- 0:01Speaker 1: Laura from the Skying You Center.
- 0:04Speaker 2: This is the Kenny Report. Thanks Kieran Gilbert. Welcome to
- 0:12Speaker 2: the Kenny Report. Tonight.
- 0:13Speaker 3: The leadership of the free world is the biggest story
- 0:16Speaker 3: in the world. It looks likely that Donald Trump will
- 0:19Speaker 3: return to the White House, and an incredible and historic return.
- 0:23Speaker 3: That would be Keep your eye on our screen bottom
- 0:26Speaker 3: right corner. Throughout the evening, we'll show you those live
- 0:28Speaker 3: pictures from Florida. We are awaiting the president, the former president,
- 0:33Speaker 3: to speak to the audience there in Florida tonight. We
- 0:36Speaker 3: expect him to claim victory. Kamala Harris is not speaking tonight.
- 0:40Speaker 3: She set out underlings to say she won't speak till tomorrow.
- 0:43Speaker 2: We'll talk more about.
- 0:44Speaker 3: That tonight as we catch up with Annalise Nilson, Paul Murray,
- 0:47Speaker 3: Kristen Tate, and plenty of others. Now, let's talk about
- 0:52Speaker 3: what's happened here. Donald Trump, in my view, has confounded
- 0:55Speaker 3: the Democrats again. It looks like he's confound that the
- 0:58Speaker 3: mainstream media again. He certainly confounded the political establishment and
- 1:03Speaker 3: the so called elites again.
- 1:05Speaker 2: This time.
- 1:06Speaker 3: He's also overcome a hopelessly politicized judicial system. They threw
- 1:11Speaker 3: everything at Trump, lawsuits, criminal charges, fake news, demonization, and
- 1:17Speaker 3: quite literally it would be assassin's bullet. Yet he still
- 1:21Speaker 3: looks like prevailing.
- 1:23Speaker 4: All around.
- 1:24Speaker 5: All the signs are indicating that there's going to be
- 1:27Speaker 5: a victory celebration here tonight here shortly, all eyes on Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania, Pennsylvania.
- 1:34Speaker 4: That is the only said that anybody here.
- 1:36Speaker 6: Wants to talk about.
- 1:37Speaker 5: That's what they're waiting for to be called, and that's
- 1:40Speaker 5: when this place is.
- 1:41Speaker 3: Going to get Let guys, the thing is with Trump
- 1:45Speaker 3: is that this is all de ja vous. He's done
- 1:47Speaker 3: this for three elections in a row now, and his
- 1:50Speaker 3: critics have not learned a thing. Remember, he was ruthlessly
- 1:54Speaker 3: attacked in twenty sixteen and one against the odds. The
- 1:58Speaker 3: left went into a tail spins. Hillary Clinton cried Fauci,
- 2:02Speaker 3: called for resistance, and riots broke out across the country.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Even celebrities fantasized about political violence.
- 2:11Speaker 2: Yes I am outraged.
- 2:15Speaker 7: Yes I have thought an awful lot about blowing up
- 2:21Speaker 7: the White House.
- 2:23Speaker 3: His presidency was successful in many ways, but derailed by COVID.
- 2:27Speaker 3: The fake news distorted his admittedly in inflammatory.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Words, but he surged to the election four.
- 2:34Speaker 3: Years ago and nearly won. The only thing that saved
- 2:38Speaker 3: the Democrats was COVID. It kept Joe Biden in the basement,
- 2:42Speaker 3: and it allowed for radical mail in ballot rules that
- 2:45Speaker 3: enabled the Democrats union and.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Supporter base to rustle up a record.
- 2:49Speaker 3: Number of mail in ballots without voters actually having to
- 2:52Speaker 3: turn up at polling booth's. This time, Trump faced an
- 2:56Speaker 3: even more enormous challenge. Written off by many. He had
- 3:00Speaker 3: to rewin the Republican nomination. The mainstream media and establishment
- 3:04Speaker 3: were still gunning for him, and the Democrats weaponized a
- 3:08Speaker 3: series of civil and criminal charges against him. They actually
- 3:11Speaker 3: wanted to jail their opponent, but Trump kept coming on
- 3:17Speaker 3: his familiar themes of American economic revival, border security, and
- 3:21Speaker 3: law and order, and he dismantled a sitting president before
- 3:26Speaker 3: the eyes of the world.
- 3:28Speaker 8: And I'm going to continue to move until we get
- 3:30Speaker 8: the total ban on.
- 3:33Speaker 3: The total initiative relative to what we're going to do
- 3:36Speaker 3: with more border patrol and more.
- 3:40Speaker 9: President Trump, I really don't know what he said at
- 3:42Speaker 9: the end of that sent I don't think he knows
- 3:44Speaker 9: what he said either.
- 3:46Speaker 3: When the Democrats belatedly convinced Biden not to run for
- 3:50Speaker 3: re election. They chose not to draft a better candidate.
- 3:54Speaker 3: They opted for Vice President Kamala Harris, and they didn't
- 3:57Speaker 3: convince Biden to resign altogether so she could be sworn
- 4:01Speaker 3: in as the first female president and contest as the incumbent. Instead,
- 4:06Speaker 3: Vice President Harris as the candidate, hid from scrutiny. She
- 4:10Speaker 3: did not conduct a single media conference as the presidential candidate.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Yet she had to inspire Americans and drag people out
- 4:19Speaker 3: to vote, and it doesn't seem to have happened. She
- 4:22Speaker 3: didn't seem to have offered enough.
- 4:26Speaker 10: As we've been sitting here reporting from the Harris headquarters,
- 4:29Speaker 10: and I think the operative word right now is silence.
- 4:32Speaker 10: There's not a lot being sad because the Harris team
- 4:35Speaker 10: appears to be searching for bright spots in the map
- 4:39Speaker 10: as these results, very very.
- 4:41Speaker 11: Solid, searching for bright spots, and also very aware of
- 4:45Speaker 11: the warning signs throughout the electorate.
- 4:49Speaker 3: Yeah, well, surprise, surprise. Calling Donald Trump a fascist just
- 4:54Speaker 3: isn't enough, even if the journalists love it and the
- 4:56Speaker 3: networks amplify it. This is just not plausible. It's just abuse,
- 5:01Speaker 3: and for that reason, it insults not just Trump but
- 5:04Speaker 3: all thinking voters. I mean, have a look at this
- 5:07Speaker 3: nonsense just from yesterday.
- 5:11Speaker 12: If we don't show up tomorrow, it is entirely possible
- 5:17Speaker 12: that we will not have the opportunity to ever cast
- 5:20Speaker 12: a ballot again.
- 5:23Speaker 3: This is ridiculous fear mongering of the highest order, fanned
- 5:27Speaker 3: and promoted by the Democrats. It's not unusual when it
- 5:30Speaker 3: comes to demonizing Trump, and the Green left does it
- 5:33Speaker 3: here too. Look at this from TIERMP Allegra spender yesterday. Now,
- 5:38Speaker 3: if they don't get elected, it's going to be a
- 5:40Speaker 3: blood beat.
- 5:41Speaker 13: This election is terrifying, the politicization of issues such as
- 5:44Speaker 13: abortion agenda, divide in voting over fifteen percent, and also
- 5:49Speaker 13: the undermining of the election result before we even have it.
- 5:52Speaker 13: We must make sure that Australia doesn't follow the US
- 5:55Speaker 13: down these paths.
- 5:57Speaker 3: You'd think the Democrats and the broader left, including most
- 6:00Speaker 3: of the media, you think they would have learned that
- 6:03Speaker 3: this stuff does not work, that it only insults voters.
- 6:07Speaker 3: They've done it now over three electoral cycles in the US.
- 6:11Speaker 3: But they didn't learn and this incredible Donald Trump's story
- 6:15Speaker 3: looks like continuing. He is on track to be the
- 6:18Speaker 3: first president to serve a term lose and then come
- 6:22Speaker 3: back and win a second term since Grover Cleveland in
- 6:25Speaker 3: eighteen ninety two. Trump is likely to dominate the US
- 6:29Speaker 3: and world stage again for four more years. Iran, China,
- 6:34Speaker 3: and Russia will be worried. That's the good news. It
- 6:38Speaker 3: would be terrific news too for Israel and in my
- 6:41Speaker 3: view probably also for Ukraine.
- 6:44Speaker 2: But look out for social unrest in the US.
- 6:47Speaker 3: Whereas the left who have most often triggered civil unrest,
- 6:51Speaker 3: they did it last time Trump one in twenty sixteen.
- 6:55Speaker 2: Let's hope they don't repeat the dose.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Let's keep track with all this to as you can
- 7:00Speaker 3: see again on that bottom right hand corner, we are
- 7:02Speaker 3: keeping an eye on Florida, where Donald Trump is expected
- 7:06Speaker 3: to address supporters and the nation and the world sometime soon.
- 7:10Speaker 3: In the meantime, that's crossed at Washington, DC and catch
- 7:13Speaker 3: up with Sky News political reporter US correspondent Analyse Nilsen.
- 7:17Speaker 3: Great to talk to you again, an Elyse. We've heard
- 7:20Speaker 3: from the Harris camp, if not from Kamala Harris herself.
- 7:23Speaker 3: What do you expect to unfold in the early hours
- 7:26Speaker 3: of the morning in the US.
- 7:30Speaker 14: Look, the more results that come through, the less likely
- 7:33Speaker 14: it is that there's any scenario where Kamala Harris could
- 7:36Speaker 14: claim a victory. And this is the norm in America
- 7:40Speaker 14: that they do just keep counting those votes throughout the night.
- 7:43Speaker 4: There's not a break.
- 7:44Speaker 14: What we're expecting is Donald Trump to claim victory. And
- 7:48Speaker 14: it is remarkable because there were weeks of speculation about, oh,
- 7:52Speaker 14: Donald Trump's going to claim victory, so that then when
- 7:55Speaker 14: the other votes come in and he actually loses, he
- 7:59Speaker 14: is going to claim that the election was stolen. This
- 8:02Speaker 14: almost just puts that entire conversation to bed. We're really
- 8:06Speaker 14: just waiting for Pennsylvania to be called, and after that
- 8:09Speaker 14: the options are over. The fact Kamala Harris hasn't come
- 8:13Speaker 14: out this evening, that there's no fight back, there's no pushback,
- 8:16Speaker 14: there's no all's, well, we're going to get this, I
- 8:19Speaker 14: think is indicative that they know that this is lost.
- 8:23Speaker 14: That Shorty yourself is extraordinary.
- 8:26Speaker 2: It sure is.
- 8:27Speaker 3: We'll pick that up in a moment, But first off,
- 8:29Speaker 3: let's just show what we heard from the Harris camp.
