  It
• 1:30
  is
• 1:30
  a
• 1:31
  wild
• 1:31
  one
• 1:31
  out
• 1:31
  there.
• 1:32
  All
• 1:32
  the
• 1:32
  politicking
• 1:33
  going
• 1:33
  around
• 1:34
  the
• 1:34
  southeast
• 1:35
  is
• 1:35
  freezing
• 1:35
  their
• 1:35
  butts
• 1:36
  off
• 1:36
  out
• 1:36
  there.
• 1:37
  There's
• 1:37
  so
• 1:37
  much
• 1:38
  going
• 1:38
  on.
• 1:38
  So
• 1:38
  everybody
• 1:39
  take
• 1:39
  a
• 1:39
  nice
• 1:40
  deep
• 1:41
  breath
• 1:41
  and
• 1:41
  we
• 1:42
  are
• 1:42
  halfway
• 1:42
  to
• 1:42
  the
• 1:42
  weekend
• 1:43
  where
• 1:43
  we're
• 1:44
  gonna
• 1:44
  have
• 1:44
  another
• 1:44
  two
• 1:44
  hours
• 1:45
  of
• 1:45
  around
• 1:46
  the
• 1:46
  house
• 1:46
  show
• 1:46
  this
• 1:46
  weekend.
• 1:47
  We
• 1:47
  got
• 1:47
  a
• 1:47
  great
• 1:47
  one
• 1:48
  coming
• 1:48
  up.
• 1:48
  We'll
• 1:48
  talk
• 1:48
  about
• 1:49
  that
• 1:49
  later
• 1:49
  in
• 1:49
  the
• 1:50
  week.
• 1:50
  But
• 1:51
  today
• 1:51
  I
• 1:51
  wanted
• 1:51
  to
• 1:52
  give
• 1:52
  a
• 1:52
  quick
• 1:52
  education
• 1:53
  for
• 1:53
  all
• 1:53
  of
• 1:53
  our
• 1:54
  friends
• 1:54
  here
• 1:55
  basically
• 1:55
  in
• 1:56
  the
• 1:56
  rest
• 1:56
  of
• 1:56
  the
• 1:56
  country,
• 1:57
  except
• 1:57
  for
• 1:57
  the.
• 1:57
  For
• 1:57
  the
• 1:58
  west
• 1:58
  coast
• 1:58
  here.
• 1:58
  All
• 1:59
  of
• 1:59
  you
• 1:59
  in
• 1:59
  the
• 1:59
  north
• 1:59
  understand
• 2:00
  this.
• 2:01
  All
• 2:01
  of
• 2:01
  you
• 2:02
  in
• 2:02
  the
• 2:02
  south.
• 2:02
  This
• 2:03
  is
• 2:03
  new
• 2:03
  territory
• 2:04
  and
• 2:04
  we're
• 2:04
  here
• 2:04
  to
• 2:04
  help
• 2:04
  you
• 2:05
  out
• 2:05
  today.
• 2:06
  How
• 2:06
  do
• 2:06
  you
• 2:06
  deal
• 2:07
  with
• 2:08
  pipes
• 2:08
  freezing
• 2:08
  up?
• 2:09
  Because
• 2:10
  your
• 2:10
  house
• 2:10
  was
• 2:11
  never
• 2:11
  built
• 2:12
  for
• 2:12
  snow
• 2:13
  in
• 2:13
  this
• 2:13
  kind
• 2:13
  of
• 2:13
  weather.
• 2:14
  So
• 2:15
  the
• 2:15
  first
• 2:15
  thing
• 2:15
  is,
• 2:16
  is
• 2:16
  I
• 2:16
  want
• 2:16
  to
• 2:16
  make
• 2:16
  sure
• 2:17
  that
• 2:17
  I
• 2:17
  know
• 2:17
  it's
• 2:18
  cold
• 2:18
  out
• 2:18
  there.
• 2:18
  It's
• 2:18
  gonna
• 2:18
  warm
• 2:19
  up
• 2:19
  later
• 2:19
  in
• 2:19
  the
• 2:19
  week,
• 2:19
  and
• 2:19
  that's
• 2:20
  good.
• 2:21
  But
• 2:21
  really,
• 2:21
  if
• 2:22
  you've
• 2:22
  got,
• 2:22
  you
• 2:23
  know,
• 2:23
  most
• 2:23
  of
• 2:23
  the
• 2:23
  homes,
• 2:23
  it
• 2:24
  seems,
• 2:24
  are
• 2:25
  slab
• 2:25
  on
• 2:25
  grade
• 2:26
  when
• 2:26
  you
• 2:26
  get
• 2:26
  down
• 2:27
  into
• 2:27
  Florida.
• 2:27
  So
• 2:27
  you
• 2:27
  got
• 2:28
  concrete
• 2:28
  on
• 2:29
  the
• 2:29
  dirt
• 2:29
  or
• 2:29
  stand,
• 2:30
  and
• 2:30
  that's
• 2:30
  what
• 2:30
  it
• 2:31
  is.
• 2:31
  That's
• 2:32
  one
• 2:32
  thing.
