- 0:08Speaker 1: Gable Advice, La La. Welcome to the Naughty but Nice Show.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rob Shooter, and it is Monday, the
- 0:21Speaker 1: start of an exciting new week I hope for everybody. Hey,
- 0:25Speaker 1: thank you so much for all the lovely feedback and
- 0:28Speaker 1: comments I've been getting from our weekend special podcast. Each
- 0:33Speaker 1: weekend now or most weekends since the beginning of the year,
- 0:37Speaker 1: I've been trying to do this really short, ten maybe
- 0:41Speaker 1: fifteen minute podcast when we talk about and stuff that
- 0:44Speaker 1: isn't celebrity related but rather related to you. So, as
- 0:49Speaker 1: some of you know, as well as being a GUSSIP
- 0:51Speaker 1: columnist and entertainment reporter, I'm also a best selling author
- 0:57Speaker 1: of The Forward Answer. So on the weekends we've been
- 1:00Speaker 1: pulling chapters, paragraphs out of the book and bringing them
- 1:04Speaker 1: to life on a special podcast. We talk a lot
- 1:08Speaker 1: on the show about doing the work. You never know
- 1:12Speaker 1: who's going to be listening. I never knew who was
- 1:14Speaker 1: going to be listening when I started doing these special
- 1:17Speaker 1: editions of The Naughty Button Night Show, but now I
- 1:21Speaker 1: can report people do listen. The numbers are terrific and
- 1:25Speaker 1: I got a call from the folks over a Good
- 1:27Speaker 1: Morning America asking if I'd like to go on their
- 1:31Speaker 1: show today today and talk about the book, talk about
- 1:36Speaker 1: some of the four words. And so today if you
- 1:39Speaker 1: turn on Good Morning America three, you will see your
- 1:43Speaker 1: friend Rav Shooter. I'm a lucky guy, but I also
- 1:49Speaker 1: do the work. If you do the work, I promise you.
- 1:52Speaker 1: I promise you, people will show up. It's that amazing
- 1:56Speaker 1: line in Field of Dreams. If you build it, they
- 2:02Speaker 1: will come. Hey, let's jump into today's show. What time
- 2:06Speaker 1: is it, my friends? It is tea time. So Chris
- 2:10Speaker 1: Rock is really really ripping into Will Smith, Megan Markle,
- 2:14Speaker 1: and many other people things on his new Live Netfleet show.
- 2:20Speaker 1: It's called selective outrage, which is something that he accuses
- 2:25Speaker 1: Will of doing, and he finally speaks out about that
- 2:29Speaker 1: infamous twenty twenty two Oscar slap. He said the following quote,
- 2:35Speaker 1: everybody called the man a b I tch. He's talking
- 2:39Speaker 1: here about Will Smith, and a lot of people in
- 2:41Speaker 1: Hollywood did call Will that term really to put him down,
- 2:46Speaker 1: and Chris went on to say that this was primarily
- 2:49Speaker 1: because of his marriage with Jada Pinkett Smith. That your
- 2:56Speaker 1: wife cheated on you and who got hit me? That
- 3:01Speaker 1: is some bad shi He jumps of the physical pain
- 3:05Speaker 1: in the physical pain and said it still hurts, and
- 3:08Speaker 1: I got summertime ringing in my ear. However, he refuses
- 3:13Speaker 1: to give in to the cultural phenomenon that he finds
- 3:18Speaker 1: perplexing of victim hood. He said, quote, right now, we
- 3:24Speaker 1: live in a world where the emergency room is filled
- 3:28Speaker 1: with blank blanks, with paper cuts. He went on to say,
- 3:31Speaker 1: you'll never see me on Oprah or Gail crying. You're
- 3:35Speaker 1: never going to see it. It's not going to happen.
- 3:38Speaker 1: He said. I couldn't believe it when Will hit him,
- 3:40Speaker 1: he said, I loved men in black and now I'm
- 3:43Speaker 1: getting hit like a boxer. While Rock devoted the last
- 3:48Speaker 1: ten minutes, the final ten minutes to the Smith scandal.
- 3:51Speaker 1: The first hour of the show, it's about an hour
- 3:53Speaker 1: and a half in total. The first hour of the
- 3:56Speaker 1: show touched on some really touchy topics such as woke
- 4:00Speaker 1: nurse and Meghan Markle. He said, it's the royal family.