- 8:33Speaker 15: Right to make sure that every voter is counted, that
- 8:38Speaker 15: every voice has spoken. So you won't hear from the
- 8:43Speaker 15: Vice president tonight, but you will hear from her tomorrow.
- 8:50Speaker 15: She will be back here tomorrow to address not only
- 8:53Speaker 15: the hu family, not only to address her supporters, but
- 8:57Speaker 15: to address the nation.
- 8:59Speaker 2: So thank you, we believe in you.
- 9:03Speaker 15: May God bless you, May God keep you, and go,
- 9:06Speaker 15: eat you and go Harris, thank you all.
- 9:11Speaker 2: There we go now.
- 9:12Speaker 3: And Alyss, you're saying, effectively, that's the concession you make
- 9:15Speaker 3: when you're not making a concession. I heard you and
- 9:17Speaker 3: Paul Murray talking about it as well. The fact that
- 9:20Speaker 3: Kamala Harris has not addressed the nation. Now, remember she's
- 9:23Speaker 3: not just the presidential candidate, she's also the serving vice president.
- 9:27Speaker 3: So to be seen as not being a sportsmanlike, if
- 9:31Speaker 3: you like, not being open and up frank with her
- 9:33Speaker 3: supporters and the voters is pretty telling, isn't it.
- 9:38Speaker 4: Well, I mean it comes across as a bit weak.
- 9:42Speaker 14: And the fact that this was their plan, that they
- 9:47Speaker 14: knew this was going to be such a tight result,
- 9:49Speaker 14: that they didn't have a plan to get her out
- 9:51Speaker 14: early and just say thank you everyone, we've done great.
- 9:54Speaker 14: It's going to be too tight to call, but we'll
- 9:57Speaker 14: talk to you again tomorrow. The fact that they've gone
- 10:00Speaker 14: back to exactly what Hillary Clinton did in twenty sixteen.
- 10:03Speaker 4: It's not just Republicans who are stuck.
- 10:06Speaker 14: And I think that's something that people really haven't or
- 10:10Speaker 14: wouldn't have accepted until this point in time. And there
- 10:13Speaker 14: is going to be a portion of America and the
- 10:15Speaker 14: world that's shocked that Donald Trump's back, and they really
- 10:19Speaker 14: shouldn't be, because he's their circuit breaker. And every American
- 10:23Speaker 14: is looking at the situation right now and knows that
- 10:26Speaker 14: what is happening isn't working. When you've got seventy five
- 10:29Speaker 14: percent of people responding to surveys saying what is happening to.
- 10:34Speaker 4: America now is not good, We're on the wrong track.
- 10:38Speaker 14: It is really unfathomable that they would continue with that government.
- 10:43Speaker 4: And so this is the big question from the Democrats.
- 10:45Speaker 14: Why did they think this would work, Why did they
- 10:47Speaker 14: think they could push Joe Biden out so late in
- 10:49Speaker 14: the game, and why did they think they could have
- 10:51Speaker 14: a candidate who's.
- 10:52Speaker 4: Never really run.
- 10:54Speaker 14: She dropped out in twenty twenty primaries before Iowa and
- 10:58Speaker 14: essentially was picked to the vice president for Joe Biden
- 11:01Speaker 14: because in a debate she insinuated that he was racist,
- 11:05Speaker 14: and he responded by saying he was going to replace
- 11:07Speaker 14: He was going to make sure his VP pick was
- 11:09Speaker 14: a woman of color. And so after we see that,
- 11:12Speaker 14: what options do you have. But the fact that Joe
- 11:15Speaker 14: Biden didn't step aside earlier and let them have an
- 11:18Speaker 14: open primaries. There are a lot of good Democrats who
- 11:20Speaker 14: could have been competitive in this race, and they're going
- 11:22Speaker 14: to be furious they spent a billion dollars on Kamala
- 11:26Speaker 14: Harris's campaign.
- 11:28Speaker 4: The return on investment is terrible.
- 11:31Speaker 3: Yeah, I've been saying for three years they wouldn't run
- 11:33Speaker 3: Joe Biden. I thought that much was obvious, but you
- 11:36Speaker 3: would have expected they get a Gretchen Whitmer or a
- 11:38Speaker 3: Gavin Newsom, or someone with a bit more of a
- 11:42Speaker 3: record and a bit more experience to run the fact
- 11:47Speaker 3: that they ran Kamala Harris really does surprise me. Now,
- 11:51Speaker 3: I'd love to be knocking on some doors in the
- 11:53Speaker 3: big city behind you there. That'd be very disappointed as
- 11:55Speaker 3: a very Democrat town of course, DC, with the capital
- 11:58Speaker 3: looking resplendent there.
- 11:59Speaker 4: Behind you're about ninety three percent exactly. Give us election
- 12:03Speaker 4: results in DC.
- 12:05Speaker 2: I know you've been.
- 12:05Speaker 3: Busy working, but give us your sense around the country.
- 12:08Speaker 3: I mean, there was the coverage in the US pretty definitive.
- 12:11Speaker 3: Americans on the East Coast gone to bed knowing that
- 12:14Speaker 3: Trump is going to go but going to go back
- 12:17Speaker 3: into the White House in the morning. Or are they
- 12:20Speaker 3: have they gone to sleep with everything up.
- 12:22Speaker 16: In the air.
- 12:25Speaker 14: Oh, I don't think anyone's gone to sleep feeling good.
- 12:28Speaker 14: If they were worried about Donald Trump coming in. There
- 12:30Speaker 14: was nothing to make them feel confident from even the
- 12:32Speaker 14: first numbers coming through, except for the fact that we've
- 12:34Speaker 14: seen this.
- 12:35Speaker 4: In past years that things have turned around.
- 12:37Speaker 14: But as Paul was explaining before, how these votes are
- 12:40Speaker 14: counted has changed. The amount of people they have our
- 12:43Speaker 14: accounting votes this time has changed, and the trends are
- 12:45Speaker 14: just so consistent and consistent with the polling. If anything,
- 12:49Speaker 14: this election is giving us much more confidence in polling
- 12:52Speaker 14: because for so.
- 12:53Speaker 4: Long we haven't been confident in it.
- 12:55Speaker 14: And it's come through just as tired as we thought
- 12:57Speaker 14: it would, but again, just a little edge towards Trump,
- 13:01Speaker 14: not the undercounting that we saw last time around. And
- 13:04Speaker 14: then don't forget in all this, we now have Senate
- 13:07Speaker 14: control for Republicans all but certain, and we don't have
- 13:10Speaker 14: the House numbers yet.
- 13:11Speaker 4: We could have a Republican control of the House.
- 13:14Speaker 14: Not only does Donald Trump have more power than twenty sixteen,
- 13:17Speaker 14: he may actually end up doing better in the popular
- 13:20Speaker 14: vote count than he did in twenty sixteen.
- 13:23Speaker 6: So there's a lot.
- 13:25Speaker 4: There is a lot to buggested you examining from all
- 13:27Speaker 4: of this.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and you're absolutely right that he could have the
- 13:30Speaker 3: House and the Senate and the White House again. It
- 13:33Speaker 3: could be quite extraordinary. And you're dead right. The polls
- 13:35Speaker 3: were pretty much spot on. We have seen unfold so
- 13:38Speaker 3: far tonight almost exactly what we were expecting. Thanks so
- 13:41Speaker 3: much for joining us and Alsa. We'll come back to
- 13:43Speaker 3: you if there's any more breaking news. And at least
- 13:45Speaker 3: Nilsen there, our US correspondent, at the end of what's
- 13:48Speaker 3: been an incredibly busy night for her, doing a fantastic
- 13:51Speaker 3: job for us. Back here in Os, chief election analyst
- 13:54Speaker 3: Tom Connell can join me.
- 13:56Speaker 2: Tom. We've got the first state flips now in this election.
- 14:01Speaker 17: Yeah, officially flipped, so the state of Georgia. This has
- 14:03Speaker 17: looked ominous since very early on the counting, but we
- 14:07Speaker 17: know last time there was a democratic catch up and
- 14:09Speaker 17: such a way within margin of eleven thousand votes. Here's
- 14:12Speaker 17: the issue two and a half percent is the margin
- 14:14Speaker 17: Donald Trump leads by ninety four percents counted, though the
- 14:17Speaker 17: vote to come is not overwhelmingly democratic.
- 14:21Speaker 1: And the other issue.
- 14:22Speaker 17: Last time around, look how much mail in ballot one
- 14:25Speaker 17: point three million, So that late vote just swamped towards
- 14:29Speaker 17: the Democratic side. This time much less in terms of
- 14:32Speaker 17: mail in ballot, so it's not going to save them
- 14:33Speaker 17: this time around. So Georgia is going to be a
- 14:36Speaker 17: flipped state. So Donald Trump will win the state of Georgia.
- 14:41Speaker 17: Also going into the rest of the seats slap for grabs.
- 14:43Speaker 17: Arizona is looking very strong.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Now.
- 14:45Speaker 17: I know this is a small margin now point seven
- 14:48Speaker 17: fifty percent candidate. I've just been hoping they would get
- 14:51Speaker 17: some more.
- 14:52Speaker 1: In the system. It's going very slowly.
- 14:54Speaker 17: But the early vote he was always going to be
- 14:56Speaker 17: mail in ballot. That was always going to favor the Democrats.
- 14:58Speaker 17: So the fact that it's on a ninfe edge now
- 15:00Speaker 17: is advantage Trump. We want to see the flow of
- 15:02Speaker 17: the rest of the vote, the indication that's going to
- 15:05Speaker 17: help Donald Trump and he could actually have a healthy
- 15:07Speaker 17: margin here and flip this state as well. We just
- 15:10Speaker 17: want to see how that sort of flows before being definitive.
- 15:12Speaker 1: But that's advantage Republican if you like.
- 15:15Speaker 17: And we finally as well have some votes in Nevada,
- 15:17Speaker 17: which we've been waiting for of course over in the West.
- 15:20Speaker 17: So it opens up later and you can see three
- 15:22Speaker 17: point four percent margin.
- 15:23Speaker 2: It's pretty small Nevada.
- 15:24Speaker 17: You can see the margin here is still only thirty
- 15:26Speaker 17: four thousand votes seventy five percent counted. I think that
- 15:30Speaker 17: one is really a toss up right now because it's
- 15:32Speaker 17: going to depend on Clark County. We want to see
- 15:34Speaker 17: how the final votes in Clark County are trending before
- 15:36Speaker 17: we decide what will happen in Nevada. Six electoral College votes,
- 15:40Speaker 17: so not as important as some of these other big ones.
- 15:42Speaker 2: Where does that mean.