• 2:32
  You're
• 2:32
  probably
• 2:33
  gonna
• 2:33
  be
• 2:33
  a
• 2:33
  little
• 2:33
  better
• 2:34
  off
• 2:34
  with
• 2:35
  that
• 2:35
  aspect
• 2:35
  than
• 2:36
  the
• 2:36
  houses
• 2:36
  that
• 2:36
  are
• 2:36
  on
• 2:37
  crawl
• 2:37
  spaces
• 2:37
  and
• 2:38
  the
• 2:38
  few
• 2:38
  that
• 2:38
  have
• 2:38
  basements
• 2:39
  might
• 2:39
  be
• 2:40
  okay
• 2:40
  as
• 2:40
  well.
• 2:40
  But
• 2:40
  the
• 2:41
  crawl
• 2:41
  spaces
• 2:41
  is
• 2:42
  the
• 2:42
  big
• 2:42
  one.
• 2:43
  So
• 2:43
  if
• 2:43
  you've
• 2:43
  got
• 2:43
  that
• 2:44
  little
• 2:44
  space
• 2:44
  down
• 2:44
  there
• 2:44
  underneath
• 2:45
  the
• 2:45
  house,
• 2:46
  this
• 2:46
  is
• 2:46
  where
• 2:47
  the
• 2:47
  problems
• 2:48
  arise.
• 2:48
  So
• 2:48
  the
• 2:49
  first
• 2:49
  thing
• 2:49
  I
• 2:49
  want
• 2:49
  you
• 2:49
  to
• 2:49
  do
• 2:50
  is
• 2:50
  go
• 2:50
  around
• 2:51
  your
• 2:51
  house
• 2:51
  and
• 2:51
  make
• 2:51
  sure
• 2:51
  that
• 2:52
  all
• 2:52
  the
• 2:52
  water
• 2:52
  is
• 2:52
  flowing
• 2:53
  great.
• 2:53
  Because
• 2:54
  when
• 2:54
  you're
• 2:54
  getting
• 2:54
  below
• 2:54
  freezing,
• 2:55
  a
• 2:55
  lot
• 2:55
  of
• 2:55
  these
• 2:56
  homes
• 2:56
  just
• 2:56
  didn't
• 2:57
  insulate
• 2:57
  those
• 2:57
  pipes
• 2:58
  correctly.
• 2:59
  So
• 2:59
  the
• 2:59
  one
• 2:59
  thing
• 2:59
  I
• 3:00
  would
• 3:00
  do
• 3:01
  is
• 3:01
  make
• 3:02
  sure
• 3:02
  all
• 3:02
  the
• 3:02
  faucets
• 3:03
  are
• 3:03
  running
• 3:03
  good.
• 3:04
  Make
• 3:04
  sure
• 3:04
  you're
• 3:04
  good.
• 3:05
  And
• 3:05
  then
• 3:05
  what
• 3:06
  I
• 3:06
  would
• 3:06
  do
• 3:06
  is
• 3:07
  for
• 3:07
  the
• 3:07
  next
• 3:07
  couple
• 3:08
  days,
• 3:08
  keep
• 3:08
  the
• 3:08
  heat
• 3:09
  up
• 3:09
  in
• 3:09
  the
• 3:09
  house.
• 3:10
  Keep
• 3:10
  a
• 3:11
  little
• 3:11
  bit
• 3:11
  of
• 3:11
  heat
• 3:11
  going
• 3:12
  in
• 3:12
  there.
• 3:12
  Maybe
• 3:13
  it's
• 3:13
  going
• 3:13
  to
• 3:13
  be
• 3:13
  75.
• 3:14
  Yeah.
• 3:14
  Keep
• 3:15
  it
• 3:15
  nice
• 3:15
  and
• 3:15
  warm
• 3:16
  because
• 3:16
  that's
• 3:17
  going
• 3:17
  to
• 3:17
  help
• 3:17
  radiate
• 3:17
  out.
• 3:18
  Because
• 3:18
  your
• 3:18
  prowess
• 3:18
  probably
• 3:19
  isn't
• 3:19
  that
• 3:19
  well
• 3:19
  insulated
• 3:20
  as
• 3:20
  well
• 3:21
  down
• 3:21
  in
• 3:21
  those
• 3:22
  same
• 3:22
  areas.
• 3:22
  And
• 3:22
  see
• 3:23
  if
• 3:23
  you
• 3:23
  can
• 3:23
  help
• 3:23
  with
• 3:24
  that,
• 3:24
  See
• 3:25
  if
• 3:25
  you
• 3:25
  can
• 3:25
  keep
• 3:26
  that
• 3:26
  temperature
• 3:26
  up.
• 3:27
  Next
• 3:28
  up,
• 3:28
  if
• 3:28
  you
• 3:28
  have
• 3:28
  any
• 3:28
  crawl
• 3:29
  space
• 3:29
  vents
• 3:29
  out
• 3:30
  there,
• 3:30
  go
• 3:31
  close
• 3:31
  those
• 3:32
  up.
• 3:32
  If
• 3:32
  they
• 3:32
  don't
• 3:32
  close,
• 3:33
  tape
• 3:33
  some
• 3:33
  plastic
• 3:34
  over
• 3:34
  it,
• 3:34
  duct
• 3:35
  tape,
• 3:35
  whatever
• 3:35
  you
• 3:35
  got
• 3:36
  just
• 3:36
  to
• 3:36
  keep
• 3:36
  that
• 3:37
  nice
• 3:37
  and
• 3:37
  airtight.
• 3:38
  So
• 3:38
  if
• 3:38
  you
• 3:38
  do
• 3:39
  get
• 3:39
  heat
• 3:39
  in
• 3:39
  there,
• 3:40
  it
• 3:40
  keeps
• 3:40
  it
• 3:40
  in.
