Two New K9 Officers Honor Fallen Officer | Charleston News
Mount Pleasant’s police force just welcomed two new sworn-in K9 officers, K9 Vaughn and K9 Kee — Belgian Malinois bred for tracking, narcotics detection, and suspect apprehension — now bringing the department’s K9 unit to six. Named in honor of fallen Officer Vaughn Edward Kee, who died in the line of duty 40 years ago, these dogs are already on patrol, enhancing the department’s ability to find missing persons, bust drug operations, and tackle dangerous threats — carrying forward a legacy of courage and service.