- 15:43Speaker 17: More app let's color in our scenario wall then Donald Trump,
- 15:47Speaker 17: he's taking Georgia. After that call, he gets to two
- 15:50Speaker 17: hundred and fifty one.
- 15:51Speaker 1: We believe this is not a projection.
- 15:53Speaker 17: We believe though he'll be able to get Arizona as well,
- 15:56Speaker 17: will be able to be definitive about that as soon
- 15:58Speaker 17: as we get a bit more Voteamala Harris, let's be
- 16:01Speaker 17: glass half full for her campaign and say she gets
- 16:03Speaker 17: the Vada The.
- 16:04Speaker 1: Problem is that leaves Donald Trump at two sixty two.
- 16:07Speaker 17: So the problem for the Democratic campaign is he's only
- 16:09Speaker 17: eight away from the magic two seventy to become president.
- 16:12Speaker 2: And that's where you get to the blue wall.
- 16:14Speaker 17: So it's got to have no cracks in it if
- 16:17Speaker 17: Karmala Harris is to get what would.
- 16:19Speaker 1: Free from here an extremely unlikely victory.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Yeah, let's go back a step there, tom to Georgia.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Such a significant win for Donald Trump, with such a
- 16:27Speaker 3: significant state battleground, legal cases, all the rest of it,
- 16:32Speaker 3: Fairfax County from memory you'll know better than me, perhaps,
- 16:35Speaker 3: but legal cases are even criminal charges relating to Georgia.
- 16:39Speaker 3: So they've got that back and firmly, as you say.
- 16:41Speaker 2: Officially flipped. Now you refer to the blue wall.
- 16:44Speaker 3: We're talking Pennsylvania, Michigan, Wisconsin. At the moment, it looks
- 16:48Speaker 3: like Donald Trump will just need one of those, but
- 16:51Speaker 3: Kamala Harris needs to hold all of them, and it's
- 16:54Speaker 3: not looking that way right.
- 16:58Speaker 17: Well, exactly, that's the problem all three, That is, assuming
- 17:01Speaker 17: Arizona goes Republican.
- 17:02Speaker 2: But all three.
- 17:03Speaker 17: So let's have a quick look and a breakdown of
- 17:05Speaker 17: how those battles are looking at the moment, starting glass
- 17:08Speaker 17: half full for the Democrats, we're stress testing whether there's
- 17:10Speaker 17: ever any chance for them Wisconsin. The first one four
- 17:13Speaker 17: point two percent is a margin eighty three percent called.
- 17:16Speaker 1: You can see the margin as well in.
- 17:17Speaker 17: Terms of vote number a bit more than one hundred thousand.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Now, this one I think is going to be really tight.
- 17:21Speaker 17: Because of this, Milwaukee is still having a fair bit
- 17:24Speaker 17: to count and Carma Harris could make up about it
- 17:27Speaker 17: out one.
- 17:27Speaker 1: Hundred thousand votes in that county alone.
- 17:30Speaker 2: That gets really.
- 17:31Speaker 1: Close to Donald Trump.
- 17:32Speaker 17: I think she's a decent chance still of winning Wisconsin.
- 17:35Speaker 17: That's the best of the swing states to come, or
- 17:38Speaker 17: the best.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Of the Blue Wall.
- 17:39Speaker 17: The problem for her is it gets harder from there.
- 17:42Speaker 17: Pennsylvania with its nineteen electoral College votes two point six
- 17:46Speaker 17: percent and eighty seven point six percent counted, So how
- 17:49Speaker 17: does she make that up about one hundred and seventy
- 17:51Speaker 17: thousand votes behind the problem at the moment in Pennsylvania
- 17:55Speaker 17: is you don't have as much city vote outstanding compared
- 17:57Speaker 17: to last time. So there is votes still in Philadelphia,
- 18:01Speaker 17: which Democrats are talking about a big hope that could
- 18:03Speaker 17: make up about one hundred thousand that still leaves them
- 18:06Speaker 17: fifty sixty.
- 18:07Speaker 1: Thousand votes behind.
- 18:08Speaker 17: And a lot of those other city centers have been counted.
- 18:11Speaker 17: They're not behind schedule, if you like, they're ninety percent
- 18:14Speaker 17: and plus countied.
- 18:15Speaker 1: And again when we talk about the overall early vote.
- 18:17Speaker 17: Look at that two point six million in Pennsylvania in
- 18:20Speaker 17: twenty twenty down to one point eight million or so
- 18:22Speaker 17: this time. So last time, that big catch up at
- 18:26Speaker 17: the end by Democrats in terms of mail in ballots
- 18:28Speaker 17: in particular, it's not as much there this time around.
- 18:31Speaker 17: So Pennsylvania you would have Donald Trump is a clear favorite.
- 18:35Speaker 17: And I think worst of all in terms of how
- 18:37Speaker 17: it's looking would be Michigan.
- 18:39Speaker 2: And here's why.
- 18:40Speaker 17: Let's go first of all to the state of Michigan.
- 18:42Speaker 17: You can see fifty nine percent is canted at the
- 18:45Speaker 17: moment and the margin is six point three percent. That
- 18:47Speaker 17: is significant. And the problem right now is the outstanding
- 18:50Speaker 17: vote is Wayne County. Now how that's been trending is
- 18:53Speaker 17: Kamwa Harris has been going much worse than Joe Biden.
- 18:56Speaker 17: So last time alone, Wayne County, Joe Biden led Donald
- 19:00Speaker 17: Trump by about three hundred thousand votes. If that would
- 19:02Speaker 17: have happened this time, if she performed to the same level,
- 19:04Speaker 17: she'd be a chance of winning Michigan. The last batch
- 19:07Speaker 17: there was really bad for Carmla Harris, barely out voting
- 19:10Speaker 17: Donald Trump. So when we see a bit more of
- 19:12Speaker 17: that counted, in fact, I can see that ticking up,
- 19:15Speaker 17: so I might go and check.
- 19:16Speaker 1: If it's Wayne County or what it might be.
- 19:18Speaker 17: But the point around that is, if Wayne County continues
- 19:20Speaker 17: in that fashion, Carmi Harris cannot make up that vote
- 19:24Speaker 17: because that's the vast majority that's outstanding. And if she
- 19:26Speaker 17: doesn't win Michigan, with the way the rest of the
- 19:28Speaker 17: states are trending, she doesn't win the election, and Donald
- 19:31Speaker 17: Trump will again be President of the United States.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Good Night to nurse.
- 19:35Speaker 3: Just one other quick question, Well, I got you there time.
- 19:37Speaker 3: It's very important, as you say, focusing on the lower
- 19:40Speaker 3: number of mail in ballots to come about half of
- 19:43Speaker 3: what happened during the COVID election in twenty twenty. So
- 19:46Speaker 3: the votes just aren't there to turn these states around.
- 19:49Speaker 3: It looks are we seeing that those votes that do
- 19:53Speaker 3: come in mail in ballots, are they favoring the Democrats
- 19:56Speaker 3: as strongly as they did last time?
- 20:01Speaker 2: Not quite as strongly?
- 20:02Speaker 17: So I mentioned, for example that bat tram Wayne County.
- 20:04Speaker 17: So last time around the other factor. There's two factors.
- 20:07Speaker 17: So let's go nationally when we talk about mail in
- 20:10Speaker 17: ballots and the difference here. This is nationally twenty four
- 20:13Speaker 17: million in twenty sixteen, a huge increase with cod to
- 20:16Speaker 17: sixty five million, and forty one percent of the vote
- 20:19Speaker 17: now down to thirty seven million.
- 20:20Speaker 2: That will tick up a.
- 20:21Speaker 17: Little bit because they can still arrive, but that's obviously
- 20:24Speaker 17: a lot lower. The other factor, of course, that you've
- 20:26Speaker 17: been talking about, Chris, is last time Donald Trump said
- 20:29Speaker 17: don't vote early, get out there, turn up in person.
- 20:32Speaker 1: This time around, he didn't say that.
- 20:34Speaker 17: He realized not just mail in ballots but also early voting.
- 20:37Speaker 2: He said, do get out there.
- 20:39Speaker 17: And you've seen an uptick in early voting this time
- 20:41Speaker 17: compared to last time.
- 20:42Speaker 1: So that's great stuff, Donferency.
- 20:43Speaker 17: When we're talking about that final trend for these seats
- 20:46Speaker 17: that you can't you're not going to see that Democratic
- 20:48Speaker 17: have as dramatic a catch up.
- 20:50Speaker 3: Grace off, Tom all over, get back to us if
- 20:53Speaker 3: another state flips or there are.
- 20:54Speaker 2: Any more developments in the accounting that we need to
- 20:56Speaker 2: know about.
- 20:56Speaker 3: But for now, let's get back to Washington, DC and
- 20:59Speaker 3: catch up with the great my host of Paul Murray Live.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Paul Murray Alive from the Capital of the United States.
- 21:06Speaker 3: I think he's probably just tossed us a guy out
- 21:08Speaker 3: of shop and joining him. Also was Kristin Tight, our
- 21:11Speaker 3: regular US contributor.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Great to say you, Kristin.
- 21:16Speaker 3: You're a Trump supporter, you're a Republican, you voted early,
- 21:19Speaker 3: you were very confident throughout.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Are you calling it for Trump? Now? Oh?
- 21:26Speaker 7: Yes, this is a great night, better than I had
- 21:29Speaker 7: predicted or could have wished for. It reminds me a
- 21:33Speaker 7: lot of twenty sixteen, Chris, and I think what got
- 21:36Speaker 7: Trump across the finish line was the same thing that
- 21:39Speaker 7: got him across the finish line in twenty sixteen. Immigration.
- 21:42Speaker 7: He got back to talking about the border, and we
- 21:45Speaker 7: talk about this all.
- 21:46Speaker 4: The time on your show, Chris. I live in New England.
- 21:48Speaker 7: People in Boston are talking with about immigration with a
- 21:53Speaker 7: sense of alarm that I have never heard coastal people
- 21:56Speaker 7: talk about in the United States.
- 21:57Speaker 4: Just a border state.
- 21:59Speaker 3: Now, just let me interrupt you for a moment, Kristan.
- 22:02Speaker 3: I want to go live to vision and audio from
- 22:05Speaker 3: Florida at the Trump camp.
- 22:06Speaker 2: We seem to have movement. Let's have a listening. And
- 22:13Speaker 2: just as I crossed here we're going.
- 22:16Speaker 18: Was the subject of a Russia investigation in two impagment.
- 22:21Speaker 2: No sorry, there we go.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Just as I cross over, it slows down and looked
- 22:24Speaker 3: like the former president was about to arrive. There we
- 22:29Speaker 3: see Nigel Farage entering. He may have been with Trump.