• 3:41
  And
• 3:41
  next
• 3:42
  up,
• 3:42
  if
• 3:43
  you've
• 3:43
  got
• 3:43
  a
• 3:44
  attic
• 3:44
  space
• 3:45
  up
• 3:45
  there
• 3:46
  and
• 3:46
  your
• 3:46
  pipes
• 3:47
  are
• 3:47
  in
• 3:47
  the
• 3:47
  attic
• 3:47
  space,
• 3:48
  here's
• 3:48
  the
• 3:49
  next
• 3:49
  thing
• 3:49
  I
• 3:49
  would
• 3:49
  do.
• 3:50
  Now
• 3:50
  this
• 3:50
  is
• 3:50
  going
• 3:50
  to
• 3:50
  be
• 3:51
  horrible
• 3:51
  for
• 3:52
  your
• 3:52
  heating
• 3:52
  bill,
• 3:53
  but
• 3:53
  it
• 3:53
  could
• 3:54
  give
• 3:54
  you
• 3:54
  enough
• 3:54
  heat
• 3:54
  to
• 3:54
  not
• 3:55
  freeze
• 3:55
  this
• 3:55
  stuff
• 3:55
  up.
• 3:56
  Go
• 3:56
  up
• 3:56
  into
• 3:57
  your,
• 3:57
  your
• 3:57
  attic
• 3:58
  access,
• 3:59
  crack
• 3:59
  that
• 3:59
  open
• 4:00
  so
• 4:00
  you
• 4:00
  leak
• 4:00
  heat
• 4:01
  up
• 4:01
  into
• 4:01
  that
• 4:02
  space
• 4:02
  up
• 4:02
  there.
• 4:03
  Now
• 4:03
  that
• 4:04
  could
• 4:04
  cause
• 4:04
  other
• 4:04
  problems.
• 4:05
  So
• 4:06
  there
• 4:06
  is
• 4:06
  a
• 4:06
  risk
• 4:06
  with
• 4:06
  this.
• 4:07
  This
• 4:08
  could
• 4:08
  cause
• 4:08
  some
• 4:08
  ice
• 4:08
  damming
• 4:09
  and
• 4:09
  things
• 4:09
  like
• 4:09
  that.
• 4:09
  We're
• 4:10
  going
• 4:10
  to
• 4:10
  melt
• 4:10
  it
• 4:11
  on
• 4:11
  the
• 4:11
  roof
• 4:11
  surface.
• 4:12
  It's
• 4:12
  going
• 4:12
  to
• 4:12
  come
• 4:13
  down,
• 4:13
  hit
• 4:13
  the
• 4:14
  eaves
• 4:14
  where
• 4:14
  it's
• 4:14
  cold
• 4:15
  and
• 4:15
  freeze
• 4:15
  back
• 4:16
  up
• 4:16
  again.
• 4:17
  So
• 4:17
  just
• 4:18
  a
• 4:18
  little
• 4:18
  bit.
• 4:18
  We
• 4:18
  just
• 4:18
  want
• 4:19
  to
• 4:19
  keep
• 4:19
  that
• 4:19
  above
• 4:19
  freezing.
• 4:20
  We
• 4:20
  don't
• 4:20
  need
• 4:20
  to
• 4:20
  open
• 4:20
  it
• 4:21
  up.
• 4:21
  So
• 4:21
  give
• 4:22
  it
• 4:22
  an
• 4:22
  inch.
• 4:22
  It's
• 4:23
  probably
• 4:23
  all
• 4:23
  you
• 4:23
  need
• 4:24
  to
• 4:24
  get
• 4:24
  enough
• 4:24
  heat
• 4:25
  up
• 4:25
  there
• 4:25
  to
• 4:25
  keep
• 4:25
  that
• 4:25
  above
• 4:26
  freezing.
• 4:27
  If
• 4:27
  your
• 4:27
  pipes
• 4:28
  are
• 4:28
  going
• 4:28
  through
• 4:28
  that
• 4:29
  attic
• 4:29
  space
• 4:29
  above
• 4:30
  your
• 4:30
  living
• 4:30
  area.
• 4:31
  So
• 4:32
  really
• 4:32
  we're
• 4:32
  just
• 4:32
  trying
• 4:32
  to
• 4:33
  do
• 4:33
  that.
• 4:33
  And
• 4:33
  at
• 4:33
  night,
• 4:33
  if
• 4:34
  you're
• 4:34
  getting
• 4:34
  below
• 4:34
  freezing,
• 4:35
  make
• 4:35
  sure
• 4:36
  on
• 4:36
  all
• 4:36
  the
• 4:36
  exterior
• 4:37
  walls,
• 4:37
  if
• 4:38
  you've
• 4:38
  got
• 4:38
  a
• 4:38
  bathroom
• 4:39
  or
• 4:39
  a
• 4:39
  laundry
• 4:40
  or
• 4:40
  a
• 4:41
  kitchen
• 4:41
  sink,
• 4:42
  just
• 4:42
  crank
• 4:43
  that
• 4:43
  water
• 4:43
  on
• 4:44
  just
• 4:44
  a
• 4:44
  little
• 4:45
  bit.
• 4:45
  That
• 4:46
  way
• 4:46
  you
• 4:46
  can
• 4:46
  keep
• 4:46
  the
• 4:47
  water
• 4:47
  moving
• 4:48
  and
• 4:48
  do
• 4:48
  everything
• 4:48
  with
• 4:49
  that
• 4:49
  and
• 4:49
  keep
• 4:49
  it
• 4:49
  going
• 4:50
  good.
