_02]: People don't.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_00]: I thought it was just, I get you fun, you're fun day.
- 51:55[SPEAKER_00]: When you get that money, run me my bread.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_02]: I'm telling you, you only know what you know.
- 51:59[SPEAKER_00]: And you make money from that, huh?
- 52:02[SPEAKER_00]: But seven figure business you know, give me an example of somebody you got funded.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_02]: Okay, and the institution Gave you the money and would you charge them in terms of interest like just give me the play got you so it was a restaurant out of Texas not going to say their name a pretty big restaurant at three locations Kind of was a mess.
- 52:21[SPEAKER_02]: It took us about
- 52:22[SPEAKER_00]: One turkey leg, how was it?
- 52:24[SPEAKER_02]: Nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah, nah
- 52:50[SPEAKER_02]: Um, to separate itself from that person.
- 52:52[SPEAKER_02]: Um, the other main business owner, he had like a 530 credit score who was going to do credit here.
- 52:58[SPEAKER_02]: And that's why I said, like, people that, you know, have back credits to have a demand for money.
- 53:03[SPEAKER_02]: Um, the business was making, don't quote me.
- 53:06[SPEAKER_02]: I think about 180 to $200,000 a month, some around there.
- 53:11[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe a little less around there though.
- 53:12[SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember exactly.
- 53:13[SPEAKER_02]: We were able to get them $273,000 through a business credit.
- 53:18[SPEAKER_02]: So a lot of people don't know when you're, like I said, a broker, not just like getting people credit cards, you have like actual relationships with lenders and you literally can close the deal and we got paid out, I think on that deal, I think 8% we didn't get 10 or full of 10, we got like eight, this will be close at that.
- 53:35[SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, one moment please.
- 53:37[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, one moment.
- 53:38[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, you say you got them 273,000.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 53:42[SPEAKER_00]: You mean 21 bands like that?
- 53:45[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 53:47[SPEAKER_02]: By helping someone get funded.
- 53:48[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, and not charging them anything.
- 53:52[SPEAKER_00]: Well, you got charged a little something.
- 53:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now, right?
- 53:57[SPEAKER_02]: What I'll turn to lending, we don't charge them anything.
- 54:00[SPEAKER_02]: We get paid by the bank.
- 54:01[SPEAKER_02]: Our fee is our fee is basically built into their, the interest or I guess the fact to rate their paying the lender back with.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_02]: Does it make sense?
- 54:10[SPEAKER_00]: No, but don't you say I'm thinking what I heard was, the bank charges, let's say 12%.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_00]: And you get to tell them, all right, you're getting it from me, I'm white label in this and I charge 12.3%.
- 54:26[SPEAKER_00]: No, no.
- 54:28[SPEAKER_02]: So how it works with, alternative lending, your commission a lot of times is built into their payback.
- 54:37[SPEAKER_00]: Does it make sense?
- 54:39[SPEAKER_02]: Not fully so like if their payments 21,000 and not charging them 21,000 to pay us, but some of the commission is built into their payback.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense?
- 54:48[SPEAKER_02]: So what happens is the higher you sell the deal at, the more the business on the pace.
- 54:54[SPEAKER_02]: The lower you sell the deal at, the less the business on the pace.
- 55:00[SPEAKER_00]: like you know what I'm saying yeah so it's not they're adding another 21 though but at the end of the day they're kind of adding another 21 probably with her origination fees and like all that stuff that happens it just put in money back into the bank and they probably use something to pay us so yeah yeah that money then obviously
- 55:17[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it is the payback of percentage over time or is the payback of flat number.
- 55:23[SPEAKER_00]: So when I got the joy from my store, it was a flat number.
- 55:27[SPEAKER_00]: I borrow a 30,000, you now owe me 40,000 and we're going to take X amount of dollars off of every swipe until you get the 40,000 flat.
- 55:36[SPEAKER_02]: Depends on the deal.
- 55:37[SPEAKER_02]: Some are flat rates, some are based on just, I would say, your payback length.
- 55:42[SPEAKER_02]: So it's just like any typical, I would say, financial, APR.
- 55:46[SPEAKER_02]: where if you pay back sooner you avoid paying less inches if you pay back later or you extended the full amount of the time you pay back more inches.
- 55:53[SPEAKER_00]: I think this is a dope business because every entrepreneur business owner needs money.
- 55:59[SPEAKER_02]: Literally, I tell people are defying people.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_02]: I tell people all the time, I get paid for selling money.
- 56:04[SPEAKER_02]: I help my students sell money and get paid to.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_02]: And the beauty about what I do, just being a very transparent while I love it, is the double that sort.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_02]: So not only are you able to help people secure funding, but in that same skill set, you can secure funding for yourself.
- 56:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, bro, and you're gonna do not for them.
- 56:21[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you have to do something in terms of like the next, but the heavy work is it?
- 56:26[SPEAKER_00]: You know, you know, maybe people have connected with people.
- 56:29[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 56:30[SPEAKER_00]: So it's like, so there's a client and I'm like, yo, all right, our money.
- 56:37[SPEAKER_00]: Here's a client.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_00]: They need you.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_00]: The people need you.
- 56:40[SPEAKER_00]: They come together.
- 56:41[SPEAKER_00]: And I just, he makes his money, right?
- 56:43[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 56:44[SPEAKER_00]: But what if I got like a, well, I want my
- 56:48[SPEAKER_00]: Get him out to ever say not now you hit now you know you got to skew you got to skew now Yeah, so yeah, really I was trying to I was trying to understand why some people were getting in the front I know a lot of people are funding now, right?
- 57:02[SPEAKER_02]: Honestly, bro, it's a trend.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_02]: It's a trend.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_02]: Because everybody's doing the same thing.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_02]: Everybody's going to just chase Wells Fargo and it's cool.