- 22:33Speaker 3: So they're getting ready for the arrival.
- 22:35Speaker 2: Of Donald Trump. And it's the headquarters there in Florida.
- 22:38Speaker 3: We will keep back on a small screen at the
- 22:41Speaker 3: bottom rid of screen for you, and we will cross
- 22:44Speaker 3: to this event when it happens. You are not going
- 22:46Speaker 3: to miss Donald Trump speaking live. This is going to
- 22:49Speaker 3: be history in the making. So stay with us. Let
- 22:51Speaker 3: me go back to Paul Murray now at the Capitol.
- 22:56Speaker 2: There in Washington, d C.
- 22:58Speaker 3: And Paul, you'll be so looking forward to hearing what
- 23:00Speaker 3: Donald Trump has to say. Tell us what you see
- 23:03Speaker 3: he will say.
- 23:06Speaker 19: Before I get to that, I'll tell you why they're
- 23:08Speaker 19: particularly excited because Pennsylvania has just been called for the
- 23:12Speaker 19: former president. He will, of course be what we knew
- 23:15Speaker 19: him to be for about what three four hours. Now,
- 23:18Speaker 19: returning to the presidency. We can't mark around here just
- 23:23Speaker 19: to Nike Wes.
- 23:25Speaker 3: So we have there a strap there that Fox News
- 23:28Speaker 3: is called Pennsylvania for Donald Trump. And as you quite
- 23:31Speaker 3: directly say, Paul, that essentially means he's got it.
- 23:37Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Look, he has won the election.
- 23:38Speaker 19: It has been clear since well, I would say the
- 23:42Speaker 19: best part of three almost four hours that he was
- 23:44Speaker 19: on trend. I understand why people, you know, play it cautiously,
- 23:48Speaker 19: but Trump has won the election. Donald Trump has gone
- 23:52Speaker 19: from twenty sixteen becoming the first citizen to become president,
- 23:57Speaker 19: to become a first term president after being swept from
- 23:59Speaker 19: off in twenty twenty, only to return to the presidency
- 24:04Speaker 19: four years later. In the intervening period of time, every
- 24:08Speaker 19: element that has tried to resist him has done any
- 24:12Speaker 19: and everything they could to stop this moment from happening.
- 24:15Speaker 19: Yet the American people, not Donald Trump. The American people
- 24:19Speaker 19: have made a decision to reject every possible effort to
- 24:24Speaker 19: resist the return of Donald Trump. Any need to recognize
- 24:29Speaker 19: Kristen the failures of the government that replaced his, and
- 24:34Speaker 19: he has been returned in a fashion that is going
- 24:37Speaker 19: to be, in the fullness of time, extraordinary, where he's
- 24:40Speaker 19: brought a sledgeham of the blue wall. He has held
- 24:43Speaker 19: the sun Belt, he will probably win in Vegas, and
- 24:46Speaker 19: this bloke is looking a million bucks. My apologies for
- 24:49Speaker 19: trying to host, but I was slightly distracted by the
- 24:51Speaker 19: joy of your guest.
- 24:53Speaker 2: The thing is, Paul, what do you say? There was
- 24:55Speaker 2: so true.
- 24:56Speaker 3: They threw everything at him, a criminal charges, civil lawsuits,
- 25:00Speaker 3: the media, the usual games. They didn't seem to learn
- 25:02Speaker 3: anything new about the tactics, but they threw everything at
- 25:05Speaker 3: him and he kept coming. And so rather than being
- 25:07Speaker 3: a threat to democracy, what you're seeing is the very
- 25:10Speaker 3: demonstration of the best of democracy. Christen, I'm sitting you degree.
- 25:16Speaker 4: So that's exactly right.
- 25:18Speaker 7: And with every effort from the left and the media
- 25:21Speaker 7: to tear Trump down, it backfired in their face. He
- 25:23Speaker 7: got stronger and stronger. The strength of Donald Trump is unbelievable.
- 25:27Speaker 7: I think he won the election when after he was
- 25:30Speaker 7: shot in the ear, he stood up and.
- 25:32Speaker 4: He put his fist in the air fight fight. That
- 25:37Speaker 4: showed who that man really is.
- 25:39Speaker 7: He is a lion, He's a fighter, and who is
- 25:42Speaker 7: he running against?
- 25:43Speaker 4: A woman who won't even take an interview.
- 25:45Speaker 7: With relatively friendly outlet, doesn't even have the guts to
- 25:49Speaker 7: address her own supporters who have been working their tails
- 25:52Speaker 7: off for her.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Tonight.
- 25:53Speaker 7: It's an insult to her supporters, it's an insult to
- 25:56Speaker 7: the country, and it's reckoning.
- 25:59Speaker 4: Tonight is a reckoning against the media.
- 26:01Speaker 3: Kristin, we are talking about a woman who is the
- 26:04Speaker 3: vice president of the United States and the candidate yet
- 26:08Speaker 3: did not do one media conference throughout the whole campaign
- 26:12Speaker 3: and has in fronted the public to not It's extraordinary
- 26:15Speaker 3: that they think that can run a campaign like that
- 26:18Speaker 3: and trade budges like that.
- 26:22Speaker 4: It is it's insulting.
- 26:24Speaker 7: It's also a fundamental misunderstanding that Democrats have about minority voters.
- 26:28Speaker 7: They could they thought they could just throw any black
- 26:30Speaker 7: woman up there as candidate and that they would be
- 26:32Speaker 7: entitled to the votes of Black Americans or Latino Americans.
- 26:35Speaker 7: And what we have seen now is Trump is actually
- 26:38Speaker 7: overperforming with those groups because guess what, Black Americans and
- 26:42Speaker 7: Latino Americans have the same exact hopes and dreams and
- 26:45Speaker 7: concerns as every other voter in this country. They're concerned
- 26:48Speaker 7: about the economy, they're concerned about the open border.
- 26:50Speaker 4: They can see that.
- 26:51Speaker 7: Kama is an empty pantsuit these are intelligent, savvy voters.
- 26:55Speaker 7: So I hope that the left and the media, which
- 26:58Speaker 7: if you could even draw distinction between those two, have
- 27:01Speaker 7: they come to Jesus moment in the following days and
- 27:04Speaker 7: realize that they have let the radicals and the party
- 27:06Speaker 7: suck all the oxygen out of the room and completely
- 27:09Speaker 7: highjacket and they've become completely out of step with working
- 27:12Speaker 7: average Americans.
- 27:14Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm wondering, Paul Murray, when we see Joe Biden next,
- 27:17Speaker 3: because as many people around the world and around the
- 27:21Speaker 3: US might have forgotten, he's still the serving president.
- 27:25Speaker 19: Look, it's been unpleasant, but I've never been saying that.
- 27:28Speaker 19: You know, Joe's been sitting back and smiling at the
- 27:30Speaker 19: White House. He is watching a replay of the twenty
- 27:32Speaker 19: twenty election. But if the news is coming through about
- 27:35Speaker 19: what's been happening, he will now strangely be able to
- 27:39Speaker 19: go off into his retirement thinking that, well, I told
- 27:43Speaker 19: you I was the only one who could beat his
- 27:44Speaker 19: place in democratic history is the only person who beat
- 27:47Speaker 19: Donald Trump. You know, all of the people who moved
- 27:50Speaker 19: heaven and earth to pretend that they were defending democracy
- 27:52Speaker 19: by subverting the will of democratic voters well, you know,
- 27:58Speaker 19: I think that again he ends up being a one
- 28:00Speaker 19: term president. Trump now is a two term president. Think
- 28:03Speaker 19: about all of the many incredible things that are going
- 28:05Speaker 19: to be happening just over here at the Capitol on
- 28:09Speaker 19: the twentieth of January next year, where Joe Biden, who
- 28:12Speaker 19: defeated Donald Trump will be handing over to Donald Trump.
- 28:15Speaker 19: Where Kamala Harris, who tried to take on Donald Trump, well.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Essentially her career is over.
- 28:21Speaker 19: It's done.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Right.
- 28:22Speaker 19: She'll go and be perhaps governor of California, but her
- 28:25Speaker 19: chance of the presidency is done. So she'll be standing
- 28:28Speaker 19: there in the same way that Hillary Clinton did. And again, look,
- 28:32Speaker 19: I keep saying, I'm incredibly happy as somebody who wanted
- 28:35Speaker 19: it to happens, you know, and is pleased with what's
- 28:38Speaker 19: going to happen in the country. Be a good winner,
- 28:41Speaker 19: Be careful for the people who are feeling bad right now.
- 28:44Speaker 19: Just because they don't do it doesn't mean that we
- 28:46Speaker 19: shouldn't extend that courtesy. But think about those people in
- 28:49Speaker 19: that room and wearing those red hats.
- 28:51Speaker 1: Because Chris the thing.
- 28:52Speaker 19: I was thinking, and Chris and I were talking about
- 28:53Speaker 19: it before.
- 28:55Speaker 2: I mean, in the history of all time, right.
- 28:58Speaker 19: If you turn around and tell young people don't touch it,
- 29:01Speaker 19: don't say it, don't do it.
- 29:03Speaker 2: What do they do? And it happens.
- 29:06Speaker 19: If it's a toddler, if it's a teenager, then they're
- 29:08Speaker 19: going to drink when they shouldn't. And if it is politics,
- 29:11Speaker 19: and you say, if you put that red hat on,
- 29:13Speaker 19: if you put that red hat on, and guess what
- 29:15Speaker 19: they did, active rebellion had on folk.
- 29:17Speaker 7: Recording only young people all the time were in the
- 29:20Speaker 7: red hat.
- 29:21Speaker 2: Yeah, very good.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Now I'm looking forward to seeing what we see here tonight,
- 29:26Speaker 3: whether we get a bit of a dance from Donald Trump.
- 29:28Speaker 3: Certainly we get some triumphalism, and he deserves to relition that.
- 29:32Speaker 2: But I wonder whether we see a little bit of.
- 29:34Speaker 3: That unity message we got from him after the assassination attempt,
- 29:38Speaker 3: which was a very very strong moment for him.
- 29:40Speaker 2: We will see Kristin.
- 29:42Speaker 3: The other thing that fascinates me is there's so many
- 29:44Speaker 3: ways that the Donald Trump presidency was successful.
- 29:47Speaker 2: Last time around.
- 29:49Speaker 3: It was side swipe, of course, like so many other
- 29:51Speaker 3: governments around the world, by the COVID nineteen pandemic, but
- 29:55Speaker 3: he did have a lot of churn through his office.
- 29:59Speaker 2: Chiefs of and the locks.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Do you know whether he's he's pulled together a top
- 30:04Speaker 3: right and more stable team for Trump mak two.
- 30:11Speaker 6: Yes.