• 4:50
  Now
• 4:50
  I
• 4:51
  talked
• 4:51
  about
• 4:51
  this
• 4:52
  in
• 4:52
  North
• 4:52
  Carol
• 4:54
  a
• 4:54
  couple
• 4:54
  days
• 4:54
  ago
• 4:55
  on
• 4:55
  their
• 4:55
  news,
• 4:55
  but
• 4:56
  really
• 4:56
  if
• 4:56
  you've
• 4:56
  got
• 4:57
  outdoor
• 4:57
  faucets
• 4:58
  with
• 4:58
  a
• 4:58
  hose
• 4:58
  hooked
• 4:58
  up
• 4:59
  to
• 4:59
  it,
• 4:59
  disconnect
• 5:00
  that.
• 5:01
  That
• 5:01
  should
• 5:01
  have
• 5:01
  been
• 5:01
  the
• 5:01
  first
• 5:02
  thing
• 5:02
  you
• 5:02
  did.
• 5:02
  When
• 5:02
  you
• 5:02
  see
• 5:02
  that
• 5:02
  you're
• 5:03
  getting
• 5:03
  towards
• 5:03
  freezing,
• 5:04
  disconnect
• 5:05
  that
• 5:05
  out
• 5:05
  there,
• 5:06
  unhook
• 5:07
  that
• 5:07
  hose
• 5:07
  and
• 5:08
  then
• 5:08
  make
• 5:08
  sure.
• 5:08
  If
• 5:09
  you've
• 5:09
  got
• 5:09
  an
• 5:10
  older
• 5:10
  house
• 5:10
  that
• 5:10
  doesn't
• 5:11
  have
• 5:11
  your
• 5:12
  traditional
• 5:12
  frost
• 5:13
  free
• 5:13
  hose
• 5:13
  bib
• 5:14
  outside,
• 5:14
  cover
• 5:15
  up
• 5:15
  those
• 5:15
  things.
• 5:16
  You
• 5:16
  know,
• 5:16
  if
• 5:16
  you
• 5:16
  don't
• 5:17
  have
• 5:17
  any
• 5:17
  of
• 5:17
  the
• 5:17
  covers,
• 5:18
  get
• 5:19
  out
• 5:19
  there
• 5:19
  with,
• 5:19
  you
• 5:20
  know,
• 5:20
  a
• 5:20
  sweatshirt,
• 5:20
  wrap
• 5:21
  it
• 5:21
  around
• 5:21
  there
• 5:22
  until
• 5:22
  you
• 5:22
  can
• 5:22
  get
• 5:23
  some
• 5:23
  covers
• 5:23
  that'll
• 5:24
  keep
• 5:24
  that
• 5:24
  from
• 5:24
  freezing.
• 5:25
  Now
• 5:25
  what
• 5:25
  happens
• 5:25
  if
• 5:26
  you've
• 5:26
  got
• 5:26
  a
• 5:26
  frozen
• 5:26
  pipe?
• 5:27
  You're
• 5:27
  like,
• 5:28
  I
• 5:28
  have
• 5:28
  no
• 5:28
  water
• 5:29
  coming
• 5:29
  out
• 5:29
  of
• 5:29
  here.
• 5:30
  Well,
• 5:30
  here's
• 5:30
  the
• 5:30
  thing.
• 5:31
  If
• 5:31
  that's
• 5:32
  copper
• 5:33
  CPVC,
• 5:34
  it's
• 5:35
  about
• 5:35
  a
• 5:35
  50,
• 5:35
  50
• 5:36
  chance
• 5:36
  that
• 5:37
  if
• 5:37
  you
• 5:37
  got
• 5:37
  a
• 5:37
  hard
• 5:37
  freeze,
• 5:38
  you've
• 5:38
  got
• 5:39
  a
• 5:39
  split
• 5:39
  pipe
• 5:40
  or
• 5:40
  a
• 5:40
  broken
• 5:40
  pipe
• 5:41
  someplace.
• 5:42
  Now
• 5:42
  you're
• 5:42
  not
• 5:42
  going
• 5:43
  to
• 5:43
  find
• 5:43
  it
• 5:44
  until
• 5:44
  that
• 5:45
  ends
• 5:45
  up,
• 5:46
  you
• 5:46
  know,
• 5:47
  unthawing
• 5:47
  and
• 5:48
  opening
• 5:48
  up
• 5:49
  and
• 5:49
  then
• 5:49
  you're
• 5:49
  going
• 5:49
  to
• 5:49
  have
• 5:49
  some
• 5:50
  repairs
• 5:50
  to
• 5:50
  be
• 5:50
  made.
• 5:51
  So
• 5:51
  if
• 5:52
  you
• 5:52
  think
• 5:52
  that
• 5:52
  you're
• 5:53
  like,
• 5:53
  hey,
• 5:53
  I've
• 5:54
  got
• 5:54
  broken
• 5:54
  pipes
• 5:55
  or
• 5:55
  I
• 5:56
  could
• 5:56
  have,
• 5:56
  I've
• 5:57
  got
• 5:57
  at
• 5:57
  least
• 5:57
  frozen.