- 57:09[SPEAKER_02]: It makes money, it's life changing money.
- 57:12[SPEAKER_02]: By the end of the day, it's not many people that are really in the finance space.
- 57:15[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of stuff that I just told you, probably never heard before.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_02]: And you have many people who you had on here for funding.
- 57:21[SPEAKER_02]: For sure.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_00]: So if it is a trend, what does that leave you as an entrepreneur?
- 57:27[SPEAKER_00]: Long term.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 57:29[SPEAKER_02]: You want me to be honest with you?
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_02]: Straight honest with you?
- 57:31[SPEAKER_00]: Please.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't give.
- 57:32[SPEAKER_02]: I don't focus on what I'm doing.
- 57:36[SPEAKER_02]: Why do I care about what the competition?
- 57:38[SPEAKER_02]: The economy is ran off of small businesses.
- 57:41[SPEAKER_02]: Some order for small businesses to help run the economy.
- 57:43[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to need money.
- 57:45[SPEAKER_02]: So it's always going to be around.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care what everybody else doing.
- 57:48[SPEAKER_02]: I stay focused on what I'm doing.
- 57:50[SPEAKER_02]: When I focus on other people, I'm now stopping myself from producing, from progressing.
- 57:55[SPEAKER_02]: So all it is and excuse my language, but I just got a little passionate because people say all the time, oh, it's some of you people get into the industry.
- 58:01[SPEAKER_02]: It's so saturated.
- 58:02[SPEAKER_02]: It's excuses.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's a limited mindset.
- 58:05[SPEAKER_02]: Most people are afraid to take accountability and put the power back into their hands.
- 58:10[SPEAKER_02]: It does not matter how many people are in the industry.
- 58:11[SPEAKER_02]: It does not matter what you went through.
- 58:14[SPEAKER_02]: It all matters as your actions from now on.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_02]: We can't control what happens to us.
- 58:17[SPEAKER_02]: We can control how we react to it.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_02]: So it can be a million people getting the funding space tomorrow.
- 58:21[SPEAKER_02]: I don't care why because I'm still going to operate my team.
- 58:24[SPEAKER_02]: I'm still going to be at a high level and all those people that are now getting to the space are starting from ground one and it's just going to make me look better.
- 58:31[SPEAKER_02]: That's why when this interview comes out, they're going to buy a yo.
- 58:33[SPEAKER_02]: You have five other people in the U of funding and he the only one that gave us all this information.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, because his love was to it.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I got the bill.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_00]: You see a very focused bro, a solid is he really focused real structure real intentional That's why I move from Atlanta to Vegas, man
- 58:53[SPEAKER_00]: Oh my gosh, that might be worse for my next question though, in terms of like relationships.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: How's that working?
- 58:59[SPEAKER_00]: 29 years old, rather than a 7-figure company, really focused on the business.
- 59:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_00]: That was like a long time.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: Really good.
- 59:07[SPEAKER_00]: Really good.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_00]: Really good.
- 59:08[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 59:09[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just opening up.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_02]: Are you, um, you okay?
- 59:12[SPEAKER_02]: No.
- 59:12[SPEAKER_00]: Commitabilization?
- 59:13[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 59:15[SPEAKER_00]: How about you?
- 59:16[SPEAKER_02]: Since college.
- 59:17[SPEAKER_02]: That's why I said really good.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_02]: We was just in Miami doing the podcast and that was like, bro, you are lucky.
- 59:22[SPEAKER_02]: The girl I've been with literally has seen me play football, has seen me get kicked out of football.
- 59:27[SPEAKER_02]: Not kicked out, but I not make it in football, see me be an engineer, see me getting the credit, see me obsessed, literally go from working in Atlanta, being in Atlanta traffic to come at home.
- 59:38[SPEAKER_02]: Hugging her and going straight into my office and being there for six hours and months of that The same girl has literally seen me grow into the person I am today and now I am play her She works for the company.
- 59:51[SPEAKER_00]: W2 insurance everything so yeah not How long has it been seven years since you met her yeah so
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_02]: What's next?
- 1:00:10[SPEAKER_00]: What are we doing?
- 1:00:12[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:00:14[SPEAKER_02]: So you said it, my focus is a gift and a curse and we can talk about that, like I said, I'm cool with it.
- 1:00:20[SPEAKER_02]: I'd be so locked in that this may sound crazy, I don't even think about that.
- 1:00:28[SPEAKER_00]: Just being honest, that's like a great for you, but it's not going back great for her, I don't think.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's going great for her.
- 1:00:34[SPEAKER_02]: I think to an extent, but I think we communicate and we understand that we're just in them.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in that mode.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna say not we, right?
- 1:00:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm in that mode.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I feel like what I've been able to accomplish what I've been able to do, and it's not like we don't spend time, we still have a great life.
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm saying?
- 1:00:54[SPEAKER_02]: I take care of everything.
- 1:00:56[SPEAKER_02]: It's just one of those things that's not necessarily on my mind, because of how focused and that's the gift and a curse about being very driven.
- 1:01:02[SPEAKER_02]: It focused sometimes.
- 1:01:03[SPEAKER_02]: It's like your eyes on the prize, and you kind of don't really feel like you're in love with it.
- 1:01:08[SPEAKER_02]: I want to say focus, but a lot of things can slip through the cracks around you when you're so driven and focused on one thing.
- 1:01:13[SPEAKER_02]: So it was a gift in the curse and not going to allow me very open about that.
- 1:01:15[SPEAKER_02]: When would you hope that stops?
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_02]: Good question.
- 1:01:19[SPEAKER_02]: And that's probably where you can give me some advice too.
- 1:01:23[SPEAKER_02]: So just be honest, this is one of those things where it's like, I tell myself personally like, I once I reached this goal, then this this once I reached this goal, then it's this.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_02]: I've been able to make just this year alone almost $2 million.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: And it's like, I'm still like, why need to do this?