- 30:11Speaker 7: I know people who are close to insiders in Trump's orbit,
- 30:15Speaker 7: and they've assured me that Trump has a lot more
- 30:18Speaker 7: confidence than the people he has surrounded himself with this time.
- 30:22Speaker 7: And you know, he was not a politician prior to
- 30:24Speaker 7: being elected in twenty sixteen. He was kind of learning
- 30:27Speaker 7: as he went along. He is much wiser now. He
- 30:30Speaker 7: has more experience now and guess what, twenty sixteen and
- 30:33Speaker 7: then the four years after that allowed him to see
- 30:36Speaker 7: who the good talented people really are and weed out
- 30:38Speaker 7: the bad ones.
- 30:39Speaker 4: So I have a lot more confidence.
- 30:44Speaker 2: Go ahead, mat No, No, no, it was just no.
- 30:47Speaker 19: I was just going to say, is that what's really
- 30:49Speaker 19: important this time around, right is after the changes to
- 30:52Speaker 19: the Supreme Court, all legal all okay, every president gets
- 30:54Speaker 19: the chance to There was a decision that was made
- 30:58Speaker 19: which was a thing which was removing a thing called
- 31:00Speaker 19: Chevron deference. What that essentially meant was was that government
- 31:04Speaker 19: departments were able to invent a rule and enforce it
- 31:07Speaker 19: like a law, which meant that the administrative state deep state,
- 31:12Speaker 19: as many people would refer to it ended up getting
- 31:14Speaker 19: more and more power. The Supreme Court prior to this
- 31:17Speaker 19: election clipped its wings. One of the central projects of
- 31:20Speaker 19: the second Trump term is to continue that work.
- 31:24Speaker 10: Now.
- 31:24Speaker 19: That is going to mean that, yes, there's going to
- 31:26Speaker 19: be disruption. Yes, there's going to be as sections of
- 31:28Speaker 19: the public service that will be changing. Yes, there will
- 31:30Speaker 19: be potential changes in the intelligence services. They will be resisted,
- 31:34Speaker 19: they will be leaked against. There will be fake impeachments,
- 31:38Speaker 19: including the police officers that are offended by the mass
- 31:40Speaker 19: suggestions we speak as Washington, which mattered what ninety percent
- 31:44Speaker 19: Democrat is taking it very well, but expect that about Trump, right,
- 31:48Speaker 19: he has been elected to change things. Now that will
- 31:51Speaker 19: be interpreted by the left as breaking things. But if
- 31:53Speaker 19: you've been hired to change things, you change things. And
- 31:56Speaker 19: a man who does not need to seek re election,
- 31:59Speaker 19: he will not be the all in the china shop,
- 32:01Speaker 19: but he's certainly going to move a few plates around.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Now.
- 32:03Speaker 3: That may well have been the Kamala Harris wambulance. We'll
- 32:05Speaker 3: find out later on.
- 32:06Speaker 2: But I'm excited. The thing I'm.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Excited about with this presidency is what it will do
- 32:12Speaker 3: for global affairs.
- 32:13Speaker 2: Kristen.
- 32:14Speaker 3: I'm excited about how it might help bring peace to
- 32:16Speaker 3: the Middle East quicker. Last time, as President Donald Trump
- 32:20Speaker 3: moved the US embassy to Jerusalem, we saw the Abraham Accords.
- 32:24Speaker 3: We saw great strides towards peace in the Middle East.
- 32:26Speaker 3: That's gone backwards since. So I'm hoping that Hamas and
- 32:29Speaker 3: Hezbollah are terrified about Donald Trump going back into the
- 32:33Speaker 3: White House. I'm hoping that Vladimir Putin is too, and
- 32:36Speaker 3: that the Muller's in Iran. So I think that's an
- 32:40Speaker 3: unquestionably going to be a good thing for global affairs.
- 32:43Speaker 2: A strong president.
- 32:44Speaker 3: Again, what do you expect to see as Donald Trump's
- 32:48Speaker 3: prime objectives domestically after the border, The border and.
- 32:52Speaker 2: Immigration, I think is obvious.
- 32:53Speaker 3: Beyond that, what are most Americans looking for from him?
- 32:59Speaker 7: Well gets you that I hear a lot about amongst
- 33:02Speaker 7: people in my age group are restoring parental rights. Parents
- 33:06Speaker 7: are terrified to send their children into the public schools
- 33:08Speaker 7: where they are being indoctrinated with the radical gender ideology
- 33:12Speaker 7: and race ideology.
- 33:13Speaker 4: So that's one thing that.
- 33:14Speaker 7: Hopefully he can have a big impact in terms of
- 33:18Speaker 7: just giving parents their rights and their confidence back. But
- 33:21Speaker 7: of course the economy. That's a huge one. We have
- 33:24Speaker 7: seen prices still very high in this country. Working families
- 33:28Speaker 7: are struggling to just buy the necessities. So Trump, I think,
- 33:32Speaker 7: will do everything he can to get those prices back.
- 33:35Speaker 4: Down for working Americans.
- 33:37Speaker 7: And then moving manufacturing back into this country instead of
- 33:40Speaker 7: continuing to outsource everything, fracking, I mean, everything that has
- 33:45Speaker 7: gone wrong under the Harris Biden administration, he will work
- 33:48Speaker 7: to reverse.
- 33:49Speaker 4: I have a lot of confidence in.
- 33:50Speaker 3: That, and sty there, Christian and Paul, stay there and
- 33:54Speaker 3: stay warm. I just went across to that Chafe election
- 33:57Speaker 3: analyst Tom cunnell again for an update.
- 33:59Speaker 17: Tom, Chris, the blue wall is broken, and I'll show
- 34:05Speaker 17: you what this means in a moment Pennsylvania. I told
- 34:08Speaker 17: you we needed a bit more of the vote to
- 34:10Speaker 17: come in.
- 34:10Speaker 2: We've got it.
- 34:11Speaker 17: You can see the total vote now in Pennsylvania ninety
- 34:13Speaker 17: one nearly ninety two percent counter three point four percent
- 34:15Speaker 17: in the margin, or more than two hundred thousand votes.
- 34:18Speaker 17: The current rate in terms of the votes remaining, it's
- 34:21Speaker 17: not going to close us enough. That's going to be
- 34:23Speaker 17: a clear win to Donald Trump. So he carries Pennsylvania.
- 34:27Speaker 17: That's another one that he's flipped. When we go now
- 34:29Speaker 17: to our overall results, we color it in and we
- 34:32Speaker 17: see that Pennsylvania is now going to be Donald Trump's.
- 34:35Speaker 1: Going to win that Presidentaction two hundred and sixty seven.
- 34:37Speaker 17: So what's to come? How does he get there? Yes,
- 34:40Speaker 17: there's the rest of the Blue Wall, there's Arizona, there's Nevada.
- 34:43Speaker 17: He's a strong chance in all of those. But before that,
- 34:46Speaker 17: we get to little Alaska. Yes, Alaska, it's obviously a
- 34:49Speaker 17: Republican hole. We just want to make sure nothing strange
- 34:51Speaker 17: is happening. We've already got twenty six percent of the vote.
- 34:54Speaker 17: We've got Donald Trump clearly ahead. This is just something
- 34:57Speaker 17: the Republicans don't lose. So we also have a victory
- 34:59Speaker 17: for Donald Trump in Alaska. What does that mean the
- 35:02Speaker 17: race to two seventy, Well, that is now over.
- 35:05Speaker 2: Donald Trump wins the.
- 35:06Speaker 17: State of Alaska, and as a result, Donald Trump is
- 35:10Speaker 17: once again going to be the President of the United States.
- 35:13Speaker 3: The extraordinary stuff, Tom, Thanks for that, Tom Connell. There
- 35:16Speaker 3: we call it here on Sky News. Donald Trump has
- 35:19Speaker 3: won the twenty twenty four election. He'll be the first
- 35:22Speaker 3: American president to lose office in an election stay out
- 35:26Speaker 3: of office for four years come back and win the
- 35:29Speaker 3: next election to return to the White House for.
- 35:32Speaker 2: A second term.
- 35:33Speaker 3: The last American president to do that was Grover Cleveland
- 35:37Speaker 3: in eighteen ninety two.
- 35:39Speaker 2: This is an extraordinary turn of events.
- 35:42Speaker 3: When I go back to the US capital, Washington, DC
- 35:46Speaker 3: and pick this up with Kristen Tate and Paul Murray,
- 35:49Speaker 3: we talked a bit Christian about the media and the
- 35:52Speaker 3: left and how they should be ashamed about how that
- 35:56Speaker 3: facilitated all this if you'd like, We'll get back to
- 35:58Speaker 3: that in a while, because it deserves some examination. But
- 36:02Speaker 3: talk to me about Trump's supporters. His base has stacked through,
- 36:07Speaker 3: stuck with him through thick and thin, and has been
- 36:11Speaker 3: demonized by sometimes the fellow citizens and certainly by the
- 36:14Speaker 3: nation's elite for a decade well.
- 36:19Speaker 7: Of course, and I think the attacks on Trump supporters
- 36:22Speaker 7: from the media and the left, though, have lost a
- 36:25Speaker 7: little bit of their venom. I mean, at this point,
- 36:27Speaker 7: you know, you turn on the television and you see
- 36:29Speaker 7: these talking heads trying to demonize Trump supporters or Trump
- 36:32Speaker 7: and calling Trump and his supporters hitlarian, and people just
- 36:35Speaker 7: kind of roll their eyes and yawn.
- 36:36Speaker 4: At this point, they have.
- 36:38Speaker 7: Been ringing these false alarm bells on the media about
- 36:41Speaker 7: Trump being a dictator and all of his supporters being
- 36:44Speaker 7: complicit in that for years, and guess what, Trump was
- 36:47Speaker 7: in office for four years we were able to see
- 36:50Speaker 7: how he governed. The whole Trump is a dictator thing
- 36:54Speaker 7: just doesn't really add up. We have no history to
- 36:56Speaker 7: support that claim. So I think it kind of rolls
- 36:59Speaker 7: off the back of a lot of his supporters now.
- 37:00Speaker 7: But of course they're extremely excited tonight. They were successful
- 37:07Speaker 7: in getting the numbers they needed and convincing people who
- 37:11Speaker 7: didn't vote for Trump in twenty twenty that there's messaging
- 37:13Speaker 7: from the media is a lie.