• 5:58
  If
• 5:58
  you
• 5:58
  can
• 5:58
  turn
• 5:58
  the
• 5:58
  heat
• 5:58
  up
• 5:59
  in
• 5:59
  the
• 5:59
  house
• 6:00
  to
• 6:00
  see
• 6:00
  if
• 6:00
  you
• 6:00
  can
• 6:00
  keep
• 6:01
  that
• 6:01
  a
• 6:01
  little
• 6:01
  bit
• 6:02
  better
• 6:02
  and
• 6:02
  see
• 6:02
  if
• 6:02
  you
• 6:03
  can
• 6:03
  unthaw
• 6:03
  it,
• 6:04
  that's
• 6:04
  one
• 6:04
  thing.
• 6:05
  But
• 6:05
  if
• 6:05
  you
• 6:05
  got
• 6:05
  a
• 6:05
  hard
• 6:06
  freeze,
• 6:07
  I
• 6:07
  would
• 6:07
  make
• 6:07
  sure
• 6:08
  one,
• 6:08
  you
• 6:08
  know
• 6:08
  how
• 6:08
  to
• 6:08
  turn
• 6:09
  the
• 6:09
  water
• 6:09
  off
• 6:09
  at
• 6:09
  your
• 6:09
  house.
• 6:10
  Second
• 6:11
  of
• 6:11
  all,
• 6:11
  it
• 6:11
  might
• 6:11
  be
• 6:11
  smart
• 6:12
  just
• 6:12
  to
• 6:12
  turn
• 6:12
  it
• 6:12
  off.
• 6:13
  Especially
• 6:13
  where
• 6:13
  we're
• 6:14
  coming
• 6:14
  out
• 6:14
  of
• 6:14
  this
• 6:15
  in
• 6:15
  a
• 6:15
  day
• 6:15
  or
• 6:15
  two.
• 6:15
  Depending
• 6:16
  on
• 6:16
  your
• 6:16
  weather
• 6:16
  and
• 6:16
  where
• 6:17
  you're
• 6:17
  located,
• 6:18
  this
• 6:18
  could
• 6:18
  be
• 6:18
  the
• 6:19
  place
• 6:19
  that
• 6:19
  you
• 6:19
  want
• 6:19
  to
• 6:19
  turn
• 6:20
  the
• 6:20
  water
• 6:20
  off
• 6:21
  and
• 6:21
  go,
• 6:21
  okay,
• 6:21
  I'm
• 6:22
  going
• 6:22
  to
• 6:22
  stop
• 6:22
  the
• 6:22
  damage
• 6:23
  right
• 6:23
  now.
• 6:23
  We'll
• 6:24
  let
• 6:24
  this
• 6:24
  warm
• 6:24
  up
• 6:25
  and
• 6:25
  I'll
• 6:25
  get
• 6:26
  a
• 6:26
  plumber
• 6:26
  out
• 6:26
  there.
• 6:27
  Now
• 6:27
  the
• 6:27
  thing
• 6:27
  you
• 6:27
  can
• 6:27
  do
• 6:28
  too
• 6:29
  is
• 6:29
  learn
• 6:29
  how
• 6:30
  to
• 6:30
  do
• 6:31
  fixing
• 6:31
  broken
• 6:32
  pipes.
• 6:33
  Now
• 6:33
  if
• 6:33
  it's
• 6:34
  cpvc,
• 6:35
  yeah,
• 6:35
  that,
• 6:36
  that.
• 6:36
  I
• 6:36
  hate
• 6:36
  working
• 6:37
  with
• 6:37
  that
• 6:37
  stuff.
• 6:37
  I'd
• 6:38
  much
• 6:38
  rather
• 6:38
  work
• 6:38
  with
• 6:39
  copper.
• 6:39
  CPVC
• 6:40
  is
• 6:40
  that
• 6:41
  yellow
• 6:41
  PVC
• 6:42
  pipe
• 6:42
  that's
• 6:43
  rated
• 6:43
  for
• 6:43
  household
• 6:44
  use.
• 6:45
  Problem
• 6:45
  is
• 6:45
  it's
• 6:45
  brittle,
• 6:46
  it
• 6:46
  breaks,
• 6:46
  it
• 6:47
  splits.
• 6:47
  You
• 6:48
  could
• 6:48
  be
• 6:48
  doing
• 6:48
  a
• 6:48
  lot
• 6:49
  of
• 6:49
  work
• 6:49
  underneath
• 6:49
  there.
• 6:50
  Now,
• 6:50
  yes,
• 6:50
  you're
• 6:51
  going
• 6:51
  to
• 6:51
  cut
• 6:51
  it,
• 6:51
  prime
• 6:51
  it,
• 6:52
  glue
• 6:52
  it
• 6:52
  with
• 6:52
  the
• 6:53
  CPV
• 6:54
  cement
• 6:54
  and
• 6:54
  stuff
• 6:55
  like
• 6:55
  that.
• 6:56
  But
• 6:56
  man,
• 6:56
  once
• 6:56
  that
• 6:57
  stuff
• 6:57
  breaks,
• 6:58
  it
• 6:58
  shatters,
• 6:58
  it's
• 6:59
  like
• 6:59
  glass.
• 7:00
  So
• 7:00
  it's
• 7:00
  not
• 7:00
  my
• 7:00
  favorite.
• 7:01
  I
• 7:01
  would
• 7:01
  much
• 7:01
  rather
• 7:02
  have
• 7:02
  copper
• 7:02
  to
• 7:03
  get
• 7:03
  down
• 7:03
  there.