- 4:04Speaker 1: You didn't google those mother, You know what what the
- 4:07Speaker 1: f is she talking about? She didn't know that it
- 4:10Speaker 1: was racist. He went on to say, it's like marrying
- 4:13Speaker 1: into the Budweiser family and going they drink a lot,
- 4:17Speaker 1: so he had a lot to say about Meghan Markle
- 4:19Speaker 1: as well as Will Smith. He said that as for
- 4:23Speaker 1: the allegations about a particular member of the royal family
- 4:26Speaker 1: inquiring about the baby's skin color, he said, quote, that's
- 4:31Speaker 1: not racist, because even black folks want to know how
- 4:35Speaker 1: brown the baby is going to be. Now, some of
- 4:39Speaker 1: his most vicious material targeted what he called selective outrage
- 4:45Speaker 1: and society, his tendency to pick and choose whom it
- 4:48Speaker 1: can be canceled. He said, quote, one person does something,
- 4:52Speaker 1: they get canceled. Another person does the same thing and nothing.
- 4:56Speaker 1: He's enraged by the kind of people who play Michael
- 4:59Speaker 1: Jackson songs but won't play r Kelly, saying it's the
- 5:03Speaker 1: same crime, except one of them had better songs. He's
- 5:07Speaker 1: also fed up with the corporate brands out there taking
- 5:10Speaker 1: a stance on major political issues, which he claims is
- 5:14Speaker 1: the score a point. He said that he saw a
- 5:16Speaker 1: sign recently when he was in Lululemon decrying racism and hatred, saying, quote,
- 5:23Speaker 1: who gives an f You're just selling yoga pants. So
- 5:27Speaker 1: this went on for about an hour and a half.
- 5:28Speaker 1: He did ultimately claim, though, that Jada Pinkett Smith was
- 5:32Speaker 1: the one that started all this, adding quote, everyone knows.
- 5:37Speaker 1: I have nothing to do with this. Shi. For people
- 5:41Speaker 1: that don't know, everyone knows his wife was effing her
- 5:45Speaker 1: son's friend. Now, I wouldn't normally talk about this, he
- 5:49Speaker 1: went on to say, but for some reason those who
- 5:52Speaker 1: have put me all out on the internet. I have
- 5:54Speaker 1: no idea why two talented people would do something as
- 5:57Speaker 1: effing low down. So, just to recap, he did go
- 6:02Speaker 1: after Mega marcle. He did talk about the royal family,
- 6:04Speaker 1: but most of his fire. Most of his fire was
- 6:07Speaker 1: about Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith. He called Will
- 6:11Speaker 1: a b I tch over and over and over. I
- 6:14Speaker 1: want to know what you think about this. Chris Rock
- 6:17Speaker 1: has questioned the belief that Meghan was the victim of
- 6:20Speaker 1: racism and brushed off her experiences by saying this is
- 6:24Speaker 1: merely in law Shi. T is he right? Was Meghan
- 6:30Speaker 1: just having drama with her in laws who happened to
- 6:32Speaker 1: be the royals? Hey? What do you think? Go vote
- 6:34Speaker 1: on our Twitter page at Naughty Nice Robber. Facebook page
- 6:37Speaker 1: is Naughty Gossip and be sure to check back to
- 6:40Speaker 1: morrow to hear your results. Hey, maybe along over the
- 6:44Speaker 1: weekend to Harry did a huge interview Prince Harry, and
- 6:48Speaker 1: he said he always felt different from everybody in his
- 6:51Speaker 1: family and said, I know my mom felt the same.
- 6:54Speaker 1: So Harry participated in a virtual book event over the
- 6:58Speaker 1: weekend with doctor A Boor and expert in trauma, stress
- 7:02Speaker 1: and childhood development who's actually quite controversial for some comments
- 7:07Speaker 1: he's made about Israel. These two were seated across each
- 7:10Speaker 1: other before a crackling fireplace he looks very very mister
- 7:14Speaker 1: Rogers and discussed living with loss and the importance of
- 7:19Speaker 1: personal healing. Harry brought up how he related to his mother,
- 7:23Speaker 1: Princess Diana, over feelings of not fitting in with the
- 7:27Speaker 1: rest of the royal family. He said, certainly throughout my life,
- 7:31Speaker 1: throughout my younger years, I always felt slightly different to
- 7:35Speaker 1: the rest of the family. He said, I felt strange
- 7:38Speaker 1: being in this container, meaning the Royal family, and I
- 7:41Speaker 1: know that my mum felt the same. I felt as
- 7:43Speaker 1: though my body was in there, but my head was out.