- 37:14Speaker 19: Yeah. Can I also talk about a tactic here too, Chris,
- 37:17Speaker 19: where the Trump campaign, sorry, but that the Trump campaign
- 37:20Speaker 19: went and one of their strategies about how they were
- 37:22Speaker 19: going to get the vote out right, which was that
- 37:24Speaker 19: they went and had these things called Trump Force forty
- 37:28Speaker 19: seven where you became a Trump captain, And what that
- 37:30Speaker 19: meant was that you had responsibility to double check if
- 37:33Speaker 19: everyone in your street, the street the other side, that
- 37:36Speaker 19: it was very small numbers of people, and that you
- 37:38Speaker 19: made sure that those people were aware and they voted.
- 37:41Speaker 19: Democrats had done this for a long time. Also, lots
- 37:43Speaker 19: of stuff happened in and around the internet. So they
- 37:46Speaker 19: came not just with the same passion and the same
- 37:49Speaker 19: fight that they've had since twenty sixteen.
- 37:51Speaker 6: They got smart on how to do it.
- 37:53Speaker 19: They got smart on how to be able to get
- 37:55Speaker 19: out the vote, and yeah, Trump is the next president.
- 37:59Speaker 2: Incredible.
- 38:00Speaker 3: Look at the other point is what we saw people
- 38:03Speaker 3: like Oprah Winfrey just yesterday telling.
- 38:06Speaker 2: People if they don't get out and vote for Kamala Harris,
- 38:08Speaker 2: they may never get to vote again.
- 38:10Speaker 3: I mean, what's the problem here is that this is
- 38:13Speaker 3: the scandalous misinformation, fake news demonization that's been out there
- 38:18Speaker 3: from the left.
- 38:19Speaker 2: There's never been a reckoning.
- 38:20Speaker 3: They did it in twenty sixteen, they did it in
- 38:22Speaker 3: the twenty twenty cycles. I've tried it again, Kristin, but
- 38:25Speaker 3: there's never been a reckoning.
- 38:27Speaker 2: CNN and the other mobs just don't learn.
- 38:31Speaker 3: You think it will be different this time, given that
- 38:33Speaker 3: he's actually back in power.
- 38:37Speaker 4: So I think the media will change its ways. No,
- 38:39Speaker 4: I don't.
- 38:40Speaker 7: But you know, if you go around and you talk
- 38:42Speaker 7: to Trump supporters, they have a bunch of reasons why
- 38:45Speaker 7: they're voting for him. The border or the fact that
- 38:48Speaker 7: he's strong, or the economy. If you talk to Kamala
- 38:52Speaker 7: Harris supporters, all they will give you are these vacuous
- 38:56Speaker 7: talking points that they get from the CNNs and MSNBC
- 39:00Speaker 7: of the media. They're actually not really voting for anything.
- 39:04Speaker 7: They're just voting against Donald Trump because the media has
- 39:07Speaker 7: told them to do so. So I think another thing
- 39:09Speaker 7: we learned tonight is that voters are more mobilized generally
- 39:12Speaker 7: when they have something to vote for than when they're
- 39:15Speaker 7: just going to vote against absolutely thing that has nothing
- 39:18Speaker 7: to do with policy, voting against a personality, basically, Yeah, and.
- 39:21Speaker 3: The Democrats refused to learn that. I reckon three cycles
- 39:24Speaker 3: in a row. Stay there, guys, I want to cross
- 39:26Speaker 3: back down to Florida.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Now.
- 39:27Speaker 3: We want to get to Donald Trump campaign headquarters or
- 39:29Speaker 3: election night headquarters. At least Pete stefan Ivick has made
- 39:32Speaker 3: his way there. Pete tell us about the excitement in
- 39:35Speaker 3: that crowd and how far off the Donald is.
- 39:40Speaker 6: Well, it's fessive, let me put it that way, Chris.
- 39:43Speaker 20: A couple of moments, some key moments in the last
- 39:46Speaker 20: half hour or so, maybe a little bit longer, but
- 39:49Speaker 20: when the spokesperson for the Kamala Harris campaign came out
- 39:54Speaker 20: and said she wasn't going to speak tonight.
- 39:56Speaker 6: The place just erupted.
- 39:57Speaker 20: In booze, and then all of a sudden YMCA came
- 40:01Speaker 20: on the big sound speakers, and then Donald Trump was
- 40:03Speaker 20: up on the screen there doing the Trump Dance, and
- 40:06Speaker 20: the place just went off.
- 40:08Speaker 6: And then there was a little bit of a lull.
- 40:10Speaker 20: And after that, Pennsylvania was declared, and the place just
- 40:14Speaker 20: absolutely erupted.
- 40:16Speaker 6: And this area.
- 40:17Speaker 20: Behind me, well, everyone's dancing to Elvis at the moment.
- 40:20Speaker 20: That gives you an idea of how things are. But
- 40:22Speaker 20: it was half full. But once Pennsylvania was declared, all
- 40:27Speaker 20: the Trump supporters who were behind the stage and the
- 40:30Speaker 20: media riser which is behind my cameraman Murray at the
- 40:34Speaker 20: moment there you go.
- 40:35Speaker 6: So all the Trump supporters who were.
- 40:36Speaker 20: Behind that all of a sudden just started rushing to
- 40:39Speaker 20: the stage. So it was it was quite a moment,
- 40:42Speaker 20: and I think that's the moment where everyone here realized
- 40:46Speaker 20: that it was a it was a done deal.
- 40:48Speaker 6: Basically.
- 40:48Speaker 20: I remember reporting here four years ago with you, Griz,
- 40:52Speaker 20: and remember that the Republicans came out to that lead
- 40:55Speaker 20: and then it looked like they were going to get
- 40:57Speaker 20: there until they were overtaken by the I think that
- 41:01Speaker 20: was in the back of most folks' minds this time
- 41:04Speaker 20: as well.
- 41:04Speaker 11: Absolutely, But in that last hour or so, even though
- 41:08Speaker 11: the trend was becoming clear and clearer, that was when
- 41:12Speaker 11: they realized, right, I think Trump's got there.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Yeah, that's absolutely the case. A lot of caution this
- 41:19Speaker 3: time around it.
- 41:19Speaker 2: In many ways, the sequence of states and the way
- 41:22Speaker 2: they fell very much mirrored twenty twenty, but without those
- 41:25Speaker 2: votes to come and calling Pennsylvania there it is. Donald
- 41:29Speaker 2: Trump returns to the White House. Now.
- 41:31Speaker 3: The point about what's happening there, of course, is everyone
- 41:35Speaker 3: wants to hear from Donald Trump. I'm surprised we've waited
- 41:38Speaker 3: this long because I thought it'd be very eager to
- 41:40Speaker 3: get out there and claim victory early. Maybe he's waiting
- 41:43Speaker 3: to get some sort of consolation call from Kamala Harris,
- 41:46Speaker 3: but she says she's doing nothing until tomorrow.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Now.
- 41:49Speaker 3: I think you're in for a hell of a party tonight, ped.
- 41:54Speaker 6: Yeah, I think.
- 41:55Speaker 20: So it's approaching two o'clock in the morning that nobody's leaving,
- 41:58Speaker 20: let's put it.
- 41:58Speaker 6: That way, Chris, I mean, yeah, it was we were
- 42:02Speaker 6: told about a couple of hours ago.
- 42:03Speaker 2: Now here we go. This looks interesting.
- 42:10Speaker 20: So that's Fox News doing a live broadcast from the
- 42:13Speaker 20: rising here.
- 42:14Speaker 6: Whenever they do that, the place does that. Everyone's very excited.
- 42:18Speaker 6: So we've been.
- 42:19Speaker 20: Told for the last couple of hours or so the
- 42:21Speaker 20: Trump was on his way, and Das said about an
- 42:24Speaker 20: hour ago that he was on his way.
- 42:26Speaker 6: Still not here yet, but we're hearings of movements.
- 42:30Speaker 20: Behind the stage and also the screens for the telepromptor
- 42:35Speaker 20: went up about about twenty minutes or so. So, I mean,
- 42:38Speaker 20: you get the feeling now that it's finally getting close.
- 42:41Speaker 6: As we get closer two o'clock in the morning.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Egress, it's not far off. Here we go, let's stay
- 42:49Speaker 2: with this live.
- 42:50Speaker 6: Yeah, but everyone's very excited.
- 42:51Speaker 2: A lot of false stars. Thanks very much. People, keep
- 42:54Speaker 2: in touch. We'll cross back to Trump HQ when.
- 42:57Speaker 3: It all happens, and we'll keep that picture alive and
- 42:59Speaker 3: the bottom of screen so you can see what's going on.
- 43:02Speaker 3: You will not miss a word of Donald Trump when
- 43:04Speaker 3: he comes back to claim victory for the second time,
- 43:07Speaker 3: for the second time elected to be the leader of
- 43:10Speaker 3: the free world. He'll be going back into the White
- 43:11Speaker 3: House on January the twentieth next year. Let's cross now
- 43:15Speaker 3: to Barbara Honeyback, former Democrat White House staf joining us
- 43:19Speaker 3: live from Brisbane. Barbara, do you feel any disappointment that
- 43:23Speaker 3: Kamala Harris hasn't been able to become the first woman
- 43:28Speaker 3: of color and first woman to be elected to the presidency.
- 43:34Speaker 16: I am so disappointed and really insulted. I'm a Howard alum,
- 43:40Speaker 16: and that she didn't have the decency to walk out
- 43:44Speaker 16: and say something to her, you know, to her university,
- 43:49Speaker 16: make a comment to the United States. Things were not
- 43:52Speaker 16: looking well for her. It wasn't completely over, but short
- 43:57Speaker 16: of a miracle, we knew which way this was going,
- 44:00Speaker 16: and that she didn't have some grace. I mean, it
- 44:04Speaker 16: shows us how classless she actually is, a sore loser,
- 44:10Speaker 16: And even though it's painful for her, for the Democrats,
- 44:14Speaker 16: I think America might be relieved at recognizing and realizing
- 44:19Speaker 16: they don't have to put up with this any longer.
- 44:21Speaker 16: And if this is what they were walking into, maybe
- 44:25Speaker 16: it's better that it gets, you know, cut at the
- 44:27Speaker 16: nip right now.
- 44:28Speaker 3: Well, she's such a poor candidate, Barbara, She's such a
- 44:33Speaker 3: poor candidate. Of course, she was a surprise pick for
- 44:36Speaker 3: vice president as the running mate for Joe Biden, but
- 44:39Speaker 3: he said he was going to pick a woman of
- 44:40Speaker 3: color and she got the gig. She's never won an
- 44:43Speaker 3: election of any substance. This would have been the first
- 44:46Speaker 3: one if she did. Didn't get a vote when she
- 44:48Speaker 3: contested the primaries. Why do you think she's failed? What
- 44:53Speaker 3: was the biggest mistake of the Democrat campaign?