• 7:03
  Now
• 7:03
  if
• 7:04
  you're
• 7:04
  going
• 7:04
  to
• 7:04
  do
• 7:04
  a
• 7:04
  temp
• 7:05
  fix,
• 7:05
  those
• 7:05
  shark
• 7:05
  bite
• 7:06
  push
• 7:06
  to
• 7:06
  connect
• 7:07
  fittings
• 7:07
  work,
• 7:08
  but
• 7:08
  those
• 7:08
  are
• 7:08
  a
• 7:09
  temporary
• 7:09
  fix
• 7:10
  that'll
• 7:10
  get
• 7:10
  your
• 7:10
  water
• 7:11
  back
• 7:11
  on
• 7:11
  in
• 7:11
  the
• 7:11
  house.
• 7:12
  But
• 7:12
  you
• 7:12
  want
• 7:12
  to
• 7:12
  go
• 7:13
  back
• 7:13
  down
• 7:13
  there
• 7:13
  and
• 7:14
  sweat
• 7:14
  with
• 7:15
  a
• 7:15
  torch
• 7:15
  and
• 7:16
  get
• 7:16
  that
• 7:16
  going.
• 7:17
  So
• 7:17
  I've,
• 7:18
  I'll
• 7:18
  put
• 7:18
  a
• 7:18
  video
• 7:19
  up
• 7:19
  on
• 7:19
  our
• 7:19
  around
• 7:20
  the
• 7:20
  house
• 7:20
  online
• 7:21
  page
• 7:21
  so
• 7:22
  you
• 7:22
  can
• 7:22
  see
• 7:22
  how
• 7:22
  to
• 7:22
  do
• 7:22
  that.
• 7:23
  I've
• 7:23
  done
• 7:23
  some
• 7:23
  videos
• 7:24
  with
• 7:24
  that
• 7:24
  in
• 7:24
  the
• 7:24
  past.
• 7:25
  I'll
• 7:25
  put
• 7:25
  one
• 7:25
  up
• 7:26
  there
• 7:26
  for
• 7:26
  you
• 7:26
  so
• 7:27
  you
• 7:27
  know
• 7:27
  how
• 7:27
  to
• 7:27
  do
• 7:27
  it.
• 7:28
  And
• 7:28
  just
• 7:28
  be
• 7:28
  careful,
• 7:29
  you
• 7:29
  don't
• 7:29
  want
• 7:29
  that
• 7:30
  torch
• 7:30
  to
• 7:30
  light
• 7:30
  something
• 7:30
  on
• 7:31
  fire.
• 7:31
  Now
• 7:32
  one
• 7:32
  of
• 7:32
  the
• 7:32
  biggest
• 7:32
  mistakes
• 7:33
  you
• 7:33
  can
• 7:33
  do
• 7:33
  is
• 7:34
  putting
• 7:34
  big
• 7:34
  heaters
• 7:35
  under
• 7:35
  the
• 7:35
  house.
• 7:36
  And
• 7:36
  here's
• 7:36
  why
• 7:37
  you
• 7:38
  don't
• 7:38
  want
• 7:38
  to
• 7:38
  be
• 7:38
  in
• 7:38
  the
• 7:39
  house.
• 7:39
  When
• 7:40
  you're
• 7:40
  putting
• 7:40
  heaters
• 7:41
  under
• 7:41
  the
• 7:41
  house,
• 7:42
  especially
• 7:43
  when
• 7:43
  they're
• 7:44
  propane
• 7:45
  or
• 7:45
  their
• 7:46
  diesel
• 7:47
  or
• 7:47
  whatever,
• 7:48
  if
• 7:48
  they
• 7:48
  are
• 7:48
  consuming
• 7:50
  a
• 7:50
  fuel.
• 7:51
  I
• 7:51
  don't
• 7:51
  like
• 7:51
  putting
• 7:51
  those
• 7:52
  in
• 7:52
  enclosed
• 7:52
  spaces
• 7:53
  because
• 7:53
  that
• 7:53
  can
• 7:53
  put
• 7:53
  carbon
• 7:54
  monoxide
• 7:54
  up
• 7:55
  into
• 7:55
  the
• 7:55
  house.
• 7:56
  And
• 7:56
  that
• 7:56
  also
• 7:57
  can
• 7:57
  be
• 7:57
  a
• 7:57
  huge
• 7:57
  fire
• 7:57
  danger
• 7:58
  down
• 7:58
  below,
• 7:58
  too.
• 7:59
  So
• 7:59
  be
• 7:59
  very,
• 8:00
  very
• 8:00
  careful.
• 8:01
  You
• 8:02
  can
• 8:02
  create
• 8:02
  a
• 8:02
  space
• 8:02
  down
• 8:03
  there
• 8:03
  where
• 8:03
  you
• 8:03
  go
• 8:03
  down
• 8:03
  there
• 8:04
  and
• 8:04
  you
• 8:04
  make
• 8:04
  yourself
• 8:05
  sick
• 8:05
  or
• 8:05
  worse.
• 8:06
  So
• 8:06
  it's
• 8:06
  going
• 8:06
  to
• 8:07
  consume
• 8:07
  the
• 8:07
  oxygen.
• 8:08
  And
• 8:08
  second
• 8:09
  of
• 8:09
  all,
• 8:09
  here's
• 8:10
  the
• 8:10
  big
• 8:10
  one.
• 8:10
  It's
• 8:11
  going
• 8:11
  to
• 8:11
  put
• 8:11
  out
• 8:11
  carbon
• 8:11
  monoxide,
• 8:12
  which
• 8:12
  is
• 8:12
  deadly.