- 1:01:40[SPEAKER_02]: So let me ask you, this is where we bring in the social proof therapy session, man.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_02]: So what do you think looking back at U.S. 29 and where I'm at right now?
- 1:01:52[SPEAKER_02]: What advice would you give me?
- 1:01:55[SPEAKER_00]: Be advised that I give you a specialist in the eye.
- 1:01:57[SPEAKER_00]: I am a relationship guru.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_00]: The advice that I will give you is to keep going on a path that you're going down.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_00]: And don't let any other person force you into doing something that you're not comfortable with.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if you're going for 20 years.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_00]: There's nothing that says you have to put a ring on her finger.
- 1:02:25[SPEAKER_00]: And it may be uncomfortable, but she knows who you are.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_00]: She's known you that long.
- 1:02:29[SPEAKER_00]: She knows exactly who you are.
- 1:02:32[SPEAKER_00]: And the only thing that's going to change her perspective about what's happening is other people.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_00]: Because when y'all together, y'all together.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's not like the experience is less because y'all don't have a piece of paper that says you are married.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_00]: Now, on the other side, I would say that mentally locking in to have that ring that paper, it just gives her more security, and you may have some fear of commitment or something like that.
- 1:03:12[SPEAKER_00]: When it comes to relationships, because you can commit to a business, but you may have fear of commitment.
- 1:03:18[SPEAKER_00]: But when you lock in, it, uh, something happens, something happens to you, where it's like, you know, I am one, looked at differently.
- 1:03:27[SPEAKER_00]: This ring, and while it told me this, and I never forgot it, he said, this ring represents something, and people see it, and he respects you on a different level because it shows that you're committed in other areas of your life as well.
- 1:03:41[SPEAKER_00]: that's one but two mentally just something happens when you're like building a family and something happens with her too sometimes where she goes even harder to make sure that you are the best man that you can be every single day going out in the
- 1:04:03[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, it's almost like sometimes, and I've seen it as soon as you say I do, there are whole, another human being, and you're like, oh, who is this that I'm living with?
- 1:04:15[SPEAKER_00]: Because there's a certain entitlement, and now you owe a certain amount of time, or I'm expecting responsibility, a certain level of responsibility for me.
- 1:04:23[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't know, bro.
- 1:04:24[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_02]: It's tough, right?
- 1:04:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's tough.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:29[SPEAKER_00]: I got married in six months after being on a hat.
- 1:04:33[SPEAKER_00]: I don't recommend that.
- 1:04:35[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know about this.
- 1:04:37[SPEAKER_00]: I'd be blessed.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want a guy's favorite, so I believe so I've been covered in that way.
- 1:04:41[SPEAKER_00]: But I don't know, bro.
- 1:04:44[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know.
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_00]: This is the other side of your life, though.
- 1:04:47[SPEAKER_00]: But Joey, it's 29.
- 1:04:48[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:04:49[SPEAKER_00]: You might have found somebody else in your 30s.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_02]: I ain't even worried about that.
- 1:04:54[SPEAKER_02]: Try, try, give me a set of it.
- 1:04:55[SPEAKER_00]: I ain't even worried about that.
- 1:04:56[SPEAKER_00]: I'm just saying, well, I'm not.
- 1:04:58[SPEAKER_00]: I do worry about that.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_02]: At least that.
- 1:04:59[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, well, yeah, I'm not.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_02]: I guess, cut that out.
- 1:05:02[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not.
- 1:05:03[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I'm it?
- 1:05:05[SPEAKER_02]: Try and give me a cut-up on the social-proof podcast, man.
- 1:05:08[SPEAKER_00]: I have to tell you that there's a way to make it a forester, man.
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_00]: Oh, man, it's gonna be a long conversation with you at home.
- 1:05:16[SPEAKER_00]: Um, so, oh, here's another, um, conversation, um, you as you're getting older.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:05:26[SPEAKER_00]: What are you doing with your money now, actually?
- 1:05:29[SPEAKER_02]: So right now, just being in quite honest, literally just stacking it, and this is a, this is going to be the second year, what third year, why I had to pay a lot of money to Uncle Sam because I failed to actually invest into assets early on.
- 1:05:45[SPEAKER_02]: And like I said, it's nobody fault, but mine's I just when you don't come from money Just seeing that money there.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_02]: It just gives you that confident when you know I know like I'm probably it's not gonna be likely that I'm just fall directly on my head and be lose everything I have all that once you know what I mean?
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but it's just something where it's just when you never had you just hold on to it tight and that's usually not the best thing to do because it's limited believe.
- 1:06:12[SPEAKER_02]: So Just even this year I almost had to pay $200,000 in taxes Been there with a kind of alleviate that a little bit But this could have been easy alleviated if I started investing into assets early on like commercial real estate or just regular real estate to depreciate some of some of the, you know, saying liability I have on its outside.
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_02]: So
- 1:06:30[SPEAKER_02]: Personally, just being quite honest, not much of anything.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_02]: Maybe buying cars, but that's not really That's not really as beneficial.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_02]: It looks cool.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_02]: It helps with marketing, makes you feel good stuff I never had before, but I haven't actually done truly anything to start building my legacy being very transparent
- 1:06:51[SPEAKER_00]: I always talk about the seasons of business and some are up and down, and laws change, rules change, and just things just start happening, so I would definitely recommend, one, I recommend starting a podcast, it's end of the year, start a podcast, buy some equipment, set up your podcast, add the studio, something like that, because you guys start putting some money and the thing that's going to make you money next year, yeah.
- 1:07:14[SPEAKER_00]: But also I would for sure recommend some real estate something that can because you got cash right.
