April 27 - A Life Offered to God · Bible Chat Devotional

• 0:02
Welcome to Bible chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in scripture and relevant for today, April 27th.
• 0:11
Words that build, not break Words can change the atmosphere
• 0:15
of a room 1 harsh sentence can stir up anger, but one gentle
• 0:20
answer can bring peace where conflict was about to grow.
• 0:24
Proverbs chapter 15 verses one to two says a soft answer turns
• 0:28
away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
• 0:31
It also reminds us that wise words carry knowledge while
• 0:35
foolish mouths pour out folly. Romans chapter 12, verses 9 to
• 0:39
10 says Let love be genuine and outdo one another in showing
• 0:44
honor. That is a different way to live.
• 0:47
Instead of trying to win every argument, prove every point, or
• 0:51
get the last word, God calls us to honor others.
• 0:54
Real love shows up in how we speak, especially when we are
• 0:57
  frustrated. This matters in family
• 1:01
  conversations, friendships, classrooms, workplaces, and
• 1:04
group chats. It matters when someone annoys
• 1:07
you. It matters when you feel
• 1:08
misunderstood. It matters when sarcasm would be
• 1:12
easy and kindness would take effort.
• 1:14
Your words are not small. They either build trust or break
• 1:18
it down. Choosing a soft answer does not
• 1:20
mean you are weak. It means you are strong enough
• 1:23
not to be controlled by anger. It means you are wise enough to
• 1:27
care about the outcome, not just the moment.
• 1:31
It means you are letting God shape your tongue and your
• 1:33
  heart. Today.
• 1:34
Ask God to slow your words down before you speak, post, or text.
• 1:39
Ask whether your words reflect love and honor.
• 1:42
You may not control how others speak, but you can choose the
• 1:45
kind of voice you will be. Let your words become a place
• 1:48
where grace can be heard. Let's pray.
• 1:52
Heavenly Father, thank you for reminding me that my words
• 1:54
matter. Help me speak with wisdom,
• 1:57
gentleness, and love. When anger rises, teach me to
• 2:00
pause before I respond. Let my words build others up.
• 2:04
Bring peace and reflect the heart of Jesus in Jesus name,
• 2:08
Amen. What if you could rise up and
• 2:12
declare with full spiritual authority, I shall not die, but
• 2:16
live? Death Defeated is a powerful

Proverbs chapter 15 verses one to two World English Bible A
• 3:20
gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
• 3:25
The tongue of the wise commends knowledge, but the mouths of
• 3:27
fools gush out folly. Romans Chapter 12 World English
• 3:31
Bible Therefore I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God,
• 3:36
to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to
• 3:40
God, which is your spiritual service.
• 3:43
Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the
• 3:47
renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good,
• 3:50
well, pleasing and perfect will of God.
• 3:53
For I say through the grace that was given me to everyone who is
• 3:57
among you, not to think of yourself more highly than you
• 4:00
ought to think, but to think reasonably, as God has a portion
• 4:04
to each person, a measure of faith.
• 4:07
For even as we have many members in one body, and all the members
• 4:11
don't have the same function, so we who are many are one body in
• 4:15
Christ, and individually members of one another, having gifts
• 4:20
differing according to the grace that was given to us.
• 4:23
If prophecy, let's prophecy according to the proportion of
• 4:26
our faith or service, let's give ourselves to service.
• 4:31
Or he who teaches to his teaching, Or he who exhorts to
• 4:34
his exhorting. He who gives, let him do it with
• 4:36
generosity. He who rules with diligence, He
• 4:40
who shows mercy with cheerfulness, Let love be
• 4:43
without hypocrisy. Abhor that which is evil, Cling
• 4:47
to that which is good in love of the brothers.
• 4:50
Be tenderly affectionate to one another in honor.
• 4:53
Prefer one another, not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit,
• 4:57
serving the Lord, rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles,
• 5:01
continuing steadfastly in prayer, contributing to the
• 5:04
needs of the Saints, and given to hospitality.
• 5:08
Bless those who persecute you. Bless and don't curse.
• 5:11
Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep.
• 5:15
Be of the same mind, one toward another.
• 5:18
Don't set your mind on high things, but associate with the
• 5:21
humble. Don't be wise in your own
• 5:23
conceits. Repay no one evil for evil.
• 5:26
Respect what is honorable in the sight of all men.
• 5:29
If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with
• 5:33
all men. Don't seek revenge yourselves,
• 5:35
beloved, but give place to God's wrath, for it is written,
• 5:39
vengeance belongs to me. I will repay, says the Lord.
• 5:42
Therefore, if your enemy is hungry, feed him.
• 5:46
If he is thirsty, give him a drink, for in doing so you will
• 5:49
heap coals of fire on his head. Don't be overcome by evil, but
• 5:53
overcome evil with good. Thanks for joining us on Bible