• 8:13
  So
• 8:13
  no
• 8:14
  heating
• 8:14
  with
• 8:15
  anything
• 8:15
  that
• 8:15
  combusts
• 8:16
  inside
• 8:16
  that's
• 8:16
  not
• 8:17
  venting
• 8:17
  it
• 8:17
  right
• 8:17
  outside,
• 8:18
  like
• 8:18
  your
• 8:18
  heating
• 8:18
  system.
• 8:19
  So
• 8:19
  be
• 8:20
  really
• 8:20
  careful.
• 8:21
  If
• 8:21
  you've
• 8:21
  got
• 8:22
  something
• 8:22
  that
• 8:22
  says,
• 8:22
  hey,
• 8:23
  you
• 8:23
  can
• 8:23
  use
• 8:23
  this,
• 8:23
  like
• 8:24
  some
• 8:24
  of
• 8:24
  the
• 8:24
  kerosene
• 8:24
  heaters
• 8:25
  that
• 8:25
  say
• 8:25
  it's
• 8:25
  rated
• 8:26
  for
• 8:26
  indoors,
• 8:27
  you
• 8:27
  still
• 8:27
  have
• 8:28
  to
• 8:28
  crack
• 8:28
  a
• 8:28
  window
• 8:29
  open
• 8:29
  to
• 8:30
  bring
• 8:30
  in
• 8:30
  oxygen,
• 8:31
  because
• 8:31
  it
• 8:31
  is
• 8:32
  consuming
• 8:32
  oxygen
• 8:33
  and
• 8:33
  fuel
• 8:34
  in
• 8:34
  the
• 8:34
  space,
• 8:35
  and
• 8:35
  it
• 8:35
  still
• 8:35
  does
• 8:35
  give
• 8:36
  off
• 8:36
  a
• 8:36
  little
• 8:37
  bit
• 8:37
  of
• 8:37
  carbon
• 8:38
  monoxide.
• 8:39
  So
• 8:39
  crack
• 8:39
  a
• 8:40
  window,
• 8:40
  turn
• 8:40
  on
• 8:40
  a
• 8:40
  bath
• 8:40
  fan,
• 8:41
  do
• 8:41
  something
• 8:41
  like
• 8:41
  that.
• 8:42
  So
• 8:42
  at
• 8:42
  least
• 8:43
  you're
• 8:43
  getting
• 8:43
  some
• 8:43
  fresh
• 8:44
  air
• 8:44
  in
• 8:44
  there.
• 8:45
  That's
• 8:45
  a
• 8:45
  big
• 8:45
  one
• 8:45
  right
• 8:46
  there.
• 8:46
  So
• 8:47
  just
• 8:47
  be
• 8:47
  very
• 8:47
  careful,
• 8:48
  guys
• 8:48
  out
• 8:48
  there
• 8:49
  when
• 8:49
  you're
• 8:49
  talking
• 8:50
  about
• 8:51
  winterizing
• 8:51
  that
• 8:51
  house
• 8:52
  when
• 8:52
  you're
• 8:52
  in
• 8:52
  the
• 8:52
  middle
• 8:52
  of
• 8:52
  a
• 8:53
  storm
• 8:53
  like
• 8:53
  this,
• 8:54
  and
• 8:54
  try
• 8:54
  to
• 8:54
  keep
• 8:55
  it
• 8:55
  as
• 8:55
  warm
• 8:55
  as
• 8:55
  you
• 8:55
  can
• 8:56
  and
• 8:57
  keep
• 8:57
  the
• 8:57
  heat
• 8:57
  up
• 8:57
  to
• 8:58
  keep
• 8:58
  things
• 8:58
  from
• 8:58
  freezing.
• 8:59
  And
• 8:59
  then
• 9:00
  pay
• 9:00
  attention
• 9:01
  to
• 9:01
  what
• 9:02
  is
• 9:02
  going
• 9:02
  on,
• 9:03
  because
• 9:03
  if
• 9:03
  it
• 9:03
  happens
• 9:04
  this
• 9:04
  year,
• 9:05
  could
• 9:05
  happen
• 9:05
  next
• 9:05
  year.
• 9:06
  So
• 9:06
  maybe
• 9:07
  this
• 9:07
  summer
• 9:07
  or
• 9:07
  this
• 9:08
  spring
• 9:08
  when
• 9:08
  the
• 9:08
  weather's
• 9:09
  a
• 9:09
  little
• 9:09
  bit
• 9:09
  better.
• 9:10
  You've
• 9:10
  got
• 9:10
  some
• 9:10
  projects
• 9:11
  to
• 9:11
  do
• 9:11
  around
• 9:11
  there
• 9:11
  to
• 9:12
  make
• 9:12
  sure
• 9:12
  that
• 9:12
  you're
• 9:12
  prepared
• 9:13
  for
• 9:13
  the
• 9:13
  next
• 9:13
  one,
• 9:14
  because
• 9:14
  it's
• 9:15
  really
• 9:15
  strange
• 9:15
  you
• 9:16
  guys
• 9:16
  down
• 9:16
  there
• 9:17
  are
• 9:17
  having
• 9:18
  the
• 9:18
  winter
• 9:19
  of
• 9:19
  a
• 9:19
  lifetime.