- 1:07:21[SPEAKER_00]: So I just I just got this building it was 229,000 and what I out the smart thing to do is to take some of the cash put it in and then buy it and buy it out right I'm doing that kind of stuff some time.
- 1:07:38[SPEAKER_00]: But I know that I have a certain amount of income that takes care of my lifestyle through real estate period.
- 1:07:45[SPEAKER_00]: I don't care if I have a good year, bad year.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_00]: I get depressed, so when I go to Ghana for a little bit, like I got something that comes in, that will take care of my lifestyle forever.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_00]: But right now with the cash, we just buy watches and stuff.
- 1:08:00[SPEAKER_00]: And I did that too, mine.
- 1:08:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then there's a double that's so many money.
- 1:08:03[SPEAKER_00]: We're both new money essentially.
- 1:08:06[SPEAKER_00]: I have money for 20 years yet, so yeah, so how many watches do you need, Brad?
- 1:08:10[SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.
- 1:08:11[SPEAKER_02]: Like even one thing I was doing and it just became a double-edged sword, I'm like damn, we got to pay this back, screw it, put it in the ads.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_02]: Then we just made money with ads and this is the same problem.
- 1:08:24[SPEAKER_02]: You're like, okay, marketing, 100% tax deductible, okay, cool, put a bunch of money at the end of you made more and it's like, bro, we literally have to say, predetermined over.
- 1:08:35[SPEAKER_02]: So that's one thing in 2026 that I told myself that I wanted to get into is like, really just start building outside of the business.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_02]: You know, so I've been able to focus to actually build the business and help other people become successful in the funding space.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_02]: But I want to take it on some of myself to start infesting and not becoming the craziest real estate investor, but just start building assets, you know, saying that pay me like you said, where you can go travel and not have to worry about, do I have a good amount of bad money or anything like that?
- 1:09:02[SPEAKER_00]: I got you, bro.
- 1:09:03[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna help you.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah man.
- 1:09:04[SPEAKER_00]: The first thing I want you to do, take some of the money, go buy a diamond ring.
- 1:09:10[SPEAKER_00]: Why don't I have a ring size, okay?
- 1:09:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let's put that, that's marketing, okay?
- 1:09:16[SPEAKER_00]: That's marketing.
- 1:09:17[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not marketing that.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_00]: It would be cool.
- 1:09:20[SPEAKER_00]: And we filmed this.
- 1:09:21[SPEAKER_02]: And we filmed this.
- 1:09:23[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, the down.
- 1:09:24[SPEAKER_02]: Every boy imposes it.
- 1:09:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, that's marketing.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_00]: It'll be marketing.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know, yeah, I don't know.
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_00]: She wants to be a part of your marketing team.
- 1:09:34[SPEAKER_00]: No, I got you over it.
- 1:09:35[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I got you because you, you'd be in 29, but I just turned 41.
- 1:09:40[SPEAKER_00]: I wish I had half the sense that you have right now.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:09:45[SPEAKER_00]: I was an idiot, 29, oh gosh, and I wasn't really making it on money like that, yeah, so I was making a lot of mistakes.
- 1:09:53[SPEAKER_00]: But now is it's how you walk into them, 30s, the 30s are building your 50s, and then the 40s are going to be building your 60s and then after that, just like for your kids.
- 1:10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want kids?
- 1:10:04[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, of course.
- 1:10:05[SPEAKER_00]: Do you want kids too?
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:10:07[SPEAKER_00]: First thing, I want you to give her a baby, right?
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_00]: It's the second time you're going to do that.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_02]: We're going to name it, we're going to name it David.
- 1:10:17[SPEAKER_00]: Listen, I'm going to name it David.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_00]: Hey, this is how mentorship works, man.
- 1:10:20[SPEAKER_00]: Give her a baby, give her a ring.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_00]: I know you're not feeling it right now.
- 1:10:23[SPEAKER_00]: Just force yourself.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_02]: What they say, what they say, they say it went man, when you had a baby, make you go harder.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_00]: It don't, bro.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_00]: I'm telling it.
- 1:10:34[SPEAKER_00]: My kids took a lot of my hustle because I want to be home on a time.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_00]: Then I do a, I do a dad joke.
- 1:10:42[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to right now.
- 1:10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Like, I want to be home with my kids.
- 1:10:46[SPEAKER_00]: I think, um, survive on Mondays.
- 1:10:51[SPEAKER_00]: She has, uh, Sheer.
- 1:10:53[SPEAKER_00]: They got a bunch of stuff and I don't even know their schedule.
- 1:10:55[SPEAKER_00]: And I feel bad about that.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_00]: But I'm working.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm actually going next week to take a think trip.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_00]: I'm about to restructure my entire life, to make sure I can not make sure, but I can give time to my kids, time to our wife, time to my business, dedicated time, dedicated hours, with specific outcomes for each, because I haven't sat down and figured it out yet.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_02]: So that's the other phase of business that people don't talk about, because just being transparent, me being young and just being a hellhunter and just getting to it, I kind of just be like screw work-life balance.
- 1:11:30[SPEAKER_02]: Like just being honest, like, I made money, but I was still crack a 12-hour day.
- 1:11:33[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, just look at what I've done in the past week.
- 1:11:36[SPEAKER_02]: I literally came from Vegas to New York from New York to Miami to Miami to here.
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_02]: And I'm just like, we're on the road.
- 1:11:43[SPEAKER_02]: We've waking up at six a.m. working out, coming here, you know what I'm saying?
- 1:11:46[SPEAKER_02]: So it's like, when do you prioritize or make that switch to where it's like, I do need that work life balance now?
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_02]: Is it once you start a family or does it just happen?
- 1:11:57[SPEAKER_02]: Do you even know when you're going to meet?
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_02]: Cause right now I'm just so on go, you know what I mean?