- 7:46Speaker 1: But sometimes vice versa. The times that I ventured towards
- 7:50Speaker 1: being my authentic true self, whether it was through the
- 7:54Speaker 1: media or the family or whatever it was, it was
- 7:57Speaker 1: almost like I said, quote, don't be your self, come
- 8:01Speaker 1: back to who they're expecting you to be out. Harry
- 8:04Speaker 1: also said that writing his Book's Spare was a release
- 8:08Speaker 1: and stressed why it was important for him to be
- 8:11Speaker 1: honest about his life story. He said, when I turned
- 8:14Speaker 1: around to the people that were helping me write the book,
- 8:17Speaker 1: I said, I want this to be an act of service.
- 8:20Speaker 1: It needs to be, because you're almost given permission for
- 8:24Speaker 1: people to talk about their own stuff. And I would
- 8:27Speaker 1: say even more so within my family, because of the
- 8:30Speaker 1: expectations and because of how you're cast as individuals. He
- 8:36Speaker 1: went on to talk about therapy a lot, and he said,
- 8:38Speaker 1: a lot of families are complicated, that's true. A lot
- 8:41Speaker 1: of them are dysfunctional. That's true too. But for me,
- 8:44Speaker 1: when I was doing therapy regularly, I felt like I
- 8:48Speaker 1: was learning a new language, a language other people in
- 8:51Speaker 1: his family did not speak. Explosive allegations again from Harry. Now,
- 8:58Speaker 1: they have just received an invitation to the coronations. Sources
- 9:01Speaker 1: tell me the invitations did go out and Harry and
- 9:04Speaker 1: Megan are both invited. Let's see what's gonna happen. I
- 9:08Speaker 1: don't think they're gonna go Hey, moving along, shocking news.
- 9:11Speaker 1: We sort of knew about this and spoke about it
- 9:13Speaker 1: a couple of weeks ago, but now it's been confirmed.
- 9:16Speaker 1: Rachel Ray's daytime show is going to end after seventeen seasons. Wow.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Nationally syndicated daytime talk show Rachel Ray will be coming
- 9:26Speaker 1: to an end after its current seventeenth seventeenth congratulations season.
- 9:32Speaker 1: Rachel said in a statement quote, in my more than
- 9:35Speaker 1: twenty plus years in TV, I've had seventeen wonderful seasons
- 9:40Speaker 1: working in daytime television with Rachel. However, I've made the
- 9:45Speaker 1: decision that it's time for me to move on to
- 9:48Speaker 1: the next exciting chapter in my broadcast career. I do
- 9:52Speaker 1: believe that Rachel's excited about moving on, but I don't
- 9:55Speaker 1: believe she necessarily was the one that pulled the trigger.
- 9:59Speaker 1: So to the landscape has been changing dramatically in daytime
- 10:04Speaker 1: TV with lost Doctor Phil, Judge Matthews. The People's Cord
- 10:09Speaker 1: is also set to wrap up after this season. Also
- 10:12Speaker 1: to the Ellen DeGeneres Show is gone, the Wendy Williams Show, Morey,
- 10:16Speaker 1: Doctor Oz, and also The Real Ended to some massive
- 10:19Speaker 1: changes in TV. I've got to be honest here. The
- 10:22Speaker 1: Rachel Ray show means a lot to me, not necessarily
- 10:25Speaker 1: because I was a dedicated viewer. I enjoyed it, but
- 10:27Speaker 1: I didn't watch it every day. But Rachel was one
- 10:30Speaker 1: of the first shows that made me a correspondent. I
- 10:32Speaker 1: went on once a month, twice a month and did
- 10:35Speaker 1: celebrity gossip is called chat and chew, where I who
- 10:39Speaker 1: would chat and if she liked the gossip should give
- 10:41Speaker 1: me some food. That was the chew. So we do
- 10:43Speaker 1: lots of royal stuff. It was quite tricky because the
- 10:46Speaker 1: Rachel's show takes about two three weeks before it actually airs,
- 10:50Speaker 1: and gossip that's really dangerous. So I had to find
- 10:54Speaker 1: stuff that a remained truthful in two weeks and b
- 10:58Speaker 1: was not outdated. So we had a lot of Royal news,
- 11:01Speaker 1: although now Royal News it moves quicker than Taylor Swift News.