- 44:58Speaker 16: The biggest mistake was her not selecting Shapiro. I mean,
- 45:03Speaker 16: she had an ace, you know, an ace in the hole,
- 45:06Speaker 16: and she didn't take that. Shapiro is so well respected,
- 45:11Speaker 16: like he's doing an incredible job in Pennsylvania. And the
- 45:15Speaker 16: reason she didn't take it is another part of that
- 45:19Speaker 16: personality that you know, eked through. She is so completely
- 45:24Speaker 16: insecure that she could not have someone that bright around
- 45:28Speaker 16: her to upstage her and outshine her. And so this
- 45:32Speaker 16: is why she didn't select him. I'm pretty sure she
- 45:35Speaker 16: made a lot of mistakes by bringing on all of
- 45:38Speaker 16: Hollywood and Beyonce.
- 45:40Speaker 2: And all of these people, but they always do that.
- 45:42Speaker 16: Dance wasn't very happy. They always Johncey wasn't happy.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Yeah, it's pathetic.
- 45:48Speaker 3: Now now you know the Democrats you're connected to them,
- 45:50Speaker 3: You've worked in the White House for Democrat presidents. Tell
- 45:54Speaker 3: us what they're going to go through in coming days.
- 45:56Speaker 3: They may lose the House and the Senate as well.
- 45:58Speaker 3: They might have gone backwards in the House and lose
- 46:00Speaker 3: the Senate, a very very dark die for the Democrats.
- 46:05Speaker 3: Do you expect them to learn? Do you expect serious recriminations?
- 46:11Speaker 16: One of the things I noticed is or I really
- 46:14Speaker 16: believe is going to happen, is that, you know, we
- 46:17Speaker 16: have to remember that Obama and Michelle did not come
- 46:21Speaker 16: out to endorse her for about more than a week,
- 46:24Speaker 16: about ten days after all of the other elite Democrats did,
- 46:29Speaker 16: Nancy Pelosi, Chuck Schumer, all of the others, but they
- 46:32Speaker 16: didn't come out. And Obama really wanted to have a proper,
- 46:37Speaker 16: you know, go through the process of the primary and everything,
- 46:41Speaker 16: let the Democratic National Committee choose and select who they
- 46:45Speaker 16: really wanted for a candidate. Obama has been telling people
- 46:49Speaker 16: all along before she became Vice president not to do
- 46:54Speaker 16: this and not to jump to that. Willie Brown as well,
- 46:57Speaker 16: who you know, who had been the mayor of Sanford Cisco,
- 47:00Speaker 16: said give her a position somewhere, but not VP. People
- 47:05Speaker 16: closer to her knew what was coming on, and so
- 47:10Speaker 16: they didn't listen to that. The Congress. I don't know
- 47:14Speaker 16: which way it's going to go, but I think that
- 47:19Speaker 16: if we have a couple more Republicans in the Senate
- 47:24Speaker 16: to carry us through these next four years. But I
- 47:27Speaker 16: think it's going to be easier for Trump than it was,
- 47:30Speaker 16: you know, back in twenty sixteen.
- 47:32Speaker 3: It could well be he could be a much more
- 47:34Speaker 3: powerful president than he was last time around. Thanks for
- 47:36Speaker 3: joining us, Barbara appreciated, Barbara honneback their former Democrat staffer
- 47:40Speaker 3: in the White House back in the previous administrations.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Joining us live from Brisbane. Let's go back to Washington,
- 47:46Speaker 2: d C.
- 47:46Speaker 3: Now on the bottom of the screen there you can
- 47:48Speaker 3: see a live picture from Florida. We will take you
- 47:51Speaker 3: live to Donald Trump when he addresses the crowd there,
- 47:54Speaker 3: But for now, let's go back to Kristen Tate and
- 47:56Speaker 3: Paul Murray in Washington, D C.
- 47:58Speaker 2: One point I wanted to raise with.
- 47:59Speaker 3: Both of you when we especially look at how well
- 48:02Speaker 3: Donald Trump has done in the Midwest and in that
- 48:05Speaker 3: Blue Wall territory.
- 48:07Speaker 2: Is the choice of JD.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Vans, much derided by the Democrats and many in the media.
- 48:11Speaker 3: I would have thought Christian the jd Evans, having grown
- 48:14Speaker 3: up in that area and been.
- 48:17Speaker 2: Hang on, we need to go.
- 48:18Speaker 3: Back to Florida, guys, Pete Stephanovic, what's happening, Chris.
- 48:24Speaker 8: Chris, It's just been declared by Fox News that Trump
- 48:27Speaker 8: is the.
- 48:28Speaker 6: Next president of the USA. Have a look at the
- 48:30Speaker 6: crowd now.
- 48:38Speaker 20: So there was a huge eruption, just like there was
- 48:42Speaker 20: when Pennsylvania was declared about fifteen minutes ago. And this
- 48:47Speaker 20: is just being reported by Fox News now, which is
- 48:50Speaker 20: on the big screen. And there are a couple of
- 48:53Speaker 20: thousand peoples who are on the floor here, all wearing
- 48:58Speaker 20: their red Maga hats, all hugging.
- 49:01Speaker 6: All with their arms in the air. Not all, but
- 49:03Speaker 6: most of them anyway.
- 49:04Speaker 20: But you get all you've got now. All you've got
- 49:13Speaker 20: now is the vacant podium on the top of the stage.
- 49:17Speaker 20: There Chris just waiting for the man to appear. And
- 49:20Speaker 20: perhaps that's what he's been waiting for all along, for
- 49:23Speaker 20: it to be declared, to buy someone to just try
- 49:27Speaker 20: to play your perhaps Fox News, and then you'll.
- 49:30Speaker 6: Come on out.
- 49:31Speaker 2: That may well be the case. That may be exactly
- 49:34Speaker 2: what he was waiting for.
- 49:35Speaker 3: And by the looks of that crowd when he arrives,
- 49:39Speaker 3: it will be many, many minutes of cheering before he
- 49:41Speaker 3: is able to speak a word. Incredible stuff there Fox
- 49:45Speaker 3: News calling the election for Donald Trump. Of course Tom
- 49:48Speaker 3: Connell here on Sky News bleading them to it. So
- 49:51Speaker 3: that's brilliant stuff. We'll go back to Florida in a
- 49:53Speaker 3: moment and keep that live picture up there. As I
- 49:56Speaker 3: was saying to you Kristen and Paul jd Vance, I
- 49:59Speaker 3: would have thought, give his story, you know, self made
- 50:02Speaker 3: man from the very low socioeconomic classes of the Midwest.
- 50:10Speaker 3: I mean, he would have inspired a lot of people.
- 50:11Speaker 3: I would have thought in that part of the world.
- 50:15Speaker 6: Oh.
- 50:15Speaker 7: Jd Vance was a fantastic pick. The one who's regretting
- 50:18Speaker 7: their VP pick is obviously Kamala Harris.
- 50:21Speaker 4: Tim Waalds is.
- 50:22Speaker 2: The total dudge.
- 50:23Speaker 7: She should have picked Josh Shapiro. Maybe it would have
- 50:25Speaker 7: helped her win Pennsylvania. She may have lost Pennsylvania because
- 50:29Speaker 7: of that choice, all to appease.
- 50:31Speaker 4: The probe and off wing of her party. But Vance
- 50:35Speaker 4: was great.
- 50:35Speaker 7: He's probably going to carry the Maga mantle after this
- 50:39Speaker 7: term with President Trump.
- 50:41Speaker 4: And he's just been.
- 50:41Speaker 7: Fabulous to watch as he gains popularity and his message
- 50:46Speaker 7: and his voice gets out there.
- 50:47Speaker 19: Yeare was a lunching to the list as well. The
- 50:50Speaker 19: blue Wall two of the three hitting Trump's sway as
- 50:53Speaker 19: he starts to make the run. Now to close it
- 50:55Speaker 19: to three hundred of the two of the electoral vertes,
- 50:58Speaker 19: the two sevity needed.
- 51:00Speaker 2: He's going to change the name about ten o'clock this time,
- 51:03Speaker 2: trying to rub it in here.
- 51:04Speaker 19: But he was on his way with the sledgehammer, and
- 51:06Speaker 19: he's knocked two of the big bricks out of that
- 51:08Speaker 19: wall and it has formed.
- 51:10Speaker 3: Yeah, well, the blue Wall becomes a misnomer tonight, doesn't it.
- 51:12Speaker 2: He's turning it into a red wall.
- 51:14Speaker 3: And it is going to be a more emphatic victory
- 51:17Speaker 3: than many people expected, even those who expected him to win.
- 51:20Speaker 2: By taking out the whole of the blue Wall, it.
- 51:22Speaker 3: Looks like it's going to be a very, very comfortable
- 51:25Speaker 3: win when it comes to that electoral college. We also
- 51:29Speaker 3: want to talk about the sort of administration that he's
- 51:32Speaker 3: going to have second time round. Paul Elon Musk is
- 51:35Speaker 3: going to be a fascinating figure. He's going to be
- 51:37Speaker 3: given a job to try and make government more efficient
- 51:40Speaker 3: the richest man in the world, a key advocate for
- 51:43Speaker 3: free speech, and I would have thought there'll be people
- 51:45Speaker 3: in the mainstream media very worried about his influence.
- 51:50Speaker 19: Yeah, yes, I mean he can't say people weren't hiding
- 51:54Speaker 19: in plain sight. I mean at that MSG rally, while
- 51:56Speaker 19: they were focused about what the comedian said, perhaps they
- 51:58Speaker 19: could have paid attention to Elon Musk said, which is
- 52:01Speaker 19: that he thinks is about two trillion dollars in the
- 52:03Speaker 19: federal budget that can be trimmed out again a little,
- 52:06Speaker 19: I'm saying about what is ahead. Right, They have been
- 52:09Speaker 19: hired to make a change. They have made it very
- 52:12Speaker 19: clear how significant that change is going to be. The
- 52:15Speaker 19: law is on their side to do so that the
- 52:18Speaker 19: entrenched nature of this city, like our own capital city,
- 52:23Speaker 19: is going to be hard to move. But also important
- 52:26Speaker 19: to know is who will be sitting around, not necessarily
- 52:29Speaker 19: the cabinet table will all find out together.
- 52:31Speaker 1: But just metaphorically.