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_00]: This is what you feel you want that.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're a desire right now when I was I met my wife again six months later I asked her to marry me not because it was the right time or because I was getting older it was because I felt this is what I want I want to start building the family one of the reasons I propose to my wife is because she's an amazing woman and I have a habit of messing stuff up I got a habit of there we all in my mind
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_00]: I'm gonna make sure it's something about her that really makes her not the one.
- 1:12:42[SPEAKER_00]: So in my, this is, I mean, I don't know if I ever told anybody this, but I made me a subatory.
- 1:12:48[SPEAKER_00]: No, I'm gonna love you.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_00]: I was like, everything about you.
- 1:12:51[SPEAKER_00]: But I was like, bro, I don't wanna lose, I don't wanna be in my head, losing a good thing because I'm at a point in my life, I'm ready.
- 1:12:58[SPEAKER_00]: Nobody said yo, Dave, you're getting up there in age, nobody said yo, you need to get work like balance.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_00]: This is one thing in my life, this missing, I want that.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to go get it.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_00]: So once you feel like, bro, I'm burnt out and I need something solid at home and I really wanna start building a family and I care enough about her feelings to see that like, can I satisfy whatever desire she wants?
- 1:13:28[SPEAKER_00]: You start feeling yourself being a little bit selfless but don't let anybody talk you into that.
- 1:13:38[SPEAKER_00]: That's what I need.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_00]: Most of it.
- 1:13:40[SPEAKER_00]: We'll make you surprised.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_02]: Go ahead.
- 1:13:42[SPEAKER_02]: Social proven relationship with this.
- 1:13:44[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, man.
- 1:13:45[SPEAKER_00]: Here you go, baby.
- 1:13:46[SPEAKER_00]: Get a ring.
- 1:13:47[SPEAKER_00]: And then.
- 1:13:49[SPEAKER_00]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 1:14:06[SPEAKER_02]: So to talk about that, I basically grew up with just my mother.
- 1:14:09[SPEAKER_02]: She actually lives in Atlanta.
- 1:14:12[SPEAKER_00]: My father, she's here.
- 1:14:14[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, she lives in Gwyneth.
- 1:14:15[SPEAKER_02]: But yeah, my father was never in my life and crazy enough.
- 1:14:19[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's the first time I set his own on a podcast.
- 1:14:22[SPEAKER_02]: My father actually played an NFL.
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_02]: Really?
- 1:14:23[SPEAKER_02]: My father, his name is, I'll just say his name is Van Wader.
- 1:14:26[SPEAKER_02]: She played an NFL, but never was in my life.
- 1:14:29[SPEAKER_02]: Never, I've probably seen, I'm 29, I've probably seen him three times out of my life.
- 1:14:33[SPEAKER_00]: really.
- 1:14:34[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, three times out of my life, played an NFL is in the Hall of Fame for University of Indiana for football.
- 1:14:43[SPEAKER_02]: People say I look like them, seen them maybe three times.
- 1:14:51[SPEAKER_02]: What?
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:14:52[SPEAKER_02]: Why haven't you seen them?
- 1:14:54[SPEAKER_02]: So I know it's
- 1:14:56[SPEAKER_02]: I know it's two sides to every story, just being honest, so I don't know his side of the story, but I feel like as a man, if you have a child, there should be nothing real.
- 1:15:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that should be a child.
- 1:15:06[SPEAKER_00]: Are you seeing him?
- 1:15:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that should be a girl.
- 1:15:11[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that is your daddy.
- 1:15:12[SPEAKER_00]: Like forever.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_00]: Never seen him.
- 1:15:13[SPEAKER_00]: Here, lad, eyebrows.
- 1:15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that should be a daddy, bro.
- 1:15:18[SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_00]: That's what she said.
- 1:15:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:15:20[SPEAKER_00]: But you, you see him maybe three times.
- 1:15:24[SPEAKER_02]: seen on three times the last memory I could remember of actually seeing him was when the PSP came out.
- 1:15:31[SPEAKER_02]: So the he was posted picked me up one day from my mom's house.
- 1:15:34[SPEAKER_02]: It's when we lived in Miami.
- 1:15:36[SPEAKER_02]: He did not pick me up.
- 1:15:37[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, maybe like seven eight around there, but you remember this.
- 1:15:42[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I'll even remember like seven eight nine ten around the first second or third time.
- 1:15:46[SPEAKER_02]: probably the second time.
- 1:15:47[SPEAKER_02]: No, it was the third time, third time.
- 1:15:49[SPEAKER_02]: There's the last time you see him.
- 1:15:50[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, in person.
- 1:15:51[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:15:52[SPEAKER_02]: So he didn't pick me up that day.
- 1:15:55[SPEAKER_02]: And I was winning all day when from the come.
- 1:15:57[SPEAKER_02]: And he pinned up the next day.
- 1:15:59[SPEAKER_02]: And I guess what was like a guilty gift.
- 1:16:01[SPEAKER_02]: He got me a PSP.
- 1:16:02[SPEAKER_02]: That's when it first came out.
- 1:16:03[SPEAKER_02]: If you remember the PSP, the handheld game, it was like 250 bucks.
- 1:16:07[SPEAKER_02]: And then I was like my last remembering.
- 1:16:09[SPEAKER_02]: The last time I communicated with him was when I injured myself and was at high school or it was either middle school or my nine grade year because I played varsity nine grades pretty good at football.
- 1:16:24[SPEAKER_02]: I injured my shoulder and my mom, I guess, I don't know why she called them.
- 1:16:29[SPEAKER_02]: But she was like, she basically made it like it was in emergency.
- 1:16:33[SPEAKER_02]: So we're like,
- 1:16:34[SPEAKER_02]: He either thought that something traumatic I happened or I died.
- 1:16:37[SPEAKER_02]: So he called and he was like, yeah, I'm gonna come up there.