- 11:05Speaker 1: So I'll always be grateful to Rachel Ray for honestly
- 11:08Speaker 1: being one of the first people that really gave me
- 11:11Speaker 1: a chance. And it was because of the Rachel Ray
- 11:13Speaker 1: Show that I got my own show, my own morning
- 11:16Speaker 1: show on VH one. A producer at Rachel Ray really
- 11:20Speaker 1: enjoyed what I did and offered me a chance to
- 11:23Speaker 1: join him at VH one and create our own show.
- 11:26Speaker 1: What a thrill of a lifetime. Thank you, Thank you,
- 11:29Speaker 1: Rachel Hey quickly before we get a break. Pam Anderson
- 11:34Speaker 1: is saying she was painfully shy before posing for Playboy.
- 11:38Speaker 1: She said it took becoming a centerfield for her to
- 11:43Speaker 1: come out of her sheller. Pam said that posing for
- 11:46Speaker 1: Playboy for the first time she's done it a few
- 11:48Speaker 1: times in nineteen eighty nine was quote my first feeling
- 11:53Speaker 1: of freedom. Oh. As a young girl, Pam said she
- 11:58Speaker 1: was painfully shy. The shyness that was so severe it
- 12:02Speaker 1: was debilitating. She said she would wear a hat cover
- 12:06Speaker 1: her head and wear baggy clothes and nobody could see her.
- 12:09Speaker 1: She said, I hated the way I looked. I hated everything.
- 12:12Speaker 1: I was so shy. I always thought everyone else was pretty,
- 12:16Speaker 1: but I had no self confidence, none at all. And
- 12:19Speaker 1: then she went on to say she almost didn't do
- 12:23Speaker 1: the glossy magazine Playboy in nineteen eighty nine. Hugh approached
- 12:28Speaker 1: her and she was in Vancouver, and when she was
- 12:31Speaker 1: approached by Hugh Hefner, she said no. And then finally
- 12:35Speaker 1: she thought about it and was like, why not let
- 12:37Speaker 1: me try this? She did confess that when she went
- 12:40Speaker 1: to La to shoot it, she was terrified. She concluded
- 12:44Speaker 1: there by saying, it was the first flash when I
- 12:48Speaker 1: opened my eyes and I could feel I was falling
- 12:52Speaker 1: off a cliff. She went on to say that this
- 12:55Speaker 1: was her first feeling of freedom and then said quote,
- 13:00Speaker 1: then I was off to the races. Yes you were, Pam. Ah.
- 13:05Speaker 1: I used to be shy as a little boy. I
- 13:07Speaker 1: had a stutter when I was little, and so for
- 13:09Speaker 1: a long time I was painfully shy, like Pam. I
- 13:12Speaker 1: know that's hard to believe now, I'm such a silly goose,
- 13:15Speaker 1: but when I was little, I was quite quite shy,
- 13:17Speaker 1: painfully shy. I used to hide behind my mom's legs.
- 13:20Speaker 1: And my first taste the freedom was I joined an
- 13:25Speaker 1: amateur dramatics group within my school. They put on a play.
- 13:29Speaker 1: They put on Clamity Jane Doris Days movie, and it
- 13:34Speaker 1: really taught me how to brush away some of my shyness.
- 13:38Speaker 1: It's amazing, isn't it? For Pam it was photoshoots. For me,
- 13:41Speaker 1: it was a play. What was it for you? Hey,
- 13:43Speaker 1: We're going to take a quick break and we will
- 13:45Speaker 1: be right back. Welcome back, My naughty book show, I'm
- 13:49Speaker 1: robbed shooter Hay, Let's get to the polls Lasher. He
- 13:53Speaker 1: talked about the way that the Sussex Is found out
- 13:57Speaker 1: about their eviction from Frogmore Cottage was via let us
- 14:01Speaker 1: an email out. Should somebody have picked up the phone?
- 14:06Speaker 1: That was our question, Should somebody have picked up the phone?
- 14:09Speaker 1: Let's have a look any five percent? He said, yes,
- 14:12Speaker 1: Charles should have called them. I don't think you're so
- 14:15Speaker 1: angry that they're losing the cottage, but the way it
- 14:17Speaker 1: went down was nessy, messy, messy. Don't get to vote
- 14:21Speaker 1: on today's pole. Go at Twitter page and naughty nice
- 14:24Speaker 1: rob or a Facebook page which is naughty gissip and
- 14:27Speaker 1: be sure to check back tomorrow to hear your results.