• 9:20
  I'm
• 9:21
  up
• 9:21
  here
• 9:21
  in
• 9:21
  the
• 9:21
  Pacific
• 9:21
  Northwest,
• 9:22
  where
• 9:22
  we
• 9:23
  usually
• 9:23
  have
• 9:23
  this
• 9:23
  stuff
• 9:23
  all
• 9:24
  the
• 9:24
  time.
• 9:25
  I
• 9:25
  haven't
• 9:25
  had
• 9:26
  really
• 9:26
  one
• 9:26
  flake
• 9:27
  of
• 9:27
  snow
• 9:27
  hit
• 9:27
  the
• 9:27
  ground
• 9:27
  and
• 9:28
  stay
• 9:28
  here.
• 9:28
  And
• 9:29
  if
• 9:29
  anything,
• 9:30
  it's
• 9:30
  probably
• 9:30
  one
• 9:31
  of
• 9:31
  our
• 9:31
  driest
• 9:32
  January's
• 9:32
  on
• 9:33
  record.
• 9:33
  So
• 9:33
  the
• 9:34
  whole
• 9:34
  west
• 9:34
  coast
• 9:34
  is
• 9:34
  dealing
• 9:35
  with
• 9:35
  that.
• 9:35
  Hopefully
• 9:35
  we'll
• 9:36
  get
• 9:36
  some
• 9:36
  precipitation
• 9:37
  here
• 9:37
  soon
• 9:37
  so
• 9:38
  we
• 9:38
  can
• 9:38
  get
• 9:39
  California
• 9:39
  out
• 9:40
  of
• 9:40
  this
• 9:40
  wildfire
• 9:40
  situation
• 9:41
  and
• 9:42
  the
• 9:42
  rest
• 9:42
  of
• 9:42
  us
• 9:42
  from
• 9:42
  sliding
• 9:43
  into
• 9:43
  that
• 9:43
  same
• 9:43
  one
• 9:44
  because
• 9:44
  it
• 9:45
  has
• 9:45
  been
• 9:45
  dry.
• 9:46
  So
• 9:46
  hopefully
• 9:46
  we
• 9:47
  can
• 9:47
  get
• 9:47
  that
• 9:47
  dialed
• 9:48
  in.
• 9:48
  All
• 9:49
  right,
• 9:49
  everybody,
• 9:49
  if
• 9:49
  you
• 9:49
  want
• 9:49
  to
• 9:49
  find
• 9:50
  out
• 9:50
  more
• 9:50
  about
• 9:50
  us,
• 9:50
  head
• 9:51
  over
• 9:51
  to
• 9:51
  aroundthehouse
• 9:52
  online.com
• 9:53
  and
• 9:53
  all
• 9:53
  you
• 9:53
  podcast
• 9:54
  listeners
• 9:54
  for
• 9:55
  just
• 9:55
  $4
• 9:55
  a
• 9:56
  month,
• 9:56
  you
• 9:57
  can
• 9:57
  sit
• 9:57
  here
• 9:58
  and
• 9:58
  get
• 9:58
  all
• 9:58
  of
• 9:59
  our
• 9:59
  shows
• 9:59
  commercial
• 10:00
  free.
• 10:00
  And
• 10:00
  then
• 10:00
  you
• 10:01
  have
• 10:01
  access
• 10:01
  to
• 10:01
  the
• 10:01
  back
• 10:02
  catalog
• 10:03
  as
• 10:03
  well.
• 10:04
  Now,
• 10:04
  this
• 10:04
  is
• 10:04
  a
• 10:05
  big
• 10:05
  one.
• 10:05
  You
• 10:06
  get
• 10:06
  the
• 10:06
  show
• 10:06
  two
• 10:06
  days
• 10:07
  early.
• 10:07
  So
• 10:08
  you
• 10:08
  would
• 10:08
  get
• 10:08
  it
• 10:09
  Thursday
• 10:09
  at
• 10:09
  the
• 10:10
  regular
• 10:10
  release
• 10:10
  time
• 10:11
  instead
• 10:11
  of
• 10:11
  Saturday.
• 10:12
  So
• 10:13
  you
• 10:13
  can
• 10:13
  hear
• 10:13
  it
• 10:13
  early
• 10:14
  right
• 10:14
  there.
• 10:14
  And
• 10:15
  who
• 10:15
  doesn't
• 10:15
  like
• 10:15
  commercial
• 10:16
  free?
• 10:16
  All
• 10:16
  right,
• 10:16
  everybody,
• 10:17
  I'm
• 10:18
  Eric
• 10:18
  G.
• 10:18
  Thanks
• 10:18
  for
• 10:19
  tuning
• 10:19
  into
• 10:19
  around
• 10:19
  the
• 10:20
  House.
• 10:20
  Stay
• 10:20
  safe
• 10:20
  out
• 10:21
  there.
• 10:21
  Keep
• 10:22
  your
• 10:22
  head
• 10:22
  up.
• 10:23
  It's
• 10:23
  gonna
• 10:23
  be
• 10:23
  a
• 10:24
  great
• 10:24
  weekend
• 10:24
  coming
• 10:25
  up.
• 10:25
  Let's
• 10:25
  enjoy
• 10:26
  it.
• 10:26
  We'll
• 10:27

• 10:27
  you
• 10:27

• 10:34
  Take
• 10:34

• 10:35
  hands
• 10:35
  out?
• 10:35
  Nowhere
• 10:36
  to
• 10:36
  go?
• 10:38
  All
• 10:38

• 10:39
  the
• 10:39