- 1:16:40[SPEAKER_02]: Never came.
- 1:16:42[SPEAKER_02]: So, that's already the last member I have of them.
- 1:16:45[SPEAKER_02]: And I say that to really inspire other people because it's so many opportunities I had to use that or other things, I didn't come from a great background.
- 1:16:54[SPEAKER_02]: My mom don't have money.
- 1:16:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't come from my family's as successful, so to say, a lot of them, right?
- 1:17:01[SPEAKER_02]: I could have used all that as an excuse, but yet I used that to drive me to get to where I am today.
- 1:17:06[SPEAKER_00]: How does it make you feel though?
- 1:17:08[SPEAKER_02]: Um, couple of different emotions.
- 1:17:12[SPEAKER_02]: I feel like I grew with a lot of hate towards him.
- 1:17:16[SPEAKER_02]: I felt like I, I value football because of him, because he was good at football and that's one thing I don't analyze myself with.
- 1:17:25[SPEAKER_02]: Um, but now is, I feel like I'm hiding it to not get emotional, but I feel like I don't care.
- 1:17:32[SPEAKER_02]: But I do feel like I do care because I feel like, why?
- 1:17:36[SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense?
- 1:17:37[SPEAKER_02]: And I would never know why.
- 1:17:40[SPEAKER_00]: Is he still around?
- 1:17:41[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:17:43[SPEAKER_00]: So you could find out why.
- 1:17:46[SPEAKER_00]: But you don't care.
- 1:17:47[SPEAKER_00]: You've, you've convinced yourself that you don't care the reason, but you do want another reason.
- 1:17:52[SPEAKER_02]: True.
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_02]: Crazy, right?
- 1:17:54[SPEAKER_02]: So why don't you make the call?
- 1:17:57[SPEAKER_02]: If a person had been in your life your whole life in your 29 years old, was it a talk about?
- 1:18:03[SPEAKER_00]: Man, we thought about regret.
- 1:18:06[SPEAKER_00]: You remember?
- 1:18:08[SPEAKER_02]: We did, we did, we did, we did, we did, we did.
- 1:18:12[SPEAKER_00]: Right now, you have an opportunity to find out what happened or why he wasn't in your life.
- 1:18:21[SPEAKER_00]: Whether the reason was good or bad or satisfies you or not, but you just don't know.
- 1:18:27[SPEAKER_00]: You have an opportunity to find out.
- 1:18:29[SPEAKER_00]: It could be a call.
- 1:18:33[SPEAKER_00]: What would I get his number from your mom has a number if it's a saying number.
- 1:18:37[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, sorry, so I could find a way about putting effort.
- 1:18:42[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 1:18:43[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I'm about to use all everything But if something happens to him, yeah, and you never know why that's something you gotta live with that's the regret You gotta live with
- 1:18:56[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, true.
- 1:18:57[SPEAKER_00]: You don't know what hat bro.
- 1:18:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's I think 60 years old us all.
- 1:19:02[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he's 60 years old and you got one side of story and your mind saying what?
- 1:19:11[SPEAKER_02]: Um, I would even say just saying like anything, just basically saying like he's not there or whatever case, maybe I never got any real, does that make sense?
- 1:19:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's just being honest.
- 1:19:23[SPEAKER_02]: I never really got any real explanation of what happened or what led to him not being there.
- 1:19:28[SPEAKER_02]: It's just like your dad's not here.
- 1:19:30[SPEAKER_02]: He, you know, basically I'm the one taking care of you.
- 1:19:32[SPEAKER_02]: Does that make sense?
- 1:19:34[SPEAKER_02]: So maybe even digging into that, but just being honest and maybe that's like a limited, like,
- 1:19:38[SPEAKER_02]: It's something I always just put in the back of my head.
- 1:19:40[SPEAKER_02]: I just always stay focused on what I did and never really played in two because I was like, I can't control that.
- 1:19:47[SPEAKER_00]: Does he know that you're a son?
- 1:19:49[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, 100%.
- 1:19:50[SPEAKER_02]: 100?
- 1:19:51[SPEAKER_02]: Well, I assume.
- 1:19:53[SPEAKER_02]: I went to my grandmother's house, which is his mother's house.
- 1:19:57[SPEAKER_02]: I went to his sister's house before when I been to Miami, and they know they called them.
- 1:20:02[SPEAKER_02]: They let them know that I was over there.
- 1:20:04[SPEAKER_02]: And he never came, never said, oh, let me talk to him.
- 1:20:07[SPEAKER_02]: None of that.
- 1:20:08[SPEAKER_02]: So they've had reached out and had a tribal relationship with me.
- 1:20:13[SPEAKER_02]: But it just has it been him like even mine my aunt which is his sister's husband whatever that is to me, right?
- 1:20:21[SPEAKER_02]: He was like yo if advanced see how great of a damn son that he has Like it was just he a fool like he literally told me that because like this is out there I'm more established in business playful ball And he was like yo you're doing everything that a father will want in their son And he doesn't even know how great a person you are
- 1:20:39[SPEAKER_00]: He may not know that you're a son, so think about just think about this because if you just say I just look like him you do however
- 1:20:48[SPEAKER_00]: So think about this.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:20:50[SPEAKER_00]: You're quick.
- 1:20:52[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say for instance, you're dating someone, long term commitment, let's just say, you're all been together seven years, okay?
- 1:21:01[SPEAKER_00]: And that you find out this woman has been talking to two other people.
- 1:21:06[SPEAKER_00]: Let's just say there's a hypothetical situation.
- 1:21:09[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:21:10[SPEAKER_00]: And she ends up pregnant.
- 1:21:11[SPEAKER_00]: And she says it's yours.
- 1:21:14[SPEAKER_00]: How'd you feel?