- 14:30Speaker 1: And now it's time for our nicey stuff and the
- 14:34Speaker 1: dang Jake Gillenhall is showing off he's new totally fit
- 14:38Speaker 1: for Zeke while filming scenes for his new movie, So
- 14:42Speaker 1: Jake Is Ready for a Fight. The actor forty two
- 14:46Speaker 1: appeared on stage at a recent UFC event in Las Vegas,
- 14:50Speaker 1: where he showed off his some amazing new fit for
- 14:53Speaker 1: Zique for the film that he's working on. It's a
- 14:55Speaker 1: remake of the Patrick Sweezy movie Rhoade has. He looks
- 15:00Speaker 1: incredible in these photographs, in these videos good and naughty
- 15:05Speaker 1: Gossip dot Com. You won't you won't recognize him. He's
- 15:08Speaker 1: totally ripped, totally cut up and nicest of the day.
- 15:12Speaker 1: And now I naughtice the day, naughty, naughty. Rebel Wilson
- 15:16Speaker 1: is talking about meeting Meghan Markos, saying quode she's not
- 15:20Speaker 1: naturally warm out so Rebel did not get a warm
- 15:25Speaker 1: reception from Meghan Marko when she first met the Duchess
- 15:29Speaker 1: of Sussex. She went on to tell Andy Cohen that
- 15:32Speaker 1: Meghan Marko was not as cool as Harry and she
- 15:34Speaker 1: wasn't as naturally warm. Wilson noticed that Markle's standoff ish
- 15:40Speaker 1: behavior could have been due to the fact that her
- 15:43Speaker 1: mom Suer was slightly rude of some of her questions,
- 15:47Speaker 1: asking Megan, where are your children? Don't if that's rude.
- 15:52Speaker 1: Rebel went up to say that the meeting took place
- 15:55Speaker 1: in Santa Barbara, very fancy, and by contrast, Harry couldn't
- 16:00Speaker 1: have been nicer. She said quote maybe that's why she
- 16:04Speaker 1: was like, who are these annoying convicts from Australia, she
- 16:09Speaker 1: joked before reiterating that Harry was quote lovely. I don't
- 16:16Speaker 1: know if she's stand offish. I think that they've just
- 16:18Speaker 1: both been through so much. Can you imagine being that
- 16:23Speaker 1: famous that much in the public eye. I met her
- 16:26Speaker 1: many many years ago before she was the Dirchess of Sussex,
- 16:29Speaker 1: and she was the opposite of cold. She was really
- 16:31Speaker 1: really warm, big smile, lots of hugs. So maybe maybe
- 16:35Speaker 1: Rebel just got around the wrong day. Hey, let's end
- 16:38Speaker 1: with a moment of Robbie Robiet Robbie rob But envy
- 16:41Speaker 1: and jealousy are an indication that you have not yet
- 16:44Speaker 1: fully accepted yourself. Jealousy isn't about anybody else, It's about you.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It's about those dreams that are deep down inside you
- 16:55Speaker 1: that have never been realized. Jealousy and envy it's a
- 16:59Speaker 1: cry for attention from the passions that want to be fulfilled.
- 17:04Speaker 1: And so we must stop thinking about envy and jealousy
- 17:08Speaker 1: as a bad thing. No, they're a good thing. They're
- 17:12Speaker 1: a lighthouse pointing you in the direction of what will
- 17:16Speaker 1: make you happy. The next time you feel envious, the
- 17:19Speaker 1: next time you feel jealous of somebody, think about what
- 17:22Speaker 1: they have that you want ting not a bad thing,
- 17:26Speaker 1: a good thing to know. That is it for today.
- 17:29Speaker 1: Thank you so much for listening to the Naughty but
- 17:31Speaker 1: Nice with Rob Show, a production of iHeartRadio. Don't forget
- 17:34Speaker 1: to subscribe on the iHeartRadio app, Apple podcast. Wherever you listen,
- 17:38Speaker 1: leave us a review if you can. They really do
- 17:40Speaker 1: help and remember all together and please help me sing along.
- 17:43Speaker 1: If you're going to Minosy, you've got to be nice.
- 17:49Speaker 1: It's not even nice with Ra