- 52:33Speaker 19: I think that the two most decisive moments in the
- 52:36Speaker 19: campaign obviously the assassination attempt, and the second was when
- 52:40Speaker 19: Robert F. Kennedy joined Donald Trump. It was in Las Vegas,
- 52:44Speaker 19: it was a few months ago. And remember that he
- 52:47Speaker 19: was sitting at about five percent in many, many, many
- 52:50Speaker 19: of the states. The Democrats even went to court to
- 52:53Speaker 19: keep his name on the ballot, where he said, I'm
- 52:56Speaker 19: out and I'm in for Trump. That five percent, let's
- 52:58Speaker 19: be really serious here. Who knows where it was going,
- 53:02Speaker 19: but that five percent may well have robbed Donald Trump
- 53:05Speaker 19: of the situation that he's in. So you've got big figures,
- 53:09Speaker 19: big personalities, with all of the ecosystems around them. But
- 53:12Speaker 19: they're here to make a change. They're not here to
- 53:13Speaker 19: muck around. They're not here to be incrementalists and Christen
- 53:16Speaker 19: that in part is why they have been embraced. And
- 53:19Speaker 19: again the media can't pretend that there's a surprise that
- 53:22Speaker 19: marching right into the White House with him is Elon
- 53:25Speaker 19: and rfk J.
- 53:27Speaker 7: And just to to your point, we have seen a
- 53:31Speaker 7: real shift in the US political parties. The fact that
- 53:35Speaker 7: RFKJ is now aligned with Trump and the fact that
- 53:38Speaker 7: Kamala Harris, Liz Chenny, Dick Cheen Kessengering are aligned. I
- 53:43Speaker 7: mean it's and some of the humans, big farm of
- 53:45Speaker 7: big establishment against the people.
- 53:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and some of the unions or teamsters as you
- 53:49Speaker 3: call them, align lining up for Trump. So there's there's
- 53:52Speaker 3: that shift where mainstream Australia America is lining up with
- 53:56Speaker 3: the Republicans, and because the Democrats abandoned, they go.
- 54:00Speaker 2: Two fats to the left Stadia.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Guys, I just want to jump into this because we
- 54:03Speaker 3: want to reply Fox News declaring the election just now.
- 54:08Speaker 9: The Fox News Decision desk can now officially project that
- 54:12Speaker 9: Donald Trump will become the forty seventh President of the
- 54:17Speaker 9: United States.
- 54:18Speaker 18: The foreign presidents come back will be complete with a
- 54:21Speaker 18: win in Wisconsin, a state that he narrowly lost four
- 54:24Speaker 18: years ago. He is now the second president in US
- 54:28Speaker 18: history to win non consecutive terms, the first with Grover
- 54:32Speaker 18: Cleveland in the late eighteen hundreds.
- 54:35Speaker 2: Senator J. D.
- 54:36Speaker 18: Vance will become the fiftieth Vice president of the United States.
- 54:40Speaker 18: Voters express deep frustration with the Biden administration and foreign
- 54:45Speaker 18: President Trump and the future President. Trump overperformed in urban areas,
- 54:51Speaker 18: particularly with men, proving that the strategy that they doubled
- 54:54Speaker 18: and tripled down on over the course of the last
- 54:57Speaker 18: few months absolutely and brought him back to the White House.
- 55:02Speaker 9: Forty seventh President of the United States. Foreign President Trump
- 55:05Speaker 9: now defeats Vice President Kamala Harris, who entered this race
- 55:09Speaker 9: just over one hundred days ago.
- 55:12Speaker 3: There you go, the first major network declaring the election
- 55:15Speaker 3: in the United States at about one forty five a m.
- 55:18Speaker 3: Eastern time in the US. A lot of people would
- 55:21Speaker 3: have missed it. But we'll wait and see what the
- 55:23Speaker 3: other networks do in coming hours, coming minutes, coming hours.
- 55:27Speaker 3: Tom Connell here on Sky News called it about fifteen
- 55:30Speaker 3: minutes ago. We'll keep those live pictures up from Florida,
- 55:33Speaker 3: where we are expecting to hear from Donald Trump any
- 55:36Speaker 3: moment now. Perhaps that call from Fox News will usher
- 55:40Speaker 3: him out onto the stage as as soon as possible,
- 55:42Speaker 3: where thousands of supporters are waiting to celebrate.
- 55:47Speaker 2: Him, thank him, applaud him, and hear from him.
- 55:50Speaker 3: But Donald Trump will return to the White House on
- 55:53Speaker 3: January the twentieth next year, when he's inaugurated for the
- 55:56Speaker 3: second time, as you just heard, only the second president
- 55:59Speaker 3: ever to end up with two non consecutive terms.
- 56:02Speaker 2: Let's go back to Washington.
- 56:04Speaker 8: D C.
- 56:04Speaker 3: The heart of the base, where Christen Tates and Paul
- 56:07Speaker 3: Murray have been all over for us. Kristen, what are
- 56:11Speaker 3: you getting from your political nights around the country? Is
- 56:14Speaker 3: everybody pulling an old Ita in the States or are
- 56:18Speaker 3: they staying up to watch this or it's obviously quite
- 56:21Speaker 3: a bit earlier in the West.
- 56:23Speaker 2: What's going on.
- 56:26Speaker 7: Of course, everybody's staying awake. This has been the biggest moment.
- 56:30Speaker 7: Everybody's been waiting for this for years. I've gotten phone
- 56:34Speaker 7: calls from my liberal friends crying and tears.
- 56:36Speaker 4: They just can't believe it.
- 56:37Speaker 7: And then I've gotten phone calls from my conservative friends.
- 56:40Speaker 7: We're just jumping up and down so excited. I think
- 56:43Speaker 7: people kind of sensed he might win over last week.
- 56:46Speaker 7: We saw that the momentum was with him in some
- 56:48Speaker 7: of the polls, but just the decisiveness of this win.
- 56:51Speaker 4: Is shocking to everybody.
- 56:54Speaker 7: So I think most of America is up watching the
- 56:56Speaker 7: news right now.
- 56:58Speaker 4: Mixed emotions for sure. DC is weirdly quiet.
- 57:01Speaker 7: To Nate believe, we don't see any social unrest here.
- 57:05Speaker 19: Well, I'll say the sunrise from here, it's going to
- 57:07Speaker 19: be fantastic, a new day in America.
- 57:10Speaker 2: I did that four years ago.
- 57:11Speaker 3: Yeah, it'll be a new America dawning with Donald Trump. Now, Kristian,
- 57:16Speaker 3: I just want to ask you about that social or unrest,
- 57:18Speaker 3: because again, the media spins this all the other way
- 57:20Speaker 3: because of January the sixth, which was shocking and inexcusable.
- 57:25Speaker 3: But they're suggesting really that if Trump loses there would
- 57:28Speaker 3: be a civil unrest.
- 57:29Speaker 2: That's not the historic record.
- 57:31Speaker 3: The history shows us that when Trump wins, it's Democrat
- 57:35Speaker 3: supporters who engage in violence and rights. We saw that
- 57:39Speaker 3: in twenty sixteen. So there'll be concerns in places like Washington,
- 57:43Speaker 3: d C. In New York City, perhaps in Portland, Oregon,
- 57:46Speaker 3: and these sorts of places that we might see the.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Left arc up in coming hours and days.
- 57:53Speaker 7: Yes, I pray that everything is calm. Of course, we
- 57:56Speaker 7: saw the left create a lot of destruction during the
- 58:00Speaker 7: BLM riots. We saw entire cities burned down.
- 58:03Speaker 4: So you know, my.
- 58:04Speaker 7: Hope is that America is just exhausted with the tension
- 58:09Speaker 7: at this point and we can accept these results and
- 58:12Speaker 7: move forward as a country. We'll see what Trump says
- 58:14Speaker 7: in his speech. This is a really big moment for him.
- 58:16Speaker 7: Hopefully he will make it clear that he is going
- 58:19Speaker 7: to work for all Americans, even the ones that didn't
- 58:22Speaker 7: vote for him. He's pretty good at that. He's the
- 58:25Speaker 7: kind of guy who I think really wants the best
- 58:27Speaker 7: for this country. So I'm hoping everything stays calm. As
- 58:31Speaker 7: I said, right now, DC is very quiet.
- 58:34Speaker 2: So great to talk to you again tonight. Christian.
- 58:38Speaker 3: You've been fantastic on US politics for US over the
- 58:40Speaker 3: past couple of years, and your coverage tonight has been fantastic.
- 58:43Speaker 3: Paul Murray, great to catch up with you again. Mike,
- 58:45Speaker 3: you've been just smashing it over there, and you'll be
- 58:47Speaker 3: back at nine o'clock and throughout the night.
- 58:49Speaker 2: Of course.
- 58:49Speaker 3: Just before we finish up this hour, though, I want
- 58:51Speaker 3: to cross back down to Florida and get a sense
- 58:54Speaker 3: of the looming arrival of soon to be president again
- 58:58Speaker 3: Donald Trump from Pete Steff and Ivanck to move here,
- 59:01Speaker 3: any movement of the station made.
- 59:05Speaker 6: Still pretty fessive.
- 59:06Speaker 20: I mean, you've got those thousands of Trunk supporters who are.
- 59:10Speaker 6: Just behind me now we're waiting for him to come out. Really,
- 59:12Speaker 6: I mean, most of them have got a beer in
- 59:13Speaker 6: their hand or a wine in their hand, and they
- 59:15Speaker 6: haven't been drinking me some time.
- 59:16Speaker 8: But yeah, the main event now is waiting for the
- 59:21Speaker 8: champion of the evening, their champion, the forty seventh President
- 59:25Speaker 8: of the United States, Donald Trump.
- 59:27Speaker 6: Now you know what's interesting, Chris is.
- 59:29Speaker 20: And this may well be a warning for Anthony ALBANIZI
- 59:32Speaker 20: I think, and it was for Stephen Miles unsuccessfully.
- 59:37Speaker 6: At the last Queensland election.
- 59:38Speaker 20: Donald Trump on the campaign trail kept asking that question,
- 59:42Speaker 20: are you better.
- 59:43Speaker 6: Off now than when you were four years ago?
- 59:46Speaker 20: For the most people I was talking to while I
- 59:49Speaker 20: was on the campaign trail, people said no. People say
- 59:52Speaker 20: I've got less money in my wallet in my purse
- 59:55Speaker 20: that I did four years ago, and that's what led
- 59:58Speaker 20: them to vote.
- 59:59Speaker 2: That's it. That's it in a nutshell. Thanks Pete, appreciate it,
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: Pete Stefanovic.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: They're live from Florida. He'll stay there, we will stay
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: with it. We will cross here on Sky News Live
- 1:00:09Speaker 3: to Florida. When Donald Trump fronts that gathering, claims victory
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: and is embraced by that crowd. Donald Trump has won
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: his way back to the White House. They demonized him,
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: They threw the civil lawsuits at him, criminal charges at him,
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: they tried to jail him.
- 1:00:26Speaker 2: He survived.
- 1:00:27Speaker 3: An assassin's bullet would be assassin's bullet. But now he's
- 1:00:30Speaker 3: going back to the White House. Here's Peter Quidlin