- 1:21:17[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, with that, hold on.
- 1:21:18[SPEAKER_02]: I wanna know.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_00]: No, don't.
- 1:21:19[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, she has, you'll probably leave.
- 1:21:22[SPEAKER_00]: She has the baby.
- 1:21:23[SPEAKER_00]: You don't agree.
- 1:21:24[SPEAKER_00]: You don't even know whether it is baby as yours or not.
- 1:21:27[SPEAKER_00]: And you're so upset, you don't care to get it to us.
- 1:21:31[SPEAKER_02]: So, if that happened, maybe it wasn't says maybe it wasn't, but you're right.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_02]: If that happened.
- 1:21:34[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:21:35[SPEAKER_00]: But we don't know if that happened.
- 1:21:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:21:37[SPEAKER_00]: So you got one side of the story.
- 1:21:38[SPEAKER_00]: His side might be, bro, I'm going to be a hundred percent.
- 1:21:41[SPEAKER_00]: I was with you.
- 1:21:42[SPEAKER_00]: Your mom was dealing with all kind of stuff going on.
- 1:21:44[SPEAKER_00]: And I don't, we never confirmed.
- 1:21:46[SPEAKER_00]: I was just so hurt.
- 1:21:48[SPEAKER_00]: I'm given a hypothetical situation that could be really, really real.
- 1:21:52[SPEAKER_00]: but you won't know.
- 1:21:54[SPEAKER_00]: And it's 29.
- 1:21:55[SPEAKER_00]: You have no idea how you can like mend a relationship and start having a relationship with your dad if that's your dad.
- 1:22:02[SPEAKER_00]: You know what I mean?
- 1:22:03[SPEAKER_00]: There's so many scenarios and you're a grown man.
- 1:22:06[SPEAKER_00]: You don't have to run from that.
- 1:22:07[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:22:08[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm talking to you from the perspective of somebody who doesn't have his mom or his dad.
- 1:22:13[SPEAKER_00]: And there were a lot of questions that I got a chance to ask my mom and my dad before they pass.
- 1:22:19[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why my mom and dad are not together as a kid growing up.
- 1:22:23[SPEAKER_00]: They just not together.
- 1:22:25[SPEAKER_00]: And I asked my mom this question one time.
- 1:22:27[SPEAKER_00]: I said, mom, how long were you out married?
- 1:22:30[SPEAKER_00]: She said, 16 years.
- 1:22:32[SPEAKER_00]: I said, how many of those years were happy?
- 1:22:35[SPEAKER_00]: She said, like, one.
- 1:22:37[SPEAKER_00]: She's dead.
- 1:22:40[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe they just were all, they married the wrong person.
- 1:22:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then I said, well, why would y'all say it together so long?
- 1:22:46[SPEAKER_00]: She was like, well, I'm really for the kids.
- 1:22:49[SPEAKER_00]: So when someone says that I would say, yeah, that's just dumb.
- 1:22:53[SPEAKER_00]: Why was my state together with somebody this long?
- 1:22:56[SPEAKER_00]: Just for kids.
- 1:22:57[SPEAKER_00]: Now understand, my parents stayed together.
- 1:23:00[SPEAKER_00]: So their kids can have a father and a mother growing up.
- 1:23:05[SPEAKER_00]: And now I'm married.
- 1:23:07[SPEAKER_00]: If me and my wife like had friction and we did have friction seven years so there are years where we had friction, but I'm not leaving you, my kids are going grow up and I also would have mom and dad, so it made sense.
- 1:23:20[SPEAKER_00]: But for a very long time, my mom and my dad not being together made me start finding stuff wrong with people once I started having feelings for somebody.
- 1:23:32[SPEAKER_00]: Because in my mind, marriages don't work.
- 1:23:34[SPEAKER_00]: My mom and dad got divorced, my aunt and uncle got divorced, everybody I knew got divorced.
- 1:23:39[SPEAKER_00]: So this might be some, it's, make sense.
- 1:23:41[SPEAKER_00]: This is some of your reservation with the commitment with the woman that I wanted to actually own.
- 1:23:47[SPEAKER_02]: You think it ties by that knee?
- 1:23:48[SPEAKER_00]: 100%.
- 1:23:51[SPEAKER_00]: 100% she saw you from from college to get injured to a job that you hate to doing illegal credit repair to funding to where we are now and who knows how many years after this this is going to go on but as something to do with like you're unsure why to people don't stay together
- 1:24:13[SPEAKER_00]: Could be Yeah, bro What's your answer?
- 1:24:17[SPEAKER_02]: Oh no.
- 1:24:18[SPEAKER_02]: You got a DM when we go send them a video?
- 1:24:20[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, my boy.
- 1:24:21[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just that.
- 1:24:23[SPEAKER_02]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
- 1:24:38[SPEAKER_02]: probably because of what it would do to me, right?
- 1:24:41[SPEAKER_02]: Be emotional.
- 1:24:42[SPEAKER_02]: That's probably what it is.
- 1:24:43[SPEAKER_02]: She's been honest, but I just never really thought about it.
- 1:24:46[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't actually do with it your whole life, because I could tell you in this conversation you're holding something back emotionally.
- 1:24:51[SPEAKER_00]: Like you're trying to suppress it.
- 1:24:53[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
- 1:24:54[SPEAKER_00]: For sure.
- 1:24:55[SPEAKER_00]: But you won't have to do that once you know.
- 1:24:58[SPEAKER_00]: Just face it.
- 1:25:00[SPEAKER_00]: You're right.
- 1:25:01[SPEAKER_00]: You know what?
- 1:25:02[SPEAKER_00]: I hate facing like cold calls where I call people and they hang up on me, things in the nature, right?
- 1:25:09[SPEAKER_00]: I just, I don't like it.
- 1:25:12[SPEAKER_00]: If I'm your mentee, what do you tell me?
- 1:25:15[SPEAKER_00]: Do more of it to get better at it.
- 1:25:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're afraid of like the cold couple.
- 1:25:21[SPEAKER_00]: So let's be able to buy it.
- 1:25:22[SPEAKER_00]: Don't be a hypocrite.
- 1:25:24[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, I've got you.
- 1:25:25[SPEAKER_00]: It's conversation
- 1:25:27[SPEAKER_02]: Not as good though, it's good though, I like stuff like this because it gives you the real.
- 1:25:30[SPEAKER_02]: And like we talked about before, I like being authentic or gaining and letting people know that no matter how much money you made, no matter how successful, no matter how much somebody thinks your life is perfect, there's always things you do it.
- 1:25:42[SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't lie about my emotions, I kept it on the one with you.
- 1:25:45[SPEAKER_02]: I said, yo, I'm just, it's in the back of my head, yes I do, for the type of way about it.
- 1:25:49[SPEAKER_02]: I didn't make it seem like, you know how people get on the axle.
- 1:25:53[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, man.
- 1:25:54[SPEAKER_00]: I've learned about building a gram in Arab people that connect with you.
- 1:25:59[SPEAKER_00]: And outside of funding, I see an knowledgeable about funding, business, and there's a lot I can learn from you, because even though you're younger than me, like I learned a lot today.
- 1:26:09[SPEAKER_00]: But I think you can see it to show up, and you're authentic self, and you keep building what you're building.
- 1:26:15[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to do something special, bro.
- 1:26:17[SPEAKER_00]: So, y'all better Harry have a rock locking one right now because he's going to be hard to reach a minute.
- 1:26:23[SPEAKER_00]: Man, thank you so much for coming by, but I appreciate this conversation.
- 1:26:26[SPEAKER_00]: I don't know how people can connect with you with their looking for funding or even looking for mentorship.
- 1:26:32[SPEAKER_00]: How can they connect with you?
- 1:26:32[SPEAKER_02]: So I got a couple of things, man, that I want to get people.
- 1:26:36[SPEAKER_02]: First, the foremost, if you want to connect with me, you can find me on LinkedIn, and step-in-waiters, YouTube at step-in-waiters, Instagram at stead.waters, just for your podcast, man, just for the social proof podcast.
- 1:26:48[SPEAKER_02]: And then we would know a lot of high-level stuff, more different stuff than people come in and talk about.
- 1:26:53[SPEAKER_02]: So I want to get them two-free gifts, man.
- 1:26:55[SPEAKER_02]: Somebody's interested in starting and getting into the funding space, becoming
- 1:27:01[SPEAKER_02]: I got a completely free course showing you how to start your business from A to Z and showing you how to market, going into more detail of the things we talked about today, and secondly, if you're somebody that's already in this space, but you just lack the manpower that we talked about, you don't have the team, the structure.
- 1:27:15[SPEAKER_02]: I have a free completely free step, I still got how you can hire your first hires and what roads you should hire at to actually grow a skill your funding company.
- 1:27:23[SPEAKER_02]: And with those two bonuses, last but not least, we have a free funding workshop that we do weekly that you guys can come to engage with me, I do on live where I get a lot of information on how to secure funding for yourself or you know how to get into the space so you can I'll give you a link for that.

- 1:27:59[SPEAKER_00]: Now we get a bunch of deals.
- 1:28:01[SPEAKER_00]: Stead up with deal right now, I'm right.
- 1:28:03[SPEAKER_00]: You got to get that.
- 1:28:04[SPEAKER_00]: Just head that conversation, but not if you're looking to expand your business and you need.
- 1:28:09[SPEAKER_00]: Funny man, reach out to my brother real quick last question.
- 1:28:12[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, leave us with a word of wisdom We kind of wrap up this conversation in in a few sentences.
- 1:28:20[SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying, but just leave us a little work
- 1:28:22[SPEAKER_02]: I would say, do what you would do if fear wasn't involved, right?
- 1:28:27[SPEAKER_02]: A lot of us, we don't reach or accomplish the goals that we want to because of fear.
- 1:28:31[SPEAKER_02]: And we don't understand if fear is a mile wide, but an inch deep.
- 1:28:35[SPEAKER_02]: It's like an ocean, right?
- 1:28:36[SPEAKER_02]: When we look at an ocean that's a mile wide, we're scared, we're terrified.
- 1:28:40[SPEAKER_02]: But when we step in, it's short, it's only an inch, we see that it's not that bad, right?
- 1:28:44[SPEAKER_02]: So the thing that you're scared to do is probably the thing that's going to help you level up and grow.
- 1:28:48[SPEAKER_02]: And not only just in business, it can be spiritually or as just a person, right?
- 1:28:52[SPEAKER_02]: So do what you would do if it wasn't involved, and you remember you only get one life, it doesn't matter people say, because they don't remember the elves, they only remember the wins.
- 1:29:00[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, there we go, listen man, we can't close out no better than that.
- 1:29:03[SPEAKER_00]: Man, make sure I reach out to my boys for all your funding, business, needs, reach out to my few enjoyed this episode.
- 1:29:11[SPEAKER_00]: Just send them a message.
- 1:29:12[SPEAKER_00]: I really felt that I learned something.
- 1:29:14[SPEAKER_00]: Thank you so much.
- 1:29:15[SPEAKER_00]: But also, go get you some social proof meaning, go build something but it really, really big but they can come back to your community and teach them how you did it.
- 1:29:23[SPEAKER_00]: It's the only way our community grows.
- 1:29:24[SPEAKER_00]: We out.
- 1:29:26[SPEAKER_00]: Peace.
- 1:29:27[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to say it.
- 1:29:28[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all bro, give me a, I literally just rap a session.
